- 1:13Speaker 5: He wants to be, but is way grateful that is
- 1:17Speaker 5: not who he used to be.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Here all right, welcome Kevin McCulloch.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Lead to have you with us. It is a busy Monday.
- 1:28Speaker 1: If you've been paying attention to the news, lots of
- 1:30Speaker 1: things going on lots of things happening back and forth,
- 1:35Speaker 1: and as I have tried to keep all of it
- 1:37Speaker 1: straight in even my just my own head, it is.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It has been a rocky day.
- 1:44Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It is interesting to think, and I kinda kind of
- 1:48Speaker 1: chuckle at myself about this. It is interesting to think
- 1:53Speaker 1: that the whoever the guys are that are still quote
- 1:58Speaker 1: running Iran, think that they are in any kind of
- 2:02Speaker 1: position to be bargaining with anybody right now. And one
- 2:07Speaker 1: of the things that we've seen is that the President
- 2:10Speaker 1: had said, you have forty eight hours you open the
- 2:13Speaker 1: straight of horn moves or there's going to be all out.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You know what to pay, And I think that he
- 2:20Speaker 1: means it. Friends, I don't think this president is the
- 2:23Speaker 1: kind of normal president. I don't think he's the kind
- 2:26Speaker 1: of guy, let me be clear that says I'll draw
- 2:30Speaker 1: a line in the sand, a red line in the sand,
- 2:34Speaker 1: as mister Obama did, and then just watch everybody just
- 2:37Speaker 1: run right over the line and it didn't matter at all.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It's like, that's not this guy. It's he's not George W.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Bush in terms of saying, hey, we're gonna go get
- 2:50Speaker 1: this war done and then we're going to set up
- 2:52Speaker 1: a different government, and we're going to make sure that
- 2:54Speaker 1: the they do all the things the way we want.
- 2:56Speaker 1: That he doesn't want us tied up in a forever war.
- 3:01Speaker 1: But if these goat herders in Iran think that they
- 3:06Speaker 1: are in some way out foxing him, they are massively
- 3:11Speaker 1: misunderstanding the equation. Because while they shot down one of
- 3:16Speaker 1: our F fifteen's, like one of the only things they've
- 3:18Speaker 1: hit in the course of the war, they didn't even
- 3:22Speaker 1: capture the guy that was flying the F fifteen.
- 3:24Speaker 6: We went and got him.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And that was a big thing, like you, okay, you
- 3:30Speaker 1: shot him down, but we still got our guy and
- 3:33Speaker 1: we got him back. And oh, by the way, this
- 3:36Speaker 1: is the part none of us knew until about midday
- 3:38Speaker 1: today while they were running that search and rescue mission,
- 3:44Speaker 1: which Iran was trying to find him too. Iran wanted
- 3:47Speaker 1: to find the pilot so that they could make him
- 3:49Speaker 1: a captive and torture him and you know, do all
- 3:53Speaker 1: kinds of horrible, heinous things to him. But they didn't
- 3:57Speaker 1: get a chance to. But while they were, while everybody
- 3:59Speaker 1: was looking over there, I guess what we did. Sentcom
- 4:04Speaker 1: Commander Admiral Brad Cooper directed a strike on the Iranian
- 4:10Speaker 1: Republican Guard headquarters in an underground facility near Tehran on
- 4:14Speaker 1: Sunday as the forces were rescuing the airmen. The strike
- 4:21Speaker 1: came at the same time that the US was conducting
- 4:24Speaker 1: extensive and ultimately successful rescue operations to recover the missing
- 4:29Speaker 1: crew member of the down fifteen E. What is so
- 4:35Speaker 1: amazing about how we are executing this operation is that
- 4:41Speaker 1: it has come as close to flawless as is possible.
- 4:48Speaker 1: We are not killing massive numbers of Iranian civilians. We're
- 4:55Speaker 1: not even killing that many numbers of Iranian Republican Guards.
- 5:00Speaker 1: We've killed the top leadership, We've killed all the people
- 5:02Speaker 1: that have wished death to America. But the Iranian people
- 5:09Speaker 1: are getting a free country. For them to decide what
- 5:13Speaker 1: they want from it and how they want to press
- 5:15Speaker 1: forward with it. That's all up left to them. But
- 5:19Speaker 1: we're not and we're not apologizing for it. We're going
- 5:22Speaker 1: to make the regions safer by taking out their uranium
- 5:25Speaker 1: and not allowing them to get the nuclear weapons. That's
- 5:28Speaker 1: the part that we benefit from. Israel benefits from that
- 5:32Speaker 1: as well. But at the end of the day, this
- 5:34Speaker 1: is going to give them an opportunity to craft a
- 5:37Speaker 1: country that they want, and what they've clearly not wanted
- 5:41Speaker 1: for the last forty seven years was what they had.
- 5:45Speaker 1: They weren't living in freedom. They didn't choose the Ayatolas
- 5:48Speaker 1: by choice. This was something that they did through threat
- 5:54Speaker 1: of death. And by the way, many many people still
- 5:57Speaker 1: resisted anyway, and a lot of them died for resisting.
- 6:03Speaker 1: That's the bottom line when it comes to where we
- 6:06Speaker 1: are at with that. President Trump said the US outmaneuvered
- 6:09Speaker 1: and misdirected a vast military operation in Iran aiming to
- 6:12Speaker 1: capture the missing US airman. Trump said more than one
- 6:16Speaker 1: hundred and fifty US aircraft were involved in the rescue operation,
- 6:19Speaker 1: with many of those serving merely as distractions to divert
- 6:22Speaker 1: Iran's attention. The President made the comments today at the
- 6:27Speaker 1: White House, adding that he is confident that Iran could
- 6:29Speaker 1: be taken out in one night. The US is currently
- 6:33Speaker 1: engaged in talks with Iran through Pakistan, as mediators into
- 6:38Speaker 1: the final hours of Trump's forty eight hour window are
- 6:40Speaker 1: attempting to make a deal ticked down. Trump vowed on
- 6:43Speaker 1: Sunday that the US would begin targeting Iran's power plants
- 6:46Speaker 1: and bridges if the Strait of Hormuz was not opened
- 6:49Speaker 1: before Tuesday. And by the way, they did take out
- 6:55Speaker 1: maybe the most important bridge.
- 6:58Speaker 2: For Iran.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Within the last twenty four hours. So he's not making
- 7:04Speaker 1: it up and he's not bluffing. He is going to
- 7:08Speaker 1: do what is necessary to be successful, because that is
- 7:13Speaker 1: just the way this current president operates. He does what
- 7:19Speaker 1: he says, and he says what he means.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:22Speaker 1: The missing crew member who was rescued on Sunday, had
- 7:27Speaker 1: broadcasted God is Good on encrypted radio. After rejecting from
- 7:30Speaker 1: the aircraft, the weapons systems officer hiked and climbed more
- 7:35Speaker 1: than seven thousand feet in the hours before he was rescued,
- 7:38Speaker 1: despite sustaining minor injuries to his legs during the ejection,
- 7:42Speaker 1: The officer made his way to a ridgeline and hid
- 7:44Speaker 1: in a crevice, where he was eventually rescued. The officer,
- 7:47Speaker 1: who has yet to be identified, remains in good condition
- 7:50Speaker 1: and is scheduled to be transported to an American base
- 7:53Speaker 1: in Germany today.
- 7:55Speaker 2: So that's.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's what we're looking at all. Right on today's show.
- 8:02Speaker 1: It is a Monday Monday, which means we're going to
- 8:04Speaker 1: take a look at the markets. How are the metals
- 8:06Speaker 1: markets responding. David Fisher will be with us from Landmark
- 8:10Speaker 1: Gold a little bit later on Hillary Kramer. You see
- 8:12Speaker 1: her on Fox Business all the time. She'll be with
- 8:14Speaker 1: us to take a look at the stocks and how
- 8:17Speaker 1: they're responding, and very interested in what you have to
- 8:21Speaker 1: say about all of that. I also have some really
- 8:24Speaker 1: really extraordinary news. Friends. We asked you to help us
- 8:31Speaker 1: feed children, and I didn't know you were going to
- 8:33Speaker 1: be as generous as you are, and I didn't know
- 8:35Speaker 1: that you were going to continue to be generous. But
- 8:37Speaker 1: we have a few days left in our campaign, and
- 8:41Speaker 1: when we've done so much good so far for so
- 8:46Speaker 1: many kids, I just want to say thank you very simply.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You know we're aiming for seven hundred and twenty children
- 8:57Speaker 1: to be helped. Well, I have to say, because of
- 9:02Speaker 1: the matching gift that was in effect for much of
- 9:06Speaker 1: our campaign, we have now reached fifteen hundred and nine
- 9:10Speaker 1: children that we've helped, and I have gotten when that
- 9:14Speaker 1: there are two hundred and forty three that need our
- 9:17Speaker 1: help almost as much as the seven hundred and twenty did.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So our goal and the hope if you will jump
- 9:26Speaker 1: in on board with us, is that you would help
- 9:30Speaker 1: us take care of this.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But there's another two hundred and forty three children.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Seventy five dollars feeds one of them two meals a
- 9:36Speaker 1: day for the next year. It also provides them all
- 9:40Speaker 1: the clean water that they can drink for that year.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three
- 9:45Speaker 1: eight f five nine zero seven four six seven three.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough coming right back a brand new week of
- 9:50Speaker 1: how do we Lift next?
- 10:08Speaker 8: Here he is from New York that Kevin McCullough.
- 10:14Speaker 1: All right, welcome friends. It is Monday, and it's I
- 10:19Speaker 1: don't know about where you're at. If you're in San Diego,
- 10:21Speaker 1: you probably had a beautiful Easter yesterday, or Honolulu or
- 10:25Speaker 1: one of those places. Here in the New York area,
- 10:27Speaker 1: it was kind of rainy and cold, so it wasn't
- 10:29Speaker 1: very Easter celebratory of weatherwise yesterday. But today it sure
- 10:33Speaker 1: is beautiful in the New York area, lots of sunshine.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And I just pray a friend that wherever you were at,
- 10:39Speaker 1: however you celebrated the resurrection of Jesus, that you did
- 10:43Speaker 1: so deeply and demonstratively the greatest story that's ever been
- 10:48Speaker 1: told just popped out in front of our eyes, and
- 10:51Speaker 1: we have the opportunity to spread that joy every single day. Now,
- 10:56Speaker 1: what we do in this segment is we asked the
- 10:58Speaker 1: big questions, and you know that I believe we don't
- 11:00Speaker 1: ask the big questions nearly enough.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Who am I? Why am I here? What's my purpose?
- 11:05Speaker 1: How do we live in light of all that? That's
- 11:08Speaker 1: why we take this time at the first part of
- 11:10Speaker 1: the show to say, Okay, how do we live in
- 11:13Speaker 1: a world that may not be down with our Jesus,
- 11:17Speaker 1: in a world that may look at the Bible as
- 11:20Speaker 1: something that they just cannot stand at all, And maybe
- 11:22Speaker 1: they look at you as somewhat suspect because you claim
- 11:26Speaker 1: belief in one or both of those things. That's the
- 11:28Speaker 1: purpose of this segment. And I'm very honored to have
- 11:31Speaker 1: a long time listener and friend, pastor in the New
- 11:34Speaker 1: York area join us. You know that last year we
- 11:37Speaker 1: did this with just New York Area Shepherds, and this
- 11:39Speaker 1: year we've been able to pull in pastors from all
- 11:42Speaker 1: over the country and I'm really grateful for all of that.
- 11:44Speaker 1: But Pastor Steve Malasso has been in the pulpit for forty years,
- 11:49Speaker 1: and he's the lead pastor at Bethlehem Church here in
- 11:52Speaker 1: the New York areas that they've actually got multiple locations.
- 11:55Speaker 1: They've got one in Valley Stream and Rosedale and Baldwin.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But he is someone that many other pastors in the
- 12:02Speaker 1: area look up to and Steve, it's always good to
- 12:05Speaker 1: spend some time with you, never quite long enough, but
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'm hoping that this week rectifies that a little bit.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Thank you so much, Kevin. You so honored to be
- 12:12Speaker 9: with you today.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Now recently you have been speaking with some of your people.
- 12:18Speaker 1: You're going through a series in part seven of the
- 12:20Speaker 1: series is literally having to do with the people that
- 12:25Speaker 1: we have around us. And when I think of when
- 12:29Speaker 1: I think of seasons of my life that have been
- 12:32Speaker 1: really successful, not necessarily monetarily or even career wise, but
- 12:37Speaker 1: just where there's been a lot of peace and a
- 12:39Speaker 1: lot of joy and a lot of growth in my
- 12:41Speaker 1: own heart and life, that's usually accompanied by a season
- 12:46Speaker 1: in which I've had some really good people around me.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And I will also say to the adverse and one
- 12:51Speaker 1: of my darkest seasons of life, where I really felt
- 12:55Speaker 1: like things were kind of I just didn't know if
- 12:57Speaker 1: they were going to work out okay or not. I
- 12:59Speaker 1: had four of the godliest men I'd ever known, grateful
- 13:03Speaker 1: to have as friends, and they were all older than me,
- 13:05Speaker 1: but they all came around me and they boosted me
- 13:08Speaker 1: in that season of life, literally kind of like carrying
- 13:12Speaker 1: me on the mat to be lowered down through the
- 13:14Speaker 1: roof to see Jesus tear the roof off. They carried
- 13:18Speaker 1: the mat. This is who we have around us is
- 13:21Speaker 1: really really important, and this week we're going to look
- 13:24Speaker 1: at this from a very specific perspective. But why do
- 13:27Speaker 1: you say the people that we surround ourselves with make
- 13:31Speaker 1: such a difference in how we live?
- 13:34Speaker 10: Well, I think it is absolutely a proven fact that
- 13:39Speaker 10: the people that you have around you can determine your future.
- 13:43Speaker 10: I mean, the Bible's really clear. It consistently teaches us
- 13:46Speaker 10: that people that we surround ourselves with influences.
- 13:50Speaker 9: Who we become.
- 13:51Speaker 10: And so I want to say, our relationships will determine
- 13:55Speaker 10: our success in life, are even our future?
- 13:58Speaker 9: You know, relationships share our character.
- 14:01Speaker 10: Proverbs thirteen twenty warns us that if we walk with
- 14:05Speaker 10: the wise, we become wise, but if we're a companion
- 14:08Speaker 10: the fools, we suffer harm, and First Corinthians fifteen thirty
- 14:12Speaker 10: three warns us, don't you know, posts don't be misled.
- 14:15Speaker 10: Bad company corrupts good people, corrupts good morals, right, And
- 14:19Speaker 10: so you know, relationships so often influenced the direction of
- 14:23Speaker 10: our life. And I'm reminded of Proverbs twelve twenty six
- 14:27Speaker 10: the righteous choose their friends carefully. And that's what I
- 14:31Speaker 10: would say to young people all the time. In fact,
- 14:33Speaker 10: I scream it from the mountaintop, and I say, young people,
- 14:37Speaker 10: make sure you choose your friends wisely, because friends are
- 14:40Speaker 10: like buttons on an elevator that make you.
- 14:42Speaker 9: Go up or down.
- 14:44Speaker 10: And it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're
- 14:47Speaker 10: hanging around turkeys.
- 14:48Speaker 9: And so, you know, the Bible is clear that, you know, we.
- 14:52Speaker 10: Need to choose our friends wisely because the way of
- 14:55Speaker 10: the wicked leads them astray when we're not really you know,
- 14:59Speaker 10: connected to the right people. And so relationships don't just
- 15:03Speaker 10: affect how we feel. They really affect where we end
- 15:06Speaker 10: up in life. And relationships, you know, they either strengthen
- 15:10Speaker 10: us or they hurt us. You know, I'm reminded of Ecclesiastes,
- 15:14Speaker 10: for where there's two or better than one because they
- 15:17Speaker 10: have a good return for their labor. And then it
- 15:20Speaker 10: goes on to say, you know, if one falls, there's
- 15:23Speaker 10: somebody there to pick them up. And I think that discipleship.
- 15:28Speaker 10: I think that the journey that we're on as Christians,
- 15:33Speaker 10: really it demands that we have the right people in
- 15:39Speaker 10: our life. I would not be kevin, I would not
- 15:42Speaker 10: be the person that I am. Whatever you know good
- 15:46Speaker 10: that the Lord has allowed me to do in my
- 15:49Speaker 10: life without some really important people in my life.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I agree with that, And as I said in the opening,
- 15:58Speaker 1: there have been seasons where I know, oh that my
- 16:01Speaker 1: friendships and the people that I have had in my
- 16:04Speaker 1: path have directly contributed to everything from my own spiritual
- 16:09Speaker 1: sanity to you know, giving me wise counsel, to at
- 16:14Speaker 1: times asking me for counsel and me having an opportunity
- 16:18Speaker 1: to counsel with them. It's one of those things where
- 16:22Speaker 1: I just I don't think it's refutable that your friends
- 16:26Speaker 1: are unimportant.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And as I'm a dad, you know, I.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Think about my sixteen year old and my thirteen year old,
- 16:31Speaker 1: and my eleven year old, and especially my eleven year
- 16:33Speaker 1: old because she's my daughter. I want them to have
- 16:37Speaker 1: lots and lots of quality friends in their life, people
- 16:42Speaker 1: that understand the importance of who God is and all
- 16:46Speaker 1: the rest of it. But let me ask you something
- 16:49Speaker 1: that may maybe this was part of your series, maybe
- 16:52Speaker 1: it wasn't, but I just want to ask it. Anyway,
- 16:53Speaker 1: as we were coming up to Resurrection weekend, and I
- 16:57Speaker 1: don't call it Easter. I call it Resurrection Sunday because
- 17:01Speaker 1: that's what happened. Jesus walked out of the grave, which
- 17:04Speaker 1: is pretty cool, yes, But when we were coming up
- 17:08Speaker 1: to Holy Weekend, I was rewatching through the last season
- 17:13Speaker 1: that is out of the Chosen and I know that
- 17:17Speaker 1: there's some artistic interpretation by Dallas Jenkins and the team
- 17:21Speaker 1: and so forth in terms of, you know, some aspects
- 17:24Speaker 1: of it, but for the most part, it's a faithful
- 17:25Speaker 1: telling of Jesus and his disciples, and this last season
- 17:29Speaker 1: was all on the Upper Room, and it would just
- 17:34Speaker 1: it just struck me that Jesus had picked these twelve
- 17:38Speaker 1: people who didn't necessarily look like the heroes in Shining Armor.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It just seems to me that if friends were important
- 17:48Speaker 1: to Jesus, they should be important to us.
- 17:52Speaker 10: I couldn't agree more, you know, because we just don't
- 17:56Speaker 10: need faith.
- 17:56Speaker 9: We need the right people around our faith.
- 17:58Speaker 10: I mean, the Bible from Genesis Revelation talks about community.
- 18:03Speaker 10: If you know, God has a family. In fact, you know,
- 18:06Speaker 10: he creates Man, and you know, he creates Adam, and
- 18:11Speaker 10: and Adam's got all these animals around him. But the
- 18:15Speaker 10: Lord says it is not good for him to be alone.
- 18:19Speaker 10: And I always say, you know, he put he put
- 18:21Speaker 10: Adam to sleep, and then he said, you know, I
- 18:23Speaker 10: think I could do a little a little.
- 18:24Speaker 9: Bit better and meet woman. I mean, we're gonna allo.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I mean, they justng and smart.
- 18:31Speaker 9: They're just strong and smart, you know, and they they're
- 18:33Speaker 9: just amazing.
- 18:34Speaker 10: But but I think that you know, like looking at
- 18:36Speaker 10: my wife, obviously she I've been married for forty three
- 18:40Speaker 10: years and I couldn't do this life without my wonderful wife.
- 18:43Speaker 10: You know, God puts people in our life because God
- 18:48Speaker 10: is a communal god. He's a God of family, and
- 18:51Speaker 10: so we've got to have the right family around us.
- 18:54Speaker 10: And truthfully, so often our breakthroughs, our miracles, even our
- 18:59Speaker 10: God moments are tied to the people that are around us.
- 19:02Speaker 10: And you know, so often, you know, we think about
- 19:05Speaker 10: God doing something in us, but so often we need
- 19:08Speaker 10: to recognize he could do a lot of stuff through
- 19:11Speaker 10: us to touch other people. Right, And so I think
- 19:14Speaker 10: of the story in the Bible of the four men
- 19:18Speaker 10: that bring this lame man to Jesus. It's such a
- 19:21Speaker 10: powerful story. And the truth is, it's not just a
- 19:24Speaker 10: story about a miracle. It's really a story about relationship.
- 19:29Speaker 10: It's really a story about this lame man had the
- 19:31Speaker 10: right people around him. He had four men around him
- 19:35Speaker 10: that helped him get to Jesus. And you know, I
- 19:39Speaker 10: know that Jesus is the personal you know, he's personal.
- 19:41Speaker 10: He's a personal God. And you know, I can go
- 19:44Speaker 10: to Jesus anytime I want. But sometimes I'm so discouraged.
- 19:48Speaker 10: Sometimes I'm depressed, whatever, I'm confused, I'm too busy in
- 19:53Speaker 10: my own brain, you know, sometimes that I just can't,
- 19:57Speaker 10: you know, connect with the Lord. But there's people around
- 20:00Speaker 10: me that can encourage me, that can build me up
- 20:03Speaker 10: sometimes even just hold me accountable.
- 20:06Speaker 9: Mentor me and help me to experience Jesus even.
- 20:11Speaker 4: More, you know.
- 20:12Speaker 10: And so this lame man actually could have he had
- 20:15Speaker 10: no chance of getting to Visus unless he had the
- 20:19Speaker 10: right men around him. And so, you know, you know,
- 20:22Speaker 10: the story is just a powerful story.
- 20:25Speaker 9: You alluded it for a moment.
- 20:27Speaker 1: On that note, we have to kind of live everyone
- 20:30Speaker 1: on a cliffhanger because tomorrow we're going to pick up
- 20:32Speaker 1: right where we left off. But there's four types of
- 20:35Speaker 1: people you must have in your life. That's what we're
- 20:37Speaker 1: looking at this week, is we asked the big question,
- 20:39Speaker 1: how do we live? Kevin mccallaugh coming right back from
- 20:43Speaker 1: New York. Don't go away, stick around for more of
- 20:50Speaker 1: that Kevin next time here he is from New York.
- 21:10Speaker 1: That Kevin, Kevin McCullough, Welcome back to Times Square. It's
- 21:16Speaker 1: Calen McCullough. That Kevin show. Always glad to have you
- 21:19Speaker 1: with us and always eager to make a difference by
- 21:21Speaker 1: helping feed those who are hungry and get clean drinking
- 21:24Speaker 1: water to children who do not have.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Any well problems.
- 21:34Speaker 11: Our main problem is that we need money and we
- 21:37Speaker 11: need work. My wife and I have to go to
- 21:40Speaker 11: the coast to find work, and we have to pay
- 21:42Speaker 11: a lot of money to get there and to come back.
- 21:45Speaker 11: And what they pay us if it doesn't train, they
- 21:47Speaker 11: pay us twenty five catsalas for the day and sometimes
- 21:51Speaker 11: by the time we work and we come back, it's
- 21:53Speaker 11: not really you know, a lot of money. So here
- 21:56Speaker 11: we are lacking in food, We're lacking in clothing, we're
- 21:59Speaker 11: lacking in water. And this house whenever it rains, not
- 22:02Speaker 11: only does it come from all over the place, but
- 22:06Speaker 11: we also have water coming in from from a top of.
- 22:08Speaker 8: The mountain running into the house.
- 22:21Speaker 11: My wife and I cry with them also when they cry,
- 22:24Speaker 11: because we know that we have nothing to give.
- 22:26Speaker 12: Them to eat.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I don't know, friend, if you are able to hear
- 22:43Speaker 1: children cry and be unloved by.
- 22:47Speaker 2: It, but I can't.
- 22:49Speaker 1: It doesn't it doesn't work with me. I there's something
- 22:52Speaker 1: in me. I think it's the dad gene that just
- 22:55Speaker 1: like immediately, like literally, the hair is on the back
- 22:57Speaker 1: of my neck and arms just start standing up because
- 23:00Speaker 1: something wrong. When a child is so mournful and so
- 23:05Speaker 1: in pain, you hear it in the whimpers and in
- 23:08Speaker 1: the cries of the children in the background there. That
- 23:11Speaker 1: is why every year, this time of year, I am
- 23:15Speaker 1: so excited that I get to partner with my friends,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and I consider them dear friends. I've been with them
- 23:22Speaker 1: for I don't know twenty years now on the air.
- 23:24Speaker 1: But going back to my Chicago days, so it's quite
- 23:27Speaker 1: a while, but we have the opportunity to come together
- 23:32Speaker 1: to tell you about not only what the need is
- 23:35Speaker 1: and to hear the cries of the babies, but to
- 23:38Speaker 1: also then be an answer to the prayer for the
- 23:41Speaker 1: mom that is facing that dilemma. And here to discuss
- 23:45Speaker 1: is Paul Jacobs from Food for the Poor, My very
- 23:48Speaker 1: good friends, Food for the Poor. Paul, you go out
- 23:52Speaker 1: with your team and part of your job is to
- 23:55Speaker 1: gather these stories. And I'm just curious your dad. I've
- 23:59Speaker 1: known you for a long time time. You you hear that,
- 24:02Speaker 1: you hear that child crying, and you know that there's
- 24:04Speaker 1: nothing for that child in the immediacy of the moment
- 24:06Speaker 1: that you're there recording it and capturing it. You can't
- 24:10Speaker 1: do anything in that moment.
- 24:23Speaker 8: Here he is from.
- 24:24Speaker 3: New York, That Kevin, Kevin mccullaugh, Welcome back to Times Square.
- 24:32Speaker 1: It's Calen McCullough that Kevin show. Always glad to have
- 24:34Speaker 1: you with us and always eager to make a difference
- 24:37Speaker 1: by helping feed those who are hungry and get clean
- 24:39Speaker 1: drinking water to children who do not have.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Any hell problems.
- 24:50Speaker 11: Our main problem is that we need money, and we
- 24:53Speaker 11: need work. My wife and I have to go to
- 24:55Speaker 11: the coast to find work, and we have to pay
- 24:58Speaker 11: a lot of money to get there.
- 24:59Speaker 1: And come back.
- 25:01Speaker 11: And what they pay us if it doesn't rain, they
- 25:03Speaker 11: pay us twenty five kit salas for the day, and
- 25:06Speaker 11: sometimes by the time we work and we come back,
- 25:08Speaker 11: it's not really you know, a lot of money. So
- 25:11Speaker 11: here we are lacking in food, we're lacking in clothing,
- 25:14Speaker 11: we're lacking in water. And this house, whenever it rains,
- 25:18Speaker 11: not only down does it come from all over the place,
- 25:21Speaker 11: but we also have water coming in from from a
- 25:24Speaker 11: top of the mountain running into the house. My wife
- 25:37Speaker 11: and I cry with them also when they cry, because
- 25:40Speaker 11: we know that we have nothing to give them to eat.
- 25:47Speaker 12: You know, I don't.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Know, friend, if you are able to hear children cry
- 26:01Speaker 1: and be unmoof by it, but I can't. It doesn't
- 26:06Speaker 1: work with me. There's something in me. I think it's
- 26:09Speaker 1: the dad gene that just like immediately, like literally, the
- 26:12Speaker 1: hairs on the back of my neck and arms just
- 26:14Speaker 1: start standing up. Because there's something wrong. When a child
- 26:17Speaker 1: is so mournful and so and.
- 26:20Speaker 2: So in pain.
- 26:21Speaker 1: You hear it in the whimpers and in the cries
- 26:24Speaker 1: of the children in the background there. That is why
- 26:27Speaker 1: every year, this time of year, I am so excited
- 26:31Speaker 1: that I get to partner with my friends and I
- 26:34Speaker 1: consider them dear friends. I've been with them for I
- 26:37Speaker 1: don't know twenty years now on the air, but going
- 26:41Speaker 1: back to my Chicago days, so it's quite a while.
- 26:44Speaker 1: But we have the opportunity to come together to tell
- 26:48Speaker 1: you about not only what the need is and to
- 26:51Speaker 1: hear the cries of the babies, but to also then
- 26:54Speaker 1: be an answer to the prayer for the mom that
- 26:57Speaker 1: is facing that dilemma. To discuss is Paul Jacobs from
- 27:02Speaker 1: Food for the Poor, My very good friends, Food for
- 27:04Speaker 1: the Poor.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Paul.
- 27:07Speaker 1: You go out with your team and part of your
- 27:10Speaker 1: job is to gather these stories. And I'm just curious.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Your dad, I've known you for a long time. You
- 27:16Speaker 1: hear that, you hear that child crying, and you know
- 27:19Speaker 1: that there's nothing for that child in the immediacy of
- 27:21Speaker 1: the moment that you're there recording it and capturing it,
- 27:25Speaker 1: you can't do anything in that moment. How do you
- 27:28Speaker 1: deal with that? Yeah, there's two sides of me.
- 27:31Speaker 13: I mean, you know, as a father with three daughters,
- 27:33Speaker 13: as a You know, I have thirteen nieces and nephews.
- 27:37Speaker 13: You know when you talk about that, that crying, and
- 27:40Speaker 13: that's not a normal cry, because you know, I usher
- 27:45Speaker 13: a church and I hear and I walk through the
- 27:47Speaker 13: children's church and I hear that crying all the time.
- 27:49Speaker 13: Mom took a pen away because you were writing on
- 27:51Speaker 13: the back of the pew, or and there's a cry.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Or I'm hungry, here'll be milk now, But it.
- 27:56Speaker 13: Is, yeah, it's differently, so true. Oh, but that day
- 28:02Speaker 13: there was a different cry. And so the other side
- 28:05Speaker 13: to that is the father and me seeing the face
- 28:08Speaker 13: of a father Jose as he stands there and this
- 28:12Speaker 13: little girl tugging on his shirt. The bottom of his
- 28:15Speaker 13: shirt is in this piercing cry of hunger, piercing cry
- 28:19Speaker 13: of desperation, and that desperation was met in my eyes
- 28:23Speaker 13: when I looked him in the face and said, we're
- 28:26Speaker 13: here to hear your story. We're here to know how
- 28:29Speaker 13: we can help you. The pastor was there with us
- 28:31Speaker 13: on this particular visit, and he was sharing with us
- 28:34Speaker 13: all the needs of this community. And so we're here
- 28:36Speaker 13: telling you that you don't need to pack up, pull
- 28:39Speaker 13: out your passport and pack up a bag and head
- 28:41Speaker 13: down to Guatemala, head down to Haiti with us. We've
- 28:43Speaker 13: already done the work. We already have the pastors in place.
- 28:47Speaker 13: There are already local churches that are ready to respond
- 28:49Speaker 13: to the needs of fathers like Jose and daughters crying
- 28:52Speaker 13: out for desperate hunger. We just need your compassionate generosity
- 28:57Speaker 13: to do this, to help provide life, safe food and water,
- 29:01Speaker 13: access to water, potable, safe drinking water for these children
- 29:06Speaker 13: in these families. I'm asking you to just consider that, Yes,
- 29:09Speaker 13: your gift of one hundred and fifty dollars tells two
- 29:12Speaker 13: crying children that they're going to eat and give them
- 29:15Speaker 13: access to water. Your gift of any size is going
- 29:18Speaker 13: to be matched providing twice as many, twice as many
- 29:21Speaker 13: children with food and access to water. But I want
- 29:23Speaker 13: you to consider the intangible ingredients to what your gift
- 29:27Speaker 13: is providing. It is providing dignity for that parent, that father,
- 29:31Speaker 13: that family. I remember myself what that face looks like
- 29:35Speaker 13: because it was in the face of my own father,
- 29:37Speaker 13: a single parent working two and three jobs, seven days
- 29:40Speaker 13: a week, trying to keep food on the table. And
- 29:42Speaker 13: you're also helping keep these families together. You heard Jose
- 29:46Speaker 13: He shared that oftentimes his wife and he have to
- 29:49Speaker 13: travel there hours to go find work because there's nothing
- 29:53Speaker 13: there locally. Imagine keeping that family together, in addition to
- 29:56Speaker 13: feeding those children, in addition to giving dignity back to
- 29:59Speaker 13: those fathers.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Here's the phone number. It's eight five five nine zero
- 30:03Speaker 1: seven four six seven three eighty five five nine zero
- 30:06Speaker 1: seven four six seven three eight five five nine zero
- 30:09Speaker 1: seven four six seven three. Write it down for me,
- 30:12Speaker 1: please eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three.

- 30:36Speaker 1: the life of one kid. And when you think about
- 30:38Speaker 1: how easily you spend money on everything else, and I'm
- 30:41Speaker 1: not asking you to stop spending money on anything else.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I'm not judging your monetary habits. But if you can afford,
- 30:47Speaker 1: if I can afford a fifty six dollars lunch for
- 30:49Speaker 1: my family of five driving through Chick fil A on
- 30:52Speaker 1: a Saturday, can I set aside seventy five dollars in
- 30:55Speaker 1: one month just to help a child get fourteen hundred meals?
- 30:58Speaker 1: Come on, you do the rate of return on that?
- 31:01Speaker 1: There's no comparison eight five five nine zero seven four
- 31:05Speaker 1: six seven three or that Kevin show dot com.
- 31:23Speaker 8: Here he is from New York, that Kevin Kevin McCullough.
- 31:30Speaker 1: All right, friends, it's Monday, as I've been saying, and
- 31:33Speaker 1: we're glad to have you with us, where we talk
- 31:35Speaker 1: about money on Mondays and important ways that you can
- 31:40Speaker 1: develop strategies to help protect the legacy that you're trying
- 31:43Speaker 1: to build for your family. The you know, the short
- 31:46Speaker 1: term emergency reserves that you need in case something goes bad,
- 31:49Speaker 1: or how to grow it. And that's what we're all
- 31:52Speaker 1: about on the Money Monday portions of the show. David
- 31:55Speaker 1: Fisher is back with us Landmark Goold dot com doing
- 31:58Speaker 1: a great job helping people understand precious metals. And Dave,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you've been following the financial markets for probably longer than
- 32:06Speaker 1: you'd care to admit. Currently, concerns are very high for
- 32:10Speaker 1: investors because of the roller coaster environment we're in. We've
- 32:13Speaker 1: got war, we've got uncertainty, et cetera. Do you see
- 32:18Speaker 1: a pattern since we've been in this war that investors
- 32:22Speaker 1: should be paying attention to.
- 32:23Speaker 7: Well, there has been a pattern, but it might have
- 32:26Speaker 7: blown the pattern into oblivion today. But the pattern, you know,
- 32:31Speaker 7: first of all, take a look at the backdrop. President
- 32:33Speaker 7: Trump regularly talks about the stock market and how much
- 32:35Speaker 7: it's gone up, and he uses that as a barometer
- 32:38Speaker 7: to how successful and healthy of the economy is in
- 32:41Speaker 7: his administration. But since the war has broken out, you know,
- 32:44Speaker 7: stock indexes have pulled back, gold and silver has pulled
- 32:47Speaker 7: back a little bit here in the latter part of it.
- 32:51Speaker 7: And there's been a few days that President Trump has
- 32:54Speaker 7: alluded that, you know, we might come to some agreement.
- 32:57Speaker 7: So we've had to show you effect. A week ago Friday,
- 33:01Speaker 7: the Dow tumbled eight hundred points and we went into
- 33:05Speaker 7: a correction territory. Also, the S and P posted it's
- 33:09Speaker 7: fifth straight losing week. I normally don't talk about the
- 33:12Speaker 7: stock market, but that's a comparison to the economy. But
- 33:15Speaker 7: there's also a comparison to gold and silver. We'll get
- 33:17Speaker 7: into that in a second. So we're in this volatility
- 33:21Speaker 7: environment and then all of a sudden, you know, we
- 33:23Speaker 7: got the Dow searching eleven hundred points, and I'm going
- 33:26Speaker 7: to see speculate why that was. We were on the
- 33:29Speaker 7: threshold of a major downturn in the stock market, in
- 33:33Speaker 7: the economy, and that's why they said we might have
- 33:36Speaker 7: come to an agreement. Well, then that was short term,
- 33:39Speaker 7: and then the market pulled back. Well here we have.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Now we step into today. There's talks between the United
- 33:46Speaker 7: States and Iran. It's as escalated. There was a forty
- 33:51Speaker 7: eight hour window that President Trump puts out there Tuesday
- 33:54Speaker 7: at eight pm, saying you got to open up the straight.
- 33:58Speaker 7: Iran is saying we're not going to in the stock
- 34:02Speaker 7: market this time kind of shrugs it off.
- 34:04Speaker 14: You.
- 34:05Speaker 7: Normally the stock market would go down a whole bunch, Kevin,
- 34:08Speaker 7: and we would see some sort of pullback in gold
- 34:11Speaker 7: and silver. But President Trump said, you know, your proposal
- 34:15Speaker 7: that I've given you is an ultimatum, and your response
- 34:18Speaker 7: is not good enough, and so he threatens them to
- 34:21Speaker 7: rain hell on bombing every area basically. So the Pottom
- 34:26Speaker 7: line is is there's this volatility, it's hard to predict now,
- 34:29Speaker 7: and a lot of investors are going to cash on
- 34:32Speaker 7: the sidelines. The problem is investors just don't know how
- 34:36Speaker 7: this war is going to end. And that's the big
- 34:40Speaker 7: million dollar question. None of us know, and we're going
- 34:42Speaker 7: to speculate. You and I and many others in our shoes.
- 34:46Speaker 7: Jamie Diamond just came out and says, we need to
- 34:48Speaker 7: do the right thing, we need to finish this right
- 34:52Speaker 7: and so we can bring it to a closure. Well,
- 34:55Speaker 7: there's four chances, or four choices if you will, a
- 34:58Speaker 7: no deal, and just remember the three things that really
- 35:01Speaker 7: are at the forefront of the US goals are or
- 35:05Speaker 7: regime change, opening the Strait of Hermus, and getting the
- 35:08Speaker 7: enriched uranium.
- 35:10Speaker 6: Well, a new.
- 35:11Speaker 7: Deal would be getting none of that, a week deal
- 35:14Speaker 7: would be getting only one of the three, a strong
- 35:16Speaker 7: deal would be getting two of the three, and a
- 35:18Speaker 7: complete victory would be all three. On challenging seeing all
- 35:23Speaker 7: three happening. I ran once. That causes all kinds of
- 35:26Speaker 7: economic hardship, and they're causing oil to go up, which
- 35:30Speaker 7: is up significantly ninety four percent year to date. That's
- 35:36Speaker 7: the card that they're playing. We'll see how this happens.
- 35:40Speaker 7: But it's a buckaler seatbelt. There's no place to hide,
- 35:42Speaker 7: to supper cash to be safe. Right now.
- 35:45Speaker 1: You found a report recently from the nonpartisan Washington think
- 35:48Speaker 1: tank called the Committee for a Responsible Budget Federal Budget.
- 35:52Speaker 1: What did they say?
- 35:53Speaker 9: So?
- 35:54Speaker 7: They call it a glass break like the fire pull
- 35:58Speaker 7: down the fire alarm plan. There's an economic shock. You know,
- 36:02Speaker 7: the United States has never been in this position if
- 36:05Speaker 7: we enter an economic downturn. We've never been indebted this fever.
- 36:11Speaker 7: Back in two thousand and eight, the national debt was
- 36:13Speaker 7: thirty five percent of the GDP and we're one hundred
- 36:16Speaker 7: and thirty percent today. So we've been talking about this.
- 36:19Speaker 7: We get the two trillion dollar budget, and the committee says,
- 36:25Speaker 7: this is concerning because you've got to have some money
- 36:29Speaker 7: to fall back on if you go into a recession,
- 36:33Speaker 7: and we don't have that ability. Only seventeen percent of
- 36:37Speaker 7: the federal budget is a negotiating item to spend and
- 36:41Speaker 7: that's not enough, especially when we have a two point
- 36:44Speaker 7: one trillion dollar over spending. So over the past year,
- 36:48Speaker 7: the debt has grown two point seven trillion the sharpest increase,
- 36:53Speaker 7: and the one point eight trillion to two trillion budget
- 36:57Speaker 7: deficit is going to grow, and they're asking for more
- 37:01Speaker 7: monies about one point five trillion dollars for the Department
- 37:05Speaker 7: of Defense because of the war. So what I clearly
- 37:08Speaker 7: want to say is the world's not coming to end.
- 37:10Speaker 7: The dollar is not going to go to zero. I
- 37:12Speaker 7: don't want to be foolish to have anybody think that,
- 37:15Speaker 7: but we have an overspending problem that's not going to
- 37:18Speaker 7: get any better, and we can't control this. And this
- 37:22Speaker 7: is why gold and silver isn't a long term rally,
- 37:25Speaker 7: and that's why it's very important to have it short
- 37:27Speaker 7: term and long term. Gold is up eight point three
- 37:30Speaker 7: percent year to date, well, the Dow is down three
- 37:34Speaker 7: point two percent, the NASDAK is down five point nine percent,
- 37:38Speaker 7: and the S and P is down three point eight percent.
- 37:41Speaker 7: When you advertise those out, those are down twelve percent, fourteen,
- 37:46Speaker 7: fifteen percent, and twenty three percent year to annualize of
- 37:51Speaker 7: those continue, gold is up eight point three percent, Silver's
- 37:55Speaker 7: up two point two percent. So if you amortize over
- 37:59Speaker 7: the annual, you know that's thirty two percent for gold
- 38:02Speaker 7: eight and a half percent for silver. Bitcoin's not the
- 38:04Speaker 7: place to be. It's down twenty percent year today, So
- 38:07Speaker 7: diversification is the key. And HSBC's bank says, once we
- 38:12Speaker 7: get past the war, the dollarization trend will come back
- 38:15Speaker 7: with vengeance and that's the big movement for gold and silver.
- 38:19Speaker 4: So call my.
- 38:20Speaker 7: Company and learn all about the big movement in gold
- 38:22Speaker 7: and silver that's happening short term, but also a long
- 38:25Speaker 7: term move that's not ready to happen.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I'm telling you someone who's worked with Landmark in the past,
- 38:29Speaker 1: I've just I've never been more pleased with a precious
- 38:32Speaker 1: metals authority that knows how to work with you and

- 38:42Speaker 1: papers on the Golden era that has the silver lining
- 38:44Speaker 1: and also the bricks new financial system. But call him
- 38:48Speaker 1: and ask him about how to make gold and silver
- 38:50Speaker 1: your head in all of this volatility eight four four
- 38:53Speaker 1: six oh four two five seven five eight four four
- 38:55Speaker 1: six oh four two five seven five, or go to
- 38:57Speaker 1: Landmarkgold dot com.
- 39:00Speaker 2: I'm a right back.
- 39:00Speaker 1: It's that Kevin show. Let's stick around for more of that.
- 39:05Speaker 15: Kevin next serving it up. It's a no drink mint.
- 39:20Speaker 15: It's that Kevin show, all.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Right, Kevin Colla. Grateful to have you with us, and
- 39:25Speaker 1: thank you for those of you that are continuing to
- 39:28Speaker 1: help feed our children. Eight five five nine oh seven
- 39:31Speaker 1: four six seven three eight five five nine zero seven
- 39:34Speaker 1: four six seven three. To help feed a child and
- 39:38Speaker 1: give them all the clean drinking water they need for
- 39:40Speaker 1: the next year, Seventy five dollars does that for one child,
- 39:43Speaker 1: and if you do it right now, it will be matched.
- 39:45Speaker 1: So whatever you can give, be generous, please eight fivey
- 39:48Speaker 1: five nine zero seven four six seven three. All right,
- 39:52Speaker 1: We've got another big hour coming up. Hillary Kramer will
- 39:54Speaker 1: be with us, and I also need to just have
- 40:00Speaker 1: a direct chat with you about silliness in the day
- 40:06Speaker 1: in which we live. Would you, I just need to
- 40:10Speaker 1: ask this question, would you honestly leave the US to
- 40:13Speaker 1: avoid paying back alone that cost you sixty dollars a
- 40:16Speaker 1: month to pay back? Like I understand, student debt is
- 40:23Speaker 1: really bad, and I understand the pressures on people, But
- 40:27Speaker 1: the New York Times just profiled people who are skipping
- 40:31Speaker 1: out of the country to avoid sixty dollars a month
- 40:36Speaker 1: in student loan payments. New York Times says credit reporting
- 40:42Speaker 1: agencies like Experience are aware of the issue have advised
- 40:45Speaker 1: to borrowers who have moved abroad to resist the temptation
- 40:49Speaker 1: to stop making payments. Borrowers in delinquency and default will
- 40:52Speaker 1: likely see their credit scores plummet, raising their borrowing costs
- 40:55Speaker 1: and making it difficult for them to have access to credit.
- 41:02Speaker 1: There was one woman who was on an income based
- 41:04Speaker 1: repayment plan, which allows many borrowers to have their remaining
- 41:07Speaker 1: debt forgiven. After twenty years of just making qualifying pay
- 41:10Speaker 1: she was paying sixty dollars a month when she defaulted.
- 41:14Speaker 1: This amount to many may seem manageable, but for her
- 41:16Speaker 1: it remained psychologically burdensome. The payments weren't even paying off
- 41:20Speaker 1: the interest, so it was frustrating. Miss Tolley said, Look,
- 41:26Speaker 1: you can look at higher education. You can point to
- 41:28Speaker 1: all the problems that campuses have, and all the psychology
- 41:32Speaker 1: and brainwashing and all the other stuff that they're doing
- 41:35Speaker 1: on the college campuses. There's just more and more reasons
- 41:40Speaker 1: why I just I'm not that I'm not that bothered.
- 41:44Speaker 1: If my kids come back and tell me that they're
- 41:46Speaker 1: not super super worried, about getting into to get into
- 41:53Speaker 1: a major university, but come on leaving the US, because
- 42:00Speaker 1: because a sixty dollars a month college loan repayment loan
- 42:07Speaker 1: is psychologically burdensome to you. Sixty dollars a month is
- 42:14Speaker 1: not nothing, but it is not show me where you
- 42:19Speaker 1: go to barter anything, traffic tickets, whatever, and sixty dollars
- 42:25Speaker 1: a month seems unreasonable to a judge or to anybody.
- 42:31Speaker 1: You know what I think, And I'm going to be
- 42:34Speaker 1: very unpopular for having said this. I don't think it's
- 42:37Speaker 1: the fact that the sixty dollars is really the problem.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I think it's people like this that get all torn
- 42:44Speaker 1: up at knots about this kind of stuff. I think
- 42:47Speaker 1: it's because they just don't want to take a look
- 42:49Speaker 1: at their behavior with their money. I just think they
- 42:53Speaker 1: don't want to take a hard look and say, should
- 42:55Speaker 1: we spend less? Should we avoid this or that in
- 43:02Speaker 1: the course of a week. I mean, the way it
- 43:07Speaker 1: costs you to go through a drive through these days.
- 43:10Speaker 1: If I just cut out one Saturday afternoon lunch from
- 43:14Speaker 1: Chick fil A for my family for the month, just
- 43:16Speaker 1: cut out one, you could pay a sixty dollars loan
- 43:20Speaker 1: payment back. It seems to me that these people that got,
- 43:26Speaker 1: you know, lots of help from taxpayers to go through
- 43:29Speaker 1: their four years of partying at schools, and now they
- 43:34Speaker 1: don't want to pay it back, Like, did I really
- 43:37Speaker 1: want to help you in that way? Is that the
- 43:39Speaker 1: way that I thought I was helping you when I
- 43:42Speaker 1: paid for your education? Strange, my friends, Strange. All right,
- 43:48Speaker 1: we've got a second hour coming on this Monday.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Don't go anywhere.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Somewhere in the vowels of the City that Never sleeps Kevin.
- 44:08Speaker 9: McCullough, radio host with Salem Medium.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Is a man also not sleeping, and that guy would
- 44:17Speaker 3: like a word with you.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Many of you know him when as votes for Damas.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 44:23Speaker 4: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 44:24Speaker 4: be that Donald Show. But we don't have that. So
- 44:26Speaker 4: we have that Kevin.
- 44:27Speaker 3: Show featuring the music of Dick Tunny and the Dream
- 44:32Speaker 3: in Color Orchestraw straight ahead, everything you need to know
- 44:45Speaker 3: about the top headlines of the day and a perspective
- 44:49Speaker 3: that will give you some eternity to it. Plus practical
- 44:53Speaker 3: tips for family life, spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It's kind of the Hello Monday through Friday.
- 45:02Speaker 7: On That Heaven Show.
- 45:10Speaker 5: And Now from Vaccaters in Sullivan Broadcast Studios. A man
- 45:14Speaker 5: who is not what he wants to be.
- 45:16Speaker 2: But is way grateful that is not who he used
- 45:20Speaker 2: to be.
- 45:20Speaker 7: Here here.
- 45:26Speaker 2: All right, welcome back, Kevin mccaullaugh.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Glad to have you with us. It's that Kevin Show,
- 45:30Speaker 1: that kevinshow dot com for all things related to the show.
- 45:33Speaker 1: We never put anything behind a paywall because we want
- 45:37Speaker 1: it to be easy and free for you to activate
- 45:40Speaker 1: what you hear and how you can take action on
- 45:42Speaker 1: it and so forth. So thank you. I've got something
- 45:46Speaker 1: that's just put a bur in my bonnet? Is that
- 45:50Speaker 1: the expression? I don't know, Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
- 45:53Speaker 1: It's bothering me. That's what I'm trying to say. Something's
- 45:55Speaker 1: bothering me. And here's a part of why I'm bothered.
- 46:00Speaker 1: This is Michael Chay from Saturday Night Live Region.
- 46:03Speaker 16: Orbit Artemis two astronaut Victor Glover sent the message back
- 46:08Speaker 16: to Earth saying, trust us, you look amazing, you look beautiful. Yeah,
- 46:12Speaker 16: leave it to the black astronauts a cat call the
- 46:15Speaker 16: entire planet.
- 46:18Speaker 1: All right, I don't think that Michael Shay is in
- 46:21Speaker 1: any stretch of the imagination, someone who shares my worldview,
- 46:26Speaker 1: faith system, et cetera, et cetera. But you know, everything
- 46:31Speaker 1: gets pilloried on satire shows. We do that, by the way,
- 46:36Speaker 1: on the weekend at that Kevin show, we take actual
- 46:40Speaker 1: things that happened, we poke fun at them, and we
- 46:43Speaker 1: try to draw the attention to the bigger point. So
- 46:48Speaker 1: in Michael Chay's little seventeen second fake news headline there
- 46:53Speaker 1: about the Artemis two astronaut from this weekend, deducing what
- 47:00Speaker 1: he said down to essentially cat calling the entire world. So,
- 47:05Speaker 1: and there's a lot of problems with that one. Michael
- 47:07Speaker 1: Jay is a black man who is known for being
- 47:10Speaker 1: rather licentious. I think he jokes about it. He makes
- 47:15Speaker 1: jokes at his own expense about his licentiousness, and he's
- 47:21Speaker 1: playing into the stereotype, the trope of black men being
- 47:25Speaker 1: more licentious than other men. And then he's implying, impugning
- 47:32Speaker 1: the character of mister Glover the astronaut as being part
- 47:37Speaker 1: of the I don't know, shall we call it the
- 47:41Speaker 1: licentiousness equation? Take a listen once more.
- 47:44Speaker 16: After reaching orbit Artemis two astronaut Victor Glover sent the
- 47:48Speaker 16: message back to Earth, saying, trust us, you look amazing,
- 47:51Speaker 16: you look beautiful. Yeah, leave it to the black astronauts
- 47:55Speaker 16: a cat call the entire planet.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Okay, some people think, oh, that's pretty funny. He's he's basically,
- 48:03Speaker 1: but if you know it for what it is, he's
- 48:05Speaker 1: saying that black men are imral and this shouldn't bother
- 48:10Speaker 1: me as much as it does. But I have a
- 48:12Speaker 1: biracial family. I have children that are biological that are white,
- 48:14Speaker 1: and I have an adopted son who's black, blacker than
- 48:17Speaker 1: Michael Shay Michael Jay, and I don't want him thinking
- 48:20Speaker 1: that simply because he is black skinned, that he in
- 48:25Speaker 1: some reason can't be the person that God calls him
- 48:29Speaker 1: to be. So I would never want my son to
- 48:32Speaker 1: emulate Michael Jay in just about any type of idea. None,
- 48:37Speaker 1: I don't. There's there's nothing about Michael Jay that I'm oh,
- 48:40Speaker 1: please let my son grow up and be like Michael Jay. Nope,
- 48:43Speaker 1: but you know who, I would love my son to
- 48:45Speaker 1: grow up and sound more like that astronaut on Artemis
- 48:49Speaker 1: too that he was mocking. Take a listen to what
- 48:50Speaker 1: he said this weekend.
- 48:52Speaker 17: I think these observances are important, and as we are
- 48:55Speaker 17: so far from Earth and looking back at you know,
- 48:58Speaker 17: the beauty of creation. I think for me, one of
- 49:01Speaker 17: the really important personal perspectives that I have up here
- 49:05Speaker 17: is I can really see Earth as one thing. And
- 49:08Speaker 17: you know, when I read the Bible and I look
- 49:09Speaker 17: at all of the amazing things that were done for
- 49:12Speaker 17: us who were created, it's you have this amazing place,
- 49:17Speaker 17: this spaceship. You guys are talking to us because we're
- 49:19Speaker 17: in a spaceship really far from Earth, but you're on
- 49:22Speaker 17: a spaceship called Earth that was created to give us
- 49:25Speaker 17: a place to live in the universe and the cosmos.
- 49:27Speaker 17: Think maybe the distance we are from you makes you
- 49:31Speaker 17: think what we're doing is special. But we're the same
- 49:33Speaker 17: distance from you, and I'm trying to tell you, just
- 49:35Speaker 17: trust me, you are special.
- 49:37Speaker 6: In all of this emptiness.
- 49:39Speaker 17: This is a whole bunch of nothing, this thing we
- 49:41Speaker 17: call the universe, you have this oasis, this beautiful place
- 49:44Speaker 17: that we get to exist together.
- 49:47Speaker 6: I think these observes and I.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Think that that is one of the best things I've
- 49:52Speaker 1: ever heard. One of our astronauts say, he gets outside
- 49:58Speaker 1: of the Earth's atmosphere, he gets far enough away from
- 50:00Speaker 1: it on his mission to the Moon, whipping around the
- 50:03Speaker 1: Moon coming back, and he has that big reveal moment.
- 50:06Speaker 1: It's kind of like a movie. You can almost see
- 50:07Speaker 1: it in your head, where he looks out the window
- 50:11Speaker 1: and there's an amazing picture of Earth. Not all the
- 50:17Speaker 1: different countries and all the people fighting in the wars
- 50:19Speaker 1: and all the conflicts and all the stuff. There's just
- 50:22Speaker 1: Earth as God created it. And because he reads his Bible,
- 50:27Speaker 1: he puts two and two together and says wow, wow,
- 50:32Speaker 1: and and and he he wasn't even saying to Earth
- 50:37Speaker 1: that you're beautiful, like Michael Jay, you know if he
- 50:41Speaker 1: if someone can punch down from being on the bottom,
- 50:44Speaker 1: Michael Shay can do it. But it's just not necessary
- 50:49Speaker 1: because what astronaut Glover said is true. This world is
- 50:52Speaker 1: an amazing place, hanging suspended in space, rotating itself around
- 51:01Speaker 1: the Sun every three hundred and sixty five days, doing
- 51:05Speaker 1: so while creating a perfect ecosystem for mankind to exist
- 51:11Speaker 1: on it. And I don't know, have you seen the
- 51:17Speaker 1: pictures on social media that the Artemis has been taking
- 51:20Speaker 1: of the different planet All the planets have a certain
- 51:22Speaker 1: degree of beauty about them, but none of them look
- 51:24Speaker 1: as beautiful as Earth. God really is amazing. He's so
- 51:29Speaker 1: amazing that, even though we have sinned and separated ourselves
- 51:32Speaker 1: from him, he sent his son to this earth on
- 51:39Speaker 1: a mission, and he took on himself the full weight
- 51:42Speaker 1: of our sin, and he allowed himself to be crucified
- 51:46Speaker 1: on a cross for us, and within days he himself
- 51:53Speaker 1: proving his godhood to all who would see under his
- 52:00Speaker 1: own power as being fully God. He walked out of
- 52:06Speaker 1: the tomb, defeating death, and in that death he had
- 52:14Speaker 1: taken on our sin. So he defeated sin, and he
- 52:20Speaker 1: brought with him back into this world that promise of life,
- 52:26Speaker 1: simply because he is the God of the universe, a
- 52:31Speaker 1: universe that astronaut Glover got to see, which is why
- 52:37Speaker 1: he was a little emotional in trying to tell people
- 52:39Speaker 1: what he had seen. He didn't want them to miss
- 52:42Speaker 1: the big point. God's creation is amazing, and that, Michael Jay,
- 52:52Speaker 1: is what Astronaut Glover was trying to say. He wasn't
- 52:55Speaker 1: cat calling anyone. I know it's hard for you, hard
- 53:00Speaker 1: for you to commit, but friends, that's truly the good news.
- 53:03Speaker 1: The good news is that we have a God who
- 53:05Speaker 1: did that and I love that so much, and I
- 53:09Speaker 1: loved hearing that. I love seeing it coming from an
- 53:12Speaker 1: African American man who has a strong faith in God
- 53:15Speaker 1: and can be a good example for what a Christian
- 53:18Speaker 1: man looks like in today's day and age. And I
- 53:20Speaker 1: hope and I pray that Astronaut Lover has much more success,
- 53:27Speaker 1: not just in his space career, but telling the good
- 53:30Speaker 1: news to anyone who listened, that God's creation is amazing,
- 53:33Speaker 1: That God is amazing, That the God we celebrated yesterday,
- 53:37Speaker 1: who walked out of the grave is still.
- 53:39Speaker 2: In the business of being the most powerful force in
- 53:43Speaker 2: the universe, and he begs us to follow him.
- 53:46Speaker 1: There's nothing that delights him more than for one of
- 53:49Speaker 1: his children to follow him. All right, Calvin McCollough, we
- 53:52Speaker 1: got a big hour. Don't go on it.
- 54:10Speaker 12: Here.
- 54:10Speaker 8: He is from New York.
- 54:12Speaker 6: That Kevin.
- 54:15Speaker 8: Kevin McCullough.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Welcome back, Kevin McCollough.
- 54:26Speaker 1: It is that Kevin Show Everything online at that kevinshow
- 54:29Speaker 1: dot com, never behind a paywall, always wants you to
- 54:32Speaker 1: have it for free. And we also want you to
- 54:34Speaker 1: help us with something very very important.
- 54:38Speaker 18: We walked into this wretched little shack inside we saw
- 54:43Speaker 18: mother totally with her face showed every line of suffering
- 54:48Speaker 18: possible of a mother who feels frustrated because she.
- 54:50Speaker 4: Can't feed her children.
- 54:53Speaker 19: She had two children in the shack with her. There
- 54:55Speaker 19: was a four year old who was actually eating a
- 54:58Speaker 19: handful of rice, and this seven year old who was
- 55:01Speaker 19: standing there looking very woefully at his little brother who
- 55:04Speaker 19: was eating.
- 55:05Speaker 18: And we said to the seven year old, how come
- 55:08Speaker 18: you're not eating also, and he said to us today it's.
- 55:13Speaker 4: Not my turn to eat.
- 55:16Speaker 19: Can you imagine the pain and a mother to have
- 55:20Speaker 19: to tell one of her children today it's not your
- 55:24Speaker 19: turn to eat perhaps tomorrow. To have that complete food
- 55:30Speaker 19: and security where you cannot plan even one day in
- 55:35Speaker 19: advance for a meal for your children.
- 55:38Speaker 1: That is what we are talking about when it comes
- 55:41Speaker 1: to the effort that we are doing with Food for
- 55:43Speaker 1: the Poor to try to feed those who are hungry.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three
- 55:49Speaker 1: eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three
- 55:52Speaker 1: or go online to that kevinshow dot com. Paul Jacobs
- 55:56Speaker 1: is back with us, and Paul, it is very important
- 55:59Speaker 1: for people to understand that as we are moving into
- 56:01Speaker 1: the spring and summertime of the year this food scarcity.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Everybody thinks that, you know, countries in Latin America and
- 56:09Speaker 1: the Caribbean are going to be all fun party places
- 56:12Speaker 1: because the sun's out. This is actually the time where
- 56:15Speaker 1: it gets really serious for kids because of the heat,
- 56:18Speaker 1: because of the lack of clean drinking water, because of
- 56:20Speaker 1: the enormous challenges that they face.
- 56:24Speaker 13: Where I'm from here in South Florida, you hear of
- 56:26Speaker 13: these school systems and counties and you know they basically
- 56:30Speaker 13: have these safety nets and programs that are making sure
- 56:33Speaker 13: that the underserved children in communities are able to eat
- 56:37Speaker 13: during breaks where they're not getting a meal during school
- 56:40Speaker 13: and summer is one big issue where children who are
- 56:43Speaker 13: underserved are not getting food on a regular basis, and
- 56:46Speaker 13: they have to open the doors up for these children
- 56:49Speaker 13: to be fed. Whether it's civic organizations, whether it's the
- 56:51Speaker 13: school system. In places like Haiti and Guatemala and Honduras,
- 56:56Speaker 13: it doesn't exist in Kadwa Haiti, places like that, it
- 56:58Speaker 13: doesn't exist. And this is why you're needed right now.
- 57:02Speaker 13: There are families that we've met, Kevin, You've been there
- 57:05Speaker 13: with us on the ground in Kadwa Haiti where we
- 57:07Speaker 13: happen upon the home of Feta, a mother three children,
- 57:11Speaker 13: and to see her small three year old daughter Kenya,
- 57:15Speaker 13: sitting just quietly with a metal bowl between her and
- 57:18Speaker 13: her one year old brother and a few grains of
- 57:21Speaker 13: rice one spoon where they share that few grains of rice,
- 57:25Speaker 13: and then she hands it to her little brother and
- 57:26Speaker 13: he eats and that's it. And then the older children
- 57:29Speaker 13: they stick back and they watch this because there's not
- 57:32Speaker 13: enough for all of the children. Imagine you're put in
- 57:35Speaker 13: this position of moms just like this, and you're having
- 57:38Speaker 13: to choose which child is going to eat. And it's
- 57:41Speaker 13: not for a meal, it's not for a day, it's
- 57:43Speaker 13: for months on end. And why your gift is needed
- 57:46Speaker 13: right now because you can help provide food for an
- 57:49Speaker 13: entire year, two meals a day for children just like this.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three
- 57:56Speaker 1: eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three,
- 57:59Speaker 1: or go online to that kevinshow dot com. It's so important, friends,
- 58:04Speaker 1: That's why I've been giving you this phone number eight
- 58:05Speaker 1: foy five nine zero seven four six seven three eight
- 58:08Speaker 1: five five nine zero seven four six seven three. We
- 58:12Speaker 1: know of at least two hundred and forty three additional
- 58:15Speaker 1: children that have not been fed, have not been spoken
- 58:19Speaker 1: for to be being fed this coming year, And immediately
- 58:22Speaker 1: when you give your gift of seventy five dollars, one
- 58:26Speaker 1: of those children will immediately be added to the daily
- 58:29Speaker 1: food program. And additionally, and I think maybe more important
- 58:34Speaker 1: than the food, is the clean drinking water for the
- 58:38Speaker 1: foreseeable future. We used to say clean drinking water for life. Well,
- 58:42Speaker 1: the water systems sometimes break down and so forth, but
- 58:44Speaker 1: these things are built to last ten twenty years without
- 58:48Speaker 1: any flaw in that operation. And it's just an incredible
- 58:51Speaker 1: gift to be able to give to children who are
- 58:54Speaker 1: going to be, particularly this summer, in situations where they're
- 58:59Speaker 1: not going to have enough clean drinking water to be
- 59:02Speaker 1: able to hydrate themselves properly, and that comes with a
- 59:05Speaker 1: whole host of other maladies. Paul Jacob's Food for the
- 59:08Speaker 1: Poor has been doing this for a number of years
- 59:10Speaker 1: and in places where the clean drinking water and the
- 59:13Speaker 1: food program does get into the child's life eight five
- 59:17Speaker 1: five nine zero seven four six seven three eight five
- 59:20Speaker 1: five nine zero seven four six seven three or go
- 59:23Speaker 1: online to that kevinshow dot com take us into a
- 59:26Speaker 1: before after picture is what is the child like before
- 59:29Speaker 1: a year later, when everything is firing on all cylinders,
- 59:33Speaker 1: what is that child like?
- 59:34Speaker 13: Chauvelin is a little girl that we met when we
- 59:36Speaker 13: traveled to Haiti. One of the things that was so
- 59:38Speaker 13: striking about her was how absolutely undernourished she looked as
- 59:42Speaker 13: a as a twelve year old girl, and she and
- 59:45Speaker 13: her other her friends went to this local water source
- 59:49Speaker 13: where she would siphon out water from this puddle, this
- 59:54Speaker 13: this little canal. On one side there was a gentleman
- 59:57Speaker 13: in that particular day washing his motorcycle, cleaning it like
- 1:00:00Speaker 13: a car wash. And on the other side where farm
- 1:00:04Speaker 13: animals doing their business. And in between is this twelve
- 1:00:06Speaker 13: year old girl, undernourished, looking to siphon this green, muddy
- 1:00:10Speaker 13: water and take it all the way home, about a
- 1:00:13Speaker 13: quarter of a mile back to her house, with this
- 1:00:15Speaker 13: water on her head, on her shoulder, the weight of
- 1:00:17Speaker 13: her family resting on her body. And when we went there,
- 1:00:21Speaker 13: you saw the reality the rest of the story as
- 1:00:25Speaker 13: we always hear, and that is there was no food.
- 1:00:28Speaker 13: That her mother was without work because there was no
- 1:00:30Speaker 13: work for her. It wasn't that she was a bad
- 1:00:33Speaker 13: mother that she didn't feed her children. It was the
- 1:00:35Speaker 13: fact that she didn't have anything to give these children
- 1:00:38Speaker 13: because she had no work. Because even if she did work,
- 1:00:41Speaker 13: it was a dollar or two a day at best,
- 1:00:43Speaker 13: it wouldn't be able to keep a roof over their head.
- 1:00:45Speaker 13: Maybe put these children in school which didn't exist for Chauvelin,
- 1:00:49Speaker 13: and give them food. And so we were really striking
- 1:00:52Speaker 13: to say that this is one child, this is one
- 1:00:54Speaker 13: community where we are going to help these children in
- 1:00:57Speaker 13: La fosse Hating. Only a year later, when we were
- 1:01:01Speaker 13: back with a number of broadcasters, we went in and
- 1:01:04Speaker 13: we took them to several communities and they said, let's
- 1:01:07Speaker 13: take a special trip. And I told everybody on the bus,
- 1:01:09Speaker 13: I want to take you someplace special because we knew
- 1:01:12Speaker 13: that there was some progress made. We knew homes were built,
- 1:01:14Speaker 13: we knew food programs were delivered, and we went into
- 1:01:18Speaker 13: the community. We parked the bus next to the water
- 1:01:20Speaker 13: purification unit, this big water tank that brought this water
- 1:01:24Speaker 13: in ten thousand gallons a day of safe portable water
- 1:01:28Speaker 13: to drink. And of course there was a feeding program
- 1:01:30Speaker 13: there and there are families that were thriving where it
- 1:01:32Speaker 13: was silence, it was just elation and then a girl
- 1:01:36Speaker 13: walked up, early teenage girl, and I asked the pastor
- 1:01:41Speaker 13: who was with us? I said, who are these children?
- 1:01:43Speaker 13: He says, don't you recognize Chauflin. My mind was blown.
- 1:01:49Speaker 13: I was shocked. This girl faithful, her smile was beaming,
- 1:01:54Speaker 13: and she brought us to her home. She shared with
- 1:01:56Speaker 13: us how the life has changed for her in just
- 1:01:59Speaker 13: one year. And so I'm asking you right now you
- 1:02:01Speaker 13: may not meet many of these children or these families
- 1:02:04Speaker 13: from this side of heaven, but please know that when
- 1:02:07Speaker 13: you give your gift, whether it's one hundred and fifty
- 1:02:10Speaker 13: dollars for two children or a fifteen hundred dollars for
- 1:02:13Speaker 13: us classroom of children twenty children, the bottom line is,
- 1:02:16Speaker 13: in just a matter of months, food for the poor
- 1:02:19Speaker 13: and the pastures on the ground will be able to
- 1:02:21Speaker 13: make a difference with your generous gift.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Eight five five nine oh seven four six seven three
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: And when you give right now online and for the
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: next ten minutes, every gift that does come in will
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: be matched child for child, meal for meal, plate for plate,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: cup of water for cup of water. We need your
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: help and we want to maximize the good we can
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: do at this very moment by acting on it right now.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: eighty five five nine zero seven four six seven three.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Thank you to those of you have already helped with
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: feeding and bringing clean drinking water to several hundred children.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I'm grateful for the sacrifice that every one of you
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: has made. We do know that there are two hundred
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and forty three additional kids that we can help right
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: now and that need our help right now. So I
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: need you to act right now. Eight five five nine

- 1:04:47Speaker 12: Page.
- 1:04:49Speaker 20: Let's stick around for more of that Kevin next.
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: Here he is from New York, That Kevin McCullough.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Well, the back Times Square, it's that Kevin Show, that
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: kevinshow dot com. Glad to have you with us. Everything
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: is there, nothing's behind a paywall. We want you to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: have access to all the information, all the good guests
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: and interviews and columns and TV shows and everything else.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: We want you to take advantage of it. That's why
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: we offer it for free. Speaking of real meaning of things,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: what does equal pay actually mean? Same pay for same work.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Maybe the same experience should be required. Maybe longer people
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: with more experience get paid more. Maybe those who don't
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: do it as long get paid less. But what if
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: your expertise is hire. These are all things that are
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: generated around this discussion of the pay gap. And today,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: well this week equal payday was observed and here to
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: discuss is patrisa on Wulka, vice president of Economic Policy
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: at the Independent Women's Forum. We love those gals, Patrice's
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: good to see you. The pay gap it's a myth.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: There's no pay gap, right, Yeah.
- 1:06:20Speaker 21: It's a myth. And actually at town hall today I
- 1:06:22Speaker 21: have an ap ed saying the equal pay day hoax
- 1:06:26Speaker 21: is finally dead because people have come to realize that
- 1:06:30Speaker 21: this idea that there is rampant gender or sex based discrimination,
- 1:06:34Speaker 21: as evidence by the difference between men and women's earnings
- 1:06:39Speaker 21: on average or you know, overall. It's false, it's misleading,
- 1:06:43Speaker 21: and it's disingenuous. But it's really just a way for
- 1:06:47Speaker 21: feminists and leftists to exploit people's emotions, particularly women's emotions,
- 1:06:53Speaker 21: to drive forward policies that will not help them.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: And so well, I think that they got away with
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: it for a long time because people didn't know the facts.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: But when you have people like AOC and elan Omar
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: being like, you're now you know, symbols for the movement,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I think just a lot of people get very irritated
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: because there's just a lot of things that AOC never,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: never has encountered, never will have to deal with that
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: a lot of other women have. She's not a mom,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: she's not gone through the tough choice of giving up
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: a career even for nine months, to go through pregnancy
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: and give birth. And it all delves into it all
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: kind of springs from rather this idea that we're supposed
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: to think that men and women are not different in
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: any way, that we weren't made for distinct purposes, or
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: that there's any you know, anything special about being a
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: man or woman. And in reality, they've tried to apply
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: this argument to the workplace in such a way that
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: is really dishonest. And if a guy is at the job,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I'm just talking about your entry level, you know, widget
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: making factory job and you're on the line for twenty
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: five years and you for the most part, never miss
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: a day, and you're there someone who comes in for
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: five and then takes time off and comes back for
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: another three or four. Your pay level shouldn't be the same,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: not if you're doing the same work for the same
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you know company and doing it to the same quality
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: of each other.
- 1:08:25Speaker 21: Well, that gets into the different factors that explain the
- 1:08:29Speaker 21: earnings between men and women. When you just do a
- 1:08:32Speaker 21: raw date, look at the raw data, you see that
- 1:08:34Speaker 21: there's a nineteen cent gap, and that's really, you know,
- 1:08:37Speaker 21: not changed over decades. Because there are other factors that
- 1:08:41Speaker 21: go into men and women's pay. And you hit on
- 1:08:44Speaker 21: the one, hit on the biggest one, which is ours.
- 1:08:47Speaker 21: Women tend to work fewer full time jobs, they're less like,
- 1:08:51Speaker 21: they're more likely to work hard time.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: You are full time jobs outside the house, young lady.
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: Outside of the house.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Yeah, because everything you do in the house that is
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: a full time job.
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: It is a full time job.
- 1:09:01Speaker 21: Twenty four to seven. But outside of the home, they're
- 1:09:04Speaker 21: not working full time jobs. They tend to work part
- 1:09:07Speaker 21: time jobs. When you look at where women are concentrated
- 1:09:10Speaker 21: in the industries and occupations, you see that women are
- 1:09:14Speaker 21: drawn to occupations that are around education, helping, leisure, and entertainment.
- 1:09:20Speaker 21: You know, I mentioned education, and even in health services,
- 1:09:24Speaker 21: women tend to be clustered in kind of the support
- 1:09:27Speaker 21: roles and the administrative roles, not necessarily the higher paying roles.
- 1:09:31Speaker 21: That's we shouldn't assign value to that. What we should
- 1:09:34Speaker 21: allow is for women to assign the value. And if
- 1:09:37Speaker 21: you are a woman who wants to help your community
- 1:09:39Speaker 21: and you are love caregiving, that may be an industry
- 1:09:42Speaker 21: that you should absolutely go into, but you recognize that
- 1:09:45Speaker 21: the pay is not going to be the same as
- 1:09:47Speaker 21: someone who goes into a woman who goes into engineering,
- 1:09:50Speaker 21: or a man who goes into you know, deep water wells, exploration. Dangerousness, Kevin,
- 1:09:58Speaker 21: do you know that over ninety percent of workplace fatalities
- 1:10:02Speaker 21: are born by men. Very few women die in workplace
- 1:10:07Speaker 21: fatalities because they're not working the most dangerous jobs. But
- 1:10:10Speaker 21: those jobs also carry the highest or higher pay than
- 1:10:14Speaker 21: other jobs. And so when you factor all these things together,
- 1:10:17Speaker 21: the pay gap pretty much evaporates, It disappears into thin
- 1:10:21Speaker 21: air pretty much.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: So what should the approach be to employment? Are there
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: still things that we need to strengthen, Are there ways
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: that women are being discriminated against? And what are the
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: best things we can do to just kind of assert
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: that America is still the fairest place to work. Get
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: a job, keep a job, get paid for your job
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: than anyplace else on the planet.
- 1:10:46Speaker 21: Labor unions do not like the idea of independent work.
- 1:10:49Speaker 21: They want gig workers, they want freelancers, They want people
- 1:10:53Speaker 21: who are self employed all to be forced to be
- 1:10:56Speaker 21: hired by someone as a traditional employee, because then and
- 1:11:00Speaker 21: izable as an independent contractor, as a freelancer, as a
- 1:11:03Speaker 21: gig worker, you cannot be unionized.
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: And so there's more of.
- 1:11:06Speaker 21: A political play, which is why you don't see women
- 1:11:08Speaker 21: on the left coming.
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: Out in support.
- 1:11:10Speaker 21: We see a lot of Republican women absolutely supporting workplace flexibility,
- 1:11:16Speaker 21: supporting gigwork, and some of the Modern Worker Empowerment Act,
- 1:11:21Speaker 21: which would actually codify a very good standard to protect
- 1:11:24Speaker 21: independent contracting. So there's work to be done, there's work
- 1:11:28Speaker 21: getting done, and at independent women. Kevin, we are giving
- 1:11:31Speaker 21: women the space to say, hey, I want this type
- 1:11:33Speaker 21: of policy implemented.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Excellent.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: The Tresa will always appreciate it. Thank you so much,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Thanks for having me. Kevin mckella coming back from Times.
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: Square done here he is from New York.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: That Kevin.
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: Kevin McCullough.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: All right, friends, welcome back. It's Monday.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: So we talk about money on the broadcast and hopefully
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: help you protect what you've earned and maybe even help
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: grow it for those that you care about. Hillary Kramer
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: is our stock expert. She tells us about the hot
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: tips each week and what she's watching happen and Hillary.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Today is another one of those back and forth days.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: You know, you wake up and the market's in one
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: place and the president says something, and then it goes
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: somewhere else, and then something happens and something gets bombed,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: and somebody else says something else and all of a sudden,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: boom boom boom. But this is kind of the road
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: that we're going to have for the next little while,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: isn't it kind of up and down?
- 1:12:53Speaker 14: Yes, and everyone we need to be very mindful, you know,
- 1:12:58Speaker 14: those it tick out stocks for people's versus ETFs. We'll
- 1:13:00Speaker 14: always tell you the stock pickers market because they have
- 1:13:03Speaker 14: a vested interest in telling you that, but I have
- 1:13:06Speaker 14: to say it really is a stock pickers marget at
- 1:13:08Speaker 14: this point, you have to be very mindful. If you
- 1:13:12Speaker 14: just play the market, yeah, you might do well because
- 1:13:15Speaker 14: over the long term the market goes up, but you're
- 1:13:17Speaker 14: better off picking your points and that there you're.
- 1:13:20Speaker 22: Going to do well. Let me give you an example
- 1:13:22Speaker 22: of Boeing.
- 1:13:23Speaker 14: The stock of Boeing is down year to date over
- 1:13:27Speaker 14: four percent. Now, last week it had a good week,
- 1:13:30Speaker 14: it was up over nine percent. But Boeing, as we
- 1:13:34Speaker 14: see this this war now which took last weeks to months,
- 1:13:38Speaker 14: we could see Boeing become a really great opportunity, excellent company,
- 1:13:44Speaker 14: and the market obviously, unfortunately the way it's been coded
- 1:13:48Speaker 14: because AI is brilliant, but it's not that brilliant. They
- 1:13:51Speaker 14: obviously didn't realize that to a great extent.
- 1:13:54Speaker 22: Boeing is a defense company.
- 1:13:56Speaker 14: It's not just a company that's about selling commercial to
- 1:14:00Speaker 14: so BA is a company you want to Oh, you know,
- 1:14:03Speaker 14: it's going to bounce back. It's going to bounce back
- 1:14:05Speaker 14: in a huge way. So take a look there. Another
- 1:14:10Speaker 14: stock that I think is very interesting.
- 1:14:12Speaker 22: Automatic data Processing year to date.
- 1:14:15Speaker 14: It down over is like paychecks. It's the big national,
- 1:14:21Speaker 14: number one player in doing payroll for big, big conglomber
- 1:14:29Speaker 14: fortune one hundred companies.
- 1:14:30Speaker 22: So why has this stock gone down?
- 1:14:32Speaker 14: Because we have this expectation with AI that we are
- 1:14:35Speaker 14: going to see some serious, serious layoffs, which.
- 1:14:38Speaker 22: I believe will happen.
- 1:14:40Speaker 14: But that doesn't mean that ADP deserves to be down
- 1:14:43Speaker 14: over twenty percent in three months. ADP still takes takes
- 1:14:48Speaker 14: the lead and has so many valuable revenue producing alternatives
- 1:14:55Speaker 14: than just processing payroll.
- 1:14:57Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:14:57Speaker 14: They help with preparation of taxes. They help with preparation
- 1:15:01Speaker 14: of special programs that companies need if there's any kind
- 1:15:04Speaker 14: of tax relief, you know, whatever it might be. So
- 1:15:08Speaker 14: ADP is another one basically continuing with my message of
- 1:15:12Speaker 14: last week, which is catch the falling knife, but don't
- 1:15:16Speaker 14: catch the knife that will cut you. Catch the knife
- 1:15:19Speaker 14: that is going to be a very dull edge because
- 1:15:22Speaker 14: it shouldn't have been falling the way that it has. Okay,
- 1:15:26Speaker 14: so there we go with two very interesting companies right there. Now,
- 1:15:31Speaker 14: let's also talk about year to date some other companies
- 1:15:35Speaker 14: that you might want to be looking at.
- 1:15:38Speaker 22: I think that we're going to see.
- 1:15:40Speaker 14: Corning, which is up almost seventy percent year to date,
- 1:15:44Speaker 14: continue to rise. I talked about Corning probably you could
- 1:15:48Speaker 14: have in your notes three months.
- 1:15:49Speaker 22: Ago, and how important.
- 1:15:51Speaker 14: It is because they do the glass that's on the
- 1:15:53Speaker 14: handheld directory.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: You've been talking about Corning for about four years since
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: we've been talking.
- 1:15:58Speaker 14: Okay, well, finally it off because you're up seventy percent
- 1:16:02Speaker 14: in three months.
- 1:16:03Speaker 22: So think Corning will continue to be important.
- 1:16:06Speaker 14: And they do the glass and all the defense industry,
- 1:16:09Speaker 14: all of the screens after They're going to continue.
- 1:16:12Speaker 22: Being very, very important.
- 1:16:14Speaker 14: Another one I like still Shopify fahop.
- 1:16:18Speaker 22: I've talked about Shopify.
- 1:16:19Speaker 14: May a lot of you a lot of money and Shopify,
- 1:16:21Speaker 14: but the stock is down twenty five percent in the
- 1:16:24Speaker 14: first quarter which just ended January, February and March. Shopify
- 1:16:28Speaker 14: is kind of your mini Amazon. It helps companies get
- 1:16:32Speaker 14: out there and takes care of all of the back end.
- 1:16:35Speaker 14: And just because we're at war.
- 1:16:37Speaker 22: It doesn't mean that business is going to stop. Just
- 1:16:40Speaker 22: keep that, just keep that in the back of your mind.
- 1:16:42Speaker 14: Now that being said, I want to step back for
- 1:16:45Speaker 14: a minute and talk about what's going on with these
- 1:16:47Speaker 14: companies like Salesforce, and there's Salesforce their service.
- 1:16:54Speaker 22: Now all of.
- 1:16:55Speaker 14: These companies that provide software that helps with companies to
- 1:17:00Speaker 14: do their business, whether it be marketing, operations, inventory management,
- 1:17:05Speaker 14: fulfillment HR. You have these software companies that specialize and
- 1:17:10Speaker 14: everything from law to hospitals, and they have really been struggling.
- 1:17:14Speaker 22: And I want everybody to take.
- 1:17:16Speaker 14: A break and wait because at some points they'll go
- 1:17:19Speaker 14: down enough and they'll.
- 1:17:20Speaker 22: Figure out a way to adjust to the world of AI.
- 1:17:23Speaker 22: And I want all of.
- 1:17:24Speaker 14: Our listeners out there to understand that what has happened
- 1:17:28Speaker 14: is that AI can do, Artificial intelligence can do so
- 1:17:31Speaker 14: much that's leapfrogged over many of these many of these
- 1:17:37Speaker 14: software programs, these these coded opportunities that helped companies manage
- 1:17:45Speaker 14: let's say they're they're Salesforce or manage Okay, so just
- 1:17:50Speaker 14: wait and see. This is going to work itself out.
- 1:17:53Speaker 14: There is going to be a way that these companies
- 1:17:55Speaker 14: will work in unison with AI, or it could even
- 1:17:59Speaker 14: be a you know, a fired by the AI companies.
- 1:18:02Speaker 14: So so hold, you know, hold steady weight, and this
- 1:18:06Speaker 14: can certainly come back around. I also want to talk
- 1:18:09Speaker 14: about Nvidia. I think Nvidia is a buy here. Un
- 1:18:12Speaker 14: to date that sock is down five percent. We all
- 1:18:15Speaker 14: know all the wonderful opportunities in Vidia has given us
- 1:18:19Speaker 14: and the wealth creation of Nvidia, the four point five
- 1:18:22Speaker 14: trillion dollar company, but I've looked into its thoughts, looked
- 1:18:25Speaker 14: into it because we wanted to understand.
- 1:18:27Speaker 22: Is this something that we should continue holding? Has it
- 1:18:30Speaker 22: had its day.
- 1:18:31Speaker 14: And we have just made you know, like one hundred
- 1:18:33Speaker 14: times on our money for everyone?
- 1:18:35Speaker 22: And the answer is, Nvidia is.
- 1:18:37Speaker 14: Still the company that makes the that makes the brains,
- 1:18:41Speaker 14: that makes the chips that go into the AI generated
- 1:18:47Speaker 14: UH software and UH and hardware. And you want to have,
- 1:18:52Speaker 14: you want to you want to own Nvidia, en v D,
- 1:18:54Speaker 14: I A.
- 1:18:55Speaker 22: It just took a break, It just took a breather.
- 1:18:57Speaker 22: And uh, I know, it's four point five trillion, and
- 1:19:00Speaker 22: it's hard for a.
- 1:19:00Speaker 14: Company go from four point five trillion to like eight trillion,
- 1:19:03Speaker 14: But it could go to a five point five.
- 1:19:05Speaker 22: Trillion and you're still going to make a lot of money.
- 1:19:08Speaker 14: So if you're looking for a company that's relevant, that
- 1:19:11Speaker 14: isn't going to be sidelined by AI and AI's dominance,
- 1:19:15Speaker 14: it's in video because AI's dominance can only happen with
- 1:19:19Speaker 14: n video.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Yeah all right, so Boeing, ADP, Corning, Shopify all on
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: her recommended list today. Friends, also go to Hillary Kramer
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: dot com and check out her Trading Desk newsletter. You
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: can sign up for it. It's free. It's on the
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: homepage there. Just click the link and sign up for it. Hillary,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: appreciate all that you're doing. Thank you so much.
- 1:19:44Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: Kevin, you got it a good list.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: Calvin mccallaugh coming right back, stay.
- 1:19:48Speaker 20: Here, let's stick around for more of that, Kevin next.
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: Serving it up with a no drink middle. It's that
- 1:20:08Speaker 8: cabinet show.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: All right, Calvin, call I glad to have.
- 1:20:11Speaker 12: You with us.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Thank you for being here.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: It's you know, we get past the spring break, we
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: get past the Easter holidays, and now the push is
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: on for everything to gear up towards you know, the
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: coming summer season, etc. I'm comfortable just staying where we
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: are for a while. Like, I don't think we have
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: to rush to the next thing all the time. But
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: very very glad.
- 1:20:36Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: One of the things I'm not very glad about, just
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: to be perfectly honest, is to see how the left
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: and some people on the far right in our country
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: continue to root against America and continue to root against
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: the good that we're trying to accomplish in Iran. You
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: may not be in favor of the military action that
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: we've taken in Iran, but you should want us to
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: be successful with it. You may not think it's great
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to put our men and women at risk or in
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: harm's way through you know, flights, or through assignments you know,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: on boats or whatever, but you should still want them
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: to be successful. What you should not be wanting to
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: see happen is for them to fail. And at the
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: end of the day, I'm just I'm really losing patience
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: with a lot of this. And another example of it
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: was over the weekend when the President was working on
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: getting that that officer freed and rescued. And by the way,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: in past administration, that guy would have just his goose
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: would have been cooked under Biden and Obama, all he
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: went down, all too bad. And then and then if
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: he's found, and then we negotiate and we give away
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: a whole bunch of terrorists to get him back, et cetera,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: et cetera. No, we didn't do that. We we got
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: in there and got him out and rescued him as
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: quickly as we could, because we believed it was important
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: to do that. Where leadership has their priority set, the
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: rest of the world follows, but you have to be
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: willing to lead. And these were the same people, by
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the way, who tried to tell you stories about how
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Joe Biden was running circles around his younger staffers despite
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: him going essentially missing after he dropped out of his
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: re election campaign in twenty twenty four. These people are
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: now saying that Trump is old and decrepit, and they
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: tried to pass around a rumor this weekend that while
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: he was busy running the mission to bring that Colonel Holme,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: that he was actually hospitalized. I'm not kidding. A bunch
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: of top rated left wing influencers started pushing out a
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: rumor that Donald Trump was in the hospital on Saturday.
- 1:22:55Speaker 12: He was.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Actually the reason people didn't see him publicly is because
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: he was actually in the situation room, and we have
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: witnesses who were all there, by the way, who interacted
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: with him, so we know that's where he was. But
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: he was leading the charge on finding the Air Force
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: colonel that had gone down in that fifteen but that
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: didn't stop conspiracy theorists from running wild with baseless claims
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: that he had mysteriously been hospitalized after the White House
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: called the lid on public appearances mid day. Of course
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: the story is completely false, but do you realize that
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: maybe the first time in either of his terms that
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: they called the lid mid day. For President Trump, they
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: did that weekly. For President Biden, it was like once
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: a week, they're like, oh, sorry, no, that's it for today,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: at like ten am in the morning. Just absurd. And
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: it's not just that they make up the false claim.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: It's that they rubbed their hands.
- 1:23:58Speaker 12: We got him.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: He's ill. It's so demented.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I don't know what these people think they're accomplishing by
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: trying to root for America to fail. They're certainly not
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: pulling for what's best for your family or for mine.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: And I just pray that after the power of Resurrection Sunday,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: that those of us that have a clear head and
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: a steady faith, say, Jesus, we've already asked you before,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: but go ahead and take the wheel. Help us to
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: serve you, and help us to be what this world
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: desperately needs, which are ambassadors of truth, grace and the Cross.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: I'm Calvin McCollough.
