- 0:33If you hate Mondays, I hope this, whatever, 10
- 0:36minutes of this bonus episode, knowing us, it

- 0:42Who knows? Hopefully this gives you a little
- 0:44bit of joy. Just want to do a quick bonus episode.
- 0:47We're going to do more bonus episodes moving
- 0:49forward. I know I keep saying that, but I promise
- 0:52more to come. Haven't forgotten about you guys,
- 0:56you Monday haters, Monday lovers, whatever camp
- 1:00you're in. I just want to hop on. You may have
- 1:02noticed there was no podcast last week. I did
- 1:05post on social media that there wasn't going
- 1:08to be one last week, and we'd resume this week
- 1:11with our normal schedule. But I wanted to fill
- 1:14you in on this weird stuff. Very weird, weird,
- 1:17weird stuff that's been happening in paranormal
- 1:20land over here. Welcome to our podcast, where
- 1:23we take deep dives looking at various topics
- 1:25through a paranormal lens. So, let me paint you
- 1:30this timeline, okay? We investigated this place
- 1:35called Rosevear Park. It was our most, at the
- 1:40time, insane investigation and spawned our first
- 1:44short film, Afterlife. a lot of that footage
- 1:47mysteriously got corrupted and the project file
- 1:51of the original like youtube video of the web
- 1:55series that we did got deleted so i had to re
- 1:58-edit it not that it was a problem i edited all
- 2:01episodes in like you know three or four hours
- 2:03so like oh i just spent another two hours on
- 2:06this god forbid a few years down the road i'm
- 2:09gonna make a whole short film using the same
- 2:10footage you know uh got me really familiar with
- 2:12the footage but you know whatever um not a big
- 2:16deal but still it was kind of odd i didn't know
- 2:18why it was happening um you know maybe it took
- 2:21me more than two hours out of that one just because
- 2:23i was so frustrated i'm like gosh dang it two
- 2:25more hours and by the time i stopped complaining
- 2:28about how weird it was it was four hours but
- 2:31then anyways fast forward and you know we do
- 2:35investigations all the time where there's like
- 2:37weird equipment malfunctions um Even recently,
- 2:42we were filming Piercini, the Plague in the Pines.
- 2:47That's a tongue twister. Plague in the Pines.
- 2:51Plague in the Pines. There you go. Say it again
- 2:54for me, Angela. I think it's only you who had
- 2:56the tongue twister. Say it like five times fast,
- 3:00though. Plague in the Pines. Angela? Faster.
- 3:07I don't want to be put on the spot. I want to
- 3:10put you on the spot because you said it's not
- 3:12hard. I'm not. Oh, God, you know I don't. This
- 3:15is the equivalent to reading out loud in a classroom
- 3:20setting. This is not nice. Stop bullying Angela,
- 3:26Ben. How dare you? So this, we need to change
- 3:29the name of this. contact Mr. Tommy Tombstone.
- 3:32We need to change the name of this documentary
- 3:33because apparently just saying it out loud is
- 3:36the equivalent of bullying. I'll just talk that
- 3:41up to a loss for you, Angela, that you, like
- 3:43me, cannot say five times fast. I probably would
- 3:47honestly stumble on the third one. Okay, so that's
- 3:49fair. That's fair. Anywho, while filming this
- 3:54documentary that only Brianna can say five times
- 3:58fast about Piers Sheeney, The camera, one of
- 4:03the cameras, started filming in a different color.
- 4:07And then it was later found out the sensor had
- 4:10an issue, a weird issue, ended up getting resolved.
- 4:14But then the other camera that had no sensor
- 4:15issue was mirroring the known issue. So one camera
- 4:20had a known sensor problem that got figured out,
- 4:22or it was unknown initially, but it got figured
- 4:25out and ended up getting that fixed. But why
- 4:28did a second camera? start filming all this unusable
- 4:33footage in a different color like all this weird
- 4:36technical equipment stuff that goes beyond just
- 4:40when people say oh uh ghosts will drain your
- 4:45camera battery or your equipment or you know
- 4:48it will use the energy of your equipment we've
- 4:50noticed some weird stuff that goes beyond just
- 4:52that and beyond the investigations themselves
- 4:54um most notably when we're filming our film dweller
- 4:59which uh earlier this year screened across the
- 5:03country and ended up winning the uh best tv uh
- 5:07what did i always forget what it was no tv media
- 5:11or something like that something like it won
- 5:12an award okay um i don't know i don't know i'm
- 5:16not focused if you're if you're a true fan if
- 5:19you're a november fan yeah if you're a november
- 5:22fan oh in november this is november hey novembers
- 5:28Hey, Novembers, if you're listening, you're a
- 5:30true November fan. I'm so sorry we dropped this
- 5:35bit before we even entered November. But thanks
- 5:41for sticking with us. I'll have to ask HR about
- 5:44that. That was not cool. Someone needs to get
- 5:47fired for establishing a bit and not following
- 5:51through. I'm not firing anyone over this. Because
- 5:57I think it's a hilarious joke. I know, but we
- 6:01dropped the ball. This should have been every
- 6:03episode in November. We should have had ASMR
- 6:08gratitude. We're mid -November. It's not like
- 6:18we waited until the last week in November to
- 6:21bring this up. That is true. Actually, I hate
- 6:24to break it to you, Bree. We record this in advance,
- 6:28so this is literally airing the last week in
- 6:30November. I'm so sorry. You are correct. I keep
- 6:34forgetting that we're almost all the way through
- 6:36November already. My brain has not been, you
- 6:40know, actually paying attention to time because
- 6:44of hunting season, and I haven't been working.
- 6:48literally today was my first day back to work
- 6:50yeah and i don't even know what the day it is
- 6:53and that's gonna be a theme our episode on thursday
- 6:55which was delayed a week um it has to do with
- 6:58hunting season so we're in full -on hunting season
- 7:00mode um so um anyways back on back on track here
- 7:05um what was i saying what was the track i totally
- 7:10got you um the bits um oh you're talking about
- 7:14dweller oh dweller yes while making that film
- 7:17During an interview that we were recording over
- 7:20Zoom, my hard drive that I was saving the footage
- 7:24to literally moved on its own and there were
- 7:27multiple witnesses. It moved on its own. On its
- 7:33own. It moved. Yeah, I do remember that. I was
- 7:40sitting on the couch and I heard you guys freak
- 7:43out about it. and then the zooms are glitching
- 7:46so like the hard drive was it was like out of
- 7:49a horror movie like the hard drives are moving
- 7:51and then the videos are glitching i'm like someone's
- 7:54gonna crawl through this computer screen this
- 7:57is like ring for the modern age this is a zoom
- 8:02call that's when we should cross through the
- 8:08tv right yeah okay Angela's like, what the fuck?
- 8:15Angela's not scared of TVs. Move across to the
- 8:18TVs? I don't know what you're talking about.
- 8:21There's a movie called Ring. It's a remake of
- 8:24a classic Japanese horror movie. And this girl
- 8:26crawls through a TV and attacks people. And I'm
- 8:29just saying the equivalent in modern age is a
- 8:34Zoom call. And this experience was literally
- 8:38like if there was... i if i was plopped in a
- 8:43modern day remake of the ring that's the setup
- 8:46that's that's how it begins um anywho and there's
- 8:50all these other weird things i was in the middle
- 8:52of recording a voiceover using a microphone very
- 8:55similar to the one i'm using now and i go i i
- 8:59just get up and maybe to go to the bathroom or
- 9:01something and i come back and it's unplugged
- 9:04and the cord is like frayed like destroyed i'm
- 9:10like well i live alone i don't remember this
- 9:14part yeah remember it moving but i don't remember
- 9:17it ever no this was the microphone this was later
- 9:20and i have i have a yeah i have a video of it
- 9:23after um yeah so i feel like i didn't hear about
- 9:26either of these events until like not a couple
- 9:30weeks ago when you told me about your hard drive
- 9:33you're like oh yeah like all these things do
- 9:35you not follow us on social media or read our
- 9:37group chat i was freaking out and i posted this
- 9:40on social media too don't remember you're just
- 9:44scared like i want to protect my space i don't
- 9:46want to crawl through nothing's going through
- 9:47my laptop what no wait in the same breath you
- 9:52want to start a podcast over zoom after all that
- 9:55shit ben I think you were trying to pull yourself
- 10:01off from the trauma. It's entirely possible.
- 10:05It's entirely possible also that for some reason
- 10:07I blanked that part of everything out. Who knows?
- 10:11I don't know my own brain sometimes. But as we
- 10:17do find out in an upcoming film of ours, you
- 10:19are human. Yes. Yeah. It's all because of my
- 10:26great discovery that Rihanna is human. This morning,
- 10:31actually, I was exporting the closed captions,
- 10:34which is the last and unquestionably most annoying
- 10:38part of the film process is making sure all the
- 10:41captions are synced up and shit. It was when
- 10:45I was reading the captions that I really realized
- 10:47the greatest line in anything I've ever created
- 10:49ever. Angela just randomly says, well, Brie is
- 10:54a human. And I had to share. Brie is a human.
- 11:02I don't know what I was talking about. I have
- 11:05no idea either. It makes more sense in context,
- 11:08but, you know, still limited sense. Anyways,
- 11:13I'm really burying the lead here. The reason
- 11:16I'm just now exporting captions for this project
- 11:20that's been finished for two weeks. It's because
- 11:22I haven't been able to edit or do anything for
- 11:24over a week because I set this up with all this
- 11:28talk about how like things escalated, whereas
- 11:30like camera badges would die on investigations.
- 11:32Okay. Then the cameras would change colors and
- 11:36have weird things and be unable to film. Okay.
- 11:39But why is the other camera now being affected?
- 11:42That's really weird. Oh, you're going to delete
- 11:44the project file. That's really weird. Never
- 11:47has it gone to the point. where what happened
- 11:53last week happened. My hard drive is plugged
- 11:56into my computer, where I have all the materials,
- 12:02all the raw video, all the project files for
- 12:04this project. The hard drive, I mean, I've had
- 12:09the same hard drive for five years, you know,
- 12:12similar brands and everything. I have a million
- 12:14of these things. Just one that has this project
- 12:17that I was in the middle of uploading to the
- 12:18distributor. i just had to do the captions it
- 12:23just all of a sudden i i get up and i come back
- 12:26and it's just suddenly not showing up on my computer
- 12:28i can't find it it's plugged in and it says it's
- 12:31on and it has the light on so it's registered
- 12:34it's on you can hear making the humming noise
- 12:36but the computer can't see it i tried everything
- 12:40i could no software no anything could find it
- 12:45um so i take it into three places the first place
- 12:50the guy seemed like genuinely like clueless and
- 12:54he was like i'll have to keep it and uh look
- 12:57at it uh maybe uh look at it for a week or two
- 13:00then i'll get back to you with a quote i'm like
- 13:02this guy's doesn't seem like he's confident and
- 13:05i don't trust him with all this footage take
- 13:07it to second place and they're like yeah that's
- 13:10odd there's no explanation for this and like
- 13:14they were just like everything i said i got hit
- 13:17back with really confidently, there's no explanation
- 13:21for this. And I was like, I don't like the sound
- 13:23of that. I want someone that can say, your footage
- 13:26is there because the hard drive is on and working.
- 13:30I'm going to be able to take the footage off
- 13:31this and put on a new drive for you. If you have
- 13:34to recover it, recover it, whatever, access the
- 13:37footage, the files, everything, and move it to
- 13:40a new drive. I take it to the third place and
- 13:42they say, I... I literally work with hard drives
- 13:48every day. This is what the guy said. He said,
- 13:49I work with these very exact drives every day.
- 13:52I've never seen this before. This is really weird.
- 13:56His words. Again, they just know I have a hard
- 13:59drive. That's not being weird. They know nothing
- 14:01about like, well, that's a paranormal movie.
- 14:04You know, they know nothing. Like they're supposed
- 14:06to be confident and tell me. you know we want
- 14:09your money we can fix this yeah yeah they're
- 14:12not primed with their normal shit and they really
- 14:16obviously want my money to fix this you know
- 14:18so none of them sound confident but this guy
- 14:21said the magic words he says well there's no
- 14:27good explanation for this and that's all i needed
- 14:29here no good explanation so so will you fix this
- 14:33and he says i will do whatever i can i designed
- 14:35all these papers it was like I spent a half hour
- 14:38there signing papers saying that, you know, they
- 14:42can, if this doesn't work, they're allowed to
- 14:44do this. And I understand the risks of this and
- 14:47this and this. And he said, okay, well, good
- 14:50news. Preliminary just checks. It seems like
- 14:54I can see the files. I just need to scan it,
- 14:59you know, transfer it and add it to a new drive.
- 15:02Should be ready in a few hours. Well, a few hours
- 15:06turned to... two days and i was like i haven't
- 15:09heard anything from them so i'm gonna call them
- 15:10and they said yeah we don't know why this is
- 15:16happening but we set it to do it overnight and
- 15:23every time we set it to do it overnight just
- 15:25you know because we don't need it logging down
- 15:28our computer or whatever during working hours
- 15:31whenever they set it and they're not looking
- 15:33at it it stops working so you just have to stare
- 15:38at it non -stop until it's done and then it'll
- 15:41work so it ended up taking not a few hours and
- 15:44i've taken a full week because they couldn't
- 15:47leave it to do it on its own otherwise if they
- 15:50just left it and like left the room you know
- 15:53set for overnight like they do for a lot of these
- 15:56like just big transfers they would just come
- 15:59back and there's there would be this weird thing
- 16:01that they couldn't explain what happened. It
- 16:04got to the point where they were like, yeah,
- 16:05it just stopped. I don't know. It didn't even
- 16:07say an error or an alert or anything. It just
- 16:09stopped. So they had to just have it do it bit
- 16:14by bit, literally file by file, reconstruct this
- 16:18entire drive. And it took over a week. So it
- 16:24literally got right to the finish line of this
- 16:27project. And that happened. Oh, no. I'm going
- 16:32to put a little pause. So it's just weird to
- 16:34me. And I know. To a normal listener. Maybe even
- 16:39you guys. I might sound paranoid. Might sound
- 16:43dramatic. But I'm dead ass serious about this.
- 16:47I really do think. And believe. I thought this
- 16:51before. And I'm fully a believer now. That. There's
- 16:59no. investigations don't stop you don't go if
- 17:02you think when you go to a haunted place and
- 17:05you're filming and if you think you film the
- 17:08three hours that you know whatever that you rent
- 17:10the place and you come back you upload the footage
- 17:13move on to the next and call it a day that's
- 17:16not how it works it's not like that weird shit
- 17:20happens in the air sometimes not bound to The
- 17:26location, bound to anything. Sometimes this weird
- 17:28shit happens that you can't explain at certain
- 17:31points in your life, tied to certain projects,
- 17:34tied to certain things, whatever. Weird shit
- 17:37happens, and these are often college synchronicities,
- 17:40call them signposts, call them shit to pay attention
- 17:42to. Every significant investigation we've done,
- 17:45most of them have led to major works, short films.
- 17:51things that have screened across a country you
- 17:53know elevated works more than just same amount
- 17:56of footage but still give more precedence to
- 17:58them and uh more you know care to the final product
- 18:02and they end up screening and resonating with
- 18:03a lot of people these elevated works tend to
- 18:06come with a lot of weird shit yes around this
- 18:10time i mean when dweller came out on paraflix
- 18:14the minute it got released on paraflix weird
- 18:17shit was happening in our apartment uh so Weird
- 18:20stuff happens. We've all experienced it. This
- 18:24was extreme. It's moved a hard drive, but to,
- 18:30there's no explanation for this. Like there's
- 18:33literally no explanation. Everything has an explanation.
- 18:36Like we were talking about Madison, that voice.
- 18:38Yeah. That is disturbing to me because there
- 18:41is no explanation. Everything, even a hard drive
- 18:44moving. Who knows? Was there, you know, did I
- 18:48set my glass down? Pick it up, put the hard drive
- 18:50on. Was it a little wet? Was it sloped? Did someone
- 18:54thump downstairs? Who knows? There's all these
- 18:57things that in the moment when we're already
- 18:59creeped out doing a creepy paranormal interview,
- 19:01we could get in this hysteria of like if something
- 19:04moves a little bit and then it's elevated and
- 19:06can we trust our memories? Did it just move a
- 19:09tiny bit or did it move? Who knows? You know,
- 19:12I'm just saying there's all these explanations.
- 19:14This is no explanation. I can't understate that.
- 19:18And no one can figure it out. No one can figure
- 19:20out. This was a true, unexplainable, I don't
- 19:26even know what to call it. It's not a malfunction.
- 19:28It's just this unexplainable occurrence with
- 19:32this hard drive. And I know, I know, you shouldn't
- 19:34trust hard drives, but I'm not anymore. From
- 19:38now on, everything is going to be backed up on
- 19:40three places. I usually back up everything after
- 19:44a project is done, changing that. Before I even
- 19:47start anything, I'm going to back things up in
- 19:49three places. Might even invest in cloud storage.
- 19:52I know for the podcast, you can record to the
- 19:55cloud. I'm going to start doing that. And anyways,
- 19:57long story short, the reason I couldn't edit
- 20:00our podcast is because the podcast is saved to
- 20:03the same drive. So right after we recorded the
- 20:06podcast, this drive that was supposed to be in
- 20:09and out in three hours, I literally couldn't
- 20:14access the... file to edit it so that's why there's
- 20:18no podcast last week and i guess i just want
- 20:22to end this rant of mine on a plea anyone that
- 20:27is diving into paranormal filmmaking invest in
- 20:32storage and backups and weird shit will happen
- 20:36and it will make you a better filmmaker but just
- 20:41know weird shit will happen so you need to be
- 20:46a better filmmaker i i mean like am i paranoid
- 20:53or no i mean i don't think with how many things
- 20:57have happened even if it didn't have anything
- 21:00to do with paranormal stuff if you were recording
- 21:02everyday life things and you've had this stuff
- 21:05happen so many times i would also be paranoid
- 21:09and be doing exactly what you're doing Well,
- 21:14I mean, to that point, too, this is my profession.
- 21:17Like, I am a videographer and filmmaker by trade.
- 21:20Yeah. This doesn't happen with other stuff. True.
- 21:24It doesn't happen with your, like, regular normal
- 21:27work. No. Any of my work. I do freelance. I do
- 21:29offshore. So this doesn't happen, like, to this
- 21:32degree. I mean, you have. Literally only the
- 21:34paranormal stuff is where all this weird technology
- 21:37type things happen with. Yeah. It's. It's definitely
- 21:42a weird occurrence. I know you hear when they're
- 21:45making reenactment movies or spooky horror films
- 21:52or whatever, they always say weird things happen
- 21:56on set. I feel like we're getting a taste of
- 22:00what that is and what they're saying. Weird things
- 22:03happen on set, except the things that we're dealing
- 22:06with when we're filming are usually... very real
- 22:11compared to like the reenactments and horror
- 22:14movies and those sorts of stuff um and it just
- 22:18makes the thought that something could be interfering
- 22:24even that much more crazy i don't know i don't
- 22:32know where i was going with that but it does
- 22:33i oh keep going no go ahead oh i was just gonna
- 22:38say for uh A next bigger film that we're going
- 22:43to be doing with one of our haunted objects and
- 22:45doing a really big deep dive into it. I'm going
- 22:50to be very curious if anything happens with that
- 22:53trying to interfere with us trying to get that
- 22:56out. I'd be very curious about that. I'm curious
- 23:01about that. I am, and I'm going to bleep the
- 23:04name of this just because I know Bree and I have
- 23:06talked briefly about this, but I want the audience
- 23:08to know that this is coming. It's going to be
- 23:11a surprise. People are asking about it. I've
- 23:14talked about it with a few people before, but
- 23:16I am not curious. I'm concerned. I am worried
- 23:20about what's going to happen around. Oh, yeah.
- 23:29I, with how much stuff happened. before uh who's
- 23:35to say like for real honestly i don't even know
- 23:43if it makes me nervous it literally makes me
- 23:46nervous a little bit because like when it gets
- 23:48to the point where you're exposing something
- 23:53that people shouldn't know about kind of like
- 23:59the whole situation was the dweller in a way
- 24:01It's not like people shouldn't know about it,
- 24:03but it's something that the dweller doesn't want
- 24:05people to know about. Well, it's a secret society.
- 24:07For decades, it was secret societies, and this
- 24:11was hidden knowledge. What will it do to protect
- 24:17itself? And also, at the same time, if something
- 24:21is trying... If this is an actual entity being
- 24:27thing... Something in the universe that's trying
- 24:31to stop the distribution or the production from
- 24:38coming out. Is it something that should really
- 24:40be coming out? Is there a reason why it's trying
- 24:43to be stopped? I don't know. I tend to think
- 24:47of it. Oh, that makes me so excited about it.
- 24:49Yeah. But also in keeping up with the dweller,
- 24:52you know, kind of idea, right? That's a personification
- 24:56of like an idea. right yeah if if i am thinking
- 25:02less it's easy to fall in that trap when you're
- 25:04talking about dweller specifically because that's
- 25:06a film about a personification of an idea so
- 25:08when external forces seem to be happening you
- 25:11are in the mindset of personifying it as like
- 25:13something trying to interfere but what if and
- 25:16i i think this might be the case of what's happening
- 25:18at least it makes it seem less scary what if
- 25:22it's less something trying to interfere and more
- 25:24oh this is just like a signpost so to speak of
- 25:30like you're on the right track this is good what
- 25:33you're doing and just kind of just like an outburst
- 25:36of energy like something in the ether the spirit
- 25:39sphere whatever is this like yeah you're doing
- 25:42it right but like that energy just kind of zaps
- 25:45stuff or like messes with the equipment in a
- 25:48way so it's like this catch -22 of like you know
- 25:52you're doing something right when this stuff
- 25:55happens pay attention to when it happens i guess
- 25:59either way pay attention when it's happening
- 26:00because it could be for good could be for bad
- 26:02who knows yeah it's definitely something to pay
- 26:05attention to in the future i think it would be
- 26:08interesting to look further into it and see what
- 26:12is going to happen with these future projects
- 26:15that we have on the slate Thanks for listening
