Burries Shines, Jazz Pick Right | Utah Jazz News
Brayden Burries dazzled in the NBA Summer League, leading all non-top-four picks with 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game—proving he’s a steal for Milwaukee at 10. While Utah wisely passed on him for Darryn Peterson, who’s now projected as an All-Star or even MVP candidate, Burries still shows elite NBA-ready skills: lockdown defense, smooth shooting, and leadership. Though he may not reach Peterson’s superstar ceiling, Burries could be the best player outside the top four—just don’t confuse Summer League magic with guaranteed stardom.
