- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York. He's on the game The Mark Simone
- 0:03Speaker 1: Show on seventor Hey, we'll pick calls eight hundred three
- 0:08Speaker 1: to two one zero seven pence number, the Bill Ackman
- 0:12Speaker 1: pickup line. May I meet you well? Jacqueline carl just
- 0:17Speaker 1: said if a guy walked up to her and said that,
- 0:19Speaker 1: she'd think there was something wrong with him and would run.
- 0:21Speaker 1: So he's onto something with the politeness and the good grammar.
- 0:27Speaker 1: So maybe come up with a variation of it. Excuse me,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry to interrupt. May I just say hello? Still
- 0:36Speaker 1: sounds lame. I don't try something like that. Let's go
- 0:39Speaker 1: to Paul in Beth Page. Paul, how you doing.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I'm doing great, mar good morning. I wanted to ask
- 0:46Speaker 2: you about Mondani with this free transit with the buses
- 0:49Speaker 2: and stuff. Let's just say hypothetically, he tells Tish that
- 0:54Speaker 2: don't enforce it like you would force spitting in the subway.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Then he's getting his Yeah, you could do that right now.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Half the people don't pay the subway or the buses.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Half the people jump the turnstile or just get out
- 1:07Speaker 1: and don't pay. In drivers, they they don't enforce that now,
- 1:09Speaker 1: so the people that want to ride for free or
- 1:11Speaker 1: riding for free free buses. It's just a gimmick. If
- 1:15Speaker 1: you had a major massive affordability crisis the bus prices,
- 1:20Speaker 1: that's that's not going to solve it, obviously, it's just
- 1:21Speaker 1: a little gimmicky thing. Let's go to Cheryl in Monmouth County. Cheryl,
- 1:26Speaker 1: how you doing good?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Mark? How are you? I listened to you all the time.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I love you on couslo and everything. I'm calling Now,
- 1:33Speaker 3: let me ask.
- 1:34Speaker 1: You a personal question. If you lived in Connecticut, you'd say,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm from this town, I'm from Westport, I'm from oh Okay, Danby.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But New Jersey people they identify themselves by the county.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Why is that? I don't know I'm from Bergen County.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Why don't they just say what town they're in?
- 1:51Speaker 3: You know, I did it because I didn't want too
- 1:53Speaker 3: much information out.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We think we're following.
- 1:57Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, whatever, it's not it's not important anyway.
- 2:01Speaker 3: This is what is important, and I feel passionate about it.
- 2:05Speaker 3: And I thought, gee, maybe I'm sitting in my car
- 2:08Speaker 3: and I'm listening to you. I'm saying, let me do it, Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 3: go ahead, this I'm Dami, We're going to talk about
- 2:18Speaker 3: all the things that he's saying that are so anti American.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And the thing is, I did a research and from
- 2:29Speaker 3: my education, I remember a lot and I attempted to
- 2:34Speaker 3: notify a leaf. Stephonic and President Trump. Now I'm calling you,
- 2:41Speaker 3: and I know you're connected. I know. What's the point,
- 2:43Speaker 3: Okay nineteen nineteen forty, Amma Goldman, We.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Got to tell me the point. Tell me the point.
- 2:52Speaker 1: What's the point?
- 2:53Speaker 3: The point is there's precedent for deporting him.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Well, there is a committee working on that. They're going
- 2:59Speaker 1: over his application.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Listen, Eisenhower nineteen, Yeah, we.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Understand all this. You can. You can deport all the
- 3:07Speaker 1: people you want. Yeah. Eisenhower ran Operation Wetback. They use buses, planes, trains.
- 3:12Speaker 1: They deported about a million people in a year. But
- 3:15Speaker 1: they are looking at mom, Donnie, if you lied in
- 3:17Speaker 1: any way on his citizenship application, his visa, anything, and
- 3:22Speaker 1: there's a couple of people looking at that, looking to
- 3:24Speaker 1: get him revoke his citizenship. That's possible. They're also looking
- 3:28Speaker 1: at foreign campaign donations. They keep saying they're looking. So far,
- 3:32Speaker 1: they've come up with nothing, and it's getting a little late.
- 3:35Speaker 1: But they're looking at that. If they can find he
- 3:36Speaker 1: accepted foreign money knowingly, they can still remove him, believe
- 3:41Speaker 1: it or not. Let's go to Chipper and Stony Point. Chipper,
- 3:44Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Him? Mark?
- 3:47Speaker 1: How are you good?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Okay, Harry, I just got I just like to know three.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Oh you can't pick three favorite It's impossible, No, you could.
- 4:02Speaker 1: He couldn't do it. You know. When I used to
- 4:04Speaker 1: do the Sinatra Show, every great singer in the world
- 4:07Speaker 1: was a guest, and I asked everyone to pick their
- 4:09Speaker 1: favorite Sinatra song and never got the same answer twice.
- 4:12Speaker 1: There's a million. His two best albums we Small Hours
- 4:15Speaker 1: of the Morning. I don't have favorites, but his two
- 4:18Speaker 1: best albums we Small Hours of the Morning and Only
- 4:22Speaker 1: the Lonely, Those are the two. If you got to
- 4:24Speaker 1: start somewhere, start with those two albums. And obviously, I
- 4:29Speaker 1: mean it's incredible body of work. One hundred albums recorded,
- 4:34Speaker 1: fourteen hundred songs. That's not the most albums, by the way.
- 4:38Speaker 1: The most elefant Cheryl one hundred and sixty six albums,
- 4:42Speaker 1: but the all time record was Bing Crosby two hundred
- 4:44Speaker 1: albums over his career. Let's go to Richard and Bay
- 4:49Speaker 1: Shore Richard. How you doing.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I'm doing well.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Mark.
- 4:52Speaker 4: You know, Kansas City had free busses, but now they're
- 4:55Speaker 4: going back to charging feares and the bus driver's rule
- 4:59Speaker 4: four because unless you're like thirty, some other of them
- 5:02Speaker 4: were assaulted when they had a fair it almost never happened.
- 5:06Speaker 4: They had to hire guards in Kansas City, and then
- 5:09Speaker 4: they had to hire armed guards, which courts them millions
- 5:12Speaker 4: of dollars. So the whole thing, you know, and obviously, yes,
- 5:17Speaker 4: the homeless, the drunks, the druggies, they used the bus
- 5:20Speaker 4: as as their hangout.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we know, it doesn't work. It never works. It's
- 5:24Speaker 1: never worked anywhere. It's free stuff. And affordability crisis, there
- 5:29Speaker 1: is one. It seems to only be in the blue
- 5:31Speaker 1: cities where they have this affordability crisis. But one of
- 5:35Speaker 1: the reasons it's so expensive to live in New York.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It's like the greatest city in the world. It's really expensive.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You know, if you go to a Westchester you know, Scarsdale, Oh,
- 5:45Speaker 1: it's really expensive to live there. But you ever see
- 5:47Speaker 1: what it looks like. It's beautiful Mount Vernon not so expensive,
- 5:51Speaker 1: but you see what it looks like. It doesn't look
- 5:53Speaker 1: like Scarsdale. You have that everywhere. Go to that coffee
- 5:59Speaker 1: shop on the corner, not that expensive, but they'll walk
- 6:02Speaker 1: a block away and going to Tiffany's. Wooh, is it expense.
- 6:05Speaker 1: There's an affordability crisis in there, but that's because it's
- 6:07Speaker 1: good stuff. Hey, when we come back, we'll get to
- 6:10Speaker 1: Johnny Carson. The Ultimate Definitive Book on Johnny Carson is out.
- 6:15Speaker 1: We'll talk to the author next on seven to ten
