- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? Everyone?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Welcome into another episode of The check O Daily. It's
- 0:12Speaker 2: Andrew de Checko, Eagles beat reporter for insidethebirds dot Com,
- 0:15Speaker 2: and we got preseason action Saturday night as the Eagles
- 0:19Speaker 2: go to Baltimore to take on the Baltimore Ravens in
- 0:22Speaker 2: the preseason opener. And I am here to give you
- 0:25Speaker 2: sort of a preseason primer, offering you a list of
- 0:29Speaker 2: players that I'm most looking forward to seeing.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I have been there for all eleven.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Training camp practices and I feel like there are a
- 0:38Speaker 2: number of players who are trending upwards. There are some
- 0:41Speaker 2: that have to have to kind of get it going
- 0:44Speaker 2: and show some things, but for different reasons. These are
- 0:47Speaker 2: the players that I am most looking forward to seeing.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We'll go through offense and defense, and we'll start on
- 0:52Speaker 2: the offensive side. Tank Bigsby's probably going to start this game,
- 0:57Speaker 2: but I already know about Tank Bigsby, so he's not
- 1:00Speaker 2: going to be on this list. I want to see
- 1:02Speaker 2: how Will Shipley, the Eagle's third year running back, takes
- 1:05Speaker 2: this offense, the new scheme, and how he is able
- 1:09Speaker 2: to maybe find some running lanes and in a style
- 1:12Speaker 2: that maybe caters to him a little bit more and
- 1:15Speaker 2: if he's able to factor in the receiving game. But
- 1:19Speaker 2: he is someone that does have juice. He has had
- 1:22Speaker 2: some nice, tough runs in training camp. Hasn't had a
- 1:25Speaker 2: ton of snaps because those belong to Saquon Barkley and
- 1:29Speaker 2: Tank Bigsby. But Will is someone that I want to
- 1:32Speaker 2: get eyes on and see how this version of him
- 1:36Speaker 2: looks in this particular offense.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And he looks like he's bulked up. He's added some strength.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I think some of the shortcomings that you'll see with
- 1:48Speaker 2: him in running when it comes to running the football
- 1:51Speaker 2: when it was inside zone, didn't have a lot of
- 1:53Speaker 2: power to surge through some tackles and fight through it,
- 1:57Speaker 2: whereas in this system you might see him being able
- 2:00Speaker 2: to utilize his vision and elusiveness a little bit more.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And then, of course I go back to the receiving element.
- 2:06Speaker 2: He's caught some nice passes in training camp. He also
- 2:09Speaker 2: had a bad drop, but he is someone that can
- 2:12Speaker 2: win on wheel routes. He had a nice one from
- 2:14Speaker 2: Andy Dalton and they seem to have a decent rapport
- 2:17Speaker 2: when it comes to that. So we'll see how that
- 2:19Speaker 2: all manifests in a game. Situation. But then you look
- 2:24Speaker 2: at a little bit further down in the pecking order,
- 2:26Speaker 2: Carson Steele, who is a third year running back six
- 2:29Speaker 2: foot two hundred and twenty eight pounds, was a full
- 2:32Speaker 2: back with the Chiefs as a rookie, made the Chiefs
- 2:34Speaker 2: as an undrafted free agent in twenty twenty four. Well,
- 2:37Speaker 2: Damian Pierce has missed the last several practices and he's
- 2:42Speaker 2: sort of a player whose stock is trending downwards. But
- 2:45Speaker 2: when you look at Carson Steele, if the Eagles aren't
- 2:49Speaker 2: going to lean too heavily into Tank Bigsby, because he's
- 2:52Speaker 2: going to be a prominent piece of their offense, and
- 2:55Speaker 2: I think Will Shipley's going to see a ton of work.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Carson Steele would be the next player that you can
- 3:00Speaker 2: expect to see. That's number thirty four. You'll see the
- 3:03Speaker 2: flowing locks, You'll see a chiseled frame, he runs hard,
- 3:08Speaker 2: lowers his shoulder. I think he's the exact kind of
- 3:11Speaker 2: player that when you put the pads on, you're able
- 3:14Speaker 2: to see the value there, and then on special teams.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm looking to see something from him.
- 3:17Speaker 2: There because I think he has a skill set that
- 3:21Speaker 2: lends itself to maybe becoming a ringer in coverage. Now
- 3:25Speaker 2: he has an uphill battle to make the roster, But
- 3:27Speaker 2: there's thirty one other teams that you're putting tape out
- 3:29Speaker 2: there for. And so Carson Steele, simply for the power
- 3:34Speaker 2: that he runs with and the contact balance, is someone
- 3:36Speaker 2: that is on my list absolutely. At wide receiver, Darius
- 3:41Speaker 2: Cooper is not going to be on this list because
- 3:43Speaker 2: I already know about Darius Cooper. He's an NFL player,
- 3:46Speaker 2: He's had an exceptional training camp.
- 3:48Speaker 1: He's for real.
- 3:49Speaker 2: But I don't think that there's anything I'm going to
- 3:52Speaker 2: learn about Darius Cooper over the next three games that
- 3:55Speaker 2: I don't already know. He's shown up every day in
- 3:57Speaker 2: practice and made a play a day.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And is the real deal. But there are other players
- 4:02Speaker 1: at this position.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Johnny Wilson is probably at the top of my list
- 4:07Speaker 2: here because he never really got a chance to showcase
- 4:12Speaker 2: what he had been working on behind the scenes last summer.
- 4:15Speaker 2: He was coming on a little bit as a receiver.
- 4:17Speaker 2: We already know that he's an effective blocker, but I
- 4:20Speaker 2: think he's sort of coming into his own as a
- 4:22Speaker 2: pass catcher. There's room for a Johnny Wilson on this roster,
- 4:27Speaker 2: and I'm already assuming that Darius Cooper is essentially a
- 4:31Speaker 2: lock based on performance. But Johnny Wilson can block on
- 4:36Speaker 2: the perimeter, he can run down the field and cover kicks,
- 4:39Speaker 2: but he's also someone who has a unique body type
- 4:41Speaker 2: and can factor into.
- 4:42Speaker 1: The red zone.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And when you're looking at making exceptions and maybe going
- 4:46Speaker 2: heavier at a position, you tend to want to do
- 4:49Speaker 2: that with a player that has a skill set that
- 4:51Speaker 2: differentiates himself from other players in the room. And I
- 4:54Speaker 2: think Johnny's had a solid camp and has kind of
- 4:57Speaker 2: flown under the radar a little bit.
- 4:58Speaker 1: He missed a couple of days with the.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Knee, but he's back now and so he's playing for
- 5:03Speaker 2: a roster spot. Johnny Wilson's absolutely on there. Keep an
- 5:06Speaker 2: eye on the connection between Andy Dalton and Johnny Wilson
- 5:09Speaker 2: because a lot of times in training camp and even
- 5:11Speaker 2: in the spring, Andy has looked to him on these
- 5:14Speaker 2: inbreakers where Johnny uses his frame. Andy puts it where
- 5:18Speaker 2: Johnny can go get it, and so I think there's
- 5:20Speaker 2: a little bit of a rapport there between the two.
- 5:24Speaker 2: A player that you probably already have heard me talk about,
- 5:30Speaker 2: but I think that getting to see him in a
- 5:33Speaker 2: game scenario with the Eagles is something that I'm really
- 5:36Speaker 2: intrigued with. And that's Danny Gray another long He's a
- 5:40Speaker 2: long shot to make the roster, kind of along the
- 5:43Speaker 2: lines of Carson Steele, if not even more so, because
- 5:46Speaker 2: there's just so many bodies in front of him. But
- 5:49Speaker 2: if you think about it, last summer, he was in
- 5:51Speaker 2: training camp, he got injured, he was waived, he came
- 5:54Speaker 2: back on the practice squad. You didn't get a chance
- 5:56Speaker 2: to see him in the preseason. And then the year
- 5:58Speaker 2: before that he joined the practice the squad, but didn't
- 6:01Speaker 2: have a training camp with the Eagles, so you haven't had.
- 6:04Speaker 1: A chance to see him in action.
- 6:06Speaker 2: And this is someone who was a third round pick
- 6:07Speaker 2: of the San Francisco forty nine ers in twenty twenty two.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Has good speed, he's competitive, and I think he's going
- 6:14Speaker 2: to approach this game with a chip on his shoulder.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I can tell you from having talked to Danny last
- 6:19Speaker 2: year in the year before that he is someone that
- 6:22Speaker 2: is naturally motivated. But I have to imagine that he's
- 6:25Speaker 2: going to be chomping at the bit to get back
- 6:26Speaker 2: out there and put some good things on tape.
- 6:29Speaker 1: At tight end, I'm going to.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Be looking at Cameron Latou and more so as a receiver,
- 6:37Speaker 2: because Cameron Latsuo has caught some passes, he's done some
- 6:39Speaker 2: different things, and I want to see what he can
- 6:42Speaker 2: now do if he's incorporated a little bit more as
- 6:45Speaker 2: a pass catcher, because he has some really good receiving ability.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Just look at his Alabama tape, and if he's able
- 6:52Speaker 2: to add that in all of a sudden, you have
- 6:54Speaker 2: a very well rounded depth piece there at tight end.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And I think at the top of the list there
- 6:59Speaker 2: has to be Eli stat the rookie tight end who's
- 7:02Speaker 2: had a quiet training camp, though he's making strides and
- 7:05Speaker 2: taking steps in the right direction. Again, it's going to
- 7:08Speaker 2: be a work in progress, but I think his skill
- 7:11Speaker 2: set and athleticism lends itself to being able to come
- 7:16Speaker 2: up with some dynamic plays as a receiver and get
- 7:20Speaker 2: loose in the open field. Maybe they're able to accentuate
- 7:24Speaker 2: his leaping ability and just overall explosiveness in the red zone,
- 7:30Speaker 2: and if he's able to put his best foot forward
- 7:33Speaker 2: in this game, that's certainly going to be something tangible
- 7:37Speaker 2: that he can lean into a little bit.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It can build confidence moving forward.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So Eli Stowers, the Eagles second round draft pick number
- 7:45Speaker 2: eighty seven, is on the list for sure. And then
- 7:48Speaker 2: on the offensive line there's a number of players. Drew
- 7:51Speaker 2: Kendall is not going to be on this list, which
- 7:53Speaker 2: may surprise you, But as you all know, I'm bullish
- 7:57Speaker 2: on Drew Kendall and I was when he got drafted.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I meant that that was probably my favorite Day three
- 8:02Speaker 2: pick of the Eagles because I like the player and
- 8:04Speaker 2: I like the fit.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I know how I feel when I wake up in
- 8:07Speaker 3: the morning, I have so many things on my mind.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I can't get any of this done until I have
- 8:12Speaker 3: my first cup of coffee. I know a lot of

- 12:15Speaker 2: But I already know a decent amount about Drew Kendall.
- 12:18Speaker 2: I've seen a lot of them in training camp. I
- 12:20Speaker 2: want to see some of the younger players that are
- 12:22Speaker 2: vying for depth rolls. Drew Kendall is already one of
- 12:24Speaker 2: the eight offensive linemen who are sort of cemented on.
- 12:29Speaker 1: The roster right now.
- 12:30Speaker 2: He's going to be a very important piece on game
- 12:33Speaker 2: day as the interior back up, the top interior backup.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But I'm looking at Willie Lampkin, the Eagles second year
- 12:40Speaker 2: offensive lineman. He had a good training camp last year
- 12:43Speaker 2: with the Rams, a good preseason that he put out
- 12:46Speaker 2: a lot of really good tape, and now we get
- 12:49Speaker 2: to see him here in Philadelphia. But this is someone
- 12:51Speaker 2: that I do believe strongly that Philadelphia fans that haven't
- 12:55Speaker 2: seen him yet you're going to fall in love with
- 12:57Speaker 2: him because he plays with tremendous effort, strong ability to anchor.
- 13:01Speaker 2: He's a lot stronger at the point of attack than
- 13:04Speaker 2: you might expect for a five eleven two.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And ninety pound offensive lineman. He's a center.
- 13:09Speaker 2: He played guard in college, but he's now learning guard
- 13:14Speaker 2: at the NFL level, so the Eagles have cross trained
- 13:16Speaker 2: him there. I think he's going to get some opportunities
- 13:18Speaker 2: to play both, and he might be able to serve
- 13:22Speaker 2: up some pancakes in this one, because I think that
- 13:24Speaker 2: that was something that really sort of caught fire a
- 13:28Speaker 2: little bit on social media last year in a positive way.
- 13:31Speaker 2: A lot of those clips that he was getting the
- 13:35Speaker 2: best of some of these defensive linemen, really good at
- 13:38Speaker 2: using his natural leverage to his advantage. And another player
- 13:42Speaker 2: would be Jake Majors, the eagles second year offensive lineman.
- 13:45Speaker 2: He joined the practice squad after Week one. He was
- 13:48Speaker 2: with the tamp Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent
- 13:51Speaker 2: last summer, but he suffered an injury.
- 13:54Speaker 1: He was waived.
- 13:55Speaker 2: The Eagles grabbed them and they put him on the
- 13:56Speaker 2: practice squad. He was there all season, got to learn
- 14:00Speaker 2: from Jeff Stoutland and the NFL's best offensive line room.
- 14:04Speaker 2: So I think that he kind of entered training camp
- 14:06Speaker 2: with a solid foundation. He's learned a little bit from
- 14:10Speaker 2: Jason Kelce this summer. He's a very smart player. He's
- 14:14Speaker 2: very tough. He set a Texas program record for most
- 14:18Speaker 2: starts with fifty six, so he has a lot of
- 14:21Speaker 2: experience playing center, and the Eagles cross train to mcguard
- 14:24Speaker 2: as well.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He has shorter arms, so that's something to keep in mind.
- 14:27Speaker 2: But I think when you look at him, you're going
- 14:29Speaker 2: to see a technician who's highly intelligent. He's really good
- 14:32Speaker 2: at dissecting and diagnosing what defenses are doing pre snap,
- 14:37Speaker 2: and he's had a quietly good camp. There's been moments
- 14:40Speaker 2: where as a guard when he's been inserted there, defensive
- 14:43Speaker 2: linemen have gotten the better of him. But it's still
- 14:46Speaker 2: a work in progress there, but I can see it.
- 14:49Speaker 2: And he's largely taken second team reps, So that suggests
- 14:53Speaker 2: that the Eagles are intrigued with what they've seen from him,
- 14:56Speaker 2: because they're certainly not going to just throw reps away
- 14:58Speaker 2: if the player isn't holding up his end of the bargain.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Certainly, so the.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Eagles are telling you that he's coming along nicely, and
- 15:08Speaker 2: that's why they're sort of rewarding him with these second
- 15:10Speaker 2: team reps. Otherwise you might as well just give it
- 15:13Speaker 2: to your sixth round pick in Michael Morris and the
- 15:16Speaker 2: fact that they are giving Jake Majors these opportunities to me,
- 15:20Speaker 2: has him on my list as someone that Warrant's watching.
- 15:23Speaker 2: He wears number seventy five. Then the other offensive lineman
- 15:26Speaker 2: is someone who I've been on since the spring. I
- 15:30Speaker 2: noted him and I really started to pay attention to
- 15:33Speaker 2: how he was performing and how the Eagles were lining
- 15:36Speaker 2: him up and things like that. And that's John Adjuco
- 15:39Speaker 2: and a djuku and so I look at what he
- 15:45Speaker 2: can do. And this is someone who's twenty seven years old,
- 15:48Speaker 2: who's a twenty twenty three on drafted for agent with
- 15:51Speaker 2: the Tennessee Titans. He's a right tackle really, but they recently,
- 15:56Speaker 2: at least for one practice cross training my left guard.
- 15:59Speaker 2: So Juco is somebody that to me is a little intriguing.
- 16:03Speaker 2: When you look at the Eagles backup offensive lineman, there's
- 16:06Speaker 2: a lot of youth there. You have Fred Johnson, of course,
- 16:09Speaker 2: but there's not a ton of experience. Now he's just
- 16:11Speaker 2: played in sixteen games, nine starts, but it's something and
- 16:14Speaker 2: if he can provide added value as a player who
- 16:19Speaker 2: can play tackle and guard, well, then you have something
- 16:22Speaker 2: to work with there. So he's kind of my sleeper,
- 16:24Speaker 2: my under the radar guy that I recently put on
- 16:27Speaker 2: my fifty three man roster last week, I believe, so
- 16:32Speaker 2: that's some way to keep an eye on.
- 16:33Speaker 1: That's number sixty seven.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Let's look at the defensive side, and the defensive side
- 16:39Speaker 2: of the ball has a lot of players that I'll
- 16:41Speaker 2: be keeping an eye on, but I'm gonna whittle it
- 16:43Speaker 2: down to those who I feel are most important for
- 16:46Speaker 2: the viewers, and so we're gonna go with Byron Young
- 16:49Speaker 2: to start defensive tackle, entering his fourth season, the final
- 16:53Speaker 2: year of his rookie deal. Those who have listened or
- 16:56Speaker 2: read my work over the past couple of years, you
- 16:58Speaker 2: already know that I'm a I'm a big, b y guy.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I've seen a lot from him, I think had he
- 17:05Speaker 2: been on another roster, he's a third defensive tackle and
- 17:08Speaker 2: you're hearing about him a lot more. But nevertheless, he's
- 17:11Speaker 2: here in Philadelphia and he's sort of buried on the
- 17:13Speaker 2: depth chart. But he's had a good camp. He's lost
- 17:15Speaker 2: some weight, he showed some juice as a pass rusher,
- 17:20Speaker 2: and he is someone that I think offers that positional
- 17:23Speaker 2: versatility that's appealing. Vic Fangio seems to like him and
- 17:26Speaker 2: he is one of the more important death pieces on
- 17:29Speaker 2: the roster.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So Byron Young is on my list.
- 17:31Speaker 2: There at linebacker, we're gonna look at Chance Campbell, number
- 17:35Speaker 2: fifty nine. He was on the Eagles practice squad all
- 17:38Speaker 2: last season, signed just before the final preseason game. He
- 17:42Speaker 2: did enough in that limited sample size to punch his
- 17:46Speaker 2: ticket onto the practice squad, and I think a lot
- 17:49Speaker 2: of that has to do with they already knew about
- 17:51Speaker 2: the player. Bobby King, the Eagles linebackers coach, was with
- 17:54Speaker 2: him in Tennessee, and he's a highly intelligent and stinctual player,
- 17:59Speaker 2: and I think you're going to see him rack up
- 18:01Speaker 2: a number of tackles when he gets his opportunity. He's
- 18:03Speaker 2: really in contention for what would probably be the fifth
- 18:06Speaker 2: linebacker spot, and I would argue that the Eagles could
- 18:10Speaker 2: go that route, but that would be more along the
- 18:12Speaker 2: lines of special teams. That's really where he's going to
- 18:15Speaker 2: have to convince the coaching staff by being a third
- 18:19Speaker 2: base standout, and I think he has the makeup.
- 18:21Speaker 1: To do that.
- 18:22Speaker 2: He's just got to stay healthy. That's been the one
- 18:24Speaker 2: hang up for him throughout his career. But at twenty
- 18:27Speaker 2: six years old. He hasn't he doesn't have a lot
- 18:31Speaker 2: of miles on him, and I think the Eagles like him.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Vic Vangels certainly does.
- 18:34Speaker 2: He said don't sleep on chance Campbell now at edge rusher.
- 18:39Speaker 2: It's Ajpanessa, the Eagles veteran edge rusher that they signed
- 18:43Speaker 2: after mandatory mini camp. He's played a lot of football.
- 18:46Speaker 2: He's transitioning to a scheme in which he's going to
- 18:48Speaker 2: have to do some different things like dropping the coverage.
- 18:51Speaker 2: He's feisty, he gets after it, and I think his
- 18:54Speaker 2: seasoning from having played so many games is going to
- 18:57Speaker 2: really reveal itself in this game. See him probably be
- 19:01Speaker 2: in the right place at the right time. But I
- 19:03Speaker 2: am curious to see how he handles dropping into coverage
- 19:06Speaker 2: if he's asked to do that this game.
- 19:08Speaker 1: But he's had a nice training camp.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 19:15Speaker 3: long lines, We've all been there. But when it comes
- 19:18Speaker 3: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 19:23Speaker 3: the dispensary for sports fans, just minutes outside of Philly,
- 19:27Speaker 3: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast.
- 19:30Speaker 3: No hassle, no waiting, and they don't just care about convenience.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Camden Apothecary is all about the guest experience. Their staff
- 19:38Speaker 3: makes sure you feel taken care of every time you

- 19:48Speaker 3: the tailgate, the watch party, or celebrating a big win,

- 19:56Speaker 3: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
- 20:01Speaker 3: service members, and healthcare pros. Canned in Apothecary, top quality cannabis,
- 20:06Speaker 3: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 20:09Speaker 3: one and up.
- 20:11Speaker 1: In the secondary.
- 20:12Speaker 2: As we close things out, there's a number of players
- 20:14Speaker 2: that I could have went with. Second year of cornerback
- 20:17Speaker 2: Mac McWilliams highlights this list. Mac has not only had
- 20:22Speaker 2: a nice couple of days of late, he's really come
- 20:25Speaker 2: on the last week and a half. And that's just
- 20:27Speaker 2: the facts of the matter. If you're paying close attention
- 20:31Speaker 2: to those of us who are there at practice.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I mean, it's been noted that he is.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Taking advantage of his opportunities and what I've noticed from him,
- 20:41Speaker 2: is that you're seeing someone who is notably stronger. He's
- 20:44Speaker 2: added some weight to his frame, He's playing with more confidence.
- 20:47Speaker 2: He has good quickness, he has a quick trigger, which
- 20:50Speaker 2: is important. He's not guessing, and he seems to be
- 20:52Speaker 2: a little bit more confident in his assignments. Vic Vangio
- 20:57Speaker 2: mentioned maturity when talking about the biggest difference for Macmick
- 21:00Speaker 2: Williams from year one to year two, and so Max
- 21:03Speaker 2: should get a lot of opportunities in this In this one,
- 21:05Speaker 2: we'll see if he's able to take the next step
- 21:07Speaker 2: further in his progression at safety. There's two players that
- 21:12Speaker 2: I'm going to be looking at. Kapina Gushikin, who's an
- 21:15Speaker 2: undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss. I've noticed lately
- 21:17Speaker 2: that he's been working in with the second team alongside
- 21:20Speaker 2: Andre sam whose name may come up here in a moment.
- 21:23Speaker 2: But Gushagin is undersized, but he's extremely explosive and athletic.
- 21:27Speaker 2: He is really good at, you know, throttling down. He
- 21:32Speaker 2: has good quick and good click and close ability, and
- 21:36Speaker 2: he seems to process things relatively fast. I've noticed him
- 21:40Speaker 2: sort of creep up the depth chart a little bit.
- 21:42Speaker 2: We'll see what that all means, but this is someone
- 21:44Speaker 2: who you got to look past the size a little bit.
- 21:47Speaker 2: He is immensely athletic and he seems to have a
- 21:49Speaker 2: relatively high football IQ. We'll certainly learn more watching him
- 21:53Speaker 2: in a game situation, but he's someone who has caught my.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Eye of late.
- 22:00Speaker 2: And the final player here, that's Andre Sam. Andre Sam
- 22:03Speaker 2: is someone who's now in his third year in this defense.
- 22:06Speaker 2: There's not a lot that I need to say that
- 22:07Speaker 2: I haven't already said about Andre, and I don't want
- 22:10Speaker 2: to oversell it, but this is someone who doesn't tend
- 22:13Speaker 2: to make a lot of mistakes. He's confident in his assignments,
- 22:18Speaker 2: he knows the defense. The Eagles, perhaps most importantly, seem
- 22:22Speaker 2: to be really comfortable with Andre because he's been a
- 22:25Speaker 2: constant with the second team. He really was last summer
- 22:28Speaker 2: was Andre Sam and Tristan McCullum. And I don't know
- 22:31Speaker 2: that Andre could have done anything more last summer than
- 22:33Speaker 2: that he already could. That he did, but he fell
- 22:36Speaker 2: short of making the roster. He's a good special teams player.
- 22:39Speaker 2: He has a great story. If you don't know his story,
- 22:42Speaker 2: be sure to check that out. And he's someone that
- 22:47Speaker 2: when you watch him out there, you'll see someone who
- 22:50Speaker 2: is dependable. He's reliable, and he plays a lot bigger
- 22:55Speaker 2: than his listed size. He has a feistiness to him
- 22:59Speaker 2: which show cases itself on special teams end defense, and
- 23:03Speaker 2: I think that experience within the system should help him
- 23:06Speaker 2: be able to make some more plays on Saturday night. Well,
- 23:10Speaker 2: that's my group of players on offense and defense that
- 23:13Speaker 2: I'll be king in on. There's probably others that I forgot,
- 23:16Speaker 2: but those are the ones that are at the forefront
- 23:19Speaker 2: right now for me at least going into it. Hopefully
- 23:22Speaker 2: you guys check out the game and you stick around
- 23:25Speaker 2: for the all four quarters because there's a lot of
- 23:28Speaker 2: quality football players here.
- 23:29Speaker 1: And maybe my view, my view is a little skewed.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Because I've had a chance to watch these guys every
- 23:35Speaker 2: day since training camp opened. But there's a lot of
- 23:38Speaker 2: talent here, and there's a lot of competition at key spots,
- 23:41Speaker 2: and who knows, you just might see the next read
- 23:45Speaker 2: Blanket Chip, the next Josh Job, the next Eli Rix,
- 23:49Speaker 2: and we'll just have to wait and see how everything
- 23:51Speaker 2: plays out. But preseason game one tomorrow night, and we'll
- 23:56Speaker 2: have all the updates for you on Inside the Birds
- 23:59Speaker 2: on Inside the Birds dot Com and of course right
- 24:02Speaker 2: here on To Checko Daily.
- 24:04Speaker 1: That's gonna do it.
- 24:05Speaker 2: For this episode of To Checko Daily, I'm Andrew di
- 24:08Speaker 2: Checo and I'll catch you all on the next one.
