- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark some all the issues.
- 0:01Speaker 2: You really care about.
- 0:03Speaker 3: On seven ten wor.
- 0:07Speaker 4: Well, Hey, a word is that the US and Iran
- 0:09Speaker 4: have reached a deal. That there is an actual deal.
- 0:14Speaker 4: They will have to go to the President for its
- 0:16Speaker 4: final approval, but we'll see that. But the word is
- 0:19Speaker 4: they they've reached an agreement of some kind. We had
- 0:22Speaker 4: to take some action yesterday because Iran was about to
- 0:27Speaker 4: pull something. They had four drones in the air. They
- 0:29Speaker 4: were about to go after a ship. We quickly shot
- 0:33Speaker 4: the four drones right out of the air, and there's
- 0:35Speaker 4: a ground base that was launching them about to launch
- 0:38Speaker 4: a fifth drone and we immediately blew that up. So
- 0:42Speaker 4: that might have helped speat things up. But this morning
- 0:45Speaker 4: it looks like it looks like a deal is just
- 0:49Speaker 4: about reach.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:49Speaker 4: We don't know if it's a good deal a bad deal.
- 0:52Speaker 4: The President has not seen it yet. We basically have
- 0:56Speaker 4: all the cards right now. Yeah, they can close the
- 0:57Speaker 4: Straight O Horn Moose and it raises the world wide
- 1:00Speaker 4: price of oil. That's just a little temporary thing. But
- 1:04Speaker 4: as long as the straits closed, Iran has no income.
- 1:08Speaker 4: That's their revenue oil going to the Straight of hornmos.
- 1:11Speaker 4: As long as it's shut down. Their economy is shut down,
- 1:15Speaker 4: and they've got a problem in that it's been going
- 1:17Speaker 4: on for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks, so
- 1:19Speaker 4: they've had to have this huge backup of oil that
- 1:23Speaker 4: they've had to store somewhere, and apparently they're just about
- 1:26Speaker 4: out of storage facilities for the oil. So if you
- 1:29Speaker 4: can't store the oil anymore, you got to shut down
- 1:32Speaker 4: your wells. And once you shut down the wells for
- 1:36Speaker 4: a time, it's very, very tough to reopen them. Everything
- 1:39Speaker 4: shuts down, rusts up, dries out. It could be a
- 1:43Speaker 4: long time damage to their economy. So that's one problem.
- 1:48Speaker 4: The other problem is we've frozen all of their assets.
- 1:50Speaker 4: We've got about five hundred billion in Iranian money that's
- 1:53Speaker 4: frozen we're holding, so big, big, big problem for Iran.
- 1:58Speaker 4: So they're the ones motivated to make a we can
- 2:01Speaker 4: last like this for a long time. I mean, the
- 2:02Speaker 4: price of gas being up is a bad thing, but
- 2:05Speaker 4: outside of that, we don't have anything to worry about it.
- 2:08Speaker 4: They've got everything to worry about. A shut economy. Their
- 2:11Speaker 4: oil field's about to get damage from being shut down.
- 2:15Speaker 4: So it looks like a deal has been reached. It's
- 2:18Speaker 4: on its way to the President for approval. But we'll
- 2:21Speaker 4: see what happens, so expect something to be announced later today.
- 2:25Speaker 4: The Trump is suing the Wall Street Journal for ten
- 2:29Speaker 4: billion dollars. It's over the crazy Epstein sort of stuff
- 2:35Speaker 4: the Wall Street Journal. There's a number of complaints. One
- 2:39Speaker 4: is that they published that ridiculous birthday card. It was
- 2:43Speaker 4: a birthday card that looked like all sorts of celebrities
- 2:45Speaker 4: mailed in all sorts of birthday greetings. There was one
- 2:50Speaker 4: from Donald Trump, which is clearly not Donald Trump, so
- 2:53Speaker 4: most likely Epstein just faked it. He does know a
- 2:57Speaker 4: few celebrities who sent him some birthday stuff, but looks
- 3:00Speaker 4: like looks like he forged some of them. The one
- 3:04Speaker 4: from Donald Trump is an obscene drawing with Trump's signature
- 3:08Speaker 4: under it. I got a lot of Trump's signatures on
- 3:10Speaker 4: a lot of letters and notes, and that signature doesn't
- 3:14Speaker 4: match any of them, So it's clearly not Trump's signature,
- 3:17Speaker 4: and that obscene drawing it doesn't look like anything Trump
- 3:20Speaker 4: would do, so they published it. Trump is suing them
- 3:25Speaker 4: for ten billion. Now here's the problem. He may have
- 3:28Speaker 4: a case here, but he's suing for damage to his reputation.
- 3:33Speaker 4: It's a tough case to make. I mean, who could
- 3:35Speaker 4: have a reputation that's been more attacked than Donald Trump?
- 3:39Speaker 4: How could you make the case in the courtroom that
- 3:41Speaker 4: what they said about me was so harmful to me
- 3:45Speaker 4: when the worst things on earth are being said about
- 3:47Speaker 4: you a billion times a day, every second, all over them.
- 3:49Speaker 4: So how could you claim your reputation was hurt? And
- 3:53Speaker 4: the Wall Street Journal can claim it was an Epstein
- 3:57Speaker 4: birthday card. Thing came from Epstein, came from his file.
- 4:00Speaker 4: We had every reason to publish it. It was from Epstein.
- 4:04Speaker 4: May have been faked by him, but it was from him.
- 4:07Speaker 4: So we'll see where this lawsuit goes. Bruce Springsteen, now
- 4:14Speaker 4: I never thought he was that political. I mean, in
- 4:16Speaker 4: all the years, you know, there's some songs about America
- 4:20Speaker 4: about this, but he's never been political.
- 4:23Speaker 2: But he's guts and.
- 4:24Speaker 4: I don't know if he really has as much Trump
- 4:25Speaker 4: hatred I think he does. But can also be for
- 4:28Speaker 4: business purposes. You know, he's an old old timer from
- 4:32Speaker 4: him way back when, and they're trying to stay cutting
- 4:35Speaker 4: edge current and he attack Trump like crazy. Well maybe
- 4:39Speaker 4: it's good for his business, but and it's fine. You
- 4:42Speaker 4: know you want to attack Trump.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Great.
- 4:45Speaker 4: I don't think anybody takes Bruce Springsteen seriously when it
- 4:48Speaker 4: comes to politics. But if you were watching in a
- 4:50Speaker 4: week or two, good Boy. In the middle of the concert,
- 4:52Speaker 4: he starts doing a rant about Trump. Well, actually it's
- 4:56Speaker 4: on my Twitter if you can take a look at it.
- 4:58Speaker 4: He's ranting about Trump, how he's destroying America. But the
- 5:01Speaker 4: funniest thing, you can see the video on my Twitter.
- 5:04Speaker 4: He's reading it off a teleprompter. And he's not the
- 5:06Speaker 4: brightest guy in the world, so he has to read
- 5:09Speaker 4: the rant off a teleprompter. But apparently last night he's
- 5:13Speaker 4: at a concert, doing a concert in DC. Now, you
- 5:16Speaker 4: go to a Bruce concert, you're paying a fortune to
- 5:18Speaker 4: sit there. What are you paying all this money for
- 5:21Speaker 4: for him to do his hits, for him to entertain you.
- 5:24Speaker 4: You're at a concert, You're there to have fun. So
- 5:26Speaker 4: apparently he launched into a vulgar rant about Trump, using
- 5:33Speaker 4: the F words, screaming, the effing White House. He's screaming,
- 5:38Speaker 4: screaming in this rant. But here's the thing. It went
- 5:41Speaker 4: on for six minutes, six minutes of screaming about Trump.
- 5:48Speaker 4: This is in the middle of a concert. Six minutes.
- 5:51Speaker 4: That's two songs that could have been in there. He's
- 5:55Speaker 4: just going on and on and on. Now a lot
- 5:57Speaker 4: of people around him are starting to worry, really worry
- 6:01Speaker 4: that he's becoming unhinged. If you hate Trump, great, you know,
- 6:04Speaker 4: yell about it for ten seconds, twenty seconds in between songs,
- 6:08Speaker 4: a minute if you have to. But if I can't
- 6:12Speaker 4: even play it on the air because it's a lot
- 6:13Speaker 4: of f words. But it's really deranged ranting. He's not
- 6:17Speaker 4: even saying anything. He's just screaming and yelling about Trump,
- 6:20Speaker 4: and he's just repeating things over and over again six minutes,
- 6:26Speaker 4: six minutes in the middle of a concert. Yeah, you
- 6:29Speaker 4: don't talk about anything for six minutes in the middle
- 6:32Speaker 4: of a concert. So people starting to worry that they're
- 6:37Speaker 4: gonna have to do something. They're gonna have to medicate
- 6:39Speaker 4: him a little, give him some of the oj on
- 6:41Speaker 4: trial medication a mellow them out, get him to calm down. Hey, Stephen.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Colbert went off the air and Byron Allen replaced it
- 6:50Speaker 4: with his comics Unleashed. It's pretty good, actually, you know,
- 6:54Speaker 4: if you'll watch it, it's pretty much it's the same
- 6:57Speaker 4: thing as Gutfeld. It's four comedians and chairs, and Gutfeld's
- 7:01Speaker 4: very funny, and this is very funny, and you start
- 7:03Speaker 4: to realize, you know, that's what late night TV was
- 7:05Speaker 4: supposed to be. You know, you're supposed to get all
- 7:08Speaker 4: riled up and angry and Trump hatred and get yourself
- 7:11Speaker 4: all into a frenzy over Trump before you go to sleep.
- 7:14Speaker 4: But if you watch that Byron Allen Show, or you know,
- 7:16Speaker 4: like Gutfeld, it's very charming, relaxed, it's very funny. You laugh,
- 7:22Speaker 4: it's humor. It's what you want to watch right before
- 7:24Speaker 4: you fall asleep. Take a look at it tonight. It's
- 7:28Speaker 4: on eleven thirty to twelve thirty, and it's just very
- 7:31Speaker 4: funny stuff. It's really funny, and it's doing well. Now
- 7:35Speaker 4: you're going to see in the fake news they're going
- 7:38Speaker 4: to put out all these numbers about how the ratings
- 7:40Speaker 4: are terrible, how it's down eighty five percent for Colbert.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Well that's not really true.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Overall.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I think it's averaging about a million people, which is
- 7:49Speaker 4: not you know, Colbert didn't do much more than that.
- 7:51Speaker 4: But again, it just came on. It's going to take
- 7:54Speaker 4: a while to attract its own audience. Obviously, the angry
- 7:58Speaker 4: hate field Colbert audience. They're not looking for laughs in comedy,
- 8:02Speaker 4: so they went away. And it'll take Byron Allen a
- 8:05Speaker 4: while to attract his own audience. So the overall number
- 8:07Speaker 4: looks like it's down. But but Byron Allen has been
- 8:13Speaker 4: putting out these numbers. You know, a lot of these
- 8:15Speaker 4: ratings come from New York in LA and d C.
- 8:18Speaker 4: New York and LA, the major cities, the very blue
- 8:21Speaker 4: elitist in New York, you know, Washington, d C, LA,
- 8:25Speaker 4: that crowd. But Byron Allan has been putting out the
- 8:29Speaker 4: breakdowns of real America, you know, the real heartland of America.
- 8:33Speaker 4: If you look at the other cities, if you look
- 8:36Speaker 4: at Nashville, if you look at the Midwest, if you
- 8:38Speaker 4: look at normal places, it's actually beating Colbert already. It's
- 8:43Speaker 4: actually way up from what Colbert had. So give it
- 8:47Speaker 4: a few weeks till people find out it's on. Takes
- 8:49Speaker 4: a little word of mouth, takes a little you know,
- 8:52Speaker 4: changing channels before people find it. So a month or
- 8:54Speaker 4: two from now it may have much much bigger ratings
- 8:58Speaker 4: than Colbert had. Hey, those ice attention centers you know
- 9:03Speaker 4: the one in New Jersey again, tremendous rioting, yelling, screaming.
- 9:09Speaker 4: There's a crazy left wing kooks that are was a
- 9:12Speaker 4: truck driver trying to get out, these protesters blocked him.
- 9:16Speaker 4: He gets out and starts going after them. These are
- 9:19Speaker 4: Antifa thugs there. This's Antifa funded by George Soros types,
- 9:24Speaker 4: funded by nevill Roy Singman out of China. So they're
- 9:28Speaker 4: ginning all of this up to go after these ice centers.
- 9:31Speaker 4: And of course the knee jerk Democrats play right along
- 9:35Speaker 4: with the Democratic officials, the Mikey Sheryl, the Corey Bookers
- 9:39Speaker 4: yelling about this ice center. And Mark Wayne Mullen, new
- 9:45Speaker 4: Homeland Security Secretary, he's asked about it in this cabinet
- 9:49Speaker 4: meeting yesterday. The cameras are on him and he said,
- 9:51Speaker 4: it's a detention center. It's a prison. It's not a
- 9:54Speaker 4: holiday inn. It's not supposed to be great conditions. Now
- 9:58Speaker 4: there's this controversy about the food that they're being starved
- 10:01Speaker 4: at a well, actually they're on a hunger strike, as
- 10:04Speaker 4: though you've been hearing this hunger strike. That's Mikey Cheryl,
- 10:06Speaker 4: that's why we had to act. Well, yeah, it turns
- 10:08Speaker 4: out it's not really a big hunger strike. It's just
- 10:12Speaker 4: a handful of certain detainees want their own ethnic food.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And well here's here's Mark Wayne moulland.
- 10:18Speaker 5: It's there a sanctuary city, and they're no. Hang on,
- 10:22Speaker 5: they say that they're that it's because they're on a
- 10:25Speaker 5: hunger strike, when there was only a handful of individuals
- 10:27Speaker 5: that was refusing to eat because they want their ethnic
- 10:29Speaker 5: group or their ethnic right food. Well, they go back
- 10:32Speaker 5: to the country and get whatever food they want.
- 10:35Speaker 4: So now most of the people in there by the
- 10:37Speaker 4: way are rapists, murderers, gang members, drug dealers, that sort
- 10:42Speaker 4: of stuff. This is who democrats are defending like crazy.
- 10:45Speaker 4: So he's also got an idea either, if you're you know,
- 10:48Speaker 4: some places to declare New York wherever, where a sanctuary city,
- 10:52Speaker 4: no enforcement, no law enforcement, no ICE, No, we're a sanctuaries. Uh,
- 10:57Speaker 4: it's an interesting idea. If you're really a sanctuary city
- 11:00Speaker 4: and you're not going to help ICE, maybe we'll ban
- 11:03Speaker 4: international flights from coming in. It's interesting.
- 11:06Speaker 5: It's they're a sanctuary city and they're receiving international flights
- 11:11Speaker 5: and we're asking them to partner with us at the airport,
- 11:14Speaker 5: but once they walk out of the airport, they're not
- 11:16Speaker 5: going to enforce integration policy. Maybe we need to have
- 11:20Speaker 5: a really hard look at that because we need to
- 11:21Speaker 5: focus on cities that want to work with us.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Yeah, interesting idea. I don't get away with it. But hey,
- 11:27Speaker 4: this sixty minutes they're trying to clean house there. Barry Weiss,
- 11:31Speaker 4: the new CBS chief, is trying to get rid of
- 11:33Speaker 4: all the fake news, slanted partisans. Yeah, sixty minutes have
- 11:37Speaker 4: been caught lying and wrong about so many things. Leslie
- 11:41Speaker 4: Stall totally wrong, covering up the surveillance, and Trump taroll
- 11:45Speaker 4: that kind of stuff. So bad stuff been going on
- 11:47Speaker 4: at sixty minutes. So apparently you got rid of Sharon
- 11:50Speaker 4: al Fonsei. I haven't seen sixteen minutes in years, but
- 11:54Speaker 4: apparently she's been there for years. So she's leaving. They
- 11:58Speaker 4: gave her some other sort of job at CBS. But
- 12:00Speaker 4: she put out a nasty, nasty statement that she said,
- 12:04Speaker 4: don't think for a second that this was a routine
- 12:08Speaker 4: corporate transition. This is not modernization, this is not restructuring.
- 12:13Speaker 4: So it's basically saying I was fired for my beliefs. Well, good, good,
- 12:18Speaker 4: stop slanting sixty minutes. We think of our old buddies
- 12:22Speaker 4: Mike Wallace and those guys and Morally Safer and Harry
- 12:27Speaker 4: Reason to look what you're doing to their show. Hey, ozempic,
- 12:32Speaker 4: that's interesting because you had to try to lose weight.
- 12:35Speaker 4: You know, they used to have diet pills. They used
- 12:37Speaker 4: to have all kinds of weight loss schemes, diets and
- 12:40Speaker 4: work that didn't work. Then ozempic is invented, and all
- 12:45Speaker 4: of those kind of shots, those Ozmpic type things. You
- 12:48Speaker 4: just take the shot and boom, you lose weight. You
- 12:50Speaker 4: see it in your friends, you see it in people. Well,
- 12:52Speaker 4: you get that Ozmpic, that's it, weight loss, one hundred
- 12:55Speaker 4: percent success. You're gonna lose weight. It's guaranteed with the Well,
- 12:59Speaker 4: there's an other thing like this that's being developed. They
- 13:02Speaker 4: think they're pretty close. They may have a cholesterol shot
- 13:08Speaker 4: that will just bring down your cholesterol. They're working on this.
- 13:10Speaker 4: They're very close to perfecting it. An actual cholesterol shot.
- 13:14Speaker 4: So if you can't get your cholesterol down, you'll take
- 13:17Speaker 4: this shot every week. Problem solved. There'll be more and
- 13:20Speaker 4: more of these where you'll just take some injection every week, instantly, instantly,
- 13:25Speaker 4: solving your problem. Hey, you got to give credit to
- 13:29Speaker 4: Andrew Cuomo. Boy, this guy I admire the Hootz bothers guys.
- 13:34Speaker 4: This guy will say anything.
- 13:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 13:37Speaker 4: When he governed, one reason everybody hated him so much
- 13:41Speaker 4: after he left is that he was the most left
- 13:43Speaker 4: wing extremist governor we ever had in Albany. He's the
- 13:48Speaker 4: guy that gave us no bail, no jail. He's the
- 13:50Speaker 4: guy that shut Indian Point down. He's the guy that
- 13:54Speaker 4: emptied out the prisons, closed prisons. He's the guy that
- 13:57Speaker 4: totally changed the parole board, put on all these crazy
- 14:00Speaker 4: left wingers that let everybody out. They let out forty
- 14:03Speaker 4: three cop killers. I may go on and on the
- 14:06Speaker 4: craziest left wing stuff. The worst one he gave us
- 14:09Speaker 4: was the no bail, no jail. I mean that pretty
- 14:12Speaker 4: much caused the crime with But if you watch him
- 14:14Speaker 4: on an interview now, he'll actually say, you know, as
- 14:19Speaker 4: a moderate Democrat, you know these democrats are veryft. As
- 14:21Speaker 4: a moderate Democrat, he actually convinces himself of this. And
- 14:26Speaker 4: I guess if you say it enough times, maybe somebody
- 14:29Speaker 4: will believe you. But I'm looking at this yesterday, Joe
- 14:32Speaker 4: Biden there's Cuomo. He's going after Joe, the people that
- 14:37Speaker 4: covered up Joe Biden. He was totally incapable. Where was everyone?
- 14:42Speaker 4: Where was everyone? Where was the Democratic Party? Where was
- 14:45Speaker 4: the chief of staff? Why didn't they say anything? What
- 14:48Speaker 4: about you? You didn't say anything either for the whole
- 14:51Speaker 4: four years, and you were governor for a good chunk
- 14:53Speaker 4: of that. You were dealing with the Biden mistress. Where
- 14:56Speaker 4: the hell were you? You never said a word about it.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Now you got to give him credit for a nerve,
- 15:02Speaker 4: real nerve. I don't think he's totally delusional. I think
- 15:05Speaker 4: he's just good at the again, just pathological hoods. But
- 15:09Speaker 4: it's unbelievable. You know, the Democrats did that autopsy to
- 15:13Speaker 4: see what went wrong in twenty twenty four, what went
- 15:16Speaker 4: wrong in that election? Well they put out the detailed autopsy.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Everybody looking at it says they can't believe this autopsy.
- 15:23Speaker 4: It's the biggest joke ever. It never mentions Biden's mental state,
- 15:27Speaker 4: never says a word about it, Never said anything about
- 15:31Speaker 4: the choice of Tim Waltz, which was total disaster. Never
- 15:35Speaker 4: says anything about Kamala Harris and her bad debate performance,
- 15:39Speaker 4: her screwed up interviews where she doesn't know what she's
- 15:41Speaker 4: talking about. Never gets into her border czar where she
- 15:45Speaker 4: was the worst in the world. It puts the blame
- 15:49Speaker 4: on Biden allies for failing to rally enough votes. It
- 15:54Speaker 4: never gets into the selection process where they tossed Biden
- 15:58Speaker 4: out and appointed a camp date without the public being involved. Hey,
- 16:02Speaker 4: we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:05Speaker 4: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:09Speaker 4: one zero seven ten.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Give WR A bri said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 16:15Speaker 2: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instead.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simo show on WOR.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:29Speaker 4: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:32Speaker 4: one zero seven ten. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 16:35Speaker 4: how you doing.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well.
- 16:39Speaker 6: Thank you, Mark. According to a financial services company survey,
- 16:44Speaker 6: their report says nearly forty percent of Americans admit that
- 16:48Speaker 6: they have gone on a date to obtain a free meal,
- 16:51Speaker 6: and the cost is approximately ninety five dollars on the
- 16:56Speaker 6: first date. Now, lastly, Mark, if it was me, I
- 16:59Speaker 6: don't care. I would take them to Patsy's.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Well, Patsy's is a great restaurant, a very impressive place
- 17:08Speaker 4: for our first date. But there are women, I guess
- 17:11Speaker 4: that would go out just for the free meal. But
- 17:15Speaker 4: what are you gonna do? I mean, I don't blame them.
- 17:17Speaker 4: I mean I'm editing my jokes here. So but it's
- 17:23Speaker 4: a good point, Dave. Thanks for calling. If any woman
- 17:25Speaker 4: wants to call and admit to that. But it works
- 17:28Speaker 4: the other way. There are plenty of men who are
- 17:30Speaker 4: like Jiggilow's go out with some wealthy old woman just
- 17:33Speaker 4: for the free everything. Let's go to Robin Franklin Square. Rob.
- 17:39Speaker 3: How you doing good, Mark? Good morning, Yeah, Springstea. He's
- 17:43Speaker 3: always been he's always been political. You remember the forty
- 17:47Speaker 3: one shots with the with the unfortunate shooting of Amadel
- 17:51Speaker 3: Dil you know, you try to blast the local. It
- 17:53Speaker 3: was a tragic accident, you know, accidental shooting. But he's
- 17:58Speaker 3: always he's always been political. He jump on a bag
- 18:00Speaker 3: and vandwagon, thank the police and all that.
- 18:03Speaker 4: All right, thanks for calling. Yeah, there's a lot of singers.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Something's in the news. George Floyd, Yeah, yeah, George Floyd,
- 18:08Speaker 4: is you know you throw it in there for ten seconds.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Score political points with that. But when Springsteen yesterday went
- 18:14Speaker 4: into the six minute that's a long time, six minute
- 18:18Speaker 4: rant about Trump, it sounded like he really, really, really
- 18:23Speaker 4: really is nuts. I mean, he's not the brightest guy
- 18:25Speaker 4: in the world. You know, he can be a brilliant
- 18:26Speaker 4: musician and songwriter and not be that bright. You just
- 18:30Speaker 4: have I don't want to measure names, but some of
- 18:32Speaker 4: the greatest songwriters, they weren't the brightest guy. They just
- 18:35Speaker 4: had an incredible gift for writing music. Let's go to
- 18:39Speaker 4: doctor Bob, great surgeon in Long Island. Doctor Bob, how
- 18:42Speaker 4: you doing?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 18:44Speaker 1: Hi, Mark, I was looking enough to see Bruce Blakeman
- 18:48Speaker 1: in the memorial the parade at the Greednick Little Knick area.
- 18:51Speaker 1: He was fantastic with the crowd, presented very well, very
- 18:55Speaker 1: warm greeting somewhile from the people there. Swazi did not
- 18:59Speaker 1: get that reception, and there were no one else was
- 19:02Speaker 1: any Greek statue that was in that parade, which is.
- 19:07Speaker 4: I mean, he's not the worst Democrat, but Bruce Blakeman
- 19:09Speaker 4: has become quite a quite a powerful states quite a speaker.
- 19:13Speaker 1: He's the real deal. Also, we went to a golf
- 19:15Speaker 1: outing some of my friends that page, uh for Bruce
- 19:19Speaker 1: Blakeman and big turnout. He was terrific. He really the
- 19:23Speaker 1: whole package. She really is a great guy. And that's
- 19:26Speaker 1: great plans for the states.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yeah, perfect choice for governor. Everybody get out there, help
- 19:31Speaker 4: Bruce Blakeman become governor. And thanks for calling. And he'd
- 19:35Speaker 4: be he'd be great. Let's go to uh, Linda in
- 19:38Speaker 4: Long Island. Linda, how you doing?
- 19:41Speaker 1: Are you doing?
- 19:43Speaker 4: No?
- 19:43Speaker 2: No, no, it's time.
- 19:44Speaker 4: No wait, let me said, it's you. How are you?
- 19:49Speaker 1: It's been a while, Okay, you missed it.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you remember when Leslie Still.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Was written up about how she followed the politicians into
- 19:59Speaker 1: the men's Do you remember that?
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you too, Yeah, yeah, she's uh, oh my god,
- 20:06Speaker 1: it was a while back. I didn't know if you
- 20:07Speaker 1: remember it.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 4: She used to be with CBS News like a you know,
- 20:11Speaker 4: reporter on like the evening news. Well million years ago,
- 20:15Speaker 4: that's what she did. She was pretty nice back then.
- 20:17Speaker 4: And then she gets into sixty minutes and part of
- 20:20Speaker 4: it is they are crazy. Part of it is the
- 20:22Speaker 4: culture of fake news. You got to act great, Yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 4: you got to act crazier and crazier. All right, thanks
- 20:29Speaker 4: for calling you, But that's a lot of reporters. They
- 20:31Speaker 4: are the pushiest people in the world. You know, if
- 20:35Speaker 4: you go back a million years, it was always a
- 20:37Speaker 4: little slanted. Walter Cronkite, he was little to the left,
- 20:43Speaker 4: you know, slightly on the air on there, slightly to
- 20:46Speaker 4: the left on the air. Yeah, maybe sticking to the
- 20:48Speaker 4: adjective that sounded a little prejudicial, but he kept it
- 20:54Speaker 4: pretty straight. And I knew Walter Cronkite in real life.
- 20:56Speaker 4: In real life he was a very very liberal guy.
- 21:00Speaker 4: But you kept it quiet on the air. And then
- 21:02Speaker 4: everything changed. I guess with Dan Rather, he's like the
- 21:05Speaker 4: grandfather of today's fake news. Remember he faked that whole
- 21:09Speaker 4: Bush went a wall with the fake documents, with the
- 21:11Speaker 4: forged documents. CBS eventually fired him over that, and then
- 21:16Speaker 4: that kind of changed the whole game. And then when
- 21:18Speaker 4: Trump came along, they just said, we're taking the gloves off. Well, lie,
- 21:22Speaker 4: will make up anything. We'll claim there was Russian collusion.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Will make up any preposterous story and push it. Nobody
- 21:29Speaker 4: pushed that Russian collusion fake story more than Stephen Colbert.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Give him credit for that. Let's go to Joe in
- 21:36Speaker 4: Elmwood Park.
- 21:38Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Steve Moore and your last quurse.
- 21:44Speaker 7: We lost Budweiser and Newark.
- 21:47Speaker 2: We just lost after.
- 21:48Speaker 7: Seventy five years of the brewery, Budweiser, Anne haus A
- 21:52Speaker 7: Bush and Nowark and another thing. God bless Mark. Wayne Mullen. Yeah,
- 21:56Speaker 7: we got a million. He's doing a good job. We
- 21:59Speaker 7: got a million in illegals and New Jersey maybe more.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Well, yeah, he's getting out plenty of them rounded up.
- 22:05Speaker 4: And you start with the worst. You start with the rapists,
- 22:07Speaker 4: you start with the murderers, you start with the gang members,
- 22:10Speaker 4: you start with the drug dealers. You start with them
- 22:12Speaker 4: and get them in detention and then get them the
- 22:14Speaker 4: hell out of the country. It's an amazing thing. I
- 22:17Speaker 4: never thought you'd never lived to see politicians chase businesses
- 22:21Speaker 4: out of a state. From Budweiser at exon leaving New Jersey.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I mean, if you claim to love tax revenue, these
- 22:28Speaker 4: are the biggest payers of tax revenue. Why would you
- 22:31Speaker 4: chase them out? Besides paying more tax revenue, in fact,
- 22:34Speaker 4: they pay most of it. Most of the tax revenue
- 22:37Speaker 4: is paid by these businesses. Not only that they're the employers.
- 22:39Speaker 4: They create all the jobs, so it's absolutely crazy that
- 22:43Speaker 4: they chase them out of a state. Absolutely That's why
- 22:46Speaker 4: you get to give guys like Chuck Schumer credit. You know,
- 22:49Speaker 4: he's the opposite. You got a business, here's my shall number,
- 22:52Speaker 4: call me anytime you know anything, and in exchange for
- 22:55Speaker 4: massive donations, he takes care of every business. But today's
- 22:59Speaker 4: new demo. I just want you going. They want you
- 23:01Speaker 4: to close up, fire everybody and leave. Hey when we
- 23:04Speaker 4: come back. The very funny Jimmy Fayla, who's on WR
- 23:09Speaker 4: every night nine to midnight, great show every night. We'll
- 23:12Speaker 4: talk to him next on seven to ten WR.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It's more of Mark the Mark Simone Show on wor Well.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Jimmy Fayla, the great talk shows, great comedian. You know
- 23:25Speaker 4: he's on here and now on WR, very popular, doing
- 23:29Speaker 4: really well every night nine to midnight. You can listen
- 23:32Speaker 4: to him weeknights nine to midnight and make sure you
- 23:34Speaker 4: watch his Saturday night TV show. It's the best late
- 23:37Speaker 4: night show on TV, best monologue in television. It's every
- 23:40Speaker 4: Saturday night, ten o'clock, Fox News Channel. Jimmy Fayla, How
- 23:44Speaker 4: you doing.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I'm doing? Man? I just got back from Reno. Reno.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Yeah, he also tourist the country doing a great comedy.
- 23:53Speaker 4: What is it like in Reno.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Well, listen, man, my mom is seventy five. She's never
- 24:00Speaker 2: had mess so you know, you gotta you gotta check
- 24:03Speaker 2: these items off the bucket list while you can. You know,
- 24:06Speaker 2: she was no, she had a good time. We did it.
- 24:08Speaker 2: We did a show. We lost a little money gambling,
- 24:11Speaker 2: but we didn't lose so much that we wound up
- 24:13Speaker 2: working at the Bunny Ranch. So it was a winning trip.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Uh is that where Michael Corleon? No, No, he was
- 24:18Speaker 4: in Lake Tahoe.
- 24:19Speaker 2: This is Reno. Yes, Tahoe. We drove through there too.
- 24:22Speaker 2: That's really nice. Really uh oh yeah, Tahoe's real nice.
- 24:27Speaker 2: It's not far from Reno. Just a lot of mountain
- 24:30Speaker 2: roads and you know, you gotta want it because those
- 24:33Speaker 2: roads are not your friend. A lot of like windy
- 24:36Speaker 2: turney curvy roads. But we you know, it's like driving
- 24:39Speaker 2: with Tiger Woods. It's not a sudden swerve.
- 24:43Speaker 4: So yeah, Reno had it work. Never caught up with
- 24:45Speaker 4: Vegas though they never really took off the same way.
- 24:48Speaker 4: It's a different Reno.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Never caught up with Atlantic City. You know, but it's
- 24:54Speaker 2: having a nice time. They're having a they have a
- 24:55Speaker 2: good time.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Hey, Jimmy Faylor, let's talk about it. The crazy Joe Biden.
- 25:02Speaker 4: What a liar this woman is.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a she's an actual sociopath. Because the
- 25:09Speaker 2: thing is, you know, she's trying to sell books and
- 25:12Speaker 2: she thinks this is the juicy SoundBite. Oh my god,
- 25:15Speaker 2: I thought he had a stroke. But she's so used
- 25:18Speaker 2: to getting favorable coverage from the media that she's never
- 25:21Speaker 2: pondered like the pushback on something like this. Meaning, if
- 25:24Speaker 2: you thought he had a stroke, why did you bring
- 25:27Speaker 2: him to a rally after that debate? Chant four more
- 25:31Speaker 2: years and talked to him like an infant? Do you remember,
- 25:34Speaker 2: she goes, Joe, you did it, You answered all the
- 25:37Speaker 2: questions and started a four more years. So you think
- 25:39Speaker 2: your husband had a stroke and the only thing you're
- 25:42Speaker 2: doing is signing him up for four more years of work.
- 25:44Speaker 1: You're not a.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Spouse, you know. Well, she's a dirt bag. She liked
- 25:49Speaker 2: being on Air Force one obviously, and you know she
- 25:53Speaker 2: liked the media really adored her because she was a
- 25:55Speaker 2: liberal first lady. I mean, you think about the disparity
- 25:58Speaker 2: in coverage. Bill Biden was on the cover of every
- 26:01Speaker 2: fashion magazine there is. Okay, Malania Trump gets no magazines.
- 26:06Speaker 2: She speaks, he's a supermodel. She speaks five languages. Okay,
- 26:10Speaker 2: Jill speaks two languages, English and Joe. You know. So
- 26:15Speaker 2: the idea that you know, she got drunk on all
- 26:17Speaker 2: of this power, and that's why she was trying to
- 26:20Speaker 2: still show for him, like he wasn't run in the
- 26:22Speaker 2: country for four year. You know that. I know that.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know, the stroke thing, that's a brilliant
- 26:27Speaker 4: lie because if you don't say that, because by saying that,
- 26:31Speaker 4: you make it sound like, oh, it's so unusual to
- 26:33Speaker 4: see him screw up like that. It was so different
- 26:35Speaker 4: that that's why he thought it was a stroke, because
- 26:37Speaker 4: it's not like the normal Joe. That way helps the
- 26:40Speaker 4: cover up, doesn't it.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, one hundred percent. I mean that's the angle
- 26:44Speaker 2: here is she's trying to say with a straight face,
- 26:46Speaker 2: that was the only time I saw him like that.
- 26:49Speaker 2: The only problem again is we have video of him
- 26:52Speaker 2: talking to dead people. We have video of him wandering
- 26:56Speaker 2: off at the G twenty, remember the summits with her.
- 27:00Speaker 2: President had to go get him. We have video of
- 27:02Speaker 2: him shaking hands with invisible people. And he also happens
- 27:06Speaker 2: to be the only president who made the sign language
- 27:08Speaker 2: interpreter shrug. So very hard to make a case for
- 27:13Speaker 2: someone being around him every day and not knowing things
- 27:16Speaker 2: were a little off.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Yeah, Hey, President Trump is a big fan of yours.
- 27:20Speaker 4: He watches the Saturday night TV show. He loves that show.
- 27:23Speaker 4: He's tweeted about it, said so, and he's coming to
- 27:27Speaker 4: He's gonna actually see the Knicks. He'll be a first
- 27:29Speaker 4: president ever to see an NBA playoff. That's pretty good,
- 27:32Speaker 4: isn't he.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I'm pumped up. And he was obviously a big fixture
- 27:36Speaker 2: at the Garden when he lived here. He went to
- 27:38Speaker 2: a lot of those games. Everybody remembers that, you know,
- 27:40Speaker 2: the videos of the playoffs in the nineties. But I
- 27:43Speaker 2: love the huocal things so much because the Kathy Hulkel
- 27:46Speaker 2: Blunder of you know, I would challenge him the name
- 27:49Speaker 2: the roster of the nineteen ninety three championship team. Do
- 27:52Speaker 2: you know what the Knicks were doing in nineteen ninety three,
- 27:54Speaker 2: Mark Heroin. They were hanging out at the Viper Club.
- 27:57Speaker 2: They were shooting drugs with Xaviery whoever was on the team.
- 28:02Speaker 2: You know, I'm being silly, but the point is they
- 28:03Speaker 2: were out of control ninety four they went okay, and
- 28:07Speaker 2: they had a shot against the Rockets, as we all
- 28:08Speaker 2: famously remember, and Trump was there for that. Kathy hokl is,
- 28:13Speaker 2: you know, her claying the fame and you know this,
- 28:15Speaker 2: she's only governor because she was the one woman in
- 28:18Speaker 2: Albany who was too annoying for Cuomo to hit on. Okay,
- 28:23Speaker 2: if she was a little easier to deal with socially,
- 28:26Speaker 2: she would have been on that me too list, Okay,
- 28:29Speaker 2: because you know she's just a nut. And she was
- 28:31Speaker 2: the one who said do you remember when she said
- 28:33Speaker 2: black kids from the Bronx don't know what a computer is? Yes, like,
- 28:37Speaker 2: can you? I'm assuming one of those kids was in
- 28:40Speaker 2: charge of her basketball research, because how the hell else
- 28:43Speaker 2: could you get up there and talk about a championship
- 28:46Speaker 2: in your town that wasn't one. That's crazy? Yeah, she does.
- 28:51Speaker 4: She look like one of those annoying, like upstate suburban
- 28:53Speaker 4: real estate agents.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Does she her man and the worst, just the worst kind.
- 29:03Speaker 2: And it's hard to it's hard for me to watch
- 29:05Speaker 2: her for any length of time because she does a
- 29:07Speaker 2: lot of contrived things like that line was a contrived thing.
- 29:12Speaker 2: And afterwards her Twitter account tweeted she knew they didn't
- 29:16Speaker 2: win a championship. She was trying to bait Trump into
- 29:19Speaker 2: thinking they did four d chefs. That's what they tweeted,
- 29:23Speaker 2: And I was like, dude, just take the loss and
- 29:26Speaker 2: make the story go away. That was worse than the
- 29:29Speaker 2: original lot.
- 29:30Speaker 4: You know, hey, Colbert is gone. I've been watching the
- 29:34Speaker 4: Byron Allen's show that replaced it. It's kind of like yours. It's,
- 29:37Speaker 4: you know, four funny people talking.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's silly, but the challenge the Comics Unleashed is
- 29:44Speaker 2: it's comedians. They're doing pre planned bits, so it's funny,
- 29:48Speaker 2: but we're they're doing bits from their act. So it's like,
- 29:51Speaker 2: let's say me and you were on a show and
- 29:54Speaker 2: you have a joke about riding the subway. I have
- 29:56Speaker 2: a joke about going to the gym. Okay, Byron looks
- 29:59Speaker 2: at you and now, Mark, how do you get to
- 30:02Speaker 2: work every day? And you do your joke about the subway,
- 30:05Speaker 2: and then he turns to me and goes, well, Jimmy,
- 30:08Speaker 2: maybe you wouldn't need that gym membership. You were talking
- 30:10Speaker 2: about backstage. If you travel the way Mark does, then
- 30:13Speaker 2: that's like you to do the subway bit. So the
- 30:15Speaker 2: whole thing is contrived in fake and people usually like
- 30:19Speaker 2: it at first because it is funny, it's comics doing
- 30:21Speaker 2: good bits from their act. But once you see how
- 30:24Speaker 2: contrived it is, it's kind of hard to unsee. That.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Being said, it's about eighty million dollars a year cheaper
- 30:30Speaker 2: than Colbert, so it's going to be around for a
- 30:32Speaker 2: little while.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so you know your Saturday night show. It's very good,
- 30:37Speaker 4: it's right, but the monologue is the best monologue in TV.
- 30:40Speaker 4: It's the only thing like it, like Carson, like Leno
- 30:43Speaker 4: where you make fun of both sides. It's just genuinely funny.
- 30:46Speaker 4: It's not angry partisan, and it's doing very well. So
- 30:52Speaker 4: you think any network will figure out if this is
- 30:54Speaker 4: what we need, just fun and fun.
- 30:57Speaker 2: It's hot. You know what the challenge is something like
- 30:59Speaker 2: that is you need First of all, you need to
- 31:02Speaker 2: be able to do that, and most of these guys
- 31:05Speaker 2: who wanted to post in late night shows don't really
- 31:07Speaker 2: have a background in stand up, you know what I mean,
- 31:10Speaker 2: Like Cobert couldn't do this if you wanted to because
- 31:12Speaker 2: he's not he's going to stand a background, you know,
- 31:14Speaker 2: Like even Gutfeld's kind of like a monologue guy, you know,
- 31:17Speaker 2: where he sits in his chair and writes his monologues.
- 31:19Speaker 2: He doesn't really have a background, so he shows a
- 31:21Speaker 2: little more to the right. But like you actually, first
- 31:24Speaker 2: of all, have to be able to do it, which
- 31:25Speaker 2: not a lot of people can. But second of all,
- 31:27Speaker 2: the real challenge for these networks is, you know, they've
- 31:31Speaker 2: been driving home this narrative that everybody over here at
- 31:34Speaker 2: Fox is just sitting around in maga hats punching liberal
- 31:37Speaker 2: babies all day. So it's hard to justify the reality
- 31:41Speaker 2: that were actually decent people. And we do talk to
- 31:44Speaker 2: both sides because they've been force feeding the audience this
- 31:48Speaker 2: narrative that we don't like. They think we're a right
- 31:50Speaker 2: winged tack machine. Yet half our audience wants to shoot
- 31:54Speaker 2: the TV because of how many liberals we have on. Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 2: you know, think of all the heat Jessica Tarloff gets
- 31:59Speaker 2: because he's a real liberal and we let her, We
- 32:01Speaker 2: let her express liberal views that our audience might not
- 32:04Speaker 2: agree with. Whereas when you throw on an MSNBC the
- 32:07Speaker 2: Republican on MSNBC is like a chicken that works at
- 32:10Speaker 2: pop up. You know, he ain't looking out for chicken, okay,
- 32:14Speaker 2: And that's the reality of MSNBC. Joe Scarborough is supposedly
- 32:18Speaker 2: the Republican on that channel. Are you anyone gonna tell
- 32:20Speaker 2: me with a straight face that he's out espousing Republican viewpoints?
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's bananas?
- 32:25Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, Also you do I think the longest monologue
- 32:29Speaker 4: in TV is like twenty something minutes flaw Yeah Colbert
- 32:32Speaker 4: did like Colbert did four minutes and he had twenty
- 32:35Speaker 4: two writers, So how do you do it everything for twenty.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Two writers four minutes? And the joke is always Trump?
- 32:43Speaker 2: I mean the truth is what helps me for real
- 32:45Speaker 2: is being on radio nine to midnight. Here on w
- 32:48Speaker 2: r you are covering the news cycle for three hours
- 32:51Speaker 2: a night, so it's kind of all in your head
- 32:53Speaker 2: by the time you sit down to write a TV show.
- 32:56Speaker 2: So for me, I don't find it to be particularly hard.
- 32:59Speaker 2: It's just figuring out how to package the things they
- 33:03Speaker 2: need to say. It's not, you know, because I'm not
- 33:05Speaker 2: doing news. You're doing comedy. So the comedy might be
- 33:08Speaker 2: about the news, but you've got to figure out which
- 33:11Speaker 2: news really lends itself to the surrounding stories. You know,
- 33:15Speaker 2: that's where there's always some kind of a through line,
- 33:18Speaker 2: and that'll definitely be tomorrow. That'll definitely be a lot
- 33:21Speaker 2: of what I'm doing. Like Saturday Night is this week
- 33:23Speaker 2: had a lot of craziness, Like the vegan senator in
- 33:26Speaker 2: Texas who thinks God is a woman. Yeah, okay, that's
- 33:29Speaker 2: a crazy week. Okay, the electric Ferrari that has a fit.
- 33:34Speaker 2: You know that the electric Ferrari has an actual motor noise,
- 33:37Speaker 2: Like they have a fake motor noise on it, Like
- 33:39Speaker 2: you put a quarter in it outside of supermarket, Okay,
- 33:43Speaker 2: like it's bananas. So there's a lot of things. You
- 33:46Speaker 2: basically find things that are worthy of our mockery that
- 33:49Speaker 2: the audience watched this week, and you just let it rip.
- 33:52Speaker 2: And that's that's what we'll be doing. I'm ready. I
- 33:54Speaker 2: can't wait.
