  Courage in the chaos Have you ever looked around at the world
• 0:14
  and felt your stomach drop? Like everything is loud,
• 0:17
  unstable, and unpredictable. The headlines, the arguments,
• 0:21
  the fear, the what if thoughts that hit you late at night.
• 0:24
  Jesus doesn't pretend chaos isn't real.
• 0:27
  In Mark chapter 13, he talks about intense moments ahead,
• 0:30
  including this warning. But when you see the abomination
• 0:33
  of desolation standing where he ought not to be, then let those
• 0:37
  who are in Judaea flee to the mountains.
• 0:39
  That's not meant to make you panic.
• 0:41
  It's meant to show you that Jesus sees what's coming and He
• 0:44
  wants his people awake, prepared, and steady.
• 0:47
  And Daniel Chapter 7 pulls back the curtain even more.
• 0:50
  It shows God on the throne, the Ancient of Days.
• 0:53
  And then it says, behold, with the clouds of heaven there came
• 0:57
  one like a Son of man, and to him was given dominion and glory
• 1:00
  and a Kingdom. Jesus called himself the Son of
• 1:03
  Man on purpose. Daniel's vision tells you who's
• 1:06
  really in charge when everything feels out of control.
• 1:09
  Kingdoms rise and fall, trends come and go, fear spreads fast.
• 1:14
  But Jesus receives dominion. Jesus receives glory.
• 1:17
  Jesus receives a Kingdom that does not end.
• 1:20
  Then Proverbs chapter 30 gives you an image of courage.
• 1:23
  You can almost see three things are stately in their tread.
• 1:26
  The lion, which is mightiest among beasts and does not turn
• 1:29
  back before any. That's the posture God wants to
• 1:32
  shape in you. Not reckless, not arrogant, but
• 1:35
  steady and unafraid. Courage isn't pretending.
• 1:38
  Nothing is scary. Courage is knowing who is king
• 1:41
  when things are scary. So what do you do when the world
• 1:44
  feels chaotic? You set your eyes on the throne.
• 1:47
  You anchor your heart in the truth that Jesus isn't
• 1:49
  surprised. Jesus isn't stressed and Jesus
• 1:52
  isn't losing. He prepares us so we won't
• 1:55
  crumble. He warns us so we won't drift.
• 1:58
  He leads us so we can help others find hope when they're
• 2:00
  overwhelmed. Let's pray, Heavenly Father,
• 2:03
  when the world feels chaotic and my mind feels overwhelmed,
• 2:07
  remind me that you are on the throne.
• 2:09
  Thank you that Jesus, the Son of Man, has dominion and a Kingdom
• 2:12
  that will never end. Give me courage like the lion,
• 2:15
  steady, focused and unafraid, because you are with me.
• 2:19
  Help me stay alert, faithful and full of hope and use my life to
• 2:23
  point others to your truth in Jesus name, Amen.

  But the end is not yet, for nation will rise against nation

  and Kingdom against Kingdom. There will be earthquakes in

  various places. There will be famines and

  troubles. These things are the beginning

  of birth pains, but watch yourselves, for they will

  deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in
• 7:06
  synagogues, you will stand before rulers and kings for my
• 7:09
  sake, for a testimony to them. The good news must first be
• 7:13
  preached to all the nations when they lead you away and deliver
• 7:16
  you up. Don't be anxious beforehand or
• 7:18
  premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given
• 7:22
  you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy
• 7:25
  Spirit. Brother will deliver up Brother
• 7:27
  to death, and the Father his child.

  Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put
• 7:33
  to death. You will be hated by all men for
• 7:35
  my name's sake, but he who endures to the end will be

  saved. But when you see the abomination

  of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing
• 7:44
  where it ought not, let the reader understand.

  Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let

  him who is on the housetop not go down nor enter in to take
• 7:54
  anything out of his house. Let him who is in the field not
• 7:57
  return back to take his cloak. But woe to those who are with

  child, and to those who nurse babies in those days.

  Pray that your flight won't be in the winter, for in those days

  there will be oppression such as there has not been the like from

  the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and

  never will be. Unless the Lord had shortened

  the days, no flesh would have been saved but for the sake of
• 8:20
  the chosen ones whom He picked out.

  He shortened the days. Then if anyone tells you, look

  here is the Christ, or look there, don't believe it, For

  false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs

  and wonders that they may lead astray, if possible, even the

  chosen ones. But you watch, behold, I have

  told you all things beforehand. But in those days after that

  oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give
• 8:45
  its light, the stars will be falling from the sky, and the
• 8:48
  powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.

  Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great
• 8:54
  power and glory. Then he will send out his angels
• 8:57
  and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds,

  from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

  Now from the fig tree learn this parable.

  When the branch has now become tender and produces its leaves,
• 9:09
  you know that the summer is near.

  Even so, you also, when you see these things coming to pass,
• 9:14
  know that it is near at the doors.

  Most certainly, I say to you, this generation will not pass
• 9:20
  away until all these things happen.

  Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

  But if that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels
• 9:29
  in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

  Watch, keep alert and pray, for you don't know when the time is.

  It is like a man traveling to another country, having left his
• 9:40
  house and given authority to his servants and to each one his
• 9:43
  work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

  Watch, therefore, for you don't know when the Lord of the house
• 9:49
  is coming, whether at evening or at midnight or when the rooster
• 9:52
  crows, or in the morning, lest coming suddenly he might find
• 9:56
  you sleeping. What I tell you, I tell all.
