- 0:10Speaker 1: Restlessly. Sunday Week eight is wrapping up. Welcome to the Favorites.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I'm your host, Brandy Kravitz, joined by my fellow capadres
- 0:18Speaker 2: Kendra Middleton and Stucky the Prime Minister. A lot to
- 0:22Speaker 2: discuss here. We'll get the big moments, the big storylines,
- 0:27Speaker 2: National tight ends day. I'll give you a little preview
- 0:30Speaker 2: of Steelers Packers tonight, a Monday night football parlay as well,
- 0:34Speaker 2: but first a recap of the two Kings and a
- 0:37Speaker 2: Queen parlay the Jets cover and when good job, Kendra,
- 0:42Speaker 2: you shot your shot from overseas. Welcome back, by the way,
- 0:46Speaker 2: welcome til I finished there. I had the Saints who
- 0:49Speaker 2: benched Spencer Rattler today, if you're wondering how that went.
- 0:53Speaker 2: And Stucky's on the Commanders tomorrow night plus twelve and
- 0:56Speaker 2: a half and because of me, it doesn't matter. So
- 1:00Speaker 2: maybe we'll fit that into a Monday night football parlay
- 1:02Speaker 2: just to get it back in there.
- 1:03Speaker 1: But Kendra, welcome back. Did you miss us?
- 1:08Speaker 3: I did miss you, guys.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Actually I went to try and listen to the podcast,
- 1:13Speaker 4: but I did not have time, and I was wondering
- 1:16Speaker 4: if you guys were nice to me. But I never
- 1:18Speaker 4: found out, but I did miss you guys.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think we were nice to you. Now
- 1:24Speaker 2: was I kind to myself? The answer to that would
- 1:27Speaker 2: be and no. I am in a shit mood tonight
- 1:30Speaker 2: because I did not have a profitable Sunday and I
- 1:34Speaker 2: lost another head to head bet with Stucky. I owe
- 1:37Speaker 2: Stucky crab cakes for those that have not been following along.
- 1:42Speaker 1: We went head to head on Bears Ravens.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I took the Bears a plus six and a half
- 1:46Speaker 2: on Tuesday because I thought, Hey, if Lamar doesn't play,
- 1:49Speaker 2: what incredible value that is? Closing line value is plush?
- 1:53Speaker 2: I can't pay my bills with it. Unfortunately, if I could,
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'd be set till the holidays. It doesn't matter. He
- 2:00Speaker 2: gets announced out Shenanigan's a foot. Tyler Huntley plays and
- 2:04Speaker 2: the Ravens win and not only cover the new spread
- 2:06Speaker 2: of two and a half, they covered the original spread
- 2:10Speaker 2: of six and a half. And I'm just beside myself
- 2:14Speaker 2: right now, So Stucky take another victory.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Lap Is like I told you, doesn't play. They could
- 2:20Speaker 5: still cover the six and a half and I'd still
- 2:23Speaker 5: like them.
- 2:23Speaker 2: In Tyler fucking Huntly, this guy's been awful for the
- 2:27Speaker 2: last couple of weeks.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Defense has been awful for weeks. They've just been turnover marchings.
- 2:31Speaker 5: They don't get the turnovers today and they get shredded.
- 2:34Speaker 5: And the Ravens defense was healthy. Yeah, that was It
- 2:40Speaker 5: was a much needed win. A very bizarre situation with
- 2:43Speaker 5: hap with what happened with Lamar, like apparently he's gonna
- 2:45Speaker 5: start on Thursday in a short week. We'll see. But uh, yeah,
- 2:51Speaker 5: I think you're zero and five. Had to head bets,
- 2:53Speaker 5: so it's so it's nice I if I go ahead
- 2:55Speaker 5: to head with you, I know that, all right. I
- 2:56Speaker 5: gotta throw a little extra on uh this bet. But
- 3:00Speaker 5: what a boring day of football. I won money today
- 3:03Speaker 5: and usually that's enough to have a fun day. I
- 3:08Speaker 5: don't think I've ever been so bored watching an NFL Sunday.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I mean, there was one close, good finish and that
- 3:16Speaker 5: was Jets Bengals the Owen seven Jets who that's the
- 3:22Speaker 5: Bengals defense. That's one of the most embarrassing performances I've
- 3:27Speaker 5: ever seen. Justin Field too, looked like he couldn't complete
- 3:30Speaker 5: a pass for weeks. Has a wide receiver room of
- 3:34Speaker 5: Arion Smith, who else was Bizard and I don't even
- 3:42Speaker 5: know the third was and Tyler Johnson and they put
- 3:49Speaker 5: up five hundred and twenty yards come back from two
- 3:53Speaker 5: touchdowns down late Aaron Glenn, who always just looks frozen
- 3:58Speaker 5: on the sidelines like it's just like, oh my god,
- 4:02Speaker 5: this season, it just looks completely frozen. It makes the
- 4:05Speaker 5: call of the weekend, goes for two down fourteen. They
- 4:10Speaker 5: get it, score. Joe Flacco goes into the locker room
- 4:14Speaker 5: to take a ship, comes out ships on the field.
- 4:18Speaker 5: I guess again and then but the offense was fine.
- 4:21Speaker 5: He played well, but it definitely under yards to that
- 4:27Speaker 5: version of the Jets offense. That's why you can't the story.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Give him his flowers.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Breesethall was great, Isaiah Davis. Everyone on the Jets was great.
- 4:37Speaker 5: By the way Brisehall threw that pass that was very reminiscent.
- 4:40Speaker 5: You're too young for this, Kenja. But there was a
- 4:45Speaker 5: Jets player back in like O seven who had almost
- 4:50Speaker 5: the exact same play to pitch out to the running
- 4:54Speaker 5: back and then the running back went to throw it
- 4:58Speaker 5: and Herm Edwards was saying no, no, no, don't throw it,
- 5:03Speaker 5: and then ed Reid picked it off. And then Brian
- 5:07Speaker 5: Billock was saying no, no, no, Ed, don't return it.
- 5:10Speaker 5: And then Reid took it one hundred and eight the
- 5:12Speaker 5: other way. But this one, because the Bengals defense is
- 5:15Speaker 5: so incompetent, Mason Taylor just plucks it out of the air.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I can't believe it all threw it, and then I
- 5:23Speaker 5: can't believe that it was caught. But congrats with the
- 5:25Speaker 5: Jets again their first win, and thank you to both
- 5:27Speaker 5: teams for giving us at least a minute of some excitement.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Ma'am what a boring day, I mean. And then I
- 5:35Speaker 5: was like, all right, well the four o'clock last week,
- 5:36Speaker 5: the early slate was awful, but the four o'clock games
- 5:40Speaker 5: were good. This, I mean, the four o'clock games today
- 5:42Speaker 5: were horrendous.
- 5:45Speaker 3: With this schedule.
- 5:47Speaker 5: You can't put the Titans on at four o'clock if
- 5:49Speaker 5: there's only three games league that has to be a
- 5:51Speaker 5: new like just league rule. So hopefully that means we
- 5:55Speaker 5: have some exciting Sundays coming, because I at the Witching
- 5:58Speaker 5: Hour I live for.
- 5:59Speaker 6: It was this week though, we had six teams on.
- 6:02Speaker 5: The by yeah, and just bad games. So hopefully that means, uh,
- 6:07Speaker 5: we think they're they're coming, but the last two weekends
- 6:10Speaker 5: have been have been rough.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Uh, National tight Ends Day delivers again. Tight Ends across
- 6:15Speaker 2: the league accounted for ten touchdowns seven different tight ends,
- 6:19Speaker 2: if my account was right scored between Thursday night, Ronde
- 6:22Speaker 2: Gadsden to this evening Kendra, I'm a little disappointed I
- 6:28Speaker 2: didn't just sit out everything else and just bet any
- 6:31Speaker 2: time touchdowns with tight ends.
- 6:32Speaker 4: But I said that on Twitter, I said that profitable day.
- 6:36Speaker 6: I said that on Twitter.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I set a reminder for myself for next season to
- 6:41Speaker 4: find out when National tight Ends Day is and just.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Put here's the thing, Kendra. We talked about it, we said, hey, listen,
- 6:49Speaker 2: it's out there. We were aware of it, but it
- 6:52Speaker 2: felt like last year it just hit so hard that it's.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Not gonna happen again.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Everybody's gonna go chasing these touchdown stats with these tight ends.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And it delivered again.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So I guess it's one of those things, like we
- 7:05Speaker 2: often talk about fading the public.
- 7:07Speaker 1: This is one of those areas where.
- 7:09Speaker 2: National tight Ends Day, it's just it's a day for
- 7:12Speaker 2: all of the casuals to have fun.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And I think I'm gonna join him next year.
- 7:17Speaker 6: I think that that's the way to do it.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I guess it's just you gotta feed your guys when
- 7:22Speaker 4: the time allows for it. I got in on it
- 7:25Speaker 4: last year, forgot about it this year because I was abroad,
- 7:27Speaker 4: and I cannot forget about it next year again because
- 7:30Speaker 4: you're just leaving money on the table.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It feels like a.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Couple of the other big storylines. The Giant Swag was extinguished,
- 7:38Speaker 2: Jackson Dart melted down, and a lot of that happened
- 7:42Speaker 2: after Cam skataboo horrendous injury with his ankle twisting in
- 7:46Speaker 2: ways that your ankle is not supposed to twist. Philly
- 7:49Speaker 2: looks like they're all the way back. Their passing offense
- 7:52Speaker 2: came back a week ago. This week, Jalen Hurts had
- 7:55Speaker 2: fourth passing touchdowns. That's not even the story of their offense.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Saquon Barkley was unbelievable in today's game, and the Patriots
- 8:02Speaker 2: extend their winning streak to five games. Drake may looking
- 8:05Speaker 2: like a legit MVP candidate, stucky among those or others.
- 8:10Speaker 2: What was your biggest takeaway from the Sunday Action.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know if the Eagles are all the
- 8:14Speaker 5: way back. I mean, the Giants rundy is horrific, and
- 8:17Speaker 5: then they had more cornerback injuries. Their cornerbacks were Banks,
- 8:20Speaker 5: who's unplayable, and Black, who just came up from the
- 8:24Speaker 5: practice squad. He's on the scout team. Like that is
- 8:28Speaker 5: as bad as you could ever have it in your secondary.
- 8:32Speaker 5: And the Giants guy had no money on the game.
- 8:34Speaker 5: The Giants got a horrendous whistle. They had a long
- 8:38Speaker 5: touchdown callback for an Opi which was complete horseshit, and
- 8:42Speaker 5: then hurts on four on another tush Bush clearly fumbled
- 8:45Speaker 5: the ball and they copped out with the forward progress.
- 8:48Speaker 6: The offensive pass interference was crazy too.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I just said that was awful, Like it
- 8:54Speaker 5: awful call the tush push. Yeah, another play that the
- 8:58Speaker 5: rest box and the favor that led to another touchdown.
- 9:02Speaker 5: I mean, Eagles are the right side. But the Giants
- 9:03Speaker 5: were so beat up on defense. Their secondary was in shambles.
- 9:07Speaker 5: But then Scataboo going down. It's a shame the Giants
- 9:10Speaker 5: are cursed like Dart Scataboo neighbors. It would have been fun.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Now we're just yeah, still balling though.
- 9:18Speaker 4: It's impressive like he went out there even after Skataboo,
- 9:21Speaker 4: got hurt, had a rushing touchdown, still trying to make
- 9:24Speaker 4: the receivers that he has left work. I would love
- 9:28Speaker 4: to get money on him as the offensive rookie of
- 9:32Speaker 4: the Year right now, but with what he's left to
- 9:34Speaker 4: work with, I just I can't get there.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Yeah, he's deer got hurt too. I mean, like the
- 9:42Speaker 5: lead he was, I mean, how many times can you
- 9:43Speaker 5: throw to Theo Johnson and Wanda Robinson and put up numbers.
- 9:48Speaker 5: It's a shame because the Giants were like there was
- 9:51Speaker 5: a little glimmer there, and then the Broncos meltdown and
- 9:55Speaker 5: then today more injuries so and then in regards to
- 10:00Speaker 5: the Patriots game, yeah, just not a great matchup for
- 10:02Speaker 5: the Browns just because they are passing offense is terrible.
- 10:07Speaker 5: And that's how you have to attack the Patriots. And
- 10:11Speaker 5: you can beat this Browns defense with explosive passes and
- 10:14Speaker 5: that's what Drake May does. His deep ball right now is.
- 10:18Speaker 6: Pristine, best in the league.
- 10:21Speaker 5: And I mean the Patriots also got their run game going.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I mean the average over five yards carry close to
- 10:26Speaker 5: two hundred yards rushing. The brown here brown pretty much
- 10:32Speaker 5: nothing except Miles Garrett deserves a shout out for five
- 10:34Speaker 5: sacks for sure.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Did you guys see how mad he was on the sidelines.
- 10:38Speaker 4: That's something I wouldn't be so scared to be around.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Are we kidding?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 10:42Speaker 5: He wanted, he wanted a He wanted to go back
- 10:46Speaker 5: in maybe set a record. I believe Derek Thomas has
- 10:50Speaker 5: the record with seven back in ninety one somewhere around there.
- 10:56Speaker 5: And yeah, Garret wanted to go back out there and
- 10:58Speaker 5: get six or seven sacks. He was destroying Will Campbell.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I was gonna I was just gonna ask you if
- 11:06Speaker 4: you thought that it said more about Will Campbell or
- 11:09Speaker 4: more about Miles Garrett today.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Probably a little bit of both. I mean, Garret can
- 11:14Speaker 5: embarrass rookies, but I mean the Patriots offensive line definitely
- 11:18Speaker 5: has issues. It's just it's a more credit to what
- 11:21Speaker 5: May has done in his deep ball this year and
- 11:24Speaker 5: his pocket awareness and his scrap anality, because like the
- 11:28Speaker 5: run game hasn't been there all year it was today.
- 11:31Speaker 5: The offensive line and the protection isn't great. It's not
- 11:34Speaker 5: like he has the best weapons in the league. So
- 11:36Speaker 5: he's definitely playing really well. Wasn't a great matchup for
- 11:39Speaker 5: the Browns and the Browns defense like it is. We've
- 11:42Speaker 5: seen it. We have a huge sample size. Now it's
- 11:44Speaker 5: night and day at home. They suffocate teams, doesn't matter
- 11:48Speaker 5: who you are on the road, it's just not the
- 11:51Speaker 5: same team. And then speaking of not the same teams, well,
- 11:56Speaker 5: it wasn't a great day of people that said there's
- 11:57Speaker 5: not a drop off between Rice Young and Andy Dalton.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Andy Dalton wolf was.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Missable, terrible.
- 12:06Speaker 6: He looked I saw someone on tweet.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I want to say it was like JP Acosta or somebody,
- 12:10Speaker 4: and he goes, he doesn't even look like unk.
- 12:12Speaker 3: He looks like my granddad.
- 12:15Speaker 5: It was bad that I happened. Has had an incredible interception.
- 12:18Speaker 5: But yeah, the Bills, the Panthers run he's been really
- 12:22Speaker 5: has been really good. The Bills were able to run
- 12:24Speaker 5: all over them, and the Bills run defense has been
- 12:26Speaker 5: really bad. The Panthers were able to the Panthers were
- 12:29Speaker 5: not able to get their run game going, so that
- 12:31Speaker 5: was a bit surprising. And then the same thing with
- 12:34Speaker 5: the Falcons. A lot of people said, like, it's gonna
- 12:35Speaker 5: be an upgrade with Kirk Cousins. I know that Drake
- 12:38Speaker 5: London was out, but.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Wow, what the hell happened? To them.
- 12:42Speaker 5: That's one of the most shocking results of the year.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Miami winning thirty four to ten didn't even feel that close.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Like Tua had a really efficient day twenty to twenty
- 12:55Speaker 5: six to ten ish I think four touchdowns. But the
- 13:00Speaker 5: most surprising thing is this horrendous I know that the
- 13:05Speaker 5: the and that was the biggest upset of to his
- 13:06Speaker 5: career points spread wise. I know that the Falcons defense
- 13:10Speaker 5: had some injuries Diablo and Walker, a couple guys in
- 13:15Speaker 5: the front seven. But the Falcons offense, I know it
- 13:20Speaker 5: was Kirk Cousins. He did not look good, but like Ijon,
- 13:25Speaker 5: nine carries for twenty five yards and a fumble. I
- 13:30Speaker 5: mean it is basically like Kyle Pitt showed up and
- 13:33Speaker 5: nobody else did anything. I mean, there's no Drake Lennon.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Darneld Mooney had one catch for eleven yards. That is
- 13:40Speaker 5: a horrendous Falcons loss. And they've been really good at home,
- 13:44Speaker 5: and we'll see on them because there might be an
- 13:47Speaker 5: opportunity to buy them allow next week if Pennix is
- 13:50Speaker 5: back in London, because they're at the Patriots curious to
- 13:53Speaker 5: see what that.
- 13:54Speaker 1: We'll save some of that for Tuesday.
- 13:56Speaker 2: By the way Favorites went nine and two against the
- 13:59Speaker 2: spread in Week eight entering our Sunday Night Football game,
- 14:03Speaker 2: and the Dolphins one of those two that were able
- 14:05Speaker 2: to cover the spread as an underdog and they won out.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Dolphins and Jets the only two dogs as you would
- 14:11Speaker 5: have expected.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so bad, bad day if you back the dogs
- 14:14Speaker 2: before we get the Sunday Night Football. I'm going to
- 14:16Speaker 2: toss it to Kendra for a word about our partners
- 14:19Speaker 2: at DraftKings.
- 14:20Speaker 7: The Favorites podcast has teamed up with DraftKings sports Book,
- 14:23Speaker 7: where new customers can bet five dollars and get three
- 14:26Speaker 7: hundred dollars back in bonus bets if your bet wins
- 14:29Speaker 7: and three months of NBA League Pass to get started.
- 14:32Speaker 7: Use promo code of Favorites when signing up with DraftKings. Again,
- 14:35Speaker 7: use Code Favorites when signing up and bet five bucks
- 14:38Speaker 7: to get three hundred back and bonus bets if your
- 14:40Speaker 7: bet wins plus three months of NBA League Pass.
- 14:43Speaker 6: The crown is yours.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Our best and worst of the Sunday slates. Kendra, kick
- 14:51Speaker 2: us off here.
- 14:52Speaker 4: You got We just talked about this, but I feel
- 14:54Speaker 4: like my wote has to be Andy Dalton.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I am the leader.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Of the sad nation on this podcast.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I that was just terrible. That was the word. I
- 15:06Speaker 4: did not expect him to look that bad. I know
- 15:08Speaker 4: I said that on Twitter. I knew that he had
- 15:10Speaker 4: really declined towards the end there, especially like last year
- 15:14Speaker 4: when you bench Bryce, bring him in, go back to Bryce,
- 15:18Speaker 4: you have to expect that he's probably really truly just there.
- 15:21Speaker 3: For you know, experience, morale, what have you.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And because the court carousel of backups in the league
- 15:28Speaker 4: is just insane.
- 15:29Speaker 3: But that was horrible. My goat got to go back
- 15:32Speaker 3: to the p wards.
- 15:33Speaker 4: It's got to be Drake May I know we just
- 15:34Speaker 4: talked about him too, but he is kicking, asked, taking
- 15:38Speaker 4: names out, kicking the coverage he has with that wide
- 15:40Speaker 4: receiver room in that offensive line, despite Miles Garrett getting
- 15:44Speaker 4: after him all day. Just some of the plays that
- 15:47Speaker 4: I've seen him make the last couple of weeks. I
- 15:49Speaker 4: have to say that I was wrong about this Patriots season.
- 15:51Speaker 4: It looks like so got to give them their flowers.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I've definitely been against them this season. So I don't
- 15:58Speaker 4: even know how else you go anywhere else with your
- 16:00Speaker 4: vote and Goat of the week. Maybe you could go
- 16:02Speaker 4: the Falcons or Raheem Morris in general. Maybe it's got
- 16:05Speaker 4: to be Raheem if it's with the Falcons, because what
- 16:07Speaker 4: the hell is going?
- 16:08Speaker 2: I wow, we could just go with all of Week
- 16:10Speaker 2: eight if we wanted to, with how bad today's games were.
- 16:13Speaker 2: But the Patriots do deserve a proper shout out. They
- 16:17Speaker 2: are three wins away now middle of the Cities, and
- 16:20Speaker 2: they're three wins away from hitting their win total. Over
- 16:23Speaker 2: For those that were sitting on an eight and a half, stucky,
- 16:26Speaker 2: what about you goats and woltes today?
- 16:29Speaker 5: Goat for me would be CJ. Stroud. Texans are my
- 16:34Speaker 5: favorite bet today and yeah, he was dominant. I mean
- 16:41Speaker 5: San Franz defense can't get after the passer. And if
- 16:45Speaker 5: that's the case, people say like Stroud is a terrible quarterback.
- 16:49Speaker 5: He's behind a bad offensive line that just crumbles against
- 16:53Speaker 5: competent defenses that can get pressure. When he plays defenses
- 16:57Speaker 5: that can't get pressure, you can still make all the throws.
- 16:59Speaker 5: And he was throwing to a bunch of Iowa State
- 17:01Speaker 5: young receivers who had I think thirteen catches for one
- 17:05Speaker 5: fifty and two touchdowns and Noel Higgins and Hutchinson and Stroud.
- 17:10Speaker 5: I think went thirty, like thirty of thirty eight for
- 17:15Speaker 5: three toho eight. There was I could be making that up,
- 17:17Speaker 5: but it sounds about right.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Uh.
- 17:20Speaker 5: There was a time in that game where the Texans
- 17:25Speaker 5: had a four forty seven to one forty eight yardage advantage.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Now they're the Texans, so they were only up eight
- 17:33Speaker 5: at the time, but they really should have They should
- 17:36Speaker 5: have been up like thirty at the half. It was
- 17:38Speaker 5: the lowest amount of time of possession by one team
- 17:44Speaker 5: since two thousand and nine. That's the forty nine ers
- 17:47Speaker 5: like a ball control offense. They had the ball for
- 17:50Speaker 5: five minutes. That's it, five game minutes.
- 17:54Speaker 2: CMC had twenty five yards rushing in this game. He
- 17:57Speaker 2: had two hundred total yards last week, so little drop off.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Yeah, and this is the forty nine Ers were kind
- 18:03Speaker 5: of fraudulent, like they've been getting away with close wins.
- 18:06Speaker 5: This is this Texans defense is the best defense they've
- 18:09Speaker 5: played by far, and they just had a ton of
- 18:11Speaker 5: injuries on defense like that. You just they weren't gonna
- 18:15Speaker 5: keep getting away with it. So yeah, that was like
- 18:17Speaker 5: a circle of the wagons Texans spot and they were
- 18:21Speaker 5: Dominant's final score doesn't even do it justice. My wote.
- 18:26Speaker 7: Uh.
- 18:26Speaker 5: The one that I lost today was the Saints, so
- 18:29Speaker 5: I guess I had to go Rattle. I mean, all
- 18:31Speaker 5: you had to do in that game is not turn
- 18:32Speaker 5: it over and you probably cover. I mean the Bucks
- 18:35Speaker 5: offense did nothing that The Bucks had two hundred and
- 18:38Speaker 5: ten yards. They averaged three point eight yards per play,
- 18:44Speaker 5: and you throw the pick six after the huge goal
- 18:46Speaker 5: line stand, which is massive. There was three more turnovers.
- 18:50Speaker 5: His wide receivers didn't help me to They had a
- 18:51Speaker 5: couple of like fumbles drops, But Rattler was who's who
- 18:56Speaker 5: had He has been good against the blitz. He was
- 18:58Speaker 5: not reading the Bulls Blitz. So I give credit to
- 19:03Speaker 5: to Bowls and I give credit to one of the
- 19:07Speaker 5: like that. I mean, the Bucks offense was so beat
- 19:09Speaker 5: up they really couldn't do much. One of the players
- 19:13Speaker 5: of the game for Tampa, and if you had the Bucks,
- 19:16Speaker 5: this might be one of your goats was Anthony Nelson,
- 19:21Speaker 5: who was replacing Hassan Reddick who was out with an injury,
- 19:24Speaker 5: and he had that incredible pick six and then just stick.
- 19:30Speaker 5: That is like a career ender. If you have that
- 19:34Speaker 5: on film of that happening to you. So yeah, they'll
- 19:38Speaker 5: be curious to see what the Saints do at quarterback.
- 19:41Speaker 5: They're at the Rams next, so that'll be something to
- 19:45Speaker 5: keep an eye on. And uh, my goat from just
- 19:48Speaker 5: like a watching perspective was Jonathan Taylor and the Colts
- 19:54Speaker 5: are a machine. They sweeped the Titans again that they
- 19:59Speaker 5: have the most sweeps of it any divisional team since
- 20:01Speaker 5: realignment over one other team, one other opponent, and that's
- 20:06Speaker 5: the Colts over the Titans. They were dominant, put up
- 20:08Speaker 5: thirty eight Jonathan Taylor, three touchdowns, incredible run, and this
- 20:14Speaker 5: is like, look, we don't even have we don't even
- 20:17Speaker 5: have the vote, the real vote coach in Tennessee anymore.
- 20:25Speaker 5: And Mike McCoy does pulls what the vote would have done.
- 20:29Speaker 5: You're one in six and you're down fourteen, playing the
- 20:34Speaker 5: six and one first place team on the road. It's
- 20:37Speaker 5: fourth and three at their forty two, and you punt
- 20:41Speaker 5: for a net of twenty two yards and Jonathan Taylor
- 20:46Speaker 5: takes the next play eighty yards for a touchdown. Like ridiculous.
- 20:52Speaker 5: So yeah, producers saying Taylor's thirty five to one MVP
- 20:55Speaker 5: at DK shot, I just think it's gonna if my
- 21:00Speaker 5: home stays healthy. This is just like his year to
- 21:03Speaker 5: win it, and that offense is probably gonna be Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I mean, you don't often get running backs that are
- 21:07Speaker 2: winning this award, But the Colts right now are running
- 21:11Speaker 2: away with the point differential battle with the rest of
- 21:15Speaker 2: the NFL plus one sixteen. No one's even close. They
- 21:21Speaker 2: are just killing teams every single week. My goat is Tua.
- 21:26Speaker 2: We've got to give credit where credit is due here.
- 21:28Speaker 2: He's been awful this season, but then he comes into
- 21:32Speaker 2: the game.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I don't know if it's like pink eye or what.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, pink.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Eye swollen swollen, I has an illness, plays the best
- 21:42Speaker 2: game of the year. Twenty of twenty six two hundred yards,
- 21:45Speaker 2: four touchdowns. He looked like old Tua. Misdirection throw left,
- 21:50Speaker 2: you know it was. It was good to see it,
- 21:54Speaker 2: and I don't know how many more times we'll get it,
- 21:56Speaker 2: but he was really good today.
- 21:57Speaker 1: My vote, I could easily give it to the Bears.
- 21:59Speaker 2: In the Saints, they made me want to throw up today,
- 22:02Speaker 2: just money down the drain for a couple of quarterbacks
- 22:05Speaker 2: that used to play at OU. But I'm gonna give
- 22:07Speaker 2: mine to Woody Johnson, he shits on his quarterback earlier
- 22:10Speaker 2: in the week, and then Justin Fields goes out leads
- 22:12Speaker 2: a comeback to give the Jets their first win of
- 22:14Speaker 2: the season, and Fields isn't great by any stretch, but dude,
- 22:17Speaker 2: look in the mirror like this. Your organization is a
- 22:20Speaker 2: mess because of you, not because of him.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And now that meame.
- 22:25Speaker 4: It's like that meme where the guy is like, who
- 22:27Speaker 4: could have done this after you like shot somebody. I
- 22:30Speaker 4: think it's like an snl skit or whatever. It's like
- 22:32Speaker 4: you did this, but it made me really, really sad.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys saw Justin Field's postgame
- 22:36Speaker 4: press conference where he was talking about he was like,
- 22:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna be really vulnerable with you guys for a second,
- 22:41Speaker 4: but he was crying in his closet on the floor
- 22:43Speaker 4: earlier this week, like it just I think sometimes people
- 22:47Speaker 4: need to take a step back. And we're all guilty
- 22:50Speaker 4: of making jokes and stupid tweets and engagement farming at
- 22:54Speaker 4: times or anything like that, but the same thing with
- 22:56Speaker 4: us when people are mean to us, like we can
- 22:59Speaker 4: relate to it online, but sometimes people need to take
- 23:01Speaker 4: a step back and realize that these are human beings
- 23:03Speaker 4: with jobs and that sometimes people take it a little
- 23:07Speaker 4: too far. Sometimes it's the owner, sometimes it's you know,
- 23:10Speaker 4: people on Twitter, whatever.
- 23:11Speaker 6: But that made me really freaking sad.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Like I was sitting in my uber home from work
- 23:16Speaker 4: and I just was like, well, damn, that's that ruined
- 23:19Speaker 4: my night.
- 23:20Speaker 3: That made me so sad because we've.
- 23:22Speaker 4: All cried on the floor of our closet once or
- 23:24Speaker 4: twice at.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Yeah, and that makes me happier for him that he
- 23:28Speaker 5: got the win today. I'll put throw a bonus vote
- 23:31Speaker 5: out there, and that's what Well said, Kendra. My bonus
- 23:35Speaker 5: vote is the Dack today for a couple of reasons.
- 23:39Speaker 5: I mean, the Cowboys offense just isn't the same on
- 23:41Speaker 5: the road, and certain Patrick Surtain went out with an injury,
- 23:46Speaker 5: and Prescott's still threw for less than two hundred two
- 23:49Speaker 5: interceptions no touchdowns. And the Cowboys defense is a joke.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Although I think i've credit Bonus had a horrible throw
- 23:55Speaker 5: to start the game, then he was good the rest
- 23:57Speaker 5: of the way. The but the reason Dak and who's
- 24:01Speaker 5: played at an MVP colveral level prior to today, the
- 24:04Speaker 5: reason I'm going to say he's a bonus wote. He
- 24:08Speaker 5: threw an awful pick at the end of the first
- 24:11Speaker 5: half that prevent us from getting a chance at watching
- 24:14Speaker 5: Brandon Aubrey try a seventy yarder in that air in
- 24:19Speaker 5: the altitude, which I think they would have done, and
- 24:21Speaker 5: I would have liked to see that on a day
- 24:23Speaker 5: where nothing happened and nothing exciting happened. I was the
- 24:27Speaker 5: four o'clock slate that was like what I was looking
- 24:29Speaker 5: forward to, and then Dak just said, you know what,
- 24:31Speaker 5: I'm going to just throw a pick over the middle
- 24:33Speaker 5: of the field. So bonus wote to Dak for robbing
- 24:37Speaker 5: me of just any joy in the four o'clock slate.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Screw you, Dak.
- 24:42Speaker 2: All right, we're got our Monday night football fast passed
- 24:45Speaker 2: parlay that we will get to you in just a moment.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Packers Steelers tonight.
- 24:51Speaker 2: One of my biggest plays on the week Steelers plus three.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It's not even.
- 24:56Speaker 2: This is the shittiest feeling with an NFL Sunday And
- 24:59Speaker 2: another disclaimer to not Chase, I will not be doing that.
- 25:03Speaker 2: I'm down four units today. I have two on the Steelers.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Even if I cover, it's still losing weekend. It is
- 25:10Speaker 2: what it is.
- 25:11Speaker 5: I just think it's just another game.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Oh wait, hear me out though, Do we go firemooth anytime?
- 25:21Speaker 2: I can't put anything else on this sleep, but you
- 25:25Speaker 2: guys have fun.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Sound over twenty six and a half receiving yards. That's
- 25:30Speaker 5: what Gerner says. Uh so that's apparently the plan. I
- 25:36Speaker 5: don't have anything tonight in the game.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Hopefully it's good, hopefully competitive.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, just give us a good game. So are you on?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Are you on that?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Or is that more of like a can I get
- 25:49Speaker 2: a ground swell of momentum here?
- 25:51Speaker 7: No?
- 25:51Speaker 4: That was more so just a reaction to our national
- 25:56Speaker 4: tight ends day. Do I really do I go in
- 25:58Speaker 4: and you know, mess with the friarmouth at any time.
- 26:01Speaker 2: We've been overthinking it all day. Just just fire on it,
- 26:05Speaker 2: Just do it. Somebody's gonna I.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Had a good day.
- 26:07Speaker 4: I'm like scared to fuck it up at this point.
- 26:09Speaker 4: I had a really good day. And no, I'm like, dude,
- 26:10Speaker 4: I don't.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Johnny anytime?
- 26:15Speaker 2: John whu Okay, going off the beaten path there, Monday
- 26:20Speaker 2: Night Football, Chiefs Commanders, let's do our draft Kings. Monday
- 26:23Speaker 2: Night Football fast pass parlay This is not like our
- 26:27Speaker 2: Thursday parlay where we can argue with each other. We
- 26:30Speaker 2: have to accept the plays here and move on. I'm
- 26:33Speaker 2: gonna I'm gonna throw a Rashi Rice over five and
- 26:35Speaker 2: a half receptions in there, ten targets in his first
- 26:38Speaker 2: game back. It's clear that he's the number one guy
- 26:41Speaker 2: in the passing attack for him to get that sort
- 26:42Speaker 2: of volume after missing as much time as he did,
- 26:45Speaker 2: Happy to add that one to the card here, Kendra,
- 26:48Speaker 2: what do you got?
- 26:50Speaker 4: I'm between two, but I think I'm gonna go with
- 26:56Speaker 4: McLaurin anytime plus three hundred because I don't think we'll
- 26:59Speaker 4: ever see that you like that ever again ever from him.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw him. I think he's His receptions is
- 27:08Speaker 2: at like three and a half.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Also, yeah, I get that they probably aren't going to
- 27:12Speaker 4: be passing the ball a ton, because obviously that's not
- 27:15Speaker 4: gonna be their bread and butter this game. It probably
- 27:17Speaker 4: have to Yeah, that's what I think so too, because
- 27:20Speaker 4: if they get behind early and that's going to be
- 27:23Speaker 4: their guy, that's got to be their guy. Is your
- 27:24Speaker 4: best receiver, You're gonna have to find him at some
- 27:27Speaker 4: point if you want to stay in this game and
- 27:29Speaker 4: I just don't think we're ever going to get value
- 27:31Speaker 4: like that from mclaura never again.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Debo's back in this one, too stuck. You do you
- 27:35Speaker 2: want to just add commanders plus eleven and a half
- 27:38Speaker 2: or plus twelve.
- 27:39Speaker 5: Yeah, plus eleven and a half right now, that's fine.
- 27:43Speaker 5: This this is just too high. I mean, my opinion
- 27:45Speaker 5: like Jade to drop off from Daniels. The current version
- 27:49Speaker 5: of Daniels, this isn't the Daniels that was playing at
- 27:51Speaker 5: an MVP level last year. Is the Daniels that no
- 27:54Speaker 5: matter what stat you look at, he's playing at a
- 27:57Speaker 5: pure league average level. And Mariota it's a small sample size.
- 28:01Speaker 5: I get, it's one hundred and fifty snaps. It's against
- 28:04Speaker 5: some questionable defenses over the past years, but he's top
- 28:06Speaker 5: three in success for ADPA perplaya dot. He can run
- 28:10Speaker 5: this offense, and you have McLaurin, you have Debo back.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Washington also can run the ball. Kansas City's run defense
- 28:18Speaker 5: has been leaky. What does that mean? They can sustain drives?
- 28:20Speaker 5: Mariota can also use his legs, and that means you
- 28:22Speaker 5: can keep Mahomes on the sidelines. The Kansas City offense
- 28:26Speaker 5: is on the upswing. I get it, they have Rice
- 28:29Speaker 5: and Worthy back, but they will be without two starting
- 28:32Speaker 5: offensive linemen here, and I just think this is too
- 28:35Speaker 5: many points like this, This is a great Bilo Cell
- 28:39Speaker 5: high spot. This is a desperation spot for Washington, And
- 28:44Speaker 5: mainly I just think that this should probably be like
- 28:47Speaker 5: ten nine and a half, ten, not eleven and a half. Like,
- 28:52Speaker 5: Mariota can run this offense. The Washington defense is terrible,
- 28:56Speaker 5: but schematically they can get some pressure with Chiefs offensive
- 29:00Speaker 5: line issues, might be able to get a stop or
- 29:03Speaker 5: two that way. But this, Uh, this Washington offense can score,
- 29:07Speaker 5: especially with their weapons back, and Mariota can. It's one
- 29:10Speaker 5: of the best backups in the league. He can run
- 29:11Speaker 5: this offense. And I like that they can run it.
- 29:15Speaker 5: And uh yeah, I think it's too many points. So
- 29:17Speaker 5: let's go with the Commanders plus eleven and a half.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Had I not fucked up our parlay with the Saints,
- 29:22Speaker 2: we'd be sitting on a twelve and a half, but
- 29:24Speaker 2: that number has since vanished, so that bet is null. Well,
- 29:30Speaker 2: we just get a breaking news update. Brian Kelly is
- 29:32Speaker 2: out at LSU. I know this is an NFL Burn podcast,
- 29:36Speaker 2: but holy shit.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Yeah, it doesn't surprise me.
- 29:38Speaker 2: But if the four million dollar buyout, these guys, these
- 29:41Speaker 2: colleges are just throwing money in the trash gaar.
- 29:44Speaker 5: That's the American dream. Become an FBS head coach at
- 29:48Speaker 5: a power program.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Like these guys don't go away like you would think
- 29:54Speaker 2: your job, I get a fifty million dollar buyout, and
- 29:56Speaker 2: like James Franklin is already looking for his next job,
- 29:59Speaker 2: just go lay down somewhere.
- 30:01Speaker 5: I think James Franklin has to contractually.
- 30:07Speaker 3: The fight for Lane Kiffin begins.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that. I think that Franklin's required to
- 30:13Speaker 5: look for a new job and coaching or broadcasting per
- 30:16Speaker 5: his contract to receive the full buyout. So and he
- 30:21Speaker 5: has it's to make a good faith effort, it says
- 30:23Speaker 5: in the contract, because it would help if he does
- 30:28Speaker 5: get a new job, it would help reduce the buyout.
- 30:32Speaker 5: So like the buyout is would be reduced by whatever
- 30:35Speaker 5: the salary he earns in his new role. So he
- 30:40Speaker 5: has to make a good faith attempt at doing it.
- 30:44Speaker 5: So and he probably maybe still has the it. I mean,
- 30:47Speaker 5: you're get into coaching, you probably love coaching, but that's
- 30:50Speaker 5: that also is part of it. He is contractually obligated.
- 30:53Speaker 5: But yeah, Brian Kelly, the crowd was chanting fire Kelly
- 30:56Speaker 5: at the end of that game last night. So it's
- 31:00Speaker 5: and it turned ugly.
- 31:01Speaker 1: It's kind of a dick.
- 31:03Speaker 2: So, by the way, Sean Sean Kerner did put in
- 31:06Speaker 2: the app over on John new Smith at I believe
- 31:10Speaker 2: that was twenty four and a half yards.
- 31:11Speaker 5: So if you guys don't listen, I told you that
- 31:14Speaker 5: four minutes ago.
- 31:15Speaker 3: I heard you.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Okay, did you give up getting crab cakes?
- 31:21Speaker 2: You gotta send me crab cakes address, send me a
- 31:25Speaker 2: link whatever crab cake you want.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I'll come through.
- 31:28Speaker 4: What.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I can't stand this, I can't.
- 31:31Speaker 4: You should send them from like the word and he
- 31:33Speaker 4: lives in Middle America.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I thought about sending him just like a little crab
- 31:37Speaker 2: stuffed animal that you can pick up the publics, but.
- 31:40Speaker 5: No, I have my spot in Baltimore. I'll send you
- 31:43Speaker 5: buy all.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Right, So our parlay Rashi Rice over five and a
- 31:47Speaker 2: half receptions.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Terry McLaurin over yardage. What did you have that at?
- 31:50Speaker 3: Kendra three hundred?
- 31:54Speaker 6: I think it's current where it's Outlet me refresh lists.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Yeah from McLaurin yardage.
- 32:01Speaker 6: Oh no, I had him for any time.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Anytime touchdown.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Sorry, okay, so awesome Commanders plus eleven and a half.
- 32:07Speaker 1: That together over DraftKings is plus eight fifty.
- 32:11Speaker 2: So we've got McLaurin touchdown where she rice over on
- 32:14Speaker 2: his catches and the commander's cover this space.
- 32:16Speaker 3: It's two ninety. My bad.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Well, we got the price in there plus eight fifty.
- 32:22Speaker 2: We're good to go. Good luck everybody. I hope that
- 32:25Speaker 2: your Sunday night is better than my Sunday afternoon. The
