- 1:18Speaker 3: Your family just knocked it out of the park for
- 1:21Speaker 3: you yesterday on Father's Day. Yeah, let's make the talkbacks
- 1:24Speaker 3: about how you know, mom and all the kids came.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Through for every every dad in the audience.
- 1:29Speaker 2: You'd love to hear all that. Yeah, for sure, I'm.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Sure it won't be heartbreaking.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You got a great one. It was great you Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 2: The only thing missing. My wife went up to Memphis
- 1:38Speaker 2: to see her dad because they live up in actually
- 1:41Speaker 2: northern Mississippi, in a little town called horn Lake in
- 1:44Speaker 2: that area up there, which is literally five miles from Memphis.
- 1:46Speaker 2: They moved, Yeah, they moved. They're up there for good now.
- 1:49Speaker 2: So she she had a business trip and took the
- 1:52Speaker 2: time to fly out there from like Wyoming to go
- 1:54Speaker 2: see her dad. So the only thing missing was my
- 1:56Speaker 2: wife had all four of my guys oh co and
- 1:59Speaker 2: had grand children around, so it was it was fantastic.
- 2:02Speaker 2: We went to one of our favorite restaurants, which is
- 2:04Speaker 2: Lost Palmis down to downtown Mountain Mount Dora. It is
- 2:09Speaker 2: absolutely what they're gonna say, downtown Mountain dew downtowntown mounta Dora.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Absolutely as good as it gets. I mean, uh, it's
- 2:16Speaker 2: so funny because my kids were like, is this like
- 2:18Speaker 2: a Mexican? Is this like? I'm like, no, just wait
- 2:20Speaker 2: until the black beans come and just you'll understand everything then.
- 2:24Speaker 2: And then the black beans came and they I said,
- 2:25Speaker 2: just take a spoonful of that soup off the top
- 2:27Speaker 2: of those black beans and just tell me how you
- 2:29Speaker 2: feel about that, and they took one bite, like we're
- 2:32Speaker 2: not getting anything else, We'll just have this.
- 2:35Speaker 4: It's did you get any presents?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Did you get? We got what I'm wearing one right now?
- 2:39Speaker 4: I noticed a new shirt, got some new duds.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Got some golf balls, and uh, it's funny. My my
- 2:45Speaker 2: daughter picked up a Ventage Beach Boys poster for you know,
- 2:48Speaker 2: and it's funny. I've never spoken about this in my
- 2:51Speaker 2: in my entire career on the air, I've never talked
- 2:53Speaker 2: about this. When I lived in West Virginia, I lived
- 2:56Speaker 2: there for about a year and a half. My next
- 2:58Speaker 2: door neighbor was this kid named Richard, and Richard's sister
- 3:01Speaker 2: was obsessed with the Beach Boys. So every time I
- 3:04Speaker 2: go to Richard's house to hang out, inevitably we would
- 3:07Speaker 2: listen to his sister's rich record collection, which was Beach Boys.
- 3:10Speaker 2: So there was a period of my life where every
- 3:13Speaker 2: day of my life, all I heard was helped me, Ronda,
- 3:16Speaker 2: you know, stuff like that. So you know, she she
- 3:19Speaker 2: remembered that story. She remembered that and found an old
- 3:24Speaker 2: Beach Boys poster and had it framed for me. So
- 3:26Speaker 2: I which is kind of cool, you know, So stuff
- 3:30Speaker 2: like that. It was. It was great, though. I got
- 3:32Speaker 2: a bag of peaches, because everybody knows how like beaches.
- 3:35Speaker 2: So they found good peaches and they brought me some beach.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Well or put him in a nice basket of peaches.
- 3:46Speaker 2: My daughter made the dumpcake recipe for her boyfriend's family
- 3:49Speaker 2: for their Father's Day, destroyed, absolutely destroyed. She said it
- 3:54Speaker 2: was the highlight of the day. She made it exactly
- 3:57Speaker 2: like I talked about it, because I was telling them
- 3:58Speaker 2: about the same thing, all right. I made it for
- 4:00Speaker 2: them and they were loving it.
- 4:02Speaker 3: So I remember Jack was going to be making when Jack,
- 4:04Speaker 3: how was your father's Day?
- 4:06Speaker 2: I did not make a dumb cake. I inquired about it,
- 4:09Speaker 2: but not on the plan. It was a cheap day
- 4:11Speaker 2: for me yesterday because my one daughter, no, we had
- 4:16Speaker 2: I wanted pizza. We had pizza, and that was great.
- 4:19Speaker 2: My wife actually had to work. She was singing in
- 4:22Speaker 2: the villages yesterday. So uh, it was the three daughters
- 4:25Speaker 2: were there and uh and it was a nice, RESTful day.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Lanny video games.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I played an embarrassing amount of video. Isn't it the
- 4:36Speaker 2: greatest right? And you don't have to worry about having
- 4:39Speaker 2: a pass or anything, you know, if you can just
- 4:40Speaker 2: do it as father's they can do what the hell
- 4:42Speaker 2: you want, That's what I'm saying. Making several hours good
- 4:46Speaker 2: Like then they left and I'm like, I did about
- 4:48Speaker 2: an hour a yard work and I'm like, I took
- 4:50Speaker 2: a shower and I played more video. Yes, there you go.
- 4:52Speaker 2: You know I did something a Sunday. I played golf
- 4:55Speaker 2: every day this weekend.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Why why did you do that to yourself?
- 4:59Speaker 2: That? Because I'm that's outside I am. I'm obsessed with golf.
- 5:02Speaker 2: We played like six o'clock in the morning, so, I
- 5:04Speaker 2: mean it wasn't horrible and I am tired af this morning.
- 5:06Speaker 2: But but but I played every morning super early. But
- 5:09Speaker 2: the funny thing is is the third day I played,
- 5:12Speaker 2: I went to a place I haven't been in. Man.
- 5:15Speaker 2: If I'm lying, I'm dying. I have not been to
- 5:17Speaker 2: this city in probably twenty plus years. Wow. And the
- 5:22Speaker 2: funny thing is is we went up there and as
- 5:24Speaker 2: we're driving to the city, I'm like, hasn't changed a bit.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Slow call of Florida, Oh slow Callum went up to
- 5:31Speaker 2: Kalla to play golf this weekend at o'calla Golf Club,
- 5:33Speaker 2: which is a badass little golf club. Right, I've never
- 5:36Speaker 2: played up there, and my buddy said, we want to
- 5:37Speaker 2: play somewhere new. So we drove up to Ocala and
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'm driving through a Calum like, yeah, exactly like it
- 5:42Speaker 2: was my grandmother's life. I mean literally exactly the same.
- 5:45Speaker 3: But they say it's like one of the fastest growing
- 5:47Speaker 3: areas of cities in the country.
- 5:49Speaker 2: We didn't go deep down into it, but I remember
- 5:51Speaker 2: going off Highway forty because we would never go into
- 5:53Speaker 2: the city from Plaque. We just went to Silver Springs
- 5:55Speaker 2: and then Wild Waters, which was a water park there
- 5:57Speaker 2: for a while. It's down now that demolished, but we
- 6:01Speaker 2: would go up there for that, and we would ever
- 6:03Speaker 2: go into the actual city over by seventy five. But man,
- 6:07Speaker 2: I when I saw just exactly the same as it
- 6:09Speaker 2: was twenty five thirty years ago.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Which is awesome. Yeah, yeah, I love that horse country
- 6:13Speaker 4: up there.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It's kind of cool, and you see the old inns
- 6:15Speaker 2: because it used to be kind of a tourist area
- 6:17Speaker 2: and Silver Springs was a big deal at one point.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, still is I mean, but I mean at
- 6:20Speaker 2: one point, like at the forties, dude, it was like
- 6:23Speaker 2: it was like, you know, finding it was like finding
- 6:25Speaker 2: Aladdin's castle. I mean, it was like you're gonna say,
- 6:27Speaker 2: nemo yeaheah. Either way, you can see all the tourist
- 6:31Speaker 2: industry around it that's kind of crumbling now, those old
- 6:34Speaker 2: hotels and hotels and yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Well when people used to come here specifically for this
- 6:38Speaker 3: storm water, right, Yeah, absolutely, so somebody texted us at
- 6:41Speaker 3: seven seven zero three one asking you to say the
- 6:44Speaker 3: dump cake recipe again. It should take about thirty seconds
- 6:47Speaker 3: for all three ingredients.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah, peaches into a pan, pour a a box of
- 6:52Speaker 2: vanilla cake over that, and about a cup of butter
- 6:54Speaker 2: on top of that. Throw in the oven of three
- 6:55Speaker 2: fifty for about twenty five minutes and I'll you go.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And it's unbelievable.
- 6:59Speaker 3: And Jimmy says, you do know mix in gaining matter
- 7:01Speaker 3: before you put it over the peaches. You just sprinkle
- 7:03Speaker 3: that dry powder rite over it, like the cake and
- 7:06Speaker 3: the butter and the peach or whatever.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where the name comes from. Dump. You just
- 7:10Speaker 2: dumped the cake right on top of the peaches and
- 7:11Speaker 2: then our blueberries or whatever you have canned or whatever,
- 7:14Speaker 2: and it just it worked. I don't know how does it?
- 7:16Speaker 2: It's magic?
- 7:17Speaker 4: Literally? I think that I think you had a couple
- 7:19Speaker 4: of seconds to spare all right?
- 7:21Speaker 2: Four oh seven nine six four one? Text does seven
- 7:24Speaker 2: seven zero three one. We do have lots to talk
- 7:26Speaker 2: about it. I did something today again I haven't done
- 7:27Speaker 2: in a while. I chowered. I changed the spark plugs
- 7:31Speaker 2: in my truck today. Did you really haven't. I haven't
- 7:33Speaker 2: turned a wrench since I sold my Mustang, And even
- 7:36Speaker 2: before I had it did I stopped working on it,
- 7:38Speaker 2: like a year before I sold it. What year is
- 7:39Speaker 2: your truck? So twenty twenty one Ford Ranger? And how
- 7:42Speaker 2: many miles do you have on that right at eighty thousand?
- 7:45Speaker 2: Are they traditional spark plugs or are they these foil
- 7:49Speaker 2: pack Well? There, the coil pack is what sits on
- 7:51Speaker 2: top of the spark plug, but the plug is still
- 7:53Speaker 2: a pup plug. Okay, so you pulled it. Instead of
- 7:55Speaker 2: having a spark plug wire and a coil that would
- 7:57Speaker 2: distribute these spark to each plug it each time when
- 8:01Speaker 2: it needed to when the timing said it would, right,
- 8:03Speaker 2: this has a coil pac that actually sits right on
- 8:05Speaker 2: top of so each bar plug has its own storm
- 8:08Speaker 2: coil pack it opposed to like a distributor that used
- 8:11Speaker 2: to be connected to them. Yeah, exactly, And I had
- 8:14Speaker 2: to YouTube that. This is the first time I've ever
- 8:15Speaker 2: worked on anything with a coil pack, And can I
- 8:17Speaker 2: tell you it was easy as hell. I think I
- 8:18Speaker 2: changed all my plugs in like forty minutes. Really, Oh
- 8:21Speaker 2: and it runs like a dream. Doesn't that feel awesome? Yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 2: it feels great. I did the YouTube university because I
- 8:26Speaker 2: don't work anything that doesn't have a carburetor on it,
- 8:28Speaker 2: you know, because back of the day, you just turn
- 8:29Speaker 2: riches on anything and it would work. But today you
- 8:32Speaker 2: have to be careful for sensors and breaking off wires.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I mean one wire. If you take the tab out wrong,
- 8:38Speaker 2: we'll make your entire car run like crap. But yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 2: I did that this morning and no time at all.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I got one ahead of me. I got my lawnmower
- 8:46Speaker 2: like quit like I did the front lawn and then
- 8:49Speaker 2: it and it won't run, and so probably it needs
- 8:52Speaker 2: to tune up. Yeah, yeah, it's a this is a
- 8:54Speaker 2: small engine. I I've done this in the past. I
- 8:58Speaker 2: could figure it out. I'd have to watch videos. You
- 9:01Speaker 2: just buy another one off a Facebook marketplace. I don't
- 9:03Speaker 2: want to do. I don't want to, you know, honestly,
- 9:08Speaker 2: it's a it's the spark plug in. Probably the carburetor
- 9:11Speaker 2: needs a rebuild, and the car I think it's a car,
- 9:14Speaker 2: and I think that's I think all of those parts
- 9:16Speaker 2: is probably twenty one dollars. I know. Then I gotta
- 9:19Speaker 2: watch a video, then I gotta do it. It really
- 9:21Speaker 2: is easy, dude, And really it's usually just a lacquer
- 9:23Speaker 2: built up in the uh in the carburetor from gas
- 9:26Speaker 2: sitting on you know, over seasons. You know, the problem
- 9:28Speaker 2: is I don't like the condition of my lawn, so
- 9:31Speaker 2: even after I cut it, I don't get that satisfaction
- 9:33Speaker 2: of having a nice lawn. Oh really, there's so many
- 9:36Speaker 2: dirt patches. So dude, just round it all up and
- 9:40Speaker 2: filled it with rocks. I'm done. This is my third
- 9:44Speaker 2: and thirty years I've put down three lawns. I'm not
- 9:47Speaker 2: putting down any more lawn Can I tell you, buddy,
- 9:49Speaker 2: I'm right there. I mean, we we put one on
- 9:51Speaker 2: this house that we thought we're gonna sell and spent
- 9:53Speaker 2: way too much money on it. And then watch the
- 9:55Speaker 2: watch the freeze kill all the stuff. And then this grass,
- 9:59Speaker 2: by the way, this as we have like is it's
- 10:01Speaker 2: called zoisha.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yes, Oh, Chris's favorite grass is.
- 10:05Speaker 2: It's beautiful, right Empires is. Man, if you breathe on
- 10:08Speaker 2: it too hard, this stuff dies or or it kind
- 10:11Speaker 2: of changes colors. And it's so funny. We had a
- 10:13Speaker 2: massive storm the other night. I didn't even hear one
- 10:15Speaker 2: drop of it because it would happen overnight and I
- 10:17Speaker 2: wake up the next morning when I come home from
- 10:18Speaker 2: playing golfing lawn is like somebody painted it green. Like
- 10:22Speaker 2: it reacts that quickly it does. That's unreal. It doesn't
- 10:25Speaker 2: do it when when I water it, it doesn't have
- 10:28Speaker 2: that effect. Man, after it rained, it durned like green.
- 10:31Speaker 5: The uh.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I put down Zoya after twice losing the Saint Augustine
- 10:35Speaker 2: lawn to chinch bugs. Yeah, and Zoya, you don't have
- 10:38Speaker 2: to worry about chinchbugs, but apparently you have to worry
- 10:40Speaker 2: about a lot of other stuff you do.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I've killed that one too, and you know the other
- 10:44Speaker 3: things that you have to that nobody will. Actually someone
- 10:47Speaker 3: did tell me. A canine deputy told me to be
- 10:49Speaker 3: very careful with Saint Augustine, and it ended up happening
- 10:53Speaker 3: just as he said, because the grass grows viny, right. Yes, yes,
- 10:56Speaker 3: So if you have a large breed dog like I
- 10:59Speaker 3: had a golden Rochever playing frisbee in the backyard and
- 11:02Speaker 3: they pull their nails out to dig into the ground.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Pulled one of his toenails, they don't tell you that
- 11:09Speaker 3: when you put in Saint Augustine that you have to
- 11:11Speaker 3: be careful with your large free dogs.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 11:14Speaker 3: You can't let them pee on it either because it'll
- 11:15Speaker 3: kill it. It'll kill it exactly. But it also pull
- 11:18Speaker 3: out their toenails. Did not know that, Yeah, because of
- 11:20Speaker 3: the way that structure underneath their.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I know chinchbugs love that Saint.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Augustine, and Saint Augustine loves the water.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it does love the water. That's for show. Ah,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I'm done with it. But I did. Over the weekend,
- 11:34Speaker 2: I trimmed because you mentioned the freeze. Because of the freeze,
- 11:37Speaker 2: I lost a lot of the palms. Yeah, I have
- 11:40Speaker 2: I have new growth coming in, so everything on the
- 11:42Speaker 2: ground was good new growth that is coming in. But
- 11:45Speaker 2: all those dead branches and stuff don't make that hand.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I filled up six garbage cans dead stuff that I
- 11:52Speaker 2: took out of my yard.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I can't only in an hour of working in the yard.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I can't hate Ok that was about three hours the
- 11:58Speaker 2: other day. Oh, I just can't hate it anymore. I can't.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I can't. I cannot stand yard work. We have to
- 12:05Speaker 2: talk in the ac right four O seven nine six
- 12:11Speaker 2: four one text us seven seven zero three one. We're
- 12:13Speaker 2: gonna hed your helping just a little bit We've been
- 12:15Speaker 2: tasked with a karaoke performance tomorrow for a mandatory thing
- 12:20Speaker 2: that we have to do. It's like a company meeting
- 12:22Speaker 2: and we have to do a karaoke song. So we
- 12:24Speaker 2: have to come up with a song that we can
- 12:26Speaker 2: all do with karaoke. And keep in mind, none of
- 12:31Speaker 2: us are sayers. No, and I'm feeling you know, you're
- 12:35Speaker 2: not feeling anything. You're you're feeling songy is what you're feeling. Now,
- 12:38Speaker 2: I'm feeling fluid. You're feeling very slow is what you're feeling,
- 12:42Speaker 2: very fluid, fluly. Also, a comedian is getting a Have
- 12:46Speaker 2: you seen the flashback from Nate Barkasi lately? Yeah, he
- 12:50Speaker 2: went to the UFC fight at the White House, and
- 12:53Speaker 2: you know, his whole thing is he's kind of a
- 12:55Speaker 2: middle of the road guy, doesn't really choose a side,
- 12:57Speaker 2: doesn't really do anything. And then he he he gets
- 13:00Speaker 2: spotted at the UFC fight at the White House, and man,
- 13:02Speaker 2: I've never seen flashback. I mean, this guy is catching
- 13:06Speaker 2: it from everywhere over simply going to a UFC fight.
- 13:10Speaker 2: It's so crazy. We'll talk about that a little bit later.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Plus we have a bunch of other crazy stuff. Emily's
- 13:14Speaker 2: here today, Ray Trinley a little bit later, Brandon Kravitzen
- 13:16Speaker 2: a little bit later. Good show coming up, Deb, what
- 13:18Speaker 2: do ye for news?
- 13:19Speaker 3: We're going to talk about music mogul Clive Davis dying today,
- 13:22Speaker 3: Orlando could lose state funding if it changes downtown regulations.
- 13:27Speaker 2: And McDonald's is bringing back a classic You know, I
- 13:31Speaker 2: did not read that story today because I knew you
- 13:33Speaker 2: would have it, and I have no idea what it is.
- 13:35Speaker 2: What I find so disturbing is the glee on her
- 13:37Speaker 2: face talking about what McDonald's is bringing back.
- 13:40Speaker 3: They're bringing back a classic Jack and we're going to
- 13:42Speaker 3: talk about that and more coming up next during JCS news.
- 13:45Speaker 2: You got it all right, take a little break. We'll
- 13:46Speaker 2: come back in a second, get Deb's news and continue
- 13:48Speaker 2: on with the Jim Colbert Show. Thanks for tuning in.
- 13:50Speaker 2: We appreciate it.
- 13:59Speaker 1: You know, if you have a key back and roll
- 14:01Speaker 1: cage and today we raise a beer to the stupid.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Guy thing day. I honestly have too many stupid things
- 14:12Speaker 2: I've done that it's just impossible to kick one. Never
- 14:18Speaker 2: drop kicking or meadillo. They hurt and show y'all, why
- 14:23Speaker 2: would you do that? Don't do that? They can jump
- 14:26Speaker 2: like head high too. Well, that'd be scary if you
- 14:28Speaker 2: took a swing armadilla, that thing jumped up and stared
- 14:30Speaker 2: you right in the eye. It's an armadilla. Is a
- 14:32Speaker 2: jumper possum. It's an armadila. Yeah really, yeah, that's they say.
- 14:35Speaker 2: That's how they get killed by cars is because the
- 14:37Speaker 2: car goes over them. They freak out and they actually
- 14:40Speaker 2: jump up into the car when they when you drive

- 15:05Speaker 2: your news.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It's time for JCS news. Wow, this guy got to
- 15:12Speaker 1: put his name on everything.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It's in my contract.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Dead. Here's the news on the Jim Colber Show.
- 15:17Speaker 3: And JCS News is brought to you by that mortgage
- 15:21Speaker 3: guy Don all Right, the world lost a couple of
- 15:23Speaker 3: heavyweights today, including former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, who
- 15:28Speaker 3: died at the age of one hundred. The American economist
- 15:31Speaker 3: died as a result of complications from Parkinson's disease. His
- 15:35Speaker 3: death was announced today by his wife of nearly three decades,
- 15:39Speaker 3: NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell. They were married by the
- 15:44Speaker 3: former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Dude, I didn't know he was he was married to
- 15:48Speaker 2: Andrea Mitchell. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, wow. I did not
- 15:51Speaker 2: know that. She's about twenty years younger than her. I
- 15:53Speaker 2: was about to say, at one hundred years old, married
- 15:55Speaker 2: thirty years isn't impressive. He did it in seventies, exact.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Yea, yeah, so.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Green Span sir as chairman for nearly twenty years under
- 16:02Speaker 3: Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and
- 16:06Speaker 3: George W.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Bush.
- 16:07Speaker 3: The Federal Reserve, of course, is the central bank for
- 16:10Speaker 3: the United States, and green Spans responsibilities included making decisions
- 16:14Speaker 3: about interest rates, and green Spans policy was defined by
- 16:17Speaker 3: keeping inflation low at all costs, giving him the label
- 16:21Speaker 3: a label of an inflation hawk.
- 16:24Speaker 2: All right.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Meanwhile, music mogul Clive Davis has died. Here's just one
- 16:28Speaker 3: of the artists he helped put on the map. And
- 16:36Speaker 3: that's the amazing thing is when you read this story,
- 16:39Speaker 3: I mean, and they couldn't even cover everybody.
- 16:41Speaker 2: But possible is that Michael Jackson.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Yea music mogul, Clive Davis. He's died at the age
- 16:47Speaker 3: of ninety four. His family confirmed he died at his
- 16:50Speaker 3: home in New York City today. Davis was recently hospitalized
- 16:54Speaker 3: related to respiratory problems. He's known for boosting the careers
- 16:57Speaker 3: of Janis Joplin, Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteam, while also helping
- 17:02Speaker 3: to revitalize the careers of Carlos Santana, Rod Stewart, and
- 17:06Speaker 3: Aretha Franklin. Davis served as the president of a number
- 17:09Speaker 3: of record labels, including Columbia Records and Arister Records. He
- 17:13Speaker 3: was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
- 17:15Speaker 3: in two thousand as a non performer.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, consider it one point one of those powerful guys
- 17:20Speaker 2: in music, Whitney, besides Whitney, Uston, Mariah Carrey, Yes, I
- 17:23Speaker 2: believe so, yeah, yeah, the uh but what's interesting then,
- 17:27Speaker 2: it was a different time where you were. That was
- 17:31Speaker 2: how you become a star in the music business. It
- 17:35Speaker 2: was through record deals and he was the record executive
- 17:38Speaker 2: executive of Note. Nowadays it's just so spread out and
- 17:43Speaker 2: discovered streaming. Yeah yeah, I mean that started with Justin
- 17:46Speaker 2: Biecher direct consumer. Yeah exactly. No more club gigs for you, sir,
- 17:51Speaker 2: just go straight to the record governor.
- 17:52Speaker 3: And unfortunately that means no more surprise gifts and the
- 17:55Speaker 3: record the album sleeves that would arrive for program directors
- 17:59Speaker 3: at radio station as a Hey, you might want to
- 18:01Speaker 3: play this record. There's a little something something special for
- 18:03Speaker 3: you on the inside.
- 18:04Speaker 2: You've many That was definitely an episode where they had
- 18:10Speaker 2: a cocaine.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, cocaine weed. I mean in some cases Nike
- 18:15Speaker 3: tennis shoes.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Here's a jewel case. Yeah, how do you have fit
- 18:19Speaker 2: Nike shoes in the record.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Story that was that was a scam.
- 18:22Speaker 3: That was a scam here in Orlando, like thirty years
- 18:25Speaker 3: ago with another competing radio station.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yeah all right.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Orlando City commissioners are considering a temporary moratorium that could
- 18:32Speaker 3: impact development in the Downtown Orlando Historic District.
- 18:36Speaker 4: This is a really interesting story because.
- 18:38Speaker 3: They want to allow the appearance review board to review
- 18:41Speaker 3: construction proposals for thirty six months instead of the Historic
- 18:46Speaker 3: Preservation Board.
- 18:47Speaker 4: So supporters say this is this.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Change is going to promote downtown development, while opponents argue, yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 3: it could compromise historic buildings. So a final vote is
- 18:56Speaker 3: expected today, and in the meantime, Orlando's efforts to change
- 18:59Speaker 3: its downtown could be costly. The City Commissions meeting today
- 19:03Speaker 3: again to discuss easing development restrictions, so the state sent
- 19:07Speaker 3: the city an email Friday warning about the consequences of
- 19:10Speaker 3: changing the rules about developments in the district. The state's
- 19:14Speaker 3: Division of Historic Resources says the city must give it
- 19:18Speaker 3: thirty days notice before the city changes its rules, otherwise
- 19:22Speaker 3: the city might lose a certification that makes it eligible
- 19:25Speaker 3: for state funding for projects to designed to preserve historic features.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Mary Buddy Dyer tells Orlando Sentinel he does expect commissions
- 19:34Speaker 3: the Commission will approve the change today. There's expected to
- 19:37Speaker 3: be a lot of residents that are going to show
- 19:39Speaker 3: up because a lot of people are fearing they already
- 19:42Speaker 3: have a development in mind, and so they're making this
- 19:44Speaker 3: rule change for the next three years and then any
- 19:48Speaker 3: historic building potentially in downtown Orlando could be on the
- 19:51Speaker 3: chopping block.
- 19:52Speaker 2: What's surprising is you would think if just on the
- 19:55Speaker 2: topic itself, it would be reverse, where it would be
- 19:58Speaker 2: Tallahassee saying hey, you know, move forward, right, move forward,
- 20:02Speaker 2: move forward. Whoa, whoa. But it's really the opposite in
- 20:07Speaker 2: this case, which is kind of wild actually, because if
- 20:09Speaker 2: Orlando has the possibility of losing about two and a
- 20:12Speaker 2: half million dollars in grants for stuff from Tallahassee for
- 20:15Speaker 2: that very thing, and from what I last read from
- 20:18Speaker 2: Buddy Dyer, they're continuing forward. It was a six to
- 20:20Speaker 2: one vote, by the way, Yeah, so it was a
- 20:22Speaker 2: unanimous vote for the city commissioners. It's just a really
- 20:24Speaker 2: interesting situation, a bit of a tight wrote walk, and
- 20:27Speaker 2: a bit of a precursor. If you ask me for
- 20:29Speaker 2: what can happen with this property tax thing, is Tallahassee
- 20:31Speaker 2: would be able to flex their power on small municipalities
- 20:34Speaker 2: if they didn't do what they wanted. This is what
- 20:36Speaker 2: you're looking at a small This is a small bit
- 20:39Speaker 2: of what you could see if that thing passes as
- 20:41Speaker 2: Tallahassee just going no, we don't like that you do
- 20:43Speaker 2: it this, wee don't we really care how your vote went. Now,
- 20:45Speaker 2: I know it's kind of a reverse of that, but
- 20:47Speaker 2: it could be the same thing.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Well, my other concern too, is like, you know, they
- 20:50Speaker 3: just approved like a thirty two story condo that's going
- 20:53Speaker 3: to be right next to the Greek Orthodox Church. So
- 20:56Speaker 3: the idea is that, you know, it just seems to
- 20:59Speaker 3: be too fast soon for a city commission that always
- 21:02Speaker 3: seemed to be kind to be responsive to residents and
- 21:04Speaker 3: now that kind of just seem to be ramming this through.
- 21:06Speaker 2: And it's weird because the state is the one going, hey,
- 21:08Speaker 2: pump the brakes on it, exactly, let's do some analytics
- 21:10Speaker 2: here and see what's going to see how it's going
- 21:12Speaker 2: to affect people. Kind of wild for that because it's
- 21:14Speaker 2: usually like the way the other way around. Ahead.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Well, the mayor Dyer did say commissioners are also going
- 21:20Speaker 3: to make the change take effect in thirty days so
- 21:23Speaker 3: that it will comply with the state requirement. But it
- 21:25Speaker 3: also makes you wonder, I mean, really is the Historic
- 21:29Speaker 3: Preservation Board that much of a stemy to local development downtown?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Guess is who's on it? Right? That really is what matters.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I mean, who's on it is?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Like buildings does someone want?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Is it a bunch of developers, is it, like I mean, yea, yeah, yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Is it us luring guys like that?
- 21:43Speaker 4: It'd be very interesting to find out.
- 21:45Speaker 3: All right, Florida gas prices are moving lower, good news
- 21:48Speaker 3: as millions of drivers gear up for Independence Day travel.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Believe it or not, that will be next week. Tripa
- 21:55Speaker 3: A says the state wide average is three sixty two
- 21:58Speaker 3: a gallon. That is down nineteen from last week and
- 22:01Speaker 3: eighty five cents from a month ago, still above last
- 22:04Speaker 3: year's holiday price of three eleven. As of Sunday, prices
- 22:07Speaker 3: had fallen about thirty two cents over eleven straight days,
- 22:11Speaker 3: cutting about five dollars off the cost of filling a
- 22:14Speaker 3: typical tank. Triple A's Mark Jenkins says the relief comes
- 22:17Speaker 3: at a good time for holiday travelers, but notes prices
- 22:20Speaker 3: could still shift depending on developments involving global oil supplies,
- 22:25Speaker 3: including the Strait of Horror moves. Yes, all right, Speaking
- 22:28Speaker 3: of the gas station, A new state rule expands a
- 22:31Speaker 3: crackdown on seven Oh h oh, that's yeah, yeah. State
- 22:36Speaker 3: Attorney General James Myer.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I think it's eth Meyer, Uthmeyer, eth Meyer.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Maybe it is ugh Meyer.
- 22:45Speaker 2: That's why I hear the TV people pronounced it is
- 22:49Speaker 2: there an uml the U.
- 22:50Speaker 3: There isn't an umlot. Yeah, exactly, so we'll call him Uthmeyer.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Then uth Meyer describes the.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know if that's right. That's just how
- 22:58Speaker 2: I've heard exactly.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Ugh Meyer likes territho.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Uthmeyer describes the concentrated form of cretom as quote, gas
- 23:08Speaker 3: station morphine end quote, and says manufacturers are coming up
- 23:12Speaker 3: with new compounds to evade an existing ban.
- 23:15Speaker 6: All what this is doing is preventing these super concentrated
- 23:19Speaker 6: chemical compounds that lead to morphine like opiates at the
- 23:26Speaker 6: fingertips of kids.
- 23:27Speaker 3: So the executive order adds these compounds to Schedule one drug.
- 23:31Speaker 3: State Surgeon General doctor Joseph Ladoppo says the state is
- 23:34Speaker 3: not trying to stop those who do use ordinary cretom
- 23:38Speaker 3: as a supplement.
- 23:39Speaker 2: They just don't want to getting in the hands of kids.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Yes, all right.
- 23:42Speaker 3: The son of a Seminal County murder victim believes justice
- 23:45Speaker 3: has been served. Eric Holtz talked yesterday after Gary Durance
- 23:48Speaker 3: was given a life sentence Friday for killing Holtz's mom, Sherry,
- 23:51Speaker 3: in Sandford back in nineteen ninety nine. Durance was her
- 23:55Speaker 3: boyfriend at the time, but he was able to escape
- 23:57Speaker 3: prosecution as the case grew cold. Three years ago, though,
- 24:01Speaker 3: Sandford Police's cold case unit began re examining the DNA evidence,
- 24:06Speaker 3: and that's what led them to Durrance. All this, after
- 24:09Speaker 3: all this time, Holt says, Listen, he's a Christian. He's
- 24:12Speaker 3: learned to forgive Durrance, and he believes it's in the
- 24:14Speaker 3: hearts of anyone to forgive anyone. If it were me,
- 24:18Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to put hands on you. I'm gonna
- 24:20Speaker 3: have to play hands on you first, and then I'm
- 24:22Speaker 3: gonna forgive you.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Repeatedly, repeatedly or physically forgive you, exactly. I said the
- 24:28Speaker 2: interview with this guy, and you know, God bless him.
- 24:31Speaker 2: It's what we're it's what we're called.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I know, I know, but you know walk the walk
- 24:37Speaker 4: is different, exactly.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to ask for forgiveness on that one, exactly, forgiveness.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I think your rules are pretty good this one, though.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I don't not I to I with you on this one,
- 24:49Speaker 2: big Dog. What Jack. You guys might be right on
- 24:52Speaker 2: uth Meyer, but like look at Ruth, you t h
- 24:57Speaker 2: And and Charlie is p U T H.
- 25:00Speaker 4: That sounds dirty.
- 25:01Speaker 2: We got the.
- 25:04Speaker 3: All right, This next story is crazy, and thankfully a
- 25:08Speaker 3: teenager is safely back with her family after Florida Keys
- 25:12Speaker 3: cops found her stuffed in a dryer.
- 25:15Speaker 2: What she called nine one one.
- 25:18Speaker 3: To say she was being held hostage. Monroe County Sheriff's
- 25:21Speaker 3: office claimed fifty three year old Christopher Vite tied up
- 25:24Speaker 3: the victim, shoved her into the dryer, and took her
- 25:27Speaker 3: cell phone when she said she wanted to leave. He's
- 25:30Speaker 3: charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, interference with child custody, and
- 25:34Speaker 3: unlawful sexual activity with a miner.
- 25:37Speaker 2: What's this guy's last name? His last name is vt
- 25:40Speaker 2: v I t Okay, there you go.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he's gonna have that look. That's going to be
- 25:46Speaker 4: like ye hands on you too.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Every time I get one of these crazy stories, I
- 25:50Speaker 2: look the guy up and I go, oh, yeah, that's
- 25:52Speaker 2: a guy. If you saw that picture, gill oh that
- 25:53Speaker 2: got tied up in girl a dryer.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Right, he's in the shift. He's fifty three.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Yeah, she's a teenager.
- 26:00Speaker 4: They didn't give her age.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And this guy looks like he could be like a
- 26:03Speaker 2: vice principal of the school does not look menacing at all.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Oh no, there's another case like that that came out
- 26:09Speaker 3: of Lake County. We haven't talked about all right. I
- 26:11Speaker 3: always say that there is a Florida connection and a
- 26:13Speaker 3: tablehassee native and I believe University of Florida graduate who
- 26:17Speaker 3: died in a plane crash is being remembered as intelligent, funny,
- 26:20Speaker 3: kind hearted, and deeply caring. Blake Thacker and eleven others
- 26:24Speaker 3: were killed last week in Missouri when that skydiving plane crashed.
- 26:28Speaker 3: The twenty five year old graduated from Chiles High School
- 26:31Speaker 3: in twenty nineteen, and he wanted to become a certified
- 26:35Speaker 3: skydiving coach.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Oh man, I didn't even know they had coaches. Yeah
- 26:39Speaker 2: I didn't either. I mean, you just fall right, I thought.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I guess I'm a stupid I mean, you obviously have
- 26:45Speaker 2: to know a bunch of stuff to live through that.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I you know, just saw that new movie Dodgeball over
- 26:49Speaker 3: the weekend. I never thought you'd need a coach there either.
- 26:52Speaker 3: But according to his funeral announcement, skydiving gave him courage,
- 26:56Speaker 3: confidence in a profound sense of purpose. His funeral take
- 26:58Speaker 3: place July third and ten, Alaha see at East Hill
- 27:01Speaker 3: Baptist Church. All Right, Florida's Rainbow River and danel And
- 27:05Speaker 3: is back open after an alligator attack. Snorkeler was bit
- 27:09Speaker 3: by a gator on Sunday. It was removed from the
- 27:12Speaker 3: area with the help of the Marion County Sheriff's Office
- 27:14Speaker 3: and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The river
- 27:18Speaker 3: reopened soon after that gate would have gotten a whole
- 27:22Speaker 3: lot of.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Do do that is whole lot of dede.
- 27:25Speaker 2: That's not a wild man because the Rainbow River is
- 27:27Speaker 2: like clean, right, it's crystal clear. It's kind of wild
- 27:30Speaker 2: for one to just kind of creep up on you.
- 27:31Speaker 3: And why I need to know more details about the snorkeler.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Was it a really big gator? Was it a really
- 27:36Speaker 3: tiny snorkeler?
- 27:37Speaker 2: Was he dressed like a fish?
- 27:38Speaker 4: Did he fart in the water?
- 27:40Speaker 2: Snorkeling? You don't think it's going to be a gator.
- 27:43Speaker 2: It's as when you're snorkling, you know you're in a
- 27:46Speaker 2: river exactly like an ice cold, clear ass river. You
- 27:49Speaker 2: think the gator like they're in the stell If they'd
- 27:51Speaker 2: be like, I'm gonna try this in the broad ass daylight,
- 27:55Speaker 2: I see this guy. I went into the ocean off
- 27:58Speaker 2: New Smarta Beach on Friday. Yeah, and halfway I dish
- 28:01Speaker 2: over my ankles. I I'm good. I can't see water well.
- 28:07Speaker 2: In the meantime, Victim Deep.
- 28:10Speaker 3: A surprise visitor is turning heads in Mount Dora. We
- 28:13Speaker 3: talked about this on Friday when I got the ring
- 28:15Speaker 3: alert on my phone. A monkey was recently spotted on
- 28:19Speaker 3: the roof of the lakeside end after making its way
- 28:21Speaker 3: through a nearby oak trees, an unusual sight deep in
- 28:24Speaker 3: Lake County. The reesis monkey population traces its roots to
- 28:28Speaker 3: the nineteen thirties, back up to Silver Springs, when a
- 28:31Speaker 3: tour boat operator introduced them to enhance a jungle cruise attraction,
- 28:35Speaker 3: not realizing oh damn, monkeys can swim.
- 28:38Speaker 2: There they go and they can do it, and oh
- 28:40Speaker 2: my god, they have a bunch of them. My sandwich sulass.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I didn't want stop it. Yeah, I lost my glasses
- 28:50Speaker 2: in my ham sandwich and I got a herpees. This
- 28:52Speaker 2: this park sucks.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Oh listen, I wish we were at South Florida, all right.
- 28:58Speaker 3: The Tartan Army is taking over South Florida. Yeah, man,
- 29:04Speaker 3: Miami police are preparing for between two thousand and ten
- 29:08Speaker 3: thousand Scottish soccer fans.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Damn, really, these guys are They're the best. Basically, they
- 29:15Speaker 2: drank Boston dry. They're just migrating beer supplies like animals
- 29:21Speaker 2: wood water.
- 29:21Speaker 3: They literally had to make a emergency beer runs in
- 29:24Speaker 3: Boston because the Scottish fans drank them dry.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Absolutely Scotland.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Well, they're marching from the Ball and Chain on kayye
- 29:36Speaker 3: Oho to Loan Park Lone Depot Park rather for tonight's
- 29:40Speaker 3: Marlins baseball game. That's been another fun thing watching soccer
- 29:45Speaker 3: fans enjoying America's pastime in the various cities they're in.
- 29:48Speaker 3: The group will be escorted by Miami Police's bicycle response team.
- 29:52Speaker 4: That sounds so threatening.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Tomorrow the Titan Tartan army is heading for South Beach.
- 29:59Speaker 4: There's not enough sun screen on the world, my friend,
- 30:01Speaker 4: there is not.
- 30:02Speaker 2: There's just it is gonna it's like a white out
- 30:05Speaker 2: with red hair. It's gonna look like a red haired
- 30:10Speaker 2: white out. Oh my god, it's a freckle storm.
- 30:13Speaker 3: It's all in anticipation of Scotland taking on Brazil in
- 30:16Speaker 3: World Cup action at Miami Stadium on Web Day it
- 30:20Speaker 3: costs the.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Average person like to come over here from Scotland and
- 30:23Speaker 2: stay for a couple of weeks to do the thousands.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Not only that, so you had your first The first
- 30:29Speaker 2: two matches were in Boston, right now they it's they
- 30:32Speaker 2: gotta fly from Boston to Miami, by the way. Both
- 30:36Speaker 2: markets not cheap anywhere, all right, I mean nowhere around
- 30:40Speaker 2: second nothing.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I think there's something like twenty dollars for a draft beer.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Oh, I can imagine drinking fifty minutes sitting. That's gonna
- 30:48Speaker 2: be expensive.
- 30:49Speaker 3: And then finally, McDonald's is bringing back an nostalgic dessert.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Oh what do you remember?
- 30:58Speaker 4: Dessert? Dessert cherry pie.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Pie. I tell you I didn't know that they didn't
- 31:06Speaker 2: have the cherry pie. Still, is that what it is? Nope.
- 31:09Speaker 3: The fast food chain announced that It's fried apple Pie
- 31:12Speaker 3: will return to participating locations on June twenty third for

- 34:49Speaker 2: and I have to do uh Kate Pearson and the
- 34:53Speaker 2: other lady I'm forgetting. Yeah, Tina Weymouth I believe her
- 34:58Speaker 2: name is w E y m O. I think that's
- 35:01Speaker 2: her name. Yeah, I mean I was thinking we could
- 35:04Speaker 2: do Fly Robin Fly from the seventies. Is it literally

- 35:26Speaker 2: remember anyway, But yeah, we got to figure out something, guys,
- 35:29Speaker 2: we gotta do something. I would like to do something
- 35:32Speaker 2: from Adele and have deb started off. That'd be great
- 35:36Speaker 2: at Tina Weymouth with talking hats, talking hairs. There you go.
- 35:39Speaker 2: And then she also did that she spun off and
- 35:41Speaker 2: did that other song that Mariah Carey made a bunch
- 35:44Speaker 2: of money off of. But yeah, man, we got to
- 35:47Speaker 2: figure out something. We can't do any We can't not
- 35:49Speaker 2: do anything. I guess we could do like a nursery rhyme.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I just I'm googling karaoke songs for non singers. Yeah,

- 36:20Speaker 2: sexy by right, said Fray. Oh that's another good one,
- 36:23Speaker 2: and I've got the bald head for it. I'm too
- 36:26Speaker 2: sexy for this, so you can do I could do that, Dad,
- 36:30Speaker 2: Let's encourage him. He's taking the lead up. Yeah, exactly
- 36:32Speaker 2: what I'm gonna do it the backup dancers.
- 36:36Speaker 4: I'll go behind you giving the thumbs up.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Yeah. He's doing a great job. But I really have
- 36:40Speaker 2: the hard part. And we have to if we have
- 36:41Speaker 2: to synchronize moves. How about we do this. You guys
- 36:43Speaker 2: stand directly behind me like those Indian women. Yeah, I'll
- 36:46Speaker 2: sing a song and you guys do the arm stuff.
- 36:50Speaker 2: You guys do the arm stuff. Okay, I'll tell you
- 36:53Speaker 2: what the Mayas let's do the watch. Yeah yeah, yeah,

- 36:59Speaker 4: It's the dance group. They're called the Mayas, oh Icy.
- 37:01Speaker 2: And they were on America's Got Talent. It's that same thing.
- 37:04Speaker 2: If you. If we did the Y m C A.
- 37:06Speaker 2: I would stand up front and do the singing, and
- 37:08Speaker 2: you guys could get behind me in line and do
- 37:11Speaker 2: the Y and the MC.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I like that idea, Jack and I could do the
- 37:15Speaker 3: letters for YMC A while you saying.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Young man, there you go. I could figure it out.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Do you have a construction helmet that you can wear?
- 37:21Speaker 2: Of course you do.
- 37:22Speaker 4: You can borrow Jacks from his.

- 37:30Speaker 2: I think it got thrown out. No, I think it did.

- 37:36Speaker 2: would be exactly the same. Oh man, could you imagine
- 37:40Speaker 2: mantow up. They're doing the whole thing half shirt that
- 37:42Speaker 2: says whole Camania.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Moose knuckles city A just knuckling it up, crazy, young man.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Check this knuckle right out, I said, young man.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Nothing like sounding like an old bear. It's a blast
- 37:55Speaker 4: in the past.
- 37:56Speaker 2: We could do some hot chocolate. You really to say
- 38:01Speaker 2: you don't require segment. But the thing is, I want
- 38:04Speaker 2: to do something this. I mean, if we're gonna do it,
- 38:07Speaker 2: we gotta do something fun. I think the one we
- 38:12Speaker 2: just said is good. I think we should do that one,
- 38:13Speaker 2: the one we just said a second ago. What was
- 38:15Speaker 2: on what? No? No, no? The one before that ymc
- 38:18Speaker 2: A Yeah, maybe something like that. Is that too simple? Jack?
- 38:21Speaker 2: You think other people are going to do that, because
- 38:23Speaker 2: that's what we also have to worry about. Other Other
- 38:25Speaker 2: people are gonna be doing something the room, but were
- 38:26Speaker 2: getting to worry about They're probably gonna be doing something Spanish.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Do you want participation points or do you want to
- 38:32Speaker 2: win a contest? I don't what do you win a trophy?
- 38:35Speaker 2: A trophy? No, I don't care about trophies. I'm actually

- 38:40Speaker 2: through my trophies today. I'm like, why do I keep
- 38:41Speaker 2: these things? Dude? I don't know. So I have no
- 38:43Speaker 2: idea what on keeping me? Long Drive from nineteen eighty nine? Okay,
- 38:46Speaker 2: the goal list is say we participated and we weren't
- 38:48Speaker 2: the worst, right, Well, I mean I think if you
- 38:51Speaker 2: just participate, I mean it's gonna be But you gotta
- 38:53Speaker 2: remember some of the stations are going to get into
- 38:55Speaker 2: it or chadd and Leslie doing this. They have they
- 38:58Speaker 2: probably they're probably gonna hire people.
- 39:00Speaker 4: Way trio was a German band, was it really?
- 39:02Speaker 2: How funny Johnny's house? They mean, you know, they they're cool.
- 39:06Speaker 2: They'll do that. They got ray, She'll do anything. Brian's
- 39:10Speaker 2: your problem there obviously. How about the sports station or

- 42:14Speaker 2: get it. Let's get it over with. Yeah, I don't know, man,
- 42:17Speaker 2: we probably find out something. We got to figure it

- 42:50Speaker 2: no idea what it is. Let me go look at
- 42:52Speaker 2: my deleted files, Jackson. If I can find it real quick,
- 42:54Speaker 2: I can go check to see if they can still
- 42:56Speaker 2: squeeze us in.
- 42:57Speaker 3: No, there's no need. So you're saying it's extra work
- 43:00Speaker 3: for them. They needed this information like by news.
- 43:03Speaker 2: So you're saying that we actually may not have to
- 43:05Speaker 2: do it, or is it like a thing that we
- 43:06Speaker 2: should do. I could go check out. We have two
- 43:09Speaker 2: representatives from this station. Participator.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Hey, who's gonna sit with Mike and Brandon.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know what, here's the thing.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Somebody's got to sit with Mike and Brandon.
- 43:17Speaker 2: I can make my entire time ragging on them for
- 43:19Speaker 2: not doing it, because they could. They could do something
- 43:22Speaker 2: from wham. It would be great.
- 43:24Speaker 4: Can you see that?
- 43:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, careless whispers, shorts, or they could like take
- 43:28Speaker 2: me out of the ballpark. They could do any they
- 43:29Speaker 2: could do something very sports related. There's nothing wrong with that,
- 43:32Speaker 2: take me out on the bar. I mean, what would
- 43:34Speaker 2: be better than that? What if they are doing it not? Yeah, yeah,
- 43:38Speaker 2: that's the thing I'm scared about. I don't want to
- 43:40Speaker 2: Oh I do not want to be that guy. I
- 43:42Speaker 2: do not want to be that bad luck. It's a
- 43:44Speaker 2: bad look. You don't want to do that. I mean,
- 43:46Speaker 2: if everybody else is doing it, Okay, wait a minute,
- 43:48Speaker 2: and you're not doing it, it's bad look.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Okay, it's four oh seven, the day before you just
- 43:53Speaker 3: said on the air you never got the email, So
- 43:56Speaker 3: I don't want the lecture.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Look working about this at four seven, that's way less
- 44:04Speaker 2: of a bad look. If we can figure out how
- 44:07Speaker 2: to get in there, we should do something. Just tell
- 44:09Speaker 2: them we're gonna be just save a space for us. Jack,
- 44:11Speaker 2: we'll figure out. We'll bring your own track. It's probably
- 44:14Speaker 2: gonna be something for Marilyn Manson.
- 44:17Speaker 4: Let's just do tool.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Oh my god, did you imagine? Oh my god, how
- 44:22Speaker 2: about a puppet show?
- 44:25Speaker 4: You guys bring the puppets.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Man, Well we gotta figure it out. Okay, So
- 44:31Speaker 2: we I mean, we had to figure out a song.
- 44:32Speaker 2: We can do this after the show today or whatever.
- 44:34Speaker 2: I don't want to spend like a lot of time
- 44:35Speaker 2: on the air doing this, but we need to. We
- 44:37Speaker 2: do need to do this. And I'm telling you, I
- 44:39Speaker 2: think one of those earlier choices is gonna be fun.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I think YMC is young man.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Singing Jack and I are your backup answer.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Yes, done, just listen to the song. Yes, you're like,

- 44:54Speaker 2: mistake before you hear the card said, it's like, oh yeah,
- 44:56Speaker 2: I know that you have to listen to the whole
- 44:58Speaker 2: song because you expected to the whole thing. It's karaoke,
- 45:01Speaker 2: it's right in front of you. Can I read? The
- 45:03Speaker 2: answer is most of the time.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Now you do need Jack is right though.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Tonight when you get home, your assignment is you're gonna
- 45:14Speaker 3: need to put on those nutcuffers.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Let me tell you something.
- 45:16Speaker 3: That half shirt, if you can find that wig to
- 45:19Speaker 3: please have that way the construction got the construction hat
- 45:22Speaker 3: and then just stand in the mirror and practice the

- 45:41Speaker 2: All right, all right, that sounds good. It looks like
- 45:43Speaker 2: we've stumbled onto something here, but we need two more.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Maybe we invite Mike and oh yeah, there we go.
- 45:50Speaker 2: How awesome would that be? We get double points for that.
- 45:53Speaker 2: They're carrying this two lames around, good Lord imurder late
- 45:57Speaker 2: the night before. We probably shouldn't have planned this little earlier.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I didn't get an email, dude.
- 46:02Speaker 4: I'm telling you did. Yes, you did.
- 46:05Speaker 3: But to his defense, we didn't get the email until
- 46:07Speaker 3: last Tuesday, so it was less than a week away.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Or actually it was Wednesday, cause I.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Literally just heard about this thing last week.
- 46:14Speaker 3: I believe we got the email on Wednesday, which gave
- 46:16Speaker 3: us a little less than a week to come up
- 46:18Speaker 3: with a plan, a dance, number, a costume.
- 46:21Speaker 2: We just come off the yachty cruise, Oh did we Yeah? Yeah,
- 46:23Speaker 2: we got to just come from there and did it.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Shouldn't have just done that, just walked off the cruise
- 46:28Speaker 2: into this thing.
- 46:28Speaker 4: I don't think your mustache would have made it.
- 46:30Speaker 2: No, it wouldn't have. God, dog, I cannot believe I
- 46:33Speaker 2: threw that thing away. It was in a box that
- 46:35Speaker 2: threw out that all the stuff from it, and I
- 46:38Speaker 2: didn't see it. I was looking for it the other
- 46:39Speaker 2: day and I was like, threw it out, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:43Speaker 2: My wife wanted some sexy picks.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Somebody said we could always do closer by nine inch nails.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Oh my god, I want to bang you like an animal.
- 46:50Speaker 2: That one, yeah, that one.
- 46:52Speaker 4: You want to act that one out in front of
- 46:53Speaker 4: the president.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Is that what closer is? I want to animal? And
- 46:59Speaker 2: then we do the just thrust to the audience and
- 47:06Speaker 2: just getting mad faced, just like grit your teeth. I
- 47:08Speaker 2: got an outphit for that one.
- 47:14Speaker 4: Horrifying, but you already knew it.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Horrorfying. You know where other people have like a safe rooms.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Jack has an unsafe room where you walk in it,
- 47:24Speaker 2: you are a patently unsafe.
- 47:26Speaker 4: You know it. It's got his own version of the
- 47:27Speaker 4: red Do you have you related?
- 47:29Speaker 2: Do you know how heavy chain mail is?
- 47:31Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 47:32Speaker 2: And I don't know. I never worn very heavy. Josh
- 47:35Speaker 2: had a hat on it the other day. I guess
- 47:36Speaker 2: they did a that was that was fake. That was
- 47:38Speaker 2: like a little bit of mail man that weigh you down.
- 47:42Speaker 2: How do you know that? Just you know, I know,
- 47:46Speaker 2: I know things. I bet you have a dresser, drawer
- 47:49Speaker 2: with a padlock, don't you. There's no question you have
- 47:54Speaker 2: a dresser, you have a closet with a padlock. What
- 47:56Speaker 2: he has there is zero question that Jack has. You
- 47:59Speaker 2: know the serial killer families like this guy, Rick Hureman,
- 48:01Speaker 2: his daughter. I just saw an interviewer this weekend. His
- 48:03Speaker 2: daughter's like, yeah, daddy had a vault there then we
- 48:05Speaker 2: couldn't go near it. And I'm like, that's not a
- 48:06Speaker 2: dead effing giveaway, a dead giveaway that your dad in
- 48:10Speaker 2: your house, that's a place where you cannot go. But
- 48:13Speaker 2: under the penalty of death. Jack has four of those
- 48:15Speaker 2: in his No. What he does have, you know, it's
- 48:18Speaker 2: probably five.
- 48:18Speaker 3: What he does have is a black rubber made toe
- 48:21Speaker 3: that he keeps tucked in a certain corner of the
- 48:23Speaker 3: storage unit. It has all his special toys and when
- 48:27Speaker 3: you can wash out quickly exactly, it's got the powder
- 48:31Speaker 3: and the baby wail right in there. O, my god,
- 48:32Speaker 3: that way. Look, you got a powder before you put
- 48:35Speaker 3: the latex on.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Problem is I think about jacket right, jack scenario. Powder.
- 48:41Speaker 2: That's what I hear. Yeah, you got a powder up,
- 48:43Speaker 2: powder up, poor new.
- 48:46Speaker 4: I don't say that we might be needing her tomorrow.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Every time I see her, she looks so happy, and
- 48:49Speaker 2: I know it's just a facade. I don't know. She's
- 48:52Speaker 2: scared to death. I know it.
- 48:53Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 48:54Speaker 2: He's probably happier in hell. It's one of the two.
- 48:58Speaker 4: She's awfully smiley, nisy Sunday.
- 49:00Speaker 2: I need ideas? Is it really? Yeah? You need ideas?
- 49:04Speaker 2: It's just like twenty six or something, isn't it? Twenty nine?
- 49:07Speaker 2: Twenty nine? That's insane? That's that is insane ideas twenty nine?
- 49:14Speaker 2: I had what is the eight good ideas? Twenty nine minute?
- 49:17Speaker 2: What does the what's it say? It's supposed to be?
- 49:18Speaker 2: Have you checked that splinter? No, it's not it's not
- 49:22Speaker 2: what it is. Yeah, it's got to be something good
- 49:25Speaker 2: because thirty is gold, I believe, isn't it? Thirty?
- 49:27Speaker 5: What?
- 49:28Speaker 2: No fifties gold isn't Yeah, I think thirgionum Neapolitan is
- 49:36Speaker 2: jim picture and tools.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Yeah, furniture are or the anniversary gemstone which is a Garnett.
- 49:43Speaker 2: No, don't get her, that's lane. Don't do that. I won't. Yeah,
- 49:46Speaker 2: furniture is cool, though, Like I don't know what furniture
- 49:48Speaker 2: she would get. Maybe a swing of some sorts. Oh,
- 49:53Speaker 2: you're such a per all right, seven seven zero three
- 49:56Speaker 2: one to take a little break. Gimme me the movie
- 49:57Speaker 2: girl up next. I hear she reviewed wait story five.
- 50:01Speaker 2: What Let's see how she does because last last week
- 50:04Speaker 2: she did disclosure to Day and said it was mid
- 50:07Speaker 2: at very best. So we will have himly up here
- 50:09Speaker 2: in the second. I know.
- 50:12Speaker 15: I think we should just go over with this little
- 50:13Speaker 15: Father's Day concept for the few people whoever Good Father's
- 50:16Speaker 15: Day and whatever. Jimmy, I'm happy for you, man, I'm
- 50:19Speaker 15: glad your kids went out of that way. And did
- 50:21Speaker 15: you know something very nice? I need that? Yeah, appreciate it, man,
- 50:25Speaker 15: But you know, for me and I loved of other
- 50:27Speaker 15: people I talked to. Man, it's even worse than a
- 50:30Speaker 15: regular day.
- 50:31Speaker 7: Man.
- 50:31Speaker 15: I was stuck in the kitchen cooking for everybody else,
- 50:33Speaker 15: and I got adult kids. Man, that didn't even wish
- 50:35Speaker 15: me out for fathers.
- 50:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that is terrible. Get out of here doing.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Oh then you just take that food and you just
- 50:42Speaker 3: put it in the fridge and tell them I only
- 50:44Speaker 3: eating this for later.
- 50:46Speaker 2: All the money. That's crazy. Terrible father's day. I mean,
- 50:49Speaker 2: he could be an awful person and we don't know that. No, no, no,
- 50:51Speaker 2: a joke. It's a joke. Close he says, I'm a
- 50:54Speaker 2: good dad. Okay, very good. Well I believe it. Then,
- 50:56Speaker 2: all right for a seven nine six four one text
- 50:59Speaker 2: us at seven seven deer three one. I'm Jim, there's
- 51:01Speaker 2: deb Hello. Jackie's here as well. Emily the movie girl
- 51:04Speaker 2: is as well.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Her name is Emily, she likes movies. She's a girl.
- 51:13Speaker 1: It's time for Emily the movie girl on the Jim
- 51:17Speaker 1: Colbert Show.
- 51:19Speaker 16: Girl gets old, does it, doesn't ye?
- 51:26Speaker 2: Don't you wish every day started off with a little
- 51:27Speaker 2: something like fanfare and professionally to.
- 51:31Speaker 13: Make that my ringtone that I wake up to.
- 51:33Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 51:34Speaker 13: How you doing I'm greed, how are you?
- 51:36Speaker 2: And wonderful? How is your father's day? Weekend?
- 51:38Speaker 13: It was so much fun.
- 51:38Speaker 16: I gave my dad his hat, like of course, he
- 51:43Speaker 16: literally opened it up and he said, oh, this is
- 51:45Speaker 16: going in my office and that's like, oh, like that's
- 51:48Speaker 16: a good hat.
- 51:49Speaker 4: Show it off.
- 51:50Speaker 2: He's got to show it in a prominent position. What
- 51:52Speaker 2: does your dad do?
- 51:53Speaker 16: He works in the school system there at the Villages School. Yeah,
- 51:57Speaker 16: how very cool administration.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and heavily that you talked about it last week.
- 52:02Speaker 2: But the hat was they focused on movie quotes. It
- 52:05Speaker 2: was a company movie quotes.
- 52:07Speaker 16: Well, it's a super Yucky is the name of the site.
- 52:09Speaker 16: And they do these like capsule collections all about different movies,
- 52:13Speaker 16: different directors, and it was for a princess bride collection
- 52:16Speaker 16: and it said as you wish on it.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Yes, Is he the one who started the movie
- 52:21Speaker 2: Love for You or did you guys watch movies as kids? Yes?
- 52:23Speaker 16: Definitely, yeah, absolutely, like it was he. I mean, he
- 52:27Speaker 16: and my mom were the ones that made it such
- 52:29Speaker 16: a big deal to go to the movies growing up.
- 52:32Speaker 16: You know, it was always an event right, Oh so yeah,
- 52:35Speaker 16: definitely I remember watching for this bride. I mean, he
- 52:38Speaker 16: had introduced me to so many like I remember watching
- 52:41Speaker 16: like Star Trek movies with him, and like Jurassic Park.
- 52:45Speaker 13: Yeah classic.
- 52:46Speaker 2: How old were you when he saw Bride?
- 52:48Speaker 4: Classic Jurassic Park?
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 52:52Speaker 13: What do you mean that is classic?
- 52:54Speaker 2: All right, it's over thirty years ago.
- 52:56Speaker 4: Now, yeah, mighty just popped.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Oh.
- 53:02Speaker 2: My back is flaring out. The AA is kicking in.
- 53:10Speaker 16: I don't remember when I first watched Prindus Bride.
- 53:13Speaker 13: I was probably pretty young, I want to say, maybe five.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I was gonna say, that's a pretty high IQ level
- 53:18Speaker 2: movie to be showing you a child. I mean, yeah,
- 53:21Speaker 2: whether you get it or not, that's one of the things,
- 53:23Speaker 2: you know.
- 53:23Speaker 13: I mean, I was watching Jurassic Park at like two.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Oh wow, that's crazy. No, I liked it all right.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Emily comes into a review movies and talk about things
- 53:30Speaker 2: that are happening out there in the box office. This
- 53:32Speaker 2: was a hot weekend, coming off the weekend of Disclosure Day.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Another major release. This released this weekend, and I think
- 53:38Speaker 2: you already said that you were going to review Toy
- 53:40Speaker 2: Story five.
- 53:41Speaker 16: Yes, that's the big one that I caught this weekend,
- 53:45Speaker 16: And surprisingly I didn't hate it as much as I
- 53:49Speaker 16: thought I would.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Now, why would you think you'd hate it? Because the
- 53:51Speaker 2: first the first one, was one of the best movies ever.
- 53:54Speaker 2: And I'm not saying that facetiously. It was a perfect movie.
- 53:57Speaker 2: And a lot of these animated movies can be that
- 53:59Speaker 2: way because they can every aspect of the movie.
- 54:01Speaker 13: Well, and we just talked about this.
- 54:02Speaker 16: I would argue that the second one is even better
- 54:05Speaker 16: than the first one, and I think it's the best
- 54:07Speaker 16: sequel of any sequel ever. But like particularly the first three,
- 54:12Speaker 16: like one, two, and three of the Toy stories, they
- 54:15Speaker 16: are perfect. Like the way they ended Toy Story three
- 54:18Speaker 16: is such a beautiful ending that four and now five
- 54:23Speaker 16: just feel kind of ancillary.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Four felt flat for me. I didn't like the ending
- 54:28Speaker 4: of that one.
- 54:29Speaker 13: I liked this one more than four.
- 54:30Speaker 4: Which how is the ending for three?
- 54:32Speaker 2: Again?
- 54:33Speaker 13: That's well, that's like almost the end.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Spoilers That scene makes you cry, Oh for sure.
- 54:46Speaker 16: No, the end of three is Andy before he goes
- 54:49Speaker 16: off to college, gives the toys to Bonnie.
- 54:51Speaker 4: That's right when Bonnie gets shut up.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Yes, so I'm sorry. I did not think interrupt your
- 55:00Speaker 2: animated movie podcast that you're doing here. Jesus, Now you're
- 55:08Speaker 2: gonna get remembred too. I'm out of here.
- 55:12Speaker 4: Yes, Jack is like, I'll take your place.
- 55:15Speaker 2: It's a great movie.
- 55:17Speaker 16: So first one is your favorite, Jim, And then would
- 55:20Speaker 16: you say the second one?
- 55:21Speaker 3: The second one, Barbie and Ken are that story arc
- 55:25Speaker 3: is just so funny. Yes, the character development and the
- 55:29Speaker 3: way everyone gets to kind of stretch and spread their
- 55:31Speaker 3: wings a little bit. And the second one is funny, Hm, Jack,
- 55:35Speaker 3: which one is your favorite?
- 55:36Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't remember any of them. I
- 55:38Speaker 2: just remember their toys at talk and I like the movies.
- 55:41Speaker 2: I'm I just Keanu Reeves was in the fourth one
- 55:45Speaker 2: is Duke Nukem.
- 55:46Speaker 13: He makes a brief appearance in this one.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Roably the worst no, and I believe in one of
- 55:56Speaker 2: them he says, there's a snake in my.
- 55:58Speaker 16: Boot, right, that's what the main character although all that
- 56:03Speaker 16: what he is not the main character in this one.
- 56:05Speaker 13: Heard well because Toy Story four.
- 56:07Speaker 16: They wrapped up his story. He's not one of Bonnie's
- 56:12Speaker 16: toys anymore. So he's like kind of gone off to
- 56:14Speaker 16: do his thing. He is in it, and I do
- 56:17Speaker 16: think his character has like retracted a bit that I
- 56:19Speaker 16: felt like they tried to shoe horn him back into
- 56:22Speaker 16: the franchise. Yes, you know it has been about him
- 56:26Speaker 16: Tom and it's Tom Hanks. But the main character, more
- 56:31Speaker 16: so as far as the toys go, is Jesse this
- 56:33Speaker 16: time around, which I really liked. So she gets some
- 56:36Speaker 16: closure for this, which I think, if anything, it was
- 56:39Speaker 16: worth it to see this movie to see Jesse get
- 56:42Speaker 16: her closure.
- 56:44Speaker 13: But ultimately it is it Mid, It's yes, thank you
- 56:49Speaker 13: for the mid. Yes, you're catching eyes Jesse. I So,
- 56:57Speaker 13: I there were some things I really liked.
- 56:59Speaker 16: It was very funny, but I but there were a
- 57:02Speaker 16: lot of unfortunately potty jokes. There was like a side
- 57:06Speaker 16: character that is a potty training tech toy played by
- 57:10Speaker 16: Conan and Bryan.
- 57:12Speaker 13: He's very funny.
- 57:13Speaker 16: But I was like, oh, this is why this is
- 57:17Speaker 16: rated PG instead of G, like all the other ones
- 57:19Speaker 16: have been rated G.
- 57:20Speaker 2: And it's because it's like.
- 57:23Speaker 16: Yes, and I'm like, have we really degraded ourselves? Like yeah,
- 57:27Speaker 16: so like potty jokes, Well yeah, you're right. So like
- 57:34Speaker 16: that to me like kind of knocked it down a
- 57:37Speaker 16: star and what else, like oh, there was a whole
- 57:42Speaker 16: b plot with this, like these buzz light Year toys
- 57:47Speaker 16: that it felt like a short to me. And I
- 57:49Speaker 16: just felt like they were again trying to shoehorn this
- 57:53Speaker 16: plot into the movie to like make it longer.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I don't know, are they are they kind of a
- 57:58Speaker 2: foreshadowing and other movies.
- 57:59Speaker 4: I was wondering that.
- 58:01Speaker 16: No, it's literally like it's sort of you know how
- 58:04Speaker 16: in the second one, like the the wall of Buzzes
- 58:08Speaker 16: like kind of come to life and it's like, you know,
- 58:11Speaker 16: they go through this this gimmick again of like Buzz
- 58:13Speaker 16: wakes up and he doesn't realize that he's a toy.
- 58:16Speaker 13: So it's like, all to you, they did that already,
- 58:19Speaker 13: but they do it.
- 58:19Speaker 16: It's like these toys are dumped in on the island,
- 58:23Speaker 16: they wake up, and then they somehow are able to
- 58:26Speaker 16: get off there.
- 58:27Speaker 2: It's it's a hole.
- 58:29Speaker 16: It's crazy and like it's silly. But it should have
- 58:33Speaker 16: been a short. And oh that was another thing I
- 58:35Speaker 16: didn't realize until the movie started. I was fully expecting
- 58:39Speaker 16: a Pixar short because they always word every single Pixar movie.
- 58:43Speaker 13: This one did not, and I looked it up.
- 58:45Speaker 16: Apparently, I think when Toy Story four opened and then
- 58:49Speaker 16: Beyond No Pun intended, they they stop doing shorts regularly
- 58:55Speaker 16: for their animated films. Yeah, so like they'll still post
- 58:59Speaker 16: new ones on Disney Plus and stuff, which I'm like
- 59:03Speaker 16: to Disney Plus.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, that's like the lamp thing, right, that's the
- 59:06Speaker 2: like yeah yeah yeah their logo.
- 59:09Speaker 16: But like I'm talking about, like, okay, in the First
- 59:12Speaker 16: Choice story, the like the Old Man like.
- 59:14Speaker 4: Playing tests with themselves.
- 59:15Speaker 16: They always do a short like that before every Pixar film,
- 59:18Speaker 16: So I maybe would have put it at like three
- 59:21Speaker 16: and a half stars out of five instead of three
- 59:24Speaker 16: out of five if they had a short, and they didn't, so.
- 59:29Speaker 13: So three three out of five.
- 59:31Speaker 2: This is a three three star movie. According to Emily,
- 59:34Speaker 2: the movie took my half star back. Yeah yeah, but
- 59:37Speaker 2: if you have kids, they're gonna love it, yes, right.
- 59:39Speaker 16: And I think ultimately it's meant for the parents, like
- 59:43Speaker 16: you know that have kids now that that's how I
- 59:46Speaker 16: took it.
- 59:47Speaker 13: I mean, but kids will definitely enjoy this well good.
- 59:50Speaker 2: I mean, that's exactly why I would have I saw
- 59:51Speaker 2: the first one is because I had kids, and then
- 59:53Speaker 2: I was like, damn, this is an unbelievably good movie.
- 59:56Speaker 4: Oh now that you've got grandkidsity.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I'm all back in it. But I'm gonna tell you
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: as yeah, I'm very excited. And he's a boy, so
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I mean about to get loose with it. How old
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: is he? He's like three months now, three and a
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: half months. But it won't it won't be long before
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: he'll be writing four wheelers and shooting guns.
- 1:00:13Speaker 13: We'll go for sure, got to get him a woody
- 1:00:17Speaker 13: seven years.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Jim's finally going to watch this franchise and go it was, Man,
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: what else you got first? Today?
- 1:00:24Speaker 14: All Right?
- 1:00:24Speaker 16: The other movie I saw is Leviticus, and I had
- 1:00:28Speaker 16: very high hopes for this one. It's an LGBTQ horror film,
- 1:00:33Speaker 16: which that alone is like a very niche genre.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I've not heard of one before, so ultimately niche.
- 1:00:40Speaker 16: Yeah, and and honestly, that sort of representation is not
- 1:00:44Speaker 16: represented often in films, and especially not in horror films,
- 1:00:48Speaker 16: so it got me excited just to see.
- 1:00:50Speaker 13: What they were going to do with it.
- 1:00:51Speaker 16: And the very general premise is that this teenager and
- 1:00:56Speaker 16: his mom moved to this small town in Australia, you know,
- 1:01:00Speaker 16: some podunktown, and she's very religious and he ends up
- 1:01:05Speaker 16: having a relationship with another teenager and they go through
- 1:01:11Speaker 16: this like kind of religious cleansing, like sort of like
- 1:01:15Speaker 16: to like kind of their version of like conversion therapy,
- 1:01:22Speaker 16: and it essentially summons a demon that anytime they see it,
- 1:01:26Speaker 16: it looks like whatever person they're most into, they don't
- 1:01:31Speaker 16: ever know if the person yes, So it's kind of
- 1:01:36Speaker 16: like a psychological horror. It was also a bit of
- 1:01:38Speaker 16: a body horror. But ultimately, and I think I'm going
- 1:01:42Speaker 16: to have a hot take here because I saw generally
- 1:01:45Speaker 16: really good reviews for it over the over the weekend.
- 1:01:47Speaker 16: I only gave this one and a half.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: That's it was.
- 1:01:55Speaker 16: It was not good and I and I genuinely don't
- 1:01:58Speaker 16: understand because it was the most shallow storytelling, like.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Really, so you think that the reviewers steel obligated because
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: of the nature of the movie, because of the.
- 1:02:07Speaker 16: I think perhaps, And of course, like you know, we
- 1:02:12Speaker 16: want that kind of representation and films whenever there's a
- 1:02:16Speaker 16: good story. And I do think the concept is really cool.
- 1:02:19Speaker 16: That's why I went to the movie, because I was like,
- 1:02:21Speaker 16: I like this concept, and sure, oh there was I
- 1:02:25Speaker 16: have to share this. There was a letterbox review that
- 1:02:28Speaker 16: said you can't spell Pride month without demon.
- 1:02:33Speaker 13: Make me laugh. That made me laugh.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I don't think that was the but I.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: But it's even better that you did.
- 1:02:41Speaker 16: And I feel like it was you a few weeks
- 1:02:42Speaker 16: ago that mentioned It follows. Yes, so I still haven't
- 1:02:46Speaker 16: seen it yet, but a lot of people have been
- 1:02:48Speaker 16: saying this is like the Timu It follows. Oh really, yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:53Speaker 16: like It Follows, did it much better?
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: It Follows does have a similar kind of experience with
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: the bad guy type thing, you know, but it's done
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: way better, and it's just it. They managed to capture
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: that low fi thing that makes horror movies that much better. Yeah,
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: you know, and and yeah, yeah, I but I haven't
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: seen litt bit again, so I don't know the comparison.
- 1:03:14Speaker 16: I definitely need to watch It Follows, because I saw
- 1:03:17Speaker 16: a lot of comparisons between the two of them. And yeah,
- 1:03:21Speaker 16: ultimately this was also I was really looking forward to
- 1:03:25Speaker 16: watching a ninety minute movie. I love a ninety minute yeah,
- 1:03:28Speaker 16: sure thing. Most movies I feel don't need to be
- 1:03:31Speaker 16: more than ninety minutes, maybe sometimes two hours, and there
- 1:03:34Speaker 16: are very rare exceptions. This one did was way too short,
- 1:03:37Speaker 16: and it was a ninety minute movie. Oh really, it
- 1:03:39Speaker 16: was like two thirds of.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: A movie in horror movies on are the ones who
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: really follow that like comedies and horrors, it's ninety minutes,
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: you know, that's in and out like dramas, and you know,
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: dialogue movies is the ones you you really have to
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: kind of get into the story and make sure everybody
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: understands what's going on. But horror movies and comedies usually
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: don't have to follow that, and that is kind of odd. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: stillone movies in the eighties, I wanted he wanted him
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: ninety minutes so you could get quicker turnover at box.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: I realized that well.
- 1:04:10Speaker 16: And also I'm just surprised that's not more of a
- 1:04:12Speaker 16: thing now, just because people's attention spans are so low.
- 1:04:18Speaker 16: You know, like two and a half movies is like
- 1:04:20Speaker 16: the average for a movie now two and a half hours.
- 1:04:24Speaker 16: Yeah excuse me, Yeah, two and a half hours is
- 1:04:25Speaker 16: like the average.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: How long is disclosure to it? Is it two and
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: a half a hour?
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Yeah? Wow yeah, And that was your complain about that.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: It was just too long, right, that.
- 1:04:33Speaker 13: Was too long? That one dragged, That one dragged for me.
- 1:04:36Speaker 16: So yeah, I think there's going to be a lot
- 1:04:38Speaker 16: of people that will enjoy this, and I think any
- 1:04:40Speaker 16: sort of representation I think for LGBTQ community, especially in
- 1:04:44Speaker 16: that kind of genre, is great. I wouldn't recommend it.
- 1:04:48Speaker 16: A lot of people have also recommended, and I haven't
- 1:04:50Speaker 16: seen this, and I really want to. I saw the
- 1:04:51Speaker 16: TV Glow, which came out last year. I saw the
- 1:04:55Speaker 16: TV Glow, So it's another LGBTQ horror film. I think
- 1:04:59Speaker 16: it's an H one for film as well. And it's
- 1:05:01Speaker 16: more about like the trans experience and it's a psychological horror,
- 1:05:05Speaker 16: so again not really delving into the same themes that
- 1:05:08Speaker 16: Leviticus is. But I would probably, even having not seen that,
- 1:05:13Speaker 16: recommend that over this.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: What is that one? I think I think has landed better.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Do you have a favorite horror movie? Do you like
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: the do you by the way, do you like the
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: comedy horror thing?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I do?
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Have you seen Widows Bay yet? On Apple?
- 1:05:26Speaker 11: Me too?
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: I know it's good you do. I actually made these guys.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: We have We do a segment on Tuesdays called what
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: you Do That's New and it's what you know. I
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: get to choose what these guys watch, your read or
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: listen to, and then they get to come back. So
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: it's each of us get to kind of, you know,
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: show these guys what we're into and stuff, and I
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: made them watch or I asked them to watch the
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: first episode of Widow's Bay. They just got picked up
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: for the second season, which is wild because The Burrows
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: did not, Yeah, get picked up for a second season.
- 1:05:49Speaker 13: Wow, you couldn't know, so I shouldn't if it's not
- 1:05:52Speaker 13: getting picked up second.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Shouldn't it really? To be honest with you, it starts
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: off kind of strong, ends kind of weird. But this
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Widow's Bay thing has some kind of wacko moment Senate.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: But it's really cool and they set it up for
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: a second season and they did get approved for it.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: But it really is kind of cool and it's comedy
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: horror what usually until I saw Cabin in the Woods,
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: I never really got into that. It mean, Cabin in
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: the Woods kind of broke the mold for that. It'sn't
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: it funny how we do that? Like you hear that
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: the Burrows. It's one complete season. It has an ending,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: but what we find out, wait, it didn't earn a
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: second season. I don't want to watch it now. And
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: by the way, it's a little controversial and why because
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: the cast is crazy, like Gina Davis. Wow, Alfred Melino. Yeah, yeah, dude,
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: I mean yes, yeah, yeah. They're big, big time players
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: in this show.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: Why didn't get picked up, Well.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: There's some like a little controversy with Netflix on something,
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: and they're saying there's a possibility they're going to try
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: to move forward with the storyline with another production company.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: But there's some drama on why this thing didn't get
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: picked up in the second season because it was it
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: was kind of viral the first two or three or
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: four episodes. Well, I think it's they go by, Uh,
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: it's a ratio of how many people started to how
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: many people finish the series, and it has to be
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: at a certain number, like fifty percent. That's very interesting.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Then I have to finish a series, and if it
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: falls lower than that, they're like, it's not worth the
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: second season.
- 1:07:12Speaker 13: That's coraz.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: Wait do you do that? By the way, do you
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: if you start like one of these series, like one
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: of these eight, you know, six to eight ten episode series,
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: and do you feel obligated to finish it because or
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: if the first two or three episodes aren't good, will
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: you ditch it?
- 1:07:24Speaker 16: If I really hate it? No, But otherwise I'm interested
- 1:07:27Speaker 16: to see how those story lank and also a lot
- 1:07:30Speaker 16: of times, like I think about other series that I
- 1:07:32Speaker 16: have loved over the years, that sometimes in those pilot
- 1:07:36Speaker 16: episodes they're just kind of getting their footing. So depending
- 1:07:39Speaker 16: on the story, you need to give it more than
- 1:07:40Speaker 16: two or three episodes. But if it's really bad, I'll
- 1:07:43Speaker 16: just but.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: I'll gotta tell you though. Jack has a formula and
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: I will tell you if it has if it has more,
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: if it has eight episodes or more, you have to
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: watch it to the fourth episode. That's always the turning point.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Matter of fact, I'd mentioned a show to Jack the
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: other day and I said, I don't know, man, it
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: goes get to the fourth episode, and we've done that.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I don't know if you know this, I've got to
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: track that, like this has happened like three or four
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: times now that you'll watch the first two episodes, you're like,
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: I don't know, it doesn't seem to be hitting for me.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: And then Jack's like, well, wait to that fourth episode,
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: and this hat you know, he will just say wait,
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: and sure enough, every time it's exactly right. It's about
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: a third of the way into the season, either the
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: three to the fourth episode, where it's like they have
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: to inject something to kind of build the momentum to
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: take them to this. I think the second to last
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: episode is usually the one that really has all the
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: you know, action in it, and then that last one
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: is there, wrapping it up, wrapping it up.
- 1:08:35Speaker 16: Yeah, that's such a good formula. Well, you know, funnily enough,
- 1:08:39Speaker 16: I started a new series yesterday, Spider.
- 1:08:42Speaker 13: Noir, which I'm behind on. I've been sleeping.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: On Spider Man stuff. I think, I know. Have you
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: been watching this color black and white? Oh? Black and white? Right?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: They give you the option you can watch it either
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: in color? Really?
- 1:08:57Speaker 13: Yes?
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Yeah? And what means that though? Doesn't it?
- 1:09:00Speaker 10: So?
- 1:09:00Speaker 13: Did you ever watch Spider Verse? Like in Spider Verse?
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: But Ross says it's some of the best stuff they
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: ever did with the Spider Man character.
- 1:09:07Speaker 13: I think if they if they they need.
- 1:09:10Speaker 16: To come out with a third one because it was
- 1:09:11Speaker 16: supposed to come out last year and they're very very
- 1:09:14Speaker 16: behind on it. But if and when they finally finished
- 1:09:16Speaker 16: the third movie and they release it, if it's as
- 1:09:18Speaker 16: good as I think it's going to be, I think
- 1:09:20Speaker 16: it will be the best superhero trilogy of all time,
- 1:09:23Speaker 16: not just animated superhero like Superhero Trilogy.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: When Ross saw that first, remember that, when he saw
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: the first one, he goes, Man, I don't know, he goes,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: it's kind of wild. I think this is the best
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Spider Man stuff I've ever seen, better than any of
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: the major motion pictures. And it's animated, and it's animated.
- 1:09:39Speaker 13: It's so good.
- 1:09:41Speaker 16: So so this series, sess on Amazon Prime. It's not animated,
- 1:09:45Speaker 16: it's live action. But Nicholas Cage, who does the voice
- 1:09:48Speaker 16: of Spider Noir or he's called the Spider that from
- 1:09:54Speaker 16: the Spider Verse, he stars in this series.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Oh really, it's so good.
- 1:09:58Speaker 13: Really, it's so it's filmed like a noir.
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: Do you have to like the do you have to
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: like the character? Like you know, it's just a story.
- 1:10:07Speaker 13: Is good, The story's good.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:08Speaker 13: Just just give it a whirl, even if you haven't
- 1:10:09Speaker 13: seen Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Maybe I will. Yes, I love it and out of
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: mind black and white stuff always seem.
- 1:10:14Speaker 13: You can watch it in color too, you can.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: But don't. Yeah, I wouldn't know if it's meant to
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: be that. And you can switch, you could switch back
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: and forth, and I'm like, oh, let me try it.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: I'm like, not loses something. It's much better rights. It's
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: a nineteen like thirties detective. Yeah, so it just the
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: black and white just really lends itself to that.
- 1:10:33Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm loving it. So that's what I'm watching right now.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Very nice. What do you have coming up first? Next week?
- 1:10:39Speaker 16: Oh, next week, I'm gonna be out of town next week,
- 1:10:42Speaker 16: but Supergirl.
- 1:10:43Speaker 13: I know, I know I have a family reunion and
- 1:10:46Speaker 13: I know in New York. I'm very excited to see
- 1:10:48Speaker 13: my family.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 1:10:48Speaker 16: But I know Supergirl is coming out, and oh there's
- 1:10:52Speaker 16: something else coming out too, but Supergirls is like a big,
- 1:10:55Speaker 16: big movie, so I'm very excited to cover that.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Very cool. Yeah, well we'll get that when you get
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: back here. Yay, thank good. Love for Emily. Guys. Yeah,
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: the movie Girl right there. Where can they find you online?
- 1:11:06Speaker 16: Oh you can follow me on letterbox right now at
- 1:11:09Speaker 16: m retro Reels. Okay, that's letter box on letterbox. Yeah,
- 1:11:15Speaker 16: and uh, we have more to come. I have a
- 1:11:17Speaker 16: podcast will hopefully be starting like beginning of August.
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: Very nice.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, looking forward to that. You got it. We'll
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: see soon, all right? All right for seven nine one
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: text us seven seven zero three one back in a
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: second with more of the Jim Golbert Shows. It o'hana.
- 1:11:32Speaker 17: Oh man, you guys like cram in for a test
- 1:11:34Speaker 17: with this cadiokey thing. Anyway, I think I gotta figure
- 1:11:38Speaker 17: it out. Brod do you one Love by Bob Marley?
- 1:11:40Speaker 17: See if you can can get Naomi to take part
- 1:11:43Speaker 17: in this. Somebody can sing the lead and you do
- 1:11:47Speaker 17: you need three others just to be the I threes.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: Bob had the serious backed up singers. But easy song
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: key is easy.
- 1:11:55Speaker 17: To sing in.
- 1:11:57Speaker 18: Helloha, Helloha, Jimmy, if you don't do Skeeter down Easter
- 1:12:01Speaker 18: a caffish song, there's not a hair left on your head.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Okay, buddy, that's a it's just a glance away from realization. Sir, Yeah,
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: it is done. It's a scalp as Barren, Welcome back
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: to the Jim Colbert Show or All Radio one oh
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: four point one. I am Jim. There's Deba and Jack
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: here as well. Look at the bright side. You don't
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: have Dan driffishues to deal with, you are correct, sir?
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Just on my back, just that it's because the I
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: get that hair back there, That's what I'm saying. But no,
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Dan Drift, I don't have dandro By the way, if
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: you have dangerous don't don't wear black T shirts bad.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Look there's a guy around here that used to work
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: here and he had horrible dandriff and he always wore
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: black T shirts. I'm like, dog, I mean, can you
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: mean when you look in the mirror, what do you
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: think that is? Buddy? Remember, yeah, don't do that. I've
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: never had dandriff tho, I never had to do that.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: You guys ever like the head and shoulders thing, Jack,
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: you have dandriff hair? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: have hair that could get danger Yeah. That's a big
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: plus of being scalp. Yeah, is that what it is? Yeah?
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: So I used his head and like twice a week,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna hit you with something real quick because I
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: want I want people during the break to either leave
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: a talk back regarding this or give us some feedback.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: At seven seven zero three one, my wife just texts
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: me an Instagram video and she says, is this true?
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: And it's very interesting because of course gas prices are high.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Even though they are dropping, they're still well above where
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: they were just like eight eight, ten months ago.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: Yeah, were three sixty two right now. Last year this
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: time it was three eleven.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: It was okay, good, so still manageable. I guess not
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: four fifty a gallon like it was just two or
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: three four weeks ago. But I guess it could change
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: any minute.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: Who knows a minute.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: But with that said, the video claims that you should
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: fill your car up at night because filling your car
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: up during the day you get less gas. Because he
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: expands it. Yes, oh have you heard this argument before. Briefly,
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I don't know if it's true. I don't think it is,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: but the I think it would be so minimal the
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: difference you think, Yeah, well, I don't know either. And
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: to be honest with you, when when she said this
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: to me, I'm gonna try to find it right here
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: on my uh. When she said this to me, I
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: was like, I don't know. I mean, look, I mean,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: I guess anything could be tried. Look, here's the thing
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I've learned this don't Absolutes are the absolute stupidest thing
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: you could do. Absolutely only absolutes, right, it says let
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: me see right here. Yeah, it says how temperature affects
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: the actual amount of fuel you get when filling up
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: during the day versus night. Now, the one thing that's
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: kind of wild. Is this on the right, they're filling
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: it up, and it says at night right right, it's
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: right there. You can see it happening against if you're
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: looking at the on the feed right now, that's that's
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: just But what they're not telling you is is that
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: pump on the right is pumping diesel. Oh well, and
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: the one on the left is pumping gasoline. Well, then
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: there you go. There's your difference. Yeah, because I mean
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: the handle means diesel fuel, yeah, and the other one
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: means gasoline. So I don't know, obviously that doesn't look
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: like it's right. I just actually just noticed that it
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: says fuel expands when it's hot and contracts when it's cold.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: This means density changes constantly throughout the day, and even
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: if the volume dispensed by the pump remains the same,
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: the energy containing that volume changes because of temperature. And
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: I've never heard that in my life ever.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: And uh, well, maybe the next video they cut they can,
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: you know, make sure they use the right colored gas handles.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't know. It seems wild. I mean,
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: a diesel fuel is a I guess more dense. I
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: know it's oily. You know, unlike gasoline. So I don't know,
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: all right, four oh seven nine four one texts us
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: at seven seven zero three one one.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: Well, we do have the smartest.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: Audience without a what I mean, without a non radio,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: not even a second guest there. No, And also I
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: do want to talk about the state Bargasi thing. I
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: find it very interesting. We'll do that next.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: Culver crew.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: It's Sarah, Hello on my favorite topic, against gas and
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: gas prices. So a lot of times I play the
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: oh good gas in the morning, and I forget that
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: my schedule. I'm usually in at work at four am,
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: so it means at three three thirty in the morning,
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: I'm getting gas. So I wonder if that is a
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: bad time to get gas. I mean, obviously safety wise,
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: but that's irrelevant anyway, Bye.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Bye, I'll be careful out there. I don't think it
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: has any validity. Yeah, yeah, it shouldn't be irrelevant. Your
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: safety should be a priority, Sarah. A number one place
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: for a tax though, right, gas, Yes, is it? Yeah?
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: I think it's considered outside of the obvious, one of
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: the most unsafe places for for women. I did not
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: know that. Yeah, pumping gas, you're vulnerable your car is
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: usually uh off and uh.
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: You may have the keys in your hands, right, yeah.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: You're standing outside by yourself. Yeah, so back to the
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: vale the day of it. Do you get a better
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: deal if you're getting gas in cooler temperatures? They said,
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: it's it's negligible. The difference. It's a few more molecules. Oh,
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: the energy producing molecules seventy Yeah, it's like seventy dollars
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: with a gas two molecules. All right, welcome back on Jen.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: There's dead Hello Jack as well. Yep, just heads up.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: The show will be best of tomorrow from until about
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: like maybe four o'clock or so, and then we'll be
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: in after that shortly thereafter, yeah, shortly thereafter sing on traffic.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: So there will be live show tomorrow, but in the beginning,
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: we have a company meeting we have to go to.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: It should end in time for us to get here
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: and start the show in the four o'clock hours sometime, right, Yeah.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: So if you watch it in the beginning and you
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: don't see YouTube A three YouTube will be live as
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: soon as we are live. But we have to come
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: from an off site location. It's not even in the building. Yeah,
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: it's not for sure, all right, seven zero three to one.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: That's how you text us. If you want to do that,
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: you can send a talk back like a friend, Sarah.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Just grab the iHeartRadio app good Real Radio and use it,
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Mike to send your comment over all. Right, So this
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: Nick Barghatzy thing. Have you seen any of this? Yes?
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: No, you have?
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: You have not? Okay, have you read any of this stuff?
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: What do you think about this? Check? I find this
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: interesting because this is a really unique thing. By the way,
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: what I am aware of, I'm not sure. Okay, So
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: what I'm aware of is Niate Bargatzy attended the UFC
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: fight on the White House lawnch he did, yes, saying
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: he is a big UFC fan to ended up taking
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: a picture with and his wife and then was receiving
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: so some picture was posted. I assume it's that one,
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: and then he was taking heat online for basically what's
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: considered a political motivated stance by going to that event,
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: where his defense is, hey, I'm just a UFC fan, right, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: and it's what I know. So yeah, and it's very interesting. Right, So,
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: you know, being on Instagram and you know, just kind
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: of checking out social media over the Weekend. Man, I
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: gotta tell you, it's kind of wild how people are
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: reacting to this.
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: It's really hard.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: Like I'm reading the Daily Beast that was just posted
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: an hour ago where comedian W. Kmal Bell slammed Mega
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: Curious celebrities including Nate Bargatzy for quote flirting with fascists.
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, man, if you I mean, if you want to know,
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: I mean, look, this guy can do whatever he wants.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: He's a grown ass man. He's very successful. He can
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: do whatever, he can go wherever he wants. I find
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: it unbelievable that people would go out and go on
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: social media and write a whole piece and come down
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: on this guy as if he's done something wrong. He
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: went to a fight that he was invited to. It
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: happened to be at the White House.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: It is.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: It was a very controversial thing, no question, But my god, man,
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: this guy can't live his life like he By the way,
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: he's a comedian and and he doesn't do politics in
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: his comedy, So why does it matter where he goes.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: I guess I don't understand the outrage here because he
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: chose to go to a fight he was invited to.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: He loves the sport. I mean, look, I get the
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: supposed controversy, but gosh almighty, I mean coming down on
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: this guy like crazy, like I mean, like like honestly,
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: it's like they found out he did something nefarious, Like
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: they found out like he was a criminal behind the scenes.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: And he's been selling this good ol, I don't know
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: what I'm doing, country boy bit to everybody. And now
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: that he's that he went to this fight at the
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: White House, now he's this giant maga supporting you know, Psycho.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: It was it was unbelievable when I was reading that
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: this weekend. I just couldn't believe that people would take
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: their time to go out and write something like this
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: about this guy. I don't get it at all. Could
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: somebody explain it to me Why it's such a big
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: deal that he went to this I mean, it doesn't
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: and who cares how he identifies politically? Well many people do. Yeah,
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: I understand that, but but but it doesn't affect his job.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: He doesn't talk about it in his job. It doesn't
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: matter at all. How I mean, I don't understand how
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: you could come down on somebody. He doesn't even tell
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: you how he voted. You don't even know how he voted.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: You have no idea. Nobody has a clue. He's never
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: come out and said I voted for this person or
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: that person or whatever. He went to an event he
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: was invited to, obviously because he got into the harness
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: area to get into. Yeah, I just I guess I
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: don't understand how you could be so like critical of
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: somebody just doing something with their life. He's did he
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: donate money to them? I mean, can they prove that?
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: How did his appearance of that show help at all
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: or do anything to that movement other than just go
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: and enjoy the fight, by the way. It was a
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: great nut of fights, by the way, And some people
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: were criticizing you for talking about how glowingly how good
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: the fights were. Yeah, yeah, and it's dumb. I mean
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: I think that criticism. Look, here's the thing. You could
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: criticize me for a lot of things. The fights were good,
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: and I'm sorry that, you know, I'm not even sorry.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Actually the fight was very controversial. Look, we've never seen
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: anything like this this entire administration. We've never seen anything
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: like this ever before. So you know how people can't
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: get beyond it and go, okay, well you didn't like
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: the you didn't like it was at the White House.
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: Completely understand that. You you think it, you think it
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: decordates the the the honor of the White House. I
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: completely understand that, and I and I would probably even
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: say the same thing. That doesn't take away from the
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: night of the fights was amazing. Every single fight was
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: fun to watch. And you can't just be a fan
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: of UFC and not dip your toe into the politics
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: of it. Because it was at the White House and
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: because it was like that. I'm sure some people who
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: watched it were or went there were, but for some
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: they consider it a birthday party for Donald Trump, and
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: those who opposed Donald Trump on whatever grounds, will link
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: that event with Donald Trump. I tried to unlink them.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: You know, well, no, no, I get a hundred percent. Yeah.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: I mean it was pretty I mean they did you
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: notice that he had a spotlight on him the entire time?
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: I did not see any I mean, if you watched
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: the footage, he was glowing the entire time. So I
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: don't know if that was by design or whatever. But
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: when they swing the camera around Donald Trump and and
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Avonte is it, Oh my god, Millennia, they were right
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: there and I mean they were kind of glowingly lit
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: the entire time, so the camera ever panned, you couldn't
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: miss him sitting there. But that doesn't take anything away
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: from Nick Burghescci and he is catching it. I mean,
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: bad dude, I've not seen this. I've not seen feedback
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: like this is Chappelle's stuff. And then again, I don't
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: know how bad is it when you talk about someone
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: who's popular. Is it just a handful of comment and
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: then people keep reporting on that. It's like sometimes I
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: think the criticism is the story itself. It seems a
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: little larger than it truly is. When you pull a
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: bunch of people. Would most people care that, oh he
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: went big deal. But I tell you because it doesn't
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: affect his comedy. But for a certain group of people,
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: anything that identifies with Donald Trump, anyone who identifies with him,
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: is like, you know, considered the enemy. And that's a
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: really weird way. That's a really odd thing to do.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: It really is weird. That's an odd that is an
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: odd way to look at life. In my opinion, I mean,
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: this guy, look, he he is a comedian. Like you
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: do you believe that had he gone to the Obama
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: but library thing that he would be getting this and heat? Yeah? No, right,
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: I mean would he get any heat? And like it's
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: like they're trying to cancel this guy, Like there are
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: people out there, active, active people are trying to like no, no, no, no,
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: it's true because they're pointing out his movie, They're pointing
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: out all the the they're they're talking about, Hey, look
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: remember this guy when he opens up his theme park.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Remember this guy when he starts his TV show, Remember
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: this guy when he does his movie. I mean they're
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: literally without saying, hey, don't go to this guy shows
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: or buy anything Nate Bargatci related. They are doing everything
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: but saying exactly that. I know, I understand that. But
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: when you say they, I think there's some people who
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: think it's everyone who doesn't like Donald Trump believes that. No, no,
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: I don't believe that. Really. I'm one of the social
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: media people, and I think that is a small core.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: And you know, some of it might just be bot
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: activity of Again, you find something controversial, you keep feeding
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: it to people's feeds, and you just keep generating. Does
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: it get clicks? It works, Oh, let's keep pushing out
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: more of this. And I think there's so much garbage
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: out there where Really, the amount of people who really
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: feel that way is probably not gonna change anything in
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: the financial world and success of Nate Bargatt's I haven't
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: seen like The part that was interesting is like, like,
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: I haven't seen anything like this where they are he's
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: not done anything wrong. Like if you're going to cancel somebody,
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: you know there are a number of comedians that have
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: been canceled because of their actions. He did nothing wrong
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: it and I'm telling you, Jack, when I can show
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: you the Instagram videos are on the breaks, it seems
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: like they're trying to cancel this guy. And I understand
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: what you're saying. It's a small group of people. But
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: when you look at the people who are liking and
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: following and sharing these videos, I mean it may be bots,
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: who knows, but it is. It is the craziest heat
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: I've seen for somebody that didn't do anything wrong. He
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: didn't blink with a child, he didn't date anybody under age,
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: no drug issues, he wasn't duying, he didn't steal anything.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: He didn't like this guy fase on love that was
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: in elf. He didn't he hasn't you know, hundreds of
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: thousands of dollars behind on his child support. This guy
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: did nothing wrong. He went to a UFC fight, that's
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: all he did. And this guy's getting chewed up online
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: like he did something really crazy.
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: It's gonna make you nuts too, deb right, Oh yeah,
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: I just can't believe none of this has come across
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: my feet.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: Really, yeah, you're not You're not really a Barghatci person.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: I don't follow.
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: I mean, but I mean enough that you know other
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: comedians I follow that you would think something this viral
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: would pop up on my feet instead of the Tartan army.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: And look, man, I gotta tell you, I don't know
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: that there's anybody hotter. I mean, maybe a little bit
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: different now, but I mean two years, three years ago,
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: this guy went on a run that is like, you know,
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: it's let's just say it's theme park.
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: Bi.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: I mean, this guy's opening a theme park. I mean
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: he's opening a theme park. Like he's a comic and
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: he's opening a theme park. He just had a major
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: movie it kind of bombed. But he has this TV
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: show thing. I don't know how it's doing. He tours
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: around the country and these and the stadium and arena
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: tours and they're selling out. What do you sell out
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: in New York? Like three or four nights in a
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: row like these giant arena shows, and and just doesn't
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: do anything wrong. He seems like a like it seems
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: like the guy. He seems like a guy that America
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: would want to get behind, like a like a real
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: good kind of country boy that's not doing any curse
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: words or any any controversy. Yeah, he's very non controversial.
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: Oh but he's like vanilla ice cream dude. And they
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: are eating this guy out like he did. Look, he
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: said an orphanage on fire. It's crazy. It's a guilt
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: by association thing where it's like if people were reported
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: to be at a party that Jeffrey Epstein was having, right,
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: oh yeah, yeah, you know you're gonna look at them like,
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: oh really, And I think some people have that same
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: feeling towards the president. Well you look, I mean you
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: look at the people who are coming back like Luis c.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: K admittedly masturbated in front of his employees. Yeah, like
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: pin them against the wall, and this guy's coming back Chrystialia.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: You know guys like that doing stuff like that, and
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: they let him right back in, Nate Brides did nothing
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: like that. Matter of fact, it's the exact opposite. If
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: you ever wanted anybody in the entertainment business you look
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: at and say, you know what, if you did it
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: like that, you'd be doing it right. Just because he
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: would do a UFC fight at a at the White
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: House where the president nobody likes or you know, the
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: president that these guys don't like that, they just chew
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: this guy up in the media, and now as publicists
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: are going crazy trying to find oh, Nate's not politically,
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: he's not political, and nobody's listening to that, like he's
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: just basically telling them the trup like I'm not a
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: political I just went to the fight. And now it's
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: like we're outing this maga comedian like they've done something big,
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: like they've outed him, like like, oh, look at this guy,
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: like he's done anything wrong. I do not understand this
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: level of hatred for somebody who literally did not break
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: a law, did not commit a crime in any way,
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: shape or form. Matter of fact, it's the exact opposite.
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: All he's done is show America how to do it
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: the right way, or not the right way, but do
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: it a clean way, the Seinfeld way you mean his comedy. Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: I don't believe there is controversy. I believe it's more
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: of it's just internet nonsense. Yeah. I think it's internet fluff.
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: You know. Yes, they're probably responding to I don't think
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: it's that big a deal. I don't think it affects
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: how he sells tickets to anything. Yeah.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: It's kind of like Kanye right, I mean, you have
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: senators and governors all over the country calling for his
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: concerts to be canceled. They're not going to be canceled,
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: and not only that, they're going to be slammed.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: Yeah, So I think the same thing is gonna happen
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: with Nate.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: I think I think going forward, with more invitations, he's
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: going to be like, all right, let me read the
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: room of or.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: I say, yes, you guys, I would agree with that
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: until the bud light thing happened. Like I would agree
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: with both of what you guys are saying one hundred
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: percent until that bud light thing happened, until right a
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: group of people big enough to go, you know what,
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: we don't care for that action. You've done nothing wrong,
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: you didn't break any laws, That's okay.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: Bud Light ended up being the sponsored for the UFC fight,
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: but you see what I'm saying, It all comes full
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: circle event.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: But it didn't stop them from losing the torch holding
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: of being America's most popular beer. Now it's not a
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: matter of fact. I think it's third now. They took
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: a titan to its knees because they played a commercial
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: they didn't like. So, in my opinion, like you can
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: look at this as like internet fodder, and I completely
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: understand it probably is a lot of that, but when
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: the bud Light thing happened, you have to pay more
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: of attention to that because, I mean, when people are motivated,
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: especial people like that, and with communication being so easy
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: to communicate on a grand scale, you can affect somebody's
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: life like this.
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: I think it's different though. Bud Light is a consumer
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: product that a lot of people consume. Nate Bargatsy is
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: a comedian that you may or may not like his style,
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: and if you weren't going to buy his ticket before,
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: you're not gonna buy it now, or maybe you will
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: just to show your support.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was also a right wing thing, taking
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: taking down bud light. Yes it was yeah, yeah, but
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: that's what I'm saying. It was meant to be. What
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: the point was be. A group of people motivated can
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: have a massive effect on you. And my point is
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: I think right wing they're little better at working together
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: on that. They're better coordinated to do that on the
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: other where on the left it's just like ah, yeah,
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: move on. Yeah. I just I just looked at the
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: texting service because I had like a Jimmy, you're definitely
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: a trumper. I am not a trumper. See, I did
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: not vote for Donald Trump. I would never vote for
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: Donald Trump. I am not a trumper at all. So
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: you could say that I'm making an argument for a
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: guy who I think should be defended here simply because
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: he's done nothing wrong. He was at a fight that
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: a lot of people didn't care for. It doesn't matter.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: He just went to a fight. He didn't do anything wrong.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Is that we don't even know where the guy voted.
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: We don't know if he donates money. You don't know
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: any of that stuff. And that's the stuff that really
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: matters anyway. Four oh seven nine four one text us
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: at seven seven zero three one back in a second
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: with more than Jim Colbert, Joe.
- 1:32:12Speaker 19: Good afternoon on Cobo Crue, what's up Foxy Brown?
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: Here?
- 1:32:17Speaker 13: I am not for or against either side.
- 1:32:21Speaker 19: I am more on the fence because at the end
- 1:32:23Speaker 19: of the day, you have no clue what the hell
- 1:32:25Speaker 19: is going on behind fluo stores. These damn politicians anyway,
- 1:32:31Speaker 19: growing up of hours hurt. You should be known by
- 1:32:34Speaker 19: the company you keep, and that's a company he's been
- 1:32:37Speaker 19: seeing as keeping.
- 1:32:39Speaker 18: Hey, Jim, just some food for thought. Tell me if
- 1:32:42Speaker 18: there is somebody who is on the far left that
- 1:32:45Speaker 18: you don't like and disagree with a whole bunch, and
- 1:32:49Speaker 18: if that person put on a UFC fight with let's
- 1:32:52Speaker 18: say Tool as an opening act, and then they invited
- 1:32:55Speaker 18: you to attend, would you attend?
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: What did he expect was going to happen? You go
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: to a pedophile's birthday party, you're gonna get some heat.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: The same thing with Ozzy Osborn's kid. He went to it.
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: He's getting a bunch of heat too. It is.
- 1:33:15Speaker 14: It's one thing to watch it on TV, but to
- 1:33:16Speaker 14: actually go there in person, hang out with Trump and
- 1:33:19Speaker 14: all the other.
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: It's the family show.
- 1:33:24Speaker 9: Hey Colber, crew on Jim and responds to the Nate
- 1:33:28Speaker 9: Burgotzi thing. Yeah, you said, nothing like this has ever happened.
- 1:33:31Speaker 9: I'm not sure you mean that the fights and never
- 1:33:34Speaker 9: thinking much close Theodore Roosevelt did used to have boxing
- 1:33:38Speaker 9: exhibitions not only inside.
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: The White House but on the wall of the White House. Jack, Yeah,
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: it's not the same body, Listen. I understand that they
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: tried to create some comparisons though I even fell into
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: that a little bit. But it's not even close to
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: what this is, I mean, or what it was. It's
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: not even close. Yeah, but yeah, I guess I kind
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: of understand what people are saying. But I would say that,
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: you know, to everybody who is you know, texting in
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: I mean, would you go to a Louis c A
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: kesh a c K show? I mean would you? I mean,
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: I find the thing I find interesting. I'm getting so
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: much text here. I'm getting in my ass handed to
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: me here that are people are like, you're a Trumper,
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: now this is a Trump show. Now it's not. I
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: told you I didn't vote for this guy. I'm not
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: a fan of this administration at all. I think they're
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: unbelievably inept. But my point being is this, do you
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: guys hold everybody to that that. There's the thing I
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: used to say to Scott Maxwell all the time, like
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: do you use that logic anywhere else in your life?
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: Like?
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: Do you still listen to led Zeppelin knowing that Jimmy
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: Page had a relationship with a fifteen year old? How
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: about Aerosmith? Do you listen to Aerosmith? Do you like them?
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: You should read about the lead singer Steven Tyler in
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: the relationship ship he had with a thirteen or fourteen
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: year old. You listen to Elvis, Chili Peppers, Chili Peppers,
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: do you like those bands?
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: Do you like them?
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: Because every one of those bands that lead singer, the
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: part members of those bands had relationships with underage people.
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: Now again, I'm not trying to draw a comparison here.
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: I'm just saying there's a lot of times, and I've
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: had to get past this myself where you hold this hard,
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: hard take and then you don't apply it anywhere it's
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: in your life because it doesn't fit the parameters you
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: want it to live by. Right, Like, somebody just texted
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: and said something about the left always doing this, I'm like, well,
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: I got bad news for you, buddy. Here's three examples
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: of how it happened on the other side. But you
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: have to read different news sources to find those out.
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: If you only get your news from one source, you're
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: never going to hear the other side of the story.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: But all through life, how are the movies that you like?
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: You like those actors in those movies that have done
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: the crazy stuff?
- 1:35:36Speaker 7: You know?
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: I mean, I don't the association thing. I do understand.
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: I completely get.
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: Someone texted us seven seven zero three one. The issue
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: with Nate is that the UFC fight was politicized, so
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: knowing that when you attend, you are picking a side again,
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: the texter said, ergo, he could be getting canceled.
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: So you think he's picking a side? I mean, do you,
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: I mean, do you think that.
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: I'm so that he did not realize, with other celebrities
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: who had turned down the invitation, how it would look
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: when he went that it wasn't simply going to be
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: a fight. I am surprised that at that level of celebrity. Again,
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: he's he's building Nate Land. Uh, he can fill stadiums
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: multiple exactly. He understands what it looks like to be
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: on the other side of the lens. So for him
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: to forget that, and then and then to allow pictures
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: to be uploaded with some of the most controversial people
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: as part of the administration.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: I'm surprised he didn't go, wait.
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe this isn't.
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: Let me take a back see, let me let me
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: not go hang around with these people, let me just
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: go and enjoy the fights.
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: Let me keep a low profile. Do you think he
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: I mean, I'll go back to this question. Do you
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: think he would have received this kind of heat going
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: through the Obama Library opening?
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: No, because there isn't that much but the same issues.
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: I mean, it's apples and oranges in terms of how
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: the administration is viewed. This this administration is so it's
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: so divisive that there look at the texting service, right.
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: I completely understand. But my point being this, you say,
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: chose a.
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: Side, right, that's how That's how people saw it, right.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: But we don't know how he votes. We don't know
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: if he donates to any party. So if he goes
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: to the Obama thing, you're saying that the right would
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: be handing him as asked the same way that the
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: left is handing him as asked for this. I don't
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: you don't think so?
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: I don't know, because again we don't know how he voted,
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: so he put himself on this map. He could have
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: just gone and kept a low profile. You don't see me,
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: I'm not here. But then all these photos start popping
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: up and everyone's smiling ear to ear, and it does
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: look like you're having a good time, man.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: I tell you. And with the Obama Library opening with
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: all of those celebrities, when I see that, I assume
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: they all supported and voted for I think, and I
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: think that's a safe assumption. Yeah, yeah, that's a safe assumption.
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: But George Bush was there. Oh yeah, George Bush was there,
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: and Barbara and his wife Laura was there. Man, that's
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: a Republican president. I enjoyed the love fest. That was
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: awesome that they keep. Well you know that, right, George
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: Bush and Michelle Obama been like, yeah, I think he's
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: closer to her and he is him. Well they're drinking buddies.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: I'm serious, No, but publicly like thanking like George Bush
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: thanking the Obama. It's good to and I think they
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: do it purposely to show this is how people of
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: different political stripes can get along, exactly get along. There
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: was a time, Yeah, four oh seven nine one six
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: one four one text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: Somebody said, I think the best text just came in
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: and said it's tone deaf at the minimum. Another thing
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: that media in a charge in a charged society, with
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: all the news going into this and all the coverage
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: going into it. If I was his publicist, you would
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: probably say, hey, look just get get his adds up.
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: If you go to this thing, perfectly fine, you're probably
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: going to get some backlash for it.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: Or hey, if you're going to go to this, just
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: do yourself a favor and stay off social It's the well.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: You got photographed. I mean, there's nothing to really do
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: Well, but when you know you're being photographed, chances are
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: those photos aren't going to be going in a desk somewhere.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: You have to assume they're going on to social media.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: When you're a celebrity, you're taking selfies with people. That's why,
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: that's why they're taking them exactly exactly. Although when it's
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: the you know, when it's Robert Kennedy, you you know,
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: you don't expect them starts struck as much. I mean,
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: he's got a TV star wife. Yeah, let me ask
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: you this. If if Bargatzi goes to a Kennedy Honors
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: event and and Trump is there and it's a and
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: it's a White House produced kind of Trump administration produced
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: show and he goes to that, is it the same
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: as this? And if not, why not?
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: I think it would be the same.
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: And if you went to the Kennedy Honors, well, I
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: think it depends because the Kennedy Honors usually you are
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: there because you are connected or supporting one of the honorees. Okay,
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: but I think we saw it last time. There was
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: definitely backlash, and I think you see a lot of
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: the entertainment community anti Trump, and I think they, you know,
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: they feel if you step outside of that, they kind
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: of look at you, if not in the canceling manner,
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: but disappointed. And I think, yeah, text is a texture
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: pointed out that you know, maybe not canceling Nate just
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: disappointed to say, oh he did that. Let me ask you,
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: do you think his audience is primarily one Democrat or Republican?
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: Do you believe that there's a majority of either side
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: that are fans of his or do you think that
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: people are fans of his because he doesn't pick a
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: side like that.
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: That's why I really don't think that this is going
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: to have It may have a lasting value, lasting value.
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: It might be temporary.
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: We might see a temporary effect of this, but lasting no,
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: because again, this isn't a part of his act, right,
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: not part of his acts.
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: I've listened to everything he's ever put He's never mentioned politics,
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: not even not even a little bit.
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: But it wasn't like this thing was just put together
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: and he got his invitation and stopped body. There was
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: weeks of press about just how divisive that issue was
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: for him not to recognize that.
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: I mean, I know he loves UFC, but yeah, I
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: just think it's this is the era work.
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: Social media doing what social media does. Yet they find something,
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: they find something hut or and everything wells it clicks,
- 1:41:28Speaker 2: what gets the attention, you know, it's it's more than
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: social media. It's it's more than social media. It's been
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: on major news sites as well. I mean, maybe powered
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: by social media, but it's definitely makes fact. It's made
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: the headlines that the speedback and I think because of
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: the conversation we're having now is because you know, I
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: think people kind of you know, guilty by association, Because
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: I mean so that means if you ever went to
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: a show where a band member did something crazy in
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: their life or guilty by association, or eever I went
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: to see a movie or a movie star had a
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: questionable history in their past, did some stupid stuff that
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: kind of made themselves right now, I'm guilty by association.
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: What do you do if you have someone in your
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: family who voted for Trump? Are you cutting them off? Yeah,
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: you're not talking to them? No, Like half my family
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: voted for Trump.
- 1:42:09Speaker 14: I can't.
- 1:42:10Speaker 11: What do you do?
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: That's what that's how they feel. I can't. I can't
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: look at them and go, hey, look I can't have
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: Thanksgiving with you now, you can't come over for Christmas.
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: I mean, I just that's I think that's the the
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: I think the hipocrisy I see here is that very thing.
- 1:42:24Speaker 2: It's these It's that just like I said earlier, it's like,
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: do you apply that logic anywhere else in your life?
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: Do you do you not listen to albums or do
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: you not go to movies or watch TV shows with
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: people who have questionable past? Because if you if you do,
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: and then you're saying this thing about bargatsy. I think
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: that's I think it's hipocrisy because I plank. You can't
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: hold somebody to that same level and not hold everybody
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: to that same level. I don't think that's fair, right,
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: I mean with humanity, Yeah, I guess. I mean the
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: second you make it, you want it to make sense. Yeah,
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: I mean, But I just I have a difficult time
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: with that, just as the way my brain works. Have
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: a very difficult time with people who play apply this
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: super hardcore logic to one thing, and then right beside
- 1:43:08Speaker 2: that there's something that applies that it could easily apply to.
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: But they like that, they like that, that makes them happy.
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: So I'm not gonna apply it to that because I
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: don't like that. I don't want I don't want to
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: get a word. I don't want to get rid of
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: that in my life. I don't take my kid rock
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: records a way. I don't do that, you know. I
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: don't want to do that because I like that stuff.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: And I'm gonna look past that because I like that,
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: But I really don't like this, so I'm gonna apply
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: it really hard here. I just have a difficult time
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: with that for some reason, and maybe I'm wrong. Who knows?
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: Michael Jackson is an interesting case. Someone respected that to
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: Real Mobile seven seven zero three one, And did you
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: even watch the movie? I mean this is the guy.
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: I mean again, he was never convicted of anything. Yeah. Well,
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: but there's enough controversy there. Sure I made the Kanye
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: thing that made the perfect point you to a Kanye show.
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: This guy's that he's a Nazi, has pretty ounced shirts
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: with a Swaska on it. I said, juwe you know
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: all the stuff he said about Jews. Are you gonna
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: go to a Kanye show? Are you guilty by association?
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: Are you also anti Semitic because you buy a Kanye
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: ticket and he's not doing one show at a in
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: a stadium in Tampa he's doing Yeah?
- 1:44:09Speaker 4: Absolutely?
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: Are you complicit because you bought a Kanye ticket because
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: you like his art? I mean we've had this conversation
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: with Ross a billion times, right, the art artist's scenario, Yes,
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: separating the artists from the art. But do mean how
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: many people do that? And then we'll do it here
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: with Kanye? It's different because if that I mean he
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: is now publicly apologized, said he was having a bad day.
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: Whether I don't know whether it was I forget what
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: his excuse was. I think he took out an ad
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: in the paper. Might have been the New York Times
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: he did it was a Washington Washington Post, okay. But
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: the you know is what he was saying in that belief?
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: You know, is that permeated? Is that in his music?
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: And is that what people are going to see or
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: is his music and his performance separate from those uh
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: and and things he shared. That's exactly what the situation
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: when they would be like then, right, He doesn't talk
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: about it on stage at all. He doesn't mention any candidate,
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: doesn't talk about politics at all. I think more so
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: with than anyone, because he's so like not that. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: I mean you can't get more middle of the road.
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: I'm the I'm the dumb redneck that doesn't know anything
- 1:45:17Speaker 2: about anything in life. And it wasn't from my wife,
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: I wouldn't make it through life. That's his whole bit,
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: like k of a stumbling, bumbling guy through life, and
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: he tells stories of that. And maybe you should blame
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: his wife for him going to the UFC. Maybe so
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: all right? Four O seven nine one six four one
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: text us at seven seven zero three one let him up.
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: Trivia's Next. In the mid seventies, Ted Nudges made the
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: album Free for All.
- 1:45:42Speaker 20: He made it with legendary guitarist, a very good guitarist
- 1:45:46Speaker 20: named Dereck Saint Holmes, who's also a good singer. But
- 1:45:49Speaker 20: they had a falling out, so on five of the songs,
- 1:45:53Speaker 20: Dereck Saint Holmes did not sing and they brought in
- 1:45:55Speaker 20: someone unknown.
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: At the time.
- 1:45:57Speaker 20: That artist was Meatloaf. He sang on five of the
- 1:46:01Speaker 20: songs on that album and did not get credit. Look
- 1:46:04Speaker 20: up and listen to the song street Rats, it's meat Loaf.
- 1:46:09Speaker 18: Ory.
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jimp Cora Show. We're all Radio

- 1:48:15Speaker 7: Yes?
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: Here we go, buddy. It's National Kissing Day. That's right,
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: today is National Kissing Day. Here are three fun facts
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: about kissing and one lie covered in abreva. All right.
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: Number one, the average person spends about two weeks of
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: their lives kissing. Number two, your lips are about eighty
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: times more sensitive than your fingertips. Number three, ninety two
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: percent of women kiss with their eyes closed compared to
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: fifty percent of men. Or lastly, two thirds of people
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: tilt their heads to the right to kiss. Which of
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: those is a lie?
- 1:48:51Speaker 13: I gotta go Number one on that.
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: No, that's absolutely true. You spend about two weeks of
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: your life making out. That's it, are making out? Damn?
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: I used to make it a lot more when I
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: was younger.
- 1:49:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I think we all did.
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: We don't make that as much as we should. And
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: kissing is very important, it is.
- 1:49:09Speaker 4: They your kiss should be at least three seconds long.
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: I believe that's right.
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: Three seconds long to really get a little oxytocin boost.
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: You got it, man, I like that. But they, by
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: the way, they show that it is a massive oxytosin boos.
- 1:49:20Speaker 4: It's good for you, helps you live longer.
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: Two, three, four or five.
- 1:49:23Speaker 4: We're going to two.
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: Right down the line. Here we go, Mike, how you doing.
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: I'm doing well. Glad to hear that, buddy. We're talking
- 1:49:29Speaker 2: about kissing. Which one of these isn't true? Number one,
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: your lips are eighty times more sensitive than your fingertips.
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: Number two, ninety two percent of women kiss with their
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: eyes closed, compared to only fifty percent of men. Or lastly,
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: two thirds of people tilt their heads to the right
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: to kiss. I'm gonna go with number one. That's the one, buddy.
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: How many times do you think your lips are more
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: sensitive than your fingertips.
- 1:49:56Speaker 11: I'm gonna say less.
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: No, it's more. It's one hundred times more sensitive than
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: your fingertips. Sure a one hundred times more. You're a winner.
- 1:50:03Speaker 2: Am not coming to put you on old congratulation joining
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: your prize. Yeah. The weirdest thing here to DoD is this.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: Ninety two percent of women kiss with their eyes closed.
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: Only fifty percent of men kiss with their eyes closed.
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: Do you close your eyes? I closed my eyes.
- 1:50:17Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: Yeah. If they're open, there's something wrong with you. You're
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: a psycho killery you now. My wife one time pawed
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: me with my eyes open because I just wanted to
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: see how beautiful she was when I was making out
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: with her. Because she is I believe this is happening.
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: I couldn't, buddy, I still don't. Every day, every day
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: I see her, I cannot believe she walks into my
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: house willingly. Usually I have to be bound. Be it
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: somebody like that in my place?
- 1:50:38Speaker 4: Oh I thought that would be over at Jack's house.
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: That's just a Tuesday.
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: But yeah, man, kissing with your eyes open is weird.
- 1:50:46Speaker 2: That's weird. Is I open my eyes and your eyes
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: are open. I'm grabbing my car keys, that is water,
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: grabbing my car keys, my wallet and my phone. And
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: then two thirds of people do tilt their head to
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: the right to kiss. Yeah, yeah, you're are you right, Tilter,
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: I am, because you're left handed. I would think that
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: has something to do with it.
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: I know, I don't know.
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: I just automatically yeah, yeah, gotcha right. A couple other
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: things you may not know about kissing before we get
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: to the top of the hour, Sports coming up with
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: their buddy Brandon Kravitz. Lips are like snowflakes. No two
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: lip impressions are the same. Oh that's cool. So if
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: you're to grease up your lips with some lipstick and
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: then push it on paper, every one of those from
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: every every person in the world would have a little
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: new once would be a little different. That is fascinating.
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: It's been scientifically proving proven that deep kissing during sex
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: makes it more likely for a woman to orgasm. Says, yeah, it.
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: It increases it by a giant percentage. By the way,
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: if you're deep kissing while making love, you are more
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: likely as a woman to have an orgasm with that happening.
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: It says here except for if it's Gem, that's the
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: it's dot dot dot, And it says except for Gem.
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: And then I typed in and said what Jim, And
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: I said, you dumbass. And then lastly, here in Colorado's
- 1:52:03Speaker 2: Logan County, it's illegal to kiss a woman while she's sleeping. Really,
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: Jack never moved the Logan County. Jack, all right, seven
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: seven zero three one. That's how you text us. If
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: you don't send a talk back, that's easy. Grab the
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app, good real radio, and you can send that
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: right over and we'll get you on there. Take little break,
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: will come back into some sports with her buddy Brandon Kravitz.
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: That's next.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: It's time to get your game on. As the Jim
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: Colbert Show unwishes, the guy with the hottest takes sharpest
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: insights in zero chill. When it comes to sports, hears
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: Brendon Crevt, Cravat, cravit, cravit.
- 1:52:41Speaker 2: Good love for me, cave. My man's, my man's chack,
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: my man's what's up?
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: How many times can you call him your man's.
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: Until he gets his mic on?
- 1:52:54Speaker 11: I got it, Yeah, I was just I was gesturing
- 1:52:59Speaker 11: towards Jack that we made a little switcher room. Usually
- 1:53:01Speaker 11: I'm on the mic to my left. Now I'm on
- 1:53:04Speaker 11: the mike to my right. One cares while we're saying it. Anyway, but.
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: Body he's always good to see you. I have to
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: tell you you must be the biggest World Cup fan
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: there is right now, because I know for a fact
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: that the usually the summer is one of the most
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: difficult times to be a sports broadcaster because with the
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: exception of baseball, everything else is kind of dormant. And
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: you know, especially after the NBA Championships, after the NBA Finals,
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: which is done, you know, you have baseball and that's
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: pretty much it until football starts up again. And the
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: World Cup has really kind of allowed some great conversations
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: as it has.
- 1:53:39Speaker 11: I I stopped short of saying that like the World
- 1:53:42Speaker 11: Cup has saved the day for us. I think it
- 1:53:44Speaker 11: has helped more so with things like watch parties like
- 1:53:48Speaker 11: you did one of those. But I mean, I'm not
- 1:53:50Speaker 11: gonna go from talking no international soccer for a four
- 1:53:55Speaker 11: year stretch. It's acting like I know how to break
- 1:53:59Speaker 11: down the four of the Germany squad, what off side
- 1:54:02Speaker 11: is right?
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: Just just simply what is What I like.
- 1:54:05Speaker 11: About it is that it gives us something else in
- 1:54:07Speaker 11: the background, that that brings people together, that that sports
- 1:54:10Speaker 11: fans care about. But does it would I say that
- 1:54:13Speaker 11: the World Cup drives conversation for our show.
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: I would not say that, but I have to tell
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: you the man, one of the funny things is and
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: I would agree with that. Right. So when Deb came
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: in today, we are kind of talking and it's funny
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: because this World Cup more than the last one. I remember,
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: you know, back in the nineties when we had some
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: stuff here in town, and even the ones that weren't. Man,
- 1:54:31Speaker 2: when it's here, the fans stories are you know, the
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: people who are visiting the country, those stories are as
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: good as the soccer stories for me. I mean we've
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: talked about like all the like Deb came in, they said, hey,
- 1:54:42Speaker 2: did you see that?
- 1:54:43Speaker 5: Was it?
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: Norway? Yeah? Norway?
- 1:54:44Speaker 4: When they do their Norwegian row.
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh yeah, I love that. Or on an
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: escalator or Times Square or cool or when you see
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: the entire mecha the fans of Team Mexico and.
- 1:54:55Speaker 4: Making out with the Korean fans, that's good time on it.
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: It's better. Like the picture's crazy. You can't see any ground,
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: it's just people and all you see is about ten
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: feet above the crowd. Is this South Korean soccer fan
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: because the Mexican fans have like adopted him and they're
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: like literally throwing him up in the air, you know,
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: like the in this game.
- 1:55:11Speaker 11: It's been the coolest thing that has come out of
- 1:55:14Speaker 11: this World Cup is as we have more access through
- 1:55:18Speaker 11: social media than in any World Cup that has preceded
- 1:55:21Speaker 11: this one, are all of the wholesome stories.
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: It's so good right have come out. The people that
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: have come.
- 1:55:26Speaker 11: Over from France that are in America for the first time,
- 1:55:29Speaker 11: that are experiencing BUCkies.
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: There are shuttle buses taking people from other countries to
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: BUCkies because they were dying to go to BUCkies. In Texas,
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: they do. They have a shuttle bus system taking people
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: to that original BUCkies over there because people are losing
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: their mind. I love it.
- 1:55:45Speaker 11: And that's the beautiful thing about the World Cup. And
- 1:55:47Speaker 11: it's amazing because Soccer has a way of breeding this
- 1:55:53Speaker 11: sort of fan that is more raucous and more of
- 1:55:57Speaker 11: a hell raiser than anyone else. And yet for some reason,
- 1:56:01Speaker 11: the World Cup, all the stories that I'm saying, I'm
- 1:56:03Speaker 11: sure that those stories are out there somewhere, but everything
- 1:56:07Speaker 11: that is coming across my feet and anybody else that
- 1:56:09Speaker 11: I talk to, like you guys, it's.
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: It all seems so it's so good just what amazing
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: unity watching those English dudes eat brisket from Texas. Every
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: I could watch that on a loop. Those guys are looking,
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: their eyes are rolling back in their head.
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: This is the best way I've heard it described.
- 1:56:26Speaker 3: The World Cup is like America is holding the biggest
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: sleepover with the cousins we never get to see because
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: our parents hate each other.
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so great. That's great.
- 1:56:35Speaker 11: And to add to that point, I saw somebody with
- 1:56:39Speaker 11: one of the best lines that I've seen and said
- 1:56:41Speaker 11: that the World Cup is exposing the biggest fraud and
- 1:56:44Speaker 11: lie that we've been told is that we all hate
- 1:56:45Speaker 11: each other exactly.
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: That's not true. And well, one of the things we
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: read about when it first kind of got here is
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: and I told these guys, I don't know why, but
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: I love seeing other people experience our food for the
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: first time. And one of the one of the things
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: that came out of one of these polls is people
- 1:56:59Speaker 2: go around start asking people are like, yeah, Americans are
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: way nicer than we thought that they were going to
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: be because you're being fed this stuff overseas by your
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: news that you know, Americans are just this closed group
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: of people who only want us to like us and
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: it's nothing like that Barcats. Yeah yeah, let's get in
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: some sports. Isn't the draftmorrow night? Our NBA draft is
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: tomorrow night to spin at local. This will be really quick.
- 1:57:21Speaker 11: The Magic are not involved, uh se Desmond Bay, we
- 1:57:25Speaker 11: done spent that, we've done, spent that we've done, blown
- 1:57:28Speaker 11: the budget, so that's uh. They will not be involved.
- 1:57:31Speaker 11: They have picked forty six. The NBA, for whatever stupid reason,
- 1:57:35Speaker 11: over the last couple of years, has decided to split
- 1:57:38Speaker 11: the draft into multiple nights, like it's the NFL, It's
- 1:57:41Speaker 11: not the NBA draft, is uh. It's like you could
- 1:57:46Speaker 11: just watch the top ten and kind of be good
- 1:57:48Speaker 11: to go, and they've decided to end round one and
- 1:57:52Speaker 11: then air round two the next night. Who I'm obsessed
- 1:57:56Speaker 11: with this stuff and I won't even watch around two.
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: NBA. You're not tuning in to see the point guard
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: for Marshall wait to see in his living room if
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: he's gonna get drafted.
- 1:58:04Speaker 11: So, but this is thought to be one of the
- 1:58:07Speaker 11: best drafts that we've had in years. Some people are
- 1:58:10Speaker 11: comparing it to not because there's a Lebron James, but
- 1:58:14Speaker 11: the Lebron James Draft where wasn't just Lebron, it was
- 1:58:16Speaker 11: Chris brosh Right. Dwayne Wade was in that draft as well.
- 1:58:20Speaker 11: It was a loaded draft class. That's kind of what
- 1:58:22Speaker 11: we're getting here. If you have picked one through four,
- 1:58:25Speaker 11: you're feeling pretty good about your sling. Aj Debonsa is
- 1:58:29Speaker 11: thought to be the number one overall pick out of BYU.
- 1:58:31Speaker 11: He's kind of like a Tracy McGrady at his best,
- 1:58:36Speaker 11: sort of scoring, oversized guard, good handles, that's a flow, yeah,
- 1:58:41Speaker 11: very easy. Everything seems to come easy to him. Darren
- 1:58:44Speaker 11: Peterson is the other one. He's he could end up
- 1:58:47Speaker 11: going one, probably ends up going two to Utah. Extremely
- 1:58:51Speaker 11: explosive guard that's really good on defense as well, kind
- 1:58:54Speaker 11: of think Russell Westbrook but with a jump shot. That
- 1:58:57Speaker 11: would be his comparison. But he also a lot of
- 1:59:00Speaker 11: games in college where he would yank himself out at
- 1:59:02Speaker 11: halftime because of what he called cramping.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: Yeah, this story, yes, and so I don't know. I
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: love that, by the way, Oh absolutely, Scots they love it.
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: They love it.
- 1:59:12Speaker 11: When you quit the question about his one two factor
- 1:59:16Speaker 11: or his injuries. Either it's either one or the other
- 1:59:18Speaker 11: that he seems to have an issue with. But that's
- 1:59:20Speaker 11: not gonna stop an NBA team from taking him so
- 1:59:22Speaker 11: high because he's just simply that talented. To round out
- 1:59:26Speaker 11: the top four, you have Caleb Wilson out of UNC
- 1:59:28Speaker 11: that is is kind of like a two way think
- 1:59:31Speaker 11: like Bam out of Bio type that can defend at
- 1:59:34Speaker 11: a really high level but can also dunk. And then
- 1:59:38Speaker 11: Cam Boozer from Duke. So those are gonna be the
- 1:59:41Speaker 11: top four picks in some order, but you have there's
- 1:59:44Speaker 11: like a drop off after four that goes to the
- 1:59:46Speaker 11: next tier. The next drop off isn't until about pick nine.
- 1:59:50Speaker 11: That's how deep this draft class is. So there's gonna
- 1:59:52Speaker 11: be a lot of teams that end up with really
- 1:59:54Speaker 11: good players. Very cool, that's awesome. You're gonna watch all
- 1:59:56Speaker 11: of it. I'll watch all of the first round and
- 1:59:58Speaker 11: then I'll be interested to see what the Magic do
- 2:00:01Speaker 11: with their second round pick, just because I know I'm
- 2:00:03Speaker 11: going to talk about it. Yeah, they have picked forty six.
- 2:00:05Speaker 11: If you want to be a super duper optimist, I
- 2:00:10Speaker 11: will tell you that nicolejokicch was drafted during a Taco
- 2:00:15Speaker 11: bell commercial many years ago at pick forty one. So
- 2:00:18Speaker 11: it is possible, sure that you can get a superstar
- 2:00:22Speaker 11: elite talent in the second round. Jalen Brunson was also
- 2:00:25Speaker 11: a second round pick. Yeah, Draymond Green was a second
- 2:00:28Speaker 11: round pick. It can't happen.
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: What was a Taco Bell commercial about?
- 2:00:31Speaker 11: Was like the Gordida or I'm sure it was the
- 2:00:33Speaker 11: cheesy Gordida crunch. They often promote the cheesy Gordida crunch?
- 2:00:36Speaker 8: Was it?
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: The a is a supreme crunch rapp or crunch supreme
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: rapp or whatever that is.
- 2:00:40Speaker 11: Have you guys tried the grilled cheese burrito yet?
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: As a rule, I'm not a Taco Bell guy. Good,
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: but it's good. Yeah, that's a fine product. It don't
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: eat it in the car though, Oh it's everywhere. Had
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: my second whopper this weekend in a while. I hadn't
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: had a whopper for years that I had. I've had
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: two in the last five days. I went back this weekend. Yeah,
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: and what with cheeser without hey with cheese. This one
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: was not as good as the one I had the
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: other day, though this one felt a little short. We
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: ended so odd that Burger King still promotes a burger
- 2:01:10Speaker 2: that doesn't have cheese on it. I think that there
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: you have to ask their stubbornness to promote putting cheese
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: on a burger. I love it, which is such a
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: standard because I never get cheese on the wap hand
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: I don't either. It's like, hey, this is the way
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: that God intended it. And then lastly and lastly, here
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: at golf is actually kind of an interesting weekend. This
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: was US Open weekend, as is the norm for Father's
- 2:01:33Speaker 2: Day weekend. US Open always happens on that weekend, and
- 2:01:37Speaker 2: Wyndham Clark won the the championship. But that really wasn't
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: the story. You know, Scotty Scheffler was in the hunt
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: for the long time, and of course Scotty became a
- 2:01:48Speaker 2: he's a dad, it's Father's Day and it was also
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: his birthday.
- 2:01:51Speaker 11: It's funny how we only attribute I do this too,
- 2:01:54Speaker 11: by the way. It's like Scott, he's the only dad.
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but he's Father's Day, it's his birthday, his birthday.
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: And then of course this would have sealed up his
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: Grand Slam. He would be the second person in the
- 2:02:09Speaker 2: last year to have accomplished the Grand Slam and it's
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: been years since anybody did this. And then we'd have
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: two added in a short period of time. And the
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: weird thing was is, man, I've never seen anything like
- 2:02:21Speaker 2: I saw this weekending golf. This guy's an American, a
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: Ryder Cup hero kind of guy, and but he had
- 2:02:26Speaker 2: some behavioral issues at a couple events before that really
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: got a lot of publicity and he kind of came
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: off like a douchebag a little bit. Right. Yeah, man,
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: this crowd was actively rooting against this guy like it
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: was a Ryder Cup and he was playing for England.
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: They were like yelling for his ball to get into bunkers.
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: When he sunk the last putt to win, there was
- 2:02:46Speaker 2: hardly any applause. It was insane. Like, that's the story today,
- 2:02:51Speaker 2: not that this guy wants a wire to wire winner
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: in the US Open. Is that nobody there seemingly wanted
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: this dude to win at all.
- 2:02:57Speaker 11: Well you've got you've got a future in this gym,
- 2:02:59Speaker 11: because that was our biggest topic today was exactly that.
- 2:03:01Speaker 11: It wasn't the fact that he went wire to wire
- 2:03:03Speaker 11: and at this really impressive victory. Totally impressive, man, that
- 2:03:07Speaker 11: that round on Saturday was out of bounds.
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 2:03:09Speaker 11: I took a nap in the middle of his final
- 2:03:12Speaker 11: round because I was like, I don't need to watch this,
- 2:03:14Speaker 11: so I'm gonna get I did a little drinking by
- 2:03:16Speaker 11: the pool earlier day nap, but when I woke up
- 2:03:20Speaker 11: day drinking right, But I'm forty at this point. The
- 2:03:25Speaker 11: midday nap has to be somewhere in the and with
- 2:03:28Speaker 11: golf on in the background. And it was non competitive
- 2:03:31Speaker 11: because Wyndham Clark was running away. By the time I
- 2:03:33Speaker 11: woke up, the gap had shrunk considerably and Sam Burns
- 2:03:37Speaker 11: was hanging around in Scottie shuffler as well.
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: But you're right.
- 2:03:39Speaker 11: The big story was Wyndham Clark was downright hated by
- 2:03:43Speaker 11: the fans out at Chinnakawk Hills and some of the
- 2:03:48Speaker 11: fans actually got removed. Yes wow, five people away. They
- 2:03:52Speaker 11: were heckling him and golf they were heckling him pre shot. Now,
- 2:03:57Speaker 11: I'm not a big fan of golf heckling. I like,
- 2:04:00Speaker 11: there's golf is the quiet corner of the sports World's
- 2:04:04Speaker 11: just ooh ah and golf clap, enjoy your overpriced beverages
- 2:04:09Speaker 11: and move on with your life. There's two of the
- 2:04:11Speaker 11: things in golf you can You can do that at
- 2:04:12Speaker 11: the waste management. You can yell like crazy because it's
- 2:04:14Speaker 11: like a frat boy thing. And you can do it
- 2:04:15Speaker 11: at the Ryder Cup exactly. Those are the only two
- 2:04:17Speaker 11: events in golf where you really kind of make yourself known.
- 2:04:19Speaker 11: Everything else should be sacred. But look, if you want
- 2:04:21Speaker 11: to yell after somebody's shot, and you want to yell,
- 2:04:23Speaker 11: google would be that guy, have at it. I don't
- 2:04:26Speaker 11: think that you should be removed from the premises for that.
- 2:04:29Speaker 11: I just wouldn't do it myself. If you are shouting
- 2:04:31Speaker 11: at a golfer pre shot or mid shot, you should
- 2:04:35Speaker 11: absolutely be removed. That's what happened. And credit to Wyndham Clark.
- 2:04:39Speaker 11: While he might be a d bag, he was able
- 2:04:41Speaker 11: to overcome a lot of heckling, which is it's one
- 2:04:44Speaker 11: thing to overcome that in a setting like in the
- 2:04:47Speaker 11: NBA or the NFL or something like that.
- 2:04:50Speaker 2: Golf is not like a eighty five percent mental Yeah,
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: and he's playing with the most beloved dude in the
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: game right now. Scheffler is like one of those guys
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: that has it by the you know, by the sack.
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: Everybody loves this guy and they wanted him to win.
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: And I gotta tell you, Clark hits shots on Sunday
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: that that would have been like, if it would have
- 2:05:07Speaker 2: been any other player, they would have been losing their
- 2:05:10Speaker 2: blanking mind over it. I mean, I'm not kidding you.
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: I could take you some of those lies and you
- 2:05:14Speaker 2: wouldn't be able to advance the ball afoot. And this
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: guy was hitting it on, you know, on the green
- 2:05:18Speaker 2: from one hundred and thirty yards in a live where
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: you could barely see the golf ball. I mean, some
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: amazing play and he got no credit for whatsoever. I
- 2:05:24Speaker 2: gotta tell you he's he's very savvy. Did you hear
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: what he said after the round? He goes, it wasn't
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: because of me, It's just because they wanted Scotty to
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: win so much. Yeah, I'm like, that was brilliant.
- 2:05:32Speaker 11: He's trying to change his image as he should real
- 2:05:35Speaker 11: quick before you kick me out of here. If you
- 2:05:36Speaker 11: were watching Sports Night outside of the World Cup, Huge
- 2:05:40Speaker 11: one tonight Oklahoma, North Carolina College World Series for the
- 2:05:44Speaker 11: men's side. It they it's a best of three. Both
- 2:05:47Speaker 11: teams have already won one, so it's the championship to
- 2:05:49Speaker 11: be decided tonight and it starts in less than an hour.
- 2:05:52Speaker 2: It's gonna be really good. Always good to see you
- 2:05:54Speaker 2: by a good laugh of Brandon. What do you saying?
- 2:05:55Speaker 2: Is every single day from three and six? Right there?
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: Nine the game with his buddy Mike Benkey. You want
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: to take your wait what?
- 2:06:05Speaker 21: Oh?
- 2:06:05Speaker 2: No?
- 2:06:05Speaker 15: Never?
- 2:06:06Speaker 4: What's your karaoke for tomorrow?
- 2:06:08Speaker 2: I'm not going.
- 2:06:10Speaker 11: I'm sorry to take the wind out of the sails
- 2:06:12Speaker 11: at the end. That was a really good crescendo moment,
- 2:06:15Speaker 11: But I'm not singing tomorrow.
- 2:06:17Speaker 2: All right, Well, there he is, there he is. When
- 2:06:22Speaker 2: the boss said I expect you guys to put on
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: the best of and be there. You put on the
- 2:06:27Speaker 2: best of to show up. I'm just saying, but you listen,
- 2:06:29Speaker 2: you make your career choices. We're not doing that for you.
- 2:06:31Speaker 2: I would never do it in a million years for you.
- 2:06:33Speaker 2: By all means, don't read your email. Whatever you pleasure
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: working really nice, really enjoyed it. Right up next? Okay
- 2:06:45Speaker 2: you jackass? Or did they go miss jackass? Or combo?
- 2:06:57Speaker 2: Just wondering? All right, welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:07:01Speaker 2: We're all Radio one of four point one. Well, he's
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: just a two time in US Open Winter. I think
- 2:07:04Speaker 2: he's gonna be fine. I'm Jim there's deb Hello, Jack
- 2:07:07Speaker 2: is here as well. Yeah, and every Monday around this
- 2:07:09Speaker 2: time we invite this gentleman to stop by. You know
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: him from TK law one firm for life dot com
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: offices right there in Longwood and the Land. He's the man,
- 2:07:18Speaker 2: mister Ray Trenley. What's going on, big dog? How you
- 2:07:23Speaker 2: doing living the dream? How was your Father's day?
- 2:07:26Speaker 14: My Father's Day? Weekend was a very interesting weekend. I'll
- 2:07:29Speaker 14: just end it with I went to go see the
- 2:07:31Speaker 14: New Toy Story movie with my kids. That was the
- 2:07:35Speaker 14: final part of my weekend. Is very nice, sorry, very nice.
- 2:07:38Speaker 14: There was a lot of chaos in my weekend this weekend.
- 2:07:40Speaker 14: My poor wife, what everything all right? Long story short,
- 2:07:46Speaker 14: We had an emergency vet last all weekend.
- 2:07:49Speaker 2: With the dog that you bought in surprise her. No, no,
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: this is the dog I got the last time.
- 2:07:54Speaker 14: Surprised. He had my fourteen year old dog who spent
- 2:07:59Speaker 14: three days in the that's hospital.
- 2:08:02Speaker 2: Well they get that away these days, so you're fine.
- 2:08:04Speaker 14: Yeah, it's basically free free. I gave him a kidney
- 2:08:08Speaker 14: though as a down payment.
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: I think it's actually more expensive take your your dog
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: to the VET than your kid to the hospital.
- 2:08:15Speaker 14: One percent it is so crazy. Yeah, one hundred percent.
- 2:08:18Speaker 14: So anyway, it was an interesting weekend. Did you like
- 2:08:20Speaker 14: the Toy Story Movie?
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: The Toy Story Movie was. My kids liked it.
- 2:08:24Speaker 14: Yeah, here's what I'll say. You know, I think about
- 2:08:29Speaker 14: the original Toy Story movie and I think nothing. None
- 2:08:32Speaker 14: of the Toy Story movies beat the first one. But
- 2:08:34Speaker 14: I remember seeing that first Toy Story movie when I
- 2:08:37Speaker 14: was a kid, and so I don't think it compares.
- 2:08:40Speaker 14: But it was. It was pretty good. And I like
- 2:08:41Speaker 14: the message, which is, even if you're a little weird,
- 2:08:44Speaker 14: you can find somebody that likes you and just have
- 2:08:45Speaker 14: to be all tablets.
- 2:08:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the message. Yeah, find your freak, right,
- 2:08:49Speaker 2: find your freak. That's right, it's funny. We just had
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: Emily the movie Girl in a little bit earlier and
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: she said the same thing. It was kind of lackluster
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: for her, but did not live up to the legacy
- 2:08:57Speaker 2: of what the Toy Story movies have been previously.
- 2:09:00Speaker 14: Yeah, and again I had high hopes. But you know
- 2:09:03Speaker 14: what it is.
- 2:09:04Speaker 2: Well, then you know when you text me today about
- 2:09:06Speaker 2: what we were talking about, I was very excited because
- 2:09:08Speaker 2: although I did see this story, I did not dive
- 2:09:11Speaker 2: into it. Very much, because you know when anytime you
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: hear the word marijuana and the word law, it always
- 2:09:17Speaker 2: is so murky. You never know what really is actual
- 2:09:21Speaker 2: one day at this one day it's that. So as
- 2:09:24Speaker 2: I read the Supreme Court upheld a gentleman's case out
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: of Texas? Is that where it was?
- 2:09:29Speaker 14: Out of Texas?
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: Out of Texas and basically said, because he's a marijuana user,
- 2:09:33Speaker 2: you can't restrict him from owning a gun. And here
- 2:09:36Speaker 2: in Florida for the longest time, and I don't know
- 2:09:39Speaker 2: if this is even applicable anymore, you had to take
- 2:09:41Speaker 2: your pick. You could have a medical marijuana card, but
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: you couldn't have a concealed carry permit, correct right now,
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: I don't know that that keeps you from carrying it
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: because I think in Florida now we've kind of done
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: away with all that stuff, right. Yeah.
- 2:09:56Speaker 14: So that's that's where it's been so murky.
- 2:09:58Speaker 2: Yeah, let's talk about it.
- 2:09:59Speaker 14: That's where it's been so murky. So, I mean, one,
- 2:10:02Speaker 14: anytime you get an opportunity to talk about how much
- 2:10:04Speaker 14: the Founding followers were drinking, sounds like a good time,
- 2:10:07Speaker 14: right and uh And and to your point, I mean,
- 2:10:11Speaker 14: we talked about this stuff so often that you do
- 2:10:14Speaker 14: get lost in some of the minutia of it. But
- 2:10:16Speaker 14: you know, as it stands, you know, we have these
- 2:10:19Speaker 14: state laws that say you can and cannot have medical
- 2:10:22Speaker 14: marijuana or recreational marijuana, but none of that really impacts
- 2:10:26Speaker 14: the federal laws that say, if you are a user
- 2:10:30Speaker 14: or addicted to any type of controlled substance, you cannot
- 2:10:35Speaker 14: buy or carry a firearm.
- 2:10:37Speaker 2: And so how are they supposed to verify that?
- 2:10:40Speaker 14: That's a great question.
- 2:10:42Speaker 2: How are the supposed to verify that you're a working addict? Say? Okay,
- 2:10:45Speaker 2: well we can see you're an addict. I see the
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: marks on your face, or you have the tattoo of
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: an addict, or well it's just a habitual user is
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: a possessor?
- 2:10:52Speaker 14: Right is that? And that's what That's what the form says,
- 2:10:54Speaker 14: and that's what the statute says. So well, what is
- 2:10:58Speaker 14: that really? And so and so so we saw this
- 2:11:01Speaker 14: case Bruin come out. Second case that basically says that
- 2:11:06Speaker 14: the court is to view the laws in the context
- 2:11:10Speaker 14: of the founding Fathers historically, and you know whether or
- 2:11:14Speaker 14: not they intended these types of reasonable restrictions. On the
- 2:11:18Speaker 14: second Amendment. So they use that to talk about, you know,
- 2:11:20Speaker 14: restrictions on where you can keep firearms. And now they've
- 2:11:24Speaker 14: extended they did another one the domestic violence case, and
- 2:11:27Speaker 14: they just extended it to now whether or not you
- 2:11:30Speaker 14: can possess marijuana. So in this case, the individual was arrested.
- 2:11:36Speaker 14: While he was arrested, he had a glock on him,
- 2:11:38Speaker 14: he had I think he had meth or coke or
- 2:11:41Speaker 14: said something on him, and he had some weed on him.
- 2:11:44Speaker 14: And the way the Texas Statute.
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: Was written.
- 2:11:48Speaker 4: Problems.
- 2:11:48Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean maybe, but that's one of them was
- 2:11:51Speaker 14: really focused on in this case, which is, you know,
- 2:11:54Speaker 14: I think helpful for a lot of people who.
- 2:11:57Speaker 2: Uh because there's questions, Yeah, because there's not medical mess
- 2:12:00Speaker 2: are a medical heroine?
- 2:12:01Speaker 14: So yeah, I mean I've been arguing for it for years,
- 2:12:04Speaker 14: but nine seasons. But so anyway, so this guy gets
- 2:12:08Speaker 14: arrested and the way the Texas Statute has written it
- 2:12:11Speaker 14: says that if you have drugs on and you cannot
- 2:12:13Speaker 14: poss a firearm. They charged him with the statute. He
- 2:12:16Speaker 14: was found guilty, he appealed it. They came down and said, well, actually,
- 2:12:19Speaker 14: you know you don't have this constitution right, Sorry, goes
- 2:12:22Speaker 14: to the Supreme Court. Supreme Court unanimously, which is not
- 2:12:26Speaker 14: happening very often these days, unanimously agreed that this was
- 2:12:29Speaker 14: a violation of his Secondmendment of rights. They viewed this
- 2:12:33Speaker 14: case from a historical context that most of the founding
- 2:12:36Speaker 14: fathers were drunkards, and so they drank a lot of
- 2:12:40Speaker 14: whiskey or beer or whatever it was they were drinking.
- 2:12:45Speaker 14: And had any controlled substance been something that would disqualify
- 2:12:50Speaker 14: you from possessing a firearm, the Revolutionary War would never
- 2:12:53Speaker 14: have been fought. We would no longer have President Washington
- 2:12:57Speaker 14: as our first president in the or States, and so.
- 2:13:01Speaker 14: And they also talked about it from the context of, like,
- 2:13:03Speaker 14: as far as oral arguments go, you know, if you
- 2:13:06Speaker 14: are an ADHD medication, if you're on some other type
- 2:13:10Speaker 14: of controlled substance that doesn't necessarily make you a threat
- 2:13:12Speaker 14: or danger, does that also disqualify you because as any
- 2:13:15Speaker 14: controlled substance. Yeah, So they looked at it from that context,
- 2:13:20Speaker 14: and they said that this was an unconstitutional law infringing
- 2:13:25Speaker 14: on the Second Amendment. They also said numerous times in
- 2:13:28Speaker 14: lots of the concurrence opinions that this was a very
- 2:13:32Speaker 14: limited reading of the law and of this issue. So
- 2:13:38Speaker 14: to your point earlier on, we've gotten rid of all
- 2:13:40Speaker 14: these restrictions on people having marijuana and also being able
- 2:13:43Speaker 14: to purchase, in or possess a firearm. I think that
- 2:13:46Speaker 14: question is still open ended, but I do think that
- 2:13:49Speaker 14: the Supreme Court is at least directing the conversation towards
- 2:13:57Speaker 14: we do not intend that people solely lose their right
- 2:14:01Speaker 14: to the Second Amendment solely because they use or possessive
- 2:14:04Speaker 14: control subs.
- 2:14:05Speaker 2: Well, now they have an arguable precedent.
- 2:14:07Speaker 14: That's right.
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's the most important thing. So now you
- 2:14:09Speaker 2: know advocacy advocacy groups across the nation will now use
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: that as a thing to go and go. Wait, and
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: you would think about that in Florida. As crazy as
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: Florida's laws are, you can walk into a putt well,
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: I mean you at one point, you can walk into
- 2:14:21Speaker 2: a grocery store with your weapon on your side. That's
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: perfectly fine. But they didn't want you to have a
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: medical marijuana card and have a weapon, a clear violation
- 2:14:29Speaker 2: of your Second Amendment rights. They can't just make that
- 2:14:31Speaker 2: stuff up. It's in the constitution.
- 2:14:33Speaker 14: And where I think we will see some case law
- 2:14:36Speaker 14: that possibly you know, shrinks this a little bit is
- 2:14:39Speaker 14: going to be obviously if you're let's just use alcohol
- 2:14:43Speaker 14: as an example, cuts and that's not as uh, what's
- 2:14:46Speaker 14: more common to Yeah, So, like, if you're under the
- 2:14:48Speaker 14: influence of drugs or alcohol and you get violent and
- 2:14:52Speaker 14: you have a firearm, the state probably has the ability
- 2:14:55Speaker 14: to restrict your access to a firem at that time. Right.
- 2:14:58Speaker 14: You know that whatever you're on, is you to get
- 2:15:00Speaker 14: aggressive or violent, the state probably has the right to
- 2:15:02Speaker 14: restrict that.
- 2:15:03Speaker 2: I mean theoretically they can also make the penalties, and
- 2:15:06Speaker 2: I know they do in some cases. The penalties of
- 2:15:08Speaker 2: using a weapon while under the influence, you know, a
- 2:15:11Speaker 2: much greater penalty, Right, they could do that because we
- 2:15:14Speaker 2: know they've done it with the elderly, right, I mean,
- 2:15:16Speaker 2: if you beat up me, it's way different than beating
- 2:15:18Speaker 2: somebody up that's twenty years older than me.
- 2:15:20Speaker 14: Oh how you were on the other end case stop it.
- 2:15:24Speaker 2: I knew using me was bad right up, Like, let's
- 2:15:28Speaker 2: use you, let's use you. If they beat you up,
- 2:15:30Speaker 2: it's way different than beaning up a seventy five year old, right,
- 2:15:32Speaker 2: because I mean you can get what's it how much
- 2:15:34Speaker 2: more is it so the.
- 2:15:36Speaker 14: Penalties are increased, hands right, that's right for an elderly person.
- 2:15:40Speaker 2: So how long do you think it's going to be
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: somebody like Morgan or somebody like that, You know, an
- 2:15:44Speaker 2: advocate of this for a while, picks this up and
- 2:15:46Speaker 2: goes straight to the Supreme Court and goes, well, we
- 2:15:48Speaker 2: know this is unconstitutional. I mean, how does that work
- 2:15:51Speaker 2: from states to the federal cases.
- 2:15:53Speaker 14: It wouldn't surprise me if there's not cases already in
- 2:15:56Speaker 14: the pipeline on challenging these issues. The first one I
- 2:16:00Speaker 14: remember was out of Arizona almost that's actually probably about
- 2:16:05Speaker 14: ten years ago. Now now there's a case out of
- 2:16:07Speaker 14: Arizona on this question, and the Supreme Court decided that
- 2:16:10Speaker 14: they were not going to hear the issue at that time.
- 2:16:13Speaker 14: And so now that this case law has come out again,
- 2:16:17Speaker 14: I haven't thoroughly tracked all the case law on all
- 2:16:20Speaker 14: the different circuits and how they're ruling on these issues,
- 2:16:22Speaker 14: but I imagine it's gonna spin somebody up to say, oh,
- 2:16:26Speaker 14: I have an adverse ruling in my case that is
- 2:16:29Speaker 14: contradictory to the Supreme Court's ruling. Now we're going to
- 2:16:31Speaker 14: ask the court to take an associori and revisit this issue.
- 2:16:35Speaker 14: But you know, I think I wouldn't surprise that there's
- 2:16:38Speaker 14: some cases already in pipeline. So the next probably two or.
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: Three years wow really interesting.
- 2:16:42Speaker 14: And I don't think this is a huge surprise to anybody.
- 2:16:48Speaker 2: Maybe the Texas decision from the Supreme Court isn't a surprise.
- 2:16:51Speaker 14: I don't think the Supreme Court decision is surprised because
- 2:16:53Speaker 14: after Bruin came out and the Supreme Court basically said
- 2:16:56Speaker 14: we're gonna interpret all of our Second Amendment and all
- 2:16:58Speaker 14: of our gun law issues through this historical context. Everybody,
- 2:17:02Speaker 14: including myself, I think we talked about the brewin case,
- 2:17:05Speaker 14: you know, a couple years ago when it came out,
- 2:17:07Speaker 14: was concerned of like what kind of slippery slope is
- 2:17:09Speaker 14: this going to be? Because you know, sure we have
- 2:17:12Speaker 14: if you remember, we talked about like cannons, like you know,
- 2:17:16Speaker 14: you know in revolutionary war times people had cannons, and
- 2:17:19Speaker 14: does that mean I'm entitled to bazooka? And you know,
- 2:17:22Speaker 14: we talked about some of the funnier examples of how
- 2:17:24Speaker 14: this would be applied, but we all knew that this
- 2:17:27Speaker 14: was a dangerous sippery soap. So I don't think this
- 2:17:29Speaker 14: one stretches out the Second Amendment to drastic but you know,
- 2:17:34Speaker 14: I think this was kind of anticipated by a lot
- 2:17:36Speaker 14: of legal scholars.
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wild because I mean we just still have like,
- 2:17:40Speaker 2: was it ten states that don't allow it in any way,
- 2:17:42Speaker 2: shape or form marijuana, whether it be medical or recreational?
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: Is it that many?
- 2:17:46Speaker 14: It was twelve?
- 2:17:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:17:49Speaker 14: Yeah, I get That's something I keep track of every
- 2:17:51Speaker 14: single day.
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: There's just a lot of states in the South. Yeah,
- 2:17:54Speaker 2: your Mississippis or Alabama's or Arkansas's states like that. I
- 2:17:58Speaker 2: believe about South Carolina, I believe is like that. I mean,
- 2:18:00Speaker 2: I don't wonder if you can't count them, they can't
- 2:18:02Speaker 2: count either. Yeah. But it's just kinda wa So, I
- 2:18:06Speaker 2: mean this is not a lot of listeners there, huh now.
- 2:18:08Speaker 2: But this Supreme the Supreme Court cases. I mean, for
- 2:18:10Speaker 2: a lawyer, this is the stuff you really pay attention to, right,
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: because that's that's really what sets it in stone until
- 2:18:15Speaker 2: they're until an appeal comes around.
- 2:18:18Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, so one hundred ten percent, it's something
- 2:18:21Speaker 14: we all have to pay attention to. But I've got
- 2:18:23Speaker 14: two summer law clerks that are in law school right now,
- 2:18:26Speaker 14: and I was just going through you know, what my
- 2:18:28Speaker 14: experience was a constitutional law. I think I had one
- 2:18:31Speaker 14: case that overturned anything that I learned in constitutional law
- 2:18:36Speaker 14: during my three years of law school. One case. These
- 2:18:39Speaker 14: law students that are in my class, are not my class,
- 2:18:42Speaker 14: that are in class now, that are in my office
- 2:18:44Speaker 14: have had over a dozen in their two years.
- 2:18:47Speaker 10: Damn.
- 2:18:48Speaker 14: I mean, it's it's a major shift in the law,
- 2:18:51Speaker 14: and and and one that what happened before the law
- 2:18:55Speaker 14: students started law school. I was like, do you guys
- 2:18:57Speaker 14: know about this case? And like no, And I'm like, oh,
- 2:18:59Speaker 14: you guys got to talk about this one because it
- 2:19:01Speaker 14: was a huge change for administrative side of things.
- 2:19:04Speaker 2: But our country kind of goes through that, do we know.
- 2:19:06Speaker 2: I mean, we went through the civil rights issues. We
- 2:19:08Speaker 2: went through it with a suffrage you know, when you
- 2:19:10Speaker 2: start looking at the Constitution and how it's applied to
- 2:19:12Speaker 2: different people throughout our country and different cultures and diversities.
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: I mean, that's kind of what happens in our country.
- 2:19:17Speaker 2: Right about every forty or fifty years, there's a giant
- 2:19:19Speaker 2: correction where we look at things in the past and
- 2:19:21Speaker 2: we go, Okay, well that obviously wasn't interpret correctly and
- 2:19:24Speaker 2: we make that big move. But we go through this
- 2:19:26Speaker 2: as a nation, don't we. Yeah, we do.
- 2:19:28Speaker 14: I think the concern is how active some of the
- 2:19:33Speaker 14: judges have been on changing the law, or at least
- 2:19:37Speaker 14: that's how it's interpreted. Is changing the law. You know,
- 2:19:39Speaker 14: this idea of press it and is supposed to be
- 2:19:41Speaker 14: you know, once it's sett in stone, it's setting stone.
- 2:19:43Speaker 14: Almost we get some really good reason why it's not right.
- 2:19:46Speaker 14: And I'll use the Roe v. Wade because that's an
- 2:19:50Speaker 14: easy one for a lot of people to identify with right.
- 2:19:52Speaker 14: You know, when something like that changes and it changes
- 2:19:54Speaker 14: people's fundamental rights, I think it's hard pill for people
- 2:19:57Speaker 14: to swallow. It seems like there's a little bit of
- 2:20:00Speaker 14: political influence that it's happening there, and I think that's
- 2:20:02Speaker 14: where people get upset by these these changes in a law.
- 2:20:05Speaker 14: But you're not wrong, you know. We we do see
- 2:20:07Speaker 14: this pendulum that swings back and forth in the legal
- 2:20:10Speaker 14: system and in laws on how we want the government
- 2:20:15Speaker 14: to you know, restrict us and rule us.
- 2:20:17Speaker 2: As our culture changes, as we look at life differently
- 2:20:20Speaker 2: as a species, as we you know, move forward and
- 2:20:23Speaker 2: kind of look at the tap, like the uh, the
- 2:20:26Speaker 2: topography of our culture and you look at that, you
- 2:20:29Speaker 2: I think, you know that's kind of normal, right. You
- 2:20:32Speaker 2: have to kind of learn like norms have changed, you know,
- 2:20:34Speaker 2: it's it's the normal when norms change that you know,
- 2:20:37Speaker 2: you have to kind of what does our society want
- 2:20:39Speaker 2: now and how does that apply to how people live
- 2:20:42Speaker 2: two hundred years ago? And those are difficult arguments sometimes
- 2:20:45Speaker 2: because that stuff, like you said, set in Stone. The
- 2:20:48Speaker 2: civil rights movement was a major slab to the South
- 2:20:51Speaker 2: because they had become inductor I mean, they had become
- 2:20:53Speaker 2: indoctrinated with that idea that you know, these people are
- 2:20:56Speaker 2: for this and for no other thing, you know, and
- 2:20:59Speaker 2: the idea that they were view equal was a gigantic
- 2:21:02Speaker 2: change to that entire culture. And some would say it
- 2:21:04Speaker 2: hasn't kind of completely gone through yet. I mean there's
- 2:21:08Speaker 2: some people that would argue that with some science. Sure yeaheah,
- 2:21:11Speaker 2: you know, yeah yeah. And I would say the same thing,
- 2:21:13Speaker 2: you know, with women's rights back in the back in
- 2:21:15Speaker 2: the early nineteen hundreds, going into this win, I would
- 2:21:17Speaker 2: say the same thing. Sure, you know, we they just
- 2:21:19Speaker 2: weren't looked at as equals. So I think as our
- 2:21:22Speaker 2: culture changed things and the law will have to change
- 2:21:24Speaker 2: with it.
- 2:21:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:21:25Speaker 14: I just think you know, the way our three branches
- 2:21:29Speaker 14: of government are set up. You know, the executive branch
- 2:21:31Speaker 14: is supposed to enforce the laws. You know, that's our
- 2:21:34Speaker 14: law enforcement, our president and our governors, those type of people.
- 2:21:36Speaker 14: The legislature is supposed to make laws right, and the
- 2:21:38Speaker 14: judgest are supposed to interpret the law. Sure, and so
- 2:21:41Speaker 14: you know, my only point is, and I think overall
- 2:21:44Speaker 14: all the judges do a pretty good job. But I
- 2:21:47Speaker 14: think my point is a lot of people get frustrated
- 2:21:49Speaker 14: with it's seen one way for so long, and now
- 2:21:51Speaker 14: we have this monumental shift which might be seen as
- 2:21:54Speaker 14: going backwards.
- 2:21:54Speaker 2: Yeah. I would agree with that hundred percent.
- 2:21:56Speaker 14: But yeah, yeah, So you know, we got to inspire
- 2:21:58Speaker 14: confidence in the legal system, and the more consistent the
- 2:22:01Speaker 14: judiciary can be, I think, the more confidence people have
- 2:22:04Speaker 14: that we're doing the right thing.
- 2:22:05Speaker 2: Perfectly said. Yeah, that's Ray Tridaly, one firm for life
- 2:22:08Speaker 2: dot Com. That's TK Law offices in Longwood and in
- 2:22:11Speaker 2: DeLand and Inland. Stay right there, buddy, you've got some news. Yeah.
- 2:22:14Speaker 3: What A ransom note sent to the media claimed about
- 2:22:18Speaker 3: Nancy Guthrie Closer to Home, a report is released on
- 2:22:21Speaker 3: a deadly high rise building collapse and how the Grinch
- 2:22:24Speaker 3: stole Christmas again.
- 2:22:26Speaker 4: We'll talk about that next during You Heard It Your.
- 2:22:28Speaker 2: First, You got It sickcle break. We'll come back and

- 2:22:31Speaker 21: On a Monday is listening, I'll talk about the Nate
- 2:22:33Speaker 21: Bergazzy thing. My opinion of him hasn't really changed, but
- 2:22:37Speaker 21: my opinion was I didn't really like him to begin with,
- 2:22:40Speaker 21: then never really thought he was funny. Honestly, doesn't really
- 2:22:45Speaker 21: even surprise me. That he took a photo with RFK
- 2:22:48Speaker 21: Junior at the event kind of gave off that vibe.
- 2:22:50Speaker 4: Anyways, anyways, have a good show, guys, Bye, Thank you.
- 2:22:53Speaker 2: Buddy, appreciate it.
- 2:22:54Speaker 7: I think the way Nate Bargatsy looked at it, and
- 2:22:56Speaker 7: I would have looked at it too, because even I'm
- 2:22:58Speaker 7: not a Trump person, I would have looked at it
- 2:23:00Speaker 7: as how many times are you gonna get to see
- 2:23:02Speaker 7: a UFC fight at the White House? This might be
- 2:23:05Speaker 7: the only one, This might be the only chance you get,
- 2:23:08Speaker 7: so I would have done it. When else are you
- 2:23:11Speaker 7: gonna be able to do this. It's a once in
- 2:23:12Speaker 7: a lifetime thing.
- 2:23:14Speaker 12: What up, guys, sport from Duval Jim Colbert, What buddy,

- 2:23:32Speaker 12: to Jim Colbert.
- 2:23:33Speaker 2: Guess what I did? I hate the whole damn thing. Jim,
- 2:23:37Speaker 2: Oh damn you was deliziaus Man. Thank you, buddy. That's
- 2:23:42Speaker 2: like the third person and told me they did the

- 2:23:46Speaker 2: all right, seven seven zero three one. Welcome back. I'm Jim,
- 2:23:49Speaker 2: there's deb Hello, Jack is here? Yep, our buddy, Ray

- 2:24:19Speaker 11: Heard it here. First, on the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:24:22Speaker 3: A report says a ransom note sent to the media
- 2:24:25Speaker 3: claimed Nancy Guthrie died after her abduction on February first.
- 2:24:29Speaker 3: ABC News reports that one of the two notes sent
- 2:24:32Speaker 3: to a tuc Psung TV station said she had died
- 2:24:35Speaker 3: shortly after she was taken and was buried in nature.
- 2:24:39Speaker 3: Please determine deem both notes as potentially credible. ABC reports
- 2:24:43Speaker 3: that our daughter Today Today's Show hosts Savannah Guthrie, posted
- 2:24:47Speaker 3: a statement on in a February seventh Instagram post shortly
- 2:24:51Speaker 3: after receiving the second note. That post read quote, we

- 2:25:04Speaker 3: As the fifth anniversary of the deadly collapse of the
- 2:25:07Speaker 3: Champlain Towers South approaches, a summary of the cause has
- 2:25:11Speaker 3: been released. National Construction Safety Team co lead investigator Glenn
- 2:25:16Speaker 3: Bell says it was a combination of factors triggered by
- 2:25:19Speaker 3: support column failures.
- 2:25:21Speaker 22: We found no evidence of any specific initiating event. The
- 2:25:25Speaker 22: final factor that brought the critically low margins of safety
- 2:25:28Speaker 22: to the point of failure was most likely long term
- 2:25:32Speaker 22: degradation from corrosion.
- 2:25:34Speaker 3: So a total of ninety eight people died when the
- 2:25:36Speaker 3: building collapsed a little after one am on June twenty fourth,
- 2:25:39Speaker 3: twenty twenty one in Surfside. One teenage boy survived when
- 2:25:44Speaker 3: pulled from the rubble. Investigators say the structure, built in
- 2:25:47Speaker 3: nineteen eighty one near the coast of Miami Dade County,
- 2:25:50Speaker 3: had severe design and construction flaws that just simply eroded
- 2:25:54Speaker 3: over time. The report is a technical summary because the
- 2:25:57Speaker 3: investigation continues. Finally, Universal and Imagine Entertainment are developing a
- 2:26:03Speaker 3: sequel the two thousand's How the Grinch Stole Christmas?
- 2:26:07Speaker 2: Oh wow? Really? Yeah?
- 2:26:08Speaker 3: The film star Jim Carrey is in talks to return,
- 2:26:12Speaker 3: with Ron Howard slated to return as the film's director.
- 2:26:15Speaker 2: Dude, that's crazy.
