Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: K K Klan. Gentlemen, May I have your attention please.
- 0:57Speaker 1: The show starts in.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Hard good evening and welcome to Believe in the Journey Podcast, y'all.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I think I made a mistake by putting this great
- 1:25Speaker 2: sweater on tonight because it matches my brackground, so all
- 1:28Speaker 2: you can see is my head. But anyway, thank you
- 1:31Speaker 2: for tuning in to Believing the Journey Podcast, where I'm
- 1:34Speaker 2: your host, Trevita Harris. We are coming up on the
- 1:38Speaker 2: end of season three. There are only three shows left
- 1:43Speaker 2: in this season. I'm not gonna be before you, guys
- 1:46Speaker 2: long only because my guest got sick.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yesterday and so she's not feeling good today.
- 1:53Speaker 2: She thought she would be feeling better before showtime, but
- 1:58Speaker 2: it's better to take care of your health.
- 1:59Speaker 3: We can always reschedule and do this another time.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I'm still a little worn out and exhausted from the
- 2:06Speaker 2: baby shower.
- 2:08Speaker 3: For my daughter yesterday, and so.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It was an exciting day yesterday, nothing short of amazing.
- 2:17Speaker 3: We're welcoming a new little baby.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Girl come January of next year, so just keep my
- 2:25Speaker 2: daughter in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery
- 2:29Speaker 2: of little Sonaia that is a name so, but before
- 2:33Speaker 2: we do anything, let's go to God in prayer. Dear
- 2:36Speaker 2: Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me this opportunity in
- 2:39Speaker 2: the space to speak to anyone that decides to listen
- 2:42Speaker 2: and tune in tonight. I don't have many words to say,
- 2:45Speaker 2: but please allow me to deliver any words that you
- 2:49Speaker 2: give to me. I thank you for all that you do,
- 2:53Speaker 2: because everything that you do for me is why I
- 2:56Speaker 2: am able to walk on the path and the destination
- 2:59Speaker 2: that you have for me. Let the words of my
- 3:01Speaker 2: mouth fall upon the ears that needs to hear, and
- 3:03Speaker 2: your precious and holy name.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Jesus, I pray amen.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I still have this call that I've been dealing with
- 3:11Speaker 2: for the last couple of months. One thing that I
- 3:14Speaker 2: want to talk about tonight, which I really don't have
- 3:18Speaker 2: a certain topic or subject, is blended families. We don't
- 3:23Speaker 2: talk about that enough, and yesterday was one of those
- 3:27Speaker 2: moments where it was my family, my daughter's boyfriend's family,
- 3:35Speaker 2: and then my fiance and his family. We collectively got
- 3:41Speaker 2: together to celebrate my daughter and welcoming the beginning of
- 3:46Speaker 2: welcoming a new little addition to the family. And I
- 3:50Speaker 2: think sometimes blended families don't always go very well because of.
- 4:01Speaker 3: People who don't really know how to be an adult.
- 4:04Speaker 2: In situations like that, they tend to hold on to animosity, hurt,
- 4:10Speaker 2: and pain more.
- 4:13Speaker 3: So than anything.
- 4:15Speaker 2: But yesterday was a true experience of what it means
- 4:22Speaker 2: to come together with love and one agenda and one purpose,
- 4:28Speaker 2: and that was that it truly does take a village
- 4:31Speaker 2: and when you have a strong support system around you,
- 4:35Speaker 2: that anything is possible. And we had a great time.
- 4:40Speaker 2: We had great food, great laughter, the games that we played.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It was a truly good experience. Also it also brought into.
- 4:55Speaker 3: The mind of life and death.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And I say that because just last week, last well
- 5:05Speaker 2: this past Monday, honestly, we buried my great aunt and
- 5:10Speaker 2: during that same week my aunt, my great aunt, passed
- 5:13Speaker 2: away on October the twenty fifth, My birthday was October
- 5:16Speaker 2: to twenty ninth. We had her homegoing service on November third,
- 5:22Speaker 2: which was Monday, and then yesterday we had a baby shower.
- 5:26Speaker 2: So life and death is one of those things that
- 5:32Speaker 2: you're living in one moment and you're leaving the next.
- 5:37Speaker 2: And I don't think we talk about death as knowing
- 5:41Speaker 2: that it is coming. We all have an expiration date.
- 5:45Speaker 2: We all have a date to go home, just like
- 5:48Speaker 2: we have the date to come here.
- 5:49Speaker 3: But we never really talked much about.
- 5:55Speaker 2: X frying, which we know that that is going to happen,
- 5:58Speaker 2: and I think that we don't talk about it in
- 6:02Speaker 2: the sense of no one likes to talk about it
- 6:05Speaker 2: because if you're talking about it, that means that you're
- 6:10Speaker 2: no longer going to be here. But if you are
- 6:13Speaker 2: living a life that is designed by God and you're
- 6:17Speaker 2: following his instructions and you're being obedient, then the life
- 6:20Speaker 2: that you live every day it should be celebrated. We
- 6:23Speaker 2: shouldn't wait till you know birthdays and holidays and baby
- 6:29Speaker 2: showers and things of that nature to celebrate life every
- 6:32Speaker 2: day that your granted time here on this earth is
- 6:35Speaker 2: a moment where you should be celebrating.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Hey girl, how you doing.
- 6:42Speaker 2: That? Life is a beautiful thing and we need to
- 6:45Speaker 2: learn how to live life to the fullest each and
- 6:49Speaker 2: every day that we're above ground, because our time is
- 6:53Speaker 2: coming near.
- 6:54Speaker 3: The older we get, the closer we are getting to
- 6:59Speaker 3: our expiration date.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But also, I've read so many rest in peace sending
- 7:06Speaker 2: my condolences my prayers. So if you have not gotten
- 7:11Speaker 2: right with God, Please start building that relationship and learning
- 7:15Speaker 2: that God is is the way you know if you
- 7:21Speaker 2: don't have a relationship with him, if you feel like
- 7:23Speaker 2: he's not listening to you, he's not there for you.
- 7:26Speaker 2: But when was the last time you actually took time
- 7:28Speaker 2: to talk to him? When was the last time you
- 7:30Speaker 2: called upon God? When was the last time you set
- 7:33Speaker 2: aside some time to sit and talk with him? Because
- 7:36Speaker 2: he has all the time, it's up to you. You
- 7:39Speaker 2: constantly saying you're busy, you got this going on, you
- 7:42Speaker 2: got that going on, but you've never taken the time
- 7:45Speaker 2: to sit down and actually talk to God.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Because I'm sure he's.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Talking to you, but you choose to ignore him because
- 7:50Speaker 2: he's not coming in the way that you feel like
- 7:53Speaker 2: you can receive him. Because God doesn't always answer us
- 7:56Speaker 2: in the way that we feel or with the way
- 7:59Speaker 2: that we hear it. That's why half the time, when
- 8:02Speaker 2: he's answering our prayers, it doesn't look like what we
- 8:05Speaker 2: envisioned it to look like. Because God is God all
- 8:08Speaker 2: by himself, all he needs is for us to be
- 8:10Speaker 2: obedient to what he's calling us to do. If you
- 8:16Speaker 2: holding on to a grudge with somebody, let that go,
- 8:19Speaker 2: because you don't want to be living with regret, living
- 8:24Speaker 2: in a space to where I wish I could have
- 8:26Speaker 2: said this, I wish I had said this, I wish
- 8:28Speaker 2: I had done this or whatever. That's a lifetime of
- 8:33Speaker 2: regret that you don't want to live with. That's a
- 8:36Speaker 2: lifetime of pain and regret that will linger forever. So
- 8:41Speaker 2: if you have an opportunity to tell somebody you love them,
- 8:45Speaker 2: if you have an opportunity to tell somebody how much
- 8:47Speaker 2: you appreciate them, no matter how big or how small,
- 8:50Speaker 2: make sure that you're doing that now because you don't
- 8:53Speaker 2: want to be in a space where you're living with
- 8:56Speaker 2: I wish I had or I wish I could, because
- 9:00Speaker 2: I definitely wish I could have more time with my mom,
- 9:03Speaker 2: but I knew that.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Her time was up.
- 9:05Speaker 2: But I did make sure that I said everything that
- 9:08Speaker 2: I needed to say before she left here, because I
- 9:12Speaker 2: don't have those moments where it's like, what, had I
- 9:15Speaker 2: just told my mom this, or had I just told
- 9:17Speaker 2: her that.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I told her.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Everything that I needed her to hear while she was
- 9:22Speaker 2: here and able to still hear me, because when they're
- 9:25Speaker 2: going on to the other side, the hearing is the
- 9:29Speaker 2: last thing to go, and I knew that she could
- 9:32Speaker 2: hear everything that I was saying. She couldn't respond anymore,
- 9:37Speaker 2: but she could hear me. And that time that we
- 9:40Speaker 2: shared was truly, truly special. So don't wait, and tomorrow
- 9:45Speaker 2: could be any one of ours last days. So make
- 9:49Speaker 2: sure that you get right with God. Make sure that
- 9:52Speaker 2: you are building a relationship with him, because only you
- 9:55Speaker 2: and him can have a relationship. When they say get
- 9:57Speaker 2: to know God for yourself, that is something that.
- 9:59Speaker 3: You need to do.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Don't be dependent upon somebody else's relationship to get you
- 10:04Speaker 2: in to heaven because what they eat and what they
- 10:07Speaker 2: do is not gonna be your ticket to the upper room.
- 10:12Speaker 3: It's just don't.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Work that way because God ain't gonna ask you about
- 10:16Speaker 2: somebody else when you get there. He's gonna ask you
- 10:19Speaker 2: about what you've done, because it is your responsibility to
- 10:24Speaker 2: make sure that you are doing what you have been
- 10:26Speaker 2: called to do. Now, everybody walking this earth is not
- 10:30Speaker 2: perfect because we are imperfect beings. But in His image
- 10:34Speaker 2: and his eyes, we are perfect. But we still fall
- 10:37Speaker 2: short every each and every day. That is why repentance
- 10:41Speaker 2: is important. So just make sure that you're doing what
- 10:43Speaker 2: you're supposed to be doing, going forth and loving on people,
- 10:49Speaker 2: telling them how much you appreciate them, telling them how
- 10:52Speaker 2: much you value them. If you are scared to step
- 10:56Speaker 2: out on faith because God is giving you a vision
- 10:59Speaker 2: and you afraid that you won't get support in it,
- 11:04Speaker 2: how do you know what support you're gonna get if
- 11:06Speaker 2: you never get started, If you've never taken an opportunity
- 11:10Speaker 2: to get started on anything, but God keeps telling you
- 11:13Speaker 2: I have something greater for you, but you are still
- 11:16Speaker 2: afraid standing on the sidelines. But you want to learn
- 11:20Speaker 2: to swim, but you won't even get.
- 11:22Speaker 3: In the water. Make it make sense.
- 11:24Speaker 2: You got to be able to do what God is
- 11:27Speaker 2: calling you to do, because He's not gonna provide you
- 11:29Speaker 2: with a vision. If he's not gonna provide the provisions
- 11:31Speaker 2: for it, That's just not the kind of guy we serve.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So keep doing what you guys have don I thank
- 11:38Speaker 2: you guys so much for tuning in to believe in
- 11:41Speaker 2: the journey this season. Season three has definitely been a
- 11:45Speaker 2: wonderful season, and I am coming back for season four.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I don't know what God has in store, but each
- 11:52Speaker 2: and every season he always tends to blow my mind
- 11:56Speaker 2: and providing me with the guests and the timing that
- 11:59Speaker 2: I need and always provides confirmation for whatever it is
- 12:07Speaker 2: that I have going on. Oh, just to give you
- 12:10Speaker 2: guys a heads up, I have created a coloring book
- 12:13Speaker 2: and it is called Breaking the Cocoon Becoming and it's
- 12:17Speaker 2: basically a coloring book that gives positive affirmations and.
- 12:26Speaker 3: It talks about coming out of.
- 12:29Speaker 2: The cocoon because we all are going through different challenges
- 12:34Speaker 2: and transforming different aspects and avenues of our life.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And so when you are able.
- 12:40Speaker 2: To break free of any situation that you're going you
- 12:44Speaker 2: are giving your wings a little bit more color, a
- 12:48Speaker 2: little bit more shine, and so it's becoming the best
- 12:51Speaker 2: version of yourself, and so be on the lookout for that.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The other book is a ninety day devotional. It is
- 12:58Speaker 2: called Her Path Its Purpose, and it gives you week
- 13:03Speaker 2: by week. It's thirteen weeks and of course night not
- 13:06Speaker 2: to day, so it gives you a lot of different
- 13:09Speaker 2: things for you to look at and reflection, questions, affirmations,
- 13:15Speaker 2: a scripture, and a devotion. So it's a good little
- 13:19Speaker 2: book to be on the lookout for. I'll let you
- 13:21Speaker 2: guys know if you want a pre order, you can
- 13:24Speaker 2: either one. It is just reach out to me and
- 13:27Speaker 2: I'll send you the information. But that's all I got
- 13:31Speaker 2: for you guys tonight. I am still exhausted. My body
- 13:34Speaker 2: is still very sore because I was doing some plumb
- 13:37Speaker 2: because y'all know, I'm sure I can't reach nothing. So
- 13:42Speaker 2: it was an interesting but very love feel that yesterday,
- 13:47Speaker 2: and I am grateful that I'm able to feel the
- 13:50Speaker 2: pain that I feel.
- 13:52Speaker 3: But I thank you guys for tuning in.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Like I said, I was not going to keep you
- 13:55Speaker 2: guys long tonight, and if it seemed like I was rambling,
- 13:59Speaker 2: I probably was because, as I said, I am tired,
- 14:02Speaker 2: but it's a good tired and I love you guys,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and I hope you guys tune in on December.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Not December. We're still in November.
- 14:10Speaker 2: November the twenty seventh is the next day, which is
- 14:13Speaker 2: Thanksgiving Day, I believe this year, and we're just gonna
- 14:19Speaker 2: talk about how thankful we are that God has brought
- 14:22Speaker 2: us to seeing Thanksgiving. It's more about not just sharing
- 14:27Speaker 2: the meal, the food or anything, but being thankful for
- 14:30Speaker 2: the life that God has provided for us, the blessings
- 14:33Speaker 2: that He continues to bestow upon us with each and
- 14:35Speaker 2: every day that he grants us on this side.
- 14:38Speaker 3: So that is what the Thanksgiving show is going to
- 14:40Speaker 3: be about.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So I will probably be surrounded by family and friends.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So if you would like to be part of this show,
- 14:46Speaker 2: please reach out and let me know and we will
- 14:49Speaker 2: make that happen. But I love you, guys, and thank
- 14:51Speaker 2: you so much for tuning in, and I'll see you
- 14:53Speaker 2: guys on Thanksgiving. Good night.
- 15:01Speaker 1: As a
