- 0:23It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh with us inside the tree
- 0:30House episode one oh three, I'm Dan, O'Malley, along with Trade Trendholm
- 0:35and Raj Sharma my continued quest to find the piece of playground equipment that brutalized
- 0:45me as a four slash five year old. We dug a little deeper into
- 0:53that in the Treehouse Plus episode that you can catch by going to patreon dot
- 0:58com slash Treehouse. On sign up five bucks a month, you can get
- 1:02the bonus episodes each week, and that includes Treehouse Plus thirty five, where
- 1:06I shared a little bit of my rich history as a human on this planet
- 1:11with Raj and Trey and where I went to kindergarten. And in case you
- 1:19don't know, I am not a native Texan technically according to my certificate of
- 1:26live birth, because like Obama, I don't have a real birth certificate.
- 1:30According to my certificate of live birth as an adopted kid, I was born
- 1:36in Tulsa, Oklahoma and lived there with my family technically north of Tulsa,
- 1:44saying technically a lot in between the towns of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Anda,
- 1:49Oklahoma. I realize it sounds like I'm making half this stuff up, but
- 1:53I swear to you it is true. You can look at it. It's
- 1:56on maps. So we lived in the country in between Bartlesville and no Wa.
- 2:00We went to work in school in Bartlesville and it was there at Phil
- 2:06Wesleyan School where I attended not just kindergarten but also pre kindergarten. Did you
- 2:13say Phil phil Wesleyan Because that makes a lot more sense. Right there,
- 2:27this here for you, Trey. Right there, right there, there's a
- 2:34the uncle Phil's house, take care autumn, we break for kids. Oh,
- 2:49they don't rush us right over. Anyways, this is what happens.
- 2:58You need things about about your life with your best friends, is they make
- 3:01funny before the last question, before you ever went out to play with there
- 3:06for like a group of adults and they were just throwing cash down on the
- 3:08ground saying I got that one in the red hat. You know what?
- 3:16That through the obstacle. Course, as as harsh of an example that is,
- 3:24Trey, you may be onto something because as I really think back on
- 3:29my childhood, it really does it with some sort of underground kids fight club
- 3:34going on. That's the only kindergarten with the release brokeram because one of the
- 3:45other stories I told you about in the Treehouse Plus episode was the time we
- 3:49were playing tag and we were playing inside in a portion of the school that
- 3:54was under construction because they let us do that, and I got sprayed in
- 3:59the eyes with some type of chemical. Yeah, I mean, you called
- 4:02it chase, they called it the Hunger Games. Whatever you wanted to do.
- 4:08And I'm really starting to think that you guys may be onto something here.
- 4:11And this is why it's important to be released into the world, so
- 4:15you know that different kids did grow up the same way you did, and
- 4:23in fact may not have known that that there were odds and they may not
- 4:28have been in my favor. Your poor parents had to d program you.
- 4:35He just keeps running at the wall. So I did a quick image search
- 4:43on the school that I went to preschool in kindergarten at, and that was
- 4:47that Bartlesville Wesleyan School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. And uh, because if it's
- 4:57possible, does that piece of playground quick meant that I hit my head on
- 5:01still exists. It'll be in one of these image searches. I would,
- 5:04I would think, but I don't think I got tucky because when I did
- 5:13an image search for Bartlespool Wesleyan School, you know, some of the pictures
- 5:17that pop up look familiar, like, okay, yeah, that's definitely where
- 5:20I went to kindergarten. Like this one here on the on the far left,
- 5:24Wesleyan Christian School top brink did something it cuts off, but that that's
- 5:29the school. That's where I got dropped off at for kindergarten. Okay,
- 5:33kind of looks like a compound, did it Did it say Wesleyan or was
- 5:40it Branch Davidian? No, it was it was wesley And actually if you
- 5:46look at the it's kind of hard to see in this photo, but in
- 5:49this photo here that in the back right corner, that little triang So the
- 5:54front building looks a little institutional, I'll admit that. But the back building
- 6:00back there a cursor, it's got a little uh you know, it's got
- 6:03a peak on it. It looks sort of normal ish. That was where
- 6:06the preschool was, away from the main compound. Yeah. And if you
- 6:13look at this far right photo over here there it is from the backside,
- 6:15it's that so that's kind of the churchy area. And that was in there
- 6:19was I remember was the indoor playground, which now I realize was an odd
- 6:25thing, because when I eventually went to normal schools in Texas, not one
- 6:30of them that I went to, and I went to a handful, not
- 6:32one of them had an indoor playground. One that I went to kindergarten ata
- 6:39nor the air quotes, teachers and white lab coats and clipboards. You're the
- 6:47only preschool where the kids have to clock in and when your name is written
- 6:57up on the board, there's odds next to it. But yeah, so
- 7:04when I scrolled down and I start looking at some of these other photos,
- 7:08like there's some of the of the Wesleyan University that's there. I didn't go
- 7:12there, but like, some of these other photos look familiar, Like this
- 7:15one here, I remember that part of the school looks like a barn cover.
- 7:20That's the building where I first learned about Super Mario Brothers. Were they
- 7:26making you because they were giving you mushrooms? Is that getting point on the
- 7:30head and making us replumb the dungeon? No, constantly fighting turtles. But
- 7:42yeah, some of these look familiar. Some of them don't. Obviously,
- 7:45the schools I guess dated to a certain extent since I went there, But
- 7:48yeah, I couldn't find any photos of any playground equipment. Sorry, all
- 7:54the way on the all the way on the right. M h, what
- 7:58is that? Is that part of your school? What does that say?
- 8:01Visit Bartlesville, La Foster Mansion. I told you there was a work release.
- 8:11See when they say lakinta foster mansion, I hope they don't mean foster
- 8:16kids. I would think that's what it's for. I mean, I never,
- 8:22I never. I never made it into that building. Level four.
- 8:33Level four was housekeeping. Look, foster mansion. Jeez, the laquinda.
- 8:45What can we can we find out what what that is? It looks like
- 8:52it's a lakinta where they kept the foster kids. Uh. This says it's
- 8:56part of the Oklahoma Wesleyan University campus. This is where you stayed. I
- 9:05didn't stay there. Oh I never made it to that. Only the good
- 9:13kids stay there. I'm guessing. So he got the he got the super
- 9:18EIGHTE Foster Hut. This is another moment to say that on occasion, it's
- 9:28good to watch this show because then you can see what I'm what I'm giving
- 9:33their high school slogan, We'll leave the light on for you I'm more listening
- 9:43to the Treehouse visits online that Treehouse on air dot com. Let's get Jacqueline
- 9:56from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now for Indian all of your plumbing once and
- 10:00needs to give for a call to one fourth three six eight thirty eight thirty
- 10:03eight the website Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com. I was talking to Daniel Cook from
- 10:07cook Dfwroofing Restoration about this. I wanted to throw this at you as well.
- 10:11What's more important the best contractor or the best deal. If Daniel thinks
- 10:16at all like me, I'm gonna guess what his answer is, which would
- 10:18be identical to mine. And there's an old saying that you can get a
- 10:24contractor that's fast, cheap and good or a high quality, and you can
- 10:30typically get two out of three, but you can't get all three at the
- 10:31same time. So you may be able to get it fast and cheap,
- 10:33but it won't be good. And you might be able to get it fast
- 10:37and good, but it won't be cheap, et cetera, et cetera.
- 10:39And I think that's really true. What's cool, in my opinion is that
- 10:46if you're working with a good contractor if you're clear enough about what your needs
- 10:52are, they can make themselves what you need. Two one, four,
- 10:56six, eight thirty eight, thirty eight and again the website Brooks Plumbing Texas

- 11:43dot com. If I could move on a little bit from my eye opening
- 11:52childhood compared to compared to you, guys, Trey, how's your back?
- 12:00I know that's been bothering you lately. Uh, slowly getting better. I
- 12:05can almost touch my toes again. Coming from someone that also experiences back problems,
- 12:13I understand that discomfort and pain, and I feel for you because you've
- 12:18got sciatica right, Yes, I do, I have psiatica. This one's
- 12:24this one's different though it's a just right smack dab in the middle of my
- 12:28back. I may go see a chiropractice if it's something they can popp or
- 12:33wiggle out. If that doesn't work, I have a physical therapist for to
- 12:39try. Okay, the methods might be a little unorthodox to something that you've
- 12:46done before, but I know that with back issues you'll try pretty much anything
- 12:50to see if it works. Right. Yes, So here's her contact info
- 12:54for the new physical for you, and you gotta give him that huck dude,
- 13:00spend all that night. Like I said, some of the modalities and
- 13:03the methodologies might be a little unorthodox, but I say give it a whirl.
- 13:09H It's a continuing education program that you have you been doing anything else
- 13:16for your back? Trying to yoga? Mm? Yeah, all right,
- 13:24that's uh. I'm I'm I'm Indian and I don't even do that. Uh
- 13:30we invented it. I do know that when you've got back problems, and
- 13:35you've had back problems long enough, you will try just about anything and everything
- 13:43up to like, especially if you're trying to avoid you know, surgery,
- 13:46you'll try pretty much everything physical therapy, a chiropractor, stretching, whatever else
- 13:52there might be, accu acu pressure, acupuncture, I've tried that, cupping,
- 13:58I've tried that. And to be honest with you, Trey, I
- 14:03too have tried yoga at different times, gotcha. Yeah, I'm there's some
- 14:09times where I'm really glad there aren't cameras around, and me trying to do
- 14:13yoga is one of them. Yeah, because because you know, it's a
- 14:16So I found this YouTube channel, you know, Yoga with Adrian and uh
- 14:20oh yeah, the lady with the dog. Yeah yeah, And I almost
- 14:24said I've done it with her, but no, I mean I've I've I've
- 14:28watched and done yoga along with her. Yeah. It's uh you know.
- 14:33But the the problems is is even when they talk about, oh, yoga
- 14:37for beginners, they still expect you to have a certain knowledge that you know,
- 14:41I simply don't possess. So it's a and a certain level of flexibility.
- 14:46Yeah. Yeah, it's like a demented game of twister at times.
- 14:50So that actually is a perfect description to my first time trying yoga. So
- 14:56what I should have done, was, like you did, Trey, start
- 14:58with you yoga with the Yoga with Adrian type of thing instead. Back when
- 15:05my now wife and I first met and we had first moved in together,
- 15:09we were doing P ninety X. And I don't know if you guys realize
- 15:13this, but one of the one of the DVDs P ninety X was yoga,
- 15:20and the P ninety X dudes don't do anything half assed, So the
- 15:24P ninety X yoga was not gentle. There was no easing into it.
- 15:28It was like an hour and a half hardcore yoga session. And around the
- 15:35thirty thirty five minute mark, I got stuck. And I'm not exaggerating this.
- 15:41The position that we were supposed to be in was like you get into
- 15:46a lunge right, so you've got the knee bent on the front, your
- 15:48back leg is straight. That's easy enough, I can, but then I
- 15:54had so I had my right leg forward, left leg back, and then
- 15:58you put your hands together like you're praying. It worked, which made sense
- 16:00because I was. And then you were supposed to twist your upper body and
- 16:07put this elbow outside party of your leg that's sticking out front. So they're
- 16:11calling like a lunge with a prayer twist or something. All I know is
- 16:15I hiccuped or something. As soon as I got into the position as best
- 16:19as I possibly could, and then I couldn't move. I just stuck.
- 16:22I got stuck. I couldn't unclench. See what my lovely wife did to
- 16:29help me out of that position. She just took her finger, put it
- 16:32on my shoulder and just tipped me on over. Isn't that like an like
- 16:37a Warrior three is not the stance. I don't know that you were in.
- 16:42I think the Warrior three is with me. Did you get physically stuck
- 16:45or was like a flashback to your childhood if you're stuck in the box with
- 16:49praying. Maybe it was a combination of the two. It makes sense.
- 16:56Yoga will bring out the demons deep inside you. Yeah, and I love
- 17:00I mean and and you know, for for the West to take on yoga's
- 17:06is so wonderful, But then you always have to get that one group of
- 17:08white folks that's like, let's make it extreme. I'm like, extreme and
- 17:11yoga don't really go in the same I must. Yeah. So the fact
- 17:22that P ninety X, which is to as my friend Greg barn said,
- 17:26is the only DVD that you would use to want to get prison strong,
- 17:33That's what that's what it came out like at the end of the ninety takes,
- 17:37you were ready to jail house fight. So yoga to that, it's
- 17:44just hilarious to me. There was something terrifying though, in the realization that
- 17:49I was doing and I should say attempting yoga and I got and as after
- 17:56my wife pushed me over, which technically worked, it got me unstuck.
- 18:00It just didn't feel like the sweetest way to go about it. I thought
- 18:06to myself, if my younger self were watching me right now, no,
- 18:11embarrassed, really yeah, like that not the younger you that ran headfirst into
- 18:18a building. Now that that one wouldn't have understood. Uh No, more
- 18:22like more like teenager, like high school age. You know, like when
- 18:26in your high school maybe maybe person of college age, where you think you
- 18:32know everything at the whole teenager mentality, you think you know everything, you
- 18:34know more than everybody else, You think you're you're you're indestructible, all that
- 18:38type of stuff, gotcha. Okay, yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
- 18:45And that was really one of the moments that adult life where I would
- 18:48have been embarrassed in front of my younger self. Interesting, okay, just
- 18:52for the the for getting stuck in the yoga post. Yes, yeah,
- 18:56okay, yeah. I my ex is a yoga instructor, my ex ex
- 19:03girlfriend and you remember her. Yeah, she is a yoga instructor. And
- 19:07when we were we lived in California, she invited me to take yoga with
- 19:11her and I realized I was the only Indian person in that class, and
- 19:14I was like, I gotta gotta rep my people. And about four minutes
- 19:19in I left. Uh so you basically just signed in and left? What's
- 19:27the lights went down? No? No, I mean we got the we
- 19:30it was hot yoga and uh or as they call it India yoga. Uh,
- 19:41it was hot yoga. And at the four minute mark, I don't
- 19:45know what same thing, don't know what position I was in, but I
- 19:48did say out loud and I was told shush because she was next to me.
- 19:52I was like, I can't do this and I was told to shush
- 19:56and I was like, well, fu, I'm leaving, and I left.
- 20:02I just went and sat outside. I think I went to a CBS
- 20:06and got like a like a six pack of beer and just wait wait for
- 20:11everybody else to get out. But yeah, I was over. I was
- 20:12done that was my last foray into yoga. Would have been perfect if you
- 20:17went over to the CVS and picked up a six pack. If not,
- 20:18must stay I p a with that shirt that just now, I must stay
- 20:26here and drink tray. Have you ever had that moment where as an adult
- 20:32thing and thought my younger self would be really embarrassed. Oh, every every
- 20:37day of my life. I mean from the fact I don't drink anymore to
- 20:44go that I need glasses to read anything. I used to bust my dad's
- 20:48balls on that, or especially god, my younger self would get up and
- 20:52leave when I have to pull my phone out at the restaurant to look at
- 20:56the menu to use the flashlight. Yeah, that's a good one. Uh.
- 21:00Or do you have the app, the reader app? So in case
- 21:03you forgot your readers, you can use the app and you can magnify.
- 21:07So no, I did not know of this. Yeah, it's it's it's
- 21:10well now, Well, now it sounds like you're about to get something new
- 21:11that your younger self is embarrassed about. Yeah. I think the younger self
- 21:15being embarrassed is the first time I went into a club and I was like,
- 21:18it is so loud, that's when like twenty one year old me would
- 21:23have been like, you're a bitch walking into a Metallica show asking where the
- 21:30where you can buy some earplugs. That's the drowning pool. The first thing
- 21:34I did was ask for ear plugs. People ready to rock out them like
- 21:41it's they're very loud musicians. Yeah, or as I'm climbing, I'm climbing
- 21:45in bed at nine o'clock. My younger self would just hang their head in
- 21:48shame and just and just run away. Yeah, because Core at nine pm
- 21:56was just thinking about pregaming, not even the night yet. Oh yeah,
- 22:03that is true. I remember leaving. We would leave to go to the
- 22:06club at like eleven pm. That's that was the time to go out.
- 22:11Yeah, they is now at eleven pm. That's when I wake up to
- 22:15take my first p I wish that wasn't true, But it's visit us online
- 22:29at freehouse on air dot com eight three three cook df W. That's the
- 22:42phone number to call cook df W Roofing and Restoration for your free roof inspection.
- 22:48And that's the number you call to get on what I am calling the
- 22:52cook list. The cook list is the list that you can get on where
- 22:56Daniel and carry Cook will call you once per year and schedule you for that
- 23:00free roof inspection. We'll call you and they'll walk around your property take a
- 23:03look at any issues may have as well. Now, speaking of walking around
- 23:07and being on roofs Daniel, I saw a story the other day about a
- 23:12lobster lady from Maine who still works runs her own boat. She's one hundred
- 23:18and four years old and says, I'm still the boss. I couldn't help
- 23:22but think of you and wonder at one hundred and four, if Daniel makes
- 23:27it to that glorious age, is he's still going to be up on the
- 23:30roof saying I'm the boss? Uh, part of me saying absolutely not.
- 23:34But then in the back of my head I can see that I'm probably want
- 23:38to do something and within working and still because the worst thing if you make
- 23:45it to one hundred four, God bless you, first of all, my
- 23:47goodness. Second of all, I've read so many articles and I've seen I've
- 23:52seen this firsthand. When you kind of stop in your age and you stop
- 23:56getting out and you stop having us you know things to do and having you
- 24:00know the same you know items that you are used to having to. I
- 24:04think your body just shuts down, and I don't think it's good for you.
- 24:07And hey, I pulled this lady. She's out here hustling every day,
- 24:11still making an item to go out and work and keep her systems working.
- 24:18I mean, heck again, God bless her man me. I don't
- 24:22know the roofs. So that's a difficult deal. Then that's true. I
- 24:23did. I did take into account industry. She's on a boat on the
- 24:27water. No, lobstering is not easy. No, but she's also not
- 24:32up on roofs every day. Yeah. Now, hey, maybe maybe I
- 24:34just go and walk around the projects with my part with my PMS at that
- 24:38time, and maybe I'll introduce myself to some clients, you know, oversee
- 24:44some projects. I could see that being something you could do in a hundred

- 25:45that have that has been going on in the world over the holiday weekends.
- 25:48So let's dive in, shall we. And I he that reads eerily familiar
- 25:59to one of my all time favorite movies. Four shark attacks reported at South
- 26:08Padre Island during fourth of July weekend. Yeah, m the whole kept waiting
- 26:15for the Mayor of South Padre to go We're not closing the beaches. It
- 26:19wasn't based on the photos. A couple of the photos I saw, Yeah
- 26:25it was. I saw. I don't know if it was a lady or
- 26:27a dude or whatever. I saw somebody's leg in from one of the shark
- 26:33attacks. Who no longer had a calf, like the bone was still there,
- 26:37but a chunk was taken out of her calf. Yeah. I saw
- 26:42some of like some footage of people that were just filming the water and every
- 26:48wave that came in you could see the sharks, which means don't don't go
- 26:52in the water. Yeah. Yeah, they haven't many movies telling you about
- 26:56that. Brought you four four in the same day. We're travels, like,
- 27:04you know, after the first one, you go, if you know
- 27:07what, I can just hang out on the beach. Yeah, you know
- 27:11what's nice. Sand a buddy of mine who's his sister is a swimmer and
- 27:18she will go to visit him in Venice Beach and she always gets in the
- 27:22water and he is only he says, he goes ankle deep and that's as
- 27:26far as he will go into the ocean. And she always yells at him.
- 27:29She's like, you're just such a baby. That's you know, shark
- 27:32attacks are rare. He goes where you are rare where I am. Never
- 27:38hard to argue with that, especially if if you were swimming in the water
- 27:42around Padre Island over the weekend. I mean, it really is like four.
- 27:47I'm sorry, one one in one day. I'm not I'm not going
- 27:52in past past my ankles. I will revert to five year old me going
- 27:56to the beach for the very first time on a family vacation and probably neglectfully
- 28:02so and definitely irresponsibly. So I was allowed to watch Jaws at that age.
- 28:07I did not go in the ocean past my ankles. I was so
- 28:10scared. All I did was un hang on on the beach and collect seashells.
- 28:15That's when childhood. You is sad about childhood you it's not even a
- 28:22DoPT you know, that's just sad. Yeah, I just never. I
- 28:29don't understand the ocean. I don't understand why you need a skydive. I
- 28:33don't understand any of that stuff. Like you'll never hear you'll never see the
- 28:37headline comedian rash Arma attacked by shark. Never unless it unless it's like a
- 28:41loan shark or a pool shark. There's like, like, oh, somebody
- 28:45money, that's the only time shark is going to attack me. Not gonna
- 28:51happen. That's their hood. I stay out of their hood. And that's
- 28:56one of the things I don't mind about here with the Caribbean waters is you
- 29:02know, there are dangerous sharks here, but they're way farther out in deeper
- 29:07waters, and if they were to ever in close to shore, you can
- 29:12see them really, really well because the water's so clear. But I've also
- 29:17been told that one of the reasons why the water's so clear here is because
- 29:18there's not a whole lot of nutrients in the water. And when there's not
- 29:22a whole lot of nutrients in the water, there's not a whole lot of
- 29:26fish. So in order to get good stuff fishing wise, you have to
- 29:29go way far out to either the North Drop or the South Drop, and
- 29:33that's you know, not close whereas it, say Padre, where the water's
- 29:37kind of brown, nutrient rich, which means lots of fish, which means
- 29:41sharks. Yeah, and you want to ever see me fishing. I've never
- 29:47done that before. Don't feel the need to do that. About to be
- 29:48forty nine, not going to start today, So I'm good. I'm good.
- 29:53Where the I like the sand I like the the sun, like a
- 29:56blutle blanket, maybe a sandwich of the day. A packed beach in a
- 30:02swell of July holiday, loads of people waiting in Gulf of Mexico waters enjoying
- 30:07some warmer than usual surf ahead of hurricane's arrival. Just beyond the swimmers,
- 30:11an eager and hungry shark lurk jaws played out in real life around eleven am
- 30:18on Thursday close to Beach Access number four on South Padre Island. I bet
- 30:22that's a cool shirt. Beach Access number fourteen anyway. Jaws played out real
- 30:33life close to Beach Access number fourteen on South Padre Island as what's believed to
- 30:37be a single shark. Four people in the Gulf. Of those attacked,
- 30:41two were bitten, one severely on the leg. Off duty Border Patrol agents
- 30:45from the Search, Trauma and Rescue unit pulled the leg bite victim out of
- 30:48the water and applied to tourniquet. Two victims were sent for medical evaluation,
- 30:52while one was flown out of Brown Area for additional treatment. Another of the
- 31:00four victims, an eighteen year old woman named Victoria, was injured after the
- 31:03shark's teeth scratched her leg. Her parents told CNN that her wounds were not
- 31:07deep and that she would receive a tetanus shot, but that was probably more
- 31:11from the water, not the shark from one of the needles that floated by.
- 31:21I feel like even sharks, sharks are just getting desperate if they're going
- 31:25to Padre, you know it's the Gulf of Mexico. When Border patrol shows
- 31:33up for a shark. You're listening to the Treehouse visitor is online at treehouse

- 32:07com. I love the headline though of that story where it I think it
- 32:15was on the Houston Chronicle, It said should Texans be worried about or shark
- 32:21attacks in one day? Or no? I'm sorry. It says after South
- 32:25Padre Island shark attack, how much should Texans worry as the four people that
- 32:34got bit? Anyways, there are other things that happened over the weekend and
- 32:44last week that are almost too stupid to believe, and that's what we really
- 32:50thrive upon here in the Treouse, such as my favorite story over the last
- 32:57week, as found one and only Trade Trenholme with the headline woman uses hand
- 33:05grenade as hammer for twenty years, lives to tell the tail. When I
- 33:13first saw the headline, I thought it was going to be one of those
- 33:15traditional American style hand grenades, like the old pineapple hand grenade, you know,
- 33:22or the round ones you know, very obvious with the pin that you
- 33:27pull and throw type hand grenade style. But in this woman's very limited defense,
- 33:32and I mean very limited here, the hand grenade she was using as
- 33:37a hammer for twenty years was of a different origin and looked more similar to
- 33:43one of those potato masher World War two style grenades that the Germans uke in
- 33:47the day. So I guess I could see how you wouldn't automatically assume that's
- 33:52a grenade. But I still know what a potato masher German hand grenade looked
- 34:00like. And I wasn't about to go hitting that on any nails. I
- 34:06don't have a I don't have a refer I don't know what it looks like.
- 34:08I will show you give me a moment here. You know, the
- 34:15lights you would put like in your yard along the sidewalk that you know,
- 34:20kind of stick in the ground and have a little head on top that lights
- 34:22up. Yeah, with a handle. Yes, that's kind of what they
- 34:25would That was a hand grenad. Yes, interesting, here you go.
- 34:31This is what it looks like. Jaj oh. Yes, And that is
- 34:37not good. No, that's a hell of an understatement by you there,
- 34:42sir, And she was using that as a oh there we go. Yeah.
- 34:49Well. A ninety year old Chinese woman unknowingly used an old hand grenade
- 34:53to crack nuts and hammer nails for two decades. After finally exploded ordnance in
- 34:59a field. One day, the woman told Chinese reporters that she was working
- 35:02on her farm when she found this strange metal lump with a wooden handle.
- 35:07Convinced it was a makeshift hammer, she took it home and used it to
- 35:09pound all kinds of objects, from nuts to metal nails. It was only
- 35:15last week of men working on demolishing her old house noticed a hand grenade that
- 35:20the retired woman learned she'd been gambling with her entire life every time she used
- 35:24it, and she used it a lot. Police reported that the grenade's wooden
- 35:28handle had become smooth and glossy from the years of use, while the metallic
- 35:32was full of dents. And I figured you'd look at that and go,
- 35:43oh gosh, I remember playing catch at school. I was gonna say something
- 35:50the same thing. The ninety year old Chinese lady was adopted from the Wesleyan
- 35:54School in Barbleshire. We pulled from a different play bind that's very distinguished alumni.
- 36:07They're distinguished. They all survive. The graveyard behind my kindergarten looks like
- 36:22the only school that had a mandatory class about being a ball bearer. There's
- 36:30an in memoriam section on the yearbook for kindergartener God but not forgotten see it.
- 36:51I don't know how it was where you guys went to kindergarten, but
- 36:53at my school when we played war, we played keeps. You don't want
- 37:07to know what cowboys and Indians look I grew up in Mosquite. I know
- 37:13what that looks like. Oh there you have Trios episode one oh three.
- 37:21Clearly if you couldn't figure it out by now, if it's stupid, it's
- 37:24in here and we're going to play with it a lot. But kind of
- 37:28like how I did with the with the toys at my school, spend the
- 37:32bottle. That's really different. Cops and Robbers came with actual prison sentences.
- 37:49We didn't have recess. We had weekend passes. We'll see you next time
