- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on, everybody? It's Romeo. We talked a
- 0:02Speaker 1: little bit about Major League Baseball and the playoffs. We
- 0:04Speaker 1: also got into a friend of mine. He's going back
- 0:07Speaker 1: to Alabama for his cousin's wedding, and they're going to
- 0:10Speaker 1: have a taco bar. A taco bar in Alabama. What
- 0:13Speaker 1: does that look like? Let's find out. I have a
- 0:16Speaker 1: lot of text messages that I've been, I got to
- 0:19Speaker 1: get to. Let's see. Yo, Rome. I've been talking to
- 0:23Speaker 1: this girl for about two months, texting her, talking here
- 0:25Speaker 1: and there, and hanging out with her here and there.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I have two kids. She's got one. I'm getting to
- 0:32Speaker 1: know her, going on dates. One time her son came,
- 0:36Speaker 1: her babysitter backed out. As a gentleman, I paid for
- 0:40Speaker 1: his dinner and got him a dessert also. How long? Oh,
- 0:43Speaker 1: so it's been two months. Okay, so within the two months,
- 0:46Speaker 1: you've already met her kid. She brought him on a date. Okay.
- 0:50Speaker 1: He tagged along twice after that, so now it's three times.
- 0:54Speaker 1: No alone time. The third time, which was yesterday, I
- 0:58Speaker 1: invited her to eat. Turns out her kid didn't go
- 1:01Speaker 1: with the dad, so he tagged along. Didn't know until
- 1:04Speaker 1: I picked her up. I asked if she can cover
- 1:07Speaker 1: his cost. We had a little disagreement in the car.
- 1:10Speaker 1: She didn't go. Her and her son stayed. We continued
- 1:13Speaker 1: the disagreement on text. I was trying to diffuse and explain,
- 1:17Speaker 1: but ladies don't like to understand from my experience. But
- 1:24Speaker 1: I want to date her, not the kid. That'll come
- 1:28Speaker 1: in time. You think I'm wrong in the situation. Well,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I do and I don't. I think she's not the
- 1:42Speaker 1: one for you is what I think.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Because I get what you want. You want to get
- 1:49Speaker 1: to know her, date her, and build that relationship or
- 1:54Speaker 1: see if that relationship goes somewhere. And if it does,
- 1:58Speaker 1: then you want the kid introduced to you and introduced
- 2:02Speaker 1: into the relationship. She did it immediately. Um, which says
- 2:07Speaker 1: two things about her.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Either she is just trying to get her kid. Is
- 2:13Speaker 1: she broke? And is she trying to find a stepdaddy
- 2:16Speaker 1: for her, her and her kid to take care of everything?
- 2:18Speaker 1: Or she, Is she just a good mom that has
- 2:24Speaker 1: a kid? And she's just making it clear from the
- 2:28Speaker 1: get-go that her life, they're a package deal. Her and
- 2:33Speaker 1: the kid are a package deal. So you have to
- 2:37Speaker 1: answer that question first before I can say if you're
- 2:40Speaker 1: in the right or you're in the wrong. Because typically
- 2:46Speaker 1: what happens is this. A single mom... doesn't introduce you
- 2:49Speaker 1: to her kid until she knows you're going to be around.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Because any woman, any single mom who just introduces every
- 3:00Speaker 1: dude to her kid that she dates and sleeps with
- 3:03Speaker 1: and goes out with is just a bad mom.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Okay?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Shouldn't be doing that. That just drags your kid through
- 3:08Speaker 1: a bunch of trauma that he don't need or he
- 3:10Speaker 1: or she don't need. So typically, a good mom will
- 3:17Speaker 1: get to know you Find out if you're going to
- 3:20Speaker 1: be the right one. And if you are, then introduce
- 3:23Speaker 1: you to the kid. So what's going on? Is she
- 3:31Speaker 1: just looking for a stepdaddy to, you know, Captain Save-A-Ho
- 3:34Speaker 1: to come in and take care of everything? And that's
- 3:36Speaker 1: why she just brought the kid in right away? Or
- 3:42Speaker 1: is she just letting you know up front that It
- 3:45Speaker 1: sounds to me like, based on what you've told me,
- 3:48Speaker 1: and I can only take your side of it, is
- 3:50Speaker 1: if you asked her to pay for her child and
- 3:54Speaker 1: she got into an argument about it, she's just looking
- 3:57Speaker 1: for a guy to step in and be stepdaddy, pay,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and take over. That's what it sounds like to me.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Because any mom, any single mom, if you ask them
- 4:10Speaker 1: to pay for their kid, any good single mom's going
- 4:12Speaker 1: to go, hell yeah, I'll pay for my kid. they're
- 4:15Speaker 1: not going to, but also you already paid once. So
- 4:19Speaker 1: did you set a precedent? I don't think so. It's
- 4:21Speaker 1: only been two months. So I think two months is
- 4:25Speaker 1: a little early to bring the kid into the situation.
- 4:27Speaker 1: So I don't necessarily think you're wrong, but I do
- 4:34Speaker 1: think that there is an argument to be made that
- 4:38Speaker 1: she believes they're a package deal and there's no reason
- 4:43Speaker 1: to hide it. Uh, From the get-go. I think she
- 4:47Speaker 1: might believe that that is the way to do things.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And that it's better that way. I don't think it's
- 4:54Speaker 1: better that way, but she might believe that. Okay? But
- 5:00Speaker 1: I'm probably going to go with the fact that I
- 5:02Speaker 1: think most people are going to go with the fact
- 5:04Speaker 1: that she's just looking for stepdaddy. She needs somebody to
- 5:07Speaker 1: come in and pick up the slack, and you're that guy.
- 5:10Speaker 1: And she just doesn't care.
- 5:13Speaker 2: So.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I don't think she's the girl for you based on
- 5:17Speaker 1: what you've told me. A guy was texting me. He
- 5:19Speaker 1: said he's gone out with this girl for a couple
- 5:20Speaker 1: of months, right? They've been hanging out here and there.
- 5:23Speaker 1: He has two kids. She got one. Getting to know her,
- 5:26Speaker 1: dating and stuff like that. I guess one time the
- 5:28Speaker 1: son came along on the date because the babysitter had
- 5:31Speaker 1: backed out. He said he paid for the meal. Then
- 5:35Speaker 1: he tagged along twice after that. The third time, which
- 5:39Speaker 1: was yesterday, I invited her To eat, I told her
- 5:42Speaker 1: she needed to pay for her kid, not me. And
- 5:46Speaker 1: so they didn't go out. He doesn't know. And I
- 5:50Speaker 1: guess they had a disagreement on text messaging. He doesn't
- 5:53Speaker 1: know if he's in the wrong or not. I'm starting
- 5:55Speaker 1: to think you're not in the wrong, to be honest
- 5:57Speaker 1: with you. What's going on?
- 5:58Speaker 4: Good morning, Romeo.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Hey, what up, man?
- 6:00Speaker 5: Hey, man, I just want to comment about that guy
- 6:03Speaker 5: who called about the kid that he's paying for.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The girl that's been going out
- 6:07Speaker 1: a couple of months, yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Yeah, look, he's not right and he's not wrong, but
- 6:13Speaker 5: the fact that it bugs them just to bring the
- 6:16Speaker 5: boy over, I think they're just going to cause each
- 6:19Speaker 5: other problems and he's going to.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Be unhappy towards the end.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Right from the bat, I'd rather.
- 6:25Speaker 7: Know I have a kid, and if he comes around,
- 6:29Speaker 7: why not?
- 6:30Speaker 2: You want to get to know her, so like you said,
- 6:32Speaker 2: he comes with a package.
- 6:34Speaker 8: There's nothing wrong with this.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But it's bugging him.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It is bugging him.
- 6:38Speaker 2: You're right. Yeah. You're right. It's bugging him.
- 6:41Speaker 5: There's nothing wrong with it bugging him, but it's best
- 6:45Speaker 5: for him just to go and try to find a
- 6:47Speaker 5: single mother.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Or, I mean, scratch that, a woman who doesn't.
- 6:51Speaker 8: Have any kids. Doesn't have kids.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So he doesn't have to fend with that.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 5: That way, and if she's okay with him having kids, then,
- 6:57Speaker 5: you know, it's going to work.
- 6:59Speaker 8: But he needs to understand it's going to go both ways.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Somebody doesn't want a baggage, and he has it just
- 7:04Speaker 2: as much as she has.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:06Speaker 5: In my opinion, guys, for they can save each other problems, just,
- 7:09Speaker 5: you know, break it off.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Yeah. And maybe go eat some fries at the fair.
- 7:14Speaker 8: Go get some.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Feta fries with Ruben?
- 7:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I had to go get those.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I had to go get those.
- 7:20Speaker 10: And the guy who said it, hey, there's fire.
- 7:23Speaker 11: All right, God bless you guys.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Well, yeah, I guess he's right. I mean,
- 7:35Speaker 1: there's just a whole lot of complications in the situation
- 7:38Speaker 1: to begin with. I mean, you have kids. She has
- 7:41Speaker 1: one kid, but within two months of dating her, she's
- 7:45Speaker 1: already brought her kid out on your date three times.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And the fourth time you said she needs to pay
- 7:56Speaker 1: for him and she got upset about that so you
- 7:59Speaker 1: didn't go out with her. I think that you just
- 8:01Speaker 1: got all kinds of problems to begin with. I agree.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I agree with what you're saying. You want to get
- 8:06Speaker 1: to know her before you get to know the kid
- 8:09Speaker 1: because maybe it doesn't work out Maybe it's not. I mean,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I think she's introducing the kid way too soon. Because
- 8:17Speaker 1: why would you do that? Unless you're just looking for somebody,
- 8:19Speaker 1: Captain Save-A-Guy. You're looking for stepdad. I mean, that's the
- 8:21Speaker 1: only reason she would do that, right? I can't see
- 8:25Speaker 1: any other reason. Oh, I really like you, and I
- 8:28Speaker 1: want to go out with you. But, yeah, no, I'm
- 8:32Speaker 1: starting to be on his side now, the more I
- 8:34Speaker 1: read it. Because look at it like this. If she
- 8:39Speaker 1: really wanted to go out with you, and the babysitter canceled,
- 8:44Speaker 1: but she still wanted to go out with you, so
- 8:45Speaker 1: she brought the kid, because she was really into you,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and you paid, but the minute you asked her to
- 8:51Speaker 1: pay for the kid, she doesn't want that, and then
- 8:55Speaker 1: she doesn't go out with you, so she's not really
- 8:57Speaker 1: into you for you. She sounds to me like she's
- 8:59Speaker 1: into you to feed her kid, now that I, if
- 9:02Speaker 1: you look at it that way. So, maybe you're not wrong.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I got this from a guy, I guess he said
- 9:07Speaker 1: he's been dating this girl for two months, right? She
- 9:09Speaker 1: has one kid, He has two kids. They've been hanging
- 9:12Speaker 1: out here and there. I guess the babysitter backed out.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So she actually brought the kid to the date in
- 9:18Speaker 1: which he said he paid for the dinner. And then
- 9:21Speaker 1: the kid came two times after that. Now he said,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I guess yesterday there was a third time she said
- 9:27Speaker 1: she was going to bring the kid. And he said, well,
- 9:29Speaker 1: if you bring the kid, you got to pay for him.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And so she ended up not going out with him.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And he's trying to figure out if he's wrong in
- 9:36Speaker 1: this situation. I don't think he is. I think that
- 9:38Speaker 1: you introduce... Your kid, as a single person, single parent,
- 9:44Speaker 1: whoever you're dating, I think you introduce the kid to
- 9:46Speaker 1: the person after you realize it's going to be a
- 9:49Speaker 1: long-term situation, a long-term relationship, you guys. So, good morning.
- 9:54Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 9:55Speaker 12: Hi, good morning, Romeo.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Hey, what's up? Hi.
- 9:59Speaker 7: Uh well i was calling in regards to that lady
- 10:01Speaker 7: bringing her um kid i think she did wrong because
- 10:05Speaker 7: i mean if he doesn't bring his kids i feel
- 10:10Speaker 7: like she shouldn't brought her kid at all and if
- 10:12Speaker 7: it was something serious And, you know, like, say later
- 10:17Speaker 7: down the line, and if they both bring their kids, yes,
- 10:20Speaker 7: I think it's only fair. But I think it's a
- 10:24Speaker 7: big turnoff when the female brings their kids over to
- 10:27Speaker 7: their date or, like, to a dinner or anything. Unless
- 10:30Speaker 7: if he says, you know what, bring your kids, and that...
- 10:33Speaker 7: You know, that's okay. But her taking her kids, just like,
- 10:36Speaker 7: I don't know. That guy should run because I'm a
- 10:39Speaker 7: single mom too, but I wouldn't bring my daughter over
- 10:43Speaker 7: unless he says, bring your kid, you know, or unless
- 10:46Speaker 7: if it's something serious or we both bring our kids together,
- 10:49Speaker 7: you know?
- 10:49Speaker 1: No, I agree with you. The more that I think
- 10:52Speaker 1: about it, I think they've only been dating for two
- 10:54Speaker 1: months and she says, I got to bring my kid
- 10:56Speaker 1: because the babysitter, then yeah, there's something else going on.
- 11:00Speaker 1: It's not, she doesn't really care for him.
- 11:03Speaker 7: Yeah, I think she just wants a free meal for
- 11:06Speaker 7: her kid.
- 11:07Speaker 2: All right.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Well, hey, gas is like six bucks a gallon. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: guess I can't blame her.
- 11:13Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I think if I was a guy, I would
- 11:15Speaker 7: run because, I mean, you know, there's a lot of
- 11:17Speaker 7: single moms out there, and we wouldn't bring our kid
- 11:20Speaker 7: unless if he says or unless if he brings his kid,
- 11:23Speaker 7: it's just only fair. But other than that, it's just
- 11:25Speaker 7: too soon.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:27Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 1: All right. Thanks, Carly. And that's from a single mom
- 11:30Speaker 1: who's in the scene. So I guess we can't argue
- 11:32Speaker 1: with her, right? Got this from a guy. I guess
- 11:34Speaker 1: he said he's been dating this girl for two months, right?
- 11:36Speaker 1: She has one kid. He has two kids. They've been
- 11:39Speaker 1: hanging out here and there. I guess the babysitter backed out.
- 11:43Speaker 1: So she actually brought the kid to the date in
- 11:46Speaker 1: which he said he paid for the dinner. And then
- 11:48Speaker 1: the kid came two times after that. Now he said,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I guess yesterday there was a third time she said
- 11:55Speaker 1: she was going to bring the kid. And he said, well,
- 11:57Speaker 1: If you bring the kid, you got to pay for him.
- 11:59Speaker 1: And so she ended up not going out with him.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And he's trying to figure out if he's wrong in
- 12:04Speaker 1: this situation. I don't think he is. I think that
- 12:06Speaker 1: you introduce your kid as a single person, single parent,
- 12:11Speaker 1: whoever you're dating. I think you introduce the kid to
- 12:14Speaker 1: the person after you realize it's going to be a
- 12:17Speaker 1: long-term situation, a long-term relationship, you guys. So good morning.
- 12:22Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 12:23Speaker 2: Yo, Mr.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Romeo, man.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, what up?
- 12:26Speaker 10: Man, on that topic, man, with old boy taking that
- 12:29Speaker 10: dinner right at lunch.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:31Speaker 4: You know what it is, man?
- 12:32Speaker 13: It's just, she's just looking for the free meal, man,
- 12:36Speaker 13: because normally if a woman is excited about going to
- 12:39Speaker 13: lunch or for a dinner date with a man, man,
- 12:42Speaker 13: she ain't bringing no kid, man.
- 12:44Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying?
- 12:45Speaker 13: She's going to bring the kid to not have nothing
- 12:48Speaker 13: going on.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Okay. You know what I'm saying?
- 12:51Speaker 9: And at the end of the day, he's paying for
- 12:53Speaker 9: two meals, man.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Not one.
- 12:55Speaker 13: And it's depending on the age, too.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Imagine he ordered a lobster. Yeah, yeah. You know what
- 13:00Speaker 1: I mean? There's some kids that eat a lot. You're right.
- 13:03Speaker 1: You're right. You're right.
- 13:04Speaker 9: And then you still, you still going to go with.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Your hands in your pants. You know what I mean?
- 13:11Speaker 3: Like, whoop.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Like, hey, the first time you let it slide.
- 13:14Speaker 9: But you know what I mean?
- 13:15Speaker 13: It's just being a habit.
- 13:17Speaker 8: She ain't interested, man.
- 13:19Speaker 1: All right, man. All right, brother.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Later, man.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Let's talk for the morning. All right.
- 13:24Speaker 9: 8-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Rome, you date the girl, you date the kid. Regardless,
- 13:27Speaker 1: even if you just met her, the kid will eventually
- 13:29Speaker 1: be in the picture. Either get used to it or
- 13:31Speaker 1: run while you still can. Yeah, I agree with you.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I mean, that's a valid argument. But I would just say,
- 13:40Speaker 1: you introduce the kids once you realize the relationship is
- 13:45Speaker 1: going somewhere. I think that's when you introduce the kids.
- 13:49Speaker 1: But I agree with what you're saying. It's a package deal. Alrighty, 4254.
- 13:54Speaker 1: 7 to 7. I don't know. What do you guys think?
- 13:58Speaker 1: Good morning. What's going on?
- 14:00Speaker 10: Hey, Romeo. I was just calling to give kind of
- 14:04Speaker 10: like some advice on this dating.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, what up?
- 14:07Speaker 1: What do you got?
- 14:09Speaker 10: Well, how old are the kids we're talking about?
- 14:11Speaker 1: That's a good question. I did not get that information.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Does that matter?
- 14:16Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 8: Yes, it does.
- 14:17Speaker 12: Okay.
- 14:18Speaker 10: Because, you know, you never want the child to feel
- 14:22Speaker 10: less than.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And.
- 14:25Speaker 10: Like myself, I was a package deal. And when I
- 14:29Speaker 10: was dating, it was, you know, my child was my sidekick.
- 14:35Speaker 10: So I was.
- 14:36Speaker 3: It was known.
- 14:37Speaker 10: It was known. You know, I can't say it was known.
- 14:40Speaker 10: It was a package deal.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Sure.
- 14:42Speaker 10: So if I was invited out to a dinner or
- 14:46Speaker 10: a lunch or anything, my son was with me.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Period.
- 14:50Speaker 5: You know, um.
- 14:52Speaker 10: And I think that's something that you, depending on the
- 14:54Speaker 10: age of the child, you never want the child to
- 14:56Speaker 10: feel less than, you know, because I think that's what's
- 15:00Speaker 10: wrong with society today.
- 15:01Speaker 15: You put your child.
- 15:02Speaker 10: In, you know, in the back burner, and the child's
- 15:05Speaker 10: going to feel less than. And then they're going to
- 15:07Speaker 10: not get along with, I don't know, possibly stepdad or
- 15:10Speaker 10: the boyfriend.
- 15:11Speaker 8: And.
- 15:13Speaker 10: Everybody wants to say, you know, a lot of it
- 15:15Speaker 10: could be the child's fault when technically the mom should
- 15:20Speaker 10: be putting the child first. It's just a dinner date
- 15:24Speaker 10: or a lunch date. Why can't the child go? I
- 15:26Speaker 10: don't understand that.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Okay, well, let me ask you this question. Okay, let
- 15:30Speaker 1: me ask you this question. Hold on. Let me ask
- 15:32Speaker 1: you this question then. And I'll give you your point
- 15:35Speaker 1: because it makes a lot of sense.
- 15:38Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But when he said, you have to pay for the kid,
- 15:41Speaker 1: and they decided not to go with him, how does
- 15:45Speaker 1: that change the dynamic of what's going on in this conversation?
- 15:48Speaker 10: Oh, I'm done with you. I'm walking away. Because if
- 15:50Speaker 10: you can't include my child, it could possibly be a
- 15:55Speaker 10: good thing.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Why would you want to wreck a good thing?
- 15:57Speaker 10: Are you interested in me or not? You knew from
- 15:59Speaker 10: the beginning I was a package deal.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I don't know if he knew from the beginning. That's
- 16:04Speaker 1: the thing, though. He's saying.
- 16:05Speaker 10: Well, you're talking about three dates.
- 16:07Speaker 12: Though, right?
- 16:08Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I think it's two. But here's the other thing. He
- 16:11Speaker 1: also said that she didn't tell him the kid was coming.
- 16:14Speaker 1: She just brought him.
- 16:17Speaker 10: But we're talking three different dates. So the first date,
- 16:20Speaker 10: they should have communicated.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I agree.
- 16:22Speaker 10: But, you know, even from the start, it could have been,
- 16:27Speaker 10: I'm a package deal. Period.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I would agree with that. I would agree with that.
- 16:31Speaker 10: Because a lot of women out there, you know, when
- 16:33Speaker 10: you don't explain yourself or let the other person know
- 16:36Speaker 10: the situation, I don't believe that that's really communicating. That
- 16:41Speaker 10: is like, I don't know, going into a blind date
- 16:45Speaker 10: or something. But, you know, when you're involved with your child,
- 16:48Speaker 10: you always let somebody know.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I agree with you. I agree with what you're saying.
- 16:53Speaker 1: But I think we're going to disagree on how the
- 16:56Speaker 1: package deal works.
- 16:58Speaker 10: Depending on the age.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Well, look at it like this, though. You cannot have
- 17:08Speaker 1: the same sort of intimate date with somebody. And I'm
- 17:11Speaker 1: not talking about sex. I'm talking about the intimate conversations
- 17:14Speaker 1: and getting to know somebody with your kid there. So
- 17:18Speaker 1: that's why I say I get what you're saying about
- 17:21Speaker 1: the package deal, but the dating portion of it changes
- 17:26Speaker 1: the dynamic of how well you get to know each
- 17:29Speaker 1: other or speak to each other when the child is there.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's why I say we're going to have a different
- 17:35Speaker 1: conversation about a package deal and what that consists of.
- 17:38Speaker 10: Yeah, and see, I think before I go on a date,
- 17:43Speaker 10: I'm going to know the person before then. I'm not
- 17:46Speaker 10: going to go on a date. I'm going through a
- 17:47Speaker 10: car wash.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Excuse me.
- 17:49Speaker 1: How would you know.
- 17:51Speaker 1: How would you know the person before you go on
- 17:53Speaker 1: the date with them then if you didn't go on
- 17:54Speaker 1: the date with them? That's what dating is, to get
- 17:56Speaker 1: to know the person.
- 17:57Speaker 10: Because I'm going to know them through friends or I'm
- 17:59Speaker 10: not just going to go on a blind date.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I don't do that.
- 18:01Speaker 10: Because in today's society, you just set yourself up and
- 18:04Speaker 10: stuff like that.
- 18:05Speaker 16: Okay.
- 18:06Speaker 10: But when you know somebody, you've got that, you know, attraction.
- 18:11Speaker 10: You talk, whether it's on the phone or, hey, even
- 18:14Speaker 10: nowadays texting. Sure. You know, but to go on a
- 18:17Speaker 10: date now, it's just too much.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to tell you this. Based on the
- 18:22Speaker 1: conversation we just had and the conversation this guy sent me,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you sound like two totally different women.
- 18:30Speaker 12: Well, I'm an older woman.
- 18:34Speaker 3: We don't see the kind of dating that we used to.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 10: You know, and like I'm saying, you know, it's sad
- 18:40Speaker 10: to see and hear how the generation has changed.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:44Speaker 7: All right.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Go to the car wash. Get your car clean. All right.
- 18:48Speaker 1: That's right. All right. I mean, she makes a valid point.
- 18:55Speaker 1: She does. But it sounds like the way she's handling
- 18:57Speaker 1: her relationships, or the way she's handling her life is
- 19:01Speaker 1: much different than the way this woman is handling her life.
- 19:04Speaker 1: That woman sounded like she was far more upfront and
- 19:07Speaker 1: honest than the woman in this text message. I got
- 19:11Speaker 1: this from a guy. I guess he said he's been
- 19:13Speaker 1: dating this girl for two months, right? She has one kid.
- 19:16Speaker 1: He has two kids. They've been hanging out here and there.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I guess the babysitter backed out. So she actually brought
- 19:22Speaker 1: the kid to the date in which he said he
- 19:24Speaker 1: paid for the dinner. And then the kid came two
- 19:27Speaker 1: times after that. Now he said, I guess yesterday there
- 19:31Speaker 1: was a third time she said she was going to
- 19:33Speaker 1: bring the kid. And he said, well, if you bring
- 19:35Speaker 1: the kid, you got to pay for him. And so
- 19:38Speaker 1: she ended up not going out with him. And he's
- 19:40Speaker 1: trying to figure out if he's wrong in this situation.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I don't think he is. I think that you introduce
- 19:46Speaker 1: your kid as a single person, single parent, whoever you're dating.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I think you introduce the kid to the person after
- 19:54Speaker 1: you realize it's going to be a long-term situation, a
- 19:57Speaker 1: long-term relationship, you guys. So good morning, Al. What's going on?
- 20:00Speaker 6: Hello, Romeo.
- 20:01Speaker 8: Hey, I'm the kid. I'm 22, and I like chicken nuggets.
- 20:05Speaker 11: And he don't want to pay no more, man. that
- 20:11Speaker 11: messed up man he's dating my mom he's dating my mom.
- 20:16Speaker 1: All right yo what's going on what's.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Up romeo hey what's going on hey man listen you
- 20:29Speaker 4: know what i think man i think it's a lack
- 20:31Speaker 4: of communication okay you know because hey if You know,
- 20:36Speaker 4: it sounds like it was the emergency situation that the
- 20:38Speaker 4: babysitter checked out. So at least let me know, give
- 20:43Speaker 4: me the opportunity to say, yeah, bring him along. Or,
- 20:47Speaker 4: you know, she should have backed out and let me
- 20:50Speaker 4: know that, hey, this is what's happening. And then I
- 20:53Speaker 4: have some control in the situation. But just for them
- 20:55Speaker 4: to just pop up? No, no, no, no, no. You know,
- 21:01Speaker 4: it's got to be some kind of communication there. It's
- 21:04Speaker 4: not the kid's fault, but the mom should have more,
- 21:07Speaker 4: you know, more going on than that.
- 21:11Speaker 1: It sounds to me, after all this, that the mom
- 21:13Speaker 1: not telling means that she's trying to get that kid
- 21:16Speaker 1: a meal.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that's where it's at. That's what that's where it appears.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yes, that's what it appears.
- 21:22Speaker 4: He's just showing up without without the guy knowing anything.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 1: So, I mean, all right.
- 21:29Speaker 10: All right.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. I appreciate it.
- 21:31Speaker 15: All right.
- 21:32Speaker 1: No problem. We just looking at how it appears and
- 21:34Speaker 1: that's how it appears. How are you going to show
- 21:38Speaker 1: up on a date with your kid and not tell
- 21:42Speaker 1: the person you're dating? Or show up with a friend
- 21:45Speaker 1: or show up with somebody. You know what I'm saying?
- 21:47Speaker 1: You got to tell them. You would think, right? All right,
- 21:53Speaker 1: so this guy sent me a text message. Said he's
- 21:55Speaker 1: been going out with this girl for a couple of months. Now,
- 21:57Speaker 1: they're both single parents. He's got two kids. She's got one. Apparently,
- 22:01Speaker 1: on the first second date, the babysitter canceled. So she
- 22:04Speaker 1: just brought the kid. But apparently, she didn't tell him.
- 22:07Speaker 1: She just showed up with him. So he did what
- 22:09Speaker 1: was right, I guess, as a gentleman. He said he
- 22:11Speaker 1: paid for everything, dinner and everything. Then the kid shows
- 22:14Speaker 1: up twice more. So now we're the third date with
- 22:17Speaker 1: the boy coming. And then, I guess, yesterday, he showed
- 22:21Speaker 1: up again. And so he had said, hey, you need
- 22:25Speaker 1: to pay for your son. She got mad, and the
- 22:27Speaker 1: date got canceled, right? He doesn't know if he's right
- 22:30Speaker 1: or wrong. Good morning, how's it going on?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Hey, what's up, Roman Seahawks?
- 22:34Speaker 9: What up, Lou?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Hey, you know you're not the dumbest person in Kern
- 22:38Speaker 1: County anymore, right?
- 22:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 22:40Speaker 8: My phone was blocked.
- 22:42Speaker 10: My phone was blowing up in the morning.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You've been out dumbass. What's going on?
- 22:47Speaker 8: You've been out dumbass.
- 22:49Speaker 2: That's good.
- 22:50Speaker 8: That's a good.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Achievement for me. What's up, Lou?
- 22:55Speaker 8: Hey, I was calling for this.
- 22:56Speaker 2: This guy is kind of upset about the kids. Hold on, Lou.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You know what that means? You can't win anything because
- 23:03Speaker 1: you can't even get first place in being a dumbass.
- 23:06Speaker 1: You've got to be the second dumbass.
- 23:10Speaker 8: Why you got to call me the second dumbass, man?
- 23:12Speaker 8: There's other qualified people.
- 23:14Speaker 7: All right.
- 23:14Speaker 1: What do you got, Lou?
- 23:18Speaker 10: What do you got?
- 23:20Speaker 9: You know how this guy's upset because the kid's coming?
- 23:24Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 8: On the second date.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Well, I think what he should have done was like
- 23:29Speaker 5: say they planned out a date to.
- 23:31Speaker 8: Go eat like a steakhouse or something.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 9: I would have just drove into Del Taco and be like, surprise,
- 23:38Speaker 9: you know, your kid's coming.
- 23:41Speaker 2: We're going to eat Del Taco.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Well, he didn't.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Even know the kid was coming. The kid just showed
- 23:45Speaker 1: up with her.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 9: But what I'm saying is the kid showed up with her.
- 23:50Speaker 6: So instead of going to where they're planning.
- 23:53Speaker 1: To go, he goes somewhere cheaper.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Change it up on her, too.
- 23:58Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 24:01Speaker 1: I think that's what he should have done and not complained.
- 24:04Speaker 1: If she gets mad because they're going to a different spot,
- 24:06Speaker 1: then that's just being selfish. Well, I guess you're right.
- 24:10Speaker 1: By that logic, Lou, it's not. I know you're a
- 24:14Speaker 1: cheap ass, but by that logic, if you're going to
- 24:16Speaker 1: bring your kid, let's go to a kid-friendly restaurant.
- 24:19Speaker 2: There you go.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Del Saco is nice and cheap, and we're good. Oh,
- 24:26Speaker 1: my God, Lou. You are just a dumbass. All right.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Switch it up. You're now second chair when it comes
- 24:33Speaker 1: to dumbassery.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I'm not that good.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Oh my God, Romeo. What's going on?
- 24:42Speaker 9: Good morning, Romeo. It's your early morning heckler.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Man, if it were.
- 24:47Speaker 13: Hard to get to you, you would have thought you
- 24:49Speaker 13: were giving out tickets.
- 24:50Speaker 10: But yeah, man, I just want to let you know
- 24:54Speaker 10: that I'm a package deal as well.
- 24:57Speaker 7: Whenever you want to go out on a date, I
- 24:58Speaker 7: got to bring my son.
- 25:00Speaker 1: It's not my fault.
- 25:04Speaker 12: That my baby mama is, I picked the wrong one.
- 25:08Speaker 9: You know, it's not their fault either, but, you know,
- 25:10Speaker 9: this guy steals it.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Okay. Okay. You going to make her pay, too, for
- 25:15Speaker 1: you and your son?
- 25:17Speaker 9: Oh, no, I'll pay. I'm betting on the Raiders right now.
- 25:20Speaker 9: I'm not winning. That's why my baby.
- 25:22Speaker 10: Mama is MIA. We met at a Raiders tailgate.
- 25:26Speaker 1: She's been gone.
- 25:28Speaker 9: I haven't heard from her.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Well, all right, man. Later. Good morning, y'all. What's going on?
- 25:35Speaker 3: Good morning, Romeo.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Hey, what's up?
- 25:38Speaker 3: As a single mom, there is no way in hell.
- 25:40Speaker 15: I would take my children... on a date with a
- 25:44Speaker 15: man that I'm barely even knowing, that I'm barely meeting.
- 25:49Speaker 15: I don't know what was that lady's problem, but it
- 25:51Speaker 15: would have been an automatic reschedule if the sitter was
- 25:54Speaker 15: not able to go.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Okay. I think that would be the most common view
- 26:00Speaker 1: of everybody listening right now is if introduce your children
- 26:05Speaker 1: to the guy when you know it's going to be
- 26:07Speaker 1: something more than just A few dates or a one-night
- 26:10Speaker 1: fling or whatever it may be. You're going to wait
- 26:12Speaker 1: until there's something more deeper going on, right?
- 26:16Speaker 3: Yes, I was actually... In a relationship a while back,
- 26:21Speaker 3: it took me six months for me to introduce my
- 26:24Speaker 3: children to this man. Children, mind you, two of them
- 26:28Speaker 3: were adults and one was a minor, and.
- 26:30Speaker 15: He was 17 at that.
- 26:31Speaker 8: So I don't care how old you are.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I think when your kids are younger, you shouldn't introduce
- 26:36Speaker 3: a man to your children at all.
- 26:37Speaker 15: But I think, you know, that's probably a whole new topic.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Different topic.
- 26:42Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Wait on bringing your children around men or even women.
- 26:47Speaker 16: You don't know these people.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Dang, girl, what's wrong with you? You can't get a man.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Fumi?
- 26:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:53Speaker 7: Oh, I get men all the time.
- 26:55Speaker 1: No, you can't keep one. Then why aren't you keeping one?
- 26:59Speaker 3: Look, I'm going to tell you right now. The dating
- 27:02Speaker 3: scene is.
- 27:02Speaker 15: Kind of foul here in Bakersfield.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I don't want to keep a man here in Bakersfield.
- 27:09Speaker 4: That's not right. Rather not.
- 27:12Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 27:13Speaker 3: If you could go and find me a good man
- 27:15Speaker 3: out here in Bakersfield, please let me know.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I know two. I only know two.
- 27:21Speaker 15: Well, I'm a hardworking woman.
- 27:23Speaker 5: I own my car.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I might not own a house, but I have a job,
- 27:29Speaker 3: and my kids are all from the same dad.
- 27:31Speaker 7: And they're all grown.
- 27:32Speaker 1: They're all grown. Sounds like you're a good woman.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I am a good woman. You see Bakersfield?
- 27:38Speaker 12: I don't want to do stuff here.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Oh, that's great.
- 27:42Speaker 4: All right.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Thanks for calling.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Bye.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Oh, you know she a good woman. All her kids
- 27:48Speaker 1: are from the same baby daddy. Hey, Rome, I'm a
- 27:51Speaker 1: girl and I think he should break it off. If
- 27:53Speaker 1: she got upset about him asking for her to pay
- 27:55Speaker 1: for her own child, something is wrong with the situation.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Like you said, maybe she's broke. Maybe she wants someone
- 28:02Speaker 1: to take care of them or she's just looking for
- 28:04Speaker 1: a free meal for her child. If I was dating
- 28:07Speaker 1: someone and he asked me to pay for my own
- 28:10Speaker 1: kid's food, I would do that and I would even
- 28:13Speaker 1: offer to pay for his meal. I don't think you
- 28:15Speaker 1: can always take. You got to give sometimes. Yeah, I
- 28:21Speaker 1: would agree with all that. Yeah, I think that's where,
- 28:27Speaker 1: I don't know why he said after the third time
- 28:31Speaker 1: the kid showed up on the date with the mom
- 28:34Speaker 1: not telling him that the kid was showing. I don't
- 28:38Speaker 1: know why he asked that question. Maybe he asked for
- 28:42Speaker 1: her to pay because he was trying to figure out
- 28:44Speaker 1: If she was just trying to get a free meal
- 28:46Speaker 1: for the kid and for him to get upset, for
- 28:48Speaker 1: her to get upset about it does say something. I
- 28:52Speaker 1: think it says more about her than it does about him, right?
- 28:55Speaker 1: We're not what's going on.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Yo, what up, bro?
- 28:57Speaker 1: What up, man?
- 28:58Speaker 4: Hey, that dude's probably right, though. You know, kid-friendly places. Now,
- 29:03Speaker 4: if you want to bring your kid, kid-friendly places.
- 29:06Speaker 2: You know? I mean, probably not Del.
- 29:08Speaker 6: Taco, but you could do a little extra, like, John's
- 29:11Speaker 6: Incredible Pizza or something.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Well, Lou was saying it because Lou's cheap. He wasn't
- 29:17Speaker 1: saying it because the kid was. He was saying because
- 29:19Speaker 1: Del Taco's cheaper than going out to dinner.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 29:23Speaker 1: So that's why.
- 29:24Speaker 2: You can go a little bit more with John's incredible,
- 29:27Speaker 2: you know, just a little bit more.
- 29:29Speaker 1: All right, man. Later. All right. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 29:31Speaker 9: Where are we at here?
- 29:33Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 29:43Speaker 1: You guys got me a long text message. Yo, my guy. Yo, Rome,
- 29:46Speaker 1: the guy isn't saying she's hiding her kid. He just
- 29:49Speaker 1: isn't ready for the part of the relationship.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I don't bring my kids around females myself, so if
- 29:57Speaker 1: I can keep my kids' relationships separate From a personal relationship,
- 30:02Speaker 1: out of respect, why wouldn't she, especially to be a
- 30:06Speaker 1: presentable lady around your kids? But anyway, I get you.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I think you're right. But anyway, I was in a
- 30:13Speaker 1: very similar situation, except the girl I was talking to
- 30:18Speaker 1: invited me out, and then her kids ended up tagging along,
- 30:21Speaker 1: so no problem. But in my head, that adjusted me
- 30:26Speaker 1: paying for us. to her paying for her kid and
- 30:30Speaker 1: I'll pay for us. But instead, when the bill came,
- 30:33Speaker 1: I let her pay it all since I was invited
- 30:37Speaker 1: and her son picked the place and all that. Now,
- 30:40Speaker 1: she didn't like it and confronted me about it, but
- 30:44Speaker 1: I held my ground, took a bit, but I think
- 30:47Speaker 1: she ended up liking my self-respect out of that. Stay solid, fellas. Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I mean, I can't really argue with what you're saying.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I just think when there's kids involved, I think you
- 31:01Speaker 1: got to, there's a time and place. Immediately is not
- 31:04Speaker 1: the time and place. I mean, for the most part,
- 31:08Speaker 1: dating is getting to know somebody. And you can't get
- 31:10Speaker 1: to know somebody on a personal level the way that
- 31:14Speaker 1: you want to when there are kids there. It's just not,
- 31:18Speaker 1: it won't go down like that. Like, can you go
- 31:23Speaker 1: to a drinking spot with the kids? I mean, yeah.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I agree, Rome. she should have introduced her son later
- 31:29Speaker 1: in the relationship, but he could have just told her
- 31:32Speaker 1: that instead of making it about the bill, because now
- 31:35Speaker 1: it sounds like it's about the money, not saying he
- 31:38Speaker 1: has to pay for everything. But if you date a
- 31:40Speaker 1: single mom, there may be times he's going to have
- 31:43Speaker 1: to pay, especially if he looking for something serious. I 100%, 100%. Um,
- 31:48Speaker 1: what do.
- 31:52Speaker 8: You got?
- 31:53Speaker 1: Sounds like dude is broke, uh, too broke to have
- 31:56Speaker 1: a girlfriend anyway. Um, Yeah, I don't think that's right,
- 32:00Speaker 1: but okay. Yo, Rome, how many men are there? How
- 32:05Speaker 1: many men are these poor kids meeting with their moms?
- 32:08Speaker 1: Seems like every female I meet is antsy to bring
- 32:12Speaker 1: their kid almost immediately. Like, damn, I hope they aren't
- 32:14Speaker 1: raising daughters or those daughters going to see it's okay
- 32:18Speaker 1: to bring around different men all the time. I mean,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I think that's the point. I think that's really what
- 32:26Speaker 1: it comes down to. If you're a single parent, and
- 32:31Speaker 1: you're out there trying to find a relationship that's going
- 32:35Speaker 1: to be turned into a long-term, turn into marriage, whatever
- 32:39Speaker 1: it is, dating's a gamble, man. Sometimes you date a
- 32:42Speaker 1: lot of people before you find the right one. So how,
- 32:46Speaker 1: if you just keep bringing these people around your children,
- 32:50Speaker 1: what does that say? What does that teach? You might
- 32:52Speaker 1: be right about that. Hey, Romeo, these women introduced their kids...
- 32:57Speaker 1: to anyone and it's way too soon. You need to
- 33:00Speaker 1: date like one on one to get to know the guy,
- 33:04Speaker 1: not date with your kid around. Two months is way
- 33:07Speaker 1: too soon. If you don't work out, if you don't
- 33:10Speaker 1: work out, if it don't work out, he's just going
- 33:13Speaker 1: to end up meeting all the potentials. He's going to
- 33:18Speaker 1: end up meeting all your potentials. Oh, the kid is
- 33:21Speaker 1: just going to meet all the potentials. I'm not saying
- 33:24Speaker 1: you'll completely get to know everything because you never finish
- 33:28Speaker 1: getting to know someone. People always change, but you can't
- 33:31Speaker 1: trust just anyone around your kids. Yeah, I mean, that's
- 33:38Speaker 1: pretty true, right? Nah, bruh, she's foul for this one.
- 33:42Speaker 1: We need more details. How hot is she? Did he
- 33:48Speaker 1: eat already? Had he met the kid before? How serious
- 33:53Speaker 1: are they? She might be testing him, bro. But I
- 33:57Speaker 1: do know probably her baby daddy mad that someone else
- 34:02Speaker 1: is hitting that. Okay.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Let's see here. Hey, Rome, Seahawk Lou can be number
- 34:13Speaker 1: two from Austin Powers for Halloween, yeah? Seahawk Lou has
- 34:20Speaker 1: been out dumbass today. He is now number two in
- 34:24Speaker 1: the dumbass ranking of the listeners that call this show.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Seahawk Lou is number two.
- 34:30Speaker 11: Start spreading the news.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I'm leaving today.
- 34:37Speaker 8: One game down, baby.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Who'd they beat?
- 34:39Speaker 2: Philly?
- 34:41Speaker 8: What?
- 34:41Speaker 1: No, who did the Yankees beat? The Red Sox. Red Sox.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Red Sox.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Red Sox.
- 34:46Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, they whipped them pretty good, too.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah. You know what?
- 34:52Speaker 8: So one game down, baby.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Honestly, to be honest with you, didn't even know people
- 34:56Speaker 1: still watch baseball.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Oh. No, I know.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I know it's still huge. I just really didn't realize.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I didn't even know the playoffs were going on until yesterday.
- 35:06Speaker 2: So I'm going to tell you. I went to.
- 35:10Speaker 8: New York last year, and I watched two games. I
- 35:13Speaker 8: sat in the front row, and the next very day,
- 35:16Speaker 8: I sat in row B. And Nat looked over at me,
- 35:22Speaker 8: and she said, you're never going to do that again, huh?
- 35:24Speaker 2: I said, never. One row means everything.
- 35:27Speaker 12: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Later, brother.
- 35:32Speaker 10: Later.
- 35:32Speaker 1: That's awesome. Yeah, the Yankees are up. I did see
- 35:34Speaker 1: the baseball. I was talking about the baseball. I know
- 35:37Speaker 1: the Padres won. The Yankees won. The Dodgers are waiting, right?
- 35:42Speaker 1: They're waiting for who? Phillies and who? Atlanta? I think
- 35:49Speaker 1: the Dodgers are waiting between the winner between Philly and Atlanta, right?
- 35:53Speaker 1: And Atlanta won? I don't know. I guess I could
- 35:55Speaker 1: look it up, but I'm just not a huge baseball guy.
- 35:59Speaker 1: All right, so there you go. Congratulations, Gila. The Yankees
- 36:02Speaker 1: are back. Or were they ever gone? I don't know.
- 36:05Speaker 1: I think the Dodgers are still going to.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I'd like to see the Dodgers still win it all.
- 36:11Speaker 1: That three-peat would be cool. All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Well,
- 36:14Speaker 1: there you go. Raiders!
- 36:19Speaker 9: Good morning, Tom.
- 36:20Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 36:22Speaker 2: Bro, we're waiting on the Padres and the Cubs.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Padres and the Cubs. Who is it, the Dodgers?
- 36:27Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Is that who they're playing? Is that who the Dodgers play?
- 36:30Speaker 2: We play the winner of the Dodgers and the Cubs.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I mean, of the Cubs and the Padres. Oh, really? Oh, okay.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm still waiting on it.
- 36:38Speaker 2: I know.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I was with my boy this morning. He's still mad
- 36:40Speaker 1: at Machado. He was still yelling about Machado. He saw
- 36:43Speaker 1: Machado on the screen. He's still yelling at him. I said, damn, dude,
- 36:46Speaker 1: let it go. My God.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Machado be acting like a fool sometimes.
- 36:51Speaker 1: He's still mad. You either love him or hate him
- 36:55Speaker 1: at one day.
- 36:56Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 36:57Speaker 1: My boy's still mad at Machado. How long ago would
- 37:00Speaker 1: Machado leave the Dodgers?
- 37:01Speaker 7: Jeez.
- 37:02Speaker 4: No, he just talked smack about the Dodgers.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Yeah, but how long ago since Machado was on the Dodgers?
- 37:08Speaker 4: Five years?
- 37:10Speaker 2: I don't even know. I don't think he was with us.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Machado played for the Dodgers, didn't he? Am I wrong?
- 37:16Speaker 1: He just talked crap?
- 37:18Speaker 2: He just talked crap.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Oh, I thought he played for the Dodgers at one point.
- 37:22Speaker 11: No, he always just go over there and be talking
- 37:26Speaker 11: smack like he's been somewhere.
- 37:28Speaker 2: And that's what's a big problem is Padres ain't playing.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Oh, got you. Never done anything, and then he talks.
- 37:34Speaker 2: And then they get spanked the next day. Got you.
- 37:38Speaker 4: All right.
- 37:38Speaker 12: So that's it.
- 37:39Speaker 7: All right, Joe.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Later.
- 37:43Speaker 4: What's up, Romeo? I just wanted to correct that last guy.
- 37:45Speaker 1: So Machado did play for the Dodgers.
- 37:48Speaker 2: You were right. Oh, okay.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I thought he did. I thought that's why the Dodger
- 37:51Speaker 1: fans were mad at him, because he.
- 37:52Speaker 10: Laughed or something.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, they were mad at him whenever he left to
- 37:55Speaker 2: the Padres.
- 37:57Speaker 1: He told the fan that at the Padres, we're going
- 38:01Speaker 1: to win the World Series before the Dodgers did.
- 38:03Speaker 10: Oh, gotcha.
- 38:03Speaker 5: And that's why the Dodger fans were all mad at him.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but he lost.
- 38:07Speaker 9: I think he lost the World Series with them like
- 38:10Speaker 9: in 2018.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Gotcha, gotcha.
- 38:12Speaker 12: And then he left to the Padres around 2019, 2020
- 38:14Speaker 12: around there.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Okay, okay. So my buddy's still mad at him. All right.
- 38:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 1: All right, Romeo.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Have a good day.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Later, brother. Hey, what's going on?
- 38:23Speaker 2: Yes, he did. He played with the Dodgers in 2018.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody just called and said, I thought he did.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I thought that's why the Dodger fans were mad at him.
- 38:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:32Speaker 1: That's too many people like him. I know.
- 38:35Speaker 8: That's too many people like him.
- 38:36Speaker 1: My boy's still mad. He's holding an eight-year grudge against Machado.
- 38:42Speaker 11: Yeah, so my son went to a three-game series against
- 38:48Speaker 11: the Yankees, and he said some Yankee fan said, tossed
- 38:52Speaker 11: a tomato and Machado?
- 38:55Speaker 8: Yeah, hit his shirt and threw him out.
- 38:58Speaker 2: But he wasn't ready towards the end.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Why does nobody like Machado? What does Machado do?
- 39:02Speaker 8: He talks a lot of smack, man.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Well, a lot of people do. Yeah.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Anyway. All right. All right, brother.
- 39:09Speaker 10: Later.
- 39:09Speaker 1: All right, Raider Joe. Machado did play for the Dodgers.
- 39:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Rome.
- 39:15Speaker 1: The guy's wrong. The Dodgers play the winner of Philly
- 39:18Speaker 1: versus the Braves, Atlanta. Okay. And Machado did play for
- 39:21Speaker 1: the Dodgers in 2018. He's a bandwagon fan. Tell him
- 39:26Speaker 1: to get another team. Who, Raider Joe? No. Raider Joe's
- 39:29Speaker 1: not a bandwagon.
- 39:30Speaker 8: Fan.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I won't let you guys disparage Raider Joe. Raider Joe's probably,
- 39:35Speaker 1: he didn't know because he's too busy raising his kids,
- 39:37Speaker 1: taking care of his family. Raider Joe ain't like that.
- 39:39Speaker 1: You guys better calm down. I know Raider Joe 30 years.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Don't say nothing bad about Raider Joe. Let me get
- 39:45Speaker 1: your text messages here. Hey, Rome, the guy that said
- 39:50Speaker 1: last the Dodgers as a bandwagon fan, Machado was at
- 39:54Speaker 1: Dodger just for three months. He went bitter on the
- 39:59Speaker 1: Dodgers because they didn't make an offer to sign him.
- 40:04Speaker 1: You will see a lot of bandwagon this weekend asking
- 40:08Speaker 1: why Kershaw isn't pitching, not knowing he retired already. Well,
- 40:13Speaker 1: Machado only played for three months. Yo, Rome, Manny did
- 40:18Speaker 1: play for the Dodgers in 2018. The Dodgers will play
- 40:21Speaker 1: either Atlanta Braves or the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday. Okay.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I hope the Major League Baseball playoffs, they're not dragging
- 40:29Speaker 1: it out like the basketball playoffs.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Hey, Rome, brown-nosed Joe don't know his Padres, I guess.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Raider Joe's not a brown-noser. I've known Raider Joe 30 years.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Raider Joe's a friend of mine. All right, I've never
- 40:44Speaker 1: heard Raider Joe Brown knows anybody. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. I got to
- 40:50Speaker 1: tell you.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Oh, you know what?
- 40:50Speaker 1: Let me give away some tickets first. I got to
- 40:52Speaker 1: tell you a story here in a minute, but let's
- 40:55Speaker 1: give away some tickets first to the fair. I got passes.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I don't know. I got passes to the fair. Yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 1: I got some passes for you getting to the fair.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Four-pack of tickets for the fair this week.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Good morning, Al.
- 41:06Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 41:07Speaker 2: Well, it sounds like Chili Willie wakes up tooting his
- 41:10Speaker 2: own horn.
- 41:11Speaker 1: What's that?
- 41:12Speaker 6: It sounds like Chilly Willy wakes up tooting his own horn.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Boy, Chilly Willy's got a lot to live for. He
- 41:17Speaker 1: lives a great life. I wish I had Chilly Willy's life.
- 41:20Speaker 12: I know, but we don't care that he's sitting in
- 41:22Speaker 12: front row and his son got season tickets. We don't
- 41:24Speaker 12: care about none of that.
- 41:26Speaker 4: That's irrelevant.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Well, he worked his ass off to get there. I
- 41:29Speaker 1: don't know how to... I mean, as Ruben always says,
- 41:32Speaker 1: haters go ahead.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but if Ray Day did that, it'd be obnoxious,
- 41:37Speaker 2: and I'd be getting.
- 41:38Speaker 6: But I'm glad you guys are holding... Brown knows Joe
- 41:41Speaker 6: accountable for his mistake because I would have got crucified
- 41:44Speaker 6: if I didn't know my team.
- 41:48Speaker 1: If Joe didn't know, well, that's because you're not likable anymore.
- 41:52Speaker 1: You used to be really likable, but since the Raiders
- 41:54Speaker 1: are winning three games, you're acting like an ass.
- 41:58Speaker 6: Hey, Romeo, I'm used to being the black sheep of
- 42:01Speaker 6: the family, so I'm used to this.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Okay. Bring it on.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I mean, I'm glad you're proud of it, but nobody
- 42:07Speaker 1: likes it. You're just making yourselves look bad. And that
- 42:11Speaker 1: was funny, too, because I was talking to a guy
- 42:13Speaker 1: this morning. This guy was just praising the Raiders, how
- 42:16Speaker 1: great the Raiders are, how great the Raiders are, right?
- 42:19Speaker 1: And I thought, yeah, they beat an 0-3 team, another
- 42:22Speaker 1: 0-3 team, and a 1-2 team. They're doing great. They're
- 42:26Speaker 1: doing great.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 42:27Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 42:29Speaker 9: What's going on?
- 42:30Speaker 1: Hey, you got it for 29. Congratulations.
- 42:32Speaker 4: I appreciate it.
- 42:35Speaker 1: What's your name, man?
- 42:36Speaker 2: Alex.
- 42:37Speaker 1: All right, Alex, you can get your four tickets to
- 42:40Speaker 1: the fair, okay?
- 42:40Speaker 2: All right, thank you.
- 42:41Speaker 1: All right, so let's see. We got more tickets coming up.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I'll get you some.
- 42:45Speaker 2: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Hey, good morning, Rome. 49er Lou, can I get some
- 42:51Speaker 1: Kern County tickets for me and the family? Thank you
- 42:56Speaker 1: in advance. Go Niners. Well, you got to keep listening.
- 42:59Speaker 1: I got more coming up. I should if I remember.
- 43:02Speaker 1: I got more tickets on the way. It's on the 4.1.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I got to tell you about this. Now, I have
- 43:08Speaker 1: a friend who is going back to Alabama. He's going
- 43:13Speaker 1: back to Bama, maybe Birmingham. For a wedding, right? And
- 43:18Speaker 1: he tells me this. He goes, yeah, he was telling
- 43:19Speaker 1: about how he's going back. His cousin's getting married. And,
- 43:22Speaker 1: you know, a little bit about the wedding. Oh, man,
- 43:24Speaker 1: that sounds like fun, right? Then he proceeds to tell
- 43:28Speaker 1: me yesterday. No, was it yesterday? I don't know. First
- 43:33Speaker 1: he tells me he's going back for this wedding. He says, oh,
- 43:36Speaker 1: by the way, we're going to the night before the wedding.
- 43:40Speaker 1: We're going to have the dinner. You know how you
- 43:41Speaker 1: have a dinner before the wedding? It's going to be
- 43:44Speaker 1: at the house. And it's a taco bar. I mean,
- 43:49Speaker 1: I don't know how you don't laugh at that, okay?
- 43:52Speaker 1: A taco bar. You're going all the way to Alabama
- 43:57Speaker 1: to eat some terrible taco. Ain't nobody ever made a
- 43:59Speaker 1: good Mexican dish in the Midwest or in backwards Bama, okay?
- 44:08Speaker 1: So you're going for a taco bar. So that was funny.
- 44:13Speaker 1: That was funny in itself. You know it's going to
- 44:16Speaker 1: be terrible. With all the good food and soul food
- 44:20Speaker 1: that is made in that area, you're going to have tacos, right? So, okay,
- 44:26Speaker 1: good luck. We're laughing about it. So he proceeds to
- 44:29Speaker 1: tell me this morning it gets even better. They said
- 44:33Speaker 1: we're going to have a Mexican taco bar. What's a
- 44:37Speaker 1: Mexican taco bar? Cilantro and onion. Ground beef. Cilantro and onion.
- 44:46Speaker 1: That's the Mexican taco bar. But they're also going to
- 44:48Speaker 1: have an American taco bar. How many of you can
- 44:52Speaker 1: guess what an American taco bar is in Bama? Cheese.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Ground beef tacos. If you want it Mexican style, you
- 45:04Speaker 1: get cilantro and onion. If you want it American style,
- 45:06Speaker 1: you get shredded cheese. Sounds like it's going to be
- 45:12Speaker 1: a great dinner before your wedding. I don't know who
- 45:18Speaker 1: came up with that idea, but, oh, that's a terrible idea.
- 45:23Speaker 1: It's funny, my boy's heading back to Bama. He's going
- 45:29Speaker 1: to his cousin's wedding. And the night before... the wedding,
- 45:37Speaker 1: they're having a taco bar. Which, right, we all know
- 45:39Speaker 1: that the taco guy shows up, you know, got some
- 45:42Speaker 1: carne asada, got some chicken, you got some El Pastor,
- 45:46Speaker 1: you got, I mean, you know what I'm saying? We
- 45:49Speaker 1: know what it's all about, but this taco bar is
- 45:52Speaker 1: going to consist, from what I found out, of Mexican tacos,
- 45:57Speaker 1: which is ground beef with cilantro and onion, or American tacos,
- 46:02Speaker 1: which is ground beef with cheese.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Uh, yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I hope my boy eats before he goes. Good morning, now.
- 46:11Speaker 1: What's going on? Good morning, now. What's going on?
- 46:13Speaker 2: Well, that's Alabama. What do you expect?
- 46:16Speaker 1: Well, that's my point. You don't go to Alabama to
- 46:21Speaker 1: get bad Mexican food.
- 46:22Speaker 2: It's Alabama.
- 46:24Speaker 6: Their version of Mexican food is Taco Bell. Oil Bell
- 46:27Speaker 6: going over there.
- 46:28Speaker 1: I mean, ground beef tacos. That's exactly what I expect,
- 46:34Speaker 1: but nobody can be... In today's modern world... How can
- 46:37Speaker 1: it be that bad? How can you be doing something
- 46:40Speaker 1: so ridiculous by calling Mexican tacos ground beef tacos with
- 46:46Speaker 1: cilantro and onion?
- 46:47Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:49Speaker 6: I want to see pictures of that. That's going to
- 46:51Speaker 6: be interesting.
- 46:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it is going to be interesting. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. I just
- 46:57Speaker 1: don't get it. I mean, with all the technology today,
- 47:05Speaker 1: everybody knows what Mexican street tacos are, right? But these
- 47:08Speaker 1: fools are going to make ground beef tacos. The Mexican
- 47:12Speaker 1: version has cilantro and onion. And they're probably going to
- 47:16Speaker 1: mess up the onion. That's what I need to see.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm with Raider Dave. I got to see the pictures too.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Because they're probably going to use yellow onion with their cilantro.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Because it's a little sweeter. But everybody knows the only
- 47:26Speaker 1: way to make a taco with cilantro and onion is
- 47:28Speaker 1: white onion. And the American taco is going to be
- 47:36Speaker 1: just cheese. And this is the night before their wedding.
- 47:41Speaker 1: This is their, I mean, you're in Alabama and you're
- 47:46Speaker 1: having tacos? That would be like going to, I don't know,
- 47:53Speaker 1: going to the Mojave Desert for fish. I mean, I
- 47:56Speaker 1: don't know what the analogy is, but my gosh, what
- 47:59Speaker 1: is wrong with these people? I don't even know what
- 48:03Speaker 1: kind of shells they're going to have. I hope they're
- 48:04Speaker 1: not buying those hard shells that you buy at the
- 48:07Speaker 1: grocery store that are already, you know, El Paso? Is
- 48:10Speaker 1: that what it is? R-D-4-D-5-4-7-7. A taco bar. Pre-wedding dinner.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Night before the wedding. So, yeah, my buddy, one of
- 48:24Speaker 1: my buddies is going back to Bama. He's from Alabama,
- 48:28Speaker 1: but he lives out in California now. Been out here forever.
- 48:31Speaker 1: But he's going back to his cousin's wedding. And they
- 48:36Speaker 1: have a taco bar, which I thought, the first, when
- 48:38Speaker 1: you hear taco bar in Bama, what do you think?
- 48:42Speaker 2: You know?
- 48:45Speaker 1: And I laughed at that. And then he goes, it
- 48:47Speaker 1: gets better. He told me the next day, he goes, yeah,
- 48:50Speaker 1: they're going to have a Mexican taco bar. And I said,
- 48:52Speaker 1: what's a Mexican taco bar? Like street tacos? Okay, maybe
- 48:54Speaker 1: they know what they're doing. No, cilantro and onion. On
- 48:59Speaker 1: ground beef? Yeah.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Wow. Wow.
- 49:03Speaker 1: So that's the Mexican taco bar. But they also have
- 49:05Speaker 1: American taco bar. For those of you that don't want
- 49:07Speaker 1: to eat Mexican, ground beef with shredded cheese. I didn't
- 49:12Speaker 1: even ask what the salsa was going to be. It
- 49:15Speaker 1: might be that paste picanha sauce, or it might be that,
- 49:19Speaker 1: what's that stuff in the jar? It might be Taco
- 49:21Speaker 1: Bell sauce. Taco Bell sauce. They sell that at the, maybe,
- 49:26Speaker 1: but yeah. You think things, bumpkins back in Bama, Alabama
- 49:31Speaker 1: know what they're doing when it comes to tacos?
- 49:33Speaker 10: No.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Why would you do that? Damn, Rome, is the bride
- 49:40Speaker 1: and groom brother and sister or cousins? No, they're not.
- 49:45Speaker 1: They might as well just get Taco Bell party packs
- 49:49Speaker 1: for everyone. But who puts cilantro and onion on a
- 49:56Speaker 1: ground beef taco? Now, I understand people eat ground beef tacos,
- 50:00Speaker 1: and I don't have a problem with that. But if
- 50:03Speaker 1: you're going to have a taco bar, you don't have
- 50:05Speaker 1: ground beef. You got to have some asada, maybe some chicken.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I mean, that's good. That's a good taco bar right there.
- 50:14Speaker 1: But to put cilantro and onion on a taco, on
- 50:18Speaker 1: a ground beef taco, and call it Mexican. And then
- 50:25Speaker 1: American is cheese. Oh, my gosh. I... But what do
- 50:28Speaker 1: you expect? I guess that's what you expect from them.
- 50:31Speaker 1: That's their idea of what a taco bar is in Alabama.
- 50:34Speaker 1: So my boy, he's going back to his cousin's wedding
- 50:37Speaker 1: back in Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama. And they're having a taco
- 50:42Speaker 1: bar the night before the wedding. Everybody coming to the house,
- 50:44Speaker 1: they're having a taco bar. But they're having a Mexican
- 50:46Speaker 1: taco bar, what I found out today. Mexican taco bar.
- 50:50Speaker 1: They're going to have cilantro and onion. American taco bar,
- 50:55Speaker 1: the American side is going to have cheese. And guess what?
- 50:58Speaker 1: It's ground beef tacos with the hard shells, I guess.
- 51:03Speaker 1: I think it's the rectangle hard shells. Is that what
- 51:07Speaker 1: that is? I think if I remember correctly, like he
- 51:09Speaker 1: got in school, I think is what he said.
- 51:10Speaker 2: All right. Good morning.
- 51:12Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 51:13Speaker 12: Hey, I don't even know what it was you were
- 51:15Speaker 12: talking about.
- 51:15Speaker 16: So you don't have to play it. This was just
- 51:16Speaker 16: for you.
- 51:17Speaker 4: But I'm dead.
- 51:18Speaker 16: Literally laughed outside in my car out loud when you
- 51:21Speaker 16: said go to the Mojave Desert.
- 51:26Speaker 1: That's what it's like. That's exactly what it's like. I mean....
- 51:33Speaker 12: Whatever the analogy was with the taco bar, I'm never
- 51:35Speaker 12: mad at a taco bar, and I'm with you on that,
- 51:37Speaker 12: who don't love street tacos. But Mojave Desert to get this,
- 51:41Speaker 12: I'm literally dying in my car.
- 51:43Speaker 16: Thank you so much for the good luck this morning.
- 51:45Speaker 1: All right, well, thanks.
- 51:46Speaker 7: Bye.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Bye. That's hilarious. Yeah, I mean.
- 51:57Speaker 1: A taco bar. They're having a taco. Alabama. Well, boy's
- 52:00Speaker 1: going back to Alabama for a taco bar the night
- 52:04Speaker 1: before his cousin's wedding. They're having it at the house.
- 52:07Speaker 1: This is how he broke it down to me. Ground
- 52:10Speaker 1: beef tacos. I don't know what kind of shells. I'm
- 52:13Speaker 1: guessing the ones that you buy at the store, they're
- 52:15Speaker 1: already hard shells. And he told them it's going to
- 52:19Speaker 1: be Mexican style. If you want Mexican style, you get
- 52:21Speaker 1: cilantro and onion. If you want American style, you get cheese.
- 52:27Speaker 1: That's why I said that. That's like going to the
- 52:28Speaker 1: Mojave Desert for some fish. You don't go back to
- 52:31Speaker 1: Alabama to get tacos. You don't go anywhere to the Midwest.
- 52:36Speaker 1: You don't go anywhere to the South to get tacos.
- 52:41Speaker 1: You don't get no Mexican food. But, yeah. But my
- 52:46Speaker 1: boy's cool. He said he's going to eat at Waffle
- 52:48Speaker 1: House before he goes. Good morning, Hal. What's going on?
- 52:51Speaker 9: Yo, Rome.
- 52:52Speaker 1: What up, man?
- 52:53Speaker 4: What are they going to have for dessert?
- 52:55Speaker 9: Deep fried Twinkies with cinnamon and call it churros.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Yo so my boy he's going back to his cousin's
- 53:04Speaker 1: wedding back in Alabama Birmingham Alabama and they're having a
- 53:08Speaker 1: taco bar the night before the wedding everybody coming to
- 53:11Speaker 1: the house they're having a taco bar but they're having
- 53:13Speaker 1: a Mexican taco bar what I found out today Mexican
- 53:16Speaker 1: taco bar it's they're going to have cilantro and onion
- 53:21Speaker 1: American taco bar the American side is going to have
- 53:23Speaker 1: cheese and guess what It's ground beef tacos with the
- 53:29Speaker 1: hard shells, I guess. I think it's the rectangle hard shells.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Is that what that is, I think, if I remember correctly?
- 53:36Speaker 1: Like he got in school, I think, is what he said.
- 53:38Speaker 1: All right, good morning, Al. What's going on?
- 53:40Speaker 8: Romeo, they're going to smother them tacos in paste picotti sauce.
- 53:47Speaker 4: That's the right name, doesn't it?
- 53:50Speaker 1: Or ketchup with barbecue mixed in.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Hell, yeah.
- 53:57Speaker 7: All right, buddy.
- 53:58Speaker 1: All right, later. Good morning. My boy.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Man.
- 54:06Speaker 1: I hope you didn't tell your cousin to listen.
- 54:08Speaker 14: Man, I tell him I've got to go over there
- 54:11Speaker 14: and show him how to actually do it, but I'm
- 54:13Speaker 14: not because it's not my job. It's like I said,
- 54:17Speaker 14: I'm eating Waffle House before we get there. So I'm
- 54:20Speaker 14: expecting the worst and praying for the best, I guess.
- 54:25Speaker 14: And my wife was like, really?
- 54:26Speaker 2: That's what they're doing? I was like, yeah, babe. I
- 54:28Speaker 2: was like, I don't know what to tell you.
- 54:30Speaker 3: I said, they might try to put you in the kitchen.
- 54:32Speaker 1: She's like, I'm not going for that.
- 54:35Speaker 2: It's going to be hilarious. Nothing else I think is
- 54:38Speaker 2: going to be hilarious. It's going to be the rectangle
- 54:40Speaker 2: taco shells like we used.
- 54:42Speaker 4: To get when we were in school.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Oh, it is?
- 54:44Speaker 1: The pre-made ones?
- 54:46Speaker 2: The pre-made ones, yeah. With, you know, no deep fries.
- 54:48Speaker 1: It's going to be cold. It's going to.
- 54:51Speaker 14: Be soggy from the taco meat, from all.
- 54:52Speaker 2: The grease and all that. It's going to be.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Well, as long as they use that taco seasoning packet,
- 54:58Speaker 1: I guess you'll be good with the grumpy.
- 55:01Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 55:01Speaker 14: I mean, my cousin that's hosting.
- 55:04Speaker 4: He makes good money, so I don't know why he's
- 55:06Speaker 4: doing it, but he said it's his wife's idea.
- 55:07Speaker 14: I was like, you might want to stop listening to her.
- 55:10Speaker 2: This is a very bad idea.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Well, at least they're looking out for both the Mexican
- 55:15Speaker 1: and the American.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I guess, but there's only going to be one Mexican there,
- 55:19Speaker 2: and that's going.
- 55:19Speaker 1: To be my wife. Well, maybe they're looking out for her.
- 55:24Speaker 2: You said it right. Soul food would have been better.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Soul food with a fried chicken.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Something would have been better.
- 55:30Speaker 6: We could have did a fish fry.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Fish fry. Yeah, there you go. Fish fry, fried chicken,
- 55:34Speaker 1: maybe some ribs.
- 55:36Speaker 11: Yeah, something.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Something other than what they're suggesting. So, let's believe I
- 55:41Speaker 2: will be sending you pictures, and I'll talk about it
- 55:43Speaker 2: on Monday when I get back.
- 55:44Speaker 1: All right. Like I said, my boys go to a
- 55:51Speaker 1: taco bar in Bama. Oh, man. What are they going
- 55:58Speaker 1: to use as a sauce? Probably ketchup.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Hey, what's up, Rome?
- 56:02Speaker 3: Hey, Ruben.
- 56:03Speaker 2: What up, man? Man, I know my boy Arnold not
- 56:05Speaker 2: trying to clown on his cousins when he's over here
- 56:07Speaker 2: getting food catered. And you forgot about that, huh, Rome?
- 56:14Speaker 1: I did forget about that.
- 56:16Speaker 4: Hey, dude, we're talking all that papa.
- 56:18Speaker 2: You know why they're dating. That's his cousin, bro. They're related.
- 56:21Speaker 2: They run from the blood.
- 56:22Speaker 1: I forgot he got that barbecue catered with his boy
- 56:28Speaker 1: for boot camp.
- 56:30Speaker 10: Sorry, bro.
- 56:33Speaker 4: I didn't mean to call you out like that.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I don't know if that's the same thing, though. The
- 56:39Speaker 1: barbecue was good. Bro, and Eddie.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Said, you know, they're going to throw his wife in
- 56:47Speaker 2: the kitchen. Well, man, you know she's going to be
- 56:49Speaker 2: in the kitchen if she's only Mexican there.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 56:53Speaker 2: It's the only one that's going to make the food
- 56:54Speaker 2: taste even better.
- 56:56Speaker 1: That's hilarious, man. I forgot. I forgot Arnold did that.
- 56:59Speaker 1: But that's different. It was still good barbecue. It's just
- 57:04Speaker 1: what he did. He just didn't cook.
- 57:07Speaker 10: It.
- 57:09Speaker 1: So my boy, he's going back to his cousin's wedding
- 57:12Speaker 1: back in Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama. And they're having a taco
- 57:16Speaker 1: bar the night before the wedding. Everybody coming to the house,
- 57:19Speaker 1: they're having a taco bar. But they're having a Mexican
- 57:21Speaker 1: taco bar when I found out today. Mexican taco bar. Um, it's, uh,
- 57:26Speaker 1: they got cilantro and onion, American taco bar. The American
- 57:30Speaker 1: side is going to have cheese. And guess what? It's
- 57:34Speaker 1: ground beef tacos with the hard shells, I guess. I
- 57:38Speaker 1: think it's the, the, the, the rectangle hard shells. Is
- 57:41Speaker 1: that what that is? I think if I remember correctly,
- 57:43Speaker 1: like he got in school, I think is what he said.
- 57:46Speaker 2: All right.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Good morning. What's going on?
- 57:47Speaker 2: What's up, Rome? This is Seahawk Lou.
- 57:49Speaker 1: What up, Lou? I found somebody who makes worse tacos
- 57:52Speaker 1: than you, boy. I think I'd rather eat your brief
- 58:04Speaker 1: jerky carne asada than some. ground beef tacos with cilantro
- 58:09Speaker 1: and onion on them.
- 58:11Speaker 8: Those are not Mexican tacos.
- 58:13Speaker 4: That's called Taco Bell at Home.
- 58:15Speaker 10: I made it yesterday, too, for the kids.
- 58:21Speaker 1: You made ground beef tacos yesterday? Yep.
- 58:24Speaker 5: I called it Taco Bell at Home.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Where did you get it? What kind of shells did
- 58:28Speaker 1: you use?
- 58:30Speaker 8: I used the Taco Bell ones.
- 58:31Speaker 2: They sell it all.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 58:33Speaker 9: You didn't even fry your own shells?
- 58:37Speaker 7: No, that takes forever, bro.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Well, it sounds like you should go back to the
- 58:43Speaker 1: wedding in Alabama with my buddy.
- 58:45Speaker 2: I'll fit right in, bro. Hey, if they want me to,
- 58:49Speaker 2: they can fly.
- 58:49Speaker 6: Me out there and I'll barbecue for them.
- 58:51Speaker 2: I'll do some real tacos. It'll be amazing in Alabama.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Oh, my God. That's hilarious. Of course you did.
- 59:00Speaker 2: They will love me over there.
- 59:02Speaker 1: Dang, Lou, you really are. You're trying to get to
- 59:04Speaker 1: be number one dumbass, aren't you? You don't like that
- 59:07Speaker 1: you lost your spot, huh?
- 59:09Speaker 10: Damn.
- 59:13Speaker 9: I was never there, Rome.
- 59:14Speaker 4: I was never the number one.
- 59:16Speaker 1: That's hilarious. All right, get out of here. All right then, Rome.
- 59:22Speaker 1: So apparently Lou made it last night. in wasco so
- 59:28Speaker 1: maybe they do know what they're doing back in alabama
- 59:32Speaker 1: hey rome so it's ground beef with taco pack seasoning
- 59:37Speaker 1: on the meat they will have lettuce and tomatoes with
- 59:41Speaker 1: cheese and la victoria green and red sauce option of
- 59:46Speaker 1: both flour and corn tortillas that's how they make them
- 59:50Speaker 1: back in the back in the south that's tacos in
- 59:52Speaker 1: the south um Well, yeah, but you got to remember now,
- 59:56Speaker 1: they're going to have a Mexican version, too, where you
- 59:59Speaker 1: get cilantro and onion. Oh, my gosh, that's crazy. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Romeo,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I know a lot of tacos, a lot of people
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: who migrated to Alabama and Chicago, so you never know,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: tacos might be bomb, but hamburger meat taco is common amongst.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: White folks. Well, okay. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. I will say this, though.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: They're not white. And I will say about the, I
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: have never heard one person in the South who knows
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: good Mexican food say that it was good. So I'm
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: going to tell you right now, it's not going to
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: be good. I'm going to tell you what happens in
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the South, and you correct me. I got two guys
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: that are talking to me right now. My personal text
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: messages that are from the South is that this. You
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: go to the South, your food, if you take the
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Mexican legitimate street taco to the South, they're going to
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: tell you it sucks. So you're going to change to
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Southern cooking before you change their ways of eating.
- 1:01:18Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: A friend of mine, a buddy of mine is going
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: back to his cousin's wedding in Alabama, and he says
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: they're going to have a taco bar. And he was
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: telling me that the taco bar is ground beef tacos
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: in those hard shells, you know, that you buy at
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: the store. And they're going to have either cilantro and
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: onion if you want a Mexican style, or they're going
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: to have cheese if you want an American style. Alabama.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: You're going to have a taco bar in Alabama. Alabama.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Good morning, y'all. What's going on?
- 1:01:46Speaker 16: Hey, Romeo. I was just listening to what you were
- 1:01:49Speaker 16: saying about the hamburger meat tacos.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:53Speaker 16: Okay, so those are the black people tacos.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: That's what my buddy just said. James just sent me that.
- 1:01:59Speaker 16: Yeah, we take the... Corn tortilla, we fry it, make
- 1:02:02Speaker 16: it crispy, put the cheese, the lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, onions,
- 1:02:07Speaker 16: and it's fire. I grew up on that, but that's
- 1:02:09Speaker 16: black people tacos.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: But they ain't even make, they're buying the taco shells.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: They're not frying them.
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: No, no, I ain't buying no taco shells.
- 1:02:17Speaker 12: Those are nasty.
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: I have to make my own.
- 1:02:18Speaker 12: We make our own.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious. That's so funny. Oh, my God. Lettuce, cheese, tomato, huh?
- 1:02:26Speaker 16: Yeah, onions, you can put cilantro, everything, but.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: We don't fry the shell.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: A little La Victoria salsa on it, you're good to go.
- 1:02:33Speaker 16: Exactly, the La Victoria, the red one.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: And what is it?
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Is it Lowry's seasoning? What is that taco pack? I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: don't even know what it is. No, I don't really
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: use Lowry's.
- 1:02:42Speaker 16: I use McCormick's taco pack.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Oh, McCormick's, that's what it is, McCormick's.
- 1:02:46Speaker 16: Yeah, I use McCormick's. I ain't going to go that
- 1:02:50Speaker 16: deep in the trenches. The Lowry's is old school.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: That's great. You ever put cilantro and onion on it?
- 1:02:56Speaker 16: Yeah, I put everything on mine.
- 1:02:57Speaker 11: I load it up.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Oh, man, that is so funny. Some people put.
- 1:03:01Speaker 16: Ketchup, but I can't do that.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Hey, thanks for calling. I appreciate it. Thank you, Romeo. Damn,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: so that's how they do it back in Alabama. Let's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: see where we at here. Yo, Rome, I'm still listening
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: away from the East Coast, big R. Okay, thank you. Hey,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: good morning, Romeo. It's my son's 10th birthday. Can you
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: say happy birthday? Give Anthony a birthday shout out. Well,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: happy birthday, Anthony.
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Let's see what else we got here. Hey, Rome, I
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: kind of want to try it. We'll make it tonight
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: for dinner. Go get you some ground beef. Get you
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: some of those hard taco shells they sell at the store.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Get you some cilantro and white onion. And get you
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: some cheese, and then you can try it, either Mexican
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: style or American style. Hey, you have a cheese fan,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: don't forget the chicken nuggets for the kids at the
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: wedding party. I thought you were going to say they
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: were going to cut up the chicken nuggets in case
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you wanted chicken tacos. What's going on?
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: Good morning, Romeo.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Hey, what's up?
- 1:04:17Speaker 12: I was trying to catch you before I went in
- 1:04:18Speaker 12: the store. But that sounds most definitely like whoever that
- 1:04:22Speaker 12: was that called.
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: In about the tacos.
- 1:04:25Speaker 12: He sounds a little melanated.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: Those are definitely black folks tacos.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I don't know about the hard chill, but.
- 1:04:32Speaker 12: Those are definitely black folks tacos. And, you know, all
- 1:04:38Speaker 12: these years later, well, I'll say about 20 years ago, oh,
- 1:04:42Speaker 12: we weren't eating carne asada tacos and stuff. I mean,
- 1:04:45Speaker 12: maybe late night when we used to go out, but
- 1:04:48Speaker 12: most of the time for little functions and stuff, for
- 1:04:50Speaker 12: little parties. Oh, we used to go get those 99-cent
- 1:04:53Speaker 12: store little round plastic things where you could put, like,
- 1:04:57Speaker 12: all the condiments on there, like tomatoes, red onions, cilantro,
- 1:05:03Speaker 12: green onions, you name it, cheese. And then you have
- 1:05:07Speaker 12: your sour cream, the paste picante sauce. I forgot about
- 1:05:13Speaker 12: sour cream. We might be, we'd have the ground beef tacos,
- 1:05:17Speaker 12: but we might even be a little bit, try to
- 1:05:20Speaker 12: put a little flair to them. I have some shredded
- 1:05:22Speaker 12: chicken on the side.
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: And you go through.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: There and make your lunch.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: That was a taco bar.
- 1:05:28Speaker 12: And that was like.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Top tier type stuff. That is so funny.
- 1:05:32Speaker 12: But now you talk about ground beef is, man, we
- 1:05:38Speaker 12: still make black people tacos. They'll tell you they want
- 1:05:43Speaker 12: a little greasy taco with a fried chill, you know,
- 1:05:48Speaker 12: fried just right.
- 1:05:49Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I mean, don't get me wrong. I grew up on them, too,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: but we fried our shell. My grandma actually fried them
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: like they fry them at Jack in the Box. She
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: put the meat in it and then fried the shell.
- 1:06:02Speaker 12: Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: No, we don't do all that.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: I just got to say, the night before, when he
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: said Mexican style, it cracked me up.
- 1:06:12Speaker 12: Yeah, not the wedding party.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious.
- 1:06:17Speaker 12: You got to look at where you're going. You're going
- 1:06:19Speaker 12: to Alabama, folks. You know, they're about 20 years behind us.
- 1:06:23Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: That's funny. Wow. Oh, my gosh. That's great. Well, we'll
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: get pictures. When he sends me pictures, I'll send you
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: guys pictures.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:06:35Speaker 12: Tell him to enjoy the Black People Taco.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: All right. Get out of here.
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: Bye.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Oh, my God, that is hilarious. All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Rome,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: I agree. When I heard Alabama simple ground beef tacos
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: was with option cheese as condiments, possibly unflavored pico de gallo. Oh,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: I guarantee you they're going to be using that La Victoria,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: the squeeze bottle, or they're going to be using ketchup.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: What'd you send me here about my taco bar? Remember,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: not my taco bar, but my friend's going back. His
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: cousin's getting married in Alabama, where they live, and apparently
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: the night before the wedding, they're having a taco bar.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: But it's ground beef tacos, and if you want a
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Mexican style, you get cilantro and onion. If you want
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: American style, you get cheese, probably lettuce and tomato.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: Good morning, Al.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: Pardon me, Al.
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: On behalf of Mexican Tacos Everywhere, we find that as
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: an insult. And to be frank with you, we do
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: not even claim ground beef as Mexican tacos.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: They're American tacos. Okay.
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: So change your wording to American tacos.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah, American tacos. No, their wording is if you
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: want a Mexican taco style, you get cilantro and onion.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: You want an American taco, you get cheese, okay?
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Hey, Ro, my sister-in-law moved to Tennessee in her first potluck.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Other women made tacos. Hamburger meat with flour tortillas that
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: were uncooked. Oh, my God. We didn't even ask Arnold
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: if they were going to have a flour tortilla option.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Get you a soft taco at Taco Bell. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: That is so funny. Hey, good morning, Romeo. Hey, I
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: guarantee you everybody at that wedding party pronounces jalapenos the
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: same way this girl does. You have to listen to
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: it on how she pronounces jalapenos. Jalapenos, she's definitely from
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: the Midwest. This is, FYI, this is a local military-owned
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: product from Bakersfield. Oh, you sent me a video. My bad,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: let me see the video. Yep, that's exactly as he
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: said it.
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: Jalapenos.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Good morning, now. What's going on?
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Hey, what's up, Rome?
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Hey, what up, Rome?
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Man, Rome, I guess ours are considered Mexican tacos because
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: we add potato. We do the same thing, but we
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: fry our tortillas. They're corn tortillas all the time. No flour.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Got to be corn fried. And we, you know, ground beef,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: and then we chop up potatoes in little squares and
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: put the potatoes in it. And we don't use, you
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: know what I mean? And we use tapatio. So I
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: guess ours are Mexican tacos.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: But, yeah, try it like that, guys. Add the potatoes
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: into it. And I'm telling you, it's going to be
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: a completely different kind of ground beef taco. All right. Hey, Rome,
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: that's what we grew up on, bro. Times were tough,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: and ground beef was cheap, and potatoes were free. I know.
- 1:09:48Speaker 10: I know.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: So, but it's a bomb taco that I ain't going
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: to lie. We still eat it to this day and
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: my kids love it.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: That's funny. All right.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Later, bro.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: All right. Four, two, five, four, seven. My boy Arnold
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: is actually going to the wedding. He said, oh, he
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: said black people talk. He sent me a text saying, hey, Arnold,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: let me know if they have a vegan option and
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: they just have a can of refried beans there. Okay.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Are you, are they having a vegan option? Who makes
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: the refried beans? I haven't bought a can of refried
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: beans in, I don't know, 40 years. But yeah, let
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: me know if they got a vegan option. Rd425477. Let's see. Hey, Romeo,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: what do you got here? Are you doing Boogeyman for
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Fright Fest? I think so, yeah. Hey, Rome, who cares?
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Who cares that they're eating? It's not your beef. What?
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I don't understand that. I just thought it was funny
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: when they said a taco bar. I thought, you do
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: not equate Alabama and taco bar together. Those don't go
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: in the same sentence. But then to say when he
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: told me it was Mexican style with cilantro and onion
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: and American style with cheese. You can't make that stuff. Yeah.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: But yeah. All right. That's just funny.
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: It's Romeo.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Good morning, Nott. What's going on?
- 1:11:20Speaker 10: What's up, Romeo?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: Raider Rob here.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: What up, Rob?
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: What's up, man?
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: Hey, don't sound like my lazy taco, because.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: I like to do that.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: I like to get the ground beef, make my own
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: taco shells with some cheese, sour cream, paste with carne sauce,
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: and call it a night, brother. What is wrong with you, Rob? Hey,
- 1:11:44Speaker 6: when I want them fast and I don't want to
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: wait for the asada to be all grilled up and
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: marinated and all that, yeah, I'll go straight.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: To the ground beef, get that 30%.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: First of all, Rob, hold on. Rob, I've been fighting
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: with all the regular listeners lately. I'm going to have
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: to fight with you. Asada take no time to cook, bro.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: You throw a little seasoning on it and you throw
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: it on the grill. It takes two minutes.
- 1:12:08Speaker 12: Yeah, but then I got to put the grill, get
- 1:12:10Speaker 12: it out, clean it, put it back.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: First of all, no.
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: You're right, though.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: You're right. Lately, I've been.
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: Cleaning it like you said.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: When I put it away, I clean it.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: So that way, it's ready to go.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: But, man.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: And you know you don't want to clean that grill.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: You don't want to clean that seasoning off that grill.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: What's wrong with you?
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: Hey, when I cook all that fish on there, I
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: got it.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: It's going to leave a bad aftertaste, brother. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Right about that. All right, Rob. I think we've all
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: had ground beef tacos before, but the funny thing that
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: got me was I just, a taco bar in Alabama
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: do not go in the same sentence.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: It might if you got the right pecan sauce and
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: sour cream, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Gosh, all right, Rob, get out of here. What is
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: wrong with you guys? And then to say cilantro and
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: onion on ground beef sounds horrible. Cheese, lettuce, and tomato,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: sour cream, okay. Paste pecan sauce. But Salad throwing onion
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: on ground beef does not sound good. I'm trying to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: picture when the last time I've done that or if
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I have. Yeah, I can't. I can't. Well, we'll have
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: to see when we get the pictures. My boy Arnold
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: will send me the photos at the taco bar on
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Friday night. Um, I think it's Friday. Yeah, Friday. We'll
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: see what it looks like. It might be delicious and
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: bomb and everything else, but we'll find out. We'll find out. Damn,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: what's Seahawk Lou? Damn, Rome, the only thing Seahawk Lou
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: has left is just a juice box drinker because he's
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: no longer the biggest dumbass in Kern County. He's also
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: no longer the worst cook. Well, I mean.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Lou is a terrible cook.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: How's it going on?
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: Hey, what's up, Ron?
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: Seahawk Lou.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: What up, Lou?
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: Hey, I sent you a picture of exactly all the
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: ingredients you need, man, to make those American tacos.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: And I want to ask.
- 1:14:17Speaker 8: Ruben, what made him think of throwing potatoes into those tacos?
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: That sounds really good, though.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: That's a Mexican thing. They've been doing that for decades.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: My grandma used to do it. I don't know why
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Mexicans throw potatoes in their tacos.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: I have never done that before.
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: That's crazy. I got to try it, though, for sure.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Wasco is about 14 decades behind everybody, so, yeah. It's
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: not that bad. All right, Luke. Yeah, what's going on?
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Romeo, what it do, my man?
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: What up, brother? What's going on?
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: So, you know, it's more than a flavor to tacos.
- 1:14:54Speaker 8: It's a style of tacos, too.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: You ever heard of a Barbie taco?
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: No.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: What's that?
- 1:15:02Speaker 11: That's basically like the Taco Bell tacos you make at
- 1:15:04Speaker 11: home with the ground.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: Beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a hard shell. Okay.
- 1:15:10Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, that's what we call them.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: We call them barbie tacos.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Is it a hard shell that you buy at the store,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: or do you fry it in oil and make your
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: own hard shell?
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: No, you buy it at the store, man. It's as
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: generic as it can be.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: A barbie taco. Yeah, there you go.
- 1:15:29Speaker 11: I eat about ten of them, man. I eat about
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: ten of them.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: What kind of sauce you put on it?
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: Taco Bell sausage you buy at Albertson's?
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Oh, you crazy fool. Let's tell you what it is, man.
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: That's what it is.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: That's hilarious, man.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Get out of here. Oh, man. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Good morning, Romeo and Abra. The refied bean. checking in,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Taco Bell Mexican Pizza sounds fire. Any good taco bar
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: places out in Bakersfield? I don't know. They don't even
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: have a taco bar anymore, do they? Yeah, that was
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: on the reservation. We had one family that was vegetarians,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: and that's how their tacos were, refried beans. Gosh, I
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: can picture the can. You guys all know what can
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Well, yeah, get you a can of
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: refried greens and taco shells. You good. You got vegetarian tacos. Hey, Rome,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the funny part is all the fam in Alabama probably
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: so excited for some authentic Mexican tacos, and they're going
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: to love it. They just don't know. Well, what they
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: don't just don't know is my boy Arnold's coming from
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Cali with his Mexican wife. It's about to be on. Okay,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: good morning, Ro. Is his cousin marrying Bobby Boucher's mother
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: from Waterboy? No, no, no, no. Yeah, that's funny. The
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: taco bar in Alabama. Good morning, now. What's going on?
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: I got another one for you.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Okay, what?
- 1:17:19Speaker 16: Cowboy tacos.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I've heard of cowboy beans, but not cowboy tacos.
- 1:17:25Speaker 12: Cowboy tacos.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: So you put barbecue sauce on it with the black
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: beans and corn and some Fritos.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Wait, in ground beef?
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Ground beef or chicken.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: And you put it in a tortilla?
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: That sounds awful.
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: It's actually really good.
- 1:17:47Speaker 16: I don't make it often, but we have.
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: That along with our Barbie tacos. We'll have different taco nights.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Barbie tacos.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: The Barbie tacos.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: You've got to try that.
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: It's so generic, but it hits.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: Like my husband said, he eats like 10 of them.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: He's not lying.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but he eats a lot. I don't know.
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: See.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Rob's like my tia. My tia is a great cook,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: but she will literally eat the worst stuff and the
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: best stuff and say how great both of them are.
- 1:18:27Speaker 12: That's my mom.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: All right, all right. Get out of here later. These guys.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: I don't know about no cowboy tacos, but okay. All right,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: where are we at here? Romeo, ground beef put in
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: tacos is honestly a disgrace to tacos. Well, here's the
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: thing about it, and I'm going to say it like this.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Ground beef used to be cheap. You got to look at, man,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: when you pour, and I know because my mom would
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: make up some stuff that you never even thought because
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: we was poor. She would figure it out. So you
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: can't really go that far about it. Seahawk Lou literally
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: sent me a picture of what he made his kids
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: last night as far as tacos go. Taco Bell crunchy
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: taco shells he bought at the store. He got some
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: flour tortillas. some cheese, some Taco Bell taco sauce out
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: of a jar, and lettuce. Siakalu, man. Siakalu never disappoints.
- 1:19:36Speaker 10: Romeo, Romeo, Romeo.
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: What's up?
- 1:19:39Speaker 15: I don't understand.
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: Yesterday, everybody was complaining and upset about the gentleman paying
- 1:19:46Speaker 10: for the child, right?
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:19:50Speaker 10: And today, everybody's complaining about a free meal at a wedding.
- 1:19:54Speaker 12: What is wrong with you guys?
- 1:19:57Speaker 10: You know, first of all, first of all, for and most,
- 1:20:01Speaker 10: that I don't understand is.
- 1:20:04Speaker 16: It's about the wedding, the couple.
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: It's not about the food, right?
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Well, it's not because I asked.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Well, it is.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: I did ask my buddy, and he just sent me
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: a text. How can you call it a taco bar
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: if there's only one choice of meat?
- 1:20:22Speaker 10: Anyway. But you know what? Look at it this way.
- 1:20:24Speaker 10: Isn't beef a delicacy? Look how pricey it is.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: You are not lying.
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:20:33Speaker 10: I mean, it's gone half of my day.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: I don't know. It just was funny to me. But
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: you also have to understand, my boy, my buddy hasn't
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: lived in Alabama in 20 years. He's been out. He
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: joined the military. He's been gone probably longer than that now. So,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: you know, he lives in California now. We take our
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: tacos seriously in California.
- 1:20:55Speaker 10: Yeah, it's a lot different in other states, I'll tell
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: you that. Exactly. But, you know, my point is, why
- 1:21:01Speaker 10: are we complaining so much about everything nowadays? I mean,
- 1:21:05Speaker 10: like I said, yesterday was a different version than today.
- 1:21:08Speaker 10: Nobody's happy. It's all about the group.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Check this out.
- 1:21:12Speaker 10: If they were not to be invited to the wedding
- 1:21:14Speaker 10: and they went into a lope, they would be unhappy
- 1:21:16Speaker 10: with that, too.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right about that. You are right. You're absolutely right.
- 1:21:21Speaker 10: So just be happy that he's invited and they're being fit.
- 1:21:25Speaker 10: Because I've been to some weddings that you don't get nothing.
- 1:21:28Speaker 10: It's like, where's the reception?
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I've been to, I've been to, yeah, we got to
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: find out what the reception dinner is going to be.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: We haven't heard that yet. Yeah, you're right.
- 1:21:36Speaker 10: You mean that's not the reception?
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: No that's the pre-dinner before the day before the wedding.
- 1:21:41Speaker 10: Oh that's right that's right that's right.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: So yeah well you know.
- 1:21:45Speaker 10: It's all good it's just you make the best of
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: it right see what the wedding turns out to be
- 1:21:50Speaker 10: like because it's all about the the bride and the
- 1:21:52Speaker 10: groom um.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Yeah that's why everybody hates weddings.
- 1:21:56Speaker 10: Oh gosh right all right here he is All.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Right, well, thanks for calling, but you're right. We'll try
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: to be more up to date. I just thought it
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: was funny. All right, later.
- 1:22:05Speaker 10: Can you tell my boyfriend I'm right all the time, too?
- 1:22:08Speaker 8: All right, get out of here.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: All right, Rome. Hey, they're lucky they sell Taco Bell sauce,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: so they might be okay. I'm sure they'll be all right. Hey, Rome, Alabama,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: who knows? Those might be road and tacos. You're talking
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: about a little roadside taco, huh?
- 1:22:34Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Hey, Rome.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: Roadkill tacos in Alabama. Hey, Rome. Hey, Headbutt Raider here.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: And let me tell you, Mexican tacos, nothing like drinking
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: on the east side at the homie house and his
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: daughter breaks out with rice tacos at 2 a.m. So
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: a rice taco is deep fried corn tortilla with rice
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: in it. If you're lucky, it'll have fresh shredded yellow cheese.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: That's real Mexican taco. Uh-huh. Well, I had potato tacos before.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: That's bomb. Never had rice tacos. All right, what do
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: we got here? Rome, I like my ground beef tacos
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: with nacho cheese and hot Cheetos. Oh, my God. That
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: sounds terrible. Seahawk Lou needs to stop cooking. Yeah, Seahawk
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Lou could use a couple cooking classes. I'm just saying.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Let's see here. Where are we? Hey, Rome, give her
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: my number. She won't never have to worry again. What
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: are you talking about? I don't know what you're talking
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: about there. Hey, Rome, the reception dinner is going to
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: be Mexican nachos and American nachos. You want nachos with
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: cheese or chihuahua cheese? Yeah, I wonder what the reception
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: dinner is going to be. Yo, Rome, those ain't real
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Mexican tacos, but I noticed whatever you mix ground beef
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: with It'll always turn out good. Fair enough. Good morning, Alvin.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: What's up, Romeo?
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: Ready to rob again.
- 1:24:10Speaker 15: Oh, Rob.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: What's up?
- 1:24:12Speaker 9: Hey, as I was dropping off my daughter, she goes, Hey, Dad,
- 1:24:15Speaker 9: call Romeo and tell him about your fabulous tostadas you make.
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: My tostadas, I make those too. Lazy man sell. Everything's pre-made.
- 1:24:24Speaker 9: I get the traditional Rosarito can of beans, ground beans,
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: and I make that tostada with the shredded lettuce, cheese,
- 1:24:31Speaker 9: sour cream. And the famous taste of connoisseurs, and I'm
- 1:24:36Speaker 9: good to go. They love it, brother.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: What is wrong? Well, that's because they're dumb kids. What
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: is wrong with you, man?
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: Well, actually, they're Mexican and white, so yeah, they love it.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: Kids are dumb and impressionable. You don't know what you're doing.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Why are you feeding them that garbage, man? Make some
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: real Mexican. Oh, you could cook.
- 1:24:54Speaker 9: I know, but I like to enjoy it on the weekend,
- 1:24:57Speaker 9: but during the weekdays, it's all fast food stuff, like,
- 1:25:00Speaker 9: you know, traditional, which is real quick.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: Made, though.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: Oh, you just, you being lazy.
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Hey, but I bet you didn't have a quick made lunch,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: did you? Get out of here, Rob. Hey, Rob, I
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: try to do Taco Tuesday every week and do authentic, oh,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: I do either asada, al pastor, or chicken, but once
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: in a while I do ground beef ones with the lettuce, tomatoes,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: and cheese and fry the tortilla, but I don't even
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: know what to call them. When these kids ask, so
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I just say, I made Taco Bell tacos tonight. Never
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: have I ever put cilantro, though. My kids would probably
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: think I lost my mind. Cilantro and onion on ground
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: beef tacos. That's so weird. That's weird to me. What
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: was I going to say about your ground beef tacos, though? Lettuce, tomato,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: and cheese. What kind of sauce do you put on them?
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: La Victoria? What kind of sauce do you use? On
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: the ground beef ones. Oh, that's funny. Yo, Rome, nothing
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: can beat the fry bread Indian tacos.
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, nothing can beat that. Those are good. Depending on
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: what type of beans or, you know, what type of
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: stuff you put on top. Hey, Rome, ground beef tacos.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: Did they get Taco Bell to cater?
- 1:26:21Speaker 11: Maybe.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: Let's see here. Yo, Rome, I make the best Mexican food.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I make actual homemade bidia, the best you could taste,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: everything from scratch, and maintaining and marinating the night before
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: with some rice on the side. Nothing like that and
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: a couple of bidia quesadillas on the side with the
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: bidia consomme bomb. Okay, so congratulations, I guess. Good morning, Al.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: My girl won't even let me eat canned beans.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Yeah, canned beans are pretty disgusting. Those Rosarita canned beans
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: are pretty, yeah.
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: We boil the beans in the morning. By the time
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: I get off, the whole house smells like beans being boiled.
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: I'm like Rob. The only time I do ground beef
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: tacos is when I don't have time. And that's very rare.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: Carne asada don't take that long to cook. Rob's just
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: being lazy. Rob's just lazy.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: It takes five minutes.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: Exactly. Rob's just lazy.
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: Yeah, but I agree.
- 1:27:26Speaker 9: I agree.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: I guarantee you Rob didn't have no ground beef tacos
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: for lunch that day.
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: No, he probably got tri-chip sandwiches.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Feeding his kids.
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Feeding his tacos. You guys, you moms and dads be
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: doing your kids dirty like that. You out here over
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: having a big lunch. at a restaurant, nice place, and
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: all of a sudden your kid's got to eat canned beans.
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: Hey, not Raider Dave.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: It's in my lunch.
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: Top ramen and bologna.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Well, you got to let that go. Raider Dave's got
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: to let that jailhouse food go. Romeo in the morning.
- 1:28:01Speaker 10: Every morning.
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: 94.1.
