- 0:11Speaker 1: No, not even your host Ram but Shooter. And it
- 0:16Speaker 1: is Friday, normally every Friday. Our dear friend Corey Andrew
- 0:20Speaker 1: joins us. We did just tape a show, actually, but
- 0:23Speaker 1: we had technical issues, so I'm going to do a
- 0:25Speaker 1: solo one now. Corey, thank you for getting up early
- 0:28Speaker 1: and putting in the work. I'm sorry we had those
- 0:31Speaker 1: technical gremlins today, but don't worry, Noughties, we will do
- 0:35Speaker 1: a show. It will be you and me today. You
- 0:38Speaker 1: are a great co host. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:41Speaker 1: I hope you're singing along. It is tea time. Big
- 0:43Speaker 1: story at the top of the show. Liah McSweeney's lawsuit
- 0:47Speaker 1: against Andy Cohen and Bravo heads to court this month,
- 0:51Speaker 1: so in one appears to be a first for a
- 0:54Speaker 1: Real Housewife cast member. Leah's lawsuit is scheduled for oral
- 0:59Speaker 1: our arguments later this month. The suit accuses Andy Cohen
- 1:04Speaker 1: and Bravo of intentionally attempting to make her relapse into
- 1:10Speaker 1: alcohol addiction for the sake of ratings. Now Page six
- 1:15Speaker 1: reported this first. They think a judge will hear the
- 1:19Speaker 1: arguments on October thirtieth, so that's quite soon. The lawsuit
- 1:24Speaker 1: alleges that produces exploited Leah. They knew she had a
- 1:28Speaker 1: struggle with alcohol addiction and a history of mental health issues,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but they did all this because they wanted to get
- 1:34Speaker 1: bigger ratings. Now, this lawsuit marks a significant moment for
- 1:39Speaker 1: the Real Housewife franchise, as no cast member has ever
- 1:44Speaker 1: seen their case argued in court before. We know that
- 1:49Speaker 1: Nini Lynx of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Caroline
- 1:53Speaker 1: Manzou of The Jersey Housewives both pursued legal action against
- 1:58Speaker 1: the network. However, there cases did not progress to this stage.
- 2:04Speaker 1: What do you think here? Is this going to be
- 2:06Speaker 1: explosive for Brather and I spoke to a few experts
- 2:09Speaker 1: here and they believe it's going to be very difficult
- 2:14Speaker 1: for Leah to prove anything was done against the law.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They think all this is ugly, not very pleasant, terrible
- 2:22Speaker 1: behavior on the behalf of Bravo. It's not going to
- 2:25Speaker 1: make Brongbo what Andy look good. But I don't know
- 2:27Speaker 1: if there's anything criminal here. They made the comparison. I
- 2:30Speaker 1: think it's an interesting one that the Ellen Degenero show
- 2:33Speaker 1: and Ellen was exposed as being a bully, not really
- 2:38Speaker 1: very nice, awful, awful accusations Ultimately her show was canceled,
- 2:43Speaker 1: but she didn't go to jail. There was no criminal
- 2:47Speaker 1: aspect to it. Some people argue that there should have been,
- 2:50Speaker 1: but it's really hard to prove it. The other thing too,
- 2:53Speaker 1: that a legal expert told me, and I thought this
- 2:55Speaker 1: was so interesting. Had Leia been an original cast made
- 3:00Speaker 1: and not knowing what she was getting into, then this
- 3:03Speaker 1: would be easier to prove. But Leah joy in the show,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I think ten years into it, by which time, who
- 3:12Speaker 1: did not know what the Housewives were about. I've not
- 3:16Speaker 1: been a cast member. I have been on the show,
- 3:18Speaker 1: but I knew you knew anybody that watched an episode
- 3:23Speaker 1: would know how messy and sloppy this is. It's all
- 3:26Speaker 1: about fighting and drinking. It's all about being rude to
- 3:30Speaker 1: one another, flipping tables, throwing legs. I mean, it is
- 3:34Speaker 1: a crazy circus. What did you think it were? Sixteen minutes?
- 3:38Speaker 1: Was this something that was going to be a documentary? No,
- 3:41Speaker 1: she knew what she was getting into. I don't want
- 3:43Speaker 1: to blame the victim here. I do not want to
- 3:46Speaker 1: do that. But that's the argument Bravo's lawyers are going
- 3:49Speaker 1: to make, and I think they've got a very good
- 3:52Speaker 1: chance of convincing people. She knew. She knew it was bad.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You're watching the sausage be made, not pleasant. It's not pretty.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I got to argue though, in most jobs, including mine
- 4:05Speaker 1: and the glamorous job of being an entertainment reporter a
- 4:08Speaker 1: gossip columnist, seems lovely when you see me on TV
- 4:11Speaker 1: or you listen to our podcast. But the actual making
- 4:15Speaker 1: the sausage, the behind the scenes process that goes into
- 4:19Speaker 1: bringing you small stories, big stories, any type of stories,
- 4:23Speaker 1: it's not that pretty, and a lot of shady people
- 4:26Speaker 1: are involved. Well, I don't think Bravo has to worry
- 4:29Speaker 1: here illegally. I don't think Andy's going to prison. I
- 4:31Speaker 1: don't think Bravo is going to get canceled. But I
- 4:34Speaker 1: do think in the court of public opinion, after people
- 4:38Speaker 1: see how ugly this process is, how these ladies were treated,
- 4:43Speaker 1: the sort of emails they got. When you actually read
- 4:46Speaker 1: their contracts, because all this will be exposed, you see
- 4:49Speaker 1: that they're not earning the money they pretended they were earning,
- 4:52Speaker 1: no nowhere any of the type of money that's been
- 4:55Speaker 1: leaked in the press. They were working really hard for
- 4:58Speaker 1: a good wage, but they were not treated that. Well,
- 5:02Speaker 1: anybody that's worked in a toxic work environment, and I'm
- 5:07Speaker 1: afraid to say I think that's a lot of us.
- 5:09Speaker 1: It's terrible to admit it, but if you've worked in
- 5:11Speaker 1: a toxic place, that's what it's like working for Andy
- 5:15Speaker 1: or Bravo on The Real Housewives. Now, some of the
- 5:18Speaker 1: ladies would say it's fabulous, they've been treated with nothing
- 5:21Speaker 1: but respect. Good for you, But we also know a
- 5:24Speaker 1: lot of the ladies would say this was awful. It
- 5:27Speaker 1: was absolutely awful. But it's no different from other reality shows.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Some are better than others. Some of the girls on
- 5:34Speaker 1: RuPaul's Drag Race told me that that was not a
- 5:37Speaker 1: really pleasant experience. You're there to make TV. It's not
- 5:40Speaker 1: about making friends with Andy, it's not about making friends
- 5:45Speaker 1: with cast members. It's about making a product that's a
- 5:48Speaker 1: toxic product. So the process is probably going to be
- 5:50Speaker 1: toxic too. And we're going to find out all these details.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, it's going to be a really
- 5:54Speaker 1: juicy month. I'm looking forward to it in a perverse
- 5:57Speaker 1: sort of way. We're going to find out everything, contracts, emails, audios,
- 6:02Speaker 1: what they were asked to do. We're going to find
- 6:05Speaker 1: all that out, but I don't think it is going
- 6:08Speaker 1: to be criminal, which brings us to our poll question
- 6:10Speaker 1: of the day. Liam McSweeney's lawsuit against Andy Cohen and
- 6:13Speaker 1: Bravo is heading to court this month. Do you think
- 6:17Speaker 1: she'll win? Do you think she will win this? Now?
- 6:20Speaker 1: She's not doing it just to get her name in
- 6:23Speaker 1: the press. She wants to win this. She wants money,
- 6:26Speaker 1: she wants a settlement here, she wants to be vindicated.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Do you think she will win? He? Go vote on
- 6:32Speaker 1: our Twitter page. I had Naughty Nights rob Our facebook
- 6:34Speaker 1: page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back
- 6:37Speaker 1: on Monday to hear your results. Now. Explosive news out
- 6:41Speaker 1: of the country music world as Luke Bryan's commenting on
- 6:47Speaker 1: Beyonce's CMA snub. He did in an interview where he
- 6:52Speaker 1: talked about all the bursts around and Beyonce's exclusion from
- 6:56Speaker 1: the CMA Country nominations despite her super successful debut country
- 7:02Speaker 1: album Cowboy Carter. He said the following, if you're gonna
- 7:07Speaker 1: make country albums, come into our world and be country
- 7:11Speaker 1: with us a little ouch. So. While he does acknowledge
- 7:15Speaker 1: that Beyonce is one of the biggest stars in the world.
- 7:18Speaker 1: He emphasized the importance of embracing the country music community.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Oh this feels really bad, doesn't it. It's not about
- 7:30Speaker 1: the community, it's about the quality of the work. The
- 7:32Speaker 1: cmas are not about who is Miss Congeniality or mister Congeliality.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It's about who does the best work. And there's no
- 7:39Speaker 1: doubt here. Even if you don't like Beyonce's music, all
- 7:41Speaker 1: my musician friends say she's the best. She has more
- 7:44Speaker 1: Grammys than anybody else. Grammys are really what shows you
- 7:48Speaker 1: the excellence in music. She has more than anybody. She's
- 7:51Speaker 1: one of the greatest musicians of all time. All my
- 7:54Speaker 1: musician friends say that, even if they don't personally love
- 7:58Speaker 1: her style of music, if it's not her cup of tea,
- 8:01Speaker 1: there is no doubt that the craft of Beyonce is extraordinary.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Michael Jackson extraordinary. You might not like him. I get it,
- 8:09Speaker 1: what he did, what he was alleged to do. It's
- 8:12Speaker 1: also toxic. I get people who do not like Michael Jackson,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but I do like his music. It's really tricky, isn't it. Well, Beyonce,
- 8:22Speaker 1: here he's being told it should be in a little
- 8:24Speaker 1: nicer to people if should turn up in their world,
- 8:28Speaker 1: then maybe they would give her an award. Who does
- 8:31Speaker 1: he think he is? That your world is the right
- 8:34Speaker 1: world and our world is not the right world, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: if we become more like you, then maybe you will
- 8:39Speaker 1: accept us. Doesn't work like that, Luke. I think it's
- 8:42Speaker 1: very clear here why Beyonce got snubbed. I really do,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and what I'm told or a little spy tells me,
- 8:49Speaker 1: Beyonce and her people have submitted her for nominations for
- 8:55Speaker 1: Cowboy Carter to get Grammy Awards. So it's very possible
- 8:59Speaker 1: here the Cowboy Carter is going to get no awards
- 9:02Speaker 1: from the Country Music Awards, but it could sweep the Grammys,
- 9:05Speaker 1: which honestly, let's be honest, which is the more prestigious
- 9:08Speaker 1: A Country Music Award or a Grammy Award. Every musician
- 9:12Speaker 1: I know, every singer I know, they want that Grammy.
- 9:15Speaker 1: They want to say they are a Grammy Award winning artist.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Beyonce I think it's going to get the last laugh here.
- 9:20Speaker 1: But Luke I was shocked when I when I found
- 9:22Speaker 1: out he was talking out about Beyonce snub I was like, Oh,
- 9:26Speaker 1: what a good idea. He's definitely going to defend the
- 9:29Speaker 1: quality of Beyonce and say it was a mistake he
- 9:32Speaker 1: didn't he defended the Country Music Awards, blaming her, blaming
- 9:37Speaker 1: Beyonce for not making enough effort to become part of
- 9:42Speaker 1: his world. Does he think he is okay? Moving along?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Aubrey O'Day suggests that Elon Musk's friends, not Elon himself,
- 9:50Speaker 1: but his friends knew all about Sean Didy Combs. So
- 9:55Speaker 1: Aubrey has reunited a conversation surrounding Shawn Diddy Combs and
- 10:00Speaker 1: his relationship with billionaires and people in the inner cirtle
- 10:04Speaker 1: of Elon Musk. She suggests that some of Musk's friends
- 10:09Speaker 1: were aware of all the disturbing allegations and this all
- 10:13Speaker 1: sort of blew up when Eli trying to punt away
- 10:17Speaker 1: from this, trying to punt away from his friendship with Diddy,
- 10:20Speaker 1: put a bit of distance between him and did he
- 10:22Speaker 1: He tweeted the headline did he abused a nine year
- 10:26Speaker 1: old boy and spike in drinks with horse tranquilizers? As
- 10:30Speaker 1: many as one hundred and twenty victims come forward, and
- 10:33Speaker 1: then Eli asked, quote, how many people in the music
- 10:36Speaker 1: business and entertainment business knew about this? Well, Aubrey saw this,
- 10:40Speaker 1: and she responded saying, ask your friends, Eli, they will
- 10:43Speaker 1: tell you. Aubrey o'dae is so brave. I've known her
- 10:47Speaker 1: for a long time, since she was in Didy's girl group,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and at one point, not so long ago, she tried
- 10:54Speaker 1: to warn us. She tried to raise red flags about Diddy,
- 10:58Speaker 1: and we just ignored her. Worse than that, we make
- 11:00Speaker 1: fun of her. We said, oh, she's crazy. Whenever somebody
- 11:03Speaker 1: calls you crazy, you're not. They don't want to hear
- 11:06Speaker 1: what you got to say, so they dismiss you. Oh
- 11:09Speaker 1: she's silly, she's crazy. No, she was right all along.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And now I think we owe Aubrey an apology. She
- 11:16Speaker 1: was trying to tell us about Diddy and we just
- 11:19Speaker 1: did not listen. Well, now are listening, and now she's
- 11:23Speaker 1: going to reveal all okay quickly before we get a break.
- 11:27Speaker 1: This story is heartbreaking. We have to cover it. It
- 11:30Speaker 1: probably should have been the lead of the show, but
- 11:31Speaker 1: I like to start the show with something. Get a
- 11:33Speaker 1: little bit more optimistic. I know why you come to me.
- 11:35Speaker 1: You love your celebrity gossip, but you love your optimism.
- 11:38Speaker 1: The naughties and one of the most optimistic positive group
- 11:44Speaker 1: of listeners on the podcast Spectrum. We like nice stories,
- 11:49Speaker 1: so I always am careful when bringing you a really,
- 11:53Speaker 1: really tragic, disturbing story to not put it quite so
- 11:58Speaker 1: close to the top of the show. We have to
- 12:00Speaker 1: cover this story. It is blowing up and it's not
- 12:02Speaker 1: going anywhere. Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault
- 12:06Speaker 1: and battery by a former hair stylist. So Country star
- 12:10Speaker 1: superstar Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault and
- 12:15Speaker 1: battery by a woman who claims that she worked as
- 12:18Speaker 1: his hairstylist and makeup artist. The woman, who is identified
- 12:23Speaker 1: as Jane Row, filed a lawsuit in California alleging the Brooks,
- 12:27Speaker 1: who is sixty two years old, committed multiple acts of
- 12:30Speaker 1: sexual misconduct in twenty nineteen so. According to CNN, who
- 12:36Speaker 1: broke this story, the lawsuit includes claims that Brooks exposed
- 12:41Speaker 1: himself and engaged in inappropriate behavior and ultimately assaulted her.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The complaint details are alarming, alleging that he grabbed her
- 12:53Speaker 1: hands and he forced them onto his genitals. It's also
- 12:57Speaker 1: alleged that in a hotel room he raped her in
- 13:02Speaker 1: Los Angeles when she was doing his makeup for a
- 13:05Speaker 1: Grammy tribute performance. This is shocking allegations. The whole music
- 13:11Speaker 1: industry is buzzing with this. Goth Had has a reputation
- 13:17Speaker 1: of being one of the good guys. I've never heard
- 13:20Speaker 1: any stories about God, but that doesn't mean this is
- 13:24Speaker 1: not true. Now, Garth's people and Garth have spoken out
- 13:28Speaker 1: saying basically they're being blackmailed. Here he said it was
- 13:31Speaker 1: like having a loaded gun waved in his face. Let
- 13:33Speaker 1: me read his statement quote, for the last two months,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I have been harassed to no end with threats, lies,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and tragic tales of what my future would be if
- 13:48Speaker 1: I did not write a check for many millions of dollars.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It has been like having a loaded gun waved in
- 13:56Speaker 1: my face. So both here is clearly saying this is
- 13:59Speaker 1: a shakedown, This is blackmail. That she approached him his
- 14:04Speaker 1: team months ago, he said, for the last two months,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and she made it clear that if he didn't give
- 14:09Speaker 1: her a big check he said, many many millions, she
- 14:12Speaker 1: was going to go public with these alarming, alarming allegations. Now,
- 14:18Speaker 1: just because she approached him does not mean that it
- 14:21Speaker 1: was blackmail. We have to look at this very very carefully,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and that's what's going to happen here, So hold judgment
- 14:28Speaker 1: for a moment. Garth is saying absolutely not true. She's
- 14:32Speaker 1: saying she's got proof of this, she's got the receipts
- 14:34Speaker 1: of this, and the truth will ultimately come out. Positions
- 14:40Speaker 1: of power, people, particularly men in positions of power. We've
- 14:45Speaker 1: seen this story so many times. I thought Matt Lower
- 14:50Speaker 1: was one of the greatest guys in the world. I've
- 14:52Speaker 1: known Matt for a decade and I really liked him.
- 14:54Speaker 1: He was funny and charming, a handsome, generous kind And
- 14:58Speaker 1: when the allegations broke about mad I couldn't get my
- 15:01Speaker 1: head around the person that I thought I knew and
- 15:04Speaker 1: the person I was being told revealed who he really was.
- 15:10Speaker 1: It was absolutely heartbreaking. Could this be the same with
- 15:15Speaker 1: Garth Brooks. We're going to find out soon. Hey, We're
- 15:18Speaker 1: going to take a quick break and we will be
- 15:21Speaker 1: right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I am a rubb shooter. Hey, let's get to the polls
- 15:29Speaker 1: that d dare Now shall we talked about Wendy Williams
- 15:32Speaker 1: saying it's about time that did he face this justice.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So Wendy had been raising the red flag about did
- 15:38Speaker 1: he like all Briode? For a decade, since the nineties,
- 15:42Speaker 1: Wendy had told us she knew stuff about did Hey. Well,
- 15:44Speaker 1: finally it seems like Wendy is being vindicated. What do
- 15:49Speaker 1: you think has she been vindicated? Let's have a look.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Eighty seven percent said yes, Wendy has been vindicated. I agree.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Listen to people. Listen to people when they tell you
- 16:03Speaker 1: something you don't want to hear, give them the benefit
- 16:08Speaker 1: of the doubt. Hey, don't forget to vote on today's
- 16:11Speaker 1: pole god a Twitter page ad Naughty Niz Robb or
- 16:13Speaker 1: at Facebook page which is Naughty Gossip, and be sure
- 16:17Speaker 1: to check back on Monday to hear your results. And
- 16:21Speaker 1: now it's time for our nicest of the day. Well
- 16:24Speaker 1: this is going to make some people a little angry,
- 16:26Speaker 1: but stick with me if you can, Norty. So, Sarah Paulson,
- 16:29Speaker 1: a very respected actress, is defending Kim Kardashian's acting skills,
- 16:34Speaker 1: saying quote, it's time people took her seriously. So Sarah
- 16:38Speaker 1: is standing up for her co star Kim Kardashian, declaring
- 16:41Speaker 1: that it's time for audiences to embrace the reality stars
- 16:45Speaker 1: acting Korea. Sarah's known for stellar performances, award winning performances
- 16:50Speaker 1: on The American Horror Story and many other places, has
- 16:54Speaker 1: nothing but praise for Kardashian's work. She said the following quote,
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think it's absolutely time for people to take Kim
- 17:02Speaker 1: seriously as an actress. She was absolutely excellent in American
- 17:07Speaker 1: Horror Story. Well, if anybody would know it is Sarah.
- 17:10Speaker 1: She's a brilliant, brilliant actress. They are going to reunite
- 17:15Speaker 1: on a new show. I'm told Kim's performance is even better.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's hard when you put somebody in a box to
- 17:21Speaker 1: take them out of that box. I know it, I
- 17:24Speaker 1: get it, and so we've all put Kim for a
- 17:26Speaker 1: long time in this silly reality star box, which is true,
- 17:29Speaker 1: there's some truth to that. However, that doesn't mean she
- 17:33Speaker 1: can't be great at other things. Friends of mine have
- 17:35Speaker 1: seen this new movie. I think it's called The Last
- 17:37Speaker 1: show Girl, and it's starring Pam Anderson. Yes, Bay watches
- 17:41Speaker 1: Pam Anderson. I'm told she's gonna get an Oscar nomination.
- 17:45Speaker 1: It was so easy to dismiss Pam. There's been a
- 17:48Speaker 1: sex symbol as a silly person on a beach in
- 17:51Speaker 1: a red bikini running around in Baywatch. Well, I'm told
- 17:54Speaker 1: she's given the performance of a lifetime in this movie.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And I'm told Kim too is giving a room remarkable,
- 18:01Speaker 1: remarkable performance in her new project. Hey, let's do our
- 18:05Speaker 1: naughties of the day. Not knowing, King Charles missus his
- 18:09Speaker 1: darling boy Prince Harry, but Prince William is enforcing a
- 18:13Speaker 1: strict absolute band rule. So Charles is yearning for a
- 18:17Speaker 1: reconciliation with Prince Harry, who he still refers to as
- 18:21Speaker 1: quote darling boy. Ah. However, William does not want this
- 18:27Speaker 1: reunion to happen. Listen, you're the King, Charles, You're literally
- 18:31Speaker 1: the king, one of the most powerful people in the world.
- 18:34Speaker 1: If you want to make friends with your son, do it.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Follow your heart. Honestly, people, life is short. If you
- 18:43Speaker 1: want to reconcile with Harry, do it. If William doesn't, don't.
- 18:48Speaker 1: That's up to William. You can't tell other people what
- 18:51Speaker 1: their behavior should be. I think William is as a
- 18:54Speaker 1: really valid, legitimate reason for being angry with Harry. That
- 18:58Speaker 1: book was a shocking book. But if his dad, if
- 19:02Speaker 1: Charles has forgiven him, then let his dad forgive. It
- 19:04Speaker 1: doesn't mean you need to, but let Charles have a
- 19:08Speaker 1: relationship with Harry. Let's end with a moment of Rob.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You're you rub, you a rub. I love this quote
- 19:14Speaker 1: from Taylor Swift. She said the following quote. My parents
- 19:19Speaker 1: raised me to never feel like I was entitled to success,
- 19:24Speaker 1: that you have to work hard for it. Gosh, is
- 19:28Speaker 1: that the truth? You're not entitled to success, but if
- 19:31Speaker 1: you work really, really hard, it could be yours. How
- 19:35Speaker 1: often on this show do we say do the work?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Do the work? And I promise you if you do
