- 0:01Hello, folks, this is Princess, you are listening to the
- 0:04millennial Mustard Seed, pod casts.
- 0:06Thanks for listening. Don't forget to share with your
- 0:09friends. I stopped wearing a very tough
- 0:12spot. I think that what we're doing
- 0:15right now is a great benefit and virtue because it's an
- 0:19end-around between this whole corrupt informational system
- 0:24media system. We claim to believe in a God who
- 0:27spoke the universe into existence and literally raised
- 0:30himself from the dead. And yet, we're not going to
- 0:34believe that anything else exists in the spirit realm, even
- 0:37though his word tells us that they do, Their bodies weren't
- 0:41permitted to go to sleep, like, humans do, and they weren't
- 0:45permitted to go to heaven. So they wander the Earth, you
- 0:49know, I've seen the eyes turned black to unknown tongues being
- 0:53spoken. These Giants would love way up
- 0:56behind the of graves. The young man was hide, have
- 1:00been the trees away for one of these, twelve Footers to come
- 1:03walking down the back and they would jump on Dragon back.
- 1:15Then people start to get weapons, they start to get
- 1:17armor, they start to build cities, they social fortify
- 1:19their cities. Now, God looks down and there's
- 1:22violence everywhere. The Is war that we are at is not
- 1:27against each other. It's against these
- 1:29principalities in these rulers in, these are cons in the high
- 1:32places. It's really worthwhile to read
- 1:34the Bible yourself, fear is one of the primary drivers of mind
- 1:39control because we have to take every thought, captive and
- 1:43resist fear. You're going to have a testimony
- 1:49that is a Justice case against the kingdom of darkness.
- 2:11Welcome back to ease of edification.
- 2:13I got a really quick. Awesome message for you here
- 2:17with Pastor Sean, Carter. We just ask each other a couple
- 2:20questions it's encouraging, its edifying and important and I'm
- 2:25so ready to jump into this. He's of edification quick
- 2:29message. Let's go.
- 2:42Hey, this is Pastor Shawn Carter, glad to have you with us
- 2:45on the Millennium Mustard Seed, pod cast.
- 2:49This is the edifying short version, glad to have you so on.
- 2:54It's awesome to connect with you, man.
- 2:56I'm so excited about this many short series man, and I'm glad
- 3:00to be here with you ride. Just glad to share the God's
- 3:03word, and there's be able to talk about Out the things that
- 3:06we're going to talk about and hopefully help people out here
- 3:09today. Absolutely, man, somebody said
- 3:11something recently that we're over entertaining, we need more
- 3:15edification and I was like, yeah, we do bear each other's
- 3:21burdens and so fulfill the law because that's we don't want to
- 3:24see that absolute. So, with this edification
- 3:26series, man, what is the best thing that's happened within the
- 3:29last few months or a few years even?
- 3:32Well, you know, for some people don't know that I've been
- 3:36involved. I've been helping people come
- 3:37out of the occult and paranormal Community for years, and in just
- 3:43being able to work in that kind of ministry and be a full-time.
- 3:46Pastor. Most of my life, it's been just
- 3:49a great opportunity but the last few months have been really
- 3:53great to. I've been able to baptize 7
- 3:57folks in the past few months and some of them are just people
- 4:01that, you know, been praying for for for many years and just
- 4:05seeing at the The Lord is moving and watching and taking care of
- 4:10people and God is still on the throne and still in the
- 4:13Salvation process. That's that's probably one of
- 4:17the greatest things as far as personally happening to me is
- 4:19just being able to be a part of that Ministry and seeing those
- 4:24people come to the Lord and disciple them and take them on
- 4:28that Journey. You get to see them reinvent
- 4:32themselves who most we common, we lay it all down and the
- 4:35baptismal help soil. How many of the listeners here
- 4:40around the world? Know someone who got baptized
- 4:42recently. If you guys want to leave a
- 4:43comment on the webpage and interact with this mini short
- 4:47series and leave me some feedback.
- 4:50Sean what is the biggest battle that you faced recently doing
- 4:56the Lord's work? Well here recently is It's been
- 5:01just hate to say this but a lot of the splash back or what I
- 5:05call Splash back from a lot of the Christian Ministries.
- 5:09It seems like churches are more concerned with trying to look
- 5:14like the world and entice people to come to church.
- 5:17And that's not what were called to do.
- 5:20We're not called to entice, were called to preach and teach the
- 5:23word of God. And, and one of the things
- 5:26that's just been in my car, all lately, I guess you can say is
- 5:29Is is just dealing with Ministries that are more
- 5:32concerned with people coming to church, then people coming to
- 5:36Christ. And, and that discipleship
- 5:39process and dealing with Deliverance Ministries that want
- 5:43to just see a Deliverance or have that entertainment value.
- 5:49Kind of like what you said, well ago, you know, they, they want
- 5:51to be entertained, but they don't want to disciple, they
- 5:54don't want to do the hard work. So it's some of the things
- 5:58that's just kind of been the It's time for me to deal with
- 6:00here in the last few months. What would be your advice to any
- 6:04pastors or Christians that will be listening to this micro
- 6:08series about how to overcome that obstacle?
- 6:12Well, the biggest thing is get in, first of all, get into words
- 6:15yourself and I'm not talking about trying to figure out how
- 6:18to sales pitch. I'm talking about learning what
- 6:22the Bible says about depression. And because we have people in
- 6:29our congregation Corrugations, we have people out and our
- 6:32neighbors are nice neighborhood and I were places there are
- 6:36suffering, depression, anxiety. And the Bible has those answers.
- 6:41We can share with them how the Bible teaches us as Christians
- 6:47to cast our cares upon Him. How to deal with a lot of these
- 6:52issues and whether it's anxiety, depression, or even addiction
- 6:57instead, a lot of the churches are Icing off to and I
- 7:01understand some of this but they're passing off the drug
- 7:05addictions or passing off the depressions to medical
- 7:09professionals and the medical medical professionals.
- 7:12And even the psychologist and I work alongside of a lot of
- 7:15different psychologists they call me and I call them
- 7:19sometimes and they will even tell you that a lot of what's
- 7:23going on, just in a professional field, is not dealing with the
- 7:27actual root of the problems of depression.
- 7:29And they're basically just drugging them in hoping that
- 7:33time goes by and whatever's happened, they'll heal from in
- 7:37that that's happened. Stance.
- 7:39Will the church has the answer? So the first thing is is just
- 7:44learn what the Bible has to say about the spiritual Concepts.
- 7:47That deal with everyday life that people are experiencing, we
- 7:52need to share the gospel. We need to get out there but we
- 7:55also have we also have the life, you know, we Have life.
- 8:00In our words are the Bible's full of life and there's much
- 8:03more to it and so bringing the Salvation brain Deliverance, but
- 8:08at the same time, teaching each person in and having an
- 8:12understanding of how to do life, every day is probably one of the
- 8:16most important things, and don't be afraid to speak up, you know,
- 8:21speak up and and talk about God, talk about spiritual things in
- 8:26the break room and don't be afraid to pray with.
- 8:29People in for people. And so there's a lot I'd unpack
- 8:33to stayed right there, but we can impact a lot of it as we go
- 8:36along. So that's very well said.
- 8:40And it gets to a my opinion. One of the root of the issues is
- 8:43just the humility to come together and deal with the
- 8:48relevant issues that each one of us face on the day-to-day grind.
- 8:53What is your favorite Bible verse?
- 8:56I think mine would probably be Revelations. 20.
- 9:01I forgot the actual reference number there, but talks about
- 9:05the I don't know if I can narrow it down to one out of that, but
- 9:10that God will wipe away all the tears and God would wouldn't be
- 9:15will be his people. That's the hope I'm looking for
- 9:17the time of the Resurrection, the time of when everything is
- 9:21taken care of, and that's one of the things I really kind of look
- 9:24forward to that brings me hope every day.
- 9:27Absolutely, what's your favorite Bible verse?
- 9:29Guess I'd have to say, is the shortest verse in the Bible and
- 9:32it would be he wept. Yeah.
- 9:35And I think that it brings for me, the reminder of the human,
- 9:42the humanity side of the Christ of the Messiah, God In the
- 9:45Flesh. But a lot of the times we see
- 9:47throughout at least history and even modern days, you see like
- 9:50the holier-than-thou can't be touched Jesus, who's, like
- 9:53glowing up in the air and that's true.
- 9:56But the reason he did that was because he came Year and lived a
- 10:01perfect sinless, life In the Flesh.
- 10:03And we're all flushed and we all Wrestle and we all week at time,
- 10:08so like that, when I realized that was the shortest verse in
- 10:10the Bible and I read that I wanted to weep because I felt it
- 10:16for a second that he knows exactly what I feel like, I
- 10:20don't feel so distant. It doesn't feel so far away now
- 10:23because the one who made it all understands one of the most
- 10:27common things. Unfortunately, we See today,
- 10:30which is a lot of weeping. Absolutely.
- 10:33Absolutely. Well, is your podcaster and I
- 10:37kind of come from the background of YouTube and just doing basic
- 10:42Ministry, out here from your point of view, from a, from your
- 10:46life experiences. And what do you see that the
- 10:49church needs to do better? You've got a pasture on the line
- 10:53here with me right now. You know, what would you like to
- 10:56tell the pastures in the church to do better?
- 11:02If we don't have love. Everything else?
- 11:05We bring to the table is worthless.
- 11:08The scriptures tell us that we can have information out.
- 11:13The Wazoo. We can have numbers huge
- 11:16congregations, we can have so much money that we stopped
- 11:20counting at 10,000 hats for. But if we don't have love, it's
- 11:25worthless. First forgiveness of yourself or
- 11:30holding ourselves back because we think we need to be perfect
- 11:33in order to come to the church. We think we need to like walk to
- 11:36get rid of all these sins before I show up and and just the
- 11:40transparency of and I know you do a really good job with this.
- 11:43But this is for all the pastors that listen, if my advice is
- 11:46even considered in humility, I literally say through my own
- 11:51obstacles and difficulties with some of the content I choose to
- 11:54cover. It would just be Leti and that
- 11:57love portion where it's like I'm not worried about.
- 12:01If you have a hat on when you walk in I'm not worried about if
- 12:05you know your big Burly guy with some tattoos or if you're of a
- 12:09different color or language, right?
- 12:12It worried about letting you know that I feel what you're
- 12:16going through. I've been there.
- 12:18None of us are exempt and there's a place here.
- 12:23For you. You as you are as you're coming.
- 12:27And that God loves you and he's the one who works in us and
- 12:31through us the body of Christ, in order for his will to come
- 12:34about. I think that's like, you know,
- 12:37it's a simple message but but it's absolutely, absolutely,
- 12:42absolutely. I see that quite a bit.
- 12:44You know, we is I said I work with people from the streets or
- 12:49work with people. In one of the things that I
- 12:52think are churches has been trying to do is for congregation
- 12:57Purrs. You know, we've been doing a lot
- 12:59of work out in the community and we do a roadside Prayer
- 13:03Ministry, every so often where we just go out and we set up a
- 13:07sign, we sit beside the road and the signs.
- 13:10Pretty much say stop, and we will pray for you.
- 13:12And our goal is not to fill the church up at that moment or the
- 13:16to get them to come to church. But rather to deal with the
- 13:22people and in, right where they're at and how praying for
- 13:26them? For the rad and experiencing the
- 13:29pain. You know, I was praying with the
- 13:32young lady, the other day we were outside the road and she
- 13:36pulled in, it's just had lost her grandmother.
- 13:39She just had found out that her mother had cancer and man you
- 13:43just, you just felt, you know, felt for this young lady.
- 13:48And so we and the ladies that were nearby, we just gathered
- 13:51around her and and just prayed for her.
- 13:54And and she actually wrote A letter back to the church and
- 13:59just was so grateful because she had never heard and had anybody
- 14:04to pray for her. You know that like we did that
- 14:08day and she didn't live around here but she just was passing
- 14:14through but it was that God ordained time and so I think
- 14:18it's so true. What you just said you know, you
- 14:20kind of go from here. I want you guys to challenge
- 14:24your friends, your family members, the people you Go to
- 14:27church with to have a more open conversation with Christ, being
- 14:32the center of it. The Bible says that we are to
- 14:37come together and dwell in unity.
- 14:40What are we doing to make that a reality?
- 14:46I'm edified by hearing your perspective showing your a
- 14:49unique Pastor because you really just dig into the word, trust
- 14:53God through the process. If you're a black belt, in the
- 14:57physical world and in the spiritual world, thank you so
- 15:00much for having me, edifying, each other, slowing down and
- 15:04taking the time to deal with the serious issues.
