- 1:04Speaker 3: Hey?
- 1:05Speaker 1: I'm okay, how are you?
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm good? So, well, what's going on? You get a
- 1:08Speaker 2: secret you've been holding on to. From what I understand it,
- 1:10Speaker 2: I guess it's for it's a secret that it happened
- 1:12Speaker 2: a while ago.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's probably been over a year at this point. Okay,
- 1:15Speaker 3: So what happened?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I feel terrible about it?
- 1:18Speaker 3: Well, so my wife came home one night.
- 1:21Speaker 1: She she still talks about this, by the way, she
- 1:24Speaker 1: had this horrible night where she was driving home from
- 1:26Speaker 1: work and she hit a coyote. Yeah, and it was
- 1:31Speaker 1: She's like a huge.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Animal lover, so it was it was terrible for her.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And she came home and she was really shaken up,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and she was trembling and pale, and I know, just
- 1:41Speaker 1: feeling terrible. And she said she just you know, couldn't
- 1:45Speaker 1: get the image out of her head. And it happened
- 1:47Speaker 1: really fast and all that kind of thing. So, you know,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I try to comfort her. I I hugged her and
- 1:52Speaker 1: told her, you know, she didn't do anything wrong. She
- 1:54Speaker 1: couldn't have you know, really couldn't be helped, you know
- 1:57Speaker 1: what I mean. But later I was driving to home
- 2:01Speaker 1: depot and I wasn't even really thinking about what happened
- 2:04Speaker 1: with her. But then I passed the part of the
- 2:07Speaker 1: road where she told me she she hit the coyote,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and I saw something lying there and it wasn't actually
- 2:15Speaker 1: a coyote.
- 2:16Speaker 3: It was a dog.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and she thought it was okay, So she
- 2:24Speaker 2: thought it was a coyote and she had oh god.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And I don't know who it belongs to, but I've
- 2:30Speaker 1: seen I had. I recognized the dog. I knew that
- 2:33Speaker 1: it was from from our neighborhood, and I'm pretty sure
- 2:37Speaker 1: I saw a neighborhood kid walking it around a few times.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And we're big dog.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Lovers, so yeah, oh my god, I pay attention to
- 2:44Speaker 3: that kind of thing.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But so what do you do, Like, I obviously know
- 2:48Speaker 2: what you lied about now, because there's no way you're
- 2:50Speaker 2: going to go back and you're going to tell her, oh, yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 2: you didn't get you didn't hit a coyote, you hit
- 2:54Speaker 2: a dog, our neighbors dog.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I mean I did everything could. I pulled over, I
- 3:01Speaker 1: I tried to Steven had a collar on it, and
- 3:03Speaker 1: it didn't. I just kind of stood there, like trying
- 3:06Speaker 1: to figure out what the differ I couldn't. I couldn't
- 3:09Speaker 1: tell her.
- 3:10Speaker 2: That's the worst feeling ever. I mean, because I've hit
- 3:13Speaker 2: a squirrel before.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awful.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Laughing I said, I hit a squirrel, and he starts
- 3:19Speaker 2: cracking out, why are you laughing about that?
- 3:21Speaker 1: That?
- 3:22Speaker 3: I love squirrels.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I hit a squirrel. I was so affected that whole day.
- 3:27Speaker 2: That whole day, I was sad. But they are stupid
- 3:30Speaker 2: because he ran right in front of my car.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Squirrels.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I think it was on purpose.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Get rabbits to try to run, like they jump in
- 3:40Speaker 2: front of your pause and like it's go or not go,
- 3:44Speaker 2: you dumb stupid rabbit. Anyway, but this is different. So
- 3:52Speaker 2: you never told her. You just had to move on
- 3:54Speaker 2: and go, you know what. And she still doesn't know
- 3:56Speaker 2: to this day.
- 3:57Speaker 3: No, no, I mean she would be destroyed by.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. Well, you know what, you're a good
- 4:03Speaker 2: husband for doing that. That's the same thing I would do.
- 4:05Speaker 2: That's the same thing any good man would do.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no reason she should know an accident, Yeah, exactly.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You know what I would have told. I'd be like, hey, baby,
- 4:13Speaker 2: wouldn't believe this. I saw when I passed that Coyota.
- 4:15Speaker 2: You hit it got up, it twitched and ran away,
- 4:18Speaker 2: so it's still alive. Don't worry about it, you know
- 4:22Speaker 2: what I mean. Like, I was in the car one
- 4:23Speaker 2: time and I hit a bunny with my son rider
- 4:25Speaker 2: and this when he was real little, and that bunny
- 4:27Speaker 2: was flattened obviously, but he's like, Dad, did we hit
- 4:30Speaker 2: the bunny? And I was like, oh no, no, it
- 4:31Speaker 2: made it just under our tire and it's fine.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I saw him run off. Yeah, I saw him run off. No,
- 4:36Speaker 2: yopped off to the bunny patch. I swear to god,
- 4:38Speaker 2: he's not a pancake on the road right now. I
- 4:41Speaker 2: promise you he's not flattened. We just got to go
- 4:44Speaker 2: home a different route now.
- 4:45Speaker 3: So you don't see it exactly.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Well, sir, thank you for being confessing, and hopefully you
- 4:51Speaker 2: feel better. At least you got it off. You just
- 4:53Speaker 2: keep you keep it forever.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, thank you.
- 4:57Speaker 2: No, I just feel pooh it will laugh at the
- 5:00Speaker 2: inappropriate times. Ever, why is that For twenty five years
- 5:04Speaker 2: I've known him, and somebody could be saying something so
- 5:08Speaker 2: serious and you'll just look over him and to be like.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It's your facial expression.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Don't blame me, tell you.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Sometimes in real like I'm public. I look away if
- 5:19Speaker 2: someone says something serious because I know he's gonna start laughing, right, Yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 2: I try to deflect her, yeah, and look at him
- 5:27Speaker 2: like you could be like I remember this one time,
- 5:29Speaker 2: this like girl was talking about we were at the
- 5:31Speaker 2: club or something. This is a long time ago, and
- 5:33Speaker 2: she's like, yeah, it's just sad because you know, my
- 5:35Speaker 2: grandma died. I'm like, what's so funny about that. It
- 5:40Speaker 2: was just your face when you said when she said
- 5:43Speaker 2: her gramma died, I.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Didn't say you like a hope like that.
- 5:48Speaker 2: You're like, oh, that's sad, and he's look, it's your fault. No,
- 5:54Speaker 2: it's you.
- 5:55Speaker 1: It is not me, it's you.
