- 0:22Speaker 1: Hello, it's that time of year again, the spooky time.
- 0:28Are you ready for a Halloween adventure? Yes, then buckle up,
- 0:35but first close your eyes and settle down in your
- 0:40nice comfy bed. Take a deep breath in, and then
- 0:46slowly and gently let the breath out again, deep breath in.
- 0:55Then slowly and gently let the breath out one more time.
- 1:03Deep breath in, and slowly and gently let the breath out,
- 1:10and just relax. Now, imagine that's Halloween evening and you
- 1:21are going to go out trick or treating. You walk
- 1:25up a path to a very scary looking house and
- 1:30there are huge candles burning all around it and a
- 1:34lot of other odd things. It's a bit scary, but
- 1:38there are also large pumpkins everywhere. There are some small ones,
- 1:43but that are some very very big ones. And just
- 1:48as you're about to knock on the door, you hear
- 1:51a voice call out to you. You look around, but
- 1:55you can't see anyone. Think that's a bit odd. Raise
- 2:00your hand again to knock on the door. When you
- 2:03hear the voice again, only this time it's a bit louder,
- 2:08and you stop and you say who's there? And a
- 2:12voice answers you and he says.
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's me.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm down here. You look around, still can't see anything.
- 2:21I'm down here. So just by the side of the
- 2:24door you see a very large pumpkin and it looks
- 2:29back at you and smiles. Was kind of a weird
- 2:31smile where it still smiles. Well, that's a bit of
- 2:36a surprise. A talking pumpkin. Oh my word. And to
- 2:41your amazement, the pumpkin then stand up on his own
- 2:45two feet. He has feet, a pumpkin, he has feet.
- 2:51He reaches out his hand to here. Oh no, he's
- 2:53got hands as well. He looks at you and he smiles,
- 2:59and he holds out his hand, and he says, oh,
- 3:02my name is Fred, and I wonder if you could
- 3:04help me. This pumpkin has hands and feet on two
- 3:10little legs. He gives you a great big grin on
- 3:14a little laugh, and he says you look very surprised
- 3:16to see him stand up and talk. Well, you splutter
- 3:19a little bit, and he said, well, well, yes, you've
- 3:22never seen him talking pumpkin before. Fred then asks you
- 3:27for your help. He explains that he lives on Pumpkin
- 3:33Island with all of his brothers and sisters, and on
- 3:37the island where they live. The evil ogres are trying
- 3:41to steal that island, which has been the home of
- 3:44the pumpkins for thousands of years. And you say, of
- 3:48course you will help him, and you ask him what
- 3:51do you have to do. Fred says that he will
- 3:54take you to Pumpkin Island, but you will have to
- 3:57go through a portal to reach it. Out a magic
- 4:00wand waves it in the earth. Then suddenly a doorway
- 4:04appears from nowhere. The portal is shiny and sparkly, and
- 4:09Fred tells you that you both have to step through it.
- 4:14He tells you not to worry, though, it only takes
- 4:15seconds and then you would be on the island. So
- 4:20you follow him through the portal, and before you can
- 4:22say Pumpkin Island, you are already there. Wow, how amazing
- 4:28was that? Just ahead of you you see a ginormous pumpkin.
- 4:34It is huge. It's the size of a very large castle.
- 4:40It is Pumpkin Palace. Fred says he's taking you to
- 4:45see the Queen of the Pumpkins, and this is where
- 4:47she lives. Fred tells you that this is a very
- 4:52special place and that they use magic here, but only
- 4:55for good things. Now, and they all have magic ones.
- 5:02You reach the palace and enter through massive wooden doors,
- 5:06and you find yourself in a great hall, and at
- 5:09the end of the hall sits the Pumpkin Queen on
- 5:12a beautiful golden throne. As you near her, the queen
- 5:18gives you a lovely smile and explains that there are
- 5:20some very large ogres on the island and they are
- 5:24trying to steal it from the pumpkins because they think
- 5:27that this island is much nicer than theirs, so they
- 5:30want to live here. They want to get rid of
- 5:32all the pumpkins. That's not very nice, is it. The
- 5:36queen thanks you for helping them, and then she hands
- 5:40you your very own magic wand to grant you pumpkin magic,
- 5:45but she says you can only use it once a day,
- 5:49so be very wise how you use it. The queen
- 5:55tells you that you will have help to rid the
- 5:57ocres from the island, and then introduces you to two
- 6:01of her children, a boy and a girl pumpkin, who
- 6:04are brother and sister, and they are generals in the
- 6:08Pumpkin Army. The girl pumpkin is called Sylvie and the
- 6:13boy pumpkin is called Zach. They both smile at you
- 6:16and say hello, and you're still trying to get your
- 6:18head around the fact that they've got hands and feet
- 6:21and that they talk. Next comes to skeleton, whose bones
- 6:27are shaking and rattling rather a lot, and his name
- 6:30is Boning. He's a bit of a scaredy cat, really,
- 6:33but he really is a good soldier in the Queen's army.
- 6:38There is also a huge, giant and super strong mummy,
- 6:42all wrapped up in bandages, and her name is Samantha.
- 6:47She's a bit scary looking, but isn't that what you
- 6:51want when you need to scare off the ogres. Lastly,
- 6:55there is a vampire girl who flies, and she is
- 6:59the bravest of them all. Nothing scarce there at all nothing.
- 7:04Her name is Savannah. The Queen tells you that this
- 7:10is the little brave army of soldiers who will help you.
- 7:14So the seven of you set off in search of
- 7:17the ogres and to chase them off the island. So now,
- 7:22for just a little while, go off with the little
- 7:24army and save Pumpkin Island. Do it your way with
- 7:29the help of your newfound friends, chase off the ogres
- 7:33and let them know that this is Pumpkin Island and
- 7:36it always will be and they have to go back
- 7:39to their own home.

- 11:28Speaker 1: Wow, that was fantastic. You've saved Pumpkin Island from the
- 11:34ogres and you are so very, very brave. But now
- 11:38it's time to return to the palace and tell the
- 11:41Queen that all is good for Pumpkin Island. The ogres
- 11:46have been chased away. You reached the Queen sitting on
- 11:51a throne and tell her all about saving the island,
- 11:55and she is so grateful. The Queen thanks you very
- 11:59much for saving Pumpkin Island, and in return for your bravery,
- 12:04she gives you a very special magic key, and this
- 12:08key grants you access to Pumpkin Island any time you
- 12:12want to come back. The Queen makes you an honorary Pumpkin.
- 12:19She also invites you to have a sleepover with them,
- 12:22and of course you are delighted and say you would
- 12:25like that very much. So your new friend Fred takes
- 12:31you to your very own room, which has a very
- 12:34large bed with a pumpkin quilt and pillows on it.
- 12:39You climb up onto the bed because you're very tired
- 12:42now and after all you have had a very busy day.
- 12:48You say good night to Fred and lie down under
- 12:51the soft and squishy quilt, and you give a big
- 12:55sigh of contentment and close your eyes, still holding your
- 12:59magic key, and your body begins to feel completely relaxed now,
- 13:07and it's starting to feel a bit heavy, so you
- 13:11take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly
- 13:15and gently blow it out from your mouth. You take
- 13:21another deep breath and slowly and gently blow it out
- 13:27from your mouth, and you feel a gentle wave of
- 13:32sleeping and starting at your feet. You can feel your
- 13:35toes going to sleep. It feels all warm and tingly
- 13:38and ever so soft. You feel a soothing wave of
- 13:43sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins. You feel
- 13:47going up your thighs, and you think the legs have
- 13:50already gone to sleep. I think they probably have to.
- 13:55You feel so very tired now, so sleepy, happy, and
- 14:01this beautiful wave of sleepiness travels all the way up
- 14:05your body and down your arms and into your hands,
- 14:09making your body feel very very heavy, very very tired,
- 14:15and very very sleepy. This gentle, warm wave of sleepiness
- 14:21travels up your face and over the top of your
- 14:24head and down the back of your neck. Oh, and
- 14:27you feel so tired now, so so sleepy that you
- 14:32feel very peaceful, very relaxed, so relaxed, so very very sleepy.
- 14:41Now you just want to sleep. But when you wake
- 14:46up in the morning, you will still have your key
- 14:49tucked safely away until you need to visit Pumpkin Island
- 14:53once again. And remember you are safe, you are and
- 15:01you are protected always fine night.
