- 0:02podcast. Whoa.
- 0:04Wow. Wow, wow.
- 0:06Got you. Wow, wow, wow.
- 0:11All bad, all bad. I don't have as much as you do,
- 0:13but they don't call me the throw goat around here.
- 0:15So they do not God. Like 10 seconds into the
- 0:19episode. Bad on the What?
- 0:25Is it bad? I don't even know where Bolton
- 0:29is. It never heard that I've heard
- 0:32that. I didn't know what you were
- 0:33saying. Yeah, no time to fool around or
- 0:39some such something cool. Put them out in the past.
- 0:44Welcome and 1:00 and all to Bangor management, the fantasy
- 0:47hockey podcast with your host Jake.
- 0:52Cool guy Josh with the Knick. Knacks, they call me.
- 0:57And Kevin? I love my nickname.
- 1:03You have so many nicknames. I'm cool just being Kevin.
- 1:09Even just Kevin. Well, just Kevin.
- 1:11Yeah, exhaust. Simple cat.
- 1:17So like I I more went to like a daddy daycare reference.
- 1:21If you guys ever seen that, remember that guy?
- 1:23That was the flash. I was wearing the Flash costume
- 1:27and then he just like, I don't know if I wanna be the Flash.
- 1:28And then he's just. Such a restaurant or something.
- 1:31But anyway, it's such a deep cut.
- 1:35Decided Well, we're supposed to talk about our our fantasy
- 1:37hockey pigs. Yes, Kevin, not the Flash.
- 1:44Alright, alright. We're we're liaising guys.
- 1:47Keep going, keep going. OK, so today we have a really
- 1:52fun episode for y'all. It is our Ice and Fire TM
- 1:57copyright pics. We each have two players and
- 2:05either Ice or Fire or both or one of each, nobody knows.
- 2:09That shall be discovered later on and we are going to tell you
- 2:12all about them before we get into this.
- 2:14You can find the links to our socials in the link tree in the
- 2:17podcast subscription. We are new to Discord so be sure
- 2:20to join the community over there.
- 2:22Instagram, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, TikTok.
- 2:26Missions. Except for that one we were
- 2:32sticking. To fantasy content.
- 2:35It could be someone's fantasy. Alright, alright, let's get into
- 2:40it for those for those patiently awaiting the explanation.
- 2:43For the episode. Did everybody already tuned out?
- 2:46Everybody still here? We really appreciate it.
- 2:48Thanks for rocking. With yes, yes, patience is a
- 2:51virtue. So thank you for that.
- 2:53And Kevin, why don't you give the explanation for what ice and
- 2:56fire, definitely not fire and ice means?
- 2:59Yes. So Ice and Fire different from
- 3:02our previous episode where we talked about the significant
- 3:05signature picks, the significant signature picks, which are just,
- 3:10you know, reputations takers that we want to dress in all of
- 3:12our drafts. Ice and fire are guys who we
- 3:16have personal vendettas against or, you know, guys that we
- 3:19cherish really close to our hearts like that we think are
- 3:22going to Josh is the smiling profusely.
- 3:25But ice picks would be guys that we think are going to do not
- 3:30good this season. And maybe that's contrary to
- 3:33consensus. And fire picks are guys that we
- 3:36think are going to be significantly better or just,
- 3:38you know, better than where they're going and better than
- 3:40what people generally think. And these are personal pics or
- 3:43not necessarily completely aligned between the three of us.
- 3:46My picks would be my pick, Josh picks would be Josh picks, and
- 3:49Jake picks will unfortunately be Jake.
- 3:52I would say fortunately and I was also going to say I don't
- 3:54know if a personal vendetta against my guy.
- 3:58So maybe that's just me. Yes, I like the chairs close to
- 4:02my heart though that. Was that was that was adorable.
- 4:08Yeah, I I definitely don't hate my guy.
- 4:10I'm just I think it's more for me it's like there's there's
- 4:13where he's getting drafted and I think he's gonna end up way like
- 4:16either both or whatever. But to me, ice is there's a guy
- 4:19getting drafted, he's gonna end up way below his ADP.
- 4:22There's a guy getting drafted, it's gonna be way above his ADP.
- 4:24He's going to exceed it pretty. Much really close to.
- 4:27Her senses and being terrified. Has emotionally attached to it.
- 4:34Yeah. Apparently like what I would
- 4:36write love letters too and the other I would not share my door
- 4:39with him if we were on the. Title Long story, short and far
- 4:42from ADP and close to our hearts.
- 4:46Thank you, Josh. I I think and hope they get it
- 4:50now, yeah. What's your problem?
- 4:55So yeah, so Josh is gonna list the name Kevin and I are gonna
- 4:57guess. If it's really or fire, you know
- 5:00what just reminded me of that? Episode of that show.
- 5:03No, that episode of The Office where Michael is waiting on a on
- 5:08a whiteboard, he's just like, don't do this.
- 5:10And he does like the circle with the bar in the middle.
- 5:14I was like buddy everybody has like 2 circles with two bars in
- 5:17the middle of this. Like don't, don't, not do.
- 5:19This. I don't know.
- 5:21I don't know how to make it more clear.
- 5:25Alright, yeah, we don't know how to make this more clear, so
- 5:27let's dive in. So say your player name, we'll
- 5:29guess if it's ice or fire, and you'll tell us what it is.
- 5:32Cool. OK, my first pick of my 2 picks
- 5:37is Cold Cofield of the Montreal Canadiens.
- 5:42This is absolutely Joshi's fire pick because he's a Habs player.
- 5:46Fire. Yeah, I'm going to go with fire.
- 5:48No, but Josh doesn't like taking halves players.
- 5:51By the way, just to the listeners, we haven't seen each
- 5:53other's picks before this, so it's all kind of up in the air.
- 5:55So maybe I'm big braining this, but I feel like if we go, I'm
- 5:59gonna go with fire as well. Usually doesn't like taking
- 6:02them. So let's see what he says.
- 6:03All right, so this is my fire pick.
- 6:07You guys are correct and buggy is correct.
- 6:09I usually, I usually fade Habs players because I think they're
- 6:12taking too high in our league. Yeah, and look how that worked
- 6:15out for me. But I am very excited for what
- 6:19cold coffee it's gonna do this year.
- 6:20I think that last year, so his last year were .85 points per
- 6:24game .21 power play points and 2.9 shots.
- 6:27And honestly seeing those shots in my head, I'm like he could do
- 6:29better than that. And most people C 2.9 shots.
- 6:32You're like that's great, that's great for that category.
- 6:34I'm super happy with that. But I think Cofield could be one
- 6:37of those guys who flirts with four shots a game.
- 6:39And I think one of the things that was eating into his shots
- 6:41last year was when Lina was on power play 1.
- 6:43So I expect line to be off power play one by mid season, if not
- 6:47earlier. I've been seeing in training
- 6:49camp that the haves might be even doing some sort of not a
- 6:52full split, but actually giving some time to power play too
- 6:55because they have enough players to spread it among the two.
- 6:57And I've been seeing actually both Line and Demidov on power
- 7:00play 2 and they're putting Bolduc on power play one as that
- 7:03fifth guy knows what they're actually going to go with.
- 7:05But there's definitely something being played around with.
- 7:07And I don't see line sticking power play on all year.
- 7:09And I think the second line is off power play one.
- 7:11Cofield is back to being the trigger guy and that adds a lot
- 7:13of shots on goal to what he's going to do.
- 7:16So also behaves as a whole just got a lot better this offseason,
- 7:20whether it's the acquisitions they made of Dobson or whether
- 7:23or Bolduc or whether the young guys just taking another step
- 7:26forward. So when you're one of the key
- 7:28pieces of a team and all the surrounding players got better,
- 7:30you're also gonna get better. So I think that Caulfield is a
- 7:33big, big name who's gonna jump up and impress a lot of people
- 7:36this year. When you said flirting with four
- 7:38shots on goal, I just like imagine Cole going to like like
- 7:43a four shot. Oh hey, how you doing girl?
- 7:48Come here often. What's an elite stat like you're
- 7:52doing in a place like that? That's exactly what I meant.
- 8:00I'm glad you got that. So I'm extremely high on the
- 8:05haves and the highest of everyone here.
- 8:08I don't know if you mentioned Demidov and how he's such an
- 8:12elite playmaker too. I mean, he made a pass to line
- 8:15in the most recent preseason game was insane.
- 8:18And I actually am high on line. Doesn't necessarily mean that I
- 8:24don't think that negatively affects Cofield so badly, but
- 8:27it's what I mentioned in the previous episode when I was
- 8:31speaking about Sergachev. It's like there's a lot of guys
- 8:33could be on this power play one. There's no question call field,
- 8:36it's gonna be there. So even if Ryan is there, Coffee
- 8:38will get more assists. If he's not, he'll just get more
- 8:41goals. You know what I mean?
- 8:42There's a lot of potential for Caulfield to have.
- 8:46I think he's already had breakout years, but like a mega
- 8:48breakout year. He hasn't hit a point for game
- 8:50yet. Last year he had 70.
- 8:52This year I think 85 is within range and finally getting
- 8:55correct forward goal hurdle that he's been.
- 8:59Or to never, yeah. Exactly, exactly.
- 9:03He won't. We won't be able to say that
- 9:05about him anymore. But yeah, it's a great year to
- 9:08own Habs players, I think, in your fantasy league, and he's
- 9:11definitely one of those top ones that I want.
- 9:14Yeah, I mean, I think similarly to Jakey and and what you said,
- 9:16Josh, I think the Habs power play is going to be better.
- 9:21I think the haves are going to be better and I think Coffee is
- 9:23going to just simply be better by playing with Suzuki for
- 9:27longer, having more talent around him.
- 9:29He can definitely hover around, you know, the the floor feels
- 9:33like 3, which is already a pretty high bar.
- 9:36If he gets anywhere close to four.
- 9:38It's just tremendous value for where you're getting him in
- 9:40drafts. I'm not worried about that power
- 9:42play. Like you said, I think line
- 9:45Lenny is good for one thing, and it's being on the power play and
- 9:48I feel like I've been outspoken about this.
- 9:49But I just think that like, even if that's the only thing he's
- 9:51good, he shouldn't be there because we can still be
- 9:53successful without him there and we need to, you know, put the
- 9:56best players in the best spots. I think the power play should
- 9:59have line on P2. Put them above there.
- 10:02Keep slapping a different guy. I think realistically from what
- 10:05we saw in preseason that like what you referenced key that
- 10:08that demand often line pass was sick.
- 10:11But now just imagine if it was like Demidov to Caufield because
- 10:16line is not there. I even think there's a chance
- 10:19that Sloth gets bumped off and they just leave line right there
- 10:21and and Demidov and Cofield somehow make their way onto
- 10:24this. But either way, I just think
- 10:26he's a great player. I think the haves in general are
- 10:28super fun this year and also good.
- 10:31Like, we made the playoffs. Don't forget we made the
- 10:33playoffs last year. Yeah, This year we're poised to
- 10:36do better than we did last year. I'm super high on Cofield.
- 10:40What are you thinking? Images though, that's the thing.
- 10:42Hmm. Wouldn't you like to know?
- 10:45I would. No, I'm kidding.
- 10:47I think. I think you could be 6 seventh
- 10:49round or something like. That 6-7 sorry 6 just set me up,
- 10:53didn't you? Yeah, I I agree.
- 10:57Like I, I'm not necessarily reaching on him, but I totally
- 11:00think he's gonna exceed his ADP, you know, I, I think.
- 11:03Like, I mean, that's the whole man.
- 11:04Yeah, that's the whole point of the fire pick, right?
- 11:06But. Yeah, you'll drive them in the
- 11:086th or 7th and he's gonna end up being like a fourth round value,
- 11:11Yeah. Would you, would you, would you
- 11:14take him ahead of a guy like like the Brincat?
- 11:18Yeah, no. Question.
- 11:19Yes. OK.
- 11:20What about like a I don't want to say no.
- 11:23We're gonna talk about do you think?
- 11:26Like, I feel like realistically what we want from from Cofield
- 11:29is what like Clayton Keller does.
- 11:31And I think he has a range of outcomes.
- 11:34Yeah, really like going into 7th.
- 11:37Grade point per game plus like not plus by much, but he can be
- 11:41over a point per game over three shots on goal and solid power
- 11:44play points. That's like a fourth round pick
- 11:46value like Chicky was saying. And you can get him in the 6th
- 11:48or 7th. So I think that's that's why
- 11:50he's my fire pick. Marchenko or Coffield?
- 11:56That's a good one. I'm actually going to go with
- 11:57Cofield. Why?
- 12:00I think Caufield shoots more I I'm really like I'm a believer
- 12:03in the the shot positive regression this season. 2.9 to
- 12:07me like I said was is his like floor or as Marchenko last
- 12:10season averaged around 2.8. Obviously it ramped up towards
- 12:13the end of the season but I definitely see getting more
- 12:15points. I see the Hawks power play being
- 12:17better than Columbus's and points wise they might be
- 12:20similar but I'd give the edge for the shots.
- 12:24Or if he gets 4, that's like amazing.
- 12:26And then he will get 40 goals, like almost no brainer.
- 12:28And then, yeah, you're super happy with that on your team,
- 12:32OK. This could give us.
- 12:35One, I don't know what y'all are gonna think, so I'm gonna say
- 12:39the player's name and you're gonna let me know of the
- 12:42Nashville Predators. Steven Stamkos.
- 12:46Steven Stamkos, if everything that I know about JQ would lend
- 12:51this to be his fire pick. This just screams like a janky
- 12:54fire pick. I I'm so low on staff because I
- 12:59can't imagine anyone thinking he's gonna be good.
- 13:01I'm gonna say ice. Burger Josh is right, it's my
- 13:06ice pick, thank. God, the relief I just felt.
- 13:13Kevin doesn't believe in you at all.
- 13:16Like, Ouch, whatever, he already said that he he's rising on the
- 13:20Blues, so I can't be mad about it.
- 13:25Anyway, why? Steven Stamkos is my ice pick,
- 13:29who I definitely don't hate, by the way.
- 13:31I want to reiterate that. And I would share my personal
- 13:35vendetta against Steven. Stamkos no personal vendettas.
- 13:38I don't know why. Kevin I don't know what Kevin
- 13:41feels about his picks later, but no personal vendetta against
- 13:45Steven. Stamkos, He is one of the greats
- 13:47and it's sad to put him in the ice category because he has such
- 13:50a great career up until this point, but I don't think there's
- 13:54any real hope for a Nashville bounce back this year.
- 13:57This is not at all to discredit the year like the career that
- 14:01he's had, but essentially one thing that I would kind of point
- 14:07out is that Stamkos has always played with great players and
- 14:12Forsberg is a very good player, but he's not an amazing insanely
- 14:17like generational. Not controv.
- 14:20He's not Kucherov. He's not single.
- 14:21We he's not Lecavalier. He's not, I mean, Hedman, yeah,
- 14:27yeah, he's he's he's been around.
- 14:29I would say that Hedman and Yoshi have had similar careers,
- 14:32but at this point in his career, he's not as good as when Stamkos
- 14:35used to play with admin, right? And he's not kind of like he's
- 14:39amazing. He's always been so good.
- 14:40But he's not like a make something out of nothing type
- 14:42guy like Crosby who's been able to succeed despite having a
- 14:45horrible team with him. And at this point, Sam Cost is
- 14:4735. So I don't really think that
- 14:51he's going to be the spark that Nashville needs.
- 14:56And and you know what? It's it's I think his shots on
- 15:01goal are gonna hover around too. And I think you're just gonna
- 15:04be, yeah, disappointed drafting him.
- 15:05It's at cost. With all that being said, I'm
- 15:08kind of unsure of what's actually going to happen with
- 15:11him this year because he's such a known commodity that, you
- 15:16know, he's going around 8. My eighth round pick, I was
- 15:20checking this out when I was looking into this yesterday.
- 15:22Now everybody knows Stamkos and before this it's been like 5
- 15:27consecutive years of a point per game and then there's a huge
- 15:30drop off to 53 and 82 games last year.
- 15:33Do we think that because of what happened last year, he's gonna
- 15:38fall and people are going to like let him slide or you think
- 15:41people are going to take him at cost?
- 15:42Because I don't think people are going to reach.
- 15:44Nobody's reaching on time coast. He's definitely gonna slide like
- 15:47he he could be. I'm super low on him and on
- 15:50Nashville, but I think he's gonna slide really far, to the
- 15:54point where he really doesn't have to do much to make it worth
- 15:57the draft value where he gets taken.
- 15:59But I'm still not interested. Yeah, I think if you're looking
- 16:03at, I'm looking at basic Yahoo ADP and they have him around
- 16:07pick 128. That's not like for your Bangers
- 16:09league. That's not for any specifically.
- 16:11That's like a standard Yahoo league.
- 16:12They haven't met at the ADP 128 expert rank around 1:50.
- 16:18So that's already just you can see that the experts rank came
- 16:21later than what his ADP is. Let me give you some names
- 16:25because I'm curious, because obviously like we're doing fire
- 16:27and ice and so that was already pretty low on your draft board.
- 16:31So for him to be an ice on top of that, you kind of you have to
- 16:34draw the line somewhere of if he's even going to be valuable
- 16:37for in any at any point this season.
- 16:40Like would you rather have Stamkos or Matt Dushane?
- 16:44Duchene. Duchene.
- 16:46OK, well that's already I feel like a pretty low bar given how
- 16:48everybody is low on on Duchene. But what about Stamkos?
- 16:52Or like a Richard Raquel. Raquel for sure.
- 16:58Well, that's. Probably sound gross.
- 17:02Really look at that after the season Raquel had last year,
- 17:05like I'm I'm I don't think Rachel can do anything near what
- 17:07he did last year. Like you're naming all the guys
- 17:09on low on so it's it's good. Would you rathers?
- 17:10But to me, that's. A no, You know what?
- 17:12You know I'm fine. Yeah.
- 17:14I changed my mind. Stamkos or or Logan Stankovic?
- 17:20Stamkos. Thank Robin.
- 17:21What? Yeah, yeah, I I was just
- 17:26thinking that like with Raquel, he's probably just gonna get
- 17:28traded. So I'm kind of thinking of the
- 17:30fact that I don't like when players get traded mid season,
- 17:33but Stan Coven at least has the opportunity, I think to be good
- 17:39on what may be a different Rod offence.
- 17:42But yeah, we'll see. I mean, Stamkos is a it's a
- 17:44mess. It's.
- 17:45A mess I'm course or one of our favorite sleepers, Morgan Geeky.
- 17:48Geeky. Alright, so if if you're Morgan
- 17:52Geek is going undrafted in any draft, that's not like 1718
- 17:56rounds plus 15 rounds plus. So if you're taking Geeky over
- 18:01Stamkos, you're just not drafting samples and that's
- 18:03pretty much it. So you would let them slide
- 18:05around 18, Josh, I was thinking like.
- 18:08Geeky is not gonna go that late. No, you could probably go around
- 18:11in our league. We plan a 14 team league for
- 18:14this is your first time listening.
- 18:15Like our league, our home league is 14 teams, like 22 rounds
- 18:20deep. Rosters are like 20 plus.
- 18:23So yeah, yeah, for him to go 15 plus, I feel like at that point
- 18:28it's you're taking a lot of flies.
- 18:29We're taking a lot of guys that are not cemented geeky.
- 18:33I would take over Stamkos so. Cutter, Cutter, Gotcha or
- 18:36Stamkos? That's close, honestly.
- 18:39I think I'm not gay. I'm not sure what goatee is
- 18:42capable of in the back cats, so that's why I'm not sure.
- 18:46But if he's not, if he can't do much in the back, I'll take the
- 18:49flyer on Stamkos there. But neither I'm too excited.
- 18:52About yeah, I think I'm gonna go there.
- 18:54Let's just. We're just wild, right?
- 18:55I mean this is like. Literally easier to go, yeah.
- 18:58That's why he's your eyes. It's it's major ice.
- 19:01All right, Kevin, let's move on to one of your choices.
- 19:06Alright, I feel like both of mine could be kind of spicy, to
- 19:08be honest. They can go either way, yeah.
- 19:10So let's talk about my first pick, Logan Cooley.
- 19:15Now where do you guys think I'm going with this one?
- 19:20That's really tough. Yeah, cause cause we've spoken
- 19:25about how we have no idea if he's gonna actually end up on
- 19:27Power Play 1 So and I and I know Kevin, Kevin doesn't really have
- 19:32like a super strong feeling one way or the other on that like
- 19:36it's. Tough.
- 19:37Well, we're about to find out. Yeah, I know.
- 19:39At least up until now. I think it's your fire.
- 19:44I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go fire 2.
- 19:46I think that college is fun enough player that maybe, maybe
- 19:49you believe in his power. Play 1.
- 19:51Yeah, the no blackouts though is like a real question mark
- 19:54that's. Yeah, especially with Kevin, how
- 19:56he likes to take his guys. Alright, Kevin, what do you got
- 19:58for us? He is going to be my fire pick.
- 20:01So you guys were both correct with Logan Cooley.
- 20:05I feel like the biggest question that everybody has about him is
- 20:08that P1 deployment, which he did not have last year.
- 20:11And if you look at his stats from last year, he average, you
- 20:15know, .61 points per game. Sorry, more than .61 points per
- 20:19game. It was .886 points per game.
- 20:23OK. Yeah, that's.
- 20:23What I thought, yeah, sorry, I was, I was looking at something
- 20:26else, but 2.11 shots per game and the rest of the category is
- 20:31obviously are not anything to write home about.
- 20:33But the main thing with him is he was on this quote UN quote 1B
- 20:37power play and he still got 0.27 points per game.
- 20:41I think this yeah, PowerPoint, sorry, this year he I think he's
- 20:44cemented as the 1C on this roster.
- 20:46Last year we saw, you know, Barrett Hayton get exposure
- 20:48there in the beginning, but he's going to be playing with Dylan
- 20:51Gunther and J Peterken most likely, if what we're seeing in
- 20:54these line rushes in the preseason games are are going to
- 20:56be accurate. And even if like one of those
- 20:58winners get swapped out, like he can play with Clayton Keller or
- 21:01Nick Schmaltz, which is not the the the lowest of low linemates
- 21:05either, right? I just think he's set up to have
- 21:07a huge year this year. I think he can break a point per
- 21:10game. I think he can get over 2.5
- 21:12shots a game. I think also if he gets that P1,
- 21:17you're drafting him at his floor right now with the value of him
- 21:20being on P2 when he cracks P1, I think he becomes one of the best
- 21:25centres in fantasy. I think we will see him close to
- 21:29you know those ranges of like the Robert Thomas and and stuff
- 21:32like that, because Robert Thomas gets you know, over a point per
- 21:35game, two shots a game. If Logan Cooley is already
- 21:38beating him in the shots a game and getting maybe less 510 less
- 21:41points and you're drafting him 5 to 8 rounds later, that's just
- 21:47going to be tremendous value. I think his ADP is so low
- 21:49because of the uncertainty and you can take advantage of that
- 21:51and get them. As you know, he could be the two
- 21:53senior officer, 3 senior roster depending how deep your league
- 21:56is and I'd be thrilled to have that.
- 21:59Yeah, I like this pick a lot. It's like you said.
- 22:01Where even without the power play 1, he did so well.
- 22:05This really feels like a lot like your Hagel love.
- 22:08You know, it's a it's a guy who has the floor of even without
- 22:12the power play 1, they're super, super good.
- 22:14And if they get the power play one, they just they're stealing,
- 22:16just flies right off. So it feels very similar to me.
- 22:20And yeah, definitely it's getting taken into account in
- 22:22his ADP where he's dropping because of that.
- 22:24I will say one thing, if you're in a face off wins league,
- 22:26having a pure C who only ones like 5 faceoffs is A is a bit
- 22:29rough. But leads are not face off
- 22:31league, so that's why I'm for sure you know, with the grain of
- 22:33salt. But yeah, absolutely.
- 22:35Yeah, so that's one thing to consider, but if you're not in a
- 22:38face off win league or honestly for where he's dropping to you,
- 22:40a guy who can be a point per game .3 power play points with
- 22:43two shots in tenth round, 11th round, something like that.
- 22:48Ninth, somewhere between the 9th to 11th round.
- 22:50That's a that's a huge deal. So I like this pick a lot.
- 22:52I think you get a point per game this year.
- 22:54I don't think that's crazy out of the range of outcomes.
- 22:56He definitely has the skill for it, will be given the
- 22:58opportunity, but even if he doesn't get all the opportunity
- 23:01he's shown he could still put up numbers.
- 23:03Yeah, give you guys some questions like some, would you
- 23:05rather I'm curious or give me? Just want to say what the
- 23:08faceoffs is basically like, you're totally right and I don't
- 23:12expect anything super great, but he's very young and face offs
- 23:16are something that does come with experience.
- 23:18So one of those major stats that players evolve with.
- 23:22I think only like Barkov and Crosby were studs coming out of
- 23:25the gate, where as with him, if he is that guy who's going to be
- 23:29taking the most faceoffs on their team, I'm very high on it.
- 23:33And also he, he really does have, I mean, Hayton's good.
- 23:37He's like a good actual player, but he's not great.
- 23:40And they need like he Logan Cooley could be an elite centre.
- 23:44So he has a real nice path to being their number one guy, both
- 23:48on the power play and line 1. Hayden's a 2C or 3C, Logan
- 23:51Cooley's A1C on your team, and I don't think him not being that
- 23:56good in faceoffs is going to hold them back from being on
- 23:58that power play one if he's the 1C of this team.
- 24:01So I think when when push comes to shove and they have to put
- 24:03players on that top power play, I think he inevitably becomes
- 24:06one of those guys if he's the best centre on this team by far.
- 24:10Yeah. And also, I just want to say
- 24:12like, would you rather Logan Cooley or John Tavares?
- 24:16Tavares. I yeah, he can't not.
- 24:20Look at who gets more points this season.
- 24:23I see Quality having more points.
- 24:25I see Tavares probably getting more power, play points, way
- 24:27more face offs. Obviously I'm talking our
- 24:29league, which counts face off. That's a big one.
- 24:31Price is gonna get way more shots.
- 24:32He's gonna get a couple hits more.
- 24:34So like way more hits to ours is just too much of a complete
- 24:37player for our league settings to take coolly over him.
- 24:40But I would not be shocked at all if he gets more points.
- 24:42So if you're in a points league, I could see going coolly.
- 24:45Cooley. Cooley, or more chiefly.
- 24:49I going safely. I'm I'm looking coolly about
- 24:52both of those guys. Wow, OK, looks like I'm getting
- 24:56him in her house. I have a conviction on Logan
- 24:58Cooley, I think. I think Logan Cooley gets 80
- 25:01points minimum. I think yeah, but chiefly is
- 25:04gonna like easily do more than. That I I can see Shifley getting
- 25:08between. I think chiefly can get around
- 25:11hover around 80 as well. But I like Cooley more.
- 25:14I think he gets more shots than Shifley with with Tavares.
- 25:18Obviously Taveras will have the edge and the shots, but I don't
- 25:20think the virus gets close to 80 points.
- 25:23Yeah, I just think the backups are too much.
- 25:25I don't think he's gonna. Have I'm not I'm not looking,
- 25:27I'm not looking at the face off wins.
- 25:29But I think if if Cooley gets, let's say I'm giving
- 25:33hypothetical numbers, but if Taurus gets .5 shots more game,
- 25:38I don't think that makes up for Cooley getting 10 more points.
- 25:42Yeah, yeah, like a full shot more per game.
- 25:46And so I guess it just depends on what you're projecting, but
- 25:48yeah. Yeah, Yeah.
- 25:49No, that's fair. I mean, I'm surprised by that.
- 25:52You're not usually. This is not usually your type
- 25:53of, I don't think, but I. Think this is scary with our
- 25:57draft in two days, I don't know what to expect.
- 26:02If if Logan Cooley starts on P1 going into the season playing
- 26:06with Gunther and Patterico or some combination of Keller and
- 26:10Gunter or something like that with P1 that's stacked like
- 26:13that, what is stopping him from just, you know, getting over 80
- 26:18points if anything, if the guys around him are going to be
- 26:20hitting that threshold? Found him too, I just.
- 26:25I don't think he's going significantly later in drafts,
- 26:27so. You just named really good guys.
- 26:29OK, well, have a good one. What about Rupe hints or Cooley?
- 26:33Cooley. I think.
- 26:34Yeah, Cooley for sure. OK.
- 26:35So we're really considering him in this like much more elite
- 26:38conversation than probably where.
- 26:41He's like he wants versus Cooley the way I see it as Hints also
- 26:45doesn't win any faceoffs and doesn't get any back hats.
- 26:47So at that point it's really who thinks getting more points and I
- 26:49like Julia. Also Hints has competition for
- 26:521C. Not that he's gonna, you know,
- 26:54necessarily lose it, but Johnston could easily be A1C.
- 26:56Would you take him over Large and Kevin?
- 26:59No. I think Larkin just has a really
- 27:02high shot threshold. Like I'm, I'm really confident
- 27:05that he will get significantly more shots, but I would take, I
- 27:09think Cooley gets more points. OK, so he would take Julie over
- 27:12Larkin? It just depends because they're
- 27:15not going to be in the same spot in your dress either, right?
- 27:17So yeah, but do I think Cooley will be a better value, or do I
- 27:21think Cooley will be a better fantasy player?
- 27:23Wow, I think it's gonna be close.
- 27:25What? What did what did Cooley do to
- 27:27you? This is.
- 27:29Very You don't wanna know what he did to me.
- 27:32Alright, let's let's let's go on to the next one.
- 27:34But this was a very interesting Kevin.
- 27:36Smart fire. Yeah, that was a fire stick.
- 27:39I left. I love that.
- 27:40Yeah. All right.
- 27:41My next guy is Nikolai Euler's of the Carolina Hurricanes.
- 27:47What do you guys? Think a rod players equals
- 27:50iPlayer. Hates Rod.
- 27:53This is the biggest ice of all time.
- 27:56There's so many reasons why I have 0 interest in having him on
- 28:00my team and but I'll start with his last year.
- 28:02So to actually surprise me with how how good they were.
- 28:05So last year he had point .91 points per game .32 PowerPoints
- 28:09and 2.5 shots. That's really, really solid.
- 28:11So but here's why I think he's gonna do a lot worse than people
- 28:16are gonna people are gonna look at his last season, they're
- 28:19gonna look at the trade a lot of exciting stuff, his news, you
- 28:21know, follow that money, what I always say, but they're going to
- 28:24be excited on him. But here's.
- 28:25Why? I do always say that, but here's
- 28:27why I'm not personally excited on him.
- 28:29First of all, he's never healthy.
- 28:31So again, I don't like using that as a big, you know, factor,
- 28:34but it's definitely something to to mention he's, I mean once.
- 28:38Your carburetor. Season so yeah exactly it's a
- 28:40tiebreaker so that's just throwing that out there he's
- 28:42never healthy second of all he just got treated Carolina at the
- 28:44Rod curse we talked about that a million billion times.
- 28:47Euler's is the prototypical guy who will get hammered by rod.
- 28:51He is a very offensive guy who doesn't necessarily bring that
- 28:56much in terms of two way play and Rod wants all his players to
- 29:01be amazing defensively and OK offensively.
- 29:04So I think there's a prime candidate for the Rodgers and
- 29:07then looking at the team he's going to, he went from the
- 29:10literal first power play in the league on Winnipeg to the 28th
- 29:13power play in the league on Carolina.
- 29:15So unless you think that he was the magic touch that made it the
- 29:19first power play and he's gonna go into Carolina and bring them
- 29:21up 27 spots, there's a clear drop here in in power play
- 29:26production. You take away .15 power play
- 29:28points and all of a sudden he's at .75 points per game, 2.5
- 29:33shots. That's not someone I'm very
- 29:34excited to have on my team. So with all these reasons, he's
- 29:37my ice pick. I think he's got a flashy name
- 29:40these days. Anyone who gets traded, I think
- 29:43people get excited on them, even if the trade is not necessarily
- 29:45good for them. So so yeah, that's what I think
- 29:47about him. I have two things, Yeah, I was
- 29:51gonna say, do we genuinely think Caroline is going to be the 27th
- 29:54power play in the league this year or do we think there gonna
- 29:57be more about no league average or even better?
- 30:00Move them up 8 spots, the 20th. Last year he was on the 1st
- 30:03power play in the league. They're not sniffing top 10.
- 30:06No, the other thing is how do you take this take and compare
- 30:12it to what Jake confirmed to us, where Nicola Elder is not good
- 30:15enough to be affected by the Rod curse?
- 30:18Yeah, I remember, I remember. I didn't, I didn't necessarily
- 30:23agree with that. I think I mean, look at his
- 30:24production from last year. I think that the reason he
- 30:27hadn't had that production years prior is because they refused to
- 30:29put him on Power Play 1. He finally gets put on Power
- 30:32Play 1 and then gets shipped off.
- 30:34So I do think Ellers is a very talented player.
- 30:36I've liked him for years. I've avoided him because of his
- 30:39production, of his deployment. He finally got to the
- 30:42deployment, but now I'm avoiding him because he got traded to a
- 30:44rod team. So I do think he has the talent.
- 30:47He could be really, really strong player if he was in a
- 30:51better position to succeed, as he showed last year.
- 30:54But I think he's definitely susceptible to the Rodgers.
- 30:57You know that Anakin and Padme meme?
- 31:01You know I'm talking about. Yes, I know exactly.
- 31:03So it's like Euler's face to rod.
- 31:07It's like, wow, after we're performing so well last year and
- 31:09getting like traded here with a decent contract, I'm a shoe in
- 31:13for power play one, right, the Anakin.
- 31:16And it's like, right. Yeah.
- 31:19So, so it's when I said that I just mean that that the drop in
- 31:24Rantanen was like absurd you. Know so I was teasing.
- 31:29No, no, it's a fair thing to bring up, honestly, because 63
- 31:33and 69 last year was his. 6/7. Was his his record.
- 31:41And it's not as if that's so incredible, right?
- 31:47He's not an elite player whose fantasy value is gonna like go
- 31:51down so much because it wasn't that that high to begin with.
- 31:54Now it's not going to be better. It's gonna be worse.
- 31:57It's just I don't know if it's gonna be so much worse as bad as
- 32:00you think, you know what I mean? But that being said.
- 32:03As far as? Yeah, as far as the objective
- 32:06output goes, ignoring last year, yeah, you just can't trust a
- 32:10player on this team. The only guy good enough to do
- 32:13this or two it's it's Aho and Marty Natures, who's now moved
- 32:17on to bigger and. Better things.
- 32:19Can't forget about Seth Jarvis the GOAT.
- 32:21That's true. That's true.
- 32:23Yeah. So I don't know.
- 32:24I mean, he's not elite and I think that he's just going to be
- 32:29moderately worse. And nobody should be hyped up by
- 32:32the new team situation that he's dealing with right now.
- 32:36It's not a good team to be on for fantasy purposes.
- 32:39I will play devil's advocate though, and I will say that, you
- 32:42know, if he plays a full season and hypothetically he gets the
- 32:47same exposure the whole season, he's playing line one with Aho,
- 32:50he's on P1. Like I feel like he is quote UN
- 32:54quote set up for a good year. Like he could get three shots a
- 32:57game, you know, 7075 points and get like over 20 power play
- 33:03points. Like that is definitely in the
- 33:05range of outcomes, right? But I feel like he's getting
- 33:08priced in closer to that ceiling where we think that the floor is
- 33:11definitely lower than what it could be.
- 33:13But I think my main question is, does Rod hates fetch more than
- 33:16he hates Ellers? And because so then that means
- 33:21he's probably safe to be. So stay on this power play if.
- 33:23Such is not worried about getting bumped off.
- 33:26I'm not worried about him getting bumped off.
- 33:27I do think it is a worry cuz doing crazy stuff so it's
- 33:32definitely possible. Which already sucks but that's
- 33:34not even why I put him as my ice.
- 33:35I assume he's planning power play on the whole season.
- 33:37I just think it's a lot worse power play one to be on than
- 33:39Winnipegs from last year. Would you rather Nick Euler's or
- 33:43Timo Meyer? I would take Timo and that's
- 33:46fully knowing that team is not sniffing powerfully one unless
- 33:48someone gets injured. Either with the break up.
- 33:52To bring it. Same.
- 33:56I was gonna say. Yeah, one last one.
- 33:59Move on to my. Years or Nugent Hopkins nudge.
- 34:03Wow so nude is not like a big shots guy or anything.
- 34:07Nude is just a power play merchant at this point in his
- 34:09career. Yeah, what a power play
- 34:11merchant. What a power play to be on.
- 34:14There's over Nudge. OK, nice.
- 34:17I think that's. Really shots and you can get the
- 34:19same amount of points, just Nuggets 5 or 10 more power play
- 34:22points. Yep, OK, My next pick is of the
- 34:31Detroit Red Wings Moritz Cider. Brother of Dixon, yeah.
- 34:37That joke is never going to get old, isn't it?
- 34:40I laugh every time. This is a clear fire.
- 34:47I'm so high on this guy and I believe everyone else is too.
- 34:50Yeah, I don't think anybody lawn mower inside of this year
- 34:52especially, I mean specifically in bangers leagues obviously.
- 34:55Yeah. Dixon's brother is gonna have an
- 34:59insane year. I think he's such an amazing
- 35:02pick. Even if you reach on him,
- 35:05there's just such a nice floor with those banger categories.
- 35:08And I actually think Detroit's gonna have a decent offence this
- 35:11year. So I'm super high on him and
- 35:14essentially the like with all that, him being a staple on the
- 35:19power play and the fact that I think they're gonna concede a
- 35:21lot of goals. It's just it doesn't necessarily
- 35:25bode well for him in a plus minus league.
- 35:27But he'll get a lot of block shots, a lot of hits, a lot of
- 35:30shots, just like he always does. And the offence is just going to
- 35:32have an uptick from last year. Yeah, he another thing he has
- 35:38not missed a single game in his entire career.
- 35:42That's unreal. You just jinxed them.
- 35:44Oh God. Listen, with the way German
- 35:47engineering is just, I don't think jinxing really matters.
- 35:52He's played four full full seasons and he hasn't cracked.
- 35:58I mean, he's gone to 51 time and that was in his rookie career.
- 36:01He's never cracked ten goals. These are all things that I
- 36:04would expect a, you know, 24 year old defenseman to be able
- 36:08to just take to the next level. And yeah, he's the 15th
- 36:12defenseman off the board and Bangers League this year.
- 36:14I think he's gonna end up ranked top ten.
- 36:16There's guys like Yoshi, Theodore, Fox and Chicken all
- 36:19going ahead of him and I would take cider over them.
- 36:22Yeah, I think it definitely depends on your league settings
- 36:25because if you're in, if you're not in a league that is like
- 36:28very rewarding of Bangor categories, he's definitely
- 36:30going a little later. He's outside of the top 10
- 36:32defensemen in Bangors leagues. He's going to be like the 4th
- 36:36through 6th defenseman drafted depending on personal preference
- 36:39and and where you are in your drafts.
- 36:41I think he is set up to have his best season yet, which is scary
- 36:46because we've already seen him be, you know, super elite when
- 36:49it comes to hits blocks. His shots have obviously not
- 36:52been like spectacular, but you don't need them to be when he's
- 36:54hitting and blocking so much. And he's going to be the power
- 36:57play 1 defenseman for the entirety of the season barring
- 37:00like, you know, the wheels completely falling off or
- 37:02somebody getting somebody being extremely good.
- 37:06That's a surprise to us with which would be surprised to me
- 37:09was given this decor. So I think cider is set up to
- 37:12have a huge floor this season and he could have his best
- 37:15points season yet on a Detroit team that I feel like this is a
- 37:19make or break year for them. Like either they they they are
- 37:22out of the rebuild cycle and kind of in limbo or they're a
- 37:26competitor or they blow it up. Like it just feels like Eiserman
- 37:29his his career depends on how well they do this season.
- 37:32And I think Cider will be a tremendous, tremendous player,
- 37:35fantasy team. I the fact that he's your fire
- 37:39pick though, I'm like how high would you be willing to take
- 37:41him? Hi.
- 37:43Add him to his around 3 year. Yes, getting 5 round, 3 picks
- 37:47and that's it. Hi.
- 37:49High like I have a a fun little nifty plan.
- 37:52For you taking him in the seconds.
- 37:54Oh my God, no, no. Good.
- 37:58No, I think that's too high. I'm just trying to get you to
- 38:01think of a second. You know what it is?
- 38:04I find that more Cider is the defenseman version of Vinnie
- 38:09Trojak, where I'm like, always mad to play against him.
- 38:14Always. I'm just like.
- 38:18In the second round, though, Shakey's first four rounds is
- 38:20gonna go like dry Sydal into natures into Trocheck into
- 38:24cider. Honestly would that be so bad
- 38:28though? I like it.
- 38:29That's fun. That's.
- 38:31Fun. It's also just that like these
- 38:33are guys that you're technically reaching on, but they end up
- 38:37ranked super high in our league settings, which is a banger
- 38:39league, no plus minus and that's it.
- 38:41It's just exhausting to play against them.
- 38:45It's just, you know, that there are certain categories that
- 38:47you're gonna lose, which sucks to have to be at that handicap
- 38:52going into a week. And every time Cider is on the
- 38:56opposing team, I could be ranked responds ahead of the the
- 38:59opponent, they're still gonna beat me because they have him.
- 39:02It's just I guess he's he's kind of like my Mark Stone, my Roman
- 39:06Empire, if you will. Yeah.
- 39:09So yeah. I'll bring more into this.
- 39:13I love this pic. I I always want most cider.
- 39:16Yeah. Yeah, money most side.
- 39:20Yeah, exactly. He's just, it's like you said,
- 39:22his floor is so high and he hasn't even begun to peak yet.
- 39:27He's only got up to go in the points department and the shots
- 39:30department. He's not going to go lower than
- 39:32he was doing before, and he was still ranked so high despite not
- 39:35hitting ten goals. No, I love it's a great pick.
- 39:38I have a couple questions for you guys though.
- 39:41I could take dry saddle, that's all, and cider and basically
- 39:45just have every German player on my team.
- 39:47Oh my God, you'd have to change your team name.
- 39:51Yeah, like das Auto or something, Yeah.
- 39:54That would be a good one actually.
- 39:57Yeah, what are your? What are?
- 39:58What you got? For your yours.
- 40:00Might you rather if he plays 82 games, what's a realistic points
- 40:04outcome that you would expect from him?
- 40:0755 to 60 and I'm very happy with.
- 40:10That if he gets 60, I think he's a tremendous pick.
- 40:13Like I think if you draft him, you could even drop him in the
- 40:16second round at that at that price.
- 40:17Everything is getting 60 points, yeah.
- 40:21I don't think that's unreasonable.
- 40:22I think he's definitely taking a step up.
- 40:25He's going to beat his career high and I don't think that's
- 40:28crazy to say. Yeah, I'm there.
- 40:31I think it's closer to 55 than he used to 60.
- 40:34But listen, we're we're plucking.
- 40:35Feathers, hairs there. Yeah, yeah.
- 40:37Is that? The same thing.
- 40:39Those plucking feathers mean anything.
- 40:41No. Honestly, it does not.
- 40:44Don't know what you were gonna say, but.
- 40:46I think you were trying to say splitting hairs.
- 40:49Splitting feathers. There we go because of this.
- 40:53What? My my next question is, would
- 41:00you rather? Have such a long pause.
- 41:03More Insider or Evan Bouchard? That's a good one and I was just
- 41:07about to ask it. I OK ignoring the fact that I'm
- 41:11taking dryside around 1:00 and even with that it makes it
- 41:15spicy. But I I I think because I have
- 41:18like the the inkling to take Bouchard if I take dry saddle
- 41:23and I'm still thinking neck and neck.
- 41:24If I'm thinking objectively, I'd rather have slider.
- 41:27I think you gotta take Bouchard oversight or I think the points
- 41:29difference is just gonna be huge and the shots difference is huge
- 41:32too. If it if it was like, let's say
- 41:34Fox was ranked way higher because people were higher on
- 41:37him and let's say his point sealing was similar to a
- 41:39Bouchard, but he just doesn't have any back cats, then I'd be
- 41:42like, yeah, Cider. But Bouchard shoots like could
- 41:44get almost four shots a game. So it's hard to give up the
- 41:48points and also one of the three back cats that we're talking
- 41:51about. So I think I think you go
- 41:52Bouchard, but it's not crazy either.
- 41:54I think there there should be taken within 5 to 10 pics of
- 41:57each other. I I think I think cider has
- 42:01Bouchard has to everything needs to go right for him to be better
- 42:05than side where I think less things have to go right for
- 42:07cider to be better if that makes sense.
- 42:10Like Boucher will start ahead but like if one thing goes wrong
- 42:13you can easily fall behind. Whereas cider has like a lot of
- 42:16outs I feel like. It's just the floor of the
- 42:19unreal back. Cats make cider the safer pick.
- 42:22It's funny cuz ciders like both the safer pick but also the
- 42:25higher upside pick because if he can figure out the points then
- 42:28he's just a A. Multicast 60 points and Butcher
- 42:31gets 70. Like, no, Bouchard's easily
- 42:33getting point per game. That's not a question to me.
- 42:37I think Bouchard's gonna get, let's say, 90 points and we put
- 42:40cider. I don't think that's
- 42:42unreasonable for Bouchard. If we're all predicting of the
- 42:44results back then. I think it's crazy to think
- 42:47Bouchard is getting less than 35 with 3.5 plus shots per game.
- 42:533.5 to four shots a game. That's why I feel like you gotta
- 42:56go chart over Cider. I'm in the same boat.
- 42:59I just wanted to see, I think it's definitely like we're
- 43:01mixing archetypes here as well. So it's like cross positions and
- 43:04cross value. Like, how do we really feel
- 43:06about these players completely on the board?
- 43:09I think one important thing to touch on before we go to the
- 43:11last pick is I'm team Cider over weaker at this point.
- 43:14Seeing how good Perec has been in preseason, I feel like, you
- 43:18know, my worries about weaker losing PB one are significantly
- 43:22higher now. And if he's not on the P1, he's
- 43:24still a good value, but I'm not drafting him in a third or
- 43:26fourth round. Yeah, I was gonna ask exactly
- 43:30the same archetype. It's close.
- 43:32It's definitely cider over weaker because cider has no
- 43:35competition. Weaker is better at the back
- 43:37cats than slider is, yeah, but again, you're splitting feathers
- 43:40there. Yeah.
- 43:42Well said. Well said.
- 43:44Yeah, alright, let's move on to Kevin's last pick.
- 43:47All right, my last pick will be a surprise to no one if you've
- 43:51been listening, but it is Jason Robertson of the Dallas Stars.
- 43:59There. Yeah.
- 44:02Is there something lower than ice?
- 44:04This is the vendetta we were he was talking.
- 44:06About we're just like, like Josh and I are just, you know, kind
- 44:11of peaceful with our yeah, you know what?
- 44:14We don't really like that. Cause I was like I hate this
- 44:16guy. OK.
- 44:18I do to you, Kevin. Don't hate Jason Robertson, but
- 44:23I definitely think he is slightly overhyped.
- 44:26I also there's a reason why he's still unsigned long term from
- 44:29the Dallas Stars. I think we saw him hit over 100
- 44:33points a few years ago and us all expect that that to be kind
- 44:35of the norm. But it's really more of a point
- 44:37per game player, which that's a significant difference from over
- 44:40100 points, right? People, I think are still hoping
- 44:42for that. 100 points seem to be in his bag, and I think that's
- 44:46why he's still so high in a lot of draft rankings.
- 44:49But he's not an elite shooter, he's not an elite points getter,
- 44:53and he's not elite on the power play either.
- 44:55So why is he like, you know, the prototypical third round pick in
- 44:59a lot of drafts? I just don't see it.
- 45:01I think he's my ice pick because I see him being below a point
- 45:05per game player. He's gonna hover around 808082.
- 45:07If he plays a full season he'll get you 2.5 shots.
- 45:10The power play, he'll get you .25 point 3 at the Max, but
- 45:16there's just so many players that I'd rather have, especially
- 45:19on Dallas where there's so many mouths to feed and so many
- 45:21quality players. I would not be surprised if he
- 45:24ends up getting bumped off for whatever reason.
- 45:26There's guys that are behind him that are ready to take a spot if
- 45:28things don't go well. Now I will say last season there
- 45:32was the off season injury and stuff like that that you know
- 45:35hinders him going into the season.
- 45:36When you missed preseason or training camp, it really does
- 45:39affect your performance at the start of the year and he was a
- 45:43bite candidate for a large portion of last year.
- 45:45Let's not forget he was one of the biggest fantasy busts to
- 45:48start the season and then he he made-up for it in the averages
- 45:51with what he did in the second-half.
- 45:53But I think his, you know, consistent season production is
- 45:56going to be somewhere in the middle.
- 45:58And I just don't see that being somebody that has a super high
- 46:00ceiling. I feel you're drafting him at
- 46:02his ceiling and there's only room to go down.
- 46:06That's how I feel about Jason Robertson.
- 46:09Wow, the vendetta is real. He hates this guy, OK, Yeah, he
- 46:14said. He doesn't.
- 46:15Yeah, so we'll, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that
- 46:17one. But no, honestly, I, I fully get
- 46:21where you're coming from with all this.
- 46:22I think if you're taking him third round, I agree that's,
- 46:25that's too high. It's just the surrounding people
- 46:28available in that round are so much more secure in what they're
- 46:31getting that it kind of like Robertson ceiling is what you're
- 46:35sure another third rounder is going to get.
- 46:36So I fully agree with that. I will say though, that it's
- 46:39possible he gets underrated in some leagues because of how bad
- 46:41he was last year. I definitely.
- 46:43Falls too. Far, I don't think he's not
- 46:44gonna be as bad as last year. I think he's gonna bounce back.
- 46:47I think he's gonna be a great bounce back candidate.
- 46:48I don't think he's gonna be 100 point guy like you said.
- 46:50I think that that was definitely, definitely a bit of
- 46:53flash in the pan. But but yeah, so pretty much if
- 46:56you take him at ADP, I agree he's nice.
- 46:58If he drops around or two, then I think he could be a steal of
- 47:00the draft. So it's all about where you take
- 47:03him. Yeah, I mean 80 game, 80 points
- 47:06in 82 games the past two seasons, right?
- 47:08It's a big fall off from the 109 and almost like, you know, 30
- 47:11points as massive now with Rantanen being there.
- 47:16This team should score the most goals this year.
- 47:20Most schools is usually a great thing for fantasy, except for
- 47:25when you're this loaded up at offence that if you score four
- 47:29goals a game, you're lucky if like with this, how many is
- 47:35going to get. He's not going to get 1 1/2
- 47:37points per game. That's probably too much for
- 47:39him. Even if he points per game, I
- 47:41don't think anybody wait like three guys.
- 47:44That's what I'm saying, like it's way too much for him, so
- 47:47maybe he'll get one. I agree that he's ice where he's
- 47:52going. If he falls it's cool.
- 47:55But I mean, I'm higher on Nagis. I have, I have the basic Yahoo
- 48:01ADP in front of my eyes right now and I'm scrolling down.
- 48:05I'm looking at names that are like 20 spots later that I'd
- 48:07rather have Stop, stop me when you when you'd rather Jason
- 48:12Robertson over the name. I'm about to say, OK, I'm going
- 48:151 by 1. The players behind them in ADP?
- 48:18Mad Baldy Tage Thompson? Yes, for Brat, you'd rather
- 48:24Robertson over Tage Thompson. Sorry.
- 48:27I mean, I'd rather Thomson over Robinson.
- 48:28Sorry. Yeah.
- 48:29This is crazy. Yeah, I missed the assignment.
- 48:32Keep going. Keep going.
- 48:33Yes, for Rat Clean Keller, Ovechkin, Stutzel, Celebrity
- 48:40natures. I'm not even doing the cross
- 48:42position and stuff. I'm not going defenseman or or
- 48:44or the pure sees right now. Natus is there.
- 48:48Tempe, Bidard Eagle No. Yeah, honestly.
- 48:58Let me go to the next page. Yeah, no, you're proving your
- 49:00point really well. I mean, that's what we said,
- 49:02right? It's for, for the guys going
- 49:04around him. I I wouldn't take him there.
- 49:07He's definitely a nice for for where his ADP is.
- 49:09So that, yeah, the names that I was saying like you're getting
- 49:1230 pics later in ADP pretty much.
- 49:15That's why I feel like he's getting priced in so high for
- 49:18what he's done in the past that people are projecting for it to
- 49:21happen. Either you let someone else pick
- 49:23him too early in the draft or he drops around like 2 rounds and
- 49:25then you grab him and you're happy with where you got him.
- 49:29There might be more payouts for me, but yeah.
- 49:32Basically, would you rather Demidov or Robertson, Robert?
- 49:35Robertson. Now we're looking pretty far
- 49:38down. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:40They're working or. Robert Feathers to pluck Larkin.
- 49:43Yeah, OK, Jordan Kairu, now we're going.
- 49:47No, I take Robertson. Over.
- 49:48OK, Batherson. Not a Robertson over Batherson.
- 49:53OK to bring kit. Yeah, still Robertson.
- 49:57Yeah, that's, that's the kind of range we're going and that's
- 49:59like 72 and I started to pick 30 some 30.
- 50:01Four and there's no way he's falling in there cuz not
- 50:03everyone listens to anger management.
- 50:06I was checking out they should. Yeah, I would rather have White
- 50:09Johnson. I don't know if that's a hot
- 50:10take. No, no, that's I'd rather have.
- 50:12Johnston. Me too, me too.
