So how you doing, bud? Roberto Con Queso: Hey, you know? We're hanging in there. Micaiah: We're we're hanging in there. It's day by day. We are missing aka aka Rain Man, my brother Simeon. As you know, it's the ongoing joke that he is not here. He told us that he blocked off Tuesday nights and then promptly double booked himself on Tuesday nights. are we getting angry? Here's my thing. Are we gonna be angry that not only did he double book himself on Tuesday nights, he then chose What he double booked himself for instead of the podcast. Roberto Con Queso: I mean, I you'll get you you will more than likely get mad. I just like to make fun of when I can. Micaiah: All right, well, i in the spirit of making fun of him, did you hear did you see on the group chat he wants an apology? Roberto Con Queso: Well, you know what? I would like an apology too, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Micaiah: Alright, so he wants an apology because in his segment that is new to the podcast this year, that he just came up with on a whim, even though he's not on the podcast, it's the Rain Man's games they don't want you to watch. Who's they? No one knows. And more likely than not, these games have been decent games. And he wants an apology because last year we made fun of his Duke Georgia Tech pick, and Georgia Tech went on to win, right? It was actually a pretty good game. They went on to win. I believe Duke had a game time field goal that got blocked or didn't go or missed altogether. Either way, he is sticking us, you know, he is just like, these games are great. I want an apology. Well, he here's the deal, bud. And and I hope that this comes through and I hope that this works out because this is perfect. This has been in the soundbite queue forever. Here's your apology, Saman. Yeah, you're not getting an apology. You have to be on the podcast more than two weeks in a row to get an apology from either Robert or I. so hopefully you will be back soon because then maybe you can demand your apology. But up until then, you are not getting an apology whatsoever. I Roberto Con Queso: Nah. Micaiah: when I was thinking through that, I was just like, wait, we have that sound bite. I can finally use that. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: week six is in the book. Kinda a little start of the Chaos twenty twenty six college football, I would say. If Nebraska didn't pull same old Nebraska and kinda choke the game away, it really would have been Chaos twenty twenty six. Why don't we start right there? just because it is the it was the first game of the day. Thoughts on Nebraska, Indiana? Roberto Con Queso: well, first off, that was one of my upsets that I was when I Micaiah: Yes it was. Roberto Con Queso: when Nebraska was just holding that lead, I was like, We're looking great. you know, it it's you kind of look at it and you say it's same old same old Nebraska just because they find a way to lose a one score game. But I think the bigger the bigger takeaway is I Maybe Indiana Indiana is just not as good as what we think or what we are assuming. and 'cause that's two s not it might not be too straight, but it's two games that they really should have lost. They kind of got bailed out in both of those games, once against Northwestern. Again, Northwestern, who would have ever have imagined that one? Micaiah: D only one loss this year to Indiana. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: They got a nice running game. Roberto Con Queso: And the neck and then you have Nebraska. Again, it's Nebraska. Like it's not like it's if the both of these lo wins would have been against Ohio State and Oregon earlier in the season, you would have been like, well, they're the most playoff ready team there is, but they're just not you know, you said don't bet on don't bet against Signetti, and it's like, I don't know. I think I'm gonna Micaiah: Yeah, it Roberto Con Queso: start betting against him because this Indiana team's not showing me Showing me anything. Micaiah: So this Indiana team clearly is not as talented as last year's Indiana team, right? I I I think that that's fair to say, at least to this point. Now, no one says you can't improve, and maybe they will as the season goes on. But one thing that was very evident to me, and and I need to pull it up here, is their running game, which was just deadly last year whenever they wanted it to be. Ran for a total of 65 yards on 22 carries. That's very, very alarming. If I'm an Indiana fan, if I'm a college football fan, just hoping for good games, whatever, expecting Indiana to go far. Nebraska's got a nice D line, but they don't got like a top of the country D line. And you're only running for 65 yards in a backfield that you have a one-two kind of threat with Turbo Richard and Lee BB. That's that's tough. Right? That that I at least in my world, that is cause for concern. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, and especially you're you're doing it against a team that historically is just not they're competitive but they're not great. And now you have to now you welcome Ohio State into your stadium this week, who is leaps and bounds better than Northwestern, than Nebraska, than anyone they've played so far. They gotta figure it out because if not, it's not gonna look good. Micaiah: And the defense that was very solid, especially late in like late in the year la last year, no one did anything on the D and his defense. The D line's okay, but the Roberto Con Queso: Mm-hmm. Micaiah: the linebackers in the secondary, at times Nebraska just kind of did whatever they want. I mean, Nebraska ran for a buck twenty eight, you know. Calandria had a lot to do with that. So yeah, they gotta figure it out. Ohio State, kind of spoiler here are they your new number one team? Roberto Con Queso: No. No. I'm still Micaiah: With Texas losing? No? Still? Okay. Roberto Con Queso: putting in I'm I'm still Losing the in the way that they did and the meltdown that they did still is kind of like I don't know about their defense enough. Like they played one one solid team, they played Texas. And they lost. They should have won, but they lost. So you're still I'm still like, okay, now they get Indiana. If they thump Indiana, yeah, I would put them as number one because Yeah, Georgia beat Alabama, but it was arguably the sloppiest game and probably the most embarrassing game that ESPN probably ever could have aired, if we're being honest. Micaiah: Okay, well why don't we just jump into that and go ahead and explain those thought Roberto Con Queso: Do that. Yeah, yeah. Micaiah: let's let's explain those thoughts a little bit. Roberto Con Queso: So I'll cut I'll cut them some slack with the weather. Obviously, hurricane I see as CIC was rolling through. Yeah, I said what I said. Micaiah: Nailed it. Yeah, nailed it. Roberto Con Queso: so obviously conditions were not the greatest. And of course SEC football is you know, just means more, so they're just gonna play the game. it was not a thrilling game by any means. It was act to be honest with you, for I anticipated the low score, like a low scoring affair, Micaiah: Yes, you called it. Yep. Roberto Con Queso: but I did not expect it to just be as boring as what it was. Like low scoring games generally are boring, but this was like, okay, we're gonna punt it, and you're just gonna hold on to it by the end zone for me for a hot second, and then you're just gonna kick it back down to me, and then we'll just kinda You know, we'll go back and forth for a little bit and then like we'll score and but the main the worst part was the officiating. Like good lord. Like that that was bad. That was Micaiah: Yeah. Well I mean that's the big topic, right? Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: just atrocious. Did was it pass interference? I would say yeah. It granted it would be bang, Micaiah: I would say absolutely. Roberto Con Queso: it would be bang bang. It's still bang bang, like in fast motion. But when you slow it down, obviously everyone goes, yeah, that's past interference. But obviously if we're on the field watching it, it's like, Yeah, yes, yes and no. But slowly yes. I I think it just there was a lot of missed calls. And then there were a lot of calls where I was like, okay, that one probably was not the right call. But so I just It was kind of just a all around just like a kind of a crappy game for the caliber of both of those teams. Micaiah: so if you look at the stat line, Georgia kinda did whatever they want, and maybe this game should have been a bigger margin of victory than three points because Georgia had a hundred more total yards, more passing. They ran for five and a half yards of carry. They did have two more penalties, turnovers were even, they let in time of possession. So Georgia dominated stat wise. Alabama had an interception that looked To me, like an interception, even went to replay, and it didn't look like it was enough to get overturned, but they overturned it anyway. So that would have given given Bama a chance to kind of score there in the second half, right after halftime. But this was a Georgia multiple times had the ball deep in their own territory and just took that ball and marched it right down the field and just held the ball and held the ball and held the ball. And it it worked for them. I mean, they had a 93 yard drive, five minutes and eight seconds. They had a 75 yard drive in the third quarter. They had an 11 play, 69 yard drive that was six minutes that ended in a missed field goal. They had a field goal drive, 10 play, 84 yards, five minutes. And then they held the ball the final three minutes and 10 seconds of the game after Alabama had to punt after the missed pass interference call. So you're you're not a hundred percent wrong, but also like what what do you consider like an exciting game? Like if this was boring to you with this many yardage both on both sides, what are you ho what are you looking for in an exciting Roberto Con Queso: So Micaiah: game? Roberto Con Queso: you know The ex the exciting portion of it is even when even if it's a low scoring game, you still get like those big plays. You know, they get like a big run, like 20 plus yards, whether it's receiving or running. And it's like, then if this drive stalls, it's kind of like it piques your interest because you're like, okay, maybe they found something. This was just like five yards, four yards, six yards, incomplete pass, drop. And it was like a ten yard catch and then like it just was like it felt more of like a dink and dunk. Like it kind of felt like you were watching almost like a Mac game. But it you were watching Georgia and Alabama, and it's like, okay, so were these two teams just that evenly matched up that it's just like there's no that like it was the most un SEC football game. There was no explosiveness. There was no but I think it's because both of the teams just mirror each other that you can't see the difference in talent really. Except for Keelan, who would look good and then he would look bad for consecutive series and then he would look good and then he would look bad for like two or three consecutive series and you're like, okay, is that just him or is it the like the inexperience of a bigger time game? You know 'Cause he's played from behind before multiple times this year. Micaiah: The I wanna say, just looking at it, that he's young, right? That it's his in inexperience. And because you can see it, right? Like if you watch him play, you're just like, yeah, if he clicks this all together and puts all the pieces of the puzzle together, boy, everyone needs to watch out because that's just the best quarterback. That'll that can be the best quarterback in the country, right? Roberto Con Queso: yeah, he's he very well could end up being a number one overall draft pick. He he is a very good quarterback. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: But there's just times when you're just like, that wasn't right. Yep, that's Micaiah: Right. Roberto Con Queso: not and it like in an it shows. But then what point in the year do we look at it and go, you can't play like that? Because he's already played like that against Kentucky in the first half and it was bad. They ended up coming back and winning it. They played Florida State and it Micaiah: And Florida State too. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: was just like, okay. And now they ran into a team that's just Georgia's just a good football team that you know, and Micaiah: yeah. Roberto Con Queso: it was a three point loss and you know, you have to sit there and go, Okay, if I play even five percent better, we probably win the game. You know. Micaiah: I if they play, let's assume I would have to assume after watching that game Saturday that everyone's just like, yeah, those are the two best teams in the SEC. Grant it the ball can bounce a weird way for one of these teams down the road, but let's just assume they meet in the SEC title game. I'm gonna guess that that score and outcome is flipped in the other direction. Like I felt better about Bama. Like kind of assumed Georgia was gonna give me what Georgia gave me on Saturday night. I didn't know necessarily what Alabama was gonna give me. I now feel better about Alabama moving forward because I kind of know that okay, they're gonna be able to live up to whoever comes knocking on their door. And I'm just gonna assume in the SEC title game that again, a close game like this, it's hard to beat a team twice. Keelon Russell is gonna figure some things out, that that score's gonna be flipped in if they do meet again in the future. Roberto Con Queso: I don't know so much as Fli I mean it could be, but I kinda I mean I feel better about both of them because I wasn't sure about Georgia because Georgia obviously hasn't played anybody. So how are they gonna come out against an actual team, an actual test? You know, Vanderbilt is garbage, Oklahoma was garbage when they played against them. Arkansas is just Arkansas, you know. But and then Bama. Micaiah: They're the ones who des Arkansas the one who deserves the garbage term, dude. They're so bad. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. But well, you did not watch the old Miss Vandy game. If you would have watched that if you would have watched the last five minutes before half, you would have been like, that's a bad team. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: But Bama, like we knew Bama had a we knew they had a clickable offense and we knew their defense was capable of keeping them in the game. It was just when are those two things really going to How good actually are they when both of those pieces work? And we kind of saw it work, but there's still not that perfect cohesiveness where it's not a complete game for Bama. Once Keelon is if he gets hot and he's playing at his best, that's not saying that it would result would be different because if Georgia is playing at their absolute best. But if Alabama, if Keelon's at his best and And the defense is playing at their best, yeah, they're that's probably a national championship caliber team. Micaiah: I I definitely think that you would have more of an exciting game if they met the second time around. You know, both of the offenses will kind yeah, yeah. 'Cause they Roberto Con Queso: Well there would be no weather either. Yeah, there 'cause there's no that's not, you know. Micaiah: they play in Atlanta as well. Roberto Con Queso: Which is stupid. Micaiah: 'Cause you want the game outside or you hate neutrals like games or what? Roberto Con Queso: No, I like neutral site games, but I if I'm if it's going to be a neutral site game, don't have it practically in right next to Georgia University. Micaiah: Yeah, I mean, where else are they gonna house it that isn't near an SEC university, but that's all right. Roberto Con Queso: Personally, what they should do is they should go and say, okay, the Big Ten championship is in Atlanta, Georgia, and the SEC Micaiah: they flip it. Roberto Con Queso: championship is up in Indianapolis. Get it as Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: far away from these guys as possible because it's just a home game for half these people. Make them actually travel, play in an environment they're never in. Micaiah: Yeah, I mean I think I probably my guess is and my uncle can correct me if I'm wrong, avid listeners, shout out Dr. Kevin Kern. they did that or I would assume regionally because college football used to be regional, not so national. Now that if it's national, you know, there's fans all over and now they're gonna pack the stadium no no matter where the game is. But I have always w especially if it's like Georgia in the SEC Auto game versus not Alabama. So say, I don't know. Missouri, right? Like that crowd's gonna be 80% Georgia fans because it's right there in Atlanta, right? So Roberto Con Queso: Well, and it's like there and that's always th the big the Sugar Bowls. no, the Sugar Bowl's in Louisiana. Chick-fil-A. The P Chick-fil A is Micaiah: a Louisiana, yeah. But same thing. Yeah, right. Roberto Con Queso: in so it's like get it away from those stadiums that these guys are potentially going to be playing. It's like, we just we just played here last week, you know, we're comfortable where we are. And it's like, no, get a little uncomfortable college football. You already ruined everything else. Micaiah: Robert, Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: true or false here, did I or did I not tell people, everyone that Texas o Texas' offense wasn't good? Roberto Con Queso: Yes, true. Micaiah: Yeah, true. It showed up again. Normally when the number one team in the country loses, it's my gosh, a shocker. Let's that's leading the story, leading the college football headline. But because of the Saturday it happened on and how Arch has been playing and that Texas lack of running game has been playing, it w really wasn't a shocker. The shocker was is that Oklahoma was able to score a touchdown. With their offense. They did get a pick six. They did get a blocked punt for a touchdown. So they did everything right. They played Iowa football and they won with that. Goes to show that Iowa can run with that, can can win, and you can use their method to win at a bigger level. I mean, Texas did have 382 yards of offense, and their defense held Oklahoma the inept Oklahoma offense to 238 yards, but penalties again killed them. Two turnovers. One really one late really bad by Arch that Keon Coleman did not help him out, to your point, that you pointed that out. And then the pick six, it was not a good throw at all. sailed that. And they had eight penalties, 61 yards. That comes off the back of the Tennessee game where they had double-digit penalties for a hundred some yards. They kept Tennessee in that game. And time of possession was even. So they let Oklahoma hang around long enough to. Kick the game winning field goal. Is this a I'm tr I'm thinking of how to phrase this question to make it sound cool, but I'm not gonna be able to do that. Is this a symptom or is this a is this a symptom or a disease? Like is this just a you can clear that up with some medication or is this bummer d bummer? This Texas team was number one, they got two or more losses coming. Roberto Con Queso: Well, yeah, I think they have two or more losses coming because they they have a pattern where they they play a team that's better than Texas State and UTSA. They can't do anything. Their offense is bad. Offense is offense was bad against Ohio State and Ohio State let them win. Offense was bad about bad against Tennessee and Tennessee let them win, essentially. And then bad offense was bad against Oklahoma and Oklahoma was bad enough to not blow Texas out, but good enough to at least win by a field goal. Like Micaiah: And Oklahoma's bad. Roberto Con Queso: yeah, they're Oklahoma is and Oklahoma was missing a lot of players on that team for that game too. So Micaiah: Yeah, yeah they did. Yep. Roberto Con Queso: and you know, it again, I I think it's Arch. Like Micaiah: Three of fourteen on third down would point to the quarterback. Roberto Con Queso: Like he ev almost all of his as soon as there's any pressure, the eyes go shut and the ball's getting thrown. Where it's going, he has no clue. Which I was like I didn't want to put the blame on Arch because I was like, Well, Cam just didn't come back for the ball. That's stupid on his part. But Micaiah: But he still threw it when he was pressured. Right. Roberto Con Queso: You s he threw it when he was pressured and he was about to get hit and he was just like, nope, and his eyes were going closed, and you got like I it we I feel like we fell into the hype again. We fell into the hype. It was Arch Manning back at Texas, Heisman hopeful. This is the year for Arch. Texas is back, blah blah blah blah blah. And then we're back here again where It's a team they should have beat. It's not like they lost to Ohio State. Not like they lost to Ohio State by one. And it's like, all right, it's Ohio State. Very good team. Probably going to make it to the national championship in theory. No, this is Oklahoma. Oklahoma is fighting for their life to make a bowl game. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Like, rivalry game or not, you on paper should have beaten the pulp out of them. But you didn't. Like, it's not that they they don't have an easy fix because if it was an easy fix, it would have been fixed probably after Ohio State. And you looked at it and said, well, they beat UTSA by, you thirty to six, and it's like, congratulations. Well, UTSA is also not a great program. Cause you came back and only beat Tennessee by three, and Tennessee had the ball last and probably should have beat you. Micaiah: if it wasn't for Colin Simmons and the defensive line of Texas, Roberto Con Queso: Mm-hmm. Micaiah: that you are probably a hundred percent correct. I'm gonna put the onus on again the offensive line in the running game. Hollywood Smothers and Ralique Brown, they paid a lot of money. I don't know how much, but I'm sure they paid a lot of money to get those two in the portal to bring them over from where they were, the schools they were, and they incoming. Hollywood Smithers, 12 carries, 39 yards. Ralique Brown, five carries, 22 yards. What? Like, and they weren't even the leading rushers on the team. That was Derek Cooper, eight carries, 41 yards. So if all those guys they average 5.1, 3.3, 4.4, why are we just not running the ball? We're e it's either play calling or it's who's Sark. Or it's Sark not trusting the offensive line. But the numbers would dictate per rush that they were at least successful enough to turn around the ball and be able to melt this game away in the second half on the ground. And they just didn't do it. And maybe that's why some people are saying, hey, he needs to give up play calling. I don't know. He is one of the best player callers in the country, but that just hasn't translated to big time wins and A national championship there in Austin. So we're gonna have to keep an eye on that. Arch QBR75, but again, he is the reason they lost. And Sark came out this week and said, Yeah, it it's it's because he's manning that he's being crucified. It's the name on the back. And that is correct. And that is a burden he's going to have to bear moving forward, whether that be now or in the NFL. No. Roberto Con Queso: yeah, it it's not gonna get any easier. It's gonna get way worse because one of I I don't wanna you know, two of his uncles are Hall of Fame quarterbacks. You're always gonna be in the shadow. Micaiah: And and it does so this week they go to Florida, which Florida's just lost their identity on offense. Then then, or I'm sorry, these are home games. Florida, Old Miss Mississippi State. Old Miss Mississippi State know how to put up points. Then they go to Missouri. All of a sudden they have found an offense. They go to LSU. We'll get into them in a bit. Robert, don't you worry. And then they finish up with two cupcakes in Arkansas and in AM. So they're gonna have to figure something out and figure it out quick. But Robert, we're gonna go to some more somber news here. Did you hear about the shooting on the campus of Oregon? Roberto Con Queso: No, is that today? Micaiah: That w no, that was Saturday when they took on UCLA. It got overlooked by the fact that Oregon lost. the whole football team just grabbed a bunch of firearms and shot their own foot off. Roberto Con Queso: Dog, you can't do that, man. Like I was like, man, I I was like, I really didn't hear about that. I was like, wait, and they still played the game? I was like, holy smokes. Pretty ruthless. Micaiah: Andy Roberto Con Queso: But yeah, okay. So yeah, all right, touche, touche. Micaiah: All right. that was the wor this is coming from us watching Michigan versus Minnesota and us watching Michigan versus Western Michigan. That was the worst football game I've seen this year. Oregon had seven turnovers, five fumbles lost, two interceptions. They were one for twelve on third down, for two on fourth down. They somehow were within 70 total yards of UCLA. They had 73 yards rushing on 2.7 yards of carry and five penalties for 45 yards. Dylan Rayola might need witness protection because after an just outstanding USC game, he was awful. Roberto Con Queso: He was He was Micaiah: Historically bad. Do you know what his QBR was on Saturday? And it's a zero to one hundred. Roberto Con Queso: It couldn't have been anything higher than twenty five. Micaiah: It was two. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, I believe it, dude. It Micaiah: So they they inserted their third string quarterback, and that's when they store scored all their points. If you can indulge me, I like drive charts, right? These are just what their drives did. So here we go. Just indulge me, and then I'll let you talk about this. They went punt, one-yard touchdown set up by the defense, and here we go. Punt, punt, fumble, fumble, punt, punt, interception. End of half. Third quarter, punt, fumble, interception, insert fumble, insert backup or third string quarterback, field goal, touchdown, fumble, end of game. Thoughts on Oregon. I also called Oregon being mediocre this year and no one wanted to believe me, but I'll like that. Roberto Con Queso: so this was one of the upsets that I called. Micaiah: It that it is. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Oregon was just they were just bad. It was so bad. This game was actually almost just as bad as bad as like it was almost as bad watching as Alabama and Georgia. Because it was just like There were so many turnovers, but like there was no points for the turnovers. Like it was like you with the number of turnovers, it should have been forty to fifteen. Like, but Micaiah: Yes, yeah. huh. Roberto Con Queso: UCLA but UCLA just doesn't have the offensive firepower that they need to make it work. But yeah, I would have never have expected that a team would have a meltdown as bad as Oregon is by just losing your quarterback. Like Dante Moore must be the greatest quarterback on the face of the earth because if Micaiah: I must be Roberto Con Queso: he if he makes Oregon look like the possible Big Ten contender that they were, to now they could barely get past the 50 without putting the ball in the dirt or in the hands of UCLA. Good it was, dude. Micaiah: It was hard to Roberto Con Queso: Kudos to UCLA. Micaiah: Yeah. for sure for sure. This is not taken away from you, CLA, but this is Oregon. What the bleep was that? Right? Like Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: every time I was at a wedding, so I had it on my I had a quad box going on my phone. And every time that I would look down at that game on my phone, it was a turnover. Oregon was turning the ball over. Any momentum that they got, it was immediate turnover. Bad news for UCLA, Nico Ilimaliava is out for the year. Injury happened in this game. Part of the reason this game probably wasn't forty five to fifteen is because he left. Roberto Con Queso: No, he was he was part of the reason it was seventeen fifteen. Micaiah: I mean, right he did have two interceptions, yes. And but then he's yeah, Roberto Con Queso: Bad interceptions. Micaiah: he he he's gone for the year. So I just wow. So they're at two losses and unranked for the first time, I don't know, six years or something like that, I think. Roberto Con Queso: Ooh. Yeah, hot minute. Micaiah: Yeah. So but wow. That that was that was just really bad. All right, Robert Professional QB What do they call it? Quarterback couch? I I don't know. You know, w when you make w when you pretend to be armchair quarterback. That's what I'm looking for. Roberto Con Queso: yeah, all right. Micaiah: All right, professional armchair quarterback. Is UCF is USC's defense really fixed? Or did they just play two really bad teams the last two weeks? Roberto Con Queso: No, they've played two pretty bad teams the pa past two weeks in my opinion. The defense Penn State kinda did whatever they wanted to, kind of against USC's defense. Right. Like Micaiah: Four Penn State this year. They did whatever they wanted to, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Pen and like Penn State's offense hasn't looked great. Now, against Michigan, they're gonna look like perennial all stars. So Micaiah: Well, Bryce is gonna throw him two interceptions and put the ball on the ground. Roberto Con Queso: That's what I yeah. So I mean, yeah, it's gonna be a great game. Not. but yeah, I I don't I don't think their defense is really there. They're competitive, but they're not the defense that you need to really stay like super competitive. Yeah, you're you're gonna beat Penn State, you're gonna beat Michigan, you're gonna beat maybe Minnesota, but like you step into the ring against a bigger s a bigger threat, maybe Indiana, Ohio State. I just don't think that the defense is quite there. Micaiah: An inept Penn State offense over the last well now well two weeks was not inept 357 yards, 289 passing. they only had 68 yards rushing. Penn State did have the one turnover, but turnover or time of possession was just about even. So I we were talking at work and I said this is Lincoln right, this version of USC is just his Oklahoma teams in the In the Big Ten. Because I don't when he was at Oklahoma, it was all offense, no defense, and he had to win a game 49-42 again and again and again and again. Now instead of 49-42, this is what Big Ten high scoring looks like, which is 3123, right? So the offense is fantastic. Jaden Maiava, first round quarterback, maybe. I mean, he's playing really, really well. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, I mean it's always hard to determine. Like, is he is he first round talent this year? Yeah. I th I like mid to late thr first round. But that's kind of like that's kind of it. Like he he's make he's making do with what he has at USC, which and it kinda is like not a whole lot. They have like two or three guys that are Pretty good. but yeah. Yeah, Micaiah: Yeah. They got a lot of good freshmen too. Roberto Con Queso: it's a they're a very odd young team that has it kind of going right now. And if they had a better defense, like they'd be a sh Micaiah: Yeah. But it Roberto Con Queso: sleeper. Micaiah: if they keep everything together next year or the year after, this it Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: could it could be totally opposite where this defense is just liked out because that's where all the freshmen are, and then their offense Roberto Con Queso: Right. Micaiah: maybe maybe is struggling. So USC's one to keep an eye on as well for everyone. Their schedule remains they have to go to Wisconsin in two weeks. Wisconsin's playing good, and then they get Ohio State. They get another bye. because they played in week zero. They get another buy and then they go to Indiana and they get number 12 UCLA. Who knows what UCLA is at at that point in time? So they better figure out their defense because Jeremiah Smith on this defense might go for 500 yards. And that is putting it kindly because he is the best player in the country, bar none. just some other updates kind of before we move on here. Perdon't is gone. At least for now. They are back to being calling they are back to being called Purdue. officially here on mostly college football. We have put that out there. They are two and one in the Big Ten. They've won back to back Big Ten games and they throttled Minnesota. That game was not close at all. So congratulations Purdue. Yay there. and then Lane Kiffin lost to Kentucky in overtime. LSU lost to Kentucky in overtime. Kentucky back to back weeks going for a two point conversion in overtime to win the game. Worked out both times for them. How good is Kentucky? still to be seen. How good is LSU? Not really sure. Sam Levitt is up and down. What up my biggest takeaway from this game? Robert, end of the game. Before they punted the ball back to Kentucky, they had a fourth and one from their own 44-yard line. If he is at when he was at Old Miss, he is going for that 12 out of 10 times. And instead punts the ball, Kentucky goes down, kicks a field goal, ties the game. Kentucky, by the way, missed two field goals, or this game wouldn't have even gone to overtime. Kentucky kind of had control of this game for most of it. Roberto Con Queso: Kentucky was Kentucky. Micaiah: Yeah. It was very shocking to me too, and I have it written here, a little vulgar. Lane Kiffin lost his balls for the first time in his coaching history. It was very unlink-like to not go for that fourth and one. Roberto Con Queso: I don't know if he has the trust in Sam Levitt. Because Micaiah: That's so funny 'cause that's what someone else said. Go ahead, sorry. Roberto Con Queso: like he Sam Levitt's not playing really good at all. He's kind of just there. the Micaiah: Good way to put it. Roberto Con Queso: I well, it's not like he's not being a game changer and he's not He's not like a he's not like the general out there either. He's not commanding people. And again, you know, this was supposed to be a team that everyone was saying they're gonna be national champions and the national championship, big playoff team. The only thing they're they're one and two in the SEC. And the two losses in the SEC, well, one of the losses at least, was not to a team that I pegged them to lose to. And at this point, they might get the breaks beat off them by Alabama. Like because Alabama is more than likely only going to get better, and LSU is going to they they should get better. But if if he doesn't really have confidence in Sam Levitt, and Sam Levitt doesn't have confidence in himself anymore, this is gonna be a bad season for him. And LSU fans are gonna be like, whoa, flapping their gums like they tried to do at the beginning of the year, saying Lane Kiffin's the greatest thing since conflict got on college football. But here we are. Four and two. You're you you're you're out of the SEC championship. So there's already strike one, which means you're not your best you're probably gonna be into the playoff is probably ten. And then what's gonna happen? You're gonna get into those playoffs. You might win the first game because you're probably gonna get like You'll get someone goofy, like you'll get Texas, and Texas is not they're not Micaiah: Doesn't have an offense, right, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: they're they're kind of in the same boat, and then you know, you'll win that game and then you'll get railroaded in the second round, and then in th I'm just gonna sit here in January saying, Wow, who would've guessed this outcome? you know? Micaiah: Robert's never more entertaining to win. He's been proven right. And so so far, with his pick section and with his call on LSU, he has been proven right. Sam Levitt, to the your trust argument, had an interception and a fumble. Good over QBR. But when you're turning the ball over, it's hard to overcome. He has 10 passing touchdowns, and I know that he has more than two fumbles on the year. So he probably has I'm 99% sure he has more turnovers than passing touchdowns this year. Not good. Not good at all. So you could be right that Lane Kiffin might not trust him enough to be able to go for it and make these and make these calls. And they're paying him a lot, a lot of money at LSU. I mean, he was the number one QB in the portal. I didn't get it in watching his Arizona State tape, but hey. Again, what do I know? Again, maybe proven right. I said Oregon's gonna be mediocre. They were. You know, I said Michigan's floor was six and six. It looks lower than that. So again, like people come here and and tell us on the socials that we're wrong all the time. And that's okay. I as long as you're listening, that's fine. And as long as you're gonna tell us and interact with us, that's fine. But I'm gonna tell you, more often than not, we're gonna sit here and we're gonna be right. So I Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: Just sorry about it. All right. So that takes care of week six. We are now officially heading into the midway point of the college football season, and that is week seven. We got a bunch of ranked on ranked violence. We're not gonna preview them all, but we're going to preview some of the biggest games. a lot of rivalries also playing this weekend. So I'm gonna quiz Robert's rivalry knowledge. So let's start with Ohio State and Indiana. As I need to open that tab. Number four, Ohio State goes to number five, Indiana. This is big noon kickoff. Again, big noon kickoff, just slowly squeezing the life out of college football, especially with Gus Johnson and Joel Clatt. But that's a whole nother maybe text chain argument. Ohio State's offense, let's just call it Jeremiah Smith for kicks and giggles. They're fourth in the country, they're seventh in scoring. They've scored on everyone. He has gotten open versus everyone. So Indiana's defense is fifth in total scoring, but passing their forty first. Nebraska had good moments, both running and passing. Let me just give it to you this way. Are you seeing anything other than Jeremiah Smith going for two bills? Roberto Con Queso: I don't know if he'll go for that much. I I he's probably gonna be I'm gonna say between eighty to one ten is where his receiving yards is gonna fall into. Micaiah: I think he only had forty on Saturday, but two touchdowns. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, but they were very quick touchdowns too. Like it was it was they they were I don't I don't know if he did. Micaiah: He and he probably didn't play second half, I'm gonna guess, right? Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: It's one of these things I have a feeling this is gonna turn into like the very first time Indiana owned Ohio State played, and game day went to Indiana and they were like, Indiana, sign that, and then Ohio State was like, Welcome to the show. And and beat them very convincingly. I kind of feel like this is exactly how this is gonna go because I just Two games that Indiana struggled, their defense did not look good. And you're going up against a way more superior offense. And Ohio State's defense is better than your defense, but I think they still have more room to improve because Micaiah: Yeah, I would agree with that. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: yeah, yeah, they they were beating Texas handily. And then let them come back. Now, do I know I do not believe Hoover is better than Arch. I think Arch is better than Hoover, but I don't see this scenario where Ohio State doesn't win by more than two touchdowns. Micaiah: I have a feeling, like again, I have this rule never bet against Signetti, and it's so funny how quickly that that can go. And I might just have to be a man of my word and pick Signetti, even though I don't want to, but I also have that feeling. If there is one weakness on this Ohio State offense, it is their rushing attack. Now, is that because Jeremiah Smith's out there? Or is that because they're not as Comfortable offensive line scheme, whatever it may be, and with the backs to be able to have a good solid rushing attack. It's probably a healthy combination of both. They're still 60th in the country, rushing 468 yards per game. But Indiana's offense has got to figure out something. and they're gonna have to run the ball and dominate the line of scrimmage and control the line of scrimmage if they're gonna want to have any shot on Saturday. Can they? Absolutely. Will they? I don't that that's a whole nother question. So this is gonna be a just I'm gonna say low scoring game. Like I think we're getting like 21, 24 7 sort of deal. Like, you know, like not a 38 31 kind of game. Roberto Con Queso: I think it's close in the first half. Like it's a one score touchdown field goal kind of first half. But then I just think Ohio State scores, gets a stop, and then goes down and scores again. And then it's just trying to play catch up. And I don't I don't think Indiana's built for the catch up yet. Micaiah: Is Josh Hoover finally gonna throw an interception on Saturday? Roberto Con Queso: more than likely. Micaiah: Okay, so Robert, you are predicting Josh Hoover gonna throw an interception on Saturday because he is 17 touchdowns, zero interceptions, but Julian's saying 17 touchdowns, two interceptions, completing the ball 71%. Again, when you're throwing to Jeremiah Smith half the time, that's gonna help the qu completion percentage out. so this is gonna be a very interesting, very exciting game to watch. I'm looking forward to it, maybe just. With the sound off and not the sound on. All right, we are going Roberto Con Queso: Amen, brother. Micaiah: dude. It it's they just regress week to week, too. Like I'm not saying calling Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Yeah, it's bad. Micaiah: a game is easy, right? I I'm not gonna sit up here and say, calling a game is easy, and I could do a better job because I couldn't. That is a downright lie. But dude, I had the just You know what? I'm just gonna stop there. Roberto Con Queso: I told yes, I told yes. Micaiah: You you did again, you being right. All right. let's go to Mizzou and Old Miss. I think this has a potential to be a barn burner in the SEC because Missouri's kind of finding their running game a little bit. They are 46th in the country, 182 yards per game. Austin Simmons can throw one of the prettiest balls in all of college football. He's left-handed. He was at Old Miss. So this is a kind of redemption game for him because Trinidad stole his job last year. So this is guy who got his job stolen versus the guy who stole his job. That doesn't happen too often in college football. Probably will happen more as we go on. The defenses for Old Miss scoring is 108th. Missouri's defense, 29th. So a little better. I also underestimated them a little bit. Missouri's got dudes up front that shut down Florida's running game. Now South Carolina proved that maybe that wasn't as hard as I thought it might be. And Missouri's offense kind of cooks here. This is 330 SEC network, Old Miss's offense with Trinidad 21st in scoring, 15th passing, 105th in rushing, with Kiwan Lacy, a little bit of a surprise to me because they always led the SEC in rushing when Lean was there. How you seeing this one play now? Roberto Con Queso: think this one's gonna be our shootout, the shootout of the week. Bang bang. Missouri right now is kind of proving me wrong because I always say they're like a top twenty like a twenty to twenty Micaiah: Yeah, right. Roberto Con Queso: five kind of ranked team. they definitely have more firepower and it seems like that Florida game was the was the rocket ship and then that now they're just taking off. And I don't know if this is gonna be the is it gonna be the shootout that they just kinda come up short? Is it the shootout where They come out on top because they're going up against a pretty high power high powered offense. you know, they're gonna be on the road. But I mean this this is probably going to be the most exciting game. The what what what does the aka like to call the games that people don't want like you don't want to miss this one. Micaiah: the games that no that they don't want you to watch. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. There's someone at my door. I will be right back. Micaiah: Okay, I I will get us to the next topic. Why also why Old Miss in Missouri is on SEC network and not ABC or even better ESPN, I have no idea because I do think that this is going to be the game of that 330 slot. So we're just gonna have to see. But expect a lot of points and a very good football game between Missouri and Ole Miss. We are going to go to a game. 7 30 p.m. on Fox. It is being buried because it's not being buried on per purpose. Fox is trying to have it in a primetime slot, and they do, but it's going to be overshadowed by Notre Dame BYU, which we'll talk about in a minute. But Oklahoma State, since their loss to Tulsa, and again, you have to you have to own all your losses in the loss column, but they are a completely different team than what they were. Drew Mesta Maker. Didn't look like himself. Hawkins, Wyatt Young, no one on the Oklahoma State offense looked like themselves in week one versus Tulsa. They got a huge win versus number two, Oregon, and then they have been on the rocket ship ever since. This offense is 24th in scoring, 35th in rushing, fit, sixth in passing, sixth in total yards, going up against a Houston defense that is sound, especially against the run. They rank number four. Fourth in the country in yards per game, allowing 74 yards. Now, Houston's defense is 117th in the nation, allowing 248. So that plays right into MestiMaker's hand. But the efficiency of the Houston offense as well. Their one loss was to Texas Tech on a Friday night. Inches short of tying that game in a comeback against Texas Tech. But they are 13th in yards, 50th in passing, 14th in rushing. 15th in points per game. This is going to be another shootout on Saturday night on Fox 7 30. It is going I I have just been in love with watching the Oklahoma State offense and Drew Mestimaker. He is a bona fide first round talent from what I've seen historically. The offense can do whatever it wants. Now, MestiMaker has a knack for turning the ball over. Five interceptions on the year, completing about 68% of his passes. Connor Wegman, on the other hand, was at Texas Tech, transferred to Houston, and is quietly having just as good of a season as Drew Mestimaker. 1400 yards, 15 touchdowns, one interception. 68% of his passes are completed as well. Shootout good lore. I don't know what the over-under is, but this is just going. I'd take the over if I and I may on Saturday. I may take the over on Saturday. Oklahoma State ranks 25th in defensive third down percentage, allowing opponents can to convert 31% of third downs. Oklahoma State is 103rd in the FPS with a negative three turnover margin. Houston is 26th. With plus four. So again, that is where that Drew Messmaker interception can come into play. And if your defense can't get stops against Houston, you cannot turn the ball over. So this is going to be a very exciting, very interesting one to watch. Houston's also 14th in the country in time of possession with 33 minutes per game. Rob is back just in time for BYU Notre Dame. I touched base. Roberto Con Queso: Woo! Micaiah: I touched base on Houston, Oklahoma State, and said it's a shame that this is happening at the same time as Notre Dame BYU because this is going to be another high-scoring affair. Up and down offenses all night long there in Houston. Notre Dame Fighting Irish goes on their own for their first big test of the season. I think that that's fair to say. They have just been Roberto Con Queso: Very much so. Micaiah: crushing. Everyone that they played again. This is a carbon copy of last year. It's going to be a carby copy next year. This was this game is in place of the USC game. Fun fact there for you, Robert. 5 0 BYU Cougars. 6 0 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I say this is old money in Notre Dame versus new money. Last 10 years, BYU has really gotten this thing cooking. Couple top 10 appearances, always kind of in the top 25, right in the thick of things at the end of the season. So old money versus new money, how are you seeing this play out? Roberto Con Queso: Really don't know. the game feels like it is BYU. I mean, what do like BYU essentially has nothing to lose here. You know, because if they go, it's at home. As long as you keep this game close, you lose by three, maybe even a touchdown, you're still in a very, very good position. especially Micaiah: No conference losses still, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: especially when it starts rolling into the like the playoff portion of it and they're like, Okay, well you look at the loss center, that's a good loss. For Notre Dame, I th Notre Dame has everything to lose because This is their This is probably the second best team they're gonna play other than Miami. Micaiah: Mm-hmm. Roberto Con Queso: So you need to win these. You have to win this one, you have to beat USC, you have to beat Miami. they're not playing USC this year. Okay, so Micaiah: They're not playing USC but yes. They're they're playing SMU rank currently. Roberto Con Queso: Okay. So you have to beat BYU, have to beat SMU, and you have to beat Miami. You can't lose these because you're not in a conference. So you have no conference championship to bounce back from. You don't you know you you need all the help you can get when it comes to solidifying your position in the playoff. I think I I just think Notre Dame has a little bit more firepower. CJ Carr is still playing very well, which I mean, he's not missed a beat since last season. but Bachmeyer hasn't lost a beat, missed a step either. So it's like it's a very this should be a very good game. And do I think it's gonna be best game? No. Just because I don't think there's gonna be a ton of scoring, but it'll be a very Very good football game. Micaiah: This is Kalani Sataki has spent the better part of again the last decade making trench improvements for on both sides of the ball. And it is very evident. And I don't think Notre Dame is gonna go in there and push them around to your point. But I do think especially defensively, Notre Dame just has more firepower. Notre Dame has the best defense in terms of point. In terms of yards per game, they're fourth in scoring, third in rushing, twelfth in passing. They're just a very sound defense. Again, level of opponent, but you can only play who's on your schedule. And the defense is doing a very good job at that. You flip it over to the offense. There's again, they're scoring their fourth in scoring, 38th in rushing, 37th in passing. So they're hella balanced. And 28th in yards per game. What worries me is BYU went on the road to TCU and messed around there in the rain. And then last week, yes, they beat Iowa State twenty-four-ten. But that was at home. And 24-10 against Iowa State, if you want to beat elite talent, not the best look because that game was kind of mess messed around with as well. They got a good win versus Arizona just at the beginning of the year, and they blew out Colorado State and U and Utah Tech. But if they're if they're it your point about Notre Dame, it's gotta win these games. BYU has to win this Notre Dame game because the rest of their schedule is UCF, Arizona State, Utah, fine. Good holy war there. Baylor, Kansas, Cincinnati. You got no more ranked team other than Utah on your schedule. So you're gonna need some help to elevate your status to it because if you make it to a Big Twelve title game and lose to whoever To be that second team in, you gotta be able to say, Hey, we beat both the ranked teams on our schedule, one of them, whatever. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. I I think I just I think BYU has a little more leverage because of having that championship game. So it's like okay, if you lose this one, it doesn't look it if you lose by a decent amount. Like if you get blown out, it's like that's bad. Micaiah: Buy, right. Roberto Con Queso: Right. If you keep it close and then you s make it to your conference championship and you lose your conference championship, like it they lose close, they're not going back They're not gonna drop all the way back to like eighteen. You know what I mean? They're probably gonna fall to like what are they eight right now? They'll probably fall to twelve. So Micaiah: Yeah. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: then if they still run their table and get to the conference championship, they're gonna face probably Texas Tech as long as they don't lose. And Texas Tech at this point's probably gonna be at least a top ten team. Micaiah: So you have Notre Dame in your I'm sorry. You have to also remember with Notre Dame, they have that rule that if they're 12 or higher, they get an auto bid. So even if they lose to BYU and it's close losses, if they lose to BYU and if they lose close to Miami, I don't know that they drop far enough. Like, like I I don't think they drop farther farther than 12. So I think that Noder like, yeah, you can drop one of these as long as it works the other way too, as long as you don't get blown out by BYU and Miami. Like if BYU just handles them 4117, then all bets are off, right? Then it then you have an argument. You went on the road and got smoked. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Yeah. 'Cause yeah, if if Notre Dame if Notre Dame comes out and gets just Mollywapped, like they're prob they're probably gonna fall to like at least eleven. Maybe twelve maybe not twelve, but maybe eleven. And then if you lose close to Miami, 'cause your only in between game there is Navy, you're not gonna get a lot of credit for whooping up on Navy because congratulations. Micaiah: Yeah, yeah, it's navy, right? Roberto Con Queso: and you you know, you lose now you have two losses and The Miami game's probably gonna eliminate you. You're not gonna drop at the top twenty five, but you're at least gonna go back to seventeen. Like Micaiah: thank you also, Jim Harbaugh, for not recruiting CJ Carr, because he could be our quarterback right now, and not someone who doesn't know how to read a defense. But I digress. All right. so those are the games. that game it will be on 7 30 ABC. So make sure if you got your YouTube TV quad box going, you got at least that one and the Oklahoma State Houston game up because I think you're gonna too see two. Very fascinating football game 730 in that 7:30 time slot. Robert, we're gonna play a quick game here, then we're gonna do Roberto Con Queso: Let me hear it. Micaiah: all your stuff, and then we're gonna get into picks of the week. Okay, so rivalry, some rivalries are being played this weekend. I am going to give you the game, the name of the rivalry. You have to give me the two participants. And Roberto Con Queso: Okay. Let me hear it. Micaiah: I know for a fact you are not going to get most of these because I didn't know most of these. I had to look Roberto Con Queso: Correct. Micaiah: them up. All right. I'm going to start you off easy with third Saturday in October. Roberto Con Queso: Third Saturday in October, that is that's that's Bama and Tennessee, yeah. Micaiah: Correct. That is taking place 330 ABC. Again, why they didn't put Mizzou and Ole Miss in that spot and why they had to put Alabama against a really bad Tennessee defense, all never know, but you are one for one. The Deep South's oldest rivalry is also taking place this weekend, 330 as well. Roberto Con Queso: Deep South oldest rivalry. Is that so it's a three thirty game today, or not today, but on Saturday. Is that we'll go Mississippi State and who were they playing? Mississippi and Ole Miss. No, L S U. Micaiah: L S U. it is not. the Deep South's oldest rivalry is Georgia Auburn, not to be confused with the South's oldest rivalry, which is North Carolina, Virginia. So just make a mental note of that. Roberto Con Queso: Love it. Micaiah: All right. Here are the ones that I don't think that you are going to get here. battle for the old brass hoop. Roberto Con Queso: For the old brass hoop. Micaiah: Mm-hmm. I will give you a hint, it is one of the games Roberto Con Queso: okay, let me hear. Micaiah: we're picking. Roberto Con Queso: I didn't well I didn't look at that either because I was I didn't I I didn't want to look at anything. Micaiah: okay. Okay, all right, all right, fair enough. Roberto Con Queso: So it's a game we're picking, so. Doesn't that not give us gonna help me? North who who's North Dakota State playing this weekend? Micaiah: You're on the right track with a kind of a lower level tier football game. It's actually in the D two ranks. It is Ferris State and Grand Valley State. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, wouldn't have gotten that. Micaiah: Wouldn't have gotten that. that is the battle for the old brass hoop. They are Arch nemesis. That is the number one D2 team going up against the number 13 D2 team there in Michigan. Battle for the victory bell is happening this weekend as well. I'm gonna give you a hint on this one. This is an ACC matchup. Roberto Con Queso: Victory Bell is Micaiah: There's a there's a road that connects these two schools that is called Tobacco Road, Duke, Roberto Con Queso: it's Duke, North Carolina. Micaiah: North Carolina. And then Battle on the Bayou should give you a hint. Roberto Con Queso: Which would tend to lead me towards LSU. Micaiah: It is not LSU. Roberto Con Queso: So then it would be two lane? Micaiah: they are two fun belt schools, I I think. I think they're both in the fun belt. Roberto Con Queso: So then we're looking what Louisiana Monroe and Louisiana Lafayette. Micaiah: Yes, that Louisiana Monroe, and they're playing Louisiana Tech this Roberto Con Queso: Lafayette? Yeah. Micaiah: this weekend. Close though, but I'll I'll give you Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: I'll give you a half a point. So those are all the rivalry games being played this weekend. I I'm a sucker for the college football rivalry game names. Ohio State's Michigan being called the game. That's just lame to me. Like, do better, right? Like third Saturday in October. People say that that's lame. I think it's just hilarious and really cool. 'Cause they play on the third Saturday in October. Deep South Solid Rivalry, Battle for the Victory Bell. Like even Battle for Paul Bunyan's axe, I think that's like Wisconsin, Minnesota. That's way better than just the game. Roberto Con Queso: Well that's that's the whole thing is Michigan Ohio State's just a rivalry. There's no trophy involved. Like, give us a trophy, you know, let's something, you know, should be the battle the battle for Toledo. Micaiah: the LSU Mississippi State River does not have a formal trophy name though the mascot or though the matchup is historically nicknamed Cowbells vs. Cajuns. Roberto Con Queso: Hmm. Interesting. Micaiah: So that's just a fun fact there. I just had to look that up because I thought that they were kind of rivals. All right, Robert, let's get into your college football playoff bracket. I'm sure it has changed a bunch because your number one team, Texas, fell. I'm sure you're Roberto Con Queso: Yep, yep. Micaiah: gonna move Alabama back. We won't argue about that this time, but I disagree with that. But we'll go from we'll move on. So give me, let's move look at your top, let's look at your bracket or your top. twelve. Roberto Con Queso: so number one, Georgia, which I Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: think is reasonable. number two, I have Ohio State. Okay, I fault them because they didn't lose. Number Micaiah: Yep. Roberto Con Queso: three, Notre Dame. Micaiah: So you move Notre Dame above Miami. Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Four is Miami. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Five, I'm putting BYU. Micaiah: Alright, you're gonna have to explain your reasoning with that one. Roberto Con Queso: So I'm putting them at five because Bama lost. So I didn't want I didn't want to move Bama up. I moved out I moved Indiana back Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: because Indiana's not like they're just not showing me anything. And then Bama, which ended up Bama just ended up being six. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: But I didn't want I didn't reward Bama, but I rewarded BYU. Just they didn't lose, they won, so they just kind of jump. that was just my reasoning there. Whether, you know, and it's one of those deals where whether Bama is better or not, I mean it's it's gonna write itself. Like it it's gonna fix itself. Yeah. Yeah. Micaiah: Yeah, it this all gets wor this all gets worked out in the washing machine. Absolutely. Roberto Con Queso: So yeah, go ahead. Everyone get mad. Go ahead and comment. they just give podcast stuff to everybody. That's fine. Get your own. Join Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: us. We'll talk. We don't care. Tuesdays from five until we're done. Join us. We're here. Micaiah: It's five until we're done, or whenever Rain Man can join us. Roberto Con Queso: Amen. Micaiah: okay, so you have so Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, BYU, Bama makes Roberto Con Queso: Bama Micaiah: six. Roberto Con Queso: six, Indiana seven. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Dropped Texas to eight. Micaiah: Okay, in front of old miss. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Ole Miss nine. Texas Tech ten. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Utah eleven. Micaiah: Ooh, okay. Roberto Con Queso: Boise State twelve. Micaiah: All right. No real qualms with that. I just wanna look up the rankings real quick. You pretty much have touched on every team in the AP top. I I I will say that the AP voters again just anger me. The fact that UCLA jumped up nine spots when they lost their quarterback and they won that game because they what because Oregon just, I don't know, decided not to figure out how to play football. But they've always done that. I yeah, I know. Roberto Con Queso: Well, they've they've done this all season because like Kentucky w Kentucky lost and then now they beat LSU and now they weren't ranked and now they're fifteen. So it's like Micaiah: And now they're fifteenth. I know. It's Roberto Con Queso: whatever. Micaiah: Yeah. all right. So that is your col week post week six college football bracket. The mostly college football team, fantasy team, picked up our first win last week or two weeks ago. Last week did we get two in a row? I was like really hoping we did. Roberto Con Queso: No. No. Last last week we lost by was that seventeen? Yeah, seventeen. Micaiah: Okay. 'Cause Jeremiah Smith only had two touchdowns. I was hoping. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. And Arch had a really bad game too. So it kinda I mean, Arch still got twenty four 'cause he still had he still had three touchdowns. But Micaiah: Damon Williams is just killing us, isn't he? Roberto Con Queso: Well, the big the big winner for for the other team was the Oklahoma kicker. So 'cause he had Micaiah: They're kicker. Roberto Con Queso: he had a bunch of points. let's see. Micaiah: Liam Dottery, come on. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: All right. fair is fair, I suppose. Roberto Con Queso: But yes, Demon Damon Williams is a hundred percent killing us. Micaiah: All right, so we are one and five on the year. Our our team is one and five on the year, so not great. funny names, we didn't add anyone to the list. My wife hasn't added any game any names to list. So Robert, you got highest ticket and lowest ticket? Roberto Con Queso: lowest ticket, Rutgers, Maryland. I would not want to go to this game. Micaiah: Yeah, I'm not surprised by that. Roberto Con Queso: It is seven dollars. It is not gonna be a good one. So Micaiah: The only way I would go to that game is if I w live five minutes from the stadium and could walk. Roberto Con Queso: I would take that seven dollars and I would go to Dairy Queen and get their seven dollar meal deal. That's what I would do. Micaiah: okay, so Robert's not even going for seven dollars. Fair enough. Roberto Con Queso: the most expensive. a little surprising. I thought it would have been Bama, Tennessee, Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: but it is Ohio State, Indiana. For a staggering four hundred Micaiah: Yes, it is. Roberto Con Queso: and sixty two dollars. Micaiah: Lot of expensive games. So you mentioned Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Micaiah: Ohio State, Indiana, and a third Saturday in October. Deep South's oldest rivalries two forty five as well. Washington State, Oregon State, 251. A little surprising there in the pack twelve. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Well what else do they got to do out there? Micaiah: Notre Dame BYU four sixty seven. Roberto Con Queso: is it? Micaiah: It is. So again, maybe that changed since you last looked. We've had that happen a few times on the on the sh Roberto Con Queso: I'm also gonna penalize him 'cause they can't have booze at the game. So you you automatically lose like seven dollars. It's in Utah. Micaiah: Okay, all right, fair enough. They lost seven dollars to Utah. Oklahoma State Houston, forty three dollars. Houston has a fan problem. Did you see their attendance last week? Or two weeks ago? Roberto Con Queso: They've yeah, but they've always had a fan. They're more of it's the whole basketball school, football school kind of deal. Micaiah: They're bad though, man. Like show up and support though. Your football team's good. I would understand if the football team was one in five or Michigan, but holy cow, show up and support your 20th ranked Cougars. get out there, Houston fans. All right. So that was highest ticket, lowest ticket. Rainman's games they don't want you to watch. He says, I am still Rain Man. Suck it, both of you. Again, you're not getting an apology. Okay. Be on Roberto Con Queso: Nope. Micaiah: the podcast more than two weeks, weeks in a row. And he does listen to these podcasts, so I'll give him a little credit for that. Washington he has Washington Purdue on there. Why? I don't know. Purdue's good. Washington's not. That's it. UNLV Air Force. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: I almost put this game on our games to pick because this is a Mountain West game and this is like I think they're both undefeated in the Mountain West. So this is going to be this is three thirty on CBS Sports Network. And they are two and in the Mountain West is UNLV and one in two and two and one is Air Force. So again that that's a pretty good game and then TCU and Baylor. Is it just me? Like I I understand Baylor's good, but like When I watch Baylor, they they're not as good as the I don't see a team that is good as their record. Does that make sense? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. No, I s yeah, I know what you're saying. Micaiah: This is seven PM on FS one. T T C used two and three and and two in the big twelve. Baylor's 2-0 Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, well. Micaiah: and 4-1 with the one loss to Auburn. Okay. You know what? Sure. That's fine. So those are Rain Man's games they don't want you to watch. I'm not saying don't watch these games, but I'm saying that at 7 PM, if you wait a half an hour, there are going to be two. Roberto Con Queso: I just I wouldn't want to watch it. Micaiah: There are two more, way more fascinating games going to be on. Robert's just, you know what? I'm going to tell the truth here. I'm not going to want to watch these games. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, I'm not gonna watch it. Micaiah: All right, fair enough. Robert, the late game this weekend, Nebraska at Oregon, 11 p.m. Roberto Con Queso: How crazy is that? Micaiah: on Fox. Roberto Con Queso: 'Cause that's actually a game where like I I would I would I would want to watch, yes. Micaiah: That you might wanna wa this should be on Simeon's This should be on Simeon's list. What is he doing? Roberto Con Queso: But then it's like, well, actually you have to see you have to pretty much ruin your entire Sunday because you have to stay up to watch this game. Micaiah: Yeah, I might record it and watch it Sunday. Like, Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: you know, so you can fast forward. if the game turns out to be good. All right. Indiana, Ohio State, who you got? Roberto Con Queso: Ohio State. Micaiah: I've made sweeping declarations that I can't pick against Kirk Sinetti. And because of that, I'm gonna have to just back Indiana. I don't want to. I do think Ohio State wins this game, but until proven otherwise, I have to go with Kirk Cinetti. He has not proven that to me yet. He may on Saturday, but I'm going to take Indiana. Simeon also chooses Indiana. So Robert, by the way, Robert's cooking. He went two and four last week and still. has a five-game lead over myself. Mississippi State LSU. Who you got? Roberto Con Queso: I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the upset f I'm gonna take Mississippi. Micaiah: Okay, you're gonna take Miss State. I think that Lane Kiffin all week, he's going to hear that he just does it. He should have gone for it on fourth down, shouldn't have had it. I also think LSU's defense is better than Mississippi State's defense. They're also at home, so give me LSU there. Roberto Con Queso: Very fair. Micaiah: Georgia State JMU. Roberto Con Queso: JMU Micaiah: Okay. I'm also gonna go with JMU as well. They're at home. I'm running down this track of having to owe Simeon $5 because JMU just will continue to win and win and win. But you know, you win some, you lose some. They ain't always home runs, to quote Morgan Wallen. Third Saturday in October, Alabama 10 is C. Who you got? Roberto Con Queso: by multiple touchdowns. Micaiah: I also have Bama by a couple scores. However, I think this game is closer than people think because Tennessee's got a real defense and a real defensive line. But I think Keelan Russell learns from his mistakes. They figure out some things to help him out to make him more consistent, not so roller coaster up and down. Give me Alabama on the road to continue to kind of dominate this rivalry. Moving forward. Simeon is also going with Alabama, and of course he went with JMU. Mizzou and Old Miss. Roberto Con Queso: Mizou. Micaiah: dude, because that's who I'm taking. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: I'm also taking Mazoo. I think they have the better defense and the better second half offense, especially the second half rushing offense. And this is without Amon Hardy, who led the nation last year in rushing. So give me Mazoo. Simeon is taking Mazoo as well. So we're all going to do fabulous, or we're all going to do very terrible this coming weekend outside Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: of Indiana, Ohio State. Notre Dame BYU expect a very, I would say, mid twenties, low scoring game with both these defenses. Who you got? Roberto Con Queso: I'm I'm just gonna go at Notre Dame. Micaiah: I I want to be different from you to Roberto Con Queso: I don't Micaiah: play catch up, but I can't. Roberto Con Queso: No, because you're gonna end up being way further down. Micaiah: Yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna be way further down. I'm I've I've lost a game to you already with the Ohio State Indiana pick. but I'm taking Notre Dame. Simeon's also taking Notre Dame. Oklahoma State Houston expect a lot of points in Houston and not a lot of fans. Who you got? Roberto Con Queso: I'm gonna go Houston. Micaiah: I have an offense crush on Oklahoma State right now with Drew Mestimaker and Caleb Hawkins and Wyatt Young. I I just love it so much. I'm going to watch them. They because Michigan's so bad on offense, my attention's going to every other team that can actually put together a good offense. So give me Oklahoma State here as well. So at least we differ there. Simeon's also going with Oklahoma State. D2, the two-time defending national champions, Ferris State, is going to Grand Valley State. me and Carrie, or Carrie has a relative at Grand Valley who's a student at Grand Valley State. This is three o'clock on some streaming thing, Flow Sports. So if you want to watch that, you can tune in there. Ferris State, Grand Valley State, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: Fairest state Micaiah: Okay, I'm also going to roll with the defend two time defending national champions. This is also where Trinidad Chambliss was at school before he transferred to Old Miss. All right. And then for kicks and gigs to finish out the show, we are going to make toilet bowl selections. Whether or not they count against the overall standings, I will leave that up to you and Rain Man. But these are. Roberto Con Queso: I here we go. So my theory. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: If you get it right, you lose a point. Micaiah: Okay. If you get it right, you lose a point. So you're Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. See I you so in sense you don't want to be right, I just ripped this off my desk. Micaiah: So you're trying to be wrong. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Okay. Penn State, Michigan. Michigan. Micaiah: So if I'm trying to be wrong, right? So if Penn State wins, I don't lose any points, right? If I pick, Roberto Con Queso: You you wanna you wanna pick the you wanna pick the loser. Micaiah: I want to pick the loser. So I'm gonna pick Penn State. Simeon, I don't know if Simeon agreed. Simeon didn't agree to this either, but hey, he's not on the podcast. So bummer on Simeon. all right, Penn State, Michigan, you pick Michigan, I pick Penn State. By the way, toilet bowl, these are winless in conference. matchups. Both teams have to have zero conference wins to be in the toilet bowl. Kansas, Kansas State, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: Kansas State. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: This is not gonna pan out like any good at all. Micaiah: I'm gonna go with Kansas if I'm trying to be wrong. If I'm trying to be wrong, I'm gonna go with Kansas. I think Kansas State wins the game. this is gonna Okay. Well, we'll re we'll regroup next week on what we're gonna do here. Ruck Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: the cheapest game of the weekend, Rutgers versus Maryland. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: Simeon picked Kansas State. He also picked Maryland and Penn State. So Roberto Con Queso: Gimme ruckers. Micaiah: Okay. You're going Rutgers. This one I honestly have no idea if I give me give me Ruckers too. Roberto Con Queso: An old fashioned tie. Micaiah: Give me Rutgers too. I I think Ruckers wit wit yeah, give me the old fashioned college tie. Okay. Tulsa Roberto Con Queso: Ha Micaiah: rice. Simeon went with rice. Roberto Con Queso: I'll go Tulsa. Micaiah: I will if I'm trying to be wrong, I will also go with Tulsa. Rice, I think, has one win on the year. And then Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Roberto Con Queso: Damn. Micaiah: This was my best idea ever. Roberto Con Queso: Arkansas? Micaiah: Okay. Okay. So I'm tr yeah. Roberto Con Queso: We're gonna end up flip flopping this on like Thursday. Micaiah: So I'm so I'm trying to be wrong. So I think if I'm trying to be wrong, I think Vanderbilt's gonna win, so I'm also gonna choose Arkansas. Okay. and then finally Arkansas State and Southern Miss. Roberto Con Queso: I have southern miss. Micaiah: Okay. I'm just gonna be different and go with Roberto Con Queso: I was like, I don't know. Micaiah: our and go with Arkansas State. Arkansas State. All right. So we're gonna have to see how that all works out. If we're trying to be wrong, Robert, you picked Michigan, not Penn State. All right. Well, toilet bowl. Those are the toilet bowl selection. So, I wanted to give one quick shout-out, and then we are we absolutely are going to get out of here, everyone. The for as much love as Jeremiah Smith is getting, we need to give equal amount of love to Jesse Legree, true freshman in Corvallis at Oregon State. He is leading the country in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns and doing it on 10 less receptions. He ha is Every time he catches the ball, he is going for at least 24 and a half yards. He is downright electric. So, Jesse Legree, shout out to you out there in Corvallis. Absolutely 110%. and that's gonna do it for mostly college football here. Thank you everyone for being here. Thank you for listening. Make sure you wash your hands, you filthy animals. We'll see you next week. Enjoy week seven of college football. God bless. Peace out.
