- 0:09Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simo show on wooray.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:18Speaker 1: seven ten is number. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 0:21Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark.
- 0:24Speaker 4: I'm doing very well.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Thank you, Mark.
- 0:26Speaker 2: After the next game. Last night on ABC seven, I
- 0:29Speaker 2: was watching the news and they had a report that
- 0:31Speaker 2: said former Chicago Mayor Ron Emmanuel was thinking of running
- 0:36Speaker 2: for president and he's on a bicycle tour.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I can swear I saw him sitting there at courtside.
- 0:43Speaker 1: It's a guy that looked like him. I don't know
- 0:45Speaker 1: if it was him, but yeah, a bicycle tour is
- 0:48Speaker 1: perfect for him. Well, listen, we love Chicago, but you
- 0:52Speaker 1: guys send us the worst politicians. You come up with
- 0:55Speaker 1: the worst mayors and the worst governors. But thanks for calling.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You know, there were a lot of celebrities courtsie. You
- 1:02Speaker 1: know this. ABC was careful not to show Donald Trump one.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You know, he's the President United States. He's there. You
- 1:08Speaker 1: got to cut to him once in a while. During
- 1:10Speaker 1: the National Anthem maybe once or twice they quickly, you know,
- 1:13Speaker 1: put a shot at him. But Ben Stiller, Larry David,
- 1:17Speaker 1: Spike Lee. Every two seconds they were showing them. They
- 1:21Speaker 1: just kept showing Larry David. They just kept showing Spike Lee.
- 1:23Speaker 1: They just got who else I was watching the front
- 1:26Speaker 1: row there looked like Tina Fay, Tracy Morgan. Who else
- 1:30Speaker 1: did I see? If Bob Kraft was sitting there was
- 1:35Speaker 1: either Howard Lutnik or a guy that looks just like him,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and he was wearing a suit and tie, so it's
- 1:40Speaker 1: probably was probably Howard Lutnick. Who else did I see there?
- 1:44Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Of course Timothy Shalomey was there. They kept showing them.
- 1:48Speaker 1: They were careful not to show too much Trump. Let's
- 1:51Speaker 1: go to Rob in Long Island. Rob, how you doing?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Mark?
- 1:54Speaker 5: Good morning. It came to my attention this fellow Platners
- 1:57Speaker 5: receiving forty eight dollars a month of disability for herniated
- 2:00Speaker 5: disks shoulder problems BTSD. Yeah, he's claiming he's an oyster farmer.
- 2:04Speaker 5: I'm out Long Island. I I had a client that's
- 2:07Speaker 5: an oyster farmer out here. It's very hard work. And
- 2:09Speaker 5: if you went to court trying to sue in a
- 2:12Speaker 5: car action for those kind of injuries and being able
- 2:15Speaker 5: to say that you're working at an oyster farmer. It's
- 2:17Speaker 5: very insulting from yeah, well.
- 2:19Speaker 1: He's actually he's actually not an oyster farmer. He had
- 2:21Speaker 1: one time, for like two days, did some oyster.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Running around a bar with his shirt off, and he's
- 2:26Speaker 5: sending selfies in towels, and its seem like he's got
- 2:30Speaker 5: PTSD or needs forty eight hundred dollars a month on taxpayers.
- 2:34Speaker 1: No, you're absolutely right now, but he made up this
- 2:36Speaker 1: whole oyster farmer's story. His mother has a seafood restaurant,
- 2:40Speaker 1: so for like two days he went and dug up
- 2:43Speaker 1: some oysters for her restaurant. That was the extent of
- 2:45Speaker 1: his business. Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Rich.
- 2:50Speaker 3: How you doing, hey, thanks, Balk. Yeah, it looked like
- 2:53Speaker 3: Bloomberg almost got run over last night. Yeah, Bloomberg almost
- 2:56Speaker 3: broke a hip. You know. But you know, if you
- 2:59Speaker 3: look at the the cheating going on in California when
- 3:03Speaker 3: Harris ran for Attorney General, the same thing happened. If
- 3:07Speaker 3: you have these two grafts going up, there was almost
- 3:09Speaker 3: a ninety degree turn that went straight up to get
- 3:12Speaker 3: Horris elected. But it's like three times that for this
- 3:16Speaker 3: mayor race out there.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's statistically impossible. So whoever's way ahead in
- 3:20Speaker 1: the voting, then they go to the mail ends that
- 3:23Speaker 1: person gets no votes in the loser, all of a
- 3:25Speaker 1: sudden there's surging at ninety percent. It's statistically impossible. It's
- 3:29Speaker 1: absolutely ridiculous. Hey, I forgot Bloomberg was in the front
- 3:32Speaker 1: row and a one time, at one moment, a player
- 3:34Speaker 1: crashed into and almost knocked him down, and I noticed
- 3:37Speaker 1: a lot of garden officials ran over to make sure
- 3:40Speaker 1: he was okay. He was fine, he wasn't hurt. You
- 3:43Speaker 1: gotta be nuts to want to sit in the front row.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, I'm looking where Trump's sitting, big leather chair.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It seems so comfortable where he was sitting. You look
- 3:52Speaker 1: up in the stands. They got these really nice seats
- 3:55Speaker 1: in the garden. Look at the front road. They're unfolding chairs.
- 3:58Speaker 1: You're just sitting on a like those cheap folding chairs
- 4:01Speaker 1: you'd put at a bridge table, you know, like a
- 4:03Speaker 1: card table. It's terrible looking. You're sitting an inch from
- 4:07Speaker 1: the game. This sweat is hitting me in the face.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It's really not a good idea. It's like people that
- 4:12Speaker 1: are go to a Broadway show and sit in the
- 4:14Speaker 1: front row. You don't realize what it's like in the
- 4:16Speaker 1: front row. You're gonna get spit on all night, you know.
- 4:19Speaker 1: If it's a musical. When they sing, a lot of
- 4:22Speaker 1: spit comes flying out of them, especially on big notes.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm not kidna ask anybody ever sat in the front row.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You're gonna get spit on. You're gonna get the dust
- 4:30Speaker 1: all over you because the stages are filthy. You can
- 4:32Speaker 1: see when you're up close, when their foot hits the
- 4:34Speaker 1: stage like dust flies up. Never sit in the front row.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing, Good.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Morning, mak, Good morning Bow. It's the same thing at
- 4:44Speaker 4: the Metropolitan Opera or in New York State Opera. When
- 4:47Speaker 4: I would sit in the front row, especially when Pavarotti
- 4:51Speaker 4: was on the bill, a lot of stuff would fly
- 4:55Speaker 4: over that.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think they hit those notes. Everything comes
- 5:00Speaker 1: flying out of the nothing with that pap half his
- 5:02Speaker 1: luncheon coming.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Please, I didn't have my breakfast yet. Mark John Bolton
- 5:07Speaker 4: was a bad dude. And now he's getting his justified desserts.
- 5:11Speaker 4: He copped out. He's gonna pay a two and a
- 5:13Speaker 4: half million dollar fine for not clearing that book with
- 5:18Speaker 4: the Trump White House before he published it and try
- 5:22Speaker 4: the publish ship before the election day. But John Bolton
- 5:25Speaker 4: was right about one thing. Had Donald Trump put a
- 5:30Speaker 4: missile right into the control tower a minute after they
- 5:35Speaker 4: shot down unmanned drone over the Persian Gulf, which was
- 5:42Speaker 4: over international waters, we weren't being this quackmre that we are.
- 5:47Speaker 4: And now before question, Donald Trump comes out to.
- 5:52Speaker 1: That day, it's not Vietnam years since this.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Well, here in lies the difference. Here in lies the difference.
- 6:00Speaker 4: We didn't stop Vietnam. We didn't start Korea. The wars
- 6:05Speaker 4: we did start. We won the wars we didn't start.
- 6:10Speaker 4: We came to this.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but you gotta remember we're in the middle of
- 6:13Speaker 1: a ceasefire. Nothing is happening.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah, a new word that Donald Trump made up yesterday.
- 6:19Speaker 4: And I told somebody Donald Trump is working as an
- 6:22Speaker 4: editor for Miriam Webster, A moderate cheese fire.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Why, moron, you gotta calm down.
- 6:32Speaker 4: No, I don't have to come down.
- 6:34Speaker 1: We gotta we gotta go, thanks for calling. No, you can't.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You can't say quagmar in month three. You gotta wait
- 6:41Speaker 1: till like four years before you can use the word quagmar. Hey,
- 6:44Speaker 1: when we come back to the brilliant John Carney, what's
- 6:47Speaker 1: going on with the economy, oil stocks, iran all. We'll
- 6:50Speaker 1: get to all of that next on seven to ten
- 6:53Speaker 1: w O R.
