Transcript
- 0:08Speaker 1: Sure, it's time.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hella hellallo, Welcome to the not even Nice Show. I'm
- 0:18Speaker 2: your host, rab Shooter, and it is Thursday, which means
- 0:21Speaker 2: our dear friend Mark Lupo joins us. Hey, Loopy, are
- 0:23Speaker 2: you there?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Luy lewis here? Hey?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Right, gossip before the show. Don't worry, We're not going
- 0:29Speaker 2: to leave you out. Everything we just thought it's about
- 0:31Speaker 2: will be in the show. It's going to be a
- 0:33Speaker 2: good show. Let's jump in. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:35Speaker 2: It is tea time big exclusive. At the top of
- 0:38Speaker 2: the show, Chris Jenna has declared war on Anna Winter.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Anna's Winter is the longtime editor in chief are Vogue.
- 0:45Speaker 2: The Kardashian Ball is coming, so Ada Winter oversees the
- 0:50Speaker 2: met Gala every year. You know it. They call it Oscars.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Fashion's Oscars, the biggest night of fashion. I've been looking
- 0:57Speaker 2: enough to go a couple of times, and it really
- 0:58Speaker 2: is extraordinary. You see the steps outside the Metropolitan Museum,
- 1:02Speaker 2: all these celebrities climbing those steps. Well, Chris Jenna now
- 1:06Speaker 2: wants a piece of the action. And after the success,
- 1:08Speaker 2: and it was a success, her seventieth Pirty Party had
- 1:12Speaker 2: a guest list that was fabulous, it was like the
- 1:16Speaker 2: oscars after she got those together for her seventieth. Now
- 1:20Speaker 2: she wants into the party business, and I'm told the
- 1:23Speaker 2: Kardashians Chris are talking about having a Kardashian Ball in
- 1:27Speaker 2: La to rival the met Ball. It won't be the
- 1:29Speaker 2: same night, but it will be an La equivalent of
- 1:33Speaker 2: the met Ball, except it will have the sparkle of
- 1:37Speaker 2: the Cardashians. Now I know that it was very easy.
- 1:41Speaker 2: It's very easy to make fun of the Kardashians, to
- 1:44Speaker 2: really count them out, to roll your eyes where Vogue
- 1:46Speaker 2: magazine Annah Winter is so so respectable, It really really is. However,
- 1:52Speaker 2: who would you rather have dinner with drinks with somebody
- 1:56Speaker 2: that's a little outrageous and ferny or somebody that's kind
- 1:59Speaker 2: of a little bit I know who I would pick.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I think this sounds like an amazing idea. I would
- 2:05Speaker 2: watch it. These balls go back in American history. Truman
- 2:09Speaker 2: Capodi had his famous black and white ball. Dare I
- 2:12Speaker 2: mention his name? But did he had his white ball too?
- 2:15Speaker 2: We shouldn't talk about that. But these balls, if they
- 2:17Speaker 2: were televised, if they had an artist, if we saw
- 2:20Speaker 2: the arrivals, I think they're onto something and you can
- 2:24Speaker 2: never count out Chris Jenna, what do you think?
- 2:27Speaker 3: I absolutely love this and I will tell you why.
- 2:29Speaker 3: The world is changing, rob Everything is changing quickly and
- 2:32Speaker 3: we have to acknowledge that what worked in the past
- 2:35Speaker 3: is not working today. And the rules that Vogue has
- 2:39Speaker 3: no pictures in the bathroom, you're going to be exquirted out.
- 2:41Speaker 3: We're tired of that. We want to see selfie is
- 2:43Speaker 3: We want to have access to everything. And one thing
- 2:46Speaker 3: that Kardashians do give us is access to what's going
- 2:48Speaker 3: on in their lives. And I will say, you know,
- 2:51Speaker 3: the Vogue, it's still a relevant event, right, but every
- 2:54Speaker 3: passing year it becomes less and us relevant less. Big
- 2:57Speaker 3: stars are showing up. Chris's party was the biggest networking
- 3:02Speaker 3: event of the world. Like every billionaire, every major artist
- 3:06Speaker 3: was there. This is incredible. The power she has is
- 3:08Speaker 3: truly incredible.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, the power she has. Member Mark. Maybe fifteen years ago,
- 3:13Speaker 2: the Kardashians couldn't get into the met Ball. They were
- 3:16Speaker 2: not inviting them, actually banned. When I was in my
- 3:20Speaker 2: PR days, they had trouble finding a publicist. They went
- 3:23Speaker 2: round all the A list publicists, the ones that had
- 3:26Speaker 2: big stars and we didn't want them, and in the
- 3:28Speaker 2: end they ended up with a fantastic publicist, but we
- 3:31Speaker 2: all looked down Anne.
- 3:32Speaker 1: No, this is a bit.
- 3:33Speaker 2: When she took them on, we were like, she was
- 3:35Speaker 2: the smart one, she was the one that realized the future.
- 3:38Speaker 2: And it made her into a power publicist overnight because
- 3:41Speaker 2: she had the Kardashians. And so I think two magazines
- 3:44Speaker 2: didn't want to put them on the cover. It was
- 3:46Speaker 2: below Us, it was below Vogue, It's below validy Fair.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Oh no, this is where the sales are. This is
- 3:54Speaker 2: where the excitement is. I don't like snobs. It's one
- 3:59Speaker 2: of my your pets. I just don't like it. I
- 4:03Speaker 2: get some people think they're better because they work at
- 4:06Speaker 2: a much more, much more smart adlette. They've won Politzer prizes.
- 4:11Speaker 2: We're all doing the same thing, Mark to to a
- 4:13Speaker 2: certain degree. I was watching a morning show this morning,
- 4:16Speaker 2: Oh Gossip, and I loved it, all celebrities gossip. I
- 4:19Speaker 2: was watching the Coming Attractions to CBS. I was watched
- 4:21Speaker 2: I Love Survivor. So I was watching Survivor last night
- 4:23Speaker 2: on CBS and they had a promo for Gail King show,
- 4:26Speaker 2: and all they promos were celebrities and gossip, But I
- 4:29Speaker 2: was like, this is fabulous, this is where we are.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Why do we mark? Why do we.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Still pretend that we don't love gossip, that we don't
- 4:39Speaker 2: love celebrities, and if we do, were lesser, we look
- 4:42Speaker 2: down on people who stand up. I feel like I'm
- 4:44Speaker 2: in AA and I have to say I'm a shooter
- 4:46Speaker 2: and I love gossip.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Why do we do that?
- 4:49Speaker 3: It's so funny and that's why it means you get
- 4:50Speaker 3: along so well because we both are categoricals, like very
- 4:55Speaker 3: successful people. We've we've done great things in our careers,
- 4:57Speaker 3: but we know what it is. We're in on the joke.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Okay it is, but it is a celebrity gossip. We all,
- 5:03Speaker 3: you know, we all enjoy it, but we admit it.
- 5:04Speaker 3: We just say flat out like we are you know,
- 5:06Speaker 3: we're in for it and we're going to say it.
- 5:08Speaker 3: And I think some people just think it's lowbrow or not,
- 5:11Speaker 3: you know whatever, and we don't care because we're making
- 5:13Speaker 3: money off doing this and having fun with it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's I think what makes a successful mark.
- 5:20Speaker 2: My neighbor in my building is Jack Schlossburg. He is
- 5:23Speaker 2: JFK's Manson. His grandmother was Jackie Oh. Yesterday he announced
- 5:28Speaker 2: he's going to run for Congress. And I bumped into
- 5:30Speaker 2: Jack in the elevator and he's a lovely guy and
- 5:32Speaker 2: we were chatting away. And what I love about Jack
- 5:34Speaker 2: is everybody has already written him off because he's not
- 5:36Speaker 2: going to have a traditional campaign. He's going to campaign
- 5:39Speaker 2: on TikTok. He's going to campaign like he'll sign up
- 5:42Speaker 2: to dating apps like Grinder a match and campaign there. Like.
- 5:45Speaker 2: He's a really untraditional person. Now, some of my friends
- 5:48Speaker 2: who are a little bit more traditional think this is
- 5:50Speaker 2: disgusting and he should be sitting down with sixteen minutes
- 5:54Speaker 2: in the New York Times and I'm like, no, no, no,
- 5:56Speaker 2: he should make a cameo, I'll watch What Happens Live
- 6:00Speaker 2: with all.
- 6:00Speaker 1: The gossip magazines.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He should be shirtless on the roof. He should do
- 6:04Speaker 2: TikTok videos by the river.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And I said, that's the future.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now. We were not a political show. We try so
- 6:10Speaker 2: hard not to talk about politics. But I think the
- 6:12Speaker 2: White House at the moment has changed the rules too.
- 6:14Speaker 2: If the White House is doing memes and TikTok, we
- 6:18Speaker 2: might not like it, but that's where the culture is now.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And I see the magazines, I see the TV shows.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I see these outlets that are resisting it, marked that
- 6:28Speaker 2: don't want to do They'll be gone in a couple
- 6:30Speaker 2: of years. You got to jump in. Wendy Williams did
- 6:33Speaker 2: this mark. Everybody looked down their nose at the Wendy
- 6:35Speaker 2: Williams show. Everybody in television, well, they all wanted to
- 6:39Speaker 2: be on the show, but if you talked about the
- 6:41Speaker 2: show to them privately, they would roll their eyes. I
- 6:45Speaker 2: was the only one who has said I'd rather be
- 6:47Speaker 2: on Wendy Williams than sixty minutes.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I love it.
- 6:51Speaker 3: It wasn't you know. At the time working there, it
- 6:53Speaker 3: felt as though it was people would say hell to
- 6:56Speaker 3: you or like really in seeming comments. But now you know,
- 6:59Speaker 3: looking back, I kind of show what a piece of
- 7:01Speaker 3: pop cultural history when I can't when he was and
- 7:05Speaker 3: we just in one of a minute at the time, you.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Just want to meet the time Kathilli gived. People made
- 7:09Speaker 2: fun of hers, and let's be honest, that fourth Hour
- 7:11Speaker 2: aren't the same with her.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It's not.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's not the same with that without Kathili. So leading
- 7:16Speaker 2: to what you love here, Stop being embarrassed. Stop calling
- 7:18Speaker 2: stuff a guilty pleasure. We have no guilt anymore. If
- 7:21Speaker 2: you want to listen to to a pop star that
- 7:24Speaker 2: nobody likes, if you want to listen to Britney Smiths,
- 7:25Speaker 2: knock yourself out and enjoy your life. Nobody else's business,
- 7:29Speaker 2: although it is our business about how you're going to
- 7:31Speaker 2: vote on this pole, that pole of the day, Christianna
- 7:35Speaker 2: declares war on Anna Winter. Trust me, you're going to
- 7:38Speaker 2: hear this first here that the Kardashian Ball is coming.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I can't wait. I think so great.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Would you rather go to the Netball or the Kardashian Ball?
- 7:51Speaker 2: You're only going to get one invite this year, Mark,
- 7:53Speaker 2: just which one? Would you rather go to? The met
- 7:57Speaker 2: Ball is extraordinary? I'm not putting it down. It's I
- 8:00Speaker 2: wish everybody could experience a night like that? Or would
- 8:03Speaker 2: you rather go to the Kardashian Ball?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Hey?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rabaut.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Facebook page is naughty Yosip. I'm sure to check back
- 8:12Speaker 2: to morrow.
- 8:13Speaker 1: To hear your results. Hey, Lupie, what are you working
- 8:16Speaker 1: on all right?
- 8:17Speaker 3: So Britney Spears is feeling paranoid over her sons. That's
- 8:21Speaker 3: because she believes they're spies for Kevin Fetter Line. Oh oh, okay,
- 8:25Speaker 3: let me explain this going on here. So Britney Spears
- 8:29Speaker 3: is now deeply suspicious of her teenage sons sudden attempts
- 8:32Speaker 3: to reconnect, and she's convinced they're reporting everything back to
- 8:35Speaker 3: their father, Kevin. Ugh, so Britney quld be right, She
- 8:38Speaker 3: could be right. So Brittany wants to believe they miss her.
- 8:41Speaker 3: She's terrified that Kevin is pulling the strings, and she
- 8:44Speaker 3: thinks every call, every I miss you, is being analyzed.
- 8:47Speaker 3: One of our sources is saying Brittany has long accused
- 8:49Speaker 3: federal line up manipulating the boys during their estrangement, and
- 8:52Speaker 3: his new memoir You Thought You Knew has left her
- 8:55Speaker 3: feeling raw and betrayed all over again. Now, sources are
- 8:59Speaker 3: saying she feels like Kevin is using the kids as
- 9:02Speaker 3: ponds first to her hurt now to monitor her. And
- 9:06Speaker 3: while Kevin's claims she supports the reunion, Brittany has reportedly
- 9:09Speaker 3: switched into full self protection mode. She's keeping conversations short
- 9:13Speaker 3: and guarded, and she doesn't know who to trust, not
- 9:16Speaker 3: even her own children.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Mark, can we cut her a break? At some point?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Everything with Brittany. Well, I think she's right to feel
- 9:24Speaker 2: this way because I read the book, and the book
- 9:27Speaker 2: is full of quotes from the kids after visiting their mom.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So after they visit their mom, they go home and
- 9:32Speaker 2: tell their dad, and he wrote them down and put
- 9:35Speaker 2: them in a book ten years later. Shame on him.
- 9:38Speaker 2: But there's some truth here. Who do you trust? I
- 9:40Speaker 2: would hate you always think growing up, I'd love to
- 9:43Speaker 2: be rich and famous. But the few famous people that
- 9:46Speaker 2: I know don't have very good lives, and they can't.
- 9:49Speaker 2: They don't know how to trust anybody because so many
- 9:51Speaker 2: people in their lives are on the payroll. And so
- 9:55Speaker 2: I do get really suspicious here. Brittany has paid Kevin
- 9:58Speaker 2: child support for those kids a long time, and then
- 10:01Speaker 2: the minute that child's support stopped, he put out the book,
- 10:04Speaker 2: And so I don't think that's a coincidence either. I'm
- 10:07Speaker 2: sick of all these people using Britney spears. It makes
- 10:09Speaker 2: me so sad for her. Yes, she needs a lot
- 10:11Speaker 2: of help. I'm not gonna say Britney's in good shape.
- 10:13Speaker 2: She's not. She's in terrible shape. But there's no one
- 10:16Speaker 2: to help her. And now that she's lost trust in
- 10:18Speaker 2: her children, how can we expect her to trust a therapist,
- 10:22Speaker 2: a conservator, a lawyer, anybody that's gonna want to help her,
- 10:25Speaker 2: She's not gonna trust. And if I'd lived the life
- 10:28Speaker 2: that Britney had led, I understand Mark, I wouldn't trust
- 10:30Speaker 2: anybody either.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Awful.
- 10:32Speaker 3: It's awful, And I think to your point, you know,
- 10:34Speaker 3: living in New York City, for example, we can walk
- 10:37Speaker 3: around and be anonymous and no one knows where we are,
- 10:39Speaker 3: and we can do whatever we want and no one cares,
- 10:41Speaker 3: and it just feels so nice to have that freedom.
- 10:43Speaker 3: And I feel like Britney's life has become so small
- 10:45Speaker 3: and so isolated, and now even her own kids, she's
- 10:49Speaker 3: not sure if she can trust. And I feel like
- 10:51Speaker 3: that must make you just feel out of control and lonely,
- 10:54Speaker 3: and it just it really kills me. She does not
- 10:57Speaker 3: deserve this.
- 10:57Speaker 2: It does some nights that I go out with Bruce
- 10:59Speaker 2: and friends, and if a famous friend of ours is
- 11:02Speaker 2: in town, I'm always like, oh, should invite him, And
- 11:04Speaker 2: we often don't because it would just ruin the evening,
- 11:07Speaker 2: not just with security, but when somebody famous turns up,
- 11:10Speaker 2: the whole conversation changes towards them and We're no longer
- 11:13Speaker 2: talking about just their lives or what happened. We're talking
- 11:15Speaker 2: about their career. Like you imagine if you and me
- 11:17Speaker 2: Mark were sitting for dinner and Mariah Carey joined us, Like,
- 11:21Speaker 2: the dinner's going to be very different after her. It
- 11:24Speaker 2: could be a lot of fun, but it's going to
- 11:26Speaker 2: be a very different night. And so be careful how
- 11:29Speaker 2: you put the recipe together here. I understand, Brittany, it's
- 11:32Speaker 2: really really lonely. I don't know the solution to this.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I don't know how she makes friends. I don't know.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I wish she was working again, because she'd meet people
- 11:38Speaker 2: on the movie sets or in the recording studios. Like
- 11:40Speaker 2: you and me Mark, we met through work. You often
- 11:42Speaker 2: become friends with people you work with. In fact, I
- 11:45Speaker 2: find the biggest joy of work. It's not necessarily the
- 11:48Speaker 2: work or the money, it's the friendships.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I've met really great people doing this crazy life, this crazy,
- 11:54Speaker 2: crazy job. Oh, Brittany, my heartbreaks. Okay, moving along.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I love this.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Kim Kardashian has dumped Megan because Meghan made Kim remove
- 12:03Speaker 2: all the photographs of her at the James Bond birthday
- 12:06Speaker 2: party for her mummy So if you remember, Kim put
- 12:08Speaker 2: up on Instagram some pictures of her with lots of
- 12:11Speaker 2: celebrities beyond saying me major Stars, Oprah, Mega, Markle Meghan
- 12:15Speaker 2: didn't like it. The pictures have been removed, and Kim
- 12:19Speaker 2: is now like what but really, girl, like, this was
- 12:24Speaker 2: a party. This was not a private affair. Somebody didn't
- 12:28Speaker 2: sneak in with a camera behind a bush, or somebody
- 12:31Speaker 2: didn't do something mean or you know, I like sometimes
- 12:33Speaker 2: it wasn't TMZ jumping out of a tree.
- 12:36Speaker 1: This was a party.
- 12:36Speaker 2: She was dressed beautifully, she was in full hair and makeup.
- 12:39Speaker 2: There was no need to remove these pictures. I've seen
- 12:42Speaker 2: the pictures. Mark. If she was covered in boogies, Like,
- 12:46Speaker 2: if she was covered in snot, I'd say, oh, please
- 12:48Speaker 2: don't post that picture. But she wasn't. If I was
- 12:50Speaker 2: out with you, Mark and we took a picture and
- 12:52Speaker 2: both look cute in it, I'd post it. And if
- 12:55Speaker 2: you said we remove that picture because on my privacy,
- 12:57Speaker 2: I'd be like, oh, girl, like, get over yourself. Kim
- 13:01Speaker 2: is not into this, and so once again the markles Megan.
- 13:07Speaker 2: You gotta learn how to treat people well, because if
- 13:11Speaker 2: you bite them you're not gonna be invited to the
- 13:14Speaker 2: party anymore. Buddy things.
- 13:16Speaker 3: I mean to quote our friend Dylan. They have become
- 13:19Speaker 3: serial pests. These two are so annoying and they I
- 13:24Speaker 3: would not have them at my party. And I was
- 13:26Speaker 3: doing a little bit of digging earlier and people magazines
- 13:28Speaker 3: are reporting that. And they usually are so talent friendly.
- 13:32Speaker 3: They kind of are the mouth They are very very self.
- 13:34Speaker 3: They're the mouthpiece of a lot of these celebrities. And
- 13:36Speaker 3: apparently Meghan and Harry checked a box that said, I
- 13:40Speaker 3: do not, you know, allow my image to be recorded.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. You were attending the biggest party, Like ever,
- 13:47Speaker 3: what do you think Beyonce is being photographed and it's
- 13:50Speaker 3: okay with it? Beyonce is so private. You can't have
- 13:53Speaker 3: it both ways.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Please don't have it both You can't have it both fries.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Now I know because I have a couple of friends
- 13:59Speaker 2: who are actually at the past say they were filming
- 14:01Speaker 2: it for the Kardashians. So that's why the box was ticked.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It was so that you gave your rights to air
- 14:06Speaker 2: on Hulu. When you go to the Oscars or you
- 14:08Speaker 2: go to the Valley Fair party, people take photographs. They
- 14:12Speaker 2: might not be camera crews inside the room. I think
- 14:14Speaker 2: if you bring a camera crew in, like if you
- 14:17Speaker 2: go to an MTV event, there's big signs up like this,
- 14:19Speaker 2: if you by entering the premises you were given permission
- 14:22Speaker 2: for your face to be used on the broadcast, there
- 14:24Speaker 2: were not signs up. But don't go to a Kardashian
- 14:28Speaker 2: party if you're not willing to be photographed. They are
- 14:30Speaker 2: the Kardashians. This is not a subtle private family.
- 14:34Speaker 1: What did you expect?
- 14:35Speaker 2: What did you expect? Okay, quickly, before we get a break,
- 14:38Speaker 2: we have some cute news about our friend Jennifer Aniston.
- 14:41Speaker 1: What is she up to?
- 14:42Speaker 3: I'm so happy for her. Jennifer Anderson is farn head
- 14:46Speaker 3: over heels for hypnotherapist Jim Curtis and is already talking
- 14:49Speaker 3: about a future together.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I know it's cute.
- 14:52Speaker 3: It's very cute. Jensays, she's never felt this way before.
- 14:55Speaker 3: He's warm, he's funny, and he's totally uninterested in Hollywood games.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I'm not sure about that.
- 15:00Speaker 2: But the couple.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Went to you know, became Instagram official this month when
- 15:06Speaker 3: Aniston posted a cozy black and white photo calling Jim
- 15:09Speaker 3: her love and her cherished, and according to those close
- 15:12Speaker 3: to the actress, the relationship is deep and quickly. They've
- 15:15Speaker 3: talked about marriage. Jen's genuinely opened and saying, I do again.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Oh, we love love, we love love. I want Jen
- 15:22Speaker 2: to be happy. I don't care if you're married or not,
- 15:24Speaker 2: that's up to you. But I just love this. I
- 15:26Speaker 2: hear is a good guy, Rachel. You could tell who

- 15:59Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Is this too soon? Let's have a look. Eighty percent
- 16:03Speaker 2: said yes, you don't want Beatrice to be punished for
- 16:06Speaker 2: the crimes of her terrible parents. Let's be clear here,

- 16:40Speaker 3: Oh wow, Taylor Swift and Miles Teller are laughing off
- 16:45Speaker 3: few rumors. They're still friends, Rob. That's right. Good the
- 16:49Speaker 3: internet is wrong this time. Taylor Swift, Miles Teller, along
- 16:53Speaker 3: with his wife Killy, they're still totally solid. Des By
- 16:56Speaker 3: claims that Taylor froze them out, so to say it's nonsense.
- 17:00Speaker 3: They still text, they talk for ba. They're just busy
- 17:03Speaker 3: adults or busy lives.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Well, I get it, Yeah, I get it. I get it. Mark.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Often when you see people disappear for a minute, you think,
- 17:10Speaker 2: oh my goodness, there for a couple of days ago,
- 17:12Speaker 2: there was a rumors that Timothy Schallameau had broken up
- 17:15Speaker 2: with Kylie Jenna because he didn't go to christ Jenna's
- 17:17Speaker 2: birthday party. I was the first to say absolutely not.
- 17:19Speaker 2: All My sources were like, they're together. A, he's filming,
- 17:22Speaker 2: and B he hates those big type of parties. So
- 17:24Speaker 2: just because he wasn't there doesn't mean they're not friends. Mark,
- 17:27Speaker 2: we go months without seeing each other. We see each
- 17:29Speaker 2: other on the zoom, but we talk a lot, we
- 17:30Speaker 2: text a lot. But I don't value our friendship on
- 17:33Speaker 2: how many times we're in the same room together. I
- 17:36Speaker 2: used to, but I don't do that anymore. After the pandemic,
- 17:39Speaker 2: I realized you can be great friends with people. You
- 17:41Speaker 2: don't have to physically be with them all the time.
- 17:45Speaker 2: So they talk, they text. Don't worry, these two are
- 17:48Speaker 2: still friends. Let's let's do our naughtiest stuff the day. Naughty, naughty,
- 17:52Speaker 2: naughty Amy Schumer is begging photo agencies to delete all
- 17:55Speaker 2: her before pictures. So she's lost about forty pounds. She
- 17:58Speaker 2: looks great, she always looked great. She's been using the
- 18:00Speaker 2: weight loss of drugs, and she now has removed from
- 18:03Speaker 2: her own social media all the before images, but she's
- 18:07Speaker 2: gone further than that, and she's reached out to several
- 18:09Speaker 2: of the big photo agencies saying can you remove these pictures?
- 18:12Speaker 2: It makes me sad because who you were isn't who
- 18:16Speaker 2: you are, and you've got to accept your past to
- 18:18Speaker 2: accept your future. To raise a picture doesn't mean it
- 18:22Speaker 2: didn't exist like it makes me sad, Amy that you
- 18:25Speaker 2: still still have this much concerns thought shame about weight loss,
- 18:32Speaker 2: that you that you would do this. I've lost a
- 18:34Speaker 2: lot away. I used to be about thirty forty pounds heavier.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Mark. I look at those pictures and they.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Give me pride. I actually love it when people use
- 18:41Speaker 2: an old picture of me, because when I turn up,
- 18:43Speaker 2: you're You're messy, surprised, I look much of bed. You
- 18:47Speaker 2: don't want a great picture all the time because when
- 18:49Speaker 2: the beature, they're like, oh, good grief. And so I'm
- 18:52Speaker 2: quite comfortable with my past. Mark, What would you be
- 18:54Speaker 2: like this if you were heavier at one point? I
- 18:56Speaker 2: don't think you've ever been heavier. For the last twenty
- 18:58Speaker 2: years I've known you, you look exactly the same. Would
- 19:01Speaker 2: you want the pictures removed or is it part of
- 19:02Speaker 2: your life?
- 19:03Speaker 3: No, it's part of my life. You know. Facebook has
- 19:05Speaker 3: pictures of me from fifteen years ago looking crazy, and
- 19:07Speaker 3: I don't care. It's just it is what it is,
- 19:09Speaker 3: and we don't forget. The internet does not forget any.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Absolutely, it doesn't forget silly. You're wasting your time. Spend
- 19:15Speaker 2: your time on being happy.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Let's end with a.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Moment of rab r Ruby. The scariest part of pursuing
- 19:21Speaker 2: your goals is not starting. It's continuing when it feels
- 19:24Speaker 2: like nothing is working. Starting takes courage, mark but continuing
- 19:28Speaker 2: that takes faith. That's the part that nobody talks about,
- 19:32Speaker 2: the in between. Everybody talks about the beginning, and everybody
- 19:35Speaker 2: talks about the end. We want to talk about how
- 19:36Speaker 2: hard it wants to start and the huge success we
- 19:38Speaker 2: are now, but nobody talks about the middle bit, the grind,
- 19:42Speaker 2: the stretch of days where you just do the work.
- 19:46Speaker 2: It's frustrating, it's lonely, and this is where most people quit.
- 19:51Speaker 2: But here's the truth. Here's the truth. That season, that
- 19:55Speaker 2: season right now, when it feels like nothing is happening,
- 19:59Speaker 2: is when everything can happening. It's when you build resilience.
- 20:02Speaker 2: It's when you sharpen your skills. It's when you're proving
- 20:06Speaker 2: to yourself that your commitment is real. Progressmark doesn't always
- 20:11Speaker 2: look like progress. Sometimes it looks like showing up again
- 20:15Speaker 2: and again and again. I'm in the process at the
- 20:17Speaker 2: moment of starting a new novel. It's not glamorous. It's
- 20:20Speaker 2: really boring. Every day I'm sitting down for two hours
- 20:23Speaker 2: by myself, frustrated, lonely. I gotta do the work, and
- 20:26Speaker 2: for six months I'm going to bang out this novel
- 20:29Speaker 2: and then eventually when it's published.
- 20:31Speaker 1: ILL love that.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I love the successful part. I love the beginning when
- 20:34Speaker 2: you just have an idea. It's the grind. It's doing
- 20:36Speaker 2: it day after day. It's getting up every day and
- 20:39Speaker 2: going to work. It's getting up every day and doing
- 20:42Speaker 2: the job and nobody applauds. That is what leads to success. Hey,
- 20:47Speaker 2: my friends, that is it for today. Thank you so
- 20:49Speaker 2: much for listening to The Naughty Bit Nice with Robin
