- 0:00Hey folks, editing Joey here. This is the second part of a
- 0:03two-part podcast so we haven't already this.
- 0:06You listen to the first part of the podcast from last week and
- 0:08when you done listen to that, come back here for the second
- 0:10part. Enjoy.
- 0:13Because I like I've always liked Mcmaca's hot cakes and
- 0:16McDonald's hot cakes. I do like hot cakes as well.
- 0:18I like the I like that wet butter that they give.
- 0:20You with the hot cakes, I can eat it by itself.
- 0:22You would yell at me. It's like the milk I.
- 0:24It's like the half and half milk stuff.
- 0:25That's amazing. He David drinks half and half
- 0:28it's. So good one time we were out to
- 0:31a restaurant somewhere a while ago.
- 0:33It was all up in Vegas for the first EDC you remember for some
- 0:36reason. Because all the all the as, if
- 0:37people were looking at me like I'm a crazier person and you
- 0:39kept taking them away from me, it was probably IHOP because it
- 0:41was one of those restaurants where like he just had the
- 0:44little tiny single serving containers of the half and half
- 0:47just sitting on the table. Sometimes.
- 0:49Did you have like, the syrup, half and half the sugar just at
- 0:52every table and he just kept drinking the little tiny little
- 0:58cups of half and have them thinking like that's not for you
- 1:00to drink it for like coffee? I kept dosing them because they
- 1:03were so nice. It was like it's a little cup
- 1:05and this is not, it's not for you to drink that.
- 1:07Mini cups of milk. You know this is autos for kids.
- 1:09They are? No, they're for coffee.
- 1:11But I mean, I don't drink coffee.
- 1:12So kind of have a coffee on the flights that you work.
- 1:16We use real milk, Australian. Oh, because I know it's American
- 1:18thing where they're like, oh, I'm like cream.
- 1:19You want coffee cream? I'm like it's milk.
- 1:21You know what? I mean the same thing.
- 1:23Half milk and half sugar, half cream.
- 1:25Half milk. Yes.
- 1:26Oh well, this makes sense. This is why it's amazing I've
- 1:28explained it to you before. This is why it's amazing.
- 1:30It's half milk, half. Cream.
- 1:32But do you have any in your fridge?
- 1:34No. But do you have it when you're
- 1:35outside? You didn't use that before you
- 1:38went. The only time where I drink
- 1:41coffee out and about is actually on a plane.
- 1:44So sometimes on a plane I might get coffee depending on like, if
- 1:49I'm trying to, like, adjust to the jet, like our time zone or
- 1:51whatever. Got it.
- 1:52And if I do order coffee, they'll always ask you about
- 1:55cream and sugar. And that's where I'll say, yeah,
- 1:57I'll do cream and sugar for that.
- 1:58I actually always forget. So out of our flights, out of
- 2:01America, they do normally load. No one ever knows about it.
- 2:04I've never known user oh insider secrets right here.
- 2:07Anyways, there actually is. A lot of the times in the
- 2:11business class cabin. A1 Little a bit. 300 mils.
- 2:17I don't know, A little bit like a small bottle.
- 2:20One small cotton of 1/2 and 1/2. It's purple.
- 2:23I think that's probably for the coffee, yeah.
- 2:26But because no one asks for it, no one knows about it, so that I
- 2:29use it for my hot chocolate. So The thing is, when you guys
- 2:34serve coffee to people on the plane, so they say like, oh, I
- 2:37have a some. A passenger says I'll have a
- 2:39coffee. And do you ask them, do you want
- 2:41Yes, milk, milk. You say milk, You don't say
- 2:44cream. No, no, Australians don't use
- 2:47that word for that one. So you you say milk, Do you want
- 2:49milk? Milk.
- 2:50Sugar. OK.
- 2:51And if they say they want milk, what do you give them?
- 2:53Another half and half. I'm gonna roll my eyes, but
- 2:55firstly, I'm not rolling up my eyes because of what you said.
- 2:58Yeah, genuinely. A lot.
- 3:00What happens a lot is just the inside tea right here do.
- 3:02You want coffee or tea inside? Tea.
- 3:04And it's like, OK, coffee. Am I OK black or do you want
- 3:07milk or just black? Please.
- 3:09So then I'd make the coffee. Oh, can I have some milk if
- 3:13yeah, so. But The thing is, here's the
- 3:15thing, yeah, I understand like that's annoying from like the
- 3:18the service point of view. It's like if you like, people
- 3:21should know how they want their coffee unless it's like some 16
- 3:25year old that's trying to order coffee for the first time
- 3:27because they think, oh it's so Add all blah blah, blah.
- 3:29Usually people that actually drink coffee, they'll be like
- 3:32milk and they'll they'll know how they want to take it.
- 3:36No, no, that's the problem. Is not how they want it.
- 3:38It's how they communicate, what they don't tell you everything
- 3:40right away. But we ask you for that reason
- 3:42like we're prompting you. And you get pumped.
- 3:45So if they change their mind or they.
- 3:46If you tell me it's a black, I want a black tea.
- 3:50OK, with no. How often does that happen?
- 3:52Like once every flight it is. That's a new, infuriating it is
- 3:56just, but that's clearly from someone that doesn't usually
- 3:59drink coffee or tea. Yeah but like the other 250
- 4:03passengers were like got it right.
- 4:04So bro just just let me just let me know just let us know we we
- 4:08we had to read your mind so we will prompt you for these things
- 4:10to make it almost fail safe and you find a way to hard to not
- 4:13roll your eyes when that. It's part of my job.
- 4:15I literally have my eye muscles. The wrinkles are from like
- 4:18resisting the eye roll. It is crazy because something
- 4:22else happens. Every single flight is somehow
- 4:24they step on a plane and just the IQ drops 200 points.
- 4:27Like there are people who do not know how to push a door open for
- 4:30the for the laboratory. I've seen that every year that
- 4:34that I kind of understand a little bit, a little bit.
- 4:36That's a frequent fire. But not as someone who works a
- 4:39fight. But as like, I've seen enough
- 4:41because I think people for someone who rarely ever flies
- 4:48and a lot of people don't read signs, like that's just a truth
- 4:52that's just like a general truth not, not specific to like flying
- 4:56on a plane just in everyday life.
- 4:57A lot of people don't. That's that's a whole other kind
- 5:01of worms. And there's like a lot of
- 5:02psychological other reasons for it that we don't have time to
- 5:05unpack and we're not scientists but people don't tend to always
- 5:09see the sign that says push. The letters push is gigantic, I
- 5:13know, but I see it and I'm used to flying.
- 5:16And the vast majority of doors, bathroom doors on aircraft are
- 5:21you push. Yep.
- 5:22With the giant hands on that says Push.
- 5:24Yeah, it is, Yeah. But The thing is, people are not
- 5:26expecting a push door for people that don't fly very often.
- 5:31Yeah. And they expect it's the type of
- 5:34door that folds in half. But if you push it into fold,
- 5:37which is not the type of door you encounter in the normal
- 5:40world. So the people that don't really
- 5:41fly, ever, they're not used to that type of a door for one.
- 5:45And most people don't tend to see any signage #2.
- 5:49It also could be that they go into the bathroom when the
- 5:51lights are dimmed down, so that makes it even harder for them to
- 5:54see it. I'm not saying I'm kind of start
- 5:57making excuses. You are making a million excuses
- 5:59I know, but I can understand how someone who doesn't fly and the
- 6:03cabin is dim and most people are not reading signs.
- 6:06That's why they like but eventually they do figure it out
- 6:09for like 5 or 10 seconds. They were like fighting with the
- 6:11door, But usually when I see that on a plane, they eventually
- 6:15fire with test sense. Later they try to like, pull the
- 6:17door and they're like it doesn't pull and they look at it and
- 6:20then eventually they do figure out you have to push.
- 6:22Well, The thing is, if I'm like close, I will like let them have
- 6:27their own the full gamut of emotions as they're like, trying
- 6:30to. I think they should just figure
- 6:31out how to do it and. They look at you or or I'll wait
- 6:34until I'm just standing there. I mean, I could at any point
- 6:37stop this, but I'm just like, no.
- 6:38But if they figure it out themselves, they learn the
- 6:40lesson. It's like, oh, they figured it
- 6:42out themselves. They learned something.
- 6:43Yeah. So some of them I'm just, yeah.
- 6:45I leave it to maybe 12 seconds and I'm like, Oh yeah, just just
- 6:47like a normal door just push and that's enough as a prompt
- 6:50somehow to figure it out even though they couldn't figure it
- 6:52out earlier. I have had people like try to
- 6:54open the little no smoking thing and they're just like I've had
- 6:56people trying to like open small cupboards like little like the
- 6:59you can see the outline of this and they're like try, I'm like
- 7:03what the hell. We've also had doors with
- 7:04handles and somehow the doors handles pull out.
- 7:08Usually they tend to be the handicap look it's going to be
- 7:115050 push or pull. They just are like, well The
- 7:16thing is like it just it just takes the IT takes the mind.
- 7:19I mean, let let's put it this way, How many times have we been
- 7:23hanging out and you walk up to a door, not on a plane and you
- 7:27have not been able to work it on the 1st?
- 7:28Round I am. Probably have undiagnosed mental
- 7:34illness, like I'm have AI, have a retardation of brain cells or
- 7:38something because I can't. OK, Speaking of this, now just
- 7:42fully full circle. Let's break.
- 7:45It back to you, I really struggle.
- 7:46I really struggle with kids. Safe things chowproof things
- 7:52like the. Pool.
- 7:53Do you struggle getting your drugs out of the container with?
- 7:56A lot of drug containers are childproof.
- 7:58You have to push and turn at the same time.
- 8:00My fingers are like, you push up your palm.
- 8:02You don't. You can just you go like you
- 8:04push your palm and you can just yeah, just no one's taught you
- 8:08how to open your pill bottles. I'm like child safe.
- 8:10I can't. I'm like, I can't If a child
- 8:11safe, I'll be out. But you are a child, a. 100%,
- 8:15But weirdly enough, I mean, interestingly, we talked about
- 8:17The Doors because I had. I did actually read or read or
- 8:20watch a fascinating documentary about the.
- 8:23Like a door engineer where they're like a door actually
- 8:26outside of the plane, Because I think people act differently on
- 8:29a plane for whatever reason. If you see a door, if it's
- 8:32designed well, a person should be able to into it.
- 8:36How to open it? That's correct.
- 8:37With whatever it is, signs like the length of the handle where
- 8:41it is, you should be able to into it very quickly.
- 8:43Yeah. It's like subconscious.
- 8:45Basically for most people. So if, and that's probably the
- 8:48majority of doors, you do it without even thinking about it
- 8:50when you run into a door that's maybe poorly designed.
- 8:52Then you're like, OK, well this is not a me issue, this is, it's
- 8:55a design issue. Yeah, actually I have a book on
- 8:57this. Yeah, maybe it was just really
- 8:58fascinating, but you didn't. You didn't think about some of
- 9:00the things that people think about.
- 9:01Actually, I have books on this, but this is an area that I'm
- 9:04very interesting. It's very bizarre.
- 9:05Yes. So I've got this book called, I
- 9:07think it's called The Design of Everyday Things, and it talks
- 9:09about basic things of a lot, like the handle on a mug and
- 9:13like how a door opens. And like, yeah, like you
- 9:17subconsciously learn like, oh, when you if you're about to
- 9:20enter a house, you expect a door to swing in.
- 9:24If it's like a office building, you kind of expect the reverse,
- 9:27right? You expect to go into like a big
- 9:29office building or like a house, whatever.
- 9:30You usually think you need to pull the door.
- 9:33So these little things, you kind of your brain gets like that
- 9:37intuition, just like as you grow up around these things.
- 9:40So when there's something that like on the airplane, the door
- 9:43is like, well, it's a folding door, which is weird, and the
- 9:46following door that pushes in is even weirder.
- 9:48So like, people that don't fly all the time, it's easy.
- 9:52It's easy to say like, well, this is a stupid person, they
- 9:54should be reading the sign. But in a way, something like a
- 9:57door should be intuitive. Yeah, it should be.
- 9:59And I do know the bifold doors are not common.
- 10:02You're 100% right. And it really, it really is.
- 10:05It happens every flight, but it is the vast minority of people.
- 10:09Because you have the one or two people who just seem to be
- 10:12incapable of opening it. You have the other 98% who can
- 10:16figure it out, and you have the 1% who it takes a little while
- 10:18to figure it out. I feel like the people and A.
- 10:21Lot of them are older, to be fair or foreign, yeah.
- 10:25But then I'm like, well, there's doors in China or whatever, but
- 10:29I just realized, did you talk about me opening containers,
- 10:32drugs? Are you allowed to talk about
- 10:33that? Yeah.
- 10:34Like prescription drugs are not illegal.
- 10:36I'm not like illegal drugs. Opening drug containers.
- 10:39I'm like, bro, what the hell? Like a dose What?
- 10:41Dose of G? No.
- 10:43When I take my discovery for Prep every night that's in a
- 10:46childproof bottle, we have to push on the lid and twist so
- 10:49like, kids kind of get into it. It's not illegal drugs.
- 10:51Because I was like, wait a second, when would I ever open
- 10:54containers or drugs, legal or legal?
- 10:57For me, that's prescription drugs that your doctor
- 10:59prescribed for you. But.
- 11:00For me, that's. It's it's it's really annoying.
- 11:03But I know how to open them. Yeah I yeah, if they push and
- 11:05twist on the scene, maybe it's a western thing too.
- 11:07I actually don't know how if it is in Asia, but I'm assuming
- 11:09it's just a push and twist. Yeah, that's that's the child
- 11:12resistant design. So you have to push and twist
- 11:14the scene linked to. I mean not the because I really
- 11:16don't pull drugs out of containers.
- 11:18What is annoying is pulling the lid off the Creamer.
- 11:22That 5050 crap, bro. It is.
- 11:25It is so annoying you want to pull the lid off of it
- 11:26completely or just open it. Either I struggle with.
- 11:29I've never had peeling, appealing labels there.
- 11:31That's something. Appealing labels.
- 11:32I struggle with peeling labels. I struggle with Saran wrap.
- 11:35I think you call it Saran with ribbons.
- 11:38I struggle with delicate things, have delicate lady fingers, but
- 11:41I really struggle. I don't think you have delicate.
- 11:43I can't tie shoelaces like most people.
- 11:45I do the basic child loop loop. I don't know how I tie.
- 11:49You doing tie shoes? Yeah, the You could, I don't
- 11:52know. The vast majority of people
- 11:53would have done like a rabbit through the whole.
- 11:55Oh, I know it. I had.
- 11:56I have Velcro shoes until I was like 8 or 9.
- 12:00Because I didn't. I didn't learn to tie my
- 12:02shoelaces until maybe later than.
- 12:03Most of the kids I I learned to, but I do it like a really basic
- 12:06stupid way. I don't think there's like a
- 12:08stupid way to do it. As long as you your shoes are
- 12:10tied, I don't think there's a right or wrong way to do it.
- 12:13Like are your shoes tied? Yes or no?
- 12:15Like it's not rocket science. It simulates me because I
- 12:18couldn't figure it out as long as.
- 12:20I mean there might be different ways to tie it.
- 12:22I feel like as long as your shoes are tied, doesn't matter.
- 12:24It's a really weird, out of body experience because as an adult
- 12:27I'm like, you learn how to do it and it's really easy because
- 12:30you're an adult. You get used to it.
- 12:31And almost like, but I can't. I've now had years of doing it
- 12:34the other way. And now I'm like this way is
- 12:37much more wait wait wait wait wait.
- 12:38But what happened for you to have to learn a different way of
- 12:42tying your? Shoes.
- 12:42I didn't have to. It just randomly came up.
- 12:44I'm like, oh, I don't even know. There's different ways to tie
- 12:46your shoes. I just thought, like, I just
- 12:48tied my shoes one way and I never thought about it ever
- 12:50again. You know the, you'd have the two
- 12:52strings and you do the first thing.
- 12:54Everyone does it the same way. The first thing is the same.
- 12:56You crossover and pull. Then I make 2 ribbons and do the
- 12:59same thing again. I've never thought about how I
- 13:02tie my shoes. I just because I don't even know
- 13:04from your description whether I'm doing it the same way or
- 13:06not. No, I I I guarantee you.
- 13:07I have to tie my shoes anymore though, because like, they're
- 13:12tied and like you slip them in. I get the type of sneakers
- 13:14where, like, it's stretched enough that you can just like
- 13:17shove your foot in and you don't have to retie them.
- 13:19Yeah, my work shoes are loafers with no laces.
- 13:22You ruined the backs of them, but I don't care.
- 13:24I don't care. I'm not good at taking care of
- 13:25shoes, though. Like, yeah, I'm not good at
- 13:28taking care of shoes. I'm just getting you on.
- 13:30I'll come. I don't clean them.
- 13:31I'm not getting you on. I also don't like nice shoes.
- 13:35I don't like fancy things. I don't like Louis Vuitton this
- 13:37or that. Yeah, no, I don't know if I'm.
- 13:40I'm not going to take care of stuff.
- 13:41I just destroy them. I just don't have.
- 13:43I didn't see any intrinsic value in the label, so I'm like, if it
- 13:46functions the way it does, just do it.
- 13:48Yeah, but it was just out of curiosity that I.
- 13:51Knew that I knew how to do shoelace.
- 13:53It might have been linked to someone asking about the tie.
- 13:54Comment down below on the YouTube version of this podcast
- 13:59if you think if there are different ways to.
- 14:02Tie, Shoelace, high shoelaces. But I've never looked into it.
- 14:05I learned that I was a kid eventually how to tie my shoes,
- 14:08and I just never, ever thought about it again.
- 14:09Because I can tie a tie. I can tie a tie, I can tie a
- 14:11tie, I don't know. But you have to know how to tie
- 14:14a tie because you have to do it on a regular, right?
- 14:17No, because secretly they're Velcro.
- 14:20I don't know how to tie. Actually, for safety I have to
- 14:22do it once probably so you can't strangle yourself by accident,
- 14:24so. People can't strangle stuff,
- 14:26like if they pull the a lot of we're actually not supposed to
- 14:29have dangly things. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 14:31To get caught in or and or people get it.
- 14:33It makes sense from, like a safety point of view, but I I
- 14:35don't know how to tie a tie. I've never really had to, like,
- 14:38wear a tie for anything. I think it's pretty common I
- 14:42think. I'm sure like if you looked up
- 14:43like how to tie a tie the first video on YouTube, it would have
- 14:45like 20 million views or whatever probably.
- 14:47I just never really had to learn, so I just never did.
- 14:50But think, oh, in this generation now, where you can
- 14:52literally learn anything you want on just on the Internet or
- 14:55on YouTube, for better or worse. For learning purposes for the
- 14:59better, yeah. But there are definitely work
- 15:00bad. You got to be careful about
- 15:02learning everything just via the Internet.
- 15:04There's certain things like you just don't know the source
- 15:08you're getting your information from, and whether that's like
- 15:11reliable or not. Yeah, for for something basic.
- 15:16That's like sometimes things you see on the Internet, like for
- 15:18more advancing. It's not like tying your shoes
- 15:20or tying a tie, but like sometimes the stuff you learn is
- 15:23like incomplete on the Internet. Or like it's maybe probably not
- 15:27the best practice because like any random slow, like I make gay
- 15:31crews advice videos, But like the words that come into my
- 15:34mouth, maybe it's complete crap. Like, who knows who's there to
- 15:38say whether my advice is good or not.
- 15:40Yeah, and these days people do mask their sources well, but it
- 15:45well, people don't even have sources.
- 15:47Honestly. They just say like five ways to
- 15:49get rich by doing this and blah blah blah.
- 15:52It's a click bait half the time. I hate click bait videos, by the
- 15:55way. On the on the fucking Internet.
- 15:57What's your click bait going to be for this podcast?
- 15:59I don't have a click bait. I have titles for my podcast
- 16:02because I have to put in a title.
- 16:04But doesn't your podcast title change all the time?
- 16:06Yeah, each episode has a different name because.
- 16:09It's like he's hot, but you're. No.
- 16:11The name of the podcast is the same.
- 16:12Yeah, but each episode has a name, just like on a TV show.
- 16:17Each episode has a yeah, and every episode has its own title
- 16:22for just that episode. And then it has a description.
- 16:24But this is more for YouTube, for example.
- 16:27People will be like, yeah, I just don't like the quick beats.
- 16:31And actually it makes me want to not watch the videos.
- 16:33This is more like YouTube. Specific, actually.
- 16:36And you can see everyone who's done it, because it's the same.
- 16:38It's arrows, it's an excited face, arrows and that thing,
- 16:42right? And it's like, yeah, so for
- 16:45YouTube specifically, you do want to create attention getting
- 16:50thumbnails because when you're browsing YouTube, you have the
- 16:52thumbnail and like the title to go by whether you're going to
- 16:55click on something, Right. Clickbait basically is when you
- 17:00kind of over promise and under deliver.
- 17:03Yep. With the thumbnail that you have
- 17:05for video as well as like the title.
- 17:08Yep. So like people like watching
- 17:11outrageous things. That's why the rules housewives
- 17:14get so many views. That's why.
- 17:15Who's that? Who's that guy?
- 17:16Logan. Paul.
- 17:17Whatever. Paul Logan, whatever that guy
- 17:19is, that's famous YouTuber, but that's a lot of these famous
- 17:24Youtubers. Eventually they just do
- 17:26outrageous things just for clicks, just to get to do
- 17:29something. Outrage, like people are
- 17:30attracted to that. What's he famous for?
- 17:32I don't know. He's some sort of YouTube person
- 17:34that got famous. I don't really follow a lot of
- 17:37Youtubers so. That's I'm like how you how do
- 17:40you get famous as a YouTube. I guess I just don't.
- 17:42Oh, that that's a whole other can of worms that we are that I
- 17:45don't know how to unpack. Was this on your memory list of
- 17:47things to talk about? No.
- 17:50And was Milk talking? That was not you brought up the
- 17:53milk. Right.
- 17:54It is so nice. Actually.
- 17:56I didn't remember. On to the flight tonight.
- 17:57I'll drink. I cannot.
- 17:58I cannot in, I cannot in good mind recommend milk.
- 18:04People generally drink half and half.
- 18:06But why isn't it? Why is Why is it bad?
- 18:09There's a lot of fat, there's a lot of saturated animal fat in
- 18:12it. That's not necessarily healthy
- 18:14for you. So.
- 18:15This is what was confused. Not in the way that you drink
- 18:17it. You you were drinking it by like
- 18:19the capful. Multiple.
- 18:21I would drink a cup, though. And people were yelling like
- 18:23these. People were like, you shouldn't
- 18:25do this. I'm like, why?
- 18:25I don't understand. I mean it's just not very
- 18:28healthy to do that, but and it's not to like assume that way.
- 18:31We were at an IHOP, so I'm like guys.
- 18:33Where is what the? I don't understand.
- 18:35Like, I think it's just so out of the norm that that's why
- 18:39people wanted to tell you, because it was so out of the.
- 18:41Norm I was blown away by how everyone thought it was and
- 18:44like, how, how what In a weird world where it was just very
- 18:48bizarre. I didn't realise the IT was like
- 18:51I did something like really wrong.
- 18:53It's just really weird. It's like I started eating grass
- 18:55outside or something, or like licked someone's shoe or
- 18:58something. I was like, no, it's it's, it's,
- 19:00it's kind of it's almost approaching that level of weird.
- 19:02It was so weird, like people don't like it was not intended
- 19:05for that and people don't do that usually.
- 19:08Like it's It's very weird to see.
- 19:10Well, yeah, to be fair, I mean, I find if you think about it,
- 19:12technically, yeah, it's like cream and cream and milk, which
- 19:16are like meant to be consumed, but it wasn't designed or
- 19:19intended for you to just like, drink a whole cup of it.
- 19:22Yeah, so, like, it's it's weird. It's not that.
- 19:24It's like it's not like eating dirt where you could have health
- 19:28ramifications. You know what I felt?
- 19:29I felt kink shamed. I felt kink shamed.
- 19:31They kink shame me from drinking.
- 19:33Is that a kink? What do you want to drink?
- 19:35Half and half? No, but the reaction to it was
- 19:38it was like, it was really taboo.
- 19:40And I'm like, guys, I don't look, I think eating salad is
- 19:43stupid, but I won't like shame you for eating salad.
- 19:46I think the reaction was because I think the reaction was because
- 19:50it's like it's literally one of those things where like people,
- 19:52people don't expect someone to do it.
- 19:54I guess it's like so out of the norm.
- 19:56I I guess actually, I sort of guess I I'm still like, blown
- 20:00away by the reaction. But you're going to drink some
- 20:02half and half tonight? On the phone, yes, I need to
- 20:03remember because it's I always forget about it.
- 20:06But you drink it because it tastes good.
- 20:08I think I like it because I but but to be fair, I know a lot of
- 20:10people can't drink milk by itself.
- 20:12Not OK minus the lactose free people.
- 20:14People who do drink milk, they're like, well, I can't
- 20:15drink that by itself. It's disgusting or whatever.
- 20:18I can drink milk by itself. I could drink a full cup of
- 20:21regular milk. Yeah, a lot of people drink
- 20:23milk. But a lot, a lot of people
- 20:24don't. I know, but like, it's but a lot
- 20:26of people also do. Is that weird?
- 20:28No. Yeah.
- 20:28So drinking milk's not Drinking milk's not weird.
- 20:30They. They.
- 20:30Start drinking cream. They sell so like people in the
- 20:33in the in the US people buy so much milk.
- 20:36And I'll say like cream, drinking milk is not a weird.
- 20:38Thing like cream by itself. I think as you get older, when
- 20:41you're a kid, it's more acceptable to drink a glass of
- 20:44milk versus when you're like an adult.
- 20:46Because I think as people get older, like they don't drink
- 20:49milk straight up anymore. But like, it's not really like a
- 20:52they're more likely to use milk for cereal or for their coffee
- 20:58when you're an adult rather than when you're a kid.
- 21:00Like, it's more like socially a Sullivan.
- 21:02You just drink a glass of milk. Yeah, and now you're doing your
- 21:04people doing the, the almond milk or soy milk crap, right?
- 21:07Like nut milk. I mean I do that stuff because
- 21:10I'm trying to go off with dairy, so I have oat milk and almond
- 21:12milk in my fridge, but I don't drink it straight up.
- 21:15I use the oat milk for lattes because I make lattes at home.
- 21:19So I pull a shot of espresso and I mix it with the oat milk and
- 21:22that's a latte but like a non dairy latte.
- 21:25And then the almond milk I use it to eat cereal with.
- 21:29But I'm not. I don't usually.
- 21:30I mean it's not weird. I could just drink the milk
- 21:32straight up, but I don't need to do.
- 21:33It. But why?
- 21:33Why would you use different milks for the cereal?
- 21:35Any reason just for a variety? Oh, got it.
- 21:41Because you wouldn't taste the milk in the coffee.
- 21:43Like you wouldn't taste it. I can taste it.
- 21:45If it's like a latte with soy milk versus oat milk, I can
- 21:47taste the difference. But.
- 21:48But not versus OAT versus almond, depending on I I can
- 21:53taste it. It depends.
- 21:55You can. Sometimes you can taste the
- 21:56difference, yeah. If you give the almond milk
- 21:58latte versus oatmeal, I can taste the difference.
- 22:01Oh, the the the the milk has a different.
- 22:03Flavor So you like the oat? Taste of the oat with lattes.
- 22:06I prefer the oatmeal, yeah, but it's just for variety.
- 22:10There's no specific need for me to have different types of nut
- 22:14milks. I'm in my fridge.
- 22:16I can eat and drink anything. I can literally eat and drink
- 22:19anything. So, well, I was doing it
- 22:21primarily for my acne, so which I'm, which I think is fungal
- 22:26acne now. So I'm doing like a whole skin
- 22:27care thing differently for that and I'm going to give it a
- 22:30couple of months and we'll see. Yeah, my acne goes away.
- 22:33No, I my diet is probably bad for my acne, but I just.
- 22:36I think it's. I don't care.
- 22:38I just eat. My priority is food.
- 22:39My first priority is food sustenance.
- 22:41Hmm. Sustenance.
- 22:43Sustenance, food, fat, whatever, Cream, sugar.
- 22:46Give it all to me. American food, basically.
- 22:48American food. American food?
- 22:50Well, it's it's Would you like American cereal?
- 22:54Well, because it's a super sweet sugary, Yeah, you like you like
- 22:56sweet, sugary things. Yes, like that.
- 22:58The Cinnamon Toast Crunch is yes, we were talking about.
- 23:01We were talking about yesterday how we should go to like, the
- 23:05Olive Garden or Cheesecake Factory.
- 23:06Because I heard the I think I've gone there before and I swear
- 23:09the breadsticks were amazing. I'm pretty sure they probably
- 23:12are. They probably taste good.
- 23:13And I think they're unlimited. I think they are.
- 23:16I've never been to an Olive Garden before, so I don't know.
- 23:18I think and I think we when I went, it was like it was fresh
- 23:21bread sticks, it was unlimited and I think there was a sauce
- 23:24but we should have like we should have AJ and Karl, I guess
- 23:26there we should go with them. It was they're back.
- 23:29But the weird thing was that kind of overshadowed the meal.
- 23:33Because I think I filled up on the.
- 23:35I think it's kind of it's like when you go to a buffet and like
- 23:39they put the the cheap low quality filling carbs at the
- 23:45they give you like the bread and the pasta or whatever up front
- 23:50and the pricey proteins like the shrimp or the beef or whatever
- 23:53is like later down the line. Well, luckily as Asian kids, we
- 23:57were taught from a very young age the exact fight plan where
- 24:00you like. Go seafood first.
- 24:02Asians know how to work a buffet.
- 24:04Skip the bread, Skip the rice. Skip the pasta.
- 24:06Go straight for the pricey protein or drink liquid.
- 24:09The shrimp, the salmon, the beef.
- 24:12That's what you go for first. Skip the rice, Skip the breast.
- 24:15Skip the pasta. Anything that's like simple
- 24:17carbs, dude. Starve yourself.
- 24:19I had. I grew up with like an.
- 24:21You need to go for the pricey items first.
- 24:24Price pricey for You know, white people wouldn't get this.
- 24:26White people just want to be like, oh, you need to go and
- 24:27order. They're like, oh, just for the
- 24:28pasta, whatever the pasta. You can come back for the pasta.
- 24:32But The thing is, like, if you go in order, your plate is gonna
- 24:34be mostly like cheap, low quality carbs that before you
- 24:40get to the pricey good stuff. And you don't have as much room
- 24:42on your plate for that? Stuff I feel, yeah.
- 24:44And then when you've eaten your first plate of food, you're
- 24:46gonna be too full to get the good stuff.
- 24:48You need to go for the good stuff right away.
- 24:50Yeah, Or and even because I hated seafood and they're like
- 24:52just still get it. It's like that's the most
- 24:54expensive. That's a very.
- 24:55Asian thing. It's like, I don't care if you
- 24:58don't like it, you're going to get it because this is the good
- 25:00stuff. I don't care if you're allergic
- 25:02and you might die, you're going to eat some fucking shrimp.
- 25:05And everyone I was growing up to when I'd go to like a a a rice
- 25:09noodle restaurant like the pho and as a as a young person, I
- 25:12couldn't finish it. So I thought, just eat the meat.
- 25:14Just eat the meat will go true. Finish the protein is which is
- 25:17the and then you can leave the soup in there.
- 25:18Leave behind, Behind the fuller, yeah.
- 25:21So we were taught from a young age, like it drilled into us as
- 25:23like the value the Asian, the real food pyramid, the Asian
- 25:27food, the Asian food pyramid of what to do, dude, it's true.
- 25:31It was just anything, every yeah, but that's that's.
- 25:34That's just good advice. Like if you're at the buffet, go
- 25:38for the expensive shit, bro. Like, get your money's worth.
- 25:41It's it's don't fill up on fucking.
- 25:43White bread. I have regressed as an adult
- 25:46like I do now. I'm just like I just want
- 25:48dessert all the time. But I progressed from that.
- 25:50But the I do know the order of the food pyramid.
- 25:53I just actively choose not to. I don't think that's growing up.
- 25:55I actually know what the what it's it's it grains at the
- 25:58bottom. No, no, I don't actually know
- 26:00that. No, I know the Asian Food
- 26:01Pyramid. Sorry.
- 26:01It's the, you know, seafood first tell our viewers what the
- 26:04Asian food. Pyramid is what's the most
- 26:06expensive? So seafood first, then it's your
- 26:07protein. And then it's like meats and
- 26:10stuff. Yeah, like your meats, seafoods,
- 26:12and then meats. And then it's like the in
- 26:14between. You just know that like rice is
- 26:16last, rice and the basic pastas last because that's the cheapest
- 26:19filling stuff. And just try not to drink water.
- 26:22Try not to drink liquids because your stomach holds liquid and
- 26:25that fills you up. But The thing is especially you
- 26:27don't want to make the liquids with like the bread or the rice
- 26:31because it expands in your stomach.
- 26:32Yeah, bread's very low too. So yeah, bread is like non
- 26:34existent on the Asian bread almost doesn't exist on the
- 26:37Asian pyramid. It's like a Western thing.
- 26:40Bread is a Western. Thing.
- 26:41So I still remember my dad's plate and mum's plate was full
- 26:44of all the seafood shells and the only kind of filler that
- 26:47Asians might like is rice. Maybe.
- 26:49And that's very low though, Yeah, but that that in a buffet
- 26:52situation, you're not going for the rice in like a regular
- 26:55everyday home cooked dinner. Like, you're probably gonna have
- 26:59some minor rice in your whatever, but you know that's
- 27:01when you're paying for the ingredients.
- 27:03But when it when it's all you can eat buffet, you don't go for
- 27:05the rice. And I think I just realized
- 27:06that's why, like Asian rice bowls are the small things where
- 27:09you go to like a white person. They have a big rice with the
- 27:11thing. You're meant to have a small
- 27:12rice thing and the most expensive bit to a company.
- 27:15It's just meant to be like a little company to fill up,
- 27:18correct? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:19When you go to like a Chinese. Restaurant.
- 27:21It's just a small little, especially for like a Chinese
- 27:22seafood restaurant for dinner. You can get rice, but the rice
- 27:26is supposed to be a supplement to the vegetables, the seafood,
- 27:31food, the protein is not the main thing that you're eating.
- 27:35It's a tiny bowl. And you, it's a tiny bowl.
- 27:37And they eat with chopsticks too.
- 27:38And you don't even eat the whole thing most of the time, like,
- 27:40and Chinese people. Like when I go to dinner with my
- 27:43family, eat at a Chinese restaurant, we do order rice,
- 27:46but we don't all get rice. There might be six of us.
- 27:48We get like two or three rice. Yeah, any one of us.
- 27:51We might get half of it. It is literally to eat with the
- 27:54beef, the chicken, the salmon, the shrimp.
- 27:57The fish like to eat with the protein or to eat with the
- 27:59vegetables. We don't eat a lot of the rice.
- 28:01You can pretty much almost tell you eat in a group situation or
- 28:04with people, and if they're like a white person, you can tell if
- 28:07they've eaten or they've like eaten with Iran.
- 28:10Asian people before you can always, but The thing is like,
- 28:13they're. More than the chops, their
- 28:14understanding of Chinese food is like it's like the fast food
- 28:19Asian fusion restaurants you see at the airport.
- 28:22Yeah, What? What?
- 28:23What are those called? Well, but some of the ones who
- 28:25you can tell, like if by how they order and how they
- 28:28interact, like certain cuisines are meant to be shared, there
- 28:31was this hideous thing must be family style.
- 28:34Must be like a TikTok or reel. But there's a video of a Yamcha,
- 28:37and it had the they spun around with a group of white people
- 28:40eating, and they each had like, the entire The guy had a whole
- 28:43snapper, correct? Correct.
- 28:44It was so awkward. It just like a massive cringe.
- 28:47I'm like Chinese cuisine is always like family style.
- 28:49So we we might there might be like some proteins, dishes, some
- 28:53like basically almost every dish.
- 28:55It's a shared dish. Especially Yum cha dude.
- 28:58Like the only. Yeah, yeah, it's basically you
- 29:00go to like, Yum cha like a Chinese restaurant for like
- 29:02lunch or dinner. Like you would be sitting at a
- 29:04table. It's going to be a round table.
- 29:05We don't have like fucking rectangular tables, Round table.
- 29:09And you get a Lazy Susan spinning thing in the middle.
- 29:12That's so that everyone can have a little bit of everything.
- 29:14You don't. There's no, like you get your
- 29:16own entree. You don't do that at a Chinese.
- 29:18Restaurant, that video was horrendous and a lot of Asian
- 29:21cultures. You don't get that.
- 29:22That system, yeah, it was just like, what is going on here?
- 29:25But yeah, food is hilarious. Yeah, food is good.
- 29:29Yeah. But The thing is, yeah, like me
- 29:31being I'm not a foodie, I've set this on the podcast before.
- 29:35I'm not a foodie and my palate is not sophisticated.
- 29:38I cannot tell decent food from like, really good food.
- 29:41Like never bring me to a Michelin star restaurant, just
- 29:43wasted on me. However, the only time where,
- 29:46like I'm a little bit picky is when it comes to Chinese food,
- 29:49because I grew up with Chinese food, like living in China.
- 29:53So something that's like westernized Chinese food,
- 29:57because I'm so not used to it, it tastes gross.
- 30:01Yep, that makes sense. Like, you know, like the like
- 30:04the the Asian or Chinese food chains you get in in like the US
- 30:08or wherever. Like I can't go to those, but it
- 30:11just, it doesn't taste like Chinese food.
- 30:13It tastes like Asian food to me. It tastes like I don't know what
- 30:17it tastes like, but it just doesn't taste good to me.
- 30:19If I want Chinese food, I need to go to like an actual Chinese.
- 30:21Restaurant. Oh yeah, that makes sense.
- 30:23It's a poor man's imitation of the sweet sour pork, I think
- 30:26with Japanese food, I think I'm more forgiving, first of all,
- 30:28because I'm not Japanese. So when I get sushi or
- 30:33something, I can pick up sushi from like a Whole Foods, the
- 30:35sushi counter, and I'd be like, oh, this is fine.
- 30:37I think it's just Chinese food that I have that particular
- 30:40pickiness about this. I'm Chinese.
- 30:43I guess, yeah, I'm I'm the same with the Vietnamese food.
- 30:45I guess I'm still hunting for, like, my experience in authentic
- 30:48Vietnamese food in America. But we're about to.
- 30:51We're about to order After this, we should order well, 630 now.
- 30:55We should order pretty soon. Yeah, yeah.
- 30:58So. Well, I mean, we should probably
- 30:59just wrap up the podcast so we can order some fun and have
- 31:02dinner effects. Yeah.
- 31:03So is there anything you want to leave my viewers with before we
- 31:08sign off? Any worse of wisdom?
- 31:13No 'cause I'm not very wise, I really don't.
- 31:18I'm literally blank. I'm just thinking about fur when
- 31:22yeah, if we if we start talking about food, you're not going to
- 31:25be able to think about anything else until you.
- 31:26Eat blank. And also I've not, I've not.
- 31:29Do not come to me for advice. I literally will give you the
- 31:31worst advice or nothing or it's it's the same.
- 31:36It's a lot for you. What for you?
- 31:38You say something and nothing is pretty much the.
- 31:39Same. Yeah.
- 31:40Pretty. Yeah.
- 31:40It's actually, it's all nothing. It's actually all it's all
- 31:42filters. Like someone asks you like, oh,
- 31:44how do you do this? And then you just talk about,
- 31:47oh, this half and half is delicious.
- 31:49Or like hey, what's your name? And I'm like I don't fucking
- 31:51know. Why do you ask me?
- 31:52I don't know. My I don't know.
- 31:53My age is my age is between 34 and 36.
- 31:55But I don't know what's important.
- 31:57I think you should know how old you are.
- 31:58I don't know. Does it really that important?
- 32:00I just know that I'm over 21. For America or over 18?
- 32:04Oh no, I was 18 and then I was 21.
- 32:05And then I had no other. I had no other.
- 32:08Don't get out of the Don't get mad in the mic because you don't
- 32:10know all yours. Just.
- 32:11Go away. I don't know my age, but I was
- 32:13born at 88, so I'm like 36. I can't do math.
- 32:17Say, well, the ESA you don't. You don't know my age.
- 32:20Why should I know my age? I'm older than you.
- 32:21Why should I know my age? There you go.
- 32:22I know my age. I know your age, I sure.
- 32:28You're between 35 and 40. Great.
- 32:31Accurate. Yeah, That's all I need to know.
- 32:33Great. It's it's like saying the combo
- 32:35to your lock is between 1000 and 2000.
- 32:38I know what it is. I don't know what it is.
- 32:41You've written it down, You know my gym locker.
- 32:43But you, you just used it today and yesterday.
- 32:45No, you don't want to do. I use.
- 32:46I do the live hack. I figured it out.
- 32:49To open it, it needs to be an open number.
- 32:51So I just like, remember that number, Yeah, that's the, that's
- 32:55the number for the lock because that's what I'm.
- 32:57I think I just said the most logical, basic thing.
- 33:00And I'm like, wait, that makes sense because that's how it
- 33:02works. Well, David is a flight
- 33:04attendant, so don't. If you're ever on a flight with
- 33:06him, don't get on. Do not.
- 33:08If you are about to enter a plane and you see him working
- 33:12that flight, you you need to tell them like I need to get off
- 33:14this plane. You need to push the fucking
- 33:17door to the toilet, order correct tea and coffee, and then
- 33:19get off. And then I'll be very happy you.
- 33:21You'd be like you can't rely on him to tell you whether the
- 33:25flight has half and half, but you cannot rely on him to
- 33:29conduct an emergency evacuation if something bad happens on the
- 33:31plane. Anything important, don't rely
- 33:32on me. Do as I do, not as I say, yeah,
- 33:35yeah, yeah, no, not even, not even what you do, because you
- 33:37want to know what to. Do.
- 33:39Yeah, yeah. Basically.
- 33:39Don't just my my pronouns are none.
- 33:43Just don't refer to me. Do not pronounce my pronounce
- 33:48none. Nothing.
- 33:49And with that, we will see you next week, where I think next
- 33:53week, depending maybe normal service will be resumed and I'll
- 33:57conduct A orderly regular version of the podcast solo.
- 34:02Or well, you're scheduled to actually visit back in the US
- 34:06maybe once or twice more later this year.
- 34:08So we might have you back on the podcast for Comic Relief.
- 34:11Not, not not for actual advice, there's.
- 34:13Literally no relief, but Thanksgiving friendsgiving.
- 34:16Yeah, pilgrims. Let's do not do a Thanksgiving
- 34:19episode because I don't know what to.
- 34:20I'm not going to do. AI mean I do an episode every
- 34:22week, but it's not going to be a I'm not going to have a
- 34:24Thanksgiving themed episode. Oh, we get like overly
- 34:26cancelled. Because I haven't ignorance
- 34:28about. I will steer the conversation so
- 34:30that we don't get cancelled. It's just going to take a lot of
- 34:33editing. I think, I feel like I've been
- 34:35cancelled 85 times already. But I mean, it's fine if you're
- 34:38a cancel. It's not like your life depends
- 34:40on you not being cancelled. Is it true?
- 34:41I'm. Literally a Nothing I'm a
- 34:42Nothing burger. Like a side piece.
- 34:44It's just Joey put that on. We need to put that on our
- 34:47grinder profile. What?
- 34:48Just a side piece? It's just a side thing.
- 34:51Is now the side? Yeah, the side thing.
- 34:53There's a side thing which is like if you want to watch I.
- 34:56Thought it was just oral? No.
- 34:57Oral is oral. Oral is oral.
- 35:00No. But that's not a.
- 35:01That's not a like. I think it is.
- 35:03I don't know. Yeah.
- 35:05Is it really oral? Is oral side means like you're
- 35:09not like? It's not sexual and it's not
- 35:11your sexual. It's like you're watching or
- 35:13something. I I thought it was.
- 35:15We need to just oral. No, no, no oral.
- 35:17It's oral or it's not side? Like what side is not side?
- 35:21I was like what does that means? Maybe it means you like we need
- 35:24to Google this you. Like bump hips in Incognito
- 35:27mode, I'm going to go to what? What does the side side mean?
- 35:31Dude, I thought it was, well, like, maybe it's no penetration.
- 35:34Maybe it's like just like rubbing teasing when you like
- 35:39Google like. Siri, what is the side?
- 35:43I I mean Siri. Oh.
- 35:45She doesn't know she's a side. What are sides?
- 35:48OK, OK, Grinder has an article like.
- 35:50Grinder has an article. It's gonna be like Grinder blog.
- 35:54So a side in the sexual sense is an individual who doesn't enjoy
- 35:58giving or receiving anal penetration.
- 36:02That's right. It's OK.
- 36:03So, OK, so you are partially right and I'm wrong.
- 36:06But sides prefer less invasive sexual acts, such as dry humping
- 36:11making out oral sex. So you're right.
- 36:13Extra right. Intimate touch and massage,
- 36:16mutual masturbation and other things of that.
- 36:18So not topping or bottoming? Yeah, like it was extra, right?
- 36:21Like non anal I. Was like oral and not
- 36:24penetration plus also rubbing. I thought it was just like I
- 36:27thought oral was oral and like it wasn't part of.
- 36:29It no, because it's not a thing. It's not.
- 36:32It's like, oh, I guess. You're the bottom or the side.
- 36:34Like I know oral is a word, but in that regard, right?
- 36:37Like, you're a noun. OK, so if you don't like topping
- 36:40or bottoming, like, not. Yeah, not no, no anal
- 36:45penetration. Which is either way.
- 36:47Yeah. OK, well, there you go.
- 36:48I learned something new today. There we go.
- 36:49Something I didn't thought I would learn from you,
- 36:51apparently. Dude, I and I Oh my God, you did
- 36:53you give some, like, useful knowledge?
- 36:56The useful knowledge in this podcast.
- 36:58You asked me and we eventually got to a place where you're
- 37:00like, what is the knowledge? Over an hour later, I'm
- 37:02teaching. No but no.
- 37:03But the question was only like 2 minutes ago, but now I'm like
- 37:07the side guru. I won't say you were the side
- 37:10guru. Dude, I knew about it.
- 37:11You knew. You knew that it included oral,
- 37:14but you didn't know about the other.
- 37:15It was like a triangle. I knew three of the sides.
- 37:17I was like three of the sides. I was like rubbing, no
- 37:20penetration and oral. So I was like, I'm a triangle
- 37:25well. I'm the side guru.
- 37:27I I don't know if that's a gang sign, so.
- 37:29Please, I keep throwing gang sign if you want to see the sign
- 37:32that David just made, which I don't know if I need to censor
- 37:35or not. The video version of this
- 37:37podcast is available on my YouTube channel, Just Joey T and
- 37:40also on Spotify. I don't know, but I think we
- 37:42should go order some fun now and have some dinner.
- 37:44Yeah, don't care. Stop throwing up signs.
- 37:46Don't know what gangs are. Wait, this is fun though.
- 37:48Peace. I don't know what it I don't
- 37:50have. I don't want to have to edit
- 37:51this. It's.
- 37:52Just going to be a bunch of sensor that people think I'm
- 37:54doing their finger OK? It's a peaceful sign what you.
- 37:59I'm sorry. What you have probably failed by
- 38:00now is. I'm sorry like it takes a lot of
- 38:03effort to have to babysit this. I can't take him anywhere.
- 38:07You can. You can take me aside and tell
- 38:10me that, yeah, But like, I would have to do that so often, I'd
- 38:13rather just not bring you up. The energy that I have to deal
- 38:17with and then people around me have to put up with, it's like
- 38:19they need the Xanax to deal with me.
- 38:21I'm anxiety. And on that note, I'm gonna go
- 38:25grab my Xanax. All right, everybody.
- 38:27We'll see you next week. Bye.
