Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Woo Hey, what's today? Thursday? Seems like the week's Oh,
- 0:16Speaker 2: it's been a hell of a week, a lot of
- 0:18Speaker 2: this stressful, draining week because of everything going on. But hey,
- 0:23Speaker 2: we'll get to mom Donnie. We'll also give you the
- 0:25Speaker 2: whole story of how he did this. It's an interesting
- 0:28Speaker 2: behind the scenes story of how he went from zero
- 0:32Speaker 2: to forty one percent to fifty percent and to win
- 0:35Speaker 2: the election with a majority. By the way, with a
- 0:38Speaker 2: majority of the votes. Now, only let me see forty
- 0:43Speaker 2: five percent of New York voted registered voters, which is
- 0:47Speaker 2: actually less than actual population. Out of all the registered
- 0:51Speaker 2: voters in New York, only forty five percent voted. That
- 0:56Speaker 2: was it. But we'll get to the campaign, how it worked.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We'll get to the transition. We'll get to Nancy Pelosi,
- 1:01Speaker 2: she's leaving. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to Oh, MSNBC.
- 1:07Speaker 2: The final week is next week of MSNBC. Then it
- 1:10Speaker 2: switches to this new thing. But we'll explain all of
- 1:13Speaker 2: that coming up. Mam Donnie has picked his transition team. Now,
- 1:19Speaker 2: as we've been telling you, it's a lot of the
- 1:22Speaker 2: Deblasio people. The Deblasio staff came in and helped the
- 1:26Speaker 2: Mam Donnie campaign, and there'll be a big party administration.
- 1:30Speaker 2: So if you're wondering how bad it's going to be,
- 1:33Speaker 2: it will be very, very Deblasio like, because a lot
- 1:37Speaker 2: of his people will be involved in this. He's picked
- 1:40Speaker 2: the transition team. Elena Leopold, who was with Mayor Deblasio.
- 1:45Speaker 2: She was his team's executive director, Melanie Hartzog who's a
- 1:52Speaker 2: former deputy mayor under Deblasio. Lena Kahn, who's former Federal
- 1:57Speaker 2: Trade Commission share, Maria Torres Springer who was first deputy
- 2:02Speaker 2: mayor to Eric Adams. So it's a lot of the
- 2:05Speaker 2: same people from de Blasio and the couple from Adams.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But people still think it'll be a little worse than Deblasio,
- 2:13Speaker 2: only because Mom Donnie seems even crazier than Deblasio. The billionaires,
- 2:20Speaker 2: all of those big, big, big donors who always get
- 2:23Speaker 2: everything wrong in every election, always backed the wrong candidates,
- 2:26Speaker 2: always do everything wrong. You know, they were busy pushing Cuomo.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Cuomo had wooed them and won them over, and they
- 2:32Speaker 2: were all behind Cuomo who never had a chance. These
- 2:35Speaker 2: billionaires are now all over Mom Donnie trying to make
- 2:38Speaker 2: peace with him. Bill Ackman tweeting out, well, you know,
- 2:42Speaker 2: let me help anything I can do. I'm here for you,
- 2:44Speaker 2: you know, to Mom Donnie, he was one of the
- 2:48Speaker 2: biggest guys pushing Quota, one of the guys trying the
- 2:51Speaker 2: hardest to get Curtis out of the race. I want
- 2:54Speaker 2: to do everything I can to help you, says Ackman.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Now basically see what happens to Cuoma again. The big,
- 3:02Speaker 2: big donors who made fortunes in their own industry but
- 3:05Speaker 2: are absolute dopes when it comes to politics and always
- 3:09Speaker 2: get it wrong. We're all over Cuomo. I think they're
- 3:11Speaker 2: starting to see that Cuomo was just had no shot
- 3:14Speaker 2: at all. Besides the fact that he left office in
- 3:17Speaker 2: disgrace with a tremendous amount of baggage. He was totally
- 3:21Speaker 2: out of shape politically. He saw it in the first
- 3:24Speaker 2: two months of the campaign. He was just awful, completely
- 3:27Speaker 2: out of shape politically, just didn't know what to do.
- 3:31Speaker 2: So a lot of people turning on Cuomo. Now, even
- 3:33Speaker 2: on the view they were beating up Andrew Cuomo, the
- 3:36Speaker 2: view that kept pushing him, slobbering all over him. Adoring
- 3:40Speaker 2: him the view. Joy Behar said, well, besides saying bad
- 3:48Speaker 2: things about Cuomo, she said, the Trump endorsement was the
- 3:53Speaker 2: kiss of death, absolute kiss of death. Anna Navarro argues said, no, no,
- 4:01Speaker 2: it's Cuomo himself. Andrew Cuomo is the kiss of death.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You gotta love these democrats the way they just knee jerk,
- 4:09Speaker 2: flip flop on everything they were. They loved Cuomo. Now
- 4:12Speaker 2: he's the kiss of death. Andrew Cuomo, she says. Andrew
- 4:16Speaker 2: Cuomo was running an old nineteen seventies, an old tired campaign.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Mom Donnie was in the twenty first century doing modern
- 4:23Speaker 2: day stuff. He hit the pavement, he caught lightning in
- 4:26Speaker 2: a bottle. He captured the imagination of people. Now even
- 4:32Speaker 2: President Trump get now. He was pushing Cuomo as hard
- 4:35Speaker 2: as he could. He was behind the scenes, trying to
- 4:38Speaker 2: get Curtis out, behind the scenes. He was really really
- 4:42Speaker 2: pushing Cuomo. Now he's turned on him completely. He never
- 4:45Speaker 2: liked him anyway. But the one thing that drives Cuomo
- 4:48Speaker 2: nuts is if you call him a thug. And I
- 4:50Speaker 2: don't blame him, who wants to be called that, But
- 4:53Speaker 2: that's the one that hits a nerve with him. If
- 4:54Speaker 2: you ever call him a thug. He's actually said that
- 4:57Speaker 2: the people you know, and he's if you if you
- 5:00Speaker 2: go after him, he'll yell and scream at you. But
- 5:02Speaker 2: the one thing I say, don't call me a thug.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I understand it. I understand he doesn't that want to
- 5:06Speaker 2: be called a thug. It's the one word that really
- 5:10Speaker 2: gets him. So yesterday President Trump speaking to a group
- 5:14Speaker 2: of men and women of Congress Republicans from Congress at
- 5:18Speaker 2: a breakfast. Then he got up and spoke about the election,
- 5:21Speaker 2: and he called Cuomo a thug. Now, I don't think
- 5:25Speaker 2: that's a coincidence. I think I think Trump knew from
- 5:29Speaker 2: different various sources that that's the word Cuomo hates the most.
- 5:33Speaker 2: So three times he called him a thug. And then
- 5:36Speaker 2: at one point he said the whole thing was screwed up.
- 5:39Speaker 2: He asked the voters to choose between a communist or
- 5:42Speaker 2: a thug. So Trump now totally totally turned off on Cuomo. Now,
- 5:52Speaker 2: what's going to happen as far as Trump and Mom Donnie, Well,
- 5:56Speaker 2: you know, Mom Donnie, in that angry victory speech, you
- 6:00Speaker 2: know he's supposed to make a happy, wonderful victory speech.
- 6:03Speaker 2: But Mom, Donnie, it was just awful. It was really angry.
- 6:08Speaker 2: President Trump talked about it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It was a very angry speech, certainly angry toward me,
- 6:13Speaker 3: and I think he should be very nice to me.
- 6:14Speaker 3: You know, I'm the one that sort of has to
- 6:15Speaker 3: approve a lot of things coming to him. So he's
- 6:18Speaker 3: off to a bad start.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he's supposed to be able to work with the government.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I'm so torn because I would like to see the
- 6:23Speaker 3: new mayor do well because I love New York. I
- 6:26Speaker 3: really love New York. When I left New York for Washington,
- 6:30Speaker 3: New York was doing really well, but there were some
- 6:32Speaker 3: bad signs. The bad sign was a guy named the Blasio.
- 6:36Speaker 3: So the signs of the Blasio. That was the beginning,
- 6:39Speaker 3: and it was bad. This one. We're gonna look for
- 6:43Speaker 3: a thousand years, communism has not worked to just communism
- 6:47Speaker 3: or the concept of communism has not worked. I tend
- 6:51Speaker 3: to doubt it's going to work this time.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a very angry speech. I mean, especially
- 6:57Speaker 2: going after Trump.
- 6:58Speaker 4: So hear me, President Trump, when I say this, to
- 7:03Speaker 4: get to any.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Of us, you will have to get through all of.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Us, whatever that means. But he was the smiling salesman,
- 7:11Speaker 2: sort of a guy, and then he was this angry
- 7:13Speaker 2: protester at the speech. Total Jekyl and Hyde on his part.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Now he has said, and he said it yesterday, he
- 7:22Speaker 2: will keep Jessica Tish as police commissioner. That would make
- 7:25Speaker 2: people happy. A lot of people think she's doing a
- 7:27Speaker 2: great job. But he was disagreeing with You know, the
- 7:32Speaker 2: crime wave. You can pretty much see where it was
- 7:34Speaker 2: caused Andrew Cuomo. You got to give him a lot
- 7:37Speaker 2: of credit for causing the crime wave when he pushed
- 7:40Speaker 2: that no bail, no jail, that cashless bail. Cromo is
- 7:44Speaker 2: the one that pushed it. He went out and campaigned
- 7:47Speaker 2: for it, made speeches for it, signed it into law.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And then you add that the no bail, no jail
- 7:52Speaker 2: with Cuomo closing the prisons, letting the prisoners out. Then
- 7:55Speaker 2: you get Alvin Bragg who won't put it but he
- 7:57Speaker 2: in jail. There's your crime wave. That's it. Mom. Donnie
- 8:00Speaker 2: for some reason has been trying to blame it on
- 8:02Speaker 2: the pandemic. Why would the pandemic cause a crime wave?
- 8:08Speaker 2: I don't know. He keeps trying to Jessica Tish, did
- 8:11Speaker 2: police commission keeps explaining to him, it's this cashless bail.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Police officials will tell you it's the same twenty five
- 8:17Speaker 2: hundred criminals. They know who they are. They could round
- 8:20Speaker 2: him up in a couple of weeks. It's the same
- 8:22Speaker 2: twenty five hundred committing all the crimes, nothing to do
- 8:24Speaker 2: with the pandemic. But Mom Donnie won't doesn't believe it.
- 8:27Speaker 5: This is a decision to build on what she has
- 8:31Speaker 5: done in entering Eric Adams's NYPD where he stacked the
- 8:36Speaker 5: upper echelons with corruption.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's a different cut, wrong cut, wrong cut. But she
- 8:43Speaker 2: argues with the Mom Donnie, it was caused by the
- 8:46Speaker 2: no bail.
- 8:47Speaker 6: No jail.
- 8:47Speaker 7: In my opinion, crime went up as a result of
- 8:50Speaker 7: the drastic changes we made in our criminal justice laws
- 8:54Speaker 7: in New York State, not as a result of the pandemic.
- 8:58Speaker 2: But he disagrees.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Different opinion.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 9:02Speaker 4: My opinion is one that looks at the spike in
- 9:06Speaker 4: crime across the country over the course of the pandemic
- 9:11Speaker 4: and sees similar spikes.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah, now this other this was Uh, she got to
- 9:17Speaker 2: decide whether to keep Jessica Tay. She's saying it publicly
- 9:19Speaker 2: because it's maybe because it sounds good, or maybe he
- 9:22Speaker 2: really would. Now that, we don't know that she would
- 9:24Speaker 2: stay and work for him. Uh, you know a lot
- 9:26Speaker 2: of people don't want to work from the fire commissioners.
- 9:28Speaker 2: A great guy, Robert Tucker, he just quit. He just
- 9:31Speaker 2: announced he's leaving. So we don't know that she'll want
- 9:34Speaker 2: to work with him.
- 9:37Speaker 8: Now.
- 9:37Speaker 2: One thing he likes about her. When she took office,
- 9:39Speaker 2: there were a lot of corrupt not a lot, but
- 9:42Speaker 2: there was some corruption in the top level of the NYPD,
- 9:46Speaker 2: some very bad corrupt people there. She had and it's
- 9:49Speaker 2: tough to come in and fire all these people, very
- 9:51Speaker 2: high ranking people, but she cleaned house from the got
- 9:54Speaker 2: rid of these corrupt people, about twenty of them or something.
- 9:57Speaker 2: So he was happy about that.
- 9:59Speaker 5: This is a decision to build on what she has
- 10:03Speaker 5: done in entering Eric Adams's NYPD, where he stacked the
- 10:08Speaker 5: upper echelons with corruption and incompetence. She started to root
- 10:12Speaker 5: that out and also reduce crime, and also to create
- 10:18Speaker 5: the Department of Community Safety, and also to disband the
- 10:21Speaker 5: Strategic Response Group, and also to actually follow through on
- 10:25Speaker 5: the exact agenda that we've been running on.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, now his agenda again, that's why. I don't know
- 10:30Speaker 2: if she'll stay. He's got these crazy ideas, things like
- 10:32Speaker 2: the strategic response group that's for a mass shooter suddenly
- 10:36Speaker 2: on the scene. He needs stuff like that, and he
- 10:38Speaker 2: wants to you know, all this stuff about send social
- 10:41Speaker 2: workers on domestic violence calls. It's absolutely ridiculous and the
- 10:46Speaker 2: NYPD has tried it a dozen times over the last
- 10:48Speaker 2: forty years and it never, ever, ever, ever works. So anyway,
- 10:53Speaker 2: we'll get back to the mirural race. We'll get to Hey,
- 10:54Speaker 2: we'll walk you through. I'll explain to you step by
- 10:56Speaker 2: step how he got to be mayor, how he went
- 10:58Speaker 2: from zero to having fifty percent of the vote. It's
- 11:01Speaker 2: an interesting story. We'll get to that. You should see
- 11:04Speaker 2: the people that are just gushing over Mom Donnie. And
- 11:07Speaker 2: you think that the Democrats that well, we got no choice,
- 11:11Speaker 2: we got to vote Democratic, will vote for him now.
- 11:13Speaker 2: They love this guy, love this guy. There was Cynthia
- 11:16Speaker 2: Nixon Sex and the City Star. There she was at
- 11:19Speaker 2: the Mam Donnie victory speech, gushing all over him. Mandy Patinkin,
- 11:24Speaker 2: go look at the video. It's up on my Twitter.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Mandy Patinkin makes a video with Mam Donnie just drooling
- 11:30Speaker 2: all over him. How grad he is Keith McNally. Now,
- 11:33Speaker 2: this is a great restaurant tour Baltasar Pastise, Minetta Tavern
- 11:40Speaker 2: and saw some of the top finest, most expensive restaurants
- 11:43Speaker 2: in New York, he says McNally. McNally says, Mandannie is great.
- 11:48Speaker 2: He's exactly what we need. He's just the person we need.
- 11:52Speaker 2: This is going to be great. It's the dawning of
- 11:54Speaker 2: a wonderful new era. A guy who runs expensive elitist
- 11:59Speaker 2: restaurants on its a socialist. I don't know. You figure
- 12:03Speaker 2: it out. I can't, but it's absolutely insane. Don't panic though,
- 12:10Speaker 2: don't panic again. It could be a lot like the
- 12:12Speaker 2: Deblasio administration. That was eight years of that. We got
- 12:16Speaker 2: through that, just fine. We got through the pandemic. We'll
- 12:18Speaker 2: get through this. Hey. Next week is the very final
- 12:23Speaker 2: week of MSNBC. It will not exist after next Friday,
- 12:28Speaker 2: a week from tomorrow. That's it for MSNBC. It will
- 12:32Speaker 2: continue as something else. They're calling it ms now. Yesterday
- 12:37Speaker 2: they gave a little tour of their new studios. Not
- 12:40Speaker 2: only has NBC spun the company off and gotten rid
- 12:44Speaker 2: of it, they've ordered them to get the NBC name
- 12:47Speaker 2: and the logo out of their name. They've also evicted
- 12:50Speaker 2: them from Rockefeller Center. They've been thrown out of the building.
- 12:54Speaker 2: They're going to what they say it's temporary headquarters. It's
- 12:57Speaker 2: kind of steps down from where they are in Rockefeller Center.
- 13:03Speaker 2: The MSNBC studios Rockefeller Center are enormous, big, beautiful, lavish studios,
- 13:11Speaker 2: beautiful green rooms. They're moving to forty third Street Times Square.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It used to be the old New York Times building.
- 13:18Speaker 2: It's kind of an old, old, old Times Square building.
- 13:21Speaker 2: They'll be in there. They unveiled the new facilities. It's
- 13:23Speaker 2: small studios, not like that big you know, that MSNBC
- 13:27Speaker 2: studio when they would do that wide shot, how big
- 13:29Speaker 2: it was. Well, it's a small studio. I actually have
- 13:32Speaker 2: three studios, but they're three small, small studios. They say
- 13:37Speaker 2: it's going to be more efficient. It's going to be cheaper,
- 13:39Speaker 2: is what it means. Cheaper. It's going to be much cheaper.
- 13:42Speaker 2: So next Friday is the last day, Friday, the fifteenth,
- 13:47Speaker 2: and then I guess on Saturday it'll start. You'll see
- 13:49Speaker 2: and it'll be in this small little studio. It'll be
- 13:51Speaker 2: called ms NOW. And everything has been cut from You know,
- 13:55Speaker 2: they have a resources of NBC News with correspondence and
- 14:00Speaker 2: all over the world that can turn to the vast
- 14:03Speaker 2: resources of NBC News. They'll be losing that too, So
- 14:06Speaker 2: I don't know what they'll do. You can make a
- 14:08Speaker 2: deal with these networks to use their you can be
- 14:11Speaker 2: an affiliate of theirs. So they may try doing that,
- 14:14Speaker 2: but it's going to be a whole different place. MS now,
- 14:18Speaker 2: it'll start a week from from Saturday. Hey, other good news,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi retires. She's now one hundred and thirty seven
- 14:27Speaker 2: years old, and said, yeah, it's time. Actually we see
- 14:31Speaker 2: eighty five. She's eighty five years old. She retires a
- 14:34Speaker 2: very very very very powerful figure in the Democratic Party
- 14:38Speaker 2: in Washington, d C. So it's a big thing that
- 14:40Speaker 2: she's leaving. Also, give her credit. She was the greatest
- 14:45Speaker 2: stock trader insiding and when it comes to insider trading,
- 14:48Speaker 2: she was the Warren Buffett of insider trading. A lot
- 14:51Speaker 2: of these people you're allowed to do it. It's legal
- 14:54Speaker 2: in Congress. You're allowed to engage in insider trading. And
- 14:58Speaker 2: if you're in Congress, you get all kinds of information
- 15:00Speaker 2: ahead of the public about you know, FDA approval or
- 15:05Speaker 2: test results or somebody's going to get a contract. You
- 15:08Speaker 2: really have inside information way ahead of the public, and
- 15:11Speaker 2: it's legal. I don't know why they haven't changed this law.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Well we do because Congress would have to change it.
- 15:15Speaker 2: You're allowed to engage in insider trading, and that's how
- 15:18Speaker 2: somebody like Mikey Cheryl doesn't know what the hell she's doing,
- 15:22Speaker 2: suddenly makes seven million in a stock trade. But give
- 15:25Speaker 2: Pelosi credit, She's the Warren Buffett of insider trading, probably
- 15:29Speaker 2: set the all time record, got herself up to I
- 15:31Speaker 2: think eight hundred million with the insider trading, hundreds and
- 15:36Speaker 2: hundreds and hundreds of millions. Anyway, we'll get back to
- 15:38Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. We've got a lot to talk about. We'll
- 15:41Speaker 2: get to that coming up, and we'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:47Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Get instant access to Mark by setting a freeset in
- 15:56Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wo or.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Steve at Manhattan.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Steve how you doing all right?
- 16:11Speaker 6: And you know everybody's surprised about this election. You bring
- 16:15Speaker 6: in a million Third world Is and they vote for
- 16:17Speaker 6: a third World of for Maya, and you're surprised by this.
- 16:21Speaker 2: All right, Steve, thanks for Colin. Let's go to Dave
- 16:23Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Dave, how you doing?
- 16:26Speaker 9: Hey?
- 16:26Speaker 10: With everything that's going on, I'm just a little bit
- 16:29Speaker 10: better than perfect hey with this thing with Mikey Cheryl.
- 16:33Speaker 10: She says she's gonna freeze the price on the electric
- 16:36Speaker 10: bills in New Jersey. Does that mean they can't go
- 16:40Speaker 10: down as well?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Well, that's probably that's a good point. That's probably what
- 16:44Speaker 2: she meant. Yeah, because you got President Trump in office
- 16:48Speaker 2: who's going to increase drilling and natural gas. You know,
- 16:51Speaker 2: his all of the above approaches. Everything you got that
- 16:55Speaker 2: does bring prices down. And there's more and more and
- 16:58Speaker 2: more and more drilling, which brings oil prices down. So
- 17:01Speaker 2: you're right, that's probably why she wants to freeze it.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 17:07Speaker 6: Oh?
- 17:07Speaker 9: I'm tickety boo, but I want to say something. I
- 17:11Speaker 9: agree with you that Leticia James has probably the it
- 17:15Speaker 9: of salary. But I mean she almost shook down the
- 17:19Speaker 9: two party system by bankrupting the love of good candidate?
- 17:23Speaker 9: Is there any consequence.
- 17:24Speaker 10: Of this ever gonna happen of what happening?
- 17:29Speaker 9: I mean, is she going to face any sort of Oh.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she's been indicted. She's been indicted on charges
- 17:33Speaker 2: of mortgage fraud. She's about to go to trial. She's
- 17:36Speaker 2: in fact hired Abby Lowell, who is the top Washington
- 17:42Speaker 2: d C attorney. That's the guy to go to. So
- 17:44Speaker 2: she's taking this very seriously if she hired Abby Lowell. Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 2: she's already under indictment mortgage fraud, and apparently there's more
- 17:52Speaker 2: charges coming because when you get caught with that mortgage fraud,
- 17:56Speaker 2: you then get hit with tax fraud because you're cheating
- 17:59Speaker 2: the rs, so they'll be tax fraud, all sorts of
- 18:02Speaker 2: stuff coming. Yeah, she's already under indictment, already lawyered up,
- 18:06Speaker 2: already headed to court. Let's go to Jim in Brooklyn. Jim,
- 18:09Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 18:11Speaker 6: Doing great? I just had a little tidbit about that
- 18:14Speaker 6: Louver heist in France.
- 18:16Speaker 2: The louver, Oh the louver, Yes, yes, the lose.
- 18:20Speaker 6: Sorry I like to mispronounce French.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Okay, I work were you involved?
- 18:28Speaker 6: I wish I get my name out there. But anyway,
- 18:32Speaker 6: they not only were they using for the security system
- 18:36Speaker 6: Windows XP. You remember that, Yeah, I mean that's like
- 18:39Speaker 6: fifteen twenty years old. Okay, the password for their entire
- 18:43Speaker 6: security system. You're gonna like this, Yeah, you better write
- 18:47Speaker 6: it that.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Well, we don't have much time. It's only a two
- 18:49Speaker 2: hour show. You got to get it. You gotta strut
- 18:51Speaker 2: the sentence.
- 18:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It was louver, I mean the lover. Yeah. Okay, well
- 18:56Speaker 2: that's a pretty good password because a lot of people
- 18:58Speaker 2: can't spell how do you spell it? L o U
- 19:03Speaker 2: v r E. I think I don't know. Yeah, well
- 19:05Speaker 2: it's government, you know, government run stuff. They use old, old,
- 19:08Speaker 2: old equipment. They're on an old Windows XP. But but
- 19:12Speaker 2: still it was more to it than that. And they
- 19:15Speaker 2: really seriously think that there was an insider or too
- 19:20Speaker 2: involved who showed them the security system, showed them all this,
- 19:24Speaker 2: and they still haven't figured out the jewels were stolen.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Was it a collector, some very very wealthy collector, some
- 19:31Speaker 2: sort of James Bond villain type of guy who wanted
- 19:34Speaker 2: them just to have them and hired this team to
- 19:36Speaker 2: do it, or was the idea. I mean, you can't
- 19:40Speaker 2: just sell the pieces. They're too well known. Was the
- 19:42Speaker 2: idea to bust them up and sell all the jewels separately.
- 19:46Speaker 2: They've caught to two of them. They'll get the rest eventually.
- 19:49Speaker 2: And again they still think they've got some sort of
- 19:52Speaker 2: cell phone records, some sort of digital communication between people
- 19:56Speaker 2: inside the museum and these guys, so they think there
- 19:59Speaker 2: was some insight. I'd help. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 20:02Speaker 2: how you doing, good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 20:07Speaker 1: White Dahak claiming to be a Cuomo sexual when he
- 20:10Speaker 1: was standing remember Joy the pandemic.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Yeah, we're talking about Yeah, your phone keeps cutting out.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You're we're talking about the You gotta remember when Cuomo
- 20:21Speaker 2: was popular. That was when he did those daily press conferences,
- 20:24Speaker 2: those daily briefings during the pandemic, and people used to
- 20:27Speaker 2: watch them every day and they, you know, they called
- 20:30Speaker 2: them Cuomo sexuals. He was like a matinee star every day.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And uh, Joy Behar and the others. But you have
- 20:38Speaker 2: to remember something. It was a lockdown. It was a pandemic.
- 20:42Speaker 2: You were trapped in your house a lock a literal lockdown.
- 20:45Speaker 2: You were trapped in your house and frightened. That's why
- 20:48Speaker 2: everybody watched that every day. That's why he became so popular.
- 20:52Speaker 2: If he tried it now now, right now, just every
- 20:56Speaker 2: day at noon, he'll talk for an hour, nobody would
- 20:59Speaker 2: watch it. It's only because you were terrified of the
- 21:01Speaker 2: pandemic and you couldn't go anywhere. You were stuck there
- 21:05Speaker 2: watching it. So and it was on every channel. So
- 21:07Speaker 2: it's not that he was great at a press conference.
- 21:09Speaker 2: It's not that he had anything to say. That's why
- 21:11Speaker 2: it worked. If he did it right now, every day
- 21:14Speaker 2: live YouTube, you'll give you nobody. His own family wouldn't
- 21:18Speaker 2: watch it. It's like you remember the when the Iraq
- 21:21Speaker 2: War broke out. It was kind of scary to a
- 21:23Speaker 2: lot of people. We were suddenly at war in Iraq
- 21:25Speaker 2: and Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense. Rumsfeld did that daily briefing,
- 21:30Speaker 2: same thing happening. You go back and look up these articles.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Rumsfeld was suddenly a superstar. They all loved Rumsfeld. And
- 21:38Speaker 2: you know, once people weren't so scared and they didn't
- 21:40Speaker 2: have to watch it, and then nobody they al sudden
- 21:42Speaker 2: everybody hated him. So again, let's challenge Cuomo do a
- 21:46Speaker 2: daily press conference every day right now, twelve noon every
- 21:49Speaker 2: day for an hour. Let's see who you can get
- 21:51Speaker 2: to watch it now, just based on your personality. Hey,
- 21:54Speaker 2: when we come back, Steve Moore, we hope we'll be
- 21:56Speaker 2: with us. Steve Moore, the great economists. We'll talk about
- 21:59Speaker 2: the shutdown, the economy, and a whole lot more coming
- 22:02Speaker 2: up next on seven ten Woor mister.
- 22:06Speaker 1: New York marks them on Kevin B.
- 22:09Speaker 2: W Alarm. Well, he got a great economist, Steve Moore.
- 22:14Speaker 2: You should get his book, The Trump Economic Miracle. You'll
- 22:17Speaker 2: love it and you should check out. He runs the
- 22:19Speaker 2: Committee to Unleash Prosperity. And every day they put out
- 22:22Speaker 2: the best daily briefing, the best news, analysis and stories.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It's free. It'll come right to your email for free.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You can just go subscribe it. Just go to Unleash
- 22:31Speaker 2: Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing.
- 22:36Speaker 8: Hey, Mark, Well, I've been doing better. I'm not real
- 22:39Speaker 8: happy about what happened on Tuesday. I'm kind of despondent
- 22:43Speaker 8: about it. Actually, that you know, more than half of
- 22:47Speaker 8: New York voters voted for a socialist. I don't quite
- 22:50Speaker 8: understand it. I don't understand why you know when you
- 22:54Speaker 8: may know that I met Milton Freeman and became friends
- 22:57Speaker 8: with us towards the end of his life. And I
- 22:59Speaker 8: remember one of the last dinners I had with him
- 23:02Speaker 8: before he died. You know, he turned to me, he said, Steve,
- 23:04Speaker 8: you know that he was kind of despotting himself. He said,
- 23:07Speaker 8: you know, the enduring lesson of the twentieth century for
- 23:10Speaker 8: anyone who's historian, was that, you know, socialism, communism, Leninism,
- 23:17Speaker 8: all these things are a disaster and a free enterprise,
- 23:21Speaker 8: free markets are what great prosperity. And yet and he said, yet,
- 23:25Speaker 8: all these kids are graduating from college thinking the opposite.
- 23:29Speaker 8: And he was right, and we've learned that. You know,
- 23:31Speaker 8: did you see it was the college educated who wrote
- 23:33Speaker 8: from MANDONI.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but these colleges about twenty five thirty years ago
- 23:37Speaker 2: became indoctrination centers, left wing kooch professactly.
- 23:40Speaker 8: How do we think it's actually been going on for
- 23:42Speaker 8: more than twenty five years? But they're in doctrinating with
- 23:45Speaker 8: kids with completely lunatic ideas. And you know, I was
- 23:49Speaker 8: on Fox the other day and Will Kane asked me, hey, Steve,
- 23:53Speaker 8: has socialism communism ever worked anywhere, And I said, well,
- 23:56Speaker 8: it could work in heaven, you know, where people are angels,
- 24:00Speaker 8: but you know here on earth, where we're not angels.
- 24:02Speaker 8: You know, you need a you know, where we pursue
- 24:06Speaker 8: our self interest. You know, the best way to organize
- 24:09Speaker 8: a society is for enterprise.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah, well, listen, it didn't work the first one hundred
- 24:15Speaker 2: and seventy five thousand times.
- 24:16Speaker 11: Maybe it'll work this time exactly, could be you know,
- 24:20Speaker 11: you never you never say number.
- 24:22Speaker 8: But but listen, I mean the idea, for example, of
- 24:24Speaker 8: raising the income tax rate to sixteen and a half
- 24:28Speaker 8: percent when you're all ready the highest tax city in
- 24:32Speaker 8: the North America and you want to retain your status
- 24:37Speaker 8: as the you know, the financial capital of the world
- 24:41Speaker 8: with Wall Street, how are you going to do that
- 24:43Speaker 8: with a tax that high? It's going to people. I've
- 24:45Speaker 8: said it and I've said it again. I believe now
- 24:48Speaker 8: Wall Street is going to slowly continue to move out
- 24:51Speaker 8: of New York and it'll move probably to Dallas, Texas.
- 24:54Speaker 9: Well.
- 24:54Speaker 2: They already have these huge yo Wall Street, the huge
- 24:58Speaker 2: operations Dallas and other places. But yes, are those more
- 25:01Speaker 2: backroom jobs that's not actual trading floors, are they?
- 25:06Speaker 8: Well, they're gonna, Yeah, they're going to have a tax
- 25:07Speaker 8: Texas Stock exchange. They just opened one a month ago. No,
- 25:10Speaker 8: I don't know how far along it is. I don't know,
- 25:13Speaker 8: but you know, I think one thing that may happen is,
- 25:15Speaker 8: you know, they're going to have to get a crane
- 25:17Speaker 8: and lift the iconic bowl on Wall Street and move
- 25:20Speaker 8: it to Dallas, you know. And it's just it's sad
- 25:23Speaker 8: because New York is one of our most important, you know,
- 25:26Speaker 8: our most important and powerful city, not just in the
- 25:29Speaker 8: United States, but I say in the world. And uh,
- 25:32Speaker 8: we got eight million people live there. And you know
- 25:34Speaker 8: what's really sad about this is the people are going
- 25:37Speaker 8: to take the biggest hit of these lowest income people
- 25:40Speaker 8: because you know, when the millionaires and billionaires leave, they're
- 25:42Speaker 8: not going to pay all these taxes and then and
- 25:45Speaker 8: then who's going to pay them?
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, one thing about socialism that does work. Whenever
- 25:50Speaker 2: the government socialists, you know, when they try to help
- 25:52Speaker 2: the poor, somehow, it always ends up helping the rich
- 25:55Speaker 2: a lot more, very wealthy people too.
- 25:57Speaker 8: Well, tru Yeah, it is, that's absolut true. And and
- 26:01Speaker 8: you see that, by the way, like California is another
- 26:04Speaker 8: good example. You know, the left always talks about, you know,
- 26:07Speaker 8: the division of wealth and the gap between the rich
- 26:09Speaker 8: and poor. You know what state has the biggest gap
- 26:11Speaker 8: between rich and poor California, and yet they have the
- 26:14Speaker 8: most liberal you know, and the second most you know,
- 26:17Speaker 8: biggest gap between rich and poors is in New York.
- 26:20Speaker 8: Now what's going to happen. You're going to raise your
- 26:22Speaker 8: taxes right on all the rich people, and they're going
- 26:26Speaker 8: to a lot of not all of them, but a
- 26:28Speaker 8: lot of them will leave. And you know, when the
- 26:31Speaker 8: head of Citadel, Ken Griffin, left Chicago. As you know,
- 26:33Speaker 8: I grew up in Chicago, so I followed Chicago very closely.
- 26:36Speaker 8: And when I grew up, it was one of the
- 26:38Speaker 8: ten greatest cities on the planet. And then they started
- 26:42Speaker 8: electing these crazy, uh you know, people like Brandon Johnson,
- 26:47Speaker 8: and so these people like Ken Griffin up and left.
- 26:50Speaker 8: He's a billionaire and all of a sudden, all that
- 26:52Speaker 8: he was the single biggest philanthropist in the city. He
- 26:55Speaker 8: you know, gave money to the Museum of Science and Industry,
- 26:58Speaker 8: all the homeless shelters, all the food kitchens, all the
- 27:01Speaker 8: you know, orphanages, blah blah, blah, And then they said, gee,
- 27:04Speaker 8: what happened all that money? Why isn't he given us
- 27:07Speaker 8: money anymore? He didn't live there anymore.
- 27:08Speaker 6: You idiots.
- 27:09Speaker 2: He moved. Yeah, you know, he bought a two hundred
- 27:12Speaker 2: and fifty million dollar apartment right down this right two
- 27:15Speaker 2: blocks over on fifty ninth Street there. So yeah, but
- 27:18Speaker 2: I think he technically lives in Florida. So but give
- 27:21Speaker 2: people some hope. Then we go through this with the Blasio.
- 27:24Speaker 2: We got through eight years of him. Won't it. It'll
- 27:26Speaker 2: be okay, won't it.
- 27:28Speaker 8: You know, yeah, I think it's not going to be
- 27:30Speaker 8: a disaster, but it's going to it's just going to
- 27:32Speaker 8: be a demise of New York City. And you know,
- 27:37Speaker 8: you know what's most maddening about this, or something you
- 27:39Speaker 8: can appreciate is, you know, when in the mid nineties
- 27:43Speaker 8: when Rudy Giuliani was elected mayor, and by the way,
- 27:46Speaker 8: Rudy was not a saint. I like Rudy a lot,
- 27:48Speaker 8: but you know, he's not a saint. But he did
- 27:50Speaker 8: a lot of things that were just obvious. He cut taxes,
- 27:52Speaker 8: he reduced crime, He got rid of the graffiti and
- 27:55Speaker 8: the and the failth in the city, and he made
- 27:59Speaker 8: it a livable city again. And guess what, New York
- 28:02Speaker 8: City had a renaissance and it was great to see
- 28:05Speaker 8: you could see a week after.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You lived there.
- 28:06Speaker 8: Right during Rudy's retrain, you just got better and better
- 28:09Speaker 8: and better. And what's so sad is now you've got
- 28:12Speaker 8: Mndonnee coming, who's going to go right back to the
- 28:15Speaker 8: policies before Rudy came in, and you were just going
- 28:17Speaker 8: to see a decline and it's gonna be a steady
- 28:20Speaker 8: and slow decline, but it is going to happen because
- 28:24Speaker 8: show me anywhere where you raise taxes and it's it's
- 28:26Speaker 8: made things better.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Hey, Steve Moore, all kinds of rumors coming out of
- 28:31Speaker 2: Washington that the shutdown will end on Friday. Democrats wanted
- 28:34Speaker 2: to use it in the election, that they'll make a
- 28:36Speaker 2: deal Friday.
- 28:37Speaker 11: What do you think, Well, I think they've been in
- 28:40Speaker 11: boldened by this election, which you know, which was a
- 28:43Speaker 11: big landslide for Democrats, and so now they feel like
- 28:47Speaker 11: they don't have to make a deal at least that's
- 28:48Speaker 11: what I'm hearing from my senate friends, that it's that's
- 28:51Speaker 11: making it harder to get a deal from them because
- 28:54Speaker 11: they want to stick it to Trump, but it's causing
- 28:56Speaker 11: real problems. I travel all the time. I missed your
- 28:59Speaker 11: Soul last week because I was on the road. And
- 29:01Speaker 11: you know, you get to the airports. Now it's chaos,
- 29:04Speaker 11: you know, it really is. You know, it seems like
- 29:06Speaker 11: twenty percent of the flights are either delayed or canceled,
- 29:09Speaker 11: and people you can't get through the security lines and
- 29:11Speaker 11: all of this stuff.
- 29:12Speaker 8: And you know, the thing that's so maddening is this
- 29:14Speaker 8: is exactly what the Democrats wanted. They wanted the case
- 29:17Speaker 8: they want, the mayhem they want. They wouldn't even open
- 29:20Speaker 8: up the they wouldn't even pay the military for goodness sakes.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Well, that's one good thing about the shutdown. We get
- 29:26Speaker 2: we have you here. We know you're going to be
- 29:27Speaker 2: here every Thursday with the shutdown.
- 29:29Speaker 8: Yeah, oh my gosh. But it's you know, look, this
- 29:33Speaker 8: is this is all going to turn out. And the
- 29:34Speaker 8: good news is, you know a lot of people said, oh,
- 29:36Speaker 8: the big problem right now they vote from any because
- 29:39Speaker 8: of the affordability crisis. So now I guess the government's
- 29:42Speaker 8: just going to give stuff away for free.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah, inflation. They hit Trump with this that you know,
- 29:48Speaker 2: he's problems with inflation. It's absolutely not true. Inflation was very,
- 29:53Speaker 2: very high. It's coming down slowly, but it's coming down,
- 29:56Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 29:56Speaker 8: Yes, it is.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 8: And you know people are angry, like my wife about
- 30:00Speaker 8: how much you pay for you know, coffee and you
- 30:03Speaker 8: know beef and things like that. Well, yeah, that's because
- 30:06Speaker 8: they went up by twenty five percent when when Biden was.
- 30:08Speaker 6: President, you know.
- 30:09Speaker 8: And now the Democrats are blaming. And by the way,
- 30:12Speaker 8: why did prices go through the roof? Because they spent
- 30:14Speaker 8: and borrowed five trillion dollars. That's why.
- 30:17Speaker 2: As I remember, long before Trump won, asking you how
- 30:21Speaker 2: long will it take for it to come down really
- 30:23Speaker 2: take effect, you said it will take a year to
- 30:26Speaker 2: really fix that.
- 30:27Speaker 8: And he has. It's been nine months. He's already done.
- 30:29Speaker 8: I mean, we're at we're at three percent inflation right now,
- 30:31Speaker 8: which is still above where we want to be. But
- 30:34Speaker 8: ladies and gentlemen, it went up to nine point one
- 30:36Speaker 8: percent under Biden, So that's one third as high as
- 30:39Speaker 8: it was when Biden was president. Uh so we're making
- 30:41Speaker 8: progress here. And by the way, the four percent economic
- 30:44Speaker 8: growth is what the Atlanta Fed is now saying four percent.
- 30:47Speaker 8: We never had four percent growth under Biden.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know they throw in healthcare and educational court.
- 30:54Speaker 2: That's not really a product of inflation. That's a whole
- 30:56Speaker 2: separate problem, isn't it the healthcare?
- 30:59Speaker 8: You know, this is a real danger mark because I
- 31:03Speaker 8: have some friends who called me yesterday said they just
- 31:05Speaker 8: got their healthcare statement about what's going to happen with
- 31:09Speaker 8: their premiums next year that they pay for their health care,
- 31:12Speaker 8: and they're going up twenty five to thirty in some
- 31:13Speaker 8: cases thirty five percent. That's not Trump didn't wait a
- 31:17Speaker 8: minute fifteen years ago, didn't we pass something called the
- 31:20Speaker 8: Affordable Care Act? I thought that was going to get
- 31:22Speaker 8: rid of all these price increases. You know, since we've
- 31:24Speaker 8: paid we passed the Affordable Care Act, the cost of
- 31:28Speaker 8: healthcare is tripled.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and again not that's not an inflation. That's a
- 31:32Speaker 2: whole other situation causing that.
- 31:35Speaker 8: It's because we have the government running the healthcare system.
- 31:37Speaker 8: You know, what was the old line by what was
- 31:42Speaker 8: his name, that the humorous PJ. O'Rourke used to say,
- 31:44Speaker 8: do you think healthcare is expensive? Now wait till the
- 31:46Speaker 8: government gives it away for free?
- 31:50Speaker 2: Well, Steve Moore, great stuff. Everybody. Get his book, The
- 31:52Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle. You'll learn a lot. Also, you got
- 31:56Speaker 2: the best daily briefing I've ever. It's free. It comes
- 31:59Speaker 2: to your meetmail every day. Just go go to Unleashed
- 32:02Speaker 2: Prosecution sign up for it Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore,

- 32:57Speaker 2: Coming up the next hour, we'll get to mom, Donnie,

- 33:01Speaker 2: from zero to getting a majority of the vote in
- 33:04Speaker 2: New York. We'll get to that and a lot more
- 33:06Speaker 2: coming up in the next hour. Don't forget Buck and
- 33:09Speaker 2: Clay Noon Today with an excellent show, and then Sean
- 33:13Speaker 2: Hannity Live from Long Island Today. The Big Patriot Awards
