Speaker 1: More than just business. Hey everybody, it's Wally Bates. Welcome
• 0:07
Speaker 1: back to Rideshare Revival. I picked up Tyler in downtown Cincinnati.
• 0:14
Speaker 1: He was visiting from Provo, Utah on business. Now when someone,
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: they're telling me they're from Provo, there's a pretty good
• 0:23
Speaker 1: chance the Mormon church is going to come up in
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: a debt. Tyler's a Mormon. And I shared with him
• 0:29
Speaker 1: I have quite a bit of family in Utah who
• 0:32
Speaker 1: are Mormon as well. Some have lived their entire lives
• 0:36
Speaker 1: while others moved out there a little bit more recently.
• 0:39
Speaker 1: So we had plenty to talk about, but religion wasn't
• 0:41
Speaker 1: our only topic. Tyler runs a tree removal and stump
• 0:46
Speaker 1: grinding business, but he was in Cincinnati exploring an opportunity
• 0:51
Speaker 1: to purchase a laundromat. Now, I've always enjoyed talking business,
• 0:56
Speaker 1: so we had a great time discussing his work, his plans,
• 0:59
Speaker 1: and everything in between. Then naturally, the conversation turned to
• 1:03
Speaker 1: ride share revival. I told Tyler about how God had
• 1:07
Speaker 1: been using these rides to bring people into my life.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: We talked about some of the conversations I had with
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Muslim passengers, people from different religious backgrounds, and others who
• 1:18
Speaker 1: were simply needing someone to listen. And I explained how
• 1:22
Speaker 1: I often had the opportunity to pray with passengers. Somehow,
• 1:26
Speaker 1: along the way, Tyler pulled out his phone and started
• 1:28
Speaker 1: following me right there on Rideshare Revival, right in the car.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: I loved it. And before too long, he was giving
• 1:35
Speaker 1: me some suggestions for my page. It was awesome. Here
• 1:40
Speaker 1: we were, two guys, different sides of the country, different
• 1:44
Speaker 1: religious background, talking openly about faith, business, and life. There's
• 1:50
Speaker 1: no arguments, no debates, just genuine conversation. So we arrived
• 1:55
Speaker 1: at his destination. I had one more thing I wanted
• 1:58
Speaker 1: to do. I prayed for Tyler. And just like that,
• 2:01
Speaker 1: Ordinary Ride became another opportunity to connect with someone God
• 2:07
Speaker 1: placed in my path. Not every rideshare revival story involves
• 2:11
Speaker 1: someone facing a crisis, someone having a situation they can't control.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: This is simple talk. Just getting to know someone, listening, sharing,
• 2:25
Speaker 1: finding common ground, and remembering we don't have to agree
• 2:28
Speaker 1: on everything. We care about each other. Two guys, one ride,
• 2:33
Speaker 1: a whole lot of conversation, and a prayer before we
• 2:37
Speaker 1: parted ways. Ride share revival. There's hope at every turn.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: These are my prayers from the road. If you would
• 2:46
Speaker 1: like prayer, I'd love to pray for you. Send me
• 2:49
Speaker 1: over a line to ridesharerevival at gmail.com.
