- 0:19Speaker 1: a confidant ba ba bump bump. And if we threw
- 0:25Speaker 1: a party and invited everyone we knew you would see,
- 0:35Speaker 1: the biggest gift would be from me, and the card
- 0:40Speaker 1: attached would say thank you for being a friend. That's
- 0:45Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Are you back? Are you back
- 0:49Speaker 1: on the weed? Am I back on the weed? Yeah?
- 0:54Speaker 1: I mean not like all the time, so yes, so yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh boy, you're growing your face your hair out? No,
- 1:07Speaker 1: I just haven't shaved. Oh um. We did a whole
- 1:11Speaker 1: other podcast while we waited for you. I'm so sorry,
- 1:16Speaker 1: my friends, my friends, I'm so sorry. I apologize to you.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But the card attashed say thank you for being Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:30Speaker 1: he's here. He found us. Well, we waited for Donald
- 1:33Speaker 1: for a half hour. He had to upload his new
- 1:36Speaker 1: what something on your computer? No, for some reason, my
- 1:40Speaker 1: computer just it does this. It just uh it up,
- 1:46Speaker 1: it upgraded itself. Daniel can tell you how to turn
- 1:49Speaker 1: that off? Daniel, can't you? I mean sure, I would
- 1:53Speaker 1: just recommend turning it on more often. That's what I'm
- 1:56Speaker 1: talking about. That's it's way too much bond water. Are
- 2:03Speaker 1: you high now? No, I'm not high. I'm coming down. Oh.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I know you very well. I know so yes, A
- 2:12Speaker 1: and B. I know you very well. And I know
- 2:14Speaker 1: the radius of your eyeballs when you're high, radius of
- 2:19Speaker 1: your eyeballs. You know how much how much of the
- 2:23Speaker 1: eyeball I can see under the island. I know him
- 2:27Speaker 1: so well I can be like, okay, eyelids or that low.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It was probably a joint. Forty five minutes ago, we
- 2:36Speaker 1: walked into a meeting for the podcast. Once I was
- 2:41Speaker 1: blitzed out of my mind, not realizing how the what
- 2:44Speaker 1: the meeting was for, like not what the meeting was for,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but how important the meeting was. I should say blitzed
- 2:52Speaker 1: out of my mind. Guy goes to the bathroom. Zach
- 2:54Speaker 1: turns to me and goes, dude, you ston't And I'm like, yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'm so stone. This was the very first meeting. You
- 3:01Speaker 1: were also late, I think, Yeah, No, I was. I was,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I was very I was I was pointing. I was
- 3:07Speaker 1: talking about the very first meeting of the company we
- 3:09Speaker 1: didn't go with. Yeah, I was on time. You were late,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and you know I was on time, dude. I remember
- 3:15Speaker 1: the awkward small talk I had with dude waiting for you.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You were early, dude, that's what happened. You were like
- 3:20Speaker 1: five ten minutes early. Well, you know what they say, Donald,
- 3:23Speaker 1: It's better to be a half hour early than one
- 3:25Speaker 1: minute late. That's true. Indeed, I believe that when you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: late to meet me, you're saying I don't respect you.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Oh no, I mean now because you had computer problems,
- 3:41Speaker 1: But I mean in life. I think if you're a
- 3:42Speaker 1: young person preparing to go out there into the professional world,
- 3:45Speaker 1: it's better to be a half hour early than one
- 3:47Speaker 1: minute late. Right, you're well, you're wise. Listen. I as
- 3:51Speaker 1: a black person, I feel I can never be late.
- 3:53Speaker 1: That's what my parents told me. They said, don't give
- 3:55Speaker 1: them an excuse not to hire. Well, these are the rules.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Tell that to my brother. I'd be like, we're gonna
- 4:02Speaker 1: we gotta be there at eleven o'clock. I'm like, all right,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I'll see you at eleven one thirty. Rolls around like
- 4:10Speaker 1: I'm at the gate. Can y'all let me in? Perfect Um,
- 4:17Speaker 1: it's good to see you. It's good to see to
- 4:20Speaker 1: see you all, um, we have new merch out, very
- 4:22Speaker 1: exciting Joel. Yes, for a while by the time this
- 4:27Speaker 1: comes to air, well, this is the first time we're
- 4:31Speaker 1: recording audio where the new merchants been out. And there's
- 4:33Speaker 1: for those have you been clamoring. There is finally a
- 4:36Speaker 1: Joell Monique our Queen T shirt. It's perfect, It's so beautiful.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It comes to many colors. I'm gonna get yellow. Yellow
- 4:44Speaker 1: looks nice. Okay, all right? Does it say on the
- 4:49Speaker 1: back if you know, you know or something? It should
- 4:52Speaker 1: You're only just only true fans of the podcast are
- 4:56Speaker 1: gonna know who that queen is. She and the I
- 5:00Speaker 1: have to add, this is a great way. Just read
- 5:01Speaker 1: the word of the podcast. If that's your ministry, you
- 5:04Speaker 1: know where the shirt tell people about the pod. Yes,
- 5:07Speaker 1: please Hopefully when we when it's safe to go back
- 5:10Speaker 1: to conventions we can, we'll see your shirt and then
- 5:12Speaker 1: we'll recognize you as a fan and it'll warm our hearts.
- 5:16Speaker 1: It's should start. Yes, I was about to say I
- 5:20Speaker 1: heard it's really you know, we're getting to that time
- 5:24Speaker 1: where people are like, hey, we've got a theater opening,
- 5:29Speaker 1: do you guys want to rent out this theater? Space
- 5:31Speaker 1: it's happening. Well, I look at all the musicians, everyone's
- 5:34Speaker 1: going back on tour. So I think we should start
- 5:37Speaker 1: to think about a tour. I mean, I agree, after
- 5:40Speaker 1: I'm done editing my movie in the first quarter of
- 5:43Speaker 1: the year, but like maybe the second quarter of the year,
- 5:46Speaker 1: we should go on a big ass tour spring twenty two. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm seeing all these tour announcements come out because everyone's
- 5:53Speaker 1: like so excited for touring. I would love that. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: think that would be I think that would be a
- 6:00Speaker 1: lot of fun. Actually, just you know, I don't want to.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I want to. I want I just want to make
- 6:04Speaker 1: sure that we have a giant party bus. Okay, giant
- 6:08Speaker 1: party bus. No, man, I want to sleep and stuff too. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm old, man, now, I don't you know? That'd be
- 6:13Speaker 1: fun for like the first two days and shit, but
- 6:16Speaker 1: then after that, I'm gonna want my naps and you're
- 6:18Speaker 1: bringing the bus at a hotel everyone in a while.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Are you gonna get are you're saying you're gonna get woozy? No,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get woozy. But come on, man, I
- 6:25Speaker 1: don't think anybody in on this freaking podcast right now
- 6:30Speaker 1: can sit here and say to me, you know what
- 6:32Speaker 1: I missed the days when I would get blackout drunk,
- 6:35Speaker 1: wake up and do it again the next day, and
- 6:38Speaker 1: then wake up and do it again the next day.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I missed those days. I want to go back to Matt. Listen,
- 6:44Speaker 1: we're not those people anymore. But no, that may not
- 6:47Speaker 1: be that person anymore. But I'll tell you what, if
- 6:49Speaker 1: I could go back and do that again for a month,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I would do it in a heartbeat. You I wouldn't
- 6:57Speaker 1: you want to go and do it two used to
- 7:00Speaker 1: do back in the days? Right now, they'd be you
- 7:03Speaker 1: know that the African dudes that to carry in a
- 7:05Speaker 1: casket dancing that would be let out there. Okay, okay,
- 7:12Speaker 1: now how you know how you see the giant tour
- 7:14Speaker 1: bus pulling a trailer on the back. Now that back
- 7:17Speaker 1: thing will be Daniel's bedroom, nothing all over the road.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Come on, man, No, our tour bus doesn't have to
- 7:26Speaker 1: be like we're partying, like we're like twenty years old. Donald.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It can be a mature adult tour bus. A mature
- 7:33Speaker 1: adult tour bus that has freaking groupies and roadies' not
- 7:38Speaker 1: trying to have group It's going to be like I
- 7:40Speaker 1: don't have groupies and roadies. Okay, roads maybe one. I
- 7:47Speaker 1: mean I'm the road that's what that's literally my job,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I think, Donald, I can't believe you're pooing this dream
- 7:54Speaker 1: I've had. I had this dream that we would tour
- 7:57Speaker 1: Europe in a giant tour bus and and just just
- 8:01Speaker 1: bond over the sites and try Ganda. Can it? Can
- 8:08Speaker 1: it be? But if it's a tour, can it be
- 8:10Speaker 1: like the tour and almost famous where they're on the
- 8:13Speaker 1: bus they're going No, I almost a tragic tale. But
- 8:21Speaker 1: don't you want don't you guys want a moment where
- 8:23Speaker 1: we're like all mad at each other and then blue
- 8:25Speaker 1: Jean baby. All right, Well, I imagine the tour bus
- 8:31Speaker 1: will be very expensive anyway, so we'll get rid of
- 8:33Speaker 1: the tour bus. Well there, yeah, there goes the tour.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I only wanted to go out. Oh no, I would
- 8:42Speaker 1: like to travel across Europe. Let me get it together.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The only reason I wanted to do is to live
- 8:47Speaker 1: my dream of being in a rock band and tour bus.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It's fun. We should still do it, you know, with
- 8:51Speaker 1: the bunks and it's like there's like those Star Trek
- 8:54Speaker 1: doors that open you sleep like a baby. Yeah, what
- 9:00Speaker 1: else should we talk about? There's merch that you get
- 9:02Speaker 1: that Merchant Cotton Bureau dot Com. If you're someone who
- 9:04Speaker 1: likes merch. Um By the time this episode airs, well
- 9:08Speaker 1: Black Widow have come out already. I'm sure, yeah, I
- 9:14Speaker 1: can check, but I'm pretty sure that's yeah. Black Widow
- 9:17Speaker 1: comes out July ninth, So absolutely, yeah, it'll be So
- 9:20Speaker 1: if you want to lay down the spoilers now, you
- 9:22Speaker 1: might as well go ahead. No, I'm trying to ruin
- 9:24Speaker 1: it for you three. You're gonna love it. You're gonna
- 9:28Speaker 1: love it. It's very exciting. I'm gonna look, I'll make
- 9:30Speaker 1: sure that you reserve your don't forget that. We have
- 9:32Speaker 1: a date July ninth. It really looks awesome. The commercials
- 9:36Speaker 1: look really cool. Yeah. I think if you were a
- 9:38Speaker 1: Marvel geek, you're going to go full geek explosion. Well
- 9:43Speaker 1: I'm ready to Are you ready to explase? Are you
- 9:47Speaker 1: gonna scream at the screen? No, I'm not gonna, it's
- 9:51Speaker 1: not gonna. It's not gonna be that. No, because you
- 9:53Speaker 1: remember when we went to the Star Wars premiere and
- 9:55Speaker 1: you embarrassed me in front of Sean Hayes. What did
- 9:57Speaker 1: I do? What sitting right in front of us and
- 10:01Speaker 1: so was one of the stranger things kids and you
- 10:04Speaker 1: were making all kinds of noises and everyone was turning around,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and I was like, bro, you got it, you gotta
- 10:10Speaker 1: hold it together. But I was missed off. I was upset. No, no, no, no, no.
- 10:15Speaker 1: This is the one. When you first heard the music,
- 10:17Speaker 1: you were like standing up like you were rocky hard
- 10:19Speaker 1: picture show. I thought I was sitting there like, mm, girl,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you shouldn't have done that. No, you weren't. You didn't
- 10:26Speaker 1: decide you didn't really like it until the after party
- 10:29Speaker 1: when you when you accidentally talked to the wrong Kathy
- 10:31Speaker 1: and Kennedy and spoke to her identical twin. Why did
- 10:40Speaker 1: moments like this continuously happen to me? Why did they
- 10:43Speaker 1: always happen to me? That's you know. I feel like,
- 10:45Speaker 1: if you were Kathleen Kennedy at the Star Wars premiere,
- 10:48Speaker 1: everyone's going to be coming up to you. I just
- 10:50Speaker 1: don't think the identical twins should be invited. It's no.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I think the identical twin has to stay at home.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Stay home. It's home. It's not it's not nice to
- 11:01Speaker 1: us and it's not nice to your sister either. Yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 1: you think Chewbacca is gonna show up with his twin? No? Um?
- 11:15Speaker 1: All right? Should we talk about scrub six seven? Stories
- 11:21Speaker 1: about we made about a bunch of dots nurses stories?
- 11:33Speaker 1: So yet around here, yato around here? M This was
- 11:43Speaker 1: a very funny episode. Yes, I laughed a bunch. I
- 11:47Speaker 1: laughed quite a bit. This has a lot of very
- 11:49Speaker 1: funny moments and moments that we're I'm gonna tell you
- 11:52Speaker 1: something right now, this show has officially gone off the rail. Yes,
- 11:56Speaker 1: Season five is bat shit. Officially a fishy gone off
- 12:00Speaker 1: the rails. It's glazy. There's some lines in this that
- 12:05Speaker 1: you know, where the fuck did that come from? This
- 12:10Speaker 1: is the Jiggli Ball, Yes, which is which is a
- 12:13Speaker 1: hospital wide um secret that only JD doesn't know that
- 12:18Speaker 1: they're planning on just pelting the game is pelting JD
- 12:22Speaker 1: with tennis balls. Nobody really knows what the game is
- 12:26Speaker 1: other than the janitor. Well pay like they nobody knows
- 12:33Speaker 1: how to play. Everybody just knows that the janitor wants
- 12:37Speaker 1: them when they're talking to JD to mention the game
- 12:41Speaker 1: Jiggli Ball with the orderlies, that's all they know why
- 12:45Speaker 1: did they learn to play? There is no game and
- 12:49Speaker 1: that's not the game. They just pelt you, dude. Yeah
- 12:51Speaker 1: that I'm not at anyone. Can you imagine this happening
- 12:54Speaker 1: in your life? And everyone where you work stood in
- 12:57Speaker 1: a line and pelted you as hard as they could
- 12:59Speaker 1: with his balls, so much so that you have wilts
- 13:02Speaker 1: like open sword paintball like, yeah, play paintball, yeah, but
- 13:06Speaker 1: worse because Carl is using alcohol on me on it
- 13:09Speaker 1: swabs on me like and and JD's not mad at anyone, like,
- 13:12Speaker 1: huh that was crazy, guys. Not only that he also
- 13:16Speaker 1: has a freaking he also has a coffee cup a
- 13:19Speaker 1: coffee Uh what is it? What is that? A mob pot? Yeah,
- 13:23Speaker 1: a pot around us his hand which he breaks and
- 13:27Speaker 1: now is a bracelet that he can't get off. Yes,
- 13:30Speaker 1: and you've got your arms stuck in the canning vending machine.
- 13:34Speaker 1: That didn't make any sense. A lot of it didn't
- 13:37Speaker 1: make sense. That didn't make any sense. What about the
- 13:39Speaker 1: whole balancing wheelchair thing and that JD is balancing so
- 13:44Speaker 1: hard that he but but barely keeping it up and
- 13:46Speaker 1: he does it onto the elevator down to the first floor,
- 13:50Speaker 1: down the fucking ramp down the ramp spat shit, we
- 13:56Speaker 1: are very close. I'm sensing my spidy sense is sensing
- 13:59Speaker 1: that were very close to the episode where ostriches steal
- 14:03Speaker 1: your cano and wear it might be coming. That's that's how.
- 14:08Speaker 1: That's how, Joel. Will you find out what episode that is? Yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I think it's something. I think bird is in the title.
- 14:13Speaker 1: What the fact that j D still has secrets like
- 14:16Speaker 1: him being a gymnast in high school and not wanting
- 14:20Speaker 1: that to get out. Why didn't I want out to
- 14:22Speaker 1: be a gymnast to get out? I forgot. I don't know,
- 14:24Speaker 1: but it explains a lot about it is gonna find out.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He already calls you a girl's name. Oh, by the way,
- 14:30Speaker 1: this is the episode where Sarah was a dressed as
- 14:34Speaker 1: Turk and it's been edited out. I don't know if
- 14:36Speaker 1: you noticed that. I didn't notice that. I it's funny
- 14:39Speaker 1: it happened, and it's so seamlessly edited out that I thought, oh,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I thought this was that episode, But no, it's been
- 14:46Speaker 1: edited out and restored. My big Bird five h eight
- 14:50Speaker 1: is um Yeah, that's coming up, guys. That is where
- 14:55Speaker 1: Scrubs really goes off the rails. That's the episode of
- 14:57Speaker 1: Jason Bateman where Donald and I are forced into a
- 15:01Speaker 1: tree by ostriches acting like sentries. Yes. Yes. By the way,
- 15:10Speaker 1: speaking of Bill Lawrence, I played, he taught me how
- 15:12Speaker 1: to play pickleball. Okay, so you have to explain this
- 15:15Speaker 1: to me because you were like, Yo, you're gonna love pickleball.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I know, how good lover I am. You know this
- 15:19Speaker 1: is this is a crazy first ball. Sorry, I let
- 15:21Speaker 1: you get into your store. But this's the craziest thing ever.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Zach never hits me up about sports, right ever, right ever.
- 15:30Speaker 1: It might be the occasional. It might be the occasional
- 15:33Speaker 1: you want to play some ping pong, right, this looks
- 15:36Speaker 1: like you gotta run around. There's some effort involved. It's funny.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It is like it's kind of like you're standing on
- 15:41Speaker 1: the ping pong table, okay, and you're really good at
- 15:44Speaker 1: ping pong and you love tennis and it's a lot
- 15:47Speaker 1: of fun, and everyone's talking about pickleball. It's just basically
- 15:51Speaker 1: a smaller tennis court game. If you don't know what
- 15:53Speaker 1: it is, google it. It's a lot of fun. But um,
- 15:56Speaker 1: it's kind of become this crazy seniors are playing it
- 15:59Speaker 1: because if you love tennis, um when you were younger,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and your knees can't do that anymore. It's a way
- 16:03Speaker 1: like my stepmother's in her late seventies, and she was
- 16:06Speaker 1: obsessed with it. And and of course people of all
- 16:08Speaker 1: ages are playing anyway. You know how when you go
- 16:10Speaker 1: see something and you like it a movie or whatever,
- 16:12Speaker 1: a concert, and you want to call your lover and
- 16:14Speaker 1: be like, baby, you would love this. Well, that's how
- 16:18Speaker 1: I felt. As I was playing pickleball with Bill, I
- 16:21Speaker 1: leaned over to him. I leaned over to him and said,
- 16:24Speaker 1: Donald's gonna love this. Was this while you were holding
- 16:26Speaker 1: his pickle? No, you don't. You don't hold anyone pick
- 16:30Speaker 1: in the game, at least the way he talked. We
- 16:33Speaker 1: were at a very waspy club. Maybe at other locations
- 16:35Speaker 1: you hold pickles. Is pickleball um basically picture it like
- 16:41Speaker 1: a small tennis um at the tennis court, but but
- 16:44Speaker 1: like a quarter of the size and um and uh
- 16:48Speaker 1: it's just fast and and and the rackets are smaller
- 16:51Speaker 1: and it's a whiffleball so that you can like put
- 16:53Speaker 1: crazy spin on the ball. Donald, you fucking love it
- 16:55Speaker 1: because you're a spin master. And uh, and it's it's
- 16:58Speaker 1: kind of like it's I think of it like you're
- 17:00Speaker 1: standing on the ping pong table, except obviously not that small. Okay,
- 17:05Speaker 1: just google image just if you're looking or you're listening
- 17:08Speaker 1: and you're like, what the fuck is he talking about?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Just google image it and you'll see what I'm talking about. Um,
- 17:13Speaker 1: it's a lot of fun. I played a little bit
- 17:15Speaker 1: of tennis. I'm starting to play a lot more tennis
- 17:18Speaker 1: now when you play with me, because I'm only here
- 17:20Speaker 1: for a little bit and I would love to have
- 17:21Speaker 1: some quale. I think you need to get your quality
- 17:23Speaker 1: time with me in before I leave the state. I
- 17:26Speaker 1: agree with, why don't we make that happen? Why don't you? Well,
- 17:29Speaker 1: I need you to manifest it. Bro okay, because daddy's
- 17:32Speaker 1: not here that long. Come tomorrow. Ask me. You're gonna
- 17:35Speaker 1: miss me come tomorrow. Damn it to tennis. Yeah I will,
- 17:41Speaker 1: um JD. Okay. So I'm fondling you with the newly
- 17:45Speaker 1: edited moment out and I'm feeling you up. Yes, you're nice.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Perky bees. They look like seas, but they're really bees.
- 17:55Speaker 1: They're definitely a perky be especially season season. You're all
- 18:00Speaker 1: trim and you've got pectoralis majors. You're all trim now,
- 18:05Speaker 1: you guys. This dude sends me freaking photos enough enough,
- 18:08Speaker 1: But I don't send them anymore because then the last
- 18:10Speaker 1: time we recorded, you said that it was you were
- 18:12Speaker 1: feeling that it was too homome erotic. I have like
- 18:14Speaker 1: six or seven of them. I don't know who to
- 18:15Speaker 1: send them do. I send them to my girlfriend and
- 18:17Speaker 1: I get appreciation, and who else can I send them to? You?
- 18:21Speaker 1: I can't send them to like what I'm gonna do
- 18:23Speaker 1: with them? Trying to I'm trying to get an auta
- 18:26Speaker 1: boy from you out of life. I'm just trying to
- 18:28Speaker 1: get out of boys from you at a boy. Um. Okay,
- 18:33Speaker 1: So back to the show scrubs Deadwood, we bring up
- 18:35Speaker 1: did you know cowboys used to curse? You know what,
- 18:38Speaker 1: even if you didn't watch, even if you didn't watch
- 18:41Speaker 1: the show, the reference is so j D and turk,
- 18:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like, even if you didn't
- 18:47Speaker 1: watch Deadwood and you didn't know that cowboys cursed and
- 18:50Speaker 1: everything like that, just the reference did you know cowboys?
- 18:53Speaker 1: It's so non sequitary. I mean, I don't know anything.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I imagine Deadwood was a very popular show at the time.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I've never seen Deadwood, but I know the cowboys curse. Remember,
- 19:02Speaker 1: there's a lot of cursing. And I love Timothy off On.
- 19:04Speaker 1: As you know, we made a movie together called The
- 19:07Speaker 1: Broken Hearts Club. Um, I've never seen deadwo Should I
- 19:11Speaker 1: see Dead one? Yes? It's good. I oh yeah, I
- 19:15Speaker 1: consider it. I consider it a prestige HBO or three.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I think it's three, yeah, I'll double check, but not
- 19:23Speaker 1: that many. And that was unique about it was the language,
- 19:25Speaker 1: like they didn't speak like we always think cowboys. It
- 19:28Speaker 1: was almost with Shakespearean. No, they said shit like that too,
- 19:33Speaker 1: but it was almost Shakespearean the way they talked. All right, yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 1: three seasons. It's on HBO Max right now, if the
- 19:40Speaker 1: people want to watch it. It's it was like it
- 19:43Speaker 1: was coming out around like the time of Breaking Bad
- 19:45Speaker 1: and stuff. And it was not like the glossy sort
- 19:48Speaker 1: of um Western that we were used to at the time.
- 19:51Speaker 1: If you think of like a Tombstone or something like that.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Was sort of like the last Westerns of the cinema
- 19:57Speaker 1: age until you know, recently, is there stack Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:07Speaker 1: there's a lot of well you we don't say Horhouse anymore.
- 20:10Speaker 1: We will cut. They say plate, No, we don't. We
- 20:13Speaker 1: say place where sex workers works. Volvosa. That's the that's
- 20:23Speaker 1: the appropriate way to say. I got to go to
- 20:25Speaker 1: my local Volva dealership. Yes, Daniel, it's a Volva dealership prepared.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well I'm in. I started watching Bosh because
- 20:42Speaker 1: everyone said to watch Bosh. What is that? Bosh is
- 20:45Speaker 1: like an l A neo noir detective show. Um, and
- 20:50Speaker 1: um my parents were like a lot of people are
- 20:52Speaker 1: talking about it. Um, you know, it's like you follow
- 20:55Speaker 1: a murder mystery over the course of each season, and
- 20:59Speaker 1: I like it's far okay, I was saying, we were
- 21:04Speaker 1: talking about how Jad was a gymnast in high school,
- 21:06Speaker 1: and then we kind of left it alone. But it
- 21:09Speaker 1: explains a lot about you know, your pratfalls and all
- 21:11Speaker 1: of that stuff, and how he's able to dangle so well,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and you know, you think that he would be a
- 21:17Speaker 1: bit more coordinated, though he's very goofy and clumsy. I mean,
- 21:24Speaker 1: how many in many schools. I'm sure there are not
- 21:27Speaker 1: enough boys to fill men's gym's nastics team. So maybe
- 21:31Speaker 1: he wasn't very good, but he was still on the team.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I remember we had to take gymnastics, and as part
- 21:36Speaker 1: of my gym, his head thing, and we had to
- 21:39Speaker 1: learn a floor routine. I remember thinking, this is so
- 21:42Speaker 1: Wait you had to learn a floor routine. Yeah. Yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 1: in public high school in New Jersey you had to
- 21:49Speaker 1: take gymnastics, and like they set up the whole gym
- 21:51Speaker 1: with all the different things. Wait a second. Yeah, I
- 21:56Speaker 1: didn't wear like bedazzled clothing or anything. But tell him
- 21:59Speaker 1: me there was a moment in time. But you did
- 22:01Speaker 1: a floor routine, Yes, it did. Did you do the horse? No,
- 22:06Speaker 1: but I chose no. No you did not. You did not. No,
- 22:12Speaker 1: you did not know. You did not tell me this life.
- 22:15Speaker 1: This is true. No, we must tell didn't we didn't
- 22:20Speaker 1: pick music. We didn't pick music. But but you remember,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you had to, like you had to put together a
- 22:24Speaker 1: routine that was enough points, you know, you had to
- 22:26Speaker 1: do like but I wasn't a gymnast, so it was ridiculous.
- 22:29Speaker 1: It was like three summersaults into a cart wheel, jump
- 22:32Speaker 1: leap land. It was like so it was like something
- 22:36Speaker 1: that a beginner could do, but at least showed that
- 22:39Speaker 1: you were trying. I'm so happy I did not go
- 22:43Speaker 1: to public high school in Jersey. If this is what. Yeah,
- 22:46Speaker 1: you had to do it, you had to. Did anybody
- 22:48Speaker 1: ever take it really serious? Like first there were girls
- 22:51Speaker 1: particularly who were like you know, had done gymnastics as kids,
- 22:54Speaker 1: who were who were naturally amazing, and I would try
- 22:57Speaker 1: and copy them and then get hurt. Okay, how about
- 23:04Speaker 1: that girls, what's her name, Simone Biles. Yeah, she's doing
- 23:10Speaker 1: stuff that they're like, um, this is too dangerous to
- 23:13Speaker 1: be done. She's doing it. Yeah, not since Natia when
- 23:18Speaker 1: she was standing on beams and flipping over and stuff.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I don't think they've banned a move since then. I
- 23:23Speaker 1: always so nervous when they when they're on the balance
- 23:25Speaker 1: beam doing that stuff, like they're going to break their spine.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Speaking of nervous energy, when people fall, do you and
- 23:32Speaker 1: you see it? Do you feel it anywhere in your body?
- 23:36Speaker 1: I think I hold my neck like I'm like, oh,
- 23:38Speaker 1: my spine, your spine feels so fragile at the back
- 23:40Speaker 1: of your neck. I feel it in my balls, even
- 23:44Speaker 1: if it's a woman, no matter who it is, no
- 23:46Speaker 1: matter who falls, I feel it in my balls. Like
- 23:52Speaker 1: do you laugh when people fall when it's funny? Right,
- 24:00Speaker 1: Because there's time when people fall where it's like Oh,
- 24:03Speaker 1: that looked like it really really hurt. But then they're
- 24:05Speaker 1: sounded likely to laugh at an ice skate or falling
- 24:08Speaker 1: than a than a gymist. No, not if ice skated
- 24:11Speaker 1: falls on his face. No, but I mean when I
- 24:14Speaker 1: think of Olympic gymnastics and they fall, I feel so
- 24:16Speaker 1: sad for them, but I'm more apt to giggle. When
- 24:23Speaker 1: did you ever see ice castles? Did you ever see
- 24:25Speaker 1: ice castles? No? What's ice castles? You've never seen ice castles?
- 24:28Speaker 1: Have any of you guys ever seen ice castles? No?
- 24:31Speaker 1: With the theme song, please don't let this feeling end. Yes,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you know Robbie Benson. D y'all have never seen ice Castle?
- 24:47Speaker 1: No idea Robbie been You know who Robbie Benson is though, right? Yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 1: I can picture him. You don't know who Robbie Benson is?
- 24:53Speaker 1: I can. I know who Robert Benson is. I'm older
- 24:55Speaker 1: than the Robert Benson Robbie Benson from the nineteen seventy
- 24:59Speaker 1: eight film Ice Castle. Of course, he had blue eyes.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I remember he had really blue eyes. Right. He was
- 25:04Speaker 1: also the Beast's voice. He was also the beasts he
- 25:09Speaker 1: was And because I can't picture his face, Robbie Benson. Yeah,
- 25:16Speaker 1: he was in movies. Wasn't he in Bank Shot or
- 25:20Speaker 1: something like that? He was also in most extreme Primate.
- 25:22Speaker 1: That's sick. He's the running, brave and the chosen and one.
- 25:27Speaker 1: This guy, this guy has at This dude was the
- 25:30Speaker 1: killing dude works? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, gotta you gotta
- 25:34Speaker 1: google old images to get his face. Yeah you don't
- 25:37Speaker 1: remember Robbie, y'all freaking hate here he is here. He
- 25:42Speaker 1: is shirtless with the shirt surfboard guys. Anyway. Ice Castles
- 25:46Speaker 1: it's a movie about this girl from a small, small,
- 25:49Speaker 1: small small town. She's an ice skater. She has her
- 25:54Speaker 1: chance to make it all the way to the Olympics
- 25:56Speaker 1: or some shit like that. And one night and she
- 25:59Speaker 1: forgets about everybody from her town. It's a lot like
- 26:02Speaker 1: La La Land, except one night she's out freaking ice
- 26:05Speaker 1: skating and she falls and hits her head and goes blind,
- 26:10Speaker 1: and it's her trying to figure out how to, you know,
- 26:14Speaker 1: get it all back. Please does it? Don't let this
- 26:17Speaker 1: feeling end end with her doing the big ice skating
- 26:20Speaker 1: routine blind. You already saw it. No, I'm guessing what
- 26:25Speaker 1: the most obvious answer of the plot would be. You
- 26:29Speaker 1: saw the movie. Does everyone give her a standing ovation
- 26:31Speaker 1: and someone has to like let her know that she's
- 26:34Speaker 1: done it, and everyone's happy. There's a really sad moment
- 26:38Speaker 1: that happens when she gets a standing ovation. She does,
- 26:42Speaker 1: she does? They even throw roses? Yea, And what happens?
- 26:45Speaker 1: What happens? What do you think happens? Does she die
- 26:47Speaker 1: from the rose? She falls again? And then she gets
- 26:49Speaker 1: her sight back. She falls on the roses. That's right,
- 26:52Speaker 1: She slips and falls on the roses and gets her
- 26:54Speaker 1: sight back. No die, but Robbie Betson comes out on
- 26:59Speaker 1: the on the the she dies, and then there's a
- 27:01Speaker 1: sequel where she learns how to fucking still skate while
- 27:04Speaker 1: dead as a ghost. Back to the show, to scrubbing Everybody,
- 27:31Speaker 1: Colonel Doctor is finally introduced. He is introduced. Not only
- 27:35Speaker 1: is he introduced, but we explain why we call him
- 27:38Speaker 1: Colonel Doctor. Yes, she shaves the okay sign? Is that a?
- 27:42Speaker 1: Is that a colonel Colonel Sanders thing? Did he used
- 27:44Speaker 1: to do that? I don't know, I don't remember he
- 27:47Speaker 1: does this in the show, which now I think will
- 27:49Speaker 1: like a KKK thing? White power? Isn't this white power? Now?
- 27:53Speaker 1: Joel is well, I don't know why Colonel doctors throwing
- 27:56Speaker 1: up fucking white power signs. Plus it's new. Maybe it's
- 28:04Speaker 1: upside down the white power. No, it's you can't really
- 28:08Speaker 1: do okay anymore. Hunt's out, you can do okay, you
- 28:11Speaker 1: can't do this. It's best not to do it and
- 28:15Speaker 1: just not. You know, people are trying to you are like,
- 28:19Speaker 1: it is that what it means? And it is what
- 28:20Speaker 1: it means. And I think we just got to stay
- 28:22Speaker 1: away from the okay. I mean not that I was
- 28:25Speaker 1: ever anyone throwing the okay. So I mean, have you
- 28:29Speaker 1: ever thrown an okay sign in your life? Yeah? No,
- 28:32Speaker 1: how you doing? Man? No, I'm okay. I've never done that.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Nobody sounds good to me. I never done this. Yeah,
- 28:40Speaker 1: probably beck in my softball years. But what I have
- 28:45Speaker 1: never done this in my life? Well, there you go.
- 28:47Speaker 1: How are you okay? Chucking corn? And yeah, I'm still
- 28:54Speaker 1: mad about it. I'm still mad that we've co opted
- 28:56Speaker 1: it and we can't use it. Yeah, okay, So we
- 28:59Speaker 1: should talk about something else that they co opted and
- 29:02Speaker 1: that can't be used again. Boba Fett's ship is no
- 29:06Speaker 1: longer called slave one anymore. Well, they call it now
- 29:10Speaker 1: Boba Fett starship, what name why? Because that was what
- 29:19Speaker 1: he chose it to be called Slave one. But it's
- 29:22Speaker 1: a it's a galaxy that has slaves and everything like
- 29:25Speaker 1: that in it, and his ship just so happens to
- 29:28Speaker 1: be Slave one. Robot Chicken does a great does a
- 29:31Speaker 1: great freaking sketch where Lando and Boba Fett are standing
- 29:35Speaker 1: at the doors of Cloud City and Lando goes to
- 29:38Speaker 1: great ship Boba. I'm not sure about the name though.
- 29:47Speaker 1: That's interesting. Yeah, I saw what Donald's talking about. There's
- 29:50Speaker 1: to on the toys. On the box of the toys,
- 29:52Speaker 1: they've removed the name slave one. Okay, that's interesting. All right,
- 29:57Speaker 1: We'll be right back to talk about these words. Elliot's
- 30:11Speaker 1: high pitched scream that shit was funny, especially when she
- 30:14Speaker 1: does it and you don't understand the word she says,
- 30:16Speaker 1: Carla does that. She had me rolling, Yeah, Carla translates
- 30:20Speaker 1: for her. What about when the janitor says, my TV
- 30:22Speaker 1: doesn't get the news, just the Bible channel and some
- 30:24Speaker 1: kind of Chinese boxing. Yeah, I don't even know what
- 30:28Speaker 1: that means. I think Neil came up with that on
- 30:30Speaker 1: the spot, just like you came up with I can't feel.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm not right. Yeah, what is the
- 30:38Speaker 1: what is the actual line I say? I think there
- 30:41Speaker 1: may be something wrong with it, might be signing wrong
- 30:43Speaker 1: with my spine because I'm not even doing that right
- 30:47Speaker 1: That's definitely one of my joke because I've done that
- 30:49Speaker 1: before with you, Like I'm not even telling my leg
- 30:52Speaker 1: to do this right now, and like I'm dancing. But
- 30:54Speaker 1: where did that come from? That came out of nowhere?
- 30:56Speaker 1: I don't know. It's just as zb random. Whole episode
- 31:00Speaker 1: has a bunch of random shit in um So Kelso painting.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Yeah, he has a mural. He
- 31:07Speaker 1: hides in the mural. By the way, they just threw
- 31:11Speaker 1: up the mural randomly, and we're all supposed to just
- 31:14Speaker 1: assume the mural has always been there. But we've seen
- 31:16Speaker 1: that wall a thousand times and there's no mural on it.
- 31:18Speaker 1: But in this episode there's a mural. There isn't it
- 31:20Speaker 1: there for the rest of the run. I think they
- 31:22Speaker 1: probably left it up for the season at least, but
- 31:24Speaker 1: like all of a sudden in this episode, because they
- 31:26Speaker 1: clearly came up with the joke in the writer's room,
- 31:29Speaker 1: they just decided oh, now there's an elaborately painted mural
- 31:32Speaker 1: on the side of the hospital. Um, we learned that.
- 31:36Speaker 1: We learned that Kelso was in Nam and that in
- 31:39Speaker 1: Nam they pulled out his fingernails. Yes. We also learned that, Um,
- 31:45Speaker 1: he was caught cheating and forced a diamond stud earring
- 31:50Speaker 1: into Yes, but he kept in you see it bleeding.
- 31:56Speaker 1: That's how That's how much he didn't want Edd to
- 31:58Speaker 1: know that. He's like a sleep with vulva rentals call back.
- 32:11Speaker 1: But this is how Elliott gets her job back at
- 32:13Speaker 1: the end of it all, you know, yes, because she
- 32:16Speaker 1: catches him. Now, why would Kelso go to a free clinic?
- 32:18Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like he could probably write his
- 32:20Speaker 1: own prescription for to get rid of VD. I don't know.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And doctors write their own prescriptions? I don't know they
- 32:28Speaker 1: I don't know. I think not allowed that. I don't know.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Can you look that up? Guys like, did you like
- 32:34Speaker 1: doctor and you get VD? Are you not allowed to
- 32:36Speaker 1: write yourself a prescription for VD? Begone medicine? Hey, so,
- 32:44Speaker 1: I have a I have a I have a question.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Were you laughing when Elliott said are they? Are they
- 32:51Speaker 1: trying not to laugh at the word duty? Yeah, I
- 32:53Speaker 1: was definitely laughing. I was laughing. I was laughing too.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I was literally duty is a funny word when someone
- 33:01Speaker 1: just brings it up out of nowhere. So right, I mean,
- 33:04Speaker 1: you can't just say duty these days and not expect
- 33:07Speaker 1: people to laugh. Right. It's so just a word. It's
- 33:14Speaker 1: just not fashionable to say anymore. Do you have people
- 33:21Speaker 1: in your life that use duty not as a fecal
- 33:25Speaker 1: matter term? No, not as Yeah, no, my kids use
- 33:30Speaker 1: it as a fecal matter term all the time. But no,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I'm saying, when do you have anyone in your life
- 33:35Speaker 1: who's like, like, every time I passed duty free in
- 33:37Speaker 1: the airport, and I make the same joke, either to
- 33:42Speaker 1: myself or to my girlfriend, I wish I was free. Now,
- 33:50Speaker 1: if you're listening, every time you pass duty free, I
- 33:53Speaker 1: want you to turn to your friend or significant other
- 33:55Speaker 1: and say, I wish I was duty free. Under federal law,
- 34:01Speaker 1: donald physicians in the United States are not prohibited from
- 34:03Speaker 1: self prescribing medications. State laws governing physicians, however, may vary greatly,
- 34:09Speaker 1: and some may prohibit physicians from prescribing, dispensing, or administering
- 34:12Speaker 1: certain medications to themselves or family members. Yes, it depends
- 34:16Speaker 1: on where you live. Donald. Okay, so let's talk about
- 34:18Speaker 1: the theme of this episode. The theme of this episode
- 34:20Speaker 1: really is, you know, at least a storyline is that
- 34:24Speaker 1: Kelso really doesn't care once he leaves a hospital, or
- 34:27Speaker 1: that he puts up a front like all my all,
- 34:31Speaker 1: my all, my troubles are gone once I get out
- 34:35Speaker 1: of here. Yes, I leave it all at the office.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Do you feel like you have that in your life?
- 34:41Speaker 1: Any of you, any of you can answer this question,
- 34:44Speaker 1: But do you feel like you have that in your
- 34:46Speaker 1: life now? Like when you're done with work, don't you
- 34:49Speaker 1: feel like there's still more work to be done. I
- 34:52Speaker 1: have not mastered this craft. My father has it down packed,
- 34:56Speaker 1: and he, like for a long time, has been like
- 34:58Speaker 1: you got you gotta get it, you gotta fig out
- 35:00Speaker 1: how to just leave it at the door so you
- 35:02Speaker 1: can just go on and live the rest of your life.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And I don't know how my email is dinging and
- 35:07Speaker 1: I'm worried about did everything get done? And did everyone
- 35:10Speaker 1: have a good time? And are coming in on buddy,
- 35:13Speaker 1: Like it's just I can't I don't know how Sam
- 35:16Speaker 1: can't not respond? Yeah, what about those people you send
- 35:20Speaker 1: an email? To and they don't reply to like Monday morning.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I've never been that guy. Like, when's the last time
- 35:26Speaker 1: you went on a vacation, a real vacation where you
- 35:29Speaker 1: were like, I'm not even gonna answer my phone. Nobody's
- 35:32Speaker 1: gonna hit me. I never do that. It never doesn't happen.
- 35:34Speaker 1: It doesn't happen, right, I never. I mean, even if
- 35:36Speaker 1: I'm on some beautiful beach somewhere, I have my phone
- 35:39Speaker 1: with me, I don't not reply to an email. But
- 35:42Speaker 1: that would be probably good to do my I know,
- 35:44Speaker 1: my my shrink does that. He tells me that he
- 35:46Speaker 1: he goes like for like ten days or two weeks
- 35:49Speaker 1: once a year, and he doesn't He puts his phone
- 35:53Speaker 1: in the hotel safe and his wife has a phone
- 35:57Speaker 1: in case, you know, the emergency, she can be reached,
- 35:59Speaker 1: and he doesn't look at his phone for like that long.
- 36:02Speaker 1: That's I can't imagine doing that. It sounds really nice,
- 36:05Speaker 1: I aspire. I think it would make me anxious, right,
- 36:11Speaker 1: But then Kelso can come to work the next day
- 36:14Speaker 1: and then go through everything he goes through, and then
- 36:16Speaker 1: once again turn it off once he leaves. Well, I
- 36:19Speaker 1: think also he's talking about the decisions that this man
- 36:23Speaker 1: has to make. They're trying to human Bill I think
- 36:25Speaker 1: is obviously trying to humanize Kelso a bit here and say,
- 36:28Speaker 1: the decisions that he has to make are so enormous,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and he has to look at the greater good. So
- 36:36Speaker 1: the fact that he has to kiss the ass of
- 36:39Speaker 1: this potential financial donor who could if that person is happy,
- 36:45Speaker 1: then give money to reopen the Neo natal unit. He
- 36:48Speaker 1: has to make these giant life and death decisions and
- 36:55Speaker 1: and and in a way he can't. He couldn't function
- 36:58Speaker 1: if he didn't find some coping mechan in some way
- 37:00Speaker 1: to leave it all on the front steps. But we
- 37:05Speaker 1: see in the end that that's not true. He's still right,
- 37:08Speaker 1: he is human. I think this is you know, this
- 37:11Speaker 1: is a beautiful episode for kenn He was incredible, but
- 37:14Speaker 1: I mean, really see that he's he's putting on a
- 37:18Speaker 1: facade that we the younger doctors might see him as heartless,
- 37:23Speaker 1: but he's actually putting on a front. It was actually
- 37:28Speaker 1: a really good episode. Like you know, I was dreading
- 37:32Speaker 1: when we got to this point in the show when
- 37:35Speaker 1: the show started to get wacky and and silly, because
- 37:39Speaker 1: our jokes were genuine before this like they were genuine
- 37:44Speaker 1: jokes that we earned, and now we're just making slapstick.
- 37:47Speaker 1: We're being you know, we're being really goofy. And I
- 37:50Speaker 1: was worried that I wasn't going to like the show
- 37:52Speaker 1: when we got here. But I'm laughing really, really hard.
- 37:55Speaker 1: And somehow there's still moments in the show that you say,
- 38:00Speaker 1: oh shit, that's right, this is scrubs. Do you think
- 38:04Speaker 1: do you so far? Do you think? I mean, I
- 38:05Speaker 1: look at season five and noticing a turn. I mean,
- 38:08Speaker 1: Billy Will even say he had to find a way
- 38:11Speaker 1: to make it new and interesting for himself. But I
- 38:15Speaker 1: noticed that it's taken a sillier turn. But I am
- 38:18Speaker 1: still really enjoying this season. Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 38:21Speaker 1: That's what I mean. I'm still laughing so hard. You know,
- 38:24Speaker 1: I was afraid that I wouldn't be. I was afraid
- 38:26Speaker 1: that I was going to be like, oh man, this
- 38:28Speaker 1: is come on, man. We look at us just not
- 38:30Speaker 1: really and we're not phoning it in, but we're like, so,
- 38:35Speaker 1: I don't know I'm phoning in. If we were phoning
- 38:37Speaker 1: it in, I think then that would be a reason
- 38:39Speaker 1: to be like, oh this has jumped the shark. What
- 38:42Speaker 1: it is is just it's it's a it's a tone
- 38:44Speaker 1: shift a bit so far. But everybody is so gun
- 38:48Speaker 1: hole with this, Yeah, because we're all excited and we're
- 38:50Speaker 1: all clearly finding it funny. I mean, what about chest hands, right, Okay,
- 38:53Speaker 1: we go to a fantasy where I've had Elliott's hands
- 38:56Speaker 1: put on my chest. Yes, she's got stubs yeah yeah, wrists, yes,
- 39:03Speaker 1: and she can't enjoy the popcorn, so I have to
- 39:05Speaker 1: feed her, yes, with my chest hands. Yes. What about
- 39:09Speaker 1: the pool, the four pool joke? What is it with
- 39:13Speaker 1: something the hotties at the pool. There ain't no women
- 39:15Speaker 1: at the pool. There's always women at the pool, and
- 39:17Speaker 1: not the ymc A pool on Sundays. There you go,
- 39:21Speaker 1: you can go there. You ever been to the ymc
- 39:23Speaker 1: A pool on man night? Is like? What the hell? Dude, Well,
- 39:29Speaker 1: I have no idea. It's just a I guess it's
- 39:31Speaker 1: a gay night at the y m C A joke. No, yes,
- 39:34Speaker 1: that is. It is a gay joke. Yes, but it's
- 39:36Speaker 1: like it comes out of nowhere, out of nowhere, none
- 39:39Speaker 1: of these jokes. Yeah, a lot of it's out of nowhere.
- 39:41Speaker 1: What about when I say I would never swim in
- 39:43Speaker 1: a pond, the infamous foot serpents, come on, what do
- 39:48Speaker 1: we do? What are we doing? And I'm sitting here
- 39:53Speaker 1: laughing my ass off. It's funny. Who cares exactly? Well,
- 39:57Speaker 1: exactly I under from the for the fans, From the
- 40:02Speaker 1: for the fans point of view, I wonder if they
- 40:04Speaker 1: could tell the tonal shift. I'm sure they can, of course,
- 40:07Speaker 1: But I mean think about it. What shows that you
- 40:08Speaker 1: watch that aren't one that you started and you go, oh, yeah,
- 40:12Speaker 1: this season is a little different. Um, I'm sensingly shifted
- 40:15Speaker 1: a little bit, but I'm still enjoying it, you know,
- 40:17Speaker 1: right us with Mandalorian, your favorite show, I think like, well,
- 40:21Speaker 1: I was definitely definitely changed tones for me a bit.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I was still enjoying it, but it wasn't exactly the
- 40:27Speaker 1: same show in my opinion. That's what I was gonna say.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I was gonna say. It really does. Usually when shows
- 40:33Speaker 1: shift tonally, the show has jumped the shark or is
- 40:37Speaker 1: it's over. I feel like we still have ton of
- 40:40Speaker 1: story to tell. It's just going to be a new
- 40:41Speaker 1: way of us telling it. We were talking about Dave
- 40:45Speaker 1: the show before you came on the air, and which
- 40:47Speaker 1: I think is fucking amazing, but definitely there's a slight
- 40:51Speaker 1: shift this year's this season so far, it's even darker
- 40:54Speaker 1: and weirder. But I'm still enjoying the hell out of it. Right.
- 40:58Speaker 1: My point is, I feel like it's rare that it's
- 41:00Speaker 1: like that. And I was so worried that when we
- 41:02Speaker 1: got here, I was gonna be like, maybe this isn't
- 41:04Speaker 1: the show that I thought it was, But it still is.
- 41:06Speaker 1: It's funny. We still you know, it might be cartoony,
- 41:09Speaker 1: but it's so funny and maybe it makes me laugh.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I think we were all having a blast. I mean,
- 41:14Speaker 1: I think that's why it shows. We were just we
- 41:16Speaker 1: were having a lot of fun. Yeah, but even my
- 41:19Speaker 1: wife is still laughing. My wife says, she like, what
- 41:22Speaker 1: the hell is going on here? But she's laughing so hard,
- 41:24Speaker 1: you know, because it's and she's the and she's and
- 41:27Speaker 1: she's my you know, what is it my meter barometer?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Thank you, she's my barometer on what's funny and what's
- 41:33Speaker 1: not funny Because if she laughs, I know there has
- 41:35Speaker 1: to be some funniness to it. And she's cracking up. Yeah,
- 41:40Speaker 1: they're intimate is for serpents? There? SUPs? What about that? Um?
- 41:45Speaker 1: What about the doctor who says, uh, I'm gonna have
- 41:49Speaker 1: to numb you. No no, no, no, no, no, no
- 41:53Speaker 1: no no numb. That was enough. That was a joke
- 41:58Speaker 1: before where Okay, so it was I gotta I got
- 42:02Speaker 1: a case of doctor please, I got a case of
- 42:04Speaker 1: the gotta see hims. Remember that one where Elliotts showing
- 42:07Speaker 1: everybody her boobs in the hospital. Yeah, yeah, that's early on, right,
- 42:11Speaker 1: So I got a case of the gotta see him.
- 42:12Speaker 1: One of the other jokes, one of the alternates, was
- 42:14Speaker 1: I got a case of the numb numbs and she
- 42:16Speaker 1: goes the numb numbs, he goes, yes, no, no. What
- 42:28Speaker 1: about when the janitor goes, I'm busy cleaning and then
- 42:30Speaker 1: everyone just starts laughing. But I can't decide if he's
- 42:35Speaker 1: meant to be a good janitor, because I think he's
- 42:39Speaker 1: he's definitely a leader. He's definitely definitely a leader if
- 42:43Speaker 1: he can get all these people together for Jigglie ball. No,
- 42:48Speaker 1: he's well connected, obviously, but he makes so many jokes
- 42:53Speaker 1: about all the work he doesn't do. But he seems
- 42:56Speaker 1: to always be working. Yeah, but then he has a
- 42:58Speaker 1: lot of side projects. Yeah, and the squirrel Army but
- 43:06Speaker 1: that was season two. Yeah, but I'm sure he still
- 43:09Speaker 1: hasn't maintains his Squirrel Army or does he sell it?
- 43:11Speaker 1: I think he mentioned selling it for something for I
- 43:14Speaker 1: don't know. I don't want to be wrong. Let's ask Trevor.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Can we ask Trevor? Sure he does so that's an
- 43:19Speaker 1: apps that we already covered. He does sell. He sells
- 43:22Speaker 1: the Squirrel Army too, Elliott by Stephen. I thought it
- 43:30Speaker 1: was for Elliott. I'll look it up if here somewhere
- 43:33Speaker 1: all that I think it was to buy Stephen. No,
- 43:37Speaker 1: he owed, Is that what it was? Because he owed?
- 43:41Speaker 1: He owed, uh, Carla a favor or something like that,
- 43:47Speaker 1: because he was scared. I don't know, I don't remember.
- 43:49Speaker 1: It's crazy how we were going over this show and
- 43:52Speaker 1: already we're forgetting what we went over. Well we don't.
- 43:55Speaker 1: We don't have the greatest memories of you and I
- 43:57Speaker 1: put together. You know you're right, Zack. The Squirrel Army
- 44:01Speaker 1: is subsequently traded over the internet for Steven, the replacement
- 44:04Speaker 1: for Rowdy. There you go, one of those smokes a
- 44:07Speaker 1: lot of weed and one doesn't you know, Zach, when
- 44:14Speaker 1: we put our heads together, we really come up with nothing.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yep on equal zero. All right, should we go to
- 44:20Speaker 1: break and then we'll have a guest. Right, we'll be
- 44:23Speaker 1: right back. Oh sorry, Donald, Sorry, Donald, Oh boy, down,
- 44:34Speaker 1: I'm just sitting down. It's just Zack's abs. Everybody, did
- 44:40Speaker 1: did you shift? Did you shift? I didn't shift? I
- 44:44Speaker 1: got into one. Damn. What you're trying to do. I'm
- 44:50Speaker 1: trying to get into those ab crevises with Dick. Oh
- 44:55Speaker 1: my god, Oh my god. Like it. And we're back,
- 45:01Speaker 1: coming straight to the tomb in there. That was good.
- 45:08Speaker 1: All right, we have a caller. Let's bring them in.
- 45:10Speaker 1: My friend Daniel got all you can talk somehow, dudes,
- 45:17Speaker 1: you know, like a botta spoke maybe talking about the episode.
- 45:23Speaker 1: So come on, Joe, let's get the show. Lady, the
- 45:29Speaker 1: gentlemen give it up for Ryan. Hi, I keep it
- 45:44Speaker 1: g rated today Ryan for you. You got your kiddos
- 45:47Speaker 1: with you for a little while. Hi, guys, how are
- 45:51Speaker 1: you welcome to the program? Would um? And what's your wife?
- 45:56Speaker 1: Is that your wife's name? I'm assuming Ryan and Lynn
- 46:01Speaker 1: have two adorable children on their laps, so Donald will
- 46:04Speaker 1: not say anything inappropriate. Really going to town on these pretzels.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Where are you guys? Where are you guys calling us
- 46:13Speaker 1: from the most beautiful place? I mean, it's really where
- 46:22Speaker 1: God invented, It's really where God wanted us to live. Yeah, definitely.
- 46:27Speaker 1: You know it's the perfect temperature always, it's the most
- 46:30Speaker 1: beautiful place. Oh, I was representing as well too. Nice.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I like that star wars in the house. Why do
- 46:40Speaker 1: I keep saying in the on it? Now? I know why?
- 46:44Speaker 1: I have an idea why you might be doing that.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Do you want to know? Yeah? Yeah, you st you're
- 46:54Speaker 1: stuck on it, like it's like of this particular episode,
- 46:57Speaker 1: it's become you're what you're talking about, willis? What did
- 46:59Speaker 1: talk about? Well? List a Dale show? Okay, Ryan, welcome
- 47:04Speaker 1: to the program. Do you have a question for us? Yeah?
- 47:06Speaker 1: I was gonna start. Was showing you guys a picture
- 47:09Speaker 1: a little bit first, there's my profile. Okay, in a
- 47:16Speaker 1: little bit it looks like tall doctor, but it's tall graduate. Yes,
- 47:21Speaker 1: it is indeed a little bit of my background. I
- 47:25Speaker 1: am a physical therapist but as of this year, stay
- 47:28Speaker 1: home dad. Yeah, for all these reasons. And that picture
- 47:33Speaker 1: was about a week or so before my pet School
- 47:36Speaker 1: of graduation when we got our accounts, and that was
- 47:39Speaker 1: with one of my best friends from pat school, Albert
- 47:42Speaker 1: h He and I were big fans of the show,
- 47:44Speaker 1: and we looked at each other and said, Roland's most
- 47:47Speaker 1: giant doctor of physical therapy. Nice fan. I appreciate the
- 47:53Speaker 1: shout out and um, and you're clearly a Star Wars fan,
- 47:57Speaker 1: which Donald Will and Joel will appreciate. Yeah, biggest fans
- 48:00Speaker 1: of you guys. But yes, yes, you can't stump them.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Do you know what the name of Bubba Fed's ship
- 48:05Speaker 1: that was just changed because of the of the name
- 48:08Speaker 1: of the ship, It was just changed to something else
- 48:11Speaker 1: I do. It was slave one. That's the level of
- 48:16Speaker 1: knowledge I have. Yeah. Um, all right, Ryan Goo ahead,
- 48:20Speaker 1: do you have a question for us? You just make
- 48:22Speaker 1: me angry sometimes. I know, I love you, just hold
- 48:26Speaker 1: it in. Yeah. My question, uh kind of ties into
- 48:31Speaker 1: my career story as well to a little bit um.
- 48:34Speaker 1: But you know, of course, of the pandemic that has
- 48:37Speaker 1: been a career shift for me. But I've also had
- 48:40Speaker 1: another career shift and actually going into physical therapy. You know,
- 48:45Speaker 1: I always knew I wanted to go into medicine and
- 48:47Speaker 1: be a healthcare provider, but my wife was the one
- 48:50Speaker 1: who kind of directed me towards physical therapy. We started
- 48:54Speaker 1: dating when she has a second year medical student and
- 48:56Speaker 1: I was starting to go into medical school. But I
- 49:00Speaker 1: just saw the rigor and you know how much she
- 49:02Speaker 1: had studying for her board exams, and you know, I
- 49:06Speaker 1: kind of thought, I don't know if I wanted that
- 49:08Speaker 1: kind of lifestyle. And so she had worked amongst physical
- 49:13Speaker 1: therapists in the hospital while she was rotating, and yeah,
- 49:16Speaker 1: she kind of steered me that direction. And you know,
- 49:18Speaker 1: I haven't looked back since, and having regretted my decision,
- 49:21Speaker 1: you know, I'm still in the healthcare field, got my doctorate,
- 49:25Speaker 1: of course still, So I was just wondering for you guys,
- 49:28Speaker 1: was there any moment your guys' careers or like a
- 49:31Speaker 1: role or anything that calls you guys to kind of
- 49:33Speaker 1: like shift or change career path a little bit. No,
- 49:39Speaker 1: you know, I I always knew I wanted to be
- 49:43Speaker 1: an actor. Since I was five. I had been saying,
- 49:46Speaker 1: you know, I'm going to be an actor when I
- 49:48Speaker 1: get older. That was one thing that all my when
- 49:51Speaker 1: my friends were like, I don't know what I want
- 49:53Speaker 1: to do, I was very clear on it, and I
- 49:56Speaker 1: had already started making moves to make that dream come true.
- 49:59Speaker 1: At a very young age. You know, I talk about
- 50:02Speaker 1: stop motion a lot on this podcast, and you know,
- 50:07Speaker 1: I like to think that would have been my career
- 50:10Speaker 1: path if I had not animation would have been my
- 50:13Speaker 1: career path if I had not chosen to be an actor.
- 50:15Speaker 1: But there's never been a moment where I was like,
- 50:17Speaker 1: you know what, I'm just going to shift careers and
- 50:20Speaker 1: change what I do or what I want to do,
- 50:23Speaker 1: because it's always been acting. Yeah me too, man, I
- 50:27Speaker 1: can't say that I know that's been a Choosing careers
- 50:30Speaker 1: can be really stressful and confusing for a lot of people.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I guess I've been always blessed that the second I
- 50:36Speaker 1: knew it was a job I've said on here, the
- 50:38Speaker 1: second I saw my dad doing a community theater for fun,
- 50:41Speaker 1: and he was a trial attorney, but his hobby was
- 50:44Speaker 1: doing the local plays. And I was like eight years old,
- 50:46Speaker 1: and I remember thinking like, wait a second, hold on,
- 50:48Speaker 1: this is a job, like you can do this, this
- 50:51Speaker 1: could be something that you're allowed to do and you
- 50:52Speaker 1: make money doing this. I never, I never, I never
- 50:55Speaker 1: looked back. I knew that I would somehow be involved
- 50:58Speaker 1: in trying attempting to entertain people really well with it.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Thank you so much. I've liked physical therapist. It feels nice.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Oh god, it does right when they get into that
- 51:10Speaker 1: spot I had. I had a rotator cuff injury from sky.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I have a rotator cuff injury right now. Dude, baby,
- 51:17Speaker 1: you should you listen. You gotta take a thea gun
- 51:19Speaker 1: and put it on there. My therapist is the one
- 51:21Speaker 1: who introduced me to the there a gun. I didn't
- 51:24Speaker 1: know if they're a sponsor on here anymore or they
- 51:26Speaker 1: used to be, but they that's that's a great product,
- 51:29Speaker 1: and it felt so nice when he did it. Let
- 51:32Speaker 1: me ask you a question. Yeah, could you could just
- 51:34Speaker 1: go on like this hurts? I feel it, but I
- 51:37Speaker 1: but the doctor told me eventually he's like, I did everything.
- 51:40Speaker 1: I did everything you can do. PRP is that with
- 51:42Speaker 1: something Ryan, I did everything you can do. And he
- 51:45Speaker 1: said the only thing left to do is surgery. And
- 51:47Speaker 1: he goes, you don't want to have shoulder surgery. It's
- 51:48Speaker 1: the fucking nightmare. So I just live with it. Yeah,
- 51:52Speaker 1: surgery is one of those things that they sometimes don't
- 51:54Speaker 1: get it right. Huh No, it's just that well Ryan
- 51:57Speaker 1: can answer that. I do. But he said, you're at
- 51:58Speaker 1: least six months in a sling, and I was like,
- 52:00Speaker 1: I'm good, Yeah, yeah, you want Rotator Custer, especially if
- 52:05Speaker 1: you're active, and yeah he said, he said, you know
- 52:08Speaker 1: you have to peel. You have to peel the muscle
- 52:10Speaker 1: back to fix it and then put it back. And
- 52:12Speaker 1: he's like, this is if you can operate with it,
- 52:14Speaker 1: and you're just He's like, just don't do that. So
- 52:17Speaker 1: I don't raise my hand anymore. So basically, yeah, if
- 52:22Speaker 1: I have a question, I go left you all right, Ryan,
- 52:28Speaker 1: you got another question for us? I do, And this
- 52:30Speaker 1: one actually is directly related to an episode of Scrubs.
- 52:34Speaker 1: The episode was in season eight, which I know is
- 52:36Speaker 1: a little bit further along, or you guys are the
- 52:39Speaker 1: episode was my Cousin. You guys recall that episode or not? Um,
- 52:44Speaker 1: but that one involved the leader cousin pledge your cousin. Yes, yes,
- 52:50Speaker 1: that had to be one of the funniest episodes of
- 52:52Speaker 1: TV I've ever watched any show. Thank you? Yeah, of course.
- 52:56Speaker 1: And do you have weener cousins in your life? I
- 52:58Speaker 1: would about to say, do you have a winner cut?
- 53:00Speaker 1: I hope there's just leading to you having a ween
- 53:01Speaker 1: your cousin. I hope this, I truly hope this means
- 53:04Speaker 1: that you have locked you have docked, Yes, no, no cousin. Yeah, ween,
- 53:09Speaker 1: your cousin is not docking. Donald, It means that you
- 53:11Speaker 1: have no you recall. It means that you have occupied
- 53:18Speaker 1: the same vulvo. Yeah, not at the same time, but no, no,
- 53:25Speaker 1: at different times, at different times certified. Yes. So, um, Ryan,
- 53:32Speaker 1: is this leading to you having a share of Volvo
- 53:36Speaker 1: Volvo with a friend's story because we love those? No,
- 53:40Speaker 1: not um, But I was just dying with laughter when
- 53:45Speaker 1: they were showing all the background players, especially Colonel Doctor
- 53:48Speaker 1: and shoop dog resident. Yeah. Uh. They were enacting the
- 53:54Speaker 1: you know wow or plag the shape right uh. And
- 53:58Speaker 1: what got me was just the last scene when it
- 54:01Speaker 1: was Kelso and the janitor enacting the weener because I
- 54:05Speaker 1: don't even remember. We haven't gotten that far, yea. Donald
- 54:08Speaker 1: and I are not weener cousins. Okay, No, I don't
- 54:11Speaker 1: think we don't and I don't know that we will
- 54:13Speaker 1: ever be weener cousins. Well now I can say that
- 54:16Speaker 1: we won't be, but well, you never know. You might
- 54:19Speaker 1: you might have been weener cousins have not known it.
- 54:21Speaker 1: You might jump back into my past and get with
- 54:24Speaker 1: some of the young hotties that I grew up with,
- 54:29Speaker 1: or I don't know. I don't think that's in my future,
- 54:32Speaker 1: but I don't think it is. It's pretty hard to
- 54:35Speaker 1: be you know. I you know, I think good friends
- 54:38Speaker 1: have a rule saying that obviously things happen accidentally. You
- 54:43Speaker 1: didn't know that you that you that you had you
- 54:47Speaker 1: had vacated that particular vulva ulva. Well, I was just
- 54:54Speaker 1: wanted to find out who you guys thought was there.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Kelso and the Janitors share, Oh, that's a good credit,
- 55:02Speaker 1: and I who would Kelso and Janitor have both been
- 55:04Speaker 1: with Laverne? Yeah that, Oh god, gotta be Laverne at
- 55:11Speaker 1: the pool party, at the above ground pool party. Oh,
- 55:17Speaker 1: because we never know what goes down at those above
- 55:19Speaker 1: ground pool parties, and we assume that it's definitely sexual
- 55:23Speaker 1: and um that there's drugs involved. That's hilarious. A bunch
- 55:30Speaker 1: of doctors high on drugs. Fucking you can't beat that
- 55:33Speaker 1: with a baseball. Yeah, I would love that. That would
- 55:35Speaker 1: be a great everyone's like make a Scrubs movie. I
- 55:37Speaker 1: would make the above Ground I would make the LaVerne's
- 55:40Speaker 1: above ground pool Party movie. The movie is basically a
- 55:43Speaker 1: comedy for the first forty five minutes, and it's just
- 55:45Speaker 1: straight porn for the last twenty five minutes. I don't
- 55:49Speaker 1: know if Alma writes going to be down with that?
- 55:51Speaker 1: Do you want to make the call, because as you
- 55:56Speaker 1: would call, she is a church going woman. I don't
- 55:58Speaker 1: think she's gonna be down for part two. What if
- 56:02Speaker 1: you're like Alma, you're only in part one. By the way,
- 56:11Speaker 1: if we did make a Scrubs movie, it would be
- 56:13Speaker 1: a great sort of spine, if you will to for
- 56:17Speaker 1: the film. The structure to make it all cutting in
- 56:21Speaker 1: and out of one insane day at LaVerne's above the
- 56:26Speaker 1: pool party, like it splinters off from but it all
- 56:30Speaker 1: takes place at the pool party, and it comes off
- 56:34Speaker 1: to all the mayhem that happened, kind of like that
- 56:36Speaker 1: movie you Love with Rogan and Francomain about the End
- 56:39Speaker 1: of the World. I love that movie. All right, it's
- 56:42Speaker 1: time for San Diego's favorite segment. Everyone, it's time to
- 56:46Speaker 1: fix your all right, Ryan, you seem like you've got
- 56:53Speaker 1: a great life. You live in San Diego. For goodness sakes,
- 56:56Speaker 1: everyone would love to live in San Diego. You live
- 56:58Speaker 1: in La Joya. No, okay, we'll move to Lajoya because
- 57:01Speaker 1: that's where neighborhood in San Diego. Where are you living
- 57:03Speaker 1: in San Diego? Del Sero? Okay, I didn't go to
- 57:07Speaker 1: the Old Globe, the Old Globe theater. I've walked fast
- 57:10Speaker 1: it any times. All right, Well, Donald wants you to
- 57:13Speaker 1: go see a play there because he wants to play.
- 57:14Speaker 1: They do a lot of Shakespeare there, not just Shakespeare.
- 57:17Speaker 1: They do regular non Shakespeare plays as well. Donald, I
- 57:20Speaker 1: believe like yours Steve Martin wrote it. Yeah, very nice.
- 57:24Speaker 1: You didn't go see it, no, but it is a
- 57:26Speaker 1: laya playhouse as well. Great place to see theater and
- 57:29Speaker 1: a great place to go to the beach, and it's
- 57:31Speaker 1: a beautiful place. I feel like we're doing an ad
- 57:33Speaker 1: for San Diego. How can we help you? Rhyme. We
- 57:35Speaker 1: want to fix your life even though your life seems
- 57:37Speaker 1: to be amazing. Beautiful wife, two children, you got a
- 57:39Speaker 1: smile on your face. You can't possibly need anything fixed.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. I was actually contemplating this section
- 57:48Speaker 1: for a while and original I wanted to ask me
- 57:50Speaker 1: about kids, but I think we had that cover. But
- 57:53Speaker 1: you know, since I had the chance to talk with
- 57:55Speaker 1: you guys as artists. I was thinking, you know, what
- 58:00Speaker 1: does it take to start a podcast? I've thought of
- 58:05Speaker 1: some ideal one, you know, during my time at home,
- 58:08Speaker 1: and I was just curious on your guys thoughts on that. Well,
- 58:11Speaker 1: you you got the hardest part down. You came up
- 58:16Speaker 1: with an idea for a podcast. That's the hardest thing
- 58:19Speaker 1: to do. Um. It's easy to say I want to
- 58:21Speaker 1: start a podcast, but then it's like, well what am
- 58:23Speaker 1: I going to make the podcast about. You seem to
- 58:25Speaker 1: say you just said you thought up the idea during
- 58:28Speaker 1: your your quarantine. It's it's you know, we got very lucky.
- 58:35Speaker 1: We have Daniel and Joel and they handle a lot
- 58:37Speaker 1: of the business for us. I'm not business, a lot
- 58:40Speaker 1: of the uh michigas, thank you for us. But you know,
- 58:47Speaker 1: to start up a podcast, one you need an idea
- 58:50Speaker 1: and two you need people that want to listen to it,
- 58:52Speaker 1: and you need to find a platform to use to
- 58:56Speaker 1: deliver it to people. I mean, that's really all I
- 58:58Speaker 1: can say. We got lucky. Somebody said to us, we
- 59:01Speaker 1: really want to do a podcast with you guys, and
- 59:03Speaker 1: we were like, we really want to do a podcast
- 59:05Speaker 1: with you, And that's how I heeart happened. It doesn't
- 59:08Speaker 1: happen like that for everybody. So, you know, I think
- 59:11Speaker 1: that if you have a good idea and it's something
- 59:13Speaker 1: you're passionate, but first of all, it should be something
- 59:14Speaker 1: you're super interested in. Donald and I are super interested
- 59:16Speaker 1: in being silly and laughing with each other. We're very
- 59:19Speaker 1: lucky that we have going through the show to help
- 59:21Speaker 1: us because it kind of gives us a framework of
- 59:25Speaker 1: things to talk about, but also we could just sit
- 59:27Speaker 1: here and giggle with these two characters all day long.
- 59:30Speaker 1: It's something we really enjoy. So I think your audience,
- 59:34Speaker 1: and you know, you have to talk about something that
- 59:37Speaker 1: you're that there will be an audience that will be
- 59:39Speaker 1: just as interested in the subject matter as you are,
- 59:41Speaker 1: and something you look forward to doing because it's this
- 59:44Speaker 1: isn't it's not zero amount of work. You know, it
- 59:46Speaker 1: does take some work to put it out, and of
- 59:50Speaker 1: course Joel and Dan will do a lot of work
- 59:53Speaker 1: behind the scenes to make it all sound good. But
- 59:57Speaker 1: that's my advice is that if you're going to do
- 59:59Speaker 1: it and take it on, to have it be something
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: that you're just could talk endlessly about, and also to
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: surround yourself with good people who are great conversation less because,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: as we've said a few times, Donald and I love
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: to chat and be silly. But we pulled Joel and
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Daniel onto the show and pulled them from behind the
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: scenes to in front of the scenes because we find
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: them so genuinely interesting and and good people to chat with.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: What you're trying to get it? Wait, hold on, that's
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: not the one I meant. I can't find you. Honor me, Daniel,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you honor Mary? You will you honor me? Don't gonna
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: get you some stickers and we can put the little
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: stickers on it. Right. Well, you're supposed to come fix
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: the pad. You're supposed to update the pad. You're supposed
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: to put labels on the pad. And now I have
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to Yes, you think I've got a brother pe touch
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Daniel bring You know when people tweet shit, they're like
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: they put the clap sign after Daniel, bring over your
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: P touch. You should do it all at the same time. Okay,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: let me try that, bring over your P touch. Okay, Okay. Now,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: when your podcast becomes a global hit like ours, Ryan,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you're gonna need a sound pad and you're gonna be
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: an engineer who refuses to update it. Okay, that's part
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: of the sound pad. Make sure Ryan that you've got
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: an engineer who gets you a sound pad that takes
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: a computer programmer to operate because it's so complicated. In
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: honor of Daniel not updating the sound pad, I'm just
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: gonna hit a random button and see what comes up.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: You're welcome. This is my new favorite. We got point
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Dexter run the violin, and Louis said from litt alone, Mela,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: we have something something on the guitar and the little
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: old me jamal m all right, Ryan, you're welcome. You're welcome.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Good luck with your podcast. Thank you, and I hope
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: to enjoyed. San Diego man an engineer who can give
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: you a sound pad? That what is donald? We're doing
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: a show here? What's going on? I got I got
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: a kid in here? What's up on? Yes? Go? What
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: did he ask for? Jesus, Jesus, Jesus right now, yo,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: this kid is right now. This kid's getting good at basketball, man,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: like for real, for real life. I believe it. He's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: starting to shake him bake, he's starting to shoot. It
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: looks like he knows how to shoot now you know
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: what I mean, Like it's starting to happen. I'm watching
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: him play with his friends and go buy his friends
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: and shoot floaters, and he's watching basketball games with me.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: He's staying up late to watch the basketball games. Like
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: my dreams are coming. They are coming. With this dog
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: up by being too like a grow dad about it.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I'm not, dude. He's the one that freaking gets me
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: to the point He's like that, can we go play
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: basketball again? I'm like, oh my god, I just played
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: basketball with you five minutes ago. I'm done playing basketball.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: But okay, let's go. You know what I mean. Yeah,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: it's a lot of telling you one thing. Don't get
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: too into it or he will not want to play. Okay,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: all right, Ryan, you gotta go. Thank you for coming.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Thank you, thank you. I'm gonna
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: be honest with you, guys. I think we did it.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: We did do it. Oh yeah, all right, Well, thank
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you to Ryan, and thank you all to listening. Hey,

- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I know. I said it's in my head. I was like,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: oh great, that's so helpful that you said it in
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: your head. I see, I said the same thing, Oh
