- 0:06Speaker 1: Guys. I'm sorry, I'm late. I was talking to the president.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Yeah, president of what doesn't map the homeowners Association?
- 0:17Speaker 1: What a badass move by Tiger Woods.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Also, I don't know, was it a badass move Tiger Woods?
- 0:23Speaker 2: The bodycam footage came out from when he was he
- 0:27Speaker 2: got in the accident.
- 0:28Speaker 1: The police came to the scene of.
- 0:29Speaker 2: The accident, Tiger for some reason was tucked away in the.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Bushes behind his rage rover.
- 0:35Speaker 2: All of it was weird. I feel bad for Tiger.
- 0:37Speaker 2: We all feel bad for Tiger. We want Tiger to
- 0:39Speaker 2: get healthy. But to come walking out of the bushes,
- 0:43Speaker 2: hanging up the phone and telling the cops, hey, sorry,
- 0:46Speaker 2: I was on the phone with the president.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I don't know what to do with that.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Is he This one accident has just had so many
- 0:54Speaker 3: It's just been so many memes like one after the other.
- 0:57Speaker 3: It's just and then you've got the talking to the president.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Think he was so far away from the officer right.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And then.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I don't know if this is I don't enough to me,
- 1:11Speaker 3: it's a little bit condescending. But when somebody says to somebody,
- 1:15Speaker 3: say again like that, any crap out of me? Just
- 1:19Speaker 3: say what huh right, beat that, but say again, oh,
- 1:23Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I was on the phone with the president.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It's like, oh, come on, bro, Like I didn't think
- 1:29Speaker 3: this is who Tiger Woods was.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Right, So Tiger Woods is dating Don Junior's ex wife.
- 1:38Speaker 4: So do you think this was a scheduled call with
- 1:41Speaker 4: the president or do you think this was a hey,
- 1:44Speaker 4: I might need a pardon coming up kind of soon?
- 1:47Speaker 2: So you think he got into an accident, rolled over
- 1:50Speaker 2: and realized, oh my god, I have my scheduled call
- 1:52Speaker 2: with President Trump right now.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I can't miss it. I never missed it. I don't
- 1:56Speaker 1: care if I get in an accident. I have to
- 1:57Speaker 1: be on this call.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Is that what you're suggesting he forgot that he took
- 2:00Speaker 3: his meds and got into a car. But no, no,
- 2:03Speaker 3: his scheduled meeting with the president.
- 2:05Speaker 5: I got to get on that thing.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Or the alternative of hey, I know I'm about to
- 2:10Speaker 4: get in a lot of trouble.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Who could bail me out of this?
- 2:13Speaker 2: The precess, I think what you're doing in that spot
- 2:16Speaker 2: is alerting the officers. Hey, I'm friends with the fucking
- 2:19Speaker 2: president of the United States of America. You are not
- 2:22Speaker 2: going to arrest me today.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I have a Master's to play in next week.
- 2:26Speaker 6: Yeah, but.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Is the president card better than the I'm Tiger Woods card.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I'm not certain the president doesn't have pardon powers over
- 2:36Speaker 3: a traffic violation, but he thinks does not happen.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I think it was just a measure of Hey, I've
- 2:45Speaker 3: got friends in high places. But we all assumed you
- 2:48Speaker 3: had friends in high places. Dude, you're Tiger Woods.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It does beg the question, though, if you're in a
- 2:53Speaker 2: gam and the cops are, like, you know, they're pursuing you,
- 2:57Speaker 2: would it be more impressive for you to be hanging
- 2:59Speaker 2: up the phone with Tiger Woods or President Trump?
- 3:03Speaker 5: How about that? I think Tiger Woods is probably harder
- 3:05Speaker 5: to get on the phone.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I think the move would have been, man, always carry
- 3:10Speaker 3: around your Presidential Medal of Freedom in the car where
- 3:14Speaker 3: they ask you for your ID, you're just like, no,
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'm good, I've got this, and it's just like, I
- 3:19Speaker 3: don't really know. It's just like having the key to
- 3:20Speaker 3: the city. I don't know what that thing does, but
- 3:22Speaker 3: you know what, you're good.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Here's what it says, go ahead, I dare you. It's
- 3:27Speaker 1: a symbol for that.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Yes, Tyler so when that video came out, my favorite
- 3:33Speaker 4: part of that video very serious situation. Luckily nobody got
- 3:37Speaker 4: hurt in this situation, so people are able to talk
- 3:42Speaker 4: about it more lightly. When the police officer asked, is
- 3:46Speaker 4: there anything you need from your truck, and Tiger just
- 3:48Speaker 4: goes my sticks.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And those extra pills.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Did I hear this from somebody or did somebody just
- 4:00Speaker 3: suggest that Tiger if it would have been like, maybe
- 4:04Speaker 3: this gets him off, because it would have proven that
- 4:06Speaker 3: he was really sharp at the time.
- 4:08Speaker 5: If he would have just said, man, this is going
- 4:10Speaker 5: to really ruin the tour, the.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Same thing that justin Timberlake said, No, no, I meant
- 4:16Speaker 3: the PGA Tour.
- 4:17Speaker 5: I'm sorry, I'm Tiger Witz.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yes, hey, officer, are you gonna watch the Masters next week?
- 4:23Speaker 2: I told you this right, you're hoping he's a big golfan,
- 4:27Speaker 2: which he wasn't clearly, or she wasn't, because Tiger is
- 4:30Speaker 2: not going to be playing at Augusta and is off
- 4:34Speaker 2: in some unknown lands rehab because he can't do it here.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Yeah, it looked at the officer says, you into Azaleas.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Wait if you.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Arrest me now, I will not be playing at Augusta.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I'm not saying I'm going to play well when I
- 4:48Speaker 2: go there, but I'll be there and I'm going to
- 4:49Speaker 2: give it my all, and I probably won't make the cuts.
- 4:52Speaker 2: But there's a chance, is he.
- 4:56Speaker 4: The best part of a justin Timberlake video that came
- 4:59Speaker 4: out was when they were arresting him. He's looking over
- 5:03Speaker 4: the report and he gets to where it says race
- 5:06Speaker 4: and he goes white and everybody looks back at him.
- 5:09Speaker 3: He goes, I'm just kidding, entertaining.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Whatever you call that traffic violation of all time?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Was this in the Hamptons?
- 5:20Speaker 5: Is that I forget where it was right.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Because all of a sudden, Timberlake stopped showing up the
- 5:25Speaker 2: Lake tal Me.
- 5:29Speaker 5: He was a fixture there.
- 5:31Speaker 3: They came out with the like the director's cut to
- 5:33Speaker 3: his uh to him getting pulled it over as hilarious.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Can I make a shameful admission.
- 5:39Speaker 2: If I was an officer and I had to rush
- 5:43Speaker 2: out to that scene to Tiger Woods the scene of
- 5:46Speaker 2: the accident, and I realized it was Tiger Woods, and
- 5:50Speaker 2: I'm a big golf fan, but I'm also a police officer,
- 5:54Speaker 2: I would have let him off, like I would have
- 5:56Speaker 2: looked at the calendar and realized, oh man, we're a
- 5:58Speaker 2: week out from Augusta.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Here Tiger wants to give it a run. Tiger, We're good.
- 6:02Speaker 1: See it's like, yes, I can check this out.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Turns off his body, Kim. Nobody's gonna know what happened here.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Okay, you need anything, right forget about your sticks anything else.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I mean, whatever you need, I'm here for you.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You need to call the president for you.
- 6:19Speaker 5: No, you got that, all right.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I am the cop the Tiger needed.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Oh man, so unlucky.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Of him, but I know I am told here that
- 6:29Speaker 2: Taylor got the Italian soccer coach fired.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Is he?
- 6:32Speaker 3: I saw the headline today. Well it's funny because I
- 6:35Speaker 3: have an uncle named Hanado. We call him Hanado, right,
- 6:39Speaker 3: g E n A r oo. I believe I believe
- 6:42Speaker 3: Taylor pronounced it right. I believe you get the G
- 6:44Speaker 3: in there right. It's Janado in Italian. So now I
- 6:47Speaker 3: feel like I've been ever since you said that, I've
- 6:49Speaker 3: been thinking that I've been calling my uncle by the
- 6:50Speaker 3: wrong and.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Pronounce his entire life.
- 6:54Speaker 3: But when I saw the headline, I was just like, man,
- 6:56Speaker 3: that is an influential podcaster.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Right there, Taylor.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Because the very next day, boom, and I think, what
- 7:02Speaker 3: did the G stand for? It stand for to get
- 7:04Speaker 3: him out of here?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Get him out of here?
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yes, what's your what's your on air name by the way,
- 7:10Speaker 2: when you're doing a talk show host in Italy?
- 7:12Speaker 5: Uh?
- 7:12Speaker 4: It was it was Mike Franchise. That's a food right, Yes, chick,
- 7:23Speaker 4: Mike francessa.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Yes, we got there.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yes. How do you feel about getting the soccer coach fired?
- 7:29Speaker 4: I mean, you know, I I hate to see somebody
- 7:33Speaker 4: lose their job, but when you're at a job like
- 7:37Speaker 4: Italy soccer, you can't fail to qualify for third third
- 7:41Speaker 4: straight World Cup. This is essentially the uh the Mark
- 7:46Speaker 4: de Rosa of the World Cup coaching where was like
- 7:49Speaker 4: this guy, we we did not have to fire him.
- 7:52Speaker 4: He was going to step down because of how embarrassing
- 7:55Speaker 4: the losses.
- 7:56Speaker 3: It was such a perfect opportunity, with all the momentum
- 7:59Speaker 3: from Italian baseball, to have another world international moment, get
- 8:03Speaker 3: yourself into the World Cup, come back to the States
- 8:06Speaker 3: and maybe you know, do some things with the soccer team.
- 8:09Speaker 3: But nah, G stands for gun, get out of here, sorry,
- 8:12Speaker 3: take gone.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I'm certain Mike FRANCHISEI thinks that he should be the
- 8:16Speaker 2: replacement for the Italian soccer coach, because you.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Know, Francessa once said that he could manage the Mets.
- 8:22Speaker 4: So when the World Cup comes this summer, there's going
- 8:27Speaker 4: to be a lot of people in northern New Jersey
- 8:29Speaker 4: that are shocked to find out that Italy didn't make
- 8:32Speaker 4: it to.
- 8:32Speaker 5: The World Cup.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Be a lot of people in Italian Why can't I
- 8:38Speaker 3: get the Italian World Cup kit?
- 8:39Speaker 5: Oh no, they who were a fucking staple in this thing.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Every thirty years, and we can it.
- 8:48Speaker 2: You have American born Italians in Northern Jersey, which is
- 8:51Speaker 2: the perfect spot tailor.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You're right where they're.
- 8:53Speaker 2: All just going to be like, what do you mean
- 8:54Speaker 2: fucking Italy to make it.
- 8:57Speaker 6: That news. We'll get to them in a couple of
- 8:59Speaker 6: months though, exactly.
- 9:02Speaker 1: By the way, let me know who wins the World Cup.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I honestly have zero interest in it so far.
- 9:07Speaker 3: But speaking of news getting to you eventually, just because
- 9:11Speaker 3: I've been getting a little bit of questions about it constantly,
- 9:14Speaker 3: I do want to talk about this Jade and Ivy
- 9:17Speaker 3: situation in Chicago, but.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna save it.
- 9:20Speaker 3: I'm gonna let things sort of flesh out a little
- 9:22Speaker 3: bit because and I'll just tell you why I didn't
- 9:24Speaker 3: want to talk about it initially. First of all, like
- 9:28Speaker 3: you know, growing up in my situation closeted, and then
- 9:31Speaker 3: like you feel like the world maybe.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Has finally evolved.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:35Speaker 3: We get to twenty fifteen and there's the you know,
- 9:37Speaker 3: the marriage equality thing, and it's like, all right, great,
- 9:40Speaker 3: we've passed that part of you know, human evolution where
- 9:43Speaker 3: people think that, you know, being gay is the worst
- 9:45Speaker 3: blah blah blah blah blah. And then people just keep
- 9:49Speaker 3: giving it life or giving it breath and then just
- 9:51Speaker 3: bringing it back and feeling like, wait, I don't want
- 9:54Speaker 3: to have this conversation again. I just did this every
- 9:56Speaker 3: you know, so often for the last twenty year thirty
- 9:59Speaker 3: I don't want to do it again. So let's just
- 10:02Speaker 3: let this disappear and hopefully Jadon and Ivy disappears and
- 10:04Speaker 3: it never becomes an issue. But the more there is
- 10:07Speaker 3: too it, the more it does make me feel like
- 10:09Speaker 3: I have a little bit of responsibility to discuss it,
- 10:11Speaker 3: and more that I just want to discuss it because
- 10:13Speaker 3: it's like multi layered and the things that have been
- 10:16Speaker 3: said out there really aren't hitting the mark.
- 10:18Speaker 5: When it comes to this topic.
- 10:19Speaker 3: But I am going to talk about it, just gonna
- 10:21Speaker 3: probably wait till Monday or Tuesday next week. And not
- 10:24Speaker 3: that people are like sitting at home waiting for me
- 10:26Speaker 3: to discuss it. I'm just addressing it in that Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 3: well no.
- 10:29Speaker 2: I do think there are sitting at home waiting for
- 10:31Speaker 2: you to address it.
- 10:32Speaker 7: You're gay, yeah, probably have told you a long time,
- 10:40Speaker 7: but people, no, I would say, if there's a voice
- 10:42Speaker 7: that people want to hear from on this story, is
- 10:44Speaker 7: he Yours is the voice.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So you take your time, you do it how you
- 10:47Speaker 1: want to do it. You want to do it without
- 10:49Speaker 1: me and my friend Chizzy, No, thank you, because it
- 10:54Speaker 1: really doesn't know.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Like the first the reason I didn't want to talk
- 10:57Speaker 3: about it is because all it does is give all
- 11:00Speaker 3: these people who just want to, you know, spread hatred
- 11:03Speaker 3: everywhere and have these topics all the time and like
- 11:05Speaker 3: the losers like Riley Gaines of the world.
- 11:07Speaker 5: To discuss it.
- 11:07Speaker 3: It's like, so as soon as I saw that happening,
- 11:09Speaker 3: I was like, I'm gonna let this let this cycle
- 11:12Speaker 3: pass before I discussed it, because then it's just gonna
- 11:14Speaker 3: get lost in everything else.
- 11:15Speaker 5: In all these clowns talking about the wrong things.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Wow, I mean the rare, the rare example of patients
- 11:21Speaker 2: in sports media waiting for our story to develop before
- 11:26Speaker 2: he talks about it. I've never heard anyone do that
- 11:29Speaker 2: before in sports media period.
- 11:31Speaker 5: And the discussion.
- 11:32Speaker 1: You are the first one to let the facts play out. Congratulations, trailblazer. Patience,
- 11:38Speaker 1: where is it laziness?
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but by the time but you know how this works,
- 11:42Speaker 2: and I can't wait to hear what it is you
- 11:43Speaker 2: have to say. But by the time you get around
- 11:46Speaker 2: to talking about it, we'll be onto the Masters.
- 11:48Speaker 5: And yeah, that's fine.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'll be having of everyone.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I'd rather watch the Masters too. I'm not gonna lie.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'd rather hear from you on this.
- 11:58Speaker 5: I would.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I'd rather hear from you. And I'm being serious and
- 12:01Speaker 2: genuine and you know that.
- 12:02Speaker 5: I know.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yes, no easy way to transition out of that, but
- 12:05Speaker 2: we'll stay inside. The NBA. Luca pulls a handy last night.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I don't know how serious it was. I'm a day removed.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I'm confused with this guy. I said he'd never win
- 12:14Speaker 2: an MVP, he'd never win a championship, and then yesterday
- 12:19Speaker 2: I said, I think he's gonna win a championship, and
- 12:21Speaker 2: it might be this year, and he might be the MVB.
- 12:23Speaker 2: But Luca pulls a handy because that's what Luca does.
- 12:27Speaker 1: How serious was it is?
- 12:28Speaker 5: If so?
- 12:30Speaker 3: I was watching that game in the first half and
- 12:32Speaker 3: he there was a moment where you could tell he
- 12:35Speaker 3: tweaked the hamstring and he was like holding it, kind
- 12:38Speaker 3: of rubbing it a little bit, and just decided to
- 12:40Speaker 3: play through it. And I don't know if you remember
- 12:42Speaker 3: last year's playoffs Warriors Rockets. I believe it was Warriors
- 12:47Speaker 3: Rockets where Steph Curry kind of pulled up, no, I'm sorry,
- 12:52Speaker 3: second round, second round against tiberwolveshere ste Curry kind of
- 12:55Speaker 3: pulled up and then sort of played a little bit
- 12:57Speaker 3: more and then it was just like, now, come get me,
- 12:59Speaker 3: get me.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Out of here.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I would have thought that the second Luca reached for
- 13:06Speaker 3: his hamstring, never mind that he would pull himself out,
- 13:09Speaker 3: that one of the coaches says, no, no, no, we're not
- 13:11Speaker 3: taking our chances. Get out of here. You get out
- 13:13Speaker 3: of the game. But then full disclosure, fell asleep late game,
- 13:17Speaker 3: fell asleep, and then saw what happened in the third quarter.
- 13:20Speaker 3: When he exited, and I was just like, man, he
- 13:23Speaker 3: stayed in there, and he fought through what he could
- 13:26Speaker 3: obviously tell was the beginning of an injury and made
- 13:30Speaker 3: it worse in all likelihood, and it's probably gonna miss
- 13:33Speaker 3: I mean historically with those ham strings, probably a couple
- 13:35Speaker 3: of weeks. So he's going right to the front of
- 13:37Speaker 3: the playoffs there. And to me, the first thing that
- 13:40Speaker 3: I thought of was that m Effort cares like the
- 13:44Speaker 3: guy the people who say, oh.
- 13:45Speaker 5: He doesn't care, he doesn't want to do well.
- 13:47Speaker 3: First of all, yeah, obviously he lost all the weight
- 13:49Speaker 3: and pretty much kept it off for the for the
- 13:51Speaker 3: most part of this season, but like playing through that
- 13:54Speaker 3: at this stage of the season when the only thing
- 13:57Speaker 3: really at stake. Yeah, there's playoff positioning, but there they're
- 14:00Speaker 3: good in the top six is MVP consideration, and maybe
- 14:04Speaker 3: he was trying to victor Wembin yama It and trying
- 14:07Speaker 3: to push himself so that he could win the MVP.
- 14:10Speaker 3: That's the thing that I started thinking about, is like,
- 14:13Speaker 3: did he go too far and staying in the game
- 14:16Speaker 3: and then costing his team as a result.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It's not something that he likes to talk about. As
- 14:20Speaker 2: we discussed on the radio show. The more you talk
- 14:22Speaker 2: about it, the less likely you are to.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Win the MVP. But it was a game against Oklahoma City.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He was playing SGA.
- 14:28Speaker 2: He probably wanted to make a statement in that game
- 14:30Speaker 2: in terms of an MVP.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Statement and even bring that up, that's a great point.
- 14:34Speaker 2: And them as a team probably wanted to make a statement.
- 14:37Speaker 2: So I will tell you this, when both sides were
- 14:39Speaker 2: completely healthy. First quarter, Oklahoma City outscored him by twenty
- 14:43Speaker 2: three points. I believe it was forty four to twenty
- 14:45Speaker 2: one after a quarter in that game, and that was
- 14:48Speaker 2: a statement by Oklahoma City.
- 14:50Speaker 1: And then Luca gets hurt in the third quarter. They
- 14:52Speaker 1: were hitting a lot, and maybe that's why he did
- 14:54Speaker 1: stay it.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Maybe he's just like, well, I can't leave now because
- 14:57Speaker 3: it's going to look like I just bailed when this team,
- 15:00Speaker 3: as you know, dominating a healthy version of us. And
- 15:03Speaker 3: so it is, it does suck, like it just sucks
- 15:07Speaker 3: if we lose him.
- 15:08Speaker 5: For a good amount of time.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Then he comes back at the first round of the playoffs,
- 15:12Speaker 3: not maybe not himself. Maybe that team's not altogether Like
- 15:15Speaker 3: you could stand to lose some stars in the game.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But I would say for this season and again don't
- 15:22Speaker 3: know how long it is for this season. I think
- 15:25Speaker 3: he and Victor Winbinyama are the two brightest in terms
- 15:29Speaker 3: of must see stars, right, not including bam Oudabayo of course.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Uh, Victor Winbyama and Luka dantet am.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I Right, well, I think so this is interesting because
- 15:38Speaker 2: I think when you when you look at and this
- 15:41Speaker 2: is how fans do it in the NBA, you look
- 15:44Speaker 2: at guys who should win a championship, right, Luca and
- 15:49Speaker 2: Wemby are those two guys.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So people are going to be interested.
- 15:52Speaker 2: You want to have the Lakers relevant, of course, but
- 15:55Speaker 2: I think people expect those two guys to win championships
- 15:59Speaker 2: plural and because of that, and they're pretty polarizing.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I think there is a lot of attention on those
- 16:05Speaker 1: two individuals. So yeah, I mean, that's the guy you
- 16:07Speaker 1: do not want to lose.
- 16:08Speaker 3: The reason I wouldn't throw Anthony Edwards into that mix
- 16:11Speaker 3: is because of what you said, like, yeah, he's probably
- 16:13Speaker 3: one of those top three guys that you want to
- 16:15Speaker 3: watch on a nightly basis, but in terms of championship pressures, nah,
- 16:19Speaker 3: So if he went down this year, it wouldn't be
- 16:21Speaker 3: that big a deal. I also started paying a little
- 16:24Speaker 3: closer attention to some of Luca's like personal stuff. Like
- 16:26Speaker 3: I don't know if you noticed, but like he's apparently
- 16:29Speaker 3: in a fight for a custody of his kids, right
- 16:31Speaker 3: his wife left him or they have you know, separated
- 16:34Speaker 3: or get divorced whatever. And you know, obviously his team
- 16:38Speaker 3: traded him in the Dallas Mavericks his first American city
- 16:41Speaker 3: that he had to force his way to Luke to
- 16:43Speaker 3: La et cetera. Man, Like, his personal life can't be great,
- 16:48Speaker 3: and I'm not sure he was just like on the
- 16:49Speaker 3: sideline the other night, just crying after I want to say,
- 16:53Speaker 3: a win. And I can't imagine that he can separate
- 16:58Speaker 3: all that stuff, right, Like I think all that stuff
- 17:00Speaker 3: probably goes into his thinking every night.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That's twice.
- 17:02Speaker 5: So, like you see how angry he.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Is allot the time.
- 17:05Speaker 3: When he does, he's like a few and he's like
- 17:07Speaker 3: and it's just like, man, that dude just doesn't seem
- 17:10Speaker 3: like really happy outside.
- 17:12Speaker 1: And then you just read some of the details.
- 17:13Speaker 3: It's like, man, why would he be outside of like Lakers'
- 17:17Speaker 3: success right now?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Why would he be happy? And so hundreds of millions
- 17:21Speaker 1: of dollars that he makes don't.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Well, it helps, I'm sure, but like maybe that even
- 17:25Speaker 3: had something to do with him just like saying, fit,
- 17:27Speaker 3: I'll just fight through this handy because I don't know, man,
- 17:30Speaker 3: I don't think like last year's Luca or two years
- 17:34Speaker 3: ago Luca with the Dallas Mavericks and he's making a run, like,
- 17:37Speaker 3: I don't think he takes it that lightly.
- 17:39Speaker 5: I think he would have pulled himself out.
- 17:40Speaker 3: But I think there's just extra pressures that come with
- 17:42Speaker 3: being a Laker, but also just everything else that I
- 17:45Speaker 3: was saying before, and like, yeah, I think he probably
- 17:48Speaker 3: you know, there's another timeline somewhere where he's like, get
- 17:51Speaker 3: me out of here, and then it's just he misses
- 17:52Speaker 3: a day or two where it's just now we're talking
- 17:54Speaker 3: about probably a week or two.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Uh.
- 17:57Speaker 2: The West is going to be so interesting because the
- 17:59Speaker 2: Nuggets are playing so well. Hopefully Luca is healthy, because
- 18:02Speaker 2: all four of the teams in the West are playing
- 18:04Speaker 2: like the four teams I would consider to have a
- 18:06Speaker 2: shot at making it to the NBA Finals, and the
- 18:09Speaker 2: Lakers were one of those teams.
- 18:10Speaker 1: We'll see what happens with Luca. But the Nuggets are incredible.
- 18:14Speaker 2: The Spurs one by twenty without Wenby last night. They
- 18:17Speaker 2: don't care. And Oklahoma City's playing well again. It's gonna
- 18:21Speaker 2: be a great Western. My concern is the East tailor
- 18:24Speaker 2: and the Knicks don't have a shot, because I'm telling
- 18:26Speaker 2: you right now, the Celtics might be the.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Best team in the NBA. In fact, I'm.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Gonna say it right now, the Celtics are the best
- 18:31Speaker 2: team in the NBA. And the Celtics are going to
- 18:34Speaker 2: win a second NBA title in three years. How about
- 18:37Speaker 2: that wow over the Thunder huh yes, yeah, no, maybe
- 18:40Speaker 2: the Nuggets, I don't know, Okay, yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 1: The other thing just back to Luca real quick.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Based on his and this is why I like when
- 18:47Speaker 3: people were saying, or even the Lakers were saying, we're
- 18:50Speaker 3: not a championship team based on what he did that
- 18:52Speaker 3: one run with Dallas where he got all the way
- 18:54Speaker 3: to the finals and it was nowhere near expecting him to.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Of course, he can do that again, a fit version
- 19:00Speaker 3: of him if he wasn't hurt with you know, a
- 19:02Speaker 3: couple of teammates like Lebron and Austin Reeves, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 3: playing the Kyrie role. Of course he could make that
- 19:07Speaker 3: run again, because there isn't a runaway favorite in.
- 19:10Speaker 1: The Western Conference.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Even I would say the thunder are a healthy favorite,
- 19:14Speaker 3: but I think nobody's gonna be shocked if they get
- 19:16Speaker 3: ousted in the Western Conference finals. So that's where it hurts,
- 19:19Speaker 3: especially if this Luca thing and he's got an MRI scheduled.
- 19:22Speaker 3: If this Luca injury, you know, basically ends the hope
- 19:26Speaker 3: of him being healthy for a good playoff run.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Taylor, you concerned as a Nick fan? You have your
- 19:31Speaker 1: Nick hat on today? What do you think here? Because
- 19:33Speaker 1: I don't think the Knicks are gonna get there. This
- 19:34Speaker 1: is I fucking hate this.
- 19:36Speaker 4: So I'm conflicted with this Knicks team just because I'm
- 19:41Speaker 4: not trying to get wrapped up in the highs and
- 19:43Speaker 4: the lows of the regular season. Because since they hired
- 19:46Speaker 4: Mike Brown, I've been pretty consistent that I'm only gonna
- 19:50Speaker 4: judge this team based on what they do in the postseason.
- 19:53Speaker 6: So every time they win, I'm.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Listening to New York Sports media, They're gonna win the championship.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Every time they lose, they got to blow it up.
- 20:00Speaker 4: I've just kind of been horse blinders on just get
- 20:03Speaker 4: me to the postseason, and then I'm going to assess
- 20:05Speaker 4: the team how they do once they get to the postseason.
- 20:08Speaker 5: How do you like Jose Alvarado? Now, by the.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Way, I'm proud of I'm proud of the New York
- 20:15Speaker 2: Sports media. That's how you do it. When you win,
- 20:18Speaker 2: you win a championship. When you lose, the world is collapsing.
- 20:22Speaker 2: They won, They've won seven of ten. They're just not
- 20:24Speaker 2: playing as well. The Celtics are overwhelming, and I'm not
- 20:26Speaker 2: certain what to do with the Pitzons because the Pistons
- 20:28Speaker 2: are still playing good without Kate gunning it.
- 20:30Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Well, I mean, you say the ups and downs of
- 20:33Speaker 3: the next season, it's been pretty steady. It kind of
- 20:35Speaker 3: just depends on who they're playing, right, because they won one, two, three, four, five,
- 20:39Speaker 3: seven in a row. But you're talking about games against
- 20:41Speaker 3: the Jazz, the Pacers, the Warriors, the Pacers again, the Nets,
- 20:44Speaker 3: the Wizards, and the Pelicans. And then you hit a
- 20:46Speaker 3: three game stretch against the Hornets, Thunder and Rockets.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Of course you're going to lose all three of them.
- 20:51Speaker 3: And then they have a game that settles them a
- 20:53Speaker 3: little bit against the Grizzlies where they win without Jalen
- 20:56Speaker 3: Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns has a triple double, and
- 20:59Speaker 3: it seems like, oh, oh yeah, we got Carlon man.
- 21:01Speaker 3: That team when Karl Anthony Towns is on the floor, defensively,
- 21:04Speaker 3: they're terrible. You see Jalen Brunson sometimes like I think
- 21:09Speaker 3: he sort of hates the idea that it's got I
- 21:11Speaker 3: think he knows it's got to be him one A,
- 21:13Speaker 3: one B and one C throughout the playoffs, and I
- 21:15Speaker 3: don't know if he wants all that heavy lifting, and
- 21:18Speaker 3: so he's like trying to find other people to get
- 21:20Speaker 3: him going, to help him out.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I just I don't see that team making it past
- 21:23Speaker 5: the second round.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I'm trying to put myself in the NBA's position. Obviously,
- 21:28Speaker 2: you want the Celtics and the Knicks, and he had
- 21:30Speaker 2: their team is having a decent season.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Would be a complete.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Disaster for the NBA if that team made it to
- 21:37Speaker 2: the NBA Finals, meaning the Pistons, Calves, Hawks, Sixers, No,
- 21:41Speaker 2: well maybe the Sixers, but no one wants the Calves,
- 21:44Speaker 2: the Hawks or the Pistons are wrecking their NBA Finals.
- 21:47Speaker 5: It's actually a.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Great conversation in the Eastern Conference outside of Boston. You know,
- 21:51Speaker 3: there's enough people who like Boston, so Boston would be good. Yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 3: the Sixers, you're right, man, Like, what kind of a
- 21:58Speaker 3: story that would be?
- 21:59Speaker 5: Right?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Joelyn never make it out of the second round.
- 22:01Speaker 3: This time, he's going all the way to the finals
- 22:02Speaker 3: and maybe he has a chance to win one out
- 22:04Speaker 3: of nowhere.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Being serious here is he?
- 22:06Speaker 2: I'm not certain that Wemby versus Embiid wouldn't be the best.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Option for the NBA.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I mean because if you think about it, every round
- 22:13Speaker 3: that Philly wins, they become a more intriguing story. So
- 22:16Speaker 3: if they get all the way to the end against
- 22:17Speaker 3: those two. But I'm telling you right now, Taylor the
- 22:21Speaker 3: most interesting team that everybody would be happy if they
- 22:24Speaker 3: made it out of the Eastern Conference.
- 22:26Speaker 5: The Charlotte Hornets.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Hornets, there's something about that two straight going for it again.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yes, America's team and they have and this is a
- 22:38Speaker 3: discussion that I find to be the most frustrating and
- 22:41Speaker 3: stupid discussion in all of sports. But damn it, they
- 22:44Speaker 3: might have the best white American basketball player on their
- 22:47Speaker 3: roster in continental Come on, you know that carries.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Some weight in this country too. Charlotte Hornets, America's team Baby.
- 22:55Speaker 2: The best white American player right now in the NBA.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Is he right about that?
- 23:00Speaker 3: I haven't even I haven't even looked at I mean,
- 23:02Speaker 3: he might not even be the best white American basketball
- 23:04Speaker 3: player in his own draft class.
- 23:06Speaker 5: But still, hmm.
- 23:08Speaker 6: So some people do say the sea in Charlotte stands
- 23:11Speaker 6: for Caucasians.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I think I said that once, Yes, there you go,
- 23:17Speaker 2: but Taylor put it in my ear.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I mean it's.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Funny though, like you get a team that's kind of
- 23:22Speaker 5: fun and.
- 23:22Speaker 2: All this hold on Cooper Flag, I mean busts.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I mean, that's what I was talking about in terms
- 23:28Speaker 3: of the best white American in his own draft class.
- 23:30Speaker 1: But it can be Conkinipple.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Conkin Nipple could not be better than Cooper Flag.
- 23:36Speaker 1: No. I mean it's a different type of game, man.
- 23:39Speaker 5: He's old school. It's very much I mean not very much.
- 23:41Speaker 3: But it's almost like Larry bird Ish in that you
- 23:44Speaker 3: don't really see a whole lot of athleticism.
- 23:47Speaker 1: You just see a great shooter and a super high IQ.
- 23:50Speaker 1: He can do a lot of things.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Now I'm looking up white American basketball players.
- 23:53Speaker 5: I told you, it's a terrible conversation Stu.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Now I'm thinking, yeah, you.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 24:02Speaker 4: If you put Kanka Nipple and Cooper Flag on the
- 24:05Speaker 4: same team and go back maybe like a year in college,
- 24:08Speaker 4: that team would have to win the title, right.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, knowing what we know now, yes, yes, yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 2: Canipple would carry them to a title.
- 24:17Speaker 5: By the way, some people would argue Tyler hero not
- 24:19Speaker 5: all the way. Wait, who would argue.
- 24:23Speaker 2: That Tyler Arrow would a little saucy? I have some
- 24:30Speaker 2: other names for you, Alex Caruso, Austin Reeves, Austin Reeves,
- 24:35Speaker 2: Austin Reeves.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I never thought Austin Reeves would be this good. It's ridiculous.
- 24:40Speaker 5: He does have a thing for Austin Reeves.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Tayler the other day.
- 24:42Speaker 5: He's just like man, he was so good people not
- 24:44Speaker 5: know he was good. He's could be this good.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I mean, anyone, anyone who forces Lebron to be horse
- 24:49Speaker 2: grants it has to be pretty good.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Lebron has turned himself into a third option.
- 24:55Speaker 5: It's it's and he doesn't care.
- 24:57Speaker 1: He doesn't seem to mind.
- 24:59Speaker 3: He probably care until people say it enough, like when
- 25:02Speaker 3: you say if you make it a thing. Where Lebron
- 25:05Speaker 3: has turned into Horace Grant and gets.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Back to him. He's gonna hate that.
- 25:09Speaker 2: So how do you imagine that working inside the inside
- 25:12Speaker 2: the Lakers locker room? Like, they all know he's the third,
- 25:16Speaker 2: but it's not something you can say it. You can't
- 25:18Speaker 2: say it out loud. Oh no, jj Reddick said it
- 25:20Speaker 2: out loud.
- 25:21Speaker 3: He said, our team is at its best if jave
- 25:23Speaker 3: Lebron James is our third option.
- 25:25Speaker 5: And I yeah, but all the players why right?
- 25:28Speaker 1: He can only say that because he hosted a podcast
- 25:30Speaker 1: with him. Yes, I'm not even certain he should be
- 25:33Speaker 1: saying it. I think they should all be silent.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Let him think he's the second or the first for
- 25:37Speaker 2: that matter.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, right, when he's not. It is funny.
- 25:43Speaker 5: Listen.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I'm trying to convince myself to take Michigan because everyone
- 25:47Speaker 2: keeps telling me the best team in the final four.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I'm trying to talk myself into it, but I can't
- 25:50Speaker 2: because I watched the Arizona I'm.
- 25:53Speaker 5: With you, man, no, no, I love Michigan.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I love watching them play.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I know Seth Davis picked them when he was on
- 26:00Speaker 3: with us, but I'm sticking to Arizona, man, I'm sticking
- 26:03Speaker 3: to that team which was just one through whatever seven.
- 26:05Speaker 3: They just look like devastating athletes that can just rock
- 26:08Speaker 3: the rim at any time.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Here's the problem for me.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I will watch along with you, Arizona will play for
- 26:13Speaker 2: the first time in the Sweet sixteen, and I swore
- 26:15Speaker 2: to myself that's the best team I've ever seen in
- 26:16Speaker 2: college basketball. People keep telling me that Michigan is better.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I haven't watched Michigan yet.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Well, that's a good opportunity to do.
