- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Meloncats and Tambra Edge.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Hi guys, welcome to this week's Two Teas in a
- 0:17Speaker 1: Pod with myself, Teddy Meloncamps and Tambra Chan. And we
- 0:20Speaker 1: are bringing on Crystal mean Cough to discuss all things
- 0:25Speaker 1: for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, UM, which I think
- 0:28Speaker 1: will be good because we originally had you know, Renna
- 0:31Speaker 1: and Kyle And why did you not have her on?
- 0:35Speaker 1: Because too many people? One? Too many people and two
- 0:39Speaker 1: I wanted no, No, she didn't know I wanted to.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I mean, I've texted Sutton as well. We've reached out
- 0:45Speaker 1: to Garcela. We know how that worked out. Um, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: I want to talk to everybody, so it's like we
- 0:52Speaker 1: can go in with a fresh opinion. Okay, who are
- 0:55Speaker 1: you friends with on the cast? And who are you
- 0:57Speaker 1: not from? We have to talk about this after after
- 1:00Speaker 1: were interview because she's in the waiting room. Okay, okay,
- 1:03Speaker 1: Crystal are you there? Hi? Crystal, We've we've never met before,
- 1:06Speaker 1: but I'm Tamera. It's nice to meet you. I'm a
- 1:10Speaker 1: really big fan of yours. Really, I love it. I
- 1:14Speaker 1: love it because I went to you see your Vine
- 1:17Speaker 1: and oh my gosh, George County. And I'm not kidding.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Other than Teddy, obviously, you're my favorite. Like, I cannot
- 1:25Speaker 1: believe I'm meeting you. I'm and then we wore the
- 1:28Speaker 1: same dress. To remember we were the same You're making
- 1:32Speaker 1: me nervous with your champagne again. I know I'm not
- 1:35Speaker 1: going to smell my champagne. I'll put it over here.
- 1:37Speaker 1: But we were the same dress. I can't what brand
- 1:39Speaker 1: was it? I can't remember. She's asking, what was it? Jivago?
- 1:43Speaker 1: I remember, now, okay, but I actually gave that up
- 1:45Speaker 1: for a charity event. That dress. I love that dress.
- 1:47Speaker 1: When did you guys both wear you? Were it at
- 1:49Speaker 1: the reunion? Just? Oh, I wore it at the re union. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 1: it's actually good dress. I just try to win at
- 1:56Speaker 1: my ice maker, so hopefully won't be weird. But I
- 1:58Speaker 1: just have to say, like, as a viewer, I adore you.
- 2:01Speaker 1: You are so pretty, so put together, love the family life,
- 2:06Speaker 1: love you. So as we were finishing, is going to
- 2:10Speaker 1: tell you that she's always had good things. So as
- 2:14Speaker 1: we were finishing last week's pod, I said, you know,
- 2:18Speaker 1: the one thing that I've noticed about Crystal was because
- 2:20Speaker 1: I've known her for nine years. Is that Crystal not
- 2:25Speaker 1: on television is the life of the party. I'm telling you.
- 2:29Speaker 1: She walks into every room. She's having fun, she's dancing,
- 2:32Speaker 1: she's twerking, she's over the top, so much fun, which
- 2:36Speaker 1: is why I originally preferred her on the show. I
- 2:38Speaker 1: feel like you're kind of calm on the show, though,
- 2:40Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying, You're a little bit different
- 2:42Speaker 1: on the show. She's gonna see, like I'm gonna tell
- 2:44Speaker 1: you this is you know you. You texted me like
- 2:46Speaker 1: you want some like tea and whatever, and I don't
- 2:49Speaker 1: think she's so shady, and I'm like, I don't know
- 2:54Speaker 1: what I'm allowed to say, but I'm just gonna say
- 2:55Speaker 1: it because like it happened, and like I know, I'm
- 2:57Speaker 1: not it's not storyline. It just happened. But there's a
- 3:01Speaker 1: I got into it a little bit with Rinna, who
- 3:04Speaker 1: I really I love when she goes. Teddy said you
- 3:08Speaker 1: aren't like this in real life, and I said, what
- 3:13Speaker 1: hold on? I said, you're right, because I don't. I'm
- 3:16Speaker 1: not comfortable around you guys, Like I like being around
- 3:19Speaker 1: Teddy and that's why I'm normal around her. So like
- 3:22Speaker 1: how I'm acting on the shows, like I really you know,
- 3:26Speaker 1: after last year, I was like like, let go, let go,
- 3:29Speaker 1: because I'm so stressed about the cameras, like if you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: not like if you if cameras are not your thing,
- 3:35Speaker 1: like you didn't like seek that out or whatever, it's
- 3:38Speaker 1: super uncomfortable, and so watching everyone fight on it, it's
- 3:41Speaker 1: like because everyone like sort of they're not fakey, they
- 3:44Speaker 1: just level up. And then I'm like and I don't
- 3:47Speaker 1: know how to level up. I'm just the same all
- 3:48Speaker 1: the time and like I want to have fun and relax,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and so when everyone's like this, I get very insular
- 3:54Speaker 1: because I'm like I don't know what to do. So
- 3:56Speaker 1: it's actually me being very real that environment. But the
- 4:01Speaker 1: environment is always like that, Yeah, do you feel like
- 4:04Speaker 1: you're a little bit different the second season, because I
- 4:07Speaker 1: feel like sometimes your first season you don't know where
- 4:09Speaker 1: your places, you've never done this before, and then second
- 4:11Speaker 1: season you're like, ah, here I am bitches. I walked
- 4:15Speaker 1: in hopefully feeling that way, and then it didn't doesn't
- 4:19Speaker 1: work out again, But but I love that you say that. Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I was like okay, Like like Ted, you always gave
- 4:26Speaker 1: me like you were, you know, you were always such
- 4:28Speaker 1: a support, you know, support like show yourself, be fun.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, I'm gonna be fun. And it's like
- 4:35Speaker 1: that's who I am naturally, because I'm feeling it naturally right.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And then towards the second half, I really settle in
- 4:42Speaker 1: and I hopefully they'll show that. And then I just
- 4:45Speaker 1: start like because I was like, oh my camera, Like,
- 4:47Speaker 1: am I going to work and be weird and crazy
- 4:50Speaker 1: and funny? Because like in your what I think what
- 4:52Speaker 1: happens is like when after I saw on the show,
- 4:55Speaker 1: if people misread like being funny or like is so
- 5:01Speaker 1: full of themselves and I'm like, I'm not full of myself.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm just trying to have fun. And so it's just
- 5:06Speaker 1: such a mind f to you because you're trying and
- 5:08Speaker 1: I get it, you're trying to self produce yourself. Are
- 5:11Speaker 1: you worried about what people are going to say about you? Yes,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm a such a people That's who I am, and
- 5:16Speaker 1: people please, well you can't. You're just gonna have to
- 5:18Speaker 1: let that go. And how influenced are you by what
- 5:21Speaker 1: people are saying on social media? Because I see that
- 5:23Speaker 1: sometimes people post uff. You'll repost it in your stories.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I know it's affecting you. See, how are you kind
- 5:29Speaker 1: of compartmentalizing that right now? So it's interesting that. So
- 5:35Speaker 1: of course the first season and you're like, don't read
- 5:37Speaker 1: it's you know, I just I was always in a
- 5:39Speaker 1: rabbit hole. I was like, are you Like, yeah, it
- 5:41Speaker 1: was really bad. And I think also because I'm starting
- 5:44Speaker 1: on a time where social media is so severe, you know,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and so it's very hard. I was like, Okay, I'm
- 5:51Speaker 1: not going to worry about it second year, and I
- 5:53Speaker 1: still did. But it's what's interesting now is seeing people
- 5:58Speaker 1: reply to see means from my first year. It's so different.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And I was like, now I really realize it doesn't matter.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's like people move on and they remember things different.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Like I think that if I do it again, like
- 6:13Speaker 1: I would totally be fine, because I know, really it's
- 6:16Speaker 1: like it's so fleeting. But in the time, you know,
- 6:19Speaker 1: like I've never been judged before, you know, it's a
- 6:23Speaker 1: there's a learning curve there. Like back when I started,
- 6:26Speaker 1: you know, my Space was very mean to me. My Space.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I'm not joking it. My Space was so mean to
- 6:33Speaker 1: me and I would wanted to reply to every negative comment.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I wouldn't reply to the nice ones, only the mean
- 6:38Speaker 1: ones because I was so hurt because I've never been
- 6:42Speaker 1: picked apart like that from the way you look, the
- 6:44Speaker 1: way you act, the way you dress, and I was
- 6:46Speaker 1: just like, I felt so bad. I wanted to make
- 6:49Speaker 1: friends with everybody that's been mean to me. And then
- 6:51Speaker 1: I would say, after season three, I'm like, pound sound,
- 6:54Speaker 1: I don't care pick rocks. It takes a while, and
- 6:59Speaker 1: I mean I still deal with that. I always say,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you know, people were posting stuff because you know I
- 7:05Speaker 1: did that podcast with Erica, and are you getting a
- 7:08Speaker 1: hard time for that? No, I'm just getting There's been
- 7:10Speaker 1: like some people that actually really loved it, and I
- 7:13Speaker 1: thought it was fun. It was so you know, all
- 7:15Speaker 1: of these things. We got to see a different side
- 7:17Speaker 1: to all of the women that we don't see on
- 7:18Speaker 1: the show because everybody's guards aren't up. And then people
- 7:21Speaker 1: are like, well, this is just Teddy trying to be
- 7:23Speaker 1: on the show, and I'm like, listen, I am actually
- 7:28Speaker 1: so happy to be able to talk about all of
- 7:31Speaker 1: the shows. Stay out of the drama and make money
- 7:34Speaker 1: doing it and watch it as a viewer. But ividently
- 7:38Speaker 1: after you um move on from Housewives, you have to
- 7:41Speaker 1: go die, yeah, like you have to go time you
- 7:44Speaker 1: like and do anything else in life because people go, oh,
- 7:46Speaker 1: you just and I'm like, you know what, Yes, I'm
- 7:51Speaker 1: going to try to make money, like I'm making money, bitches,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I possibly can, and yeah, as you should. I mean
- 7:57Speaker 1: that's what we're not what the Husbler does, are right,
- 8:00Speaker 1: that's what we are here to entertain you, no matter
- 8:03Speaker 1: if you're on a show, not on a show, no
- 8:05Speaker 1: matter if you're entertained or not, and no matter if
- 8:07Speaker 1: I got d M s from people, like from fans
- 8:10Speaker 1: like why weren't you there? And I'm like, people are
- 8:13Speaker 1: allowed to have other friendships, Like it's just the most
- 8:16Speaker 1: bizarre concept. It's like I start the show and then
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm on it and all of a sudden, that's my crew,
- 8:22Speaker 1: that's my friend group. And if you're not together, something's happen,
- 8:25Speaker 1: something's wrong. Yeah, And I'm like, but in real life friendships,
- 8:30Speaker 1: but I have other Like I have a whole life
- 8:32Speaker 1: that you probably have friends that won't even go on camera,
- 8:35Speaker 1: that you've had friends for twenty years and like, I
- 8:37Speaker 1: ain't going on that show. Most of my friends won't
- 8:39Speaker 1: watch the show. Like, like I heard that you're cold.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm like okay, Like I just don't watch it. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 1: I mean it's it's because you are going to see
- 8:49Speaker 1: a different side. So we have to ask certain fan
- 9:02Speaker 1: questions that just kind of come up, which is we
- 9:06Speaker 1: always ask how did you get cast on the show? Casted?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Trouble because she says casted and it's not a word.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's not a word. Okay, Okay, I'm big on words.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I get called okay, well I'm not. I have to
- 9:22Speaker 1: we have to be transparent because the way the show
- 9:24Speaker 1: made it look is that you came in as you
- 9:27Speaker 1: and Kathy were super tight, and that's how it happened.
- 9:30Speaker 1: So give us the real real. Um well, obviously I
- 9:34Speaker 1: think the US have to have a connection to someone, right.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So my first call was from you, and it was
- 9:41Speaker 1: the end of March and I was sitting on the
- 9:44Speaker 1: couch in the dark and it was like lockdown, right,
- 9:46Speaker 1: everyone's like depressed. And it was literally a week or
- 9:49Speaker 1: two after and you know, you texted me said, um, like,
- 9:54Speaker 1: are you interested or something? And I said no right
- 9:59Speaker 1: away and then um, You're like why And then we
- 10:03Speaker 1: got on the phone and you were like you're so fun,
- 10:06Speaker 1: You're so love like obviously it's hard for me to
- 10:09Speaker 1: show that, but um, and I was like, I don't know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and you're like, just take a call. And then you know.
- 10:14Speaker 1: It was COVID and I remember telling Rob and he
- 10:16Speaker 1: was like, you have like this will be the one
- 10:19Speaker 1: thing you have some to look forward to in the
- 10:21Speaker 1: next six months and talked out like a phone call,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you'll be able to go, You'll be able to do anything.
- 10:26Speaker 1: So I was like whatever, I'll just you know, humor
- 10:29Speaker 1: myself in a way. But it was never something on
- 10:31Speaker 1: my radar and then they would just call. It was
- 10:34Speaker 1: like a month later again, have a call. It was
- 10:36Speaker 1: very relaxed, and then it was probably like gosh, end
- 10:41Speaker 1: of summer. Then that's when Kathy called me. Was like
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about it. I said I would do it
- 10:46Speaker 1: if you would do it. So the Kathy thing came later.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I've known Kathy for fifteen years, um, but Teddy was
- 10:52Speaker 1: my very first call and I went through the journey
- 10:55Speaker 1: with you. How is your relationship with Kathy now? Good?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Kathy called me at ten thirty last night and I
- 11:01Speaker 1: was falling asleep at eleven thirty, into which I said,
- 11:04Speaker 1: I have to get off the phone, and she's like
- 11:06Speaker 1: wired and it's good. You know what's interesting it actually
- 11:09Speaker 1: like I've known Cathy for so long, but it's always
- 11:12Speaker 1: been very sort of social. That's what I was gonna say,
- 11:15Speaker 1: Like true like close friends or like, well other out
- 11:19Speaker 1: and we chat and we have yeah, like I would
- 11:21Speaker 1: always you know, we invited to each other, like we
- 11:23Speaker 1: have a lot of mutual friends. The birthday party. You know,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm hyper social like she does. She's somebody that like
- 11:28Speaker 1: books herself multiple dinners a night and then goes to
- 11:31Speaker 1: charity event and then another event like the Yeah, I
- 11:36Speaker 1: have like two dinners tonight and like it's just but
- 11:39Speaker 1: here's the thing I do it. I think actually it
- 11:42Speaker 1: started from Fomo into like I really realized. I just
- 11:45Speaker 1: it's like energizes me that. Yeah, not like he wants
- 11:52Speaker 1: to be home at least two nights a week, but
- 11:53Speaker 1: I can do six to seven nights out Okay, Rob,
- 11:56Speaker 1: Now he's a producer, right, he's a director, direct director. Okay,
- 12:00Speaker 1: so he's in the industry. Did you have any hesitation
- 12:03Speaker 1: about being on the show. Yes, Yeah, First of all,
- 12:06Speaker 1: the whole process going through it, Teddy like he just
- 12:08Speaker 1: never thought it would happen. He was more like, he's
- 12:11Speaker 1: like I cast people day and day out, Like do
- 12:13Speaker 1: you know how hard it is to get cast and whatever?
- 12:16Speaker 1: And it wasn't like I'm like I wanted. I was
- 12:17Speaker 1: just like I felt bad because I kept talking to producers,
- 12:20Speaker 1: Like every time I hung up, I was like, well,
- 12:22Speaker 1: I'm not doing it anyway. He's like, just keep going,
- 12:24Speaker 1: like you're such a fan of the show, Like I said,
- 12:26Speaker 1: I watched Orange County from day one, and you want
- 12:30Speaker 1: to watch Beverly Hills. And I was like, and he's
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know, and Rob is not in reality he just
- 12:35Speaker 1: family films. So it was sort of a way to
- 12:37Speaker 1: like learn about reality TV. That's what we were. That
- 12:40Speaker 1: was our direction from it. But once it started getting
- 12:43Speaker 1: sort of closer, um, that's when we got really deep
- 12:47Speaker 1: into it with his agents, our lawyers because they're his
- 12:51Speaker 1: agents spization for twenty five years, so like really close friends,
- 12:54Speaker 1: and we really wanted to make sure that we as
- 12:58Speaker 1: a family, like in his career, was protected because that's
- 13:03Speaker 1: number one in my life, you know, in our family,
- 13:06Speaker 1: he's he takes care of us. You know, I have
- 13:08Speaker 1: my business, but that's our life. And um, and they
- 13:12Speaker 1: were like, no, it's really not like we know who
- 13:14Speaker 1: you are, so it's not going to affect him positive
- 13:16Speaker 1: or negative. And then that's when it was scary though.
- 13:19Speaker 1: But we really like Rob and I dug deep and
- 13:22Speaker 1: we're like, is it going to affect us? And I
- 13:23Speaker 1: always tell people like people, are you freding in divorce?
- 13:26Speaker 1: And I'm like, the show doesn't create divorce, No, it doesn't.
- 13:29Speaker 1: It doesn't. You have to have a like a rocky foundation.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Well that's what. If you're in a good relationship, you're
- 13:35Speaker 1: not going to get divorced. Well, when Crystal said should
- 13:38Speaker 1: I do this? I said, listen, if you don't have
- 13:41Speaker 1: any terrible skeletons in your closet, do it. Yeah. If
- 13:46Speaker 1: there's something you can not skeletons, if you just embrace
- 13:50Speaker 1: them and say, listen, I screwed up. I did this.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I did that. Nobody can shame you for it. Yeah, Like,
- 13:55Speaker 1: as long as you come forward, like, don't you can't
- 13:57Speaker 1: be hiding anything going to the show. He's like, that
- 14:00Speaker 1: was my question, I think, And I think my second
- 14:02Speaker 1: one was like do you ever feel unsafe? I remember,
- 14:06Speaker 1: like I like skeletons. That stuff wasn't my thing. My
- 14:08Speaker 1: thing was like, well, I like, you know, because as
- 14:12Speaker 1: a person who's not hasn't been in front of the camera,
- 14:15Speaker 1: you see like paparazzi and did I was like and
- 14:18Speaker 1: then four stories and I remember asking like, have you
- 14:20Speaker 1: ever felt like followed or I'm safe? And you said never?
- 14:23Speaker 1: And that was actually my because I had young kids,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you know, and so that was scary for me. And
- 14:29Speaker 1: it wasn't the skeletons. It wasn't like that stuff. And
- 14:33Speaker 1: then it was also just like how much is it
- 14:36Speaker 1: going to change my life? Um? And it has? How
- 14:39Speaker 1: much has to change your life? Yeah, it's changed dramatically
- 14:43Speaker 1: in some ways, and then absolutely nothing and others like
- 14:46Speaker 1: when I like I said, you have a solid home
- 14:48Speaker 1: and foundation, like your kids, you just go back and
- 14:51Speaker 1: you're like at school pickup and you know it's those
- 14:53Speaker 1: three months that you're filming. And then you sort of
- 14:55Speaker 1: I love that you say three months. You know it's
- 14:57Speaker 1: like a full year job. It is. But I'm saying
- 15:00Speaker 1: like when I'm so many jo I check out, I'm
- 15:04Speaker 1: very not social. I'm like this is I'm I can't
- 15:07Speaker 1: see you guys until February. Do you feel like any
- 15:10Speaker 1: of your longtime friends that you've had have changed towards you.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Um My long Like I'm really close with like my
- 15:19Speaker 1: friends from elementary high school, like I grew up in
- 15:21Speaker 1: l A. And they anybody changed in the attitude or
- 15:26Speaker 1: gotten jealous because that does happen, I will say, more
- 15:30Speaker 1: so people in my life and more recently who are
- 15:35Speaker 1: like the people that don't be from the beginning, but
- 15:37Speaker 1: they want to be your friend. No, they but what
- 15:41Speaker 1: about people that you knew like socially and all of
- 15:43Speaker 1: a sudden they want to be your best friend because
- 15:45Speaker 1: you're on TV now. But I think the difference like
- 15:48Speaker 1: a lot of Crystal's friends are old money I'm just saying,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and doesn't want their dirty But moms at school they're like, hey,
- 15:58Speaker 1: you know what, Teddy knows this more than I. Like
- 16:02Speaker 1: I was already that person. I was like hyper social,
- 16:06Speaker 1: dissenter every like that's just who I am. She plans
- 16:09Speaker 1: all the parties, cooks all the food, like does all
- 16:11Speaker 1: the things. So it's not like it it got more.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It's just always like they're like, oh, like now you
- 16:17Speaker 1: get to be on a show and get paid for
- 16:18Speaker 1: what you would do anyway. But I'm like, this is
- 16:21Speaker 1: I did so you're the perfect house. You're the perfect house.
- 16:24Speaker 1: But then we have to go kind of to a
- 16:26Speaker 1: harder discussion. I saw on your Instagram you opened up
- 16:31Speaker 1: about your eating disorder, which as your friend, we have
- 16:34Speaker 1: never talked about, and I was like, holy shit, how
- 16:38Speaker 1: did I not know this? Why have we never talked
- 16:40Speaker 1: about this? And what made you feel more comfortable to
- 16:44Speaker 1: share it? I mean I did something similar in regards
- 16:47Speaker 1: to what I decided I was going to change my life.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I changed my life on Instagram way prior to Housewives,
- 16:53Speaker 1: but like, hold me accountable to taking care of myself.
- 16:57Speaker 1: But I'm curious what made you decide to do that
- 16:59Speaker 1: and and how does that transpire on the show. So
- 17:03Speaker 1: it's interesting. I mean, you never so many people with
- 17:06Speaker 1: my cousins called me like we had no idea, because
- 17:10Speaker 1: it's not something that I'm just gonna say like, hi,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm having that. You know, there's that. I definitely have
- 17:14Speaker 1: some friends at knew, especially my friends that I grew
- 17:16Speaker 1: up with from middle school in high school, because it
- 17:19Speaker 1: was like built, it was developing then, so they saw
- 17:22Speaker 1: sort of the signs of it as a and then
- 17:24Speaker 1: as an adult, I've sort of managed it and that's
- 17:29Speaker 1: been my secret, right that that was my skeleton, But
- 17:32Speaker 1: it never felt that it was one of those things
- 17:34Speaker 1: where it was like like I didn't really feel ashamed
- 17:38Speaker 1: of it, you know, And I think what was happening
- 17:41Speaker 1: was that being on the show really made me so
- 17:46Speaker 1: introspective of like what is my reality? You know, and
- 17:50Speaker 1: as you know it it's pretty perfect in a weird way,
- 17:53Speaker 1: like I know that's like even saying that as like, uh,
- 17:57Speaker 1: you know, whatever negative gonna get, but like I feel
- 17:59Speaker 1: like in my life it's pretty generally good. And that
- 18:03Speaker 1: was the one thing that was like not and it
- 18:06Speaker 1: was weirdly like too quiet, and I just was like,
- 18:10Speaker 1: that's not authentic, and it would come up in moments
- 18:13Speaker 1: of the shows like like every day, you know, I
- 18:16Speaker 1: hate clothes, I hate getting dressed up, and it was
- 18:18Speaker 1: like it was the date of my existence putting on
- 18:21Speaker 1: close because I felt terrible and wait, so you felt
- 18:24Speaker 1: terrible about the way you look. So just so you know,
- 18:27Speaker 1: any time I'd ever hung out with Crystal in the past,
- 18:30Speaker 1: like she's always like the khaki short's like slides like
- 18:35Speaker 1: a buttoned down like she's just very casual and you're
- 18:39Speaker 1: very like buttoned up and like prim and proper on
- 18:41Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, yeah, I mean I but it's I'm
- 18:45Speaker 1: very prim and proper in sort of high like nice events,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know, but which like I see you in very
- 18:56Speaker 1: casual of like my ninety nine percent of my life. Um.
- 19:00Speaker 1: But yeah, it just felt like like that part was
- 19:04Speaker 1: happening and I wasn't saying it, and I'm like, you
- 19:06Speaker 1: know what, it's not really fair to like to say
- 19:10Speaker 1: my life is perfect when it's not. But you talk
- 19:12Speaker 1: about you're eating disorder and the next season. Yeah, because
- 19:15Speaker 1: I mentioned it last year because it really helped. I
- 19:18Speaker 1: kind of remember that. Yeah. Yeah, so I mentioned it
- 19:21Speaker 1: when Sutton came in my room and I was naked
- 19:25Speaker 1: and I felt I dropped to the ground. I was
- 19:26Speaker 1: covering myself and I felt so, oh my god, that
- 19:29Speaker 1: that makes sense. That makes sense now because before I'm like,
- 19:32Speaker 1: why is she mad because suttons are naked? But that
- 19:35Speaker 1: I get it now. So I just felt like they
- 19:37Speaker 1: need Yeah, they needed to they needed to know. Yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 1: how are you? How are you doing now? It is
- 19:45Speaker 1: a it's been since I was it's daily. Right, are
- 19:48Speaker 1: you in treatment for it? I mean because we're watching
- 19:51Speaker 1: Jersey and we're watching what's going on Jackie Jackie, and
- 19:54Speaker 1: it's been so informative. So are you are we going
- 19:57Speaker 1: to see that play out this season? Yeah? Yeah, I
- 20:00Speaker 1: talked about it more because you know, it comes out
- 20:02Speaker 1: on Instagram while we're filming or right before. I think,
- 20:05Speaker 1: and then, um, I think they for the girl because
- 20:08Speaker 1: I didn't talk about it much last year, so I
- 20:10Speaker 1: think it was sort of added. It was a blip,
- 20:12Speaker 1: and then it wasn't. I didn't discuss it anymore, and um,
- 20:15Speaker 1: because I posted it, someone brings it up, and then
- 20:19Speaker 1: we talked about it more and it's in general supportive.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Some of it's a little bit judge, but it's okay.
- 20:24Speaker 1: And I you know, I think that's the thing of
- 20:26Speaker 1: It's It's like any sort of disease or issue that
- 20:31Speaker 1: we have, there's gonna be a plethora of um responses
- 20:35Speaker 1: to it. And so that's what I go, good and bad.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But it's good that you're bringing awareness to it. Yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 1: for sure, we have to take a little break. We'll
- 20:42Speaker 1: come back and we're going to discuss a couple of
- 20:43Speaker 1: additional things. So I have a question, who are you
- 20:57Speaker 1: closest to on the cast? Right now? Come on? Give
- 21:01Speaker 1: it up, Crystal. I know it sounds so weird. Oh okay,
- 21:06Speaker 1: I really love Shari Oh. We don't know much about
- 21:09Speaker 1: we don't know her, and we've been seeing some of
- 21:11Speaker 1: her instagrams where she was like selling bags. Yeah. I
- 21:15Speaker 1: really like Shari Um and I actually I talked to
- 21:18Speaker 1: Sutton a lot. Okay, so how did that happen? Like,
- 21:23Speaker 1: because also we saw the first episode. I know I
- 21:27Speaker 1: heard that day sent it out, like, I know people
- 21:30Speaker 1: have seen it. It's really good. The first episode. I
- 21:33Speaker 1: thought it was amazing. Okay, So back to our question,
- 21:36Speaker 1: what's the deal with Sutton? So with Sutton, it was
- 21:38Speaker 1: interesting because I think because I interacted with her the most,
- 21:45Speaker 1: even though we were arguing, it's weird because then you
- 21:49Speaker 1: you feel like you get to know. So I remember
- 21:51Speaker 1: coming to your house once. I was like what is
- 21:53Speaker 1: her deal? I was not good with her. I was like,
- 21:57Speaker 1: why is she she coming after me? And she's like,
- 22:01Speaker 1: You're like, I think she's kind of She's fine. Remember
- 22:04Speaker 1: you were like you were kind of surprised. But no,
- 22:06Speaker 1: I said, Sutton has a very weird sense of humor
- 22:11Speaker 1: that sometimes I don't think is I mean, I'm being honest,
- 22:14Speaker 1: sometimes I don't think it's actually funny. Sometimes I think
- 22:17Speaker 1: it can be funny, but sometimes I think it's Southern humor,
- 22:21Speaker 1: which is like to kind of it's like passive aggressive,
- 22:24Speaker 1: and sometimes it's funny. Um, what we noticed in the
- 22:27Speaker 1: first episode is, um, she does something that you're it's
- 22:30Speaker 1: a little cringe, but then I mean it's very cringe,
- 22:34Speaker 1: but then she's good in her confessional, so it kind
- 22:37Speaker 1: of makes up for it. Um. But for me, as
- 22:43Speaker 1: how I was when I was with you know, the
- 22:45Speaker 1: group at the end, I'm curious if you think that
- 22:49Speaker 1: Sutton and Garcela's relationship is authentic. She's thinking about it, Oh,
- 22:58Speaker 1: I really, you know what, here's the thing and I pause.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Not because it's like, no, it's fake, it's because it's
- 23:07Speaker 1: I mean, you and Kyle are so freaking close. It's
- 23:10Speaker 1: hard for me to imagine being being able to be
- 23:15Speaker 1: that close to someone on the show. It's just personal, like,
- 23:19Speaker 1: because I'm so close to my friends, I share, like,
- 23:22Speaker 1: because the environment is so kind of bizarre toxic, Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: just so I'm always on guard. Yeah, you're smart, I
- 23:31Speaker 1: mean guess, but also how do you do it without
- 23:34Speaker 1: feeling really like I had to have my Kyle to survive. Well,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I had Diana this year. Oh yes, tells about Diana.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I love her. When she's like you need a new villain,
- 23:48Speaker 1: it's so But no, I want to go back to
- 23:52Speaker 1: that because I don't want that to just like end
- 23:54Speaker 1: in space. No, they're really good friends and they are
- 23:58Speaker 1: one of the closest friends on the show for sure,
- 24:02Speaker 1: and it's genuine, like they really like each other. But
- 24:05Speaker 1: because when I was on, they did not like each
- 24:07Speaker 1: other at all. Well that's what I'm saying. It's like,
- 24:11Speaker 1: but it takes time, Like I hate it someting last year,
- 24:14Speaker 1: and like it doesn't mean that I'm best friends with
- 24:16Speaker 1: Everyone's like, oh so glad they are a team now.
- 24:18Speaker 1: It's like like we're friends now and we're good, but
- 24:22Speaker 1: it takes time to get there, Like and people expect
- 24:25Speaker 1: the show to exist over you. It's like it's so
- 24:27Speaker 1: short lived and it takes Like I'm someone that takes
- 24:30Speaker 1: time and because everything I want to do is authentic
- 24:34Speaker 1: and so is their friendship real for sure, but they
- 24:36Speaker 1: have only known each other a couple of years. Are
- 24:39Speaker 1: you talking? Are you talking to everybody on the cast
- 24:42Speaker 1: right now? Am I? Yeah? Yeah? Who did you have
- 24:46Speaker 1: your biggest drama with this season. I mean, I know
- 24:56Speaker 1: the girls teased everything. You don't have to tell us why,
- 25:01Speaker 1: but you can say who it is. I would say,
- 25:04Speaker 1: my biggest drama is I don't think I could say it.
- 25:09Speaker 1: You can say it saying is. You don't say what,
- 25:11Speaker 1: don't don't spill the t on y, you don't say why,
- 25:14Speaker 1: Just say who you're having the biggest issues with. I'm
- 25:17Speaker 1: a season housewife. I know this, Okay. I would say,
- 25:22Speaker 1: garcel Oh really, Oh that makes me excited now, I'm
- 25:30Speaker 1: excited because you don't like her. No, I like, here's
- 25:33Speaker 1: the thing. I don't dislike Garcella. And I even said,
- 25:36Speaker 1: like Crystal, when we were filming, when you guys were
- 25:40Speaker 1: filming and I was working for extra, wasn't garcel like
- 25:44Speaker 1: friendly to me at that event? Remember for Kyle's opening,
- 25:49Speaker 1: So all of a sudden something shifted now and she
- 25:52Speaker 1: refused to come on the podcast if I was on it,
- 25:55Speaker 1: she would only do it with Tamera. So I don't
- 25:57Speaker 1: know what has transpired that now. I mean, I commented
- 26:03Speaker 1: on what she said about Kathy and Kyle. I said,
- 26:07Speaker 1: you know, I thought that was a little bit reckless
- 26:10Speaker 1: to say that because that's her sister, and watch What
- 26:13Speaker 1: Happens five and like, I think here's the thing, blood,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I think runs thicker than the relationships on these shows ultimately,
- 26:21Speaker 1: and the way she said it was kind of just
- 26:23Speaker 1: like but but she apologized to Kyle. She did apologize
- 26:27Speaker 1: to Kyle. And so I don't have an issue with Garcela,
- 26:29Speaker 1: and I want to go into this season open, but
- 26:33Speaker 1: I can't because she's to my face, she's always nice.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I don't know her. So I judge people on how
- 26:40Speaker 1: they treat me and not how they treat other people,
- 26:41Speaker 1: and definitely not how they treat people on a reality show.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So I would love for her to come on. And
- 26:46Speaker 1: that's that's what I'm saying. Like it to my face,
- 26:49Speaker 1: she's always nice, So what's the issue. It's like the
- 26:52Speaker 1: Sutten thing with me. Sometimes you have to go through
- 26:56Speaker 1: heavy speed bumps first, and like now, like I'm like,
- 27:00Speaker 1: it's great with Garcia, you know, like because I feel
- 27:03Speaker 1: like we had to go through that, you know, and
- 27:05Speaker 1: you know she had questions and whatever. But um, and again,
- 27:09Speaker 1: like you said, Teddy, it's like, I don't it's hard.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I'm a little bit different on the show. Because I'm
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm like with hold up on the show because I'm
- 27:17Speaker 1: stressed and nervous, you know, and so I think people
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't really get to know who I am. And and
- 27:22Speaker 1: then once I get through that, I really open up
- 27:26Speaker 1: and have fun. And I was like, oh my god,
- 27:28Speaker 1: this is what this is the crystal we want? You know. Well,
- 27:31Speaker 1: if you guys aren't like so scary all the time, right,
- 27:36Speaker 1: do you think that you're getting a second season curse
- 27:39Speaker 1: or you think that you're going to get the second
- 27:41Speaker 1: season better at it? Um? I don't know. We couldn't like.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I don't feel like you do anything to to be
- 27:50Speaker 1: to look bad. I don't feel like you're that person.
- 27:53Speaker 1: You're more like the voice of reason. Um, there's a
- 27:56Speaker 1: little she has a little drama at the beginning. I think, yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you do not in the first season, not first episode,
- 28:04Speaker 1: but you do some inside information in yeah, um from
- 28:10Speaker 1: all the Girl you have all the inside but I
- 28:13Speaker 1: can't spell it, but you see we politely spill it. Yes,
- 28:16Speaker 1: I know. I want to ask you a question, what
- 28:19Speaker 1: was it like to be the first Asian American on
- 28:21Speaker 1: Beverly Hills? Oh? Man, I mean it's it's pretty incredible.
- 28:25Speaker 1: It's ize how um, how meaningful, meaningful it was for people,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and then in turn it's become so meaningful for me. Yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 1: and that's been really special. And I've it's what I
- 28:40Speaker 1: was with my girlfriend a day and she's Korean and
- 28:43Speaker 1: and we she's like, you know, it's weird because it
- 28:45Speaker 1: was such a hard year for for Asians last year,
- 28:49Speaker 1: UM with the uptick of um Asian hate crimes made
- 28:54Speaker 1: us sort of really fall in love and really like
- 28:59Speaker 1: own Asian iss and we're like, let's just wear Hello
- 29:02Speaker 1: Kitty all day. Oh my gosh, did you get out it?
- 29:07Speaker 1: As opposed to feeling sort of embarrassed and nerdy and
- 29:09Speaker 1: all those things that we were we felt growing up
- 29:12Speaker 1: like stereotype And now we're like, we're cool and we
- 29:15Speaker 1: don't care what you think because like we still write
- 29:18Speaker 1: on like stationary with like you know, dolls on it,
- 29:20Speaker 1: like we don't care. Yeah, did you feel pressure about representing?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Of course? You know. Do you feel like you don't
- 29:26Speaker 1: want to overdo it, you don't want to underdo it?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Like did you feel like it was kind of I
- 29:30Speaker 1: feel like it's going to put you in a weird position,
- 29:32Speaker 1: Like I don't want to overdo it. I don't want
- 29:34Speaker 1: people to hate me even more. And you talked about
- 29:36Speaker 1: it last year that you've got a lot of hate,
- 29:39Speaker 1: a lot, a lot of racist comments. Yeah, I'm getting it.
- 29:43Speaker 1: But I'm so glad you said that, because honestly, like
- 29:46Speaker 1: I wouldn't know that. I wouldn't know that, Like I mean,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I get hate, but it's not because of my race.
- 29:51Speaker 1: It's because you know, as I breathed, ahole, I smiled,
- 29:56Speaker 1: I but I spoke, I lifted my hand up. But
- 29:58Speaker 1: I feel like it's it's a very educational for people
- 30:01Speaker 1: like me that don't know that. Yeah, yeah I was.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I wasn't raised like that, Like we didn't. I don't
- 30:07Speaker 1: hate anybody the color of the skin or their gender
- 30:10Speaker 1: or things that we don't know about that. So I
- 30:14Speaker 1: think the education for all of us is so important. Um.
- 30:19Speaker 1: We do have to end with a couple of fan questions,
- 30:22Speaker 1: which these are ones that we put on Instagram. They
- 30:25Speaker 1: ask us they want to know one. So we see
- 30:28Speaker 1: in the trailer where you said, where Erica says to you,
- 30:33Speaker 1: it's cool, too important the victims. So yeah, that's okay.
- 30:41Speaker 1: By the way, it is cool to support the Yes,
- 30:43Speaker 1: it is so so where do you stand with Erica today? Um? Well, look,
- 30:50Speaker 1: I mean as you heard, because I don't. I was like,
- 30:53Speaker 1: I was getting urso giving away stuff like you heard.
- 30:55Speaker 1: She felt like that was that if she could take
- 30:57Speaker 1: anything away, you know you on your podcast the other day. Um,
- 31:01Speaker 1: and so yeah, she's she has she's ever apologized for
- 31:05Speaker 1: saying that. But that's it's Actually it's interesting because that
- 31:09Speaker 1: wasn't about me, you know, I mean, that wasn't attack
- 31:13Speaker 1: on me. I never took that way. I'm like, whatever
- 31:16Speaker 1: you think, I'm cool, whatever, you know. Like, I think
- 31:18Speaker 1: what she meant and I'm not trying to defend her
- 31:20Speaker 1: in this moment, but I think she meant, was you
- 31:22Speaker 1: you care more about what the audience thinks in regards
- 31:26Speaker 1: to the situation than what I'm going I don't think
- 31:29Speaker 1: anybody realizes what she's really going through. The intense stress
- 31:33Speaker 1: of that has got to be like and and the
- 31:36Speaker 1: way that she handles situations, and she she's going to
- 31:39Speaker 1: go like a book, the thing that helps me open
- 31:44Speaker 1: up the most and really expressed my feel like when
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'm withholding, it's because I'm scared in this situation. I'm
- 31:50Speaker 1: not scared. That's how I feel, And then who are
- 31:53Speaker 1: do you feel the closest to right now? Like truly
- 31:56Speaker 1: you would go to lunch with off camera, well friends
- 31:59Speaker 1: with know, but like you would spend time with off camera.
- 32:03Speaker 1: She said, Kathy calls her at night, but like, well
- 32:05Speaker 1: that's pretty close if she calls you at thirty at night. No,
- 32:08Speaker 1: but that that's kind of Cathy's thing, Like Cathy loves
- 32:11Speaker 1: She's she's she's on Red Bull and fans. Kathy's not
- 32:15Speaker 1: calling everybody, but um, that she's only calling me bitch. Um,
- 32:25Speaker 1: It's funny. I really have a very I haven't. I
- 32:28Speaker 1: think I'd like to think I have a good relationship
- 32:30Speaker 1: with everybody. Um, I probably am gonna. I got together
- 32:36Speaker 1: with SHERI for dinner. Um, that was my really only
- 32:40Speaker 1: and then I see Sutton sometimes I'm Missie garcel Um.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I went on a trip with Renna. We never posted it,
- 32:45Speaker 1: we never talked about it. We want on a trip
- 32:46Speaker 1: after the show wrapped. Randa didn't post what where'd y'all go?
- 32:53Speaker 1: Like right after we went with We have mutual friends,
- 32:55Speaker 1: so they minded both of us and we had a
- 32:57Speaker 1: great time. It was so nice to get to know
- 32:58Speaker 1: Rena off camera. I know, is it n off cameras
- 33:02Speaker 1: so fun? Yeah? It was great, it was really great. Um,
- 33:06Speaker 1: do you still have the leather pants? Yeah? Do you
- 33:09Speaker 1: still have those ugly leather pants? I like them, but
- 33:11Speaker 1: I thought they were cute. They're super cute, and she
- 33:16Speaker 1: had and now she was all she does is wear
- 33:18Speaker 1: leather every time? Did you hear on our last podcast
- 33:23Speaker 1: where I said, like, she always comments on my outfits,
- 33:26Speaker 1: but she's like wearing seashells and like, well watch, we're
- 33:31Speaker 1: wearing everything you wear. Oh my gosh, you please tell
- 33:35Speaker 1: me you called her out and the leather? Could you
- 33:39Speaker 1: wearing all that? Leave? Okay? Okay, um, all right, silly questions.
- 33:45Speaker 1: But what is your favorite movie that your husband has
- 33:49Speaker 1: worked on? Is it King? Or the new one? Okay,
- 33:54Speaker 1: the new one? And I'll tell you why because what's
- 33:56Speaker 1: it called again? It's called PAUSI Fury something something I
- 34:01Speaker 1: don't remember, very supportive Life out July And it's actually
- 34:10Speaker 1: the credits are opening Sonic. So if you've seen Sonic
- 34:13Speaker 1: the Hedgehog, you'll see the opening. Um. I'll tell you
- 34:16Speaker 1: why I love it. It's because Rob consistently says it's um.
- 34:21Speaker 1: He has been the happiest he's ever been working on it.
- 34:24Speaker 1: That's important that like because it was independent, he did
- 34:27Speaker 1: it on his own private financing. To watch him be
- 34:30Speaker 1: able to create a movie without any like one in
- 34:33Speaker 1: his ear. He just had the best time and like
- 34:36Speaker 1: it made our house happy. And he did it during
- 34:38Speaker 1: pandemic in his studio at the house. Um, and which
- 34:42Speaker 1: allowed me to do the show. And um, yeah, so
- 34:46Speaker 1: I'm really excited. He's just so happy with it. And
- 34:49Speaker 1: normally he's like fraught with stress about like are people
- 34:51Speaker 1: gonna like it or not. It's like he doesn't have
- 34:53Speaker 1: that and it's so great. Um. And then the last
- 34:55Speaker 1: question which I asked the other girls on Beverly Hills,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and you're gonna have to answer you cannot count Rob,
- 35:02Speaker 1: But who would you marry? Kill you? Yes, yes, you're
- 35:06Speaker 1: not not fine Mary shag Kill from the Current Housewife,
