- 1:23Big Bad Bob otherwise known as Rob Clark. Here with you again today
- 1:29for another exciting show of the Londgoman Podcast is episode numbered two hundred and forty
- 1:37eight. The HSC A Ali Jakins now the House Select Committee on Assassinations was
- 1:49formed in the late seventies due to a lot of pushback some things that came
- 1:55out of the Church Committee, and also the airing of this approf of film
- 2:00on national television in nineteen seventy five. A lot of folks thought that that
- 2:10film looks very suss as the kids like to say today, and I do
- 2:16agree, the film is certainly suspect. So let's let into like I said,
- 2:28The House Select Committee on Assassinations, another official government sanctioned investigative body talented
- 2:35to look into the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.
- 2:42Now, of course, badly Martin Luther King gets overshadowed when it goes to
- 2:47the h h SCA investigation. There's just a lot more information out there classed
- 3:00towards the JFK assassination and getting to the bottom of that. So there was
- 3:07a lot of allegations that have been put forth over the years by conspiracy buffs
- 3:15and those who disagree with the findings of the warrant mission. So the HSCA
- 3:23looked at a lot of these allegations and we're going to talk about three of
- 3:27them here today. One concerning a whole in the limousine wind screen windshield,
- 3:36if you will, also the Joseph Miltier story, and also the Rose share

- 6:00if you will that fucking steal a phrase from my buddy st Patrick over
- 6:03at the Midnight Ride or News show. A couple of things. One,
- 6:12if you haven't already. If you're not already, I'm going to give you
- 6:16a big hint you might want to head over to YouTube and subscribe the Lone
- 6:30Gumming Podcast. Make sure you hit the notification bell, make sure you like
- 6:36what you hear over there, and feel free to share anything you're signed over
- 6:42there. I'm just saying something big might be coming to the Lone Gumming Podcast
- 6:48YouTube channel. Maybe that's just a little foreshadowing to stay tuned for that.
- 7:00Secondly, Lancer the conference this year twenty twenty three, the sixtieth anniversary.
- 7:12Your boy like that Bob will be presenting that Lancer. That's right with my
- 7:17buddy Joe Borelli, and I urge all of you if you're going to Dallas,
- 7:26make sure you head aword to JFK Lancer Publications dot com and secure your
- 7:30tickets. If you can't be there in person, they have streaming options and
- 7:39also download the entire thing afterwards, or you can stream it and watch along
- 7:43live as things get presented. So any of those three ways, I encourage
- 7:48you all to check it out if you like this. Joe, Me and
- 7:54Joe have been working on something special behind the scenes for probably the past year
- 7:59and a half. We have uncovered a plethora, that's right, clethora of
- 8:05new information concerning a certain aspect surrounding the assassination and you're not gonna want to
- 8:13miss it, and the Lancer will have the exclusive you can only hear it
- 8:20there first, and of course subsequently we will be doing more and more and
- 8:26more and more shows about it. We can't fit a year and a half
- 8:31worth of research into an hour presentation, so you were going to get the
- 8:37Lancer presentation first, and then subsequent episodes of the Loan Government Podcast will be
- 8:46a meet dive research that you're only going to hear here. So those are
- 8:54some very exciting things coming up to the Lone Government Podcast, And like I
- 8:58said, you might want to keep an eye on the YouTube channel. Just
- 9:05saying, folks, all right, so let's get into the show today.
- 9:11HSCA allegations for a couple of different things here now really the only researcher that
- 9:22I've ever seen do a deep dive into the windshield of the limousine. They're
- 9:28a guy by the name of Douglas Wildon Now. Douglas Weldon was an attorney
- 9:37for the County of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He in nineteen ninety nine, I
- 9:43will he presented at a lands of conference about the limousine windshield and also contributed
- 9:48a chapter in Murdering Daily Plaza in the year two thousand. That would be
- 9:56nut Job Jim Fitzer's book before where he became a nut job. So also
- 10:05there is a presentation, Well, his presentation at the conference will be available
- 10:11by the time you're hearing this. It's going to come out at the same
- 10:16time as this podcast. So once you hear this, if you want to
- 10:20hear more about what what Douglas Weldon went into depth and his research into the
- 10:26windshield of the limousine, head over to the Lone Gumming from the vault and
- 10:33you will be able to hear Douglas Weldon's presentation there. It's about two and
- 10:39a half hours, so it really goes more into depth than I can hear
- 10:43about it. But he is the only one that I've seen that's done some
- 10:48really good in depth research into the limousine windshield, a couple of things that
- 11:05willed and found. Of course, there's allegedly many people who witnessed a hole
- 11:15in the limousine windshield at Parkland Hospital. He says, I consider some of
- 11:20these people heroic because considerable pressure was placed upon them to retract their observations.
- 11:28Several of these people with whom I have talked directly, remained hesitant to this
- 11:33day to discuss their observations and continue to fear for their personal safety. Richard
- 11:41Dudman, a reporter for the Saint Louis Post, for example, wrote it
- 11:43in an article entitled commentary of an Eyewitness that appeared in the New Republic on
- 11:48the twenty one to December sixty three. A few of us noticed a hole
- 11:52in the windshield when the limousine was standing at the emergency entrance after the President
- 11:56had been carried inside. I cannot approach close enough to see which side was
- 12:01the cup shaped spot that indicates a bullet had peered the glass from the opposite
- 12:05side. Dudman told interviewers that a secret service station shoved him and the other
- 12:09reporters away when he tried to examine the whole to determine the direction from which
- 12:15it had been fired. It is interesting to note that Dudman became aware of
- 12:18no less than five bullets that were allegedly fired and daily PLAISA that day.
- 12:24Dudman was also critical of the lack of security on top of the Triple Overpass,
- 12:28noting that the standing Secret Service orders were to keep the overpass clear.
- 12:33That order was violated that day. He also wrote at the south end of
- 12:37the Viaductor's four short blocks from the office of the Dallas Morning News, where
- 12:41Jack Ruby was seen before and after the shooting. No one remember for sure
- 12:46seeing Ruby between twelve fifteen and twelve forty five. The shooting occurred at twelve
- 12:50thirty. Dudman had declined to discuss the assassination with anyone for many years,
- 12:56where his earlier commentary bears mute witness to his presence silence. Former Dallas police
- 13:03officer H. R. Freeman, who rode in the motorcade, noted in
- 13:07a nineteen seventy one interview by Guiltoff of his observation of the limousine at Parkland.
- 13:13I was right beside it. I could have touched it. It was
- 13:16a bullet hole. He would tell that it was, and he was not
- 13:20the only officer, a type of witness usually prized for his accurate and reliable
- 13:24observations, who saw similar damage to the glass. Dallas police officer Stabus Ellis,
- 13:31who was in charge of the motorcade escort through Dallas, remarked, you
- 13:35could put a pencil through it, So we're extensive interviews with this author.
- 13:41Mister Ellis was unequivocal about observing the whole. His recollection was that the whole
- 13:46was lower in the windshield, but he was absolutely certain of its existence.
- 13:50He did describe the whole as being on the driver's side of the rear view
- 13:54mirror, which consistent with other observations and the photographic evidence. He recalls actually
- 14:00placing a pencil in this hole. He recounted that there were numerous people and
- 14:05police officers Aparkment Hospital who viewed the whole. He vividly remembers that while he
- 14:09was observing the whole, a secret service station came up to him and tried
- 14:13to persuade him that he was seeing a fragment and not a whole. So
- 14:20I guess you can defy the laws of matter and put a pencil through a
- 14:26fragment and not a hole. So that's just a little bit about Douglas Weldon.
- 14:33And like I said, if you'd like to hear more, head over
- 14:35to the loan gumming from the vault and make a listen. You won't regret
- 14:43so. But now, this was an allegation that was looked at by the
- 14:50HSCA, So let's see what the HSCA had to say about this. Alley
- 14:58says, the staff's initial review of Warren Commission materials raised the issue of whether
- 15:05the front windshield sent to the FBI lab for examination and later admitted into evidence
- 15:11by the Warren Commission was the same windshield as the one on the limousine at
- 15:15the time it was returned from Dallas to Washington on the evening of the assassination.
- 15:22The presidential limousine was flown from Dallas to Washington and driven to the White
- 15:26House garage late in the evening of November twenty second, nineteen sixty three.
- 15:31Secret Service Station Charles E. Taylor Ben assigned responsibility for the security of the
- 15:37limousine upon its arrival at Andrew's Air Force Base. He rode in the front
- 15:41passengers seat while the car was driven to the White House Garage. Taylor observed
- 15:46the three and one half hour examination of the limousine conducted by five net the
- 15:52FBI experts between two am and five am on November the twenty third, nineteen
- 15:58sixty three. His report, dated November twenty seventh, nineteen sixty three contains
- 16:03the following language. Of particular note was the small hole this left of center
- 16:11in the windshield. What appeared to be bullet fragments were removed, and there's
- 16:18an asterix beside it. The asterix leads you to this. The windshield,
- 16:25represented to be the one removed from the presidential limousine is presently stored at the
- 16:29National Archives. Daff examination revealed that this window has an internal defect. Just
- 16:36let to send if there is no hole through the windshield. Secret Service agents
- 16:48Davis and elis or ease whatever that is, eies e eas ease. We're
- 16:56also present for the FBI examination there. Respective reports stated that they noticed the
- 17:03damage to the front windshield when the car arrived at the White House Garage,
- 17:07that both of them ran their hands over the outside of the windshield and found
- 17:11it to be smooth and unbroken, and the damage to the windshield was entirely
- 17:18to the inside surface. There's another asterisk there which leads you to this.
- 17:26FBI photographs of the windshield, allegedly taken during the course of this examination of
- 17:30the limousine do not establish one way or the other whether there was a hole
- 17:33in the windshield. On November the twenty sixth, nineteen sixty three, the
- 17:38windshield was removed from the limousine and stored at the White House Garage. In
- 17:44March of nineteen sixty four, at the request of the Warren Commission, the
- 17:47Secret Service delivered the windshield to the Bureau. The windshield was subsequently was examined
- 17:52by the FBI Lab. This examination and the prior examination of the limousine were
- 17:57subjects of FBI Lab Inspector A. Frasier's testimony before the warn Commission, volume
- 18:03five, page sixty nine baby. In response to a question posed by a
- 18:11Commission Council Arlan spector, mister Fraser stated, quote, I prepared the formal
- 18:17report of the entire examination of the limousine unquote again, volume five, page
- 18:22sixty nine. The Life magazine article in the November twenty fifth nineteen sixty six
- 18:30issue quotes Arlan Spector as saying, one of the most impressive pieces of evidence,
- 18:37Inspector is the FBI report on the examination of the limousine. It concludes
- 18:41that no part of the car's interior was struck by a whole bullet a whole
- 18:48bullet. Despite a specific commission request on March eighteenth, nineteen sixty four,
- 18:56for quote the report on the exam eamination conducted by the FBI on the President's
- 19:02automobile on November twenty third, nineteen sixty three, the staff has not been
- 19:07able to locate any such report in the warrant mission files. Indeed, the
- 19:12FBI recently informed this committee that they could not find any report reflecting the examination.
- 19:21They were able to locate four pages of the examiner's handwritten notes, though,
- 19:26which has another asterisk which leads us to this comment. These handwritten notes
- 19:30mentioned an internal defect and the windshield just left of center led tracings WARB removed
- 19:37from the inside of the windshield. At this point, neither Agent Frasier nor
- 19:42any other Bureau employee has been able to examine. Well, that just cuts
- 19:53off there. Apparently there's a page missing from this document. The document concludes
- 20:00with this. The staff interviewed Secret Service Agent Taylor on December tenth, nineteen
- 20:06seventy five, and on that occasion, Taylor was positive that there had been
- 20:10a hole through the windshield. He stated that a pen could definitely be inserted
- 20:15through this hole from one side of the windshield to the other. However,
- 20:19the staff was not convinced that Taylor had actually had the opportunity to examine what
- 20:25he believed to be a whole with committee staff. President Taylor recently examined the
- 20:30windshield at the Archives. He stated that the windshield was as he had seen
- 20:36it in nineteen sixty three, i e. Contrary to his report, there
- 20:41was an internal decept and not actually a penetration through and through that they have
- 20:45subsequently prepared Navid David and forwarded to the Secret Service for mister Taylor's review and
- 20:52his signature. So the hsc A conclude that there was no actual through and
- 21:03through hole in the Limou windshield based upon their re examination, okay, of
- 21:12the evidence introduced into the Warren Commission. Now, they didn't go out and
- 21:18they didn't do a deep dive investigation into this. They went to the archives.
- 21:26They took for granted that whatever this windshield is it's in the archives,
- 21:30is the one from the limousine. However, Douglas Weldon thinks that it might
- 21:38possibly not be the correct windshield. So once again I heard all of you
- 21:45two head over to the vault after listening to this show and checking out Douglas
- 21:51Weldon's presentation on his deep dive investigation into the limousine windshield if you would like
- 21:56to learn more Again, the HCA findings that it was fragments of a bullet
- 22:06that struck the inside of the windshield, causing it to crack and splinter,
- 22:11and once the fragments were removed from the one side, the interior side of
- 22:19the windshield, it left a little indentation where the fragments were removed from,
- 22:26but no actual hole. Yet we have these people that were interviewed saying that
- 22:33they stuck a pencil through it. So again, if you have a through
- 22:40and through bullet hole, it doesn't really mean anything one way or the other.
- 22:48A fragment of a bullet or even a fragment of bone could have possibly
- 22:55penetrated the windshield and made a through and through hole. Of course, an
- 23:03entire full bullet could do the same thing. The question then becomes did it
- 23:10come from behind, through the interior out through the exterior of the windshield or
- 23:15was it or did it come through the front of the windshield and then into
- 23:21the interior of the car and from the alleged trajectory where this alleged hole was
- 23:33in the windshield, a bullet could have feasibly traveled in between the two Secret
- 23:41Service agents who were up front driving in between or through John Connolly, or
- 23:51in between Connelly and his wife, ultimately to JFK and his neck. So
- 23:59lots of questions here, with no concrete answers, as per the usual this
- 24:03case, folks. All right, Next up, let's check out what the
- 24:10HSCA thought about the Joseph mill Tier allegations that the FBI and or the Secret
- 24:18Service withheld information relating to Joseph Miltier's threat to assassinate President Kennedy. Now,
- 24:26for those of you not familiar, the documentary record available to the committee reveals
- 24:33that National States Right Party member Joseph A. Miltier asserted during a November ninth,
- 24:38nineteen sixty three, conversation that was tape recorded that President Kennedy would be
- 24:45assassinated by someone using a high powered rifle from the window of a tall or
- 24:51a tall building or an office building. The Jack Brown of Chattanooga was a
- 24:56man who might do the job. Then afterwards officers would leave no stone unturned
- 25:03trying to find the killer. They will pick someone up within hours afterwards,
- 25:08just to throw the public off. As a quote directly from Joseph Miltier,
- 25:15this conversation was recorded by Miami Police Department informant Bucket ass eighty eight, otherwise
- 25:22known as William Willie Somerset, and verbatim transcripts were disseminated to the Secret Service
- 25:30and the FBI on November the eleventh, nineteen sixty three. However, the
- 25:36reports provided the Warrant Commission neither recounted that the threat had been recorded, nor
- 25:41the specifics of the threat. Thus, the Commission had no reason to distinguish
- 25:45this threat from the hundreds of unsubstantiated allegations that poured into the Bureau of subsequent
- 25:52to the assassination. So basically, the FBI and the Secret Service treated this
- 26:03threat just as a generic threat towards the President, much like many of the
- 26:10others they got with no substantial actual you know, emphasis on Hey, we
- 26:19should pay attention to this, so it was largely ignored for the most part.
- 26:26On November twenty sixth, nineteen sixty three, Somerset provided additional information on
- 26:34mil Tier, the reliability of which was established by the tapes I mean November
- 26:40the twenty third conversation. On that date, mil Tier was in the Union
- 26:45train station named Jacksonville, Florida, where he stated that he was ubilant over
- 26:51the death of President Kennedy and that he had stopped in Dallas on an automobile
- 26:55trip through southern cities and that everything had run true to form. Miltier further
- 27:00stated that I guess you thought I was kidding I guess you thought I was
- 27:06kidding you when I said he would be killed from a window with a high
- 27:11powered rifle, unte which led to this. On December of the first,
- 27:19nineteen sixty three, two FBI agents interviewed Miltier in Quipment, Georgia. According
- 27:26to their report, Miltier emphatically denied ever making threats to assassinate President Kennedy or
- 27:33participate in such threats. He stated that he has never heard anyone make any
- 27:38threats such as that. He also denied ever having visited Dallas, Texas.
- 27:45Now, this is contrary to the fact that they had this guy on tape
- 27:52okay admitting to being in Dallas, being jubilant over the death of Kennedy and
- 28:00explaining how it was going to go down two and a half weeks before the
- 28:06assassination, including rounding up a patsy to throw the public off. How So,
- 28:18the HSCA reviewed the Bureau documents. The documents we were told represented all
- 28:26FBI materials gathered on mil Tier during the course of the assassination. Investigation revealed
- 28:32that on the basis of mil tier statements to the agents and instigation indicating that
- 28:37mild Tier was in equipment Georgia on November twenty seco nineteen sixty three, the
- 28:42Bureau conducted no further investigation of mil Tier or his known associates, one of
- 28:48whom was Don Burrows, a man whose name was found in Oswald's notebook.
- 28:56The Secret Service response to the November nine, nineteen sixty three mil Tier threat
- 29:00is also instructive. By letter dated January ninth, nineteen seventy six, the
- 29:07staff posed to the Seeker Service certain questions relating to mild Tier and the President's
- 29:12November nineteen sixty three Miami and Dallas trips. In summary, the Service acknowledge
- 29:18receeat of a transcript of the tape and the fact that further investigation of certain
- 29:23named persons associated with right wing groups had been predicated upon receipt of the quote
- 29:30Miltier information. They assert that this investigation established that none of these persons were
- 29:36in the Miami area on November eighteenth, nineteen sixty three. Interestingly enough,
- 29:41the Secret Service response to the question of whether Miltier's threat was considered in connection
- 29:48with the President's visit to Dallas on November twenty second, nineteen sixty three,
- 29:52was not that they conducted a similar investigation in Dallas, but that quote,
- 29:57in the absence of any information from the FBI to indicate any of the Miltier
- 30:03connected individuals were coming to or President in Dallas, this particular case was not
- 30:07considered critical unquote. This response is surprising, and that there is no record
- 30:14that the FBI was monitoring the activity activities of any of the named persons on
- 30:18anything approaching a daily basis, or that, with the exception of mil Tier
- 30:23himself, the Bureau had information indicating that any of these persons constituted a threat
- 30:30to the safety of the president, a prerequisite at that time to the dissemination
- 30:34of FBI information to the Secret Service. And then we have another asterisk which
- 30:41leads us to this. The record does establish that the name of one known
- 30:47member of a right wing group in the Dallas area was provided to the Secret
- 30:51Service by the FBI. However, he was not one of the quote Miltier
- 30:56connected individuals. So basically that HSCAH investigation basically goes over the Warren commissioned findings
- 31:18and did not really go out on its own to kind of establish any kind
- 31:22of investigatory answer to the question of did Joseph Miltier you know no beforehand about
- 31:33the assassination and was he in Dallas. In fact, if you go and
- 31:41look at several photographs of Houston Street, the west side of Houston Street,
- 31:48there is an individual that has been caught on film and photo that looks a
- 31:55hell of a lot like Joseph Miltier, and there are side by side comparisons.
- 32:02I'm done with this, and the the likeness is uncanny. Shall we
- 32:09say, just go out and google Joseph Miltier and Daly Plaza and you will
- 32:16see what I'm talking about. As far as old bucket Ass eighty eight will
- 32:23least Summerset. You know, he was an FBI informant. He was an
- 32:27informant for the Miami Police Department, and pretty damn good one. It's that
- 32:32and who managed to tape record a lot of these conversations, And possibly if
- 32:39the Secret Service or the FBI had taken these threats seriously, maybe things would
- 32:47have been different in November twenty second, nineteen sixty three. But of course
- 32:52at this point we can only speculate. I go into the Joseph Miltier allegations
- 32:59and Williams set a lot more in depth than I did here today. Feel
- 33:02free to go back in the archives and look for probably around episode one hundred.
- 33:09Somewhere around there, you'll see an episode called bucket Ass eighty eight,
- 33:16and that's that's what you're looking for, so feel free to go back and
- 33:20check that out. Next up is an allegation at the AHNC really looked into
- 33:29hard the other we're talking about a couple of pages, but this one they
- 33:36took a little bit of a harder look at, and it's something I've never
- 33:38really touched here on the podcast before. Maybe a mentioned here or there,
- 33:47but as far as a in depths Dive, not really. And it's one
- 33:53of the most iconic scenes in the beginning of the movie JFK by Oliver Stone,
- 34:00and that's the road share Me story and the HSCA. We looked into
- 34:09this pretty good and took into consideration actual researchers, contemporary researchers into this allegation
- 34:22to help them. They didn't just rely on things as the Warrant Commission really
- 34:30didn't touch this with a ten foot poll. I think Garrison tried to bring
- 34:37it up in his investigation, and several independent researchers looked at it, trying
- 34:45to make some sense out of it, but I couldn't really, so look
- 34:51jump right into Rose share Me. Rose share Me, a heroin, addict
- 34:57and prostitute with a long history of arrest, was found on November the twentieth,
- 35:01nineteen sixty three, lying on the road near Eunice, Louisiana, bruised
- 35:07and disoriented. She was taken to the Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson, Louisiana
- 35:14to recover from her injuries and what appeared to be in herclonics withdrawal. Share
- 35:20Me reportedly told attending positions that President Kennedy was going to be killed during his
- 35:25forthcoming visit to Dallas. The doctor did not pay much attention to the ravings
- 35:30of a patient going through withdrawal as cold Turkey until after the president was actually
- 35:37assassinated. Two days later, date police were called in and share Me was
- 35:43questioned at length. She reportedly told police officers that she had been a stripper
- 35:47in Jack Ruby's nightclub and was transporting a quantity of heroin from Florida to Houston
- 35:54at Ruby's insistence, and when she quarreled with the two men also participating in
- 36:00the dope run, Jeremy said the men pushed her out of a moving vehicle
- 36:05and left her for dead. After the assassination, Sharemy maintained Ruby and Lee
- 36:10Harvey Oswald had known each other well and said she had seen Oswald at Ruby's
- 36:15nightclub, and claimed that Oswald and Ruby had been homosexual partners. Ironically,
- 36:22the circumstances of Rose Sharemy's death are strikingly similar to the circumstances surrounding her original
- 36:28involvement in the assassination investigation. Rose Sharemy died of injuries received from an automobile
- 36:35accident on a strip of highway near Big Sandy, Texas, early morning hours
- 36:40of September fourth, nineteen sixty five. The driver stated that Sharemi had been
- 36:46lying in the roadway, and although he attempted to avoid hitting her, he
- 36:51ran over the top of her skull, causing fatal injuries. Oh It's crucial,
- 36:57crucial, crucal. An investigation into the accident and the possibility of a
- 37:02relationship between the victim and the driver produced no evidence of foul play, and
- 37:07the case was closed. Although Charemy's allegations were eventually discounted for death two years
- 37:15later prompted renewed speculation about her story. It was noted, for example,
- 37:20that over fifty individuals who had been associated with the investigation into the Kennedy assassination
- 37:24had died within three years of that event. The deaths by natural or other
- 37:30causes were labeled mysterious by Warren Commission critics and the news media. That skeptics
- 37:37claimed that the laws of probability would show that the number of deaths is so
- 37:39unlikely has to be highly suspected, As detailed elsewhere, The committee studied such
- 37:45claims and determined that they were erroneous. Nevertheless, allegations involving Rose Jeremy,
- 37:52often counted among the mysterious deaths, was a particular interest to the committee since
- 37:57it indicated a possible association of Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby, an association
- 38:02of these individuals with members of organized crime, and possible connection between Cheremie's confinement
- 38:09at the State Hospital in Jackson, Louisiana and Oswald's search for employment there.
- 38:17Excuse me, in the summer ars nineteen sixty three, that's right, Oswald
- 38:23put in a job application at the State Hospital there in Jackson, Louisiana,
- 38:32same hospital that Rude Jeremy was taken to. The committee set out to obtain
- 38:37a full amount of full account of the Jeremy allegations and determine whether her statements
- 38:43could be at all cooperated. The committee interviewed and deposed pertinent witnesses. Files
- 38:51from US Customs in the FBI were were requested. Say that five times fast
- 38:57information developed during the investigation by New Orleans DA Jim Garrison was examined. Records
- 39:04of Sharemy's hospitalization at East Louisiana State Hospital were studied. Hospital records indicate Melba
- 39:12Christine Marcatti's alias Rose Sharemi was brought to the State Hospital in Jackson by police
- 39:17from Unis on November the twenty first, nineteen sixty three, and officially admitted
- 39:23at six am. She was originally from Houston, Texas, where her mother
- 39:28still lived, so she was approximately thirty four years old in nineteen sixty three
- 39:32and had used many many aliases throughout her lifetime and had lived many years in
- 39:39Louisiana and Texas. According to the clinical notes, the deputy accompanying Sharemi said
- 39:46the patient had been quote picked up on the side of the road and had
- 39:51been given something by the corner. The corner in the Unis was contacted by
- 39:57doctors at the hospital and he told them Jeremy had been coherent when he spoke
- 40:01with her at ten thirty pm on November twentieth, but he did administer as
- 40:07stated. He further indicated that Jeremy was a nine year mainlining heroin addict whose
- 40:15last injection had been around two pm on November twentieth, nineteen sixty three.
- 40:22The doctors noted that Jeremy's condition upon initial examination, indicated a heroin withdrawal and
- 40:28clinical shock. Relevant to Jeremy's credibility was an assessment of her mental state.
- 40:35From November twenty two to the twenty fourth, Jeremy required close attention and medication.
- 40:42On the twenty fifth of November, she was transferred to the ward.
- 40:46On November twenty seventh, she was released to Louisiana State Police Lieutenant Bruge.
- 40:52The hospital records gave no reference as to alleged statements made by Cheremi or why
- 40:59she was released Lieutenant Fruge on November twenty seven, nineteen sixty three. These
- 41:04records do indicate share Me had been hospitalized for alcoholism an arcotics addition on other
- 41:09occasions, including commitment to the same hospital in March in nineteen sixty one by
- 41:15the Criminal Court of New Orleans. During this day, the woman was diagnosed
- 41:20as quote without psychosis. However, because of her previous record of drug additions,
- 41:25she may have a mild integrative and pleasure defect that means she's a hoe.
- 41:35Her record would show she has intervals of very good behavior, but at
- 41:37other times she resents episodically psychopathic behavior, indicative in her history of drug and
- 41:45alcohol abused prostitution arrest on numerous occasions. If minor rges like committee interviewed one
- 41:53of the doctors on staff at East Louisiana State Hospital who had seen share Me
- 41:59during her stage there at the time of the Kennedy assassination. The doctor corroborated
- 42:04aspects of the Sharemy allegations. A doctor, Victor Weiss, verified that he
- 42:08was employed as a resident physician at the hospital in nineteen sixty three. He
- 42:15recalled it. On Monday the twenty eight fifth, nineteen sixty three, he
- 42:17was asked by another physician, doctor Bowers, to see a patient who had
- 42:22been committed the remember twentieth or twenty first. Doctor Bowers told Wise that the
- 42:29patient Rose Sharemy, had stated before the assassination that President Kennedy was going to
- 42:34be killed. Wiss's questions share Me about her statements. He told him she
- 42:40had worked for Jack Ruby. She did not leave any specific details of a
- 42:45particular assassination plot against Kennedy, but it stated that the quote word in the
- 42:52underworld on the quote was that Kennedy would be assassinated. She further stated that
- 42:57she had been traveling from Florida to her home in Texas when the men traveling
- 43:01with her threw her from the automobile in which they were riding. Francis Ferge,
- 43:08a lieutenant of the Louisiana State Police in nineteen sixty three, was the
- 43:13officer and first team to chair Me's assistance. On November twentieth, sixty three,
- 43:17had her committed to the state hospital and later released her into his custody
- 43:22following the assassination to investigate her allegations. As such, he provided an account
- 43:29further detailing her allegations and the official response to her allegations. Frouge was deposed
- 43:35by this committee on April eighteenth, nineteen seventy eight. He told the committee
- 43:39that he was called on November twentieth by an administrator at a private hospital in
- 43:44Unice that a female accident victim had been taken there for treatment. She had
- 43:50been treated for minor abrasions and all those appeared to be under the influence of
- 43:53drugs. Since she had no financial basis, she was to be released.
- 44:00Cruge did what he normally did in such instances. As the woman required no
- 44:05further medical attention, he put her in a jail cell to sober up.
- 44:09This arrangement did not last long the woman. The woman began to display severe
- 44:15symptoms of withdrawal. Frew said He called a doctor who sedated share Me,
- 44:21and Frew transported share Me to the State Hospital in Jackson. Frew said that
- 44:27during the one or two hour ride to Jackson, he asked share Me some
- 44:30routine question. Rush told the committee she related to me that she was coming
- 44:37from Florida to Dallas with two men who were Italians or resembled Italians. They
- 44:43had stopped at this lounge and they'd had a few drinks and they'd gotten into
- 44:46an argument or something. The manager of the lounge threw her out, and
- 44:51she got on the road and hitchhike to catch a ride, and this is
- 44:54when she got hit by a vehicle. Fru said the lounge was a of
- 45:00prostitution called the Silver Slipper. Fruge asked share Me what she was going to
- 45:05do in Dallas. He said she was going to Number one, pick up
- 45:08some money, pick up her baby, and then kill Kennedy. Fruge claimed
- 45:15during these intervals that share Me related to the story she appeared to be quite
- 45:20lucid. Fruge had share Me committed to the hospital late on November twentieth,
- 45:24nineteen sixty three, no remember twenty second, when he heard the president had
- 45:30been assassinated. Fruge said he immediately called the hospital and told him not to
- 45:35really share Me until he had spoken to her. The hospital administrators asserted that
- 45:42it's wait, you go. The hospital administrators assented, but said Fruge would
- 45:50have to wait until the following Monday before share Me would be well enough to
- 45:53speak to anyone. So Fruge waited. Under questioning. Share Me told that
- 46:00the two men traveling with her from Miami were going to Dallas to kill kill
- 46:05the President. For her part, Jeremy was to obtain eight thousand dollars from
- 46:09an unidentified source in Dallas and proceed to Houston with the two men to complete
- 46:15a drug deal. Jeremy was also supposed to pick up her little boy from
- 46:19friends who had been looking after him. Jeremy furthers applied detailed accounts of the
- 46:25arrangement for the drug transaction in Houston. Said reservations had been made at the
- 46:30Rice Hotel in Houston, and the trio was to meet a seaman who was
- 46:37bringing in eight kilos of heroin to Yalveston by boat. Jeremy had the name
- 46:42of the seamen and the boat he was arriving on. Once the deal was
- 46:46completed, the trio would proceed to Mexico. Freus told authorities Are told the
- 46:52committee that he repeated Sharemy's story to his supervisors and add for instructions. He
- 46:58was told to follow up on it, so frug probably took Sharemy into custody,
- 47:02as indicated in hospital records, and set out to check her story.
- 47:07He contacted the chief customs agent in Galveston, who reportedly verified the schedule docking
- 47:14of the boat and the name of the semen. Fruge believed the customs agent
- 47:20was also able to verify the name of the man in Dallas who was holding
- 47:22Jeremy's son. Fruge recalled that the customs agent had tailed the semen of he
- 47:29disembarked from the boat, but then lost a man's trail and Customs closed the
- 47:34case. Fruge had also hoped to collaborate other statements made by Sharemy. Wearing
- 47:39a flight from Houston, According to Fruze, Sharemy noticed the newspaper with headlines
- 47:44indicating investigators had not been able to establish a relationship between Ruby and Oswald.
- 47:50Jeremy laughed at the headline, Fruge said, Jeremy told him that she had
- 47:54worked for Ruby or a quote Kinky, and she knew him at his nightclub
- 48:00in Dallas and claimed Ruby and Oswald had been shacking up for years. Frus
- 48:06said he called Captain Will Fritz of the Dallas Police Department with this information.
- 48:10Fritz answered that he wasn't interested. Fritz in the Louisiana State Police dropped the
- 48:15investigation into the matter. Four years later, investigators from the office of the
- 48:21DA Garrison in New Orleans contacted Fruge. Fruge went on detail to Garrison's office
- 48:28to assist in the investigation into the Kennedy assassination. During the course of the
- 48:34New Orleans DA's investigation, Fruge was able to pursue leads in the Charemy case
- 48:38that he had not checked out in the original investigation. Although there appeared to
- 48:44be different versions as the house Jeremy ended up by the side of the road
- 48:47and the number and identity of her companions, Fruge attempted to corroborate the version
- 48:52she had given him. Frue spoke with the owner of the Silver Slipper Lounge.
- 48:59The bar owner, a mister mcmanuel since deceased, told Frus that Sharemy
- 49:06had come in with two men who the owner knew his pimps, engaged in
- 49:09the business of hauling prostitutes in from Florida. When Sharemy became intoxicated in rowdy,
- 49:16one of the men quote slapped her around and threw her outside. Frush
- 49:23claims that he showed the owner of the bar a stack of photographs and mug
- 49:27shots to identify. According to Fruge, the bar owner chose the photos of
- 49:34a Cuban exile, Sergio our Cautious Smith and another Cuban Fruge believed to be
- 49:42named Osanto our Conscious. Smith was known to Kennedy assassination investigators as an anti
- 49:49cast of Cuban refugee who had been active in sixty one as the head of
- 49:52the New Orleans Cuban Revolutionary Front. At that time, he befriended anti Character
- 49:59Act commercial pilot David Ferry, who was named and dismissed as a suspect in
- 50:07the Kennedy assassination within days of the President's death. Ferry and Smith were also
- 50:13believed to have ties with a new New Orleans organized crime figure named Carlos Marcello
- 50:20Ocasha. Smith moved from the New Orleans area in sixty two to Miami and
- 50:24later to settle to Houston. The weekend following the assassination, Ferry took a
- 50:30trip to Houston and Galveston for a little quote rest and relaxation, while police
- 50:37searched New Orleans for him after receiving a tip to the invent he had been
- 50:39involved in the assassination. The committee has found credible evidence indicating Ferry and Oswald
- 50:45were seen together in August was sixty three in the town of Clinton, Louisiana,
- 50:52thirteen miles from the hospital in Jackson where Jeremy was treated and where Oswald
- 50:57reportedly sought employment. Allegations regarding Our Conscious Smith and Ferry and the Committee's investigation
- 51:04are set forth in detail elsewhere in their report. Clearly, evidence of a
- 51:08link between Sharemy and Smith would be highly significant. Our Conscious Smith, however,
- 51:14denied any knowledge of Jeremy and allegations. Other avenues of corroboration of Fruge's
- 51:21identification of Sharemy t Sharemy's traveling companion as Sergio or Conscious Smith, and further
- 51:27substantiation of Sharemy's allegations remained elusive. US Customers was unable to locate documents and
- 51:35reports related to its involvement in the Sharemy investigation, although such involvement was not
- 51:39denied, nor could Customs officials locate those agents named by Frugis having participated in
- 51:45the original investigation, as they had since left the employ of the agency.
- 51:52Since the FBI, who had never been notified by the Louisiana State Police or
- 51:57Customs of their interests in Sharemy, the BI file did not have any reference
- 52:00to the share Me allegations of November sixty three. FBI files did give reference
- 52:07to the investigation of a tip from Melbourne Ladies actually Rose Sharemy and Ardmore,
- 52:13Oklahoma, that she was en route to Dallas to deliver two thousand, six
- 52:19hundred dollars worth of heroin to a man in Oak Cliff. She was then
- 52:25to proceed to Galveston to pick up a load of narcotics from a seaman on
- 52:29board a ship destined for Galveston. In the next few days. She gave
- 52:34detailed descriptions as to individuals, named, places, and amounts dittributed. Investigations
- 52:39were conducted by narcotics bureaus in Oklahoma and Texas, and her information was found
- 52:44to be quote erroneous in all respects unquote. A similar tale was told.
- 52:51In sixty five, FBI agents investigated a tip from Rozella clink Scales alias Melbourne
- 52:59Marcatti's alias Rose share Me like the story is told in sixty three, share
- 53:04me clink Scales claimed individuals associated with the syndicate were running prostitution rings in several
- 53:12Southern cities such as Houston and Galveston, Oklahoma City, and Montgomery, Alabama,
- 53:17by transporting hookers, including share me slash clint Scales, from town to
- 53:22town. Furthermore, she claimed she had information about a heroin deal operating from
- 53:30a New Orleans ship, a call to the Coast Guard verified, and ongoing
- 53:35narcotics investigation of the ship. Other allegations made by the share me slash clink
- 53:40Scales could not be verified. Further investigation into share me slash clink Scales revealed
- 53:47she had apparently previously furnished the FBI with false information concerning her involvement in prostitution
- 53:54and narcotics matters, and that she had been confined to a mental institution in
- 54:00Norman, Oklahoma months on three separate occasions, FBI agents decided to pursue the
- 54:07case. No further. The FBI indicated agents did not know of the death
- 54:12of their informant on September four, sixty five, occurring just one month after
- 54:16she had contacted the FBI. Louisiana State Police investigating and share Me's fatal accident
- 54:22also apparently did not know of the FBI's interested her. It's been a bye,
- 54:29Patricia or researcher for the hs SAT. Now, there's a lot to
- 54:38unpack here with the row share Me allegations. Wow, it would definitely be
- 54:45helpful if we knew the names of the two men transporting her. Can we
- 54:52rely accurately on the one assertion that one of the individuals was identified as Sertio
- 55:01or conscious Smith. We can only take the word of a lounge manager,
- 55:12bar manager, if you will, who really probably only see these men one
- 55:17time for a limited period of time. I don't know, I don't know
- 55:23how much faith you can put in that identification. So let's take a look
- 55:29social look at Bruce share Me now and February of nineteen sixty seven as the
- 55:39years of an investigation with Knoff. We have a New Orleans Police Department Enter
- 55:45Office correspondence to the FBI subject and up to date FBI sheet Urgent Urgent urgent.
- 55:57Please send us an up to date rap sheet under subject with FBI number

- 57:07we have poppy of Rose sharing means rap sheet which is you and show let's
- 57:19see three oh on four tad was long folks four Payton some of the various
- 57:38aliases that she had along the way or Patsy Sue Allen. There wasn't San
- 57:45Antonio, Texas and Amarillo. She used the alias just teen young blood and

- 57:57blood h in Angola, Louisiana. Melburne Christine New Orleans, Melbourne, Christina

- 58:22in New Orleans, Austin, Texas. She was Melbourne, Christine Marcatti's Rosalie

- 58:37Marcatti's New Mexico, Melbourne, Christine Marcatti's Albuquerque, Melbourne, Marcatis Saint Elizabeth's
- 58:47Hospital in DC. She went to Melbourne, Mascottis, Oklahoma City, Zeta
- 58:54Maria Johnson Remember Alabama, Zeta Gano, Oklahoma Cities, Zata Marie Giano Montgomery,
- 59:02Alabama's Data Irene Scars, New Orleans, Zada Lingiano, New Orleans,
- 59:10Razil. Renee is sharing me. I mean you're talking over thirty thirty different
- 59:17aliases. It was spanning twenty years, and he charged his reign from vagrancy
- 59:24car theft two TU fifty auto. I don't know what that means. Hold
- 59:36for Barksdale eighteen soldiers to escape in nineteen forty two and tree Port, Louisiana.
- 59:43Whatever that means, larceny UH, drunken public and police station using obscene
- 59:53language, also believed to be insane for violating the Dire Act. I have
- 59:59no idea what that is? Theft of one hundred dollars patient invoking accessory to
- 1:00:08escape, vagrancy d r K, whatever that is the Dire Act again,
- 1:00:20vagrancy by by narcotics addict and something else driving under the influence of narcotics on
- 1:00:31suspect, simple arson, consturbing the peace on complainant. Now a lot of
- 1:00:40these are fine twenty dollars UH released paid fine, affidavit refused by the DA,
- 1:00:49affidavit refused by the DA. So even though she was charged with a
- 1:00:52lot of stuff, she didn't actually have to get a chord about it,
- 1:00:57A lot of it criminally in saying in East Louisiana State Hospitals nineteen sixty one,
- 1:01:04Gretton in Louisiana, vagrancy and investigated for vagarancy, loud and boisterous in
- 1:01:09New Orleans, Louisiana until it it's twenty first nineteen sixty four, sounds of
- 1:01:22good stuff. I mean, it's pretty pretty interesting life this lady. H
- 1:01:36And I'm like I said, this is the span of twenty some odd years.
- 1:01:42So yeah, it's a lot of it's a lot of. It's a
- 1:01:47lot. Okay, it's a lot. But for somebody who led the kind
- 1:01:52of lifestyle as a stripper, a prostitute, who was a drug addict and
- 1:01:57drunk, uh, a rep sheet like this is to be expected, you
- 1:02:05know. I mean, we've been going into sixty four here. She was
- 1:02:08in Oklahoma as Rose Sharon Ee okay Rose Elaine Sharony and fort Worth prostitution and
- 1:02:22public intoxication resisting arrest in June and Cocoa Beach, Florida, Pensylclola. When
- 1:02:30Cocoa Beach she was Rosel Jean Crawford, and and Pensylcola she was Rasel Jean
- 1:02:37share Me. In Titusville, Florida, she was Rasel Jay Crawford, and
- 1:02:43then in New Orleans rosel Renee Sharemy. So I think she had a different
- 1:02:51name for different towns and states that she was in. The one small thing
- 1:03:00connected her was, of course, her fingerprints, which was you know,
- 1:03:07a big downfall, especially it sounds actually as frequently the same states, the
- 1:03:10same cities in these states, and they likely would have known who she was,
- 1:03:17given her history. And this we have from an investigator in Frank Maloch
- 1:03:25of the Jim Garrison District Attorney's Office or E. Rose share Me, in
- 1:03:30March thirteenth, nineteen sixty seven. He gives us this report when February twenty
- 1:03:37five, sixty seven, I had occasion to investigate one Rose share Me,
- 1:03:40a white female. On November twenty sixty three, Rose share Me was picked
- 1:03:45up by Lieutenant Francis Fruge and it's probably Fruge, but don't bust my balls,
- 1:03:52please, of the Louisiana State Police on Hawaii Hawaii Nightway one ninety.
- 1:03:59Near this Louisiana subjects was supposed to have been thrown from a vehicle by two
- 1:04:03white males. Whereas Charman was brought to the Moosa Hospital in Unis, Louisiana
- 1:04:11for treatment and then returned to the Unis jail where she was suspected of having
- 1:04:15narcotic withdrawals. Assistant Corner of Saint Landrew Parish on doctor F. J.
- 1:04:20Droun was called in and he gave Rose a sedative and later had to be
- 1:04:26called again when she became violent, stripped off all of her clothing, and
- 1:04:30cut her ankles. Doctor Droun agreed to commit Rose to Jackson East Louisiana State
- 1:04:38Hospital, and Rose was brought to Jackson in an ambulance from Charity Hospital in
- 1:04:43Lafayette, accompanied by a Unis police officer. Rose remained in confinement until November
- 1:04:49twenty sixth, nineteen sixty three. It was during this time between the twentieth
- 1:04:55and twenty sixth of November sixty three, that doctor Victor J. Weiss,
- 1:04:59Jr. Of Saint Antonio, Texas was the house psychiatrist in Jackson. White
- 1:05:04stated during her stay at Jackson, Rose had told him that she knew both
- 1:05:10Ruby and Oswald and had seen them sitting together on occasions at Ruby's club.
- 1:05:15When he asked about the statement that mister McGruder had given to me, he
- 1:05:20McGruder states that he told doctor White that the president and other Texas public officials
- 1:05:26were going to be killed on their visit to Dallas. Doctor White states that
- 1:05:30he doesn't recall whether this was told to him before or after the assassination.
- 1:05:36On November twenty six, nineteen sixty three, Lieutenant Fruget was notified by Doctor
- 1:05:42White that Rose Shamy had completed her withdrawals and he could now talk to her.
- 1:05:46She gave Lieutenant Fuge some information about a narcotic ring working between Louisiana and
- 1:05:53Houston. Rose Sharemy was his release to Captain Ben Morgan and Lieutenant Frus of
- 1:05:58the State Police and Anne Deekler of the Revenue Division, and flew to Houston
- 1:06:05for further investigation of narcotics. While in flight, Rose share Me picked up
- 1:06:12a newspaper with headlines of Ruby killing Oswald, and further on down the newspaper
- 1:06:17it stated where Ruby denied ever knowing or seeing Oswald in his life. Jeremy
- 1:06:25laughed at this and stated to Fruge that Ruby and Oswald were very good friends.
- 1:06:30They had been in the club Ruby's together and stated that Ruby and Oswald
- 1:06:34are bed partners. On arrival at Houston, she again repeated this story to
- 1:06:41Captain Morgan. When I asked to talk to the federal authorities about this,
- 1:06:45she refused and stated that she did not want to get involved in this mess.
- 1:06:50All information on the narcotics ring was given to Fruge by Rose share Me
- 1:06:58was true and good information. Rose was left in Houston and Lieutenant Frous reported
- 1:07:04back to Louisiana. On March sixth, nineteen sixty seven, I met Lieutenant
- 1:07:10Freuj and Houston and continued they searched for Rose share Me eight th row search
- 1:07:15was made of Houston and Dallas, checking first on her mother and Missus Thomas
- 1:07:18Jay Youngblood residing at one twenty five Carby Road, Houston, Texas. Subject
- 1:07:25Missus young Blood had moved from there to place unknown about two years ago.
- 1:07:30A further check revealed that Missus Morris Wall three six two six La Joya Drive,
- 1:07:35Dallas, Texas, is the sister of Rose share Me. I contacted
- 1:07:41Missus Wall and was informed and on September fourth, nineteen sixty five, Rose
- 1:07:45was hit by a car and killed outside of Glade Water, Texas, while
- 1:07:50walking on Highway one fifty five, approximately one and a half miles east of
- 1:07:55Big Cind, Texas, at about two am in the morning. Under Texas
- 1:08:00law, I was unable to obtain a copy of the accident report. I
- 1:08:02verified the above incident and accident and death through Lieutenant Shaws of the State Police.

- 1:08:33H. McGruder from Detective Frank Mellock and Sergeant Finner Sedgeber to Jim Garrison.
- 1:08:43He says, my name is Ah McGruder and I live at four four
- 1:08:46three one two Dupless the Street in the Parkchester Apartments. My phone number is
- 1:08:53YadA, YadA, YadA. I'm forty seven years old and self employed as
- 1:08:56a manufacturer representative. During the Christmas holidays, that date being Christmas of sixty
- 1:09:01three to New Year's of sixty four, I returned from a hunting trip with
- 1:09:05doctor Victor Weiss, who at the time was clinical director of East Louisiana State
- 1:09:11Hospital in Jackson, Louisiana. We were sitting at my home near Saint Francisville,
- 1:09:15Louisiana, just having a big bullshit session and he related the story that
- 1:09:20I'm going to tell you this is in connection with the Kennedy assassination. Doctor
- 1:09:26White said that prior to the Kennedy assassination. By several days, the Louisiana
- 1:09:30State Police had picked up a woman on Highway one nineteen near Eunice, Louisiana,
- 1:09:35and that she had apparently been thrown out of an automobile. From her
- 1:09:39physical appearance, the police thought she was a psychic, that she was psycho,
- 1:09:45so they took her to the East Louisiana State Hospital. Doctor Weiss gave
- 1:09:48her a thorough physical and psychiatric examination and determined that she was a narcotics at
- 1:09:55it and she was having withdrawal symptoms. She told him that she also worked
- 1:10:00the dope runner for Jack Ruby. I believe. She also mentioned that she
- 1:10:02worked in the nightclub for Ruby and that she was forced to go to Florida
- 1:10:06with another man whom she did not name, to pick up a shipment of
- 1:10:11dope to take back to Dallas. That she didn't want to do this thing,
- 1:10:15but she had a young child and that they would hurt her child if
- 1:10:18she didn't. She and this male companion of hers gotten into some kind of
- 1:10:23argument or fight, and he beat her up and put her out of his
- 1:10:27charm. She also told doctor Weiss That's president and other Texas public officials were
- 1:10:31going to be killed on their visits. Dallas White said that he didn't really
- 1:10:36pay much attention to a woman or this type until after the assassination occurred,
- 1:10:42at which time he went back to this woman who was still in the hospital
- 1:10:45and had further conversation with her. Now, this was also after Ruby had
- 1:10:48killed Oswald, and she did say that she had seen Oswald sitting at the
- 1:10:53same table at Ruby's club, but didn't elaborate any further. About two nights
- 1:10:59later, the FBI came to East Louisiana State Hospital and picked this woman up,
- 1:11:04and doctor Weiss had to sign the papers for her release at that time.
- 1:11:09That's about all I've given you doctor Weiss's address and phone number, Sincerely,
- 1:11:15mister ah Ruder. So, folks, take that for what you will.
- 1:11:24I mean, it is what it is. At this point, it
