- 1:37Speaker 9: into the weekend as quickly as possible. That's what we're
- 1:39Speaker 9: doing today here on the Woody show.
- 1:43Speaker 8: Let's start off.
- 1:44Speaker 9: Woody show mail call. It's not often that you get
- 1:50Speaker 9: like actual mail these days.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't even know where the mailroom is anymore.
- 1:54Speaker 5: No idea.
- 1:55Speaker 10: It's in three different places.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Some people take it and put it other places.
- 1:58Speaker 9: That's a big box you got there, Gina.
- 2:01Speaker 11: Oh, thank you.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Wait, what?
- 2:05Speaker 5: Look, it's addressed. It's upside down. Hold on, it says.
- 2:09Speaker 5: A lot of handmade stuff there. It's addressed to Gina Grad.
- 2:11Speaker 5: It says, Gina Grad equals winning.
- 2:13Speaker 11: Oh, I know who this is.
- 2:15Speaker 5: The Woody Show.
- 2:16Speaker 9: Attention, Gina Grad. It's got Woody Show logo.
- 2:18Speaker 11: Oh, my goodness. I think this is an old... Time listener.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Old time listener?
- 2:23Speaker 11: An old timey listener from, you know, many shows ago. Yes, please.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 2:28Speaker 11: Maybe it's for everything.
- 2:29Speaker 6: Oh, you know what?
- 2:29Speaker 3: Sammy took the scissors from here earlier and never put
- 2:32Speaker 3: them back. I didn't? Oh, my gosh.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 2:34Speaker 11: That is so irresponsible.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Because somebody also said that they sent us baskets.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:39Speaker 9: I said, I'm hoping you get your baskets. Now it's
- 2:42Speaker 9: stressing me out. I don't know if they've arrived. This
- 2:46Speaker 9: wouldn't be baskets.
- 2:48Speaker 11: No, this is not.
- 2:48Speaker 6: All right.
- 2:49Speaker 9: Well, while she's doing that, Greg, what was the deal?
- 2:52Speaker 9: You said that you had gotten Mario a computer.
- 2:55Speaker 3: For his birthday. Yeah, this is weird. Okay, so it's
- 2:57Speaker 3: not often that I buy computers, right? And so for
- 3:00Speaker 3: his birthday, he wanted... desktop computer it's the ones the
- 3:04Speaker 3: Apple that it's like mega thin and it looks like
- 3:06Speaker 3: just a monitor but that's the computer yeah I don't
- 3:09Speaker 3: know what they're called iMac thank you thank you thank
- 3:12Speaker 3: you thank you so I said Greg pick the one
- 3:15Speaker 3: you want and then that's what we'll get so we
- 3:18Speaker 3: picked it out customize it you can just do how
- 3:20Speaker 3: much memory you want what capabilities and I thought it
- 3:23Speaker 3: would be like cool come get it it's like no
- 3:25Speaker 3: it'll be a month and a half.
- 3:27Speaker 10: Oh you customize it that's why it takes that long Yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 10: it can.
- 3:32Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 3:33Speaker 9: Wait, what kind of customization do you do?
- 3:34Speaker 10: Well, the amount of storage, the RAM.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Oh, okay. So it's not like a look.
- 3:41Speaker 11: Yeah, not like it's colorful.
- 3:42Speaker 5: You can even get it engraved if you want. Are
- 3:44Speaker 5: you still digging in there?
- 3:44Speaker 11: There's a lot of boxes.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 3:47Speaker 9: That's got to be.
- 3:48Speaker 5: What is this person known for that sends this kind
- 3:50Speaker 5: of stuff?
- 3:50Speaker 11: He's a wonderful musician. He's created songs about me.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Oh, send us those.
- 3:56Speaker 9: Is this a stalker?
- 3:58Speaker 12: Oh, no.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Kind of thing?
- 3:59Speaker 11: No, he's very nice. Now, here's a box.
- 4:02Speaker 5: For the whole. We'll let Sammy be the judge of that.
- 4:03Speaker 11: Here's a box for the whole Woody show. Would you
- 4:06Speaker 11: like to open.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Whatever this is?
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah, open it up, Greg.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Sammy says Creeper.
- 4:10Speaker 11: No, he's lovely. Jason from.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Let Sammy be the judge. Did you say Georgia?
- 4:17Speaker 11: I think so.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Okay. Oh, it's a game of. It's like a miniature game.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Of Simon. Remember that old game?
- 4:24Speaker 5: Oh, sure.
- 4:24Speaker 10: I love Simon.
- 4:25Speaker 5: He spent a lot of time and possibly money on this.
- 4:28Speaker 11: I'm still opening boxes.
- 4:29Speaker 9: It's like nesting boxes.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Should we save this for Christmas?
- 4:33Speaker 4: Is this an advent calendar situation?
- 4:35Speaker 5: It's just like what my mom's family would send us.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Maybe something for every kid.
- 4:38Speaker 3: The Simon game says, For the Woody Show, just in
- 4:40Speaker 3: case you want to play a little Simon, you now
- 4:42Speaker 3: have a little Simon to play.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Oh, that's so cute.
- 4:46Speaker 3: From Jason. Thank you, Jason.
- 4:48Speaker 13: And here's another one for the Woody Show. It says,
- 4:50Speaker 13: For the Woody Show, hope the Mighty 8-Ball will become
- 4:53Speaker 13: a regular on the show and bring lots of laughs.
- 4:55Speaker 13: Much love from Jason, and it's an 8-Ball.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Oh, it's a Magic 8-Ball.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I love Magic 8-Ball.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:00Speaker 5: And Simon. Yes. Creep.
- 5:02Speaker 11: I'm not sure.
- 5:03Speaker 13: Oh, I'm not sure what these are, but there's tons
- 5:06Speaker 13: of them.
- 5:06Speaker 11: These little boxes. They say the Woody Show, these little
- 5:09Speaker 11: wooden boxes.
- 5:10Speaker 9: They look like little dugouts.
- 5:11Speaker 11: And inside, it says, blur the line. Oh, it's a
- 5:15Speaker 11: thumb drive.
- 5:16Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Oh, sweet.
- 5:18Speaker 11: Now, Jason's a musician. Like I said, he's written songs
- 5:20Speaker 11: about me.
- 5:21Speaker 9: So he's got, like, songs on there?
- 5:22Speaker 11: I bet it's his new song.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Let's see. Oh, boy.
- 5:25Speaker 5: This could be interesting.
- 5:25Speaker 11: From his album Blur the Lines, I'm guessing.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Nice.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Blur the Lines featuring Gina?
- 5:29Speaker 13: He has a song called Sweet and Innocent Gina that
- 5:32Speaker 13: I've heard many times.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Okay.
- 5:34Speaker 5: So, Sammy, how are we feeling on the creep scale here?
- 5:37Speaker 4: I have to hear the song.
- 5:40Speaker 14: I'm into the types of things he's sending.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh.
- 5:44Speaker 3: What is this?
- 5:45Speaker 13: I got Dolly Parton pajama pants.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Those will be used.
- 5:48Speaker 11: And a little bear.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Nice.
- 5:50Speaker 9: Is that for your doggy, maybe?
- 5:52Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 5:53Speaker 11: And ooh, some fashion glasses.
- 5:56Speaker 13: Two pairs of fashion glasses.
- 5:59Speaker 11: Thank you, Jason.
- 6:00Speaker 5: That is so nice. Does he work at a gift shop?
- 6:02Speaker 8: I'm not sure.
- 6:03Speaker 11: Oh, here's more boxes. Lots of boxes.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Sweet.
- 6:07Speaker 13: Oh, these are like little skeleton keys with a thumb
- 6:11Speaker 13: drive on them.
- 6:12Speaker 5: You always wanted a key to a city.
- 6:14Speaker 7: I did.
- 6:14Speaker 8: What a wonderful man.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Thank you, Jason.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Wow.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Did you put it in? It's a nice guy.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Why does it say? Oh, okay.
- 6:23Speaker 9: It's the drive he titled For Greg.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Oh, no.
- 6:27Speaker 10: We probably all.
- 6:28Speaker 5: Have our own.
- 6:29Speaker 11: That's why there's so many.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Because the box has my name on it. So maybe
- 6:32Speaker 3: it's everybody.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Has their own. This one says non-AI influenced original songs.
- 6:38Speaker 5: And then there's a folder in here.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 5: His name is Jason. Blur the lines.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Power source.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Yeah, Jason.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Oh, there's a bunch of.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Last name's power.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Okay.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Bold name.
- 6:49Speaker 11: There's lots of these, so maybe we all get a.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 6:52Speaker 14: And he just went down on the creep factor for
- 6:55Speaker 14: having one for everybody.
- 6:56Speaker 11: That is really nice, right?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay.
- 6:58Speaker 5: You want to hear a song called Normal Girls? Yes.
- 7:01Speaker 3: All right.
- 7:01Speaker 9: So, Normal Girls.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 7:03Speaker 9: This is from the guy who just sent all these GIFs.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:12Speaker 3: It's building.
- 7:14Speaker 1: The synths.
- 7:16Speaker 3: So far, loving.
- 7:17Speaker 8: There's no food.
- 7:21Speaker 3: In that box, right?
- 7:22Speaker 5: No. Okay. Damn it, Jason.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But I get PJs.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Well, thank you for the mail. That's really nice.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Jason.
- 7:40Speaker 12: Jason.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 7:42Speaker 11: I love you.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 7:44Speaker 11: I appreciate you.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Can we play Simon now?
- 7:46Speaker 6: Yes.
- 7:46Speaker 3: There we go.
- 7:46Speaker 9: We'll take a break. We'll play Simon. We'll come back.
- 7:49Speaker 5: And we got some more.
- 7:50Speaker 9: Woody Show for you. Oh, I almost forgot about the birthday.
- 7:53Speaker 9: Should we do the birthdays or skip them? I think
- 7:55Speaker 9: today's all of our birthday with all these kids.
- 7:58Speaker 5: So forget it. We'll skip it. More Woody Shows next.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Hang on.
- 8:01Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 8:04Speaker 7: All right.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Moving right along.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Keeping it moving.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Keeping it moving.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Greg Gorey.
- 8:11Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Europe. Trending news headlines. Well, we do have to start
- 8:14Speaker 3: with horrific news out of Bend, Oregon. This is where
- 8:17Speaker 3: a 16-year-old forced his way into Silver Rail Elementary School,
- 8:20Speaker 3: armed with a rifle, killed three students and a teacher.
- 8:24Speaker 3: The students were just 5, 8, and 11 years old.
- 8:27Speaker 3: A 7-year-old student and a 54-year-old teacher were also critically injured,
- 8:30Speaker 3: and they were taken to the hospital. Now, the psychopath's
- 8:33Speaker 3: shooting spree got ended when a good Samaritan who saw
- 8:36Speaker 3: this guy charge into the school, he ran in and
- 8:39Speaker 3: shot him. The guy repeatedly has a kid who goes
- 8:42Speaker 3: to Silver Rail Elementary, and he has a concealed carry license.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Saved countless lives. We'll never know how many.
- 8:47Speaker 9: Yeah, I heard he, like, shot his way in through
- 8:49Speaker 9: locked doors.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Like, used the gun to, you know, shoot the door
- 8:52Speaker 5: locks and.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Get in there. And luckily, this guy saw him doing
- 8:55Speaker 3: that and just sprung into action and took him out.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So now the FBI is assisting with the investigation. It's
- 9:01Speaker 3: really early stages, so they're trying to figure out what
- 9:03Speaker 3: the hell went on there. Also, no three-peat for the Dodgers.
- 9:07Speaker 3: They had jumped out four to nothing in the second
- 9:10Speaker 3: inning in Otani's three-run home run. And for about 20
- 9:13Speaker 3: minutes or so, seemed like the comeback was going to
- 9:15Speaker 3: be real. But then the Brewers mounted their comeback, eventually
- 9:18Speaker 3: taking the lead, winning six to four to complete that
- 9:20Speaker 3: four-game sweep against the Dodgers.
- 9:23Speaker 8: Damn.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Well, the Dodgers swept them last year.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 9: And so now it's with the Dodgers this year.
- 9:29Speaker 5: What a run for the Dodgers, though.
- 9:31Speaker 9: Think about that.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah, incredible.
- 9:32Speaker 9: Look at recent history as far as getting to even
- 9:35Speaker 9: just the National League Championship, like going that far, and
- 9:39Speaker 9: then you won the last two World Series.
- 9:41Speaker 15: All those division titles as well. They've been kind of
- 9:44Speaker 15: like the class of the league for the last decade
- 9:47Speaker 15: or so.
- 9:47Speaker 5: It's been a hell of a run. Fresh blood now, though.
- 9:49Speaker 5: We'll see what happens with the Brewers.
- 9:51Speaker 3: It seems like the start of the season was so
- 9:53Speaker 3: long ago, but didn't they get off to a pretty
- 9:55Speaker 3: bad start?
- 9:55Speaker 5: Yeah, they were pretty bumpy, right? They were up and
- 9:57Speaker 5: down all season. Milwaukee's been pretty consistent.
- 10:00Speaker 15: And everyone forgets, Milwaukee did have the best record in
- 10:02Speaker 15: the league.
- 10:03Speaker 9: It's not like this is why they had.
- 10:05Speaker 3: All the home field advantage. Yeah, and this is going
- 10:07Speaker 3: to be Milwaukee's first World Series since 1982, and they're
- 10:10Speaker 3: one step closer to the franchise's very first championship. And
- 10:14Speaker 3: then in the ALCS, the Guardians won yesterday to take
- 10:17Speaker 3: a 2-1 series lead, Game 4, tonight at 5 on TBS.
- 10:21Speaker 3: And then in Thursday Night Football, Seahawks turned the ball
- 10:24Speaker 3: over three times, including one in overtime, and that led
- 10:27Speaker 3: to a Broncos 53-yard game-winning field goal, so the Broncos
- 10:31Speaker 3: take it 17-14.
- 10:32Speaker 9: For the longest time, the Thursday Night Football game was
- 10:35Speaker 9: such garbage. Always a garbage lineup, two teams nobody cared about.
- 10:38Speaker 9: It seems like they've had a lot. better luck with
- 10:41Speaker 9: the schedule.
- 10:42Speaker 5: I mean, luck.
- 10:42Speaker 9: I mean, they schedule it thinking that it's going to
- 10:44Speaker 9: be better, but the league is clearly giving them better games.
- 10:47Speaker 15: Well, they heard Al Michaels because he's obviously a famous
- 10:50Speaker 15: broadcaster and he complained like a whole season about how
- 10:54Speaker 15: crappy the games were and they obviously listened to him.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Yeah, they're always putting the dog on the schedule in
- 10:59Speaker 5: the Thursday night spot.
- 11:00Speaker 11: Oh, what about Monday night?
- 11:02Speaker 5: Well, Monday night's been okay. Sunday night's usually the- The
- 11:05Speaker 5: prime time. Yeah, the game.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 10: Yeah, but with the Thursday thing, if I'm a company
- 11:10Speaker 10: buying that game to broadcast it, I would be also upset.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 5: I'd be complaining 100%. Yeah, I'm sure Amazon complained.
- 11:16Speaker 1: To you, right?
- 11:16Speaker 10: Yeah, they're like, dude, I'm paying how many millions of
- 11:19Speaker 10: dollars and you can give me these lame games?
- 11:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 3: You mentioned Al Michaels, Jeff.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 3: One of the biggest pieces of nostalgia for me is
- 11:27Speaker 3: being a kid Going to bed and then having my
- 11:29Speaker 3: door slightly open and hearing my dad watching Monday Night
- 11:32Speaker 3: Football and hearing Al Michaels was the best.
- 11:35Speaker 5: He's comforting.
- 11:36Speaker 3: He is.
- 11:37Speaker 5: There's a lot of people that hate him all of
- 11:38Speaker 5: a sudden.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Why?
- 11:40Speaker 9: I don't know where that kind of sentiment came from.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 11:43Speaker 5: I have no idea. I will tell you, in person,
- 11:45Speaker 5: he's amazing.
- 11:46Speaker 15: I had an opportunity to meet him one time in
- 11:48Speaker 15: a media room where everyone was dining and stuff.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And I just shot my shot and I went up
- 11:52Speaker 5: and I said hello. And I said, hey, big fan.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I really appreciate what you do. He's like, thanks, man.
- 11:56Speaker 5: And we started talking about the game coming up that evening.
- 11:58Speaker 5: And I'm like, see, he's as cool as he seems.
- 12:00Speaker 11: He's super nice. I've met him, too.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Really?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 12:02Speaker 6: Lucky.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I would kick out so hard.
- 12:04Speaker 5: It's not a big deal, apparently.
- 12:06Speaker 10: But no, he's joking. But he's 81 years old. How
- 12:10Speaker 10: is he on the keeping up with everything?
- 12:13Speaker 5: No, he's great. I mean, he sounds great.
- 12:15Speaker 3: He's still one of the best of the best. God
- 12:17Speaker 3: forbid we all meet him.
- 12:18Speaker 9: You're next.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Don't worry.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I do have bad news. We have to scrap our
- 12:22Speaker 3: viewing party because President Trump reversed the plan to live
- 12:27Speaker 3: stream the execution of Nadal Hassan. I know.
- 12:29Speaker 9: He already had the option not to watch it.
- 12:32Speaker 3: True.
- 12:32Speaker 9: He didn't have to watch it.
- 12:33Speaker 3: This is the guy who killed 13 people, wounded 32
- 12:36Speaker 3: at Fort Hood back in 2009. So the execution by
- 12:39Speaker 3: firing squad, that is still scheduled for December 3rd, but
- 12:43Speaker 3: it's not going to be live streamed.
- 12:45Speaker 9: I find it interesting, man, as a society, as a people,
- 12:48Speaker 9: we really enjoy when you see somebody getting their head
- 12:51Speaker 9: stomped in on an Instagram video, like a bunch of
- 12:54Speaker 9: people jumping somebody in the street or something like that,
- 12:58Speaker 9: or gunfire breaks out here. We love watching the most
- 13:01Speaker 9: violent movies, but we're so against all of it. and
- 13:08Speaker 9: brought terror upon innocent people.
- 13:10Speaker 11: That's where we draw the line.
- 13:12Speaker 5: Not that you would even watch it, but you're against
- 13:13Speaker 5: the idea of people being able to watch that.
- 13:16Speaker 9: All this other stuff is fine. All that stuff, that's
- 13:18Speaker 9: all good.
- 13:19Speaker 3: For me, I would say I would 51% want to
- 13:22Speaker 3: watch it. I'd watch it. 49% of me is like, eh.
- 13:25Speaker 11: Well, think about it.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Is it justice? Yes. But do I have to see it?
- 13:29Speaker 14: No.
- 13:29Speaker 11: It's like, do.
- 13:29Speaker 5: I eat meat?
- 13:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 13:31Speaker 11: But do I want to hunt it?
- 13:31Speaker 10: Not really.
- 13:32Speaker 3: No.
- 13:32Speaker 11: But it's like, think about old timey days. Like, oh,
- 13:34Speaker 11: there's a public hanging.
- 13:35Speaker 9: Everybody come on over. I scoured the internet to find
- 13:39Speaker 9: the Saddam Hussein thing.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 13:41Speaker 3: I did watch that. Found that.
- 13:43Speaker 11: You'd get a front row seat. You'd be there early.
- 13:44Speaker 9: Yeah, I watched it.
- 13:45Speaker 11: In the old timey days.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Well, the silver lining is- It's just weird when people
- 13:48Speaker 3: draw their line.
- 13:48Speaker 7: It is.
- 13:49Speaker 3: It's still happening. We just can't see it.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Yeah. Who shut it down, though? Do a raffle. Give
- 13:54Speaker 5: away tickets like they did for the UFC at the
- 13:57Speaker 5: White House. Do it on the lawn.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Can you imagine? That'd be a good fundraiser.
- 14:02Speaker 11: I can imagine.
- 14:03Speaker 3: That'd be a good fundraiser, yeah. After almost nine years
- 14:06Speaker 3: of delays, Elon Musk finally showed off a redesigned Tesla Roadster.
- 14:11Speaker 9: Dude, it does not look real.
- 14:12Speaker 5: It's insane.
- 14:13Speaker 3: It looks kind of space age, right? It was a
- 14:16Speaker 3: demonstration in Texas. They showed this electric Roadster jumping over
- 14:19Speaker 3: other cars and even flying briefly. Kind of putting that
- 14:23Speaker 3: in finger quotes a little bit. It lift up into
- 14:25Speaker 3: the air. thanks to SpaceX technology.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Did you watch the video, Greg?
- 14:30Speaker 3: I mean, they show it, like, with these thrusters under.
- 14:32Speaker 1: It, right?
- 14:33Speaker 9: It goes 0.60 in one second.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Right, 0.81 seconds.
- 14:37Speaker 5: It's insanity. But, like, the way it just went upside
- 14:40Speaker 5: down because of the force.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Right.
- 14:44Speaker 10: And then it just, like, flips, like, in 360, and
- 14:47Speaker 10: then just, like, floats all the way down and lands perfectly.
- 14:50Speaker 5: It was insane. Insane.
- 14:52Speaker 9: Even Elon was saying, this is something you're going to
- 14:54Speaker 9: be able to buy. Not that it's going to be
- 14:56Speaker 9: legal in a lot of places.
- 14:57Speaker 5: You're not going to be using it to go to
- 14:59Speaker 5: the grocery store and stuff.
- 15:01Speaker 10: You might not.
- 15:03Speaker 5: For people who doubt what we should be putting our
- 15:06Speaker 5: money into, you can't watch that roadster literally fly and
- 15:11Speaker 5: hold itself upside down like a damn spider and say, Oh, yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 5: we need to put more money into, like, arts and therapy.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Science and engineering, baby.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, it's incredible.
- 15:22Speaker 3: It's cool.
- 15:22Speaker 11: It doesn't even look real.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah. Top speed, 230 miles an hour. There's going to
- 15:26Speaker 3: be three versions of the Tesla Roadster. One of them
- 15:29Speaker 3: is this high-end model with 10 thrusters that can move
- 15:32Speaker 3: it in different directions. Still a very long wait. Production
- 15:35Speaker 3: doesn't even start until 2028, and you have to reserve
- 15:38Speaker 3: a Roadster with a deposit that starts at $ 50, 000. Oh, cool.
- 15:41Speaker 11: No problem.
- 15:42Speaker 5: To add on to Menace's thing. They use a lot
- 15:44Speaker 5: of this F1 style technology because the way it suctions
- 15:47Speaker 5: itself to the wall is it has fans underneath that
- 15:49Speaker 5: blow out the back. So it essentially creates a 2G
- 15:53Speaker 5: force of suction. Yeah, downforce. Right, exactly. Or in the
- 15:56Speaker 5: case of when you're upside down, upforce. Yeah, it's basically
- 15:59Speaker 5: like a plane upside down. It's in-freaking-sane.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Wow.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Love you, Elon.
- 16:05Speaker 3: It's so awesome. New movies out this weekend. We'll start
- 16:09Speaker 3: with Street Fighter with Jason Momoa and Noah Centineo as
- 16:13Speaker 3: fighters who get caught up in this high-stakes tournament. And
- 16:15Speaker 3: then horror fans, I don't think I could watch this.
- 16:18Speaker 3: There's this new movie out called Crawlers where residents of
- 16:21Speaker 3: this apartment building have to battle a deadly invasion of
- 16:24Speaker 3: giant spiders.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Hell no. Also... Seabass, Musk, the documentary about Elon Musk.
- 16:31Speaker 5: I didn't know that was coming out.
- 16:32Speaker 11: AKA porn.
- 16:33Speaker 5: I'm already reading the book. I got some audible porn
- 16:36Speaker 5: coming to my ears.
- 16:37Speaker 3: There you go. Oh, yeah. And then for everybody who
- 16:39Speaker 3: wants to be bored to tears, a new adaptation of
- 16:43Speaker 3: Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. Yes, I want to see that.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Who the hell?
- 16:48Speaker 10: But I need to wait to see it with my mom.
- 16:51Speaker 9: Morgan is going to go see the Nathan Fielder documentary.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Oh, sweet.
- 16:55Speaker 3: That sounds about right for her.
- 16:56Speaker 9: It's like three hours.
- 16:57Speaker 10: We moved in with Theranos.
- 17:00Speaker 9: I'm not that interested. I'm not three hours interested.
- 17:02Speaker 5: That's not a theater movie either. That's a wait till
- 17:04Speaker 5: it comes to streaming movie.
- 17:06Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I liked Nathan for you, but the other one, the rehearsal,
- 17:09Speaker 3: is that what it was called?
- 17:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I thought even those episodes were too long.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 5: I mean, it's a very slow pace.
- 17:14Speaker 9: It was a lot to get through.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Very slow. Yeah, Nathan, for you, he's a weird dude.
- 17:17Speaker 5: He's more the hot, like, in-your-face comedy.
- 17:19Speaker 6: Right.
- 17:19Speaker 5: And the rehearsal's more like the slow burn stuff.
- 17:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 10: Like, I want to see this documentary, but three hours?
- 17:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I'm driving.
- 17:25Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 5: He's an interesting guy. He is.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yeah. He is. Well, that's the latest one. All right.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Thank you very much, Greg Gorey.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Menace in the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. What
- 17:34Speaker 3: did Tula's parents give her as a wedding gift? Um, um.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Uh, no job?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Uh, hell.
- 17:40Speaker 11: I love America.
- 17:43Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Love and hate. Two very different things.
- 17:49Speaker 9: Man, I love just laying on the floor.
- 17:52Speaker 5: You like laying on the floor?
- 17:53Speaker 2: No.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Like, man, it feels so good on your back.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Really? Oh, yeah, man.
- 17:57Speaker 2: It's, uh.
- 17:59Speaker 3: We got a lot of tile in our.
- 18:00Speaker 9: House, so it's more difficult.
- 18:02Speaker 5: But man, I go to my mom's or something like that,
- 18:05Speaker 5: and everybody's kind of hanging out, and they got TV on.
- 18:07Speaker 5: I'll lay flat on my back, right on the floor.
- 18:10Speaker 11: Do you ever put tennis balls underneath?
- 18:13Speaker 12: No.
- 18:13Speaker 11: You just want to be flat?
- 18:14Speaker 3: No, just want to be flat.
- 18:15Speaker 11: Okay.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Apparently, it is the latest wellness trend.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Really?
- 18:19Speaker 9: It's just laying on the floor. It's called floor time.
- 18:22Speaker 11: What are you, a baby?
- 18:24Speaker 5: You find a comfy spot. You put your phone away.
- 18:26Speaker 5: You spend a few minutes just sitting, stretching, or just
- 18:29Speaker 5: doing absolutely nothing.
- 18:31Speaker 9: Decompress and reset. It calms your nervous system. It lowers
- 18:34Speaker 9: your cortisol. It helps with stress. It's been around for
- 18:38Speaker 9: a few years, but it's having a moment again.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Floor time.
- 18:42Speaker 3: It does all those benefits?
- 18:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 5: I like to call.
- 18:44Speaker 10: Them floor naps.
- 18:45Speaker 9: I just think it's like a good stretch. You know
- 18:49Speaker 9: how that feels?
- 18:49Speaker 5: Like, man, it feels so good. Laying on the floor
- 18:52Speaker 5: on my back on like a nice hard surface feels
- 18:57Speaker 5: so good.
- 18:57Speaker 9: I don't want to sleep like that. Like, I don't
- 18:59Speaker 9: like super firm mattresses.
- 19:01Speaker 12: Right.
- 19:02Speaker 5: But just to get on the floor and then you
- 19:03Speaker 5: do that whole like where you're twisting. Oh, that's the best.
- 19:05Speaker 5: Cracking your back.
- 19:07Speaker 11: How long are you on the floor?
- 19:08Speaker 3: Doing the whole thing.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Oh, a half hour. Like if the TV's on, everybody's
- 19:11Speaker 5: sitting there watching. Eventually it's like, all right, it gets old.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it hurts.
- 19:14Speaker 9: And then you got to try to get up.
- 19:15Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 19:17Speaker 5: So love floor time. Hate potlucks.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know why.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Hate potlucks.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I mean, I know you're suspicious of them.
- 19:24Speaker 9: Well, especially the ones at the office. I trust the
- 19:27Speaker 9: family ones more than I trust the office ones.
- 19:29Speaker 11: The randos.
- 19:30Speaker 5: The office ones, man.
- 19:31Speaker 9: You know these people that you work with. Like some
- 19:33Speaker 9: of these people are crazy.
- 19:34Speaker 11: Licking spoons.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Yeah, some of these people that we work with are gross.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Some of these people, they can't be trusted. They're pigs.
- 19:39Speaker 5: I see the way we have a brand new restroom
- 19:43Speaker 5: here at the radio station. They just remodeled it.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Brand new.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Already with like giant puddles of pee on the floor.
- 19:48Speaker 3: God.
- 19:50Speaker 5: A couple hours of the whole thing, even opening up,
- 19:52Speaker 5: there's already a paper towel on the floor.
- 19:55Speaker 6: Oh yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Water everywhere.
- 19:56Speaker 5: You saw that the paper towel didn't make it into
- 19:59Speaker 5: the trash can and you just walked out and left
- 20:00Speaker 5: it there.
- 20:01Speaker 9: We do work with the last, the last thing I'm
- 20:03Speaker 9: gonna do is I'm gonna trust anything they brought in
- 20:05Speaker 9: that they made at home.
- 20:07Speaker 5: For everybody to eat.
- 20:07Speaker 3: This bathroom that is five minutes old has a stainless
- 20:10Speaker 3: steel divider between the two urinals. And this morning I
- 20:13Speaker 3: looked at that divider and it looks like somebody took
- 20:16Speaker 3: olive oil and just flung it.
- 20:17Speaker 5: All over it. What?
- 20:18Speaker 10: It looks like it was involved in a crime scene.
- 20:20Speaker 10: It was also, yeah, covered in blood because I think
- 20:22Speaker 10: somebody cut themselves on it.
- 20:23Speaker 11: You guys are vile.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, like, oh, we're doing this thing tomorrow.
- 20:28Speaker 5: I've got to bring something in. Oh, okay, well, here, sweetie,
- 20:31Speaker 5: you can help me. And the little three-year-old daughter's helping
- 20:34Speaker 5: with her booger fingers.
- 20:35Speaker 11: Yeah, putting her hands in the macaroni salad.
- 20:37Speaker 5: You work with people who have cats who let them
- 20:39Speaker 5: walk on the kitchen counters.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Like.
- 20:42Speaker 8: No, dude.
- 20:43Speaker 2: No.
- 20:44Speaker 9: Anyway, so 19 Walmart workers in Tennessee ended up in
- 20:47Speaker 9: the hospital. Dozens more are sick at home after a
- 20:50Speaker 9: staff potluck turned into food poisoning. 80 people got sick
- 20:56Speaker 9: because of someone's homemade rice that was in the potluck.
- 21:00Speaker 9: So the first responders said the employees, they were thrown
- 21:02Speaker 9: up for about 15 minutes straight. The Tennessee Department of Health,
- 21:06Speaker 9: they're on the case. Walmart says none of their own
- 21:08Speaker 9: food products. were used in the person's casserole that they
- 21:12Speaker 9: brought in.
- 21:14Speaker 11: Don't misuse the casserole.
- 21:15Speaker 5: It was a casserole. That's what I've been saying, dog.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I like how they have to say it. There's no
- 21:21Speaker 5: risk to the public. It's an office potluck.
- 21:25Speaker 9: I hate potluck.
- 21:26Speaker 10: They had to probably call in reserves workers for that
- 21:30Speaker 10: Walmart location and took out the whole location. Have you
- 21:33Speaker 10: ever had that happen to.
- 21:34Speaker 3: You at a job where- Where so many people are out?
- 21:36Speaker 10: Well, yeah, there's like a location that needs help. Like
- 21:39Speaker 10: that happened to me when I worked at Little Caesars.
- 21:41Speaker 10: There was like a power outage somewhere and they were
- 21:44Speaker 10: getting so many orders that they had to.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Call in reserve workers. They had to mobilize. Yeah, so
- 21:49Speaker 5: I had to go there.
- 21:50Speaker 10: And then when I worked for the grocery store, there
- 21:51Speaker 10: was something with one of the holidays, they were just
- 21:53Speaker 10: like so understaffed. So they had to send more people over.
- 21:56Speaker 10: It was pretty cool.
- 21:57Speaker 5: They're like, yeah, I'm from.
- 21:59Speaker 3: I'm from a different division.
- 22:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm from location 108.
- 22:02Speaker 9: This text just came in. I don't do workplace potluck
- 22:06Speaker 9: or buffets. I don't know what these people's effing houses
- 22:09Speaker 9: look like. I've worked in the pest control industry. I've
- 22:13Speaker 9: seen what a house and what most buffet-type restaurants look like,
- 22:16Speaker 9: and nobody wants that. If you saw it, you would
- 22:20Speaker 9: need therapy.
- 22:21Speaker 11: I like staying dumb. I love buffets.
- 22:22Speaker 5: A Vegas buffet?
- 22:24Speaker 3: I'm still going. How hyperbolic is it that they sent
- 22:27Speaker 3: first responders for food poisoning? What the hell are they
- 22:30Speaker 3: going to do? I guess if everybody just starts throwing up, like,
- 22:32Speaker 3: what the hell is going on?
- 22:33Speaker 5: Is there something? Is there some kind of leak?
- 22:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and you can give them IVs. Maybe they're getting
- 22:36Speaker 4: dehydrated if they're all vomiting and stuff, right?
- 22:39Speaker 3: A bunch of babies.
- 22:41Speaker 5: You want to play a game?
- 22:42Speaker 11: Yes.
- 22:43Speaker 5: How many out of.
- 22:45Speaker 9: These, let's see, out of these 12 do I like?
- 22:49Speaker 6: Oh.
- 22:50Speaker 5: This is the worst old people Halloween candies.
- 22:53Speaker 11: Oh, here we go.
- 22:55Speaker 5: You guys always get on me.
- 22:55Speaker 3: You like all of them.
- 22:56Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Not all of them. 100%.
- 22:57Speaker 11: All right, yeah.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Well, this puts down 12.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Which one do you hate? None of them.
- 23:01Speaker 5: I'm not going to give you the answer because we're
- 23:03Speaker 5: going through. There's a list of 12. There's a list
- 23:05Speaker 5: of 12 old people Halloween candies.
- 23:08Speaker 10: All right, I'm putting my answer down.
- 23:09Speaker 5: And I will list them all. You guys make your
- 23:10Speaker 5: little notes, okay?
- 23:11Speaker 9: And then we'll see how many out of 12 do
- 23:15Speaker 9: I actually like.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 3: All right.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Werther's Original. Number one.
- 23:23Speaker 9: Laffy Taffy is number two. Milk Duds is three. Worst
- 23:31Speaker 9: old people Halloween candies. How many out of these 12
- 23:34Speaker 9: do I like? Cinnamon Discs or Jawbreakers.
- 23:39Speaker 11: Cinnamon Discs?
- 23:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 5: You've seen those before.
- 23:42Speaker 11: Maybe I've never seen them called Jawbreakers.
- 23:44Speaker 3: They look like Jawbreakers are just the big. Ball? Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 9: And then the discs are like the ones. What do
- 23:49Speaker 9: they call those?
- 23:50Speaker 3: Those like.
- 23:50Speaker 9: I haven't heard of a cinnamon disc.
- 23:52Speaker 3: That doesn't sound familiar.
- 23:53Speaker 5: They're kind of like those white and red candies that
- 23:56Speaker 5: you see at restaurants.
- 23:56Speaker 11: Oh, but cinnamon flavor?
- 23:58Speaker 5: Yeah, but cinnamon flavor.
- 23:59Speaker 3: What's that brand? Brock's or something like that? Oh, okay.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Brock's makes a lot of this stuff.
- 24:04Speaker 3: That is so old-timey. All right.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Number five, butterscotch.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Ow.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Number six, starburst.
- 24:12Speaker 11: That's old-timey?
- 24:13Speaker 6: Yep.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Jeez.
- 24:15Speaker 9: Number seven, Smarties. Becoming a little roll.
- 24:19Speaker 13: Oh, yeah.
- 24:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:20Speaker 9: Number eight, Root Beer Barrels.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Okay. Little root beer hard candies.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I love those.
- 24:26Speaker 3: You've seen those?
- 24:27Speaker 9: Nine, Candy Corn. Number 10, Tootsie Rolls. I'm sorry, there
- 24:37Speaker 9: was 10.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Okay. So of those, which do you like? No, out
- 24:42Speaker 5: of 10, how many out of the 10? Just total
- 24:44Speaker 5: them up.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:46Speaker 9: How many out of 10?
- 24:47Speaker 5: Got it. Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Okay. What would you say, Greg? I would say eight,
- 24:55Speaker 3: and I know which one. Yes. All right.
- 24:56Speaker 8: Eight.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Seven.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Seven. I also put eight.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Eight.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Sammy?
- 25:01Speaker 3: Nine.
- 25:01Speaker 8: Nine.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Nine.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Can I tell you the ones I think you don't like?
- 25:05Speaker 5: The answer is seven. Oh, yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 11: I wonder if they're the right ones.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I like seven out of ten.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Can I guess the ones that you don't like?
- 25:14Speaker 5: Werther's Original, yes or no?
- 25:16Speaker 11: Yes.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Resounding yes.
- 25:18Speaker 9: Love Werther's Original.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Those are good.
- 25:20Speaker 9: Our friend Tony the Whipping Boy, he keeps a bowl
- 25:22Speaker 9: of those next to his recliner in his living room, Greg.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Wow.
- 25:26Speaker 9: He loves those.
- 25:27Speaker 3: And I agree. Those are good.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he is.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Laffy Taffy, yes or no?
- 25:31Speaker 11: No.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I put yes.
- 25:33Speaker 11: I put no.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I hate Laffy Taffy.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yes!
- 25:36Speaker 3: Hate it.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Only saltwater taffy for you?
- 25:38Speaker 8: Ugh.
- 25:38Speaker 11: Yeah, Laffy Taffy sucked.
- 25:39Speaker 5: I thought it was basically the same thing.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I thought it was the same thing.
- 25:42Speaker 8: Similar.
- 25:42Speaker 11: No, it was like those long, ribbon-y taffies.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Three.
- 25:45Speaker 5: Milk duds. I put that under probably doesn't like.
- 25:48Speaker 11: I put no.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I put yes.
- 25:49Speaker 8: No?
- 25:49Speaker 6: No.
- 25:51Speaker 3: F milk duds.
- 25:52Speaker 11: Yes!
- 25:53Speaker 5: Those are filling removers, man.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Do you like them?
- 25:56Speaker 9: I don't dislike the taste so much, but it's too.
- 25:59Speaker 11: Too hard to eat.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't like it.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I get them mixed up with Whoppers. Those are the.
- 26:03Speaker 9: Whoppers are malted milk balls. Those I do like, yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 8: I like those too.
- 26:07Speaker 9: God, I love Whoppers. Whoppers are good.
- 26:09Speaker 3: They're weird, but good.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Circus Peanuts didn't make the list.
- 26:13Speaker 13: Because nobody likes us but you.
- 26:15Speaker 9: I didn't come up with a list. Literally, there was
- 26:17Speaker 9: a list of worst old people Halloween candies, and it
- 26:19Speaker 9: wasn't on there. But yeah, I do like Circus Peanuts.
- 26:24Speaker 3: The Cinnamon Discs Jawbreakers.
- 26:26Speaker 10: That's the other one I put that you didn't like.
- 26:28Speaker 10: I put no.
- 26:31Speaker 5: That's a gnaw dog.
- 26:33Speaker 7: Gross.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Everything else I put you like. Correct.
- 26:36Speaker 6: Same.
- 26:37Speaker 3: All right.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Butterscotch.
- 26:39Speaker 8: Oh, hell yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Resounding yes.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Yes.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Starburst?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I put yes.
- 26:43Speaker 9: I'm very much on the fence with Starburst.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Really?
- 26:46Speaker 9: Yeah, but I would lean more yes than no.
- 26:48Speaker 11: It depends on the color.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:50Speaker 9: It would never be my choice. I would never be like, ooh,
- 26:52Speaker 9: I'm going to get this. But if they're sitting, there's
- 26:55Speaker 9: been a bag of Starburst sitting here, and I'll grab
- 26:58Speaker 9: some and I'll have some.
- 26:59Speaker 14: Is it the getting stuck in your teeth like Milk
- 27:00Speaker 14: Duds that you don't like about it, or is it
- 27:02Speaker 14: the flavor itself?
- 27:03Speaker 5: You know, they just don't thrill me. I don't know.
- 27:06Speaker 9: I don't get excited about them. I can take them
- 27:09Speaker 9: or leave them, but I lean more yes.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Smarties.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:13Speaker 5: I like Smarties a lot. Root Beer Barrel.
- 27:16Speaker 6: Yes.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:17Speaker 11: Those are so good.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Those are so good.
- 27:20Speaker 9: You know, my wife, speaking of the cinnamon stuff, she
- 27:22Speaker 9: likes those cinnamon bears.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Have you seen those? They're like gummies.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Gummies?
- 27:26Speaker 5: Yeah, but they're like these big, giant gummy bears, but
- 27:28Speaker 5: they're not quite as.
- 27:34Speaker 9: Chewy, but they're not quite as rubbery as a gummy bear.
- 27:40Speaker 10: Is it kind of like a hot tamale?
- 27:41Speaker 9: No, they're just bigger and softer. It's almost like a
- 27:47Speaker 9: stale marshmallow consistency.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I just looked them up, but I've never seen this.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Cinnamon bears, yeah.
- 27:52Speaker 9: You get them at the places where you can get
- 27:53Speaker 9: a bag and you put whatever candy, like loose candy,
- 27:56Speaker 9: you put them in a bag and they scale.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Like a bin.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 9: Candy corn, everybody knows. Man, I love candy corn. And
- 28:05Speaker 9: then Tootsie Rolls.
- 28:06Speaker 5: I said yes. I love Tootsie Rolls.
- 28:09Speaker 10: In the trash candy list, what is your top three
- 28:13Speaker 10: power rankings?
- 28:16Speaker 9: Do I get to put Circus Peanuts in there?
- 28:20Speaker 5: Or just the one?
- 28:21Speaker 9: Let's see. The top three, I would put Candy Corn
- 28:26Speaker 9: number one. Love Candy Corn.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Uh, let's go, hmm. Let's go Tootsie Rolls number two.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Really?
- 28:36Speaker 10: Yep.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Oh, God. And then.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Then I think you're going Werther's.
- 28:40Speaker 5: Werther's original. Werther's. It's really between, like, Werther's and the
- 28:45Speaker 5: root beer barrels.
- 28:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:47Speaker 3: What do you mean, ah, God?
- 28:49Speaker 4: So old-timey.
- 28:50Speaker 3: So bad.
- 28:52Speaker 5: What's bad?
- 28:52Speaker 3: Well, Werther's rules.
- 28:53Speaker 10: Just the taste of all that.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Candy corn is okay.
- 28:56Speaker 5: People don't like Werther's. If you don't like butterscotch, but
- 29:01Speaker 5: people go, they don't like butterscotch because it's an old people.
- 29:05Speaker 5: They associate it with old people. If you don't like
- 29:08Speaker 5: it because it's delicious.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Wait, I thought Werther's was caramel.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Caramel.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Where's this caramel?
- 29:13Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, and then there's butterscotch.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Butterscotch.
- 29:15Speaker 13: Well, I'd like to say I don't know everything about you,
- 29:17Speaker 13: but apparently I really know your candy preferences.
- 29:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 11: Because I got 100%.
- 29:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 3: So good.
- 29:23Speaker 9: I'll take all your... Garbage candy. Yeah, the garbage Halloween candy.
- 29:27Speaker 9: If you get that, send it here.
- 29:28Speaker 3: I'll take it. What about at Christmastime, candy canes?
- 29:31Speaker 5: Who likes that?
- 29:32Speaker 3: That's such a waste.
- 29:33Speaker 9: Such a waste.
- 29:34Speaker 3: All you do is you.
- 29:35Speaker 13: And I'm sure Sam will agree, you garnish your hot
- 29:37Speaker 13: chocolate with it.
- 29:38Speaker 11: And for decoration, you.
- 29:40Speaker 14: Get one of those clear glass little trees, right, where
- 29:43Speaker 14: the top comes off, and then you fill the candy
- 29:45Speaker 14: canes all the way around for decoration.
- 29:47Speaker 3: It's super cute. But what about eating them? Gross.
- 29:49Speaker 13: Or the multi-flavored, like the blue stripe.
- 29:52Speaker 5: No, thank you. Candy canes, no thank you.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Here, look.
- 29:55Speaker 9: Hell yeah, I completely agree with Woody's top three, plus
- 29:57Speaker 9: circus peanuts.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Yeah. All right, so I have the team here that
- 30:08Speaker 5: went and saw Street Fighter, you know, Menace's birthday month,
- 30:11Speaker 5: the screening of Street Fighter. You know, Menace has this
- 30:15Speaker 5: whole list of things that he wants to do for
- 30:18Speaker 5: his birthday month.
- 30:20Speaker 3: So how was it?
- 30:21Speaker 10: Well, I personally didn't go because, you know, my dog
- 30:24Speaker 10: passed away, so we'll deal with that with the family
- 30:27Speaker 10: and stuff.
- 30:27Speaker 5: But.
- 30:29Speaker 10: Menji was nice enough to handle the screening for me
- 30:32Speaker 10: with the listeners and distribute the tickets.
- 30:34Speaker 5: And I know Vaughn went as well.
- 30:36Speaker 10: And I heard it was good.
- 30:39Speaker 3: It was great.
- 30:40Speaker 8: It was super funny, super campy. Yeah, just a lot
- 30:44Speaker 8: of fun.
- 30:45Speaker 5: What did you think, Vaughn? Yeah, super fun movie.
- 30:48Speaker 3: How high were you?
- 30:49Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 9: Like, before you went in, how are you? I.
- 30:51Speaker 12: You know, took a little trek home to partake in
- 30:54Speaker 12: the Devil's List.
- 30:55Speaker 10: Oh, you had to go home first?
- 30:57Speaker 11: Damn.
- 30:57Speaker 9: Because, man, the other day, I walk into the office,
- 31:01Speaker 9: I left something in the office, and Vaughn wasn't even
- 31:04Speaker 9: in the office.
- 31:05Speaker 3: And there was residual?
- 31:07Speaker 5: Residual.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Cloud.
- 31:09Speaker 9: Dude, I could have gotten high just.
- 31:12Speaker 5: Hanging out in the office. It was so heavy. It
- 31:14Speaker 5: hung so heavy in the office.
- 31:17Speaker 9: I'm like, damn.
- 31:18Speaker 5: Because he wasn't even smoking in the office. This is
- 31:20Speaker 5: what he does in the garage before he comes up.
- 31:23Speaker 5: So you must have been lit. Oh, yeah, I was
- 31:25Speaker 5: done lit.
- 31:26Speaker 11: Just in essence as he walks around now.
- 31:28Speaker 5: The visuals must have been awesome, too. Yeah. All right,
- 31:32Speaker 5: so one guy's high. Were you high at all, Menji?
- 31:34Speaker 8: I was not high.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Not high, okay.
- 31:36Speaker 5: We have both perspectives. That's what I'm saying. We have
- 31:38Speaker 5: both perspectives.
- 31:39Speaker 10: And I heard a listener shared a lovely story with you.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Oh, yes.
- 31:43Speaker 8: One listener stuck by was talking to us, and she was... Stuck?
- 31:47Speaker 9: That doesn't sound nice.
- 31:47Speaker 5: That sounds really kind of rude, yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sorry. I was stuck?
- 31:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 8: You've got to be. Got to be around us. It
- 31:54Speaker 8: was talking with us, interacting, and she told me this story.
- 31:58Speaker 8: She went to the very first Disney takeover, and she
- 32:03Speaker 8: mentioned just out of the blue, unprompted, that was the
- 32:06Speaker 8: day that her son was conceived. Oh.
- 32:10Speaker 9: The day of the Woody Show takeover?
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:13Speaker 11: On one of the rides?
- 32:13Speaker 8: She said that her and her husband were. They've been
- 32:15Speaker 8: trying for years, but it was on that day.
- 32:18Speaker 9: It was the magic of that day.
- 32:19Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure. It was magical.
- 32:21Speaker 9: So what happens when they're at the screening of Street Fighter?
- 32:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 8: Maybe son number two?
- 32:27Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe.
- 32:28Speaker 8: I did not sit near them, so I'm not sure.
- 32:31Speaker 5: So you thought it was fun.
- 32:33Speaker 8: Super campy. Super fun.
- 32:37Speaker 9: On a scale of one to ten, what are you
- 32:38Speaker 9: giving it?
- 32:39Speaker 8: I would give it probably a seven.
- 32:41Speaker 1: A seven.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Really nice.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Really good. All right.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Now, Vaughn, who is super high, what did you think
- 32:47Speaker 5: and what are you giving it?
- 32:47Speaker 12: Yeah, I will say it was super cool. It was
- 32:49Speaker 12: a different kind of format for a movie. It was
- 32:51Speaker 12: like three screens.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Oh.
- 32:53Speaker 5: So with the main screen in front and it was
- 32:54Speaker 5: two screens on the side.
- 32:56Speaker 11: Like a game kind of.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Like a game kind of, yeah.
- 32:57Speaker 12: So for different animated scenes, they had that where the
- 33:00Speaker 12: entire movie theater would light up with all the scenes
- 33:02Speaker 12: and everything.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 33:03Speaker 12: But that's not every, that was a special screen. For
- 33:05Speaker 12: special screens, for different parts of it, yeah. So that
- 33:08Speaker 12: was dope. Chun-Li is beautifully amazing. So she pushes it
- 33:12Speaker 12: up like two more.
- 33:15Speaker 8: I guess she's hot. First time she comes on screen.
- 33:18Speaker 8: Vaughn is seated like way above on top of the,
- 33:21Speaker 8: and I'm closer to the screen. And I just hear,
- 33:24Speaker 8: the moment she walks on screen, Vaughn, What are.
- 33:28Speaker 5: You doing back there?
- 33:29Speaker 9: Vonn needs to get laid.
- 33:32Speaker 5: Oh man, she is a beauty. So for her, I'll
- 33:37Speaker 5: give it a 8.6.
- 33:38Speaker 9: She's getting that excited by just somebody walking on screen.
- 33:42Speaker 9: Have you seen her thighs?
- 33:45Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 33:46Speaker 11: This poor guy. She wants to do a choke hold
- 33:49Speaker 11: on you?
- 33:49Speaker 6: Yes, please.
- 33:50Speaker 9: You're not dating anybody right now, are you?
- 33:51Speaker 8: I'm not.
- 33:52Speaker 3: No, I'm totally single.
- 33:53Speaker 5: So how long has it been? Uh, since the Smash session?
- 33:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Uh, about a month or so.
- 33:59Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 33:59Speaker 11: That's not too bad.
- 34:00Speaker 8: You're fine.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I'll be out tonight.
- 34:01Speaker 9: That's not too bad. I'm just getting that excited about
- 34:04Speaker 9: just some chick walking on screen.
- 34:06Speaker 3: But she's the ultimate?
- 34:07Speaker 9: That sounds like a guy who's like in a dry spell.
- 34:10Speaker 5: It's the thighs, bro.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:11Speaker 7: All right.
- 34:12Speaker 11: He wants to be squeezed to death with those thighs.
- 34:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 3: All right.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Well, uh, still working on the extreme weekend trip to
- 34:19Speaker 5: London for the Raising Canes.
- 34:20Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Uh, the surfing thing is going to happen.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 34:25Speaker 10: We just had to reschedule because of weather. That's going
- 34:27Speaker 10: to happen for sure.
- 34:28Speaker 9: Mark the street fighter thing off. So number eight's done.
- 34:30Speaker 9: Number 11's done with the two 98-inch televisions. By the way,
- 34:33Speaker 9: you still have a chance to sign up and win
- 34:35Speaker 9: that 98-inch TCL television, TCL, the official TV of the NFL.
- 34:40Speaker 9: That's on our Instagram, at The Woody Show.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Right now.
- 34:44Speaker 9: You can sign up for that. I think almost everything
- 34:46Speaker 9: else on here is kind of dead, right?
- 34:48Speaker 5: No, not at all. I haven't heard anything about any
- 34:51Speaker 5: of the other things. Well, Dr. Dubrow is a lock. Okay,
- 34:55Speaker 5: that's the other one.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 5: Yeah, we're waiting on the date on that one. But like, okay,
- 34:58Speaker 5: so then everything else is kind of dead.
- 35:00Speaker 10: Yeah, I think we could probably pull off the Lucas
- 35:03Speaker 10: Museum like field trip thing.
- 35:04Speaker 3: We could probably get that done.
- 35:06Speaker 5: But nothing on the Goodyear blimp. Nothing on the Goodyear blimp.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Nothing on standing on top of the sphere.
- 35:10Speaker 10: Nothing on that yet. And then the Apple TV tour.
- 35:15Speaker 10: nothing yet on that but uh we're not very well
- 35:18Speaker 10: connected you guys i'm just saying.
- 35:19Speaker 5: No not at all because some of the stuff you're
- 35:21Speaker 5: thinking like oh yeah somebody would definitely reach out right
- 35:24Speaker 5: no no it's fine we're not that popular it's fine
- 35:27Speaker 5: the paycheck clears that's all that matters exactly right yeah but.
- 35:31Speaker 10: What about the incredibles house the incredibles house nothing but
- 35:35Speaker 10: the uh the f1 race is definitely happening Going to
- 35:39Speaker 10: go to the Austin race.
- 35:41Speaker 9: So just take a look at the list. If there's
- 35:42Speaker 9: anything on there that anybody listening thinks that they can
- 35:45Speaker 9: help with.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Great.
- 35:47Speaker 9: Just tip Menace up. He's keeping track of all that stuff, obviously.
- 35:51Speaker 9: We'll give you the details as we get them for
- 35:54Speaker 9: how you can win the Extreme Weekend trip to London
- 35:57Speaker 9: for raising canes and some of the other stuff for
- 36:00Speaker 9: Menace's birthday month.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Oh, there you go.
- 36:03Speaker 9: Another thing crossed off the list.
- 36:05Speaker 5: Yep.
- 36:05Speaker 3: More Woody shows next.
- 36:06Speaker 5: Hang on. The Woody Show.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Be back in a bit. I'll take my shirt off.
- 36:12Speaker 3: You take your shirt off.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Let's skin this. All right.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Well, it is Friday. Welcome to it. Thank you for
- 36:24Speaker 5: being here, giving us some of your valuable time today. Woody, Greg, Menace,
- 36:29Speaker 5: Gina Grad, and time, ladies and gentlemen, for your Friday
- 36:33Speaker 5: Fail Stories.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 37:20Speaker 5: All right, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it is
- 37:23Speaker 5: time for your Friday Fail Story.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Obviously, we thought they had the perfect plan, the plan
- 37:31Speaker 5: that could never go wrong. But then somewhere along the line,
- 37:33Speaker 5: it went from being a great idea to one big
- 37:37Speaker 5: stinking mega Uber ultra. Yeah, that's all right.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it works.
- 37:58Speaker 5: Look, did it get the job done?
- 37:59Speaker 11: I mean, I felt the passion behind it.
- 38:00Speaker 9: We're going to start with this one from Pennsylvania. 39-year-old
- 38:04Speaker 9: Broad tried to fake her own death to dodge charges
- 38:08Speaker 9: over some fraudulent GoFundMe campaigns that.
- 38:10Speaker 3: She had set up. What a dummy.
- 38:13Speaker 5: So she made up a story about how her son
- 38:14Speaker 5: got injured and later died.
- 38:16Speaker 7: Hmm.
- 38:17Speaker 9: Her name is Jennifer, and she had sent a fake
- 38:20Speaker 9: obituary to the public defender's office pretending to be her
- 38:23Speaker 9: own sister, claiming that she had died back on June 1st.
- 38:27Speaker 9: She also provided some fake cancer treatment records and all that.
- 38:31Speaker 9: So detectives, they followed up on all that and along
- 38:33Speaker 9: some of these other GoFundMe things, the thing about her
- 38:35Speaker 9: son and all that kind of stuff. And, you know,
- 38:37Speaker 9: now she's in jail facing forgery and identity theft felonies. Like, dude,
- 38:42Speaker 9: you know your scam is bad when dying sounds easier
- 38:47Speaker 9: than the court date.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 38:49Speaker 9: Like, what are you doing?
- 38:51Speaker 3: Dude.
- 38:53Speaker 9: This one is from Connecticut, where this 27-year-old broad named
- 38:57Speaker 9: Cynthia Martinez was arrested for unlawful discharge of a firearm
- 39:01Speaker 9: after she shot and killed a guy. Investigators, they were
- 39:05Speaker 9: sorting out all the details, but they weren't sure if
- 39:07Speaker 9: the murder charges were going to stick. But one very
- 39:09Speaker 9: key piece of evidence stood out to them. They got
- 39:12Speaker 9: a hold of the woman's phone records, and on the
- 39:15Speaker 9: day in question, she had Googled, does God forgive murderers?
- 39:19Speaker 2: Oh.
- 39:20Speaker 11: Oh, my God.
- 39:20Speaker 9: And so they're like, this will work.
- 39:22Speaker 3: So she considers herself one.
- 39:23Speaker 9: She was charged with premeditated first degree murder and will
- 39:27Speaker 9: most likely be spending the rest of her.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Life in a failed jail.
- 39:32Speaker 9: And let's talk influencers. Here's one where you've got a
- 39:36Speaker 9: group of scientists now and marine biologists having to issue
- 39:39Speaker 9: new warnings for all the influencers out there to stop
- 39:44Speaker 9: trying to take pictures of sharks. in less than a year,
- 39:47Speaker 9: there have been at least three influencers getting bit by sharks,
- 39:51Speaker 9: all because they decided to get too close, you know, trying.
- 39:53Speaker 5: To touch them.
- 39:54Speaker 8: Yeah, but they look cool.
- 39:55Speaker 9: And in one instance, this one influencer was trying to
- 39:57Speaker 9: ride the shark, and guess what happened?
- 39:59Speaker 3: Got bit. No way.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 6: Fail.
- 40:02Speaker 5: So, you know, if you see one, just.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Back away, man.
- 40:06Speaker 11: Or don't. Like, what do I care?
- 40:08Speaker 5: Leave him alone.
- 40:08Speaker 11: Get bit.
- 40:09Speaker 5: We got AI, guys. Leave him alone. This 10-foot great
- 40:13Speaker 5: white shark, did you see that?
- 40:14Speaker 3: No. Swimming off of Huntington Beach. Oh, okay.
- 40:18Speaker 9: I did hear about that. Yeah, about like 90 yards
- 40:20Speaker 9: off the beach.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Oh, this is the one that they put in headlines
- 40:23Speaker 3: as aggressive as opposed to the cuddly ones.
- 40:27Speaker 9: I guess because it was circling. They said it was
- 40:29Speaker 9: aggressive circling behavior.
- 40:31Speaker 10: Yeah, the headline I saw, mean shark lookout.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:34Speaker 9: They were running drones and, you know, rescue boats, you know,
- 40:38Speaker 9: just looking for this thing. Never got an independent sighting
- 40:41Speaker 9: of it, but just as a precaution, they kind of
- 40:43Speaker 9: shut it down. But they're saying it's the El Nino,
- 40:46Speaker 9: the crazy warm waters that are pulling more shark toward
- 40:49Speaker 9: the shore.
- 40:49Speaker 3: And it made it upset. Yeah, it made it aggressive.
- 40:53Speaker 10: The weather makes Greg upset all the time.
- 40:55Speaker 9: They're just getting closer to shore.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:59Speaker 9: CSU Long Beach's Shark Lab has seen double the usual
- 41:02Speaker 9: white shark activity in in this year's warm waters.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I find great white sharks fascinating, but at the same token,
- 41:09Speaker 3: I don't find it fascinating that they're in the ocean.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Like when they say, where would you like the great
- 41:13Speaker 3: white spotted in the ocean? Well, where else would it be?
- 41:17Speaker 8: Oh, that's true.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:19Speaker 5: This next one is from England where this dude was
- 41:21Speaker 5: at Yosemite. I'm not Yosemite.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 41:23Speaker 9: Yorkshire wildlife park. And he thought to himself, you know,
- 41:26Speaker 9: it'd be a good idea. Let's climb over this barrier
- 41:30Speaker 9: and get into the tiger enclosure.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. That always goes well.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Witnesses say he was in there dancing. He had headphones on.
- 41:36Speaker 5: He asked a stranger, hey, can you photograph me with
- 41:38Speaker 5: the tiger in the background? You know who wasn't feeling it?
- 41:41Speaker 5: The tiger.
- 41:42Speaker 11: The tiger.
- 41:43Speaker 5: It attacked him.
- 41:43Speaker 3: It mauled him to death.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:46Speaker 5: And good news, Greg.
- 41:47Speaker 9: The park says the tiger will not be euthanized.
- 41:49Speaker 12: Good.
- 41:49Speaker 3: It should not be.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Tiger.
- 41:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 41:51Speaker 5: You went into the enclosure.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Of course.
- 41:54Speaker 3: They're not going to harambe it. Yeah.
- 41:56Speaker 9: It's not like the tiger crawled out of the enclosure.
- 41:59Speaker 11: Yeah, and attacked a guy who's dancing.
- 42:00Speaker 5: Yeah, to go get people.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Now, did you see the video? They don't have the
- 42:03Speaker 3: entire video, but they have a portion of it when
- 42:06Speaker 3: the tiger makes contact with this guy. Yeah.
- 42:08Speaker 1: And he.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Looks like he's trying to scold it. Yeah, point at it.
- 42:12Speaker 11: Oh my God. He's like a cat.
- 42:14Speaker 9: Yeah, it's like, what's his face in Jurassic Park where
- 42:17Speaker 9: he's doing like the- Oh yeah, he magically- Because that's how.
- 42:19Speaker 3: It would work.
- 42:20Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, the tiger did listen for a second.
- 42:24Speaker 3: It did kind of work for a second.
- 42:26Speaker 5: It was probably just trying to decide where he was
- 42:28Speaker 5: going to bite him first.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Right. Like, should I swat his finger or his leg? Yeah.
- 42:31Speaker 10: And then the tiger was like, you want to see
- 42:33Speaker 10: a cool video?
- 42:34Speaker 5: Let's make one.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 42:35Speaker 5: And here we go.
- 42:36Speaker 9: This is one of the better stories because you would
- 42:39Speaker 9: think by now people would know that this is just
- 42:42Speaker 9: not a good idea. This is another warning to Greg. Oh,
- 42:44Speaker 9: this guy was in Bali and he saw a spider
- 42:47Speaker 9: and he tried to get rid of it by lighting
- 42:50Speaker 9: a piece of paper on fire. And his hope was
- 42:54Speaker 9: to scare the spider away.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Oh.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:57Speaker 5: I'm going to scare this spider.
- 42:59Speaker 3: I mean, they don't like fire.
- 43:00Speaker 9: Now, what he actually did was set the villa that
- 43:02Speaker 9: he was staying in on fire.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 43:04Speaker 9: Because the wind carried the burning paper onto the villa's
- 43:07Speaker 9: grass roof. And then the whole place just went up
- 43:09Speaker 9: in minutes. Now, nobody was hurt, but the villa was
- 43:12Speaker 9: a total loss. He's in a bunch of trouble, legal, financial,
- 43:15Speaker 9: and otherwise. He's on the hook for... now having to
- 43:18Speaker 9: rebuild this villa.
- 43:19Speaker 11: But Greg would do the same thing if you saw Spire.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Fail.
- 43:21Speaker 11: Just burn your house down.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Yeah, or just move.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Just leave.
- 43:24Speaker 3: And there you go.
- 43:25Speaker 9: There's your Friday fail stories, everybody.
- 43:28Speaker 1: All right.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Welcome back.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Got some other influencer stuff. Other influencers in the news.
- 43:48Speaker 5: This one's a plus-sized and clueless influencer. It's influencing you
- 43:54Speaker 5: to be plus-sized?
- 43:55Speaker 9: Her name is Gracie Vaughn, and she's getting roasted online
- 44:00Speaker 9: because she posted some glamour shots of herself posing in
- 44:04Speaker 9: the rubble of the earthquake in Panama.
- 44:08Speaker 5: Morgan, I met her.
- 44:09Speaker 1: You did?
- 44:11Speaker 10: Oh, kind of, yeah, at the Power Stop event.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Cool.
- 44:14Speaker 3: To say she's plus size is an understatement.
- 44:17Speaker 5: She's a mutant.
- 44:18Speaker 11: Oh, my God.
- 44:19Speaker 10: It's the lower half of her body.
- 44:21Speaker 9: So she posed in this tight white shirt and jeans,
- 44:25Speaker 9: crouching beside these collapsed houses, and the internet's just going
- 44:29Speaker 9: in on her. Her defense is that she was trying
- 44:32Speaker 9: to raise awareness and help families rebuild.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Raise awareness of the earthquake?
- 44:36Speaker 9: By taking a glamour shot in front of some earthquake rubble.
- 44:41Speaker 9: And she did a post where she was carrying a
- 44:44Speaker 9: case of water to victims.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 44:46Speaker 5: Okay.
- 44:47Speaker 11: I mean, we need to see that.
- 44:48Speaker 10: I'm not defending her in the photos or any way,
- 44:50Speaker 10: but she was doing more than that, to be fair.
- 44:53Speaker 5: I'm not going to be fair to her now.
- 44:55Speaker 9: Like such as?
- 44:57Speaker 10: It was more than just water. It was like a
- 45:00Speaker 10: large amount of supplies that she was giving out to
- 45:02Speaker 10: people at the earthquake site, wherever she was taking the photos.
- 45:08Speaker 9: I'm reminded of when there were the big fires in
- 45:12Speaker 9: LA and there was somebody that we work with that
- 45:17Speaker 9: wanted to make it look like they were doing more
- 45:19Speaker 9: than what they were doing.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Oh, yes.
- 45:20Speaker 9: And they brought the social media department from the station
- 45:25Speaker 9: down to the parking garage where he was carrying a
- 45:28Speaker 9: big empty cardboard box and loading it into a van
- 45:33Speaker 9: and That was going to be going to, you know,
- 45:36Speaker 9: one of the, you know, where they're collecting for supplies
- 45:39Speaker 9: and things like that. And it was like, all right,
- 45:41Speaker 9: you got it.
- 45:42Speaker 5: All right, here we go. And they did it like
- 45:43Speaker 5: four or five times. Then they went down to the.
- 45:46Speaker 9: Actual place and this person was coordinating, getting a shot
- 45:50Speaker 9: of them coming out of their vehicle.
- 45:53Speaker 5: Taking that same empty box. It's an empty box.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Oh.
- 45:56Speaker 9: And then carrying it over to another location. At that point,
- 45:58Speaker 9: they got the shot. That person got back in their
- 46:00Speaker 9: car and then just went home. Didn't do anything at
- 46:03Speaker 9: the actual place. That's a literal parody. Like if SNL
- 46:06Speaker 9: wrote a parody of a celebrity. That person will remain nameless.
- 46:10Speaker 9: That is just disgusting. I'm getting same type of vibes on.
- 46:13Speaker 5: Well, she actually had supplies. Why are you taking... Her
- 46:16Speaker 5: boxes weren't empty. Her boxes weren't empty.
- 46:18Speaker 9: Glamour shots.
- 46:19Speaker 5: She's standing in a pile of rubble trying to look cute.
- 46:22Speaker 7: It was.
- 46:23Speaker 9: This is before the day of influencers, really. But like,
- 46:25Speaker 9: you know, people do this stuff at places where this
- 46:28Speaker 9: is not the appropriate place to be taking a photo
- 46:29Speaker 9: like that. It was right after 9-11. I was working
- 46:32Speaker 9: in New York at the time when 9-11 happened. And,
- 46:35Speaker 9: you know, as far down you can go in lower
- 46:38Speaker 9: Manhattan toward the Trade Center, they had the streets blocked off.
- 46:41Speaker 9: But there was just a pile of twisted metal, rubble, concrete,
- 46:45Speaker 9: everything else that you could see down toward the end
- 46:47Speaker 9: of the street.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Right.
- 46:48Speaker 9: All the spotlights on it because they're doing the rescue
- 46:52Speaker 9: or whatever operation. And there are people right there at
- 46:54Speaker 9: the NYPD police barriers, like big, like Sammy's thumbs up photo.
- 46:59Speaker 11: Oh, no.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Disgusting.
- 47:01Speaker 5: And the NYPD officers like lost it on these people.
- 47:05Speaker 5: In fact.
- 47:06Speaker 9: The one part, they had their camera taken away and
- 47:08Speaker 9: the cops smashed it on the ground. And he goes,
- 47:10Speaker 9: get the F out of here.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Back before cell phones, you could do that.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Right, yeah.
- 47:13Speaker 5: Like, yeah, there were no... It's just that.
- 47:16Speaker 10: Well, the initial, all the initial photos were like that
- 47:18Speaker 10: too for people like across.
- 47:20Speaker 5: The river. They were taking photos like that. A Miami
- 47:23Speaker 5: fitness influencer is behind bars after shooting and pistol whipping
- 47:27Speaker 5: an Uber Eats driver.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Jesus.
- 47:29Speaker 5: The driver had delivered the food, chatted briefly with this.
- 47:33Speaker 9: Dude's girlfriend, then came back later hoping to get her number.
- 47:37Speaker 9: Which turned out to be a bad idea.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Bury the lead.
- 47:39Speaker 9: The influencer shot at him, pistol whipped him. Cops also
- 47:43Speaker 9: found drug packaging operation there in the influencer's apartment. Seized
- 47:47Speaker 9: over $ 11, 000 in cash. And so now he's got nine
- 47:51Speaker 9: drug charges on top of the attempted felony murder charge.
- 47:54Speaker 11: You couldn't just take the compliment.
- 47:56Speaker 4: No, I saw the story. The influencer's the boyfriend.
- 47:59Speaker 5: Yeah, the influencer's the boyfriend.
- 48:00Speaker 11: Take the compliment that somebody's into your lady.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. I mean, if he comes back to the house, look,
- 48:05Speaker 5: I'm not going to discharge a firearm because there's a
- 48:07Speaker 5: very famous saying that the second you pull that trigger,
- 48:09Speaker 5: your life changes forever. But yeah, the guy comes back
- 48:13Speaker 5: to the house, he's going to get a very stern warning.
- 48:16Speaker 5: He's going to get a talking to.
- 48:18Speaker 9: Hey, I want to clarify that Sammy was not down
- 48:21Speaker 9: at ground zero with the thumbs up. I was comparing
- 48:25Speaker 9: it to Sammy's photo, her notorious photo that she took
- 48:28Speaker 9: at the spot where JFK was assassinated.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Lost his life.
- 48:31Speaker 5: There was an ex on the street there in Dallas.
- 48:34Speaker 5: A little plow. Across from the book depository.
- 48:37Speaker 9: And she ran out in the middle of the street
- 48:39Speaker 9: and she turned around and she had a big dumb
- 48:40Speaker 9: smile on her face with two thumbs up and.
- 48:43Speaker 4: It was a poor choice of hand gesture. I didn't
- 48:46Speaker 4: know what to do.
- 48:46Speaker 14: I was with someone who said, hey, do you want.
- 48:48Speaker 11: A picture out there?
- 48:49Speaker 4: Go out there and I'll take a picture of you.
- 48:50Speaker 5: So I was like, okay.
- 48:51Speaker 4: And because traffic was about to come.
- 48:53Speaker 5: Wait, can we pause real quick? So she's now blaming
- 48:55Speaker 5: the person she was with for forcing her to be
- 48:59Speaker 5: a disgusting murder porn vampire.
- 49:02Speaker 9: But it's still.
- 49:03Speaker 4: An active street that cars drive down.
- 49:05Speaker 8: So.
- 49:06Speaker 4: The light was turning green, cars were coming, and I
- 49:08Speaker 4: just had to do something. I didn't think about it,
- 49:10Speaker 4: and it was not a good choice.
- 49:11Speaker 5: The correct response is, no, I'm not going to take
- 49:13Speaker 5: a picture there. That's disgusting. Why would you even suggest that?
- 49:16Speaker 3: For a while?
- 49:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I was just so excited after going through the
- 49:19Speaker 4: museum and the gift shop.
- 49:20Speaker 5: I was so excited. I know, and I'm looking at
- 49:22Speaker 5: the graffiti. I was ripping out so hard. You know
- 49:24Speaker 5: when you're at the Vietnam Memorial in D.C.? That's how
- 49:25Speaker 5: I felt when I went to the 9-11 museum.
- 49:26Speaker 3: I was so excited.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Go rip!
- 49:29Speaker 5: When I left there, I was so pumped.
- 49:31Speaker 10: Woody was saying, though, to be fair, that if you
- 49:34Speaker 10: were there, you would take that kind of photo, too.
- 49:36Speaker 5: On 9-11.
- 49:37Speaker 4: No, I would not. I just love JFK and it
- 49:40Speaker 4: was like, oh my gosh.
- 49:42Speaker 11: It's just because you love New York.
- 49:43Speaker 5: Well, that's how he presented it. I wish I was
- 49:46Speaker 5: still a blood spot. I will say this. For all
- 49:49Speaker 5: the crap he gets, Sean Penn is the real deal. Like,
- 49:53Speaker 5: when he's not accepting an Emmy and he's like, I'm
- 49:55Speaker 5: in Haiti building wells, that's what he's doing. And he's
- 49:57Speaker 5: not dragging around a camera crew that effing loser who
- 50:00Speaker 5: works at this office. Drag the goddamn camera crew down
- 50:04Speaker 5: to do some performative nonsense. By the way, I don't
- 50:07Speaker 5: know who you're talking about. This person is, to be fair,
- 50:09Speaker 5: this person's not even on the air here.
- 50:11Speaker 6: No.
- 50:11Speaker 5: So they're not even doing it for that sort of exposure. Yeah,
- 50:14Speaker 5: it wasn't one of the DJs. What a goddamn soulless
- 50:17Speaker 5: piece of crap.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Wow. Jeez.
- 50:19Speaker 5: I mean, am I wrong? Tell me, if anyone here,
- 50:21Speaker 5: am I wrong?
- 50:23Speaker 3: It's an odd choice because it's not for, it's not
- 50:26Speaker 3: to promote a show or, or for.
- 50:29Speaker 5: So I can look good by doing nothing.
- 50:31Speaker 3: And whoever sees it.
- 50:32Speaker 5: And it's disgusting. It's gross.
- 50:35Speaker 9: There's so much of that performative stuff out there. People
- 50:37Speaker 9: do and say things not because they mean it or
- 50:39Speaker 9: care at all. They just do it because they want
- 50:42Speaker 9: to look a certain way to everybody else.
- 50:43Speaker 11: It's easy. It's well, no pun intended. It's lightlifting.
- 50:46Speaker 9: The box was empty, yeah.
- 50:48Speaker 5: Everything's for the look nowadays.
- 50:51Speaker 9: This other 31-year-old wellness influencer has gone viral for talking
- 50:55Speaker 9: about how she asked a male flight attendant to lift
- 50:58Speaker 9: her bag up for her and he declined.
- 51:00Speaker 3: Here's what happened there.
- 51:01Speaker 16: I asked the flight attendee.
- 51:03Speaker 5: Can you... Sorry, I should say a fun accent ahead,
- 51:05Speaker 5: you guys.
- 51:06Speaker 16: I asked the flight attendee, can you please put my
- 51:08Speaker 16: bag above my head? The flight attendant said, I can't
- 51:11Speaker 16: help you, sorry.
- 51:12Speaker 4: And then I said, well, I'm actually pregnant.
- 51:15Speaker 16: I'd really appreciate if you could help me because last
- 51:17Speaker 16: time I injured myself. And he goes, well, if you're
- 51:19Speaker 16: not able to lift your bag above your head, you
- 51:21Speaker 16: have to check it in.
- 51:22Speaker 11: And I just, yeah, I was just so shocked.
- 51:25Speaker 16: And the guy next to me, I think he saw
- 51:26Speaker 16: my text messages.
- 51:27Speaker 5: He's like, would you like me to get your bag?
- 51:29Speaker 16: I feel this lack of confidence. respect for pregnant women
- 51:33Speaker 16: at the moment now that I'm pregnant.
- 51:35Speaker 5: What are you talking about?
- 51:36Speaker 9: I've never seen anybody I've seen that's pregnant, people go
- 51:40Speaker 9: out of their way. I do all the time.
- 51:42Speaker 11: I totally do that.
- 51:43Speaker 5: I see female stewardesses lift bags all the time.
- 51:45Speaker 13: And also, but here's why I think it might have happened.
- 51:47Speaker 13: Did you know that I think it's for most, for
- 51:50Speaker 13: every flight attendant, they don't get paid until the doors close.
- 51:53Speaker 11: So when you're just.
- 51:54Speaker 4: Filing in, it's like.
- 51:54Speaker 5: No, it's not that. It has nothing to do with paid.
- 51:56Speaker 11: I'd be like, why am I doing this?
- 51:57Speaker 9: I have the answer.
- 51:59Speaker 5: I was just going to say that.
- 52:00Speaker 10: I have witnessed what this woman has gone through with
- 52:04Speaker 10: other flight attendants.
- 52:04Speaker 5: They said, yeah, I can't help. Lifting the bag.
- 52:07Speaker 9: Flight attendants are instructed not to lift bags into the
- 52:10Speaker 9: overhead bins. The policy is to offer to help them
- 52:13Speaker 9: get the bag checked for free. So, for example, Delta's policy,
- 52:17Speaker 9: it states, quote, flight attendants are unable to proactively assist
- 52:22Speaker 9: customers placing carry-on baggage into overhead bins. So this guy
- 52:25Speaker 9: was doing his job.
- 52:26Speaker 1: But why?
- 52:27Speaker 9: The idea is that lifting bags is a common way
- 52:30Speaker 9: people get injured. And a flight attendant, if they get injured, hurt,
- 52:33Speaker 9: or whatever... Something minor like that could prevent them from
- 52:36Speaker 9: doing their job in an emergency. The flight will be
- 52:38Speaker 9: delayed or canceled because now they don't have this flight.
- 52:40Speaker 9: So that's the policy. I don't accept that policy.
- 52:44Speaker 5: Is what I'm saying. You don't have to accept it.
- 52:46Speaker 5: The airline sets the policy. Part of your job in
- 52:50Speaker 5: an emergency is to be able to move things out
- 52:51Speaker 5: of the way. Yeah, in an emergency.
- 52:53Speaker 9: This is not an emergency getting her bag into the overhead.
- 52:56Speaker 5: But you should be able to do that at all times.
- 52:59Speaker 5: It's like when you get warehouse jobs, be able to
- 53:01Speaker 5: lift 50 feet above your head.
- 53:02Speaker 9: It doesn't mean that people don't get hurt. And so
- 53:04Speaker 9: it's an unnecessary, low or high risk, I don't know.
- 53:09Speaker 9: but it's an unnecessary risk.
- 53:13Speaker 5: Also, not their job. Their job is not there.
- 53:15Speaker 9: To be your assistant or to be your butler for
- 53:20Speaker 9: your server, your bartender, whatever.
- 53:23Speaker 5: They are there solely for the purpose of... Is to
- 53:26Speaker 5: be your bartender. No, solely for the purpose of... I
- 53:28Speaker 5: had a friend, what do you know her?
- 53:29Speaker 3: She's been a flight attendant for 15 years, and she said, yeah,
- 53:32Speaker 3: that's absolutely optional. You don't have to help them. And
- 53:36Speaker 3: you actually don't even have to serve drinks. That's not
- 53:39Speaker 3: their job.
- 53:39Speaker 5: It sounds like some flight attendant union got some crap
- 53:41Speaker 5: in there and now it's policy.
- 53:43Speaker 3: 877. When women get pregnant, do they lose the function
- 53:46Speaker 3: of their arms? She can't lift a bag.
- 53:48Speaker 5: You're going to have to lift heavy things all the time.
- 53:50Speaker 9: You should get used to carrying stuff.
- 53:51Speaker 11: My bicep is pregnant.
- 53:52Speaker 3: I'm pregnant. Now I can't put a bag up into
- 53:55Speaker 3: a bin.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it is true that you should.
- 53:57Speaker 14: If you can't lift something you're bringing with you, pack
- 54:00Speaker 14: lighter or check it.
- 54:01Speaker 4: If you're pregnant and you know you can't.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Lift a bag. She can be traveling.
- 54:04Speaker 9: That's not necessarily true either. Within a certain amount of time,
- 54:07Speaker 9: like before you're due.
- 54:08Speaker 15: I think it's six months.
- 54:10Speaker 5: I forget the rule. Six months?
- 54:11Speaker 3: I think so.
- 54:12Speaker 9: I thought it was like the last trimester or something.
- 54:15Speaker 11: Well, wouldn't that be six months?
- 54:16Speaker 10: That would be six months.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Six months?
- 54:17Speaker 5: The last trimester?
- 54:18Speaker 11: You can travel for six months into the pregnancy.
- 54:21Speaker 5: Oh, I thought you said for the last six months.
- 54:23Speaker 5: That sounds like what?
- 54:24Speaker 9: Yeah, so for the last three months.
- 54:27Speaker 3: If I got injured putting a bag into an overhead bin,
- 54:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't tell anybody.
- 54:30Speaker 5: How'd you break your arm?
- 54:33Speaker 11: Putting a suitcase on the bin.
- 54:36Speaker 3: It's kind of.
- 54:39Speaker 9: Like how the doctor needs to see your penis.
- 54:40Speaker 5: Even though you came in for a sprained wrist.
- 54:44Speaker 3: You have a broken toe? Show me your scrotum.
- 54:46Speaker 1: After our voicemail.
- 54:51Speaker 3: 877-44-WOODY. We did the confessions.
- 54:56Speaker 5: Gina's confession was that she hadn't pooped in three days.
- 54:59Speaker 3: Did you try the thumb thing?
- 55:01Speaker 11: Sort of.
- 55:02Speaker 9: It's not about being constipated. You just didn't have to go.
- 55:04Speaker 11: No, I had to go. That's a good question.
- 55:08Speaker 4: You're right.
- 55:08Speaker 11: Well, isn't that the same thing?
- 55:10Speaker 9: No, constipated is like you have to go and you can't.
- 55:13Speaker 11: I mean, I feel it stuck like in my abdomen.
- 55:16Speaker 11: Like not by my butt.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Yeah, by your bunghole.
- 55:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:22Speaker 9: After I was voicemail, somebody left us this.
- 55:24Speaker 7: Hey, I just heard about the confessions and the one
- 55:30Speaker 7: girl who has the poop issue. I know somebody that
- 55:34Speaker 7: had that and they said they tried fish oil on
- 55:37Speaker 7: a regular basis and it works great.
- 55:40Speaker 1: No more irregularity.
- 55:42Speaker 7: And there you go. So please pass that on. Thank you.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 55:47Speaker 5: There you go.
- 55:47Speaker 3: So fish oil.
- 55:49Speaker 5: Fish oil. Fish oil.
- 55:50Speaker 11: Oh, those big giant. Capsule pills? Oh, I could imagine non-starter.
- 55:55Speaker 5: Any oil would be fine. She can't swallow pills.
- 55:58Speaker 11: Can I open it and squirt it into something?
- 56:00Speaker 9: No, that's the problem.
- 56:02Speaker 5: She can't swallow pills as we've seen. It's a Metamucil hour.
- 56:06Speaker 11: Maybe there's a fish oil suppository. Should I try it
- 56:09Speaker 11: that way?
- 56:09Speaker 10: I've been saying belly welly, dude.
- 56:12Speaker 5: Okay.
- 56:12Speaker 9: Not nearly as fun as the thumb in the vagina
- 56:15Speaker 9: pushed down on the wall.
- 56:16Speaker 11: No, I haven't actually tried that.
- 56:18Speaker 5: Morgan told that one woman, that's what you need to try.
- 56:20Speaker 3: Life-changing.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:22Speaker 9: Yeah, because that would work.
- 56:26Speaker 3: 877-44-Woody.
- 56:27Speaker 9: That's 877-44-Woody. We had a lot of conversation about if
- 56:34Speaker 9: you could get $ 5 million, you get $ 5 million. But
- 56:39Speaker 9: by accepting the $ 5 million, it means the person that
- 56:41Speaker 9: you hate the most on Earth gets $ 10 million. Do
- 56:47Speaker 9: you still take.
- 56:48Speaker 3: The $ 5 million?
- 56:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 56:49Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 56:51Speaker 9: A lot of people in the room said yes. My
- 56:52Speaker 9: wife said absolutely not.
- 56:54Speaker 7: Oh, she's like you.
- 56:55Speaker 3: I love her so much. That's great. She's like, nope.
- 56:58Speaker 5: I love her.
- 56:58Speaker 3: Absolutely not. Yeah.
- 57:01Speaker 9: Now, a buddy of mine, because I called him, I said, hey, man,
- 57:04Speaker 9: what would you do? And he said that he would
- 57:08Speaker 9: take the deal because the person who would be getting
- 57:10Speaker 9: the 10 million bucks would be his ex-wife.
- 57:12Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
- 57:13Speaker 5: And- No more- Well, no, because then when she dies-
- 57:17Speaker 5: his kids would get the money. So he was like,
- 57:21Speaker 5: he was like 3d. Yeah. He was like 3d chess.
- 57:23Speaker 5: I think the, the spirit of the question is not
- 57:25Speaker 5: that something like that's out of the question.
- 57:27Speaker 9: Well, it's kind of like the person has said, well,
- 57:29Speaker 9: I'm getting 15 million because I hate me more than anybody.
- 57:32Speaker 5: Everybody said that.
- 57:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:34Speaker 7: Right.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:35Speaker 11: They live the rest of their life with their money
- 57:37Speaker 11: and you live with your money.
- 57:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 57:40Speaker 3: I agree. It's, you can't change the, Like, what would
- 57:44Speaker 3: happen in the future? Oh, I'll give the person I
- 57:45Speaker 3: hate $ 10 million, but then I'll hire a hitman.
- 57:48Speaker 5: That's not the spirit of the question.
- 57:50Speaker 3: What would you do, Seabass?
- 57:51Speaker 5: I'd take it because, yeah, I am very... I mean,
- 57:54Speaker 5: do I seem like the kind of person that keeps grudges?
- 57:57Speaker 12: No.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 57:58Speaker 5: But there's not a person on the planet that you hate? Oh,
- 58:01Speaker 5: there are many, but... They all get to a million?
- 58:05Speaker 5: So how do you say that? I don't know. I
- 58:07Speaker 5: don't dwell on it.
- 58:07Speaker 9: I'm not smart enough to differentiate here. So you say,
- 58:10Speaker 9: I don't hold grudges. No, there's nobody I hate because
- 58:12Speaker 9: I've let it go.
- 58:13Speaker 5: Right, I don't dwell on it and I don't let
- 58:14Speaker 5: it affect me. We've said the sayings on the air
- 58:17Speaker 5: about what jealousy and rage and resentment, it's more harm
- 58:21Speaker 5: to you than it is to a person.
- 58:21Speaker 10: Because if you're still thinking about them, they have power
- 58:23Speaker 10: over you. They're still winning.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Living in your head, rent-free... All those phrases, that doesn't
- 58:29Speaker 5: even come to do it. I have too much to
- 58:31Speaker 5: do in my own life to worry about them. That's
- 58:34Speaker 5: better than a lot of people, I think. After Hours voicemail, 877-44-WOODY.
- 58:40Speaker 5: Woody's show.
- 58:43Speaker 3: I was listening to you guys, and you brought up that.
- 58:46Speaker 1: You get $ 5 million.
- 58:48Speaker 5: Your worst enemy gets $ 10 million.
- 58:51Speaker 7: Here's the caveat.
- 58:52Speaker 5: Yeah. Do they know that they only got $ 10 million
- 58:56Speaker 5: because of me? Just the satisfaction of knowing.
- 59:00Speaker 8: That's right.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I decided to make.
- 59:02Speaker 3: This decision and get $ 5 million. You get $ 10 million,
- 59:05Speaker 3: even though I hate you. I feel like that would
- 59:08Speaker 3: haunt them. And that would kind of be a revenge.
- 59:13Speaker 3: See you guys.
- 59:13Speaker 6: Love.
- 59:14Speaker 9: That was also an interesting thought.
- 59:15Speaker 11: Yeah, that'll show you.
- 59:16Speaker 5: To really show, like, what a better person you are.
- 59:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Good point.
- 59:19Speaker 5: Even though I hate your.
- 59:20Speaker 9: Guts, because I made a decision, now you get to
- 59:25Speaker 9: have this. I want you to think about me every
- 59:27Speaker 9: single time.
- 59:28Speaker 14: Or to even know that you are the most hated
- 59:30Speaker 14: person in their life. Like, If you get the money,
- 59:33Speaker 14: you're like, because I hate you the most.
- 59:35Speaker 4: I'm like, wait, what?
- 59:37Speaker 11: You hate me that much?
- 59:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:39Speaker 11: You hate me $ 10 million worth?
- 59:40Speaker 5: That's another version of you know that they're thinking about you.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Like if James Corden did it to me, I'd be like, okay, great.
- 59:47Speaker 5: And it's a satisfaction of knowing that he hates me.
- 59:50Speaker 5: It's not peripheral hate like a celebrity you dislike or something.
- 59:53Speaker 5: It's a personal thing. I can think of those people too.
- 59:59Speaker 3: I still haven't figured out who I hate. Hate, hate.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: Lucky.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: Mine are not people in my life. It is like celebrities.
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: I mean, just like, I think if you just sat
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: with it, you'd come up.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: I have to think about this. And I want the
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: offer to be real. Yeah.
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: But I think it's a good thing.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: I've been taking the money today.
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: I think some of you guys are just not trying
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: hard enough to hear.
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: You're being a quitter.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: Are we living our lives to like normal and nice?
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Are we not stewing over things? Into joyful? That we
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: have no control over? I think it's a good thing
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: you can't come up with anyway. There's some real douchers
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: out there, you know?
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: Like, No hate and you're rich.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: Rap. 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: Send us a text over to 22987. More Woody Show
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: is next.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: Hang on.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: The Woody Show. We will be right back.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: So creamy. So good. Hearing the word custard makes my
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: mouth water.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: What?
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Sounds like a wild weekend.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: No.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: You don't even.
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: You're outside.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: Outside.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: And time for our Friday Dumbass Contest. Today's Dumbass Contest
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: is the DUIQ. Yeah. 877-44-WOODY if you'd like to be
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: our contestant.
- 1:01:14Speaker 9: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Seabass, explain the game to everybody, please.
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: I find a very drunk person out in these streets.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: And ask them some very easy trivia questions, and then
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: that is the game. You guess whether the drunk person
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: can answer the questions correctly. You don't answer them. You
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: just guess whether they can. If you do it properly,
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: two out of three times.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: You win. Sounds easy enough.
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: And then we're going to try to guess with Sammy
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: and Menace, who are Stone Cold Sober.
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: See if they know the answers.
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: 877-44.
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: Let's say hi to Mike. You're on the phone. Hey, Mike,
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: what's up?
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: Mike!
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: Hey, Woody.
- 1:01:47Speaker 15: I don't know if you've heard, but you're number one
- 1:01:49Speaker 15: in Cudahy.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: Well, Mike, happy Friday to you.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: Happy Friday to you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: Happy Friday. You're going to be the contestant here on
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: the DUIQ.
- 1:02:02Speaker 9: Now, before we get to the questions that count towards
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: you winning a prize or not, we're going to get
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: to know the drunk person a little bit better, kind
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: of get a better idea just how with it or
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: not with it they are. And who is this drunk person, Seabass?
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: It's going to be May, and she... It's going to
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: be May.
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: That's the joke.
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: And she... She was volunteered to me. One of my
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: tricks when I run into a big group of drunk
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: people is I get them to volunteer the drunkest person
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: in the group. That way it's more of like a
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: fait accompli of who I'm going to be talking to.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: All right, this is May.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: I drank Coroneritas. I drank champagne. And that's pretty much it.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: I just kept it the same thing, the same drink.
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: Now your friends say you're the drunkest person of your group.
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: I don't know my limit, pretty much.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: That's the way it is.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: But how old are you? Shouldn't you be old enough
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: to know?
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: 27?
- 1:02:49Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: You should know better.
- 1:02:52Speaker 11: Not this time.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: Not this generation. We do not keep it the same.
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Aw, babe.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: So, Greg, sometimes you can be old and not know
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: your limit, right? Yeah, of course.
- 1:03:03Speaker 9: Greg still doesn't know his limit.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: I know my limit. It's gotten better. I've gotten so
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: much better.
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: I kind of wish you didn't, Greg. I know.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: It was so much fun when you didn't know.
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: A lot of women out there, a lot of breasts
- 1:03:14Speaker 9: that wish you didn't know.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: No.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: Never again.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Never again.
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: Greg, the more he drinks, the straighter he gets. And
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: then he starts, as we've now coined it, Greg people.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: You get Greg.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Not groping, it's Gregging. And he's just Greg Garius.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Can't do it.
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: He is.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: Can't do it.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: He's it. Not in this day and age.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: All right, Mike.
- 1:03:31Speaker 9: So that is May. Now we have the questions ready
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: to go again. Two out of three times. She's got
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: to guess if she's going to get them right or not.
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: Here we go.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: Question number one. You're on the DUIQ.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: What's a prime number higher than 10?
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: Prime number higher than 10. I still don't understand prime numbers.
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: Don't tell them.
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: Not yet, obviously. I couldn't tell them.
- 1:03:58Speaker 11: I would love to hear you explain it.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: I'll start with a triple no. Triple no.
- 1:04:03Speaker 11: Yeah, that's my save.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: I might just luck right into it, but triple no.
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: I'll say triple no.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: Because it's going to be a number, hopefully.
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: I'll say no to May. I'll say no to Menace.
- 1:04:15Speaker 9: Sammy looks oddly confident. So I'll say yes to Sammy.
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: Yes to Sammy. No to the other two.
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:04:22Speaker 9: Question number one here on the DUIQ. Mike, do you
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: think that Mae's going to know it?
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: No way.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: No.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: All right. Question number one.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: What's a prime number higher than 10? Sammy.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: 13.
- 1:04:34Speaker 12: 13.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: Menace.
- 1:04:34Speaker 10: 13.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Oh, babes.
- 1:04:36Speaker 10: Is that what you wrote down, Ashley?
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: Sammy's checking. Yeah, that's what he wrote down.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: I know, but is that right?
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: Well, you tell us why would it be right according
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: to Woody logic? I have no idea. Like I said,
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: I've never understood the prime number thing.
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: I know it's like something divisible by something, but I
- 1:04:53Speaker 9: couldn't tell you what the something is.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Something not?
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: No.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: What's your guess? Because I don't know.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: I have no idea. I mean, you were really close.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: That's the definition, right? A number divisible by, but I
- 1:05:04Speaker 9: don't know what the.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Rest of that sentence is.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: One word. I don't know what the end of that
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: sentence is. I don't remember.
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: Within itself?
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: By itself and one. So divisible by nothing else.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: So you can't divide.
- 1:05:18Speaker 11: Not divisible.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: You can't evenly divide 13.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: Yeah, two, three, five. Fifteen.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: Fifteen is what divided by what? Anybody in the room
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: besides Greg and Jim?
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: Three and five.
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: Three and five.
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: Okay, yeah.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: Okay, yeah.
- 1:05:30Speaker 9: Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: Now, I would have given these guys extra credit if
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: they said 997, because that is the highest prime number
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: below 1,000.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: That was Menace's second choice.
- 1:05:40Speaker 10: Yeah, but I just wanted to go with 13. Yeah,
- 1:05:42Speaker 10: you know, I might as well keep it.
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: I get it.
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: Easy peasy.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: And you wrote down 13.
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: Oh, babe.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: All right, cool.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: Good for you, dude. No, it's impressive. I'm impressed.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: I really am.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I was very wrong with triple no.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: Yeah, so suck on that.
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: Question number one.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: D-U-I-Q.
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: Mike said that May won't get this. Let's see if
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: he's on the board.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: What's a prime number higher than 10?
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: 12?
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: 12?
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: What do you love about 12?
- 1:06:09Speaker 11: 12 is an even number.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: It is an even number. My definition is not prime.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: And drink prime.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: Well, congratulations, Mike.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: You got a point here in this round of the DUIQ.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Question number.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: Who was.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Wait, what? Hold on.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: What did you say, Mike?
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: I said I thought it was indivisible and justice for all.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: I was right up there with my definition.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Question.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: America.
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: Question number two. DUIQ. Who was a U.S. president during
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: World War II?
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: Who was a U.S.
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: President during World War II?
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: I will go triple note.
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: This might be a trick question because there might have been.
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: One?
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: There might have been five.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: Yes, there were five.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Might have been 50.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:07:05Speaker 11: Sometimes Menace pulls these out, but I'm going to say Trips, no.
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: Trips, no.
- 1:07:10Speaker 9: I will say triple, yeah, triple no. Triple no.
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: What do you think here, Mike? Yes or no?
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: No. No.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Question number two. D-U-I-Q. Who was a U.S. president during
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: World War II? Menace.
- 1:07:25Speaker 10: If I'm wrong, I want to ask another question.
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: Uh, is it Eisenhower?
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Eisenhower.
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: Eisenhower.
- 1:07:32Speaker 10: Also, is it the president that was in a wheelchair
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: and then they let him be president longer than, than normal?
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: Well, hold on.
- 1:07:38Speaker 11: What's your answer?
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: Hold on to both of them. But I said Eisenhower
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: is your answer.
- 1:07:41Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: Sammy.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: Roosevelt.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: Roosevelt.
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: I know if it's, if you say Roosevelt or Adams,
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: you have to tell me which one. Oh yeah. Cause
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: there've been two of those each.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: Which one, Sammy? Theodore.
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: Uh, Ted dog.
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: Oh, you guys both screwed it. Uh, FDR was the
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: main one.
- 1:07:58Speaker 11: Okay, well, I knew, whatever.
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: No, not whatever. You specifically went the wrong way. And, Metis,
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: you are correct. FDR was in a wheelchair. They hid it. Also,
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: FDR died during World War II, during his fourth term
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: in office. Yeah. So people complaining about, you know, I mean,
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: not to make this political, but we had long-serving presidents.
- 1:08:17Speaker 9: I knew it was Roosevelt.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: I think this is BS.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: I gave you the chance. Yeah, he did. He gave
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: me a chance.
- 1:08:22Speaker 11: I knew it was one of them weird shit, although
- 1:08:24Speaker 11: I just, whatever.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: No, it's not whatever. It's like if you said Bush,
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: which one? Right, Bush, Roosevelt, Adams.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:32Speaker 11: Dang it.
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: There's been a couple of those.
- 1:08:34Speaker 11: You're very close.
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: One was a rough rider. The other rode roughly in
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: a wheelchair. But then when he died, Truman would have
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: been the other acceptable answer. But Eisenhower, to your point-
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: was elected because of his service during World War II
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: as the General of the Allies.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: Yes, that was Menace's point.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: He's highly correlated.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: That's why he said it.
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: Here's what I don't know.
- 1:08:53Speaker 9: What was the reason he was allowed to have four terms?
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: There wasn't a rule against it. Oh, there wasn't a
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: rule yet. And he bribed people with his goddamn New Deal,
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: which just prolonged the Great Depression.
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: And nobody wanted to tell the guy in the wheelchair
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: it couldn't serve again.
- 1:09:04Speaker 13: And like you said, didn't all the press and everything
- 1:09:06Speaker 13: go out of their way to only shoot him from
- 1:09:08Speaker 13: the waist up?
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: And then his wife was like... Super hot. Super hot, yeah.
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: Signing stuff for him and stuff.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Allegedly.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: Nelly.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: So, Mike....
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Isn't there wartime that allows for that too?
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: I mean, I guess they could, right? But that was
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: before they had the rule that he was able to
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: do that. Now, I guess they could debate that and
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: they'd have to approve it and stuff. I'm sure that
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: debate would go well these days.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: So, Mike, you're saying that May will not get the
- 1:09:35Speaker 9: answer to this question, correct?
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: She will not get it.
- 1:09:39Speaker 9: She will not get it.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: Question number two, D-Y-Q.
- 1:09:42Speaker 9: Let's see here.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: Who was a U.S. president during World War II?
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: Uh, Roosevelt.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: What's his first name?
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Roanoke.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: Roanoke?
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: Roanoke.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Roanoke.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: Roanoke. That's what the name of a cabbage patch gets. Yeah,
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: so you're not accepting that.
- 1:10:03Speaker 11: You're not accepting Roanoke Roosevelt?
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: No, I'm saying just by saying Roosevelt. No, because in Jeopardy,
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: they would always ask, you can't just say Adams Roosevelt Bush,
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: et cetera.
- 1:10:10Speaker 9: Right, if you didn't accept it for Sammy, you can't
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: accept it for me.
- 1:10:12Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: And Menace wants you to know it was the 22nd
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: Amendment in 1951 that had term limits on the president.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Yes, he just wrote it.
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: Mike, congratulations. You are a winner here on the DUIQ.
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: Good job, Mike.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Nice. Nice.
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: Nice.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: All right, Mike. Hang on one second, man. Appreciate you
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: listening to the Woody Show. Have yourself a great weekend, okay? Hey,
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: one second.
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: Hey, one second.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: One second, Woody.
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: Hey, I just sent you guys a song called I
- 1:10:36Speaker 7: Want to Make Love to You.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: It's in your, take a listen to that, man.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: That's a jam.
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: It's not in a drop box.
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: It's just, you can open it just like a regular
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: text message.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: We'll get Greg right on that.
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: Is it Boyz II Men? Oh, it's your song?
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: Wait.
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: Yeah, no, no.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: I made it. You made it.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Let me get it.
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: Okay. And it's called I Want to Make Love to You.
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: I'll get it for you, Greg.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: I got it.
- 1:11:01Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: All right, Mike. Hang on one second, buddy.
- 1:11:03Speaker 9: Hang on one second. There's our winner on the DUIQ.
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: Nice.
- 1:11:08Speaker 9: All right, now we've got one more question. Question number three.
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: Liquor that is 90 proof is what percentage alcohol?
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: Ooh, love that question.
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: That's a weird one.
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: I think Menace will know this. Oh, wait, you know what?
- 1:11:22Speaker 9: I don't know this one.
- 1:11:24Speaker 11: I don't think this is common knowledge, no. I've heard
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: it explained before.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Mega common knowledge.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: Also, Greg, you clearly know it.
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: Well, Greg's an alcoholic.
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: It's in your wheelhouse. Greg's an alcoholic.
- 1:11:36Speaker 11: I've heard it explained, but it's not. I didn't grow
- 1:11:38Speaker 11: up knowing that.
- 1:11:39Speaker 9: It's like when someone says eight ball to me, Greg.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: I don't know what that means.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: Well, eight ball isn't printed on the drugs you get.
- 1:11:45Speaker 9: I know, but I'm also not buying. I don't really
- 1:11:47Speaker 9: buy booze.
- 1:11:48Speaker 11: It's the same. It's given to me, and I give
- 1:11:50Speaker 11: it to somebody else.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: I don't drink.
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: I guess Posey wouldn't know this, but Greg.
- 1:11:53Speaker 11: Clean living.
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: Liquor that is 90 proof is what percentage alcohol?
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: What percentage?
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I think Sammy, yes. Triple no.
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: I'm saying quadruple no, including myself.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: Quadruple no.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: I'm saying only yes to Sammy. Cinco no.
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: Just think about the distillation courses you took in chemical engineering.
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Think of that. That'll guide you to the answer.
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: Greg, what do you say? Only yes to Sammy.
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: Only yes to Sammy. A lot of pressure.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Come on, Sammy.
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: All right, question number three, DUIQ.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: Liquor that is 90 proof is what percentage alcohol?
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: Sammy.
- 1:12:26Speaker 11: 20%.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: 20%. Right, Gina?
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: That sounds good to me.
- 1:12:31Speaker 11: Sure, sounds like a plan.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: Yeah, menace.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: 30%.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: 30%.
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: Well, what is it? Just half.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: All you do is divide it by two. Or times two,
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: depending on which one. So if it's 100 proof, it's 50.
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: So like Wild Turkey 101, it would be 50.5%.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: It's that easy. It's that easy. And it's like how Everclear,
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: if you live in a state that'll actually sell it
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: to you, is like 195.
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: What?
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: So it's almost pure alcohol. Because above that, you can't physically,
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: it'll just evaporate above that.
- 1:12:58Speaker 11: Everclear is that potent?
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:13:01Speaker 11: I don't remember tasting that.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: We used to pour Everclear in the street and light.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: It on fire.
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fun.
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: Is that what the hibachi chefs used to make the volcano?
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: That's how you spit fire. Some states are all a
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: bunch of pussies and won't sell it in liquor stores.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: Question number three, DUIQ. Here's Mae.
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: Liquor that is 90 proof is what percentage alcohol?
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: Nine?
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: What would you say is your percentage alcohol right now?
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: Twelve over.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: Twelve over. All right.
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: Well, there you go. That's the DUIQ, everybody. We learned
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: so much.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: We did.
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: Do you think you can figure out what might pop up? Now,
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: computer's down.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:13:51Speaker 9: Jeff brought this in. Finish the Google search.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:13:57Speaker 9: So if you type in, you know how it does
- 1:13:58Speaker 9: like the predictive, what you're trying to look up?
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:01Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:14:02Speaker 9: So what things come up when you type in, is.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: It illegal to?
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: Like, what do you.
- 1:14:07Speaker 9: Think the top five searches are for? Is it illegal to?
- 1:14:11Speaker 11: I think it's like own an animal. Like own an elephant.
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: I'll go with vape on a plane.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: I'll go with smoke weed.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: Smoke weed in my state, whatever. None of those things
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: are on there.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: How about vote for somebody else? Like on behalf of
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: somebody else.
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: Nope. Really? Yeah. So far, nothing. Kiss your sister.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Nope.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: Skip jury duty.
- 1:14:36Speaker 11: Marry your cousin.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: Speed.
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: Nope.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: None of that.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: Is it illegal to?
- 1:14:41Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: Is it illegal to? What do you think the top
- 1:14:44Speaker 9: five searches are? We type it into Google.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: Break at work.
- 1:14:48Speaker 9: Number five. Is it illegal to fake your own death?
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: Oh, I think it is.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:54Speaker 11: I think it's round one.
- 1:14:56Speaker 10: I think you get life in prison for that, actually.
- 1:14:58Speaker 9: You get life in prison?
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: For faking your own death?
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: I think it depends on the situation. If they're using
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: resources to find you, you're in a lot of trouble.
- 1:15:08Speaker 9: Well, I know you'd be in a lot of trouble.
- 1:15:09Speaker 9: I know you're not supposed to do it.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: Life in prison, man.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Life in prison.
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: That's what I always heard. Okay. I didn't look it up.
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: Number four.
- 1:15:18Speaker 9: Is it illegal to take the mattress tag off your mattress?
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: What year is this?
- 1:15:24Speaker 11: This is all thanks to the Pee Wee Herman joke.
- 1:15:27Speaker 9: Also, if you just read the tag. The tag tells you.
- 1:15:31Speaker 11: It's for the factory.
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: Yeah, the consumer, which would be you.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:35Speaker 9: You can take it off.
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: I still never take it off.
- 1:15:36Speaker 9: It's the first thing I do with pillows. I take
- 1:15:38Speaker 9: all the tags off pillows.
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: So unsightly.
- 1:15:42Speaker 9: Unsightly, but also like.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: You can feel it.
- 1:15:44Speaker 9: They'll stick out from the other end of the pillowcase.
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Don't like it. And I didn't want menace
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: to alarm too many people. But yeah, only a few
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: years in prison for faking your death, depending on what
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: you're trying to avoid.
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: And it's not explicitly illegal, according to this website.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: But it's tied to fraud. Yeah, why are you faking
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: your own?
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Sure, right, right.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: No, you get life.
- 1:16:03Speaker 9: All right, so finish the Google search. What do you
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: think the top five searches are? We're at number three here.
- 1:16:08Speaker 9: Is it illegal to date a 17-year-old if you're 18?
- 1:16:13Speaker 11: Oh, that's a good question.
- 1:16:15Speaker 8: I mean, these days.
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: High school. Yeah, be careful. Technically, yes.
- 1:16:18Speaker 11: No, it's not. You have a two-year buffer.
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: Well, it depends on the state, but there's Romeo and
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: Juliet laws for such a thing.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: Sounds like Sammy really knows about this. How old is
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: Steamboat Willie?
- 1:16:30Speaker 11: I'm not 19.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: 18.
- 1:16:32Speaker 11: All right.
- 1:16:33Speaker 9: Is it illegal, number two, the second most popular search,
- 1:16:36Speaker 9: is it illegal, Seabass, to record someone without their permissions?
- 1:16:41Speaker 9: Which is big now because of all the people on
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: the streets. This used to be something that only we
- 1:16:45Speaker 9: in broadcasting had to worry about. But now that everyone
- 1:16:47Speaker 9: has a professional recording device.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: And the answer is potentially if they have an expectation
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: of privacy, for instance, in, let's say, a bathroom or
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: a changing area or their own home. And you're broadcasting
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: and also depends on the state. But anything out like
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: in a public space.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: You know, anything outdoors.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Street parking lot. Right.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: Anything where other people can normally enter and exit and
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: conversations would be able to be overheard. Yeah.
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: Number one, is it illegal to.
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: Not pay your taxes?
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: Nope.
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: Run down the street naked.
- 1:17:20Speaker 9: So if you go on Google, you type in, is
- 1:17:22Speaker 9: it illegal to the number one search for, is it
- 1:17:25Speaker 9: illegal to the person?
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: I'll press your boobs against the glass. Is it illegal
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: to be a racist? What?
- 1:17:31Speaker 11: That's the number one search?
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Is it illegal? Right.
- 1:17:34Speaker 15: I mean, so what I did was, cause I talked
- 1:17:35Speaker 15: to Greg about before, before the show about this.
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: So I cleared my cache.
- 1:17:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I did all that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: All the cookies gone. So it would be a fresh search.
- 1:17:44Speaker 5: Nothing that I have searched.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Because God knows what that list would look like. Of course,
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: Jeff Garcia wants to be a racist.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: No.
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: So that was legit what all came up.
- 1:17:53Speaker 13: That's crazy because I just put it in and I
- 1:17:54Speaker 13: didn't clear anything. Is it illegal to collect rainwater?
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: Is that correct?
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: In some places it is.
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: Is it?
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:18:03Speaker 9: It would be illegal to collect rainwater?
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: In some places they have these.
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: Receptacles that comes off the gutter and goes into a barrel.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: And in some places, you're not allowed to do that.
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: I bet you it's certain areas, like drier, like desert
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: areas where they have water management rules and watershed, all
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: that kind of crap.
- 1:18:21Speaker 9: But wouldn't it be then to conserve water, right?
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: But they would argue that the natural landscape doesn't, you're
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: messing with the natural landscape.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: That's dumb. My first choice is, is it illegal to
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: talk to dolphins?
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: That's yours? What are you Googling, Greg? Greg's high thoughts.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: Is it illegal to sleep in your car?
- 1:18:43Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: And is it illegal to collect rainwater? And is it
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: illegal to drive barefoot?
- 1:18:47Speaker 9: Dude, that's exactly mine. Dolphins sleep in your car, collect rainwater,
- 1:18:52Speaker 9: drive barefoot.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: And to not have health insurance is the next one
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: on there.
- 1:18:56Speaker 11: Yep, that's mine too.
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: That's my bottom one. My top three, unfortunately, are marry
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: your cousin. Accurate. You've made an argument for that. Date
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: your cousin. And then relationship under 18. I've never even
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: had sex with anybody under 18. And even when I was.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: And kill is my fourth one.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: Is it illegal to kill?
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: Just kill in general.
- 1:19:16Speaker 11: Kill your cousin who's under 18.
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: Let me talk about this dolphins one now.
- 1:19:19Speaker 9: Even when you were under 18, you never had sex
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: with somebody under 18?
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: No, my girlfriends were always older than I. When did
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: you lose your virginity? Not until I was 18. Oh, okay.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: Okay, so the dolphins one has to do with people
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: just screwing with marine life in general.
- 1:19:32Speaker 11: Yeah, getting their attention and bothering them.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: You know, just in general, man, thank God for Google
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: and the Internet and stuff.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: You get to be.
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: Curious about stuff and then get an answer to something
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: without having to, you know. Go to the library? Dig through, yeah.
- 1:19:52Speaker 9: Dig through the old school way of doing things.
- 1:19:54Speaker 5: That's how we get old wives tales because no one
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: could check them on it. They're like, all right, okay.
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: That's what I heard.
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: That's how you just figured that if you faked your death,
- 1:20:03Speaker 9: you went to prison for life.
- 1:20:04Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: The rest are lies.
- 1:20:05Speaker 9: Things like that.
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: It's true.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: Yeah, look into it.
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: Although, man, I think.
- 1:20:11Speaker 9: I think there are a lot of people that pretend
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: that they know things that they don't really know. You know,
- 1:20:15Speaker 9: I think there's a lot of that.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 1:20:17Speaker 9: I'm sitting here on these DUIQ questions. And again, I
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: know I'm not the smartest person. I don't think I'm
- 1:20:23Speaker 9: the dumbest person, but I'm not by far. I'm not
- 1:20:26Speaker 9: the smartest person. I don't consider myself to be a
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: smart person. No, but when we hear these questions like, oh, what?
- 1:20:32Speaker 9: You don't like prime number, you know, like you with
- 1:20:35Speaker 9: the pony.
- 1:20:36Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: Right?
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: I thought I was alone on that.
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: My daughter was so disappointed.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Oh, I bet.
- 1:20:42Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 1:20:42Speaker 11: But, like, with DUIQ, it's funny because to me those are, like,
- 1:20:44Speaker 11: trivia questions.
- 1:20:45Speaker 13: And I know a lot of trivia, but I wouldn't
- 1:20:46Speaker 13: consider myself particularly book smart.
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:20:50Speaker 9: So, like, I feel like there's got to be– I
- 1:20:53Speaker 9: can't be this alone. Like, when you get those kind
- 1:20:56Speaker 9: of questions and you're like, I don't know, dude.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:00Speaker 9: You know, but you somehow– like, because you have other– intelligence,
- 1:21:04Speaker 9: other smarts to be able to kind of get through life.
- 1:21:06Speaker 9: But man, there's so many times you just feel so stupid,
- 1:21:09Speaker 9: you know, like, uh, well, no, like just with, um, um,
- 1:21:14Speaker 9: what was the other question?
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: Proof? No, the president question.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I don't know. World War.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:20Speaker 9: Like, I, like, like, I don't know, but thank God
- 1:21:22Speaker 9: because I am curious about a lot of stuff and
- 1:21:25Speaker 9: I do have an interest. I like fun facts. I
- 1:21:27Speaker 9: like to know different things, but man, you just asked
- 1:21:30Speaker 9: me cold. On a lot of this stuff, man, you
- 1:21:32Speaker 9: feel so stupid.
- 1:21:33Speaker 10: And when you're on the spot.
- 1:21:34Speaker 9: But there's a lot of people when you're in those
- 1:21:36Speaker 9: kind of situations and things come up and people are
- 1:21:38Speaker 9: talking about something.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: You don't?
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: No, you don't.
- 1:21:41Speaker 9: I love turning it around and go, oh, well, what's
- 1:21:42Speaker 9: the answer?
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: And they start dancing around.
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: Well, it also depends on your past. Like, I remember
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: writing a report in school, like in fifth grade, on
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: William Henry Harrison.
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: You know, I know he died of pneumonia.
- 1:21:55Speaker 11: Didn't he have, like, an hour-long presidency?
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: Like, it was very, very, very short.
- 1:21:59Speaker 5: He died in 30 days.
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: Until you just mentioned that he was president, I had
- 1:22:01Speaker 10: no idea who you were talking about.
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: But, you know, if you didn't have to do certain
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: things in school, then maybe you don't remember.
- 1:22:07Speaker 11: Like Slumdog Millionaire.
- 1:22:08Speaker 10: Well, I kind of loosely knew the answer, though, but
- 1:22:11Speaker 10: I just didn't retain it. Like, I knew it was, like,
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: some president that was present longer than... normal and things
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: like that.
- 1:22:18Speaker 5: But this is why talking to AI is fun, Menace,
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: because as you're thinking like this, you say, hey, fill
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: in the blank, you're AI, tell me about who was
- 1:22:25Speaker 5: president during World War II and tell me some fun
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: facts about them. And who was in the wheelchair. Yeah,
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: and you can ask, who's that president in that wheelchair
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: one time?
- 1:22:32Speaker 11: Which one was Roanoke Roosevelt?
- 1:22:34Speaker 10: Yeah, and who was the, yeah.
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: And your AI will talk to you, give you fun facts?
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: So in general.
- 1:22:39Speaker 10: Who was the wife that was actually doing everything?
- 1:22:41Speaker 9: When people start talking about things or like historical things
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: and other things that people would say are, quote, Especially
- 1:22:48Speaker 9: like CBAT.
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: Common knowledge.
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: Oh, common knowledge.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: Everybody knows these.
- 1:22:52Speaker 9: Honestly, if you had to honestly answer the question, how
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: much of that would, like if you said like a percentage,
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: like that you think that you know?
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: It just in overall?
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23:02Speaker 11: Just in trivia?
- 1:23:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say.
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: Like if you're sitting around discussing random historical things?
- 1:23:07Speaker 5: Or not just historical, but any of these things like- Yeah,
- 1:23:10Speaker 5: absence of court.
- 1:23:11Speaker 9: What was the alcohol question?
- 1:23:13Speaker 11: No clue on that.
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: Honestly- I would say 75%.
- 1:23:19Speaker 11: Yeah, I was going to say 70. I believe that
- 1:23:22Speaker 11: for Greg.
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: 75?
- 1:23:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm like 30.
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: No way. That's the thing.
- 1:23:26Speaker 13: When I say you really don't know, that's because I
- 1:23:28Speaker 13: truly believe that you do know it. I'm not like, ew,
- 1:23:32Speaker 13: you don't know it.
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: I'm like, yes, you do. But that's the thing. I'm
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: being very honest and vulnerable because you do feel so
- 1:23:41Speaker 5: stupid sometimes.
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: Well, that's the other thing. When you think everybody knows
- 1:23:46Speaker 9: this but me, man, is that an alone feeling. But
- 1:23:49Speaker 9: so if I really didn't know it. Why would you
- 1:23:52Speaker 9: say you didn't know it?
- 1:23:52Speaker 5: If I really did know it, why would that be
- 1:23:54Speaker 5: a thing that you would say? I'm just wondering.
- 1:23:57Speaker 9: I kind of hope. That's part of it, I think.
- 1:24:00Speaker 9: I hope that there are more people. just as dumb
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: as I am because it'll make me feel better about myself.
- 1:24:05Speaker 11: And I don't think it's dumb at all.
- 1:24:07Speaker 13: I think it's, especially at our age, we're so focused on,
- 1:24:10Speaker 13: you know, the things that surround our job and our world.
- 1:24:13Speaker 11: Why would we retain that information? There's a reason to.
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: I forgot. Yeah.
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: I mean, it's never been one of those things where
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: it's like, wow, to unlock the vault to where the
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: money to pay the rent is, is behind the answer
- 1:24:25Speaker 9: to this question. Answer the question, then you could unlock
- 1:24:30Speaker 9: the safe that has your car payment in it.
- 1:24:31Speaker 11: But that's the thing.
- 1:24:32Speaker 13: If we were at a bar doing trivia, I'd like
- 1:24:35Speaker 13: to think I'd be an asset to your team. But
- 1:24:36Speaker 13: if we're trying to pass the bar, I'm not your girl.
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: Good news, Woody. Test scores keep getting lower and lower.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: That's good.
- 1:24:43Speaker 5: A lot of folks will join you. You won't be alone.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: That's good.
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: We got computers.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: You can send us a text.
- 1:24:50Speaker 9: Send whatever you got over to 22987. More Woody Show
- 1:24:54Speaker 9: is next.
- 1:24:54Speaker 8: Hang on.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: We'll be right back.
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: And so the, uh.
- 1:25:09Speaker 9: Horse-drawn carriages in New York City are going away.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Did you see that?
- 1:25:12Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm kind of happy about that. That always depressed me.
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: It did?
- 1:25:15Speaker 11: Yeah, those horses look so sad.
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: Sammy, so romantic, though. I know.
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: I've done it, and I liked it.
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: And how do you know that the horses are unhappy?
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: Did you talk to them?
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: Like, maybe they enjoy having a purpose and a job.
- 1:25:25Speaker 11: I don't think so. I think these are the ones
- 1:25:26Speaker 11: that are like, okay, you had your fun. This is
- 1:25:28Speaker 11: what you're going to do for the rest of your life.
- 1:25:29Speaker 8: No, I get it.
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: I like the idea of them.
- 1:25:31Speaker 5: Yeah. Because it's like, I don't know, it's just so classic,
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: you know? It is.
- 1:25:35Speaker 11: It's romantic-seeming, but also smelling horse poop is not great.
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: It's just a thing.
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: A little horse carriage ride through Central Park. But, yeah,
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: I guess it'll be done. The city reached a deal
- 1:25:46Speaker 5: with the operators to get rid of the carriage rides
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: by June of 2028. Here's your deal. You're gone.
- 1:25:52Speaker 9: Animal rights advocates, they have been arguing for years about this.
- 1:25:55Speaker 9: The owners say that they're well cared for. Of course
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: they're going to say that. But it really is an
- 1:26:00Speaker 9: end of an era.
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:01Speaker 11: Like walking through traffic and people. It's like, eh, just
- 1:26:04Speaker 11: let them live.
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: You see it in a lot of cities.
- 1:26:05Speaker 9: They would have them in a bunch of different cities.
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: Yeah. But now, Woody, this is just, and I know
- 1:26:12Speaker 5: this is not going to be news for your dad,
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: but horse racing is not long for this world.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: He's about ready to retire.
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: He's not long for that job, so it's fine.
- 1:26:20Speaker 9: You can say the same thing about radio, but what
- 1:26:22Speaker 9: do I care?
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: I'll be ready to retire. By the time it's really like...
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: The death rattle.
- 1:26:27Speaker 9: The death rattle, whatever.
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: I think there'll be some kind of resurgence of local broadcasting.
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: It might not be over a radio wave.
- 1:26:37Speaker 9: I don't care about the local broadcasting part. It's just,
- 1:26:39Speaker 9: I mean, like, content and, you know, you're doing this podcast. Like,
- 1:26:42Speaker 9: if you want to do something, you'll be able to
- 1:26:43Speaker 9: do it, but I'll be super lazy. It won't be
- 1:26:46Speaker 9: your problem.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: Thought this was interesting. Great films.
- 1:26:51Speaker 9: All these films that are considered these great films that
- 1:26:53Speaker 9: were big flops at the box office.
- 1:26:55Speaker 11: Oh, I love these.
- 1:26:55Speaker 9: You know, I was surprised that Shawshank Redemption.
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: That was a flop? Famously.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:27:02Speaker 11: I didn't know that.
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: And the only reason we even know it exists is
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: because Ted Turner famously bought it for himself.
- 1:27:07Speaker 11: And put it on every second of it.
- 1:27:09Speaker 9: So Shawshank Redemption came out in 1994. The budget was
- 1:27:13Speaker 9: $ 25 million.
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: For that movie.
- 1:27:17Speaker 9: And it grossed $ 28.
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: 8 million. Oh, my God.
- 1:27:21Speaker 11: It broke even, basically.
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: Well, that's broke halfway even because movie math is you've
- 1:27:25Speaker 5: got to basically make twice what you spent twice.
- 1:27:28Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, with all the marketing and all that kind
- 1:27:30Speaker 9: of stuff.
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: Fight Club.
- 1:27:32Speaker 11: Oh, I love that movie.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: Never saw it.
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: So dumb. It's so overrated.
- 1:27:38Speaker 11: Oh, but for the time it was perfect.
- 1:27:39Speaker 5: I don't know how it aged. I think it's a
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: DVD hit, right? If I watch it now, would I
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: like it?
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: I think you would.
- 1:27:46Speaker 11: I think you would.
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: It's one of those things where the twist was to
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: not know the twist is part of it. I didn't
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: even know there was a twist.
- 1:27:52Speaker 11: Oh, perfect.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: All I remember.
- 1:27:55Speaker 9: Was the poster with the pink bar of soap. It
- 1:27:58Speaker 9: said Fight Club on it.
- 1:27:59Speaker 11: I think you'd like it.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: It was very anti- Let's find out.
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: Watch it.
- 1:28:03Speaker 11: Watch it.
- 1:28:04Speaker 7: Let us know.
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: Anti-consumerist, anti-the man, anti-9 to 5. Take them down.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: I won't say the twist, but if I'm remembering it correctly,
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: I thought it was so dumb.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: Dude, it's basically office space.
- 1:28:18Speaker 9: Fight Club from 1999. The budget was $ 63 million. It
- 1:28:21Speaker 9: made $ 38 million.
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: That's crazy. Citizen Kane. Never saw it. Never saw it.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Oh, my God. 1941. It is a great movie. Is it?
- 1:28:31Speaker 4: Rosebud!
- 1:28:32Speaker 14: I hated it the first two times I saw it,
- 1:28:34Speaker 14: but the third time, I was like, all right, you
- 1:28:36Speaker 14: got me.
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: Anything that you.
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: Have to work at liking, not... work at it. I
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: just didn't get it.
- 1:28:41Speaker 14: And I got mad at people when they told me
- 1:28:42Speaker 14: that I didn't get it, but I was young and
- 1:28:44Speaker 14: I didn't get it.
- 1:28:45Speaker 10: Go to any film school, like 90% of the class
- 1:28:47Speaker 10: will say Citizen Kane is their favorite movie.
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: It's the worst.
- 1:28:50Speaker 9: I would think film students would be some of the
- 1:28:53Speaker 9: most exhausting people to hang around. Because, man, overanalyze everything. Yeah,
- 1:28:58Speaker 9: like film critics.
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:28:59Speaker 9: Like, think about those people. Those people are always party.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29:03Speaker 5: Oh, God. I mean, then you get, like... Like, you're cool.
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: I think.
- 1:29:08Speaker 10: I said the other 10... There's, like, 10% of the
- 1:29:10Speaker 10: class who actually I'm, like, still friends with.
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:13Speaker 10: They're cool and fun and still go do awesome things. Like,
- 1:29:16Speaker 10: I'm sure, like, you know, the guys from Workaholics weren't
- 1:29:19Speaker 10: saying that, you know, Citizen Kane was their favorite movie
- 1:29:22Speaker 10: in film school.
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: Sure.
- 1:29:23Speaker 11: But as a film critic.
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: There's always exceptions to the rule.
- 1:29:26Speaker 9: You have to separate yourself. I think the general rule
- 1:29:28Speaker 9: would be I don't know. They seem like they would
- 1:29:31Speaker 9: be insufferable.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: Overall.
- 1:29:33Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: Citizen Kane, $ 840, 000 budget.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: It made $ 1.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: 9 million.
- 1:29:35Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 1971. No.
- 1:29:46Speaker 9: Budget was $ 3 million and it made $ 2. 6 million.
- 1:29:50Speaker 11: That's shocking.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: You watched the new Willy Wonka thing?
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: You liked it.
- 1:29:54Speaker 11: The Netflix thing?
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: The Netflix, yeah, game show. Oh, my God.
- 1:29:58Speaker 14: It hooked me so hard. I could not stop watching it.
- 1:30:01Speaker 14: I binged the whole thing. I loved it so much
- 1:30:03Speaker 14: because you know how obviously Willy Wonka, you go into
- 1:30:05Speaker 14: the chocolate factory and nobody knows what to expect.
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: It's everything different at every turn.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: Obviously.
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: Obviously. And so the.
- 1:30:11Speaker 14: Game show was like this and the twists to it,
- 1:30:14Speaker 14: you think, oh, this is kind of going to be
- 1:30:16Speaker 14: like Survivor-ish or that kind of stuff.
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: And they twist it.
- 1:30:19Speaker 14: And I mean, the contestants are crying half the time
- 1:30:22Speaker 14: because they are like emotionally distraught.
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: You like crying and people crying, Seamus?
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: It's hilarious. Yeah.
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: Yeah, so Willy Wonka, the budget was $ 3 million. It
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: made $ 2.
- 1:30:31Speaker 9: 6 million.
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: Oh, interesting. Jennifer's Body. Never watched it.
- 1:30:35Speaker 11: Never heard of it. Never heard about it. Is it
- 1:30:38Speaker 11: Megan Fox or something?
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: Who's in it?
- 1:30:40Speaker 11: I think it's a Megan Fox movie.
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:30:43Speaker 9: But these are the great films that flopped.
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: I didn't know it was a great film. Yeah, okay.
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: Budget $ 16 million. It was a film.
- 1:30:49Speaker 9: It grossed $ 16. 2.
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: Loser.
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: It's a Wonderful Life.
- 1:30:55Speaker 13: That's another manufactured one, right?
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: 1946.
- 1:30:58Speaker 9: I've never seen that. The budget was $ 3.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: 2 million. You hate it, though, because of the little girl, right?
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: I never saw the movie. Oh, really?
- 1:31:07Speaker 9: Who am I thinking of that hates?
- 1:31:09Speaker 10: Oh.
- 1:31:09Speaker 9: My wife hates that movie.
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: And she loves Christmas.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: Mrs.
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: Christmas hates that movie? Because she hates that girl.
- 1:31:15Speaker 9: Every time a bell rings, an angel.
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: Gets its wings. She hates it.
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: That's only one part of it.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: And it might be more like, I would say it's the,
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: that or Miracle on 34th Street.
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: Aren't they legally the same movie?
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: I'd say one in two best family Christmas movies. Not comedies.
- 1:31:33Speaker 5: The OG one?
- 1:31:33Speaker 9: Like the black and white one?
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: Just like super like, like, We're cramming Christmas down your throat.
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: With Natalie Wood?
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: Yes. Right?
- 1:31:42Speaker 14: Except for the thing is, is that the original Miracle
- 1:31:44Speaker 14: on 34th Street had the better Santa, but then the
- 1:31:46Speaker 14: new Miracle on 34th Street with Maura Wilson as the
- 1:31:50Speaker 14: little girl was the better little girl.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: No.
- 1:31:53Speaker 9: Natalie Wood was the better.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: No.
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: Maura Wilson was better.
- 1:31:56Speaker 10: 100%.
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: No chance.
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: Which is the one where the guy thought he wouldn't
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: make a difference in the world.
- 1:32:02Speaker 11: It's a wonderful lie.
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: It's a wonderful lie.
- 1:32:03Speaker 9: It's kind of spooky, actually.
- 1:32:05Speaker 7: Is it?
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: A little bit. There's spirits and ghosts to it.
- 1:32:08Speaker 11: No, it's just the whole thing is kind of Twilight Zone.
- 1:32:10Speaker 5: It's a Christmas purist. I'm kind of surprised.
- 1:32:12Speaker 9: But at the same time, being a basic bitch, then
- 1:32:14Speaker 9: maybe I shouldn't be surprised. No, I'm honestly surprised that
- 1:32:17Speaker 9: you would say that about the new Miracle on 34th
- 1:32:20Speaker 9: Street really had anything redeeming at all.
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: The old one, the classic.
- 1:32:22Speaker 11: As opposed to loving the classic.
- 1:32:24Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: No, Natalie Wood was not a better actress than Maura Wilson.
- 1:32:28Speaker 11: Absolutely not.
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: Oh, damn.
- 1:32:29Speaker 8: Christmas fight.
- 1:32:31Speaker 9: I mean, it's not.
- 1:32:32Speaker 14: I see what you're saying, and I do still watch
- 1:32:34Speaker 14: both of them every year. But I wish that I
- 1:32:36Speaker 14: could take the Santa from the first one and Laura
- 1:32:39Speaker 14: Wilson from the.
- 1:32:39Speaker 11: Second and make one movie.
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: This is what AI was meant for.
- 1:32:42Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: Princess Bride.
- 1:32:46Speaker 11: Oh, come on.
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: 1997. One of my favorite movies of all time. Budget
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: $ 16 million. Opening weekend, made $ 206, 000.
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: What?
- 1:32:54Speaker 6: How?
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: And it ended up grossing $ 30. 9 million.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: Oh, well, there you go.
- 1:33:01Speaker 11: Did people, were they just turned off by the title?
- 1:33:03Speaker 5: You know, I don't know. We didn't see it in
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: the theater. We watched this.
- 1:33:08Speaker 9: It was on VHS. And my sisters and I, man,
- 1:33:10Speaker 9: we loved that movie. I still will sit down.
- 1:33:12Speaker 5: I will watch that.
- 1:33:13Speaker 9: If I see it's on, I'll pop it. It doesn't
- 1:33:16Speaker 9: matter what point in the movie. Shawshank Redemption is the
- 1:33:18Speaker 9: same way. It doesn't matter at what point that movie is.
- 1:33:22Speaker 9: I watch it from that point. I can't turn it off.
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: Go to the commercials, even.
- 1:33:27Speaker 9: God, I hate the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
- 1:33:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:33:31Speaker 9: That's another one. I feel like people just say they
- 1:33:33Speaker 9: like it because they're supposed to say they like it.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: Never saw it.
- 1:33:36Speaker 5: Theater nerds.
- 1:33:36Speaker 11: I was just going to say it's theater people. From 1975,
- 1:33:38Speaker 11: the budget was $ 1.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: 2 million.
- 1:33:42Speaker 3: It's opening weekend.
- 1:33:43Speaker 5: It only made $ 135, 000.
- 1:33:44Speaker 9: Because it is bizarre.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: The Big Lebowski.
- 1:33:48Speaker 9: Love that movie.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: I don't like it.
- 1:33:50Speaker 9: I could see where people don't like it.
- 1:33:52Speaker 11: I don't get it.
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: I couldn't even finish it.
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: What?
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: It was so boring.
- 1:33:56Speaker 13: I feel like you're not allowed to say you don't
- 1:33:57Speaker 13: like Big Lebowski, but it's okay.
- 1:34:00Speaker 11: I like all the- So goddamn overrated.
- 1:34:02Speaker 5: I don't get the.
- 1:34:03Speaker 13: Julianne Moore plot line at all. That I could do without.
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: That whole plot line. This is one I've never seen
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: all the way through. The Nihilists?
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:34:10Speaker 13: I liked seeing Buscemi and what's his name?
- 1:34:13Speaker 11: The dude? John Goodman.
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: John Goodman.
- 1:34:16Speaker 11: I liked seeing them all together, but the other storyline
- 1:34:18Speaker 11: I don't care about.
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: Is this your homework, Larry?
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: Love that movie.
- 1:34:22Speaker 5: I can understand why some people don't like it. Budget
- 1:34:24Speaker 5: was $ 15 million and it grossed $ 19.
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: 5 million.
- 1:34:34Speaker 9: Another terrible movie, Donnie Darko. Oh, you don't like Donnie Darko?
- 1:34:39Speaker 9: That's one that people say they like. It's like Sonic Youth.
- 1:34:42Speaker 5: You don't really like Sonic Youth.
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: It's the ultimate example. People did not like it. They pretended.
- 1:34:48Speaker 13: I'm not saying I totally understand it, but I've seen
- 1:34:51Speaker 13: it many times.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: Oh, it sucks.
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: And you claim to like it?
- 1:34:54Speaker 11: I do like that movie.
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:34:55Speaker 11: I like those kind of movies. I like psychological thrillers.
- 1:34:59Speaker 5: What about it do you like?
- 1:35:00Speaker 11: Yeah, what was so great? I, again, I like that genre.
- 1:35:03Speaker 5: I like, uh, what was so great about this?
- 1:35:04Speaker 11: I like Gyllenhaal. I like, well, I don't want to
- 1:35:07Speaker 11: give anything away, but I like, do we care about it?
- 1:35:10Speaker 5: You're 25 years old.
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: You're just lying to us.
- 1:35:12Speaker 11: We didn't give away Fight Club. Uh, I like the,
- 1:35:14Speaker 11: the rabbit, you know, uh, uh, what's the word?
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: Um, um, Guide? You're the one who saw it.
- 1:35:22Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean, I haven't seen it in years, but
- 1:35:24Speaker 13: I've seen it many times. Like the alter ego, the
- 1:35:26Speaker 13: alter personality.
- 1:35:27Speaker 9: I went to the theater with a friend who got
- 1:35:29Speaker 9: passes to see it, and they were so excited, and
- 1:35:31Speaker 9: people were talking about this movie and hyping it up.
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: And I went, and I go, what the F? At
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: one point in the movie, I leaned over, I said
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: to her, what the F are we watching?
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: What is this?
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: It's kind of a coming-of-age weirdo.
- 1:35:42Speaker 13: Weird, psychological... Depressing. I like that genre.
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: Anything that involves newfound telekinetic powers is not going to
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: be good.
- 1:35:49Speaker 9: The budget was $ 6 million. It made $ 2. 5 million.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:35:53Speaker 5: Blade Runner from 1982.
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: Boring.
- 1:35:55Speaker 11: Seen it.
- 1:35:56Speaker 5: Film school nerds. Budget was $ 28 million. It grossed $ 32 million. Dune, whatever.
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: It's I.
- 1:36:01Speaker 5: The original one?
- 1:36:02Speaker 9: 84, yeah. $ 40 million budget. It made $ 31.
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: 4 million. Wasn't David Bowie in that?
- 1:36:08Speaker 11: No, that's Labyrinth.
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: Oh. And then The Thing.
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: Same thing.
- 1:36:11Speaker 5: From 1982.
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: I loved that movie. You did? It was scary and gross.
- 1:36:15Speaker 5: The Thing?
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: The Thing.
- 1:36:17Speaker 9: The Budget was $ 15 million and it made $ 20.
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: 1 million. They're in the Arctic.
- 1:36:21Speaker 11: Is that a blob or is that a different movie?
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: That's a different movie.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: That's The Blob.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:36:26Speaker 9: It's called The Blob.
- 1:36:27Speaker 11: The Thing isn't a blob.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: That's right. Yeah, right.
- 1:36:29Speaker 5: It's literally called The Blob. We used to watch The
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: Blob and the original... What's the one with the original...
- 1:36:34Speaker 5: The first zombie movie ever. Night of the Living Dead.
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: Night of the Living Dead.
- 1:36:37Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh. We had those on VHS for some reason,
- 1:36:39Speaker 5: and I would watch them. I was like, this isn't scary.
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: No.
- 1:36:41Speaker 11: Night of the Living Dead is a joke.
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: Most of it doesn't even make sense.
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: It looks like a teenage film school project.
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: Yeah. There was a film... Is that the black and
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: white one? Yeah. Yeah. There was a horror movie.
- 1:36:50Speaker 9: I remember when I was a kid, and it was on,
- 1:36:52Speaker 9: and it was so.
- 1:36:54Speaker 9: Even as a kid, I'm like, wow, this is really dumb.
- 1:36:57Speaker 9: It was called Deadly Friend.
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Sounds good.
- 1:37:00Speaker 9: It was called, no, it was so bad. The effects
- 1:37:02Speaker 9: were so bad. At one point, it's pretty well known
- 1:37:06Speaker 9: for this one scene where one of the characters throws
- 1:37:10Speaker 9: a basketball and the other person who would have hit
- 1:37:14Speaker 9: their head, their head exploded.
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: Sweet.
- 1:37:17Speaker 11: I'm in.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: Deadly Friend.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 1:37:20Speaker 5: Oh, sorry, the blob was not in black.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: No.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: FYI.
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: No.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: Not a living dead.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: Right, right, yeah.
- 1:37:24Speaker 5: Dude, you're thinking about Flubber.
- 1:37:26Speaker 9: Great films that flop.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: You have this giant wad. It's too big.
- 1:37:30Speaker 11: And I'm not laughing.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: Oh, there's a... I don't know.
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: What kind of turn up you've been involved in? I
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: don't know if it can.
- 1:37:41Speaker 9: Keep up with this guy in Massachusetts.
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: This is New Hampshire.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: Same thing, right, Sammy?
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: Yes, legally the same thing.
- 1:37:48Speaker 5: I'm not even here to argue that.
- 1:37:50Speaker 11: It's the same thing.
- 1:37:50Speaker 9: Yeah, a guy in New Hampshire had a really interesting week.
- 1:37:55Speaker 9: This was around 945 on a Monday night. 911 sent
- 1:38:01Speaker 9: first responders over to his place because he wasn't breathing.
- 1:38:03Speaker 3: Too many drugs. But they got him back with Narcan.
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: 30 minutes later. He gets behind the wheel of a vehicle,
- 1:38:13Speaker 5: which he then crashes into a parked police car with
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: the officer sitting inside.
- 1:38:17Speaker 11: This chock full of good choices.
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:38:20Speaker 5: Well, Narcan's supposed to literally F you up immediately.
- 1:38:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:38:25Speaker 9: The officer was okay. And the guy was arrested for DUI.
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: Pride.
- 1:38:31Speaker 5: And released. I can't keep bad people behind bars, you guys.
- 1:38:36Speaker 5: Three hours later. Police found homeboy. Now he's at the
- 1:38:40Speaker 5: tow yard. He's going through his impounded car. Still intoxicated.
- 1:38:44Speaker 5: So they asked him how he got there. He told
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: them that they... Hey, I drove here.
- 1:38:49Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: I drove.
- 1:38:51Speaker 9: What a silly question. So he was arrested. Second DUI
- 1:38:54Speaker 9: of the night. Back to jail he went.
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: For 10 minutes?
- 1:38:58Speaker 5: This time the judge had kept him there.
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:39:00Speaker 9: Yeah, two DUIs and an overdose. That was enough for
- 1:39:04Speaker 9: one night.
- 1:39:05Speaker 10: Wow.
- 1:39:05Speaker 11: That's a hell of a night.
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: I don't know. Damn.
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: As my fellow counsel here, I don't know. Was he
- 1:39:10Speaker 5: still intoxicated?
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 1:39:12Speaker 5: Don't know for sure.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't know.
- 1:39:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:39:14Speaker 10: Hey, guess what?
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: I'm drunk right now.
- 1:39:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:39:17Speaker 5: Opioids, man.
- 1:39:18Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: Did they see him driving the car, though?
- 1:39:21Speaker 5: Yeah, but did they see him having an unsafe amount
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: of opioids in his system?
- 1:39:25Speaker 6: No.
- 1:39:26Speaker 5: Guess what?
- 1:39:26Speaker 10: I took a spaceship to work today. It doesn't mean
- 1:39:28Speaker 10: it's true.
- 1:39:29Speaker 5: I saw a thing. They were asking people what lengths
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: they went to not get a DUI after they had
- 1:39:37Speaker 5: been drinking, and.
- 1:39:40Speaker 9: Some of the stories were pretty crazy.
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: So they're driving?
- 1:39:44Speaker 5: No, not even necessarily.
- 1:39:45Speaker 11: Propositioning the cop?
- 1:39:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: To get out of it.
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: They would intentionally, for example, park the car a couple
- 1:39:54Speaker 9: blocks away, and then they would leave the keys up under,
- 1:39:59Speaker 9: on top of the tire kind of thing. So that
- 1:40:02Speaker 9: way the keys weren't in the car, and they would
- 1:40:05Speaker 9: go back to the car.
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: That was kind of convoluted.
- 1:40:09Speaker 9: This other one where they were drunk and they saw
- 1:40:12Speaker 9: the cop was behind them, but they pulled up in
- 1:40:14Speaker 9: front of this house.
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: And they go, well, I'm home.
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: So it's over.
- 1:40:20Speaker 11: I made it.
- 1:40:22Speaker 9: They literally went into someone's house whose house, it was
- 1:40:25Speaker 9: not their house. And the person let him stay in
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: there for 10 minutes until the cops left.
- 1:40:30Speaker 11: Oh, that was so nice.
- 1:40:32Speaker 5: To get them out of the DUI.
- 1:40:34Speaker 11: That was really nice of them.
- 1:40:37Speaker 14: We were out one night and found a guy passed
- 1:40:39Speaker 14: out in his car in the middle of the road.
- 1:40:40Speaker 14: He wasn't pulled over or anything. And so we were like, hey,
- 1:40:45Speaker 14: we got to get this guy out of the car.
- 1:40:46Speaker 4: We're knocking on the door.
- 1:40:47Speaker 14: And we got him out and we called the cops.
- 1:40:49Speaker 14: And they came because, you know, to take care of this.
- 1:40:51Speaker 14: And we said, so is he going to get a DUI?
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: And the cop said, I didn't see him drive the car.
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:40:56Speaker 14: So the answer was no, he wasn't. Yeah, no, they
- 1:40:59Speaker 14: never saw him in the car. We can say it
- 1:41:01Speaker 14: all we want.
- 1:41:01Speaker 11: But who are we? You totally helped the guy out.
- 1:41:03Speaker 9: This was always my fear. Not taking up for drinking
- 1:41:06Speaker 9: and driving, by the way.
- 1:41:07Speaker 11: No.
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: But this is always my fear, Madness, as someone who
- 1:41:09Speaker 5: also used to live in cars. Let's say you plan
- 1:41:12Speaker 5: on sleeping in your car. You're not planning on driving it.
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: You're not going to drive it till the next day
- 1:41:16Speaker 5: or whatever. I was always afraid. Well, I better, what
- 1:41:19Speaker 5: if I'm sleeping in the backseat and the cop says, oh, sorry,
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: you're in a car and you had a couple drinks
- 1:41:23Speaker 5: in the car.
- 1:41:23Speaker 9: I thought it was like the keys had to be
- 1:41:25Speaker 9: in the ignition or you had to be in the
- 1:41:26Speaker 9: driver's seat.
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: That's what I heard.
- 1:41:28Speaker 5: I always heard that was old wives' tale.
- 1:41:29Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm not sure what the rules are.
- 1:41:30Speaker 10: If you're in the car and you're drunk.
- 1:41:32Speaker 5: I think if they want to arrest you, they will
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: because they'll say you were in control of the vehicle.
- 1:41:36Speaker 9: Well, see, that doesn't seem right.
- 1:41:37Speaker 11: I think I'm laying in the backseat.
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: That sounds very wrong. That's why I hate cops. They're
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: in the backseat.
- 1:41:43Speaker 5: Yeah, like if you were sleeping in the backseat.
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:41:45Speaker 5: Like, that doesn't say to me that this person is
- 1:41:48Speaker 5: going to be driving.
- 1:41:49Speaker 10: Yeah, but you might wake up and start driving.
- 1:41:52Speaker 5: Yeah, at that.
- 1:41:54Speaker 9: Point, though, then yes, then you could get them for DUI. Yeah,
- 1:41:57Speaker 9: but you've got to wait.
- 1:41:58Speaker 11: Until they do it.
- 1:41:59Speaker 5: It's one of those things where if the cop doesn't
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: like you, he'll say you're in control of the vehicle.
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: So what is, can you Google the... I'm looking at
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: it right now, yeah.
- 1:42:04Speaker 9: What's the law? So just in the car at all?
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: A lot of it is intent, and that's obviously subjective
- 1:42:11Speaker 5: so like how can you can then make an argument
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: that uh because i'm sitting in the passenger seat and
- 1:42:15Speaker 5: somebody else who's not drunk is driving that you know
- 1:42:18Speaker 5: maybe i maybe i'm looking to drive right at some
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: point like i'm in a car i'm drunk but i'm
- 1:42:23Speaker 5: in no way like set up yeah don't worry about
- 1:42:26Speaker 5: it well there are some jurisdictions sleeping in the back
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: seat that counts right there's there are some jurisdictions where
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: You get a DUI and your passenger can get taken
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: to the lockup with you.
- 1:42:38Speaker 11: Oh, hell no.
- 1:42:38Speaker 9: Because they should have known.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: Better. This says, yes, you can legally sleep in your
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: car while drunk without the keys, but it is not
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: entirely risk-free. In most jurisdictions, DUI laws do not require
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: the police to catch you actively driving. You can be
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: arrested if you are found in actual physical control of
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: a vehicle while intoxicated. But it is incredibly difficult for
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: the state to prove you had the immediate ability to
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: operate the car.
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: Yeah, because you didn't. Right, which is all well and good,
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: but spending the night in jail and getting bailed out,
- 1:43:11Speaker 5: it sucks big time.
- 1:43:12Speaker 9: I wonder how long it's going to take before, you know,
- 1:43:14Speaker 9: now that you have like full self-driving mode and things
- 1:43:17Speaker 9: like that. Like I wonder how long it's going to
- 1:43:20Speaker 9: take before they'll allow that to drive you home.
- 1:43:24Speaker 10: Oh, when you're turned up.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:43:27Speaker 11: Get on safe now.
- 1:43:28Speaker 10: I think maybe when you don't have a wheel available
- 1:43:31Speaker 10: for your car, like these Tesla taxis.
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: Like the Tesla cabs or whatever they are.
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: Yeah, taxis.
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: All that stuff.
- 1:43:36Speaker 10: I do have a question, though, because I hear people
- 1:43:38Speaker 10: talking about this full self-driving mode on these cars and
- 1:43:42Speaker 10: talking about how they're on the phone and they're just texting.
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's fun.
- 1:43:45Speaker 10: So- Yeah, that's fun. But in some places, that's still
- 1:43:49Speaker 10: illegal to be on your phone.
- 1:43:50Speaker 9: Yeah, you can't be on the phone.
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43:52Speaker 5: And the cops will still write you a ticket if
- 1:43:53Speaker 5: they catch you. Oh, they will.
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: How do I know?
- 1:43:56Speaker 5: Happened.
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: Did you get one?
- 1:43:57Speaker 5: I got one.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: No way.
- 1:43:59Speaker 5: In self-driving mode? In self-driving mode.
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: That's so dumb.
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: Well, and he was very nice about it. And I didn't.
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: I was being sweet.
- 1:44:06Speaker 5: I wasn't pulling a gray. I wasn't screaming at him
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: as soon as he showed up. I hadn't got a
- 1:44:10Speaker 5: ticket in. Since I was at the show, and this
- 1:44:13Speaker 5: just happened recently, and it was a Highway Patrol guy.
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: I said, I just asked him, have you ever gotten
- 1:44:20Speaker 5: the excuse about being in full self-driving? And he goes
- 1:44:22Speaker 5: to me, he goes, well, there should be probably something
- 1:44:25Speaker 5: on that dash that helps you with that or something.
- 1:44:26Speaker 5: Like saying I could text her, look at my phone. Which,
- 1:44:29Speaker 5: by the way, you can. I found on the Teslas,
- 1:44:32Speaker 5: there is a, you can pull up in a web browser.
- 1:44:34Speaker 5: It won't play videos, but it'll play like the audio
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: from a video, open news sites, Amazon. You can do
- 1:44:39Speaker 5: whatever the hell you want. Yeah. But yeah, so he
- 1:44:41Speaker 5: was nice. I was nice.
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: But yeah.
- 1:44:43Speaker 5: Damn. Damn.
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: Damn's right.
- 1:44:45Speaker 9: Cops in Iowa got a call one night about a
- 1:44:47Speaker 9: woman who appeared to be drunk. She was driving around
- 1:44:49Speaker 9: the parking lot. They show up and the woman was
- 1:44:52Speaker 9: indeed on something, but it's what she was driving. She
- 1:44:57Speaker 9: was in that parking lot, just casually driving around on
- 1:45:00Speaker 9: a lawnmower.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: Fun.
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: Badass.
- 1:45:02Speaker 9: One that she had drove from her house about a
- 1:45:05Speaker 9: mile away.
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: Fun. A mile is a pretty good distance on a lawnmower.
- 1:45:09Speaker 11: I've always wanted to do a riding lawnmower.
- 1:45:11Speaker 5: She wasn't drunk, but she was mega high on something.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: They didn't say what. So they couldn't prove it.
- 1:45:16Speaker 9: They had her take a pee test. And sure enough,
- 1:45:19Speaker 9: that came back positive. So yes, they did know. And
- 1:45:22Speaker 9: so she was charged with OWI.
- 1:45:24Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:45:25Speaker 5: Adding to an already very long yet impressive rap sheet
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: that this woman has. Believe it or not, not her
- 1:45:29Speaker 5: first run in.
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: What?
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: With the law.
- 1:45:32Speaker 11: Has anyone here ever ridden on a riding lawnmower?
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: Yeah, sure.
- 1:45:35Speaker 11: Oh, I want you so bad.
- 1:45:37Speaker 5: It's cool, but it's much like the grocery store scooters.
- 1:45:40Speaker 5: It's so slow. Oh.
- 1:45:41Speaker 9: I told you about my buddy. He got a DUI.
- 1:45:44Speaker 9: He stopped on the way home. There was a Domino's
- 1:45:46Speaker 9: that had a drive-thru.
- 1:45:47Speaker 5: Weird.
- 1:45:48Speaker 9: And he was in the Domino's drive-thru. And while he
- 1:45:50Speaker 9: was waiting for the pizza, he passed out. And the
- 1:45:54Speaker 9: Domino's guys couldn't wake him up, so they called the cops.
- 1:45:56Speaker 9: And that's where he got his DUI. In the Domino's drive-thru.
- 1:46:00Speaker 5: Sometimes the wait's pretty long, man.
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:46:03Speaker 5: Especially the drive-thru for pizza.
- 1:46:05Speaker 11: Yeah, he just got tired.
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: Insensitivity training.
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: Well, that's going to do it for this hour. That's
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: going to do it for today's show.
