- 0:28Speaker 1: It is time to believe your warriors outside and laugh
- 0:32Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley along with
- 0:36Speaker 1: Trey Trindholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Tuesday, May sixth,
- 0:42Speaker 1: two thousand and twenty five. It's a rare day inside
- 0:46Speaker 1: the treehouse. Raj, you and I got the memo to
- 0:50Speaker 1: wear your black shirt. Trey, however, is the odd man
- 0:54Speaker 1: out wearing red. Usually it's Trey. Usually you and I
- 0:59Speaker 1: are on the same page and Raj is the odd
- 1:01Speaker 1: man out. But today today it's you, Bud.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I feel like whoever wears a black shirt has a
- 1:08Speaker 2: sixty seven percent chance of being in the In the majority,
- 1:11Speaker 2: that is true.
- 1:12Speaker 1: We do love our black shirts here inside the treehouse.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And speaking of love, love is in the air. I
- 1:19Speaker 1: realize that Valentine's Day was a few months ago, but
- 1:22Speaker 1: that doesn't mean you can't show your love and affection
- 1:27Speaker 1: year round. And this is a damn good example of it,
- 1:31Speaker 1: albeit a dangerous one. There is a man who is
- 1:36Speaker 1: obsessed with firefighters, and when I mean obsessed, this is
- 1:41Speaker 1: how obsessed he is. This man is so obsessed with
- 1:45Speaker 1: firefighters that he set his own house on fire just
- 1:48Speaker 1: to watch them. Work. He is what is it, raj.
- 2:00Speaker 3: No, I just thought that was just that's a that's
- 2:02Speaker 3: a bit excessive. That's more than obsessed. That's more than obsessed.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Troubling.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Oh you're gonna get to clap as wall At at
- 2:12Speaker 3: the end of the show. Trade trust me, he is
- 2:16Speaker 3: even obsessed. That's like utically insane.
- 2:22Speaker 1: He is twenty six year old James Brown from the
- 2:24Speaker 1: United Kingdom, and he admitted to starting a fire in
- 2:27Speaker 1: his fuse box just so he could watch his idols
- 2:30Speaker 1: in action. They showed up without the fire and they left,
- 2:36Speaker 1: but that did not say she ate dear James. James
- 2:40Speaker 1: wanted they needed more, so we started another fire in
- 2:46Speaker 1: his house about an hour and a half later, just
- 2:48Speaker 1: to get them to come on back, and they did.
- 2:52Speaker 1: They showed up again and douse the fire and possibly James.
- 2:58Speaker 1: By the way, this is not James his first meet
- 3:00Speaker 1: cute with the local fire department. He has called them
- 3:04Speaker 1: nearly eighty times over the past twelve months. This is
- 3:10Speaker 1: the first time that we're aware of that he's set
- 3:13Speaker 1: a fire in his own home to get them to
- 3:16Speaker 1: show up for him. But because of that he has
- 3:19Speaker 1: now pled guilty or repleted guilty, not sure which. James said
- 3:25Speaker 1: he did it two counts of arson and he's currently
- 3:28Speaker 1: seeking help for his obsession. I would like to go
- 3:34Speaker 1: on record as saying I don't know if this is
- 3:38Speaker 1: a romantic obsession.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a sexual thing or not,
- 3:42Speaker 1: or he just just really like seeing firefighters put out fires.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I have no idea. I've given you every ounce of
- 3:50Speaker 1: information I could dig up on James Brown, the firefighter
- 3:53Speaker 1: lever from the United Kingdom, but it is it is
- 3:57Speaker 1: a level of commitment that I can appreciate.
- 4:02Speaker 3: If you set fire to your own house, I mean,
- 4:05Speaker 3: if you own that house, is it still you still
- 4:08Speaker 3: get charged with arson? Wouldn't it just be like I
- 4:11Speaker 3: don't know, Yes.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's still dangerous. And it's the UK, So
- 4:17Speaker 1: just because it's a house, it doesn't mean it's a
- 4:20Speaker 1: free standing structure. Because in the UK, row homes are
- 4:23Speaker 1: very are very common. So you set fire to yours,
- 4:28Speaker 1: you share a wall with a neighbor or two, it's
- 4:30Speaker 1: like setting fire to their house as well, or at
- 4:33Speaker 1: least the threat of it. So it's very dangerous. It's
- 4:35Speaker 1: also dangerous to the firefighters have to show up to
- 4:38Speaker 1: put out the fire that you started. I did find
- 4:41Speaker 1: it interesting though that the first one was allegedly started
- 4:44Speaker 1: in the fuse box. The second one, though, there was
- 4:47Speaker 1: some bedding on fire, so maybe maybe he was dropping
- 4:51Speaker 1: hints there. Again, I don't know if it's a romantic thing,
- 4:58Speaker 1: if it's a sexual thing, or he just just he's
- 5:01Speaker 1: just really into firefighters. So yeah, eighty times over the
- 5:06Speaker 1: past year that he has called them, first time that
- 5:10Speaker 1: he has set fire to his own home to get
- 5:12Speaker 1: them to show up to do the work, and apparently
- 5:13Speaker 1: throughout the entire process they're fighting the fire, he's got
- 5:16Speaker 1: his phone out, he's recording and everything. So it's just
- 5:21Speaker 1: a real special moment for James and the firefighter.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe he's just one of those what's the technical
- 5:28Speaker 3: like a pyromaniac, the people that are obsessed with the
- 5:30Speaker 3: fire and then that kind of I guess that could
- 5:34Speaker 3: transfer to firefighters.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I guess so. Yeah, And that's what's so weird about
- 5:39Speaker 1: this particular case is that he doesn't seem to have
- 5:42Speaker 1: the traditional tenets of hi romania that we're all aware of.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Like you just said, Roger, it's usually obsessed with the
- 5:50Speaker 1: fire and the flame and all that, and here he's
- 5:52Speaker 1: just the fire is just the tool to get his
- 5:55Speaker 1: real obsession in front of him. And that's the firefighters themselves.
- 5:59Speaker 3: That's so weird, weird, but it's it's the UK. I'm
- 6:03Speaker 3: not surprised.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Look every every country of you know, the UK is
- 6:10Speaker 1: everyone's got their weirdos. There's there's no doubt about that. Yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but I give this guy credit. I mean, he could
- 6:17Speaker 1: have set his neighbor's house on fire instead he did
- 6:19Speaker 1: his own, so at least he's keeping it.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Yeah, in his lane, he's being caution.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Maybe if I just like this bet on fire and
- 6:32Speaker 1: roll around it a naked to save.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Me, That's what I'm thinking. Like it was a fuse box,
- 6:37Speaker 3: that was the betting. The next thing is just going
- 6:40Speaker 3: to be James.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Really, it's just him outside the firehouse going, what's up?
- 6:45Speaker 1: I need money? Y'all have to come out here with
- 6:47Speaker 1: your hose. I got bad news for you, James. I
- 6:54Speaker 1: don't know if they're going to be running code on
- 6:57Speaker 1: that and just let him just go. It's better for
- 7:01Speaker 1: everyone if he just flames out here. He's been he's
- 7:07Speaker 1: been a real drain on the emergency services numbers.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I just don't know how you ask for that request, like, hey,
- 7:14Speaker 3: can you hose me down?
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't even think you need to ask, because what
- 7:20Speaker 1: you do is you just have a little sign next
- 7:22Speaker 1: to you, little heart eyes.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah, very odd obsession.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I am. I am impressed to the level at which
- 7:38Speaker 1: he is willing to go.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 3: See, people don't give crazy people credit. Sometimes their level
- 7:44Speaker 3: of commitment is is stellar.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And and honestly, that's that's part of what is so
- 7:49Speaker 1: terrifying about it is because it's a reflection on us
- 7:51Speaker 1: and our lack of commitment.
- 7:53Speaker 3: That's exactly right.

- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm Dan, He's Trey. That's Raj. Today is Tuesday, May sixth,
- 9:58Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. We had some other stuff planned here,
- 10:02Speaker 1: but Raj, you were just telling us in the break
- 10:04Speaker 1: that you had an issue with a delivery driver recently,
- 10:08Speaker 1: not not really delivering the goods.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Yeah. I was supposed to receive a package today and
- 10:13Speaker 3: instead of making any effort, the FedEx guy got out
- 10:18Speaker 3: of his car, took a picture of the front door,
- 10:20Speaker 3: and then just left. There was no attempt to make
- 10:25Speaker 3: the delivery. It was just a laziness. And so I
- 10:28Speaker 3: get an alert from and I'm sitting here and I
- 10:31Speaker 3: get an alert on my phone. It's like we tried
- 10:33Speaker 3: to deliver the package. I'm like, nope, you absolutely did not.
- 10:37Speaker 3: So they're like, you can go to the facility and
- 10:39Speaker 3: pick it up, or we can just deliver it tomorrow
- 10:41Speaker 3: by five. How do I know you're going to deliver
- 10:43Speaker 3: it tomorrow because you didn't do it today, And that's
- 10:47Speaker 3: your job, your FedEx. You're supposed to make an attempt.
- 10:53Speaker 3: And they just took a picture of the front door
- 10:55Speaker 3: and left.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Was there a signature required.
- 10:58Speaker 3: No, it says no signature requires, but I could sign
- 11:00Speaker 3: for it if I wanted to, so they could have
- 11:03Speaker 3: just left it at the front desk.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I don't understand that level of lazy, because they did
- 11:10Speaker 1: like nine tenths of the job. They went to they
- 11:14Speaker 1: went to your place with I'm assuming with the package.
- 11:18Speaker 1: But they went to your place the address, took a
- 11:21Speaker 1: photo of it, which is supposed to be proof that
- 11:22Speaker 1: they did that. The only thing left was to just
- 11:26Speaker 1: leave the package. Correct, they did everything back in that, Like,
- 11:31Speaker 1: why would you go nine tenths of the way to
- 11:34Speaker 1: just not do the last part because if you don't,
- 11:38Speaker 1: that makes I someone helped me, Someone makes sense of that.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Please, it doesn't make any sense. And I'm I'm and
- 11:46Speaker 3: i'm here so and you have my phone number that's
- 11:50Speaker 3: on the shipping receipt as well, so why not call
- 11:53Speaker 3: and be like, hey, I'm here at your front door,
- 11:56Speaker 3: I have your package? Can I you can? Can you
- 11:58Speaker 3: come out?
- 12:00Speaker 1: I understand certain aspects of lazy, like there's certain things
- 12:03Speaker 1: that you do, don't want to do whatever, and there's
- 12:06Speaker 1: things and links you might go to to get out
- 12:08Speaker 1: of having to do them. But I don't understand doing
- 12:11Speaker 1: nine out of ten steps of the thing and then
- 12:14Speaker 1: just leaving out the final thing when you're already there,
- 12:18Speaker 1: like me would one. If you're a delivery person and
- 12:22Speaker 1: you don't want to make the delivery, then somehow I
- 12:26Speaker 1: don't actually know how you do that. If you're a
- 12:29Speaker 1: lazy delivery driver, do you just you know what, you
- 12:31Speaker 1: drive off a cliff. Maybe that's how you do it.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You you take a photo of a of a of
- 12:36Speaker 1: a ravine and you say you've fallen in it and
- 12:38Speaker 1: you need the rest of the day off. I don't
- 12:41Speaker 1: understand going through almost every step and then just not
- 12:44Speaker 1: leaving the package.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Well number one, it sounds like it would have required uh,
- 12:50Speaker 2: actual conversation with someone, which that seems to be the
- 12:54Speaker 2: first step problem in a lot of things is that
- 12:56Speaker 2: if they can't leave a text or send a message
- 12:59Speaker 2: and actually requires phone call, people don't want to do it.
- 13:03Speaker 1: So weird.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, So that's what I'm saying is that if
- 13:06Speaker 3: you're gonna be lazy, start at step one. Just immediately
- 13:09Speaker 3: go not doing it. Yeah, I'm not delivering this package today.
- 13:14Speaker 2: But it's like it's like with Amazon, Amazon, there is
- 13:16Speaker 2: no if they can't get hold of you via text.
- 13:20Speaker 2: There is no There is no conversation really you're gonna
- 13:23Speaker 2: have with a driver. And as far as they're concerned,
- 13:27Speaker 2: if you don't have instructions on someplace for there to
- 13:29Speaker 2: where they can leave it, they've done their job. They're
- 13:33Speaker 2: getting paid the same amount regardless.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, but I've also had Amazon do the same thing
- 13:39Speaker 3: when they sent me a text and I didn't get
- 13:41Speaker 3: it till for whatever reason later, They'll just leave it
- 13:44Speaker 3: at the door and take a picture and send you
- 13:47Speaker 3: that picture and go, hey, it's here. Just stuf why
- 13:49Speaker 3: I left it at the front door?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Was it?
- 13:52Speaker 6: What?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Was it?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Signature required?
- 13:54Speaker 3: H I could sign for it if I want to,
- 13:56Speaker 3: but there's no actual signature required.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I had some similar like that happened where I had
- 14:01Speaker 1: a package being delivered to a UPS store and the
- 14:06Speaker 1: delivery person and it's a UPS store at a busy
- 14:11Speaker 1: intersection in Dallas at a strip mall. Instead of opening
- 14:19Speaker 1: the door and leaving it inside the little vestibule where
- 14:22Speaker 1: all the little mailboxes are, because they delivered it before
- 14:26Speaker 1: the UPS store was opened, right, instead of opening the
- 14:30Speaker 1: door and putting it inside, they just left it in
- 14:33Speaker 1: the front for anyone to run.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Off with it.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Sure, Yeah, you.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Couldn't just open the door put it inside.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Come on, man, did they have the code open the door?
- 14:44Speaker 1: This one didn't have the code. It's just you open
- 14:46Speaker 1: the door, put it in here. No, that's our place
- 14:49Speaker 1: that you have to have a code. Well, back when
- 14:53Speaker 1: this happened, I don't think there was a code that.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I think you just opened the door and put it
- 14:57Speaker 1: in there.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I went over there to check the mail one time
- 15:00Speaker 2: after hours, and I was very dismayed by that.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Oh all right, well I may have gotten somebody in
- 15:07Speaker 1: trouble unnecessarily. We'll just consider that. Have even doubt considering
- 15:13Speaker 1: the delivery guy that Raj got somewhere under.
- 15:16Speaker 3: A bridge as a FedEx guy going I didn't have
- 15:19Speaker 3: the code. I didn't have the code.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And under the overpass he's just riding over and over.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Oh, melly, my bad.

- 16:26Speaker 1: Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. I
- 16:29Speaker 1: think it's safe to say that given recent news, some
- 16:33Speaker 1: people really just should not be allowed to fly right.
- 16:40Speaker 1: There seems to be a growing epidemic of unruly air travelers,
- 16:45Speaker 1: and a new example just hit the art world this
- 16:48Speaker 1: past weekend. That's because news broke that James ron do
- 16:53Speaker 1: the president and director of the Art Institute of Chicago,
- 16:57Speaker 1: allegedly disrobed in the middle of a flight from Chicago
- 17:01Speaker 1: to Munich, Germany. Unnamed sources informed CBS News that Rondeau,
- 17:07Speaker 1: who has led the museum for nearly a decade, allegedly
- 17:10Speaker 1: drank alcohol and took prescription medication, then removed all of
- 17:14Speaker 1: his clothing while on United Airlines Flight nine fifty three,
- 17:17Speaker 1: traveling from Chicago to Munich on April eighteen. Police were
- 17:21Speaker 1: called to the flight after it landed in Munich, So
- 17:23Speaker 1: the good news is that the flight was allowed to
- 17:26Speaker 1: reach its destination. Sometimes these things end up turning the
- 17:29Speaker 1: plane around or get rerouted to a completely different airport,
- 17:33Speaker 1: so at least they were able to finish their you know,
- 17:36Speaker 1: planned flight. Now, on the news of all of this,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I think it's interesting to note that Terrey, you have
- 17:45Speaker 1: an interesting theory about this situation, and others like it.
- 17:50Speaker 2: It's the InVogue thing to do. It is, it is
- 17:54Speaker 2: the planking of twenty twenty five.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It's the new it trend. Hey, it's kind of like
- 18:02Speaker 1: you tell a friend, hey, I flew out of town.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'm in Munich today, and then someone responds like, well,
- 18:07Speaker 1: if you didn't get naked, did you really do it?
- 18:11Speaker 3: So it's it's it's a it's basically the new goat
- 18:15Speaker 3: yoga is what this is.
- 18:19Speaker 1: And Tray's right, it's it's definitely a trend. We just
- 18:23Speaker 1: don't know if it's supposed to be some sort of
- 18:25Speaker 1: a positive trend, negative trend. We don't know if anyone's
- 18:28Speaker 1: properly labeled it yet, but getting naked on a plane
- 18:33Speaker 1: does seem to be a trendy thing. We just don't
- 18:35Speaker 1: know positive or negative.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I think it's going to be along the veins of
- 18:40Speaker 2: fat positive. Okay, Okay, I'll try to tell you it's
- 18:45Speaker 2: a good thing, but at the end of the day
- 18:47Speaker 2: it's not.
- 18:47Speaker 3: It's hard. They'll try to tell you that it's a
- 18:49Speaker 3: good thing, but at the end of the day, it's
- 18:51Speaker 3: hard disease.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and in this case, it's illegal.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Now my question is, was okay, so they landed in
- 18:59Speaker 3: Munich and the car were there, But so he disrobed
- 19:01Speaker 3: on the plane. Was he naked the whole weight to Munich?
- 19:05Speaker 1: Don't know. We don't know at what point in the
- 19:07Speaker 1: flight he disrobed, So we don't know. I mean, I
- 19:10Speaker 1: don't know how long of a flight that is, but
- 19:11Speaker 1: I'm going to assume it's seven eight nine hours. I mean,
- 19:15Speaker 1: Chicago to Munich is not exactly you know, Chicago to Detroit.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't know at what point in the
- 19:22Speaker 1: flight he got naked. Was it right after they landed, Well,
- 19:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna say well, since they said the police were
- 19:29Speaker 1: waiting for him, it was had to be somewhere during
- 19:32Speaker 1: the flight. We just don't know at what point. Maybe
- 19:34Speaker 1: he got naked because he was he was sleeping and
- 19:38Speaker 1: maybe that's how he sleeps.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Here's my question. We know that now that we are,
- 19:46Speaker 2: you know, twenty five years almost away from nine to eleven,
- 19:48Speaker 2: we don't really have air marshals anymore or anything like that.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Why aren't flight crews equipped with tasers? Because just the
- 19:58Speaker 2: video alone, you could subsidize the fly Southwest would not
- 20:03Speaker 2: have to charge for bags. They could just go viral
- 20:07Speaker 2: and get all the money from clips of flight attendants
- 20:10Speaker 2: tasing people.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It's the same reason you don't give teachers guns because
- 20:15Speaker 3: you pop off with the mouth one time, and you
- 20:18Speaker 3: get one teacher that's pissed off that day, you're gonna
- 20:20Speaker 3: have a shot.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Kid.
- 20:22Speaker 3: It's the same thing. I've been I fly enough to
- 20:24Speaker 3: where I see people being complete. Another dicks to flight attendants,
- 20:29Speaker 3: and it just takes one moment to be like, you know,
- 20:31Speaker 3: want to have this taser in my pocket? He says,
- 20:35Speaker 3: one more thing in flight meal not.
- 20:38Speaker 2: You have yet to dissuade me from my argument. I'm sorry,
- 20:44Speaker 2: someone gets needlessly tasted. Still the video goes viral.
- 20:47Speaker 9: Yeah, especially, and then you have to change your slogan
- 20:54Speaker 9: from fly the Friendly Skies to something else because now
- 20:58Speaker 9: they're just.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Equipped with with with electricity.
- 21:02Speaker 1: They can fly the excitings guys.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and did he.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Still get cart service? Is what I want to know,
- 21:07Speaker 3: Like he's just naked, like I'll have the chicken.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Again, we don't know. And this is the problem
- 21:15Speaker 1: with journalism these days. Everyone talks about for years now
- 21:18Speaker 1: fake news is fake news that it's like, No, The
- 21:20Speaker 1: real problem in journalism is not asking the important questions
- 21:24Speaker 1: like when did this guy get naked? Did anyone ask
- 21:26Speaker 1: him why he got naked? I need to know from
- 21:29Speaker 1: sources on the plane, other passenger's crew, Yeah, the guys
- 21:36Speaker 1: in the very appropriately named cockpit. I want to get
- 21:39Speaker 1: more information about this guy stripping down on the way
- 21:43Speaker 1: to Munich on a plane. Was it because he sleeps
- 21:46Speaker 1: naked and that's what he did? But he had a
- 21:47Speaker 1: blanket over him and it was somehow discovered. Was he
- 21:50Speaker 1: naked because he's a newt?
- 21:51Speaker 3: Like?
- 21:52Speaker 1: What's the devil? I need more information and I don't
- 21:55Speaker 1: have it. I'm left wanting Yeah, I just.
- 21:58Speaker 3: The combination of alcohol and prescription pills. I guess it
- 22:04Speaker 3: was like maybe like an ambient like type effect. Maybe
- 22:07Speaker 3: he just and you might be right, maybe he sleeps
- 22:09Speaker 3: naked normally and so he's in that altered state of
- 22:12Speaker 3: mind and he's like, you know what my thing is
- 22:14Speaker 3: like there's like there's always like immigrants on the plane,
- 22:16Speaker 3: like coming to like a new country or whatever, and
- 22:19Speaker 3: they see what this guy's doing and like, oh, well
- 22:20Speaker 3: this is this must be a custom. So did other
- 22:24Speaker 3: people start getting naked as well that are not from
- 22:26Speaker 3: you know what I mean? That are not from Munich?
- 22:29Speaker 3: Maybe maybe it was his art.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Oh well done, another possibility. This is why we need
- 22:36Speaker 1: more information from from others that were eyewitnesses.
- 22:41Speaker 2: And you know, considering some of the other stories we've
- 22:43Speaker 2: had about people getting naked on planes and doing other things.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Hopefully he wasn't. Finger painting.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Could have been years and something.
- 22:53Speaker 7: Now you're in the tree House.
- 23:03Speaker 8: Listen us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 23:07Speaker 1: What a happy little tree trunks right here?
- 23:21Speaker 7: You're in the tree House strip.
- 23:26Speaker 8: Listen us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.

- 23:39Speaker 1: across all the social media platforms. So give us a
- 23:42Speaker 1: follow today at Treehouse on Air on social media. Uh
- 23:47Speaker 1: this is the Treehouse Show. I'm Dan, He's trade. That's RAJ.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Today's Tuesday, May sixth, twenty twenty five. We were just
- 23:52Speaker 1: talking about the president of the Art Institute of Chicago
- 23:57Speaker 1: stripping down naked on his flight to Munich from Cargo.
- 24:01Speaker 1: They say because of alcohol and prescription pills. But we
- 24:07Speaker 1: don't know for sure, because we are left with many questions,
- 24:12Speaker 1: not the least of which could possibly be that. You know,
- 24:15Speaker 1: maybe that's just how he prefers to eat. May like,
- 24:19Speaker 1: maybe maybe he sleeps naked, that's why he got naked.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Maybe he likes to eat naked, that's why he got naked.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You know, some people clap when they land. This guy
- 24:28Speaker 1: may have a different tradition, and you'll.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Be able to tell, like if the you know, the
- 24:34Speaker 3: service was good, you know, Jesus walking by, it's like,
- 24:38Speaker 3: you know, the lamb was delicious. I can see that.
- 24:43Speaker 1: That's the best in flight meal I have ever had.
- 24:46Speaker 3: He put his trade table up and didn't use his hands.
- 24:53Speaker 1: It's quite impressive.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Now that's a trick.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Oh, here's a natural segue. So you need to be
- 25:04Speaker 1: careful with prescription drugs. You need to be careful with
- 25:08Speaker 1: any kind of drugs. Right, Well, we're all aware that
- 25:13Speaker 1: fentanyl is bad, yes, yes, hopefully aware that that you
- 25:18Speaker 1: know fentanyl is bad. However, did you know there is
- 25:23Speaker 1: an even worse version of fentanyl in Northern California. The
- 25:29Speaker 1: Santa Clara County Medical Examiner recently confirmed the county's first
- 25:33Speaker 1: overdose death due to car fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that
- 25:40Speaker 1: is one hundred times more potent than fentanyl and ten
- 25:44Speaker 1: thousand times more potent than morphine. My god, we've what
- 25:54Speaker 1: I mean, Finanil's already some of them like one of
- 25:56Speaker 1: the most horrific substances on this planet, with just like
- 25:59Speaker 1: a little like a fingernail of it would kill you
- 26:02Speaker 1: type of thing. And there's a substance on this planet
- 26:05Speaker 1: that somebody made even stronger. Why would you need something
- 26:10Speaker 1: stronger than that?
- 26:12Speaker 3: I don't know. But when I was in the hot
- 26:13Speaker 3: and I understand why there's an epidemic in this country.
- 26:16Speaker 3: When I was in the hospital a couple of years
- 26:18Speaker 3: ago for h Pylory and the paint Great's heightest stuff,
- 26:22Speaker 3: they tried to They kept saying that I had an
- 26:24Speaker 3: abdominal pain, which I never complained about. It was on
- 26:27Speaker 3: I looked at my chart later and it was on
- 26:29Speaker 3: every single page patient complains about and they prescribed me
- 26:32Speaker 3: fentanyl and I refuse to take it. And I'm telling you, man,
- 26:36Speaker 3: they were pissed that I wasn't taking this. So there's
- 26:39Speaker 3: got to be some kickbacks coming in from somewhere. And
- 26:43Speaker 3: you know, one of the nurses was like, I'm glad
- 26:45Speaker 3: you didn't take it. There's four people in rehab right
- 26:47Speaker 3: now because they cut you off. Yeah, it takes three
- 26:50Speaker 3: days to get addicted to it and then they cut
- 26:52Speaker 3: you off. And so now that people start going to
- 26:54Speaker 3: heroin and people start doing this where they start cooking up,
- 26:56Speaker 3: it's applying to man, so they'll start cooking stuff up.
- 26:59Speaker 3: But like a ten thousand times harder than morphine? What
- 27:05Speaker 3: what the ailment do? You did? You accidentally cut your
- 27:08Speaker 3: own leg off?
- 27:08Speaker 1: And I know what it is. It's it's when you're
- 27:13Speaker 1: not wearing any shoes and you kick your metal bed
- 27:17Speaker 1: frame with your pinky toe. That's where you need. That's
- 27:21Speaker 1: when you need a synthetic opioid ten thousand times stronger
- 27:24Speaker 1: than morphine. It's when you is when your pinky toe
- 27:26Speaker 1: hits that betal the corner of the bettle, the corner
- 27:29Speaker 1: of the metal bed frame. That's uh.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I did this on my bed the other day. Shin
- 27:34Speaker 3: to wood the wood framing. Yep, it's a piece that
- 27:38Speaker 3: sticks out a little bit, and the she the bed
- 27:41Speaker 3: of the comforter was covering it and I just kind
- 27:44Speaker 3: of ran around it and then Shin went there and
- 27:45Speaker 3: I went straight to the ground. I'm like, this is
- 27:47Speaker 3: where I live now.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I live here.
- 27:50Speaker 3: I'm not even getting in the bed. I live next
- 27:51Speaker 3: to it.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Well, that's where the that's where the Peter Griffin clip
- 27:55Speaker 1: from Family Guy lives rent free. In my head when
- 27:58Speaker 1: he hits his knee and he's on the curve, just
- 27:59Speaker 1: go ah, that's that's what happens to everyone. That's one
- 28:07Speaker 1: of the most relatable things I have ever seen in
- 28:09Speaker 1: a cartoon, and it's and it's still true to this day.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You hit your shin, hit your knee, funny elbow kind
- 28:15Speaker 1: of thing. That's the thing you make. But there is
- 28:19Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. There is a different
- 28:21Speaker 1: level of pain to when your pinky toe hits a
- 28:25Speaker 1: metal bed frame. It it would have dropped andre the giant,
- 28:30Speaker 1: it would dump, it would drop an elephant. I don't
- 28:34Speaker 1: care that the size of the man. You If you
- 28:37Speaker 1: get into a fight with an abnormally large person, if
- 28:40Speaker 1: you can somehow whack their pinky toe with a piece
- 28:43Speaker 1: of metal, you win.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I would like when I was a kid,
- 28:47Speaker 3: like the marine recruiter came to my house. Now, I'm
- 28:49Speaker 3: just thinking about it, like in that sense, like the
- 28:50Speaker 3: marine cruise, Like I think you'd be a perfect fit
- 28:52Speaker 3: for the Marines. And I'm like now today I'm like,
- 28:54Speaker 3: if I stub my toe, I cry, like I'm not.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I'm not going to be a marine.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Your house specifically to recruit you to the Marines.
- 29:02Speaker 3: They were there for my brother, but he was a
- 29:05Speaker 3: UK citizen okay before he got his dual citizenship, and
- 29:10Speaker 3: so he couldn't so he wasn't He wasn't gonna leave
- 29:13Speaker 3: empty handed. So when when they couldn't get it's my
- 29:16Speaker 3: biological brother, it's like, didn't art.
- 29:17Speaker 1: To him that the recruiter just starts looking around like
- 29:20Speaker 1: who else is here?
- 29:21Speaker 3: I just thought it was cool, like he was in
- 29:22Speaker 3: the full uniform and I'm like, dude, that's that's pretty rad.
- 29:25Speaker 3: And he came in started talking to my brother, and
- 29:27Speaker 3: my mom's like he's a UK citizen, so he can't.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Uh.
- 29:30Speaker 3: And then he just kind of looked at me and
- 29:31Speaker 3: he's like, what about you? And I was like, huh uh,
- 29:34Speaker 3: I'm a crier. You don't want me?
- 29:40Speaker 1: Yeah, No, I don't think I don't think that was
- 29:42Speaker 1: a good commercial for the Marines back in the day,
- 29:44Speaker 1: Few the Proud, the Criers. He just didn't work.
- 29:49Speaker 3: The Few the Proud, the crying Indian in the corner.
- 29:54Speaker 1: But now this truly is terrifying. A thirty nine year
- 29:57Speaker 1: old man in Santa Clair County in californ was found
- 30:00Speaker 1: dead with fake M thirty pills made to look like
- 30:04Speaker 1: prescription oxy codone. It turned out that it was car fentanyl,
- 30:09Speaker 1: which is ten thousand times more potent than morphine and
- 30:12Speaker 1: one hundred times more potent than you know, regular deadly fentanyl,
- 30:17Speaker 1: and the medical examiner warned that M thirty pills may
- 30:20Speaker 1: be laced with these types of substances like car fentanyl,
- 30:24Speaker 1: which is of course frightening because if you can't trust
- 30:27Speaker 1: your drug dealer, then who can you trust.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never understood that, Like it's like a grain
- 30:36Speaker 3: of fentanyl can kill you. I'm like, why do you
- 30:37Speaker 3: want to get rid of your customer base, right, I
- 30:41Speaker 3: don't understand that I would. I would like at least
- 30:45Speaker 3: dilute it to where I'm like, I got you coming back.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I don't know. I've never dealt drugs, but that's what
- 30:49Speaker 3: I'm just indian. I'm just thinking from a business standpoint.
- 30:53Speaker 1: No, that makes perfect sense. I'm with you logically, Why
- 30:55Speaker 1: would you want to kill your customers? You want to
- 30:58Speaker 1: be coming.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Back for more?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Right?
- 31:00Speaker 3: Yeah? Repeat sales?
- 31:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I don't know what the what the
- 31:05Speaker 1: like the weekly sales meetings are like and in the neighborhood,
- 31:09Speaker 1: you know, a drug dealer situation. But I would think,
- 31:13Speaker 1: like most sales meetings, they want the arrows going up,
- 31:16Speaker 1: not going down, like how you think.
- 31:18Speaker 3: The cartel is. Like Glenngary Glenn Ross.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Complaining that this meeting could have been an email.
- 31:32Speaker 8: And you're in the Treehouse US online a Treehouse on
- 31:37Speaker 8: air dot com.
- 31:52Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse.

- 32:35Speaker 1: Let's do Treehouse Talkback Tuesday here inside the Treehouse.
- 32:41Speaker 6: Hey Dad, Hey Chrey, hair Raj James Maxwell, love you
- 32:45Speaker 6: as a show. I have actually been a longtime listener
- 32:47Speaker 6: and a longtime fan ever since the Russ Martin show
- 32:50Speaker 6: days when I was a kid, thanks to my dad.
- 32:53Speaker 6: And I actually finished listening to the recent episode of
- 32:57Speaker 6: the tree House and the pro guys were talking about
- 33:02Speaker 6: how this guy got arrested for hiding Easter eggs filled
- 33:05Speaker 6: with weed in them because it was Easter on for twenty.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Actually kind of made me wonder, how funny would it
- 33:12Speaker 6: be that every time is Easter on for twenty that
- 33:15Speaker 6: Snoop Dog was the Easter Bunny. I love you guys
- 33:18Speaker 6: a show hope you guys have a good day.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I think it's important that this juncture to point out
- 33:25Speaker 1: that if Snoop Dogg wants to portray the Easter Bunny
- 33:28Speaker 1: on four twenty in the future, I think that should
- 33:31Speaker 1: be his idea and not an idea that comes from
- 33:34Speaker 1: a white guy.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Oh No, I think this is I think he would
- 33:39Speaker 3: appreciate it. And I think there's a strand of weed
- 33:42Speaker 3: that he smokes where he sometimes thinks he is the
- 33:44Speaker 3: Easter Bunny. He just needs the outfit.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Now Martha Stewart can make it for him.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Perfect Easter Sunday with Martha and Snoop Funny, Snoopy Snoop Bunny,
- 34:03Speaker 1: Snoop Rabbit.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I would go to that services. And that's a Hindu talking.
- 34:11Speaker 2: It's funny between the two of them. I think Martha's
- 34:13Speaker 2: the only one's been to Prism.
- 34:15Speaker 1: It is. It's true.
- 34:20Speaker 10: Hey, guys, j C here just got a question for Raj.
- 34:26Speaker 10: I remember you mentioning cremation and Hinduism, and I was
- 34:30Speaker 10: looking more into Hinduism and I saw that they did
- 34:34Speaker 10: it by funeral pyre, which is they pile wood and
- 34:39Speaker 10: then you know they cremate you.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Which by the way is also known as Jedi style.
- 34:47Speaker 10: So my question is, because you're a Hindu in Texas,
- 34:53Speaker 10: if you do the funeral pyre, do you get to
- 34:56Speaker 10: select the wood like pecan mesquite? No pun intended for hickory.
- 35:04Speaker 10: I just didn't know anyway. I thought those are kind
- 35:07Speaker 10: of stupid, and it was just one of those inquisitive
- 35:10Speaker 10: things I guess later.
- 35:16Speaker 3: I love it.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Thank you very much, JC and Maxwell. So yeah, I
- 35:20Speaker 1: mean it would be fitting for you, ra if you're
- 35:22Speaker 1: going to be thrown onto the pyre and cremated as
- 35:25Speaker 1: per Hindu custom, since you grew up in Mosquito, would
- 35:29Speaker 1: make sense that you would be burned with mesquite.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm not trying to be smoked. I'm not trying
- 35:35Speaker 3: to be.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Smoked, Raj. It's not the con rage.
- 35:43Speaker 3: You don't know.
- 35:44Speaker 1: There could be a liner on the block waiting for.
- 35:48Speaker 3: He always loved maple in India. It's it's sandal wood
- 35:53Speaker 3: is what they use because of the smell. Oh, and
- 35:56Speaker 3: it's very quick, Like my uncle just passed away last
- 35:59Speaker 3: week and he passed away at five. He was cremated
- 36:03Speaker 3: at five point thirty, so it's very it's very quick.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Wow.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Yeah, And so they just take there's a whole. It's
- 36:10Speaker 3: it's a huge plot of land where I mean there's
- 36:14Speaker 3: multiple It's India. There's billions of people, and people thousands,
- 36:17Speaker 3: hundreds of thousands die every day, so they have like
- 36:20Speaker 3: these huge funeral rounds and it's sandal wood so it keeps.
- 36:23Speaker 3: And then they cover the body in flowers and different
- 36:26Speaker 3: essential oils so it keeps the the flesh burning flesh
- 36:30Speaker 3: smell out of the air.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Does that Does that make it weird for you? When
- 36:33Speaker 1: you go to the mall and you walk past the
- 36:34Speaker 1: bath and body works, Yes, that's my uncle. I smell Grandma.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Why is that guy crying? He couldn't be a marine, That's.
- 36:51Speaker 1: What just going to bath and body works? Like, do
- 36:56Speaker 1: you have anything in like an o de rajesh and
- 37:02Speaker 1: I need a new wallflower?
- 37:07Speaker 2: The smell of guilt.
- 37:16Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse.

- 37:51Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com. That's Treehouse on
- 37:55Speaker 1: Air at gmail dot com to advertise right here inside
- 37:58Speaker 1: the Treehouse. This is the tree House Show. I'm Daniel
- 38:01Speaker 1: Malley along with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. We were
- 38:05Speaker 1: talking earlier about fentanyl bad. There's a synthetic version that's
- 38:12Speaker 1: of an opioid that's even worse, known as car fentanyl,
- 38:15Speaker 1: ten thousand times stronger than morphine, one hundred times stronger
- 38:21Speaker 1: than regular fentinyl, as if regular fentonyl wasn't bad enough.
- 38:25Speaker 1: And Trey, you were saying that the cartels even have
- 38:28Speaker 1: a problem with this because because we were discussing, why
- 38:32Speaker 1: would you want something deadlier than fentanyl when a small
- 38:36Speaker 1: amount of it can already kill you. Therefore, as a
- 38:38Speaker 1: drug dealer, kill all your customers. That's bad business. And
- 38:42Speaker 1: you're saying that's a legitimate concern for cartels.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't want to kill their customers. And the
- 38:48Speaker 2: problem is is the uncut fentanyl gets into the wrong
- 38:54Speaker 2: hands and then you have smaller, generally smaller drug people
- 39:00Speaker 2: i'm drug organizations cutting it and cutting it wrong and
- 39:03Speaker 2: putting too much in and then you have overdoses.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Which is of course bad for business because you don't
- 39:09Speaker 1: want to kill your customers. You want them coming back
- 39:11Speaker 1: for more.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Repeat business is the idea, Ye, what it is? Yeah,
- 39:17Speaker 3: but I thought they would, Like I thought they shipped
- 39:20Speaker 3: uncut fentanyl too. Dealers in like Arizona, California, that's kind
- 39:27Speaker 3: of where most of it comes from. New Mexico, stuff
- 39:30Speaker 3: like that, so they can cut it on their own
- 39:32Speaker 3: and they get a higher value for the uncut ventanyl.
- 39:34Speaker 3: And then those guys cut it and step on it
- 39:36Speaker 3: whatever and increase that value by fifty times.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Well I think that's so. It's kind of like cocaine
- 39:42Speaker 2: is instead of cutting it and shipping it ready to go. Yeah,
- 39:47Speaker 2: people get it. The problem is people, evidently, from what
- 39:50Speaker 2: I have read it, people are mixing it wrong and
- 39:52Speaker 2: then you get these these doses that are way too
- 39:54Speaker 2: high and kill people.
- 39:55Speaker 1: See, this is why you need more training in the
- 39:58Speaker 1: drug sales process. During the onboarding, when you close a sale,
- 40:07Speaker 1: you need to have some orientation. It's kind of like
- 40:10Speaker 1: being a software salesperson.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 40:12Speaker 1: You go out there and you tell them how great
- 40:14Speaker 1: your product is, and then you you close the deal
- 40:17Speaker 1: and you get you get the buy right, Well, then
- 40:19Speaker 1: the person from the onboarding department needs to come in
- 40:22Speaker 1: and show the people how to use the software. In
- 40:24Speaker 1: this case, someone from the cartel needs to hop on
- 40:27Speaker 1: zoom with the with the new customer and show them
- 40:30Speaker 1: how to properly take the drugs so they don't kill themselves.
- 40:33Speaker 1: And now they're out an account.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Well, and you're right, but at the same time, and
- 40:38Speaker 2: it's so American of you know after a while that
- 40:43Speaker 2: that really, you know, fitnel just isn't enough, so you
- 40:46Speaker 2: need something stronger.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Yeah it is.
- 40:50Speaker 2: It is Biggie sizing it in the drug world, Pentanyl
- 40:54Speaker 2: Texas edition.
- 40:59Speaker 1: It really isn't like there needs to be some more.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I hate to say this because I typically hate large corporations,
- 41:05Speaker 1: but I do think the cartels could learn a little
- 41:07Speaker 1: bit from some major HR departments about making sure you
- 41:11Speaker 1: don't kill off your customers. Let's make sure you get
- 41:13Speaker 1: a customer for life, or maybe you can run your
- 41:17Speaker 1: cartel kind of like the Men's warehouse, not only by
- 41:20Speaker 1: the president. I'm also a client, so at least that way,
- 41:24Speaker 1: you know it's a good product because they themselves use
- 41:26Speaker 1: it and they're not dying. Good sales process. You need
- 41:31Speaker 1: some good onboarding and some training and you know, and
- 41:35Speaker 1: then a weekly meeting may not be a terrible idea
- 41:38Speaker 1: where you get your department heads together and middle manage
- 41:41Speaker 1: the hell out of stuff.
- 41:42Speaker 3: There's just some guy. There's just some drug dealer waiting
- 41:46Speaker 3: in a waiting room, like there's a reception. It's like
- 41:48Speaker 3: little puppet will see you now.
- 41:52Speaker 2: I just like that. You know the thought of a
- 41:54Speaker 2: cartel with an HR department do too?
- 42:01Speaker 3: What do you have to do to get written up?
- 42:05Speaker 1: It's pretty bad when the h when the head of
- 42:07Speaker 1: HR is carrying around a MACHETI for all things Treehouse
- 42:18Speaker 1: go to Treehouse Air dot com. Be sure to find
- 42:21Speaker 1: and follow us on social media at Treehouse on Air.
- 42:25Speaker 1: For me, it's at the Dan O'Malley. For Trey, it's

- 42:31Speaker 1: We'll see you back in here tomorrow unless you get
- 42:33Speaker 1: your hands on some carpentanel inside the Treehouse
