- 0:03Speaker 2: Hasday Hester and Hester got it far on a pot.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on the air control live from the Raising Kine Studio,
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's Off the Bench.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Welcome back in our number three, a Friday edition of
- 0:54Speaker 3: Off the Bench, Taylor Sharp and the host show Landra
- 0:56Speaker 3: Villar y Alcasis bizzally along as well. Speaking of the
- 1:01Speaker 3: Bomp music, the only person trying to sabotage O TB
- 1:04Speaker 3: is our guy Joel. Joel thumps that guy.
- 1:09Speaker 2: We were walking out yesterday and he saw this again.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Oh wait, I don't think we told you this. So
- 1:15Speaker 2: after the show yesterday, Mickey Loomis comes up and he's like,
- 1:19Speaker 2: they let y'all out of Baton Rouge and starts like laughing,
- 1:22Speaker 2: or like.
- 1:25Speaker 4: They let you have a job, like.
- 1:27Speaker 3: What jesus Mickey.
- 1:29Speaker 4: So, Mickey, Mickey might be a O TBP one.
- 1:32Speaker 3: We don't know, but I'm sure he loves me.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I don't know if he's heard me talk about I
- 1:37Speaker 2: don't think he would have liked what I had to
- 1:38Speaker 2: say about him.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I'm sure you appreciate my Mickey Loomis fact checks.
- 1:42Speaker 2: When we were leaving, Joel was leaving also, and I
- 1:45Speaker 2: was like, Hey, maybe we can get you on like
- 1:48Speaker 2: next week to recap the Senior Bowl and what you
- 1:51Speaker 2: saw like in terms of scouting for the Saints and
- 1:53Speaker 2: blah blah blah. And he was like, Oh, I'd love to.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm sure he would. I'm sure you would.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Here aware it is all right here now our number
- 2:01Speaker 3: three guys, We're gonna have a little bit of fun.
- 2:03Speaker 3: We'll do an early Super Bowl talk here real quick.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Super Bowl next Sunday, but Jake's gonna be out all
- 2:08Speaker 3: week next week, so kind of want to do like
- 2:11Speaker 3: initial thoughts here on this game. I got some fun
- 2:14Speaker 3: facts for you guys. You're gonna love well have jace
- 2:17Speaker 3: Lejarn of grid Iron Football coming up at nine to
- 2:19Speaker 3: fifteen to win the next segment talk their All Star Bowl,
- 2:23Speaker 3: some of the top players coming up into the high
- 2:26Speaker 3: school ranks, and then kind of get his thoughts on
- 2:28Speaker 3: all things LSU and then we'll close it out like
- 2:30Speaker 3: we do every day with ass the bench. But obviously
- 2:34Speaker 3: Super Bowl next Sunday, Patriots versus Seahawks. Nightmare scenario for me, guys,
- 2:39Speaker 3: probably to my two least favorite teams in the entire NFL.
- 2:42Speaker 3: And it's weird, like I hated the Patriots for twenty
- 2:46Speaker 3: years of my life because of Tom Brady. I love
- 2:49Speaker 3: Tom Brady now and I still hate the New England Patriots.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I think it's a Belichick thing. Not a big Belichick fan,
- 2:54Speaker 3: not a huge Robbertcraft fan either. But look, the Seahawks
- 2:58Speaker 3: had the tougher path. I mean, on pay they probably
- 3:00Speaker 3: have the advantage here and they're they're pretty good sized
- 3:03Speaker 3: favor favorite for the Super Bowl, so that makes sense.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Everyone mentions the Patriots easy schedule, and then on the
- 3:10Speaker 3: flip side of things, the Seahawks had a tough path
- 3:12Speaker 3: and they always find a way to win. Now, the
- 3:14Speaker 3: Patriots in the playoffs, you look at the teams they played,
- 3:16Speaker 3: They're all top five defenses, So I mean that they
- 3:22Speaker 3: didn't have an easy path to get here by any means.
- 3:24Speaker 3: As far as the regular season. Now, when you go
- 3:27Speaker 3: look at what the Patriots did in the regular season,
- 3:30Speaker 3: they played seventeen games. Three of the coaches they played
- 3:33Speaker 3: did not get fired, So fourteen out of the seventeen
- 3:38Speaker 3: coaches that they faced last year got fired. Dave Canalis
- 3:44Speaker 3: with the Panthers he's back, Kellen Moore with the Saints
- 3:47Speaker 3: obviously he's not going anywhere, and then somehow Zach Taylor
- 3:50Speaker 3: with the Bengals. Those are the three coaches they faced
- 3:53Speaker 3: last year that kept their job. So it was easy
- 3:56Speaker 3: in the regular season. That was kind of the knock
- 3:58Speaker 3: on Drake Mays. You know, when they were talk abou
- 4:01Speaker 3: who's gonna win the MVP, it was the Patriots had
- 4:04Speaker 3: beaten one team with a five hundred or better record,
- 4:06Speaker 3: it was the Buffalo Bills, and they went one and
- 4:08Speaker 3: one in that So that's kind of a wash. Like
- 4:14Speaker 3: maybe I'll eat my words on this. I'm just I'm
- 4:16Speaker 3: one of those people that she's like, you're gonna have
- 4:18Speaker 3: to show me you can do it at the highest
- 4:20Speaker 3: level before I take back the things I say about you.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I understand he's been great. Sam Donald's gotta go do
- 4:25Speaker 3: it one more time. Sam Donald wins this game coming
- 4:28Speaker 3: up on Sunday. I'm on board. I'm a Sam Donald believer,
- 4:31Speaker 3: no question about it.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Now.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I think the team around Sam Donald is phenomenal. I
- 4:35Speaker 3: do think New England has the advantage of quarterback, but
- 4:38Speaker 3: every other spot seems to favor Seat in a big way.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I think that with Zach Sharpenayott it does take a hit,
- 4:45Speaker 3: but power running game. Kenneth Walker is one of the
- 4:48Speaker 3: best in the business.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Now.
- 4:49Speaker 3: The Patriots are great as well. I think Treyvon Henderson
- 4:52Speaker 3: was the best rookie running back in the NFL. I
- 4:54Speaker 3: think he's going to wind up being the best rookie
- 4:56Speaker 3: running back out of that draft class when it's all
- 4:57Speaker 3: said and done. Or and Andre Stevenson really good player.
- 5:00Speaker 3: But the power running game the Seahawks have following that
- 5:04Speaker 3: big offensive line, letting Sam Donald just I mean Sam
- 5:08Speaker 3: Donald could take over games, he could manage games. But
- 5:11Speaker 3: Sam Donald does exactly what he needs to do in
- 5:13Speaker 3: that offense, and that's why he's been so successful. Like
- 5:15Speaker 3: you go look at the game against the Seahawks and
- 5:18Speaker 3: nobody's like, oh, they dominated him forty one to six.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Sam Donald was twelve of sixteen for one hundred and
- 5:24Speaker 3: twenty four yards in that game. Sometimes he doesn't have
- 5:27Speaker 3: to do it all, and that's a credit to the
- 5:28Speaker 3: rest of the Seahawks team. Like when the Saints traded
- 5:31Speaker 3: Rashid Shaheed first few weeks, like Shaheed didn't do anything
- 5:34Speaker 3: all right, Okay, no big deal, and he really hasn't
- 5:36Speaker 3: done a ton in the receiving game. Rashid chi Heat
- 5:40Speaker 3: has been a godsend for that team on special teams,
- 5:42Speaker 3: special teams, defense, running the football that wins games where
- 5:46Speaker 3: you and Seahawks do all three of those things very
- 5:48Speaker 3: very well. So they obviously have the advantage in this game.
- 5:52Speaker 3: But I do think New England has the quarterback advantage.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I understand Sam Donald's been great, he's a good story,
- 5:58Speaker 3: but what I've seen from Drake May and or two
- 6:00Speaker 3: is is a lot to be excited about. But here's
- 6:05Speaker 3: a nugget for you guys.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Two.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Actually, the New England Patriots are the first team in
- 6:13Speaker 3: NFL history to go a perfect nine and oh on
- 6:16Speaker 3: the road. That's regular season and postseason, so they can
- 6:19Speaker 3: win away from their backyard, which is important here in
- 6:22Speaker 3: the Super Bowl. Also, a landra is gonna love this one.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Every time this century the Super Bowl is played between
- 6:31Speaker 3: two teams, one traveling East and one traveling West. The
- 6:36Speaker 3: team traveling West wins. And this goes back how it
- 6:41Speaker 3: goes back to two thousand and two. This is little
- 6:43Speaker 3: graphic every single time, Like I.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Don't understand how people come up with that stat.
- 6:48Speaker 3: When the Super Bowl was in New Orleans in two
- 6:50Speaker 3: thousand and two, the Rams traveled east, the Patriots traveled west.
- 6:54Speaker 3: They won. Patriots are traveling west in this game and
- 6:57Speaker 3: they're a perfect nine and oh on the road.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I don't get that. I give find that.
- 7:02Speaker 3: I gave Hunt this stat before the playoffs even started.
- 7:05Speaker 3: I told him to bet on the Seahawks. He didn't
- 7:06Speaker 3: believe me, he said, he's what was the one about
- 7:09Speaker 3: the Pope's that's the one. That's what I'm getting at.
- 7:12Speaker 3: So in two thousand and six there was a new pope.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It was Pope Benedict. Seattle Seahawks made the Super Bowl
- 7:17Speaker 3: that year. Twenty fourteen, new Pope, The Seattle Seahawks made
- 7:23Speaker 3: the Super Bowl that year. What happened this summer boom?
- 7:25Speaker 3: New Pope, Seattle Seahawks back in the super Bowl. That's
- 7:28Speaker 3: three times in a row, guys. And it's not like, oh,
- 7:30Speaker 3: it's every four years every No, it's just when the
- 7:31Speaker 3: pope dies and they elect a new one. Yeah, it's
- 7:33Speaker 3: at random, and it still works out in Seahawks favor.
- 7:36Speaker 4: That's God giving you a lot right.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Well, now, if you're wondering, oh, the Seahawks are gonna win.
- 7:40Speaker 3: They're one and one in the in the last two,
- 7:42Speaker 3: so I mean they they lost in O six. They
- 7:44Speaker 3: won in the previous time. It was against the Denver Broncos,
- 7:48Speaker 3: so they're won in one in that game. But they
- 7:50Speaker 3: make it every time there's a new pope. So next
- 7:52Speaker 3: time we have a new pope, Oh, sprinkle a little
- 7:54Speaker 3: bit of money on the Seattle Seahawks to win the
- 7:56Speaker 3: Super Bowl. But yeah, nightmare scenario for me. Team wise.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I've never been a fan of either of these teams.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And if you think that you don't want to watch
- 8:06Speaker 3: this Super Bowl or you're not interested, I want you
- 8:09Speaker 3: to think about how Tyler Lockett feels. Tyler Lockett spent
- 8:13Speaker 3: a decade on the Seattle Seahawks, and it wasn't like
- 8:16Speaker 3: he was a scrub. Like he was a Pro bowler
- 8:18Speaker 3: in twenty fifteen. So he was in Seattle from twenty
- 8:22Speaker 3: fifteen until twenty twenty four. Last season, last time the
- 8:26Speaker 3: Seahawks went to the Super Bowl was fourteen, so he
- 8:29Speaker 3: missed that last Super Bowl. Went on an incredible ten
- 8:33Speaker 3: year run with them left in the offseason they go
- 8:35Speaker 3: back to the Super Bowl. He had been there two
- 8:37Speaker 3: years and was a season short of two Super Bowls.
- 8:40Speaker 3: If that's not bad enough that two teams he played
- 8:42Speaker 3: for this year with the Titans and the Raiders, who
- 8:44Speaker 3: are probably the two worst teams in the NFL, but
- 8:47Speaker 3: to off a break for him as far as this
- 8:50Speaker 3: game goes, though, I keep wanting to pick the Patriots
- 8:54Speaker 3: in this game. And I don't know why because I
- 8:55Speaker 3: think Seattle's better. That may change next week, but I
- 9:00Speaker 3: trust Mike Rabel and I understand it's his first year
- 9:03Speaker 3: in New England. But you got to remember, this is
- 9:05Speaker 3: a Mike Vrabel that played under Belichick, he played with Brady,
- 9:09Speaker 3: He's played in these big games. He's won these big
- 9:11Speaker 3: games as a player, obviously not a coach. But when
- 9:15Speaker 3: he gets hired on with the Tennessee Titans, he takes
- 9:18Speaker 3: them to the one seed. Not only are they the
- 9:21Speaker 3: one seed, they're the one seed with Ryan Tannehill as
- 9:24Speaker 3: their quarterback, and they had every opportunity to go to
- 9:28Speaker 3: the Super Bowl. Some things didn't fall their way. But
- 9:31Speaker 3: think about the Tennessee Titans being the one seed in
- 9:33Speaker 3: the AFC with Ryan Tannehill as their quarterback. Since the
- 9:37Speaker 3: Titans moved on from Ryan Tannehill a few years ago.
- 9:40Speaker 3: He hasn't even been back in the NFL. And look
- 9:42Speaker 3: where they're at now. They're a bottom feeder. They've been
- 9:45Speaker 3: one of the worst teams in the NFL over this
- 9:47Speaker 3: last three to four year span. And here's Mike Rabel
- 9:50Speaker 3: taking the Patriots to the Super Bowl in year one
- 9:52Speaker 3: in New England. I mean, he was the talk of
- 9:55Speaker 3: the town last year, right, Like, there were a lot
- 9:56Speaker 3: of people down here in New Orleans was like, hey,
- 9:58Speaker 3: could you go after Mike Rabel. The Patriots snatched him
- 10:01Speaker 3: up so quick. He was the first coach off the
- 10:02Speaker 3: board last year. I mean, that's how much they believed
- 10:06Speaker 3: in him and what he could do in this city.
- 10:08Speaker 3: And you know, it's like, if you're a Patriots fan,
- 10:12Speaker 3: you're loving this. If you're a fan of any other
- 10:13Speaker 3: fan base, you hate this. Because think about all the
- 10:15Speaker 3: teams out there, yes, the teams I routed for in general,
- 10:20Speaker 3: that haven't made it to the Super Bowl. You see
- 10:22Speaker 3: the Patriots form a dynasty, win six super Bowls. The
- 10:26Speaker 3: greatest player in NFL history leaves wins the Super Bowl. Elsewhere,
- 10:29Speaker 3: you fire your Hall of Fame coach, you burn it
- 10:32Speaker 3: all to the ground. And you build it right back
- 10:34Speaker 3: up and get back to the super Bowl before some
- 10:36Speaker 3: of these teams even had an opportunity to go. Think
- 10:38Speaker 3: about how well run of an organization that is. And
- 10:41Speaker 3: you can say what you want about Robert Kraft and
- 10:44Speaker 3: all this. I understand everybody you know gives all the
- 10:47Speaker 3: flowers to the Rooney family and the Steelers for how
- 10:50Speaker 3: that organization's ran. And it's great. I don't think there's
- 10:52Speaker 3: a better run organization in the NFL than the New
- 10:54Speaker 3: England Patriots. And I don't even like the Patriots, but
- 10:58Speaker 3: what they have done, like, let's tear it down to
- 11:01Speaker 3: the base and build it back up almost perfectly in
- 11:07Speaker 3: such a short period of time. I I mean, Belichick's
- 11:09Speaker 3: only been gone two years. Like a lot of people
- 11:11Speaker 3: forget about that because he's been in the media so
- 11:13Speaker 3: much and he's done so much since then. They had
- 11:15Speaker 3: Girodmeo for a year last year, it didn't work out,
- 11:17Speaker 3: it got rid of him. They hired Mike Vrabel. This
- 11:19Speaker 3: is year one for Vrabel. So Belichick's only been gone
- 11:22Speaker 3: two years. So you move on from Brady and Belichick
- 11:25Speaker 3: two years later you're back in the super Bowl. That
- 11:28Speaker 3: gets a lot of opposing fan base is Matt. I'm
- 11:30Speaker 3: sure the Patriots love it though. But you know, we'll
- 11:32Speaker 3: get into this a lot more next week, but just
- 11:35Speaker 3: wanted to kind of give surface level thoughts there. I
- 11:38Speaker 3: don't know why I keep leaning Patriots in this game.
- 11:40Speaker 3: I do think Seattle is the better team, but we'll
- 11:42Speaker 3: break it down more as next week goes along. Okay,
- 11:46Speaker 3: we're gonna take a quick time out right now. Coming
- 11:49Speaker 3: up on the other side of this break, I got
- 11:51Speaker 3: Jace Lejeern if Gridin football is gonna hop one. They
- 11:53Speaker 3: hosted an All American Bowl for Gritar football a few
- 11:57Speaker 3: weeks back. We'll talk about some of the top prospects
- 11:59Speaker 3: in that game aims to watch and I'll just get
- 12:01Speaker 3: his thoughts on all things LSU. That's coming up next
- 12:03Speaker 3: here on Off the bench. Off the bench, all right, we.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Are glad to be working with First American Bank and Trust.

- 12:23Speaker 5: It's local people helping local people.
- 12:26Speaker 6: We're not talking about, you know, some huge office in
- 12:28Speaker 6: the northeast of the West Coast and the Midwest.
- 12:30Speaker 5: We're talking about right here locally.
- 12:32Speaker 6: That's why they've been a banking tradition in the area

- 13:28Speaker 1: This is Off the Bench.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Without welcome back in our number three Friday edition of
- 13:42Speaker 3: Off the Bench. Taylor Sharp here with you, going out
- 13:45Speaker 3: to the phone lines right now, bringing on my guy
- 13:47Speaker 3: Jace Ljerne from grid Aron Football Jas. How are you
- 13:49Speaker 3: this morning?
- 13:51Speaker 9: Doing good? Taylor's been a minute. Hope you're having yourself
- 13:53Speaker 9: a good new year so far.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Dude, it has been a minute. I missed you. It's
- 13:57Speaker 3: no more episcopal football, Like what are what are we
- 13:59Speaker 3: gonna do with our lives here? But speaking of football,
- 14:03Speaker 3: you guys have grit ourn football y'all. A little all
- 14:05Speaker 3: star game a few weeks back. How'd it go?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Oh?
- 14:09Speaker 9: Very busy? It was a very busy event, I could.
- 14:12Speaker 9: I could say that for sure, Taylor. We had about
- 14:15Speaker 9: one hundred sixty senior players and attendance from five different
- 14:19Speaker 9: states across the country, and we had four different teams,
- 14:22Speaker 9: so we actually had like a little bit of a
- 14:23Speaker 9: tournament elimination for the four teams, so we had three games,
- 14:28Speaker 9: including a championship round. So it was a lot of
- 14:31Speaker 9: great football. Was at LSU Louisian Christian University, and we
- 14:34Speaker 9: actually had a junior high game as well. That way
- 14:37Speaker 9: we can cover a lot of the players that are
- 14:39Speaker 9: on the rise as well from sixth or eighth grade.
- 14:41Speaker 9: But we also had the senior game that's really our
- 14:44Speaker 9: main event through that day on December thirtieth. But it
- 14:47Speaker 9: was a great event.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Who standouts we have? Man, you'll got any big time
- 14:51Speaker 3: players out there?
- 14:52Speaker 9: Oh? Yeah, we have a lot of talent. This year,
- 14:55Speaker 9: it was plenty of really great talents. And what the
- 14:57Speaker 9: talent has been better every single year since I've been
- 14:59Speaker 9: there at grid Iron Football, and in this year, we've
- 15:02Speaker 9: actually had a lot of LSU fans will probably remember
- 15:05Speaker 9: the last name Randall, Marcus Randall. His son actually played
- 15:08Speaker 9: in our bowl game, Cayden Randall. And you know, he
- 15:11Speaker 9: actually was a defensive MVP of the bowl game. He
- 15:14Speaker 9: was making a bunch of hard hits throughout the game.
- 15:17Speaker 9: He's actually signed to play at Southeastern Louisiana University. Uh,
- 15:20Speaker 9: we had a scambia in Pensacola. That's actually where Emitt
- 15:24Speaker 9: Smith played high school football at. They had a defensive
- 15:27Speaker 9: lineman Andrew in Battle. He was pretty much unblockable the
- 15:31Speaker 9: entire game. And Marshall South Florida. Some of those types
- 15:35Speaker 9: of schools are looking at him. Johnny McCarty, he's actually
- 15:38Speaker 9: receiver from Saint Michael High School right here in Baton Verge.
- 15:41Speaker 9: He actually made a little bit of national headlines. It
- 15:44Speaker 9: was actually when you got moss right, yeah right, you know,
- 15:50Speaker 9: one handed catch and pretty acrobat catch as well. But yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 9: we had a lot of great players. Uh that took
- 15:57Speaker 9: place Zion Lee. He's at You're gonna play football at
- 16:01Speaker 9: the Naval Academy and running back from Monkey High School.
- 16:04Speaker 9: So we're with the talent. It just gets better and
- 16:06Speaker 9: better each and every year. And these are gonna be
- 16:09Speaker 9: a lot of prospects that you might not hear about,
- 16:11Speaker 9: you know, immelily. But because of the transfer portal, I
- 16:14Speaker 9: think that's what this Green Iron Football Game really helps.
- 16:17Speaker 9: You'll see these guys the next two or three years,
- 16:19Speaker 9: and that's where we've seen from the bowl game of
- 16:22Speaker 9: those guys going up the charts.
- 16:23Speaker 10: Really.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, I'm glad you mentioned the portal because that
- 16:26Speaker 3: kind of gets into what I want to talk about next. Look,
- 16:28Speaker 3: obviously you know a lot of those guys, those are
- 16:31Speaker 3: the names to watch coming out throughout the high school ranks.
- 16:34Speaker 3: But Jason, as far as college football goes, transition a
- 16:37Speaker 3: little bit to LSU, like it has been all about
- 16:39Speaker 3: the transfer portal for about three or four weeks now
- 16:42Speaker 3: really since it opened, and LSU finishes with the whale
- 16:45Speaker 3: of a class, I mean, number one class in the country,
- 16:47Speaker 3: forty two transfer portal signees. If I had to ask you, like, okay,
- 16:51Speaker 3: letter grade, what do you give Lane Kiffin and the
- 16:54Speaker 3: staff first transfer portal class.
- 16:57Speaker 9: Oh, I have to give themselves an a. I mean
- 16:59Speaker 9: just what they were able to do, especially because you
- 17:02Speaker 9: come into a situation like Lane and you have a
- 17:06Speaker 9: lot of players that are leaving and you're trying to
- 17:08Speaker 9: figure out which guys are coming back and staying and
- 17:10Speaker 9: and you have a lot of holes you have to
- 17:12Speaker 9: fill in your roster when you're whenever you have a
- 17:14Speaker 9: coach and change, especially uh you're being coming a new
- 17:18Speaker 9: coach of the of the team. But really have to
- 17:20Speaker 9: give itself today with the class. I mean, I don't
- 17:22Speaker 9: think you can really do a better job considering the
- 17:26Speaker 9: circumstances that Lane Kiffen and the staff did.
- 17:29Speaker 11: Uh.
- 17:29Speaker 9: They pretty much reloaded at you know, pretty much every
- 17:32Speaker 9: position you look on offensively and defensively. And you look
- 17:35Speaker 9: at they got three really talented quarterbacks. Obviously Sam Levitt,
- 17:38Speaker 9: you know, leads the headlines the class and the wide receivers.
- 17:42Speaker 9: I'm really interested in spring football. Would go see the
- 17:45Speaker 9: Tigers in the spring proasses, they wich which of these
- 17:48Speaker 9: receivers stands out? Because they got themselves like nine of
- 17:51Speaker 9: receivers from the transfer portal. And you know, I think
- 17:53Speaker 9: they did a better job and the offensive line was
- 17:55Speaker 9: obviously weakness last year, and I think they got themselves
- 17:58Speaker 9: at least two starters from that group when we talk
- 18:01Speaker 9: about you know, Jordan Seton and Devin Harper. But I'm
- 18:05Speaker 9: actually more excited to about the defensive side and the
- 18:08Speaker 9: additions that got on that side of football. I mean, Princeville,
- 18:12Speaker 9: you my mio, and I mean there's a big time
- 18:15Speaker 9: pickup for them on the defensive end, and really the
- 18:17Speaker 9: two Ole Miss guys, him and TJ.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Dottary.
- 18:19Speaker 9: I think it's gonna be two big time pickups for
- 18:21Speaker 9: the Tigers and Todd Benneville and in the secondary as well.
- 18:24Speaker 9: Say you go with a really great group in the
- 18:27Speaker 9: back end of the defense. I'm really excited about the
- 18:29Speaker 9: transfi world class.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad you mentioned the defense, you know, to
- 18:33Speaker 3: start the show, was talking about a little bit earlier,
- 18:35Speaker 3: like the top transfers. Ti Bennefield might be my favorite
- 18:38Speaker 3: player in this transfer portal class. Like I understand, it
- 18:40Speaker 3: wasn't maybe not a huge need because you already had
- 18:43Speaker 3: Deshaun Spears and Tamarcus Cooley, but that's going to mean
- 18:46Speaker 3: so much to your defense because he's so versatile. I
- 18:48Speaker 3: love that signing. So let's get away from individual players.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Maybe look at uh position groups as a whole. Like
- 18:55Speaker 3: obviously kicking in the staff, I mean I just mentioned
- 18:57Speaker 3: forty two players. They they dominated in every aspect, But
- 19:01Speaker 3: is there one position group like remember last year's edge rusher, Right,
- 19:04Speaker 3: you brought in Pyeburn Butler, Patrick Payton. I mean, is
- 19:07Speaker 3: there any position group this year? You're like, yeah, all
- 19:09Speaker 3: those guys can make an impact.
- 19:11Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean I really I can look away from
- 19:14Speaker 9: the wide receiver position because you look at some of
- 19:17Speaker 9: these guys, right, you have a little bit of a
- 19:19Speaker 9: mix of everything. Because you know, Lane Kiffin likes to speed.
- 19:22Speaker 9: He's got these speedy guys at the wide receiver position.
- 19:24Speaker 9: He's also got some length at the receiver position too,
- 19:26Speaker 9: and it's improven commodities as well. So now you look
- 19:30Speaker 9: at I mean, Winston Watkin is another old miss guy,
- 19:33Speaker 9: Trey Wilson from Florida, I mean Jackson Harrison. Why Chase Brown.
- 19:37Speaker 9: I pretty much figured that at least it's gonna be
- 19:40Speaker 9: hard to really take a guess who's going to really
- 19:42Speaker 9: be starting. But I feel like Jase Brown's gonna at
- 19:44Speaker 9: least be one of those starting receivers in that rotation
- 19:47Speaker 9: or you know, at least going to be in the mix.
- 19:48Speaker 9: So I feel like at the wide receiver position, I
- 19:51Speaker 9: know the coaches really like Roman mother Shiit as welcome Troy,
- 19:54Speaker 9: So that really stands out to me the most when
- 19:57Speaker 9: we talk about a position group, and and really you
- 20:01Speaker 9: got to also commend them for the quarterback position because
- 20:03Speaker 9: for a while there was no scholarship quarterback on the roster,
- 20:07Speaker 9: and I feel like you have three guys. I mean,
- 20:09Speaker 9: Sam Levitt, you've seen what he can do at the
- 20:11Speaker 9: Arizona State and going back was at the track record
- 20:15Speaker 9: of getting Arizona State quarterbacks has been pretty good for LSU.
- 20:19Speaker 9: But you look at the back of quarterbacks as well,
- 20:21Speaker 9: in Long Street from USC and Landing Car from ME.
- 20:24Speaker 9: I like both those two guys as well once Levit
- 20:27Speaker 9: does leave. So I mean, I think, really look at
- 20:29Speaker 9: the two skilled positions. Here is what really drew my interest.
- 20:33Speaker 9: And we talk about this transfer port class'd, I'm glad.
- 20:35Speaker 3: You talked about the quarterback spot. Like, look, Sam Levitt
- 20:37Speaker 3: was my favorite quarterback in the transfer portal. I mean,
- 20:40Speaker 3: I think, you know fully healthy, most people probably feel
- 20:42Speaker 3: the same way him and Brendan Soarsby, Like, I think
- 20:44Speaker 3: those two guys are interchangeable. I understand that, you know,
- 20:47Speaker 3: lsu Vans were upset when when Soresby big Texas Tech.
- 20:50Speaker 3: That was early on in the process, and like if
- 20:52Speaker 3: you followed Soresby, like it was always going to be
- 20:55Speaker 3: Texas Tech. But you know, you wind up getting Levitt,
- 20:58Speaker 3: who not going to participate in spring ball. But I'm
- 21:01Speaker 3: not concerned about that as much like he could still
- 21:04Speaker 3: throw with the receivers, he could still learn the playbook.
- 21:06Speaker 3: He's just not gonna be out there full contact, which
- 21:09Speaker 3: what quarterbacks in full contact are in spring anyways. But
- 21:12Speaker 3: as far as the other two guys go, who'sa on
- 21:14Speaker 3: long Street? Land and Clark? What do you make of
- 21:16Speaker 3: both of those guys because they're both talented, but you
- 21:19Speaker 3: see Whusa on Long Street? I mean, the former five
- 21:21Speaker 3: star didn't play a ton last year. I believe he
- 21:23Speaker 3: played in about three games last year for USC. Then
- 21:26Speaker 3: you have Land and Clark from Elon, an under recruited guy,
- 21:30Speaker 3: but he's a baller. His tapes impressive. He put up
- 21:32Speaker 3: a heck of a lot of numbers last year at Elon.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I think the spring's gonna be huge for both of
- 21:37Speaker 3: them because they're battling for that number two spot and
- 21:40Speaker 3: you're a playaway from Sam Levitt re injuring that foot
- 21:43Speaker 3: to getting in there. Do you what do you think
- 21:45Speaker 3: of the battle that's gonna happen between those two?
- 21:47Speaker 9: Noah, I agree. I think really the backup quarterback position
- 21:50Speaker 9: is gonna be really looked at even more than it
- 21:53Speaker 9: usually is, just because you talked about you know, Levit's
- 21:55Speaker 9: injury history. But yeah, it's gonna be interesting to watch.
- 21:59Speaker 9: I mean, in the good thing is all three of
- 22:01Speaker 9: these guys, if you know, they're pretty much interchangeable what
- 22:04Speaker 9: Lane Kivin wants to do.
- 22:05Speaker 5: I mean, these are two.
- 22:06Speaker 9: Guys that were dual threat guys. They can beat you,
- 22:09Speaker 9: They can beat defenses with their arm, they can beat
- 22:11Speaker 9: defenses with their legs. Those are the type of quarterbacks
- 22:13Speaker 9: that obviously that Kiffin would like in his offense. And
- 22:17Speaker 9: you saw, I mean you pretty much trust h Charlie White,
- 22:21Speaker 9: you trust Lane Kiffen their quarterback violation because you saw
- 22:25Speaker 9: what they took a chance on trend at Chamis and
- 22:27Speaker 9: you saw what happened there and then you know landing
- 22:30Speaker 9: card definitely gives me a lot of those you know
- 22:32Speaker 9: type of similarities as a guy that's you know, really
- 22:35Speaker 9: under the radar. But really, I mean, I think it's
- 22:38Speaker 9: a perfect fit for his offense. And if he's on
- 22:40Speaker 9: Long Street, you know his ability as well running the
- 22:43Speaker 9: football and being a five star quarterback too. So seeing
- 22:46Speaker 9: both these two guys in spring football's really important because
- 22:49Speaker 9: I truly believe there's a good chance you'll see you know,
- 22:51Speaker 9: one or even both of them a lot this year
- 22:53Speaker 9: because of uh, you know, Levitt and his injury history
- 22:56Speaker 9: in the past. But I really like all three pickups.
- 22:59Speaker 9: Tell what you did getting those quarterbacks.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Chase Joon of Gridain Football our guest right now. I'm
- 23:04Speaker 3: glad you mentioned Lane and Clark kind of being an
- 23:05Speaker 3: under the radar guy. That's where I kind of want
- 23:07Speaker 3: to go next. I mean, you know, like take take
- 23:09Speaker 3: quarterback out of it. You know, all the big time guys.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Is there a guy that you know, maybe a lot
- 23:13Speaker 3: of people aren't talking about that you think can flash
- 23:15Speaker 3: for these guys.
- 23:17Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean there's a couple of guys on here
- 23:20Speaker 9: for example, I mean there is there's Dylan Jones from Wiscott, Wisconsin,
- 23:24Speaker 9: you know, as a running back. We haven't really talked
- 23:26Speaker 9: too much of the running mass because you you kind
- 23:28Speaker 9: of know what you get at the top of that
- 23:30Speaker 9: pecking order coming back and Kayden Durham and and obviously
- 23:34Speaker 9: Harlem Barry, but you need some depth there as well
- 23:37Speaker 9: at that position. So I think lsu I mean that
- 23:40Speaker 9: kind of went on our notice or under the radar.
- 23:42Speaker 9: We're getting that some of those guys at the running
- 23:44Speaker 9: back position, and and Gilry from du Tauh and Rod
- 23:47Speaker 9: Ganey from Charlotte, So those gonna be guys look at.
- 23:50Speaker 9: And uh, Jordan Ross, I think he's another guy to
- 23:52Speaker 9: kind of look at from Tennessee. Uh, And I think
- 23:55Speaker 9: a change of pace and change the scenery for him
- 23:57Speaker 9: is gonna be really good. But this is a guy
- 23:59Speaker 9: with plenty of talent him and he was a five
- 24:00Speaker 9: star coming out of high school. And now I mean,
- 24:04Speaker 9: I think he can really be into rotation. So watch
- 24:06Speaker 9: out for some of those guys on the defensive line.
- 24:08Speaker 9: We all know about Princeville, but some of these other
- 24:11Speaker 9: guys like like Jordan Ross and Leek Blocked and guys
- 24:15Speaker 9: like that Achilles Woods. I'll try I'll probably keep an
- 24:18Speaker 9: eye on them as well.
- 24:20Speaker 3: All right, Jason, one more for you. You know, I
- 24:22Speaker 3: was just a second ago talking about how Todd Bennerfield
- 24:24Speaker 3: might be my favorite player in this class. Like obviously,
- 24:27Speaker 3: you know, we all know about Levitt, but is there
- 24:29Speaker 3: one guy in this class you're like, if somebody makes
- 24:31Speaker 3: an immediate impact, it's this guy, Like, who's maybe your
- 24:34Speaker 3: favorite player they signed?
- 24:36Speaker 9: Oh yeah, I mean he's definitely one because you're looking
- 24:39Speaker 9: for somebody and he's I probably agree with you there,
- 24:42Speaker 9: because he's somebody that you can put in the star position.
- 24:45Speaker 9: You know, you can put him in the box, and
- 24:48Speaker 9: that's something that's a position that you know, LSU really
- 24:51Speaker 9: takes a lot of pride in at that star position.
- 24:53Speaker 9: We get Harold Perkins in the year's past, so you
- 24:56Speaker 9: can line up Time Benningfield pretty much if you need
- 24:59Speaker 9: him in the you put them in, you know, as
- 25:01Speaker 9: a deep safety, you can put them there as well.
- 25:04Speaker 9: So his versatility I think is gonna be really huge
- 25:07Speaker 9: for the secondary. And this is really a strength for
- 25:09Speaker 9: this OLSE football team coming back. But I also really
- 25:12Speaker 9: like TJ.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Dottary.
- 25:13Speaker 9: I mean I really like that pickup as well. I mean,
- 25:16Speaker 9: he's won the leading tackers I think he believe he
- 25:18Speaker 9: was lean tackle with the SEC last year, and you Pitt,
- 25:21Speaker 9: you really place him with Devon Keys and with Weeks
- 25:25Speaker 9: that that lineback and Creer is gonna be pretty scary,
- 25:27Speaker 9: and uh taking up t J. Dottary, that's that's a
- 25:30Speaker 9: really good pickup for this defense.
- 25:32Speaker 5: And play Baker Jace.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Year one before we get you out of here. Like
- 25:35Speaker 3: expectations for Lane Kiffin. I mean, after you put together
- 25:38Speaker 3: this portal class is it? Is it playoffs or bush
- 25:40Speaker 3: You're one?
- 25:42Speaker 9: Yeah, you don't. I mean you don't really want to
- 25:44Speaker 9: stay playoffs or bus you're one, But it kind of
- 25:46Speaker 9: almost feels like like it because you see what Indiana
- 25:49Speaker 9: has done in only two years, and you've seen what,
- 25:52Speaker 9: uh what other teams have done. It's just a sure
- 25:54Speaker 9: amount of time because of the transfer portal, and it
- 25:57Speaker 9: was a little bit of a shorter window because you
- 25:59Speaker 9: got the expand play off and you can get these
- 26:01Speaker 9: guys you can win right away in the transfer portal,
- 26:04Speaker 9: so you know what to expect from Lane Kiff and offense.
- 26:07Speaker 9: You know they won't score some points and I know
- 26:09Speaker 9: I have a question about that. And then you bring
- 26:11Speaker 9: Blake Baker back. You don't know how much you got
- 26:14Speaker 9: Blake Baker left when you're coaching staff. So to be
- 26:17Speaker 9: honest with you, it kind of does feel like, even
- 26:19Speaker 9: though this is year one, it does feel like a
- 26:22Speaker 9: playoff or bus And I know that the LSU fans are.
- 26:25Speaker 9: I've been pretty hungry for ls you get back into
- 26:28Speaker 9: the playoffs. So a really a lot of proven talent
- 26:31Speaker 9: from the transfer portal and with this transfer portal class,
- 26:35Speaker 9: you can kind of see now that, Yeah, this is
- 26:37Speaker 9: that type of year for all Is Shoe to make
- 26:40Speaker 9: the playoffs, and you know, I know that will be
- 26:43Speaker 9: a great first impression for Lane Kiff in his first year.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Jason Football Jays, thanks so much for hopping on with us.
- 26:49Speaker 9: Man Absolutely time Taylor.

- 28:20Speaker 1: Gets off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 28:25Speaker 1: You expect me to just what if you.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Not Jacob Hester or Matt Flynn. They decided to take
- 28:32Speaker 3: this Friday all Alandra was the only one cool enough
- 28:34Speaker 3: to actually show up after being out there in mobile.
- 28:36Speaker 3: So Taylor Sharp here with the Elandra Villa Reale, Cassie Spizzally.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Uh had a little bit of an early wake up
- 28:42Speaker 3: call this morning. Sorry about that, Cassie. You can blame
- 28:44Speaker 3: Matt Flatt, not me.
- 28:47Speaker 5: Andandra.
- 28:48Speaker 3: You keep hestering me about this show.
- 28:51Speaker 4: I pester everybody about this.
- 28:52Speaker 3: The Traders. Okay, so get it off your chest. What
- 28:56Speaker 3: is it?
- 28:56Speaker 4: Jacob Matt got it all?
- 28:58Speaker 2: Like, what do we have here? It's the best show
- 29:01Speaker 2: of all time and it's a great show. Okay, It's
- 29:05Speaker 2: like the best show on TV right now.
- 29:07Speaker 4: It really is.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:09Speaker 2: So it's basically like a murder mystery clue type situation.
- 29:15Speaker 2: There's a bunch of people living in a mansion, Alan
- 29:18Speaker 2: Cummings mansion, and three of them are traders. This season
- 29:23Speaker 2: there's a secret trader though, and nobody knew, not even
- 29:26Speaker 2: the audience knew who the trade the secret trader was. Yes,
- 29:30Speaker 2: and then so the traders know who each other are,
- 29:35Speaker 2: but nobody else knows who it is. Every night they
- 29:37Speaker 2: kill somebody out of the they kill somebody off the castle.
- 29:40Speaker 2: And then every night there's also a round table traders included,
- 29:44Speaker 2: where everybody is.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Like calling each other out each other out not like
- 29:48Speaker 3: that that seems like.
- 29:49Speaker 2: A perfect Yeah, it's so funny because everyone's so paranoid
- 29:54Speaker 2: and they're so loud and so wrong, like they have
- 29:57Speaker 2: no idea who they are, and then they like make
- 30:00Speaker 2: got stuff to convince themselves that somebody who's a faithful
- 30:03Speaker 2: as a trader.
- 30:03Speaker 4: It's so funny. Is the best show on TV right now?
- 30:06Speaker 10: Rob?
- 30:07Speaker 4: This guy Rob is on it.
- 30:09Speaker 2: He might be one of the I still think season
- 30:11Speaker 2: one SuRie she was the best trader that I've seen,
- 30:15Speaker 2: but Rob is giving her a run for her money.
- 30:17Speaker 2: And Rob is also very attractive.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Okay, are these celebrities?
- 30:23Speaker 2: They are celebrities. They're like reality TV people. Yeah, so
- 30:29Speaker 2: they like separate them. So there's gamers so like Survivor
- 30:32Speaker 2: Big Brother stuff like that, and then there's like Daniel
- 30:36Speaker 2: Saine hashtag justice for Ron on here.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Yeah, justice for Ron.
- 30:40Speaker 2: They said he was a trader just because he was
- 30:42Speaker 2: super quiet and he wasn't freak.
- 30:47Speaker 4: It is like housewives are on there too.
- 30:50Speaker 2: It's reality TV people, but the first season was like
- 30:54Speaker 2: half celebrities and then half normal people.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Okay, so I.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Really liked that one because it was just so funny.
- 31:01Speaker 2: But yeah, I think this is like one of the
- 31:03Speaker 2: most entertaining shows on TV right now.
- 31:05Speaker 3: So I know it's highly unlikely, but I guess it's possible.
- 31:09Speaker 3: What happens if like there's three traders, four traders have
- 31:12Speaker 3: many and like they all just get eliminated within the
- 31:14Speaker 3: first four weeks.
- 31:15Speaker 4: I don't know, like just hasn't happened yet.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but I guess it's possible.
- 31:19Speaker 2: It's just over faithful's like they split the money up
- 31:23Speaker 2: or something like that, because they're also doing challenges, right,
- 31:26Speaker 2: and like every challenge you can win money toward the pot.
- 31:29Speaker 4: So like if there's a trade.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And then like if there's two traders left or like
- 31:33Speaker 2: three traders left, they can decide if they want to
- 31:36Speaker 2: like throw each other under the bus or split it
- 31:38Speaker 2: amongst themselves.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Cassie, it's great. Should we should we give should we
- 31:41Speaker 3: give Traders a show?
- 31:42Speaker 5: What do you think?
- 31:44Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 31:45Speaker 11: I I feel like I might like it, but I
- 31:48Speaker 11: don't really watch like reality.
- 31:50Speaker 3: That's true, You're not You're not a big TV person anyways,
- 31:52Speaker 3: like in general, Oh.
- 31:54Speaker 11: No, I binge watch shows. I don't watch like reality TV.
- 31:57Speaker 3: See I love Uh, I like I like Love is
- 32:00Speaker 3: Blind Like that's that's that's a shame with like, I
- 32:03Speaker 3: don't care who admits it. Look, I do hot yoga
- 32:05Speaker 3: and watch Love is Blind people. Okay, it's twenty twenty six.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I can do what I want. Yeah, And I hate
- 32:12Speaker 3: to tell you you're wrong though.
- 32:13Speaker 4: No, I'm not. I don't care.
- 32:16Speaker 3: See she says Traders is the best show on TV.
- 32:19Speaker 3: It's not the best show on TV.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Is the Pit?
- 32:22Speaker 4: No, Traders is better?
- 32:24Speaker 3: I've never Okay, So the pit it takes place at
- 32:26Speaker 3: just like some generic Pittsburgh medical center. Okay, And they're
- 32:29Speaker 3: in like the trauma room, the operating center, like worse
- 32:31Speaker 3: are the worst? Right? The entire season is one bit
- 32:36Speaker 3: like season one episode one starts as at six am,
- 32:39Speaker 3: seven am, so like it takes you real time, and
- 32:41Speaker 3: I mean they're this back to back to back, and
- 32:42Speaker 3: like they don't pull any punches either. It's not like
- 32:45Speaker 3: a grae anatomy where like everybody everybody lives. There's a
- 32:50Speaker 3: bunch of drama. No no, no, I mean the season one,
- 32:53Speaker 3: like you lose multiple people per episode. Like it's like
- 32:57Speaker 3: it's like harditting, yeah, but it's it's not like a
- 33:00Speaker 3: it's not real. Well it's not real though, like it
- 33:02Speaker 3: seems like it's real, but like they were still actors
- 33:04Speaker 3: playing parts, you know what I mean. But like they
- 33:06Speaker 3: had a mass shooting at a music festival in Pittsburgh
- 33:10Speaker 3: and like that was two episodes worth of like bring it,
- 33:12Speaker 3: like it is like real life stuff. It's it's intense,
- 33:15Speaker 3: but I love it because there's like six or seven
- 33:19Speaker 3: things happen in per episode. It's like you gotta go
- 33:21Speaker 3: to each room and each room and it's just like
- 33:23Speaker 3: it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Like
- 33:24Speaker 3: I love it so much that, like, Okay, a lot
- 33:28Speaker 3: of people two bubb used to make fun of me
- 33:30Speaker 3: a lot because like I don't watch any TV shows,
- 33:32Speaker 3: Like I watch a ton of movies, no TV shows.
- 33:36Speaker 3: I couldn't get anything done around the house because of
- 33:39Speaker 3: this show, Like we would watch it every night in
- 33:41Speaker 3: my Victoria, you want to watch the pit like we're
- 33:43Speaker 3: watching it together, which trying to get that woman to
- 33:46Speaker 3: watch any TV show with me is impossible. She's like, no,
- 33:50Speaker 3: you'll just fall asleep, and I'm gonna watch it by myself.
- 33:52Speaker 3: I'm like, then restart the episode, Victoria, You're gonna because
- 33:59Speaker 3: it's it's guys, It's something we could do together as
- 34:01Speaker 3: a couple, Okay, Like do I want to fall are?
- 34:04Speaker 3: Do I want to fall asleep three minutes after it starts? No, Okay,
- 34:06Speaker 3: I clearly have a condition. Okay, I don't want to
- 34:08Speaker 3: do that, but I do. I'm telling you, guys, I
- 34:11Speaker 3: can like be wide awake. I will pick out the movie.
- 34:14Speaker 3: I will be excited for it. We turn it on
- 34:16Speaker 3: three minutes in, I'm out for it for hours, like
- 34:19Speaker 3: and I'm not even tired when we start it, like
- 34:22Speaker 3: if it's seven thirty And Victoria's like, you want to
- 34:24Speaker 3: start a movie, I'm like, no, I fall asleep. Can't
- 34:26Speaker 3: do it daytime movies only, Like I can't. I can't
- 34:29Speaker 3: do it. I've fallen asleep in movie theaters twice, like
- 34:33Speaker 3: during the movie.
- 34:33Speaker 5: I can't.
- 34:34Speaker 3: I can't do it. It's just something about come on, it
- 34:37Speaker 3: relaxes me. But so season two is out of the
- 34:40Speaker 3: pit and I'm scared to start it because there's only
- 34:43Speaker 3: four episodes and I'm like, I can't wait a week
- 34:45Speaker 3: for each. So like that's me, like I can't wait,
- 34:48Speaker 3: Like I can't watch it episode by episode, week by week,
- 34:51Speaker 3: like I gotta have the whole season out. I gotta
- 34:54Speaker 3: binge it all of that. So, like Traders may be good.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I think Alundra's rolling on this one.
- 35:00Speaker 4: This is so good.
- 35:00Speaker 2: And wait, Daniel did like he brings up a good point.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I forgot about this. There has been times where like
- 35:06Speaker 2: they knock out like a trader or two, and they
- 35:09Speaker 2: sometimes the traders can pick to make somebody in the
- 35:12Speaker 2: castle a Trader, or they'll bring in other people, like
- 35:16Speaker 2: they'll bring in like a surprise person.
- 35:18Speaker 4: I think they did that with Uh. I think her
- 35:21Speaker 4: name is Kate from Below Deck.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Victoria loves Below Deck. I've never watched it.
- 35:27Speaker 4: I never really got it.
- 35:28Speaker 3: She loves it. Okay, so you mentioned you mentioned a
- 35:33Speaker 3: secret Trader yeah, do the other Traders and then okay,
- 35:36Speaker 3: so they don't.
- 35:37Speaker 4: They don't even know.
- 35:37Speaker 3: She were saying, like all the Traders know each other. Yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 3: but they don't even know that.
- 35:41Speaker 2: But this is the first season they did the secret Trader. Okay,
- 35:44Speaker 2: but the three Traders didn't know.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Who it was the season three Season four?
- 35:48Speaker 4: Is this season four?
- 35:49Speaker 3: Season four?
- 35:50Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 35:51Speaker 3: Okay, I mean.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Maybe this one is really good.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Season one is still the best to me, but like
- 35:56Speaker 2: this one is depending on how it goes the rest
- 35:59Speaker 2: of the way.
- 36:00Speaker 4: This is like pretty good too.
- 36:02Speaker 3: We we watched something Victoria made me watch something last year.
- 36:06Speaker 3: It's not that, but it's on Netflix. And it's like
- 36:10Speaker 3: you're intentionally cat phishing the other members of this apartment complex.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Like well, everybody knows now you can be yourself, like
- 36:17Speaker 3: all of you talk online. And the goal at the
- 36:19Speaker 3: end is like everybody has to vote, like if you're
- 36:22Speaker 3: you either got it, you're either voted out or at
- 36:25Speaker 3: the end, they're like that person deserved it. Like so
- 36:27Speaker 3: so each person votes on who wins the money. It
- 36:29Speaker 3: wasn't great, but like it's it's similar. So like some
- 36:32Speaker 3: people choose to be their actual selves, like other people
- 36:35Speaker 3: are like no, that's not you, right, and then some
- 36:37Speaker 3: people are like, obviously not them, and then people think
- 36:40Speaker 3: it is like it's just it's based on your answers
- 36:42Speaker 3: and stuff. But so, I mean it's it's similar. I'm
- 36:45Speaker 3: not a huge fan of that, but I'll give this
- 36:47Speaker 3: a shot. Victor has been wanting to watch it, like
- 36:49Speaker 3: even before you brought it up to me. She was like, hey,
- 36:52Speaker 3: there's a show called The Traders. I mean, apparently it's
- 36:55Speaker 3: the best show ever. So, I mean, we gotta it's
- 36:57Speaker 3: so good.
- 36:58Speaker 4: I've been trying to get people to watch it for
- 36:59Speaker 4: like a year and a half.
- 37:00Speaker 3: We got to check it out.
- 37:01Speaker 10: But so good.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Well, we'll give it a shot. Maybe if either of
- 37:05Speaker 3: you actually watched The pit No, okay, well I'm not
- 37:08Speaker 3: watching this. Sorry, I guess I'm already.
- 37:12Speaker 10: Watching this show.
- 37:13Speaker 3: What are you watching?
- 37:14Speaker 10: Well, the new season of Bridgerton.
- 37:15Speaker 11: Came out last year Bridgerton, but it's only it was
- 37:19Speaker 11: only the first four episodes. Like I have to I
- 37:22Speaker 11: watched what I watched all four episodes last night, right,
- 37:26Speaker 11: but like I have to wait until the end of
- 37:28Speaker 11: February for the second half of the season to come out.
- 37:32Speaker 10: But I love Bridgards.
- 37:33Speaker 3: So we use at our wedding the like bridesmaids walked
- 37:39Speaker 3: down the aisle to the uh the girls like you
- 37:42Speaker 3: string quartet, the Marine five.
- 37:44Speaker 10: The music is so.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Because it was on Bridgerton. We we did that at
- 37:48Speaker 3: our wedding. Shortly after we got married, Victoria invited her
- 37:52Speaker 3: sister over. She's like, yeah, I'm cooking this big breakfast
- 37:55Speaker 3: or whatever. Never really told me why her sister's there,
- 37:58Speaker 3: and like, I'm like, oh, okay, what's up. She's oh, we
- 38:00Speaker 3: came to watch the season premiere for Ridgerton. Yeah, Mike,
- 38:04Speaker 3: you woke up at nine am. Yes, fixed all this
- 38:07Speaker 3: food just so y'all can watch the season premiere of Bridgerton.
- 38:11Speaker 10: Yes.
- 38:11Speaker 3: I stayed in my run for like two hours. I
- 38:13Speaker 3: was like, what am I gonna do? What am I
- 38:14Speaker 3: gonna do in this situation where am I gonna get?
- 38:16Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 38:16Speaker 3: And it was a Saturday. I'm like, store, it's Saturday,
- 38:19Speaker 3: Like we are we doing this? Yeah? She's she's big
- 38:22Speaker 3: into Bridgerton.
- 38:23Speaker 10: But I don't wake up earlier. But I would wake
- 38:25Speaker 10: up to do that.
- 38:26Speaker 3: All right, we may give traders a shot. We'll see,
- 38:28Speaker 3: all right, guys, we'll take a quick time out we
- 38:30Speaker 3: come back. Look, we actually have a full last segment.
- 38:33Speaker 3: This is very unlike Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn explains
- 38:36Speaker 3: why they're not here. But get your Ask the Bench
- 38:38Speaker 3: questions in the chat. We're closing out with Ask the Bench. Next,
- 38:41Speaker 3: Y're on Off the Bench.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Off the Bench from the locker room to the airwaves.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Gets Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 38:57Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in final segment. Here on a
- 39:00Speaker 3: Friday edition of Off the Bench, Tailor Shop and the
- 39:03Speaker 3: host chair for Jacob Pastor and Matt Flanna Landrevilla Real
- 39:06Speaker 3: Cassie's Bazaly here and we've been rocking and rolling all
- 39:09Speaker 3: morning long. We got one segment left. It's time for
- 39:13Speaker 3: a little bit of Ask the Bench. This first one
- 39:15Speaker 3: is for Cassie. Ask the Bench Cassie's favorite lego sets.
- 39:20Speaker 11: Oh, I think I have to go with a Millennium Falcon,
- 39:26Speaker 11: so it's it's okay.
- 39:27Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 39:28Speaker 3: See I'm learning a lot about it with this whole Yeah.
- 39:32Speaker 11: Yes, they are super expensive, so I usually asked for
- 39:34Speaker 11: them for like Christmas, for my birthday, so I did.
- 39:38Speaker 11: I got this one for my birthday, so I have
- 39:40Speaker 11: no idea how much it was, but it's like it's
- 39:43Speaker 11: it's pretty big and like it's it's thick, so like
- 39:47Speaker 11: like there's so much inside of it.
- 39:49Speaker 10: And that one took me a while. But that's like
- 39:51Speaker 10: my pride.
- 39:51Speaker 3: To joy I was we were talking about a little
- 39:54Speaker 3: bit earlier, went to the Lego store at Downtown Disney
- 39:57Speaker 3: when we went to Universal back and scept yeah, and
- 40:01Speaker 3: you know, I mean we flew so I was like,
- 40:02Speaker 3: I'm not gonna buy anything big, like cause I got
- 40:04Speaker 3: limited space in my suitcase. So we just went and
- 40:06Speaker 3: looked around. There was like some Star Wars when I
- 40:08Speaker 3: don't even remember what it was. I'm not big on
- 40:10Speaker 3: Start Wars.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Cool.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Well, I walked in, I was like, oh, that looks
- 40:13Speaker 3: pretty cool. Let's see how much that is? Six hundred
- 40:16Speaker 3: dollars for that set, y'all.
- 40:18Speaker 11: Pass I refuse to spend like myself if I'm buying
- 40:21Speaker 11: for myself or super used to spend more than like
- 40:23Speaker 11: one hundred dollars on it.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Asked the bench most anticipated movie of the year, obviously
- 40:29Speaker 3: Doublewares product. Were you doing hearing us? No, I'm big
- 40:32Speaker 3: on horror movies that there's a ton of them coming out.
- 40:34Speaker 3: I mean more to list right now any any of those.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Everybody always says don't trust January and February horror movies
- 40:41Speaker 3: because they were left over from the year before. See
- 40:43Speaker 3: the Bankers in January and February. Like Friday the Thirteenth
- 40:46Speaker 3: came out in February back when I was in like
- 40:48Speaker 3: seventh or eighth grade, like that one. That one's better
- 40:50Speaker 3: than the originals. I don't care what anyone says that
- 40:52Speaker 3: Friday the thirteenth is much better original Friday the thirteenth
- 40:56Speaker 3: not very good, like it's nostalgic, but like Jason's not
- 40:59Speaker 3: even in it, like no, not not not that great
- 41:02Speaker 3: of a movie. So we're gonna skip on that one.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Ask the bench with he mash.
- 41:07Speaker 4: We didn't even answer.
- 41:10Speaker 2: The Odyssey is coming out this year this year, Yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 2: I mean, I like any Christopher Nolan movie, so I'm like,
- 41:17Speaker 2: I'm anticipating it, but also I'm not at the same time,
- 41:21Speaker 2: because like from the trailers, it just feels like maybe
- 41:25Speaker 2: Christopher Nolan might have his first miss of his career.
- 41:28Speaker 2: But also somebody said that Travis Scott is in it too,
- 41:32Speaker 2: and I'm like, why is Travis Scott in The Odyssey?
- 41:34Speaker 4: There's no reason for that.
- 41:37Speaker 2: So that kind of like is turning me off from it,
- 41:40Speaker 2: but I still am looking forward to watch it.
- 41:44Speaker 11: Cassie is coming out, no, but I am looking forward
- 41:49Speaker 11: to Avengers Doomsday.
- 41:51Speaker 10: Oh yeah, that's coming in November.
- 41:53Speaker 11: Yeah, so I mean the big Marvel Girl, big Star
- 41:57Speaker 11: Wars girl Avengers legos up.
- 41:59Speaker 10: I would love of an Avenger's lego, said, they there's
- 42:04Speaker 10: not as many as Star Wars, but they're there.
- 42:07Speaker 3: I was telling you, like Victoria's big into the puzzles,
- 42:10Speaker 3: which I just kind of feel like are similar. Yeah,
- 42:12Speaker 3: Like she'll sit there for like days at a time,
- 42:14Speaker 3: you know, like a few hours here, a few hours there,
- 42:15Speaker 3: and like build this puzzle and it's a massive and
- 42:17Speaker 3: then she immediately just tears it down and was like, okay,
- 42:20Speaker 3: time for the next one.
- 42:21Speaker 4: I'm like, Victoria, she doesn't even like frame them.
- 42:23Speaker 3: No, she'll leave them out for probably a day, just
- 42:26Speaker 3: like sitting there. But no, she normally just takes them
- 42:28Speaker 3: down starts on another one. I'm like, okay, well that's
- 42:32Speaker 3: that's a choice. Before I ask this, does anybody actually
- 42:36Speaker 3: know who is singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl?
- 42:40Speaker 11: No clue.
- 42:40Speaker 10: I feel like I've heard it but I can't remember.
- 42:42Speaker 3: So somebody asked, is it going to go over the
- 42:45Speaker 3: allotted time? I don't know who is singing the national
- 42:49Speaker 3: anthem at the Super Bowl. Oh it's Charlie Poot. Charlie Poot.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Charlie Poot could hit the notes, so I'm gonna say over.
- 42:58Speaker 3: I don't know what the over under is. No, only
- 43:00Speaker 3: it's about two and a half minutes to twenty somewhere
- 43:02Speaker 3: in there.
- 43:03Speaker 11: I don't think he'd go over. You know, he's really good,
- 43:05Speaker 11: but I don't think he like overly holds out notes.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Too long because I think a couple of years ago
- 43:10Speaker 3: Stapleton did it. Yeah, and everybody's like, oh, that's a
- 43:12Speaker 3: guarantee that it went over, and I don't think it did. Yeah,
- 43:15Speaker 3: I think it actually went under. That was like the
- 43:18Speaker 3: the biggest surprise, Right, you've convinced me I'll filip it.
- 43:21Speaker 3: I'll go under. Charlie Pooth gonna be quick faceted in
- 43:23Speaker 3: a hurry with the national anthem, Ask the bitch? Are
- 43:31Speaker 3: y'all trashing? Full back one and QB one?
- 43:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 43:36Speaker 3: Yes and no?
- 43:37Speaker 2: Because I told them yesterday, I said no, if I'm
- 43:40Speaker 2: gonna be there, y'all better be there, Like I was
- 43:44Speaker 2: visibly irritated when they said they were gonna not come in.
- 43:49Speaker 3: But also like if we're just stating what actually happened,
- 43:52Speaker 3: like we're just giving you the facts, like are we
- 43:54Speaker 3: actually are we trashing them or did they do it
- 43:57Speaker 3: to themselves? Because like we haven't made anything up, we
- 44:00Speaker 3: haven't said here and like you know, exaggerated this whole thing.
- 44:05Speaker 3: They were all atomobile. They all got back roughly around
- 44:09Speaker 3: the same time. Flinnif's actually earlier and Elundra showed up
- 44:12Speaker 3: and they didn't. I mean, I don't am I missing
- 44:14Speaker 3: anything here?
- 44:15Speaker 2: No, that's the those are facts. Those are objective facts.
- 44:19Speaker 2: The difference is I don't have like kids. I can't
- 44:23Speaker 2: I can't be like, oh I need to see my kids,
- 44:25Speaker 2: which I get. I really understand that they were gone forever,
- 44:28Speaker 2: especially Jake, but like I.
- 44:30Speaker 4: Don't, like, I don't have it like a I don't
- 44:35Speaker 4: want to say excuse, but I don't have an excuse.
- 44:37Speaker 3: No, Well they did and they used it all right, guys.
- 44:42Speaker 3: That'll that'll pretty much do it here for for Asadnchem,
- 44:45Speaker 3: I have about a minute left in the show. What
- 44:48Speaker 3: do you think? Jason Jern from grenawnd football hopping on
- 44:51Speaker 3: Ross Jackson.
- 44:52Speaker 5: Look.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Ross had a ton of articles coming out all week long.
- 44:55Speaker 3: And when I mean articles, I mean like articles thick boys,
- 44:59Speaker 3: like they took a while to read, and I enjoyed
- 45:01Speaker 3: every bit of it. Like nobody's locked in on New
- 45:04Speaker 3: Orleans Saints quite like Rossa's.
- 45:05Speaker 11: Look.
- 45:06Speaker 3: We talked LSU football, We talked men's and women's basketball.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Here's the gist of that. The women are really good,
- 45:11Speaker 3: the men are awful. There's your LSU basketball Take four.
- 45:14Speaker 3: Today's show made Landra do a little recap of Mobile.
- 45:17Speaker 3: We found out Cassie's like big into legas Like so
