- 0:01Speaker 1: Meet me at the waterfront after the social.
- 0:10Speaker 2: This is JT's Brain.
- 0:11Speaker 3: This is Eggs Benedict.
- 0:12Speaker 4: Hey, I'm Felicia Rose.
- 0:14Speaker 2: And I'm Eggs Benedict.
- 0:15Speaker 5: And we want you to listen.
- 0:17Speaker 2: To Movie Meltdown. Movie Meltdown, Movie Meltdown, Movie Meltdown.
- 0:22Speaker 6: Www.moviemeltdown.com All disclaimers and rights reserved.
- 0:25Speaker 3: 1974. Thank you.
- 0:28Speaker 7: When I look.
- 0:39Speaker 8: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:42Speaker 8: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:44Speaker 8: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:48Speaker 8: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:51Speaker 8: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:53Speaker 8: from that do not feature Misty and will probably be
- 0:55Speaker 8: far less offensive. Okay, maybe. That having been said, on
- 1:00Speaker 8: with the show.
- 1:01Speaker 5: It's showtime.
- 1:02Speaker 9: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:49Speaker 2: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 1:52Speaker 5: I'm Misty.
- 1:53Speaker 8: And I'm Jay.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And we're coming to you live via digital recording from
- 1:56Speaker 2: the Oddity Studios for this year's Scarefest Wrap-Up. It's been
- 2:02Speaker 2: a pretty exciting day, hasn't it?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Oh, my God. There was a plethora of excitement. I
- 2:07Speaker 5: can't even begin. I don't even know where to start.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Mostly all in the Phyllis area.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Dude, I can't even. She is so ridiculously adorable. She
- 2:18Speaker 5: is like the nicest person, and she's very huggy, which
- 2:22Speaker 5: usually might kind of put me off a little bit
- 2:24Speaker 5: because I'm not usually a hugger, but you can't not
- 2:27Speaker 5: hug her. She's just so sweet. It's ridiculous.
- 2:29Speaker 2: There's just certain people. You know, it's the Doug Jones thing.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Sometimes there's people that throw off the whole scale and
- 2:36Speaker 2: you're like, you know what? All right, bring it in.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Let's go. I'm serious.
- 2:39Speaker 5: I got, what, three, four hugs?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Probably three.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Possibly five by the end of the day.
- 2:42Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah, there were extras later. So, because, you know,
- 2:45Speaker 2: you jumped her in the hallway. You're like, haha, hug me.
- 2:48Speaker 5: I couldn't help it. I was unhappy with my picture
- 2:50Speaker 5: that I took earlier and I was on my way
- 2:51Speaker 5: back to go, like, possibly buy another autograph just so
- 2:55Speaker 5: I could get another picture because I didn't like the
- 2:57Speaker 5: amount of chins I had.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 5: There was just a bad angle and the lighting was
- 3:01Speaker 5: not good in that room.
- 3:02Speaker 2: It's all angles and lighting, man. That's the magic of Hollywood.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's all about the selfie angle.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I don't even care. I make fun of people who
- 3:09Speaker 5: do it, but goddammit, every good photo you're going to
- 3:12Speaker 5: find of me from this point in my life on
- 3:14Speaker 5: will be a selfie because it gets rid of the chins.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I told you.
- 3:18Speaker 5: I want to start taping it back.
- 3:21Speaker 2: That would be pretty cool. That tape fixes everything.
- 3:26Speaker 5: I went into it not planning on getting anybody's autograph.
- 3:29Speaker 5: I just love going to Scarefest. We've been doing it
- 3:30Speaker 5: for I don't even know how many years. I love Scarefest.
- 3:32Speaker 5: I love that they changed things up this year and
- 3:35Speaker 5: it kind of threw me off. But it was still,
- 3:36Speaker 5: it was pretty great. Just the layout. Yeah, the layout.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Like one half of it got switched to a different direction.
- 3:41Speaker 5: The entrance was different.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, we had to go down a hall. It's just,
- 3:44Speaker 2: you know, when you've been doing it for like 11 years, it's, yeah,
- 3:47Speaker 2: it's a crazy, crazy readjustment period. But it's all good.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Oh, it was fantastic. Like I think I prefer the
- 3:54Speaker 5: new layout. I don't know if there was just a
- 3:56Speaker 5: lot of stuff going on in Lexington this weekend, but
- 3:58Speaker 5: it didn't seem like it was quite as crowded as normal.
- 4:01Speaker 3: There was a lot going on. There was a football game.
- 4:03Speaker 3: There were three marathons. There was a Latino festival.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Which Lucy was at, by the way, when I messaged
- 4:09Speaker 2: her earlier. Was she at the Latino festival? She was
- 4:12Speaker 2: doing something, volunteering, being all Lucy.
- 4:14Speaker 5: She was at a marathon at the Latino festival.
- 4:17Speaker 2: All of the above, probably. Lucy runs that town. I
- 4:20Speaker 2: don't know if everyone else knows. Probably there for the food.
- 4:23Speaker 2: The food out there is just. Yeah, I would say. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 2: why didn't we hit that food truck? We need to
- 4:29Speaker 2: drive over and hit that food truck on the.
- 4:31Speaker 10: Way out of there.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Yeah, like I said, I had not intended on buying
- 4:34Speaker 5: anybody's autograph. The initial route we took took us almost
- 4:38Speaker 5: directly to her table, and I was standing there, and
- 4:40Speaker 5: I'm like, holy shit, she only charges $ 20. And I
- 4:43Speaker 5: can't say no to that because, I mean, most everybody
- 4:46Speaker 5: else these days, it's like at least 35 was the
- 4:47Speaker 5: lowest I saw today other than hers. And I don't
- 4:49Speaker 5: even care. Sleepaway Camp is still one of my absolute
- 4:56Speaker 5: favorite horror movies.
- 4:58Speaker 2: For those who didn't catch the beginning there, Phyllisa Rose,
- 5:00Speaker 2: star of all of our dreams and nightmares. Phyllisa Rose,
- 5:05Speaker 2: the star of Sleepaway Camp and all of her business,
- 5:09Speaker 2: was there at the table. Literally. Because she added some
- 5:12Speaker 2: new additions to the lineup of photos this year.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Because I'm sure I complained before, probably several times on
- 5:18Speaker 5: the podcast.
- 5:19Speaker 9: I believe you did.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Because we've seen her at a convention before, but she
- 5:21Speaker 5: didn't have a photo of the face.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Which, again, if you've seen Sleepaway Camp, you know the face.
- 5:27Speaker 2: You know what I'm talking about. It's the most jarring
- 5:29Speaker 2: moment of your life, probably. So you have to know
- 5:31Speaker 2: the face that accompanied it. And that's the one I
- 5:34Speaker 2: wanted on a photo for her to sign.
- 5:35Speaker 5: And she didn't have it at the other conventions that
- 5:38Speaker 5: we went to. And I was aggravated. And I'm like,
- 5:40Speaker 5: damn it, Phyllis, what's wrong? But I walk up to
- 5:43Speaker 5: her table and I was like, she had, first of all,
- 5:45Speaker 5: she had like just like the headshot area.
- 5:48Speaker 2: It's the headshot and the logo of the movie.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And it's just like, it's the face, all right.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 5: So I was already sold in. I'm like, then they
- 5:55Speaker 5: had like the full body shot. That's just like a
- 5:57Speaker 5: screen grab from the movie. So it wasn't like the
- 6:00Speaker 5: highest quality. I'm like, if it had been like clear
- 6:01Speaker 5: Blu-ray digitalized.
- 6:03Speaker 2: If you want what's going on in that photo, I
- 6:06Speaker 2: guess we won't spoil it for those people. But yeah. Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 2: you want it in high def is what we found.
- 6:11Speaker 2: So yeah, go get the Blu-ray.
- 6:13Speaker 5: I don't want to spoil it for anybody because that's
- 6:14Speaker 5: one of the few movies that I went to that
- 6:16Speaker 5: I did not see it coming.
- 6:19Speaker 2: What we were discussing on the ride back and forth
- 6:21Speaker 2: is just how at this point in life people get
- 6:26Speaker 2: to how do you see Psycho and not know what's
- 6:29Speaker 2: going on? How do you see The Sixth Sense and
- 6:31Speaker 2: not know what's going on? But that's one that you
- 6:35Speaker 2: and that was my theory especially back in the day
- 6:37Speaker 2: it was like It's a horror movie. Not every normal
- 6:40Speaker 2: person out there cares about horror movies. It's also a
- 6:43Speaker 2: low-budget horror movie, which means not everybody got to. So
- 6:45Speaker 2: I think a lot of people who aren't hardcore horror
- 6:47Speaker 2: fans just were oblivious to its existence. I mean, it
- 6:51Speaker 2: didn't make a ton of money in theaters, but it
- 6:54Speaker 2: became a VHS classic, you know? So it's like as
- 6:57Speaker 2: people just randomly stumbled across it. It's definitely a cult classic. Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 2: definitely now. But I think even at the time, like
- 7:03Speaker 2: early 80s there, when they're just like, I like horror movies.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Let's go pick some stuff in the horror section.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Holy shit.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I've seen Friday the 13th. It's probably like Friday the 13th.
- 7:13Speaker 2: And then you see that movie and your life has
- 7:16Speaker 2: changed forever. So I think that's how. I think it
- 7:19Speaker 2: just skated by there.
- 7:20Speaker 5: But yeah, she seemed... I don't know. I can't tell
- 7:23Speaker 5: if she was more excited to be there than I
- 7:25Speaker 5: was to see her.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:26Speaker 5: She was so... She caught me unawares. I was like,
- 7:29Speaker 5: oh my God, is she talking to me? She's so excited.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Who is she talking to?
- 7:32Speaker 11: Oh my gosh.
- 7:34Speaker 5: She was she seemed like delighted that i liked like
- 7:37Speaker 5: that i liked her movie she's like oh my god
- 7:38Speaker 5: i'm so glad you liked it did you did you
- 7:40Speaker 5: know it was duty i don't want to spoil that
- 7:44Speaker 5: part of the movie but she was just she was
- 7:47Speaker 5: so excited and i was i was telling her about
- 7:50Speaker 5: how i was one of those movies that you don't
- 7:52Speaker 5: you don't know that's coming and like it's so hard
- 7:55Speaker 5: these days because like Everything's spoiled these days. No matter what.
- 8:02Speaker 3: As soon as people walk out of a movie, they're
- 8:04Speaker 3: right on their cell phones tweeting about it.
- 8:05Speaker 2: That's what I said. I was like, that was the
- 8:07Speaker 2: saving grace back in the day. It was like, there
- 8:09Speaker 2: was no way. Unless you physically went over to your
- 8:13Speaker 2: friend and was like, hey, Eddie, guess what? You know
- 8:15Speaker 2: what happens at the end of Sleepaway Again? That's the
- 8:17Speaker 2: only way that happened.
- 8:18Speaker 7: Nobody.
- 8:20Speaker 2: There was no other way. At best, it could have
- 8:22Speaker 2: been maybe in a newspaper article, which they probably weren't
- 8:25Speaker 2: writing about that movie anyway. And if they did, they
- 8:27Speaker 2: probably aren't going to mention those tidbits going on at
- 8:30Speaker 2: the end of that movie. So, yeah, it's like there
- 8:33Speaker 2: was no real easy way to do that kind of stuff.
- 8:36Speaker 2: But now.
- 8:37Speaker 9: That, too, back then.
- 8:40Speaker 3: When I had seen movies that had surprise endings, I
- 8:42Speaker 3: didn't want to tell my friends.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:44Speaker 9: Because I wanted them to be surprised.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I'd be like, dude, you didn't see this movie.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 8:48Speaker 2: But I wouldn't say, here's why. Guess what happens. Let
- 8:51Speaker 2: me fuck it up for you.
- 8:52Speaker 5: It's not like me ruining The Walking Dead for my co-worker.
- 8:55Speaker 2: No. Which you did on purpose? Several times. Like, weekly?
- 8:58Speaker 5: No, like, literally, we were sitting in one of our
- 9:00Speaker 5: meetings at work, supposed to be paying attention to a thing,
- 9:03Speaker 5: and he's showing me a scene of them, they're trying
- 9:05Speaker 5: to find Sophia. And I'm like, oh, she's already dead,
- 9:08Speaker 5: she's in the fucking barn.
- 9:09Speaker 2: He's like, what?
- 9:10Speaker 5: Why would you do that? I'm like, oh, and Dale,
- 9:13Speaker 5: he did it too.
- 9:14Speaker 2: What a jerk.
- 9:18Speaker 5: I even quit watching the show but I would look
- 9:20Speaker 5: up spoilers just to tell I'd be like oh you
- 9:24Speaker 5: know Glenn to be an extra jerk yeah I'm so
- 9:28Speaker 5: far off they're still in Terminus for me you are
- 9:32Speaker 5: so out of the loop I don't even give a
- 9:33Speaker 5: shit anymore the show's so.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I don't know it's week to week like it still
- 9:40Speaker 2: works at times for me and there's other times I'm
- 9:42Speaker 2: like why are we going down this path why are
- 9:45Speaker 2: we doing this like I think visually it got better
- 9:49Speaker 2: as time has gone on. I'm gonna say for a
- 9:51Speaker 2: specific reason, and I don't mean it just because we
- 9:55Speaker 2: had him on the show, but like you can watch
- 9:58Speaker 2: and I can I if I missed the credits at
- 10:01Speaker 2: the beginning I could watch it and go no Greg
- 10:04Speaker 2: Greg Nicotero directed this one and like I'd be right
- 10:07Speaker 2: like you can always tell they are always like it
- 10:10Speaker 2: is weird for somebody who didn't set out I'm guessing
- 10:13Speaker 2: to be a big impressive visual director like he was
- 10:17Speaker 2: worried about latex and blood and But now he is
- 10:20Speaker 2: so stylistic when it comes to doing what should just
- 10:24Speaker 2: be a schlocky zombie TV show. But his episodes look
- 10:28Speaker 2: so good. And they're so creatively plotted and laid out
- 10:32Speaker 2: for the way that he shoots the scenes.
- 10:33Speaker 5: He already gets a free pass for life for the rest.
- 10:36Speaker 5: I don't even give a shit.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You and your creep show flashbacks.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Which will lead into what we watched this week earlier later.
- 10:43Speaker 2: So, but yeah. I don't know. That's, that's, it's one
- 10:46Speaker 2: of those, like, that's why week to week I kept watching.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Cause I'm like, there's so many good aspects I like
- 10:50Speaker 2: about what's going on. Overall, there's some crazy, which is
- 10:54Speaker 2: more of a show runner thing. Cause even he, like
- 10:56Speaker 2: when we talked to him, he kind of, he's like,
- 10:58Speaker 2: I don't know. Talk to the writers, man. I didn't,
- 11:00Speaker 2: I didn't kill them. Like any issues everybody has with him.
- 11:02Speaker 2: He's like, I'm not doing that part. Like I do
- 11:04Speaker 2: makeup effects. I direct them. Like, don't blame me for
- 11:08Speaker 2: the ongoing story issues.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Why did it take so long for him to kill
- 11:11Speaker 5: off Carl? Oh, Carl. Yeah, I love Scarefest. It's one
- 11:19Speaker 5: of those, I mean, it seems to me that the
- 11:22Speaker 5: cosplayers have died down again. I saw what, maybe like
- 11:26Speaker 5: five cosplayers the entire time we were there.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, we've said that a few times
- 11:30Speaker 2: this year. So like maybe in general, it's just, it's
- 11:34Speaker 2: not as big a thing. I think that's the difference
- 11:37Speaker 2: is it's not as big a thing in the fringe
- 11:40Speaker 2: areas because I just was watching video from Dragon Con
- 11:44Speaker 2: and like it was out of control so it's like
- 11:47Speaker 2: I think if you're going to Dragon Con if you're
- 11:48Speaker 2: going to San Diego you know it's like that's where
- 11:53Speaker 2: they're flocking to Wizard World Wizard World still gets a
- 11:56Speaker 2: good depending on the city but yeah I think the
- 11:58Speaker 2: bigger cities probably get like people just Go to those
- 12:01Speaker 2: because that's the whole reason of what they're going to.
- 12:04Speaker 5: As they never come back to Louisville again.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Well, it's not necessarily our fault.
- 12:08Speaker 9: The toy conventions. That we know of.
- 12:10Speaker 3: The toy and comic book conventions get bigger cosplayers than
- 12:15Speaker 3: the horror conventions.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think everybody, the novelty wore off and they're busy
- 12:18Speaker 2: just like, let's go watch a movie.
- 12:20Speaker 3: There's not as much cosplay, like specific cosplay, aside from
- 12:25Speaker 3: like we saw Skeletor.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I did appreciate the father-son matching outfits because we had
- 12:33Speaker 5: the Michael Myers with the whatever, the clown, it was
- 12:38Speaker 5: Daniel Harris' kid, or Daniel Harris' character.
- 12:42Speaker 2: In 4 and 5.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 2: 4 specifically, I think she's the clown.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:46Speaker 2: So I did.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Appreciate the match, the father wearing Michael Myers and their
- 12:51Speaker 5: son wearing the little clown outfit.
- 12:53Speaker 9: But there was a couple its there.
- 12:54Speaker 2: There was.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Guy dressed like Indiana Jones.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I must have missed that one.
- 13:01Speaker 3: There was a guy that was dressed like Indiana Jones.
- 13:03Speaker 5: Did you see the Daredevil?
- 13:05Speaker 2: The Daredevil?
- 13:05Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 3: There was the vendor that was dressed up like Daredevil
- 13:09Speaker 3: who you probably wouldn't have gotten.
- 13:10Speaker 2: That's not what Misty was doing.
- 13:14Speaker 9: Misty hadn't pointed it out.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Yeah, there was that one with the intricate outfit that
- 13:22Speaker 5: I don't even know what the fuck was going on.
- 13:24Speaker 3: The chick with the bat wings?
- 13:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Well, there was that. There was one person that's there
- 13:34Speaker 3: every year that's dressed up like this kind of doctor
- 13:37Speaker 3: with this weird two-headed sickle. And they do a good job.
- 13:42Speaker 3: They're pretty creepy. I was going to ask them to
- 13:44Speaker 3: come over and take a picture, but they had wandered
- 13:46Speaker 3: off to a different area.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Did see the guy in the umbrella lab coat. I
- 13:51Speaker 2: don't think I've seen him before, but yeah, he had
- 13:52Speaker 2: like the full-on like, working in a lab somewhere in
- 13:56Speaker 2: the Umbrella building. He wasn't any specific character. He just
- 14:00Speaker 2: had full doctor lab coat looking medical gear on with
- 14:05Speaker 2: the Umbrella logo on it. I'm like, alright, I like that.
- 14:08Speaker 2: It fits the genre, but it's not specific.
- 14:12Speaker 5: I saw Blade 2.
- 14:14Speaker 9: You saw Blade?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Blade 2.
- 14:15Speaker 9: There you go.
- 14:17Speaker 5: As well also.
- 14:18Speaker 3: But then I also saw just average people dressed up
- 14:24Speaker 3: not necessarily as characters, but like some of them were
- 14:26Speaker 3: dressed up like characters that they made up.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 3: You know, just kind of like, you know, there was
- 14:31Speaker 3: one family that was dressed up kind of like hillbilly,
- 14:34Speaker 3: like zombies.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Well, and I think because over the years there's become
- 14:39Speaker 2: such a, like a female presence in horror conventions, like
- 14:43Speaker 2: in a, in a good way. Like I think it's
- 14:44Speaker 2: found so many fans who are girls that like, it's
- 14:47Speaker 2: also become just kind of like a, check out my
- 14:50Speaker 2: cool horror-themed outfit. There's a lot of girls wearing cute
- 14:54Speaker 2: dresses that just have horror-themed prints on it. I think
- 14:58Speaker 2: they're like, this is my chance to show it off
- 15:00Speaker 2: to the handful of people who care. So I think
- 15:03Speaker 2: girls kind of get into it on that aspect where
- 15:05Speaker 2: they're just like, look at this cool bow with a
- 15:06Speaker 2: skeleton on it. They just wear cool stuff. Again, you
- 15:11Speaker 2: can only wear it at that place in Hot Topic.
- 15:14Speaker 2: No one else in the world will care about any
- 15:15Speaker 2: of this stuff but horror movie geeks. And then guys
- 15:18Speaker 2: are still just slackers, so it's just black movie tees
- 15:21Speaker 2: and jeans. That's all you get out of horror guys. Normally,
- 15:27Speaker 2: the bulk.
- 15:28Speaker 9: There were some clowns. I think most of the.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Clowns that were there were with a haunted house.
- 15:34Speaker 9: Were they?
- 15:35Speaker 5: They were pimping out a haunted house that's in Lexington.
- 15:37Speaker 12: No, I don't know.
- 15:39Speaker 5: I think most of them were.
- 15:41Speaker 3: There was a 4L virus there.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Not including the real Cassandra Peterson.
- 15:47Speaker 12: No.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Who was not an Elvira, actually. Just a random Cassandra
- 15:51Speaker 2: sitting over there at a table.
- 15:52Speaker 5: She did walk past us at one point.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. She looks great, as always.
- 15:55Speaker 5: She does. She does look fantastic.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 15:57Speaker 5: She wasn't wearing a fancy outfit like Shawnee Smith was.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, hers was impressive.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Yeah, her outfit was super adorable.
- 16:05Speaker 2: It was like a fancy... Tool dress?
- 16:09Speaker 5: Like tool, like an old prom dress?
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, like fluffy. Mm-hmm. Like the bottom half was like fluffy... Taffeta?
- 16:18Speaker 5: Not taffeta. I was thinking tulle, like T-U-L-L-E, not the band, tulle.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I was just like, she's not Maynard. Because that
- 16:27Speaker 2: guy's a jerk.
- 16:29Speaker 5: But yeah, was it off white or was it a light,
- 16:32Speaker 5: light pink?
- 16:33Speaker 2: It was kind of white, but then she paired it
- 16:36Speaker 2: off with the... pink leather jacket up top.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of a pink leather members only jacket.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Very 80s looking.
- 16:43Speaker 5: I liked it though.
- 16:44Speaker 2: But it was super tight. It was kind of cool.
- 16:47Speaker 12: It was a thing.
- 16:47Speaker 5: Back to the delightful Phyllisa Rose with her fantastic, it
- 16:53Speaker 5: was just a black dress because you can't go wrong
- 16:55Speaker 5: with a little black dress.
- 16:56Speaker 2: It is a little black dress.
- 16:58Speaker 5: She was delightful. That was like the high point. Like
- 17:00Speaker 5: I said, I had no intention of actually getting her autograph,
- 17:02Speaker 5: but she was just so delightful I just couldn't stop.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I was just like, oh my god, I'm going to
- 17:05Speaker 2: get it. It's true. She was just sitting at her
- 17:06Speaker 2: table and beckoning people over and talking and having fun
- 17:10Speaker 2: and she was all kinds of fun.
- 17:13Speaker 5: And i bought some more enamel pins which are in
- 17:15Speaker 5: your bag.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Oh free pens from me.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Don't forget my enamel pen because i'll be my i
- 17:20Speaker 5: think i did like most of them so yeah i
- 17:22Speaker 5: can totally make use of this no i'm gonna have
- 17:27Speaker 5: more artists this year they were just you know this
- 17:31Speaker 5: The whole layout was different. A lot of vendors that
- 17:33Speaker 5: we had not seen before there. The vendors themselves seemed different.
- 17:39Speaker 5: It seemed like it was different from every other convention
- 17:41Speaker 5: we've ever gone to because it was different vendors. It
- 17:43Speaker 5: seemed like.
- 17:44Speaker 9: A bizarro world convention.
- 17:47Speaker 2: They have their whole paranormal section that again, I'm kind
- 17:51Speaker 2: of tuned out of. There's people there that other people
- 17:54Speaker 2: have driven just to see this person. I'm like, I
- 17:57Speaker 2: don't really know who they are. That's because I don't
- 17:59Speaker 2: Pay attention to that world.
- 18:00Speaker 5: The Ghost Brothers were there.
- 18:02Speaker 2: People get totally into that stuff. So I'm like, that's
- 18:04Speaker 2: cool that there is a convention that, you know, makes
- 18:07Speaker 2: good and caters to that. You know, where a lot
- 18:09Speaker 2: of other horror conventions don't care. They just play some
- 18:12Speaker 2: shocky horror movies and don't worry about it.
- 18:13Speaker 5: They did have a lot going on. They had, like,
- 18:14Speaker 5: the regular vendors and then they had, like, the celebrities
- 18:16Speaker 5: and then they had the aisle that was just, like,
- 18:18Speaker 5: the paranormal guests and, like, fortune tellers and then they had, like,
- 18:23Speaker 5: your basic, not basic, but, you know, like, they had, like,
- 18:25Speaker 5: the people who, like, the artists and the, like, Craft stuff.
- 18:31Speaker 5: And then they had at least one section that people
- 18:34Speaker 5: were doing tattoos. So they had tattoo specials.
- 18:37Speaker 2: It was like a mini tattoo section going on in
- 18:39Speaker 2: that one aisle.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Yeah. So they had a lot going on. That's why
- 18:43Speaker 5: I've always, like, I've never had a problem with Scarefest.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I've always, you know, they've always brought in at least
- 18:49Speaker 5: some interesting guests. You know, not necessarily, like, the biggest
- 18:52Speaker 5: name guests. I don't know.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Some of the bigger ones I've seen, I've seen at Scarefest. So,
- 18:56Speaker 2: it is weird sometimes. Well, how'd they get that?
- 18:59Speaker 5: They tend to bring in more of, like, the paranormal stuff.
- 19:00Speaker 9: They have Malcolm McDowell one year.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 3: That actually was, I think that showed up in my
- 19:05Speaker 3: news feed, like, several years ago.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Mean for the most part they you know they mean
- 19:10Speaker 5: every once in a while they'll bring in like a
- 19:11Speaker 5: really big name but it's usually more like uh like
- 19:15Speaker 5: i said it's more like the paranormal stuff but this
- 19:17Speaker 5: year they brought in like the saw people they brought
- 19:19Speaker 5: in tobin bell and shawnee smith and did they have
- 19:22Speaker 5: somebody else.
- 19:23Speaker 2: From saw or was it just a smender or how
- 19:25Speaker 2: do you say his name.
- 19:26Speaker 5: I don't know i have robert mooks which i'm always
- 19:28Speaker 5: excited about even though i never if he had if
- 19:30Speaker 5: he'd had his tail if he had his hair and
- 19:33Speaker 5: braided pigtails i would have probably got his autographs But
- 19:35Speaker 5: his hair was all down and messy, and he was
- 19:37Speaker 5: wearing a weird sheriff shirt, and I was kind of
- 19:39Speaker 5: confused about what was going on.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Daryl and Bousman was also. So yeah, they had their
- 19:43Speaker 2: whole little Saw group together.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, yeah, so yeah they had several saw people
- 19:48Speaker 5: um julian sands was there which i think i saw
- 19:51Speaker 5: one person talking to him the entire day.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Again i'm like i don't i would really assume he'd
- 19:55Speaker 2: have more of a following i think he was in
- 19:56Speaker 2: a weird spot i could have been part of it
- 19:59Speaker 2: but yeah it's just like i remember back in the
- 20:02Speaker 2: day like people were so into that movie Which.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Is weird because like I said, I've never seen any
- 20:07Speaker 5: of his movies, but I know the name. I can
- 20:08Speaker 5: recognize Julian Sands, but I've never seen anything. So it's like.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Warlock was like the thing back in the day.
- 20:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Like VHS, like people went crazy for that. And then
- 20:19Speaker 2: they started putting out a bunch of sequels. But like,
- 20:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if it just fell
- 20:23Speaker 2: off in its fan base over the years. But back again,
- 20:27Speaker 2: I knew so many people that were like just a
- 20:29Speaker 2: big Warlock fan. And like they'd seen all of them. Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I don't know. I was surprised there weren't more people
- 20:35Speaker 2: lined up there.
- 20:36Speaker 5: I think the price puts a lot of people off, too.
- 20:38Speaker 5: I mean, there's so many more that I would have
- 20:40Speaker 5: gotten had they been... That's the thing. Everybody keeps raising
- 20:43Speaker 5: the prices. They don't seem to realize you would sell
- 20:45Speaker 5: more and probably make more money if you lowered your price.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Because if it was like... So there were some that...
- 20:51Speaker 5: If it was $ 20, I'd have bought it. But $ 35
- 20:53Speaker 5: or $ 40? I think that with a lot of people.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Again, I think there got to be so many... conventions
- 21:00Speaker 2: and so many high end like you get to the
- 21:03Speaker 2: ones we mentioned earlier that have they bring in giant
- 21:06Speaker 2: names and they they boost up the prices and they
- 21:09Speaker 2: do high price photo ops and so then everybody across
- 21:11Speaker 2: the board feels like oh we kind of have to
- 21:13Speaker 2: do that to compete i guess that's how you put
- 21:16Speaker 2: together a convention but i'm like i remember when we
- 21:18Speaker 2: started like everybody was like 20 25 bucks when we
- 21:21Speaker 2: started going to these things like back when we started
- 21:24Speaker 2: the show and even a few years before we were
- 21:26Speaker 2: going and like people used to charge like 20 bucks
- 21:30Speaker 2: most of the time.
- 21:31Speaker 5: That was standard.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Before that too, a lot of times some of them
- 21:33Speaker 3: would sign for free.
- 21:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Which you still get some people occasionally, but like.
- 21:38Speaker 9: Didn't I get, what's his name?
- 21:40Speaker 3: Dante's. Didn't he sign my, he signed something for me
- 21:44Speaker 3: for free.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Did he?
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:46Speaker 3: It was like, it wasn't even a, It wasn't anything
- 21:50Speaker 3: clerks related. It was something else that he was in.
- 21:53Speaker 5: Was he pimping something?
- 21:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and then he signed it and just put, I'm
- 21:56Speaker 3: not even supposed to be here today or something like that.
- 21:58Speaker 9: He might have signed something of yours too the same way.
- 22:00Speaker 2: He signed mine, but I actually bought the photo I got.
- 22:03Speaker 9: Yeah, mine's not a photo.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Mine was just like a, it was, yeah, it was
- 22:08Speaker 3: like something he was pimping, some card or.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Something, weird card.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Well, he does, I know he does like a lot
- 22:15Speaker 2: of teaching too. Like I know over the years he's
- 22:17Speaker 2: gotten into like, Teaching acting and doing like a workshop
- 22:20Speaker 2: kind of thing. So it might have just been promotional
- 22:23Speaker 2: for that.
- 22:23Speaker 5: I was trying to figure out how you got his
- 22:24Speaker 5: autograph and I didn't get it. Did I wander off
- 22:27Speaker 5: or something?
- 22:28Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You were over poking Jason Mewes or something.
- 22:31Speaker 3: No, because like in that same corner, there was the
- 22:36Speaker 3: girl from Hellraiser 1.
- 22:41Speaker 5: Heather Langenkamp?
- 22:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you might have been over there.
- 22:43Speaker 9: Talking to her.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Hellraiser? Or Nightmare in Amsterdam.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Where did I get half from? Ashley Lawrence.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Because I got my picture with her and I didn't
- 22:53Speaker 3: buy anything.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't buy anything. She was super nice.
- 22:57Speaker 3: I got my picture with Dante too.
- 22:59Speaker 9: I didn't pay anything for that either.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Again, it didn't used to be such a thing. Again,
- 23:04Speaker 2: it was mostly just to hang out and meet people.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I think in these last 10-12 years, it's become such
- 23:10Speaker 2: an industry that now everything kind of has a price
- 23:13Speaker 2: point attached. If you want even a photo at the table,
- 23:16Speaker 2: it's this much money. If you want a photo op,
- 23:18Speaker 2: it's even more money. So everything became part of the
- 23:22Speaker 2: business deal that now brings them to these things. So
- 23:25Speaker 2: I think that's, I don't know. It is just part
- 23:28Speaker 2: of the industry now, so I don't know that it
- 23:31Speaker 2: will go back.
- 23:32Speaker 5: I doubt that it will. I mean, you still have
- 23:34Speaker 5: every once in a while somebody who's reasonable and fantastic,
- 23:37Speaker 5: like Phyllis Rose. But I don't know. I mean, I
- 23:39Speaker 5: make no guarantees.
- 23:40Speaker 2: But she is just delightful.
- 23:42Speaker 5: I'm stuck on that one.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 23:44Speaker 5: She is so nice.
- 23:45Speaker 2: She was very nice and very entertaining. And again, was
- 23:48Speaker 2: almost as excited to see you as you were to
- 23:50Speaker 2: see her.
- 23:50Speaker 4: I know.
- 23:51Speaker 2: That's pretty awesome. Did you pay to get anything signed
- 23:54Speaker 2: by Don Coscarelli? Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Okay.
- 23:57Speaker 9: What about....
- 23:59Speaker 5: I paid for most people I've gotten except for one
- 24:02Speaker 5: George Romero, Greg Nicotero. Was it Nicotero?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Nicotero.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Nicotero. I think I paid for pretty much everybody else.
- 24:08Speaker 3: What about Dave Brocky?
- 24:10Speaker 2: Don't forget.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Oh, Dave Brocky and Adam.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Ethan Embry.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Oh, Ethan Embry. Ethan Embry, delightful. Yeah, Dave Brocky.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Dave Brocky signed, yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 5: And Adam Green.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yeah, because Dave Brocky signed Richie's notebook and then drew
- 24:22Speaker 3: a little picture in it for him.
- 24:23Speaker 2: See, sometimes it's just what kind of promotional kick they're on, too.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Because like that- They were.
- 24:29Speaker 5: There promoting something.
- 24:30Speaker 2: There are other times when I think Adam will- again
- 24:33Speaker 2: i think he's not normally as worried about making money
- 24:35Speaker 2: on autographs but with a lot of those like they
- 24:37Speaker 2: do like a big hatchet thing and like all the
- 24:40Speaker 2: people would be there and they'd be signing and selling
- 24:42Speaker 2: photos but like that i think they were out pushing
- 24:45Speaker 2: holliston and i think they were just like promoting it
- 24:49Speaker 2: that's why i've got somewhere i've got that poster that
- 24:51Speaker 2: like he signed and like i think it was the
- 24:53Speaker 2: producer that work was there with him signed it and
- 24:56Speaker 2: dave rocky signed it and like so it Yeah, they
- 24:58Speaker 2: were just kind of there promoting that, and I think
- 25:00Speaker 2: giving that out. I'm more worried about promoting than about
- 25:03Speaker 2: making money off of it, because, again, at that point,
- 25:05Speaker 2: they're just trying to get the word out that it's
- 25:07Speaker 2: a show, and I guess at this point, I don't know, we'll.
- 25:10Speaker 9: Ever see season three.
- 25:10Speaker 5: There was somebody a couple years, was it at Horror Hound?
- 25:13Speaker 5: It was A.J. Bowen, wasn't he signing for season three?
- 25:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he just wanted to come out.
- 25:17Speaker 5: Which will also tie into what I watched. Yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 2: He was, again, he's pretty awesome in general, performance-wise. We
- 25:25Speaker 2: haven't talked to him yet, though.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:27Speaker 2: He was sitting there that weekend.
- 25:28Speaker 5: I thought he was having a rough time.
- 25:29Speaker 2: I think he was. I think that's why I left
- 25:31Speaker 2: him alone. I'm like, eh, there was a personal life
- 25:34Speaker 2: crisis going on. So I'm like, let's revisit this down
- 25:37Speaker 2: the road.
- 25:39Speaker 5: But yeah, Ethan Embry, that one was free. I'm still
- 25:41Speaker 5: not sure how they figured, how they managed that one.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Again, I think he just wanted to leave the house.
- 25:45Speaker 2: You saw how excited he was to be out amongst people.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Dude, he was like, he's in my top five of
- 25:50Speaker 5: all time. I don't even care.
- 25:51Speaker 2: He was so excited.
- 25:53Speaker 5: I got, um, Okay, what's Jerry O'Connell's brother?
- 25:59Speaker 9: Bobby O'Connell.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Do you remember Jerry O'Connell's brother?
- 26:02Speaker 9: I kind of do.
- 26:04Speaker 3: David O'Connell.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I forgot about that one.
- 26:06Speaker 5: He was super nice. Frank. We got, what's his name
- 26:10Speaker 5: for free? Holy shit, what's his name? He's in River's Edge.
- 26:15Speaker 5: You all got me on this one.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Come on.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Anybody?
- 26:19Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, hold on a second. He was in Dudes.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Do you have a copy of Dudes?
- 26:31Speaker 9: I was telling the guy I work with about it,
- 26:34Speaker 9: and he's like, man, I've got to find that.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Sadly, I think I just remembered as I'm already looking
- 26:39Speaker 2: it up, but just to make sure I get it right. Yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 2: I was right.
- 26:42Speaker 9: Daniel Roebuck.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Daniel Roebuck.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Just came to me.
- 26:45Speaker 2: As I was walking over there. Yeah, we're in the
- 26:47Speaker 2: studio now, which means I put a bunch of stuff
- 26:49Speaker 2: in this cabinet. Thanks to Jay, who opened it, by
- 26:52Speaker 2: the way. It was locked and there was a key gone,
- 26:54Speaker 2: so I'll just shout outs to Jay because it's the
- 26:56Speaker 2: only reason I could put my toys inside my cabinet.
- 26:59Speaker 2: But I also was like, what am I going to put?
- 27:01Speaker 2: It's going to look all empty in the back. So
- 27:03Speaker 2: I was like, I got a lot of VHS tapes
- 27:05Speaker 2: and nothing to do with them. So I loaded up
- 27:06Speaker 2: the back with VHS tapes, including this copy of Dudes
- 27:11Speaker 2: that was the way that we watched it for that episode,
- 27:13Speaker 2: if you remember. I still had my VHS functioning in
- 27:17Speaker 2: the early days of the show. And I found this
- 27:19Speaker 2: for cheap and we watched Dudes on this VHS right here.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Good times for head but yeah he's one with that
- 27:25Speaker 5: we i don't know if he was there promoting.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Something again i think he was just there actually knowing
- 27:29Speaker 2: what i know about him now he was probably there
- 27:31Speaker 2: buying stuff because i heard as time went on like
- 27:34Speaker 2: he got himself in trouble like he and we will
- 27:37Speaker 2: all appreciate this bought a whole lot of stuff to
- 27:40Speaker 2: the point like his house was overrun with like movie
- 27:43Speaker 2: memorabilia and toys and like so which i feel like
- 27:46Speaker 2: we all listening understand that mode but yeah i think
- 27:49Speaker 2: he recently kind of was purging some of that and
- 27:53Speaker 2: like I might need to back off a little bit
- 27:55Speaker 2: so but yes Daniel Roebuck was very cool we've.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Got pictures with several celebrities that we've mentioned a couple
- 28:01Speaker 5: of already that we did not have to because back
- 28:03Speaker 5: then it wasn't that big of a deal you know
- 28:04Speaker 5: it wasn't as much of an issue again I.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Think it was just them hanging out and like meeting
- 28:08Speaker 2: fans more so than the industry that it has become.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Now and if they were there they were like promoting
- 28:14Speaker 3: something yeah and that was and that was more important
- 28:17Speaker 3: yeah that was more important yeah Oh, we got Joe
- 28:19Speaker 3: Dante's autograph.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think, yeah, he wasn't charging anything. Nope.
- 28:23Speaker 5: I got two autograph photos from Gremlins.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I forgot he signed on the same one with
- 28:28Speaker 2: that other dude.
- 28:30Speaker 5: I got a free picture with that guy who created,
- 28:33Speaker 5: did he create, write, direct Final Destination?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he's the writer of the original. Also
- 28:40Speaker 2: guest on the show.
- 28:41Speaker 5: He was super nice.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Kevin McCarthy. kevin mccarthy was charging oh yeah because i
- 28:48Speaker 2: think he was just he was by that time he
- 28:51Speaker 2: was old and kind of grumpy and no offense rest
- 28:53Speaker 2: in peace kevin mccarthy but he was just kind of
- 28:56Speaker 2: not thrilled to be hanging out but joe dante on
- 28:59Speaker 2: the other hand was a delight was there and was
- 29:02Speaker 2: happy to be there and just hanging out with people
- 29:04Speaker 2: and signing.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Stuff and charlie o'connell what's his name jerry o'connor jerry
- 29:09Speaker 5: jerry what is he in i don't know charlie i'm
- 29:13Speaker 5: pretty sure his name's charlie Charlie O'Connell. I got a
- 29:17Speaker 5: photo with Giorgio Tsoukalos.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Aliens.
- 29:24Speaker 5: What?
- 29:25Speaker 2: Aliens. You got a bumper sticker too. He charged for
- 29:29Speaker 2: that though, didn't he?
- 29:30Speaker 5: No, he gave me all that shit.
- 29:31Speaker 2: He gave me like... But then later we found out why.
- 29:33Speaker 9: You didn't get a shirt too?
- 29:34Speaker 5: No, I didn't get a shirt.
- 29:35Speaker 2: You didn't get a shirt? Later we found out why.
- 29:37Speaker 5: I didn't find out why.
- 29:39Speaker 13: Oh, I found out.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Why?
- 29:41Speaker 2: I believe he has a thing for the ladies. I
- 29:44Speaker 2: think that's why he goes on tours is just to like.
- 29:46Speaker 5: He wasn't like trying to hit on me. He just like...
- 29:49Speaker 5: They gave me some shit and I got a photo.
- 29:51Speaker 5: It wasn't like anything weird or inappropriate.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, I mean, not inappropriate, but like
- 29:55Speaker 2: it's just that... I don't know. It was interesting... like
- 29:59Speaker 2: listening because then i heard someone else that went to
- 30:01Speaker 2: the table and like there was that was mother and
- 30:04Speaker 2: daughter so it was the older of the two that
- 30:06Speaker 2: he was just very normal with and charged her for
- 30:09Speaker 2: whatever her book or whatever she got and then the
- 30:11Speaker 2: daughter was just a totally different thing so i think
- 30:15Speaker 2: he's just.
- 30:15Speaker 5: He's a player you know i don't know he was
- 30:18Speaker 5: he was perfectly nice to me and they so they
- 30:19Speaker 5: gave me like some literature and they gave me i
- 30:22Speaker 5: got like Four or five bumper stickers for free.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Literature on how to be crazy.
- 30:28Speaker 5: Yeah, that too.
- 30:28Speaker 2: And have weird hair.
- 30:30Speaker 5: I bet I didn't buy like the book or anything.
- 30:31Speaker 5: So I didn't like buy an autograph. I just went
- 30:33Speaker 5: up and asked to get a picture with him. And
- 30:34Speaker 5: he was, he was super nice. But it wasn't like,
- 30:36Speaker 5: like I said, it wasn't creepy or anything. And he
- 30:38Speaker 5: wasn't like inappropriate.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think he's inappropriate. I think he's just,
- 30:42Speaker 2: he just. He likes to be smooth. He's a smooth operator.
- 30:47Speaker 5: He was just confused by my camera. Because at that
- 30:48Speaker 5: point I had the 3D camera and it had two lenses.
- 30:50Speaker 5: And it was just mind-blowing.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Also the creator of the tick.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I just ran across that in my shuffling of things.
- 30:57Speaker 2: His name I got wrong last time, apparently. That's why
- 31:01Speaker 2: I'm just telling you. He created the tick.
- 31:03Speaker 5: Yeah, we got him.
- 31:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I found that when I was shuffling through stuff,
- 31:07Speaker 2: looking for my summer school poster. I was like, oh yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 2: look at this. I got the whole promo for the
- 31:11Speaker 2: tick that he signed and drew a tick shape on
- 31:14Speaker 2: and everything. So that was cool. But again, was that
- 31:17Speaker 2: promoting the new tick series at the time?
- 31:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:20Speaker 2: That's usually how it works i think it's i mean
- 31:23Speaker 2: here's a newsflash uh the showbiz game it's it's.
- 31:27Speaker 13: All about promotion and selling your stuff when i was
- 31:30Speaker 13: when i was a kid we went on the bella
- 31:32Speaker 13: louisville and they had like what was that kids show
- 31:34Speaker 13: that was all like the kids you know what i'm
- 31:36Speaker 13: talking about kids club.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Yeah but like all like local people Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 31:41Speaker 5: And they were all there, and they were signing autographs,
- 31:43Speaker 5: and I got them all. I don't know where it
- 31:44Speaker 5: is now. It's like a long way.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Do you get Gil's autographs?
- 31:47Speaker 5: Dude, I don't remember.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I was like- Gil and Kelly, you're in the kids club.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Not to start a fight, but I believe my sister
- 31:55Speaker 2: went to school with Kelly and said she was a,
- 31:58Speaker 2: I'm using quotes, this was from a high school girl
- 32:03Speaker 2: so it might have been a little cattiness because my
- 32:06Speaker 2: sister was not on the kids club so it might
- 32:08Speaker 2: have been jealousy too i don't.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Know okay you know you're a kid you're on tv
- 32:13Speaker 3: local tv and everybody sees you so you get a
- 32:17Speaker 3: little bit of popularity going.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I mean they were very especially those two they were
- 32:20Speaker 2: like the first two and they got a good amount
- 32:22Speaker 2: of notoriety like people really did recognize them when they
- 32:25Speaker 2: went out somewhere which when you're like 15, you know,
- 32:28Speaker 2: it's like.
- 32:28Speaker 3: It could probably go to your head really quick.
- 32:32Speaker 5: So anyway, I had their autograph when I was a child.
- 32:34Speaker 2: It's long gone, but it's pretty exciting.
- 32:36Speaker 5: I know it was, I was a kid.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I was like, woo.
- 32:39Speaker 5: So that was, that was another one of them. I
- 32:42Speaker 5: just tried to add to the list of free shit
- 32:45Speaker 5: and free autographs back when celebrities were kids and it
- 32:48Speaker 5: didn't really matter.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:51Speaker 5: I love scare fest. It's like, as I said, it's
- 32:53Speaker 5: one that I'm always look forward to going to every year.
- 32:55Speaker 5: I mean, there are some that I like going to,
- 32:57Speaker 5: That I usually just get overwhelmed at. I just don't
- 33:01Speaker 5: go to. Like there are certain ones, like I said,
- 33:04Speaker 5: they usually bring in such big names. And I'm just like,
- 33:06Speaker 5: there's going to be such a crowd. And I just,
- 33:10Speaker 5: I don't think I can deal with that. So this one,
- 33:13Speaker 5: like I said, this year was like, like I said,
- 33:16Speaker 5: they didn't. I don't know if it's because there was
- 33:17Speaker 5: just so much going on this year or because it
- 33:19Speaker 5: was laid out different. Maybe it just seemed like there
- 33:20Speaker 5: weren't as many people. The aisles were a lot wider
- 33:22Speaker 5: than normal, it seemed.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Which I heard someone pass by saying how much they
- 33:26Speaker 2: enjoyed the fact that they could just kind of walk
- 33:28Speaker 2: around and not be bumping into people.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Usually when you go to certain conventions where the aisles
- 33:34Speaker 5: are just like, you can touch stuff on both sides.
- 33:36Speaker 5: And I'm just like, too close, too close.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Too many people, too many people, get away.
- 33:39Speaker 5: So like I said, I don't know if it was
- 33:41Speaker 5: just a different layout that made it seem like there
- 33:42Speaker 5: wasn't as many people or if there was just so
- 33:44Speaker 5: much going on. Or maybe they showed up later in
- 33:46Speaker 5: the day because the convention does go on later in
- 33:48Speaker 5: the day. So maybe everybody showed up after we left.
- 33:52Speaker 5: But yeah, it's one that I always look forward to
- 33:53Speaker 5: and know that I'm going to be comfortable at and
- 33:55Speaker 5: not overwhelmed.
- 33:56Speaker 2: So it's always good because geeks are special people and
- 34:02Speaker 2: have anxiety issues.
- 34:03Speaker 5: I do have anxiety problems.
- 34:07Speaker 8: All right.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Well, with that, I think we should go to this
- 34:10Speaker 2: week's guest and go maybe go talk to the previously
- 34:13Speaker 2: mentioned pink jacket wearing Shawnee Smith.
- 34:17Speaker 5: She was so cute.
- 34:18Speaker 2: She was cute and she was very nice. And let's
- 34:20Speaker 2: go talk to her now. I usually try to start
- 34:35Speaker 2: early with people and kind of get a sense of
- 34:37Speaker 2: how they ended up in the field, but you started
- 34:41Speaker 2: at such a young age. Do you remember a time
- 34:45Speaker 2: not being interested in the arts or wanting to get
- 34:47Speaker 2: into that kind of thing?
- 34:49Speaker 4: Well, it's funny. I was walking back trying to find
- 34:55Speaker 4: a bathroom here, and we're walking in the back area
- 35:00Speaker 4: of And I said, I'm having a flashback. What is it?
- 35:04Speaker 4: What is it? And I realized it was the 1984
- 35:09Speaker 4: opening ceremonies for the Olympics. I was dancing in it.
- 35:14Speaker 4: And the back of this, whatever this massive building is.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Isn't that funny? It must have been. Where was that?
- 35:25Speaker 4: It was like the forum.
- 35:27Speaker 2: When it was in L.A., they built their own stadium,
- 35:30Speaker 2: didn't they? I think to house everything, I think they
- 35:33Speaker 2: built a whole new stadium that year.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Well, it was a big stadium with apparently similar backstage
- 35:39Speaker 4: area as this stadium here.
- 35:41Speaker 2: They built it just for you.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Isn't that funny? So, yeah, a long time, pretty much
- 35:47Speaker 4: my whole life has been.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You were in back telling Mary Lou, get out of
- 35:50Speaker 2: the way. I've got to get out there.
- 35:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:54Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, that's how early on, because I guess,
- 35:58Speaker 2: did you start specifically in dance or was it like
- 36:01Speaker 2: where you.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I think it started with the tap class.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:05Speaker 4: You know, and I remember the first pair of taps
- 36:08Speaker 4: that I got screwed on to tap shoes. I think
- 36:11Speaker 4: I was three or four. And then when I was eight,
- 36:15Speaker 4: I got an agent. You know, my mother got, I
- 36:18Speaker 4: wasn't out there saying, yo, I need an agent. Let's
- 36:21Speaker 4: get this career going.
- 36:23Speaker 2: That's what I was going to say. Do you remember
- 36:24Speaker 2: it being your choice?
- 36:25Speaker 4: No, it was my mother.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Or was it just immersed in your mom?
- 36:28Speaker 4: Yeah, she was competing with the neighbor lady whose daughter
- 36:30Speaker 4: did commercials on the block.
- 36:33Speaker 2: We need to get you a photo shoot, honey. Come on.
- 36:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Well, then, at what point do you remember it becoming
- 36:40Speaker 2: like a conscious choice of like i think i want
- 36:43Speaker 2: this to be a career oh i.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Don't know if that ever happens i'm just still trying
- 36:48Speaker 4: i'm just still dancing.
- 36:49Speaker 2: What's sad is i still hear that with people it's
- 36:51Speaker 2: like when did you make it and they're like i'm
- 36:53Speaker 2: still spinning plates man i've been in this 40 years
- 36:55Speaker 2: and i don't know yeah so i guess what was
- 36:59Speaker 2: i mean looking at some of the breakthroughs I mean,
- 37:02Speaker 2: does Annie count? Is that already like moving to the
- 37:05Speaker 2: big time? That's a pretty huge project to just be
- 37:07Speaker 2: included in.
- 37:08Speaker 4: Annie was a big project.
- 37:09Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 4: I was a dancing orphan.
- 37:13Speaker 2: And still to this day.
- 37:14Speaker 4: Yeah, still to this day. But that was pretty cool.
- 37:19Speaker 2: I mean, production wise and choreographing everything. And that's a
- 37:24Speaker 2: lot to deal with.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Director and stars. I've worked with some pretty.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Like, epic people.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Well, again, yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 4: In this short career.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean, you really have. Like, getting into even, like, for, like,
- 37:38Speaker 2: moving ahead into, like, some of these semi-grown up. I mean,
- 37:41Speaker 2: even something like Iron Eagle. You're there immediately with, like,
- 37:44Speaker 2: Lou Gossett Jr. Yeah, right. Like, this is, like, a huge, yeah.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I mean, that, you kind of had military tie. Did
- 37:52Speaker 2: you know, did you have that to feed off of
- 37:55Speaker 2: as far as getting into, like, being a military kid and.
- 37:58Speaker 4: Well, I was my father's welcome home present from Vietnam.
- 38:02Speaker 4: And he was done after that. I think there were
- 38:04Speaker 4: a lot of those, actually.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And I was six months old.
- 38:06Speaker 4: So I wasn't really a military brat.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 4: But my father was a pilot in the Air Force.
- 38:13Speaker 4: So I just pretended.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Well, then, again, just like the next year going into,
- 38:20Speaker 2: which was my maybe favorite ever. I brought the poster
- 38:24Speaker 2: this weekend. Summer school is like. massive like one of
- 38:28Speaker 2: the most entertaining movies ever for me so i mean
- 38:32Speaker 2: but yeah that's working with carl reiner i mean like
- 38:34Speaker 2: it's already a legend in the industry it's ridiculous were
- 38:38Speaker 2: you had it set in at that point how huge
- 38:41Speaker 2: he kind of was as far as entertainment.
- 38:44Speaker 4: And i just i i was a kid you know
- 38:46Speaker 4: i just thought he was the funnest director i ever
- 38:49Speaker 4: worked with i mean We had like Halloween trailer decorating
- 38:53Speaker 4: contests for Halloween. He was the judge. I mean, we
- 38:57Speaker 4: had a ball. He was so much fun. And the
- 39:00Speaker 4: funny thing is when I was even younger, like maybe
- 39:03Speaker 4: eight or nine, I played a part in his son's.
- 39:09Speaker 4: His son did a short film called Tommy Rispoli, A
- 39:13Speaker 4: Man and His Music. And I was in that years
- 39:17Speaker 4: before summer school. Isn't that crazy? I remember my mother
- 39:20Speaker 4: putting brown dye, like a rinse out dye in my hair.
- 39:23Speaker 4: She's like, you want brown hair? You got brown. You
- 39:27Speaker 4: want black hair? She could have black hair.
- 39:28Speaker 2: She is a stage mom. Yeah, that Meathead character. He
- 39:32Speaker 2: didn't turn out to be anything.
- 39:33Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 39:35Speaker 12: Right.
- 39:36Speaker 2: But, yeah, that summer school cast is just kind of
- 39:39Speaker 2: amazing in its own right. We've had Dean on several times. Oh,
- 39:43Speaker 2: I love Dean. He's very special.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Actually, I love all of them. They're all... You had
- 39:48Speaker 4: a ball. They're awesome.
- 39:49Speaker 2: All those kids packed into one room at one time.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I would assume there's a lot going on there.
- 39:55Speaker 4: The funny thing was when I was actually pregnant with
- 39:58Speaker 4: my middle son and took a course at a junior
- 40:01Speaker 4: college because I couldn't work. And there were a couple
- 40:06Speaker 4: of people in the class that were like, this can't be.
- 40:10Speaker 4: It really... Seems a little familiar. Where's the hidden camera?
- 40:15Speaker 4: at least i didn't go into labor during final.
- 40:17Speaker 2: That's yeah at least warrants a do-over i mean but
- 40:22Speaker 2: then uh i mean right another one that was kind
- 40:24Speaker 2: of like we just in the last year or so
- 40:27Speaker 2: did a episode on i saw what you.
- 40:29Speaker 11: Did the original one were you familiar with that because
- 40:34Speaker 11: it's a strange movie especially for its time period So
- 40:37Speaker 11: were you familiar with the original as you kind of
- 40:40Speaker 11: went into.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Your version of it?
- 40:41Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 40:43Speaker 2: It's very strange.
- 40:44Speaker 4: So, yeah, it's... I knew it was a remake, but
- 40:48Speaker 4: I don't recall being real familiar. I was probably too scared.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Well, then definitely one of the ones I've revisited over
- 40:58Speaker 2: the years and was like, the blob is so kind
- 41:01Speaker 2: of ahead of its time for being... For still being
- 41:04Speaker 2: practical effects and for trying to, again, do a remake
- 41:07Speaker 2: of something that was already a great film. The blob
- 41:10Speaker 2: was awesome. Yeah, it like holds up.
- 41:11Speaker 4: The effects alone are almost as awesome as Kevin Dillon's mullet.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Do you let him live that down? I mean, you
- 41:21Speaker 2: can't really.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Oh, no. He would never let himself live that down.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it's mid-80s. You really can't fight it.
- 41:29Speaker 2: They just issued them. They're just like, sorry, you got
- 41:31Speaker 2: to have a mullet. Yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 4: It just went with it, yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 2: But then that's... I mean, I guess as far as
- 41:38Speaker 2: the effects, how much... As far as coordinating and trying
- 41:42Speaker 2: to plan that stuff out, how overly coordinated was everything
- 41:46Speaker 2: effects-wise trying to do those shots in the blog?
- 41:48Speaker 4: It was awesome because they used so many different practical... Yeah.
- 41:52Speaker 4: That's a perfect.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Pre-CG.
- 41:54Speaker 4: I don't know if that's probably the term.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's practical, yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Practical effects. Because sometimes it was a miniature. Sometimes it was.
- 42:04Speaker 4: You know, like a substance that had something that's in
- 42:09Speaker 4: McDonald's milkshakes. And then sometimes it was like students from
- 42:13Speaker 4: the local arts college in a silk with these long,
- 42:18Speaker 4: you know, like pressing. And sometimes there was a piece
- 42:22Speaker 4: of red tape on a stick that I was looking
- 42:24Speaker 4: at fighting for my life.
- 42:27Speaker 2: That's amazing. Yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 4: It was super cool.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I love when it... they still try to do it
- 42:31Speaker 2: a little bit, but there was something about, especially that
- 42:34Speaker 2: era in the eighties where they'd kind of figured out
- 42:36Speaker 2: how to do the practical effects and could work in miniatures.
- 42:39Speaker 2: And so they didn't have the CG crutch that comes
- 42:43Speaker 2: a little easier, I think, but.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Well, and it's, you know, you could just, you could
- 42:49Speaker 4: now it's like with the CGI, maybe that you could
- 42:52Speaker 4: do anything. So it's like, it's like everything too many choices,
- 42:56Speaker 4: you know, but really the coolest stuff comes from confines.
- 43:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 43:00Speaker 2: When you didn't have so many options, you know? Yeah,
- 43:03Speaker 2: you get creative.
- 43:04Speaker 4: You get creative.
- 43:05Speaker 2: That's right.
- 43:05Speaker 4: I think that's a big difference. That's how the first
- 43:07Speaker 4: Saw movie, that's what that came out of.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Well, that is one of those, yeah, I had to
- 43:11Speaker 2: get to. Like, just walking around here this weekend, I mean,
- 43:14Speaker 2: there's little kids painted up like the dummy, and there's
- 43:17Speaker 2: a girl walking by with a giant contraption on her head.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Who didn't even say hello to me.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Yeah. They probably forget who it's from.
- 43:24Speaker 3: I'm like, hello.
- 43:26Speaker 7: But they.
- 43:28Speaker 2: But, I mean, how weird is it to be immersed
- 43:30Speaker 2: in something that became that much a part of weird
- 43:33Speaker 2: pop culture, especially horror culture? Like, it's so ingrained in
- 43:37Speaker 2: all of that now.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Almost as cool as working with John Candy.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Well, that, yeah, that's another one.
- 43:43Speaker 4: That's tough to beat.
- 43:44Speaker 2: How amazing. Again, I only assume he's that awesome, but
- 43:47Speaker 2: you were there.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I was there. One night he called at, like,
- 43:53Speaker 4: 11 o'clock. Say, Shawnee, it's John. Come downstairs. Get in
- 43:56Speaker 4: the white limo. And I came downstairs and I get
- 44:01Speaker 4: in the white limo and it's him and Bon Jovi,
- 44:04Speaker 4: the whole band. And we went out like, you know,
- 44:08Speaker 4: bar hopping in Canada. Night ended with him on stage
- 44:12Speaker 4: singing the blues. It was pretty epic.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I mean, we all have those nights, sure. Hanging out
- 44:17Speaker 2: with Richie, you know. He was so generous.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, just the night in life.
- 44:24Speaker 2: But then it's, I mean, it is one of those, he,
- 44:26Speaker 2: I think, We all kind of know we lost him
- 44:29Speaker 2: too soon. But seeing his dramatic stuff, like, seeing, like,
- 44:32Speaker 2: Only the Lonely and stuff, where he just really had
- 44:35Speaker 2: such a skill for acting in general that, like, I
- 44:38Speaker 2: think we just got the tip of the iceberg with
- 44:40Speaker 2: the comedies. Like, he was pretty amazing.
- 44:43Speaker 4: It was reflecting the tragic.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 4: The tragedy.
- 44:48Speaker 2: That's most comedic people. Like, I feel like there's always
- 44:51Speaker 2: a weird mirror there that runs a little deeper.
- 44:54Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 44:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Well, then, again, we've hit some of the more recent.
- 44:59Speaker 2: We've hit Saul. Is there other stuff coming out you've
- 45:01Speaker 2: got in the works that you want to tell people about?
- 45:03Speaker 4: You know, I'm kind of retired.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Back to dancing. You know, when you started three.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Back to dancing. Yeah. No, I've just been kind of
- 45:14Speaker 4: enjoying the children and just taking a little.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Well, and these.
- 45:21Speaker 4: You know.
- 45:21Speaker 5: I've.
- 45:23Speaker 4: I've been enjoying the freedom of the confines of simple life.
- 45:27Speaker 4: I had to work my way backwards.
- 45:29Speaker 2: You know? Oh, yeah, really. Start as having a kid
- 45:32Speaker 2: in high school. Oh, wait, that was just the movie. But, yeah,
- 45:36Speaker 2: the convention scene is its own little world, too. Sometimes
- 45:41Speaker 2: it seems like it would be totally overwhelming from the
- 45:43Speaker 2: side of the table. So, yeah, I don't know. How
- 45:45Speaker 2: do you deal with this many people?
- 45:48Speaker 4: It's kind of what I imagined. Maybe a high school
- 45:52Speaker 4: reunion would be like for people who went to high school.
- 45:55Speaker 4: You know, it's like, I don't do a lot of these.
- 45:57Speaker 4: So every once in a while, it's like, you know,
- 46:00Speaker 4: reunion for the Saw cast. It's so much fun to
- 46:04Speaker 4: see each other and catch up. And the Saw fans
- 46:07Speaker 4: are so super awesome.
- 46:10Speaker 2: And you have people coming up to you going, ah,
- 46:12Speaker 2: and they know you. And you're like, wait, who are you?
- 46:15Speaker 4: And I trip out that like people, you know. mention
- 46:19Speaker 4: things like I saw what you did or crime of
- 46:21Speaker 4: innocence I mean it's just a trip you know.
- 46:24Speaker 2: You never know what's going to click with people and
- 46:26Speaker 2: what's going to like become their favorite thing like yeah
- 46:29Speaker 2: you just kind of keep working but they all attach
- 46:32Speaker 2: themselves to something different yeah it's.
- 46:33Speaker 4: A trip it's a ball and then believe me I'll
- 46:35Speaker 4: take a big long nap when I get home tomorrow
- 46:38Speaker 4: I believe it.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Alright I think that's all we need unless you have
- 46:42Speaker 2: anything else to pass along to people I think we
- 46:43Speaker 2: covered quite enough where your next dance recital will be
- 46:46Speaker 2: I think that's the next phase back to dance so
- 46:57Speaker 2: aside from her return to dance that I just assigned
- 47:00Speaker 2: her that I'm sure she'll be doing Johnny also wanted
- 47:03Speaker 2: to let all of you know that she'll be at
- 47:05Speaker 2: Crypticon in Minneapolis on October 27th and 28th so if
- 47:09Speaker 2: you can get yourself there stop by and see her
- 47:11Speaker 2: get her to sign your summer school poster like I
- 47:13Speaker 2: did and don't forget to mention that you heard her
- 47:16Speaker 2: here on Movie Meltdown.

- 49:27Speaker 12: The Blob. Starring Steve McQueen.
- 49:29Speaker 2: It creeps. It crawls. It's slithery. It's slimy.
- 49:32Speaker 5: The Blob.
- 49:33Speaker 12: Plus dinosaurs, both in shrinking colors.
- 49:46Speaker 2: I'll take every cent you've made. So, you guys know
- 49:54Speaker 2: we're broke, right?
- 49:56Speaker 5: We're always broke.
- 49:57Speaker 2: I know. And yet we're trying to put this show together.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Now how the hell can we keep the show rolling
- 50:04Speaker 2: if we're broke and we can't do this?
- 50:06Speaker 5: Sell special fiddle fowl. Oh.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Or instead, murder people. Are you just taking random money
- 50:15Speaker 2: out of their pockets? Well, yeah.
- 50:16Speaker 5: Sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Hopefully it won't come to that.
- 50:20Speaker 5: Especially if they're peeping.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Some people will get on board with this.
- 50:24Speaker 5: Get on board with what?
- 50:26Speaker 2: The new Movie Meltdown Patreon page. And what is this?
- 50:29Speaker 2: If you go there, you can sponsor the show itself. Basically,
- 50:34Speaker 2: you just join the club. You join the Meltdown Club.
- 50:36Speaker 2: You become a milketeer.
- 50:37Speaker 5: Do you get a special decoder ring?
- 50:39Speaker 2: We already sent those out, but those people, nobody cares.
- 50:41Speaker 5: I didn't get a decoder ring.
- 50:43Speaker 2: You're not part of the club.
- 50:44Speaker 5: I'm never part of the club.
- 50:47Speaker 2: You're part of the secret circle, though.
- 50:48Speaker 8: It's okay.
- 50:50Speaker 2: But if you become a milketeer, you can get special
- 50:53Speaker 2: episodes that only come to you. I think you should
- 50:56Speaker 2: do it right now.
- 50:57Speaker 5: Right now?
- 50:58Speaker 2: I'm just saying. It's maybe a couple of bucks. There's
- 51:02Speaker 2: other levels you can kick in and get fancier.
- 51:03Speaker 9: Maybe a couple bucks.
- 51:04Speaker 2: You don't know. Fancier stuff. But really, just a couple
- 51:07Speaker 2: of bucks will keep things rolling. What'll get me a pony?
- 51:11Speaker 2: That's a really high level. I'll have to figure out
- 51:15Speaker 2: exactly what.
- 51:16Speaker 9: That's platinum membership right there.
- 51:18Speaker 2: It might be above platinum. We'll have to see.
- 51:21Speaker 9: What is above platinum?
- 51:23Speaker 2: Titanium. Titanium.
- 51:25Speaker 3: Really?
- 51:27Speaker 2: Maybe that's a step below.
- 51:28Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 51:28Speaker 2: We'll have to see.
- 51:29Speaker 5: Aluminium level.
- 51:31Speaker 9: That's way below.
- 51:33Speaker 5: Not if you say it fancy.
- 51:34Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 51:35Speaker 8: Unobtainium.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:39Speaker 8: Good luck with that.
- 51:40Speaker 2: But for the rest of you, go kick in a
- 51:42Speaker 2: couple bucks. Keep the show rolling. Go to patreon.com slash
- 51:46Speaker 2: movie meltdown. And if you don't know how to type
- 51:49Speaker 2: all that in, go to the movie meltdown.com page. And
- 51:51Speaker 2: the link's right there. And you can save this show.
- 51:55Speaker 5: And help me get a pony.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Damn them, man. Save the meltdown. Get Misty a pony.
- 52:00Speaker 5: Yeah. Priorities.
- 52:12Speaker 9: We've all got quirks.
- 52:13Speaker 12: I've got them.
- 52:13Speaker 9: You've got them, Dave.
- 52:14Speaker 2: That's what makes this character so, so compelling. Thumbs up
- 52:17Speaker 2: from me.
- 52:18Speaker 5: Same here.
- 52:23Speaker 1: This is Dean Cameron, also known as Chainsaw, and you're
- 52:26Speaker 1: listening to Moving Up Down.
- 52:34Speaker 12: I'm Chainsaw.
- 52:35Speaker 2: I'm Dave.
- 52:35Speaker 9: We'll see you at the movies.
- 52:45Speaker 8: It's part of your problem, you know.
- 52:46Speaker 12: You haven't seen enough movies. All of life's riddles are
- 52:49Speaker 12: answered in the movies.
- 52:52Speaker 5: And now, on with the show.
- 53:26Speaker 2: So, you say you've watched something lately.
- 53:30Speaker 5: Well, there's been, like, we watched only, oh, I watched
- 53:33Speaker 5: a movie. Boyfriend watched two-fifths of a movie.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I can't imagine what happened. Yeah, exactly.
- 53:41Speaker 5: He was wandering off to go film old videos of
- 53:45Speaker 5: him fighting. Just post on the Facebooks.
- 53:48Speaker 6: It was to send him my old trainer. We were
- 53:52Speaker 6: doing a whole 20 year anniversary thing. One of the
- 53:56Speaker 6: guys that I trained with, he found some video from
- 54:00Speaker 6: 20 years ago and posted it.
- 54:01Speaker 13: And I was like, holy shit.
- 54:02Speaker 3: So I had to go back and dig through all
- 54:04Speaker 3: my old VHS seeds and I hadn't really looked at
- 54:08Speaker 3: them in 20 years.
- 54:09Speaker 5: And your VCR kept eating them.
- 54:11Speaker 2: That's what I was going to say. Do you have
- 54:12Speaker 2: a good way to play them? Because I have a
- 54:14Speaker 2: couple of tapes of stuff I remember shooting at the time.
- 54:16Speaker 2: I'm like, I'd kind of like to watch it again,
- 54:18Speaker 2: but I don't trust anything. And I think you can
- 54:21Speaker 2: transfer it.
- 54:21Speaker 8: But I think it's expensive.
- 54:23Speaker 2: So I just haven't.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Well, my way of transferring it was hooking up the
- 54:29Speaker 3: VCR to it.
- 54:30Speaker 5: Hoping for the best. Hoping it didn't need it.
- 54:32Speaker 3: Well, it ate two of my tapes and broke.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Two of them. Jesus.
- 54:36Speaker 3: But, you know, being the.
- 54:39Speaker 5: He fucking MacGyvered that shit.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Yeah. It was the tape.
- 54:42Speaker 9: Yeah. A little bit of scotch tape.
- 54:44Speaker 2: I've played that game before. Yeah, yeah. You know that.
- 54:46Speaker 3: If you grew up during the cassette tape, VHS.
- 54:49Speaker 2: A lot of mine were more cassette tapes, probably. VHS.
- 54:52Speaker 2: I didn't get to... I did all my editing in
- 54:55Speaker 2: camera usually, so not as much the other way.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Mine was, it was like if I had, I mean,
- 55:00Speaker 3: it was kind of a common thing back then. If
- 55:02Speaker 3: you had a VCR that ate tapes, sometimes they did
- 55:07Speaker 3: that when they got dirty. Cause you remember you had
- 55:08Speaker 3: to put the head, the VCR head cleaner and you
- 55:11Speaker 3: had to clean them.
- 55:11Speaker 2: The wet or dry depends on what you're looking for.
- 55:13Speaker 3: But so, uh, so I, you know, I've got experience, uh,
- 55:17Speaker 3: taping stuff back together. So I got to break out
- 55:19Speaker 3: those skills again. And, uh, I was having problems with
- 55:23Speaker 3: my VHSC adapter, which I found out it quit eating
- 55:27Speaker 3: tapes and worked better if I broke the dust covers
- 55:30Speaker 3: off the little flappy dust cover that goes on the VHSC.
- 55:34Speaker 3: I just broke them off. Because I had one that
- 55:37Speaker 3: was already broken.
- 55:38Speaker 2: So you can kind of just pull that little pin
- 55:40Speaker 2: and it pops off.
- 55:42Speaker 9: I just, you know.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Hold on, you're implying the boyfriend shouldn't break something?
- 55:46Speaker 2: Well, I mean, feel free to. I do remember, again,
- 55:49Speaker 2: sort of manipulating and I messed with more tapes than
- 55:52Speaker 2: I needed to over the years. I just broke it.
- 55:55Speaker 3: I just broke the thing.
- 55:57Speaker 9: Took it off.
- 55:58Speaker 3: And then they all worked fine. I ended up quitting
- 56:00Speaker 3: the tapes.
- 56:01Speaker 5: And it just gave you a reason to get away
- 56:03Speaker 5: from that god-awful movie.
- 56:04Speaker 9: Oh my god, it did.
- 56:05Speaker 3: Because I was sitting there watching and I was like,
- 56:07Speaker 3: this sucks. This really, really fucking sucks.
- 56:10Speaker 9: I've seen some.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Movies before that suck, but this is just This doesn't
- 56:13Speaker 3: even suck in a fun way. It sucks in a,
- 56:17Speaker 3: and not even in a horrible way, like torture. It
- 56:22Speaker 3: just sucked as in, I just don't fucking care about
- 56:25Speaker 3: this at all.
- 56:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:26Speaker 3: You know, and then, you know. one of my trainers
- 56:30Speaker 3: messaged me and was like, Hey, I need a copy
- 56:32Speaker 3: of that one tape. And I was like, hell yeah.
- 56:34Speaker 8: So I'm on it.
- 56:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Whatever gets me out of here. I mean, yes, I'll
- 56:37Speaker 2: get it right to you.
- 56:38Speaker 3: But my transferring, because he's like transferred the digital. Well,
- 56:41Speaker 3: my transferring VHS, the digital is a VCR attached to
- 56:45Speaker 3: my flat screen TV. And then me standing there with
- 56:47Speaker 3: my phone videotaping half an hour without moving.
- 56:52Speaker 2: I've done a short version of that. Sometimes I'm like,
- 56:54Speaker 2: I just need a copy of this. Here's my phone.
- 56:57Speaker 2: That'll do. That's how I do a lot of my
- 56:59Speaker 2: transferring of information. I'll just like, just take a picture
- 57:01Speaker 2: of that on my, on my computer screen. And now
- 57:03Speaker 2: it's on my phone close enough. Does it look terrible? Yeah,
- 57:06Speaker 2: but I can read it.
- 57:07Speaker 9: It's fine.
- 57:07Speaker 2: So I got it down.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Like I had, I had done several videos and I
- 57:12Speaker 3: just kind of built up because there were certain, I
- 57:15Speaker 3: was like, Oh, I gotta, I gotta take this. And
- 57:17Speaker 3: that was like a five minute or a three minute video.
- 57:20Speaker 3: And then I was like, Oh, I gotta get the
- 57:21Speaker 3: spider bite.
- 57:22Speaker 9: I gotta, I gotta do this one. That's a long story.
- 57:24Speaker 9: We don't need to get into. Um, I was like,
- 57:26Speaker 9: I need to get this one. That was like an
- 57:28Speaker 9: 11-minute video.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Before you knew it, I was up to like a
- 57:30Speaker 3: half an hour, 34, 48 minutes.
- 57:34Speaker 10: Of standing there trying to keep my hands steady and
- 57:37Speaker 10: keep everything in frame and stuff like that and not
- 57:40Speaker 10: move around too much, which actually came out pretty good
- 57:42Speaker 10: because one of the guys thought he was like, how
- 57:44Speaker 10: did you get it transferred to video or digital?
- 57:48Speaker 3: He's like, if you're transferring everything to digital. I was like, no, dude,
- 57:50Speaker 3: that's just me standing with my phone.
- 57:52Speaker 2: He's like, oh my God. My camera's digital.
- 57:55Speaker 8: Close enough.
- 57:56Speaker 9: It works.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Technically it is now digital.
- 57:58Speaker 8: So yes.
- 57:58Speaker 9: It's on YouTube now.
- 57:59Speaker 13: So that's cool.
- 58:01Speaker 5: Should we go back to the shitty movie?
- 58:02Speaker 9: Yes.
- 58:02Speaker 12: Yes.
- 58:03Speaker 9: Go back to the movie.
- 58:04Speaker 5: We watched Creep. Well, I watched Creepshow 3. I watched
- 58:08Speaker 5: part of it. You watched the first.
- 58:09Speaker 2: That's one of those I forgot became a thing.
- 58:12Speaker 5: The first two segments or three segments? You watched the
- 58:14Speaker 5: first three segments.
- 58:16Speaker 2: First three segments. So yeah, you watched.
- 58:17Speaker 9: I gave it a little bit of a chance.
- 58:18Speaker 5: Three fifths of the movie.
- 58:20Speaker 2: First part of it.
- 58:21Speaker 3: First segment came on, I was like, this is pretty weak.
- 58:24Speaker 5: It was incredibly weak.
- 58:25Speaker 3: Some weak-ass shit. Special effects aren't that great.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Awful.
- 58:29Speaker 3: Acting's horrible.
- 58:30Speaker 12: Shitty.
- 58:30Speaker 3: I don't give a fuck about any of these people
- 58:32Speaker 3: in this movie.
- 58:32Speaker 5: Oh, they were the worst.
- 58:33Speaker 3: I was like, oh, you know what's going on, or why,
- 58:35Speaker 3: is this supposed to be creepy? I don't know. It doesn't,
- 58:38Speaker 3: I mean, it's a creep show. You would think it
- 58:39Speaker 3: was supposed to be creepy.
- 58:40Speaker 4: But it's not.
- 58:41Speaker 3: It's just kind of like, oh, okay, well, that's dumb.
- 58:45Speaker 3: All right, what's the next one?
- 58:47Speaker 5: Well, it starts off even shittier, because remember the shitty
- 58:49Speaker 5: animation that led into the movie?
- 58:52Speaker 9: No, I didn't watch it.
- 58:54Speaker 2: I remembered, I was like, I thought this was pretty recent,
- 58:58Speaker 2: so I just looked it up to make sure.
- 58:59Speaker 7: 2006.
- 59:00Speaker 2: 2006. I mean, it's of the new millennium freak show.
- 59:04Speaker 5: I thought it was more recent than that, and then
- 59:06Speaker 5: there's this, the very opening, I don't want to say skit,
- 59:09Speaker 5: but there's each segment. And it's a girl. I wanted
- 59:13Speaker 5: to punch her in her face immediately. And she's walking
- 59:15Speaker 5: down the street. There's sidewalks on either side of the street.
- 59:18Speaker 5: And she is walking her ass on her phone in
- 59:22Speaker 5: the middle of the fucking road. Just walking down her
- 59:25Speaker 5: little neighborhood street complaining.
- 59:26Speaker 2: About how much. That's how you do it.
- 59:27Speaker 9: I'm like, bitch, get out of here.
- 59:29Speaker 3: That's part of her character, though, if you realize, is
- 59:32Speaker 3: the fact that she's self-centered. She doesn't give a fuck
- 59:35Speaker 3: about anybody.
- 59:37Speaker 9: That's her life.
- 59:38Speaker 2: There are no rules that are more important than her.
- 59:41Speaker 9: For her, yeah.
- 59:42Speaker 3: And they kind of make that out towards the end
- 59:44Speaker 3: of that skit, how much of a piece of shit
- 59:47Speaker 3: she is.
- 59:49Speaker 5: And there's just, nothing gets explained.
- 59:51Speaker 8: No, it doesn't.
- 59:52Speaker 5: And then, as I said, I thought it was a
- 59:54Speaker 5: little bit more recent than when I said as she's
- 59:55Speaker 5: walking down the street being a complete and utter self-centered cunt,
- 59:58Speaker 5: she's just sitting there and I'm like, is she on
- 59:59Speaker 5: a fucking Nokia?
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Yep, she's on an old brick Nokia.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: That would be why.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: And she was like, when did this movie come out?
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: And I was sitting there and I was trying to think,
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: when did I have that phone? It had to have
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: been around. What did I say, 2004, 2005?
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Like full-on brick or like flip phone?
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: No, no, full-on brick.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: The first ones were, because mine, the first one I
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: had that was a Nokia had like, they did the
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: ones that was just kind of the smaller version of
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: that giant brick. But then the first one, mine had
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: a little flip like. It would cover up the bottom speaker, basically.
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: No, no, it wasn't even that flippy. We're not talking
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: about the big brick.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Sorry to say, because those are like late 90s. So
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: if she had that in 2006, she was a loser.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: I would say it's not that big.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's like the first of that smaller thing.
- 1:00:41Speaker 9: The one that had Snake.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that is a good game.
- 1:00:45Speaker 9: And what other game did it have on it?
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: It had Snake.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: You didn't need any game other than Snake.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: It had another game.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: I think mine had some kind of Space Invader type game.
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: On it, too.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Screw Fortnite. Snake's where it's at, man. Yeah, Snake's awesome.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: She was just a useless piece of shit. And it's like,
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: none of it made sense. It's like, she walks into
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: her house, her dad's trying to work the remote, and
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: it's a special remote, and he hits a button, and
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: next thing you know, she's alone, and she's outside, and
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: they don't address the fact that her hands morphed together,
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: and I'm like, alright, she didn't even look at her
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: weird morphed hand. How are you not looking at your
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: fingers fused together?
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: She's not acknowledging the fact that she's And she goes
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: back into the house.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Going by the way you're doing your hand, it's got
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: like a shoehorn hand going.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: It looks kind of like this.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: Shoehorn.
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: No, that's shells.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Shells.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: Like pasta shells.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Making pasta shells.
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: Anyway, so she goes back into her house and it's
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: her family, but it's a different family. It's like a
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: black version of her family.
- 1:01:43Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: So this is Back to the Future 2.
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: She's in a different neighborhood.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: And they have the entire fucking same conversation. And he
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: hits the button again. Next thing you know, she's got
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: a fucking Spanish family.
- 1:01:55Speaker 9: And she's more fucking got.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Her foot.
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: She at least looks at her foot.
- 1:02:00Speaker 9: And yeah, more boils and ooziness.
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: No explanation whatsoever as to why this is happening.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: It continues the same thing over and over again. It's
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: her going in the.
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: House, different family.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: They change the channel. She ends up with more crap
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: on her.
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: Until she finally ends up back with her original family,
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: and she looks fine, and he hits the button one
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: last time, and she just completely had to tell Boil Monster,
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: and it's just.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: Starts falling apart. She runs outside. She's falling to pieces.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: And the next thing you know, she's a rabbit.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Is there a point to this?
- 1:02:32Speaker 13: No.
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: None.
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: There's no goal.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Because once they do it, I'm like, I could see
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: where you could turn that into something, but it's not
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: sounding like it is.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Well, the only thing is, is there's the doctor.
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: Well, no, there's the scientist. There's the weird scientist... That
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: lives in the neighborhood.
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: They do kind of try to tie the skits together
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: in some fashion. They'll show this character's with no other
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: in this one, and they'll try to interweave it, but
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: it's very, very poorly interwoven.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: But the scientist guy, he apparently gave the remote as
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: a joke to her dad, and the remote reveals her
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: true self, which is this giant blobby monster, and then
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: he turns her into a rabbit. And then the family
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: forgets that she ever existed.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: And the world forgot this movie exists.
- 1:03:22Speaker 9: And then it went to the next skit.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: The next segment, which was the radio one.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: The radio.
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: The radio. Which did have the only person I would
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: call a name, A.J. Bowen.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: All right. All right. I like that part.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: He's playing kind of down on his luck. A security
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: guard who lives in a very shitty, run-down, ghetto-ass, prostituting, pimping,
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: tenement area. Nice, nice. And he buys a radio.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Well, he breaks his first radio on accident. The antenna breaks.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: What's an antenna?
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: You know, and then he throws this radio. I'm like, dude,
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: you know, I broke the antenna on my radio when
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: I was a kid.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: Fucking shoved a coat hanger in.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: That's what coat hangers and aluminum foil are for. What's
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: wrong with you, dude?
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: So he has to go out and buy another radio
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: off these weird, loud-ass, obnoxious street vendors who are just like.
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: Who you find out got all the radios from the scientist.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Oh, you weren't there for that part.
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: Oh, there's a wraparound story happening. Spoiler alert. So he
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: gets the radio for like $ 5. And it starts talking
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: to him and telling him to do things.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Ooh, nice.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: Sexy woman voice.
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: Yeah, she was bitchy. She was naggy mom voice.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Well, she started out sexy woman voice, and then it
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: got bitchy because then she was telling.
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: Him, you know, eat. And he's like, I'm not hungry.
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: She's like, eat something. And then he gets a can
- 1:04:53Speaker 9: of soup. She's like, not that. It's too hot. Eat
- 1:04:56Speaker 9: a sandwich. I'm just like, what? What?
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Why is this?
- 1:05:00Speaker 9: Why is this dialogue?
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Why do you care? You're a radio. Yeah.
- 1:05:04Speaker 9: He's like, do you want anything to eat? She's like,
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: don't be stupid.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: I'm a radio.
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: And it doesn't get any better.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: No.
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: At any point.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Leave poor AJ alone. Why is he had to put
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: up with this nonsense?
- 1:05:18Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: Then there's the one with the prostitutes who live in
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: the tenement. She gets her own story. She's got some
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: big ass monster calves. I'm not even sure.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Is that part of the story or just as a person?
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: No. In the show, in the movie, she's got these
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: big ass... She's very muscular.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: She's been doing a lot of Nordic trackers.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: She's been doing some squats. I don't know. Anyways, the
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: whole thing is she's a serial killer. Alright. Who gets
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: a call from this guy. She's in the neighborhood that
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: The scientist lives in.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: That the scientist lives in.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Somebody wandered back.
- 1:05:53Speaker 12: In the room.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: See?
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: No, he was still there for the third segment.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: No, he was still there for the third one.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: She plays a serial killer who's killing all of the
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Johns and everything. So this guy calls her to the
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: house and finds out that he's a vampire. I'm a vampire.
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: I'm a vampire. A very shitty vampire.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: With the worst mask. It looks like they bought, like,
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: an Evil Eddie mask.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it looks like they went to Spirit and got
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: a mask.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: Stuck it on his face.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: Because it is just so, like, it doesn't match his
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: skin tone. And it, I mean, it looks like a
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: rubber mask.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Nothing but the best.
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Quality effects.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: It didn't, like, close or anything.
- 1:06:34Speaker 9: No, it was just fixed. It didn't move.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: Yeah, it was atrocious. I can't remember if it was
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: the second or third one. I got the fourth and
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: fifth one mixed up. I don't know which one came.
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: Because then there was the actual scientist one episode where
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: he had a wife and he invited some of the
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: students who interacted with the muscle calf lady. And he
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: invites his students over because he's going to marry this lady.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: And they're convinced that he's a scientist and she's not real.
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: She's a robot. because she can't remember how they met,
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: and she's just too perfect for him, and she's all nice,
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: and she likes to cook, but she's just very weird.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: They're like, oh, this is the project he's been working
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: on all these years. He's finally built a perfect woman.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: So when he has to run to the store, they
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: decide to find all the working bits in the perfect woman.
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: And after they've already completely disemboweled and gutted, and they're
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: playing in her blood.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: Oh, that's so realistic.
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: I can't believe how good this looks. Oh my God,
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: look at the brain. This is the most realistic brain
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: I've ever seen. After they go through and pull out
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: everything in her entire body.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: I.
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: Don't think this is a robot. I think it's a
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: real person. She was a mail-order bride.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: I'm like, what?
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: And so they clean her up. They put all the
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: pieces in cabinets and the oven, and then they run,
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: and then the guy comes back, and he finds her
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: head in the oven. End of segment. What?
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: What? That's not a very nice thing to do to
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: a robot.
- 1:08:01Speaker 13: Or a person, really.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: And then the shitty doctor, who's just the worst shitty
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: doctor ever. The druggie, and apparently the judge made him do, like,
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: clinic work for free. He did something bad.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: They never really explained why he has to work in
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: this shitty free hospital or anything. But he's just, like,
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: the absolute worst. He's just, like, the worst. And there was, like,
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: a hot dog involved.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Does it make him lose control?
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: No, he's being a dick to this homeless person. And
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: he's being a dick to people in line waiting for
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: their hot dogs. So he cuts in front of everybody,
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: grabs a hot dog. As soon as he grabs the
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: hot dog, he drops it. So he gives it to
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: the homeless person. The homeless person dies after he eats
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: the hot dog. So the rest of the movie is
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: the homeless guy chasing him around, pulling the hot dog
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: back out of his mouth.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: This sounds great.
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: At one point, he stabs the homeless ghost. And then
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: the homeless ghost.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: No, I'm not done.
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: The homeless ghost then reaches inside and pulls the hot
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: dog out of his stomach all in one piece.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: That's not how you have a hot dog.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: I'm surprised the homeless guy didn't stab him with a
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: hot dog.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: With a hot dog. That's kind of where I thought
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: you were going for a second there.
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I thought too. No, I think he
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: was trying to offer the hot dog back and then
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: the guy died. I don't understand what the fuck happened.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: So the homeless guy who's been living in a life
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: of filth dies from a hot dog that fell on
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: the ground.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: They probably still had like five second rule going, right?
- 1:09:32Speaker 9: That doesn't make any sense.
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: Maybe he choked. I don't fucking know. They didn't really
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: go into detail. They're just like, oh, it was a
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: bad hot dog. What the fuck?
- 1:09:39Speaker 9: Well, if he choked, it wasn't a bad hot dog.
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: I don't know. They didn't go into detail.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: I don't know what happened. Well, if it was all
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: in one piece in his stomach, that could be the problem. Dude,
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: chew your food.
- 1:09:48Speaker 9: Come on. He just fucking inhaled it. Like a dog.
- 1:09:52Speaker 9: This is the only hot dog I'll ever get.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I need it now.
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: So from beginning to end, just completely shitty. But then
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: they bring him back around. I don't know if the
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: scientist segment came last. Then they show him getting married
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: to the woman. Because apparently he's reassembled her and made
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: her into some kind of zombie robot.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: I don't know. Zombie robot.
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: Because then at some point when she throws the bouquet,
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: her hand goes with it, and he goes and grabs it.
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: She's so wacky. She's such a trickster.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Remember when Creepshow used to be good?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Kind of. That's a long time ago.
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: I would defend Creepshow, too.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: The raft.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: But again, that was pretty quick. Again, sometimes you have
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: to question, like, why did you wait so long to
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: do another one?
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: I mean, when did the first and second ones come out?
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: It's like, 84.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Or something for that first one it's like a long
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: time ago.
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: And they were all just i mean all of them
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: you know they would you would have your favorite segment
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: in each one but they were all fairly good.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Top quality writers directors actors yeah i can't remember any
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: of them except for that goddamn raft i fucking remember
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: that what.
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: About the one with stephen king which one was stephen
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: king It was the one where there was a meteor
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: that landed in his backyard. Was that the first? Was
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: that the first?
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: I think it's in the first one.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: Is that the one where the guy was growing plants
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: all over himself?
- 1:11:13Speaker 9: Okay, now I remember that one.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: But you've got to remind me of that one. I
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: don't have to be reminded of this one.
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: Because I never shut up about the raft.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Well, no, even before we met, I had seen that.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Me and my friend Larry watched Creepshow, and that was
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: one of the ones that stuck with me was the raft.
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: Wasn't Ted Danson in one? Yeah.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Isn't that the non-smoking? Something in that first one I
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: know they're trying to condition people to stop smoking by
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: using very expensive ways.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: Is that the one where they start cutting the.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: I thought it was the one where he was buried
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: up to his head in sand.
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: Yeah, that's that one.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: There was another one where they would start torturing the wife.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: If they didn't quit smoking because the lady was missing
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: a pinky or something like that.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: See, there's good stuff going on in those first two.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: And then, you know, you wait a thousand years to
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: do a sequel.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Wasn't there one too that had the girl that had,
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: she had the cat and the dad kept throwing the
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: cat outside because he didn't want it to be an
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: inside cat. But there was like this weird troll creature
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: that was trying to get in her house.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Isn't that cat's eye? I think you're working in, which
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: is also like, I think there's a couple of, it
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: was kind of the same thing around the same time.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: Sort of Stephen King connected.
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:37Speaker 9: So I can't remember.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: I think that I, and it's been a long damn time.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: I don't even know if I watched it in its entirety.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: That's just one of those that was on cable at
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the time. I think there's a tiny Drew Barrymore in
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: there somewhere and a cat and cats will suck your
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: breath out and all that kind of craziness.
- 1:12:52Speaker 9: So yeah.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: But again, that's I think the difference is like the
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: reason Creepshow got made was because they pulled in the
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: biggest names in horror. And we're like, hey, you guys
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: want to make some like short films and then we'll
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: put them all together in this thing.
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: And it'll be.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: Kind of like a comic book, but brought to life.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: And like everybody was like top of their game. So
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: I think when you just randomly throw some stuff together
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: for a straight to VHS slash DVD release. Many years later, like...
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: But the stories were weak.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: I mean, they were, like, super weak.
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: They were, like.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: It's low-end writers, too.
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: Like, written by fifth graders.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: You know what would be cool?
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Is if she's walking down the street, and then the
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: remote control, it makes her into.
- 1:13:34Speaker 9: And she turns into a monster, and then.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: But then it turns out she's not even a robot.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: So they put her head in the oven.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty much the way it's written and the
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: way the dialogue is and everything. The acting and the
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: dialogue just in that first segment when it started. Even
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: through the first, second, and third that I sat through
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: was weak.
- 1:13:59Speaker 9: It was weak, horrible, and forced.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: And it was like they hadn't done any previous takes
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: it was like let's just wing it you know it was.
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: Like hey hey hey hey you uh.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: What are you doing here i just showed him the
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: vampire which oh you showed him yeah that's pretty bad yeah.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Yeah so after that delivery they'd be like good enough
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: let's go moving on.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Next shot yeah it's just it was really bad nice.
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: Like seriously this was it was atrocious there was no
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: there was no redeeming qualities about this movie whatsoever i
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: mean aj bowen wasn't bad.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Yeah yeah again he's always he's always good but you
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: know you end up in some weird projects and again
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: you'd sign on thinking hey creep show you know it's
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: cool if they're bringing back creep show i'm gonna have
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: great people involved again but like yeah you already signed
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: the contract and little do you know maybe they didn't
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: bring in you know the top quality that they did
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: the first times around so this is why I always,
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: I'm suspect of these like much later returning to a series.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Cause it's another one of those, like it was years
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: later and somebody mentioned the third tales from the crypt
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: movie in quotes. And I'm like, wait, there was a
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: third one. And then like, I looked it up and
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: was like, Oh yeah, there was. And like, i'm guessing
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: it didn't get a theatrical release or so not much
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: of one but yeah it was like years later and
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: didn't really have a again the other ones had like
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: big stars in them and like so when you come
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: back to a series it does seem like you're grasping
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: at straws and trying to just find a way to
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: make money off of something and capitalize on the name
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: and yeah i don't know it's not a not a
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: good idea I need to watch Creepshow 2 again. I'm sorry.
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: I'm looking at how it had like old Chief Woodenhead.
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: That one was fucking amazing. The rap and the hitchhiker.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: There was only three segments in that one.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Because they knew what to do. So they knew how
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: to just do solid stories. Let's not waste our time
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: with other stuff nobody cares about.
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:16:00Speaker 9: Well, that's the thing.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: When she had said something, she was like, we need
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: to watch this movie that we've had for a while.
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: It's a Netflix movie.
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: She goes, Creepshow 3.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: And I was like, holy shit, Creepshow.
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: Yeah, I want to see Creepshow. And we sat down
- 1:16:11Speaker 9: to watch it, and I was kind of like, all right,
- 1:16:12Speaker 9: this is stupid.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: Put my camera in front of a screen.
- 1:16:17Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: I've got to go stand here and get cramps for
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: half an hour with my arms.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: Stand still in a room by myself for an hour.
- 1:16:24Speaker 9: Yeah, that's pretty much what it was. Yep.
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: It was atrocious. I wish I had that time back
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: in my life. I had at least a little bit
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: of hope. I mean, like I said, the second one,
- 1:16:34Speaker 5: like I said, the raft. I mean, the raft gets
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: a pass for life. But yeah, I knew it wasn't
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: going to be as good. I knew it wasn't going
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: to be like that quality. But it's like I figured
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: it would at least be.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: watchable because even like so much.
- 1:16:49Speaker 5: Like literally like not even like through the first segment
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: i'm like is it me or is this almost beyond
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: like watchable is this like yeah unwatchable because it's just
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: so poorly like everything about it was just absolutely.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: Shit yep and i was like okay i'm out i'm
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: checking out right.
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: Now he peaced out real quick yep sounds like a
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: winner made three fifths of the way through and i
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: sat there and i'm like Could stop watching this, but
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: I didn't watch anything else since the last time we
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: did the podcast. And I know Brian's going to want
- 1:17:17Speaker 5: to record something.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: Aside from more episodes of Deadbeat.
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Literally all we've watched is Deadbeat and the
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: ID channel for the past however long it's been since
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: we did the podcast.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: Because I love Deadbeat. We haven't kind of put a
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: hold on whatever, Dead Last, the older show of Tyler Labine.
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: Because once we got the Hulus and we started watching Deadbeat,
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: I just can't stop because it's just so great. It's hilarious,
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: but not yet Reaper hilarious. But it's pretty fucking funny.
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: And I can't remember her name. Is it Lucy DeVito?
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: Is that her name? Yes.
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: Lucy DeVito.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: All right. We're supposed to look for her.
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: You ought to know who she is.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: Danny DeVito's in it, too, for a short time.
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: He's in one episode. I totally forgot he was in it.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: Yep. He's in one episode.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Yeah, but Lucy DeVito, she's in at least the first
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: two seasons.
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: Half of it is a live character, half of it
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: is a ghost. Because I don't think Tyler Labine can
- 1:18:15Speaker 5: do anything that doesn't involve him, like, talking to ghosts
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: or spirits.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Sometimes you just run into ghosts a lot.
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: Because at least three TV shows that we've watched, or
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: at least started to watch, where all they do is
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: help ghosts or send spirits to hell.
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: This one, though, by far, I think is one of
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: his funniest roles. I mean, even his sock role is
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: pretty funny on Reaper, but.
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: Well, because this is all him.
- 1:18:41Speaker 9: It's all him, and it's just fucking hilarious.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: But I feel bad for him sometimes, because he is just,
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: he is such a shit magnet that like everything just,
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: like I said, he's a shit magnet. Nothing goes right
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: in his life. The worst possible things happen to him constantly.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: But yet he keeps a fairly decent attitude about things
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: most of the time. He's a train wreck, but he's
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: fucking hilarious as a train wreck.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: Even that show where Tyler Robine inherits some kids to
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: be the new dad to. Two of the kids?
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: Ghost.
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: I would totally watch it.
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: I'm probably making that up.
- 1:19:20Speaker 5: I wouldn't be surprised, though. That's the twist at the
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: end of the show.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: Turns out they were ghosts the whole time.
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: That's the end of the season arc that it didn't
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: quite get filmed. It was that they were ghosts.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Yeah. That happens.
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: Fun and carnival.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: Otherwise, I'd say that about does it for this week.

- 1:20:26Speaker 14: To see what makes me up and focus on the
- 1:20:30Speaker 14: holes I'd be the world around the sun Hopelessly spinning
- 1:20:39Speaker 14: round you, yeah Turning every leaf in stone But.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: That's not the way it goes.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I have to wait till I get to.
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: The other side Good night.
- 1:21:42Speaker 9: To begin, at least that's.
- 1:21:44Speaker 15: What I hope For a moment I could be Something
- 1:21:53Speaker 15: a bit more complete, yeah But we never keep what
- 1:22:00Speaker 15: makes us whole And that's just the way it goes.
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: Just to see you I have to.
- 1:22:18Speaker 16: Wait till I get to the other side Cause I never,
- 1:22:26Speaker 16: never got to say.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Goodbye And I will.
- 1:22:30Speaker 16: Mix with every breath I take The channel sadness flows
- 1:22:37Speaker 16: through everything The.
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: Channel sadness.
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: I have to wait. Just to see. Cause I never,
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: never got.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: To say.
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: It's a tutorial on how to make shadow puppets.
- 1:24:09Speaker 5: That's what we're doing tonight.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: Try to control yourself.
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: Bye, Darren Bousman.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: Bye. I love you.
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: I'll talk to you soon.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: Love you. Kiss the baby for me.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: I know what me and the girlfriend are doing tonight.
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: Fucking shadow puppets.
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: I'm not really running out of fucking shadow.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: Out of control.
- 1:24:33Speaker 9: Holy shit.
