- 0:00All right, here we go. Man. Are you ready? Oh,
- 0:01I'm ready. We play a game full of hypothetical situations really just test your
- 0:08mental fortitude, if that makes sense. It's called what Do You Do?
- 0:12Play along in your car and Amanda as always ladies first. All right,
- 0:17it's a cold, well below zero night. Your gas light goes off.
- 0:22Of course, you gotta stop for gas. You pull up, jump out,
- 0:25get gas. A man in a mask jumped into your vehicle. You
- 0:29get back in and all this sudden you hear freeze, put your hands up,
- 0:35put him on the wheel. Jesus, I know, pretty intense.
- 0:38I think his name was Scott Peterson, convicted killer. He's out, No,
- 0:45yeah, hypothetically yes. Anyway, so you take off because you're freaked
- 0:48out. The gas pump is still attached. He tells you you have two
- 0:53choices in order to get out of this alive. You either walk into the
- 0:59windbreak right now, naked and it's Ladies' night, or you have to go
- 1:03run one mile on the treadmill at Family Wellness during peak hours naked. Oh
- 1:11also naked. Yeah, so Pike, I know a lot of naked going
- 1:15on, and two really uncomfortable situations. Yeah, what do you do well?
- 1:25I could use the exercise. Yeah, give me the treadmill one.
- 1:29Really, I feel like it's more acceptable to be naked at a gym,
- 1:32even though it's not acceptable, it's closer to being acceptable a mile just flopping
- 1:38around? Look what think? Okay, I'm thinking about it. You're not
- 1:42gonna believe this, But I ran a mile yesterday, did you? Yeah?
- 1:45Yeah? It wasn't easy, but we did it, so it's possible.
- 1:48I know that. At least I'm not gonna like die. We you
- 1:51had support along with you. I was no. No, I did not
- 1:55give me the treadmill one. Okay, okay, I'm putting you down for
- 1:57it. I am put me down for the one naked good mile on a
- 2:00treadmill. Thank you? All right, Amanda, your turn. You at
- 2:02an antique store, the one off the interstated morehead. You see that sign?
- 2:07Yep, And I don't even know if there's an actual story or if
- 2:10it's just a billboard that's spend there my whole life. Okay, all right.
- 2:14You find an old, old lamp, you think, oh, this
- 2:15looks interesting, so naturally you start rubbing it when poof a genie pops out.
- 2:23What that's what. Yeah, by the way, why are those called
- 2:27lamps. That's not like when I think of a lamp, I think of
- 2:29a like a light bulb, A genie in a bottle. No wait,
- 2:34that's that's the Christina song. Well, nonetheless, I'm rubbing it the right
- 2:38way. Yeah, poof a geni appears. Okay, he says Amanda.
- 2:40Now I don't have any wishes. I'm not one of those wish genies.
- 2:44However, I do have this for you. I'll allow you to uninvent one
- 2:49invention from history. It's up to you. Whatever you choose. It's gone
- 2:53forever, doesn't exist. So a man get to do a little uninvented.
- 3:00Think about it. It's got to be an actual invention. What do you
- 3:05do social media? Would that be an invention? I suppose? Yeah.
- 3:09I'm just saying you couldn't, say, like water, not that you would,
- 3:14because yeah, we need that, okay, social media? Social media?
- 3:17That's yeah. Where are you going to get all your everything gratification from
- 3:23them? People? Normal human interaction? Yes, I would. Wouldn't that
- 3:27be wild? I respect that would be all? Right? Here we go,
- 3:30Pike, last one. I don't know if you're prepared for this.
- 3:32The packers they're playing the forty nine Ers tomorrow. Oh god, I've been
- 3:37waiting all week. You get invited to a birthday celebration that you cannot miss
- 3:40out on, and there is no way to get out. You show up,
- 3:44you walk in, and you just happen to look up and the sign
- 3:46on the door says, welcome to Becky's unplugged Birthday. Absolutely no phones,
- 3:59no TV is allowed. She just wants this to be about her. It
- 4:01is Becky's unplugged birthday. So, Pike, you can't get out of it.
- 4:10I can't, No, But then what this isn't fun? You got
- 4:15to get creative here? What do you do? Who the heck is Becky?
- 4:17How do I know Becky? But I'm walked in, like literally,
- 4:20there's no leaving the room, and I don't have a phone or anything.
- 4:24Correct, But the Packers and forty nine Ers are playing. Okay, so
- 4:28this is strikingly similar to what is actually happening. So a big Packer fan
- 4:31tomorrow night. Literally I haven't been able to sleep thinking about this game.
- 4:34Okay, Right, My wife's sister is turning thirty tomorrow, and so we're
- 4:39going to her birthday party that starts at the exact same time as the game
- 4:42starts. Nightmare stuff for me, because I want to I want to be
- 4:45there for the party. Oh gotcha. But this is an unpluged so this
- 4:48one's not unplugged, thankfully, so I'll be able to watch on a TV
- 4:50or my phone or whatever I gotta do. I'm not missing the game.
- 4:54In Becky's case, I can't jump out the window. Nothing. This is
- 4:57where you gotta get creative. Are you gonna? Would you jump out the
- 5:00window? I would have to, I guess record the game. Oh,
- 5:04and avoid any contact with anybody and go straight from Becky's party, Happy birthday,
- 5:10Becks, and go right to TV and then watch it and pretend like
- 5:13it didn't happen. If there was an open window, though, would you
- 5:15jump? Yeah? What? What floor were on? Fourty four stories and
- 5:23down? I took her for a seventh floor kind of girl? Jeez?
- 5:26Al Right, okay, okay, man, a final one. What do
- 5:27you do here? We go, you and your husband. It's Friday night,
- 5:30it's today for example today. Okay, you guys are thinking, you
- 5:31know what, let's get a babysitter and do something fun. Think about this?
- 5:34Actually? Okay? Interesting? Well, then you're like, you know,
- 5:36what we haven't done is gone to see a good comedy show in a
- 5:40while. So you start looking around and what do you know. There's a
- 5:43comedy show tonight at Proof Artisan Distillers in downtown Fargo, featuring some hilarious comedians,
- 5:47including my good friend Blaize Scoutsman. Okay, and you're like, well
- 5:50that sounds interesting. I haven't been to a comedy show. Tickets are still
- 5:54available, and so you're like, what the heck, let's go to that.
- 5:56So you get there, you're laughing, all right, you're giggling,
- 5:58comedians are on a Suddenly one of the comedians takes aim at your husband Nick.
- 6:02He starts roasting him, talking about how Iowa State isn't even a real
- 6:08football school, talking about his you know, insurance job, his golf swing,
- 6:14really just going in if he goes for the golf swing. That's a
- 6:15low blow. So you look at your Husbandnick. You look over and you're
- 6:18laughing because it's it's a comedy show. Yeah, there's a tear rolling down
- 6:23your husband's face. So, yeah, he's hurt. You don't want to
- 6:30show it. He wants to be a tough guy. What do you do?
- 6:35Are there tomatoes nearby the tomato throw tomatoes at the comedian. Let me
- 6:43think about it. There is a crate of tomatoes in the corner of the
- 6:46tomatoes. Yes, yeah, I'm gonna laugh and just tell him, you
- 6:50know, suck it up. Buttercup, fine, mass been Okay, what
- 6:54are you doing with the tomatoes? I was joking. I was gonna throw
- 6:56tomatoes at Blake the comedian. Blaze, Yeah, Blaze, very fune.
- 7:00By the way, he's not. I don't think he would go in on
- 7:01your husband. And well, now there's tomatoes, so you got what do
- 7:03you do with those? I'm gonna throw the tomatoes. I'm gonna throw the
- 7:06tomatoes on stage, but I'm gonna tell my husband, man up, get
- 7:11some thicker skin. You know what a maan that's I don't like to hear
- 7:14that. Man up, man up. Oh yeah, A man aren't supposed
- 7:16to have feeling. Now it's just your golfing. We all know it's poor.
- 7:20He trust me, he does too. Like a minute in the morning,
- 7:24big naety eight point seven. You remember when you were a kid and
- 7:27adults would mess up your name a lot. You know, if you have
- 7:29a sibling or a cousin, they would a lot of times just call you
- 7:31their name right, and you always get so mad. You're like, what
- 7:33the heck? You know? I do this already with my own kids.
- 7:36I mean I will catch myself. I'm like Lula Briggs, Sydney what like
- 7:40you just and Sidney will be I am not Briggs. How could you possibly
- 7:45mistake us? I know? And I used to make fun of my grandma
- 7:46all the time. They I have an aunt named Abby, and my dad
- 7:49calls me Abby all the time. As a sister, I'm like, what,
- 7:54I'm your daughter? Oh same? You know. I got two nephews.
- 7:57They might be listening right now, Liam and THEO. And between Liam
- 8:01and THEO, I always say theom and Leo or just mix. You know.
- 8:05It's very easy to do. But this mom sort of a unique situation.
- 8:09She wrote on Reddit that she has banned her sister in law from the
- 8:11house. Now she has twins, okay, identical twin girls. Amy and
- 8:16Nina are their names because of her sister in law's refusal, But the sister
- 8:20in law refuses to call them by their names. She only will refer to
- 8:24them as quote the twins. She's told the sister in law, hey,
- 8:28like we need to stress their individuality, you know, because twins a lot
- 8:31of times growing up, they're dressing the same, they're doing the exact same
- 8:33things. Like she wants them to have their own identity. So I guess
- 8:37I am this aunt. So I my brother and my sister in law have
- 8:41twins, Britany and Brielle. They might be listening right now. Oh hi
- 8:45girls, Hello, I don't know you apart, can't tell you apart.
- 8:48Like even my brother he will like, go, am I God, and
- 8:54he'll go, I guess you can, like look behind one of the kid's
- 8:56ear. Really, it's like, oh yeah, that's and of course when
- 8:58they get dressed in the morning, and maybe when you live with them,
- 9:01you know, I mean look at them and I have no idea. I'm
- 9:05like, hey, bees, I have no idea. Britdley, Briell,
- 9:07I'm like, you got a color code him or something right, Like I
- 9:09got to know that Brielle is the one wears green or something, see,
- 9:13and one of them was her choice. I think a lot when they were
- 9:16younger and one was in purple. Often even then, I'm like, honestly,
- 9:20even as parents when they have young twins, like do they micro chip
- 9:24them or how do you honestly know that at some point you haven't flopped them
- 9:28around? Right? What I know, I shan't imagine it had to have
- 9:31happened at some point. Imagine all right, this is ridiculous. Yeah,
- 9:35well, I mean the sister, the mom says anyway that like at one
- 9:37point the twins had made like some art and given them to the family,
- 9:41and so the sister said something along the lines of like, oh, one
- 9:45twin gave me this, the other twin did this. It's like, okay,
- 9:50you know there, you could at least make an effort. But she
- 9:52said she's banned her from the house and tell she's willing to refer to them
- 9:56as their actual name. So aggressive, so aggressive. We were just planning
- 10:01and something the other day. I'm like, hey, can the twins and
- 10:03j come? You know what I mean? Like, I'm not that's how
- 10:05I refer to them. I'm not when they get older, you'll know unless
- 10:09you're really close to those twins. Well I do have just but like we
- 10:13had twins in our class growing up, and we all knew, but you
- 10:16know, a lot of people would how do you tell the difference. It's
- 10:18like, oh, well, this one's hair is a little different or whatever.
- 10:20Yeah, And I think the older you get, you are right,
- 10:22you just become Going back to this mom's point, you create your own individual
- 10:26interests in different things and maybe different. One might be a girly girl,
- 10:30one might be a tomboy or that kind of thing you like, if you
- 10:33know, like if you have friends who are twins, I feel bad because
- 10:35a lot of times in your brain they're the same person, you know,
- 10:39Like, I still don't distinguish you as two different people. I feel bad,
- 10:41but really, yeah, trying to think if I had any friend,
- 10:45like really close friends that were twins. Nothing that I can think of really
- 10:48outside of just my nieces. And I am so sorry that I'm such a
- 10:50horrible aunt. Well you are, and that's really what the plane of this,
- 10:54well, this was to love you girls. I get a man in
- 10:56the morning stage. When you get up at the morning, I know it's
- 11:01different for us, and if you're up right now listening, likely maybe for
- 11:03you as well. Do you make the bed here's the deal? By making
- 11:07the bed amount it Yeah, you know, a lot of people hound you
- 11:09if you're one that doesn't make it right away. Yeah, if we had
- 11:11a different schedule one hundred percent. I would be making the bed because I
- 11:16walk in the door, I let the dog out, I go upstairs,
- 11:18put my comfies on, and make the bed Like that is my routine.
- 11:22That sounds about right. I'd be more one that you know, makes it
- 11:26right before I get in the bed. Thankfully, my wife makes it.
- 11:28However, not making the bed turns out is the move, according to an
- 11:33expert. Her name's Lydia Lloyd. She's it, just says expert. She's
- 11:35also a homewhere textiles designer. Oh okay, so she explained that if you're
- 11:41one of those people that doesn't make the bed as soon as you get out,
- 11:45it's actually more hygienic. Also can make the comfortableness of your bed last
- 11:48longer. Interesting and so I have heard in the past, is it and
- 11:52it's so gross? Is it something to do with either like the skin cells
- 11:58or like the sweat are supposed to let it air out? Yes? Correct,
- 12:01Okay, I've heard this, and I'm like, I don't want to
- 12:03believe it. She recommends letting your mattress and betting quote breathe in between uses
- 12:09all right, to reduce the chance of dust mites. And also other bacteria
- 12:13such as skin cells. To let the bed air, just pull back the
- 12:18covers and just let it sit there. That way, any moisture, and
- 12:20Lord knows, there's some moisture in the bed when I get out of it.
- 12:26No, but seriously, sleepers, yes, although I'll tell you what,
- 12:31this week has been just a dream in bed. Really, we're talking
- 12:35five six hours of sleep a night, Amanda. Do you know my bed
- 12:37pet Peeve? My husband, he has his morning and routine. And one
- 12:41of the things is is the kids want their snacks right when they get up,
- 12:43so they'll have something, yeah, like maybe they'll have some cereal or
- 12:46whatever it may be, Yeah, in our bed, so like I'll crawl
- 12:50in. Sometimes I'm like, oh, jeez, kids, did you would
- 12:54you guys have for breakfast this morning? Some cheerios? What's that cheerio in
- 12:58your back? It can't feel like a knife, you know, when you
- 13:01lay down, you're like, what is it? And it's not even like
- 13:03the whole thing. It's just those done tail munch the little crumbsler are the
- 13:05worst on your sheet. You think you got them all, but they're always
- 13:09there. It's impossible, like popcorn a bed after I've had a few drinks.
- 13:11Sometimes will mike a little bag of popcorn and yeah, it's for days.
- 13:16You can't see it, but it's in there. It's somewhere, you
- 13:18know. They also recommend flipping your mattress. That's something I'd not ever heard
- 13:22or even considered, but turns out you're supposed to be flipping your mattress regularly.
- 13:26Yes, I have heard that, depending on, of course, what
- 13:28kind of mattress you have. But yeah, them are only one way,
- 13:31absolutely, because sometimes I used to have a mattress that because I slept on
- 13:37the one side, like it was like the leaning Tower of Pisa. Yeah,
- 13:41yeah, you know you'd have because you'd have like the one spot.
- 13:43So if you flipped it over a balance, or you can at least rotate
- 13:46it right, give it the old what in that way because I feel like
- 13:48my side, although I would never do that to Lauren, because I know
- 13:52my side is you know, it's like stained and smelly and of those things.
- 13:56That is one thing My girlfriend and I were talking about this recently,
- 13:58and we both have kids, and a lot of the the stains are because
- 14:01our kids crawl into bed with us whatever they have accidents. But when you
- 14:05take off your bed sheets and we have a fairly new bed both of us
- 14:09because we have the two twins. On one it is disgusting, like why
- 14:15is that? Like there's yellow stuff everywhere, and I'm like, we are
- 14:18not gross humans. I know they've had accidents. I clean it up.
- 14:20It is disgusting. There's nothing gross about it. That's just natural yellow stains.
- 14:24Doesn't make you a gross human. He doesn't, but it doesn't it
- 14:28make you feel that way, Like I will go And we have also the
- 14:31mattress covers too. Yeah, and it's like going through that, which is
- 14:33mind blowing to me. But when I do the laundry, I wash our
- 14:37bedding at least once a week. Am I supposed to put these clean sheets
- 14:39on this disgusting mattress? That was funny. Sorry. I was actually talking
- 14:43to my friend beneath them, and she was recommending that you don't do that.
- 14:48Really, the girl we work with her no beneath a. You don't
- 14:52know her beneath A beneath the sheets. Okay, that's that's enough, guys.
- 15:01That is plenty. And Amanda in the Morning on Big seven and now
- 15:07Amanda Stills the sea looks see brought to buy wimmers diamonds. Oh Kanye,
- 15:13So we know that he has been all up on Instagram and he is.
- 15:20We do know that. We do know that because he I mean, he
- 15:22was mia for about eight months. Now he's resurfacing. He has a new
- 15:26album that's gonna be out February ninth, and he must not be filling the
- 15:30love because I guess I'm not over all the things you said. It's just
- 15:33it didn't just go away. I don't even remember exactly what he said.
- 15:37I know it was bad, but he's apparently sorry. He is apparently sorry.
- 15:41He sat down with I guess some camera guy in the camera guy's audition
- 15:46and saying that in Spielberg was it. I don't think it was a Spielberg
- 15:48film, probably more of a documentary, but it is a forty minute long
- 15:52plus video of him apologizing. The person who was behind the camera is reporting
- 15:58that he just goes on and on, starts rambling at some point. I
- 16:02guess in this video he set to release here in a few weeks. He
- 16:06is like incoherent. You can't even understand what he was saying. There's no
- 16:07way this man can speak for forty minutes and have it makes sense. Too
- 16:11long there's no apology, then in my opinion, you're going to be talking
- 16:15in circles and making people mad again. Yeah, there's no way that it's
- 16:19going to be one hundred percent like oh wow, genuine apology, thank you,
- 16:22Kanye. He's going to say something. He's going to say sorry.
- 16:25But like when you're a kid and he got in trouble and you'd be like,
- 16:27they say sorry, and you'd be like sorry, trout sniffer. Well,
- 16:32and it's very weird when it comes to Kanye West, how he was
- 16:36not just completely canceled, you know, for all of these things that he
- 16:38has said, and then well to find canceling. I mean, I don't
- 16:41know, he's not really been doing anything. So what are we supposed to
- 16:44do? Yeah? I guess you know. I would you like him to
- 16:45be in prison, Amanda that when you really said that, lock them up?
- 16:51And speaking of m I A. Richard Simmons, do you remember there
- 16:53was a search for him? Probably a few it must have been like three
- 16:56four years ago. People were like, for a guy that was only doing
- 16:59work out videos for like a five year period on TV, like why do
- 17:03we care? Even many people were so concerned that he was either like locked
- 17:06in a basement or why he hadn't been seen. Well, there is a
- 17:11new movie that's gonna be released and they have poly Shore play boyd Richard Simmons,
- 17:17which makes I must watch. Okay, cotal sense anyway, Richard Simmons
- 17:21not happy about it. For only the second time in ten years, he's
- 17:25breaking a silence. He took to Twitter yesterday he said, you may have
- 17:27heard them doing a movie about me with poll Shore. I've never given my
- 17:32permission for this movie. I no longer have a manager, I no longer
- 17:36have a publicist. He was saying. People were trying to reach out to
- 17:38him for media interviews. He's like, you can check it out. Email
- 17:41me Richard Simmons at gmail dot com. It's so good anyway, he says,
- 17:45I've just been trying to live a quiet and peaceful life and there's nothing
- 17:49he can do to stop the production of this movie at all. Well,
- 17:52who cares? Then, if you're living a quiet life, just ignore it,
- 17:55don't go see it. I mean, yeah, people are probably gonna
- 17:56the interest in Richard Simmons will be ignited again, reignited, you know.
- 18:00But also I'm going to be pretty bummed out. If that's about me,
- 18:03I'd want to be getting some sort of royalties about my life. Sounds like
- 18:07he just doesn't care, because otherwise, if he did care, he would
- 18:10be out doing, you know, a reboot of whatever workout series he was
- 18:14doing back every day. Maybe a Peloton can get him on. That would
- 18:17be so great if I just had like a Richard Simmons rewind. Yeah,
- 18:21I don't know. I think i'd prefer some of the girls you've been posting
- 18:22on your your story. I've been seeing your Peloton video. Yeah. My
- 18:26husband's a big Kendall fan himself. He is. Yes, where do I
- 18:30get a bike? That's why I get him on the bike. Oh gosh,
- 18:37all right. Two men in New York are suing Madonna because she started
- 18:41her concert late. They accuse her of false advertising and neglect misrepresentation for advertising
- 18:48this December thirteenth show. The start time eight thirty, Madonna didn't take the
- 18:52stage till ten thirty pm. The show didn't end until after one am,
- 18:56and they say that there was limited public transportation and ride hearing. Afterwards,
- 19:00any sort of transportation was increased. They also had to get up early to
- 19:04go to work and take care of their family responsibilities the next day. That's
- 19:08part of it. If you're gonna be going to concerts, you got it,
- 19:11and you didn't take the next day off, which is an amateur move,
- 19:15then grind me. We've been there a time or ten impike. It's
- 19:18like we wave in the dome and we're going We're waking up in five minutes.
- 19:22Yeah, I went to I literally went to a blank Win eighty two
- 19:23show during the week in Minneapolis and came back literally slept here for maybe an
- 19:29hour, and then just got up and you and these are the things we
- 19:32do to put on this stupid radio. No, the lawsuit seeks unspecified damages,
- 19:37so I don't know what they're going for here. I mean, yeah,
- 19:38I can understand being upset she was a couple hours late, But you
- 19:41really think it's worth suing Madonna? I know, in the resources and the
- 19:45money got to spend on a stupid show should be earlier. I mean admitted
- 19:49least somebody going on at ten thirty is insane. I've said this for years.
- 19:52We need to start doing matt Nae shows. Well, Jamie Lee Curtis
- 19:56said it, and then you kind of adopted it as your own thought time.
- 20:00I'm just really putting it out here on a local level show. Yeah,
- 20:03it is the wait, hey, you called me out yesterday for making
- 20:07a joke that's been done before it. So I'm the mouth piece of jit.
- 20:11You're the She's got her hand of you like a puppet. That's what
- 20:14we should do. Matt Nae shows. Wow, good idea man. Like
- 20:19in a minute in the morning on Big Nuddy, I would like to circle
- 20:23back a little bit. And I don't like to use that phrase. I'm
- 20:26not a circle back guy. Oh this is worth a circle back. It's
- 20:29worth circling back because earlier this week Amanda had this revelation that she's been doing
- 20:33laundry incorrectly your whole life. It wouldn't be a big deal, it'd be
- 20:37an innocent mistake. However, you're like touting yourself as the Miss Susie homemaker
- 20:41telling us we're doing it wrong. But really tell us what you were doing
- 20:42with the pods. Yeah. The whole reason this got brought up, in
- 20:45case you missed it, on Wednesday, we were talking about little things that
- 20:48people do that drive you crazy, and one of them was my husband.
- 20:51He had done laundry for the first time really all year, and I used
- 20:53to make fun of him because he was putting the laundry pod in the wrong
- 20:56spot. And I had mentioned how when I in the front of the like
- 21:00the little door thing that you put all the laundry detergent and stuff in in
- 21:04our front load washer, that you're supposed to put it where the detergent thing
- 21:08is. So there's two little slots or whatnother three. Actually, it's a
- 21:12very odd situation. You're not talking about just the whole main I'm not talking
- 21:17about the cylinder where you put the clothes. Yeah, and you looked at
- 21:19me and went, what, Yeah, of course that's where you put the
- 21:22laundry pod. At least that's what I thought. And then Amanda made everyone
- 21:26question everything. But turns out you're wildly incorrect. I guess. So,
- 21:30even though mine's still dissolved through, we just don't know where it went.
- 21:33Yeah, and I mean my clothes, I guess are I thought they were
- 21:37feeling clean? Well, I told you you definitely do have a musty odor
- 21:40about it. Oh stop it, it could be that anyway. So yesterday
- 21:44that was my first load of laundry. I just I threw that pod just
- 21:48in the wash and I felt crazy. It felt crazy. I put it
- 21:52in the dryer. It looks the exact same. I mean, it melted,
- 21:56it did its thing. I just don't even have words. And I
- 21:57used two pods because that was another whole conversation. People are like, you
- 22:00know you're supposed to use, depending on your load, one, two or
- 22:03three little pods. Yeah. Yeah, And I've never used more than one.
- 22:07So that's very useful information. And I understand your hesitation because when you
- 22:11throw it in there, you're like, how do you how does it get
- 22:15evenly distributed? And I feel like it's going to get tangled in a towel
- 22:18and then the towel is going to get super washed, and then you know,
- 22:21the undies or something are just going to be flailing around without any soap.
- 22:26Then this started a whole entire other situation, Pike. Now people are
- 22:30telling me that when you go to the dishwasher, that pod that you clearly
- 22:34put in the container, like the little day and flower, there's a spot
- 22:40just for it. Yep. Now people are telling me that there is a
- 22:42whole thing on TikTok. There are people who have had their dishwashers break and
- 22:45had repair men say no, don't do that because by the time it goes
- 22:49through the certain cycle, that's when it releases that it's not properly washing your
- 22:53dishes. So you're supposed to also with that pod throw it into your dishwasher
- 22:59in the bottom and that's it. Just let it buck what. So I
- 23:03did that and they turned out great, but I'm still anxious about it because
- 23:07I feel like now it's just whipping around in there, and it's actually gonna
- 23:11clog my whip whipping around the dishwasher. There's no whipping around being done.
- 23:15It's just like, yeah, there's a whip on the bottom and the top
- 23:18isn't if you throw the pod, and isn't it just gonna be like chilling
- 23:21like a soapy bottom. But it'll go through the cycles. I'm telling you
- 23:26this is this has been stressing me out for days, and I just I
- 23:30don't know what to do other than I think I'm gonna have to go pod
- 23:34free. I think that's solution. You think my solution is I'm gonna have
- 23:37to go back to the old school detergent on every level, take the pods
- 23:41their garbage. I can't do it. You know, you're right, maybe
- 23:44we did as a society or as a civilization get a little hasty with the
- 23:48pods. You know, it was working what we were doing before. So
- 23:51there's all these like things in there, like what is that gel? You're
- 23:53just trying I feel like you're just trying to tell me, like, oh,
- 23:56that's extra strength solution to fool you make it look fancy. Charge me
- 24:02like eighteen more dollars for the pods. This is it. I only have
- 24:06ten pods left and I'm going pod free. We'll keep you all updated as
- 24:10I'm Henda goes down your journey of being pod free my New Year's resolution.
- 24:14I've been waiting to find money in a minute in the morning on Big nuety
- 24:19eight point seven. You ever go to Vegas. You've been to Vegas?
- 24:26You know when you land at the airport, the Vegas Airport, Harry Reid
- 24:29International, the second you get off the plane, they don't waste any time
- 24:32tempting you with a little gambling. Yeah, I mean that's kind of the
- 24:34whole vibe. You know, you walk in and you're like you can just
- 24:37your sh right. Yes, when you leave Vegas for a week, you
- 24:41can still hear slot machines in your hell, yeah, it's bizz Yeah,
- 24:45it's funny. When you get off the plane, you're like, ooh,
- 24:45slot machines. How exciting. But then oftentimes, when you're waiting to leave,
- 24:49the last thing you want to do or look at is a slot machine.
- 24:52However, I've always thought, when you walk into Vegas and they got
- 24:56the slot machines in the airport, there's no way people are actually winning on
- 25:00slot machines, right. I just felt like it was rigged. It's just
- 25:02a gimmicky little thing. But turns out, Amanda, yeah, you can
- 25:04win, because we just had a big winner if somebody won one million dollars
- 25:10on an airport slot machine in Las Vegas, so they threw somebody a bone.
- 25:14Finally, because I am with you, I feel like we would hear
- 25:17these stories way more often. And this might be the first time we've ever
- 25:21heard of somebody winning at the airport slot machine. First time I've heard of
- 25:25it, And now you know it's possible, so hey, give it a
- 25:26try next time you're in Vegas. But like I said, usually, obviously,
- 25:30if you get there, you're not gonna stop. You're so excited to
- 25:32get to the hotel, get to the strip. You're not gonna stop and
- 25:34start gambling in the airport unless you're really like gambling. And I've been on
- 25:37both ends of the Vegas experience, winning a little money and then also losing
- 25:41every single penny you've ever had. I remember one of the first times going
- 25:45to Vegas and lost everything, right, just train the bank account, no
- 25:48extra money to be doing, It's just it. There was no sock money
- 25:52hidden anywhere, yep. And so I get to the airport. I was
- 25:53able to somehow, you know, find my way there, really like you're
- 25:57that broke for real. And I unfortunately flown out of Minneapolis. I don't
- 26:02know they didn't have the Allegiant flight available or what. So I'm driving back
- 26:04from Minneapolis, no money, so not eating, not drinking anything, and
- 26:08I ran out of gas in fergus Falls. No ran out of game.
- 26:11I'm like, well, that's it, that's as far as I go.
- 26:14I guess I just live in Fergus Falls now. So absolutely desperate. I
- 26:18had to call my mom, who you know, for her part, not
- 26:21a lot of money, and then he socked drawers either, but she didn't
- 26:23have enough for me to go to a gas station. I had to read
- 26:26them her card number, oh over the phone, my gosh. Yeah.
- 26:30So we've come a long way since the Fergus Falls days. See, And
- 26:33I've never really gambled. Maybe a little bit, a couple of slots.
- 26:37Oh you're missing out. You win almost every time, and that's about it.
- 26:40I've never sat, I don't think at an actual blackjack table. I've
- 26:42never done any of that. Tried to learn how to play craps, but
- 26:45I'm like, man, I'm good. You know, I'm good. Yeah,
- 26:48really wasn't my thing. What is your husband? Gamble? Gamble,
- 26:52gamble, not gamble at all. But he had a wild story when he
- 26:56went to Vegas once. He was with a bunch of guys for a work
- 26:59trip and they were all flying out early, like actual business, actual business.
- 27:04It's funny how these business trips just happened to always be in Las Vegas.
- 27:08He has one in Arizona this weekend, and it's so weird. It's
- 27:11like, and you're bringing your golf clubs. I don't understand. I'm so
- 27:15confused how that would work. That is where most business gets done. Amanda's
- 27:18golf, right, that's right. But anyway, he will tell this story
- 27:22time and time again, as he was getting ready to go with these guys
- 27:26that were supposed to get on a flight, and the guy had a heater.
- 27:27He was on a heater, just winning, winning, winning, I
- 27:30mean people were coming around. He won an obscene amount of money he gave
- 27:36Nick because he didn't want anybody to leave. Aside because he just like had
- 27:38this mojoke going. He said, I'm gonna change your guys tickets, just
- 27:41hang with me here and give him ten grands like it was insane. Yes,
- 27:47yes, how much did he possibly win? He I had no idea,
- 27:51left and right. Nick will always tell the story is how bizarre It
- 27:55was just this guy did not care, just living it up, buying people
- 27:57with stuff. So I think they said like another day or later on that
- 28:00day. Don't quote me on it, but yeah, insane. Do you
- 28:03guys have that? You have a guy's contact information? No kidding to say
- 28:07hello? Can I also get that ten grand again? Trending? Now here's
- 28:12what you need to know. Well, Pike, I'm excited to hear your
- 28:15thoughts on this, because, I mean, you've been reliving your glory days
- 28:18all week. So you were playing high school sports and now north to go
- 28:21to high school basketball game was held just the other day. So it was
- 28:25a C squad game in North Sergeant against Lisbon and they held it during school
- 28:29hours. Oh yeah, so a bunch of our kids at the elementary were
- 28:33able to come to the game. The athletic athletic director went on to say,
- 28:36it's about having them experience for maybe their first time, and for all
- 28:40the high school kids that never get to go to games together. You know,
- 28:41the boys are usually cheering on the girls. Girls are cheering on the
- 28:45boys, and to be able to nobody's cheering on the wrestlers. Yeah,
- 28:47I remember. Oh come on now, I mean just we went to all
- 28:49your games. You couldn't come to one duel, not one. You know.
- 28:53I think for the kids it is great because my nephew Liam, he's
- 28:56five, but he's in wrestling now and they brought all the young kids and
- 28:59they got to go to one of the high school matches. Yes, he
- 29:02didn't make it, but it's still I love that they're doing that so they
- 29:04can see it and encourage them to wrestle and play basketball. Well, and
- 29:08that's what they're saying. The lack of student participation in athletes. The trend
- 29:12is sweeping North to Koma. They're saying, like there's already two thousand in
- 29:15the last couple of years athletes that have dipped out, and they said,
- 29:19this is great because now the young youngsters are going to be able to see
- 29:22them, like you had mentioned. But also they pulled out all the stops,
- 29:26so they did the starting lineup, which is just great energy, the
- 29:30national anthem, just all the things that some people don't gush to take part.
- 29:33Fun for the s squad kids to get to be able to part of
- 29:34that, and also for them, you know, getting to leave school early
- 29:38is always a benefit of being in sports. I do this over like some
- 29:41sort of assembly. You know, there were so many different things up you
- 29:44all had. Although some teachers like when you got to leave school early because
- 29:47you were in a sport. There were certain teachers that you can just just
- 29:52resented you for doing that. We're into the athletics and Kirk Cousins, he
- 29:59bought shopping carts full of legos to keep him entertained during his Achilles recovery,
- 30:04and this had me rolling because mainly I just have liked him ever since Quarterbacks
- 30:08on Netflix, and I'm just envisioning him in that little hall of fame room
- 30:12that he had built in his home, just like a Lego land. Now
- 30:17yeah, I'm sure, sure there's some other space in the house, I
- 30:19know, but but yeah, you gotta love Legos, even as an adult.
- 30:22He totally strikes me as an adult Lego mander. I catch myself.
- 30:26We're a magnetile family. Yeah, I'm like, okay, kids, I'll
- 30:30help you pick up, and then they're off doing stuff and I'm just creating
- 30:33these towers, thinking I'm super moms. It's so fun. You know,
- 30:37I really should have got into architecture. That's what a man is. This
- 30:41radio thing doesn't work out, no kidding. And if you stock your pantry
- 30:45with Quaker brands such as like they almost stock your panties, No, he
- 30:48said, no, I said to your pantry. Yeah, yeah, your
- 30:51pantry different brands of cereal caranola bars from Quaker. They have issued two recalls.
- 30:57There was one back in December and now there's another one here this week
- 31:00due to potential salmonilla contamination in dozens of its products. And we're talking all
- 31:04the favorites. Moms. When you're going through the kids are grabbing the chewy
- 31:07granola bars, not even just the ones that were dipped in chocolate, the
- 31:10regular ones. The list is long, so check it out on Quaker brand
- 31:14cereal. You know, I always just had this premonition that it would be
- 31:17my instant oatmeal in the morning that would kill me. That's gonna be it.
- 31:21My nightmare is becoming a reality, all right. Some scattered flurries this
- 31:23morning. Road's a little slippery, take a little extra time driving into school
- 31:26and work. Otherwise, cloudy high or high as eight, but it's like
- 31:30eighteen below at the windchill I saw Next week, the lows are like eighteen
- 31:34degrees, which just sounds nice. Yeah, we just want to get through
- 31:37this weekend.
