- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to KFI AM six forty the Bill Handles
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I know.
- 0:12Speaker 3: I don't look in Disney as laying people off. It's
- 0:15Speaker 3: just it happens every now and again.
- 0:17Speaker 2: So you know Disneyland, which we're gonna go to on Monday,
- 0:19Speaker 2: and looks like you're gonna have to do the singing
- 0:22Speaker 2: of Yoho Yoho by yourself.
- 0:25Speaker 3: There won't be anybody to help you do that.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I didn't work, okay, Amy, Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Okay, got one day, I get it, and now handle
- 0:39Speaker 3: on the news. Ladies and gentlemen. Here's Bill Handle, and
- 0:45Speaker 3: good morning everybody.
- 0:46Speaker 2: It is a Tuesday, April twenty once as we had.
- 0:52Speaker 2: It was nice singing the day off yesterday, and I'll
- 0:54Speaker 2: tell you a minute or two about that. I want
- 0:57Speaker 2: to thank Neil for filling in for me, even though
- 0:59Speaker 2: I didn't listen to one second of the show.
- 1:02Speaker 3: So I'm going to assume that.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I don't know if you did a good job or not, Neil,
- 1:08Speaker 2: but I know you were here, so that's help.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Nothing got broken, Okay, excellent sor ry.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Good morning to you, Neil. Good morning, Buddy Cono there
- 1:16Speaker 2: you are. Good morning, and yeah, and I didn't know
- 1:22Speaker 2: your today. You have your UPS jacket on right. It
- 1:26Speaker 2: kind of looked like that, doesn't it. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 2: it looks like you work for you work for UPS.
- 1:31Speaker 3: The San Diego Padres puffer jacket.
- 1:34Speaker 4: That was all the raid in the stands.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Yes, how did you get it?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:41Speaker 4: You know, I know my guy.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah down there, she know she knows a guy who
- 1:45Speaker 2: knows a guy who knows a guy.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Okay, there you go.
- 1:49Speaker 2: And then Amy, I saved you for last because Amy,
- 1:51Speaker 2: I want to talk about yesterday as we've been Uh,
- 1:55Speaker 2: first of all, hello, hello, we have been talking about
- 2:00Speaker 2: Amy taking me to Disneyland as her guest, which I
- 2:04Speaker 2: did yesterday with Amy, and it might complaint with Disney.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I mean I went I think the second year that
- 2:12Speaker 2: Disney that Disney Land opened up. So a lot of
- 2:17Speaker 2: that is I'm looking back and comparing what happened and
- 2:21Speaker 2: even decades ago we were talking about I haven't been
- 2:24Speaker 2: there in thirty five years. Where if you go Tuesday, Wednesday,
- 2:28Speaker 2: February March, the park was completely empty. I mean there
- 2:34Speaker 2: was zero eight for anything, which doesn't happen anymore. So
- 2:38Speaker 2: that was that's my issue. But Amy said, you're gonna
- 2:42Speaker 2: like it's I have to and the price was pretty pricey.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Now for me, I could afford it, but at the
- 2:53Speaker 2: same time, it seemed a lot of people cannot, and
- 2:57Speaker 2: it's really out of the reach of someone. But as
- 2:58Speaker 2: Neil has pointed out, when you look at the value
- 3:01Speaker 2: relative to going to a movie relative going to a concert, yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 2: there really is value there.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Can you be You could be there twelve thirteen hours.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was there eleven hours, and I think my girls
- 3:13Speaker 2: were there probably fourteen hours.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Yeased, Yeah, they stayed.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I know they went another several hours after dinner.
- 3:23Speaker 3: When the last time the twins were there.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Well, Pamela goes often. Pamela goes a couple of times
- 3:29Speaker 2: a year. She you know, I don't know when the
- 3:31Speaker 2: last time Barbara was there, but she Barbara brought her
- 3:33Speaker 2: new her boyfriend, uh and it was it was really
- 3:38Speaker 2: tough for him to get in because they do that
- 3:40Speaker 2: metal detector and because of his piercing it can it
- 3:44Speaker 2: went off over and over and over again, and then
- 3:48Speaker 2: they took the wand and then the wand went crazy
- 3:50Speaker 2: because there was so much metal on his body.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Anyway, I it was.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It was really neat and some friends of Amy came,
- 4:00Speaker 2: Sean and Sandra, who are just delightful to be with. Uh,
- 4:04Speaker 2: and so it was just a fun, fun time. I
- 4:07Speaker 2: also will tell you, Pamela, I have not and this
- 4:13Speaker 2: is this this, so I wasn't expecting this. Was more
- 4:17Speaker 2: excited about being at Disneyland. She was more excited in
- 4:22Speaker 2: general than I have ever seen her in her life.
- 4:25Speaker 5: It's amazing what Disneyland does to a person. Yes, she
- 4:28Speaker 5: she was.
- 4:29Speaker 4: I mean you were.
- 4:30Speaker 3: You were giddy. Yeah, up and down. I was literally
- 4:34Speaker 3: jumping up and down.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Grown people just say, you know what it was, I'm
- 4:39Speaker 5: going to be a kid today, and they are.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Well, I wasn't a kid today. I was still pretty obnoxious.
- 4:44Speaker 5: You have doing You were obnoxious, But there was a
- 4:47Speaker 5: lot of smiling and laughing and like, wow, that was
- 4:50Speaker 5: a great.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 2: There were certain things that you know, I wanted to push,
- 4:55Speaker 2: which I did, and a little contest that we had,
- 4:58Speaker 2: you know, uh, fat people, those fat people chairs, Neil,
- 5:01Speaker 2: You'll know you know those scooters.
- 5:03Speaker 3: With incredibly fat people. We call them Jazzy's.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's always fat people and I am incredibly fat.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So the So the contest was how much does any
- 5:15Speaker 2: do those people weigh who are in those fat people
- 5:18Speaker 2: scooter things.
- 5:19Speaker 5: This was a contest that Bill participated by himself in Yeah, no, no,
- 5:27Speaker 5: not of Amy.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Amy.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I said, no, Amy, I a couple of times fat
- 5:32Speaker 2: person zips by and I went, okay, two fifty. You went, oh, no,
- 5:37Speaker 2: much more than that. You actually said that a couple
- 5:40Speaker 2: of times. I almost. I always, I came, I know,
- 5:46Speaker 2: I came this close. You're right, So people were three
- 5:48Speaker 2: four hundred pounds. I came this close to actually going
- 5:51Speaker 2: up to those people and asking how much they weigh?
- 5:55Speaker 3: Excuse me, how much do you weigh?
- 5:57Speaker 2: And I didn't only because I was with Amy and
- 6:02Speaker 2: came aboard. Sean and Sandra were there, and I wasn't
- 6:07Speaker 2: going to do that to them. I wanted to, but
- 6:10Speaker 2: I did.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Amy. I self edited just for you. Thank you. You
- 6:14Speaker 3: know what. Yeah, you always do that.
- 6:15Speaker 6: You always say we when you do something horrible, and
- 6:18Speaker 6: the rest of us are like, we didn't participate.
- 6:21Speaker 3: You know.
- 6:22Speaker 6: One time my wife and I were at Disneyland and
- 6:25Speaker 6: someone wrote up on one of those motorized jazzy thingumabobs
- 6:29Speaker 6: and had a sign on the front that said, I'm
- 6:31Speaker 6: not just fat, I'm actually handicapped.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that that makes the point for me. It is
- 6:38Speaker 2: it's for fat people, and some are astounding.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Some you couldn't even see the seat.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Because they're fat butts draped over the seat, just like jowls.
- 6:51Speaker 6: I will say that is not always the case. It
- 6:54Speaker 6: was always the case.
- 6:55Speaker 4: And I'm going to say that you are deflecting right now.
- 6:58Speaker 5: You're trying to be bill handle and you you were
- 7:00Speaker 5: giddy yesterday and had a fun and you should have
- 7:03Speaker 5: seen the smile on your face.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Mickey, by the way, I wasn't. Yeah, that's right.
- 7:07Speaker 2: We met Mickey and they wouldn't and I wanted to
- 7:09Speaker 2: do a thing with Mickey and Mickey wouldn't let me,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and then or they didn't, and then I tried out.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And then I'm meeting Minnie and I said, can I
- 7:19Speaker 2: put my hand under her dress?
- 7:21Speaker 4: You did not.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Say, why would you do that?
- 7:24Speaker 2: Because it's a great photo, it's a great photo op.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And Amy told me you can't do that. You're not allowed.
- 7:34Speaker 3: You not allowed?
- 7:36Speaker 5: Why not?
- 7:37Speaker 6: You will find out how secure that place is when
- 7:41Speaker 6: you start doing stupid stuff like that.
- 7:43Speaker 3: They come out of the woodwork. The security see you know,
- 7:49Speaker 3: but that's funny. You know you're sitting and taking a
- 7:51Speaker 3: picture in with Minnie. She has her little dress on,
- 7:53Speaker 3: and there you go, you know, putting your hand under her.
- 7:55Speaker 4: To What was your favorite ride, Bill get the Positive?
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:00Speaker 3: The new one? Uh, the Rise of the Resistance. Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 3: pretty credible. It is. It's boy, this the next level.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It also caused what a billion change to make to
- 8:11Speaker 2: create Wow, it is. Yeah, that's very different than that's
- 8:14Speaker 2: very different than when I went to Disneyland's.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah sure.
- 8:18Speaker 5: And then we did go on one of the first
- 8:20Speaker 5: rides from the first time you ever went there was
- 8:22Speaker 5: Peter Pan And.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Yeah as a kid, I was.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I was six years old when I went six or seven,
- 8:30Speaker 2: I think when I went to Disneyland for the first
- 8:32Speaker 2: time out and it was it was old school. It
- 8:35Speaker 2: was right at the beginning of the Disney parks. Uh,
- 8:38Speaker 2: they had Peter Pan when the original rides they had
- 8:42Speaker 2: what else they have, the original right Utopia, except we
- 8:45Speaker 2: went on that.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Cars cars. Yeah, I always don't know the name of
- 8:50Speaker 3: the ride.
- 8:51Speaker 4: A Little Mermaid, Yeah, we went on a Little Mermaid.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Wait till I post the pictures of Bill. A Little
- 8:57Speaker 4: Mermaid he's got this look on his face like, oh.
- 9:04Speaker 2: No, the only, the only reason, the only reason to
- 9:06Speaker 2: go on those rides, uh is during the summer. If
- 9:10Speaker 2: you're hot, you want to go on that ride because
- 9:13Speaker 2: they're air conditioned.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And it's.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that's cute.
- 9:18Speaker 5: And it was also downtime because we had just gotten
- 9:20Speaker 5: off the in Credit Coaster and half of us we're
- 9:21Speaker 5: going to throw out.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Oh that is a serious ride too, you know. That's that.
- 9:28Speaker 2: And on top, No, I like roller coasters, but that
- 9:31Speaker 2: is I ness to Walt Disney. He the reason he
- 9:34Speaker 2: created Disneyland was to not have roller coasters, so it
- 9:38Speaker 2: has moved in a different direction.
- 9:40Speaker 3: For sure.
- 9:40Speaker 4: You got to give the people what they want exactly.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 9:43Speaker 5: And you know what else he went on, Neil, He
- 9:45Speaker 5: went on Guardians of the Galaxy, which is my personal
- 9:48Speaker 5: favorite ride.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Did his wallet fly out? Well, the wallet never flies out, Listen.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I could be I could be naked in a saunat
- 9:57Speaker 2: and my wallet is not flying out. Will not tell
- 10:00Speaker 2: you where it is, but my wallet does not leave
- 10:03Speaker 2: my body.
- 10:04Speaker 3: He didn't say no to anything. He went on every
- 10:07Speaker 3: single ride. First Front Row Space Mountain. Oh that's awesome. Yeah, Okay, guys, I.
- 10:13Speaker 5: Could barely get off of space Mountain. Crawling out of
- 10:17Speaker 5: the cars is getting harder.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you see your right. All right, guys, enough
- 10:23Speaker 2: we talked. Okay, it was fun and it was I
- 10:27Speaker 2: will tell you it was what really made a lot
- 10:29Speaker 2: of it worthwhile. Not only was it fun, but seeing
- 10:31Speaker 2: my daughter Pamela, who was literally jumping up and down.
- 10:35Speaker 3: She could not believe it. She was just ecstatic.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Oh wait till you see the video of her and
- 10:40Speaker 5: of you and her in Rise of the Resistance. It's
- 10:44Speaker 5: after that we take the shuttle and get pulled by
- 10:47Speaker 5: the tractor beam into the stars starship.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Uh.
- 10:52Speaker 5: She she's adorable, like It's just so fun. And again,
- 10:55Speaker 5: that's what Disney does. Bill, you saw it firsthand.
- 10:58Speaker 4: That's what Disney does.
- 10:59Speaker 3: She did I did for real. Okay, guys, let's do
- 11:02Speaker 3: it weird happiness enjoy. Yeah, let's get rather.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah, let's get back to reality, misery and horrificness. You
- 11:09Speaker 2: know where we do in normal show where My Life
- 11:11Speaker 2: lives lead story.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Well, tonight the ceasefire is over.
- 11:18Speaker 2: No, no, wait a minute, tomorrow night, the cease fire
- 11:21Speaker 2: is over, and uh, the president is going to attack Iran. Well, well,
- 11:26Speaker 2: wait a minute. Uh, he's probably not going to attack Iran.
- 11:30Speaker 2: And then the peace talks are moving ahead and everybody's
- 11:33Speaker 2: wait a minute, they aren't moving ahead very much.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Even though the US says they are. Iran says, what
- 11:39Speaker 3: are you talking about?
- 11:41Speaker 2: So up in the air, and we're going to do
- 11:44Speaker 2: more stories about this oil.
- 11:47Speaker 6: You'd think negotiating with a Middle Eastern country that hates
- 11:51Speaker 6: America would be easier, don't you, Yes, you would, but
- 11:54Speaker 6: you know, negotia in general, whatnutes.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, in my in my world, good, I mean, you
- 11:59Speaker 2: make a point. But in my world of surrogacy, as
- 12:01Speaker 2: you know, I had, amongst others, some very high end
- 12:06Speaker 2: Mid East people, Arabs for the most part, you know,
- 12:09Speaker 2: from Saudi Arabia, from Kuwait, and we would we would
- 12:14Speaker 2: have a deal, you know, and we went through the costs.
- 12:16Speaker 2: You not the deal, but we went through the costs
- 12:19Speaker 2: and so and I said, everybody signed off, and then
- 12:22Speaker 2: it's okay, let's talk about a discount. And I went,
- 12:27Speaker 2: wait a minute, we just shook hands.
- 12:30Speaker 3: You just signed the agreement.
- 12:32Speaker 2: It is yeah, sure, yeah, it is because for us,
- 12:36Speaker 2: a handshake seals the deal.
- 12:37Speaker 3: For them, the handshake starts the negotiation.
- 12:41Speaker 2: So you're right, But at this point it's still up
- 12:46Speaker 2: in the air.
- 12:47Speaker 3: It really is. So I mean, what's going to happen?
- 12:50Speaker 2: Let me ask you, do you believe that the ceasefire
- 12:53Speaker 2: is in fact going to end tomorrow night and then
- 12:57Speaker 2: the festivities will start again with the fight.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Oh, I have no idea, that's not I don't. I
- 13:04Speaker 3: think it's going to be extended. I think it's gonna
- 13:06Speaker 3: be extended again.
- 13:08Speaker 5: I think there'd have to be some pretty big movement
- 13:10Speaker 5: to just extend it again.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Well, it could be. We'll see.
- 13:13Speaker 2: There wasn't movement this time around. So I mean, the
- 13:18Speaker 2: the talks fell apart and all of a sudden, Okay,
- 13:20Speaker 2: we'll do it tomorrow.
- 13:21Speaker 3: That's the problem. But yeah, and you may be right.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Here's the point.
- 13:24Speaker 2: We could sit here, uh the we could see here,
- 13:27Speaker 2: the three of us, the four of us, and just
- 13:28Speaker 2: say what's gonna happen? What's gonna happen? And no one
- 13:30Speaker 2: has any idea. Uh, President Trump has no idea of
- 13:36Speaker 2: what's going to happen.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Oh, there is word out. Two regional sources that they're
- 13:43Speaker 5: calling them told the AP this morning that both the
- 13:45Speaker 5: US and around are are in on the.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Talks, which means that it'll be another extension and there
- 13:54Speaker 2: will be uh and you know, maybe a good idea
- 13:57Speaker 2: or not. I've stopped guessing, uh, pro and trying to prognosticate.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I just thought it's it's a tough one too.
- 14:08Speaker 5: David says he didn't do it. David is, of course,
- 14:10Speaker 5: a singer who was charged yesterday for the death and
- 14:16Speaker 5: dismemberment of a fourteen year old girl whose remains were
- 14:20Speaker 5: found in the trunk of his tesla. Remember they were
- 14:23Speaker 5: found in a tow yard because the smell was so bad,
- 14:25Speaker 5: they opened it up and they found what was left
- 14:28Speaker 5: of the little girl. His real name is David Anthony Burke.
- 14:31Speaker 5: His lawyers pleaded not guilty for him yesterday in court
- 14:35Speaker 5: and he'll be back in court again on Thursday.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Yeah. Now I didn't know.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I mean, the story goes on and this I assume
- 14:41Speaker 2: these are new facts that the prosecution is arguing that Celeste,
- 14:46Speaker 2: the little girl, was a witness to the lewde and
- 14:48Speaker 2: lascivious sexual acts being levied against David, and that certainly
- 14:53Speaker 2: adds to the proposition that he was involved the alleged
- 14:58Speaker 2: a proposition.
- 14:59Speaker 6: What the hell as a twenty one year old man
- 15:01Speaker 6: doing with a fourteen year old girl to begin with.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Well, he says he had nothing to do with it
- 15:07Speaker 3: at all. He didn't know her.
- 15:10Speaker 2: We don't know at this point. I mean, it's hard
- 15:14Speaker 2: to believe that he didn't. It's hard to believe that
- 15:18Speaker 2: her dismembered body in his car was sort of an
- 15:21Speaker 2: accident or someone else did it. But you know, we
- 15:23Speaker 2: talked about that from the beginning.
- 15:25Speaker 6: Well, under the circumstances, let's hope that the FBI isn't
- 15:30Speaker 6: investigating because FBI Director Cash Pattel, we talked about this
- 15:35Speaker 6: a little bit yesterday, has sued The Atlantic and the
- 15:39Speaker 6: reporter Sarah Fitzpatrick over the story that alleged Patel has
- 15:44Speaker 6: alarmed colleagues with episodes of excessive drinking and unexplained absences,
- 15:51Speaker 6: even during times of apparent emergencies. The Atlantic has responded
- 15:59Speaker 6: to this suit, calling it meritless, of course. But the
- 16:02Speaker 6: defamation suit, as it was filed yesterday morning in the
- 16:05Speaker 6: US District Court of DC, seeks two hundred and fifty
- 16:10Speaker 6: million in damages, right up there with Trump type style lawsuits,
- 16:15Speaker 6: you know, But it says that he he's habitually drunk,
- 16:20Speaker 6: that he's unable to perform his duties, that he's a
- 16:23Speaker 6: threat to the safety of the United States, he's vulnerable
- 16:27Speaker 6: to foreign coercion, on and on and on, and.
- 16:32Speaker 3: You know, he's got some real issues going on.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I mean, he's I think they purchased some planes or
- 16:38Speaker 2: he's taking planes for personal purposes.
- 16:41Speaker 3: That's the allegation. And here's the problem.
- 16:43Speaker 2: First of all, two hundred and fifty million dollars, why
- 16:45Speaker 2: not two point five billion, why not twenty five billion dollars?
- 16:48Speaker 2: What difference does it make when you file these lawsuits?
- 16:51Speaker 2: No chance is going anywhere anywhere. He's a public servant
- 16:55Speaker 2: or he's a public figure. And they have he has
- 16:58Speaker 2: to prove that the Atlantic knew that what he said,
- 17:04Speaker 2: knew what it said was false, or had reckless disregard
- 17:09Speaker 2: for the truth. Well, they have at least a dozen
- 17:12Speaker 2: sources that have backed up their claim, at least a dozen.
- 17:17Speaker 2: So how do you prove reckless disregard for the truth.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And they come back and say, here's the truth, here's
- 17:22Speaker 2: what we relied on. Where do you go with that?
- 17:26Speaker 2: You know, if they just made if they just made
- 17:28Speaker 2: it up, that's one thing.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Isn't that what the term absolute malice is or whatever,
- 17:33Speaker 6: where it's like.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Ye, malice is when you accuse someone but factually accuse someone.
- 17:38Speaker 3: It's uh and uh, it's not true. It's not true.
- 17:43Speaker 2: You find defamation, and that's defamation per se where you
- 17:48Speaker 2: and I don't even know if that goes to a
- 17:50Speaker 2: public figure. I don't know, but it's I love defamation
- 17:53Speaker 2: per se because it comes out of common law.
- 17:57Speaker 3: One is this is terrific.
- 17:59Speaker 2: One accusing someone a business person of dishonesty. The other
- 18:04Speaker 2: one is questioning a woman's virginity, accusing someone of having
- 18:10Speaker 2: a loathsome disease, usually a venereal disease. Those actuations, those accusations,
- 18:16Speaker 2: I love that, the version one and disease and so
- 18:21Speaker 2: someone gets gone rhea. It's a double hit. It's really good.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Wow.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Yeah, superating open source shankers on your private parts.
- 18:31Speaker 4: What does this have to do with cash Betel being
- 18:34Speaker 4: drunk enough?
- 18:36Speaker 3: We're just going through a little history information.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Oh okay, okay.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Yeah, just a little common law history. Are you kidding?
- 18:42Speaker 5: Tipping the balance of power? Voters in Virginia are going
- 18:46Speaker 5: to the polls today. It's the continuation of that redistricting
- 18:51Speaker 5: battle that's been happening in states all over the country.
- 18:54Speaker 5: The ballot referendum would temporarily change the boundaries of the
- 18:58Speaker 5: state's congressional districts and would eliminate all but one Republican
- 19:02Speaker 5: leading district in Virginia, likely changing the makeup of the
- 19:06Speaker 5: delegation to the US House and possibly tipping the balance
- 19:10Speaker 5: of power over to the Democrats.
- 19:13Speaker 6: Okay, all right, Thinning the herd man former California State
- 19:19Speaker 6: Controller Betty E, who happens just happens to be a
- 19:23Speaker 6: favorite with Democratic Party insiders, just hasn't caught on with
- 19:28Speaker 6: the public. Now she's dropping out of the race for governor.
- 19:32Speaker 6: As we know, there's a butt ton of Democratic folks
- 19:37Speaker 6: or Democrats running for governor, and they're trying to thin
- 19:41Speaker 6: the herd.
- 19:42Speaker 3: So gun's spread. I have got two Republicans leading. They
- 19:44Speaker 3: have to they have to.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Why California, the top two vote getters go in the
- 19:49Speaker 2: general election. And if you have enough Democrats that are running,
- 19:53Speaker 2: everybody cannibalizes everybody else, and you only have two Republicans,
- 19:57Speaker 2: And so if the Democrats don't are dropping out and consolidating,
- 20:03Speaker 2: it's it's going to be a Republican governor. It's that simple.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Well this, uh, this woman had talked smack already pretty
- 20:12Speaker 6: heavily about Katie Porter. So I wonder if she's gonna
- 20:16Speaker 6: you know, she Isn't she related to No, don't.
- 20:21Speaker 3: It's ye and yea. I know where you're going already.
- 20:24Speaker 3: It's because you speak handle. Yeah, he speaks.
- 20:27Speaker 6: You're gonna make a Kanye reference. And it's why.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Okay, because it's Tuesday. Okay, have a talk.
- 20:37Speaker 5: Okay, Well you've heard of that's how the cookie crumbles.
- 20:42Speaker 5: How about this is how the apple is sliced? O,
- 20:47Speaker 5: don't do.
- 20:48Speaker 4: That, all right?
- 20:49Speaker 5: No, Apple is announcing that CEO Tim Cook is leaving. Well,
- 20:54Speaker 5: he's not leaving the company. He's just stepping down as CEO.
- 20:57Speaker 5: He's held the position since twenty eleven. He'll be succeeded
- 21:01Speaker 5: by senior vice president of hardware Engineering. His name is
- 21:05Speaker 5: John Turnis. Apple Stock declined one after the review without
- 21:12Speaker 5: question or Cook is saying that Turners is, without question,
- 21:16Speaker 5: the right person to lead Apple into the future.
- 21:20Speaker 2: And he was packed. Cook was handpicked by Steve Jobs.
- 21:25Speaker 2: And I think the reason he's living he's just leaving.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I think he's just tired of making sixty million dollars
- 21:31Speaker 2: a year. Would yeah, He's go, okay, that's enough.
- 21:34Speaker 3: What would you do with that much money?
- 21:37Speaker 2: There's no I don't even know. I mean it's you know,
- 21:40Speaker 2: money is no. Money is no longer an issue. I mean,
- 21:42Speaker 2: when you start making this kind of money, it's just
- 21:44Speaker 2: a question of keeping tabs.
- 21:46Speaker 3: That's all, all right, Labor secret number, go ahead. I'm sorry.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Another one bites the dust here.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Labor Secretary Lori Chuvez de Remer is out of President
- 21:58Speaker 6: Donald Trump's cabinet. That cabinet's got it's like got old
- 22:02Speaker 6: tuna in there. There's nothing left in there. The White
- 22:05Speaker 6: House said this on Monday. Strangely, this all comes out
- 22:10Speaker 6: dealing with multiple allegations of abusing her position's power, which
- 22:14Speaker 6: seems to be, you know, a pattern, having an affair
- 22:18Speaker 6: with a subordinate and drinking alcohol in the job. You know,
- 22:23Speaker 6: that's another pattern.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I mean, look, what the.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Who the president is selecting nothing to do with credentials.
- 22:30Speaker 2: It all has to do with loyalty, nothing more, nothing less.
- 22:34Speaker 2: And he's putting in people that are incompetent, I mean
- 22:37Speaker 2: straight out in competent.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Forget about you know, I understand.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Loyalty, and I certainly understand uh, you know, Republicans, and
- 22:44Speaker 2: I understand all of that. I understand philosophy, but just
- 22:48Speaker 2: just sheer incompetence. I mean, Cash Puttel, the crazy stuff
- 22:52Speaker 2: he's doing. How about Robert Kennedy, the crazy ass stuff
- 22:56Speaker 2: that he's doing. I mean, when you look at this,
- 22:58Speaker 2: you go leave me alone. I mean, do you take
- 23:01Speaker 2: anybody seriously? Marco Rubio probably, uh, yeah.
- 23:05Speaker 6: You're probably right. Probably Marco Lucio is about the only one. Otherwise,
- 23:10Speaker 6: it's kind of an island of misfit toys. It's just
- 23:13Speaker 6: it's yeah, I interesting, Bill, if you've noticed the White
- 23:17Speaker 6: House announced this. The past couple times this has occurred,
- 23:22Speaker 6: somebody stepping down, being laid on whatever it is. Trump
- 23:26Speaker 6: himself posted on social media. This time it wasn't Trump.
- 23:30Speaker 3: And there's yeah, you're going to find more and more
- 23:32Speaker 3: of these. I mean, this is uh.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I think when they really investigate Cash Mattel, I think
- 23:36Speaker 2: he's next to go.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I know his first words were, I didn't see this coming.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I was too drunk. That's the allegation. Oh, I'm I'm sorry.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna be sued for two hundred and fifty million dollars,
- 23:49Speaker 2: aren't I for defamation?
- 23:52Speaker 6: He came out and his official statement was, Yeah, for
- 23:59Speaker 6: the skeptic.
- 24:00Speaker 5: Trump's going to read. He's going to prove it. And
- 24:03Speaker 5: actually he's going to be reading from the Bible.
- 24:05Speaker 3: It's Ezekiel twenty three to twenty.
- 24:08Speaker 4: I thought he was reading from Second Chronicles.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It's an inside Joe those Oh oh, he does he say,
- 24:15Speaker 3: doesn't he read?
- 24:15Speaker 2: I am the word, I am the I am the guy,
- 24:19Speaker 2: I am the Grand Puba.
- 24:21Speaker 4: That'd be something.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I am, I am the Grand Vizier.
- 24:24Speaker 5: Anyway, He's going to be reading scripture via video message
- 24:27Speaker 5: from the Oval Office at three pm hour time, and
- 24:33Speaker 5: that's happening today. It's called the event, is called America
- 24:36Speaker 5: reads the Bible.
- 24:39Speaker 6: If his hands start burning, that'd be hilarious, like smoke
- 24:43Speaker 6: coming up from anyhow. All right, so this is a crazy,
- 24:47Speaker 6: crazy story. You heard the promo for Gary and Shannon.
- 24:51Speaker 6: They'll be talking about this. But NASA said yesterday it's
- 24:54Speaker 6: going to work with other federal agencies to do an
- 24:57Speaker 6: investigation and looking to the deaths and disappearances of eleven
- 25:03Speaker 6: nuclear space and space scientists, raising concerns in Washington about
- 25:08Speaker 6: whether they were targeted for their work and some of
- 25:11Speaker 6: the work, you know, focuses on unidentified anomalist phenomenon.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Are you a yes, yeah, UFOs, So it is kind
- 25:23Speaker 3: of bizarre, like it is.
- 25:25Speaker 2: George Nori will be talking about this, and he will
- 25:28Speaker 2: absolutely refer to some of these science as having suffered
- 25:33Speaker 2: Martian anal probes are normal dating, Yes, Yes, that is weird.
- 25:39Speaker 2: It's a weird story.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Uh.
- 25:42Speaker 5: We had another close call cheapers creepers. Fas investigating two
- 25:48Speaker 5: Southwest Airlines pilots took action to avoid an in air
- 25:51Speaker 5: collision over the skies of Nashville.
- 25:55Speaker 4: That's from Nashville's air Traffic Control tower. It happened like two.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Days after the FAA enforced a ground delay because of
- 26:06Speaker 5: an air traffic controller shortage.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Isn't it just a question of time? There are too
- 26:12Speaker 3: many of these, Well.
- 26:13Speaker 4: There's already been a couple.
- 26:15Speaker 2: There was fun in DC and now they're really really
- 26:19Speaker 2: increasing in number, and a lot of it has to
- 26:22Speaker 2: do with it.
- 26:22Speaker 3: There's just a shortage.
- 26:23Speaker 2: It's shortage because some airports are just shutting down for
- 26:26Speaker 2: a period of time until they get enough people in
- 26:29Speaker 2: the control tower. And it's a great job too I
- 26:33Speaker 2: don't know why they don't have people lined up, and
- 26:36Speaker 2: maybe they do, but the training process is years to
- 26:40Speaker 2: do this.
- 26:41Speaker 3: How long before that becomes AI. Yeah, it's a good point.
- 26:46Speaker 3: That's an AI would be perfect for that. Oh yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 3: it would be excellent for it. Yeah.
- 26:51Speaker 2: And you can choose the accents too, where the collision
- 26:55Speaker 2: is about to happen. You can have a woman who
- 26:58Speaker 2: does it in an Irish accent.
- 27:01Speaker 6: You can be heavy king like original days of ways.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Turn left, turn left.
- 27:07Speaker 3: This is a tip one.
- 27:09Speaker 6: So this is a sand Bordino County family warning the
- 27:13Speaker 6: loss of two dogs. One was a ninety pound husky
- 27:18Speaker 6: and a sixty five pound what is it Anatolian shepherd
- 27:23Speaker 6: and broad daylight by a mountain lion.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that is scary. I mean, coyotes go after little
- 27:30Speaker 2: tiny dogs. Mountain lions will eat anything and they are
- 27:36Speaker 2: dangerous as hell.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Mountain lions.
- 27:38Speaker 2: We had one in our neighborhood that was reported. That's
- 27:41Speaker 2: scary stuff, that really is.
- 27:45Speaker 5: It was, and the they caught it all on the
- 27:47Speaker 5: family security camera.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Oh man, oh that is really heartbreaking.
- 27:52Speaker 4: But I mean the lion was doing what lions do.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Because they said that the lion came back afterwards, took
- 27:57Speaker 5: the shepherd and carried her away.
- 27:59Speaker 4: So he was looking for food.
- 28:00Speaker 5: You're hungry, Okay, I wasn't just an winvoked attack that
- 28:04Speaker 5: was looking for food.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:05Speaker 2: And then when you're you lose your toddler or you
- 28:08Speaker 2: use your lose your football player who six four and
- 28:11Speaker 2: two hundred and eighty pounds, because mountain lions are that strong.
- 28:16Speaker 6: A ninety pound husky is a big it's a big dog.
- 28:20Speaker 3: You don't have to worry about. Uh. You know, we
- 28:22Speaker 3: have coyotes like crazy in the neighborhood.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Anybody who has even a medium sized dog doesn't even
- 28:26Speaker 2: worry about it.
- 28:27Speaker 3: You know, Kno's wife won't let him out anymore.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Uh yeah, ConA, okay, I think we do have time
- 28:36Speaker 2: for one more.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Okay. The Supreme Court is going to take on a
- 28:39Speaker 4: First Amendment issue.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Uh. They agreed to review a Colorado law that requires
- 28:44Speaker 5: preschools receiving taxpayer money to enroll kids of same sex couples.
- 28:49Speaker 5: That sets up an important First Amendment showdown at the
- 28:52Speaker 5: High Court, putting religious rights against LGBTQ families. So in Colorado,
- 28:58Speaker 5: they say, you know what you can get state funding
- 28:59Speaker 5: is did you adhere to non discrimination things in the
- 29:02Speaker 5: archdiocese in Denvers is that's against our religious beliefs.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And the court is probably going to rule in favor
- 29:09Speaker 2: of First Amendment religious rights because that's what this court
- 29:13Speaker 2: is about. It is very tough to be an LGPT
- 29:16Speaker 2: LGBTQ person in today's society.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Why would they get any government money because.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Everybody gets government money, but not if you if if
- 29:28Speaker 2: you are a church and your focus it has exclusionary practices,
- 29:34Speaker 2: how can you get money from the federal government. Because
- 29:38Speaker 2: this is both private and public. Public schools also get
- 29:42Speaker 2: this kind of money, and the laws it's.
- 29:44Speaker 6: Not public if unless the public can go and the
- 29:47Speaker 6: public can't.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And that's the religious part that is sort of a given.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But this is but this is public school we're talking about,
- 29:54Speaker 2: and this lawsuit is getting public school and publics and
- 29:59Speaker 2: according to the law, it is according in Colorado, you
- 30:04Speaker 2: can't discriminate. You can't LBGTQ kids get federals, they get
- 30:10Speaker 2: federal funding no matter what their gender is or what
- 30:13Speaker 2: that gender affirming position.
- 30:14Speaker 6: That I don't think the churches are in the right
- 30:18Speaker 6: hereat you can't include people and get money from it,
- 30:21Speaker 6: right that's exactly it. But if actually have the principle
- 30:24Speaker 6: of your faith, great, but don't expect federal backing, then.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. Well that's the point.
- 30:29Speaker 2: But this is even private I mean it goes to
- 30:31Speaker 2: private schools too. There's certain things you can't discriminate even
- 30:36Speaker 2: in private even private schools, religious schools. You can't say
- 30:40Speaker 2: we're not going to let black people in. Can't do it.
- 30:44Speaker 2: The law doesn't allow you to do that. Let's say,
- 30:46Speaker 2: in the Mormon religion. Not anymore, but it no, no,
- 30:50Speaker 2: but it used to be.
- 30:51Speaker 3: It used to be.
- 30:53Speaker 2: That black people were not allowed, certainly to be elders,
- 30:57Speaker 2: and they just were discriminated. Again, it's because of the
- 31:01Speaker 2: biblical reference to children of Ham sandwiches that.
- 31:06Speaker 6: First of all, it's not a biblical reference. That is
- 31:08Speaker 6: a reference in their works, not in mainstream CHRISTI.
- 31:13Speaker 2: It's still children of Ham baloney, whatever the hell it
- 31:18Speaker 2: is in the rural l what you're doing, I know
- 31:20Speaker 2: what I'm doing, Yeah, I know what I'm doing.
- 31:22Speaker 6: No, Seriously, when it comes to theology, most of your
- 31:25Speaker 6: stuff is boloney.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Well there you are, there, you are value. Judgment, You've
- 31:33Speaker 2: got no value.
- 31:35Speaker 3: We're done. That's it. We're done.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Now. We have the Middle East crisis, man, that doesn't
- 31:41Speaker 2: go away. We're going to talk about that, and we're
- 31:43Speaker 2: looking at well, tomorrow night, maybe some things are going
- 31:47Speaker 2: to be happening. This is kf I am six forty.

- 31:53Speaker 1: show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am, and
