- 0:00Speaker 1: Listen. I got a couple of things here. So this
- 0:02Speaker 1: morning I listened. I listened to the some network news
- 0:06Speaker 1: on the radio while I'm getting stuff ready, and there
- 0:10Speaker 1: was this story and and here's the way they did it.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Ben Affleck has joined his pal Matt Damon in becoming
- 0:17Speaker 1: a million dollar champion in celebrity who wants to be
- 0:21Speaker 1: a millionaire spoilers? He He answered the final question along
- 0:27Speaker 1: with his partner, which read, an annual Thanksgiving tradition, all
- 0:33Speaker 1: but one of these have been the names of turkey's
- 0:35Speaker 1: pardoned by the US President. Okay, and that's where they
- 0:38Speaker 1: ended it. They didn't do any more. I mean, they're
- 0:41Speaker 1: already spoiling it. He knew that, She says, he knew
- 0:44Speaker 1: the names of the.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Has it not run yet?
- 0:47Speaker 3: It apparently ran last night. Oh and we watched it
- 0:51Speaker 3: a couple of days after that. So so we watched
- 0:55Speaker 3: the build up to this one. You know where they
- 0:57Speaker 3: got up to it. I think this last two questions.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But they just made me mad. They say they didn't
- 1:04Speaker 1: say by he because they knew the name of the
- 1:07Speaker 1: Thanksgiving turkeys that were pardoned. Well, what were the names? Yeah?
- 1:11Speaker 4: To Carrie's point, though, it's for people that want to
- 1:14Speaker 4: watch it. They don't want to give it away.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, but if the show aired last night, fine,
- 1:19Speaker 1: I mean, you know, but I go to bed. I'm sorry,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, that's why I watch it later. Okay, should
- 1:25Speaker 1: I not tell you the names? Are they there? Yes?
- 1:29Speaker 3: Oh you've already spoiled the fact that he gets the million.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yeah as well. Possible answers include peanut, butter and jelly.
- 1:40Speaker 3: So so the question is in an annual Thanksgiving tradition,
- 1:43Speaker 3: all but which of these have been the names of
- 1:47Speaker 3: Turkey's pardoned by a US president?
- 1:49Speaker 1: All but which of these? So one of them has not?
- 1:52Speaker 1: One of them is not? Okay, peanut butter and jelly,
- 1:55Speaker 1: tater and tot, mac and cheese, and spaghetti and meatball.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I would guess spaghetti and meatball. But of course i'd
- 2:04Speaker 3: phoned my friend Matt Damon.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I ask him. I'm not going to tell you what
- 2:11Speaker 1: the answer is.
- 2:12Speaker 2: You're saying the story they should have at least listed.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Those something something. Yeah, now see I thought it was.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I mean to me, it's like, Okay, he won the
- 2:21Speaker 1: money and everybody knows about it, and then name. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: don't think that they omitted the names because they didn't
- 2:27Speaker 1: want to spoil it. I'm pretty surely.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I think if it was just last night, that you
- 2:31Speaker 4: should wait a while for a spoiler.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And that's not everybody.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I think most people don't watch things the minute they
- 2:38Speaker 4: run anymore.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Watched things on our own time.
- 2:41Speaker 3: All this show.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 2:44Speaker 1: People don't listen to Yeah, so I could go ahead
- 2:47Speaker 1: and just spoil it by giving you the name and
- 2:48Speaker 1: people wouldn't hear it, and tell thrill and then one
- 2:53Speaker 1: other things. You know, I've been ruminating over something you
- 2:56Speaker 1: said yesterday. Okay, then really just just I can't get
- 2:59Speaker 1: it out of my head. It's been okay, that's been
- 3:02Speaker 1: kind of bugging me and I don't know, it's kind
- 3:04Speaker 1: of upsetting in a way. I'm sorry.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Something that Ginas said.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yea, yeah, I know usually it's in one or any
- 3:16Speaker 1: but you said yesterday, and I'm going to quote you,
- 3:19Speaker 1: I think almost exactly. You know, you can buy a
- 3:22Speaker 1: half a pie at Harmon's. Yeah, that is so troubling,
- 3:28Speaker 1: so upsetting to me.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Why is that upsetting to you?
- 3:31Speaker 1: That's the thing she said yesterday?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Something, Yeah, you can buy half a pie.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's why would you want to do that.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's a revelation.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Listen, listen, you can have half a pie. Half a
- 3:42Speaker 1: pie is mutilation, is what it is. It's not a revelation,
- 3:45Speaker 1: it's mutilation. It's mutilating a good.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Pie, especially now that that I am almost an empty nester,
- 3:54Speaker 4: and I pretty much am because Mohammed, my son, not
- 3:58Speaker 4: the prophet, is never home. He doesn't eat dinner with
- 4:01Speaker 4: us hardly ever anymore. So if Joe and I want
- 4:05Speaker 4: a little sweet after dinner, if we bought a whole pie,
- 4:09Speaker 4: it would go bad.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Or we ate them.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You and Jonie to put on your big boy pants
- 4:15Speaker 1: and eat a pie you can have now. I have
- 4:20Speaker 1: no objections to someone serving a slice of pie, but
- 4:23Speaker 1: half a pie is just wrong. I've seen I've seen
- 4:27Speaker 1: them in there. I look at them and I go,
- 4:29Speaker 1: oh my god.
- 4:30Speaker 3: It depends on your definition of slice.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Well, yeah, maybe the pie.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I I am a big fan of the half a pie.
- 4:39Speaker 1: If you if you you just buy it, you need
- 4:41Speaker 1: to buy a whole pie and go for it.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I feel like we throw I feel.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Like next time and next time you buy meat by
- 4:47Speaker 3: the whole cow, half.
- 4:49Speaker 1: A cow, don't buy half a cow.
- 4:52Speaker 2: But there you go, it's it's uh.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I've seen them, and I just being slightly honest about it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I think they look weird. It looks weird.
- 5:05Speaker 2: They have special containers half them.
- 5:09Speaker 4: It's not like you're in a whole pie container and
- 5:11Speaker 4: it slides around. It's a special half a pie. I know,
- 5:14Speaker 4: Harmon's I thank you for the half a pie. I'm
- 5:17Speaker 4: a I'm a big fan.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Listen, I say, I say you you should either have
- 5:21Speaker 1: a whole pie. Now, how about what this? Why don't
- 5:24Speaker 1: you and Joe just each buy a hand pie?
- 5:28Speaker 3: Okay, that's idea far from where you are, because you're
- 5:32Speaker 3: ninth to ninth right, I fight there, I fight I
- 5:35Speaker 3: hand pies.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't have. I don't have any.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Well, and Harmons sell slices of pie too. They sell
- 5:41Speaker 4: half a pie and they sell slices.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I don't know, just a half a pie seems wrong.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But what kind of pie were you buying? I mean,
- 5:49Speaker 1: I can't imagine you what pie you would eat? Oh?
- 5:52Speaker 4: We get they have all kinds well, no, I mean
- 5:55Speaker 4: you you eat all kinds of pie.
- 5:57Speaker 3: I know they have all kinds of pie. But what
- 5:58Speaker 3: pie raising buy?
- 6:00Speaker 1: You know?
- 6:00Speaker 4: Not raising apple? They have a key lime. They have chocolate.
- 6:05Speaker 4: They have.
- 6:07Speaker 2: We had a mixed berry pie.
- 6:09Speaker 1: They're very good.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they do a good pie, aren't you.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Aren't you concerned about what's in the key lime pie?
- 6:16Speaker 2: Why would I be concerned about it?
- 6:17Speaker 3: There's no cheese it there might be something in there
- 6:20Speaker 3: that you don't I like with.
- 6:22Speaker 2: A gram cracker crust. Are you kidding me?
- 6:24Speaker 1: A whole pie is just better?
- 6:26Speaker 2: I don't disagree.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I just think we're being We would not eat it
- 6:31Speaker 4: all before it went bad.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You've got to learn how to do it. You You
- 6:38Speaker 1: owe it to the pie to not let it be mutilated.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And so made a.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Whole pie, and do you eat it before it goes better? No,
- 6:47Speaker 3: we didn't see you, or you can give it away.
- 6:51Speaker 3: And I gave some to Jay.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You came to visit.
- 6:55Speaker 3: But it was the lemon pie, and it was like,
- 6:57Speaker 3: you know, put the lemon in the freezer. I would why,
- 7:01Speaker 3: I'm going to make a pie in a few days,
- 7:04Speaker 3: And she wound up grinding up the entire lemon pretty
- 7:07Speaker 3: much into this lemon pie.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Is there a meringue of some kind?
- 7:12Speaker 1: No, there was cream quick cream. It was like a
- 7:16Speaker 1: cream pie.
- 7:17Speaker 3: So it was like a key.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Lime lemon pie.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Someone says half a pie half loaves of bread, giving
- 7:24Speaker 4: off recession vibes. Yeah, you can get a half a
- 7:27Speaker 4: loaf of bread, and we do. Somebody else says half
- 7:32Speaker 4: a pie is a good band name.
- 7:34Speaker 3: We get the half loaf of bread because we are
- 7:36Speaker 3: the ultimate empty nesters.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Yeah, you've never had anyone, We've never had kids.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Now here here. So this is what I would do.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I would buy half a loaf of bread and half
- 7:45Speaker 1: a pie and put them together. What if, Bill, you.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Get two halves of different kinds of pie and then
- 7:52Speaker 4: you have a variety pie.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I just maybe they'll I think that that then the
- 7:59Speaker 1: other half was left behind would feel lonely.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Oh. Nick says, we're never nestors. That's what that's never
- 8:06Speaker 3: never never nestors.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't be empty nesters because there was never
- 8:10Speaker 1: anything in the nest We're never nestors. Well anyway,
