- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven o R.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hey got a lot to talk about today. We always
- 0:11Speaker 2: give you the best daily briefing anywhere. Get you caught
- 0:15Speaker 2: up on everything, give you the inside story on everything. Well,
- 0:18Speaker 2: we'll get to who's getting sued from the Grammy Awards
- 0:21Speaker 2: last night. We'll get to the Epstein files. We'll get
- 0:23Speaker 2: to Don Lemon, We'll get to Mom Donnie, We'll get
- 0:26Speaker 2: to Andrew Cuomo and a whole lot more coming up.
- 0:31Speaker 2: So where do we even start? Groundhog Day? Punks at
- 0:36Speaker 2: Tony Phil came out and said, six more weeks of winter. Now,
- 0:41Speaker 2: let me make you feel better, punks Atoni. Phil is
- 0:44Speaker 2: always wrong. It's the stupidest phenomenon in America, the dumbest
- 0:49Speaker 2: day of the year. Paying attention to this little rodent
- 0:53Speaker 2: his batting average. He's been right thirty five percent of
- 0:57Speaker 2: the time. Thirty five percent of the time, which means
- 1:00Speaker 2: sixty five percent of the time he's wrong, So don't
- 1:03Speaker 2: take him seriously. The good news is there's only seven
- 1:06Speaker 2: weeks left until spring begins. Seven weeks. In fact, next week,
- 1:11Speaker 2: spring training starts pitchers and catchers and all of that.
- 1:14Speaker 2: So you just got seven more weeks of this. It's
- 1:16Speaker 2: going to be a little warmer this week, but still freezing.
- 1:20Speaker 2: If you haven't been into Manhattan, it looks good. The
- 1:22Speaker 2: sidewalks are pretty clear, but there is garbage piled up everywhere,
- 1:27Speaker 2: massive piles of garbage on the street. They haven't been
- 1:30Speaker 2: collecting it for I don't know, all kinds of reasons,
- 1:33Speaker 2: something to do with the snow. Good news is I
- 1:36Speaker 2: guess if it's absolutely frozen, the garbage won't smell, won't
- 1:40Speaker 2: cause any problems. So hey, the Milania documentary, by the way,
- 1:46Speaker 2: was released. The Milania documentary was released on Friday, and
- 1:49Speaker 2: you read all the left wing writers telling you how
- 1:52Speaker 2: it is a complete bomb. It wasn't going to do well.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Pre ticket sales that everything was awful. Well, it turned
- 1:58Speaker 2: out to be a record setting weekend for a documentary,
- 2:03Speaker 2: about eight million the first weekend, which is huge. No
- 2:07Speaker 2: documentary in the last decade or two has done that well.
- 2:11Speaker 2: So it was a huge, huge hit. It's open, it's
- 2:14Speaker 2: in theaters, go see it if you want. Don Lemon
- 2:18Speaker 2: arrested for invading and terrorizing and going into that church
- 2:24Speaker 2: and stopping and disrupting the service in there. It's not
- 2:27Speaker 2: just Don Lemon, by the way, They've arrested a number
- 2:29Speaker 2: of people in that mob. In fact, just moments ago
- 2:32Speaker 2: another two or three were arrested. And it's against the law.
- 2:37Speaker 2: You cannot go into a church and try to disrupt
- 2:40Speaker 2: the service. There's specific laws about that. You cannot go
- 2:44Speaker 2: into a church and try to intimidate the people worshiping
- 2:48Speaker 2: the service, or you cannot do anything to disrupt it.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The law actually came about because the klu Klux Klan.
- 2:55Speaker 2: That was something they did, going into black churches and
- 2:58Speaker 2: stopping the service and intimidate everybody in there. It's a
- 3:01Speaker 2: specific crime. You can go to jail for it. Don
- 3:04Speaker 2: Lemon has been arrested for it. Many people have been
- 3:07Speaker 2: arrested for it if you read the indictment. Because the
- 3:11Speaker 2: argument from Lemon will be I'm a journalist, I was
- 3:14Speaker 2: covering it. I'm just a journalist. Wow. There's a couple
- 3:16Speaker 2: of arguments there. One is he actually a journalist. I
- 3:20Speaker 2: don't know. I you even consider him a journalist. As
- 3:22Speaker 2: Charlie Gasperino points out, this guy has never ever, ever,
- 3:27Speaker 2: ever come out with any kind of story. He In fact,
- 3:32Speaker 2: the record shows he was a horror. If he was
- 3:34Speaker 2: a journalist, he was a horrible journalist, never broke a
- 3:36Speaker 2: news story in his life. He was basically a talk
- 3:39Speaker 2: show host on CNN, an anchor. I don't know if
- 3:42Speaker 2: you call him a journalist. He was a disaster at CNN,
- 3:47Speaker 2: so much so that they fired him. I don't know
- 3:49Speaker 2: if you call that a journalist. But the other thing
- 3:50Speaker 2: is you can't. It's one thing if you go in
- 3:52Speaker 2: there with your microphone and camera covering it, if you
- 3:55Speaker 2: do anything to stop the service or intimidate anybody in there,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you're a criminal. So in the court filing, it says
- 4:02Speaker 2: at one point, defendant Lemon posted himself at the main
- 4:05Speaker 2: door of the church, confronted congregants and physically obstructed them
- 4:11Speaker 2: as they tried to exit the church building to challenge
- 4:14Speaker 2: them with facts about US immigration policy. The pastor repeatedly
- 4:19Speaker 2: asked Lemon to leave the church. So that's where the
- 4:21Speaker 2: crime will be. Now, Remember it wasn't Donald Trump's decision
- 4:26Speaker 2: to indict him. It wasn't anybody in the Justice Department.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I mean, they certainly wanted to, but the first judge
- 4:32Speaker 2: tossed it out, so they sent it to a grand jury.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It was the grand jury that made the decision. They
- 4:39Speaker 2: voted after looking at the evidence. They voted to indict
- 4:42Speaker 2: Don Lemon. Now, if you go to my Twitter, you'll
- 4:45Speaker 2: see some video from a couple of years ago. It's
- 4:48Speaker 2: two left wing, really biased left wing types. It was
- 4:51Speaker 2: Elizabeth Warren and Gail King, and they're saying, you have
- 4:56Speaker 2: to respect the process. If a grand jury votes to indict,
- 4:59Speaker 2: you must respect that process. They were talking about Trump
- 5:03Speaker 2: at the time, but that video is going to backfire
- 5:06Speaker 2: on them. So now, hey, the other question some people
- 5:09Speaker 2: are wondering, well, why were they going to this church.
- 5:13Speaker 2: The church doesn't set immigration policy. What does the church
- 5:16Speaker 2: have to do with it? Well, the reason they went
- 5:18Speaker 2: into that church the pastor of the church, David Easterwood,
- 5:24Speaker 2: also serves as acting director for ICE in the Saint
- 5:28Speaker 2: Paul Field office. You know it's Minneapolis, Saint Paul. So
- 5:31Speaker 2: the acting director of the ICE office in Saint Paul
- 5:35Speaker 2: is also the pastor of the church. That's why they
- 5:37Speaker 2: targeted him. That's the reason that ICE officers wear masks.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Once you identify these people, the mob will go terrorize
- 5:46Speaker 2: their family, their children, at their house. They'll chase them
- 5:49Speaker 2: down everywhere. So Hey, by the way, Don Lemon will
- 5:53Speaker 2: be on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. The only reason this might
- 5:56Speaker 2: have been a horrible backfire is even Donald Trump said it.
- 6:01Speaker 2: He may actually end up reviving the career of Don Lemon.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Don Lemon, disgraced, fired, couldn't get a job for the
- 6:09Speaker 2: last few years, totally out of work. Nobody would hire him.
- 6:12Speaker 2: This could put him back on the map. Lemon is
- 6:15Speaker 2: all over the place. He'll be on Kimmel tonight. Here's Lemon.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Yesterday, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents to
- 6:21Speaker 3: arrest me in the middle of the night for something
- 6:24Speaker 3: that I'd been doing for the last thirty years, and
- 6:28Speaker 3: that is covering the news. The First Amendment of the
- 6:31Speaker 3: Constitution protects that work for me and for countless of
- 6:34Speaker 3: other journalists.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why they never bothered. Never in thirty years
- 6:38Speaker 2: did they bother you till you went in and tried
- 6:39Speaker 2: to stop that church service and stop people from coming
- 6:42Speaker 2: or going.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Last night, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents
- 6:45Speaker 3: to arrest me in the middle of the night for
- 6:48Speaker 3: something that I'd been doing for the last thirty years,
- 6:52Speaker 3: and that is covering the news.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Hey, doesn't it sound like the same clip I just played.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Why is it on here with a different lay? All right,
- 7:00Speaker 2: here's another eleven.
- 7:01Speaker 3: There is no more important time than right now, this
- 7:05Speaker 3: very moment for a free and independent media that shines
- 7:08Speaker 3: a light on the truth and holds those in power accountable.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Again, I will not stop now. I will not stop ever.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh thank God. Well talk about free and independent. There
- 7:19Speaker 2: you go. I mean, he's unpaid, he's doing it from home,
- 7:23Speaker 2: and his pajamas doesn't work for anybody. It's just a
- 7:26Speaker 2: homemade podcast, all right. I guess that's free and independent.
- 7:31Speaker 2: The Grammy Awards last night. You know, if there's one
- 7:36Speaker 2: place where d EI is not welcome, there's no DEI,
- 7:41Speaker 2: there's no diversity. It's the Grammy Awards. There's no diversity
- 7:47Speaker 2: allowed there. You must think what they think, you must
- 7:50Speaker 2: believe what they believe. You have to hate Trump or
- 7:52Speaker 2: there is no place for you in the Grammy Awards.
- 7:56Speaker 2: You must be totally woke left wing now. Trevor Noah
- 8:01Speaker 2: is the host of the Grammy Awards getting a lot
- 8:04Speaker 2: of complaints, by the way, a lot of people complaining
- 8:07Speaker 2: about this. The Grammy Awards are supposed to be about
- 8:09Speaker 2: music and fun, and entertainment. They're not supposed to be political.
- 8:14Speaker 2: This guy turns it into Morning Joe. It's like just
- 8:18Speaker 2: bad politics. Here's Trevor Noah.
- 8:21Speaker 4: That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as
- 8:26Speaker 4: much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense. I mean,
- 8:29Speaker 4: because Epstein's Island is gone. He needs a new one
- 8:31Speaker 4: to hang out with Bill Clinton. So oh, I told
- 8:34Speaker 4: you it's my last year. What are you gonna do
- 8:37Speaker 4: about it?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Ah? He jokes about Trump going to Epstein Island. Well
- 8:41Speaker 2: that got a huge laugh. However, Donald Trump has just
- 8:47Speaker 2: announced he will sue Trevor Noah. His attorneys are about
- 8:51Speaker 2: to go after Trevor Noah. He's going to have a
- 8:53Speaker 2: hell of a loss with Trump has never been anywhere
- 8:55Speaker 2: near Epstein Island, never had anything to do with Epstein
- 8:59Speaker 2: after his very early days, no connection Epstein Island. Trevor
- 9:04Speaker 2: Noah is going to have a very tough time defending
- 9:08Speaker 2: that lawsuit. So that's gonna he's gonna have a real
- 9:11Speaker 2: problem with that. And then of course he went after
- 9:13Speaker 2: Nicki Minaj, a big, big Trump supporter, declared herself a
- 9:17Speaker 2: huge Trump supporter. So of course the Grammys, where diversity
- 9:20Speaker 2: is not allowed. There's no dei, no diversity. He goes after,
- 9:25Speaker 2: goes after her.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Nicki Minaj is not here. She is not here, she is.
- 9:34Speaker 4: She is still at the White House with Donald Trump
- 9:37Speaker 4: discussing very important issues.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Actually, Nikki, I have the biggest I haven't. Everybody's saying it, Nikki,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I know they say to you, but it's me.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you go. It's a Trevor Noah or is he'll
- 9:49Speaker 2: be known in the next few months the defendant Trevor
- 9:52Speaker 2: Noah about to get sued by Donald Trump. This will
- 9:56Speaker 2: be a very interesting, interesting lawsuit. So, speaking of Epstein,
- 10:02Speaker 2: three three million pages released, three million pages. You know
- 10:08Speaker 2: it took to go through. They got to read all
- 10:09Speaker 2: three million pages, check them, remove things. Who's the big
- 10:13Speaker 2: loser out of this, Prince Andrew because it really looks
- 10:17Speaker 2: bad for him. There's all kinds of pictures of him
- 10:20Speaker 2: on his hands and knees over a woman doing all
- 10:24Speaker 2: kinds of creepy, weird things with this young woman, very
- 10:27Speaker 2: very very bad these pictures. Now, the problem is the
- 10:31Speaker 2: first thing they do with the New York Times or anywhere,
- 10:34Speaker 2: when it's how you cat you read three million pages? Well,
- 10:36Speaker 2: there's software that can read it for you and you
- 10:39Speaker 2: can type in keywords. So at the New York Times,
- 10:42Speaker 2: all the media, Chris. First thing he typed was Trump.
- 10:44Speaker 2: There out came three thousand mentions of Trump. Three thousand,
- 10:50Speaker 2: nothing significant, nothing. Now. Somewhere in this thing is a
- 10:53Speaker 2: bunch of witness testimony. One witness yelling about Trump committed
- 10:58Speaker 2: to force her to commit a oral sex since she's
- 11:00Speaker 2: under age. Investigators never believed this testimony. There's tons and
- 11:04Speaker 2: tons and tons of witness testimony in this process. It
- 11:08Speaker 2: was tossed out. It was just not credible, not believable.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Remember the one she went after, Alan Dershwitz said he
- 11:14Speaker 2: was part of this was a Goufray, Jewfray, whatever her
- 11:16Speaker 2: name was. And there were pretty serious allegations. But it
- 11:21Speaker 2: turned out she was lying. They proved she was lying.
- 11:23Speaker 2: She finally confessed that she was lying. So a lot
- 11:25Speaker 2: of that witness testimony is worthless. But who got hurt
- 11:28Speaker 2: by the release this weekend a guy named Casey Wasserman.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Lou Washerman was the most powerful man in Hollywood. Lou
- 11:36Speaker 2: Wasserman ran Hollywood for forty fifty years. This is his grandson,
- 11:41Speaker 2: Casey Wasserman, who's a big deal in La, big producer.
- 11:44Speaker 2: He was the head of the Olympics in La. Turns
- 11:48Speaker 2: out he was writing all these emails back and forth
- 11:51Speaker 2: with Gallaine Maxwell about various women. He was married at
- 11:55Speaker 2: the time. But apparently that's one thing about Epstein. It
- 11:58Speaker 2: wasn't young girls, it was any kind of women. He'd
- 12:01Speaker 2: fix up with women left and right, so with Glaine.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So this Casey Wassman was involved in that. The wife
- 12:07Speaker 2: eventually left him. Giants co owner Steve Tish going back
- 12:13Speaker 2: and forth with Epstein and the emails he was and
- 12:16Speaker 2: he's pointed out he never actually took Epstein up on anything,
- 12:19Speaker 2: never actually went and did anything, but he was just
- 12:22Speaker 2: emailing him back and forth about women. If he went
- 12:24Speaker 2: to an Epstein party, there were lots of women around.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not talking about underage girls. They were
- 12:31Speaker 2: lurking around there, but it was mostly just good looking
- 12:33Speaker 2: women all over the place. So Giants co owner Steve
- 12:36Speaker 2: Tish would email back and forth with Epstein about some
- 12:40Speaker 2: of the women. He would get what they called scouting reports.
- 12:44Speaker 2: There's one where he asks is about the woman, is
- 12:47Speaker 2: she a pro or a civilian? Is she a working girl?
- 12:50Speaker 2: That kind of stuff. Elon Musk is in there, Epstein
- 12:54Speaker 2: emailing back and forth with him about visiting the island.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Now Elon Musk, I think is okay.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Here.
- 13:02Speaker 2: He was down there somewhere in the bomb somewhere near
- 13:05Speaker 2: the island, and Epstein kept inviting him to come over,
- 13:09Speaker 2: and then at one point he emailed, what night will
- 13:12Speaker 2: be the wildest party? But I don't think he meant
- 13:14Speaker 2: anything by it, because he he mentioned coming with his girlfriend.
- 13:17Speaker 2: So that sounds pretty honest and it Musk says he
- 13:20Speaker 2: never actually went. Bill Gates. Well, there's emails in there
- 13:25Speaker 2: alleging that Bill Gates was at Epstein's house for many, many, many,
- 13:30Speaker 2: many many many hours into the night, and obviously lots
- 13:33Speaker 2: of women there, not underagent, lots of women. But there's
- 13:37Speaker 2: emails saying he needed help getting some drugs to get
- 13:40Speaker 2: rid of courting. These emails a STD a sexually transmitted
- 13:46Speaker 2: disease he got from a Russian girl. There, you see
- 13:51Speaker 2: this Gates is not good with viruses. That's one thing
- 13:54Speaker 2: about Windows, It's got viruses. Apple, you never have to
- 13:57Speaker 2: worry about a virus. Windows. You got to have anti
- 14:00Speaker 2: virus software. This guy, wherever he goes, gets a virus.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Who else, Howard Lutnick, the Commerce secretary who said he'd
- 14:08Speaker 2: cut off Epstein in two thousand and twelve. It looks
- 14:12Speaker 2: like there's emails back and forth after that, but it
- 14:16Speaker 2: doesn't look like anything with Howard Lutnon except going to
- 14:20Speaker 2: lunch or something that's about it. And I newly in
- 14:26Speaker 2: this release all of Epstein's campaign donations, and it looks
- 14:31Speaker 2: like for about thirty years he gave ninety percent of
- 14:35Speaker 2: his money to Democrats. He was a big Chuck Schumer donor,
- 14:39Speaker 2: Bill Clinton donor, Hillary Clinton donor. Oh you know else
- 14:42Speaker 2: is in there. Reid Hoffman. Reid Hoffman, the tech billionaire,
- 14:46Speaker 2: the big anti Trump guy who funds all kinds of
- 14:48Speaker 2: anti Trump stuff. Hay's in there, all tangled up with
- 14:51Speaker 2: the stuff. And Michael Wolf. You know this little wormy guy.
- 14:56Speaker 2: He's a worm with the big glasses on. Weirdo, wormy
- 15:01Speaker 2: little guy, big Trump hater. He writes these books all
- 15:04Speaker 2: about terrible things about Trump. None of them are true.
- 15:07Speaker 2: They're the most ridiculous books. Nobody believes them except the
- 15:11Speaker 2: Left will use him. They'll put him on Meet the Press,
- 15:14Speaker 2: this little gossipy tabloid idiots on Meet the Press. George
- 15:18Speaker 2: Stephanopolis and I'll let him spew all of his nonsense.
- 15:21Speaker 2: If you go Instagram watch his videos every day. There's
- 15:24Speaker 2: a video of him in his house telling you incredible
- 15:27Speaker 2: stories about the horrifying, evil things that Trump does. None
- 15:30Speaker 2: of them are true, but they're very funny videos to watch.
- 15:34Speaker 2: So apparently he was very close to Epstein, really close
- 15:39Speaker 2: to Epstein and plotting with Epstein on how to get
- 15:43Speaker 2: Trump impeached, how to destroy Trump's reputation. Wolf and Epstein.
- 15:48Speaker 2: It's in writing in these emails. Now Trump has announced
- 15:51Speaker 2: he will sue Michael Wolf, so watch for that. That
- 15:55Speaker 2: could be a big, big lawsuit.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Wolf was a third grade writer, was goodspirer with Jeffrey
- 16:00Speaker 6: Epstein to hurt me politically or otherwise. And that came
- 16:06Speaker 6: through loud and clear. So we'll probably sue Wolf.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, now that could be interesting loss. But again that's
- 16:11Speaker 2: the problem to Don Lemon. So you're gonna make Don
- 16:13Speaker 2: Lemon back into a successful celebrity again. Okay, Well that's
- 16:18Speaker 2: the price you pay, and it could make Wolf even bigger.
- 16:21Speaker 2: But it's worth doing. You got you gotta do the
- 16:23Speaker 2: right thing. Hey, Well, take some calls in a minute.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one. The zero seven ten
- 16:29Speaker 2: is the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:33Speaker 2: It isstant access.
- 16:34Speaker 1: To Mark by setting a pre set in the iHeartRadio
- 16:37Speaker 1: app for his live show and his podcast. Now back
- 16:40Speaker 1: to the Mark Simone Show on wr.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 16:52Speaker 2: how you.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Doing, Morney?
- 16:54Speaker 7: Mark from the very frigid Florida.
- 16:56Speaker 2: What's the temperature down there right now?
- 16:59Speaker 8: It's forty.
- 17:02Speaker 9: I know, so ice schools last yesterday for the first
- 17:05Speaker 9: time in eight years. It was very refreshing.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Well, it's like ten degrees here, so actually a little warming.
- 17:13Speaker 5: It was twenty nine overnight, so.
- 17:17Speaker 2: In any event, couldn't Well, what do you want to say, Mike.
- 17:22Speaker 9: So, you know, it's interesting these elitist entertainer types. You know,
- 17:27Speaker 9: we're all spouting about ice and you know, Molly Wingwald
- 17:31Speaker 9: and Donny and John Legozamo and Trevor Noah, you know,
- 17:34Speaker 9: all either has been or never worse or never quite worse.
- 17:38Speaker 9: And the other thing about Don Lemon being a journalist,
- 17:41Speaker 9: you know what makes a journalist? You can just say
- 17:43Speaker 9: you're a journalist. I mean, for having's sake, if you're
- 17:45Speaker 9: a barber, you have to jump through more hoops to
- 17:47Speaker 9: be practicing barber being a barber than than a journalist
- 17:52Speaker 9: does a journal You.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Could argue that the guy on Seeing And even if
- 17:55Speaker 2: he's just that anchor host, is a journalist. But but
- 17:58Speaker 2: Lemon is for a couple of years now been an
- 18:00Speaker 2: amateur podcaster. That's all he is, so exactly exactly. Thanks
- 18:04Speaker 2: for calling, Mike. Let's go to uh uh Ron in Pittsburgh. Ron.
- 18:08Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 18:10Speaker 10: You know?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Mark good?
- 18:12Speaker 8: Hey, I get a little safety tip for all the
- 18:16Speaker 8: listeners of your show. I wouldn't go into a hospital
- 18:18Speaker 8: when the Mega had on. How about all these nurses?
- 18:21Speaker 8: Are they nuts or one?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Do you mean?
- 18:24Speaker 8: I mean, look at the one nurse. One the one
- 18:27Speaker 8: nurse who was trying was praying that got one the
- 18:31Speaker 8: uh the the one lady that loses her baby, the
- 18:35Speaker 8: Caroline Leavitt, the one the one nurse said.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean there's some young crazy nurses. But
- 18:40Speaker 2: you gotta remember, doctors are all big Republicans. Doctors are
- 18:44Speaker 2: Trump supporters mainly because they they've seen the government screw
- 18:47Speaker 2: them around a million ways. They see what a disaster government.
- 18:51Speaker 8: Let's ask you one more question.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Well, let me think about it.
- 18:54Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, go you got the bath zone to Trump, right,
- 18:58Speaker 8: and I know I brought flat Earth before, but could
- 19:00Speaker 8: you have him take a picture from a satellite to Australias,
- 19:03Speaker 8: like to see an ocean line and roughside down.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll get right on that. I'll do it during
- 19:07Speaker 2: the news. What the hell's this guy talking about? Let's
- 19:10Speaker 2: go to Jim and Yonkers. Jim, how you doing, Good morning, Mark.
- 19:14Speaker 11: I was just wondering if you had watched an interview
- 19:17Speaker 11: that took place this weekend with the head of the
- 19:20Speaker 11: union of the Minneapolis Police Department where he came out
- 19:24Speaker 11: and stated that unequivocally ICE has not been trained for
- 19:30Speaker 11: crowd control. He said that is the responsibility of the
- 19:34Speaker 11: city that's having that issue with ICE coming into it,
- 19:39Speaker 11: and I haven't heard that from anybody else.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Well, yeah, no, that's true, and it's pretty obvious. ICE
- 19:44Speaker 2: officers are not crowd controlled people. That's why there's no
- 19:48Speaker 2: problem with ICE in any other state or city. It's
- 19:51Speaker 2: going fine, smoothly, peacefully everywhere else because the local police,
- 19:55Speaker 2: if there's demonstrators, show up and control the protests. They
- 19:57Speaker 2: control the demonstrators. That's the way it's supposed to go.
- 20:02Speaker 2: In Minneapolis, they've decided to do like a January sixth
- 20:05Speaker 2: where you make sure you don't have enough security. January
- 20:09Speaker 2: sixth they turned down the ten thousand troops weren't able
- 20:12Speaker 2: to control the protesters, and they ran through the capital.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Same thing here, make sure there's no cops. That way,
- 20:18Speaker 2: the protesters are all over the ICE agents physically confronting them,
- 20:21Speaker 2: and it leads to disaster. So, and there's this myth
- 20:24Speaker 2: they've been spreading around this talking point that's pretty false.
- 20:28Speaker 2: They only have forty seven days of training. That's not true.
- 20:30Speaker 2: There might be a couple with forty seven days of training.
- 20:33Speaker 2: But many of these ICE officers, longtime cops, longtime long resumes.
- 20:39Speaker 2: But you cannot expect them to do crowd control. That's
- 20:41Speaker 2: not what they're there for. They're there to arrest illegal, criminal,
- 20:46Speaker 2: illegal aliens. If a million protesters show up, you need
- 20:50Speaker 2: local police to do crowd control. In every other place
- 20:54Speaker 2: where ICE is, especially Texas, other places they're doing much
- 20:58Speaker 2: much bigger operations. I've only arrested three thousand illegals in Minneapolis.
- 21:03Speaker 2: In Texas, they've arrested forty five thousand, So they're much
- 21:07Speaker 2: bigger operations in other cities, but local police cooperate and
- 21:10Speaker 2: everything's peaceful and orderly all the time. Let's go to
- 21:14Speaker 2: John and Long Island.
- 21:15Speaker 5: John.
- 21:15Speaker 7: How you doing, Hey, Mark?
- 21:18Speaker 12: How you doing?
- 21:19Speaker 7: I've been wanting to call you for so many years.
- 21:22Speaker 7: I've been listening to you, I think since nineteen seventy
- 21:24Speaker 7: eight and WPIX out of New York.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you go.
- 21:27Speaker 7: I remember listening to Don Guido.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Don Guido.
- 21:32Speaker 2: He was like the Vincent of back then. Dono used
- 21:35Speaker 2: to call us every.
- 21:36Speaker 7: Shing was like the Vincent?
- 21:38Speaker 12: Do you ever?
- 21:38Speaker 8: Is he alive?
- 21:39Speaker 13: Still?
- 21:40Speaker 2: I never knew who he really was. I never knew
- 21:44Speaker 2: the actual person.
- 21:45Speaker 13: Really.
- 21:45Speaker 2: He was just a caller every day.
- 21:47Speaker 7: Yeah. He used to do that dating game with him
- 21:50Speaker 7: that it was such a used to.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Dial a date until Howard Stern borrowed it.
- 21:54Speaker 13: Yeah right, you had it before Howard Stern. I used
- 21:57Speaker 13: to run home from high school to listen to WPI.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Wow you went to high school. Pretty impressive. So I
- 22:04Speaker 2: love you.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Mark, Thanks good, great listen.
- 22:06Speaker 12: I listen to you.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Every day for fifty years.
- 22:07Speaker 2: You got a radio now, Wow, that's pretty good. There's
- 22:11Speaker 2: nobody better than you, all right, I'll have to agree
- 22:13Speaker 2: with that. Thanks, thanks, thanks for calling. Hey. When we
- 22:17Speaker 2: come back, Howie Carr will be with us. We'll talk
- 22:20Speaker 2: to him in a moment. Lots of talk to him
- 22:21Speaker 2: about coming up on seven to ten wr Mark.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Show seven ten woor.
- 22:30Speaker 10: Hey.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Howie Carr one of the great talk show hosts in America.
- 22:33Speaker 2: You should be catching his show his podcast every day.

- 22:42Speaker 2: latest book Mass Corruption on Amazon. You can get everything
- 22:46Speaker 2: at howiecarsshow dot com. Howie Carr, how you doing very good?
- 22:52Speaker 14: I saw a sign today on I ninety five on
- 22:54Speaker 14: the electronic billboards I've never seen in Florida before. I've
- 22:58Speaker 14: seen it a million times in the Northeast, but never
- 23:00Speaker 14: in Florida. It said ridges ice before roads.
- 23:07Speaker 2: The temperature pretty low in Florida, right.
- 23:11Speaker 5: Lower, Yeah, very very low.
- 23:13Speaker 14: Again, it's gonna it's only a couple of days, you know,
- 23:16Speaker 14: and then it'll start to warm up. But it's nothing
- 23:18Speaker 14: compared to what it is in the Northeast. But still
- 23:22Speaker 14: it's it's kind of a it's kind of saw that.
- 23:25Speaker 14: You saw the women yesterday at the mar A Lago wedding.
- 23:28Speaker 5: You know they'd all.
- 23:29Speaker 14: Ordered their dresses when when the South Florida was having
- 23:32Speaker 14: like a you know, a really nice run of weather,
- 23:36Speaker 14: I guess, and they there's all the strapless gowns and
- 23:40Speaker 14: they were all wearing these wraps.
- 23:42Speaker 5: They were when they really needed Parkers.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah, big wedding, big Maga Trump World wedding. Yesterday, Dan
- 23:48Speaker 2: Scavino got married at mar A Lago. And you've been
- 23:51Speaker 2: to mar A Lago many, many, many times. It's it's
- 23:54Speaker 2: the perfect place for a wedding, right, It's quite magnificent
- 23:57Speaker 2: in that ballroom.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Oh it is. It is.
- 24:00Speaker 14: They have a smaller ball room two as well that
- 24:03Speaker 14: my daughter is going to be in April. But yeah,
- 24:06Speaker 14: it's it's it's really nice. It's just you know, obviously
- 24:10Speaker 14: it's better when it's warm. But uh, this still looks
- 24:14Speaker 14: like everybody was having a good time.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so, Don Lemon, journalists are not a journalist? Then
- 24:24Speaker 2: we lost you? Did we lose him? I just wonder
- 24:28Speaker 2: I made my wait, we can't hear you? Something happened there?
- 24:31Speaker 5: Who's the next one? I've made my pole question?
- 24:36Speaker 2: You're Okay, now, yeah, now you're back.
- 24:38Speaker 14: Yeah, okay, sorry, uh no, I made my pole question
- 24:42Speaker 14: on Friday. Who's going to be the next one to
- 24:45Speaker 14: try to pull with Don Lemon and resurrect his failing career.
- 24:49Speaker 5: I'm voting for Jim.
- 24:50Speaker 14: Acosta over I think Jim Acosta is more desperate than
- 24:55Speaker 14: any of the others.
- 24:56Speaker 5: I don't think he made as much money as the others.
- 24:58Speaker 14: Did you know during his during his brief run at
- 25:02Speaker 14: the top of the Trump haters.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Don Lemon's gonna be on the with Jimmy Kimmel tonight.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Obviously you'll be all over television, will be a big
- 25:09Speaker 2: star over again. You're absolutely right, Jim Acosta all at
- 25:13Speaker 2: Megan Kelly. They're all going to raid churches or do
- 25:15Speaker 2: whatever they have to do now trying to get.
- 25:18Speaker 14: Back Chris Wallace. Is Chris Wallace tool to try to
- 25:22Speaker 14: resurrect his career?
- 25:23Speaker 5: And did oh Andrea Mitchell.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about this. Yeah, there's a whole
- 25:27Speaker 2: bunch of them that could do this. But so if
- 25:30Speaker 2: you know, like if you're a cop and they fire
- 25:33Speaker 2: you and throw you off the force a couple of
- 25:35Speaker 2: years later, are you you're not a policeman anymore. So
- 25:37Speaker 2: if you're fired from CNN, you haven't worked in four
- 25:40Speaker 2: or five years, are you a journalist just because you're
- 25:43Speaker 2: doing an amateur podcast.
- 25:45Speaker 5: It's like being a red you know. I mean there's
- 25:47Speaker 5: no there's no licensing process.
- 25:50Speaker 14: Because you're covered under freedom of religion or freedom of speech.
- 25:54Speaker 14: It's like all those those two lawyers that al Sharp
- 25:57Speaker 14: did work with on the Tawana Brawley hoax, they got
- 25:59Speaker 14: this are you know, because because because because the state
- 26:03Speaker 14: could take away their license, you can't take away the
- 26:06Speaker 14: license to be a reverend. I mean, God gag you
- 26:09Speaker 14: that license or so you can claim. So I always
- 26:12Speaker 14: thought that was a real good career move on al Sharp.
- 26:15Speaker 14: That's parted at an early age, not to you know,
- 26:18Speaker 14: to become a reverend rather than a lawyer.
- 26:22Speaker 2: So, uh, Pey, you didn't watch the Grammys last night,
- 26:25Speaker 2: did you?
- 26:25Speaker 5: It was.
- 26:27Speaker 14: Very political through the Epstein files looking for local politicians.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And did you find any Massachusetts people those Epstein files?
- 26:35Speaker 5: Oh?
- 26:35Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we found uh found a former district
- 26:40Speaker 14: attorney in Massachusetts in Boston was a quote unquote trying
- 26:44Speaker 14: to weasele in to Bob Kraft's defense after the Happy
- 26:47Speaker 14: Indeed scandal in Florida with the.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Massage, and he was a.
- 26:53Speaker 14: Apparently Craft was was getting advice and counsel from Epstein.
- 26:58Speaker 14: So like, there's there's a number of NFL owners, like
- 27:00Speaker 14: you saw Steve Tish last week, the Giants owner, you know,
- 27:05Speaker 14: going and say, you know, I'm going to get Epstein says,
- 27:07Speaker 14: I'm going to get you a date woman who's thirty
- 27:10Speaker 14: years younger than you.
- 27:11Speaker 5: And Tish responds with the perfect question, civilion or pro.
- 27:22Speaker 14: You have you noticed the New York Times, the Boston Globe,
- 27:25Speaker 14: the Washington Post, they really totally lost interest in these
- 27:28Speaker 14: Epstein files now that the beautiful people are being out
- 27:32Speaker 14: at one after another.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and now that there's clearly no Trump anything in
- 27:36Speaker 2: there that's going to be harmful to Trump.
- 27:38Speaker 14: Right, they got They go, well, we just broke the
- 27:40Speaker 14: story of the Herald. A political consultant after Epstein was
- 27:45Speaker 14: busted at twenty nineteen, said I can help you out
- 27:49Speaker 14: with your sword and stories because I got the first
- 27:52Speaker 14: lesbian elected attorney general at Massachusetts, Mara Heely.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Who's now the governor.
- 27:57Speaker 14: She's an anti Trump person, and he's all in high
- 28:00Speaker 14: dudgeon that someone would drop her name to a notorious
- 28:05Speaker 14: Democrat pervert like Epstein. It's just it's just, you know,
- 28:10Speaker 14: I mean, it's kind of sordid and gossipy and all that.
- 28:13Speaker 5: But I'm enjoying that, aren't you.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Also, his uh, all of his political donations are
- 28:17Speaker 2: in there. Turns out ninety percent went to Democrats, big
- 28:20Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer donor, big Hillary Clinton donor.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Well so was so was Trump with that.
- 28:25Speaker 14: I remember the first time I ever interviewed Trump, I
- 28:27Speaker 14: asked him about Chuck schum when he said, look, I
- 28:29Speaker 14: got to do business in New York, you know, but
- 28:31Speaker 14: you you have to rent these people.
- 28:33Speaker 5: And I think I thought that was a perfect.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Answer, except if you look at the Trump's record, it
- 28:39Speaker 2: was kind of fifty to fifty Republicans Democrats, but Epstein
- 28:42Speaker 2: was clearly a Democrat. Ninety percent, that's a high percentage
- 28:46Speaker 2: going to Democrats.
- 28:48Speaker 5: Oh yeah, And it's just it's just getting uh, it's
- 28:52Speaker 5: getting better and better with these these these documents that
- 28:55Speaker 5: are coming out.
- 28:55Speaker 14: I mean, the thing is they're they're they're they're set
- 28:58Speaker 14: up so that so that you really get to everything
- 29:01Speaker 14: and and see then they set up the tip line,
- 29:04Speaker 14: and you know, so so there's no one can say
- 29:07Speaker 14: that they're, you know, protecting Trump. They're just throwing everything
- 29:09Speaker 14: that comes into the tip line. So like they got
- 29:11Speaker 14: to now they got one, They got a tip tying
- 29:15Speaker 14: Janet Mills, the governor of Maine, to Epstein and they
- 29:18Speaker 14: and so so some woman call some woman calls it
- 29:21Speaker 14: and says, well, you're going after child abuse. She was,
- 29:24Speaker 14: she was helping people get away with child abuse when
- 29:27Speaker 14: she was a prosecutor up here in Maine. I mean,
- 29:30Speaker 14: it's like they're they're all getting dragged into this thing,
- 29:33Speaker 14: all of them. But the Democrats are really excited. They
- 29:36Speaker 14: want a state Senate seat in Texas. Actually that's the end.
- 29:39Speaker 14: That's the end of Maga world, the state senate state
- 29:42Speaker 14: in Texas.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Yeah, midterms, Uh, it's a long way away. It's a
- 29:48Speaker 2: long way away. You got to figure the economy will
- 29:50Speaker 2: be really booming by then, everything will be better by then.
- 29:53Speaker 2: You don't think they Republicans will lose the House and
- 29:56Speaker 2: the Senate to.
- 29:57Speaker 5: You, No, No, I don't.
- 29:59Speaker 14: I mean I look, you know it keeps saying, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 14: the Wall Street Journal today is bullets. Oh the immigration
- 30:06Speaker 14: crackdown is backfire. Well, all the polls I see show
- 30:10Speaker 14: that everybody is in favor of deporting illegal aliens, especially
- 30:14Speaker 14: illegal alien criminals. But like half the country, including myself,
- 30:18Speaker 14: wants to deport everybody who's here illegally. I mean, I
- 30:20Speaker 14: don't think it's I think they're just trying to you
- 30:24Speaker 14: know again, it's it's the new It's the you know,
- 30:26Speaker 14: the price of Eggs scandal, the Russian collusion hoax, the
- 30:31Speaker 14: Ukrainian It's it's the late it's.
- 30:32Speaker 5: The latest thing. You know.
- 30:34Speaker 14: We had a we had a special election in Massachusetts
- 30:37Speaker 14: a couple of years ago. The Republicans won a state
- 30:39Speaker 14: senate see in a special election for the first time
- 30:42Speaker 14: in like thirty forty years, and it didn't even make
- 30:46Speaker 14: the Springfield It made the Boston papers and the Worcester papers,
- 30:48Speaker 14: but it even made the Springfield Paper. Now the Democrats
- 30:51Speaker 14: win a similar y thing and it's like it's international.
- 30:55Speaker 5: News, you know, it's the lead story in the Guardian.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Howie Carr great stuff. You got to read
- 31:03Speaker 2: his books. He's written the best books on the Kennedys
- 31:06Speaker 2: on Whitey Bulge and the latest book, Mass Corruption. What's
- 31:10Speaker 2: the best place to get that? Amazon?
- 31:11Speaker 5: Mass Corruption?
- 31:12Speaker 14: You can go to Amazon dot com just how we
- 31:15Speaker 14: Car c a r R. It's called mass corruption. Or

- 31:23Speaker 14: good stuff at the store. And just list to my
- 31:26Speaker 14: show at two o'clock every afternoon.
- 31:28Speaker 5: It's on the iHeart app. You can get it anywhere.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you can get the podcast. You can listen anytime.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I just go to Howie Carshow dot com or the
- 31:37Speaker 2: iHeart app, or just go to Howie Carshow dot com.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Howie car great stuff. Thanks for being with us, Thanks Mark, Bye,
- 31:46Speaker 2: take care. Hey. Coming up, we'll get to President Trump's weekend.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It was an interesting weekend. A couple of things he did.
- 31:53Speaker 2: We'll get to that. Coming up, we'll get to Mom Donnie.
- 31:56Speaker 2: We'll get to the Clintons. They may have a big, big,
- 31:59Speaker 2: big legal problem this week. We'll get told of that.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Don't forget Buck and Clay, an excellent show. They'll be
- 32:04Speaker 2: here at noon three o'clock. Most listen to radio show
- 32:07Speaker 2: in America, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy Fail
- 32:11Speaker 2: a very funny, interesting show every night nine o'clock. It's
- 32:15Speaker 2: here on seven to ten wor.
- 32:18Speaker 1: This is to the Mark Simon Show.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I'm wr well, hey, things getting back to normal in Venezuela.
- 32:29Speaker 2: In fact, American Airlines plans to resume NonStop service to
- 32:33Speaker 2: Venezuela as ties between the nation's thuss So now you
- 32:37Speaker 2: can go to the airport, jump on a plane, go
- 32:39Speaker 2: to Venezuela. I don't know who would want to, but
- 32:41Speaker 2: flights are resuming. The rumor that Costco will finally raise
- 32:45Speaker 2: the price of the hot dog false, not true. It's
- 32:49Speaker 2: still going to be a dollar fifty. It's the greatest
- 32:51Speaker 2: loss leader in the world. The Costco hot dog legendary.
- 32:55Speaker 2: It's probably the best hot dog you can get. They
- 32:57Speaker 2: make these their own buns. They're phenomenal. It's always been
- 33:01Speaker 2: a dollar fifty for decades. They lose money on every
- 33:05Speaker 2: hot dog. It's just to get people in the starts.
- 33:07Speaker 2: It is the best hot dog in the world at Costco.
- 33:11Speaker 2: It was a dollar fifty like thirty years ago. If
- 33:13Speaker 2: you wed just for inflation, it should be four dollars today.
- 33:17Speaker 2: But they've figured out how to keep it at a
- 33:18Speaker 2: dollar fifty. In fact, they had. They used to buy
- 33:21Speaker 2: hot dogs, now they have to. They open their own factories.
- 33:25Speaker 2: They make their own hot dogs to keep the cost low.
- 33:27Speaker 2: A dollar fifty greatest loss leader ever. Now the idea
- 33:33Speaker 2: is you'll come in there, you're have the hot dog,
- 33:35Speaker 2: but then you'll run around and spend one hundred dollars
- 33:38Speaker 2: on stuff in Costco. Nobody's gonna go in, just have
- 33:40Speaker 2: the hot dog and leave except for me. I've done
- 33:44Speaker 2: that a million times. That's the only reason I have
- 33:46Speaker 2: had Costco card, just to do that. So, hey, we
- 33:49Speaker 2: got a lot to get to in the next hour.
- 33:51Speaker 2: The legendary Scott Shannon will be with us. In the
- 33:53Speaker 2: next hour, we'll go over the Grammy Awards, and we'll
- 33:57Speaker 2: get to the super Bowl and all of that coming up. Also,
- 34:00Speaker 2: interesting Trump weekend. We'll tell you what he did over
- 34:04Speaker 2: the weekend, a couple of things. We'll get to all
- 34:05Speaker 2: of that. Hey, don't forget, I'm here every day ten
- 34:08Speaker 2: to noon. But you can also listen to the show
- 34:10Speaker 2: anytime you want. If you can't listen ten to noon,
- 34:13Speaker 2: or you miss the show or miss an hour, you
- 34:15Speaker 2: can get the podcast and you can listen to the
- 34:17Speaker 2: show anytime, day or night. Wherever you get podcasts, you'll
- 34:21Speaker 2: find this show back after the news on seven to ten.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Woir, mister New York marks them upon seven ten wor.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll get to the Grammy Awards coming up.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Scott Shannon will be with us a little later on
- 34:37Speaker 2: this hour, and we'll get to President Trump's weekend. You know,
- 34:40Speaker 2: there's a partial government shutdown in effect right now. What
- 34:45Speaker 2: they did was they separated. They voted to fund everything
- 34:48Speaker 2: except Department of Homeland Security. Now, if you don't fund
- 34:52Speaker 2: Department of Homeland Security, well there's a lot of stuff
- 34:54Speaker 2: in there. The TSA is in that Secret Service, all
- 34:58Speaker 2: of that's in there. So the effect is all services continue,
- 35:03Speaker 2: some of the workers not getting paid. They expect to
- 35:06Speaker 2: have that settled. I don't know by Wednesday. This partial
- 35:10Speaker 2: government shutdown. Reason, you have to mention the government shutdown,
- 35:15Speaker 2: otherwise nobody would notice because nothing really really changes. The
- 35:19Speaker 2: Clintons might have a big legal problem. They are called
- 35:23Speaker 2: to testify with a subpoena. They were called to testify
- 35:26Speaker 2: in front of Congress and they didn't show up. They
- 35:29Speaker 2: refuse to answer the subpoena. That's a crime. It's criminal.
- 35:33Speaker 2: You can go to prison for it. Just ask Steve
- 35:35Speaker 2: Bannon or Peter Navarro people have been sent to jail
- 35:39Speaker 2: for that. The Clintons didn't care. They did it, and
- 35:41Speaker 2: now they've going to be held in contempt at Congress.
- 35:45Speaker 2: They are in contempt to Congress, but Congress has to
- 35:48Speaker 2: vote on whether to demand the Justice Department arrest the Clintons.
- 35:53Speaker 2: The vote will take place probably tomorrow. Here's the problem
- 35:56Speaker 2: for the Clintons. The Democrats will vote to go after
- 36:00Speaker 2: the Clintons. Most of these young Democrats do not have
- 36:03Speaker 2: any regard for Bill or Hillary Clinton. These are old
- 36:06Speaker 2: dinosaurs from another era. In fact, in the first round
- 36:10Speaker 2: of voting to hold them in contempt, about eight Democrats
- 36:13Speaker 2: voted to go after the Clintons. So they're going to
- 36:15Speaker 2: have the same problem. And Hakim Jefferys refuses to get
- 36:19Speaker 2: involved in this vote. He's supposed to be the Democratic
- 36:23Speaker 2: leader in the House. He could try to do something
- 36:26Speaker 2: to help the Clintons, but he's kind of made it
- 36:27Speaker 2: clear he's not going to do it. He thinks it's
- 36:29Speaker 2: a losing cause and he doesn't want to ruin his
- 36:32Speaker 2: reputation losing this battle. So it looks like the Clintons
- 36:35Speaker 2: will be in serious legal jeopardy unless they settle this
- 36:39Speaker 2: negotiate some kind of settlement. So Democrats privately urging the
- 36:45Speaker 2: Clintons negotiate something because we'll vote against you. Interesting the Democrats,
- 36:50Speaker 2: many of them, have no interest in helping Bill or
- 36:53Speaker 2: Hillary Clinton anymore. So watch for that to happen tomorrow.
- 36:57Speaker 2: It's got to happen by Wednesday, or the Clintons are
- 36:59Speaker 2: in big legal trouble. Now, why do you have ICE
- 37:04Speaker 2: running around chasing after this book? Because you got a
- 37:08Speaker 2: lot of illegals who are dangerous criminals who if Ice
- 37:13Speaker 2: doesn't come get him, local authorities will do nothing about him.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Here's a perfect example right here in New York City.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Here's an illegal alien who's a dangerous criminal, crack smoking,
- 37:25Speaker 2: sexual predator. He's been wanted by ICE, but he gets
- 37:29Speaker 2: picked up all the time in Manhattan on all kinds
- 37:32Speaker 2: of crimes. He was taken into a Manhattan courthouse last week.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Now listen to this. Gerardo Miguel Mora, forty five years old.
- 37:42Speaker 2: He was arrested last Thursday for shoplifting, possession of stolen property,
- 37:49Speaker 2: went in and robbed a store. Now that's Thursday, but
- 37:53Speaker 2: earlier in the month he was arrested for a possession
- 37:56Speaker 2: of crack cocaine. Before that, he was arrested for rape,
- 38:01Speaker 2: attempted rape, and strangulation. He followed a twenty one year
- 38:05Speaker 2: old woman home, choked her, tried to take a clothes off.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Police got him. He was presumably deported after that, but
- 38:14Speaker 2: suddenly showed up in the country again. He's basically a
- 38:17Speaker 2: career criminal. He's a really, really bad criminal, and Ice
- 38:21Speaker 2: has been after him. But he gets hauled into court
- 38:23Speaker 2: for the shoplifting he had robbing the store. So this
- 38:27Speaker 2: is a Manhattan courtroom. It's Judge Sheridan jack Brown, a Democrat.
- 38:33Speaker 2: She won a special election in Brooklyn last year. She
- 38:37Speaker 2: decides to let the guy go. This is typical of
- 38:39Speaker 2: New York City. Criminal caught in a crime, got a big,
- 38:43Speaker 2: long record, big rap sheet. She decides just to let
- 38:46Speaker 2: him go. The get word in the courtroom that Ice
- 38:50Speaker 2: is waiting for this guy. The judge says, take him
- 38:55Speaker 2: out the back so Ice can't. The Ice is waiting
- 38:58Speaker 2: out front to grab the guy when he comes out.
- 39:00Speaker 2: So she had them open up the back door and
- 39:03Speaker 2: let him sneak out the back to avoid Ice. This
- 39:05Speaker 2: is what you're dealing with in the middle of Manhattan.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Ice figured out that they let him go out the back.
- 39:11Speaker 2: They chased the guy down. They eventually caught him. But
- 39:14Speaker 2: that's what you're dealing with. That's why you have to
- 39:15Speaker 2: have Ice do this. Local authorities will just let these
- 39:18Speaker 2: guys go. This guy would have committed another crime in
- 39:22Speaker 2: a few weeks, be back in court, be let go again.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Ice has him, they'll remove him, take him out of
- 39:28Speaker 2: the country. That's the good news. Now. President Trump went
- 39:32Speaker 2: to Palm Beach this weekend. Normally, he leaves Friday afternoon,
- 39:37Speaker 2: He's in Palm Beach by dinnertime Friday, and he comes
- 39:40Speaker 2: back on Sunday night. This time he's only in Palm
- 39:44Speaker 2: Beach for one day, just for Sunday. It was for
- 39:46Speaker 2: a wedding. Dan Scavino, big longtime part of the Trump administration,
- 39:52Speaker 2: married at mar Lago. Everybody in the Trump administration went
- 39:55Speaker 2: down there for the wedding. But the reason the President
- 39:58Speaker 2: stayed is Saturday night, he he went to something he
- 40:01Speaker 2: never goes to. You know, they got these big events
- 40:04Speaker 2: every year in Washington, d C. There's the White House
- 40:07Speaker 2: Press Corps Dinner, you know, the Correspondence Dinner. They call
- 40:11Speaker 2: that like the nerd prom that's a big event. And
- 40:14Speaker 2: there's the Kennedy Center Honors. That's a big event. Everybody
- 40:16Speaker 2: in Washington goes that every year. Speaking of which, the
- 40:20Speaker 2: Kennedy Center is going to close for two years. President Trump,
- 40:24Speaker 2: master builder, after inspecting the Kennedy Center, said it's totally dilapidated.
- 40:30Speaker 2: It's in total disrepair. It needs to be fixed top
- 40:35Speaker 2: to bottom. I'm going to close it for two years
- 40:37Speaker 2: and fix it. But getting back to this big dinners,
- 40:40Speaker 2: there's only a handful of bit It's not like New York.
- 40:43Speaker 2: In New York there's like three major events every night. Washington,
- 40:46Speaker 2: d C. There's like four major events a year. But
- 40:48Speaker 2: the biggest of them all and it's the least known,
- 40:51Speaker 2: it's very very quiet. It's the Alfalfa Dinner. This is
- 40:55Speaker 2: actually the biggest, most prestigious night in Washington, DC every year.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Now the correspondent to dinner. It's a million people in
- 41:03Speaker 2: a ballroom. It's every idiot from it's Jim Acosta, Don
- 41:07Speaker 2: Lemon type idiots. The Alfalfa Dinner. That's the private, very
- 41:12Speaker 2: very very prestigious one. It's in the Hilton every year.
- 41:17Speaker 2: The Alfalfa Club is like the skull and bones of Washington, DC.
- 41:22Speaker 2: You can't just join it. You have to be invited
- 41:24Speaker 2: to join. It's real, real, real inside swamp, real deep
- 41:30Speaker 2: state stuff. The bushes are in the Alfalfa Society. Very
- 41:35Speaker 2: few people make it into there. It's very very elite
- 41:39Speaker 2: inside d C. Washington. So when Trump first got elected
- 41:44Speaker 2: in twenty sixteen, all these Alfalfa people would say to me,
- 41:49Speaker 2: I don't know if we're gonna like it. I don't
- 41:50Speaker 2: know if we're gonna he's gonna be I don't know
- 41:52Speaker 2: if he's gonna get a good reception at the Alfalfa dinner.
- 41:54Speaker 2: And I used to say, Tom, I don't think he's
- 41:56Speaker 2: coming to you stupid dinner. And sure enough, he didn't
- 41:58Speaker 2: come the first year, and they're all grumbling to me.
- 42:00Speaker 2: No president has ever refused to come to it. No
- 42:03Speaker 2: president has ever not come to an Alfalfa.
- 42:05Speaker 12: Well.
- 42:05Speaker 2: For four years, he never went because he knew what
- 42:08Speaker 2: these real old, inside elite swamp people thought of him.
- 42:12Speaker 2: But this year he decided to go. It's a whole
- 42:14Speaker 2: new world now Trump has decided to take them on.
- 42:17Speaker 2: So he showed up at the Alfalfa dinner. It's kind
- 42:20Speaker 2: of a roast. I mean, you're supposed to make jokes there.
- 42:23Speaker 2: But it's a very exclusive club. And he sees Mitt
- 42:26Speaker 2: Romney and he's got some great jokes about Romney. But
- 42:29Speaker 2: he mentions Mitt Romney and asked him to stand up,
- 42:34Speaker 2: and Romney gets like a standing Ovation member. It's these
- 42:37Speaker 2: kind of people, these old kind of Ivy League, skull
- 42:40Speaker 2: and Bones type. They love Romney. They give him an
- 42:42Speaker 2: incredible ovation. So then Trump said, I guess I better
- 42:46Speaker 2: not do these jokes. Now I can see what you're thinking. Well,
- 42:48Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to throw out these jokes and not
- 42:50Speaker 2: do them. But he went for the first time ever,
- 42:53Speaker 2: lasts about four hours. There's only two hundred members of
- 42:56Speaker 2: this very exclusive club. Jeb Bush was there, George Bush
- 43:02Speaker 2: was there. It's that kind of a dinner and the
- 43:05Speaker 2: Marine band plays. It's not the most exciting dinner. And actually,
- 43:09Speaker 2: if you look at the way it started, it was
- 43:11Speaker 2: originally formed by a bunch of Southerners at the Willard
- 43:15Speaker 2: Hotel in Washington to celebrate the birthday of Robert E. Lee,
- 43:19Speaker 2: the Confederate General. And in fact, remember William Rehnquist, the
- 43:25Speaker 2: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, when he had his
- 43:28Speaker 2: Senate Judiciary hearing to get nominated to be the Chief Justice.
- 43:36Speaker 2: They went after him for being a member of the
- 43:38Speaker 2: Alfalfa Club, but he defended it in the hearings, saying,
- 43:43Speaker 2: I go there at a meet once a year and
- 43:44Speaker 2: listen to patriotic music and hear some funny political speeches.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Let's see nineteen eighty four. Bill Clinton did boycott it once. Actually,
- 43:54Speaker 2: Bill Clinton boycotted it one year. This is such an old,
- 43:57Speaker 2: old world club that women were not allowed in the
- 44:01Speaker 2: club until like nineteen ninety four. And I guess they
- 44:04Speaker 2: finally let him in because Bill Clinton refused to go
- 44:07Speaker 2: until they let women in. But it's interesting Trump decided
- 44:10Speaker 2: to go this weekend just to go into the lions
- 44:14Speaker 2: Den and talk to them. Hey, Mayor, Mom Donnie has
- 44:17Speaker 2: appointed somebody to run the Department of Corrections, an ex convict,
- 44:23Speaker 2: somebody who had been in jail. He's now in charge
- 44:25Speaker 2: of the jail. That's Mom Donnie was very proud of this.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Stanley Richards will become the first formerly incarcerated person to
- 44:34Speaker 2: lead the city's Department of Corrections. Mom Donnie talking about
- 44:38Speaker 2: it like it's an incredible breakthrough. I don't know what's
- 44:41Speaker 2: a breakthrough. I mean what's so great about that? And
- 44:43Speaker 2: if a guy came to you in a job interview
- 44:46Speaker 2: and you look at the resume, Bhi, see here you
- 44:49Speaker 2: were in prison. That's very good. What a good resume.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Normally you'd not get a job for that. If you
- 44:56Speaker 2: walk around Manhattan, the sidewalks are pretty good. I was
- 44:59Speaker 2: in the suburbs weekend and bad, really bad. The sidewalks are.
- 45:04Speaker 2: All they did was clear, like a little little path
- 45:07Speaker 2: through the sidewalk. Here Manhattan roads sidewalks all totally clear.
- 45:11Speaker 2: There are snow piles at the curb. And the other
- 45:14Speaker 2: problem is there's garbage, massive piles of garbage. Sanitation department
- 45:18Speaker 2: not picking up garbage for a week. I don't know why.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I guess they're busy with snowroom or something. But it
- 45:24Speaker 2: looks pretty bad.
- 45:26Speaker 15: Mayor Mom, Donnie So I asked New Yorkers please check
- 45:28Speaker 15: in on your neighbors, especially older adults, New Yorkers with disabilities,
- 45:32Speaker 15: and those without access to reliable heat. This is one
- 45:35Speaker 15: of the longest, most sustained cold stretches our city has
- 45:39Speaker 15: endured in years, and it is showing no signs of abating.
- 45:43Speaker 2: That's what they call a code blue. Although it's going
- 45:46Speaker 2: to hit maybe thirty two today and maybe thirty three
- 45:49Speaker 2: tomorrow and Wednesday. That could start a little falling. But
- 45:54Speaker 2: we've never had it stay this cold this long in
- 45:57Speaker 2: a million years. Mayor Mom. Donnie also getting a lot
- 45:59Speaker 2: of flak because he told all the departments, police, everybody else,
- 46:04Speaker 2: don't take the homeless off the street, don't bother them.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Unless it's a medical emergency. You're not allowed to remove
- 46:10Speaker 2: the homeless. So the death hole keeps increasing there now
- 46:14Speaker 2: fourteen dead, fourteen dead because he left them out on
- 46:20Speaker 2: the street. Fourteen that's a lot of dead bodies. All
- 46:24Speaker 2: he had to do was in previous administration, they were
- 46:27Speaker 2: just force you to go to the shelter. When it
- 46:29Speaker 2: got to you know, windshill of minus five, they'd make
- 46:32Speaker 2: you go to the shelter. But Mom done. I don't
- 46:35Speaker 2: know what he thinks that. When ten died, you think
- 46:37Speaker 2: you'd change your mind on that, But fourteen have died.
- 46:41Speaker 2: You know the problem with these the celebrities that threaten
- 46:43Speaker 2: to leave the country if Trump is elected, they never
- 46:47Speaker 2: keep the promise. He said, Well, Rosie O'Donnell Ellen degenerous
- 46:52Speaker 2: moved out of the country. She's back. Look at this
- 46:56Speaker 2: she's buying a house in California, montes She was looking
- 47:01Speaker 2: at a thirty five million dollar mansion beachfront. And you know,
- 47:06Speaker 2: she already has a house in Monteesito, twenty seven million
- 47:09Speaker 2: dollar house. She's buying another one down the street, a
- 47:12Speaker 2: thirty five million dollar house. So it looks like she's
- 47:16Speaker 2: coming back. Apparently you cannot get rid of these people.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Now you're saying, how does she have that much money?
- 47:21Speaker 2: That's like sixty five million in real estate right there. Well,
- 47:25Speaker 2: the most the highest paying thing you can do is
- 47:29Speaker 2: have a daytime syndicated talk show. You know, if you're
- 47:32Speaker 2: the host of a big TV show, if you're Johnny Carson,
- 47:35Speaker 2: you can make twenty million a year. If you're David
- 47:38Speaker 2: Letterman in his heyday, you could make twenty thirty million
- 47:40Speaker 2: a year. If you got a daytime syndicated show where
- 47:46Speaker 2: you have a piece of the ownership of the show.
- 47:48Speaker 2: When you're syndicated on TV, you know, like an Oprah,
- 47:52Speaker 2: that kind of show, you can make a couple hundred
- 47:54Speaker 2: million a year, and it's it's the most lucrative thing
- 47:58Speaker 2: there is. That's why Oprah got to be a billionaire.
- 48:00Speaker 2: That's why Donna Hughe, who is really the first big
- 48:03Speaker 2: big daytime syndication, retired with like five six hundred million,
- 48:07Speaker 2: so Allan de Generes was like the you know, the
- 48:11Speaker 2: Merv Griffin Mike Douglass of the eighties and nineties and
- 48:15Speaker 2: our nineties and two thousands, but probably retired with three
- 48:19Speaker 2: four hundred million bucks as a result. So she's back. Hey,
- 48:22Speaker 2: Harry Styles coming to Madison Square Garden. This will be
- 48:26Speaker 2: the next big residency. Billy Joel once a month for
- 48:30Speaker 2: many years, but Harry Styles is going to do thirty shows,
- 48:34Speaker 2: thirty in like a two month period. Nobody, Nobody's ever
- 48:40Speaker 2: Billy Joel was once a month. That's twelve shows a year.
- 48:42Speaker 2: This guy's so big. He's going to do thirty thirty
- 48:47Speaker 2: over the summer in just two months. And ticket I'm
- 48:49Speaker 2: looking at the ticket prices three hundred and fifty to
- 48:51Speaker 2: six hundred bucks, so that's like six million a show.
- 48:56Speaker 2: They'll take in six million a show and probably usually
- 48:59Speaker 2: an other five hundred thousand just in the lobby on merchandise,
- 49:04Speaker 2: five hundred thousand and merchandise before the show even starts.
- 49:08Speaker 2: So I'm gonna make a fortune this year. Hey, we'll
- 49:10Speaker 2: take some calls next eight hundred three to two one
- 49:14Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 49:17Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Now more Marximo on sevent ten wor.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Well, hey y a bunch of emails about this. So
- 49:29Speaker 2: apparently Andrew Cuomo now doing a radio show, and he
- 49:34Speaker 2: came up with a concept. And you got to give
- 49:37Speaker 2: the guy credit. This could revolutionize things. He came up
- 49:39Speaker 2: with a concept for a radio show. He calls it
- 49:43Speaker 2: the Pulse of the People, where he takes the pulse
- 49:48Speaker 2: of the people. The way he does this, Now, listen
- 49:50Speaker 2: to this. He takes phone calls on the radio and
- 49:53Speaker 2: people can call up and give their opinion. Whoa Now
- 49:58Speaker 2: this was This is revel lutionary for nineteen forty six
- 50:01Speaker 2: when Barry Gray. Barry Gray was the first guy ever
- 50:05Speaker 2: to put a phone call on the air in nineteen
- 50:07Speaker 2: forty six and let people talk, and then he went
- 50:09Speaker 2: on to become the king of talk radio, the modern
- 50:13Speaker 2: day pioneer of talk greater. But I don't know.
- 50:16Speaker 16: Don't tell Cuomo that everybody's been doing this for like
- 50:20Speaker 16: eighty years. Tell me them no, That might upset him.
- 50:23Speaker 16: But apparently a lot of people were a little miffed
- 50:25Speaker 16: because on the show kept blaming Curtis. It was all Curtises.
- 50:29Speaker 16: He would have been mayor if not for Curtis, he
- 50:31Speaker 16: would have won. And he said that many experts have
- 50:36Speaker 16: said if it.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Wasn't for Curtis, he would have won. I don't know
- 50:39Speaker 2: one expert that says this. First of all, he took
- 50:42Speaker 2: every single vote Curtis ad added to Cuomo's votes. He's
- 50:46Speaker 2: still nowhere close enough to win. But I don't listen,
- 50:50Speaker 2: I don't blame him. He got to tell himself that.
- 50:52Speaker 2: I mean, you can't say to yourself, I just was
- 50:54Speaker 2: rejected by the voters. I mean, the real reason he
- 50:57Speaker 2: lost his Democrats wouldn't vote for him. Lost the primary.
- 51:01Speaker 2: Bat he really lost the primary to Mam Donnie. And
- 51:04Speaker 2: then in the general election, and he talks about how
- 51:06Speaker 2: many Republicans voted for him. Problem is he couldn't get
- 51:09Speaker 2: enough Democrats to vote for him. But you're not gonna
- 51:11Speaker 2: be You're not gonna admit to yourself it's me. They
- 51:13Speaker 2: didn't like me, So you got to convince yourself it's
- 51:15Speaker 2: Curtis's fault. So let him do it. It makes him
- 51:18Speaker 2: feel better. Let's go to Kevin and Boston. Kevin, how
- 51:22Speaker 2: you doing well?
- 51:24Speaker 10: Hi?
- 51:24Speaker 12: Mock de fomo is such a lie. Eighty five percent
- 51:30Speaker 12: of the people who voted for Mom Donnie were foreigners
- 51:33Speaker 12: who became Americans, so the sixty five Immigration Act got
- 51:37Speaker 12: him elected. Everybody's lying, they don't want to talk.
- 51:39Speaker 2: About and actually Mom Donnie did pretty well with even
- 51:42Speaker 2: homegrown Democrats. They're into this socialism now. They like this socialism.
- 51:48Speaker 2: But well, you know, as George Will said, you got
- 51:51Speaker 2: to do this every twenty years. Every twenty years, you
- 51:54Speaker 2: got to do some socialism so everybody can be reminded
- 51:56Speaker 2: and see for themselves. New generations can see how bad
- 51:59Speaker 2: it is, how badly at bombs, So maybe we have
- 52:02Speaker 2: to go through that. Let's go to Kenny and baside Kenny,
- 52:05Speaker 2: how you doing, Kenny?
- 52:10Speaker 13: Mark?
- 52:10Speaker 12: What about happened?
- 52:11Speaker 8: Steve from Manhattan is a guest?
- 52:12Speaker 2: Come on, may the hell Steve from Manhattan? I don't
- 52:14Speaker 2: even know who that is. Let's go to Robert in Westchester. Robert,
- 52:18Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 52:20Speaker 7: Good morning?
- 52:20Speaker 5: Mark?
- 52:20Speaker 7: Thanks for taking the mark. Uh did you see the
- 52:24Speaker 7: two elections that happened in Texas? One was for congressmen
- 52:28Speaker 7: and it was and the other one was for state senator. Yeah,
- 52:32Speaker 7: but the one for state senator was a Republican district.
- 52:36Speaker 7: Now they're talking about jerrymandering over there. Mark, do the
- 52:39Speaker 7: Republicans always shoot themselves on the foot.
- 52:41Speaker 2: Well, I wouldn't worry about it's a little state senate race.
- 52:43Speaker 2: It means absolutely nothing. In Texas we're talking about. This
- 52:45Speaker 2: is how he Carr. It means absolutely nothing. But because
- 52:49Speaker 2: it's a Republican losing, even in a totally irrelevant race,
- 52:53Speaker 2: it's front page news all over the world. All of
- 52:55Speaker 2: a sudden, let's go to Bill and Lafayette. Bill, how
- 52:58Speaker 2: you doing?
- 53:00Speaker 10: Fire Mark Quick mentioned on the Jeffrey Epstein matter, it's
- 53:05Speaker 10: amazing that these women were contacted and they're saying, you know,
- 53:09Speaker 10: we're going to offer you a free plane ride, food
- 53:13Speaker 10: and drink, party, party, party, Come on down, bring your
- 53:16Speaker 10: small spikini with you, and if you want to, you
- 53:19Speaker 10: can bring your daughter. Now, all of a sudden, there's
- 53:21Speaker 10: survivors they went to a party.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Well, actually, I gotta I gotta stop you there mixing
- 53:27Speaker 2: all kinds of things up. There were a lot of
- 53:29Speaker 2: normal age women, older women, that was fine, but there
- 53:32Speaker 2: were underage women that were recruited and bit bit terrible
- 53:37Speaker 2: things are done to them by Gallaine Maxwell recruiting them.
- 53:40Speaker 2: They didn't go in there with the intention of all
- 53:42Speaker 2: that stuff. There were victims, plenty of them. That's why
- 53:45Speaker 2: Gallaine Maxwell went to prison. That's why Epstein went to prison. Now,
- 53:49Speaker 2: you gotta remember if you went to I mean, I
- 53:51Speaker 2: went to those kinds of things, if you went to
- 53:53Speaker 2: an Epstein event. Uh, there were a lot of women there,
- 53:58Speaker 2: and I'd say probably ninety four percent of them were
- 54:02Speaker 2: adult women of all ages. There were a lot of
- 54:06Speaker 2: young women there, but a small percentage, and those were
- 54:09Speaker 2: for Epstein. And I'm sure there were a couple of
- 54:12Speaker 2: his friends, Prince Andrew and others who liked the young women,
- 54:16Speaker 2: but most of them, the Bill Clinton's, the Bill Gates.
- 54:18Speaker 2: It was the older women that they were interested in.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Let's go to Steve in Tennessee. Steve, how you doing?
- 54:25Speaker 2: Aratbert doing pretty good?
- 54:26Speaker 8: Mark?
- 54:27Speaker 13: Hey, I got a question for you.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:29Speaker 13: Do you think do you think Don Lemon got a
- 54:31Speaker 13: cavity search when he went to jail.
- 54:34Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe, In fact, if he did, he'd
- 54:37Speaker 2: probably come back a couple of times. But anyway, let's
- 54:39Speaker 2: go to Tom in Queen's Tom, how you doing.
- 54:43Speaker 5: Hey, Mark?
- 54:43Speaker 17: Speaking of Don Lemon, the guys out therefore, before the
- 54:48Speaker 17: church invasion, he's out there with corfee and donuts giving
- 54:52Speaker 17: him out to all the people. I mean, you know
- 54:55Speaker 17: that's and he admits the guy asked him who saw
- 54:58Speaker 17: do you want? And he admitsed these on their side.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Well, Don Lemmon's got a couple of problems when he
- 55:03Speaker 2: goes to trial. One, he was in on the planning
- 55:07Speaker 2: of it. There's video of him planning, conspiring with these
- 55:10Speaker 2: people to go in. And the mission that they went
- 55:13Speaker 2: in with was to stop the service, disrupt the church.
- 55:17Speaker 2: The reason they went after this church, the pastor also
- 55:22Speaker 2: works for ICE. He's acting director of ICE in Saint Paul, Minnesota,
- 55:27Speaker 2: and he also happens to be the pastor. That's the
- 55:29Speaker 2: reason they went in. They targeted this church. They ended
- 55:33Speaker 2: up disrupting the service. It's against this specific law or
- 55:38Speaker 2: two about that you cannot go into a church and
- 55:41Speaker 2: interfere with the service in anyway. You can't. Also, there's
- 55:43Speaker 2: a law you can't go in and try to intimidate
- 55:46Speaker 2: the people in the church. That was done. There's video
- 55:50Speaker 2: of Don Lemon with the plotters and planners where he
- 55:54Speaker 2: acknowledges he was in on the planning. That's where he's
- 55:56Speaker 2: got a big legal problem. And then in the indictment
- 55:59Speaker 2: they describe certain instances where he was blocking the door,
- 56:04Speaker 2: not letting people in er out. So that's where he's
- 56:07Speaker 2: got a real problem and can get convicted. So doesn't
- 56:11Speaker 2: look good for him. Doesn't look good for him, He'll
- 56:14Speaker 2: use it to make himself relevant again. He's on Jimmy
- 56:17Speaker 2: Kimmel tonight, so hey when we come back, the Greatest
- 56:21Speaker 2: Living DJ, the legend himself, scotch Shannon will go over
- 56:24Speaker 2: the Grammys and super Bowl and a lot more coming
- 56:27Speaker 2: up next on seven to ten WR set up pre
- 56:30Speaker 2: set on.
- 56:31Speaker 1: The iHeartRadio app to WR to hear Mark Live. Set
- 56:35Speaker 1: another for Mark's podcast to hear Him Anytime. Now back
- 56:40Speaker 1: to Mark Simone on woor.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Well with us now, the greatest Living DJ, the legend himself,
- 56:48Speaker 2: the legendary Scott Shannon is with us. Of course you
- 56:53Speaker 2: know him for a million years from radio, but he's
- 56:55Speaker 2: also runs the True Oldies channel, which you should be
- 56:58Speaker 2: listening to, and he's with us now. Scott Shannon, how
- 57:02Speaker 2: you doing?
- 57:03Speaker 13: I am fantastic, Good morning from the frozen tundra of
- 57:09Speaker 13: South Florida. When I used to this kind of weather.
- 57:12Speaker 13: But it's very cold now.
- 57:14Speaker 1: How cold is it it's been.
- 57:17Speaker 13: It's been down to thirty thirty two at night. Everybody
- 57:20Speaker 13: got their flowers covered up. Yeah, I give you a
- 57:25Speaker 13: hunt too. You know, I was watching the local news
- 57:28Speaker 13: on the ABC affiliate here in South Florida, and you
- 57:32Speaker 13: know how they make the announcements about school closings and
- 57:36Speaker 13: oh something such a school is going to open up late. Yeah, well,
- 57:40Speaker 13: I'm watching it. I swear this is a true story.
- 57:44Speaker 13: They come on to announce across the bottom of the
- 57:46Speaker 13: screen that the message said two hour delays in the
- 57:51Speaker 13: opening of the pickle ball courts. You got to delay
- 57:59Speaker 13: those men. You can't get out there for two hours.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Wow. Uh did you watch the Grammys last night?
- 58:06Speaker 13: Well? I watched them because I did it so you
- 58:10Speaker 13: wouldn't have to. But I'm kind of interesting because besides
- 58:16Speaker 13: the Grammys, you had a great Knicks game on last
- 58:20Speaker 13: night where they knocked out the Lakers. That was interesting.
- 58:24Speaker 13: You also had American Idol, who's had pretty good numbers
- 58:28Speaker 13: in the last couple of seasons, and the new season
- 58:31Speaker 13: of Bridgerton kicked off last night too.
- 58:35Speaker 2: And I gotta be honest, I don't even know what Bridgerton.
- 58:38Speaker 2: I've never watched Bridgerton.
- 58:40Speaker 13: Oh I don't either, but I got someone in the
- 58:42Speaker 13: house that does, so she was all excited. I watched
- 58:48Speaker 13: as much as I could take it. It wasn't as
- 58:54Speaker 13: much you know, Trump banging as usually you'll see him do.
- 59:01Speaker 13: And there was a few little stabs and jabs, but
- 59:05Speaker 13: it wasn't as bad as normal. Trevor Noah who thinks
- 59:10Speaker 13: he's funny and occasionally touches on funny, but he they
- 59:18Speaker 13: just see him. They just see him sit down and
- 59:21Speaker 13: have a little chit chat with the bad Bunny guy. Yeah,
- 59:27Speaker 13: bad Bunny wanted nothing to do with his.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Crap what Trevor Noah is. He's a political commentator. Shouldn't
- 59:36Speaker 2: you have an actual comedian to host the Grammy's not
- 59:38Speaker 2: a political guy?
- 59:40Speaker 13: I think so.
- 59:41Speaker 8: Well.
- 59:41Speaker 13: Like I said, I think he likes to identify as funny.
- 59:47Speaker 13: I'm not sure that he is. I keep waiting for it,
- 59:51Speaker 13: and he did it. He did a.
- 59:53Speaker 5: Pretty decent job.
- 59:54Speaker 13: And I know this is gonna sound weird, but I
- 59:57Speaker 13: kind of like mister bad Bunny I thought thought he
- 1:00:00Speaker 13: was very sincere seemed like a nice guy. He doesn't
- 1:00:05Speaker 13: speak English very well, you know, he's a Spanish guy.
- 1:00:09Speaker 13: And then did you see the line where Trevor Noah said,
- 1:00:14Speaker 13: I don't like what's going on in this country? Could
- 1:00:16Speaker 13: I move in with you in Puerto Rico? Bad buddy said, No,
- 1:00:21Speaker 13: it's worse there.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: I don't know. Looks a little weird to me. You
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: know when he when he won, did you see him
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: cover his face for like thirty seconds like he was crying?
- 1:00:31Speaker 13: Well, I think do you think he was emotional or something?
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. And he's just a
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: weird guy. He's kind of creepy looking, isn't he?
- 1:00:39Speaker 13: Yeah, a little bit. But I thought, like I said,
- 1:00:42Speaker 13: I didn't think he was that bad. I thought he
- 1:00:44Speaker 13: was okay, I mean he didn't he didn't reach as
- 1:00:47Speaker 13: hard as uh as Trevor did.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:00:51Speaker 13: Did you did? I'm sure you didn't watch the Red Carpet. No,
- 1:00:56Speaker 13: you didn't see that girl? Uh Chapel roone she is yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: she's she wanted she wanted a big award last year.
- 1:01:07Speaker 13: She's a she does a pink pony song. Yeah, Well,
- 1:01:13Speaker 13: I saw her coming in and she had this dress
- 1:01:16Speaker 13: on and and I'm pretty sure it was supported by
- 1:01:23Speaker 13: nipple clamps on her. I'm not kidding you. The whole
- 1:01:29Speaker 13: dress was suspended by the nipples.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:01:34Speaker 13: I don't think. I don't think she had the nerve
- 1:01:36Speaker 13: to wear it when she went on television, but she
- 1:01:39Speaker 13: definitely came in like that. And you know, they had
- 1:01:42Speaker 13: something for everyone last night. That the worst thing. Remember
- 1:01:46Speaker 13: last season, they caught a lot of heat for not
- 1:01:50Speaker 13: doing tributes for all the full all the people who
- 1:01:53Speaker 13: had passed away during the year.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they always missed people. But what happened last.
- 1:01:57Speaker 13: Night, Well, last night they went the other way. They
- 1:02:02Speaker 13: honored everybody that went I was the worst part of
- 1:02:06Speaker 13: the show. I mean, they God blessed Weaba mcindard. They
- 1:02:11Speaker 13: had her sing a song for about ten minutes and
- 1:02:14Speaker 13: the names would be behind her, you know who passed away,
- 1:02:18Speaker 13: and they named every attorney and producer, anyone ever connected
- 1:02:23Speaker 13: with the music business. And then on came I guess
- 1:02:29Speaker 13: they separated the It looked like they separated white from black.
- 1:02:35Speaker 13: And then all the rappers came up and then they
- 1:02:39Speaker 13: played and sang while they had the names go up
- 1:02:43Speaker 13: in the back. Same deal. It's kind of crazy, but
- 1:02:48Speaker 13: they had something for everybody, if you're over the age
- 1:02:51Speaker 13: of fifty. They had Reba McIntyre. You know, Joni Mitchell
- 1:02:57Speaker 13: was there. Oh Carol, Yeah.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: She was there.
- 1:03:01Speaker 13: She didn't get her She didn't bounce around much. She
- 1:03:04Speaker 13: was pretty much confined. I think she was in a wheelchair.
- 1:03:08Speaker 13: And and Carol King was a presenter. Now you know her.
- 1:03:11Speaker 13: She doesn't like to go anywhere.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:15Speaker 13: So yeah, she only showed up one time for her
- 1:03:19Speaker 13: own Broadway play. No, don't forget share she was there.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, No, who's the oldest person in the room?
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Share with? I think win that right, she's older than.
- 1:03:32Speaker 13: I think it'd be a toss up with her and Joni.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: It was the deal with Justin Bieber. Why was he
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: up there in his underwear doing that song? But I
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: know he was.
- 1:03:43Speaker 13: Now, that wasn't the worst I happened to. I happened
- 1:03:47Speaker 13: to appreciate Lady Gaga. But she came out there with
- 1:03:52Speaker 13: a bird cage on her head or I'm not sure
- 1:03:57Speaker 13: it was a bird cage without a bottom, because she
- 1:04:00Speaker 13: had a bird cage over her head so you couldn't
- 1:04:02Speaker 13: see her face. Yeah, well, that might have not been
- 1:04:07Speaker 13: That might have not It might have not been the
- 1:04:08Speaker 13: worst thing that could happen though. Yeah, so she had
- 1:04:12Speaker 13: that song. She did that song Abra Cadaver if you
- 1:04:15Speaker 13: know that one.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I love all the music, but there's no
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: reason to look at these people. You can just listen
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: to it on the radio. You don't need to see them.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: Do you.
- 1:04:23Speaker 13: Well. They had a pretty good uh tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
- 1:04:27Speaker 13: It was a little you know, a little rocky, but
- 1:04:29Speaker 13: it was nice post Malone to the good singer. They
- 1:04:31Speaker 13: had Slash on guitar and the and the drummer from
- 1:04:35Speaker 13: Chili Peppers.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Speaking of Bad Bunny, he's going to be
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: a halftime entertainment at the super Bowl. Uh. Donald Trump
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: has announced he will not go to the super Bowl.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: He said it's just too far, it's California. But a
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: lot of people think it's because it's Bad Bunny, who's
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: going to attack him some point during the halftime show.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Have you have you ever?
- 1:04:55Speaker 13: Can you tell me one song by Bad Bunny?
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Uh?
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: No? Is he any good?
- 1:05:02Speaker 13: I guess he's good for Spanish speaking people. I mean
- 1:05:06Speaker 13: it seems to be you know, the other thing about
- 1:05:09Speaker 13: the Super Bowl. Are you have you seen the Buttweiser
- 1:05:13Speaker 13: commercial yet? No, the one that there's a preview going on,
- 1:05:18Speaker 13: and it's really really good. Might be one of the
- 1:05:21Speaker 13: best commercials I've ever seen for the Super Bowl. And
- 1:05:25Speaker 13: they have good commercials, but this one, it's really interesting.
- 1:05:30Speaker 13: They have a Clydesdale horse when he's young, he's the
- 1:05:33Speaker 13: little baby Clydesdale horse and he's outside and you sees
- 1:05:37Speaker 13: a little bird sitting there in the rain or the
- 1:05:40Speaker 13: snow or something, and he adopts this little bird turns
- 1:05:45Speaker 13: out to be a baby eagle, and it shows them
- 1:05:49Speaker 13: growing up together and hanging out. It's really heartwarming. They
- 1:05:54Speaker 13: grow up together. They're playing Leonard Skinnered free Bird, you
- 1:05:57Speaker 13: know that song in the background, and then finally the
- 1:06:03Speaker 13: eagle grows up and he's perched on the horse's back
- 1:06:07Speaker 13: and he takes off with that big wingspan. Yeah, and
- 1:06:12Speaker 13: and they're playing free bird. But and the weird thing
- 1:06:15Speaker 13: about it, and not weird, but they hired that kid Lincoln.
- 1:06:19Speaker 13: You know, the eagle from Philadelphia. Yeah, he's the he's
- 1:06:26Speaker 13: the bald eagle that flies around during the national anthem
- 1:06:30Speaker 13: at their home games at Lincoln Financial Field. So that's
- 1:06:34Speaker 13: pretty cool.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Yeah, we talking Scott Shannon. Hey, the super Bowl commercials
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: this year, all time record ten million for a spot
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: on the Super Bowl? Pretty good?
- 1:06:43Speaker 13: Did they really pay that or not? Do you think?
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Well, listen, you're in the broadcasting visits, it's ten million. Yeah,
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: most people. But you know, if it's a big, big, big, big,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: big sponsor, regular all year long spot, maybe you discounted
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: a little or you're throwing a lot of bonus spots
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: somewhere else.
- 1:06:59Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:06:59Speaker 13: I heard you mentioned this this morning, and I'm glad
- 1:07:02Speaker 13: you did, because the liberal press did everything they could
- 1:07:08Speaker 13: to destroy that millennium movie. Yeah miligna, excuse me, and they, oh,
- 1:07:14Speaker 13: this isn't going to go anywhere. Who's going to buy
- 1:07:16Speaker 13: tickets for that? Blah blah, the worst thing, you know,
- 1:07:19Speaker 13: And if you read, I saw a collection of the
- 1:07:22Speaker 13: horrible reviews, and they came up with every insult they
- 1:07:26Speaker 13: could possibly put together. And then at the end of
- 1:07:31Speaker 13: the weekend, she came in third overall for the other
- 1:07:36Speaker 13: all the movies out she had the she had the
- 1:07:40Speaker 13: third most tickets sold that weekend. Yeah, and it made
- 1:07:46Speaker 13: what almost eight million dollars?
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Yeah, like an all time record for the last thirty
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: years for a documentary. And uh, the reviews of the public,
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Rotten Tomatoes, all that very high on the movie. They
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: love the movie.
- 1:07:59Speaker 13: So what about the critics. They didn't seem to care
- 1:08:02Speaker 13: for it much. Well, you know, you said between seven
- 1:08:07Speaker 13: and eight million, that was what they were expecting. They
- 1:08:10Speaker 13: thought in the industry, they thought it'd be greater that
- 1:08:13Speaker 13: she did between three and five.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Yeah, a big, big hit it's going to have, and
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: it's got a lot of publicity. Don't have an even
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: bigger weekend coming up. Hey, before we run out of time,
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: what's the deal with Bruce Springsteen with this new protest song?
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Is he really is just on principle or is he
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: trying to get back on the charts.
- 1:08:32Speaker 13: I believe that. I believe in his principles. I mean,
- 1:08:35Speaker 13: I think I was shocked that they didn't open up
- 1:08:41Speaker 13: the show last night at the Grammys with him sitting
- 1:08:44Speaker 13: there with their guitars singing that song.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:49Speaker 13: Yeah, he did show up, but it was in a
- 1:08:53Speaker 13: clip when they did a tribute to Brian Wilson and
- 1:08:58Speaker 13: he said he you know, he said he learned a
- 1:09:00Speaker 13: lot about songwriting from Brian Wilson. But I mean, you
- 1:09:04Speaker 13: listen to that song. Oh my god, what did he say?
- 1:09:08Speaker 13: He said, I wrote the song on Saturday, recorded it
- 1:09:11Speaker 13: on Sunday, and you can really tell that.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: But it's pretty catchy. The melody, the arrangement, it's peppy.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: It's life. But why is it so catchy if it's
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: a protest song. It's about dying, but it's such a
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: happy melody. It didn't make much sense.
- 1:09:25Speaker 13: Well, I just really believe in the Johnny Carson theory
- 1:09:31Speaker 13: about being a public person. You know, I just don't
- 1:09:35Speaker 13: think you should lean heavily in anyone. Is that our
- 1:09:39Speaker 13: job that people sit around and want to know what
- 1:09:42Speaker 13: Bruce Springsteen thinks or or me or you. I don't
- 1:09:49Speaker 13: think so I don't even.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Want to know what I think. I agree with you. So, hey,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: we're out of time. But Scott Shannon runs the True
