- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a Lilypad production.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hello LeapFrogs and welcome back to Fandemonium. This is a
- 0:07Speaker 2: very special episode as producer Jen stepped into the hosting chair, wrote, produced,
- 0:14Speaker 2: and hosted this Gossip Girl themed Fandemonium. On top of
- 0:19Speaker 2: this being a fantastic episode that Jen wrote and produced,
- 0:23Speaker 2: I also want to thank Jen just for doing this.
- 0:26Speaker 2: It takes more time and energy than I'd like to
- 0:28Speaker 2: admit to make an episode of Fandemonium. So to have
- 0:31Speaker 2: a friend offer to write and host an episode, to
- 0:35Speaker 2: give me a two-week break from this production cycle was
- 0:39Speaker 2: just such a treat and means a whole lot. So
- 0:42Speaker 2: thank you so much, Jen. I hope I've done it
- 0:45Speaker 2: some kind of justice in the edit. I just got
- 0:48Speaker 2: finished editing the episode. It was a joy to listen to.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It was a joy to experience from the outside. Especially
- 0:56Speaker 2: as Jen also curated a lineup of people I love
- 1:00Speaker 2: so much. So this was just such a joy. Ash
- 1:03Speaker 2: and Taylor, who have been holding down our reality TV
- 1:06Speaker 2: episodes annually. They were our gossip girl experts. Yes, I'm
- 1:11Speaker 2: going to hold you to that standard because you were
- 1:13Speaker 2: saying things throughout this that I had no clue about.
- 1:17Speaker 2: You know like when the guys at the Comic Con
- 1:19Speaker 2: are just talking about superheroes and you're like, what?
- 1:22Speaker 3: What?
- 1:23Speaker 2: That This was the femme equivalent of that. And I
- 1:26Speaker 2: think I can be so gendered about it because it's
- 1:29Speaker 2: Gossip Girl. With Audra and Julia rounding out the panel
- 1:33Speaker 2: to make this. Just what a joy this was to
- 1:36Speaker 2: listen to. Just my friends recording a podcast. And look,
- 1:40Speaker 2: I enjoyed the proof of concept that this show can
- 1:43Speaker 2: work without me.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I love that.
- 1:45Speaker 2: At GateleapersPod on Instagram to see a clip or two
- 1:48Speaker 2: from this show. patreon.com forward slash gateleapers to get access
- 1:53Speaker 2: to the video episodes. That's for this and like 50
- 1:57Speaker 2: plus previous episodes at this point. I'll be back at
- 2:00Speaker 2: the end to shout out our executive producers. But for now,
- 2:03Speaker 2: please enjoy this Gossip Girl Fandemonium.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Hello, and welcome to Fandomonium, the pop culture game show
- 2:35Speaker 3: that shines a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. And who
- 2:39Speaker 3: am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. XOXO.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Just kidding, it's Jen, and I'm your game master today.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I kicked Matt out of the chair. But a game
- 2:48Speaker 3: master needs games, and games needs players. So please welcome first, Audra, comedian, podcaster,
- 2:54Speaker 3: and woman in STEM, which today stands for So Teens
- 2:58Speaker 3: Engage Meanly.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 3:03Speaker 3: And Taylor, Master of Crows, artist extraordinaire, doing business and
- 3:07Speaker 3: helping people. Taylor!
- 3:10Speaker 5: Yay!
- 3:12Speaker 1: Hello. Incredible.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Hello. How are we doing?
- 3:18Speaker 6: I'm doing so good. I started this can of Baja
- 3:22Speaker 6: Blast at like 11 a.m. Hell yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 3: At least it's zero sugar.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Yes.
- 3:27Speaker 6: Yes. And I am Baja blasted. And I'm so excited
- 3:31Speaker 6: about this episode.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Well, if we're sharing our drinks, I'm also doing well.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I have coffee.
- 3:37Speaker 7: I have lion's mane tea and I have water in
- 3:40Speaker 7: front of me. So that combined with the cold medicine,
- 3:43Speaker 7: I think I'm like hopped up for success of some sort.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 1: What a great cocktail of beverages.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Love it. So tell me about your connection to Gossip Girl,
- 3:53Speaker 3: our show for the day.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Um, I am vaguely aware that Gossip Girl exists. I
- 4:05Speaker 6: have used XOXO Gossip Girl as a sign-off for years.
- 4:11Speaker 6: No context. I watched a solid amount in preparation for this.
- 4:18Speaker 6: I could not be left out because this is such
- 4:20Speaker 6: a fun group. I watched so many summary videos. Generally,
- 4:25Speaker 6: so many summary videos, I probably could have watched a
- 4:27Speaker 6: solid percentage of the show in the time it took
- 4:31Speaker 6: me to watch all of these summary videos, but oh boy.
- 4:34Speaker 6: I think I have a vague awareness of most of
- 4:39Speaker 6: the major plot beats.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Oh, honey.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Oh, honey, I don't know.
- 4:45Speaker 7: I don't know if you do, because let me tell you,
- 4:48Speaker 7: this show has goldmine after goldmine after goldmine. My relationship
- 4:53Speaker 7: to it is deep. It is long lasting. It is intimate.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I first started in college.
- 5:03Speaker 7: It was my first like binge through because I had
- 5:06Speaker 7: a friend in college who was watching it. And most
- 5:10Speaker 7: of my friends are like shocked because I don't come
- 5:12Speaker 7: off as somebody who would love Gossip Girl maybe. But
- 5:15Speaker 7: let me tell you, I fucking love this show. The
- 5:18Speaker 7: writers are genius. They're brilliant. And it takes you on
- 5:24Speaker 7: a roller coaster ride every single episode. And then through
- 5:29Speaker 7: every season, I mean, it's endless. Your tummy is flipping, flipping, flipping, flipping.
- 5:34Speaker 7: You cannot keep up with it. And yet you must
- 5:37Speaker 7: keep up with it. So I, I would, you know,
- 5:41Speaker 7: I watched it in college. I did a watch through
- 5:43Speaker 7: again during the pandemic. And now I don't, I started
- 5:48Speaker 7: to watch the summary videos and then I said, this
- 5:50Speaker 7: isn't cutting it. And I went and I have binged
- 5:54Speaker 7: like key episodes of the last six seasons over the
- 5:58Speaker 7: last two to three weeks.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And, and I'm a mother. I'm a, I'm a mother.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And the amount of time I.
- 6:06Speaker 7: Have dedicated to this for you all here today, it
- 6:10Speaker 7: shows real passion, grit, integrity, and, um, and, uh, a desire.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I love that so, so much.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Gosh, I'm so I'm very happy with this. Are you
- 6:24Speaker 3: feeling better, Audra? Oh, yes.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I the only thing that I have in my head
- 6:31Speaker 6: is like the the like I said, the plot beats
- 6:34Speaker 6: and just that shot over the shoulder of someone binging cancer.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 1: That's the only things that I have in my head.
- 6:42Speaker 3: One of my favorite like aggressive product placements in the show.
- 6:47Speaker 6: God they were really promoting cancer man.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I'll wait.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Someone will tell me they just wanted everyone to use
- 7:00Speaker 3: bing oh yeah it was yeah it was a bing
- 7:03Speaker 3: advertisement and there was a like oh what medication is
- 7:08Speaker 3: this which they misspelled on the bottle And she was
- 7:12Speaker 3: binging cancer to see if it was a medication that
- 7:14Speaker 3: would be given to someone experiencing cancer.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I love a TV looking on the.
- 7:19Speaker 8: Internet at how they do their Boolean searches.
- 7:23Speaker 3: She just, I almost said Googled in Bing. She just Googled.
- 7:30Speaker 1: In Bing the word cancer.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I know what you mean.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 3: And Bing was ready. Bing was ready to answer all
- 7:38Speaker 3: of her questions. Alrighty, amazing. It sounds like we have
- 7:41Speaker 3: a really great balance between vibes and knowledge on this team.
- 7:46Speaker 3: But you will need some opponents. So welcome, on the
- 7:49Speaker 3: other side, master of spiders, artist extraordinaire, and vibe curator, Ashwood. Hi.
- 7:56Speaker 3: And her teammate, Julia, which, in their own words, is
- 8:00Speaker 3: an X-Man with really bad power. Yeah. How we doing?
- 8:04Speaker 8: I'm doing good. I'm proud of myself for that. I
- 8:09Speaker 8: think it describes my neurodivergence really well.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I love that so much.
- 8:15Speaker 8: But yeah, I when you when you asked or I
- 8:18Speaker 8: was asked if I knew anything about Gossip.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Girl at first, I was like, no. And I was like, wait.
- 8:23Speaker 8: And then it was just like, oh, wait, I was
- 8:25Speaker 8: in high school when this was happening and I was
- 8:27Speaker 8: watching it.
- 8:29Speaker 1: So, no, in fact, I do. It's in there. A
- 8:33Speaker 1: sleeper agent. I activated a sleeper agent. Basically, it's like
- 8:36Speaker 1: I hadn't thought about this in years, but it's there.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Amazing. And Ash, how are we doing?
- 8:44Speaker 4: I think I'm doing all right. Let's, um, whenever you
- 8:48Speaker 4: asked me to do this several weeks ago, I was like, okay,
- 8:50Speaker 4: I'm going to have to do a rewatch because I
- 8:52Speaker 4: don't remember the last time I watched this. I think
- 8:53Speaker 4: I'm similar to most, uh, who watched it maybe, uh,
- 8:57Speaker 4: late teens, college era, um, watching this show.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Um, and then I probably watched it.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Jen and I lived together for a period and I'm
- 9:06Speaker 4: sure we watched it, uh, during that time because we
- 9:08Speaker 4: watched a lot of good stuff. Obviously this was on
- 9:11Speaker 4: the list. Um, So then I started, you know, from
- 9:15Speaker 4: season one, we started watching. There are, I'm not shitting you,
- 9:19Speaker 4: 25 episodes per season, except for season six, I think.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Or like somewhere around that.
- 9:26Speaker 4: I think I made it until like midway season two
- 9:29Speaker 4: before I was like, oh my God, I'm going to
- 9:31Speaker 4: have to listen to recaps because I do not have
- 9:34Speaker 4: enough time. And mind you, I committed to this in
- 9:37Speaker 4: a way that was listening to it as a podcast
- 9:41Speaker 4: while I was working every day because I was like,
- 9:43Speaker 4: I got to get through these episodes.
- 9:46Speaker 5: And... I'm telling you guys, I really did try.
- 9:49Speaker 4: And then because the recap, Jen did send us all
- 9:53Speaker 4: the same recap, didn't have a season six. So I
- 9:56Speaker 4: had to binge season six like yesterday because I was like,
- 9:59Speaker 4: I don't. finish that and i don't even think i
- 10:02Speaker 4: finished the last episode which i think i remember but
- 10:05Speaker 4: hopefully there's not a specific question about that because that's
- 10:07Speaker 4: going to be a hard time um But yeah, I
- 10:11Speaker 4: also prepared by wearing my proper uniform. I see that
- 10:15Speaker 4: nobody else has their headbands on.
- 10:19Speaker 6: I was literally like, I have zero headbands at my house.
- 10:21Speaker 6: Otherwise it would be on my head. The only headband
- 10:25Speaker 6: I have. I sewed a fake plushy rat too, so
- 10:29Speaker 6: that I could pretend to be ratatouille. Um, and I
- 10:32Speaker 6: can't remove it because I keep putting it on my cat.
- 10:35Speaker 6: Like a rat is riding him like a cowboy. And
- 10:38Speaker 6: I just couldn't sacrifice that. I just, I could not
- 10:42Speaker 6: do so.
- 10:44Speaker 1: That's more incredible. But I thought about it.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Priorities.
- 10:47Speaker 5: Yeah. Makes sense.
- 10:49Speaker 8: But I appreciate your effort. Both in costume and in research.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Got that dog in you yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It's just it like somebody else said we're just very
- 11:01Speaker 4: passionate you know this is very this is an excellently
- 11:04Speaker 4: written show we enjoy it very much it's been a
- 11:08Speaker 4: wild ride the last several weeks and it's been fun
- 11:11Speaker 4: recapping to my co-worker who hasn't ever seen.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It whenever something crazy.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Happened it's been fun oh it's.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Always so fun to out of context just say a
- 11:20Speaker 3: sentence from this show and everyone be like uh-huh You're like,
- 11:24Speaker 3: you just got.
- 11:25Speaker 1: To be there.
- 11:25Speaker 3: You just got to watch it.
- 11:27Speaker 6: We'll do a long-term prank where I convince someone I
- 11:30Speaker 6: know these people and it's just plot beat.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Just like, yes.
- 11:36Speaker 6: And then she came back and no one expected that
- 11:38Speaker 6: she was going to come back. Like we haven't seen
- 11:40Speaker 6: her in years.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Where has she been? Where has she been? She won't
- 11:43Speaker 1: tell us.
- 11:44Speaker 3: She just won't tell us.
- 11:46Speaker 7: That's essentially been my household with my husband, Derek. As
- 11:51Speaker 7: I've been watching it through, he'll be like, He started
- 11:53Speaker 7: to get sucked in. He now wants to do a
- 11:55Speaker 7: full episode by episode watch through.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I put Chris through that early on in the marriage.
- 12:03Speaker 3: And I was like, you have to do it. We
- 12:05Speaker 3: were like exchanging shows that we've watched. And I was like,
- 12:08Speaker 3: we got to watch through it. And he was like,
- 12:10Speaker 3: by like season three, he was like, what is happening?
- 12:14Speaker 3: I don't know. Buckle up. There's three more seasons.
- 12:21Speaker 5: So.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I love that so much. Well, okay, teams, this speakeasy
- 12:25Speaker 3: isn't going to buy itself. So I'd like each pair
- 12:29Speaker 3: to come up with a Gossip Girl-themed team name, please.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And we're going to start with Taylor and Audra.
- 12:36Speaker 7: Audra, for the first time in our entire lives, I
- 12:40Speaker 7: come to you with a name idea.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's happening. Okay, hang on.
- 12:48Speaker 7: And now don't get too excited because I don't think
- 12:52Speaker 7: Matt will let us use it as our team name
- 12:54Speaker 7: in production.
- 12:55Speaker 3: It's too long.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I'm Game Master.
- 12:58Speaker 5: You're Matt.
- 12:59Speaker 3: You can figure out the SEO. Oh, fantastic. Okay.
- 13:03Speaker 7: Well, we'll see if Jen lets us use this. And
- 13:08Speaker 7: I wrote this down in early watch through. It's www.ihaterufushumphrey.gov.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Dot gov yeah.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Dot gov dot gov dot gov is important it's the
- 13:26Speaker 3: most important and why I rely on the dot gov
- 13:30Speaker 3: here is because as we all learned in elementary citation
- 13:35Speaker 3: courses if it ends in dot gov we can trust
- 13:38Speaker 3: it now let's release the current administration and and political
- 13:42Speaker 3: environment we all went to college 10 years ago it's
- 13:45Speaker 3: okay we were in college yes and gossip girl era
- 13:49Speaker 3: and so dark of implies you know a level of
- 13:52Speaker 3: authority and i needed to convey that because i feel
- 13:56Speaker 3: this so strongly so deeply i wrote this in season
- 13:59Speaker 3: two that's and at the end of season six which
- 14:02Speaker 3: i did finish at 2 a.m last night I can
- 14:05Speaker 3: confirm I still fucking hate Rufus Humphrey. So www.ihaterufushumphrey.gov is
- 14:12Speaker 3: the first suggestion.
- 14:14Speaker 7: And then the second suggestion, Jen, which will be easier
- 14:18Speaker 7: for you to manage, is Blair's bitches. Because I'd love
- 14:24Speaker 7: to be a bitch of Blair.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 14:26Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I like those. Those are so good.
- 14:30Speaker 6: Mine, I do think, I think mine are cheap shots,
- 14:32Speaker 6: and I don't think they're going to win out against www.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah,..
- 14:38Speaker 5: Com.
- 14:41Speaker 6: Which is how I would buzz in if that ever
- 14:46Speaker 6: needed to happen. So the ones that I had, because
- 14:52Speaker 6: it's Upper East Siders.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Lower West Bottoms was one of them because I was like,
- 15:04Speaker 6: what's the opposite of that?
- 15:06Speaker 3: Just other words.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Yes.
- 15:08Speaker 1: And then.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Rise, Shine, Revive because that's just three different names of
- 15:17Speaker 6: vitamin waters.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. That's pretty funny.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Or refresh focus essential or whatever combination we thought was appropriate.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But I just, I'm just so enamored with dot gov.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I love it.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I would, if you made daily posts on that, I
- 15:46Speaker 3: would be Google subscribe. Tell me when there's a new
- 15:49Speaker 3: entry on this website. Like, When we finish this, Taylor's
- 15:54Speaker 3: going to start a sub stack. And then for.
- 16:05Speaker 7: Purposes of production in the game, we could shorten it
- 16:09Speaker 7: to www.gov and let the listener find out what we
- 16:16Speaker 7: care about.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And just remove all show context.
- 16:21Speaker 3: From our team.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I feel like that's what it's like anyway.
- 16:25Speaker 8: Usually I have to listen to the episode to understand
- 16:29Speaker 8: some of the names.
- 16:31Speaker 1: They make very little sense out of context.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Okay. Well, I love that so much. Ash and Julia,
- 16:39Speaker 3: what do you got?
- 16:39Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:42Speaker 8: I'd love to hear yours because they're probably not as
- 16:45Speaker 8: bad as mine.
- 16:47Speaker 5: Okay. I'm going to be honest.
- 16:49Speaker 4: I thought about a muse, but I did not think
- 16:52Speaker 4: about a name, but I was along the same lines, Taylor,
- 16:57Speaker 4: except mine was Dan Humphrey sucks because Dan Humphrey sucks. Um,
- 17:05Speaker 4: but you know, that's an obvious statement to use. Um,
- 17:10Speaker 4: you know, we could probably find something.
- 17:12Speaker 5: I don't know. There's just a lot. I don't, I
- 17:15Speaker 5: didn't think I can throw mine out there.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I can throw mine out there. I've got go piss girl.
- 17:21Speaker 8: Cause that's very relevant to my daily, like just language use. Um,
- 17:26Speaker 8: and then the other one I came up with was
- 17:28Speaker 8: Blake Waldorf salad.
- 17:31Speaker 9: Um, that's hilarious i think you got one yeah brilliant
- 17:45Speaker 9: incredible okay so i heard both blake and blair at
- 17:49Speaker 9: the same time are we using her name.
- 17:51Speaker 8: We're using blair waldorf i heard blake waldorf i think
- 17:56Speaker 8: i said that and i was like did i.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Say that right it's an it's you know no it's
- 18:01Speaker 1: I want it to be Blair. I don't fucking care
- 18:03Speaker 1: about Blake Lively.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I think we're like mixing some people together, which is fun,
- 18:09Speaker 3: but just want to make sure I have it right.
- 18:10Speaker 1: You know what?
- 18:13Speaker 3: And snaps for relevant team names, you know, on the rails,
- 18:18Speaker 3: relevant team names. Proud of us for that.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 18:23Speaker 3: So just before we get into today's games, I've asked
- 18:26Speaker 3: each player to bring in a muse, something that inspires
- 18:28Speaker 3: them or something they love from this particular fandom. Gossip
- 18:31Speaker 3: Girl is inspiring to me because it was one of
- 18:33Speaker 3: the shows that my sister and I bonded over a
- 18:36Speaker 3: very long time ago when it was first coming out.
- 18:39Speaker 3: She would burn episodes onto blank CDs for me about
- 18:42Speaker 3: four episodes at a time and feed them to me
- 18:45Speaker 3: because my mom didn't know I was watching the show.
- 18:48Speaker 3: So I would watch them at night by myself and
- 18:51Speaker 3: then we would trade out and she would give me
- 18:52Speaker 3: the next disc. That's so sweet. That was my early
- 18:58Speaker 3: memories of Gossip Girl.
- 19:00Speaker 6: And how Gossip Girl, yeah, for it to be like
- 19:04Speaker 6: the layers, the meta layers there.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Oh, what a delightful experience. Yeah, so good.
- 19:10Speaker 3: And I think I may still have some of the CDs,
- 19:13Speaker 3: but they were all unmarked. So, like, they're just... I
- 19:17Speaker 3: don't know, like, if.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Incredible.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Russian roulette, baby. Silver CD.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah. So, Ash, we're going to start with you.
- 19:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:29Speaker 4: So my muse for this particular situation here is all
- 19:34Speaker 4: the characters that we never see again. So, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 4: we lose a little J. We don't see her again
- 19:42Speaker 4: for like a good portion. We lose Eric. We lose,
- 19:47Speaker 4: you know, a Damien Delgarde.
- 19:49Speaker 5: We lose.
- 19:51Speaker 4: A whatever the Archibald's grouping.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Of political folk.
- 19:57Speaker 4: And these are all really important storyline drivers at some
- 20:01Speaker 4: point in the series. And then they're just never seen again.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Which is crazy to me. So they're my muses, you know.
- 20:08Speaker 4: They get mentioned throughout the time, but they never get
- 20:10Speaker 4: seen again. And, you know, those are the real heroes here.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Unseen heroes.
- 20:15Speaker 3: That's beautiful.
- 20:16Speaker 1: In memoriam for their characters that disappear.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Exactly, exactly.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Except for that one episode where they're like, Eric's in
- 20:25Speaker 3: the Hamptons. And you're like, is he? I don't know.
- 20:28Speaker 3: You just keep saying where he's at. And we don't
- 20:31Speaker 3: hear anything else about him. But okay.
- 20:32Speaker 1: The actor was so charismatic. He was great. He was great.
- 20:37Speaker 6: Hot.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Really early queer representation in media, too.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 20:41Speaker 5: So good.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 20:43Speaker 5: I love that.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Fun fact about at least Taylor Momsen. She was starting
- 20:49Speaker 3: her band, The Pretty Reckless, at the time. and she
- 20:51Speaker 3: wanted to go do music. She was just like, I'm
- 20:53Speaker 3: kind of over it guys. And the producers were like,
- 20:56Speaker 3: as long as you don't go and do other acting,
- 20:59Speaker 3: you can, we'll keep your contract open and like, you
- 21:03Speaker 3: can come and guest spot, but you can go.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Do like your music thing. Um, so she was just
- 21:07Speaker 1: like ready to retire the, the little J pinky.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Um, yes a fun fact about that fun fact um
- 21:16Speaker 4: i grew up in southern california when you know van's
- 21:19Speaker 4: warp tour was like a big thing and i got
- 21:21Speaker 4: to see her band taylor momson's band play at warp
- 21:25Speaker 4: tour uh when i was like 15 years old love
- 21:29Speaker 4: that so well she was on that break so yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Very cool love that all right julia um so i
- 21:38Speaker 3: went to a private school for high school well.
- 21:42Speaker 1: All of the before college school. And it was, we
- 21:48Speaker 1: had uniforms.
- 21:50Speaker 8: And so it was very, we were very influenced by
- 21:54Speaker 8: Gossip Girl, at least the popular kids were, because they started.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Wearing headbands and they have little bows.
- 22:00Speaker 8: And I think it was the first time that I
- 22:02Speaker 8: was like, oh, I have an opinion on a fad
- 22:07Speaker 8: that I don't like.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I'm not going to do that.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And also I.
- 22:12Speaker 8: Appreciate that it was like hot brunette girl representation. Cause
- 22:17Speaker 8: you know, like everyone's like blonde hair girls are.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Like the ones that you're supposed to go after. But
- 22:21Speaker 1: I was just like undeniably Leighton Meester. So hot.
- 22:27Speaker 8: And also I think an un unprocessed queer, uh, crush
- 22:34Speaker 8: that I had that I didn't realize because Penn Badgley
- 22:37Speaker 8: was there.
- 22:38Speaker 1: And I liked him.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 1: But like, isn't that also a queer crush?
- 22:43Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:50Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 3: He can fit.
- 22:52Speaker 1: He's for the girls.
- 22:53Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I love that. All right, Taylor.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:56Speaker 7: Thank you for, thank you so much for asking me
- 22:58Speaker 7: my muse. And I've thought about this clearly. It is
- 23:03Speaker 7: Cyrus Rose. Cyrus Rose is Blair's stepfather.
- 23:08Speaker 1: He comes in a.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Couple of seasons in.
- 23:11Speaker 7: I think season two or three is when he comes in.
- 23:15Speaker 7: And he is the only character that never gets mixed
- 23:21Speaker 7: up in a scheme.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Because, okay, so there's Cyrus and Dorota.
- 23:26Speaker 7: And fandom talks about, like, they're kind of the two
- 23:29Speaker 7: who you would say have a good heart. But Dorota,
- 23:33Speaker 7: she does get mixed up in schemes. Cyrus, he does
- 23:37Speaker 7: not get mixed up in schemes. And what's most important
- 23:40Speaker 7: about Cyrus is he comes into the Waldorf household, two
- 23:43Speaker 7: very powerful women, Blair and Eleanor, and he brings emotional
- 23:48Speaker 7: safety and stability to these very powerful women. That then
- 23:52Speaker 7: you see Blair in the high school years, she was toxic.
- 23:57Speaker 7: She was cruel to other people. As Blair gets out
- 24:00Speaker 7: of high school, she still schemes, but she does not
- 24:05Speaker 7: scheme to be cruel. She schemes to, like, further her
- 24:08Speaker 7: way and her agenda and the people whose interests she
- 24:11Speaker 7: aligns with.
- 24:12Speaker 6: That.
- 24:13Speaker 7: And I hate to give the man the credit, but
- 24:16Speaker 7: I do believe that a large portion of that can
- 24:19Speaker 7: be attributed to her mother more emotionally showing up for
- 24:24Speaker 7: her and having this stepfather present who's emotionally showing up
- 24:28Speaker 7: for her. Her mother, powerhouse businesswoman, she needed that emotional
- 24:33Speaker 7: grounding that short little Cyrus brought to the table.
- 24:37Speaker 3: To allow her to still be that powerful.
- 24:40Speaker 7: Presence who could also be emotionally available and as you
- 24:44Speaker 7: see Blair becomes quite the young woman she grows into
- 24:49Speaker 7: somebody of some character and it's because of Cyrus Rose
- 24:55Speaker 7: and Eleanor Waldorf um and.
- 25:00Speaker 3: That's why I love that so much The only scheme
- 25:04Speaker 3: that he is like a hair involved with is when Blair,
- 25:08Speaker 3: or no Blair, Serena thinks she got married to Armie Hammer.
- 25:12Speaker 3: And he's like, no, I'm a lawyer. You didn't. And
- 25:16Speaker 3: that was like, but it was like, it's not even
- 25:19Speaker 3: a scheme. It's not even a scheme. He was just
- 25:21Speaker 3: doing good research for her.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 3: And he was just being a lawyer.
- 25:25Speaker 7: He was just helping out a teenager who was dumb
- 25:28Speaker 7: enough to think that she got married when she didn't
- 25:31Speaker 7: sign any documents or like remember saying I do. That's
- 25:36Speaker 7: one of my notes on my hot takes is that
- 25:40Speaker 7: that shows how truly stupid Serena was that she thought
- 25:43Speaker 7: she was actually married to this guy. But I'm glad
- 25:46Speaker 7: Cyrus could walk her off the ledge.
- 25:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 25:51Speaker 3: And last but not least, Audra.
- 25:53Speaker 6: As someone who didn't have necessarily a connection with to
- 25:56Speaker 6: Gossip Girl I realized after a meme that I have
- 26:01Speaker 6: always had a connection to Gossip Girl and it was
- 26:04Speaker 6: mentioned earlier but my muse is the go piss girl
- 26:09Speaker 6: meme even before I realized that that was from Gossip
- 26:15Speaker 6: Girl that that image was the Gossip Girl image oh
- 26:19Speaker 6: boy I was out there saying go piss girl Oh,
- 26:23Speaker 6: I have such a, I say this phrase daily. I
- 26:29Speaker 6: have purchased a stained glass pattern to make a faux
- 26:36Speaker 6: stained glass for my bathroom.
- 26:38Speaker 3: That is, go piss girl.
- 26:41Speaker 1: The final, the thing that I am intending to create.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Oh my God, that's amazing. Is this thing.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Beautiful.
- 26:48Speaker 1: She will send it in the chat.
- 26:49Speaker 6: I will send it in the chat or I will
- 26:51Speaker 6: get real close to this camera.
- 26:54Speaker 1: You got this.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 3: No, that's cool.
- 26:58Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 27:00Speaker 3: I love it so much.
- 27:01Speaker 6: And like just the coloration on it with like the red,
- 27:06Speaker 6: like this is a backstabby, it is a backstabby show.
- 27:09Speaker 6: Let's be so let's. And I think that that's a
- 27:11Speaker 6: hot take. To say that this is a backstabbing.
- 27:15Speaker 5: Wow.
- 27:16Speaker 3: You're so right. You're off the team. Off the team.
- 27:23Speaker 6: But that stained glass piece of art, it will be
- 27:28Speaker 6: with me. It is going to be an heirloom unto
- 27:30Speaker 6: my house.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Amen.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I love that so much. I remember.
- 27:35Speaker 3: You saying go piss girl a lot. And I was like,
- 27:37Speaker 3: I don't think she knows. No, I just like to
- 27:41Speaker 3: tell people to go piss. Oh, I just, I just
- 27:44Speaker 3: think that that's a experience. I wanted to be a
- 27:46Speaker 3: part of validating. Um, cause I know that it can,
- 27:49Speaker 3: I know that it can be like, Oh no, I
- 27:50Speaker 3: have to leave the conversation. And we're like, no, we're
- 27:53Speaker 3: going to be here for you when you get back.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Go piss girl. Hi.
- 27:57Speaker 1: So much love. I love all of that so much.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I love this show, even though it's so toxic and,
- 28:04Speaker 3: is all of the things that we've said. It's just
- 28:07Speaker 3: so artful in that particular time, and I love it
- 28:10Speaker 3: so much. All right, teams, let's call the car and
- 28:14Speaker 3: go to round one. Round one is called Beauty and
- 28:21Speaker 3: the Feast, a feast of trivia questions. We'll be doing
- 28:26Speaker 3: a sampling of different types of trivia questions. That's all
- 28:29Speaker 3: that is. Also, all of the game titles... Um, one
- 28:32Speaker 3: of my favorite fun facts about gossip girl is every
- 28:34Speaker 3: single episode title is a play on a movie title. Um,
- 28:38Speaker 3: so I have pulled relevant titles that have the episodes
- 28:42Speaker 3: have nothing to do with the game, but the, the
- 28:44Speaker 3: words reference the game, there's connections. Um, so the first
- 28:50Speaker 3: question type that we'll be doing is a three out
- 28:53Speaker 3: of five list. So I will present each team with
- 28:56Speaker 3: a list of five things, um, under a specific topic.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Where three are correct and two are fake.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Guess one wrong and you'll be shut out of the
- 29:05Speaker 3: list and you will get a point for each correct answer.
- 29:07Speaker 3: So I will list out the five things and give
- 29:10Speaker 3: you your category. You can give them to me one
- 29:13Speaker 3: at a time and I will tell you if they
- 29:15Speaker 3: are correct or not. If it's correct, you get a point.
- 29:18Speaker 3: You keep moving. If it's wrong, you get shut out
- 29:20Speaker 3: of the list and you can keep any previous points
- 29:23Speaker 3: that you collected during the game. Make sense? Yes. We
- 29:29Speaker 3: are going to start with Julia and Ash. Your list
- 29:34Speaker 3: is centered on guest stars. Specifically, people that held a
- 29:39Speaker 3: different character name. So the other team is going to
- 29:44Speaker 3: be cameos. So remember these are people that held an
- 29:47Speaker 3: actual character role. They were not themselves.
- 29:51Speaker 1: To be clear.
- 29:54Speaker 3: So your list is Lauren Conrad, Sebastian Stan, Adam Brody,
- 30:01Speaker 3: Aaron Tveit, Kristen Ritter.
- 30:04Speaker 1: What was the fourth one? Aaron Tveit. Everyone says his
- 30:08Speaker 1: last name a little different. I don't know this person.
- 30:11Speaker 5: I know Sebastian Stan.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Yeah, can we lock in Sebastian Stan? Yes, you can,
- 30:16Speaker 3: and that is correct. One point there.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I was really hoping that... I feel like... No, I
- 30:25Speaker 1: can't say it because it might come back. Um, okay. Uh,
- 30:30Speaker 1: it would like, how could Adam Brody not be in it?
- 30:34Speaker 1: Is my thought.
- 30:37Speaker 5: I just don't remember him being in it. And then because, Oh,
- 30:43Speaker 5: go ahead. No, no, go for it.
- 30:46Speaker 8: I feel like also Kristen Ritter makes sense as well.
- 30:50Speaker 8: Cause of like Veronica Mars time, they had to overlap
- 30:54Speaker 8: and it was the CW.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I think Kristen Ritter, but I don't think Adam Brody.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Okay, so let's go with Kristen Ritter.
- 31:03Speaker 3: That is correct. Yes! She was in one episode, the
- 31:06Speaker 3: failed pilot of the younger Vanderwoodson sisters. She played the
- 31:14Speaker 3: older sister. Oh, yes. Okay, yeah.
- 31:19Speaker 1: And then who was the first person on the list?
- 31:22Speaker 3: Lauren Conrad.
- 31:23Speaker 5: I think Lauren Conrad appeared as herself.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I, she can't act.
- 31:29Speaker 5: Yeah, no, no, no. I think they made a reference
- 31:31Speaker 5: to her as herself. Um, well, okay. Which names do
- 31:35Speaker 5: we still have?
- 31:36Speaker 3: So left on the list is Lauren Conrad, Adam Brody,
- 31:40Speaker 3: and Aaron Tveit.
- 31:41Speaker 1: How do you spell that last name?
- 31:43Speaker 3: T E V I T T.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And it's Aaron with two A's.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Correct.
- 31:47Speaker 1: This is a person I.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Do not know.
- 31:49Speaker 5: I don't. I'm going to be honest.
- 31:52Speaker 4: I'm going to be really bad at a game that's
- 31:54Speaker 4: asking me about people's names because I don't know.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Let's go for.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I'm usually good at this.
- 32:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know Aaron. I don't know Aaron.
- 32:05Speaker 8: So, if you're pretty confident that Adam Brody did not appear,
- 32:09Speaker 8: I say we go for this Aaron fellow.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 32:12Speaker 5: That sounds great.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't... I won't be mad if you're wrong.
- 32:20Speaker 4: No, but see, I don't want to say that because now,
- 32:24Speaker 4: because I'm pretty sure it's the same writers.
- 32:27Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure the shows have the same writers.
- 32:31Speaker 4: So it's possible that Aaron Brody was in this show,
- 32:34Speaker 4: but I do not remember him being mentioned in the
- 32:37Speaker 4: recap videos.
- 32:39Speaker 5: That I watched.
- 32:40Speaker 1: What are we going to do? Let's just go for
- 32:43Speaker 1: this Aaron guy.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Okay, that sounds great.
- 32:46Speaker 3: That's a great answer because Aaron Tveit is Trip Vanderbilt.
- 32:51Speaker 5: Oh, thank God.
- 32:51Speaker 3: He is Nate's cousin.
- 32:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 1: And add a protein.
- 32:57Speaker 6: I'm just happy I recognized who Trip Vanderbilt was.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so I would know the character, but I didn't
- 33:04Speaker 4: know what his name was.
- 33:06Speaker 7: Adam Brody is such a good gem there, Jen, because
- 33:11Speaker 7: it's who Leighton Meester Blair is married to now.
- 33:15Speaker 3: And he looks so much like Dan.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Especially back then. That's why I did Lauren and Adam,
- 33:22Speaker 3: because both were like with the hills and all of
- 33:27Speaker 3: the things and him being around and then the Leighton.
- 33:29Speaker 3: But you did not... Fall for any of my tricks,
- 33:32Speaker 3: so you get the full three points from that first question.
- 33:34Speaker 8: I'm glad that you didn't make up an actor.
- 33:38Speaker 3: No, all of the names are real, so if you
- 33:41Speaker 3: don't recognize them, they are real people. You just don't
- 33:44Speaker 3: know them. Audrey, you're good.
- 33:46Speaker 5: If you showed me a picture, it'd be helpful. Yeah, yeah.
- 33:50Speaker 3: All right, so as I said, for our second team, www.IHateRufusHumphrey.gov.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Your list will be cameos, so famous people that played
- 34:00Speaker 3: themselves in the show.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Okay.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Your list is Karlie Kloss, Lady Gaga, Bethany Frankel, Gigi Hadid,
- 34:12Speaker 3: and Cyndi Lauper.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Okay, let's knock off Lady Gaga. We know for sure
- 34:17Speaker 7: she did it. She did a performance of Poker Face.
- 34:21Speaker 6: Love.
- 34:21Speaker 1: So Lady Gaga, good.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Good.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 34:24Speaker 7: I have like auditory remembrance issues, so I don't remember
- 34:28Speaker 7: any of the other names.
- 34:31Speaker 6: But we're locking in Lady Gaga in order to acquire
- 34:36Speaker 6: our point.
- 34:37Speaker 3: And you have acquired said point. She did a poker face.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I had to lock in that point.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Which is so tough because it's happening in the background
- 34:45Speaker 3: of a Dan Humphrey conversation and it's just rude. It's
- 34:48Speaker 3: just rude. What a flex.
- 34:49Speaker 7: What a flex of that production team to bring on
- 34:54Speaker 7: Lady Gaga when she's taken off and she's just in
- 34:59Speaker 7: the background. There's also a Florence and the Machine. So
- 35:02Speaker 7: if one of those names is Florence and the Machine, Audra,
- 35:05Speaker 7: or the, no, okay.
- 35:08Speaker 1: It's Gigi Hadid, Carly Kloss, Cindy Lauper. And Bethany Frankel.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Bethany Frankel.
- 35:15Speaker 7: So I think Carly Kloss would make sense to me,
- 35:20Speaker 7: but I don't remember.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I think she would make sense.
- 35:24Speaker 6: I have no memory of any of these from my
- 35:27Speaker 6: summary research. But Karlie Kloss would make sense because I
- 35:31Speaker 6: think she was she was social lighting at the time.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:39Speaker 6: And wasn't okay because wasn't a Kushner in one of them.
- 35:44Speaker 3: And then I think she married a Kushner.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:47Speaker 6: And so I'm down for Karlie Kloss. Let's lock in
- 35:51Speaker 6: Karlie Kloss. I think it's a solid, solid guess here.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 35:55Speaker 3: And it is correct. She was just Socialite in the
- 35:59Speaker 3: back of a party. She might have had a word
- 36:03Speaker 3: or a line, but she was just part of the
- 36:08Speaker 3: fodder of socialite New York culture.
- 36:12Speaker 7: So then I think, Audra, that Bethany Frankel probably makes
- 36:16Speaker 7: sense because she's been a socialite for a long time
- 36:21Speaker 7: and she's got all those businesses and directly in this
- 36:26Speaker 7: Target demographic, but I don't know when she started running her, like,
- 36:31Speaker 7: when did the skinny candy bar thing that she did?
- 36:38Speaker 3: That was, like, that was when I was in college. Okay,
- 36:40Speaker 3: I think Bethany Frankel. I think maybe Bethany Frankel.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Let's go for that.
- 36:46Speaker 6: I trust that because the amount of product placement, this was, like,
- 36:49Speaker 6: product placement central.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 36:53Speaker 1: They would be so open to that type of cameo.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. She's re-in for it. We're
- 37:00Speaker 3: locking that in? Yeah.
- 37:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Unfortunately, no. Damn it, Jessica! It fell through my hole.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Was it Cindy?
- 37:09Speaker 3: It sure was. Cyrus gets, basically rents out Cindy Lauper's
- 37:17Speaker 3: concert for Eleanor as a present. And Cindy Lauper herself
- 37:20Speaker 3: is in the episode.
- 37:22Speaker 1: And it's like in season five, isn't it? It's like
- 37:25Speaker 1: something I watched earlier this week.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Oh, Audra, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
- 37:32Speaker 6: Don't you dare. Hey, don't you dare be sorry. Bethany
- 37:36Speaker 6: Frankel was a New York housewife.
- 37:38Speaker 3: It makes sense. I literally Googled New York City housewife
- 37:41Speaker 3: and then was like, what was the name? And I
- 37:43Speaker 3: don't know any of them. And I was like, what
- 37:45Speaker 3: is the name that I recognize? And I was like,
- 37:47Speaker 3: Bethany Frankel.
- 37:47Speaker 1: She was one of the younger ones at the time. Yeah,
- 37:50Speaker 1: it was very of the time.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Don't you dare be sorry, Gossip Girl. Okay, we will
- 37:57Speaker 6: soldier through this together, you and me. Yes, you got this.
- 38:02Speaker 3: All right, so your second question type is guessing who
- 38:05Speaker 3: said an iconic quote from the show. If you know
- 38:09Speaker 3: the answer outright after I say it, I will give
- 38:11Speaker 3: you two points. If you don't know it, I will
- 38:14Speaker 3: give you a multiple choice list. And then if you
- 38:16Speaker 3: guess right from the multiple choice, you will get a point.
- 38:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 38:20Speaker 6: Okay, so do we get to throw out a guess
- 38:25Speaker 6: before guessing?
- 38:26Speaker 1: The multiple choice? Yes.
- 38:28Speaker 3: So we get like a free guess? Yeah, you get
- 38:30Speaker 3: a free guess. Oh, okay. Like from once I say it,
- 38:35Speaker 3: you can guess. And then if it's wrong or like
- 38:37Speaker 3: you don't know and you have no start, then I'll
- 38:40Speaker 3: give you the list. And then it's up to if
- 38:42Speaker 3: you can pick from the list.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I like that.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Beautiful.
- 38:44Speaker 3: All right.
- 38:45Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 38:46Speaker 3: So for this game, we're going to keep going with
- 38:49Speaker 3: Julia and Ash first. So the iconic line is, I'm
- 38:54Speaker 3: not a stop along the way.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I'm a destination.
- 38:57Speaker 3: It's got to be.
- 38:59Speaker 1: A lady, right?
- 39:00Speaker 5: It's going to either be Blair or Serena.
- 39:02Speaker 3: No.
- 39:02Speaker 5: Stop along the way.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Mark, maybe it could be Vanessa.
- 39:08Speaker 5: It could be Vanessa.
- 39:10Speaker 1: That would be my I hate dot gov.
- 39:12Speaker 3: It would be I hate Vanessa Abrams dot gov.
- 39:16Speaker 5: She's also the worst. She's truly the worst.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Truly the worst.
- 39:25Speaker 5: All right.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Got a guess? You can also say I don't want
- 39:27Speaker 3: to guess if you don't want to.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Let's just do a guess.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 39:31Speaker 5: I guess we can. Let's guess Vanessa.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Yeah, we're guessing Vanessa.
- 39:34Speaker 3: It is not Vanessa. Okay, let's hear that.
- 39:37Speaker 1: As if Vanessa.
- 39:39Speaker 7: Vanessa would never have confidence to say that.
- 39:42Speaker 6: And I.
- 39:44Speaker 8: That's so sad because that seems like the exact thing.
- 39:47Speaker 3: She'd need to say. It would really help her confidence.
- 39:51Speaker 5: Okay, but I would.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Say there is an argument for whenever she's manipulative and
- 39:56Speaker 4: all of that. She says some out-of-pocket shit that Scaredy
- 40:01Speaker 4: Cat Vanessa would not usually.
- 40:05Speaker 3: When she's around some side characters, she gets a little
- 40:07Speaker 3: bit of confidence.
- 40:08Speaker 5: You got Georgina in the mix, all that's off.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Okay, so here's your multiple choice. A, Serena, B, Blair,
- 40:18Speaker 3: or C, Chuck?
- 40:20Speaker 1: Could it be Chuck?
- 40:22Speaker 3: I'm not a stop along the way, I'm a destination.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I think it could be Chuck. I'm not gonna put
- 40:30Speaker 1: too much, don't put too much weight in what I'm saying.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Whatever you're feeling is- No, I think, because I had
- 40:37Speaker 4: said it's either Serena or Blair originally.
- 40:38Speaker 5: Not a so-and-so destination.
- 40:42Speaker 4: I feel like that's got to be a stupid ass
- 40:45Speaker 4: Serena thing that she says.
- 40:47Speaker 8: It does sound like a line that they would give Serena.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Yeah. I'm going to go Serena.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Serena. It is Blair. Damn it. To Chuck. But really,
- 41:02Speaker 3: it's one that like any of the women, I feel
- 41:05Speaker 3: like I wanted it distinctly vague, but like any of
- 41:07Speaker 3: those women would throw that line out there.
- 41:10Speaker 1: I shouldn't have even brought Vanessa up.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Yeah and they write certain things for her especially in
- 41:18Speaker 3: the later seasons that like yeah it's incredibly out of
- 41:20Speaker 3: pocket and you're like what like her character development is
- 41:23Speaker 3: weird all right team i hate rufus your line is
- 41:30Speaker 3: you can tell jesus that the bitch is back oh is.
- 41:36Speaker 6: Go is this i'm throwing it out there Something happens
- 41:41Speaker 6: and Serena returns to her mean girl ways. Because there's
- 41:46Speaker 6: a time when Serena was trying to be a good.
- 41:49Speaker 6: And then something occurs and then she's like, no, I'm
- 41:52Speaker 6: in charge of this now.
- 41:54Speaker 7: And usurps Blair. So I want to praise your creative thinking.
- 42:02Speaker 7: I don't think it's that. I think it has to
- 42:04Speaker 7: do with Georgina because Georgina was the Jesus lover. So
- 42:10Speaker 7: I don't know if Georgina was the one who said
- 42:13Speaker 7: it or if it was like somebody too.
- 42:18Speaker 6: I do think Georgina makes sense though because another large
- 42:22Speaker 6: plot point is they tried to take down those people
- 42:24Speaker 6: who took them down with the Ponzi scheme and then
- 42:27Speaker 6: it didn't work and it backfired and then Georgina went
- 42:30Speaker 6: bad again.
- 42:31Speaker 3: To go and defeat them.
- 42:32Speaker 6: And so if she's a Jesus character who went bad.
- 42:37Speaker 7: But she's telling someone that you can tell Jesus the
- 42:41Speaker 7: bitch is back. And I think that it's somebody talking
- 42:45Speaker 7: to Georgina because she talks to Jesus, like making fun
- 42:49Speaker 7: of her relationship with Jesus. But I might be going
- 42:52Speaker 7: too far down this thought. It could be Gossip Girl
- 42:56Speaker 7: says it. You can tell Jesus that the bitch is
- 42:58Speaker 7: back talking about Georgina.
- 43:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 43:02Speaker 3: Okay. It could be. That tracks. We can guess it,
- 43:07Speaker 3: then we can get the three.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Yes, that's what I was, that's what I was, we
- 43:10Speaker 1: can just eliminate Georgina. Do you want to? Yeah, because
- 43:14Speaker 1: we can guess it, and if it's wrong, then we
- 43:16Speaker 1: get a three.
- 43:18Speaker 5: Okay.
- 43:18Speaker 6: Or we can.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Let's start with Georgina.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Let's start with Georgina.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Georgina. That is correct.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Oh!
- 43:27Speaker 3: She's talking on the phone to Blair, and Blair goes, Well,
- 43:31Speaker 3: what would Jesus say about that?
- 43:32Speaker 1: And she said, you can tell Jesus that the bitch
- 43:34Speaker 1: is back.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:36Speaker 6: Oh, damn.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:38Speaker 1: God, do I need to watch this show for Georgina?
- 43:42Speaker 5: No, literally.
- 43:44Speaker 4: You should just look up the episodes that Georgina is
- 43:47Speaker 4: in and then just watch those ones.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Yeah, just watch her storyline.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Michelle Strattenberg as Georgina is just... Like, God-tier acting.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Michelle Strattenberg as a villain.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Is so good. She has such a sweet face.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Her hair is so shiny.
- 44:04Speaker 3: And she's hot, and she has the eyebrows, the Georgina eyebrow,
- 44:07Speaker 3: and you're like, ah. All right, so our last question
- 44:10Speaker 3: is guessing who a Gossip Girl blast is about. So
- 44:15Speaker 3: this is going to be specifically from the narration of
- 44:19Speaker 3: Gossip Girl, and it is about a character, right? Again,
- 44:23Speaker 3: if you know the question, when I say it, if
- 44:25Speaker 3: you know the answer outright, I'll give you two points,
- 44:27Speaker 3: and if you don't, I have a multiple choice list
- 44:29Speaker 3: for you. In this case, I will say blank, where
- 44:32Speaker 3: a name is. There may be other names in it,
- 44:36Speaker 3: but you are just trying to solve for blank. Okay?
- 44:40Speaker 1: We're starting with Ash and Julia again.
- 44:42Speaker 3: The quote is, Nate thought he and blank were thick
- 44:47Speaker 3: as thieves. Turns out blank's a thief, and Nate's just thick.
- 44:53Speaker 8: My first thought would be Chuck, but is there anyone
- 44:56Speaker 8: else that, like, aside from his romantic relationships, he would
- 44:59Speaker 8: be thick with?
- 45:01Speaker 5: It's going to, yeah. Can you read it one more time? Yeah.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Nate thought he and blank were thick as thieves. Turns
- 45:08Speaker 3: out blank's a thief and Nate's just thick. Did someone
- 45:12Speaker 3: steal from him?
- 45:14Speaker 5: Yes. I don't think it's Chuck. I think it's going
- 45:17Speaker 5: to be somebody else.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:21Speaker 4: And it's going to be, let me think of all
- 45:24Speaker 4: the thievery that happens.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I think it might be Serena. She steals stuff.
- 45:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, yes.
- 45:34Speaker 4: It feels like it could be like an Ivy Dickens
- 45:38Speaker 4: or something stupid. Like one of the late characters that
- 45:43Speaker 4: doesn't really matter. But also Jen wouldn't make it that hard.
- 45:48Speaker 5: So maybe I'm thinking too hard about that.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Were he and Eric cool? I don't think they were
- 45:55Speaker 1: ever in a scene together.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Wow.
- 45:56Speaker 5: No.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Don't help them. I'm sorry.
- 45:59Speaker 5: I'm sorry. Okay, I'm going to make a guess. Is
- 46:02Speaker 5: it Dan?
- 46:02Speaker 4: Remember that time when they were, like, friends, but then
- 46:06Speaker 4: I feel like Dan could have stolen something from him.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, like Serena or something.
- 46:13Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. That's so true.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Let's go with Dan.
- 46:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Dan is correct.
- 46:19Speaker 5: Nice. Woo!
- 46:19Speaker 3: Woo!
- 46:21Speaker 5: Good job.
- 46:21Speaker 3: That was harsh. The line is, Nate thought he and
- 46:24Speaker 3: Humphrey were thick as thieves. Turns out Humphrey's a thief
- 46:27Speaker 3: and Nate's just thick. It's one of my favorite Gossip
- 46:30Speaker 3: Girl lines. It's really good. It's so good.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Amazing. Incredible work.
- 46:36Speaker 5: Thank you, thank you. Good job, Ash.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Yeah, the deductive skills. That's what I was like, I
- 46:39Speaker 3: think we can get there. All right, and then for
- 46:43Speaker 3: I Hate Rufus, your quote is, don't worry, blank, the
- 46:47Speaker 3: sun will come out tomorrow, even though your boyfriend did today.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Who has a gay boyfriend? Oh no.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Don't worry, Lair. Don't worry, S. Give me just a
- 47:01Speaker 1: second to go into the recesses.
- 47:04Speaker 6: Because it was mentioned, I'm going to fill the air
- 47:09Speaker 6: while you access your mind palace. It was mentioned earlier
- 47:14Speaker 6: that Eric might have been good for representation. So that
- 47:20Speaker 6: would be a touch point of something. But like, cause
- 47:23Speaker 6: Eric and little J.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Good job. We're using our vocabulary. We're close at one point.
- 47:34Speaker 7: This is, and I, and I want to affirm you,
- 47:37Speaker 7: you're completely on the wrong, on the wrong path.
- 47:39Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 47:40Speaker 3: And so I'm, I'm filling air.
- 47:44Speaker 7: It might not be about somebody being gay, but, Can
- 47:48Speaker 7: you read me the quote again?
- 47:51Speaker 3: Don't worry, blank. The sun will come out tomorrow, even
- 47:55Speaker 3: though your boyfriend did today.
- 47:58Speaker 1: And remember, you're just guessing, and then I can give
- 48:00Speaker 1: you a list.
- 48:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 48:02Speaker 7: I don't know if S is too obvious, but I
- 48:05Speaker 7: would guess that it's something S.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Don't worry, S, Serena.
- 48:10Speaker 7: Your boyfriend came out and it's probably like a scheme
- 48:14Speaker 7: or something. I'm not remembering what a situation might be,
- 48:19Speaker 7: but they might've come out. It might've been like one
- 48:22Speaker 7: trip because there weren't a ton of like gay stories
- 48:27Speaker 7: of people coming out. Eric was gay and he just
- 48:30Speaker 7: was kind of gay and his boyfriend was Jonathan.
- 48:33Speaker 1: So he didn't have a- you.
- 48:36Speaker 7: Know, like it wasn't a huge storyline and then drama.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:43Speaker 7: Would you feel okay about us locking in Serena knowing
- 48:47Speaker 7: that it's like kind of 40, 50% chance that it's her.
- 48:50Speaker 1: And then we go to the list.
- 48:54Speaker 5: Okay.
- 48:54Speaker 6: I was going to say little J and I couldn't
- 48:57Speaker 6: remember if that was really what she was referred to as.
- 49:00Speaker 3: So 40% is incredible.
- 49:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Okay.
- 49:08Speaker 5: Serena.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Is not Serena.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Okay. Give us the list. So your list is A, Vanessa, B, Jenny, C, Georgina.
- 49:18Speaker 3: Don't worry, blank. the sun will come out tomorrow, even
- 49:21Speaker 3: though your boyfriend did today.
- 49:24Speaker 7: Okay, so it could be, don't worry, little J, the
- 49:27Speaker 7: sun will come out tomorrow. Did her and Eric pretend
- 49:29Speaker 7: to be, I'm like looking at Ash to see if
- 49:32Speaker 7: she gives me any micro-expressions.
- 49:36Speaker 5: I know the answer.
- 49:37Speaker 3: I know you do.
- 49:39Speaker 7: I can feel your energy through the computer. And so
- 49:42Speaker 7: I'm trying to read you.
- 49:44Speaker 6: Cause I know they were, I know that they were
- 49:47Speaker 6: close and then she broke him out of the facility
- 49:51Speaker 6: that he was.
- 49:52Speaker 3: In the mental health facility.
- 49:55Speaker 5: Okay.
- 49:55Speaker 1: So it's little, little J Georgina.
- 49:58Speaker 7: And then who was the last time Vanessa, Vanessa, it
- 50:02Speaker 7: could be Vanessa, uh, it definitely could be Vanessa too. Audra,
- 50:06Speaker 7: I want to, I want to follow your gut on
- 50:08Speaker 7: this because you're spiritually, you're spiritually aligned to gossip girl.
- 50:15Speaker 1: That's all I am. I can bring the spiritual alignment. Um,
- 50:20Speaker 1: you know what?
- 50:21Speaker 6: Let's, let's go for it. We got, I think we
- 50:23Speaker 6: got lucky on our early one. So let's do little
- 50:27Speaker 6: J Jenny.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Are we doing Jenny? That is correct. I knew it.
- 50:31Speaker 3: It is not with Eric. Yeah, it's not. It is
- 50:34Speaker 3: around an Eric storyline. So this is when they were besties.
- 50:39Speaker 3: She was dating someone from a different school. It was
- 50:41Speaker 3: when she was trying to get notoriety and she was
- 50:44Speaker 3: kissing a guy on the street. And he came out
- 50:47Speaker 3: as gay and he was actually dating Eric at the time.
- 50:51Speaker 3: So Eric was like, Jenny, don't date him. He's not
- 50:54Speaker 3: being real with you. And then it became a whole
- 50:56Speaker 3: thing and she kind of bearded from a little bit.
- 50:58Speaker 3: And then there was a big fight between Eric and Jenny.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 51:02Speaker 1: I must have missed this whole crazy.
- 51:05Speaker 7: I remind you, I am a mother and I jumped
- 51:07Speaker 7: through seasons and episodes.
- 51:09Speaker 3: So I must have missed. I am a mother.
- 51:12Speaker 1: You are a mother and you are a mother.
- 51:15Speaker 5: Yeah. Those were both true statements about you.
- 51:19Speaker 4: And I will say it was probably not a high
- 51:22Speaker 4: priority storyline.
- 51:23Speaker 5: If you looked up like, where are the major plot points?
- 51:26Speaker 3: That was like, season one or two early on and
- 51:31Speaker 3: it was a B like maybe like a D plot
- 51:33Speaker 3: to what was happening at the time with the main cast.
- 51:36Speaker 4: It was the storyline right before I jumped to watching recaps.
- 51:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Nice.
- 51:43Speaker 5: Like I'm not going to make it through this.
- 51:45Speaker 1: It's going to be fresh.
- 51:46Speaker 8: I was going to say, I think like in the
- 51:48Speaker 8: last year I watched like season one through two at least.
- 51:51Speaker 1: And so it was like something about this.
- 51:54Speaker 3: I know something.
- 51:56Speaker 4: Yes.
- 51:58Speaker 3: So much. Well, that is the end of round one.
- 52:01Speaker 3: If only I could call Chuck to hire someone to
- 52:03Speaker 3: do the math for me, but I did it myself. Um,
- 52:07Speaker 3: and somehow across multiple point value changes, um, You both
- 52:11Speaker 3: landed on five points coming.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Out of round one.
- 52:15Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Up next is round two, and we'll see you after
- 52:18Speaker 3: this break. Welcome back to round two. Round two is
- 52:29Speaker 3: called All the Pretty Sources. The messages that are sent
- 52:32Speaker 3: to Gossip Girl that she reports on are truly wild
- 52:35Speaker 3: and often nonsensical. In this game, each team will embody
- 52:39Speaker 3: a Gossip Girl source, or as she calls them, her eyes.
- 52:43Speaker 3: In turns, we will first roll a die to decide
- 52:47Speaker 3: which two characters the message will be about.
- 52:50Speaker 1: So I have a list of eight characters.
- 52:52Speaker 3: We're going to roll a d8 twice to decide what
- 52:56Speaker 3: two characters are going to be involved in this message
- 53:01Speaker 3: that you're sending off to Gossip Girl. And then we
- 53:04Speaker 3: will spin the wheel for a general plot point.
- 53:09Speaker 5: Incredible.
- 53:10Speaker 3: That the message will be about. The plot points are
- 53:13Speaker 3: real things from the show, but they are completely disconnected
- 53:15Speaker 3: from who actually experienced them, so this is all new
- 53:18Speaker 3: stories that you're creating. But I wanted to just highlight
- 53:22Speaker 3: some of the random shit that this show throws at us.
- 53:26Speaker 3: The catch? We're doing this in fan fickle style, which
- 53:29Speaker 3: means that as you're saying the message, you'll be volleying
- 53:32Speaker 3: back and forth with one word each. So, for example...
- 53:38Speaker 3: If I rolled on the table and rolled Serena and
- 53:42Speaker 3: Nate and then spun the wheel and got ghosted by
- 53:47Speaker 3: a crush, I'll go over the options here in a moment,
- 53:50Speaker 3: I could write about how Serena was sitting alone at
- 53:53Speaker 3: butter waiting for Nate to show up, but he never did.
- 53:56Speaker 3: Maybe add some color that she was crying or kicked
- 53:58Speaker 3: out for holding the table for too long.
- 54:01Speaker 1: So essentially, I would go back and forth with my
- 54:04Speaker 1: partner and.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Say, I saw Serena.
- 54:08Speaker 1: At.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Butter. Waiting. For.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Nate.
- 54:14Speaker 5: He.
- 54:15Speaker 3: Didn't.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Show.
- 54:17Speaker 4: Up.
- 54:17Speaker 5: For. Two.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Whole.
- 54:20Speaker 3: Days.
- 54:21Speaker 5: Wow.
- 54:25Speaker 3: So that is will be the style of going back
- 54:27Speaker 3: and forth. Points will be awarded for cohesiveness of story.
- 54:32Speaker 3: Make the sentence at least vaguely make sense when you're
- 54:35Speaker 3: saying it. mention of your character and plot point that
- 54:38Speaker 3: you rolled for or spun for, and then flavor added
- 54:42Speaker 3: to make it juicy enough for Gossip Girl to report
- 54:44Speaker 3: on it. So waiting for two days at a restaurant,
- 54:47Speaker 3: that's a long time.
- 54:48Speaker 8: But we don't get to discuss what it is beforehand.
- 54:51Speaker 8: We just have to go straight.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Correct. So the only thing that you and your team
- 54:55Speaker 3: will know is the two people that you're talking about
- 54:57Speaker 3: and generally what happened to those two people. And then
- 55:00Speaker 3: you will. Make it up as we go. The characters
- 55:04Speaker 3: that will be rolled for are Serena, Blair, Chuck, Nate, Dan, Jenny,
- 55:10Speaker 3: the older years, Vanessa, and Georgina.
- 55:13Speaker 1: And so lots of the main cast.
- 55:17Speaker 3: And then your plot points are secret love child, pregnancy
- 55:22Speaker 3: with baby daddy confusion, sleeping with your college professor, party
- 55:27Speaker 3: crash guerrilla fashion show, Sold your friend's mom's dress. Ghosted
- 55:33Speaker 3: by a crush. Unserious political espionage. And doing literally anything
- 55:40Speaker 3: to get into a secret society. So again, you won't
- 55:43Speaker 3: have to remember those things. We will spin for them.
- 55:46Speaker 3: I will say the full thing. When you roll the die,
- 55:49Speaker 3: I will tell you who equates to that number.
- 55:53Speaker 4: And then.
- 55:54Speaker 3: You will keep going, and when I feel like it's
- 55:56Speaker 3: either hit a comedic peak or that we're just rambling,
- 55:59Speaker 3: I will say and send instead of fancy. Got it.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Because you're sending a message.
- 56:05Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 56:07Speaker 5: Clever. Clever.
- 56:09Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 56:09Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 56:10Speaker 3: I really worked hard on that one. Okay, so for
- 56:15Speaker 3: a switch up, we'll have Taylor and Audra go first.
- 56:18Speaker 3: So Taylor, on your side, I'm going to have you
- 56:20Speaker 3: roll that D8.
- 56:22Speaker 5: Twice.
- 56:23Speaker 3: And tell me both numbers. Okay.
- 56:26Speaker 1: My D8 has a little ducky in it.
- 56:29Speaker 5: Okay. Four.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 56:31Speaker 5: Four. Six. Okay.
- 56:37Speaker 3: You have Nate and Jenny. So you are a anonymous
- 56:41Speaker 3: bystander writing to Gossip Girl.
- 56:44Speaker 1: About these people.
- 56:46Speaker 3: So you are neither the people that you rolled or
- 56:49Speaker 3: Gossip Girl. You are just like a gossip wanting to
- 56:52Speaker 3: spread shit. And then you rolled Nate and Jenny. So
- 56:58Speaker 3: that is who you saw doing or experiencing the thing
- 57:02Speaker 3: that Audra's about to spin for. Wait, sorry.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Both Nate and Jenny should be involved in this story.
- 57:08Speaker 3: So Nate and Jenny's name should be mentioned, but they
- 57:11Speaker 3: can be in any way that it happens.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Cool.
- 57:15Speaker 1: You have to be the stopper. Oh, I have to
- 57:17Speaker 1: be the stopper as well. I'm not looking. I was
- 57:19Speaker 1: going to say, close your eyes.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Okay. The one at the top was baby daddy. Okay, cool.
- 57:26Speaker 3: So there is a pregnancy and there is baby daddy confusion.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Who's the dad? Mamma Mia. We don't know. Mamma Mia
- 57:36Speaker 3: or Blair in the later seasons when she's not sure
- 57:39Speaker 3: if her baby is Chuck or the princess.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Ooh, there's a prince.
- 57:45Speaker 3: Louie. Yeah, so nothing to do with Blair or Louie
- 57:48Speaker 3: or the actual thing that happened. It is just a
- 57:51Speaker 3: plot point that Nate and Jenny are navigating in some way.
- 57:56Speaker 3: And then you will take turns saying a word to
- 57:59Speaker 3: create the thing.
- 58:00Speaker 1: And whoever wants to start.
- 58:03Speaker 3: We've got this.
- 58:04Speaker 6: Just saw Nate and Dorota discussing birth control because little
- 58:09Speaker 6: J has Nate questioning if he her baby daddy and
- 58:17Speaker 6: maybe eric should throw her shower at chuck's hotel because
- 58:23Speaker 6: he believes he knows who the real Baby.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Daddy.
- 58:29Speaker 5: Is.
- 58:29Speaker 3: And sent. That was rough.
- 58:36Speaker 1: No, we got everywhere we needed to go.
- 58:38Speaker 3: You got everywhere you needed to go.
- 58:41Speaker 8: You have no idea how nonsensical these things get.
- 58:44Speaker 1: That made sense.
- 58:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Somehow. Okay, I'm going to hold point totals until
- 58:51Speaker 3: the other team has a chance to go. So, Ash,
- 58:54Speaker 3: you will roll the D8 twice and tell me what
- 58:57Speaker 3: numbers you get.
- 58:59Speaker 5: Two.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Did you just roll two twice?
- 59:06Speaker 5: Three times.
- 59:09Speaker 1: How many characters?
- 59:11Speaker 5: Okay, I'm getting.
- 59:12Speaker 4: Another dice because I'm not even shitting you another two.
- 59:15Speaker 5: I don't know what's happening.
- 59:17Speaker 3: It's a weird loaded dice. Like that's not even productive.
- 59:22Speaker 3: It's not even a nat one.
- 59:24Speaker 5: Okay, six. Okay. That was crazy.
- 59:29Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 59:31Speaker 3: Jenny again with Blair. And then you are both spinner
- 59:36Speaker 3: and stopper on that.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so sorry. I just made it hit the mic.
- 59:43Speaker 3: It's all good. You know, it's all good. Okay.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Is it spinning?
- 59:49Speaker 3: It is. I'm going to call that the light green.
- 59:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 59:52Speaker 1: It's light green.
- 59:53Speaker 5: Okay.
- 59:54Speaker 3: So you were ghost. Someone was ghosted by a crush.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Okay.
- 59:58Speaker 3: So you have Blair. Jenny, ghosted by a crush.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Whoever wants to start.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: Just saw Lil' J at Butter sitting alongside Blair.
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: Who was weeping, period.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Um, Lil' J was holding Blair's phone and laughing loudly,
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: but then Chuck Was.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Seen.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Walking.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: Away.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: From.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: The. Restaurant.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Who.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Knows.
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: What.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Went.
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: Down.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Apparently.
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: Blair. Had.
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: Been.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: Waiting.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: For.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Hours.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: Until. She. Called.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Lil J.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: Period.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: Instant.
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: Love that.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Two unlikely friends that would not have that happen. Love that.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Both teams hit mentioning your people. I think the unlikely
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: grouping of Nate, Dorota, and Chuck, and Eric all making
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: a baby shower, top tier. That would happen. And everyone
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: would be invited to the baby shower for some reason.
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: Because everyone is invited to everything.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: Like Damien would be there for some reason?
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Just everyone.
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: Everyone.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: So I'm going to give that five points. I think
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: that you hit all of the pieces that were asked,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: and it was coherent, and I could see that story
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: playing out. For our other team, it sounded a little
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: like the example, so I'm going to dock only one
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: point for that. So I'm going to give the other
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: team four points on that, because I do enjoy a
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: weeping at a restaurant and a walking away sad man.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: I will note that Not that I'm praising the other team,
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: but I will say Julia's tone and inflection was very
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: Gossip Girl.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: Even though technically we're not Gossip Girl, but yeah, I
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: just wanted to sound like her.
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: Hillary. Yeah.
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: Oh, wait.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I shouldn't say things that I know. So hard to
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: It's because I know so little, I want to be like,
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: I know this!
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: And I can't because it could be relevant later. But Julia, Julia, honey,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: you're wrong.
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: Yeah, that was incorrect.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: But I also don't think we should tell them because
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: it might be something that we need to talk about later.
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: So divisive. But we're on separate teams, Ash, and you
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: and I are the ones.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: I know who it is now.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Jesus Christ.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: I'm just conspiring. It's fine.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Conspiracy. No, but was... But she was in it, right? Yeah,
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: she was.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: Well, she was in it, but it's Kristen Bell who
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: does the voiceover.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Kristen Bell.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: And then plays herself later as Gossip Girl in the
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: end because they wanted to be meta. Anyways, that is
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: the end of the round. Grab your yogurt and meet
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: me on the steps for the scores. The steps. The
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: met steps. So that round, though close in score, did
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: pool I Hate Rufus Humphrey one point ahead at ten points,
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: and Blair Waldorf's salad is on nine. Round three is next,
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: and we're going to aggressively insert an ad here, just
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: like the Guitar Hero ads in the show. Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: There were Guitar Hero ads?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: In, like, one of the first season, I remember them
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: playing Guitar Hero. Yeah, at Blair's birthday party. Yeah.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: And Serena's, like, shredding on a plastic guitar. Yeah.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Yeah, they were really trying to make it sexy. I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: don't know if it worked.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: It was crazy.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Round three is called Where the Vile Things Are. or
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: as others call them, YouTube comments. Each team will be
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: given a set of comments for a specific scene in
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: the show. The comments will get increasingly more specific. Guess
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: the scene. On the first comment, you get three points.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: The second, two points. And the third, one point. If
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: by the end you cannot guess, I will give you
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: a chance to guess One character who is in the
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: scene for a half point. Yes, Matt, I'm doing half points.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: Piss hog.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Break the game.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: Break the game.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Fight against the patriarchy. Break the game.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Kick him out. Kick him out. Amazing. Um, so I'm
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: going to switch up who starts. So we'll go back
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: to Julia and Ash as our, as our first team
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: to go. Um, like I said, all of these comments
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: under the same scene. So I'm going to say it. Yeah.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: If you can guess the scene off of it, that
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: will be the highest amount of points.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: We'll get more and more specific as we go.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: And can I guess every time? Or like, if I
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: guess on the first comment, am I done?
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: You can guess every time, but you will only make
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: the point if it's correct. If it's correct. Okay.
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: First comment. The awkwardness between everyone, the revelations, the confrontations,
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: the insults, all the dirty looks.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Yep, this is a classic gossip roll scene.
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: Okay that's helpful class so what's a classic gossip girl.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: Okay i'm gonna say um it's a thanksgiving scene and
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: one of the thanksgivings yeah where they're because there's always
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: a weird mashup of people who are there for no
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: reason and there's always something crazy going on i am.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: Gonna have you have to like get real specific on
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: like because there's lots of overarching like up That's the
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: same as like a party scene. It's like there's a
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: million of those. So try and get a little bit
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: more specific in the episode.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: There's one I feel like where there's like Eleanor's there
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: and I don't know, one of those ones. How am
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: I supposed to be specific about these guys? I don't
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: remember any of them specifically.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Yeah, the only one I remember, did it come out that....
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: I don't remember Serena's mom's name, but that she and
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: Rufus had dated previously.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Did that happen during?
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. So when they're all in the loft in Brooklyn.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: That specific one.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Not that episode.
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: Dang.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Sick. Okay. Next one.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: This scene was actually written so well. All the tensions
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: were fully fleshed. And it truly shows the power of
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: the writers that every single fight slash storyline was memorable
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: as each character left the table. OK, so you're probably
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: right that it's like dinner or I think gathering.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: I would like to go with the one where I
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: think Jenny is there and Vanessa.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: I think it's another loft one. Yeah.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Another like thanksgiving dinner situation because i remember like everyone
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: leaving the table angry because of something that happened can
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: i do that is that specific enough.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: If you could give me like one of the fights
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: or storylines because that could still be three other thanksgiving
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: episodes you are on the right track with thanksgiving yeah.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: Um i think maybe the one where Vanessa or Jenny,
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: they're like fighting about Nate.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: Is that a Thanksgiving episode?
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I think that's in the same one you've already mentioned.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Fuck.
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: They were doing that season one?
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know if that was season one.
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: The one that I remember I thought was season one
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: was like, I imagine that that was season one because
- 1:07:59Speaker 8: that's when it came out that Mrs.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Vanderwoods and Mr. Humphrey were together.
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: Yeah, we've had to change. Was that the same one?
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Oh, I thought that was the season one one.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: So how could season one Ginny and Vanessa be fighting
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: over Nate?
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: So that could have been a different one.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: Yeah. Okay.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: Got it. I can take that one.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the one.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: Let's do that. Okay.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: That was probably like season two or something.
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: Got it.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: It's not the season one more.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: It's definitely not that one, but let's go.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: This is like a straight quote from the, the, the scene.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: So you'll, you will need to give me like, again,
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: another plot point or something that like specifies it like.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Where it's at.
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Your sweet potatoes are bland.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: And Oh, that was said by Eric to Jenny. Um,
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: they were in a fight. I wonder if that was
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: the same fight about the boyfriend, but yeah, it was
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: Eric to Jenny.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: So that was okay.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: I was describing the one where everybody left mad, but
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: I couldn't think of anything else about it.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: It wasn't at the loft. So I'm going to give
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: you the point for that. It's the one where they're
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: at the Vanderwoods and Rufus Humphrey house. Like it's a
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: different place.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: They're not in Brooklyn.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: They're in the city. But it's the what you say
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Thanksgiving episode where everyone is fighting and they all slowly
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: leave the table. And as each one leaves the table,
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: it's the what you say.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: OK, see, I could like picture them all leaving, but
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: I didn't know. I couldn't like actually remember what was
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: happening in that episode.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: I just knew that everyone was pissed.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone was very pissed at that scene.
- 1:09:48Speaker 6: And that's appropriate to most episodes of Gossip Girl.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: Yeah, right.
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: I don't necessarily know exactly what's happening, but most people
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: are pissed.
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: Very true. Okay. We got a point?
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Yes, you did.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: Yay!
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: We got on that third one. It's so hard because
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: I was like, I need to do a Thanksgiving episode,
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: but there is one in every single season, so it's like.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: Is it the one where Serena's recapping when she got
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: hit by a car and there was a pumpkin pie?
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Or was it when they were in the loft? Or
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: is it the french fries in the diner because something
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: always happens? Or with Bart. Or with Bart, yeah. There's
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: lots of them.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking it was until the last one.
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: Love.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Okay. Dang.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Other team, are you ready for yours?
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Your first comment is, I wish this friendship was highlighted
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: and given more room to grow. The side eyes Blair
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: and Jenny exchanged at the club is everything.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: They would have made a great team.
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: I mean, the banishment, if the person was talking about
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: like the storyline, direct reaction to the storyline, then the
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: banishment scene would make sense when Blair banishes Jenny out
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: of the city for sleeping with Chuck. I don't think
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: it's probably going to be this one, but we could
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: lock this one in to rule it out.
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: Yeah, let's go for it. Because that's a big one.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: That's a huge, yeah. And it's like, they didn't give
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: that friendship enough time. She got banished.
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: Right, right.
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: And we later find out that Jenny was the one
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: who sent it in to Gossip Girl so that Blair
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: would banish her. Okay, that or it's when Blair picks her.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: As the queen. That was such a good episode.
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: Okay, let's first do the banishment because it's like the
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: most obvious answer.
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: It is not the banishment episode.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: Round two. I loved seeing the nuances and dynamic between
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: Blair and Jenny here. Seeing how Blair was slowly molding
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: her and prepping her, knowing that Jenny wanted into the group,
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: then toying with her and ditching only to find out
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: Jenny ends up outplaying her and beating her at her
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: own game, leaving Blair impressed. It shows that Blair always
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: had the power, but Jenny was the one girl who
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: always had something up her sleeve.
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: It's the thieving, the stealing a dress storyline.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: And then that's when she ends up giving her the
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: blessing as the queen.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: And being like, oh, Jenny can hang. Yeah.
- 1:12:25Speaker 7: Yeah, because like the whole episode, she's trying to help
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: them pick who takes over at Constance as the queen.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: And then is.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: That when she steals the dress too?
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: And then at the end.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: It's the annual slumber party. I haven't seen a single
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: episode of the show. It's at the slumber, her annual,
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: Blair's annual slumber party. And Serena's not invited, but little
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: Jay is invited. But then it turns out it's a
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: prank where they have her steal a dress and from
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: Blair's mom's store. And then, but then the cops come
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: to arrest her and she's like, no, I'm not stealing.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: I'm Blair Waldorf. Why would I have a key?
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Why do I have her key chain? That's what I think.
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: She initially starts to gain Blair's respect, but that's at
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: the beginning of like their relationship. So I think that
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: the comment would make the most sense for it to
- 1:13:18Speaker 7: be coming more towards the end of the relationship when
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: Blair is like, Or when we know that the storyline is.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Unless it's a rewatcher. That's such a good point. That's
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: such a good point. That is hard.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: What do we want to do?
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: What's luck in yours, Audra?
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I just have a good feeling about it. I
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: have a good feeling about it.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: And you should, because that's the answer.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: I was like, dude, she's pulling out this random fucking knowledge.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Their last one, which if you would have gone with
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: the other one, you would have kicked yourself, Taylor, was
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: Jenny was such a baby girl here. You can tell
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: she brings her Hello Kitty sleeping bag and her bunny slippers,
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: and you can tell how she's losing her innocence.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: And yeah, I feel like it's the same.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Audra, fantastic job calling out the rewatch.
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: Fantastic.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: Fantastic.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: So I was a Tumblr girly.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: I know a rewatch comment when I see one. OK,
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: so this second round of comments is going to be
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: a little harder. Dig a little bit more deep in
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: the recesses of your brain. These ones are meant to
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: stump you. There had to be something that stumped you.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: Okay, I want to just say that the other comments
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: we had were so vague. I mean, unless these are
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: as vague as that, I think we're at already that level.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: These ones, there's literal character names in there. Okay.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: There's character names in these.
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: Okay. That is quite helpful.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: I almost just said this. I have the scene and
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: then the comments. I remember what the scene is and
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: I almost just said this.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Read this you're so good for not doing.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: That yeah that's incredible scene oh no comments comments you're
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: reading the comments all right so harder.
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: Faster.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Stronger. Harder, better, faster, stronger is what I.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: Got from that.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Harder. I haven't been listening to romance novels. We're good.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: It's fine. It's fine.
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: It's fine.
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: You're correct.
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Julia and Ash, your second scene. The first comment. Anyone
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: else actually rooting for the bad guys in the fourth season?
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: There's a part of me that's always glad to see
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: bad things happen to Snorina. To have little Jay's real
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: life band playing in the background as it happens is
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: just icing on the cake.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: What happens during fourth season?
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: Shit.
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: This was one of the seasons that I watched the
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: recap and I don't remember what happens here. I'm going
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: to guess that it is during Cotillion.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: Oh, I bet.
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: Whenever Jay is queen and she like pisses everybody off.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Let's do that.
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: That's just always my when so-and-so pisses everybody off. I'm
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: going to go with that.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Yeah. It is not cotillion.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: In my opinion, this is the second comment.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: In my opinion, this was my definite favorite scene in
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: all of Gossip Girl. The music went perfectly with it.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: The masks, the impersonations. I just thought it was perfectly executed.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: And although the show was going a bit weak later on,
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: I loved seeing Jenny. It was really a reminiscence of
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: the perfectly done first two seasons.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: I never get tired of the scene.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: Was there a masquerade ball?
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: Yes, there was a masquerade ball where they were all
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Serena's and there was a masquerade ball where Jenny was
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: like switched outfits with Serena.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: And there was a masquerade. I'm sure there was another one. Yeah.
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: Um, Yeah, I'm gonna guess it's that masquerade ball where
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: I think it's Juliet, Jenny, and somebody else pretending to
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: be Serena to.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: Fuck with Dan and Nate.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Is there consensus?
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: It is that scene. During that scene, it makes me
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: want to die, but the pretty necklace is on the background.
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: That's so funny.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: One of the greatest regrets of my college career is
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: that We never orchestrated a masquerade.
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: That could have been so much fun.
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: And like, I feel like, Ash, you and I, as
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: like events coordinators at the campus, we probably could have
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: made that happen. But I think I think the prospect
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: of smooching would be too high for our school to
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: ever do. ever allow that to happen.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Also, like, Eyes.
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: Wide Shut is, like, kind of one of the things
- 1:17:57Speaker 8: you associate with, like, modern masquerade stuff, and so they'd
- 1:18:00Speaker 8: probably be like, we do not, that's not religiously cool.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: That's so true. That's satanic as hell.
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: They would have never let us, unless we could have
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: gotten the theme right. In some way, like an event
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: theme in Masquerade.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Yes. Do like a spring fling. The theme is Masquerade.
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: All of our sketches that we have to write are Masquerade.
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: All right. Are we ready for the last scene?
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: Taylor and Audra.
- 1:18:34Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: Comment number one. Welcome to those who understood what type
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: of a party in the Hamptons, in quotes, it was.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Oh, oh, this is Damien Delgarde.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: This is when the.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: go back to upstate, well, the Hamptons, where I think it's,
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: they're looking for Damien, this isn't season six where they're
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: trying to find Serena, is it? They're back, Okay.
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: Hold on.
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: They go back.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: There's a party.
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: Blair and Dan are together looking for Serena. Damien Dalgard
- 1:19:19Speaker 7: is there and that's, or maybe it's Dan and Georgina
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: are looking for Serena and it's Damien Dalgard who tells them.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: There's a party in the Hamptons.
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: No way. I know what you're talking about, but there
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: are so many things that could be this comment that like,
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: I'm trying to like consider.
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: Good luck.
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:19:42Speaker 6: Yeah the only thing that i ever the the only
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: thought that i had was vitamin water white party because i.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: Was like is that the hamptons i have i'm too
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: you would have a white party in the hamptons yeah.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: I grew up to working class to even know what
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: the vibe of the hamptons would hypothetically.
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: Be well i think it's like trying to say that
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: we know the secret purpose of this party in the
- 1:20:09Speaker 7: Hamptons and they're all hooking up or drugs or whatever.
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: Georgina tries to get Serena to get back on drugs.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. Because that never even happens in
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: this show.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: But Dan.
- 1:20:29Speaker 10: Sorry then the recaps i want oh you know what
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: you're i i'm so sorry you're probably right but um
- 1:20:43Speaker 10: okay could we guess could we guess the one where
- 1:20:45Speaker 10: they find damien delgarden he gives them information absolutely let's
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: do that that's a more reasonable thing okay because you've
- 1:20:54Speaker 10: seen this show Let's knock this off as like the
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: one that's going to keep sticking in my brain until
- 1:21:00Speaker 10: Jen tells me it's wrong.
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: And this is the least likely comment for us to
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: get it right. And so just eliminating it, it'll be
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: the most helpful.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Let's go for the thing that Taylor described.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: It's wrong. Very wrong. Yeah. Like wrong season wrong. I'm
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: not going to give you that.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: You don't get that.
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: No, it's wrong.
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: Comment number two. In this scene, every single detail is
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: just perfect. The reason why Nate and Serena kissed is
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: so good. And the fact that he smiled knowing what
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: she had in mind and continuing to kiss her is stunning.
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: The music was perfect and the passion between them is obvious.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: This is one of the best scenes slash kisses in
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: the whole series.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: When Nate and Serena kiss? Nate and Serena kiss.
- 1:21:48Speaker 7: in the very beginning when they're like dating and hooking
- 1:21:52Speaker 7: up or hooking up, then they kiss later on when
- 1:21:56Speaker 7: he is with.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: The Duchess. The one that's the actress from Twin Peaks.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I think so.
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: That sounds right.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: And Serena is helping Dan make her jealous.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: The show is so juicy.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: Do we want to lock that in?
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: We should really watch it.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: Sure, let's lock that in. Let's lock it in. Can
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: you say that one more time? So it's the party.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: I think it is a white party.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: And it's when Serena and Nate are.
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: Fake dating to hide his affair with the Blair's lord,
- 1:22:40Speaker 7: the lord that she dates, his step-mommy, who he's also fucking.
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: But Nate Was hooking up with. And then she paid him.
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: I can't remember this character's name.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: I think she's the duchess. She is the duchess.
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: You're correct.
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: This is that scene. And it is the vitamin white,
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: the vitamin water. Oh my God.
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: That's so funny.
- 1:23:01Speaker 10: You got it on the first, like you were like
- 1:23:07Speaker 10: party in the Hamptons, the vitamin water white party.
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: And I was like, yep, that's the one. That's hilarious.
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: Can we just go back and remove all references to
- 1:23:16Speaker 6: me saying I haven't watched this show and just see
- 1:23:18Speaker 6: if anybody notices.
- 1:23:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly it.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: And it's when the last comment is about Dan being
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: mad that he saw them kissing. And it's like, dude,
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: you literally just spent your whole summer kissing girls. And
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: then he gets slapped and it's really satisfying. So that's
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: always good. Okay, that's the end of round three. Let's
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: download this epicness and.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Go over the stores. One of my least favorite lines
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: said by Vanessa Avery.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: Abrams ever download this epicness do you want to meet
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: up with me and scott today and download about the
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: epicness of last night oh my.
- 1:23:58Speaker 6: God i i hate her actress i think i would
- 1:24:01Speaker 6: assume someone was trying to trick me into an mlm
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: or scientology.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: And vanessa would do that to you yeah.
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: Both of them just get a message out of nowhere
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: from vanessa hey girly yeah oh she would hit you
- 1:24:14Speaker 6: with that hey girly for sure.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: All right, scores are at www.IHateRufusHumphrey.gov is on 14 points,
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: and Blair Waldorf Salad is on 12 points. But it
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: can all change in the quickfire round. Before we get
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: to the quickfire round, let's talk about prizes. This episode's
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: star prize is all of the wonderfully old cell phones
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: in season one and two. The Motorola flip phones, the blackberries,
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: the LG chocolates.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Love.
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: But our winning team will also receive being invited to
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: Little J's baby shower. So, you know, double whammy. Up
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: next is our crucial quickfire round, but first we must
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: play one final set of ads. Our quickfire round is
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: going to look a little different than it typically does
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: on a fandomonium with a game called Carnal Knowledge. In
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: this game, each team will have 90 seconds to communicate
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: a list of 10 items to their partner without saying
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: the word on the list. We have a timer here,
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: so we will count down. It's going to be reflected
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: for you all, but I will keep the time and
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: give you some time calls. But essentially, it's going to
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: be taboo style. Here's your list. Try and get your
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: teammate to guess that word. You can move to the
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: next one. If it feels like they're stuck, come back
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: kind of thing. You can pass and come back. So
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: it is going to be one list per team. We
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: will have Audra and Taylor go first. So who wants
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: to be the guesser? I'll send the list to whoever.
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: Who wants to be the guesser and who wants to
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: be the describer? Do you have immediate preferences?
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: I have a feeling you're going to be better at guessing.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:26:13Speaker 6: Heck yeah. I, my one, the thing that I will
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: say is I don't have as much of a, I
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: don't know if I remember everybody's name or that type
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: of thing. So you may have to delve outside of
- 1:26:25Speaker 6: the realm of gossip girl to get me to say
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: some of these words, but I'm super.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: Down for it.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: These are lists of words vaguely related to the show.
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: It can be as common as martini and as specific.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: as a place that they go to during the show.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: So it will be partly references, partly just things that
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: are relevant. So truly use any words you want to
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: to get them to say the thing. Yeah.
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: And I just feel like I can throw a ton
- 1:26:54Speaker 7: of words at you, Audra, and you're going to find
- 1:26:57Speaker 7: what you need to find out of it.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: Sift through it.
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: I'm going to let that.
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: that brain work of yours on double speed.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: Yeah all right have a couple sips of tea send
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: you the list now via text make sure i sent
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: it to the right person confirm for me that you
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: received the text you will get a point for every
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: correct answer so it's points out of 10 because there's
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: 10 things on the list so if you get right
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: point and then we'll move on and i can get
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: whatever whatever order i want yeah it's just those 10
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: words okay all right are you ready Yes.
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: And your time starts now.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Stretch long black car.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: A limo.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Pilgrims and Native Americans.
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: Thanksgiving. Truck bass lives here.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: It is not a it's not an Airbnb. It's not
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: a motel. It's a hotel.
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: And there's a state building, a very large state building.
- 1:28:01Speaker 7: call in New York.
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: Oh, at the empire hotel, hotel empire. Very good. Age of. Okay.
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: It's not, it's not two people and it's not four people,
- 1:28:16Speaker 7: but there are the number in between.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: The threesome with Hillary death. Yes.
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: Okay. I, if I want to get rid of body hair,
- 1:28:30Speaker 7: I'm going to use this product.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: No, you've got to stick with me on this. I'm
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: going to use this product.
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: Wax? No, we're switching.
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: Not outside. Inside.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: I would love to get some frozen after this with
- 1:28:47Speaker 7: some sprinkles on top.
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: Yogurt.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:28:53Speaker 7: It's like a cotillion, but it's a.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: Dance, and there's... A prom, a homecoming, a ball?
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: Yes, it's that kind of thing with another word in
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: front of it, and you got this.
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: That's time.
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: I'll let you finish this guess. Inside the yogurt ball. No,
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: those were different words. Those were different clues?
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: Okay, the Yoplait ball.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: The Yoplait ball?
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: No.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Good guess.
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: Good guess.
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: We're going to concede that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: It was debutante ball.
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: Oh. Yeah.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Don't say the other one.
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: Got it, sorry. Ooh.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Don't say it.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: I think I got... Okay. I think we did... I
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: feel like.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: I felt like we hit a solid number. It sounded
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: like it.
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: That was six out of ten.
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait. She's right.
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: Wait, wait. Good work, good work. I was like, I'm
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: willing to be corrected, but I think I got all
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: of them.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: So for our other team and a new list, who's
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: going to be the guesser and who's going to be
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: the describer?
- 1:30:09Speaker 8: I would be very down to be the describer, but
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: also if that is something that you want to do,
- 1:30:15Speaker 8: I am also cool to be guesser.
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: No, I have anxiety either way, so I'll be the guesser.
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: Cool, I have less anxiety about being the clue giver.
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: And you all have 90 seconds. Do you feel good?
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: Are we ready?
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: Start.
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: Okay, Mary had him, Immaculate Conception.
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: Jesus?
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: Yes, and then it's the place where people send their
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: kids outside during the summer, like a place... Or like
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: sometimes people.
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: Jesus camp? Yes.
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: And then it's a rite of passage for a young
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: lady of a certain religion.
- 1:30:51Speaker 5: Bat mitzvah? Yeah.
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: And then this was one of the things that Audra
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: said that was right about that one thing that she
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: didn't know was right immediately.
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: It was a product that you drink.
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: Oh, oh my gosh. Vitamin water?
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: Yep. This is what they call DAN. A gossip girl
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: calls Dan.
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: A stupid bitch?
- 1:31:12Speaker 6: No.
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: A lonely boy?
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: This is where they sit and eat yogurt.
- 1:31:18Speaker 5: The steps of the Met.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: Just flip those.
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: The Met steps.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: This is the restaurant that I said earlier. Butter.
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:31:26Speaker 8: This is a country, but also a place where you
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: go for college.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: Columbia.
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: And then what's the other word for college?
- 1:31:36Speaker 5: University cool columbia university this.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: Is the this is a party where smooching happens.
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: A kiss on the lips party.
- 1:31:43Speaker 8: Yeah um so not waxing to get rid of hair.
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: But it's like shaving oh nair yes and.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: Then they like to drink these even though they're teenagers.
- 1:31:56Speaker 5: Cocktail Nair Cocktail.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: So it's the specific one we talked about earlier.
- 1:32:01Speaker 6: Time.
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: I'll let you get the guess.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: I'll take it because I wanted to reference a Nair Teenie.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: What the hell is a Nair Teenie?
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: You gotta study up in season one, y'all.
- 1:32:11Speaker 5: Okay, so I'll tell you. So the Serena and Dan
- 1:32:15Speaker 5: break up.
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: And because they are like, it's power, whoever starts dating first.
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: Dan starts talking to this one girl who's new to Constance.
- 1:32:25Speaker 4: and um the mean girls think that serena needs to
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: gain her power back so they do this nair cocktail
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: and it's actually i think orchestrated by chuck maybe um
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: but they pour this nair cocktail or this nair what
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: did we say it was nair teeny on the back
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: of this girl's hair and it starts falling out it's awful.
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: They put nair in a martini glass and then throw
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: it at people's hair But she was compensated by Chuck Bass.
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: She could buy it.
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: That's true. Oh, that's right. Yes. It was a scheme.
- 1:32:55Speaker 7: She was a scheme, but the Nair was not a
- 1:32:57Speaker 7: part of Chuck Bass's scheme, but she was a scheme
- 1:33:00Speaker 7: with like.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33:03Speaker 8: And it's only called a Nair teeny because it was just,
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: it was in.
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: A deployment method.
- 1:33:09Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: The deployment method was a martini glass.
- 1:33:12Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: It's because that's a fantastic name. the branding is on
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: point branding is on point alright well before we get
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: to the final scores I'd like to thank our players
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: you've all been as lovely as Eva the poor French
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: girl who felt compelled to help Chuck bleeding out and
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: then dipped as soon as fuckery started the only I
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: would add to the list good person outside of Cyrus
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: Rose to happen in any of the seasons alright Let's
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: do some shout outs. Aush, is there anything you would
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: like to plug? Anything you're doing right now?
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: Um, I am a person who continuously tries new avenues
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: of creating art. And so you can find that on
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: my Instagram, which I have now changed to make easier
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: to find.
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: It's ash with three H's, wood with three O's.
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: And you can see right now I'm trying to make
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: art every day because, you know, Inktober.
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: And all of those challenges are happening.
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: So I'm trying to make art in my current favorite medium,
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: which is oil pastels.
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: So. That's what I'm up to.
- 1:34:23Speaker 6: Strong hyping up of Ash's art. Julia walked into our
- 1:34:28Speaker 6: house earlier today and said, pointed at an oil pastel
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: that Ash did and said, is that new?
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: I love that. So independent shout out.
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: Heck yes, Ash would. We love. What about you, Taylor?
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Anything you'd like to plug?
- 1:34:43Speaker 7: I also have an art profile on Instagram that I
- 1:34:47Speaker 7: get into ADHD bursts where I download Instagram and I
- 1:34:50Speaker 7: will post them of my art and then I delete
- 1:34:53Speaker 7: it again for my mental health. Studio THL is the
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: Instagram handle.
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: Love, love.
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: Absolutely gorgeous art.
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: We had to take down because we were prepping for
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: getting the photos of our house and like making our
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: house as bland as possible. And so it was devastating
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: to take down photos. The painting that you made for us.
- 1:35:16Speaker 6: And we were like, we can't.
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: We can't.
- 1:35:18Speaker 7: You want a naked body on your wall for your
- 1:35:22Speaker 7: house photos?
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: I really like painting naked bodies. As you should. Everyone
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: seems to do. They're everywhere in paintings.
- 1:35:32Speaker 6: Honestly, maybe if we would have left it up, someone
- 1:35:34Speaker 6: would have put an offer in on our house.
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: Then they would want the art.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: And we can't. You could just send them to Taylor.
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: That's true. This one's mine.
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: Ugh.
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: Derek will come into my studio space and he says,
- 1:35:51Speaker 7: paying some titties again.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: And I say, yep.
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: As you should. As you do right. All right, Julia,
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: what do you got? We all love to see it.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: Sorry, I need to get over the painting some titties again.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: You don't need to get over anything.
- 1:36:10Speaker 8: I am a performer and instructor at Peak Improv Theater
- 1:36:13Speaker 8: in Colorado Springs, Colorado. So if you ever want to
- 1:36:16Speaker 8: have an enjoyable time in the springs when it's not
- 1:36:20Speaker 8: light out, come on Friday or Saturday evenings to see
- 1:36:27Speaker 8: a myriad of improvised and some stand-up performances and sketch.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: Sorry. And sketch. And sketch. Thank you. Thank you. That's
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: a great segue. Audra, what you got?
- 1:36:39Speaker 6: You're listening to this podcast and you should continue to
- 1:36:42Speaker 6: listen to it. We've got video episodes up on the Patreon.
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: We've got some really cool stuff coming in the next year.

- 1:36:59Speaker 6: be kind to each other.
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: We love.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: Be piss girls together. Be piss girls together.
- 1:37:07Speaker 7: As Gossip Girl taught us so well, treat people with
- 1:37:11Speaker 7: kindness and empathy and grace and understanding.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: Cover one another in love.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: And forgiveness, most importantly. Yes.
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: Oh, and if you're going to scheme, win.
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: Win. Win.
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: Most importantly. Honey, get yours.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: Most importantly.
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: And I have been Jen. You can follow me over
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: at Half Double Docent where I post all of my
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: fiber related crafts.
- 1:37:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: It's a fun time over there and I get to
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: show off lots of really cool yarn and things. And
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: I've just had a joy hosting this for my friends
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: and about a property that I just love so dearly.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: Now let's get to the final scores.
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: So That last round really was clutch for the guessing
- 1:38:03Speaker 3: round because our winners are Blair Waldorf Salad on 21
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: points with www.IHateRufusHumphrey.org ending on 20.
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: Very, very close. Later, they came down to that last round.
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: A tight race.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: Did we get nine points in that one?
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: We did.
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: We got nine points in the quickfire. It was good.
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: You killed that, Julia. So much synergy.
- 1:38:27Speaker 5: Yeah, you did.
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 1:38:29Speaker 5: So close.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: This has been Fandomonium. Thank you so much for listening.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: Subscribe to this feed for more geeky game shows. We've
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: got game shows that these lovely people have been on
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: about community, fiber arts, Malcolm in the Middle, Twilight, and
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: so much more. Please leave a five-star review if you
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: had a good time and ignore the sentence if you didn't.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: Please share this episode with a friend, an enemy, a
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: New York socialite, whoever you want. And I leave you
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: with this, a quote from Gossip Girl. Have a little faith,
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: and if that doesn't work out, drink a lot of mimosas. XOXO,
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: Gossip Girl. Goodbye!
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: I mean, what is Gossip Girl? What is this show?
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: The storylines, the characters, the plot beats, the moments. I
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: couldn't keep up with the insanity of these plot lines.
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: Thank you so much to Jen and all four players
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: for putting on this wonderful fandemonium that I feel like
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: was a long time in the making. I think I
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: remember Jen mentioning a Gossip Girl fandemonium as far back
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: as 2022.
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: So I'm glad it finally happened.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: It's also a pretty fun idea for a quickfire round.
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: Maybe we'll do more of that going forward. We'll be
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: back in two weeks with our Hunger Games themed episode.
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: Another fandom that we've been waiting a long time to cover.
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: And we did it live. That is a live episode
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: coming in two weeks time. And then we'll be on
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: our final run of episodes in 2026. I cannot believe
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: the year is drawing to a close. And what those
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: episodes will be building to is our live holiday movie
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: finale that will be recorded live at the Peak Improv
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: Theatre on December 11th at 9pm. Get your tickets at peakimprov.com
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: or follow the link in our Instagram bio.
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure it's there as well.
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: That is going to be our most can't miss show yet.
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: We are pulling out all the bells and whistles for that.
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: We're going to have a little sing song around the piano.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: I've heard rumour that Santa... is going to be there,
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: like the real Santa. So get your tickets early for that.
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: That is our final live show of the year. But
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: of course, we'll be having some more live show fun
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: in 2027. And all that's left for me to do
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: now is to shout out our executive producers. But as
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: I don't know a single thing about Gossip Girl as
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: it was my vacation, I think I'm going to bring
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: in a guest to do it for me.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: Hey, Gossip Girl.
- 1:41:17Speaker 6: I wanted to send you a message to thank our
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: Games Master patrons. First off, huge thanks to Ash and Adam.
- 1:41:25Speaker 6: They got me a table at Butter the other day.
- 1:41:27Speaker 6: I mean, I didn't use it, but they got it
- 1:41:30Speaker 6: for me. And that's awesome. Justin Dodberg got me a
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: phone after I threw mine in the trash can.
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: Because I was like, oh my God, too much drama.
- 1:41:39Speaker 6: Derek and Taylor got me back to the Upper East
- 1:41:43Speaker 6: Side after I was banished. They're so cool. Aaron Randolph
- 1:41:48Speaker 6: saved me from a nertini. Oh my gosh, Gossip Girl,
- 1:41:52Speaker 6: you can't even imagine. Kristen Farley told me about some
- 1:41:56Speaker 6: shady business dealings that people were trying to use to
- 1:42:00Speaker 6: get my company.
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: Can you imagine?
- 1:42:03Speaker 6: People trying to steal my company. The person I heard
- 1:42:07Speaker 6: who did it was Troy Davidson. How dare he? Well,
- 1:42:15Speaker 6: I guess A huge thanks to him for keeping things interesting.
