• 0:08
Speaker 1: Because I've asked those too.
• 0:11

  Speaker 1: Hi, welcome back.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: You are listening to episode 81.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: Today's episode is for anyone standing in the middle of a life transition.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: Maybe your world shifted overnight, maybe you saw it coming for months, but now you're here feeling like the ground beneath you is unfamiliar.
• 1:17
Speaker 1: I want to speak directly into that space and bring in the most powerful example of transition we've ever been given the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
• 1:29
Speaker 1: Now, before you check out, thinking this is just another Sunday school sermon, let me stop you.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: This isn't about religion, it's about resurrection.
• 1:39
Speaker 1: It's about what it looks like when everything falls apart and how that very collapse is what leads to your comeback.
• 1:48
Speaker 1: Because, let's be real, life transitions feel like death sometimes Divorce, job loss, retirement, empty nest, maybe a diagnosis, a betrayal or a death.
• 2:02
Speaker 1: These moments feel like something is being buried and, in a way, something is.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: But you see, that's not the end of the story.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: Let's look at the transition Jesus went through.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Jesus didn't skip the hard part, he didn't avoid the suffering, he walked straight into it betrayed, beaten, abandoned and crucified.
• 2:30
Speaker 1: He died publicly, painfully but purposefully, but he didn't stay dead.
• 2:39
Speaker 1: That transition from life to death to resurrection was the ultimate shift.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: It was ugly, uncomfortable, dark and silent, and in that in-between space nothing made sense.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: Does this sound familiar?
• 2:57
Speaker 1: You see, your transition might feel like you've been buried, but resurrection starts in the dark, when you can't see the next step, when everyone else has gone home, when the silence is deafening.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: That's when something sacred is happening.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: You're not stuck, you're planted, and planted things grow.
• 3:25
Speaker 1: Here's what I want you to grab hold of as you walk through your own transition.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: There are three things to remember in your transition.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: Number one death is a part of the process, but it's not the end.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: But it's not the end.
• 3:44
Speaker 1: Jesus didn't bypass the cross.
• 3:46
Speaker 1: He went through it, so will you.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: The old life has to end so the new one can begin.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: It's not punishment, it's preparation.
• 4:00
Speaker 1: Let the dying happen and stop trying to resurrect what God is trying to replace.
• 4:05
Speaker 1: Number two there's a silence before the comeback.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Between Friday and Sunday, the world went quiet.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: No miracles, no movement, just silence.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: That doesn't mean nothing is happening.
• 4:23
Speaker 1: It means everything is happening underneath the surface.
• 4:27
Speaker 1: Trust the pause, trust the in-between, because God does his best work in the hidden places.
• 4:35
Speaker 1: And finally, number three the comeback always starts in the tomb.
• 4:43
Speaker 1: Number three the comeback always starts in the tomb.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: Let's remember the tomb wasn't the end of the story.
• 4:48
Speaker 1: It was the beginning of the greatest comeback ever written.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: And the same is true for you.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: If you're in the tomb, grieving, aching, adjusting, surrendering, good, that's where comebacks begin.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: Don't rush it, but don't you dare give up either.
• 5:11
Speaker 1: Let me tell you something bold your comeback started the moment your transition did.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: You didn't miss it, it didn't pass you by.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: It wasn't delayed because you didn't get out of bed last week or because you cried in your car yesterday, the very day your old life began to fall apart.
• 5:32
Speaker 1: Your comeback clock started ticking.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: The cross wasn't the end, the tomb wasn't permanent, and neither is the place you're in right now.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: But, just like Jesus, you've got to rise.
• 5:49
Speaker 1: You don't need to have it all figured out.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: You just need to decide.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: I'm not staying in this place forever.
• 5:56
Speaker 1: I'm not living in Friday when I know that Sunday's coming and listen.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: Resurrection doesn't mean you return to the way things were.
• 6:07
Speaker 1: It means you rise different.
• 6:10
Speaker 1: You come back wiser, stronger, deeper.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: You carry scars, yes, but those scars tell the story of what didn't kill you.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: Scars tell the story of what didn't kill you.
• 6:28
Speaker 1: So here's what I want you to do today.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: Say it out loud I'm starting my comeback Not when I feel ready, not when the finances line up, not when everyone understands Now, because the day your transition started was the day your comeback did too.
• 6:46
Speaker 1: You just didn't know it yet.
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Starting your comeback doesn't require a grand gesture.
• 6:52
Speaker 1: It starts in small ways.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: You make the appointment, you walk away from the toxic relationship.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: You walk away from the toxic relationship.
• 7:03
Speaker 1: You ask for help.
• 7:05
Speaker 1: You get out of bed, you open your hands and surrender what you can't control.
• 7:12
Speaker 1: Resurrection power isn't just for Jesus, it's for you, right here and right now.
• 7:19
Speaker 1: If you're listening and you need help taking that next step, I want you to know I'm here, I've walked it and I coach people just like you through it.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: I help you rebuild what was broken, rediscover what you were made for and to step boldly into your next chapter.
• 7:42
Speaker 1: This isn't the end.
