  God desires for you to continue to do good deeds.

  No matter what people say or what people do, you are to do the right thing.

  You are to live your life in such a way that no one can speak evil of you with cause.

  Your life should exhibit so much godliness that it shuts up the ignorant men
• 1:21
  and women who find fault with you.

  For so is the will of God, that with well-doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

  Hello and welcome to this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.

  And perhaps this is a touchy subject for many people, and that is about putting
• 1:48
  to silence those people who are picking at you,
• 1:52
  those people who are finding fault in you, and those people who seem to always
• 1:58
  make it very difficult for you to do the right thing and find some sort of fault
• 2:04
  with the right thing that you're doing.
• 2:06
  I submit to you, don't let it get to you.
• 2:09
  I promise you that if you're working for the Lord, the devil's going to work
• 2:13
  overtime to try to get you to stop.
• 2:15
  And one of the things that he does is he discourages you
• 2:19
  and he can make you tired and he can make you
• 2:22
  feel like you're ineffective and he can also begin
• 2:25
  to make other people make it very difficult for you to do the right thing and
• 2:31
  what we want to do as humans our fleshly side when someone starts picking at
• 2:36
  us or someone starts finding fault with us or someone just can't seem to understand
• 2:42
  what it is that you're doing.
• 2:44
  And so therefore, they create some crazy idea or some crazy story that whatever
• 2:50
  it is that you're doing, which is really good, and they begin to create something
• 2:54
  to make it look bad or they make it look like you're doing it for the wrong reason.
• 2:59
  And that is all the devil being part of it.
• 3:03
  And I believe that you'll see all throughout scripture that when the devil is
• 3:07
  fighting you the hardest, you must be doing the best work.
• 3:12
  And so it's time that we as Christians realize that it's Jesus that we need to please.
• 3:18
  It's time that we realize that when Jesus gives us a purpose to do,
• 3:23
  a call on our lives, a work for him to do, that we need to be laser focused on him.
• 3:30
  Because as soon as we begin to look around at the crowd around us,
• 3:34
  the devil's going to slip something in to make you begin to doubt whether you're effective,
• 3:39
  perhaps even make you doubt whether you understood what it was you were supposed to do,
• 3:43
  and will surely make it difficult for you to do it as people begin to ridicule
• 3:48
  you and they begin to twist what you're doing and try to make something bad
• 3:53
  out of something good that you're doing.
• 3:55
  But the truth of the matter is when you persevere in Jesus Christ,
• 4:00
  you can just let him fight that battle.
• 4:03
  When he has called you to do something, he will lay your enemies at your feet.
• 4:08
  But you have to resist the temptation to fight back.
• 4:14
  To resist the temptation to tell them what you're thinking.
• 4:18
  Stop trying to convince everyone around you that you're doing the work of the
• 4:22
  Lord and just get busy doing the work of the Lord.
• 4:27
  Sometimes the world can't understand when you want to selfishly give to someone else.
• 4:34
  That's not the way of the world. That's not the way of the devil.
• 4:38
  And it should be the way of every Christian and every child of God.
• 4:42
  To give the love of Jesus and to give of ourselves, even if it costs us money
• 4:49
  or it costs us our time or it's inconvenient.
• 4:54
  That is true Christian service. and
• 4:58
  a lot of times when you find yourself in situations
• 5:02
  where you're doing that people can't understand
• 5:05
  it and they will begin to devise ulterior
• 5:09
  motives as to why you're doing that
• 5:12
  and for many of us that
• 5:16
  causes us to stop and then
• 5:19
  the devil has won and we've lost
• 5:22
  the blessing of carrying out the work god
• 5:26
  has asked us to do but what he
• 5:29
  tells us to do all through scripture and especially
• 5:33
  in this verse is that you
• 5:35
  just keep doing the will
• 5:39
  of god and in doing so
• 5:42
  you just let these people shut
• 5:45
  themselves up because they will surely run out of stuff to say don't fight it
• 5:50
  you go about doing your father's business and you allow him to fight your battles
• 5:55
  just like little david did and when you don't use the armor of the world and you allow christ to.
• 6:03
  To take the battle on for you then you'll
• 6:06
  have complete victory you see
• 6:09
  it's an interesting thing the bible
• 6:12
  tells us that had i not faint i would have fainted had i not believed i would
• 6:20
  see the goodness of the lord in the land of the living that's psalm chapter
• 6:25
  27 and verse 13 and what What we learn from that verse is you've got to believe.
• 6:32
  And Hebrews says that you must believe that he is and that is a rewarder of
• 6:36
  them that diligently seek him.
• 6:38
  You've got to believe in who he is. And you've got to believe that he's going to provide for you.
• 6:44
  And you've got to believe that he's going to protect you.
• 6:46
  And you've got to believe that he's not going to lead you to do something for
• 6:51
  someone else if he doesn't give you what you need to do it.
• 6:54
  And you can be sure that as soon as you're on the job, the devil's there too.
• 6:59
  Trying to impede you from doing something for Jesus,
• 7:02
  trying to impede you from showing someone the love of Christ,
• 7:06
  because he doesn't want anyone to believe in who Christ is, and he doesn't want
• 7:10
  anyone to see that the love of Christ in you will show love to others.
• 7:16
  And so you've got to understand that you've got to persevere,
• 7:20
  even in the midst of opposition, because you know that Christ has called you to that purpose.
• 7:29
  It is better to do right than it is to be right.
• 7:34
  And you say, Kimmel, what do you mean? Well, you can be very right in a conversation
• 7:39
  that you have two opposing sides.
• 7:42
  But you can be so adamant in how you win that argument and so ruthless in how
• 7:50
  you bulldoze over everyone.
• 7:51
  Even though you were correcting your stance, your behavior was not appropriate.
• 7:57
  And that is a horrible situation for a child of the Most High God to be in.
• 8:03
  For in all times, in all ways, and for all purposes, a child of God should be
• 8:11
  exhibiting the love of Christ.
• 8:13
  And the love of Christ does not condemn.
• 8:16
  The love of Christ reaches down to where a person is, and he picks them up,
• 8:20
  and he brings them to where he is.
• 8:22
  And as Christians, we don't need to condemn our brothers and sisters.
• 8:26
  We don't need to judge our brothers and sisters. We simply need to love our
• 8:30
  brothers and sisters, showing them what Christ says in his scriptures and to
• 8:35
  bring them to where we are, that they might be able to walk in the fullness of God.

  We have to do right.
• 8:43
  Sometimes that means swallowing your pride. Pride always goes before a fall.
• 8:49
  And God exalts the humble and gives more grace to those that are humble.

  So we need to live our lives in
• 8:56
  the presence of god which will surely eliminate self-pride
• 9:00
  but sometimes we've got to just
• 9:03
  shove ourself aside and lift him
• 9:06
  up do you realize that you may
• 9:09
  be the only bible that the people in your workplace ever read you might be the
• 9:14
  only bible that the cashier who continually gets your change wrong ever sees
• 9:19
  and maybe you know she owes you a dollar and 46 cents and it's difficult for
• 9:25
  her to come up with that and and one day you just blow a fuse.
• 9:29
  And you've totally lost any opportunity you could to show her grace and forgiveness.
• 9:34
  Because I promise you that every day you are doing something that if God treated
• 9:39
  you the same way you treat the
• 9:41
  people in your lives, he would be blowing a fuse on you. But he doesn't.
• 9:46
  Because he loves you. And that same love that he loves you with,
• 9:51
  he instills in his children. And we are to give that love to others.
• 9:55
  And understand that it may take someone a little longer to do what you can do quickly.

  Or maybe you need to, in love, help one get to where they need to go.

  But you don't ever need to be exalting yourself above the other.

  We have to do well. So that when people speak of the actions we do,
• 10:18
  there is nothing they can say that is true.

  That would point them anywhere but to jesus
• 10:25
  we need to live our lives in such a
• 10:28
  way that if they're creating stories about
• 10:32
  the work that you're doing that sooner
• 10:36
  or later everyone will see they're false because there's no
• 10:39
  data to back up their statements but whatever
• 10:42
  you do don't let their false lies keep you
• 10:46
  from achieving the work that god has set
• 10:48
  out for you to do he says that is
• 10:52
  the will of god that with well-doing you
• 10:55
  may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men he
• 10:59
  doesn't say that we are to stand and condemn
• 11:02
  them with scripture he doesn't say that we are to stand and fight back because
• 11:09
  we're right he says no just keep doing good and you'll put them to silence let
• 11:15
  your actions speak of the new creature in christ that you are that happened when you believed.
• 11:22
  When old things were passed away and all things had become new.
• 11:25
  Let your works for the Lord show others that you love him.
• 11:31
  And that you care about the brethren more than you care about yourself.
• 11:35
  That you're willing to be his hands extended. To be his feet extended. To be his eyes.

  That you're willing to show the love of Christ to those around you.
• 11:48
  And let your actions, your godly actions, your witness and your light.
• 11:57
  Shut up the ones around you.
• 11:59
  Let Jesus in you do the speaking for you.
• 12:05
  If we would just spend more time in prayer and more time in his holy word so
• 12:12
  that we would be able to put the whole armor of God upon us as we ask God to
• 12:18
  surround us and to go before us and to lead us and to guide us.
• 12:23
  And we ask him to help those who despitefully use us.
• 12:28
  He tells us in Matthew 5, verse 44, that we're to love our enemies.
• 12:32
  We're to pray for them that despitefully use us.
• 12:35
  And when you come to your knees in prayer and you begin to pray for those individuals
• 12:40
  and you unleash all of heaven in that situation,
• 12:45
  then you too will understand for so
• 12:48
  is the will of God that with well-doing you may put to silence
• 12:52
  the ignorance of foolish men don't
• 12:55
  be counted foolish thank you.
