- 0:01Speaker 1: Why On Sky News This is Sharry.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Good Evening. Tonight we'll expose Australians attending the Lebanese funeral
- 0:11Speaker 2: of hesbl Alida Hassan Nasralla, our explosive report. In a moment,
- 0:18Speaker 2: Plas Albanizi defends China's aggressive actions in the Tasman Sea.
- 0:22Speaker 2: This is their safety. Authorities reveal they only learned about
- 0:25Speaker 2: the live fire exercises thirty minutes after they started. Rodin
- 0:30Speaker 2: Bishop and Holly Hughes would join me to discuss and
- 0:34Speaker 2: Ariel Bibbis's five year old best friend tells his mum
- 0:38Speaker 2: that he's not dead and he's just in his room.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Elon Levy would join me from Israel to talk about
- 0:44Speaker 2: this heartbreak ahead of tomorrow's funeral. Refers tonight to our
- 0:49Speaker 2: exclusive story. We can expose Australians who've flown to Lebanon,
- 0:54Speaker 2: where they've attended terror leader Hassan Nasralla's funeral. Nasralla was
- 0:59Speaker 2: responsible for the murder of thousands during his three decade
- 1:02Speaker 2: reign of Hesbelah. He was finally killed in his bunker
- 1:07Speaker 2: by Israel in September last year, and this came after
- 1:10Speaker 2: Hesbelah began prolific attacks against Israel on October the eighth,
- 1:16Speaker 2: twenty twenty three. Now, all political leaders, from the Prime
- 1:20Speaker 2: Minister to the Opposition leader have been pretty clear that
- 1:24Speaker 2: Hesbela is a terror organization and its leader is not
- 1:29Speaker 2: someone any Australian should mourn.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Well, there's no place for morning a terrorist leader, and
- 1:39Speaker 3: we're very concerned about.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Some of the terrorist symbols.
- 1:43Speaker 3: It's completely unacceptable.
- 1:45Speaker 1: They're a terrorist organization that they organized terrorist attacks.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yet Tony Burke's Home Affairs Department didn't stop Australians from
- 1:54Speaker 2: traveling to Lebanon to attend his funeral, despite the fact
- 1:58Speaker 2: that Azio confirmed to they do have the power to
- 2:02Speaker 2: do this. Sydney based religious leader Ahbed Almajed Murtada is
- 2:08Speaker 2: pictured at Nasula's funeral. He's on the left in a
- 2:12Speaker 2: photograph he posted to his own social media account just
- 2:16Speaker 2: a day ago. As you can see in his social
- 2:19Speaker 2: media posts that I'm about to show you, he had
- 2:22Speaker 2: prime seating at the funeral. He was right in front
- 2:26Speaker 2: of the stage at the center of the stadium. Now,
- 2:30Speaker 2: we put questions to Ahbed and he told us, yes,
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm a proud Australian citizen. I flew to Lebanon to
- 2:38Speaker 2: pay my respects to our beloved and esteemed clergy. So
- 2:43Speaker 2: he's proudly admitting that he flew to Lebanon to attend
- 2:46Speaker 2: the funeral of a terrorist leader. Now Ahbed is a
- 2:51Speaker 2: Scout leader. He teaches Australian youth, including children in Sydney.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Now here's another Australian mirror who's posted videos where she
- 3:02Speaker 2: smiles before panning her camera round to show that she's
- 3:06Speaker 2: also at Nasrulla's funeral. Miriam also posted this video with
- 3:29Speaker 2: the caption for Israeli jets flew above us twice and
- 3:44Speaker 2: in another post she wrote Sayid Hassan Nasrallah on a
- 3:48Speaker 2: video as you can see of Mourna's touching the coffin.
- 3:54Speaker 2: She also posed for photographs in front of many tributes
- 3:58Speaker 2: to Nasrallah. You can see that on your screen now.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Miriam posted many videos of her trip. She posted videos
- 4:07Speaker 2: as well of her trip from Australia to Lebanon. She
- 4:11Speaker 2: captured herself flying to Beirute via Abu Dhabi, going to
- 4:15Speaker 2: the hairdresser, going out for meals, and also at an
- 4:19Speaker 2: at Nasraela's funeral in Sydney. She has a children's hair
- 4:23Speaker 2: braiding business, where she claims on the Instagram page that
- 4:27Speaker 2: one hundred percent of the profits go to Palestine and Lebanon.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Then there's ishak Zaan, who's been posting prolifically on social
- 4:38Speaker 2: media from the funeral ceremonies. He also posted a picture
- 5:00Speaker 2: with a group of men that he says are the
- 5:02Speaker 2: AUSSI contingent. You can see that there, he says, AUSSI crew.
- 5:07Speaker 2: In another post, he said he arrived at the funeral
- 5:10Speaker 2: at five am. He said the stadium filled up until
- 5:14Speaker 2: there were one point four million people there. That's his claim.
- 5:19Speaker 2: In another post, he wrote, I'm just trying to process
- 5:22Speaker 2: the most emotional day of my life. I can't even
- 5:26Speaker 2: put into words what I experienced today. Crying in the
- 5:30Speaker 2: arms of brothers before even knowing their names, he said,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I'm glad I was granted the opportunity to be in
- 5:37Speaker 2: the presence of history and take it all in. He
- 5:41Speaker 2: also showed himself at the funeral along with the tens
- 5:47Speaker 2: of thousands of other people there. You can see him
- 5:49Speaker 2: in the right hand corner of your screen. And then
- 5:53Speaker 2: of Nasralla, the terror leader, he said, a giant of
- 5:57Speaker 2: a man in a Coffin didn't think I'd see the day,
- 6:02Speaker 2: nor did it feel real. In another post, he filmed
- 6:05Speaker 2: the destruction from the war and said their day will come,
- 6:11Speaker 2: God willing. Their day will come, God willing. Now one
- 6:18Speaker 2: of the other Australians with him has also posted a
- 6:21Speaker 2: lot of content, a lot of videos from Hassan Nasralla's
- 6:25Speaker 2: funeral and many from Lebanon over the past couple of years.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But then I had a look at his social media
- 6:32Speaker 2: archives and I saw that there were videos taken from
- 6:36Speaker 2: Dover Heights Park in Sydney, and Dover Heights is a
- 6:41Speaker 2: predominantly Jewish area. You can see those videos on your screen.
- 6:47Speaker 2: It was quite chilling to see that. And those videos
- 6:50Speaker 2: were taken in May twenty twenty four, and you just
- 6:54Speaker 2: wonder what someone who supports a terrorist organization like this
- 6:59Speaker 2: person does was doing in Dover Heights Park. Then here's
- 7:04Speaker 2: another Australian, Hassan Jeba. He says on his social media
- 7:09Speaker 2: that he lives in Sydney, Australia, and he's posted footage
- 7:13Speaker 2: from the Palestinian protests at Hyde Park. That photograph you're
- 7:18Speaker 2: looking at was on October the twenty ninth, twenty twenty three.
- 7:23Speaker 2: By the way, just a couple of weeks after October
- 7:26Speaker 2: the seventh. Here here is at another pro Palestinian protest.
- 7:31Speaker 2: He's holding a toddler in his arms. Then he shared
- 7:36Speaker 2: this photograph of himself at Nosula's funeral wearing a scarf
- 7:40Speaker 2: with the terror leader's face on it. He also posted
- 7:45Speaker 2: countless videos. Now we do have documented evidence for several
- 8:16Speaker 2: more individuals as well, but I'd be here all night. Now,
- 8:21Speaker 2: let's go through this very carefully. Hesbela is a prescribed
- 8:25Speaker 2: terror organization and support for a terrorist organization is banned
- 8:30Speaker 2: in Australia. It's a criminal offense to openly support terrorism.
- 8:36Speaker 2: There are also new hate speech laws which prohibit the
- 8:38Speaker 2: waving of prescribed symbols such as the Hesbela flag. Now
- 8:43Speaker 2: we ask the Home Affairs Department whether this travel that
- 8:47Speaker 2: I've shown tonight breaches the laws that prohibit support for
- 8:52Speaker 2: a terrorist organization in our country. We also are asked
- 8:55Speaker 2: Home Affairs whether they knew that these individuals were flying
- 8:59Speaker 2: to Lebanon seemingly with the explicit purpose of attending the funeral,
- 9:04Speaker 2: and if so, why were they allowed to leave the country.
- 9:08Speaker 2: We provided Home Affairs with the details of the social
- 9:11Speaker 2: media accounts. We did this yesterday to give them time
- 9:15Speaker 2: to see for themselves. As usual, we received a weak
- 9:20Speaker 2: and pathetic response here it is. Home Affairs said the
- 9:25Speaker 2: department does not comment on individuals, including travel movements or
- 9:29Speaker 2: citizenship status. Anyone suspecting criminal activity is urged to contact
- 9:34Speaker 2: law enforcement agencies. Now, Home Affairs and Bordiforce both have
- 9:40Speaker 2: the power to stop people leaving the country if they
- 9:43Speaker 2: suspect their involvement in terror. It's a point ASIO Director
- 9:48Speaker 2: General Mike Burgess made tonight under questioning from Shadow Home
- 9:52Speaker 2: Affairs Minister James Patterson.
- 9:55Speaker 4: We do have the ability to do security assessments which
- 9:57Speaker 4: would result in king the request for an individual's passport
- 10:02Speaker 4: to be temporarily canceled so they could not travel. The
- 10:05Speaker 4: fact that an organization is listed is sending a message
- 10:08Speaker 4: to society that's a listed terrorist organization and actually there
- 10:10Speaker 4: are criminal penalties for engaging with or being a member
- 10:14Speaker 4: of such group.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Secondly, Mike Burgess said that Australia also has the power
- 10:21Speaker 2: to temporarily prevent someone from returning to our country if
- 10:26Speaker 2: the authorities believe they pose a threat.
- 10:30Speaker 4: There are Australians will have a right to return, but
- 10:33Speaker 4: there is temporary exclusion orders that can be applied in
- 10:36Speaker 4: some circumstances that would control that return in a manner
- 10:39Speaker 4: which was enabled the issue to be managed effectively by authorities,
- 10:43Speaker 4: including ASIO.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Again, that was thanks to the excellent questioning of James Patterson.
- 10:49Speaker 2: The AZO boss then said he would be concerned if
- 10:53Speaker 2: he learned that Australians were traveling overseas to participate in
- 10:57Speaker 2: an event organized by a listed to organization, and in fact,
- 11:02Speaker 2: he said it's unlawful to engage with such groups.
- 11:07Speaker 4: As a security service, I'd be regardless of whether it's
- 11:11Speaker 4: listed or not, if they were going to an event,
- 11:13Speaker 4: whether of i'm extremists or known terrorists, we would be
- 11:16Speaker 4: interested as Australia's security service.
- 11:19Speaker 2: President of the Australian Jewish Association David Adler said it
- 11:23Speaker 2: was alarming that their support for HESBELA in Australia. He
- 11:27Speaker 2: said it represented a threat to security and social cohesion.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Everyone needs to understand that HESBELA is one of the
- 11:37Speaker 1: largest and most deadly terrorist organizations the world has seen,
- 11:41Speaker 1: responsible for killing people in Europe, in Thailand, in South
- 11:46Speaker 1: America and many many people in the Middle East. This
- 11:51Speaker 1: man Noustralia has the blood of thousands on his heads.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Now. I spoke to James Patterson about this is you
- 12:00Speaker 2: and he said that no Australian citizen or visa holder
- 12:04Speaker 2: should mourn the death of a terrorist like Hassan Nasralla,
- 12:08Speaker 2: let alone attend his funeral. Here's what James Patterson told
- 12:12Speaker 2: me today. He said Tony Burke should explain why these
- 12:15Speaker 2: people were allowed to travel to an event organized by
- 12:19Speaker 2: a listed terroist organization and whether he'll use the powers
- 12:22Speaker 2: available to him to block their return to Australia. This
- 12:26Speaker 2: is James Patterson. He said, if they are non citizens,
- 12:29Speaker 2: their visas should be counseled without hesitation. If they are citizens,
- 12:34Speaker 2: they should be immediately investigated for associating with Hesbelah, which
- 12:38Speaker 2: is a serious terrorism offense under the Commonwealth Criminal quote.
- 12:43Speaker 2: He said, we must send a strong message that there's
- 12:45Speaker 2: no place for terrort sympathizers in Australia. Now, this is
- 12:50Speaker 2: all deeply worrying. These are people who've been living in
- 12:54Speaker 2: Australia who clearly have a strong level of emotional support
- 12:58Speaker 2: for terrorist organization. Some of them, even the men spoke
- 13:02Speaker 2: about crying at that funeral. Now this is all part
- 13:07Speaker 2: of the reason why social cohesion in our country is
- 13:11Speaker 2: now crumbling. Let's bring in now former Speaker of the
- 13:17Speaker 2: House Bronwin Bishop and Liberal Senator Holly Hughes, and I
- 13:20Speaker 2: might just get both of your reaction to that story
- 13:23Speaker 2: before we get to the other topics. Broumwin, what do
- 13:26Speaker 2: you think about this?
- 13:27Speaker 5: I'm just appalled, I'm seriously appalled. I have to ask
- 13:32Speaker 5: the question, does this mean that there is a husband
- 13:35Speaker 5: ast cell here in Australia? Is that cell active in
- 13:39Speaker 5: promoting anti Semitism? Is there criminality going on by these
- 13:43Speaker 5: people in our country? Those things have to be investigated
- 13:48Speaker 5: and have to be answered to see the the hate
- 13:55Speaker 5: for our country and what they're doing means, are they
- 13:59Speaker 5: duals citizens? Are they entitled to remain Australian citizens? There
- 14:03Speaker 5: are so many questions, so that story answers and we
- 14:06Speaker 5: need answers to them.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Indeed, and Holly, the more I was looking into this today,
- 14:12Speaker 2: you know I showed you that post where it said
- 14:14Speaker 2: Ossie Crewe and that I was able to click on
- 14:16Speaker 2: each of those people that was, you know, each of
- 14:19Speaker 2: them again. Another Australian who was attending the funeral. It
- 14:25Speaker 2: seems like this is just being No one's got control here.
- 14:28Speaker 2: This has just been allowed to happen.
- 14:32Speaker 6: It's just another example of how weak this government is
- 14:35Speaker 6: and how they are so determined to walk both sides
- 14:39Speaker 6: of the street and speak out of both sides of
- 14:42Speaker 6: their mouth. They are absolutely letting the national security of
- 14:46Speaker 6: this country down. Bromwin is right, we don't know if
- 14:49Speaker 6: there's some sort of Hezbalas cell operating in Australia, and
- 14:53Speaker 6: James Patterson is one hundred percent right when he says
- 14:56Speaker 6: if they are non citizens, their visas should be immediately canceled.
- 15:00Speaker 6: If they're dual citizens, we should look at the same
- 15:04Speaker 6: and if they're Australian citizens, well they need to be
- 15:06Speaker 6: spoken to when they get back to the country. It
- 15:08Speaker 6: is absolutely abhorrent. It's extraordinary that they think putting it
- 15:13Speaker 6: on social media and celebrating attending the funeral of a
- 15:17Speaker 6: known terrorist is in.
- 15:19Speaker 7: Any way acceptable.
- 15:22Speaker 6: It's beyond comprehension what these people think they're capable of doing.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I just worry that there's no appetite, or not much
- 15:31Speaker 2: appetite in the Albanese government to actually crack down on terrorism.
- 15:35Speaker 2: And we heard the Prime Minister and Q and A
- 15:37Speaker 2: last night, and he mentioned neo Nazis, he mentioned fascists,
- 15:42Speaker 2: but he can't actually mention radical Islam. He can't mention
- 15:46Speaker 2: the HEZBLA. And I don't know why it's so difficult.
- 15:49Speaker 7: Why are we rats? Why are we not?
- 15:52Speaker 5: Why are we surprised? I mean the man since he
- 15:54Speaker 5: was at university has been espousing pro Palestinian courses, knowing
- 15:59Speaker 5: what what is entailed in those ideas even then, so
- 16:06Speaker 5: there was just no fiber in his body that cares
- 16:10Speaker 5: about the anti Semitic attitudes that are going on in
- 16:12Speaker 5: this country. And the merely male utterances on Q and
- 16:17Speaker 5: A yesterday were truly pic and good on to that mother,
- 16:21Speaker 5: mother of your wars.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Isn't she amazing that he's watching now? But if you are,
- 16:27Speaker 2: we applaud you very strong. Against the Prime Minister and BO.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Speaking of Q and A last night, Albanez he basically
- 16:34Speaker 2: defended China's actions in the Tasmancy. He implied that all
- 16:39Speaker 2: they'd done wrong was not giving Australia enough notice. This
- 16:43Speaker 2: was extraordinary. Have a look.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Australia conducts exercises in the South China Sea and in
- 16:51Speaker 3: the region in international waters and international airspace and it
- 16:55Speaker 3: would be better had China. So we're put in an
- 17:01Speaker 3: official protest if you like that. More notice should have
- 17:06Speaker 3: been given.
- 17:08Speaker 2: So he was comparing it to the freedom of navigation
- 17:11Speaker 2: exercises that Australia undertakes in the South China See. But Holly,
- 17:15Speaker 2: you can't compare them. I mean, the South China See
- 17:18Speaker 2: is a major international shipping route that needs to have
- 17:24Speaker 2: you know, Australia, the US and others able to pass through.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And you know this. It was just saying ships were
- 17:33Speaker 2: just off Hobart, Yes, exactly, go on, holy.
- 17:37Speaker 7: Yep, Yeah, they were just off Hobart.
- 17:39Speaker 6: And the fact that we were alerted to them via
- 17:42Speaker 6: a Virgin Airline pilot is extraordinary. The fact that we're
- 17:46Speaker 6: relying on commercial airline pilots to let us know what's
- 17:49Speaker 6: going on in our waters or just outside of our waters.
- 17:54Speaker 6: I mean, these guys, whether it's the Australians or people
- 17:59Speaker 6: that reside in Australia at at the hesbela funeral, whether
- 18:03Speaker 6: it's you know, China's handsome boy merely mouthed response to
- 18:08Speaker 6: China clearly flexing its muscle. National security under this government
- 18:14Speaker 6: is coming a very very distant priority down the list
- 18:20Speaker 6: of priorities. I don't know what their priorities are because
- 18:22Speaker 6: they're not doing anything well, but certainly national security and
- 18:26Speaker 6: at the end of the day, that is the fundamental
- 18:28Speaker 6: role of the federal government is to keep its citizens safe.
- 18:32Speaker 6: Yet this government seems incapable of standing up for Australians.
- 18:36Speaker 7: I mean, you think what would have happened.
- 18:38Speaker 6: There were forty nine flights forced to divert because of
- 18:41Speaker 6: the live fire coming from those Chinese ships. You imagine
- 18:45Speaker 6: if one of those flights had been shot down with
- 18:47Speaker 6: Australian citizens.
- 18:49Speaker 7: On board, Like I mean, it's terrifying. Thoughts, you don't
- 18:52Speaker 7: want to think about it. It is terrifying. And our
- 18:54Speaker 7: government's sitting on its hands.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Well, of course they're sitting on its hands only because
- 19:00Speaker 5: the handsome boy sees cow tows to the Communist Party
- 19:05Speaker 5: of China. Then maybe the Communist Party of China will
- 19:09Speaker 5: send messages to the diaspo here for the next election
- 19:13Speaker 5: devote labor.
- 19:16Speaker 2: So it's all about politic Yeah, I just want to
- 19:19Speaker 2: show I get to this before we go, because I
- 19:21Speaker 2: noticed both of you are in Orange tonight and Holly,
- 19:25Speaker 2: you were watching the program last night when I spoke
- 19:28Speaker 2: about how Australia was one of the only countries in
- 19:31Speaker 2: the world that hadn't illuminated any buildings in Orange in
- 19:35Speaker 2: honor of the Bibas Boys, and you took up that
- 19:38Speaker 2: clause in a big way. In fact, you texted new
- 19:40Speaker 2: southe was Premier Chris Mints.
- 19:43Speaker 6: I did, and I haven't had a response from anyone
- 19:46Speaker 6: in the New South Wales government. I spoke to Sydney
- 19:49Speaker 6: Radio a couple of times today actually both their their
- 19:53Speaker 6: morning show and also in Drive the soufternoon, and I
- 19:57Speaker 6: understand that the radio station has been informed that they
- 20:00Speaker 6: have no intention of lighting up the Opera House, which
- 20:04Speaker 6: I think, I mean.
- 20:05Speaker 7: To me, this just seems like the most obvious thing
- 20:07Speaker 7: to do.
- 20:08Speaker 6: Reclaim the Opera House, reclaim the steps, light it up Orange,
- 20:13Speaker 6: show our solidarity with the rest of the world. From
- 20:15Speaker 6: China to Miamma, to Brazil to New York, everywhere these buildings.
- 20:20Speaker 7: Are bang lit up. But nowhere in Australia.
- 20:23Speaker 6: Parliament House is lit up tonight and I couldn't even
- 20:26Speaker 6: work out what it was.
- 20:27Speaker 7: It was all these weird colored dots all over the.
- 20:29Speaker 6: Front of Parliament House, I mean, the least they could
- 20:31Speaker 6: do is light up Parliament House. But I did an
- 20:33Speaker 6: need to a bit of Labor and honestly her response
- 20:37Speaker 6: was appalling.
- 20:38Speaker 5: The point is that I was making before is that
- 20:42Speaker 5: this is entirely political. This is entirely about this election
- 20:47Speaker 5: and all the attitudes of Burke and the Prime Minister.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Everything we've talked about tonight are all geared at harnessing
- 20:56Speaker 5: votes for the Labor Party.
- 20:58Speaker 7: They're on the ropes, know it.
- 21:01Speaker 5: And the cynicism and the lack of concern the integrity
- 21:04Speaker 5: of our own nation to self serve is just disgusting.
- 21:09Speaker 5: And if you go back and look at the character
- 21:12Speaker 5: with those two people, you find why are we surprised?
- 21:16Speaker 5: Whether you go back through mister Burke's sub diffusion in
- 21:20Speaker 5: so many issues, he wants to be the next prime minister.
- 21:24Speaker 5: He does, and he is doing everything he can from
- 21:28Speaker 5: changing induspilations laws to get the votes of the unions
- 21:32Speaker 5: when there's a new context. This is again flushing his credentials,
- 21:37Speaker 5: saying look at me, with all these additional people going
- 21:40Speaker 5: on the electoral role, look at me. Letting these people
- 21:43Speaker 5: go after the funeral will get their votes back in
- 21:46Speaker 5: everything he's doing is self serving and not in the
- 21:50Speaker 5: national interest. Heaven help us if they get back.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Indeed, all right, Holly Hughes Broman, Bishop, thank you votes
- 21:56Speaker 2: so much. Now still to come ahead of the funeral tomorrow,
- 21:59Speaker 2: the heart breaking words of Ariel Bibis's friend farmer. Israeli
- 22:03Speaker 2: government spokesman Elon Levy will join me after this quick break.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Welcome back and let's bring you now. Former Israeli government
- 22:14Speaker 2: spokesman and one of our favorite guests on the show,
- 22:18Speaker 2: Elon Levy. Elon, great to see you as always.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Look, it's going to be back sharing.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Tomorrow is going to be a completely heartbreaking day Wednesday,
- 22:27Speaker 2: Israel time. It's the funeral for Shiri, Ariel and baby Kafir.
- 22:32Speaker 2: This will be a private ceremony, but it will be
- 22:35Speaker 2: broadcast live. How are you feeling, how's all of Israel
- 22:39Speaker 2: feeling ahead of this?
- 22:43Speaker 8: Tomorrow is going to be one of the most heartbreaking
- 22:46Speaker 8: moments in Israel's history, a moment we thought was never
- 22:49Speaker 8: going to happen. That we are going to bury two
- 22:52Speaker 8: children who were snatched from their beds, brutally executed by
- 22:58Speaker 8: terrorists with their own bear hands, who then mutilated their
- 23:02Speaker 8: bodies to make it look like they were killed in
- 23:05Speaker 8: an Israeli air strike that was their cover story, and
- 23:08Speaker 8: then released them in a macabre dead baby parade, inviting
- 23:13Speaker 8: families from Gaza to watch, all set to music, sending
- 23:17Speaker 8: them back with a woman who wasn't even their mother.
- 23:21Speaker 8: This story has ignited anger in Israel, a reminder that
- 23:26Speaker 8: we knew Hamas was evil, we didn't know how evil
- 23:30Speaker 8: it really is. The Bibas children became a symbol of
- 23:34Speaker 8: the barbarity of the October seventh massacre. What Hamas did,
- 23:38Speaker 8: the abduction of children, holding them for a ransom. You know,
- 23:42Speaker 8: today is a very sad day. Today the Lift Ship's
- 23:44Speaker 8: family is burying or dead Lift Shits, an eighty three
- 23:47Speaker 8: year old peace activist who was also snatched from his bed,
- 23:51Speaker 8: murdered in captivity, and sent back in a grotesque spectacle.
- 23:55Speaker 8: And tomorrow the eyes of the whole nation are going
- 23:58Speaker 8: to be on this funeral, comforting poor Yard and Bebus,
- 24:02Speaker 8: who survived five hundred days in captivity. Wondering how on
- 24:07Speaker 8: earth someone recovers from such horrific trauma.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I don't know how he will ever be able to
- 24:14Speaker 2: move on from this trauma. Now it was really heartbreaking
- 24:18Speaker 2: to see these comments. The mother of Ariel Bibas's friend
- 24:22Speaker 2: yo Av, so five year old boy, has recounted how
- 24:26Speaker 2: she broke the news to her son. Have a look
- 24:28Speaker 2: at this, Arias.
- 24:33Speaker 8: And Benasamesh Beni Berlin ex.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Arielo medi so Elana. Again, this is something that even
- 24:55Speaker 2: children are trying to process. I mean, the trauma in
- 24:59Speaker 2: Israel runs deeper. A five year old boy trying to
- 25:02Speaker 2: understand why his friends not coming home.
- 25:06Speaker 8: Yeah, children have paid a horrible price for the October
- 25:10Speaker 8: seventh massacre and the ongoing October seventh hostage crisis.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You know.
- 25:14Speaker 8: I interviewed just a while ago the wife of one
- 25:18Speaker 8: of the hostages in Gaza. His name is Omri Muran.
- 25:21Speaker 8: He's a father of two. He has been trapped in
- 25:24Speaker 8: the dungeons of Gaza for over five hundred days, and
- 25:28Speaker 8: he left behind two little children, two little daughters, who
- 25:31Speaker 8: were held at gunpoint in their home in near Oz,
- 25:34Speaker 8: only seven hundred meters away from the Gaza strip on
- 25:37Speaker 8: October seventh. And I asked the mother, Elishai, what are
- 25:41Speaker 8: you telling your children? How do you explain this to them?
- 25:44Speaker 8: And she said that her daughter, who was only three
- 25:47Speaker 8: at the time has flashbacks and memories of things that
- 25:52Speaker 8: even she the mother, had managed to suppress and had
- 25:54Speaker 8: forgotten about from the trauma of the moment that their
- 25:57Speaker 8: father was abducted. And this is a reminder there is
- 26:00Speaker 8: no such thing as humanitarian cases and other cases for
- 26:04Speaker 8: bringing the hostages back. All of the hostages are humanitarian cases.
- 26:09Speaker 8: Hostages like Alon Orhel who still has shrapnel in his
- 26:13Speaker 8: eye and is going blind in a dark underground tunnel
- 26:16Speaker 8: because he was abducted from a bomb shelter where hamas
- 26:19Speaker 8: through rocket grenades five hundred days ago. And humanitarian cases
- 26:24Speaker 8: like those who have left kids behind, and humanitarian cases
- 26:26Speaker 8: of people who are just being starved and tortured.
- 26:29Speaker 2: It's all utterly depraved and shocking. Elon, thank you very
- 26:33Speaker 2: much for joining us tonight. Really appreciate it.
- 26:35Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Now. We'll be back at the normal time eight o'clock tomorrow,
- 26:39Speaker 2: but stay tuned. Now we've got Danika di Giorgio in
- 26:42Speaker 2: the man Cave filling in for Paul Marray.
