- 1:02Speaker 5: welcome back to another episode of the his hop radio podcast.
- 1:08Speaker 5: The last time we were together in the book of Jeremiah,
- 1:13Speaker 5: we saw our prophet at one of his lowest points
- 1:19Speaker 5: so far. He had been beaten, mocked, rejected and persecuted
- 1:25Speaker 5: for delivering God's word. Jeremiah even reached a point where
- 1:31Speaker 5: he said, I don't want to speak anymore. But God's
- 1:37Speaker 5: word was burning inside him like an inferno, like a fire.
- 1:42Speaker 5: He could not hold it back. And that is a
- 1:47Speaker 5: good problem. Now, in today's passage, we're going to see
- 1:52Speaker 5: Jeremiah move from discouragement to confidence. And then back into
- 1:58Speaker 5: deep despair. Now I can relate with him because he
- 2:03Speaker 5: had a mood swing. He was up and down. How
- 2:06Speaker 5: many of us have been there, right? How many of
- 2:10Speaker 5: us can relate? He was up one second. He was
- 2:13Speaker 5: down the next. He was on top of the mountaintop.
- 2:17Speaker 5: And then he's down in the valley. That goes to
- 2:21Speaker 5: show you that he is human. That Jeremiah had true emotions.
- 2:27Speaker 5: that this was a true character, somebody that we can
- 2:30Speaker 5: relate to. As we get into it today, we want
- 2:36Speaker 5: to invite you to meet us in a live chat.

- 4:07Speaker 5: let's go to the Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we
- 4:11Speaker 5: come before you. We ask, Father God, for your blessing.
- 4:14Speaker 5: We ask for your grace. We ask for your presence,
- 4:17Speaker 5: O God. that you will breathe upon this podcast, oh God,
- 4:21Speaker 5: that you will use it for your glory, oh God.
- 4:24Speaker 5: We ask, Lord, that you'll bless the hero, oh God.
- 4:26Speaker 5: We ask, Lord, that you give us the rainbow word,
- 4:29Speaker 5: the spoken word, the word of knowledge, oh God, Lord.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Touch the hearers where they are today, Father God. Touch
- 4:36Speaker 5: us all where we are today, Lord, as we examine
- 4:40Speaker 5: your word, as we look into your prophet, oh God.
- 4:43Speaker 5: And we ask this in Jesus' name.
- 4:46Speaker 6: Amen.
- 4:49Speaker 1: All right, well, let's dive into it.
- 4:53Speaker 5: We're going to pick it up in Jeremiah chapter 11 today.
- 4:55Speaker 5: And it says, but the Lord is with me as
- 4:57Speaker 5: a mighty awesome one.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Now, don't forget what I said in the intro.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Jeremiah was at his lowest low. Jeremiah was just beaten, mocked.
- 5:20Speaker 5: People are conspiring against him. They want to take him out.
- 5:24Speaker 5: They want to stop his ministry. They threw him in
- 5:27Speaker 5: a dungeon. They threw him in the stocks. And Jeremiah
- 5:31Speaker 5: feels like he was deceived by the Lord. Because if
- 5:35Speaker 5: you remember at the beginning of his calling, God told
- 5:39Speaker 5: him that they would harden their hearts and harden their
- 5:44Speaker 5: faces against the prophet, against the message. But he persuaded
- 5:50Speaker 5: Jeremiah because Jeremiah at first was reluctant. He said that
- 5:53Speaker 5: he was too young to speak. But God told him
- 5:57Speaker 5: that they will fight against him, but they will not prevail.
- 6:00Speaker 5: And so Jeremiah interpreted as that he wouldn't go through
- 6:05Speaker 5: nothing at all, that they wouldn't be able to beat him.
- 6:09Speaker 5: and to mock him in the stuff that he was
- 6:11Speaker 5: going through. So he's like, you deceived me. You persuaded me.
- 6:16Speaker 5: I'm not going to speak in the name of the
- 6:17Speaker 5: Lord anymore. But now we see the prophet and he's
- 6:24Speaker 5: at the place where he is encouraged at this moment
- 6:31Speaker 5: and that he's going back up. And when we get
- 6:35Speaker 5: our eyes off the problem and get our eyes on
- 6:37Speaker 5: the Lord and then that is definitely an improvement. Amen.
- 6:47Speaker 5: So in verse 11, that's where we were at. We're
- 6:52Speaker 5: at an upward climb. He's climbing up to the mountaintop again.
- 6:56Speaker 5: And he says, but the Lord is with me as
- 7:01Speaker 5: a mighty awesome one. Therefore, my persecutors will stumble and
- 7:08Speaker 5: will not prevail. Hallelujah. They will be greatly ashamed for
- 7:15Speaker 5: they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten. Hallelujah. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 5: that is a good prayer to pray when we are
- 7:30Speaker 5: going through our situations. Amen. I'm putting that on my
- 7:33Speaker 5: prayer list. Let's break it down word for word. But
- 7:38Speaker 5: the Lord is with me. So Jeremiah, after expressing all
- 7:46Speaker 5: his frustration, like I just said, Jeremiah makes a powerful declaration.
- 7:52Speaker 5: But the Lord is with me as a mighty, terrible one. Now,
- 7:58Speaker 5: that is a major shift right here in his attitude, right?
- 8:02Speaker 5: In his focus, in his heart. He's speaking faith right now.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Jeremiah knows that. Although people are against him, God himself
- 8:13Speaker 5: is with him. And if God before us, who can
- 8:17Speaker 5: be against us? His enemies may be stronger. They may
- 8:23Speaker 5: be more in number. Jeremiah may feel like he is surrounded.
- 8:28Speaker 5: And I felt that before. I felt like I was
- 8:32Speaker 5: surrounded by snakes and wolves. His enemies may have political influence.
- 8:39Speaker 5: They may even have authority over him or authority in general, right?
- 8:49Speaker 5: They don't have God on their side. And Jeremiah does.
- 8:56Speaker 5: And that is the big difference. Same for us. Whatever
- 9:00Speaker 5: we're going through, if God is on our side, our
- 9:04Speaker 5: enemies will will fall to the wayside one by one
- 9:09Speaker 5: amen now Jeremiah recognizes that although he was surrounded by
- 9:19Speaker 5: opposition the Lord remained his strength and his defender his
- 9:26Speaker 5: confidence wasn't based upon his own ability but upon God's
- 9:31Speaker 5: presence with him Amen. And that is where our confidence
- 9:36Speaker 5: should lie. And that should be a word for us today, right?
- 9:41Speaker 5: We may look around and see everything that's going on.
- 9:46Speaker 5: But the question that we need to ask is who
- 9:50Speaker 5: is with me? God is with me. You're never truly alone. Now,
- 10:02Speaker 5: that doesn't mean you're never going to have trouble. It
- 10:08Speaker 5: doesn't mean everybody is going to like you. It doesn't
- 10:13Speaker 5: mean that you're never going to cry. But, It means
- 10:20Speaker 5: that your troubles don't have to be the final word.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Your troubles do not have to define you. Amen. Hallelujah.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Then it says, therefore, my persecutors shall stumble. We're still
- 10:45Speaker 5: in verse 11, right? Jeremiah says those who persecute him
- 10:49Speaker 5: will not ultimately prevail. Now that is very encouraging. They
- 10:54Speaker 5: will be ashamed because they won't succeed. I've seen God
- 11:03Speaker 5: embarrass a lot of my haters time and time again.
- 11:10Speaker 5: I've seen God bring to shame those who were in
- 11:15Speaker 5: opposition against me time and time again, this word is true.
- 11:21Speaker 5: And I'm so thankful for it. And Jeremiah was confident
- 11:26Speaker 5: that God saw what he was going through. Sometimes we
- 11:31Speaker 5: want God to immediately deal with everybody who has wronged us,
- 11:36Speaker 5: but sometimes God doesn't do it on our timetable, right?
- 11:42Speaker 5: God has his own timetable. Now, that's where we need
- 11:47Speaker 5: to trust the Lord. That's where trust kicks in on
- 11:50Speaker 5: our part. We don't have to spend all our energy
- 11:55Speaker 5: trying to prove ourselves to everyone. We don't have to
- 12:02Speaker 5: answer every accusation. We don't have to win every argument.
- 12:07Speaker 5: Sometimes we just need to step back and say, God
- 12:11Speaker 5: knows the truth. And let God handle what we cannot handle. Amen.
- 12:21Speaker 5: I love the fact that we need God on a
- 12:23Speaker 5: daily basis. Verse 12. But O Lord of hosts, you
- 12:31Speaker 5: who test the righteous and see the mind and the heart,
- 12:38Speaker 5: let me see your vengeance on them For I have
- 12:42Speaker 5: pleaded my cause before you. Now check this out. Jeremiah
- 12:52Speaker 5: calls upon the Lord to examine the hearts and minds
- 12:56Speaker 5: of the people. Now he knows God sees deeper than
- 13:04Speaker 5: outward appearance. God can see, but we cannot see. God
- 13:08Speaker 5: knows what's really happening. inside of a person. And that's comforting.
- 13:16Speaker 5: People only see what you allow them to see. God
- 13:25Speaker 5: sees everything. He knows your motives. He knows your intentions.
- 13:34Speaker 5: He knows when you're being falsely accused. He knows when
- 13:39Speaker 5: you're wrong as well, right? I always try to be
- 13:45Speaker 5: transparent and confess when I'm wrong. And that's why we
- 13:51Speaker 5: need to be careful. You shouldn't simply say God knows
- 13:56Speaker 5: my heart as an excuse for bad behavior. We should
- 14:01Speaker 5: say it is or we should pray Lord, you know
- 14:10Speaker 5: my heart. If there's anything wrong in me, show me.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Now that is a completely different attitude than God knows
- 14:21Speaker 5: my heart. And to excuse bad behavior, we need to
- 14:26Speaker 5: ask God to expose the filth and the wickedness that
- 14:31Speaker 5: is in our heart. Amen. Verse 13 says, Sing to
- 14:39Speaker 5: the Lord, praise the Lord, for he has delivered the
- 14:43Speaker 5: life of the poor from the hand of the evildoers. Hallelujah.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Come on, Jeremiah. He's climbing that mountain. He's at the
- 14:53Speaker 5: mountain peak. He's at the point where he's ready to
- 14:59Speaker 5: break out in praise into worship, seeing unto the Lord.
- 15:04Speaker 5: But why? Why is he at that place? Because God
- 15:07Speaker 5: has delivered the soul of the poor from the hand
- 15:11Speaker 5: of the evildoer. Now let's take a look at this.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Jeremiah is still dealing with opposition. His circumstances haven't necessarily
- 15:21Speaker 5: changed at this point, but his perspective changes. He starts
- 15:27Speaker 5: praising God. Now that's powerful. And that's something that our
- 15:33Speaker 5: pastor teach in church all the time. Like we need
- 15:39Speaker 5: to be true worshipers. We need to worship God through
- 15:42Speaker 5: the fire. You know, worship confuses our adversary. You got
- 15:49Speaker 5: to worship God when we're going through something good and
- 15:52Speaker 5: blessing as well as going through something tough and difficult.
- 15:58Speaker 5: That's where our victory lies. And that's where our breakthrough is. Now,
- 16:06Speaker 5: sometime praise is Praising God doesn't begin because your situation
- 16:12Speaker 5: has changed. Sometimes praise begins because you remembered who God is.
- 16:18Speaker 5: You can praise God while you're waiting. You can praise
- 16:22Speaker 5: God while you're hurting. You can praise God because you
- 16:27Speaker 5: see the answer and you can see it by your faith. Amen.
- 16:35Speaker 5: That's a beautiful thing. Verse 14, cursed be the day
- 16:41Speaker 5: in which I was born. Now, wait a minute. What
- 16:43Speaker 5: just happened? He was at the mountain peak praising God.
- 16:50Speaker 5: And now he's in the valley. What? Cursed be the
- 16:53Speaker 5: day in which I was born. Let that day not
- 16:58Speaker 5: be blessed in which my mother bore me. Now, who
- 17:04Speaker 5: else in the Bible says, said cursed be the day
- 17:08Speaker 5: I was born. Doesn't that sound like our brother Job
- 17:12Speaker 5: in the book of Job? Job was at his lowest low.
- 17:17Speaker 5: We can get there, beloved. And maybe you're there today. Well,
- 17:23Speaker 5: there's help for you in God's word. Because if even
- 17:26Speaker 5: the prophet Jeremiah can say that and get through, then
- 17:34Speaker 5: we can say that and go through that. And there's
- 17:38Speaker 5: hope for us as well. Cursed be the day when
- 17:41Speaker 5: I was born. This is a swing, right? Our emotions
- 17:47Speaker 5: can take us up and down. Now he's cursing the day.
- 17:54Speaker 4: What?
- 17:55Speaker 5: This is one of the reasons I appreciate the honesty
- 17:59Speaker 5: of scripture. The Bible doesn't present Jeremiah as somebody who's
- 18:04Speaker 5: always had everything detailed. like he was perfect. He just
- 18:09Speaker 5: went through this thing like it was nothing. No, he struggled.
- 18:17Speaker 5: The prophet could praise God for his faithfulness while feeling
- 18:23Speaker 5: overwhelmed by the pain associated with this calling. Jeremiah reflects
- 18:32Speaker 5: the death of his discouragement rather than A rejection of God. Now,
- 18:42Speaker 5: sometimes Christians think, if I'm really trusting God, I shouldn't
- 18:47Speaker 5: feel like this. And that is a lie straight from
- 18:51Speaker 5: the pit of hell. That is not true at all.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Faith doesn't mean you never experience emotional pain. Faith means
- 19:01Speaker 5: you know where to take that pain. Jeremiah took it
- 19:05Speaker 5: to God. And that is important. And that's a word
- 19:10Speaker 5: for you today. If you're experiencing excruciating pain, don't take
- 19:18Speaker 5: it to the bottle. Don't take it to drugs. Don't
- 19:23Speaker 5: try to find comfort in food, in relationships. Take your
- 19:28Speaker 5: pain directly to God.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Amen.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Verse 15 and 16 says, Let the man be cursed
- 19:40Speaker 5: who brought news to my father saying a male child
- 19:45Speaker 5: has been born to you, making him very glad. and
- 19:52Speaker 5: let that man be like the cities, which the Lord
- 19:56Speaker 5: overthrew and did not relent. I'm thinking of, uh, maybe
- 20:02Speaker 5: Sodom and Gomorrah that was, uh, you know, burn fire
- 20:07Speaker 5: from heaven came down and burned up Sodom and Gomorrah
- 20:11Speaker 5: because of the sin of homosexuality.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Right?
- 20:15Speaker 5: He's talking about this man that brought news to his
- 20:20Speaker 5: father about his birth. He says, let him hear the
- 20:23Speaker 5: cry in the morning and the shouting at noon. Man,
- 20:32Speaker 5: our brother is going down to the valley, right? He
- 20:39Speaker 5: spoke about the man who brought his father the news
- 20:42Speaker 5: of his birth. Now he wished that that man be
- 20:45Speaker 5: like the cities that God overthrew. These are strong words,
- 20:54Speaker 5: incredibly strong words. Jeremiah is basically saying, I wish I
- 20:58Speaker 5: had never been born. He was overwhelmed at this time.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Now let's slow down right here. Jeremiah isn't giving us
- 21:13Speaker 5: a command. He's given us a picture of how deep
- 21:19Speaker 5: his despair had become. And that is a important distinction
- 21:26Speaker 5: right here. The Bible records people's emotions without necessarily approving
- 21:34Speaker 5: everything that they say. All right. David had emotions of despair,
- 21:41Speaker 5: just like Job. As I mentioned a few minutes ago,
- 21:45Speaker 5: Elijah became discouraged and he said that he wanted to die.
- 21:52Speaker 5: And Jeremiah became discouraged, just like these other prophets in
- 21:56Speaker 5: the Bible. God's servants have always been human. So if
- 22:04Speaker 5: you're going through something difficult, Don't be ashamed to admit it.
- 22:09Speaker 5: I'm struggling. Bring that struggle to God. Bring it to
- 22:13Speaker 5: the Lord. It's a safe place. And God wants us
- 22:19Speaker 5: to be honest and transparent. All right. Verse 17. Because
- 22:27Speaker 5: he did not kill me from the womb. That my
- 22:31Speaker 5: mother might have been my grave. And her womb always
- 22:36Speaker 5: enlarged with me. Man, now this is tough. And Maya
- 22:45Speaker 5: is really going through right now. It kind of sounds
- 22:49Speaker 5: like abortion, right? That my mother's womb would be my grave.
- 22:55Speaker 5: He wishes he was never born. Why? Because his calling
- 23:00Speaker 5: had brought him so much suffering. His pain is coming
- 23:06Speaker 5: from the circumstances surrounding his calling. He didn't choose this
- 23:11Speaker 5: assignment because it was easy. Actually, he didn't even choose
- 23:18Speaker 5: it at all. God chose him. God called him to
- 23:22Speaker 5: deliver an unpopular message to people who did not want
- 23:26Speaker 5: to hear this unpopular message. So Jeremiah paid a price
- 23:37Speaker 5: for being faithful to God. Now, here's something that we
- 23:41Speaker 5: need to remember. Sometimes obedience is costly. Following God doesn't
- 23:48Speaker 5: mean every road is going to be comfortable, but difficulty
- 23:54Speaker 5: doesn't mean God has abandoned you.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Amen.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Amen. All right. Verse 18. And then we will finish
- 24:06Speaker 5: a whole nother chapter.
- 24:08Speaker 6: Amen.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Why did I come forth from the womb to see
- 24:19Speaker 5: labor and sorrow that my days should be consumed with shame? Wow.
- 24:27Speaker 5: Now that is a, a place that is a weird place. Well,
- 24:36Speaker 5: not weird. This is scripture, but we leave this chair,
- 24:40Speaker 5: this chapter in Jeremiah is in this place of despair
- 24:45Speaker 5: asking why was he even born? Now, I believe this
- 24:51Speaker 5: chapter is this word, should I say, is for us
- 24:58Speaker 5: today because no doubt, The days ahead of us as Christians,
- 25:05Speaker 5: as believers, are about to become more difficult. Now, the
- 25:11Speaker 5: Bible tells us, the scripture tells us, the Bible speaks
- 25:16Speaker 5: of the Antichrist beast system that is coming upon the earth.
- 25:23Speaker 5: And the Bible speaks of a great tribulation. Now, the
- 25:27Speaker 5: great tribulation is for the world, but It has been
- 25:33Speaker 5: difficult for the body of Christ, for believers, for 2,000 years.
- 25:40Speaker 5: We just don't see it because we live in the
- 25:43Speaker 5: United States of America. We live in a free country.
- 25:47Speaker 5: But countries all around the world have been persecuting Christians.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Our brothers and sisters have been experiencing difficult times all
- 25:56Speaker 5: over the country, all over the.
- 25:58Speaker 6: World, I mean.
- 26:00Speaker 5: But the day will come. And because the Bible tells
- 26:04Speaker 5: us that our calling and our faithfulness to the Lord
- 26:11Speaker 5: in the United States one day will be very difficult
- 26:16Speaker 5: and unbearable without the help of the Lord. We got
- 26:21Speaker 5: to be just like our brother Jeremiah. Even though we
- 26:25Speaker 5: may be going through it, we need to bring our
- 26:30Speaker 5: troubles to the Lord.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Amen.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Now, what we can take away from today's lesson is
- 26:39Speaker 5: God is with you even when people are against you. Amen.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Aren't you glad for that? You can praise God while
- 26:49Speaker 5: you are still in the midst of your struggles. Faith
- 26:54Speaker 5: doesn't mean you never feel discouraged. Amen. And God knows
- 27:01Speaker 5: your heart better than anyone else. Your emotions are real,
- 27:07Speaker 5: but they don't have to control you. We don't have
- 27:11Speaker 5: to make our permanent decisions based on emotions. Obedience can
- 27:19Speaker 5: be costly, but God remains faithful. Now, don't confuse a
- 27:25Speaker 5: difficult season with God's absence. Even though Jeremiah felt overwhelmed,
- 27:34Speaker 5: God did not abandon him. And that may be true
- 27:39Speaker 5: for you today. You might feel overwhelmed. But God has
- 27:44Speaker 5: not abandoned you either. Amen. Let's take a quick break.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Listening to the light of Las Vegas. This is the
- 27:54Speaker 3: His Hop Radio Show.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I could have told you never love a chick. Made
- 28:15Speaker 2: it sound tougher just to bust it down and cut
- 28:17Speaker 2: a chick. Bunch of hits calling you a sucker if
- 28:20Speaker 2: you cover. So you went and stuck your bun up
- 28:22Speaker 2: in the oven of another chick. Now you got a
- 28:25Speaker 2: couple kids by a couple chicks.
- 28:27Speaker 6: Got them papers.

- 32:20Speaker 5: our brothers staying faithful to the call. Amen. Want to
- 32:26Speaker 5: give a huge shout out to the live chat and
- 32:29Speaker 5: to our community partners. our online community that we are building.
- 32:34Speaker 5: We are holding each other accountable. We're praying for each other.

- 32:44Speaker 5: Champ challenges and all that. So we have two. We
- 32:49Speaker 5: have a live chat that we log into. We log
- 32:52Speaker 5: into there first so we can talk and interact with
- 32:55Speaker 5: each other as the podcast is going. And then we
- 32:58Speaker 5: go to the community page so that we can do
- 33:01Speaker 5: our contest, our trivia challenges, and so that we can
- 33:05Speaker 5: build our online community. So meet us in both places
- 33:09Speaker 5: every day at 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Amen. All right,
- 33:18Speaker 5: now it's time for the accountability partner. So we give
- 33:23Speaker 5: you a daily challenge in today's challenge. Call your partner, text, email,
- 33:28Speaker 5: however you communicate and ask them. When I become discouraged,
- 33:35Speaker 5: what do you notice about me that I may not
- 33:40Speaker 5: recognize in myself? Once again, when I become discouraged, what
- 33:47Speaker 5: do you recognize or notice about me? But I do
- 33:51Speaker 5: not recognize within myself and then let them answer honestly.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Don't interrupt the conversation.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:59Speaker 5: Just listen. Let them talk. It could be your wife.
- 34:02Speaker 5: It could be your child.
- 34:04Speaker 6: Right.
- 34:05Speaker 5: It's good for us to allow ourselves to be held accountable.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Do not defend yourself. Just listen. Then ask, what can
- 34:17Speaker 5: you do to help me stay focused when I'm discouraged? Now,
- 34:24Speaker 5: that is what accountability is supposed to do. Not just
- 34:28Speaker 5: celebrate your victories, but help you survive when you're going
- 34:33Speaker 5: through your most difficult seasons. Amen. We are supposed to
- 34:39Speaker 5: help each other get through these difficult times. Alright, now
- 34:48Speaker 5: I want to remind you that His Hot Radio is
- 34:50Speaker 5: a monitored and a reporting radio station. If you have

- 35:48Speaker 5: our trivia challenge. So today's challenge is in verse 11,
- 35:58Speaker 5: what specific description does Jeremiah use for the Lord? And
- 36:05Speaker 5: in verse 13, what does Jeremiah tell the people to do?
- 36:10Speaker 5: Because the Lord has delivered the soul of the poor
- 36:15Speaker 5: from the evil doers. Let me read that again. In
- 36:21Speaker 5: verse 11, what specific description does Jeremiah use for the Lord?
- 36:26Speaker 5: And in verse 13, what does Jeremiah tell the people
- 36:30Speaker 5: to do? Because the Lord has delivered the soul of
- 36:35Speaker 5: the poor from the evil doers. The first one to
- 36:40Speaker 5: answer will be trivia champion for today also I want
- 36:49Speaker 5: to give a huge community shout out if you have
- 36:52Speaker 5: an event or if you have an outreach or something
- 36:57Speaker 5: like that going on let us know we would love
- 37:01Speaker 5: to announce it here in the radio we are a
- 37:03Speaker 5: community radio station we just had a great event at
- 37:07Speaker 5: the resort world We have another event coming up at Doolittle.
- 37:15Speaker 5: I still need to put the fire out. I have
- 37:17Speaker 5: to do that today. I said that last episode, but
- 37:19Speaker 5: I definitely got to do it today because I want
- 37:21Speaker 5: y'all to come out. If y'all want to minister zone three,
- 37:28Speaker 5: if you are available, this would be a great shot.
- 37:31Speaker 5: We could do is going to be outside. There's a
- 37:35Speaker 5: lot of momentum build up for this event. So check
- 37:40Speaker 5: out our calendar after this podcast. It should be up.
- 37:45Speaker 5: It should be up. I need to put it out there.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Start putting it on social media. Let the community know
- 37:51Speaker 5: that we are coming. And also, if you want to
- 37:55Speaker 5: get a recap of some of our events that we've
- 37:58Speaker 5: already done, there's a section on the app. Just click
- 38:03Speaker 5: on the top left menu. Click on events and then
- 38:06Speaker 5: you can click on event recap and you can just
- 38:09Speaker 5: kind of See, go through the pictures, go through some
- 38:12Speaker 5: of the highlights of the events that we've already done.
- 38:17Speaker 5: All right, beloved. At this point, I want to let
- 38:30Speaker 5: you know that His Hour Radio is a monitored, I mean,
- 38:33Speaker 5: a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We opened up a club, a 5,000
- 38:42Speaker 5: square foot warehouse. We turned it into a nightclub or
- 38:47Speaker 5: should I say a light club, a Christian hip hop club.
- 38:49Speaker 5: We poured into our community. We saw people saved, healed,
- 38:56Speaker 5: delivered and set free. And so we're looking to reopen
- 39:01Speaker 5: Club His Hop Las Vegas. We need the space. We
- 39:04Speaker 5: need a new building. And that is why we became
- 39:08Speaker 5: a nonprofit, so people can support us, donate, and you
- 39:13Speaker 5: can write it off on your taxes. If you'd like
- 39:18Speaker 5: to sow into this vision, just head on over to
- 39:22Speaker 5: our website, hishopnation.com. There's donation tabs you can find there,
- 39:27Speaker 5: or you can donate on the app, His Hop Radio
- 39:29Speaker 5: and all platforms. we're looking for monthly supporters if you
- 39:34Speaker 5: want to give annually that's fine we're looking for sponsors
- 39:39Speaker 5: we're looking for grants grant writers if you have any
- 39:43Speaker 5: info please let us know And also, we want to
- 39:48Speaker 5: let you know that we're running a couple of contests.
- 39:50Speaker 5: We have a monthly raffle that we do. 50-50 raffle.
- 39:56Speaker 5: You can buy your raffle ticket on the app or website.
- 40:01Speaker 5: And 50-50 means is that however big the pot gets,
- 40:05Speaker 5: the winner gets 50% of it. So if it's 10 grand,
- 40:09Speaker 5: you get 5 grand out of the pot total. Also,
- 40:14Speaker 5: the more tickets you buy, the more chances you have
- 40:17Speaker 5: to win. And we also have a football challenge. If
- 40:24Speaker 5: you pick the right team throughout the season, you can
- 40:27Speaker 5: win 50 grand. So we have a lot of activity,
- 40:33Speaker 5: a lot of things that we got going. If you
- 40:35Speaker 5: would like to be a sponsor, be a part of it,
- 40:38Speaker 5: let us know. So with that, beloved, let's close out.
- 40:44Speaker 5: I have some remarks. Right, Jeremiah says, the Lord is
- 40:49Speaker 5: with me. Then he praises God. Then he says, cursed
- 40:53Speaker 5: be the day when I was born. That is being
- 40:57Speaker 5: completely human, right? That's a lot of emotion in just
- 41:01Speaker 5: a few verses right there. But that's what makes this
- 41:06Speaker 5: passage so relatable. Sometimes our faith And frustration exists at
- 41:13Speaker 5: the same time, right? The kid occupies space in the
- 41:17Speaker 5: same heart, but you can know God is with you
- 41:23Speaker 5: and still have a hard day. Man, I can completely
- 41:29Speaker 5: relate to this brother. You can praise God and still
- 41:34Speaker 5: be hurting. You can trust him and still have questions,
- 41:38Speaker 5: but The key is not pretending that everything is OK.
- 41:44Speaker 5: The key is taking your pain to God instead of
- 41:49Speaker 5: allowing your pain to take you away from God. Amen.
- 41:54Speaker 5: That's a T-shirt right there. Take your pain to God
- 41:59Speaker 5: and not allow your pain to take you away from God. Yes,
- 42:03Speaker 5: Jeremiah was hurting, but he kept talking to God. And
- 42:06Speaker 5: that's what I want us to do. If you're discouraged,
- 42:11Speaker 5: talk to God. If you're angry, talk to God. If
- 42:16Speaker 5: you are confused, talk to God. If you're tired, talk
- 42:22Speaker 5: to God. Do not isolate yourself. Don't make permitted decisions
- 42:28Speaker 5: based on temporary emotions. And don't assume that because the
- 42:34Speaker 5: road is difficult, God isn't with you. Sometimes the greatest
- 42:40Speaker 5: evidence of faith isn't that you never struggle. Sometimes is
- 42:46Speaker 5: that you keep coming back to God in the middle
- 42:50Speaker 5: of the struggle. So keep going, praying, trusting. And remember
- 42:56Speaker 5: Jeremiah's declaration, the Lord is with me. Hallelujah. Remember, it's
- 43:04Speaker 5: not about us. It's all about the Christ in us.
- 43:07Speaker 5: God bless.
- 43:09Speaker 6: You are listening to.
- 43:10Speaker 3: The Light of Las Vegas. This is the HizHop Radio Show.
