- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's episode is brought to you by Liquid Death.
- 0:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 0:06Speaker 1: All rise. That's what they say sometimes. You know, if
- 0:10Speaker 1: I was working at a courthouse, I would probably say
- 0:16Speaker 1: that a lot.
- 0:18Speaker 2: All rise.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Somebody says it. I don't know who. Or if I
- 0:23Speaker 1: worked at a bakery and I was like in there
- 0:26Speaker 1: by myself all night. Maybe I'd dress up in like
- 0:30Speaker 1: a judge's... The judge, that's who says it. So if
- 0:34Speaker 1: I worked at a bakery, maybe I would dress up
- 0:36Speaker 1: in like a judge's outfit. Because I know a girl
- 0:39Speaker 1: named Gwendolyn. She works at a bakery and... She's in
- 0:46Speaker 1: there by herself. If you want to kill somebody, dude,
- 0:50Speaker 1: which you shouldn't, obviously, but if you wanted to, a
- 0:53Speaker 1: baker is... They get there at like 2.30 or 3...
- 0:59Speaker 1: They in there baking, wearing aprons, sexy, you know. But anyway,
- 1:07Speaker 1: I don't condone any of that kind of behavior. But
- 1:09Speaker 1: what I'm saying is if you were a baker, you
- 1:13Speaker 1: could put on a judge's outfit and get right up
- 1:16Speaker 1: by the oven by the glass and be like, all rise.
- 1:23Speaker 1: That's what I would do. I mean, I'd be so
- 1:25Speaker 1: damn bored. You're in there all night. Just looking at bread, bruh.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Just breading around. Doing that French bread where they braid
- 1:35Speaker 1: the bread. Whatever that is. Dude, we had a handicapped
- 1:39Speaker 1: brother boss growing up, this dude. I don't remember what
- 1:43Speaker 1: his name was. I don't even know. He might not
- 1:44Speaker 1: have had a name. And they would... And his legs,
- 1:53Speaker 1: he didn't have any bones on his legs or whatever.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And they would braid his legs around each other. You know,
- 1:58Speaker 1: he was paraplegic. And his legs were cornrowed. And they
- 2:03Speaker 1: still had some dope-ass sneakers on the end of them. So, diversity, babe.
- 2:10Speaker 1: You feel me? Diversity. Let's get into it.
- 2:17Speaker 2: All rise. I'm just sitting on your.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Front porch Wondering how could I be so far from my.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Home Come on.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Welcome back.
- 2:32Speaker 3: And my mind is somewhere else But when I find
- 2:36Speaker 3: it I'll patch up where it's been blown Now I'm
- 2:44Speaker 3: just floating on the breeze And I feel I'm falling
- 2:48Speaker 3: like these leaves I must be on a stone Oh,
- 2:55Speaker 3: but when I reach that ground I'll share this peace
- 2:58Speaker 3: of mind I found.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I can feel it in my bones In my bones,
- 3:04Speaker 1: baby But.
- 3:05Speaker 3: It's gonna take a little time for me to set
- 3:11Speaker 3: that parking brake and let myself unwind.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Shine that light on me I'll sit and tell you
- 3:24Speaker 2: my story.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Shine on me.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And I will find a song.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I will sing it just for you.
- 3:42Speaker 2: All right.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I'm upstairs. If you need me, baby, I'm upstairs. Man,
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's one thing that's real magical about just the greatest
- 4:01Speaker 1: excuse ever on earth. Your wife needs you. Somebody needs you.
- 4:05Speaker 1: A kid. Your wife's kid. Your kid also. And you're like,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I'm upstairs. Okay.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Dad, I'm upstairs.
- 4:21Speaker 1: The ultimate get out of jail free card if they
- 4:25Speaker 1: ever even put me on trial speaking of judges and
- 4:28Speaker 1: rising and all of that if they ever put me
- 4:31Speaker 1: on trial they'd be like did you do it I'd
- 4:34Speaker 1: be like I was upstairs guys okay have you ever
- 4:40Speaker 1: been upstairs okay I was upstairs I'm upstairs They're like, sir,
- 4:46Speaker 1: were you at the scene of the crime? We found
- 4:47Speaker 1: your footprints. You found what? I was upstairs. You should
- 4:53Speaker 1: have it upstairs on your house even in case you
- 4:57Speaker 1: ever and somebody dies at your house. Okay? And it's
- 5:01Speaker 1: probably going to be either your wife or husband if
- 5:05Speaker 1: you have a gay husband. And because there's not a lot,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you know, that's really, if somebody kills somebody, and I'm
- 5:14Speaker 1: not saying to do any of this. But if somebody
- 5:17Speaker 1: kills somebody, that's who they kill. They kill the, you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: the person that they used to do sex with, usually.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And anyway, but you got to have the upstairs. Because otherwise,
- 5:33Speaker 1: there's no, you know, where I was downstairs, then, bro,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you qualify. You really, you right there, you localated around
- 5:43Speaker 1: the crime, baby. You know that. What's going on? Not much,
- 5:51Speaker 1: per the usual, you know. I was in La Jolla
- 5:57Speaker 1: this weekend, which means, I don't even know what it means.
- 6:01Speaker 1: La Jolla? La Jolla? The Hoyas? The Hoyas? I don't know.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Maybe George? People that went to Georgetown or something? I
- 6:13Speaker 1: don't know. The Hoyas? Yeah, I was in the Hoyas, and.
- 6:18Speaker 1: First of all, my favorite comedy club there, trying to
- 6:21Speaker 1: get the new tour, the new material on track. So
- 6:26Speaker 1: many people came out, man, and it was fun, dude.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And it was fun just learning like the first show.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It just, it kind of built over the weekend. So
- 6:34Speaker 1: in the first show, it was a little bit, I
- 6:36Speaker 1: didn't know the order. I wanted some of the jokes
- 6:38Speaker 1: to be in, some of the stories, you know, I'm
- 6:43Speaker 1: trying to remember and I'm trying to record and write
- 6:46Speaker 1: down the notes after. And it matters my mood, too.
- 6:52Speaker 1: If my mood is a certain type of way, then
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm not going to do as well. I want to
- 6:59Speaker 1: be in a good mood, so my material comes off
- 7:01Speaker 1: in a good mood. That's paramount or tantamount. I don't
- 7:07Speaker 1: know which one it is. It's paramount or tantamount. Tantamount.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Tana Mount sounds like she's a little thick, you know
- 7:15Speaker 1: what I'm saying? But Paramount sounds like she's definitely, she
- 7:21Speaker 1: went to Juvie for sure. She went to Juvie and
- 7:25Speaker 1: she definitely dated a couple brothers, you know what I'm saying? Gang, gang, boy.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Beige power, son. But anyway, so, yeah, it was so
- 7:37Speaker 1: much fun, man. It's just such a fun spot to
- 7:39Speaker 1: perform because the room is so simple. It's a simple room.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And there's no, like, they're not selling a bunch of
- 7:51Speaker 1: riblets or whatever, a bunch of, you know, grilling up
- 7:54Speaker 1: a fucking Lunchable or trying to, you know, get you
- 7:57Speaker 1: over on some bullshit. They got two items in there.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Three items, actually. Drinks, popcorn, comedy. That's it. And usually
- 8:11Speaker 1: they have a piano up front. The guy, I don't
- 8:14Speaker 1: think he died. I thought he died, but they said
- 8:15Speaker 1: he didn't die. But I'm like, if he's not dead,
- 8:19Speaker 1: then where is he? Because it's an older guy. And
- 8:26Speaker 1: Luis is his name. Beautiful guy, too. He's got a wife.
- 8:32Speaker 1: He had a wife. I don't know what's going on
- 8:34Speaker 1: with them. And she's a comedian as well. And she's
- 8:37Speaker 1: got some bangers on her. She's got them. Them front yams, baby.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Them.
- 8:46Speaker 2: All rise!
- 8:48Speaker 1: All rise, boy. I'd love for you to stare right
- 8:50Speaker 1: through the glass at them bad.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Boys, you know?
- 8:53Speaker 1: I'm upstairs, dude. Bro, then you'll be upstairs if you
- 8:58Speaker 1: stand on them, you know? And anyway, I don't even
- 9:01Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, but... But he plays the piano
- 9:05Speaker 1: usually up there. And what I like about that, as
- 9:10Speaker 1: opposed to a lot of clubs, they're pumping in like,
- 9:14Speaker 1: you know, Freddie Mercury or. Who's that other guy that's
- 9:19Speaker 1: like Freddie Mercury? Jerry, somebody. The little guy is like.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And the song might not have been theirs. You know,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you want it. What's that song? Um, shit, I don't know. Anyway, dude,
- 9:41Speaker 1: they play the piano in there. Bruno Mars. They play
- 9:45Speaker 1: the piano in there. That's what I brought. Not Freddie Mercury.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I was thinking, you know, I went Mercury, Mars. That's
- 9:54Speaker 1: what I was trying to get. Mars. Bruno Mars. Zuh.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Bruno Mars. And he... Anyway, a lot of clubs pump
- 10:02Speaker 1: that in there. But at the La Jolla Comedy Store,
- 10:05Speaker 1: they play the piano. So when you sit down as a...
- 10:10Speaker 1: You go there as a clientele, it feels like you're
- 10:13Speaker 1: there for a piece of art. You hear piano, you're like, oh,
- 10:16Speaker 1: this is a... This has an artistic feel to it.
- 10:19Speaker 6: So.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I really like that. I really like that. And, man,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I just so much love, man, out of that area,
- 10:28Speaker 1: out of San Diego. And the city, dude, San Diego.
- 10:35Speaker 1: San Diego, dude. Without Diego, I guess it means, you know?
- 10:39Speaker 1: And I don't know if he's a missing person or what.
- 10:43Speaker 1: That whole deal, what happened, you know? He's basically probably a...
- 10:48Speaker 1: He's like the male Natalie Holloway of Southern California, I guess,
- 10:51Speaker 1: or whatever. But San Diego, I don't know if there's
- 10:59Speaker 1: a better city out there. I really don't. You're outside.
- 11:06Speaker 1: There's people walking by. It's diverse. But just the vibe,
- 11:11Speaker 1: everything can happen. We went to the Padres game, bro.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Went to watch the Drays over there. And dude, it's
- 11:19Speaker 1: everything going on. There's some lady you could join. You
- 11:23Speaker 1: could join MS-13 in one area. There's people that are
- 11:26Speaker 1: like MS-14 through 18, like the high school group of
- 11:32Speaker 1: it or whatever. You know, there's MS-30. It's like dudes
- 11:36Speaker 1: that are still alive, barely, but they aren't in the
- 11:39Speaker 1: gang anymore. And they're face painting like friars on kids'
- 11:43Speaker 1: cheeks over there. And they all got dogs from the
- 11:46Speaker 1: government to help them feel better. And they got... What else, dude?
- 11:51Speaker 1: You could buy jewelry. You could catch a home run.
- 11:55Speaker 1: They got people. I mean, they got a booth over there.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You could get breastfed horchata if you want. They got beers, water. Dude,
- 12:05Speaker 1: it's just... Everything is going on. You could buy a grill.
- 12:08Speaker 1: You could get barbacoa. Just so much stuff. They had
- 12:15Speaker 1: the kids.
- 12:16Speaker 5: They.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Well, they discontinued the kiss cam because of COVID, which
- 12:20Speaker 1: is like, dude, come on, bro. You know? It should
- 12:26Speaker 1: be you bring somebody you don't want to be with
- 12:28Speaker 1: or don't really like and you got to kiss them,
- 12:30Speaker 1: land them lips on them. So, but dude, it's just
- 12:35Speaker 1: a beautiful place. If you haven't been to see a
- 12:38Speaker 1: game there, to watch the Drays play, baby, I don't know.
- 12:43Speaker 1: And then, This boy they got, this man, used to
- 12:51Speaker 1: be a boy, hits a Cronenworth, I think. Larry Cronenworth,
- 12:59Speaker 1: I think. Bro, or Lawrence, maybe. I don't know what
- 13:02Speaker 1: his full name was. Bro, bottom of the ninth. I'm upstairs, bro.
- 13:14Speaker 2: All rise.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Bro, the place went. Bananas, dude. I mean, just full potassium, dog.
- 13:21Speaker 1: People were losing their shit. Somebody gave birth to the
- 13:25Speaker 1: baby and put it back in, dude, so she could
- 13:28Speaker 1: finish watching the end of the game. People were hyped.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Everybody in there is just wearing these necklaces, these spinners.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I mean, it's everything. And they just do such a
- 13:44Speaker 1: good production. Of doing the game. You feel like you're
- 13:50Speaker 1: having fun. Dude the guy gave me a free frank.
- 13:53Speaker 1: At the frank. Center. Free franks bro. Free franks dude.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And then.
- 14:04Speaker 1: A beautiful part man. For me was I went to get.
- 14:09Speaker 1: To look at the barbacoa store. And the guy working there.
- 14:13Speaker 1: One of the guys working at the. at the ballpark,
- 14:16Speaker 1: was coming to the show that night. So he was like, bro,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I'm coming to see you tonight. And, man, it was
- 14:23Speaker 1: just awesome. Just so much love there. I just felt,
- 14:28Speaker 1: I personally felt so loved. And just a good time, man.
- 14:34Speaker 1: A good time. I stayed at a hotel that was
- 14:38Speaker 1: a dump.
- 14:43Speaker 7: Dump.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I wouldn't have minded if it wasn't high priced, you know.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It was like the last room in town. Dude, at
- 14:52Speaker 1: one point, the guy came to my room and asked
- 14:54Speaker 1: me if I had a wrench, bro. Some guy working there.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Asked me if I had a wrench. I guess just,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you know, that's, I think that's cultural appropriation. You know,
- 15:04Speaker 1: just because of how I look, whatever. The guy was like,
- 15:05Speaker 1: hey man, can I borrow a wrench? Like, what? Like, dude,
- 15:10Speaker 1: can I borrow some clean water so I can put
- 15:13Speaker 1: it in the swimming pool? Oh, there was like hair
- 15:16Speaker 1: coming up. There was a Loch Ness Monster in that bitch, dog.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And even he wasn't doing well. He had COVID, I think.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And I don't like to bag on places. I love
- 15:26Speaker 1: a Hampton Inn, you know. But this place, man, it
- 15:31Speaker 1: was just, I don't know what the, the staff was
- 15:35Speaker 1: all nice. I'm not saying that, but it just, I
- 15:38Speaker 1: would not stay at this joint. Just some dicey stuff.
- 15:43Speaker 1: They said it's haunted. I was like, dude, it's, I
- 15:47Speaker 1: don't know if that's haunted. I think it's just, I mean,
- 15:53Speaker 1: my room smelled like, my room smelled like it had
- 15:56Speaker 1: definitely been haunted by somebody doing dumps in it. Somebody doing,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you know, who's that guy with no head or whatever?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Ichabod Crane, bruh. Like he was doing dumps or horses
- 16:14Speaker 1: were or something. Definitely. Nice place. Looks good in pictures, bro. But... Anyway.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I shouldn't really be complaining about that. Oh, what else?
- 16:32Speaker 1: I got to go on Jocko Willink's podcast. That was interesting.
- 16:36Speaker 1: You know... Actually, you know what? I'm going to talk
- 16:41Speaker 1: about that. Let me talk about... We had some responses.
- 16:46Speaker 1: You guys called in about some responses to last week's episode.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Some thoughts that you had on different things, and I
- 16:52Speaker 1: want to get into those. And I also want to
- 16:54Speaker 1: let you know, though, that Bridge Credit Solutions is different.
- 17:00Speaker 1: And this is true, man. This is a company that
- 17:02Speaker 1: helped me. I was trying to get a home. I
- 17:06Speaker 1: was trying to buy a home and be a homeowner.
- 17:10Speaker 1: You know, and a homeowner, like land and stuff like that,
- 17:12Speaker 1: not like somebody trying to love men that is men.
- 17:19Speaker 1: So I got hooked up with this company through a
- 17:21Speaker 1: friend of mine from recovery, actually. And they, my credit
- 17:26Speaker 1: had bad dings on it. I've forgotten to pay a
- 17:29Speaker 1: couple things, bro. I've forgotten to pay for, I missed
- 17:33Speaker 1: some payments on the television and I missed some payments
- 17:36Speaker 1: on I missed about seven payments on a Honda Accord.
- 17:47Speaker 1: So anyway, Bridge Credit Solutions is different. They are backed
- 17:51Speaker 1: with a 100% money-back guarantee for any items that cannot
- 17:55Speaker 1: be removed from your credit. You will not find that

- 18:01Speaker 1: you're paying for at the beginning of the repair. No

- 18:07Speaker 1: is to be done and how much you're paying. You
- 18:09Speaker 1: will need to have bridge report access prior to scheduling
- 18:13Speaker 1: your audit. We cannot go over your credit report without this.
- 18:17Speaker 1: It costs just $ 1. No job is too big or
- 18:20Speaker 1: too small. Bridge Credit Solutions caters to all types of
- 18:23Speaker 1: clients no matter their financial situation. These guys helped me
- 18:28Speaker 1: get my credit score high enough so I could buy
- 18:31Speaker 1: a home. I couldn't buy a home. I said, I
- 18:35Speaker 1: want a home. They said, what about that Honda, bro?
- 18:37Speaker 1: You didn't pay for the Honda from July to frickin' Christmas.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I said, well, bitch, what? All right. Since y'all gonna
- 18:47Speaker 1: be tattletailing on everybody. But Bridge Credit Solutions, they're an
- 18:52Speaker 1: upstairs business, baby. That's right. They will guarantee removal of
- 18:56Speaker 1: certain negative items in as quick as 24 hours. Schedule

- 19:09Speaker 1: of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection. That all
- 19:12Speaker 1: sounds like a lot. But look, I'm telling you, if
- 19:15Speaker 1: there's something in your life that you would like to
- 19:18Speaker 1: do and your credit is affecting it, bridgecreditsolutions.com slash T-H-E-O.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Go there to schedule. Once scheduled, a Bridge Credit I
- 19:31Speaker 1: got a text the other day, man, out of the blue.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And I am happy to share this, man. This really
- 19:39Speaker 1: made my weekend. This is real, man. Hey buddy, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: followed your advice to get my credit rebuilt through the
- 19:47Speaker 1: guy you were advertising. Mine was as low as it
- 19:50Speaker 1: got six months ago. And today I bought my little
- 19:53Speaker 1: family a house. Um, you're really out here. Thanks so much, uh, brother,
- 19:58Speaker 1: all the best to you. And man, this is just cool,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you know, and I'm gonna put this picture up. The
- 20:03Speaker 1: baby looks like it definitely does not want to be
- 20:06Speaker 1: living with the parents, but, um, But, man, this was awesome.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And I feel the same way. You know, bridgecreditsolutions.com slash T-H-E-O.
- 20:18Speaker 1: They won't take advantage of you. If they can't help you,
- 20:21Speaker 1: then it's not going to cost anything. Gang. What else? Oh,
- 20:25Speaker 1: we had some news that happened, man. Oh, dude, Patty Pemblit.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Patty Pemblit. Let's start there. A little bit of news
- 20:33Speaker 1: for you. If you're not familiar with this dude, he's British, brother.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I mean, and he's a hunter. He looks like all
- 20:46Speaker 1: the Beatles if they just went to the gym. He
- 20:51Speaker 1: looks like Matthew, Mark, who's the other guy? John and
- 21:00Speaker 1: which other guy? The little guy. Ringlet. He looks like
- 21:05Speaker 1: all the Beatles if you... Yeah. Yeah, Matthew, Mark, John,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and Ringlet. He looks like all the Beatles if they
- 21:12Speaker 1: just went to the gym and did no music or drugs.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And then, so the fight was crazy, man. He's real frenetic.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You know, he's got that, he's got a lot of
- 21:22Speaker 1: static energy. You ever take something out the dryer and
- 21:24Speaker 1: it makes all that crackling sound when you stretch it,
- 21:27Speaker 1: when you pull it apart? Take the sock off the
- 21:30Speaker 1: sweater and it's like.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Or you ever slide your feet across the carpet at
- 21:35Speaker 1: the library and then just go shock a motherfucker? Paddy's
- 21:40Speaker 1: got that, bro. Paddy's got that, dude. The best was, though,
- 21:45Speaker 1: after the fight, he starts just rattling off all kinds
- 21:48Speaker 1: of quotes. All the quotes, man. I can strike.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I can grapple.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm the new king. The new king is here, lad.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I can wrestle.
- 21:57Speaker 9: I can do the electric slide, man. The redcoats are coming.
- 22:03Speaker 9: Give me Adesanya or give me death. Float like a butterfly.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Sting like a big girl from Newcastle. He just started
- 22:12Speaker 1: going into any quote that had ever been. It was
- 22:15Speaker 1: like so much hype. It was too much, you know.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And then he just started just rattling off random positive quotes.
- 22:22Speaker 1: He's like, give a man a fish and chips and
- 22:25Speaker 1: he'll fish and chips for a day. But teach a
- 22:27Speaker 1: man to fish and chips and I'll beat the fuck
- 22:30Speaker 1: out of every last one of you. Like it just
- 22:32Speaker 1: started to get, it started to just get insane. And
- 22:37Speaker 1: then he just went into like just Beatles quotes. You know,
- 22:40Speaker 1: he's like, Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Take
- 22:45Speaker 1: this broken bastard I just beat and teach him to fight.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You pieces of shit.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I'm a legend.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I'm a king.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I'm John Wick.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I mean, he's just rattling off. Just, just, just, just, just.
- 23:00Speaker 9: I get by with a little help from my fists
- 23:03Speaker 9: and I'll beat the living lips off of your mind.
- 23:06Speaker 1: You're gonna know who I am. Nothing's gonna change my world.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Nothing's gonna change my world. Except all these cash and prizes, bitch.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I'll hard scoff your mother, son. He did every hype
- 23:25Speaker 1: thing you could do at once.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Um.
- 23:29Speaker 1: But suddenly, boom, I'm talking about him. Other people are
- 23:33Speaker 1: talking about him. You know, he'll be Brendan Shaw's favorite fighter.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You know, it just gets how it gets, man. You know,
- 23:44Speaker 1: it's like that's a unique thing about today. You can
- 23:47Speaker 1: create your own hype. And Paddy Pimlet, dude, he did.
- 23:51Speaker 1: He literally just said everything that was like ever hypeful ever,
- 23:55Speaker 1: you know. So I'm here for it, man. I'm here
- 23:57Speaker 1: for Paddy Pimlet. I'm here to see how it goes down.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And he's also in, I believe, you know, I don't
- 24:04Speaker 1: know that much about UFC and about fighting, but I
- 24:08Speaker 1: love it. It's become my favorite sport over the pandemic.
- 24:14Speaker 1: And he's in the 155 weight class. Could it get
- 24:21Speaker 1: any crazier in there? Could it get any crazier? So
- 24:27Speaker 1: just the people he could be fighting down the line,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I mean, oh, it's so hype. It's so hype, man.
- 24:36Speaker 1: What else we got? You guys had some responses, too,
- 24:39Speaker 1: to some of the chatter from last week about some
- 24:44Speaker 1: of the stuff I talked about, about the vaccine and
- 24:46Speaker 1: about the Pledge of Allegiance teacher. And I appreciate those.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And I'm going to get to those in just a
- 24:51Speaker 1: few minutes. Oh, this is what else happened. Joe Rogan
- 24:59Speaker 1: had COVID and he took ivermectin. His methods included taking ivermectin,
- 25:07Speaker 1: a deworming veterinary drug, if you believe in veterinary, that
- 25:13Speaker 1: is formulated for use in cows and horses. While a
- 25:18Speaker 1: version of the drug is sometimes prescribed to people for
- 25:20Speaker 1: head lice or skin conditions. Now, look, I've had head lice.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I've probably had head lice, I would say, 13 times.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Maybe 14 times. Maybe 13. Maybe a baker's dozen.
- 25:36Speaker 2: All right!
- 25:40Speaker 1: Dude, I'm upstairs. You upstairs. When you have head lice, dude,
- 25:42Speaker 1: you're upstairs all day. You're itching the top floor, dog,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know?
- 25:47Speaker 10: So....
- 25:51Speaker 1: So yeah, I noticed a lot of articles, people trashing him.
- 25:54Speaker 2: What does he do?
- 25:55Speaker 1: You know, this guy, what is an idiot? You know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: he's taking these, taking this. Why would he do it?
- 25:59Speaker 1: You know, dude, I've always found, I think it's brave
- 26:06Speaker 1: to try something. Whatever happened to that thing? Hey, maybe
- 26:10Speaker 1: this guy found it. Maybe this guy, this worked for him.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I don't think he's out there saying it's going to
- 26:17Speaker 1: work for everybody. Um, But also the people writing a
- 26:22Speaker 1: lot of articles trashing him about it. Dude, he's such
- 26:28Speaker 1: your daddy. He's your daddy because you're only writing that
- 26:32Speaker 1: article to get the links, to get the links, to
- 26:34Speaker 1: get the people to link on it. So you can
- 26:37Speaker 1: get your money, get your little $ 50, $ 70. And that's
- 26:43Speaker 1: Daddy Joe making you money, boy, keeping you in business.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He's out there trying different things. And Joe Rogan's not
- 26:51Speaker 1: going to try something that's dumb. Have you seen Joe Rogan?
- 26:58Speaker 1: If there's many things he cares about, one of them
- 27:02Speaker 1: is his physical health. Dude, the first time I ever
- 27:07Speaker 1: even met him, he was coming out of a damn portal.
- 27:14Speaker 1: He'd been in, I swear to God, he'd been in
- 27:18Speaker 1: Some type of portal to a nether sphere or something where,
- 27:22Speaker 1: you know, they put alien fat into your limbs or something.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, just the guy's always trying
- 27:28Speaker 1: something new. So I think this is brave. I think
- 27:33Speaker 1: it's brave of him to try it. And especially if
- 27:35Speaker 1: it worked for him. He got it for a couple days.
- 27:36Speaker 1: He got sick. And he got better. I think he
- 27:40Speaker 1: beat it in three days. And that's... Look, this is
- 27:44Speaker 1: one of the... And this isn't me patting Joe Rogan
- 27:49Speaker 1: on the back. You know? Joe Rogan, he's not my daddy.
- 27:53Speaker 1: You know? He's my uncle, I think. You know? Uncle Joe,
- 27:59Speaker 1: he's my uncle. Uncle Joe. Uncle Tom. Segura. Not the...
- 28:06Speaker 1: Whatever the other guy did that I think was kind of...
- 28:08Speaker 1: Somebody did something bad, but.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Uncle Bert. Uncle... I can't... Sebastian. I mean, those guys
- 28:21Speaker 1: are guys that I would go to for suggestions. I
- 28:23Speaker 1: know if I needed some help, they would reply. Uncle Jocko.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You know, different guys. Uncle Poirier. But Joe Rogan's a
- 28:33Speaker 1: smart guy that cares about his health. So I just don't...
- 28:36Speaker 1: I don't think, like... Oh, and it says... What does
- 28:40Speaker 1: it say? The FDA is urging people to stop taking
- 28:42Speaker 1: the drug to fight COVID-19. Um.
- 28:46Speaker 1: But my thing about the FDA is, and look, I'm
- 28:49Speaker 1: an idiot, okay? I'm just thinking out loud. But is
- 28:58Speaker 1: the FDA compromised? That's what I worry a lot about
- 29:00Speaker 1: the FDA. Because I bought some of their meat, you know,
- 29:06Speaker 1: and it's good, but it's not all 90% lean, that's
- 29:11Speaker 1: for sure. And is the FDA compromised? Dude, everything's compromised.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I remember our school board was compromised growing up. Dude,
- 29:20Speaker 1: we had to drink bad milk for a year. We
- 29:22Speaker 1: were drinking sour milk because the guy there was banging the, um, the, uh,
- 29:30Speaker 1: what was that milk company by us called? Uh, yeah,
- 29:34Speaker 1: the guy was banging the board, one of the boarding chicks,
- 29:37Speaker 1: the superintendent or whatever. So we're out there dude, every
- 29:40Speaker 1: day at lunch just sipping. Man, this shit was on
- 29:43Speaker 1: the cusp, bro. I'll tell you this. If you got
- 29:45Speaker 1: that shit at about 11, it was still digestible. If
- 29:49Speaker 1: you got that little milk bag, that lunch bag, about 11.40, ooh.
- 29:56Speaker 1: That shit just... It tasted like you were... It tasted
- 29:58Speaker 1: like I had a little pickleback shot at the bottom
- 30:00Speaker 1: of the bag, baby. So... So I just wonder how
- 30:05Speaker 1: compromised is it? And I'm kind of a skeptic. I
- 30:09Speaker 1: am skeptical. You know? I am skeptical.
- 30:16Speaker 10: Of.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Of everything these days. A lot of things are compromised.
- 30:21Speaker 1: That's money, man. That's big business. So... I don't know, man,
- 30:27Speaker 1: but I think the fact that if Joe Rogan tries it,
- 30:32Speaker 1: he's a brave dude. He's tried a lot of things
- 30:35Speaker 1: that have helped a lot of people. You know, he
- 30:39Speaker 1: really is kind of the, he's a guinea pig in
- 30:43Speaker 1: a lot of ways. And I think that's brave. You know,
- 30:50Speaker 1: he encourages me to want to try different things to
- 30:52Speaker 1: see if they work for me. Now, this could be risky.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I don't know everything. I'm not telling people to go
- 30:57Speaker 1: try ivermectin. I don't know that much about it. But
- 31:00Speaker 1: there's been a lot of people who have said, there's
- 31:03Speaker 1: been a lot of talk about it helping people. So,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I think he's brave enough to do it.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I would like to see that article more. Hey, here's
- 31:11Speaker 1: a guy who's brave enough, who's got a lot to,
- 31:14Speaker 1: I mean, he's got a wonderful life. You know, he's
- 31:18Speaker 1: got a comfortable, neat life where he's doing, you know,
- 31:21Speaker 1: he's doing interesting things all the time. But his health,
- 31:24Speaker 1: he cares about it. I know he does. The first
- 31:27Speaker 1: time I met him, he was coming out of a
- 31:28Speaker 1: medical clinic in the elevator. And I was just like,
- 31:33Speaker 1: you know, I just met him and he was getting,
- 31:35Speaker 1: he's doing something, doing stem cells. You've got some new
- 31:37Speaker 1: stem cell bubble gum or something. You know, I mean,
- 31:40Speaker 1: he's always. So anyway, I think it's brave, man. I
- 31:44Speaker 1: think it's interesting and brave. And maybe I'll get to
- 31:46Speaker 1: talk to him about it firsthand one day. What else?
- 31:53Speaker 1: What else do we have? You know, let's get into
- 32:00Speaker 1: some of you guys' calls, man. We're not going to
- 32:02Speaker 1: make this a super long episode today, and that's okay.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Going to take it easy. And then I'll talk about
- 32:10Speaker 1: going over to Jocko's too. Let me put the headphones on. Yeah,
- 32:17Speaker 1: it was fun this weekend. Mike Clevenger came out. Mr. Frazier, Mr. Musgrove,
- 32:27Speaker 1: some of the Drays players came and watched the show
- 32:31Speaker 1: on Sunday. Ari Maness was performing, and he's a huge
- 32:35Speaker 1: Padres fan. I went with Ari and Brittany Schmidt, another
- 32:41Speaker 1: comedian who was opening up. And so it was so cool.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I didn't know Ari was such a big Padres fan. So, man,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I got to sit next to somebody. He was just
- 32:53Speaker 1: sharing so much good information and telling me all these things. And, man,
- 32:59Speaker 1: it was awesome. But if you have a chance to
- 33:02Speaker 1: go watch them and watch that. And the guy hit
- 33:05Speaker 1: it in the bottom of the ninth. Chris Chenoweth or
- 33:08Speaker 1: whatever the guy's name was, man. Dang city, dude.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I'm upstairs.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Bro. It was sick. And we literally ran out to
- 33:19Speaker 1: beat traffic, dude. I think we made it to the
- 33:21Speaker 1: parking lot before he made it around the bases, bro.
- 33:23Speaker 1: The second he hit that bastard, man. Because we had
- 33:29Speaker 1: to get back for the show. But yeah, just exciting, man.
- 33:33Speaker 1: A great weekend over there in San Diego and La Jolla.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Thank you guys for welcoming me. One more ad. That's
- 33:40Speaker 1: all we got in this. One more ad. To a
- 33:43Speaker 1: friend of mine, my friend Tim. I grew up playing
- 33:46Speaker 1: basketball for his dad, this fella.
- 33:48Speaker 6: And.
- 33:50Speaker 1: And I remember it gave me a lot of confidence
- 33:53Speaker 1: playing basketball when I was maybe 11 starting. You know,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I didn't get into it. I didn't know they had it.
- 33:58Speaker 1: And I got into it. Now he runs this wonderful company,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and they built our website. They just built my friend
- 34:04Speaker 1: Megan's website. She's a therapist in Bend, Oregon, and they
- 34:08Speaker 1: just started her website. But they did ours, and we

- 35:30Speaker 1: you know that. And I'm grateful to them, man. And
- 35:33Speaker 1: I once broke into that guy's house. And I drank
- 35:38Speaker 1: a ton of water when I got in there. They
- 35:39Speaker 1: had a lot of clean water at their house. Because
- 35:43Speaker 1: they had one of those machines. I've never seen that
- 35:45Speaker 1: thing with the big jug with the red and blue button.
- 35:49Speaker 1: And I'd drink a little bit of red and then
- 35:51Speaker 1: have a lot of blue real quick and my tongue
- 35:52Speaker 1: would burn. And I went in there and I shouldn't
- 35:57Speaker 1: have done them. I broke in there when they weren't
- 35:58Speaker 1: home to drink all that water, bro. They had that
- 36:00Speaker 1: shit was, I'd never seen it, that tank, baby. God,
- 36:04Speaker 1: it was beautiful. And then I got tired because I
- 36:07Speaker 1: drank so much water. I think my, you know, you can,
- 36:11Speaker 1: your electrolytes get dizzy if you have too much water.
- 36:13Speaker 1: And then I laid down on this floor to take
- 36:15Speaker 1: a nap and urinated all over the floor, bro.
- 36:16Speaker 7: I did.
- 36:22Speaker 1: And I feel bad, man. They came in. I think
- 36:24Speaker 1: they thought I was dead. I think they thought it
- 36:25Speaker 1: was blood. I was just laying there in this huge... Oh, man.
- 36:31Speaker 1: But they were good to me. And I'm grateful that
- 36:35Speaker 1: they have a nice business now. And that they built
- 36:40Speaker 1: us a nice website. You can check mine out. TheoVon.com
- 36:45Speaker 1: You can also go to TheoVon.com slash tour. um, to
- 36:49Speaker 1: get tickets. There's still some shows on, on, on the
- 36:52Speaker 1: new tour coming up. Um, there might be some tickets,
- 36:56Speaker 1: a few left. Uh, I'm going to start the tour
- 36:58Speaker 1: over a few more practice dates in Peoria, Illinois in
- 37:01Speaker 1: a small town, uh, smaller, smaller city over there. You know,
- 37:05Speaker 1: that area is near and dear to my heart. Um,
- 37:08Speaker 1: my mother grew up over there and, uh, you know,
- 37:11Speaker 1: I love my mother and, and, uh, we'll see if
- 37:15Speaker 1: there's maybe not some good causes we can donate to
- 37:18Speaker 1: while we're in town. And they used to say if
- 37:21Speaker 1: it'll play in Peoria, it'll play anywhere. It was like
- 37:24Speaker 1: the middle of America. So I'm excited about that. We
- 37:30Speaker 1: got St.
- 37:30Speaker 6: Louis.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Cincinnati still has some shows for the Saturday late show.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Cincinnati still has some tickets. Man, a lot of these
- 37:36Speaker 1: are sold out. Chattanooga, Durham, Knoxville, Wilmington, Minneapolis, Wilkes-Barre, Charleston, Richmond, Baltimore, Burlington, Albany,
- 37:49Speaker 1: and Buffalo all still have tickets available. We may put
- 37:52Speaker 1: some new dates out. We'll see. I'm kind of monitoring
- 37:57Speaker 1: my health at the same time, make sure I can
- 38:00Speaker 1: handle it. Going to get some blood work done tomorrow.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Make sure I'm staying upstairs and see what's wrong downstairs, dude.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Not in my wiener, but just something's wrong. Something's wrong
- 38:14Speaker 1: in my body. I don't know what's going on. but
- 38:17Speaker 1: it's been happening for a few years now, and it's
- 38:21Speaker 1: just debilitating. There's some debilitating thing going on, and I've
- 38:26Speaker 1: been trying to figure out what it is, and I
- 38:28Speaker 1: haven't been able to yet. So, not going to give up.
- 38:34Speaker 1: That's for sure. What else? We had some calls that
- 38:39Speaker 1: came in from you guys, and I'm grateful for you
- 38:40Speaker 1: guys calling in. Here we go. Right here, let's get
- 38:42Speaker 1: into a couple of them. Um... Yeah, I had spoken
- 38:47Speaker 1: on the Pledge of Allegiance. We had the teacher that
- 38:49Speaker 1: didn't like the Pledge of Allegiance. And here were some thoughts.
- 38:55Speaker 6: Hey, Theo. My name is Alexis. I'm just calling in
- 38:59Speaker 6: response to the girl who just did the flag. And
- 39:03Speaker 6: I just wanted to say that.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you for calling, Alexis. Yep, and that was
- 39:07Speaker 1: in response, yeah, to what we talked about last week.
- 39:10Speaker 1: The teacher who wasn't real sure about the flag stuff.
- 39:14Speaker 1: And we'll put that video in... right here.
- 39:17Speaker 10: Okay, so during third period we have announcements and they
- 39:19Speaker 10: do the Pledge of Allegiance. I always tell my class,
- 39:23Speaker 10: stand if you feel like it, don't stand if you
- 39:25Speaker 10: feel like it, say the words if you want, don't
- 39:27Speaker 10: have to say the words. So my class decided to
- 39:30Speaker 10: stand but not say the words.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Totally fine.
- 39:33Speaker 10: Except for the fact that my room does not have
- 39:35Speaker 10: a flag. It used to be there. But I took
- 39:39Speaker 10: it down during COVID because it made me uncomfortable. And
- 39:44Speaker 10: I packed it away and I don't know where and
- 39:47Speaker 10: I haven't found it yet.
- 39:49Speaker 1: All right, onward, Alexis.
- 39:51Speaker 6: You know, my family came here from Cuba, and they
- 39:55Speaker 6: were escaping a brutal dictatorship and a brutal government, and
- 39:59Speaker 6: I still have family there, so it hurts to see
- 40:02Speaker 6: when Americans here can't appreciate the freedoms we have, because,
- 40:06Speaker 6: you know, I have plenty of family members back in
- 40:09Speaker 6: Cuba who would be willing to trade places with her,
- 40:11Speaker 6: seeing as they can't post freely online, they can't speak
- 40:15Speaker 6: their minds, and they're starving. It's unfortunate to see, but
- 40:20Speaker 6: I just wanted to share my thoughts, so thanks.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Gang, baby, bienvenidos. Cuba libre. Yeah, it's interesting, you know,
- 40:30Speaker 1: it's interesting how our perspectives can be so different. Yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: I thought about this more afterwards. You know, this teacher
- 40:40Speaker 1: said that she felt like the American flag caused conflict
- 40:43Speaker 1: in her class, and And I remember when I was
- 40:51Speaker 1: a kid, we didn't love America. You know, we were
- 40:53Speaker 1: just in the country. You know, I think everybody loved
- 40:57Speaker 1: the Olympics when it came on. We were all on
- 40:59Speaker 1: the same squad. The players were all excited to be
- 41:02Speaker 1: playing for the country. It felt like there was more unity.
- 41:09Speaker 1: But I remember we had a teacher, this lady, Bar Ballinger.
- 41:13Speaker 1: And Bar Ballinger was all about The Pledge of Allegiance
- 41:17Speaker 1: and dang, Red, White, and Blue. Just the freedoms. You know,
- 41:21Speaker 1: she taught us all about just America, the history. Oh,
- 41:26Speaker 1: the class was History of America. So we're just learning
- 41:31Speaker 1: about all the articles and the declaration. Just all that
- 41:36Speaker 1: kind of stuff, you know. Just high school level stuff.
- 41:40Speaker 1: But she is the one, because if anyone spoke ill
- 41:44Speaker 1: about America... She put her foot down. So I remember
- 41:50Speaker 1: that it was, she used her, her, her space in
- 41:53Speaker 1: our life as a leader, as a, or as a teacher,
- 41:57Speaker 1: because not all teachers are leaders and they're not all
- 42:00Speaker 1: seen that way, especially when you're a child, but she
- 42:04Speaker 1: chose to say, well, I'm going to use this as
- 42:07Speaker 1: a way to see if I can bring these kids
- 42:09Speaker 1: to all have some of the same appreciation that I have. Um,
- 42:15Speaker 1: So I found that that was interesting. Whereas this teacher
- 42:17Speaker 1: seemed to just have kind of a different idea. You know,
- 42:22Speaker 1: she was just... I don't know. I just felt like
- 42:25Speaker 1: that teacher had made it more about her. But then
- 42:29Speaker 1: also we live in a country, yes, where people have
- 42:31Speaker 1: the different freedoms. To think and feel and say whatever
- 42:36Speaker 1: you want. I mean, there's definitely way too many voices
- 42:38Speaker 1: out there these days. But... That's easy for me to
- 42:44Speaker 1: say as I publicly share my voice. It's not hypocritical.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Since I understand it, I feel like it takes some
- 42:55Speaker 1: of the hypocrisy out of it. But I.
- 43:01Speaker 9: Don't know.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I think it's interesting. Because I feel like if we
- 43:04Speaker 1: can all find ways to come together, then it's more
- 43:06Speaker 1: of a healing and it's more of a unified space
- 43:10Speaker 1: that we're working from. So if I am in a
- 43:15Speaker 1: position of, if I can use, if I'm a teacher
- 43:19Speaker 1: or something, I can use my platform to have my
- 43:21Speaker 1: students say, and maybe they are creating the discussion more
- 43:27Speaker 1: in that lady's class. I don't know. I think she
- 43:29Speaker 1: lost her job or they put her on leave of absence. So,
- 43:33Speaker 1: but she'll still get paid probably. And that's pretty lucky.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I bet, yeah, in Cuba, that's not the option. You know,
- 43:41Speaker 1: I remember going to Cuba. I went to your country, Alexis,
- 43:44Speaker 1: one time, and when I was a student, we went
- 43:47Speaker 1: over there. And Fidel Castro came and spoke to us.
- 43:52Speaker 1: He came and spoke to our group. We were students, estudiantes.
- 44:00Speaker 1: And it was just like three or four hours. He
- 44:02Speaker 1: spoke for three or four hours, dude. He's basically like
- 44:06Speaker 1: the Spanish Joe Rogan, bro. But only he was talking.
- 44:09Speaker 1: You didn't get to say anything, so it was just
- 44:10Speaker 1: more of like, Just not really like that. But anyway,
- 44:17Speaker 1: it was just him rattling off different information about how
- 44:20Speaker 1: good things were going in Cuba. It was a lot
- 44:23Speaker 1: of propaganda. And they did have like a lot of big,
- 44:26Speaker 1: they had some, what did they have, lunch? They had
- 44:28Speaker 1: like a light lunch. It was like a couple meat trays,
- 44:31Speaker 1: which was really bizarre, dude. I mean, there's a couple
- 44:34Speaker 1: thousand people in there listening, and there's some light charcuterie
- 44:39Speaker 1: out front. but I do remember going to the bookstore
- 44:43Speaker 1: there and the books all started with, um, Shea Guevara and, and, uh,
- 44:51Speaker 1: Fidel Castro. They didn't have, there was no history beyond that.
- 44:53Speaker 1: You couldn't get a history book before that. It was
- 44:57Speaker 1: as if them saying, this is where the history starts,
- 45:02Speaker 1: you know, with us and only us in our thoughts
- 45:05Speaker 1: and views. Um, But yeah, I found that to be
- 45:09Speaker 1: pretty interesting. I remember people would come up by the
- 45:11Speaker 1: windows and try to tell us secrets or ask us
- 45:14Speaker 1: for help. And we were just, you know, getting drunk
- 45:17Speaker 1: college kids. But beautiful place, beautiful people. We went and
- 45:23Speaker 1: saw some baseball. And we had a really nice time
- 45:26Speaker 1: over there for what it was. I mean, we're just tourists,
- 45:29Speaker 1: you know. We had another call that came in about
- 45:33Speaker 1: the Pledge of Allegiance. Here we go right here. Thank
- 45:36Speaker 1: you for this call.
- 45:39Speaker 8: Hey, Theo.
- 45:39Speaker 11: It's your boy, Andrew, from Minnesota. And I'm just calling
- 45:42Speaker 11: on your thoughts about the flag and that lady's thoughts
- 45:46Speaker 11: about the flag.
- 45:47Speaker 1: What's up, Andrew from Minnesota? Thank you for calling, man.
- 45:50Speaker 1: And Minnesota is a good place to really be nice
- 45:55Speaker 1: to people and agree with people, I feel like. And
- 45:58Speaker 1: also wear a coat while you're doing it. Gang, baby.
- 46:01Speaker 11: So I got to be quick and get it all
- 46:04Speaker 11: out there. So I think the flag is a representation,
- 46:07Speaker 11: a symbol of unity. liberty, and justice. Now, I don't
- 46:12Speaker 11: understand how anybody could think that that's a bad thing,
- 46:15Speaker 11: and I understand you feel the same way. However, there's
- 46:18Speaker 11: been a lot of brainwashing going on, I think, and
- 46:20Speaker 11: I think it's kind of obvious to a lot of
- 46:22Speaker 11: people that that's been going on because we're surrounded by
- 46:25Speaker 11: a bunch of other older countries that really don't like
- 46:27Speaker 11: our idea of liberty and justice and unity. So, I
- 46:33Speaker 11: think a lot of manipulation on the internet ever since
- 46:35Speaker 11: it's been devised has kind of warped a lot of
- 46:38Speaker 11: people's thoughts into maybe it's not such a good thing
- 46:41Speaker 11: to support the idea of the flag because our government
- 46:44Speaker 11: is not the greatest, and our government does a lot
- 46:46Speaker 11: of shady things. Well, our flag didn't do that, and
- 46:48Speaker 11: our flag represents the land. I think it's very simple
- 46:52Speaker 11: when you think about it that way. You don't have
- 46:53Speaker 11: to hate the flag. There's nothing wrong with the flag.
- 46:55Speaker 11: It's just a symbol that represents the land we're on,
- 46:58Speaker 11: and it's supposed to stand for unity, liberty, and justice.
- 47:02Speaker 10: Right.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Got you. Okay. Onward.
- 47:06Speaker 11: So if you, for some reason, you don't like that,
- 47:09Speaker 11: the thing is that there's liberty in that word or
- 47:12Speaker 11: in those three things. You have the freedom to not
- 47:15Speaker 11: like the plague. You don't have to like the plague.
- 47:18Speaker 11: And so I think that you can practice freedom like that.
- 47:21Speaker 11: So the lady that you were talking about, she rejected
- 47:23Speaker 11: the idea of the plague. And I think that maybe
- 47:26Speaker 11: she shouldn't be reprimanded for that. Perhaps, you know, everybody
- 47:30Speaker 11: should have the freedom to. to understand where she's coming
- 47:33Speaker 11: from and the freedom to reject her ideas. So anybody that,
- 47:37Speaker 11: you know, if they've got people or people have kids
- 47:39Speaker 11: in their class, they don't like that. Well, move them
- 47:42Speaker 11: out of her class. You have the freedom to do that.
- 47:45Speaker 11: And so we can practice freedom in that kind of way.
- 47:49Speaker 11: And we don't have to be so divisive and so
- 47:50Speaker 11: hateful because I think the Sanskrit meaning of the swastika
- 47:55Speaker 11: used to be something about peace and love. And it
- 47:57Speaker 11: was a good religious thing. Now I think that's been warped,
- 48:00Speaker 11: and we can see what happens to a symbol. If
- 48:03Speaker 11: enough hate is put onto it, it will become a
- 48:05Speaker 11: hateful symbol. So what will the American flag look like
- 48:08Speaker 11: 100 years from now? Will it be a peaceful unity, justice, liberty,
- 48:13Speaker 11: or will it be something that's been warped through propaganda
- 48:16Speaker 11: and through manipulation? What will we choose right now? Because
- 48:20Speaker 11: we are standing on the ground, moving underneath us. So
- 48:23Speaker 11: I feel like people just need to possibly look at
- 48:27Speaker 11: it from that way or they don't have to, they
- 48:29Speaker 11: have the freedom to not, they have the freedom to
- 48:31Speaker 11: reject this entire idea. And that's fine. So that's my thoughts.
- 48:35Speaker 11: And thank you for listening.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Gang brother. Yeah, no, I love your thoughts, man. And
- 48:40Speaker 1: I appreciate you being able to share your thoughts in
- 48:42Speaker 1: a way that's able for me to understand them. And, um,
- 48:47Speaker 1: sometimes it's hard to get the thoughts from my brain
- 48:49Speaker 1: to my mouth. Uh, but I appreciate you doing that. Um, Yeah,
- 48:54Speaker 1: you're right. I mean, yes. So anyone has the freedom
- 48:57Speaker 1: to share how they want. And yeah, a lot of
- 49:04Speaker 1: stuff is so divisive these days. And a lot of
- 49:07Speaker 1: people are using things to divide, like using tactics or
- 49:11Speaker 1: making as much division. I mean, the internet and social media,
- 49:14Speaker 1: there's so much division on it. And that's become of
- 49:19Speaker 1: such a business. and business is become and everything has
- 49:29Speaker 1: become a business even our unity And putting wedges in
- 49:38Speaker 1: our unity. That has become a business. And if you
- 49:42Speaker 1: don't think that there is.
- 49:46Speaker 1: There are dark arts out there doing that. Then I
- 49:51Speaker 1: think you might be not thinking that good. To be honest.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Because that's one thing that's become so wild with social media.
- 50:00Speaker 1: And with the way that we communicate now.
- 50:04Speaker 6: Is.
- 50:06Speaker 1: There's so much business attached to it. And we are
- 50:12Speaker 1: at a different time. You know, we haven't been in
- 50:15Speaker 1: a time for a while where our country was really
- 50:18Speaker 1: fighting physically, hand-to-hand, so that other people could... So that
- 50:25Speaker 1: we could feel... You know, so we would feel okay.
- 50:29Speaker 1: You know, we're like... You don't fall asleep at night
- 50:33Speaker 1: as often as I used to as a child. You
- 50:35Speaker 1: felt a little bit more, or your parents certainly did,
- 50:39Speaker 1: that there were men and women out there protecting your freedoms.
- 50:45Speaker 1: And yeah, maybe we all see the flag differently. I
- 50:48Speaker 1: see it as a reminder of... I see it as
- 50:55Speaker 1: a reminder of freedom. And my job is freedom of speech.
- 50:59Speaker 1: My job only... But they don't even have my job
- 51:02Speaker 1: in some countries. And I think the thing that got
- 51:08Speaker 1: me about that teacher's video, I feel like she just
- 51:10Speaker 1: made it about her. It didn't have too much of
- 51:14Speaker 1: a big point. It was just kind of this cutesy thing.
- 51:18Speaker 1: And I could be wrong. But yeah, I wonder that.
- 51:24Speaker 1: I wonder that. Remember it felt weird during the... campaigning
- 51:29Speaker 1: or whatever it felt weird because they you didn't know
- 51:33Speaker 1: if you if you showed the American flag it felt
- 51:35Speaker 1: like you were everybody felt like you were some right
- 51:37Speaker 1: wing nut job or not everybody I mean I was
- 51:39Speaker 1: in LA predominantly at the time so in LA if
- 51:42Speaker 1: I would have hung an American flag off my balcony
- 51:47Speaker 1: people would have it just everybody would have asked act
- 51:50Speaker 1: like you're some right wing nut job for hanging your
- 51:54Speaker 1: country's flag that's bizarre Um, but man, great points. It's like,
- 52:03Speaker 1: how are we, and what is influencing us? What is
- 52:06Speaker 1: making me think, oh, is this flag not good? What is, um,
- 52:11Speaker 1: and we're all so influenceable. So, but really interesting, man.
- 52:18Speaker 1: I appreciate you guys sharing your thoughts, you know, and, uh, and,
- 52:24Speaker 1: and yeah, I thought everybody, people have the right to
- 52:27Speaker 1: feel whatever they want. And I don't know what that
- 52:29Speaker 1: woman's life has been like. Maybe she was brought, you know,
- 52:33Speaker 1: people were always, maybe she lived next to a, near
- 52:36Speaker 1: an Air Force barracks or something and people were mean
- 52:39Speaker 1: to her. You know, maybe she feels like she hasn't
- 52:44Speaker 1: gotten certain jobs because other people had different ties into
- 52:49Speaker 1: certain communities or old boy-ism. Man, I used to feel
- 52:53Speaker 1: that way, bro. I hated that shit growing up. You know?
- 52:57Speaker 1: We didn't have anything, man, and nobody, you know, and
- 53:02Speaker 1: so I would see friends that got different opportunities and
- 53:04Speaker 1: stuff like that. Went on vacations and, you know, probably
- 53:11Speaker 1: knew where they were going to go to school or
- 53:13Speaker 1: had pictures at their house where their whole family looked
- 53:15Speaker 1: like they were having a good time together. And that
- 53:19Speaker 1: shit all made me mad because that wasn't part of,
- 53:22Speaker 1: I didn't feel like that could be something I could,
- 53:24Speaker 1: I felt like that was something that was just reserved
- 53:26Speaker 1: for certain people a country club type audience, you know,
- 53:32Speaker 1: or some country club type people. So yeah, you don't
- 53:38Speaker 1: know sometimes also where people are coming from. But there
- 53:41Speaker 1: is a business of division out there. And Jordan Peterson
- 53:44Speaker 1: said it well when we spoke. He said, what is
- 53:47Speaker 1: claiming your awareness? What is claiming your awareness? And the
- 53:51Speaker 1: tools that are out there these days, they're so powerful.
- 53:59Speaker 1: That they'll get you and you don't even know they're
- 54:00Speaker 1: getting you. And if that's not the dark arts, man,
- 54:05Speaker 1: what is? One more call here about Pledge of Allegiance. Maybe,
- 54:11Speaker 1: let me see.
- 54:11Speaker 8: Hey, what's up, Theo?
- 54:14Speaker 5: It's Drew from Alabama.
- 54:16Speaker 1: What's up, Drew? Thanks for calling, man. Alabama, dude, I
- 54:21Speaker 1: got a brother-in-law or something. Brother in, I don't know,
- 54:25Speaker 1: somebody fucked him. He was a male cheerleader over there
- 54:32Speaker 1: at University of Alabama. And praise God, bro. Amen. Let's go.
- 54:40Speaker 5: I'm listening to the Gingerbread Trap House episode right now.
- 54:45Speaker 5: And I got to the part.
- 54:47Speaker 8: Where you're talking about the teacher.
- 54:49Speaker 5: That didn't want to put the flag up. And I
- 54:52Speaker 5: just wanted to say thank you for saying what you said.
- 54:56Speaker 5: You know, thank you for having some balls. saying that
- 55:00Speaker 5: what she was doing was disrespectful. You know, a lot
- 55:02Speaker 5: of people, they got these big platforms nowadays. They don't
- 55:07Speaker 5: want to stand up for the flag. They just want
- 55:11Speaker 5: to go with what the mainstream is saying and stuff,
- 55:14Speaker 5: but not you, man. I appreciate the hell out of that,
- 55:17Speaker 5: telling it how it is, saying that she's enjoying all
- 55:20Speaker 5: these freedoms and say what she wants to say, but
- 55:24Speaker 5: not having her students Go for the American flag.
- 55:26Speaker 8: It just meant a lot to me to hear you
- 55:29Speaker 8: say that.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Well, thank you, man. I appreciate you sharing that with me.
- 55:34Speaker 1: And I don't know if I'm necessarily right about it.
- 55:38Speaker 1: I appreciate your support. But it is true that people
- 55:46Speaker 1: have the freedom of different thought. It's the same thing
- 55:48Speaker 1: that this country was founded on. People left Britain... Because
- 55:52Speaker 1: Patty Pemberton was over there beating everybody off the docks.
- 55:58Speaker 1: That dude was whooping people's ass, bro. Dude, if you
- 56:02Speaker 1: got COVID-19, go. Dude, I bet if you roll up
- 56:05Speaker 1: right in front of Patty Pemberton, dude, he'll pump it right.
- 56:07Speaker 1: He'll punch it right out of your damn solar system. Dude,
- 56:11Speaker 1: that dude's curing COVID, bro, with them COVID cures, dog.
- 56:15Speaker 1: He put him on that other. He popped that other
- 56:18Speaker 1: guy up. Aladdin or whatever his name was. Jerry Aladdin.
- 56:21Speaker 1: I don't know. Whoever he beat, bro, but damn. Yeah,
- 56:27Speaker 1: Patti Pimblet, I mean, sorry. But Patti Pimblet, dude. That
- 56:31Speaker 1: dude's out there. Damn, baby. He's that freelance chiropractor, son.
- 56:36Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? He'll get your chakras all
- 56:40Speaker 1: tightened up, boy. But that's that Patti Pimble recipe, son.
- 56:49Speaker 1: But damn, what was I saying? But no, look, I think, look,
- 56:55Speaker 1: everybody has a freedom to think and feel how they want.
- 56:57Speaker 1: And that's how this country even got started. People didn't
- 57:00Speaker 1: like the feeling or they didn't feel free. So I
- 57:06Speaker 1: do think that we're seeing an evolution of that. And
- 57:09Speaker 1: what will our flag look like in 40 years? You know,
- 57:15Speaker 1: what will it look like? And maybe sometimes I think
- 57:17Speaker 1: things need to evolve over time. I don't look at
- 57:25Speaker 1: the flag and think it stands for white people or
- 57:28Speaker 1: that it stands for... I never felt like it stood
- 57:35Speaker 1: for rich people. I always felt like it stood for us,
- 57:42Speaker 1: I felt like. But say if you're a Native American
- 57:47Speaker 1: and you look at that flag. Or you see your
- 57:53Speaker 1: grandfather look at it. Or if you see your grandfather
- 57:57Speaker 1: that was forced maybe even to serve in a military.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Not by his own choice. But because, you know, it was.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Maybe the land had been taken and it was.
- 58:16Speaker 1: But then maybe he was in the military and he
- 58:18Speaker 1: met his wife and he created his family. Whom he loves.
- 58:23Speaker 1: So now he's sitting there and looking at the history...
- 58:27Speaker 1: But at the same time looking at the future of his. Lineage.
- 58:37Speaker 1: You know and. And I'm grateful that that guy has
- 58:42Speaker 1: the freedom to feel all. And think of all those things.
- 58:46Speaker 1: In an open space.
- 58:53Speaker 6: Um.
- 58:55Speaker 1: So, yeah, I have to remember that it's not just
- 58:58Speaker 1: whatever has been going on for me. And I'm not
- 59:05Speaker 1: calling you out or anything, brother. I'm thankful for your call, Drew.
- 59:08Speaker 1: I really am. Yeah, I don't know. I used to
- 59:14Speaker 1: like it because I felt like it made us all
- 59:16Speaker 1: feel together. I remember looking at my other friends and
- 59:19Speaker 1: they did a Pledge of Allegiance at the Padres game
- 59:22Speaker 1: the other day. I mean, that place is diverse as hell, dude.
- 59:25Speaker 1: You can't even get out of there, bro, without getting
- 59:28Speaker 1: a neck tattoo, I feel like. I don't think they
- 59:30Speaker 1: let you back in your car without a neck tat.
- 59:33Speaker 1: And everybody in there was standing up and supporting the fight.
- 59:38Speaker 1: And it just felt nice. It felt like some tradition.
- 59:43Speaker 1: And maybe that's just what I like. I like tradition
- 59:46Speaker 1: because it makes me feel okay. It makes me feel comfortable.
- 59:50Speaker 1: All right, let's see if we got one more call
- 59:53Speaker 1: that came in here. Here we go.
- 59:55Speaker 6: Hey, Theo.
- 59:56Speaker 8: This is Ryan calling from Baltimore, Maryland.
- 59:59Speaker 11: I was listening to your.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Thank you for calling, Ryan. And I appreciate you listening, man. Baltimore.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: That's Black Maine, Daddy. That's Black Maine, baby. Onward.
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: Your latest podcast where you were talking about the lady
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: who lost her American flag and told her kids that
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: she was okay with them not reciting the pledge or
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: standing for it.
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: Um.
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: I love your show, man, but don't get me wrong,
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: but I got to disagree with you here. You asked,
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: you're like, well, what has she done for freedom?
- 1:00:34Speaker 11: Or like, she's selfish. Like, what is she doing?
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: Like, it seems like it's.
- 1:00:40Speaker 11: All about her. Well, I would argue that.
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: A country where you could go to jail.
- 1:00:46Speaker 11: For not reciting an oath doesn't.
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: Sound very freedom-y to me. I think the freedom that
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: we're so proud of sometimes.
- 1:00:54Speaker 12: Involves allowing people to say or do things that others
- 1:00:59Speaker 12: might find disrespectful. But really, I think that that kind
- 1:01:04Speaker 12: of freedom is something we all need because we all
- 1:01:08Speaker 12: need to be able to express ourselves and maybe disrespect
- 1:01:12Speaker 12: some people if it involves if it's something we need
- 1:01:15Speaker 12: to say. And I think that truly does help us all.
- 1:01:20Speaker 12: There's a lot to be proud of, definitely, in this country.
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: But I think there's also.
- 1:01:24Speaker 12: Stuff that we shouldn't be proud of. And I think
- 1:01:27Speaker 12: that kids should be allowed to make those decisions for themselves.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I appreciate your call, man. Yeah, I agree with you, man.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I agree that kids should be allowed to make those
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: decisions for themselves. I agree with that. Yeah, if somebody
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: didn't say the oath and they go to jail, that
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: seems very.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: That would seem wrong, man. You know. And we don't
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: have that here, fortunately. And look, I think you're right.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: It's like you also have people who don't want to
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: take a vaccine or don't want to feel mandated to
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: take the vaccine. And that freedom. You know, so yeah,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: it's really interesting to try and look at where... It's
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: interesting sometimes when I look at myself and I say, well,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: where do I want freedom? But then where do I
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: want to call the call? Be like, oh, well, I
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: want more freedom over here, but I want, you know,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I want people to say the pledge, but I want
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: people to also, but I don't want to, man, I'm
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: trying to think of what I'm trying to say.
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Uh, I just find it interesting.
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Cause sometimes I'll notice in my own head, where am
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I being hypocritical or I want freedom for what, just
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: what I think. Um, So, yeah, it's tough, man. It's tough, too.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: And part of that is part of being a group
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: and being in a place where you can be free
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to do these types of things. I admired my teacher
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: when I look back on my life because she took
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: some kids who are just kids. You're just trying to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: jerk off when you get home. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: We were 13, bro. Dude, I was saluting my ween weener.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I was downstairs, bro, every afternoon. But she got upset
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: if we didn't support the flag in her class. She
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: got upset. And yeah, I just felt like this teacher
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: was just making it about herself. I didn't really like her.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: It just felt like There's a lot of teachers that
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: are still trying to be kids a lot of times.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: And I think that's just one of the side effects, too,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: of social media. Everybody's just trying to make a damn
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: TikTok dance. You know, nobody's really working anymore. We're all
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: just screwing around making TikTok dances. But, yeah, it's a
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: great point, Ryan. Man, where do I want freedoms? But
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: where do I want, you know, how do I want
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: to bend the freedom? You know, how do I want
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: to make that freedom worm? kind of like not a
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: freedom worm but how do I want that where do
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: I want to put the lines for freedom and make
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: it okay here but a little more open here and
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: it is interesting man but yeah I think I also
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: miss the days when a teacher had a little bit
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: more of authority and that was the rule man I
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: got spanked by my principal I got spanked by my
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: principal And I saw him a couple months ago at
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: a funeral. Not his funeral, obviously, bro. Impossible. And I
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: thanked him, dude. And he told me he enjoyed it.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: And I thought, damn, this dude could be a damn pedophile,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: but he isn't. He's just a regular man that used
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: to beat children, bro, and I needed it. So, speaking
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: of beating children, dude, Patty Pimble beat that dude the
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: other day. Dude, Patti Pimple looks like he looks like
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: somebody who got molested and then beat the hell out
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: of every molester ever. He looks like Charles Dickens' fucking
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: rogue-ass grandson who's here to settle the score. That dude
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: is upstairs. We had some other calls, man, but this
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: is a long first episode, and we have a sit-in
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: producer that's helping out today, Zach, so I don't want
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: to put too much on his plate. But, yeah, man,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a lot of this, you know, and I'm just grateful
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: we can be here and have a conversation. And I'm
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: grateful for you guys calling and being a part of
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: my life and just caring enough, man. You know, it's
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: a unique world, and this is it. This is our life.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: And I'm just glad that we're all coming to the
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: surface of the water and at least just keep taking
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: hits off the air, bro. You know, we stay busy.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: We stay active. And you guys mean a lot to me, man.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I never tell you guys I don't think how much
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: y'all mean to me. You know, I never tell you
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: how much you mean to me. And, you know, I
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: went for a run early. I wasn't feeling super good because,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: you know, who I am, bro. And so I didn't
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: want my feelings to dictate how my day was going
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: to go. So I said, well, if I go for
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: a run physically, my feelings have to come with me.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: So I put them matches on my back, and I
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: went for a run. And while I'm out running, man,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I run into a guy who's listening to my podcast, man.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: And he said, hey, and next thing you know, I
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: didn't want to run that much, and neither did he.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I think he was almost done. He said he'd been
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: drinking the night before. And we went for a run, bro.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: This kid, Drew, I think his name. I can't remember exactly. But, well,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: let me look. I don't want to be too lazy
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: not to look, because I know he's a nice kid,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: young fella. Andy is his name, so not Drew. Drew
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: was the fellow that had just called in from Alabama, man.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: But Andy, and, you know, I just ran to him.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Next thing you know, we went for two miles, man,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: and he shared some story in his life. You know,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: he said his sister just had a baby, the first
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: nephew in his family. And, you know, he just talked
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: about some things. He was making some choices and changes
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: in his life with moving around. It was just nice, man.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: It was just nice. And I'm so blessed to run
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: into people a lot that are cool, that are good people,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you know. And that's a gift that you guys give
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: me a lot. And so I just want to say
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: thank you. I feel like sometimes I don't really, really
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: say that. You know, I've had moments in my life
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: where I could never get as alone as I wanted
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: to get. You know, I could never get as alone
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: as I felt sometimes. Like I would isolate and be
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: by myself. And sometimes I could never get as alone.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I mean, though, you could put me in 40 coffins, bro.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Like one of those little Russian coffins where you keep
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: opening it and the thing gets little and little and
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: little and it's a woman. It's like a little, the
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Maastricht Shaka dolls. My mom used to have some of them.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: But sometimes I just, you know, I could never get
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: as alone as I wanted to get or as alone
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: as I felt. I could never physically get as alone
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: as I felt. And I'm not whining or complaining. I'm
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: just sharing how I'm feeling, bro. or how I have
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: felt and that's just a trick man you know the
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: purpose for being here is to be is some type
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: of connection it really is And man, as much as
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: it's funny how God gives, because every time I think
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I want to be alone, he says, hey, put somebody
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: else in your life. Boom. Even just a person you
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: run and it's a person you talk to, a person you,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: a moment you, and not just me, but you, anybody,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: you see somebody maybe hugs their child or The other night,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: a father and son came out to the comedy show. Man,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: that just made me feel... I never got to do
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: anything like that with my dad. I didn't really know
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: by the time I knew him, he was disappearing. But
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I get to know my... I have a moment with
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: my dad when I see that. When I see a
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: father and son there at the show and they... I
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: think it was the dad's birthday and the kid had
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: brought him out. And it was nice. I got a picture, too.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: I remember I took with him. I'll make sure to
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: put it in the video on YouTube. But I get
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: to live little moments that I don't have. And we
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: all get to. And those are the gifts, man. I
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: think we get them through each other. And I get
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: them so often through you guys. And I am grateful, bro.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: I went to Jocko's, dude. I went to Jocko's. And, bro, Jocko, dude.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: He does his podcast out of like a damn... Well, first,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I don't forget. He does it like out of... It's
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: like a bunker. There's a gym. There's a wrestling gym.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: There's people... There's like a birthing area I thought I saw.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: There's a baby with a rattle with like a 30-pound
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: rattle kettlebelling it on its back. I mean, the baby's
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: been alive for maybe 40 minutes. Like, they're doing... They're
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: doing some top-notch, bottom-notch stuff over there. They're doing some
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: bottom-notch stuff over there. They're putting weighted blankets on infants.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Just a lot of senior citizens. They're throwing a bunch
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: of weighted blankets on them and tickling them and making
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: them crawl. There's a lot going on. You get free
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: barbed wire tattoos in the bathroom. There's a lot going
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: on over there. at Jocko's gym. I mean, there's some
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: lady got, some guy got put into some type of a,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: somebody hard scarfed him, put him into some kind of
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: a hold and damn fucking switched his gender on him.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: The dude got up and had tits and put panties
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: on and left, dude. I mean, there's just, somebody put
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: somebody in a damn gender bender, brother, doing all types
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: of moves over there. So Jocko's doing some top notch,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: bottom notch stuff over there. But it was awesome, man.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: And it was what I needed, you know. And I
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: kind of didn't. Sometimes I don't like going on podcasts
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: because I haven't felt that good. Even for the past
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: two years, man. Something is physically going on with me.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. And I've tried everything
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: to get it. It just won't stop. There's something that's,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: you know. Some condition. I don't know what it is.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: But it makes me not feel good. And then I
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: don't want to podcast when I'm not feeling good. Because it.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: it puts me, you little have to be so present.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: You have to be you. And when you don't feel
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: like yourself, you don't want to share yourself. Cause it's
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: not the real you you're sharing. It's, it's like, I
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: don't know. You know, it's hard to put yourself out
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: there when you're feeling like about 50, 60% of yourself. Um,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: and I'm not complaining. I'm not complaining. I'm not, I
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: don't need any self pity. Uh, um, I do things
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: to take care of myself in the meantime until I
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: can feel better. You know, I've done everything. I don't
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: know if it's mental health, but it feels physical. It
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: doesn't just feel. It feels like this extreme fatigue that
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: happens a couple times a day where I have to
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: lay down. And I haven't wanted to share that because
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I'm not trying to be no damn, you know, One
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: of Patti Pimble's victims, bro. I'm trying to just, you know,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I don't need any of that. You know, everybody has stuff.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: But yeah, I got to go in there with Jocko. Dude,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I'm going to put this picture up now. You'll have
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to see it. I'll try to put it on my
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Instagram too. So they have all kind of weaponry in
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: there and a couple freaking nades on the table and
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: all kind of shit. Bullets and damn bone. They had
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: a human damn half a Cossacks on the table. They
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: got a lot of different bones on there. Somebody's appendix
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: in a bag. They had a bag of dried appendix.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Jocko's over there putting it in his mouth like big
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: league chew. There's a lot going on in the building. And,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: you know, he's sitting over there just fucking chewing on
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: half a cheek full of human appendix. Sorry, but that's
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: such a good, that's a funny thing to think about.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: But anyway, I remember I left, and he sent me
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: a picture later in the day. He goes, hey, man,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: I looked down at my table, and I saw a
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: couple weapons on it. Which one do you think you
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: left here? And I'm not going to tell you. I'll
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: post it right now so you can look and get
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: the joy for yourself. I won't tell you what it was. Oh, wait,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: but if you're on audio, you won't know, huh? It's
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: a comb. One of them's just like a woman's. Oh,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: fuck it. One of them is a woman's hair comb
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: next to like three crazy machetes and knives. And I
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: was wondering where my comb had went, bro. It's not
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: like a woman's comb. It's kind of like a black
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: dude would have that comb, you know, but not the
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: pit comb, just a regular comb. So I liked it, man.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: It's a nice comb. I thought I'm bummed I left
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: it there, but it was just so funny he sent that.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: But I got to go over there and spend time.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: And this is one thing that I'm grateful to our
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: military for. I'm grateful that we live in a country
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: where I can sit here and complain a lot of times. Dude,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: I get whiny sometimes. I do get some self-pity going on.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Where I can complain about how I'm feeling. I can
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: talk about it. When our fathers, our mothers, there wasn't
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: time to do that. They didn't have that opportunity. You know, um,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: And so that is a huge freedom. Because some of us,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: if we didn't have it, people could take their lives.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: You know, people couldn't have, but they're able to, you know.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I mean, we live in a real comfortable place. We're
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: so comfortable, I could sit back with some damn Cheetos
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: or something. I could sit back eating one of those red, white,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: and blue bomb pops complaining about how I feel. And
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: not just, and it's okay, just, you know, But that's
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: a gift, you know. And it's also a reality, you know.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Time has changed. Things are evolving. We're not, you know,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: we're in different spaces. But certainly, I'm also at an age, like,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: I'm not like, you know, a 14-year-old kid who's never
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: known anybody that really fought in any wars or had to,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: you know, lost something or lost loved ones or, you know...
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: If you just are on social media and you're like
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: one of those social media activists or whatever, then yeah,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: it's easy to sit and just share stuff and just
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: tweet and blast and talk shit. But they didn't have
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: that when I was young. They didn't have all this
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: extra information. And they say knowledge is power. Knowledge, I think, is.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: But just bullshit random... Bullshit information that we don't even
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: know is true half the time. That's not power, man.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: And that's a lot of what's being created and manipulated
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: a lot of times. And then it's really taking away
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: a lot of our power from ourselves. You know, it's weird. Like,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: cigarettes and stuff will get banned, but social media won't. I...
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I don't see how we look back in 20 years
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: and think that it was any good. But I don't
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: know if we'll... It's such a big business that business
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: really wins. It's all become such a business, man. It's scary.
- 1:18:05Speaker 8: But....
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: That's okay, man. We got each other. We were at
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: the Padres game. We ate three hot dogs.
- 1:18:13Speaker 9: And.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Went for a run. At the Veterans Administration today. You
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: got dudes out there carrying their legs in a frickin'
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: picnic basket out there, dude. They got some wild cats. So,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: a lot to be grateful for, including you guys. It's September.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Football's starting back. There's a lot going on. There's a
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: lot going on. Yeah, I just want to say thanks, man.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: You know, we're doing it. We keep going. That's the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: number one thing we have to do is stay alive.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: You know, that's the most important thing. Um, that's the
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: most important thing. We can figure the rest of it
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: out and we'll try to do it together. You know,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: it's wild. There's also so many more people in the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: world now. So you can have so many more ideas
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: and there's so many more, you know, it's a, it's
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: a business to make us get it disagree. And it's, uh,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: It's the dark arts, man. I wonder what fuels how
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I feel a lot of times. You know, sometimes I'll
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: ask myself, well, why do you feel this way about this?
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: And I can't tell. Sometimes I can't tell if I
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: just was influenced by something. Sometimes I can tell if
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: it's a real feeling I have, but I don't always
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: know where my influences came from. And were those pure,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you know? And one thing about getting older, I'll find
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: that I feel like my influences from when I was
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: younger are purer than influences that could just be happening
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to people younger now. And then I start to see, oh, well,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: this is why grandparents and their kids and there's always
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: these differences of, you know, things evolve and change. But
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: we stay alive and we just try to keep seeing it,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: And.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm trying to say. I've never
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: really been good at goodbyes, man. But gang, gang, man,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: you guys be good to yourselves. Y'all deserve it. I'm
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: going to go out with this band, one of the
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: greatest bands that was ever put together that didn't stay
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: together because, well, differences. Differences, addiction. I don't know. And
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I don't feel like I'm talking out of shop on
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: these boys. I mean, I love that, you know. But,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: and maybe they will. You know, they still try. I
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: know they, I think in their hearts, you know. They
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: just had a new album that came out. But, it's interesting, man.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: That even something as beautiful as music, it can, it
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: stops getting created. When, when you're not together, when you're
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: not on the same page. So, you know, and we
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: don't have to be on the same page, but even
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: if we can at least stay in the same book, man,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: we could probably, we could probably keep the tunes going.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: This is Making It by Bishop Gunn. Man, I love
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: this band.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: I ain't seen home in about a hundred days. I
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: can almost hear mama preach. For my restless soul.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: And I ain't made a dollar I ain't spent But
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: where it's going.
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: Ain't killed me yet I still get where I'm bound to.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Go Travis McCready, man.
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: Damn.
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: I'm making it I'm making wrong feel right.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: I'm making it And if hell's where.
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: I'm headed then I'm making good time guitar.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: Solo And most all of my plans slip right through
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: my hands and wind up next to me, broken.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: On the ground.
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: If this bottle was an hourglass, I'd say that I'm
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: about an hour past the minute.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: I should have put it down.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Damn, that's a lyric.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: But I'm making it.
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: I'm making wrong feel right.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: I'm making it, and.
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: If hell's where I'm heading then, I'm making good time.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Make a good.
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: Time Between the lies that I've crossed And the fears
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: that I've lost I'm left here alone.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: In my skin.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: Ben Lewis, baby. Come on. Drew Smithers, baby.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: I ain't seen home in about a hundred days. I
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: can almost hear mama.
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: Pray for my restless soul.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Man, that's making it by Bishop Gunn. And that's what
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: we do. We just keep making it, baby. Drew Smithers,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: Ben Lewis, Travis McCready, and Burn Sharp, man, whose dad
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: gave me a job on his farm when I was
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: fresh out of college, when I was in college, and
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: he died of overdose. And, you know, here I am,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: 20 years later, getting to enjoy music made by his son, man.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: And his son and I are still really, really close. Man,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: we just got to stay alive so we can just
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: be a part of the little bit of music I
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: think that God has in store for us. I really
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: believe that, man. So I'm going to do my best, man.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: That's all we can do, baby. Gang, be good to yourselves.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: You deserve it.
