  So we came down last night because going to wake up the

  this morning and Saint Louis be like 1822° and Wendy and so,

  well, let's come down to Atlanta last night, Saturday night.

  Man, what a deal for John Scotone last night.

  He comes into downtown Saint Louis airport and he's getting

  ready to land to pick me up. And they said, I'm going to

  preface it. I'm going to kind of tell you in

  my, my way. They said, hey, John, can you

  circle around and look for an airplane that we've lost?

  What? Sure enough, John circles

  around, finds an airplane that had landed next to the Alton, IL

  Alton Lock and Dam. Oh, yeah.

  You know, they build those, They build those dikes next to the

  the Alton Lock and Dam. They build the dike up like

  this. Well, up on top.

  It's pretty big up there. There's a road up there.

  That airplane, small airplane landed on top there.

  Sure enough, John found it and reported right back to the

  tower. And but thank God it was safe.

  I guess he had an emergency landing.

  So we was an hour late getting down here to Atlanta.

  OK, the biggest topic yet was yesterday, the truck race.

  So man, we're lucky. They called for rain all day

  Friday, all day Saturday in Atlanta, and they were way wrong

  on Friday, Friday, I think the rain went South or something

  like that. And it was a beautiful day and

  they got all the practice, all the qualifying in, and so they

  get the Saturday and it's raining all morning long.

  It's a good rain and it don't look good.

  Well, clears up out of nowhere, clears up and NASCAR goes OK for

  us to get these races in. We're on two different networks
• 3:37
  we're on. We're on Fox TV for the truck
• 3:42
  race and we're on The CW network for the O'Reilly Auto Parts

  race. So NASCAR deals with the
• 3:51
  networks. There's behind the scenes going
• 3:54
  on it. Listen, respectfully, it's not
• 3:57
  all about us, everybody, It's about everybody.

  It's about everybody in America all the way from New York all

  the way to San Diego, CA. So it's like, OK, the only way

  we can get both these races on both networks and not step on

  each other's toes is we're going to do something we've never done

  before. We're going to have a timed

  race. Oh yeah, I loved it.

  They said this truck race has to get over 4/20.

  It was about 8 laps short. Sure, everybody, you know, there

  were a handful of people that lost their mind, but I thought

  12 hour race, Sebring, 24 Hours of Daytona.

  It's not the first time we've ever had a time race.

  And you know, once you get people used to things, it's OK.

  But boy, this, this was a shocking blow to a lot of fans.

  Right on cue, they all started complaining like they always do.

  Hey, it's like I say all the time, everybody.

  It wasn't really about the point system last year.

  It was about complaining. Boy, you give somebody a a

  scratch and boy, they'll they'll scratch it till you you get the

  scab right off it and things start bleeding and boy, people

  like blood. They like blood.

  So they didn't have long to bitch, though they didn't have

  long to bitch about the the time start.

  The boy was a it was AI kind of like the countdown.

  It's 418 and man, what a finish it was.

  because that Xfinity race was a barn burner.

  Austin Hill started like 20th and here he was again leading.

  Remember, Austin Hill is the superspeedway guy.

  He's won four races at Daytona, was really good at Atlanta.

  Well, it didn't take him no time.

  Qualified bad back in 20th and was leading coming to the

  checkered flag and somebody started pushing Ross Chastain.

  You could tell a slow MO. I slowed it down on my phone.

  And whoever it was beyond Ross was pushing Ross.

  And so Ross hangs a left to pass Austin Hill and Austin dives

  left and Ross, I mean save of the year.

  We're only two races in save of the year.

  One of the greatest saves I've seen in motor race in history.

  Running 180 mile an hour, getting into turn 3 Atlanta in

  Austin Hills saves that thing. I mean in wild fashion.
