- 0:33Hamster with a blunt. Pen knife for doing quicker.
- 0:37Welcome back to a Hamster with a blunt Pen Knife, the Doctor Who
- 0:41Commentary podcast, Joe Ford. You say, well, you just watch
- 0:45your step. So that's a very bad impression
- 0:49of of Donald Bruce, who's just turned up at the end of episode
- 0:521 of of what are we enemy of the world and kept me brain in gear
- 1:00night. Come on.
- 1:01So I'm I'm sat here with Joe and Lucy and Dave and we're watching
- 1:06this wonderful recovered. I was going to say recently
- 1:11recovered, but it's 10 years ago.
- 1:13Goodness, over 10 years ago now. Time flies.
- 1:18Yeah, puts teeth in and back out.
- 1:21So, and I think we're, I think we're all enjoying it and
- 1:25certainly it's, it's, it's caused a great deal of
- 1:29discussion and, and so far we've had one, one attempt at the, at
- 1:35the salamander accent. So I thought I'd I thought I'd
- 1:39just try and do something different and.
- 1:41I'm just so happy. To have this very bad.
- 1:43Personal details on all three of you here in my dossier.
- 1:46And you know why? This is just a form of
- 1:49comprehensive insurance. There's nothing for you to worry
- 1:53about, my dear young man. I said I would support you.
- 1:58Young man, I think he's talking to you, Dave.
- 2:00He's. Certainly not talking to Lucy.
- 2:03What? Are you doing here Bros?
- 2:04Huh. Oh, that was great.
- 2:08Who did that one, Dave? Oh, that was.
- 2:11Great, Dave. Someone do the moon line?
- 2:15The what line? You know, you try, you fail.
- 2:18So the moon doesn't fall out of the sky.
- 2:21Sit down, have a drink. Oh, what is he?
- 2:24I don't think we're going to be able to beat yours.
- 2:27All right. Thank you.
- 2:28You've, I think you've called it the market.
- 2:30I don't. Worry about it.
- 2:32Any great surprise on a hamster with a blood pen knife?
- 2:34I'm the biggest ham of all. Is it?
- 2:38Why did I ever leave Woollamaloo?
- 2:40Oh, I love that fella. As well.
- 2:44Well, should we go into Episode 2 and see what it's all about?
- 2:47Yeah, I forgot. I totally lost track at the end
- 2:50of Episode 1 because we're having such an interesting
- 2:52discussion, but I'm sure we'll pick up the pace.
- 2:55Yes. Well, Bruce?
- 2:56Has arrived, and just at the just in the nick of time,
- 3:01salamander in inverted commas has arrived.
- 3:03The first of our many reversals of who's who.
- 3:06Absolutely yes. And Victoria has actually has
- 3:09actually told Bruce not to shout at her, so she's already showing
- 3:14a little more nerve than she generally does.
- 3:17And he's written a very fetch and pulling it.
- 3:19Absolutely. Well, it was 2018, apparently.
- 3:25Well, someone count us in then. From five or three.
- 3:30Whatever. You want to do do it in
- 3:32salamander though please. 54321. I hope that wasn't the accidents
- 3:41you were doing in your place. Oh God no.
- 3:44Didn't Deborah Watling ask him? Is he really Welsh?
- 3:50Oh. They were a bit naughty with
- 3:53each other. I don't mean that in a kinky
- 3:55way. I mean.
- 3:56They were. No, they were.
- 3:57They were having. I remember Fraser Heinz saying
- 4:00about how when they were doing evil of the Daleks and what a
- 4:06great sport Mario scoring was because he was joy.
- 4:09He's, you know, he's a massive * huge * and he was really joining
- 4:14in with, with all the goof goofing off that was going on as
- 4:18well. What about Sony Coldenaz?
- 4:20He sounded like a right who? What the bloody hell am I going
- 4:23to do with this Ice Warrior costume?
- 4:26Yeah, he sounded everybody. Everybody seemed to really like
- 4:29him, that they just everybody got him with him, right?
- 4:33Donald Bruce, the actor who's. Yeah, Colin Douglas, you will.
- 4:37He's also Reuben in horror. Fang Rock.
- 4:40Yes, he is. He's, I mean, for the for the
- 4:43time, he was quite a big, big name.
- 4:47I found out reading about he didn't.
- 4:49Enjoyed us at all, did he? No, I don't.
- 4:51Like it? No, I was reading he's, he's in,
- 4:56if you remember the early in the early 90s, Alan Blasdell did a
- 5:02drama called GBH starring Robert Lindsay and Michael Palin and
- 5:08Michael Palin did some scenes with Colin Douglas in that.
- 5:11And he's, he was sort of in his late 70s.
- 5:14He died not long after, sadly. And he had a had a lot of sort
- 5:19of doubt about learning the lines.
- 5:21And he was sort of towards the end of his career.
- 5:24And I think his wife had died not so long before that.
- 5:29But no, he was, I mean, he was in a big drama sort of late
- 5:32around this tunnel, maybe in the the early 70s called a family at
- 5:36war. And that's the thing about this
- 5:40season in particular. You've got very big names.
- 5:43You've got Victor Marvin, you've got Peter Barkworth, Peter
- 5:45Salas, Bill Kerr, who we've mentioned and and Colin Douglas
- 5:52as well. So it's not just JNT who was,
- 5:56you know, good at getting big names.
- 5:59Marius Goring, who you'd also. Yeah, very big, very big star
- 6:04Ronald Ronald Allen in the Dominators.
- 6:10You're saying that he's in horror fan rock?
- 6:12I mean, this just goes to show you what good character actors
- 6:16Doctor Who attracted because they don't seem at all the same
- 6:20person to me. No.
- 6:23Not at all. No, but then look at Patrick
- 6:25Trout now in that costume with his hair in disarray, how he was
- 6:28playing salamander. You know, they're just masters
- 6:32of their craft. I mean Patrick Toten and the
- 6:35likes of I forgot the name of it now, Clash of the Titans is it?
- 6:40He was in and and the Omen and. Oh, Sinbad, Sinbad in the eye of
- 6:45the tiger he was. Nothing like his Doctor Who.
- 6:48That fabulous old man in box of delights.
- 6:52If you and he's in the very first episode of Inspector Morse
- 6:56and you you watch that and he is nothing like the second doctor.
- 7:00You you are. I was creeped out by by watching
- 7:04him as that he was a really sort of CD sort of Peeping Tom, you
- 7:11know, light years away from. Oh yeah.
- 7:14Absolutely. Yeah.
- 7:15No, I can't watch that in the The Dead of Jericho.
- 7:18The first episode of Morse had an amazing cast.
- 7:20James Lawrenson is fantastic as well.
- 7:25Yeah. Absolutely.
- 7:25I'm still trying to get over the first episode of Jonathan Creek,
- 7:29which had Colin Baker in the very first scene on the phone
- 7:31saying to a woman, come over here and make me bark like a
- 7:34dog. I was like, oh God.
- 7:37And he's got a ponytail as well. Actually, Paul McGann was in
- 7:45Inspector Morse with a ponytail, wasn't he?
- 7:48Because that was. The whole point.
- 7:51The whole point of that episode. Was that somebody was somebody
- 7:55was killed because they were seen through a blind with a
- 7:58ponytail and it was the wrong person?
- 8:01I think. So the doctor is now starting to
- 8:06suspect, I think. No, we're in Poland next now.
- 8:12Polonix Polonix was the thing in. 2018 actually it.
- 8:15Does. Yeah.
- 8:17Well. Also again it's it's.
- 8:19It's different to his collar and tie, so that's different as
- 8:24well. He does really good establishing
- 8:26shots of all the locations as well, doesn't he?
- 8:29This is Jonas. Klaxon.
- 8:32Oh, he's terrifying. Fantastic one, completely
- 8:35different. Yeah, he he cornered the Marcus
- 8:38in playing sort of very seedy, slightly camp characters.
- 8:42I mean, he's in the Android Invasion and the Invasion of
- 8:46Time as well, isn't he? I like him in the Android
- 8:49invasion he's. Yeah, I, I, I he doesn't give a
- 8:52bad performance in anything I've seen him in.
- 8:55He's in an episode of The Good Life as well.
- 8:58He's the, the guy who sells Tom good, the the loom.
- 9:03It's nothing like this, Nothing like this.
- 9:05Or indeed any of his other characters in Doctor Who.
- 9:07It's just one of those sort of character actors that you
- 9:11jobbing actors that come in and do a job and they're known by
- 9:15their their faces are known, but their names aren't necessarily
- 9:18well known. Dave, how do you how do you find
- 9:21him in this then, Dave? I think this is the best
- 9:24performance. He goes and doctors who I I
- 9:26personally think it's it's just so wonderfully sadistic.
- 9:32It's brilliant. I mean, in the next episode,
- 9:34which we'll get to obviously when he smashes the thing and
- 9:37the Cutler, the the cuddly, the the plates and then just sort of
- 9:41goes, well, you're not going to I wouldn't tell anyone about if
- 9:44I were you. And he's a big camp, isn't he,
- 9:47you? Know yeah, I think that's what
- 9:48he's all over. But he has a line, doesn't he,
- 9:53about. But I had a very enjoyable
- 9:55childhood, and you just know everything you need to know
- 9:58about this guy. You know, he was probably there
- 10:00torturing the cats and the dogs. I was going to say torturing
- 10:03small animals, probably faking in it.
- 10:05Definitely he's one. Of and there's a scene with him
- 10:09with Jamie and Victoria, which is really quite uncomfortable,
- 10:12where he's suggesting he's going to do pretty horrible things to
- 10:16her if Jamie doesn't do as he's told.
- 10:18But a part like that is an absolute gift for an actor that
- 10:22just because he can be nasty. Have you played a sadistic creep
- 10:27then, Dave? I've played a son that he
- 10:34strangled his wife twice in a play and stole from his mum and
- 10:38that was one of the first big bigger parts I did.
- 10:42I was lucky to get the part. You're so lovely.
- 10:45I mean, I'm sure you pulled it off just because of how I know
- 10:49you. I can't imagine you being this
- 10:50horrible strangler. And then a couple of years later
- 10:53I was able to play in Paris and the Crucible, who's just a nasty
- 10:58piece of work as well. That was great.
- 11:00That was hard to do because I I came off the stage every night
- 11:03and I was completely embarrassed because he was just so intense.
- 11:08And he had to scream at the end and go no and all that because
- 11:13he's what all crumbles down. But yeah, it's it's, it's like
- 11:16the best parts to play every ITC in the documentary.
- 11:20Says it's. Absolutely true.
- 11:21Yeah, it's absolutely true, because you get to do nasty
- 11:25things that you wouldn't normally do.
- 11:26You wouldn't have guns in your hand, and that normally would
- 11:29you? It's no.
- 11:30And. Here is they do say villains are
- 11:33the night. The actors who play villains are
- 11:35the nicest people. Roger Delgado again.
- 11:40Absolutely. Yeah.
- 11:42Oh, so we've got Controller Dennis here, who I really like.
- 11:48Yeah, George. Pravda, Pravda.
- 11:50Yeah, he's really good. Oh yeah, of course he's in
- 11:53Deadly Assassin, isn't he? Assassin, yeah.
- 11:55And everything. Else.
- 11:59Marshall, I will not let you. He's great.
- 12:03Isn't he? Oh, Faria.
- 12:06Oh, she's fantastic. She's brilliant.
- 12:08Let's do a round Robin on Faria Lucy.
- 12:11I think she's great. I love that there is a character
- 12:14who has agency and is doing her own.
- 12:18She's doing her own thing. She's not going to.
- 12:21She might get into a sort of uneasy alliance with Jamie and
- 12:25Victoria, possibly, but she doesn't trust anybody with good
- 12:28reason. And she's prepared to take the
- 12:35to be disparaged for working for Salamander in order to get to
- 12:38him and get her revenge. And yeah, I think she's really
- 12:44as as a sort of side character who potentially couldn't have
- 12:47had as much power and effect as she does.
- 12:49I think she does. She managed.
- 12:51She's obviously a really good actress and makes the most of
- 12:55the part. She's Desmond's wife in
- 12:58Desmond's. Do you remember that?
- 12:59Really. Yeah, she was.
- 13:01She watched that. Fabulous.
- 13:02Carmen's the Carmen Silvera. Is that her?
- 13:04Name No. That's not Carmen Silvera.
- 13:06What's her name? It's Carmen something.
- 13:09Thank you, Daniel. What do you think of Thoria
- 13:11then? I think she's fantastic.
- 13:14I think it's brilliant to have an actress of colour in this
- 13:17part of the, in this era of Doctor Who where not only, you
- 13:23know, not only as a speaking part was actually a very strong
- 13:26character. She is in a way a victim, but
- 13:30she's a victim of circumstance rather than sort of like
- 13:33defenses. She's quite a hard, hard
- 13:35character. And I think, I think Carrie,
- 13:38Carmen Monroe plays that really, really well.
- 13:42You know, she's, she's got a toughness, but she's also got a
- 13:46sort of sympathy and she's quite independent and she's quite
- 13:51knowing as well because she sort of runs rings around Federer in
- 13:56a little bit. Sort of, you know, he sort of
- 13:58doesn't quite understand what she's she's talking about.
- 14:02So she's really, she's very intelligent.
- 14:05She's not. She's a servant, but she's not,
- 14:08you know, she's not there just to be decoration, I think.
- 14:11Yeah. I mean, Carmen Monroe still with
- 14:14us, I believe. I I remember.
- 14:16I think she also did play school or did some children's show.
- 14:20I remember I was going to. Say her name sounded familiar
- 14:22and it must have been from something like that.
- 14:23Or play away maybe? Yeah.
- 14:25But she, yeah, Desmond's is, I think the thing that she was
- 14:28famous for. I think she did something in the
- 14:3070s with Lenny Henry as well. The Fosters.
- 14:36She's got real presence, doesn't she Like real personality?
- 14:39Beautiful, beautiful woman. I mean, she must be sort of, you
- 14:43know, sort of 20s, you know, during this.
- 14:48What do you think then, Dave? I think she's fabulous.
- 14:50Well, I mean the when she dies in a couple episodes of time,
- 14:56you really, really feel. Well, expecting isn't.
- 14:58It and yeah I mean and it hands it Benic as well, but it's great
- 15:02how she doesn't given to him as we were saying like she she
- 15:06basically says I'm not telling you anything you can kill me if.
- 15:09You want she basically says go to hell, doesn't she?
- 15:11Even though she knows she's dying, the.
- 15:13Suspect is lovely this but with Federan like Daniel said about
- 15:17how she just goes oh you never means I never.
- 15:19I never had time to check out so thanks for checking it for me.
- 15:22She has one line, you know, which I always keep in the back
- 15:26of my head. Sometimes we do what we have to
- 15:28do, not what we want to do. Yeah, it's a great line.
- 15:33And that's what she's prepared to do.
- 15:34She's talked herself into doing what she hates, to be around a
- 15:39man she absolutely loathes in order to get her revenge.
- 15:43Yes, she is. She's.
- 15:44Still like. 91. Wow.
- 15:49It's torture, isn't it, Dave I? Mean, I had a teacher at school
- 15:53like that, but no, it's just come on.
- 15:59Just go forward. Something who's luckily
- 16:01challenged themselves. I'm just thinking he's he's
- 16:03playing a losing game now. I think there's a really
- 16:08interesting line given to Salamander as well, where he
- 16:12goes she was hungry and he really he really enjoys her
- 16:16discomfort because he knows that she hates him and he's still
- 16:21controlling her You. Just used an interesting.
- 16:23Relationship. But yeah, I did.
- 16:25Yeah, I did. But it it, it reminds me a bit
- 16:29of the relationship between the Master and Lucy in Sound of
- 16:34Drums. It's that sort of he's really
- 16:36enjoying really making her life hell.
- 16:41It's it's quite uncomfortable, but it's it's it's unusually
- 16:45interesting. But Doctor Who that.
- 16:49She was. There it is.
- 16:50Yeah, only is. Only thing is now she has all
- 16:53the food she needs. Give me a drink.
- 16:56It's just, it's just done. He's loving playing this, isn't
- 17:00he? I mean, he's just.
- 17:04I do like these sets as well. I think it's a good well mounted
- 17:07production this, but you've got they're obviously doing a
- 17:12perspective shot there with the. But it's it's still giving the
- 17:17effect of indoors and outdoors. So you're still seeing through
- 17:20Windows and you're still trying to sort of stretch the scene a
- 17:24bit. Yeah, it was like earlier you
- 17:26had the cyclorama when they were sitting on the bench.
- 17:30That gun is a bit dramatic, isn't it?
- 17:33It's the future. All guns will be dramatic in the
- 17:35future. Apparently actually.
- 17:36That bulb did look like it went off at a distance, didn't it?
- 17:40Yeah, it's a it's back projection, isn't it, that bit
- 17:44Barry let's, you know, sort of thinking, thinking ahead and
- 17:47then. I mean, Jamie, I think is really
- 17:51brief here. I mean, this could have easily
- 17:53went wrong, but he he says, you know, well your security is
- 17:56drought enough and he could have easily just got killed by
- 17:59saying, but he's just. I'll tell you something, he's
- 18:03very pretty when he's in that black lever.
- 18:06Yes. Was it the?
- 18:08Costume. Designers and.
- 18:10Wet suits and black. I bet when the when the extras
- 18:13turned up they're like oh God again.
- 18:15No, Lucy, they were thinking of us.
- 18:17They were thinking of us. No, these things chafe.
- 18:22Dan, do you talk from experience?
- 18:25I've worn a wet suit before. Oh, really?
- 18:29We'll talk about Mike. I know there are no pictures.
- 18:34OK, it didn't happen then. All right.
- 18:38But I, yeah, I like that Jamie is now he's he's on his own now,
- 18:44but he he's obviously been coached what to say.
- 18:48But he's he's with the conversation.
- 18:51He's he's rolling with the conversation and he knows he's
- 18:53giving the right answers and yeah, and being convincing.
- 18:57Something happened. I was talking about this the
- 18:58other day when I covered season 6 and Strictly.
- 19:00Something happens to Jamie when Victoria leaves and Zoe comes in
- 19:05and Doug got. I love the dynamic, it's playful
- 19:07and fun and their chemistry is amazing, but suddenly Jamie is a
- 19:11bit dumb. Because the scripts.
- 19:15Play down to that quite a lot, whereas there's none of that
- 19:18here, though like you said, he's got a lot of agency here.
- 19:21No, because he's having to look after Victoria throughout the
- 19:24whole season. Anything to stop her wailing,
- 19:28Dave? Yeah.
- 19:31Yeah, but but also he's this is like you saying when you were
- 19:34talking about the Dominators with Fraser.
- 19:37I think about this place to his strengths because this is what
- 19:40he does. He's a he's a soldier.
- 19:43So he knows, OK, the weapons aren't for the weapons aren't
- 19:47familiar to him. But he's he's he's not daft,
- 19:50he's cunning. He may not know what a
- 19:52helicopter is, but he's not. He's not dim.
- 19:55And here he comes. It does show that.
- 19:56Yeah, it does show that. Projection is incredible.
- 20:02Sorry, Daniel. I said it does show that an, an
- 20:05historical companion can work. And he just, he's sort of
- 20:11similar to Leela. He's not educated, but he's not
- 20:14stupid. So he, and you know, he's got
- 20:17that instinct as a fighter, as a, as a, as a, not necessarily,
- 20:21you know, soldier or sort of like a warrior, you know, that
- 20:25he's got that instinct to survive and that instinct to
- 20:28know who to trust and who not to trust.
- 20:31But they knew exactly what they were doing with him as well.
- 20:34He's got that sort of Beatles cart.
- 20:36He's cute as hell. Fraser Hines is so charming.
- 20:39Like I can imagine the demographic opening out to
- 20:42Doctor Who having a companion like Fraser Hines in the show.
- 20:46And again, it's David Whittaker, who if you look at evil of the
- 20:49Daleks, that's one of the that's one of the the most well written
- 20:53that Jamie ever is. You know that scene?
- 20:55Argument. Yeah, absolutely.
- 20:58And that's, that gives Fraser Heinz some really good material,
- 21:01not just the argument, but pretty much all the way through.
- 21:05And look at that smile. He's such a cheeky so and so as
- 21:08well, isn't he? Oh, you can definitely see my
- 21:11women fall from. Not just the women die.
- 21:14Not just the women. No, you know, it's.
- 21:17Oh, there's there's. There's a bomb again.
- 21:19There's a lot of crawling under this jetty, isn't there?
- 21:23Isn't this used Yeti? Yes.
- 21:25Isn't that the one where where it leads to the underground
- 21:27base? Doesn't it You go down a tunnel?
- 21:29I'm. Not sure if it's there.
- 21:32No, I don't think it is, no. Oh, man, I can't wait till we
- 21:36get to those biz. You've got those two fabulous
- 21:38ones down there. They're merry Salamander.
- 21:41Take me with you. Why didn't you take me?
- 21:46Yeah, they're, they're a bit of a dull bunch, but we'll get to
- 21:49them, see. This is nothing you got, you
- 21:52got. Dennis is in a bit of an
- 21:53impossible situation, in a position of power, but he's
- 21:55basically a Patsy and Salamander's trying to control
- 21:58him and he won't have it because he won't do what he's told.
- 22:00He's frames. The trouble with it is we watch
- 22:05episode 3 but without any of the context of episode 2.
- 22:09Don't understand why it was all important.
- 22:12You have to watch it as it goes along.
- 22:16But he's very charming as well. I love the bit in three where
- 22:18Victoria's like, can I sit down? And he goes, Oh yes, you know,
- 22:21I'd be very pleased with your company.
- 22:24How? How would you expect me to have
- 22:26a steak with a spoon? Yeah, yeah.
- 22:30A book on foreign travel, perhaps?
- 22:35I don't know where in the world you're off to.
- 22:38Do you know Clacton? Oh, she is average.
- 22:48The Bond girl. Look her with that gun.
- 22:51She's just fab. Or an adventure like you say it.
- 22:54You can. Oh.
- 22:55Absolutely. Yeah, it was.
- 22:56It was. She was up for the part of of
- 22:59Tara King and it was that it was her and an actress called Tracy
- 23:02Reed and and Linda Thorsten. The lies assure you I like the
- 23:08guy. This guy's actually as well.
- 23:10Sorry for talk, but actually it's this veteran.
- 23:13Are we such a weasel? Wouldn't he?
- 23:15Oh. Yeah, it's this lies that would
- 23:18damage me. You found out things about me.
- 23:25Just an insurance. Down.
- 23:27Forget it permanently. This is my blackmail folder.
- 23:32Do you know? Actually I've got to tell you
- 23:33guys, right? And you know, some of you are
- 23:35involved in this, so pay attention.
- 23:39But on these on these zoom calls, OK, obviously I'll recall
- 23:43the beginning, the and the middle where we actually talk
- 23:45about the episodes and the end. And I'm in the process of
- 23:48creating the hamster blackmail super cut where everyone says
- 23:53horrible things about people. And unless they send me their
- 23:56target books, I'll release it. No, I'm not doing that.
- 23:59So I've. Only got 1 target book it's.
- 24:03Just a form of comprehensive insurance you understand.
- 24:08Oh, what? Well, I'm not surprised it's
- 24:11that one. Now I think this guy is, is it
- 24:16David Netheim? I apologise if I've pronounced
- 24:20his surname incorrectly, but I think his son went on to be a
- 24:25director of some Doctor Who stories.
- 24:27Oh. Some Steven Moffett ones, yes.
- 24:30Not Saul Metzine, is it? No, I think it was a Daniel.
- 24:35I think it's Daniel Netheim. What episodes did he direct
- 24:38Daniel I'm. Just going to have a look see.
- 24:41I'll just take the glasses off. Quick everyone keep talking
- 24:43while he's researching so to cover it.
- 24:46Up Well, we're good to see the stock footage, yes, using
- 24:50Inferno as well. I know.
- 24:52Don't. You see that whole building is
- 24:54crumbling and things as well, yeah.
- 24:56Yeah. It's quite effective.
- 24:57I think in black and white. You can get away with stock
- 24:59footage in a way that in Carla it's very obvious.
- 25:03It does. It is a little bit more of, but
- 25:05also it's. It's it's.
- 25:09It's television, so if something's going to happen like
- 25:13that, it's going to be stock footage.
- 25:16Yes, Daniel. He's the nephew of David
- 25:21Netheim, who's who's the the actor who played and if you go
- 25:24on to IMD BS entry for David Netheim, it has actually has a
- 25:30picture of him in in the Enemy of the World.
- 25:35Can I ask you then, what episode did Federine's nephew direct
- 25:39I'm. Just just scrolling along.
- 25:42Oh, you started talking. I thought you had all the facts.
- 25:45On Julia, right? I'm sure it's a muffin one.
- 25:46It, it, it does say, it does say he's directed Doctor Who, but
- 25:50I'm just working out, just finding, finding which ones it
- 25:53is. Hey this stock footage is great
- 25:55and looks apocalyptic. I do like it when subtitles just
- 25:58say shouting. I feel as if I was watching.
- 26:03I want something like that then. Oh yeah.
- 26:08The man is mad. I love how it's 2018 but
- 26:10Salamanders decided to dress like he's 17th century France.
- 26:15Isn't that quite the man's mad? Worse still, he's incompetent.
- 26:20Well, no, it's an approximation of the Mexican dress, if you see
- 26:28what I mean. You know the smart dress with
- 26:30the crock jacket, a bit like a matadors jacket and the frilled
- 26:33shirt and and the the the sort of the low collar.
- 26:37But stereotypical I. Think yeah again, yes.
- 26:41And also I'd like to apologise for talking myself into a hole
- 26:44about people not being thought of as white and not white,
- 26:48because that could have come across as quite racist and it
- 26:51might intended to be no. I see.
- 26:53Good grief, nobody would ever think that of you it.
- 26:56Didn't I'm gonna say that. Do you know, did you notice all
- 26:58that shouting going on in that scene?
- 26:59I've been listening to a lot of Toby head out lately and he
- 27:01goes, you know, very serious men standing around and said
- 27:04shouting at each other. It's like top drama as far as
- 27:07he's gonna power a crow. All those scenes in the refinery
- 27:10for him, that's the ultimate drama.
- 27:12Well, Daniel, do you have some facts for us?
- 27:14Yes, he directed the Saigon invasion, the Saigon inversion
- 27:20and extremists, and the pyramid at the end of the world.
- 27:23Oh. It was.
- 27:24Really. It wasn't his son.
- 27:25He was his nephew, OK. Well, that was the end of
- 27:31episode 2, folks. We've all gone very quiet, so
- 27:34our outers here, but are you all excited to watch the episode
- 27:39that we've all seen, you know, many, many times?
- 27:43Yeah, bring it on. OK, right there.
