From breaking racial barriers as North Carolina’s first Black assistant district attorney to founding his own law firm and later serving as an assistant public defender, Davis embodied unwavering dedication to equity. His legacy lives on through his family, friends, and the causes he championed—donate in his honor to the Southern Poverty Law Center or ACLU.
