- 2:19So Helen welcome to everybody. I hope you have a been having, I
- 2:22guess, I a great week. Thus far, we are fast
- 2:27approaching the Spring Equinox time here in North America.
- 2:31You know, at least in the United States of America weather is
- 2:35beginning to feel much more like the springtime much unlike The
- 2:41Audacity Of Scotty last this this past weekend man like a
- 2:49week ago or almost a week ago, like Friday night, going into
- 2:53Saturday, where we, you know, went from like 70 degrees during
- 2:56the day and it like just took a barrel roll downhill into the
- 3:01into the 20s and the teens overnight.
- 3:04We got a little bit of snow and it stayed on the ground, you
- 3:06know, for like a for the, for a good portion of that day, but
- 3:12we're past that now, It seems and we are feeling much more
- 3:18like you know the spring time would be.
- 3:21I'm going to have to start cutting my grass again soon.
- 3:26And everybody else is grass. I cut my in-laws live, a few
- 3:32doors down and my wife's cousin lives.
- 3:36Next to them. So I cut my yard, you know, or
- 3:39our yard, and I cut theirs and her cousins yard.
- 3:43So here we go. I'm going to be starting to do
- 3:45that again. And What's going on with this
- 3:51here anyway? Yeah we're doing that.
- 3:56That's going to be coming up soon.
- 3:58You know the way the trying to get this lighting lighting right
- 4:04washed out over here. Oh well it is what it is but
- 4:08that's going to be happening soon. probably very soon if not
- 4:11already by now, I'll have gone out there and, you know, I think
- 4:15my father-in-law already started some spring clean up around his,
- 4:19his yard, he was getting the itch, you know, to get out there
- 4:22with the trimmer, or what they call it down here in the south
- 4:26is the weed eater weed eater They call it a weed eater back
- 4:31up north, where I'm from. We used to just call it a weed
- 4:34wacker. Which you would whack more than
- 4:37just weeds with it. I mean, I had a I had a Honda
- 4:43professional-grade commercial grade.
- 4:44I think it was called sucker weighed like 18 pounds was a
- 4:48heavy. It was heavy but I had this like
- 4:50shoulder harness thing. You know, and I would a with
- 4:54clipped him to the shoulder harness and I would have a you
- 4:56know, my dad had a about a seven seven or eight thousand dollar
- 5:02zero turn radius, Lawnmower Man, big 60 inch.
- 5:06My mother was called the grasshopper.
- 5:09I think that was actually the brand, it was a grasshopper and
- 5:13because we had you know, several Acres of yard to cut I think all
- 5:21total my parents property was You know, about two or three
- 5:25acres of grass. Maybe more something like that.
- 5:30It was it was I was a lot. I know that and then people on
- 5:34our same road, you know, homes and businesses and stuff like
- 5:37that. And they would you know, we they
- 5:40would charge us to mow their yard.
- 5:42So between my dad and I and then eventually just became me where
- 5:44I was you know, I was the lawn guy.
- 5:47I was the long guy from Long Island.
- 5:50I don't know if you guys know that or not, but I am actually
- 5:52from Long Island. So, I was, I was the lawn guy
- 5:57from Long Island. And I would go out there with my
- 6:00lawn mower and my weed whacker and I will trim the yards. and I
- 6:09would, you know, do all of that stuff.
- 6:13So, anyway, I weed whackers or weed eaters or whatever they
- 6:19call it down here, my father-in-law was out there
- 6:24terming around Summit, some stuff and just getting things
- 6:26cleaned up. And that's like, I'm looking
- 6:28around my yard too. And I'm like, yeah, it's getting
- 6:30to be that time. It's getting to be that time.
- 6:32So, you know, it's good, it's good, that, you know, life is
- 6:36starting to resurface things are starting to become much more
- 6:39awake and active. The days are pretty.
- 6:42Days are now longer, you know, we just had that stupid daylight
- 6:46savings time thing, kick in, you know, so now we got, you know,
- 6:49we lost an hours sleep that one night.
- 6:51And now we're back into the, you know, extra hour of daylight.
- 6:57So, you know, our days feel longer now, And just overall,
- 7:02generally generally speaking, you know, where we're moving
- 7:05towards the return of life and the return of the Sun and return
- 7:11of all these things, you know, the Spring Equinox, there's
- 7:13ostara for a lot of the other pagans that observe as as such.
- 7:21And of course, you know Easter, oddly enough Easter this year is
- 7:27falling on the same weekend as my tribes.
- 7:30Seager bloat celebration. So we've got two We got to make
- 7:35a commendations to be back from our camping trip where we're
- 7:40going to be doing our thing. We're going to have to be
- 7:42careful to be back in time to attend family functions, and
- 7:48things of, of the Easter side of stuff.
- 7:53So there will be that and, This this whole screen thing is like
- 8:04it's weird today. It seems to be like really don't
- 8:07know if it's the Liz at the lighting.
- 8:12Say, that makes me look like I'm freaking Ghostface over here.
- 8:16Anyway, not going to stress about it too much.
- 8:18You guys get it. I'm not worried about the visual
- 8:20aspects of it because it's a podcast.
- 8:22And who cares what's up here on this?
- 8:24You know, screen thing whatever. But um, so yeah, we got Got all
- 8:30this, all this newness, all this New Life coming around and with
- 8:33the newness of life, with the resurrection of life with the,
- 8:36with the resurfacing of things, you know, everything's waking
- 8:39back up again, from its dormant stage, we're starting to see
- 8:42some some intense intensity returning to this to this part
- 8:47of the world. You know, a lot of intense
- 8:50emotions, a lot of intense feelings, a lot of Lot of lot of
- 8:56strength, a lot of power, making themselves manifest in a lot of
- 9:01people's lives. It's a it's palpable.
- 9:08I can feel it. I can you know we a lot of us
- 9:12can feel it but interesting show today.
- 9:17I thought I was going to have a guest on here as it turns out
- 9:21doesn't doesn't look like that's going to work out but that's
- 9:25okay. Things happen, you know, life
- 9:28happens. Man we had a plan.
- 9:31I think I talked about last week we had a plan last this past
- 9:34Saturday, you know to meet up with some people and you know,
- 9:41Talk about some things and have lunch and whatnot and you know,
- 9:44largely due to other things. But you know, the weather may be
- 9:47played a little bit of a factor but there were some other major
- 9:50things going on on my end where I just I could not rightfully
- 9:54justify taking off and spending time with people that I've
- 9:58either never met before or, you know, only met once couldn't
- 10:04justify going off to do that without first, taking care of
- 10:06things within my inner yard, my inner In and got it.
- 10:12Talked about that a number of times on the number of videos
- 10:15and the concept of inner versus outer is very is very
- 10:19commonplace in any heat and worldview but the inner is is
- 10:23sacred and we take care of what's in and guard that which
- 10:29is within before we worry about what's without.
- 10:31So most of my focus had been over this weekend, you know, Ben
- 10:36Ben on things going on here with my inner yard.
- 10:42So, we didn't do our visit our luncheon thing.
- 10:47It has been rescheduled though to this coming Saturday.
- 10:50So we shall hopefully get a chance to meet some folks, and
- 10:56be reintroduced with some folks and have some interesting
- 10:59conversation and see where it goes from there.
- 11:02But I did want to. Still keep up with what I wanted
- 11:08to talk about this week. So last week I mentioned some
- 11:11things about You know, families are or whatever of differing
- 11:19faiths or families of opposing beliefs or you guys can check my
- 11:24back catalog and previous episode for that.
- 11:28And actually, during the YouTube Premiere last week's live from
- 11:33here, I got a call in from a gentleman.
- 11:37And we're going to listen to his, his call here, because it
- 11:41has to do with what we talked about last week and I think he
- 11:44Brings up some really great points.
- 11:47And that's what I love about sharing.
- 11:51You know, this type of stuff on whether it's YouTube or, or any
- 11:54other platforms, you guys are always welcome to call the
- 11:56midgard muezzins hotline 6, 1, 5 6, 7 1983 to, I don't care if
- 12:00it's 2:00 in the morning Where You Are.
- 12:03Or whenever just call in and leave a voicemail because just
- 12:07like this guy did, you know it was happening during the
- 12:10premiere? I'm not going to, you know, I
- 12:11don't have it set up to where I'm going to take calls live or
- 12:14whatever. Because I probably I record
- 12:16these episodes. Well, enough in advance days in
- 12:20advance, even for, you know, to schedule the premier's and
- 12:26stuff. So, but please, when you, when
- 12:28you listen, when you watch, when you see any of this stuff and
- 12:31you even if it's a past episode, So write his call in.
- 12:35Hey Jesse you know that one episode we were talking about
- 12:37this. It was episode number of
- 12:39blabbity blah or whatever. You know, you mentioned this.
- 12:43I want to talk about that. Here's my thoughts on, it
- 12:45doesn't matter. It was whenever it was whenever
- 12:47it is you go back and you listen to a bunch of my episodes.
- 12:50And you like, I think this would be a really neat topic of
- 12:52conversation. What, how do I get on your
- 12:55podcast? You can call me.
- 12:59Or you can write it into the show, midgard, musings Tian at
- 13:02gmail.com, especially if you're interested in being a guest on
- 13:06the podcast, would love to, you know, hash out some details and
- 13:11talk about some things as far as that goes.
- 13:13But yes, please definitely make sure that anything that you have
- 13:17thoughts wise, share it, you know.
- 13:20So let's, let's listen to, let's listen to this call because it
- 13:26really did speak to me. I think, It did a great.
- 13:33It did a great thing for the issue at hand, so this is a call
- 13:38from, I think it is a manual or man, well, either way Manuel or
- 13:46Emmanuel. Thanks for calling.
- 13:48And so, let's listen to what, what he has to say here, hello
- 13:52definitey. This is Emmanuel prayer, I'm
- 13:57Emanuele coming through your Premier also, and just a bit
- 14:01ago. They were talking about being
- 14:06human, the kind of Christian home and I just thought of this
- 14:13other aspect and my life personally that helped me as far
- 14:21as a Christian family. My family is very accepting and
- 14:25loving and I didn't have an issue with that.
- 14:27The biggest issue I felt like is probably a big problem for most
- 14:31of our people is dating and when you get into dating a Christian
- 14:37or a Baptist or a Jehovah's Witness, like I married and You
- 14:44know, when my past relationships, when I was first
- 14:48starting to get into the faith knowledge is really gung-ho
- 14:50about everything and I was a lot of us were cramming for this.
- 14:54Guy's that I praised Thor, and it like pushed my ex away from
- 15:02me. So, in this relationship, which
- 15:05I'm now married instead of inviting her to the bloat,
- 15:10instead of inviting her for ritual and doing You are
- 15:13cleansing your meditation instead of going to the cemetery
- 15:19for ancestor veneration, instead of doing any of that, I went out
- 15:23and I did my own thing, I would do a bonfire in my backyard and
- 15:28I would, I would hold the bloat. You know, I would go to my Altar
- 15:32and, you know, it's a little prayer burn my herbs and I would
- 15:39just leave it at that. I wouldn't invite them if they
- 15:43came up. Up to me.
- 15:44And my, the kids came up to me and they ask, you know, I would
- 15:47tell them, my wife came up to me and asked, I would tell her and,
- 15:52you know, eventually I want to say, you know, it only took
- 15:57like, six months for her too. Continuously ask me questions.
- 16:06Like it. Let her let her guard down and
- 16:11say, okay. Well, let me figure out what and
- 16:15he's coming from. Hmm.
- 16:17And at the end of it, she became a part of my Kindred, you know,
- 16:21she became a pagan. Wow.
- 16:24And I think our approach should just be the opposite of what
- 16:28like, Jehovah's Witnesses, do going door to door and trying to
- 16:31jam, our religion down people's throat.
- 16:35And people seem to be more accepting to that.
- 16:42That's awesome, dude. Anyway, I would love to be on
- 16:46one of your shows sometimes, man, I really enjoy.
- 16:52Oh, man, so that I guess the call cut off because that's all
- 16:54I've got. But, man, like, I, I 100% agree
- 17:01with you Manuel Manuel, Manuel Freire, so hail to you, where
- 17:08are you, where are you called in from?
- 17:10I genuinely want to say thank you.
- 17:13And I hope that this reaches your ears and eyes, and
- 17:17whatever, but thank you for calling in because, you know,
- 17:21you bring up some really good. with my headset over there, you
- 17:25bring up some really good points, you know, let things Be
- 17:31organic and let things grow as as they were, you know, you had
- 17:34an experience when you first got into a relationship with someone
- 17:39who was perhaps not lined up with your beliefs, you know.
- 17:44And you took a very aggressive approach, right?
- 17:47With the you know hailing of the Gods and being very you know
- 17:52there's nothing wrong. I don't think there's anything
- 17:54wrong with being transparent and and Expressing your dedication
- 18:02to the gods is in that way. There's also opportunity to
- 18:07understand that because of its approach because of it, all
- 18:10right. Like, there's there's
- 18:11opportunity to learn of respecting and showing some
- 18:17Temperance and, and dialing it back a little bit for the very
- 18:20reasons that you mentioned, write that first time didn't
- 18:22work. Well, it actually pushed your
- 18:25person who that you were in the relationship with away from even
- 18:28wanting to Perhaps think about it.
- 18:31Now it could be said that that individual was not at any in or
- 18:37in any sense of the word interested in wanting to learn
- 18:39about, you know, he then Heathen re or paganism or anything like
- 18:43that. And so I really wouldn't have
- 18:44mattered what you did and or what approach you took, if she
- 18:49was not willing or wanting to be a part of it and there was
- 18:52really nothing that you could do to persuade her but that that's
- 18:55where it goes back to you, right?
- 18:56Like your wife. Now, who you Entered into a
- 19:00relationship with while she was Jehovah's, Witness is now Pagan,
- 19:06right? Your approach was not to
- 19:07persuade your approach. Was, I'm going to do my thing
- 19:12and you're going to do your thing and we're going to live
- 19:14together peacefully, but I'm going to, I'm going to respect
- 19:17your path of your religious and your religious ways in your
- 19:22spirituality. I'm gonna respect that and you
- 19:23and in turn, I ask that you respect mine and it seems right
- 19:27just without knowing too much about your situation.
- 19:30It seems like that's how the relationship was was, was was
- 19:35experienced, you know, you guys respected each other and you
- 19:39went outside and you did your thing kind of away from
- 19:42everybody, right? Like it wasn't like you just lit
- 19:44a fire right? Outside of the back patio and,
- 19:47you know, started drumming and dancing and hailed the gods and
- 19:50everything like that, right? It was set off a bit said and
- 19:54wait in the Sacred Space and he did your thing and you made it
- 19:57open and available, right? You were it wasn't like don't
- 20:00come out and bother me, but you also weren't like I want you to
- 20:04come out here and experience this.
- 20:05You have to come out here and experience.
- 20:07This is our family. This is part of it.
- 20:08The ID audit, right? No.
- 20:10Instead you you did your thing and you left it open like, Let
- 20:16them come to me, Let It Grow organically, let it do, what
- 20:19it's going to do in, whichever way it's going to grow.
- 20:22Let whatever to be will be okay, and I love that.
- 20:28I love to hear that. And then, look, what happened,
- 20:30right? It's it, is it going to happen
- 20:31that way every single time with, with families, or with people
- 20:36that have relationships. I guess not.
- 20:39You know what I'm saying? But if there's a chance of it to
- 20:41happen, if there's a possibility.
- 20:43And and if you want to It the best chance that it has.
- 20:47I think your approach is 100% the way to go, right?
- 20:52Because you didn't force anything upon anybody.
- 20:55And you answered questions when they came to you about it, and
- 20:58you allowed them to approach you and then what happened, you
- 21:03know, they became so inquisitive and so curious, that they found
- 21:06a place to call home with their own spirituality.
- 21:10They realize, or they found that what you were doing felt.
- 21:15More like a place that they want it to be over something that
- 21:19they had been doing, you know. So there was like a call home
- 21:23and they felt invited. And yes, I 100% agree that there
- 21:27that the approach that, that heathens should take nowadays
- 21:30and pagans. And in general should take
- 21:32nowadays as if you're going to enter into a relationship with a
- 21:35partner of whatever, sort, whatever, kind of romantic, or
- 21:42whatever relationship that you enter into.
- 21:45It should be known and it should be, you know, there's there
- 21:48should be that level of transparency that this is who I
- 21:50am. And this is what I am, and this
- 21:52is what that means. But that but that if they aren't
- 21:56the same thing as you at that time that it should not
- 22:01necessarily. You know, dissuade you from
- 22:04pursuing a relationship with that person and if they are
- 22:06willing to give your relationship a shot, knowing the
- 22:10challenges that are faced or are knowing the challenges ahead
- 22:14that you They face, okay. Because again, a lot of
- 22:18especially Christians are, are fed the the, the dogma and the
- 22:24doctrine of the abrahamic. God, that that pagans Eagle the
- 22:28devil and heathens are the bad guys.
- 22:31And those are the ones that should be wiped out and
- 22:33eradicated and cleansed, or converted, you know, or are have
- 22:40had nothing to do with, you know, don't have anything to do
- 22:43with the filthy pagans. We read about it all the time if
- 22:47any if anybody has ever taken any time to read through Old
- 22:51Testament, writings weather, and whatever variation of the Bible
- 22:56you want to read from, but I know a lot of our audience is
- 23:00going to be, you know, pagans that were Christian so you've
- 23:04ever at least read the Bible or hurt things about, just the
- 23:07general overall view of pagans amongst Christians.
- 23:12It's that, you know, Bueno. so, if you go into a relationship
- 23:21with somebody who is obviously Christian, And dedicated in
- 23:25their Christian faith. You love them for who they are.
- 23:29You don't love them for the religion that they that they
- 23:31follow. There are just some things that
- 23:34just inherently don't match up and as long as there's an
- 23:36understanding and a mutual respect for each other, like
- 23:40hey, I'm going to do my thing and you're going to do your
- 23:42thing. You might be able to make it
- 23:44work again. for manuals case here and his you know scenario
- 23:51that he presented it obviously is worked out because now his
- 23:54wife does share similar or same beliefs and is no longer
- 23:59Jehovah's Witness and his Pagan, you know, and it wasn't that he
- 24:01was trying to convert her Or change her for who she was?
- 24:07It was he just did what he did and allowed it to be an open and
- 24:11welcoming thing. And she was inquisitive, and she
- 24:15asked questions and now after so many questions were asked, and
- 24:18what not has become part of it. Also, there's that chance, so,
- 24:21that it could happen, but it needs to happen organically
- 24:24right guys? It needs to be something that
- 24:26plays out naturally and organically.
- 24:29We don't take the approach of. If you want to be with me, you
- 24:33have to be pagan. Right?
- 24:35If you want to be with me, you have to worship the old gods.
- 24:37You have to do it this way. Have to do it that way.
- 24:43And again, like I said, if that's your approach and if
- 24:45that's the way you're going to conduct your life, that's that's
- 24:48your hall in your call. Don't don't misconstrue what I'm
- 24:51saying as being like, you know, it ain't gonna work unless you
- 24:54do it this way or the other, I mean, again, your whole your
- 24:57call. But I I 100% agree, you know,
- 25:00with you a manual that you You should just do the thing.
- 25:06And, and if they want to be a part of it, then then then let
- 25:10him be a part of it and and if they don't then they don't and
- 25:13that's okay. So I really appreciate that.
- 25:18I really appreciate you calling in and sharing that bit of
- 25:21information that in being you know, that candid with not just
- 25:25me here. But now with everybody, you
- 25:27know, and then definitely you know, man I think that if you if
- 25:33you want to ever in midgar musings Tian at gmail.com about
- 25:37a possibility of Kind of being on a podcast with me to talk
- 25:41about stuff. And again, I welcome it, I
- 25:46welcome it to everybody and anybody at least two right in
- 25:51and inquire about it. So yeah for sure it's the invite
- 25:57still there and then it's open. But for anybody that does call
- 26:03in just realized that if I say that, I fi get your voicemail
- 26:06like, man, this would be great on a podcast that I'm gonna put
- 26:09it. Here.
- 26:11And if you don't want to be on the podcast and just let me know
- 26:16ahead of time like hey this is something.
- 26:17I want you to consider want to remain anonymous that sort of
- 26:22thing. So, It's there.
- 26:25It's out there. It's sweets for you all.
- 26:28But okay, so so now that we did that, I think that was a great
- 26:33you know introduction for this week's podcast, I didn't want to
- 26:38do. As I said, I would do last week
- 26:41and start this week off with another viewer request or
- 26:46another listener request that came in the form of an email.
- 26:53So this this one is coming in from someone who I'm going to be
- 26:59linking. He's got a YouTube channel.
- 27:02He's also on Instagram, not very active.
- 27:04According to him doesn't post a lot of content but I'm going to
- 27:06put it down there anyway so you know check him out he is
- 27:10skaldak, skaldak works. So it's it's called it works on
- 27:15YouTube and skaldak underscore works on.
- 27:18Instagram information is going to be in the description and
- 27:21also in the show notes. Of the podcast.
- 27:23So if you're looking to follow, what what he does, those are the
- 27:28platforms that he's offered. He did say, you know, you know,
- 27:31feel free to share his his social media information.
- 27:37He doesn't post a lot there, but he did say, you know, had two
- 27:43questions for you. So, the, the, the the, This this
- 27:49podcast is going to be dedicated to the first of two questions.
- 27:52He has two questions and his email was titled destroying
- 27:56altar objects and interrupted ritual spaces.
- 28:02So it's a two-part. Now, part two is going to be a
- 28:05next week's episode. So if you guys want to continue
- 28:09and see what we talked about with relation to the second part
- 28:14of scalded Works question, tune in to next week's episode.
- 28:19But his email says Ago by Blake, his name is Blake and he goes by
- 28:23scold. It works on YouTube and scalded
- 28:25underscore works on Instagram again.
- 28:27It's all in the description, show notes, whatever, check it
- 28:29all out. He says he doesn't post there a
- 28:32lot. But anyway he says he has two
- 28:33questions to ask and he says I can answer them both in one
- 28:37podcast or split them into two topics.
- 28:41I like the two topics thing because again of what we had to
- 28:47do, On the first half of the podcast or the, or the first
- 28:50part of this of this week's podcast and I just think that
- 28:52these two topics are they tie into one another well enough so
- 28:57you could technically fit them into one but I feel like with
- 29:00with more people involved. Hopefully next week I'll have a
- 29:02guess we can talk more about this and get some more dialogue
- 29:05built around. So as first question we're going
- 29:08to be talking about today. It goes in hand.
- 29:10He says, with what I have said about ritual objects on my
- 29:17altar, He says on your altar ritual objects on your altar,
- 29:20that no longer have a purpose needing to be destroyed upon
- 29:27removal from said altar. So what I'm asking or what he's
- 29:32asking is what happens if either the object can't be destroyed
- 29:40and he says such as Bronze Statues.
- 29:46You want to repurpose them, you know, you want to like repurpose
- 29:50the bronze. I guess, you want to repurpose
- 29:51the item as a sacred object elsewhere or keep them and move
- 29:57them back into the realm of the profane world.
- 30:01So, the question I'm gathering is, you know, you He's referring
- 30:06to and I can't recall which video or which podcast I may
- 30:10have talked about this song, so I apologize for not having a
- 30:13point of reference for this but I know that I've talked about
- 30:17this type of subject before and that is the destruction of
- 30:22ritual items. Once they have served their
- 30:24purpose, once they have, once they no longer serve the purpose
- 30:31for which you use them and he's asking, you know, what do you do
- 30:35or Happens. What can you do?
- 30:37If the ritual item can't be destroyed or you want to
- 30:40repurpose it for other things? So I do just want to say that
- 30:45the thing of which that it's called it works here is is
- 30:49talking about, can definitely be looked into from a lot of
- 30:54different ways there has been and I've seen them before
- 30:58historical archaeological digs and finds of items that were
- 31:03used as As a ritual item. We don't know necessarily what
- 31:10the ritual was but they were real.
- 31:13They were recovered or discovered through
- 31:16archaeological means as items that were used by an ancient
- 31:21Society. for the purpose of ritual and they were obviously
- 31:26visually and, and everything else destroyed the most, the
- 31:32most I'm trying to think the most Obvious one that I can
- 31:38think of is I've seen an old spearhead that dated back to
- 31:43like 500 BC or something. It was it was it was traced to
- 31:46like a Celtic tribe somewhere. I don't remember exactly where
- 31:50but it was a spearhead. Now obviously Spears are
- 31:53straight and obviously, you know, pointed and whatnot.
- 31:55And the spearhead had been burnt or melted and bent Beyond like,
- 32:02Beyond 90 degrees. It was almost like a 100.
- 32:04He was like a you at that point. They had They had taken the
- 32:08bronze or the or whatever the metal was that they had made and
- 32:13crafted the spearhead out of. It was a metal, they had, they
- 32:16had melted it to the point of being able to ritually destroy
- 32:21it. So that's spear as now being in
- 32:24the shape of like a, you no longer served its purpose as
- 32:28anything. It, you could not use it for
- 32:30hunting. You cannot use it for for
- 32:32Warfare defense, anything. It was it was rendered useless.
- 32:37In the realm of the profane. And we see this sort of
- 32:40practice, we see this sort of thing being done in a variety of
- 32:42cultures, and archaeological, discoveries support that this
- 32:48practice existed in many cultures.
- 32:51So I think I've talked about this thing before, in other
- 32:55videos or podcasts, where you craft something or you make
- 33:00something for the sake of a ritual.
- 33:03Right? And it could be anything, it
- 33:05could be that, I'm just going to use some examples that I know
- 33:10of, right? I've written, I've written
- 33:13ritual, I've made by and runes, I've, I've crafted certain
- 33:21things and others that I know in my tribe have have done the same
- 33:25thing. One of our tribe members, whose
- 33:29who serves as our law speaker is very skillful.
- 33:33In the formation of mandalas, right?
- 33:37So he's got a lot of intuition and a lot of experience with
- 33:41putting symbols together in a very aesthetically appealing
- 33:48format and he's made mandalas and stuff for certain rituals
- 33:52that that we perform. And it fits our tribal
- 33:57Traditions, it fits the way our tribe works.
- 34:00And he's made those things, and then he has ritually.
- 34:03Destroyed them in fire. Now, again the reason behind it,
- 34:10goes back to the purpose of what you do, right?
- 34:14Your intent is to and I've talked about this before again,
- 34:18intent and purpose. If you guys are interested in
- 34:20wanting to see about the differences between intent
- 34:23versus purpose and just go back through my podcast, episodes
- 34:29catalog, and look for the episode that jam all of sin.
- 34:32And I Did together talking about the very thing about intended
- 34:35purpose? But, you know, your intent is
- 34:38one thing in the purposes. The other the purpose behind
- 34:42what you're doing is is to achieve a certain result, right?
- 34:49And once that purpose has been served, once you have gone
- 34:51through those motions. Once you've done the thing that
- 34:55item that you use in your ritual, now has been rendered.
- 35:01Of no more use for you. In the profane, you have, you
- 35:04have sent it off. You have done what you've done
- 35:06through your ritual and now it needs to be, or least to the
- 35:11sacred ritual e. So this, the, this next part
- 35:17kind of goes into a lot of different.
- 35:20I think anyways, not going to go on record as saying this but I
- 35:24think the the, the method of destroying something.
- 35:27Ritually the Three B's, right? Barry, it bhagat or burn it or
- 35:35are utilized. Maybe not just in Germanic
- 35:37Heathen or Norse Heathen circles, but in a variety of
- 35:40other polytheistic Pagan practices, You know, if you
- 35:46can't burn it, then bury it. If you can't bury it, then bog
- 35:51it which is kind of like burying in a way but it goes into the
- 35:54bog, goes into the swamp, it's water, there's water involved,
- 35:58it's not just burying it in dirt.
- 36:01That goes into this and there's this whole water water carries
- 36:07things that the it has a metaphysical meaning to it as
- 36:11well as the same as fire. But either way, whichever way
- 36:16you choose to ritually destroy the item.
- 36:19It is rendering it of no more use to the to the profane world.
- 36:25So, like, in comparison with that spear that I was referring
- 36:29to earlier, that spear was bent Beyond its physical use, its
- 36:34profane use, it could no longer serve as a weapon of war or a
- 36:39hunting item, it was strictly used in a ritual for the gods
- 36:43and it was Destroyed as such and by destroying it, you are
- 36:47originally ritually. Releasing it from its profane
- 36:51use and sending it off to the sacred realm.
- 36:56So he says, you know, what's to be done about items that can't
- 37:00be destroyed. Now, I don't know, the mechanics
- 37:04of things to the, to the extent of bronze.
- 37:06He's using Bronze Statues as a as an example, right?
- 37:10But I feel like with enough fire with enough Heat, Right with
- 37:15enough Force. Anything can be destroyed you
- 37:18know and and if you want to repurpose that item for
- 37:24something else, then the item is no longer what it was, you've
- 37:28changed its structure and you've changed the Integrity of it.
- 37:33You you've made it something else other than what it was used
- 37:37for in that moment. And so it is not the same thing
- 37:41anymore. So there's always a way where
- 37:45there's a will there's a way you can burn something to it to its
- 37:48incineration. You can, you can bury something
- 37:51to the point where it is lost to the this profane world and
- 37:55without, you know, conscious efforts of resurfacing it and
- 38:02retrieving it. It's it is done.
- 38:06It is no longer used for here in this profane space, same way
- 38:11with baggage. And, you know, it's gone, it's
- 38:14washed away, it's consumed by the bog.
- 38:16And it's in. It's made one with it's no
- 38:21longer part of this profane space and to be used in this
- 38:24profane world, you know? So You know what, what, what if
- 38:31or what? What if you can't destroy it?
- 38:34I mean show me something that you really you really can't
- 38:36destroy you unless we're talking about items that are so precious
- 38:41that in none in Destruction come by diamonds or whatever, you
- 38:44know, we're like you literally can't destroy it.
- 38:47I mean Send it off, you know, cast it into a lake, I mean,
- 38:53it's out of your reach now, right?
- 38:56It's a and that's the whole bogging thing.
- 38:58You know, it's out of your reach now and good luck to ever trying
- 39:02to retrieve it. But fire for me, has been the
- 39:06one that I have actually become close most closely, you know,
- 39:12associated with fire and smoke. Me and my ritual practices I've
- 39:20ever since probably the last like, five months or so.
- 39:22I went off into a spiritual journey last November, I've
- 39:29talked about this alluded to this, a number of times with the
- 39:34number of guests on the show, and I've talked about it, you
- 39:37know, pretty pretty openly, but might that, that shamanic
- 39:40journey of mine, you know? I spent a lot of time In the
- 39:48East and the South, the South, and the East, were my places,
- 39:55that I would hang out a bit and talking like Compass points, you
- 40:01know, points on the compass, in the South and in the East and
- 40:05then the fire and the smoke are something that I'm drawn to
- 40:09really ever. Since then, honestly, I've
- 40:12always loved a good campfire, I've always loved a good
- 40:14bonfire. But a lot of my spiritual
- 40:17practices as of late which, which for anybody that follows
- 40:19me on social media, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- 40:22You'll see a lot of my, my photo posts and some of my.
- 40:25Even my video posts might include me partaking in a smoke,
- 40:31a smoke session of sorts of resin, burning smoke session,
- 40:34and very therapeutic. It's very helpful for me in my
- 40:38spirituality. Really helps me tune in and then
- 40:41kind of get into that ritual state of mind.
- 40:44So fire is a This is the thing that I'm always drawn to and I'm
- 40:48like, if I can get somewhere, then I can burn it and destroy
- 40:51it. Ritually through fire, then then
- 40:53that's what speaks to me. Other people might have, you
- 40:57know, some restrictions, we are, in fact, of course, modern
- 41:02pagans, you know, living in modern societies and in, you
- 41:06know, apartments and City living and all that kind of stuff are
- 41:10not always welcoming or conducive for fires to be lit.
- 41:15Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
- 41:16So you might not have that ability to in your space, in
- 41:20your home, on your property, be able to do stuff like that.
- 41:22Fortunately, where I live while it is pretty Rural.
- 41:26And I've got neighbors, you know, very close by.
- 41:29Fortunately I have the ability to have an outside area of to
- 41:32burn things and I also live close to the Stones River and I
- 41:38have places that I Venture off into off of the beaten path near
- 41:42the water. Where, if I want to send things
- 41:44off, I've done this before ritually as well, right?
- 41:46I sent things off that are not, first of all they when I when I
- 41:51when I send things off like that into the water, or bhagat, or
- 41:55whatever, it's non-toxic, I don't send things off that way,
- 42:00that that would potentially be harmful to the environment to
- 42:02the vet here to anything like that.
- 42:05So, you know, biodegradable items things that are of Natural
- 42:10Resources, you know, when I send things off, that way, it's done.
- 42:16I've done that before with fire, you know, you can pretty well
- 42:19burned almost anything that that's, that's naturally
- 42:22occurring. It's not going to hurt the
- 42:23environment. Anything it's going to burn it
- 42:25down to ashes. That can be used to nourish the
- 42:29Earth. So, again, it goes back to the
- 42:32whole, the purpose, the why, why are you doing what you're doing?
- 42:35You're, you're doing it to seal the deal as it were, you know,
- 42:41your words that you spoke in the the efforts that you've made the
- 42:44things that you've done. Now need to be finalized and
- 42:48sent off in this item, this thing, whether it's be something
- 42:51that you made, whether it be something that you hold near and
- 42:53dear true to yourself. It's something of value, you're
- 42:57dedicating it to the sacred, you're dedicating it to the
- 43:00gods, and to get rid of that item to destroy that.
- 43:03Attitude, no longer have that thing be used for its purpose
- 43:07anymore and whether it be you you change its construction, you
- 43:11you change its material makeup to be something else.
- 43:14That's still ritually. Drawing the item, you know?
- 43:18So sure if you burn something down or melt something down to
- 43:22be something else, then it's something else at that point,
- 43:25it's no longer the thing that you had before that it was
- 43:30intended for its purpose has been served in that moment and
- 43:33now you have destroyed it by either rendering it useless and
- 43:38and 100% either incinerating it or or bogging it or whatever you
- 43:43want to call it or you've repurposed it to the point of it
- 43:46becoming something else. And now that new item that new
- 43:49thing, the thing that has been repurposed has a new purpose,
- 43:54the repurpose Creates a new purpose. so, you know, a lot of
- 44:05the, a lot of the things that I feel that that people may get
- 44:10focused on, or hung up on is mechanics of it all.
- 44:15What do I do, when I do it? How do I do it, right?
- 44:21You'll know, you'll know it's going to feel, right?
- 44:25And you're going to do it in sincerity. and, That want that,
- 44:33that's the one that I don't think.
- 44:35I mean, if you have someone that can kind of be your guide to
- 44:39kind of show you to learn from, I mean, I feel like, you know,
- 44:44platforms like this, and this is just one of many guys.
- 44:47I mean, if you're listening and watching to midgard musings, I
- 44:50hope you're listening and watching to a lot of other
- 44:51really good content. Creator creators that are
- 44:54Heathen out here. Recently.
- 44:57I've been, you know, I don't collaborate with them a lot
- 45:00because they're on a different level than me, but Like ocean
- 45:03Cal, toy wolf, the red, those folks, tremendous influencers in
- 45:08the Heat and community community doing wonderful things.
- 45:11If you could, if you could. I mean, if you haven't been
- 45:13following them on social media, their Twitters and, and, and and
- 45:17their YouTube, I mean, they just raised.
- 45:19I think it was close to 10 grand, 10 thousand dollars for
- 45:24Ukraine, right? Big-time stuff.
- 45:28I mean put your big-boy pants on and run with the bulls kind of
- 45:33stuff you know they have they have a focus and they have a
- 45:39reach and they have a community and they do great things with it
- 45:42and I applaud them for that. You know, I'm not on that level
- 45:46and I don't know if I ever will be because that's not my angle,
- 45:48that's not my Approach. I 100% applaud and support them
- 45:51for it and I think it's absolutely amazing and
- 45:53incredible that, you know, heathens come together to do.
- 45:57Great, things like that. And I want to see that and I
- 46:00love seeing that I love having the visibility to that.
- 46:05I don't do that. If that's not, that's not my
- 46:08angle. I'm very closed off with when it
- 46:11comes to the things that I do or that I share.
- 46:13I don't, I don't use this platform to really reach that
- 46:16far at least not yet again. I'm constantly growing.
- 46:19I thought, you know, if I had to look back and see, you know,
- 46:22when midgard musing started, which actually, if we were to do
- 46:26some A chelating I think by the time this podcast airs it's
- 46:30either right at or close to the four-year anniversary of midgard
- 46:34musings as a whole, right? So Random Heathen ramblings is a
- 46:38podcast that me I do midgard. Musings is, it's a it's a
- 46:42midgard musings production but might the channel, everything,
- 46:45the brand, you know what I'm saying.
- 46:47Been around for four years and I Look At You know guys like ocean
- 46:51Kel toy and Wolf the red and even Eric Sherman.

- 47:02anybody that feels like they're tied, you know, or closed off
- 47:06for that. Their connections are are are
- 47:09broken to the rest of the world because of where they live.
- 47:11There's a huge Community out here.
- 47:14You just need to tap into and you never know who's right in
- 47:17your backyard you know? And and and Matt Petrie Odin's
- 47:21beard, woodworking Jam all of a sudden, see all of its here
- 47:23workshop and they were gone all the friends and Associates.
- 47:27Assets that I've come to meet a lot of great people out here
- 47:30that are doing wonderful things in their own way.
- 47:32And I don't want to compete with people, I Ocean or wolf, the
- 47:36red, let them do their thing and let them be good at it.
- 47:38That's not me. That's not what I'm trying to
- 47:40do. You know, let me do my thing.
- 47:42Let me learn. Let me let me help people and
- 47:44educate and be a source that people can, you know, find a
- 47:49home at or whatever. I don't know, but whatever it
- 47:51is, let me be that. I'm not going to try to compete
- 47:57with anybody else. I want them to be able to do
- 48:00good with what they're doing. I want y'all to your Workshop to
- 48:02do great things, with all the ritual items, the tools, the,
- 48:07the physical tangible items that that help us in our paganism.
- 48:13I want them to excel at that. I want Matt Petrie to sell all
- 48:16the god, pulls that he can possibly carve out to give
- 48:19people the items in their homes and in their Sacred Space too.
- 48:25To venerate the gods and to into focus on the gods with you know
- 48:27and I want you know all these others that I may be having
- 48:31much. Eric shervin specially man, I
- 48:32want I want that man to to be able to relax, you know?
- 48:39And and and and have a have a good time with his folk and with
- 48:43his family with his kin with his kids.
- 48:45And and, and just, you know, Put on some content.
- 48:51I mean he does. He does everybody does it?
- 48:53Everybody here has a place and they all have a lot to offer for
- 48:59this community, you know, man. And I say this community as if
- 49:03it's like one giant thing, but there's little cliques and
- 49:07there's little subsets of within this community that we all may
- 49:10find ourselves dipping in without you know.
- 49:12So there's a lot out here. If you're, if you take the time
- 49:18and kind of siphon through the minutiae, you're going to find
- 49:21great people and and tie yourself to those, you know,
- 49:26connect with those people, learn some things.
- 49:31And I know, I know, I know that a lot of people that I'm friends
- 49:36with online or that I'm friends with in the real, you know,
- 49:39Community the real world, you know, face-to-face by tribesmen,
- 49:44my mic in my kiss, you no speak. Well of me and, you know, I
- 49:50don't, I don't, it doesn't like it doesn't always sink in to me,
- 49:58you know, like I'm at this point in my in my journey and my heat
- 50:01and path right now where I'm taking a huge.
- 50:08It's taken a turn. It's taken a big turn.
- 50:16I'm 6 years now. Going on seven years into my
- 50:22Heathen Journey, which is not a very long time, but when you
- 50:26break it down into increments, right?
- 50:28And you look at nine as being largely recognized as a sacred
- 50:32number. You know, the nine Realms.
- 50:37Odin hangs for me to go to seal from for nine days and nine
- 50:40nights, you know, and and and all the various implications of
- 50:45the number 9 as being something sacred, you know, I'm The
- 50:49threes, the six, the nine like for my for my first three years,
- 50:53to my next three years, which is what I'm in right now.
- 50:55Now transitioning from those last six, you know, the the
- 50:59collective six years into my next three years to equal 9.
- 51:02These next three years from me have we are going to become
- 51:05very, very interesting and very impactful and I don't talk a lot
- 51:10about my personal approach to things because it is it is
- 51:13personal. But guys, if you stick around
- 51:16and stay, Tuned for things. I mean the next three years from
- 51:21are going to be wild and I will be keeping a lot of stuff close
- 51:28at least initially, but eventually things will come out.
- 51:32And if you stick around and you want to, you know, if for all
- 51:34the people that that say you man, you've been such an
- 51:37inspiration, you've taught me a lot, you've shown me a lot.
- 51:39This is not any other thank you. First of all, thank you but I do
- 51:43I get very I'm humbled by it all because I'm still learning.
- 51:47And I mean, when you consider six years, ain't a hell of a
- 51:51long time and it's really not what I've picked up.
- 51:56What I've learned, what I'm willing to learn and or what I'm
- 51:59willing to shoot to share as far as knowledge and when willing to
- 52:03teach, it's like I'm still a student.
- 52:07So, come along with me, right? Let's learn things together.
- 52:12Don't take what I say and have it be the end-all be-all.
- 52:16But take what I say and learn things yourself, right?
- 52:21I'm learning stuff, I'm going off and I'm finding things and
- 52:24I'm taking the time to learn and read and live it and be it, and
- 52:29do it. That's where I think a lot of
- 52:32the the, the growth comes from is is get out of the books,
- 52:37right? There's a place for that.
- 52:39There's a time for that and it's the time is never to stop, you
- 52:43know, don't ever stop searching. I think is is, you know, be
- 52:49careful with how much you learn. Because, you know, you know,
- 52:54medium wise, never too wise one should be, but You know, take
- 53:02that experience, take, whatever experience that you have and use
- 53:08it to your benefit. And then, who knows where you
- 53:11might find yourself. You might be the one that
- 53:13someone comes to you and says, hey about that.
- 53:15What do you think? Can you help me with this?
- 53:17I have some ideas. I need to bounce off here,
- 53:19whatever. Who knows?
- 53:22Who knows? Where we'll be in the next three
- 53:23years, guys, world's crazy. We're all crazy for being here.
- 53:32But but yeah man thank you manual for, for calling in and
- 53:37sharing that and thank you scold.
- 53:40It works for writing in again. Check the description and show
- 53:43notes for his social medias. You know, give him a give him
- 53:50some support, even if it's just a subscriber follow to whatever
- 53:56he does, but part 2 of it's called it works.
- 54:03Questions he had. He had a second question, which
- 54:05I'm not going to reveal today on this episode of random heaving
- 54:09ramblings. It will be back on next week's
- 54:12episode of rain and even ramblings.
- 54:13And I will hopefully have a guest to talk about it and maybe
- 54:16we will revisit some of what we talked about today and hash it
- 54:21over again. Like a good old-fashioned.
- 54:23Waffle House 3 in the morning scattered smothered and covered
- 54:28hash browns, baby. Let's get these ideas scattered
- 54:31smothered and covered with some I'm capped if you if you will
- 54:36get them, get them. Get them diced.
- 54:40Get them all over man. Just get him get him every which
- 54:43way get the I get the idea scattered.
- 54:45Smothered covered dice chunked. You name it.
- 54:51So that's going to conclude today's random Heathen ramblings
- 54:55podcast, I'm getting. So old that all of the, the I
- 54:57keep doing this number here is because I feel like my nose is
- 55:00tickling. I'm getting sold at, I got the
- 55:02nose in my hairs, in this is TMI, but all the noses in my
- 55:05hairs are tickling me and making me.
- 55:06He So I'm sniffling and I'm, I'm rubbing my nose, and it's in,
- 55:12it's irritating. So this is this is what you have
- 55:15to look forward to boys and girls as you get older, right?
- 55:18You learn some things. And then hair grows out of
- 55:20places that they didn't once grow out of and it becomes
- 55:23really annoying. So anyway, that being said, you
- 55:29all are wonderful. I appreciate your constant and
- 55:31ongoing support. Don't forget.
