- 0:08The athletic. And they keep coming back week
- 0:32after week, two and a half years later.
- 0:35We're still here more than two-and-a-half year years.
- 0:38So welcome one. Welcome all the Athletics, LLC,
- 0:41we're back for another fun, informative entertaining
- 0:47conversation, sometimes about track, sometimes not so, Lamar
- 0:51from afar. How are you doing today, sir?
- 0:55I'm very good doing very well. What's the matter words?
- 1:00You said that in response? That's awesome.
- 1:02Governor, how are you today? Sir.
- 1:05No matter what I do takes shots. Pretty good. you know, just
- 1:14bobbing and weaving, you know, that is the phrase.
- 1:18This this is the week that, you know, every bit of debauchery
- 1:24that every colleague or everybody that's been involved
- 1:28with this is where the sniffles the coughing and all that stuff,
- 1:33this is that week. So you just, hey, hey, hey.
- 2:21I know fun times ahead fun times ahead and just give it.
- 2:24Give it a week before the game phase comes on.
- 2:26I know, I know you're, I know it's good, it's good, it's
- 2:32developing. Yeah.
- 2:38Hello Evolution. The only thing slow that
- 2:42Solutions. Does everything fast.
- 2:48Clyde, how are you today, sir? I like the bobbing and weaving
- 2:52analogy, only, I'm doing it in a different way.
- 2:57Sir, first world problems, they arrive on Sunday and it's a nice
- 3:00smooth transition into the week. They practice our people show up
- 3:07today. It's mostly chaos.
- 3:10How can they let me office? So, you know, so what I would
- 3:17like to say, first of all, Clyde, Clyde both, both you and
- 3:29Sarah Lucius, I'd like you to hold my beer or first date is
- 3:34Tuesday next Tuesday. Yeah, that's not good.
- 3:39It's not good. Yeah, again.
- 3:44And we comply on Friday, ever, heard me complaining about my
- 3:48problems. There you go.
- 3:52I like my problems because I haven't seen products.
- 3:56First, first class first class like that.
- 4:01Oh man. Well, let's just stir that pot a
- 4:06little bit further and jump into some topics.
- 4:11So with competition coming up we've got some races in mind
- 4:15that we want to think that they're going to be faster.
- 4:19Let's talk about to individual athletes and specific.
- 4:22I'm the past two years, we've seen Shelly and Elaine run some
- 4:26exceptional times. Do we believe that either of
- 4:29them or anyone else can run 1049 or faster?
- 4:33I know I'm referencing Outdoors instead of Interest.
- 4:37Okay, that's the question. Yeah, competition, what are we
- 4:40going to? Are we going to see better 10:49
- 4:44no by them or anybody else? That was a hard job, was a hard
- 4:49answer. I'm gonna be I'm gonna be very
- 4:51long-winded here. No.
- 4:58Okay. So let me at least entertained,
- 5:02the thought of this, as nobody else wants to imitate.
- 5:05I'm sure what I'm done entertaining that they'll be
- 5:07some walks around the block followed following this but
- 5:10okay. So Shelly hammerin 1062 out here
- 5:17and Elaine ran ten fifty forty year before.
- 5:20So let's say in a perfect world both of both of them, get back
- 5:25to that kind of form and show up.
- 5:27In Budapest, ready to rock and roll.
- 5:31Absolutely, somebody could run 1048 of that race.
- 5:35A lot. There's a lot of what ifs in
- 5:36there. But if Shelli in shows up being
- 5:40the rocket starter she is and Elaine shows up being the very
- 5:44confidence daughter that she can be and the closer that she is
- 5:48absolutely 1048. Now my, putting some money on
- 5:52it. I'm going to Vegas with it.
- 5:53Absolutely. But if the question is, is it
- 5:58possible? Absolutely as possible.
- 6:02I don't think there's anybody else didn't even see that you
- 6:05see in everything is, what's the other child's name Sarika?
- 6:09Jakarta Jackson. Like how much better is she
- 6:13gonna get ya? Because we forget that this year
- 6:16and 21 for to 200 So like those are 100 evolve like her 200 days
- 6:23or does it stagnate it 10-7 rights.
- 6:26All right, I think Sarika Jackson is much more likely to
- 6:29take down the 200 world record officially than anyone and what
- 6:33a great. So I'm about progressions and
- 6:42the, you know, if you look at Shelly-Ann the last, what seven
- 6:48years, I mean you're talking 7480 698 71 86 60 and 62, right?
- 7:00So mean the consistency is there R.
- 7:07Here's what I will say. Anybody knows Elaine and the way
- 7:15that she's wired, there is nothing that is motivating her
- 7:20more than what just happened in 2022 and injuries
- 7:25notwithstanding, she had a very bad year by her standards.
- 7:32So if anything I mean I can very well see a situation where she's
- 7:41trying to reclaim that Throne. Now, I think it would it would
- 7:44have to be The perfect scenario. And what is the perfect
- 7:51scenario? Well, we all we all look at
- 7:5610:49 and we can we can talk about till we're blue in the
- 8:01face. About conditions, all of that
- 8:04stuff we would have to see perfect conditions in the
- 8:11moment. And when have we seen that
- 8:13before? Last time we saw that in my
- 8:15opinion was what we just saw in the hundred 100 meter hurdles in
- 8:20in Eugene. Okay, so we're talking about a
- 8:23situation like that where Shelly and and Elaine are like at the
- 8:29height of their, their, their game right now.
- 8:32What are the odds that's going to happen slim to none.
- 8:36So but it can happen. So when you, when you say
- 8:40perfect conditions, do you mean like Luke .00.
- 8:45So not 5.0 0.0 at least above altitude.
- 8:53You know. I'm talking to 54.
- 8:59What was the wind or not? It was legal, I know.
- 9:05But like what Mike was it when I was at 20, was he let me win?
- 9:11Why was it point? Why I'm gonna find out for you.
- 9:17Yeah, that's gonna take a little second, but while he's doing
- 9:20that I'll just I'll say this like, like I was kidding.
- 9:23Not kidding. When I said no and yes, can can
- 9:26it happen? Sure.
- 9:27Because everything is possible, but I'll just say this.
- 9:32Elaine was healthy motivated and had stuff to prove somebody to
- 9:38shut up, right? And in a one-off race.
- 9:42On one of, if not the fastest track in the world, she ran
- 9:481054. 0.90 that was good job, guys.
- 9:55Okay, first of all right, folks. just, you know, I think, at this
- 10:05point time, there's there's such a small tiny group of
- 10:10circumstances that can even make it feasible.
- 10:12Lightning has lightning has to strike.
- 10:17I think it's like trying to thread a needle for like, yeah,
- 10:20right, like it's possible. I just don't think it's going to
- 10:24happen when we all agree that. It would be a lane and not
- 10:30Shelly to do it. I think it would be lean.
- 10:33Yeah, I couldn't think. I think to do what you have to
- 10:35be a finisher. Yes, not just like not to listen
- 10:39but I'm not stopping. Like obviously I'm not taking
- 10:40any shots and Shelly I just think you got to still be riding
- 10:45at the top end won't like 90 meters down the track.
- 10:50I could see like, you would have to be a situation where Shelly
- 10:54and gets the start of her life and Elaine.
- 10:58As the finish of over there, she gets the start of her life until
- 11:02she gets all the track. Like I said, like we're talking
- 11:06about be perfect. Like there's no everybody on the
- 11:12screen is very track, Savvy. Do we understand how close 1054
- 11:18is the 1049? Yes, yes, I understand that.
- 11:21Absolutely. Okay, so and again I am not
- 11:24saying, you know, first world problems is not saying That is
- 11:28going to happen, right? But I'm not going to be shocked
- 11:33or surprised or anything like that.
- 11:35If it does for my main reason is because something you just said
- 11:40align the very prideful woman. Hmm.
- 11:42And she got smacked around pretty good last night here and
- 11:47lot of little know that she her credit.
- 11:49She kept going because that Lena but she's she's not in that
- 11:53camp. She's back in the other camp now
- 11:56minute in 54 camp. Well, it's a wussy.
- 12:01If you'll even get to head, busted you go back on the back.
- 12:05Yeah. She just didn't wait two or
- 12:07three years. She just went back right away.
- 12:08So but I'm like me. I agree with you.
- 12:10I like, I would definitely agree that it's not likely, but man,
- 12:15when it'd be awesome to watch, oh yeah, I personally would root
- 12:19for it. I don't care who does it.
- 12:21I'm here for it. But since we're, since this is
- 12:25devolved into the, what's not going to happen.
- 12:28And it is January, 4th it's our first show of the new year.
- 12:33I just want to get this out. The way the four by one is safe
- 12:38but I don't wanna hear it. Don't text me, email me,
- 12:42Facebook me, dear me, don't talk to me about the four by one
- 12:46record going down. I don't want to hear it.
- 12:48It is safe. Stop it.
- 12:56And I didn't even know. You do understand that you're
- 13:02going to be next week. I'm cool with that.
- 13:06I've been saying it. Okay, as he and here I want to
- 13:08say is what I'm saying to you like I am not telling you the
- 13:13records going to fall but I don't say it with the same piss
- 13:17and vinegar that you do because they are a lot closer to getting
- 13:22there than people realize and I'm just going to leave it at
- 13:24that. But again, do they have the
- 13:26hole? Where do you think that might
- 13:46happen next year? What track?
- 13:49We'll see. Here's the thing.
- 13:51What are those obscure places? They go to at the end of the
- 13:54year? Like when rieti yeah, place of
- 13:59places like that after worlds. Yeah, but the key is see, both
- 14:02of them have to go. Yeah.
- 14:04And the problem is, they can't afford to pay back my, my my
- 14:11real life to my suggestion would my thinking would be lausanne
- 14:16like if lausanne was able to put that together, Yeah, after
- 14:20afterworlds a couple weeks because usually like when these
- 14:23really crazy things happen, you know, like member remember
- 14:28Wireless when he ran really fast in the 200m njet, ran really
- 14:32fast in the hunter. It like it's always the last me
- 14:34to you. I hate when area for the world
- 14:36record in the hardest. Yeah.
- 14:38Yeah. He was just trying to warn her
- 14:40corner to 13 against. We can get get a big bonus.
- 14:42Yeah. He's at the end of the year.
- 14:44He's not training as much as in Brussels loaded in Brussels and
- 14:47just goes and gets one, right? Into a situation like that.
- 14:50I don't think it happens at world because there's too much
- 14:53going on. Mmm.
- 14:54Yeah. What's going on?
- 14:56Let's just put on 100 assess re are called a drink.
- 15:01Yeah, let's do that. We'll just have to school.
- 15:04What the ended at the end of the year?
- 15:06Yeah, Run 100 like, you know, the last weekend of August, do
- 15:09it, do it, the way Carl, did it, you know, drop them both out of
- 15:12a helicopter, you know, like the good old days.
- 15:20All too much Murphy's Law and me for that one hoof.
- 15:25I heard he skipped a beat just thinking about that.
- 15:28All right, so talking about records and whatnot and that
- 15:32wouldn't be likely at the World Championships.
- 15:36It has been discussed and it is now a thing that World
- 15:38Championships is not going to happen in the indoor season this
- 15:40year. So, with that being said, which
- 15:43of the indoor records World Records specifically will be
- 15:46seriously challenged or broken and by whom Indoor specifically,
- 15:52I'll go first. It's academic for me, women's
- 15:56triple jump. and I'll go second and you say you take my pole
- 16:01vault with no Championship, no
- 17:00Championship to really go after Absolutely where?
- 17:07Absolutely where's? Where's USA Spokane?
- 17:14Okay, I listened to you tell me about how fast that track is
- 17:17always fast. I mean do none of us think he
- 17:23has to do it at altitude? What say you screams?
- 17:27What do you think about 260? Yeah, may I see.
- 17:33Wow, speechless. That's why I'm not so sure about
- 18:02that. So but I will tell you this do
- 18:04now but if Tim to see something in training says to do it you
- 18:06know sitting to do it them I don't think Jim's focus is going
- 18:10to be on that that's mine and I'll just say this right in the
- 18:13years, he's run the fastest in the 100.
- 18:15He's also run the fastest in the 60 indoors, so that's actually
- 18:19why I agree with you. Like I think that they feel like
- 18:24they have to go after the first 60 again, to get him back to
- 18:28where he was, but I don't know. Again, this is just this, the
- 18:32whole point of this show, right? Is for us to speculate but
- 18:35something just popped into my head.
- 18:38Do we all agree that Shelly-Ann is the greatest starter on the
- 18:40women's side ever? I was so.
- 18:47So, don't you think it's odd that she's never really gone
- 18:50after the indoor world record in the 60?
- 18:53Not really Jamaican? But at some point like you just
- 18:57do it. Right?
- 18:59So that's already in my multiple.
- 19:00They do the end or do it for money, right?
- 19:02Yes, sure, sure. All right, I'm gonna go, I'm
- 19:11gonna go race this race twice. See if I break the world record,
- 19:13you're literally describing the difference between this
- 19:17generation and our generation. But mean, yeah, running indoors
- 19:22was a was a big deal. Like, you know, it's no longer
- 19:25the case, but here's an interesting point.
- 19:28To your point, Lamar What did Christian to Christian Coleman?
- 19:33Run in the 60 in 2022. Does anybody remember?
- 19:416:48? I was going to say is 40,
- 19:43something Clyde, take a guess. I was gonna say I was gonna say
- 19:4949. I feel like I know he broke 50.
- 19:52Christian Coleman ran 641 in 2022.
- 19:57Yeah, I didn't know what world's you ran his second fastest time
- 20:01and I know that that. Yes.
- 20:04So what happened in the final? Oh, that was because he got
- 20:09second in the final. But I mean, was that the final
- 20:13Yeah, it was okay but they didn't bring some 145.
- 20:21This is a beograd. No no.
- 20:23You said you was there. You ran it and beograd Hello was
- 20:29it doesn't much 19 like in the world championships when it
- 20:33Christian Caldera. Okay. when Jacob's beat, let me
- 20:39find it. Till the 641.
- 20:43Wasn't it world's know? It was a grad where that wears
- 20:47beograd that's a new one for me. So I feel like that was right
- 20:51before worlds had to be a clean run.
- 20:54Anyways, afterwards. Yeah, he wouldn't even come
- 21:06close to his top 10 Market. Where else?
- 21:10Okay, he didn't. Yeah I mean it's not like he's
- 21:13not capable, it's his record. Yeah but I think it's beograd
- 21:20phonetic bi o gr ID Beo. Geog lady.
- 21:30I'm trying to think what other records are out there indoors
- 21:34that, I mean, women's hurdles, You see?
- 21:39That was that's where I was going next.
- 21:41Mmm, and I've had some reports that the people somebody that
- 21:46has seen her training, it's like they're more impressed with her
- 21:50flat foot speed than they are with her like what she liked.
- 21:54Was that she'd ever been before like she's way faster than she's
- 21:58ever been. Wow so Belgrade is known locally
- 22:02as beograd okay okay. I just never seen it.
- 22:31It was, there is no we're we're just putting extra on it, just
- 22:33kidding. I like, lastly, so we've alluded
- 22:41to best starters and what not? And what it'll take to work.
- 22:44Wind it, World indoor or the 60, I should say, I'm sorry.
- 22:49What do you think is the greatest challenge to teaching
- 22:55acceleration, College Drive? Whoever you want to cite at this
- 22:59point? Who are we The first part of the
- 23:01race. Well, I sense.
- 23:05Well you want to take it because I was going to say right?
- 23:10You can jump into the piece here and it get your list that you
- 23:22have to be patient. It is the to do not go together.
- 23:29It's very, very difficult to explain to a young man or young
- 23:33woman that yes, you are trying to run as fast as you possibly
- 23:38can. But you have to be patient and
- 23:42it's, you know, for me, you know, it's something that you
- 23:47know, you you we can watch a video, we can go over, we can go
- 23:52over and over and over and it gets really monotonous because
- 23:56you're trying to get through that.
- 23:59You have to do certain things that can a the point C and you
- 24:06had to be patient. It happened, it will happen, but
- 24:09you have to be patient. So I'll start off with the p
- 24:12there and I'll back it up with another one persistence.
- 24:17I think the biggest problem that you have see people want to
- 24:20blame the athlete and he athletes not always the problem
- 24:24because the coach gives up when said athlete doesn't learn it as
- 24:28quickly as they. They think they should or feel
- 24:30what they should or whatever. So, absolutely.
- 24:34It's got to be patients on both the coaching.
- 24:36The average part of, it's got to be persistent.
- 24:37It's got to be something that, you know, it's an acquired skill
- 24:42for most people, we have the circuit freaks at just walk out
- 24:45on the track. They were born to accelerate but
- 24:47it's an acquired skill and it takes time, you know, sometimes
- 24:50it takes more than a year before people perfect it the first time
- 24:54that problem. That's another first class.
- 24:57He said a year, The same on on this, from a
- 25:14track perspective in dealing with baseball kids.
- 25:21I think one of the things you deal with it because we deal
- 25:24with this at a very novice level, I think in track, it's
- 25:28just teaching them not to try to run hard not to try to
- 25:36accelerate. But to accelerate to actually be
- 25:41relaxed and let their bodies do things as opposed to trying to
- 25:46forcibly pour the water in the glass and then just watching it.
- 25:50Splash in and out and make a mess right?
- 25:52Like baseball. Players are particular like to
- 25:56run. What I call hard, you know, fist
- 25:59balled shoulders up tight as a drum, everything crossing the
- 26:04midline and just like, I know you feel like you're doing a lot
- 26:07of work because you are but you're going fast majority of it
- 26:11is not going anywhere. Yeah.
- 26:15Right. So it's just teaching folks.
- 26:20You can apply forces how to apply them properly.
- 26:26There's another p word proper. What is all this splashing of
- 26:32water as we walked around the block?
- 26:35It's not a walk around the block.
- 26:37Is this me like that? It's actually a good analogy
- 26:40that you you because it's actually a really good.
- 26:45I always talk. Let me be a good Steward and I
- 26:55will explain myself. Long.
- 26:57When you when you're dealing with younger, folks, the example
- 27:02I like to give is you can pour water faster but you still have
- 27:07to pour it smoothly or else, if you try to force it in it, just
- 27:12splashes in and out and makes a gigantic mess.
- 27:15That's exactly what happens with the forces we tried to in
- 27:19theory, apply to the ground. If you don't, if a doesn't come
- 27:23before, be become a 4C and you have the patience for all those
- 27:27Things to work in unison and work in the right time, right?
- 27:30You just make a mess digging. Big and big holes in your
- 27:34brand-new grass track. I see, I like the water analogy
- 27:45was much better than that. I like the water analogy and
- 27:50just because I am creative. And and the governor ran with my
- 27:58original word, it's just the obvious answer.
- 28:04All of this up by saying Precision, Precision love it.
- 28:11Love it. Yeah.
- 28:13Said scramble it together. Precision.
- 28:16Yeah okay. Okay so here's the here's the
- 28:19biggest issue that I find with teaching Option is that you can
- 28:26line up 100 people and they all want to teach it a totally
- 28:30different way. Yes, that's the problem.
- 28:33Know, who people know, one of the bigger problems, right?
- 28:49Like so much of it gets lost in translation.
- 28:53Hmm or propaganda. Like okay, so the word that I
- 29:01like to use like emphasized in acceleration is displacement, if
- 29:05you have to displace, right? That you're trying to displace
- 29:07the center of Mass from point, A to point B in the fastest
- 29:09fashion, but the understanding or lack thereof of understanding
- 29:14of what actual displacement is, is an issue.
- 29:18Just because you're my son at its core is actually slow Y.
- 29:23And so like, yeah, I'm not trying to move fast.
- 29:27Yeah. So for that understanding or
- 29:30lack thereof understanding, that's what I try to do.
- 29:35Another concept that's hard for people to grasp.
- 29:39Is the concept of everything done properly in track and field
- 29:44is done, slow to fast. Mmm-hmm everything is Yeah, and
- 29:51you're trying to go fast right away.
- 29:52Just just really, it's really a problem.
- 29:55The wide open wide, open and flailing.
- 29:58Yeah. They're soggy noodles
- 30:01everywhere. Well, good.
- 30:05I hope everybody was able to pick up at least one keyword, or
- 30:07keyword. I have a question for you,
- 30:09before we move out of the acceleration conversation.
- 30:12So, who do we? If you're going to use a model
- 30:17for acceleration? Give me one male and one female
- 30:21that you use it new to having people watch.
- 30:25Hmm. Okay.
- 30:26So that's an interesting question, very and I'm sure I'll
- 30:32get some disagreement on this. We all have our models that we
- 30:38like I try to find models that fit the human that I'm trying to
- 30:47show it to. For example, if I have one of my
- 30:52young ladies right now is almost 5 foot 10, not going to show
- 30:57because what's the point? Hmm.
- 30:59You know, I mean like they can't she can't move like that.
- 31:02It's just she can't see gonna get frustrated I'm gonna get
- 31:04frustrated. So I try to find models that are
- 31:07comparable to the person but to make this this very good
- 31:12question, simple. For me, it's two people on the
- 31:16men's side. Maurice Greene.
- 31:20And Marcel Jacobs. I love Marcel Jacobs movement
- 31:25patterns. okay, I will say on the woman side I mean, I cannot
- 31:36get Carmelita jetters acceleration pattern out of my
- 31:41head. It is a thing of beauty I you
- 31:45know, an end. What's interesting to me about
- 31:48Carmelita was that I don't think I think she probably got it
- 31:54right. Maybe five times in her ankle,
- 31:59right? And and I think we were all
- 32:02along for the ride while she was searching for Perfection and it
- 32:06speaks a lot to her coach that you know, she stuck with it.
- 32:12And when it happened, oh my God, like I implore people to go back
- 32:18and look at her like this. Take her three best races and
- 32:22tell me that that isn't a thing of beauty, you know?
- 32:26And I every time I see Carmelita like have to Dapper up because
- 32:31beautiful stuff as far as a men's side.
- 32:37Yeah I mean I mean is was there anyone more consistent and
- 32:42Maurice Greene? No I mean it's just amazing and
- 32:48it was it was monotonous and it was beautiful you know and
- 32:54having been victimized, I don't know.
- 32:56How many times running next to the guy?
- 33:00I mean yeah, I mean look I mean, Maurice Greene and Carlos for
- 33:09me, okay. And, and obviously, more
- 33:14rescreen more, the every, man because of his stature, there's
- 33:18way more sprinters that are in the general, vicinity of the 59,
- 33:22510 range, then in 62 63 range, right?
- 33:27On the women's side, it's not necessarily a person, it's
- 33:29races. Like for sure.
- 33:31Any one of jets, top three races.
- 33:33I really like look as weird as it sounds like a beast.
- 33:38A beast einar's race in Baton Rouge last year.
- 33:44That was my cue. I can watch that race like 7,000
- 33:47times and I find something different, I like about it.
- 33:53Every time and I know for sure that that's whatever she did
- 33:59there. That's what they were trying to
- 34:01do every other race and do a chin.
- 34:05Do it anywhere near as well. Any other time, how many spoons
- 34:08do that Lamar like that? All right, if you hit the
- 34:26fastball, do you know how you hit it?
- 34:28It's just take a swing at it, right?
- 34:30He got lucky because you get, you take the blind swing and get
- 34:33lucky. You have a like, it had very
- 34:35many more times because you don't know how you did it.
- 34:37And that's the kidney acceleration.
- 34:39You have to know how you did it, to make it effective.
- 34:43And I mean, for me on the men's side of it, I got it.
- 34:45I don't think people talk about nothing about it being so for
- 34:48great celebration miles. Asafa Powell.
- 34:51MMG. Surely he was he was as much a
- 34:53Machine is was Mary's wasn't that was not more.
- 34:55So you know on the women's side jet jet sound argue with you
- 35:00know very much so you know and To open up, a can of worms
- 35:04Flo-Jo. Was a pretty damn good.
- 35:14Yeah, but those are like you don't care what they
- 35:29watch right from 6:30. Nine indoors to 979 outdoors, I
- 35:34don't care. They look the same and and that
- 35:37you, you said it quicker and probably better than I was going
- 35:41to say it. Yes.
- 35:43And and I don't mean this as a shot, it just is what it is,
- 35:46right? The reason that asafa Powell
- 35:49doesn't jump to the Forefront of people's minds even though
- 35:51technically they probably should is he never did it when it
- 35:55mattered, hmm, right? And so you pull whatever video
- 36:00you want, once more? It always looked like that for
- 36:05that record. Auto always looked the same.
- 36:08Yeah, that's why. Yeah, not to me.
- 36:10What's that mean? These are mostly Don's people,
- 36:14right? Yes.
- 36:16And so, you know, and since we're having this conversation,
- 36:19if you, if you drop it down to a different event, the other
- 36:23straight line event. The hurdles, oh I got one.
- 36:26It's Sally. Hmm, it's Sally.
- 36:31In between the hurdles, you could pick other people over the
- 36:33top maybe you want but 0 0 through one Sally every time.
- 36:42These are my just 0 to the first Turtle.
- 36:44Yes. Okay.
- 36:46Sally. It was Precision.
- 36:49Every time I said there's other there's other things you can
- 36:52pick apart, right? But like setting it up correctly
- 36:55and blowing through the way you want people to.
- 36:59I'll take Sally Peterson. That's the unfair part about
- 37:02Grant, right? Did you kill you?
- 37:12Melissa always you the 142 million.
- 37:19Alex so you take Grant Holloway videos from practice, right
- 37:25there. Absolutely great.
- 37:26The problem is, you know that you're setting your pupil up for
- 37:30failure. My point the to my point like
- 37:34you know, my athletes know that we know each other, right?
- 37:38Coach. Can you give me a video of G?
- 37:40Like I have videos G. Not going to show?
- 37:42You that for? What?
- 37:44Just gonna give you a complex? You can't do that.
- 37:47We're working on. This is gonna hurt yourself.
- 37:53It's still shots. Common question.
- 37:55I get is well, can't you get somebody to run with them in
- 37:58practice whoo-hoo? If you stagger the Starks, yeah.
- 38:03Okay. Is it look good?
- 38:05Because we want somebody to start with it, okay?
- 38:07So the other thing is this is like Okay so we've all seen the
- 38:10video of him, doing a story With Christian home, I was just about
- 38:13to say no, we were Christian man, 640 something.
- 38:18Mmm, right. So who Am I, who start here?
- 38:24And the reason I throw hurdlers in there.
- 38:26If you're if you're a numbers geek like most of us are and you
- 38:30have access to the numbers 0 to 10 meters, women's hundred and
- 38:36women's hundred meter hurdles. I got news for you.
- 38:39The hurlers are zero to ten just as good as the as the Sprinters
- 38:42are you show me Grant 0 to 10 meters on his way to the hurdle?
- 38:47I'll put that up against anybody running the hundred.
- 38:52Like it has to be that good. There are people who are talking
- 39:00to their screens right now. You know this right now and
- 39:04typing or texting patient assistance.
- 39:08Yeah. You know what I think is what it
- 39:16just gets. It gets both coach and athlete
- 39:18in trouble. The athlete doesn't have the
- 39:23patience to let the movements happen and sometimes the coach
- 39:26doesn't have the patience to let it happen enough.
- 39:31To stick with it. And you have to understand you
- 39:34just can't just cause you watch the research degree video which
- 39:36will look like in the next day. It's not the way it worked.
- 39:40Awesome because you know we were all we're all privy to watching
- 39:42the evolution of movies because that is ever wasted in.
- 39:46He was like that when he moved all that know it took it took it
- 39:49took almost a year that I could it to protect it.
- 39:51Totally flat. They'll clicking you know?
- 39:53So hmm, you know, I asked this before like is any man ever had
- 40:03the world record in the 60 and 100 simultaneously besides
- 40:07police Hmm. No I was at 6:30 at 6:39 and 979
- 40:14he had a both. Yeah.
- 40:18It's probably if it did, it was probably you know of days I
- 40:26don't think so. We know the evolution of the
- 40:29hundred world record. Right?
- 40:31Yeah yeah. We know neither Carl nor lire
- 40:35hat, Leroy had the world record indoors.
- 40:39Bolt. Never had it.
- 40:40Franklin never have it. So I mean, I'm not defending no
- 40:46Goodwill Calvin Smith, that red know.
- 40:56Alright, well, send your text to the respective people that you
- 41:00want to yell at right now. Go ahead, go ahead and push
- 41:04pause and not yell by me, but yell, but whoever we missed.
- 41:08So, I'm going to ask this question real quick.
- 41:12Who do we think? So not who can be a better
- 41:16starter, but who is on their way to be a good starter like is a
- 41:21movement away. Wait starter or accelerator?
- 41:25They're two different things. Displacement dear mr.
- 41:57Yeah. But what's the opposite of
- 41:58displacement in heaven? Let me get off Big Joe's back.
- 42:01Yes, JB I love you darling. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 42:06This cement is like literally this close to being a
- 42:20phenomenal. Accelerator and accelerator
- 42:26pattern Ronnie Baker. Hmm, he's real close in my
- 42:33opinion on the women's side CI and I won't be a meme someplace,
- 42:40but for this one but like there's nobody on the women's
- 42:43100. I think in the u.s. is doing it
- 42:45right now. Not a soul.
- 42:48Mmm, I mean, I could be wrong but I don't really see anybody.
- 42:52That's just Executing what we all believed to be a great
- 42:56acceleration better. I don't know why that is.
- 43:00I mean, the results would suggest such a thing, but maybe
- 43:04the closest probably miss Jefferson.
- 43:05Right? Awesome.
- 43:06Malicious. Wait, wait.
- 43:07She just not consistent with it yet but she's the most probably
- 43:11the closest to it. And it's just so she's got, you
- 43:15know, right? there's a lot of standing up and
- 43:21digging and spinning and the person who I like to watch do
- 43:26things, but again, she's not somebody.
- 43:28You could tell somebody, go watch this because of the lack
- 43:30of winning is to Lou. Hmm.
- 43:34She's very, she's very consistent, right?
- 43:38And I mean, it, even, let's be honest, like, even in the
- 43:41finals, she just gets forth a lot.
- 43:43Hey, and there's no crime in that, right.
- 43:46It's very simple fact in our sport.
- 43:48Like, if you don't get top three of the exactly act like they
- 43:50like you never did anything but unless something changed that
- 43:54I'm unaware of year, 2 is tyloo LA with John.
- 44:00Hmm. If you asked me to give you a
- 44:02sleeper, Right now. So it's Todd Lou.
- 44:11I'm here for it. I want to see her get it done
- 44:13man. She like, if anybody ever I
- 44:15would say deserves a medal. Is her because she has been a
- 44:22soldier. She makes all conceal anything
- 44:25and she's done all the things. You ever ask somebody to do,
- 44:28show up at the church at the major championships.
- 44:30Make the final be consistent, run your best to the final.
- 44:33Like do all those things happen. She's just well she got a
- 44:39terrible birthday, right? She just she was born in the
- 44:45same group of the of Did you make in dominance?
- 44:54All right. Well, I'm sure we have forgotten
- 44:58some and we will be no, let known of that.
- 45:02And then we come so good. Good conversational pieces,
- 45:06right? Yeah, absolutely.
- 45:08And and have these conversations with your peers, who surround
- 45:11you, because it might just be localized to who you have around
- 45:14you. So that means to be your
- 45:16reference point rather than YouTube University.
- 45:21Any before we get off at, though, I do want to say this
- 45:23because sometimes we do say things that, That we really want
- 45:27people to get. Understand the difference
- 45:30between being accelerator being a starter.
- 45:33And use the verb is necessary to create what you want, right?
- 45:39Like it just there's a difference between those two
- 45:41things. A big difference And and I think
- 45:46the, the improper verbiage like Boggs the athlete down as much
- 45:52as the coach does, right. We ever, we all know what you
- 45:54want, but you got to use the right words and I want to
- 45:59piggyback off of that. And I think see here's the
- 46:01problem. Like we hear terms Drive phase,
- 46:09Max acceleration. Maintenance phase.
- 46:12People throw those around a lot and they have no idea what they
- 46:15do. Right or where they are.
- 46:18So, so if you're going to talk to your athletes about that,
- 46:22know what you're talking about. No no, you know what?
- 46:26You're trying to get them understand but understand that
- 46:29they will never understand it if you don't understand.
- 46:33That's the big key for me. I don't just go read a book and
- 46:36read these phrases and then go try to sound intelligent one
- 46:40like We've had, we've got some great athletes in this country,
- 46:45but I think there's a lot of people that get missed out on
- 46:48because coaches are too lazy to go, learn and master their
- 46:51craft, and I'm gonna get off my soapbox and it's not about to
- 46:55walk around the city with that one.
- 46:56So I mean I don't think there's any doubt that's true though,
- 47:01right? It means that we go back to your
- 47:03one and I said if we if we put the science and the due
- 47:08diligence into winning medals that the smaller countries are
- 47:11forced to We'd win all the metals because from the athletic
- 47:17Talent standpoint we have all of the talent.
- 47:24So I'm going to make a left hand turn and I promise, this will be
- 47:26it on this because we keep dragging this out.
- 47:29You know, there's conversation even in within usatf when we
- 47:34talk about the professionalism of coaching and the education of
- 47:39which entails professionalism and that at the youth levels in
- 47:44the club levels and the whatever levels you want to letters that
- 47:47you associate with them, that we have so many parent, volunteers
- 47:52that We're not going to require them to have at the minimal in
- 47:56my situation. I'm talking about level 1
- 47:58certification just for the general understanding to use the
- 48:02verbiage correctly at the right time.
- 48:04So I think that's where our biggest separation is within the
- 48:08global Athletics meeting Athletics is the sport not like
- 48:13World Athletics that the entity and specifically USF Lennox
- 48:19We're looking for bodies to fill holes to monitor rather than to
- 48:25actually educate at the very minimalist of levels.
- 48:29So I think that's where probably want to say this.
- 48:33I know I get accused of being a level Basher and I am not a
- 48:37level of passion. Let me start off by saying that,
- 48:40but let me back that up by saying that the problem is is
- 48:44that people attend a level one school level.
- 48:47One class, I should say it and they get a certification and now
- 48:51they're professional coach and they know how to do everything.
- 48:54And I had a theological that of continuing education.
- 48:56Yeah, there's no I think that's the problem.
- 48:58Mom is that, you know, I think we've talked about the we beat
- 49:04this this horse to death, like education is required.
- 49:07But one course does not make you an expert, you know, like at the
- 49:11funny, I were right, and I will say this because I'm a guy with
- 49:14the first world problems. I strive to learn something new
- 49:18every freaking day. You know, you learn if you just
- 49:22go to practice and just put your eyes on your athletes me, watch
- 49:25a movie. So I had to agree as the
- 49:32youngest one. I I did level one.
- 49:36What year was that 2007? you know, I was just a few years
- 49:42out of college and I was blown away by How remedial it was like
- 49:52I was at level 1. Like what?
- 49:54Y'all don't know this already I'm I'm confused right?
- 49:59Level to was amazing and then three in the usatf world is
- 50:05level 5. I WF that was even more made
- 50:08right? But the and I don't know how its
- 50:10evolved over the years and I'm not involved with teaching it,
- 50:13but if it still is remedial, as it ever was Lou, Lucious is
- 50:18point, is that much more irritating because it's like,
- 50:23how can you go to that thing? Two days, maybe it's on Zoom now
- 50:30and then you have the audacity to walk out as if you're not
- 50:34like, you know, now my pump your brakes, like go.
- 50:39Yeah, it involved in producing results.
- 50:41And you know, it's not the hard part is that sometimes we get
- 50:46their feedback that It was too General and the comment back is
- 50:53because this is the taste test. This is your aperitif.
- 50:57Now you need to move on to the entrée and so like it's it's
- 51:01amazing because there's Miss Acknowledgement, maybe that's
- 51:07what I want in regards to that because so my comment derives of
- 51:11just the basic education, not necessary the levels, I
- 51:14reference the levels because that's what I'm involved with.
- 51:17But the basic education movement and maybe you don't know the
- 51:21science. And I'm now seeing for
- 51:23terminology and Greek, Greek, roots, and all these things.
- 51:26But the ability to speak about how you want to move your body
- 51:31across the track in this angular position that are, you know, so,
- 51:36Oh yeah. That's that's just part of it.
- 51:37And there was a whole discussion on that and we started that way
- 51:41back into 2020 was that when that was 20/20 but I mean that
- 51:47can be involved in disgust in different Avenues, definitely
- 51:50for sure. So, but Now, for the fun part,
- 51:57the governor you are up Sir. All right.
- 52:02See, I think this one's going to be fun.
- 52:04Talking in German now again. Oh, Governor has the see-through
- 52:11Mass. That's totally me.
- 52:17All right. Would you rather be ready?
- 52:20Hmm, would you rather give up per diem in cash or
- 52:24electronically? So, like, the other than
- 52:29Moselle, whatever, cash, out, whatever.
- 52:32Our give it out. Yes, you do self.
- 52:37Yeah. Would you rather cash it out?
- 52:39And then move it out. Are you kidding me?
- 52:43Come on now. It's absolutely, yes, please say
- 52:49less cash. Is it?
- 52:54All right? Would you rather?
- 52:57Deliver a presentation via Zoom or in person I'm asking because
- 53:01the TT F CA is coming up. So that was on my mind in
- 53:05person. Got it, would you rather run a
- 53:09straight or a turn on the floor by one, third leg all day.
- 53:16Love love, third leg. Interesting.
- 53:22Interesting coming from a jumper who runs straight you.
- 53:25I I don't know, I loved being because it's one of the most
- 53:33underrated actual skills that you can do in track and field.
- 53:41In my opinion, it's room is also afraid of himself running
- 53:46straight. Get it, go back and watch any.
- 53:53And I mean, any of creams long jumps, and you will literally
- 53:59see when he shuts off the gas. Yes.
- 54:02Oh, okay, I get that. Okay, I didn't get it at first
- 54:05got it. He's like nope that's fast
- 54:07enough. Would you rather Circle the
- 54:13parking lot for the perfect parking spot or her straight to
- 54:16the back of the lot? So, That's an interesting
- 54:23question because anyone has ever driven with me will know that, I
- 54:28will go straight to the front of the parking lot and I will find
- 54:32that spot that spot exists and I will find that spot.
- 54:43That's me. Oh my gosh.
- 54:45Okay, that is the right answer. So this one is from the
- 54:49audience. Would you rather skateboard or
- 54:52Snowboard. Okay.
- 54:56So are you? Are you saying?
- 54:58Would I rather be Adept at it or would I rather try it?
- 55:02Okay. Have you done either?
- 55:05I have been on a skateboard. Thank you very slowly.
- 55:18I wouldn't I wouldn't like I would like to try snowboarding.
- 55:21I would yes. It seems like fun.
- 55:25I haven't done either. All right last one.
- 55:27Would you rather eat a corn dog? A hot dog or a bagel dog?
- 55:32Dog. Bagel dog.
- 55:36Shout out to the bagel dog, spicy mustard.
- 55:38A war with it with an everything bagel on the outside.
- 55:42Yes, for sure. Why?
- 55:45Why did? Where did they go?
- 55:48We need to go find state fair, I don't know.
- 55:53All right gentlemen, the floor is you are You go first.
- 56:03You can only listen to one of these artists catalog for the
- 56:10remainder of your life. Would you rather listen to
- 56:15Biggie, Tupac Drake? Or Eminem.
- 56:27Nobody else. I would I would have to go with
- 56:35biggie. I go biggie.
- 56:45He's wearing them to albums out. Absolutely.
- 56:49And then the post on the part of the features and and the
- 56:52posthumous. Yeah.
- 56:54Yes. So there's this our client the
- 57:01East. You see?
- 57:02He's a tough one. So Would you rather?
- 57:13B. Head coach or director of track
- 57:17and field and the Big Ten, the Big 12, the SEC or the ACC.
- 57:25Wow, I'm sorry, I thought you were
- 57:45Is called that conference with conferences, I can talk to that.
- 57:50Would you rather be a director track and field or head coaching
- 57:54and and why? Hoo boy.
- 57:59So first off we're talking about first world problems here.
- 58:03So he where would I? Rather have this first world
- 58:08problem. It have to be down south and, I
- 58:16mean, wow. Mmm.
- 58:24I would say. I would say sec.
- 58:30My man. Thanks, absolutely.
- 58:35Yes. And why?
- 58:40We just need two more. Yes.
- 59:15Would you rather? Okay, what is your Not you, the
- 59:21athlete. You the coach.
- 59:24What is your favorite indoor venue to compete at?
- 59:31Um, my favorite indoor venue to compete at his Arkansas.
- 59:42I mean, just magical things tend to happen in that place and you
- 59:50know, I can say that I got a taste of the SEC, meet in
- 59:55Arkansas, sir lucious remembers that and yeah, I mean it's just
- 1:00:03it just means more quickly. Obviously, it's been well
- 1:00:16documented that you were at a truly, truly, historically Elite
- 1:00:20long jumper. So, I think you have the
- 1:00:22wherewithal to answer this question for many others.
- 1:00:26Do you think, which Mark do you think is superior?
- 1:00:30Carl Lewis is indoor world record in the long.
- 1:00:32Jump or Mike Powell's Outdoor Rec right there.
- 1:00:35Stop stop right there. Educate the world.
- 1:00:40Okay, I mean not not only is Carl Lewis has indoor record.
- 1:00:47Never going to be broken. Nope.
- 1:00:52Okay, if any if they did a 30 for 30, To talk about what led
- 1:01:01up to that world record and what actually happened that night.
- 1:01:08Like people don't even understand that Carol took
- 1:01:12plywood and added it on to the end of the runway.
- 1:01:19So Karl could fit his approach on in because the venue was way,
- 1:01:24too small, first of all, and not only that if anybody looked at
- 1:01:30where he landed. Yeah, I mean we're talking about
- 1:01:36literally he literally almost committed suicide.
- 1:01:41It was just, it was definitely a suicide mission.
- 1:01:44So so yeah I mean will we ever see the likes of that it?
- 1:01:49No sorry. So, I mean 28 feet indoors is so
- 1:01:54far. It is and to be 2810.
- 1:01:58Yes, absolutely. Yeah, I'm sorry, because the
- 1:02:02next time we get the governor on, would you rather this will
- 1:02:05be way too long gone. So I have to ask him the NFL
- 1:02:08playoffs or around the corner. Sir, would you rather would you
- 1:02:13rather? The Cowboys head to Tampa Bay to
- 1:02:18face John Wick or anywhere else. I would rather the Cowboys go to
- 1:02:26Tampa Bay. I love it.
- 1:02:29I want this to happen. Exterminate John Wick my God.
- 1:02:38Three three or four interceptions later I that's
- 1:02:42what I'm doing. Noted noted.
- 1:02:49That's no good. Very, very old.
- 1:03:02But this is why we're having the player is teetering right now.
- 1:03:08Like the fact that like what what?
- 1:03:15All I know is this they messed around and let that bad man,
- 1:03:19back into the playoffs, not one Soul wants to play the Panthers.
- 1:03:25Nope, right now. Nope.
- 1:03:28What, what? All right.
- 1:03:36So last but definitely not least always giving out some props
- 1:03:40when we can heartbeat props. Shout out to those, who can hear
- 1:03:44them and receive them and enjoy them.
- 1:03:48I'll say, recently, in this was even going into the last
- 1:03:51episode, so I apologize for the timeliness of it, but it just
- 1:03:53keeps popping up on my timeline, the five, female athletic and
- 1:03:58This traitorous in the meac, it just looks good.
- 1:04:02So shout out to them on doing it, right?
- 1:04:04And being there. And I understand from
- 1:04:07conversations that I've had with some administrators that that's
- 1:04:09within the app does. And I don't care if that's what
- 1:04:11they do. It looks good and it looks good
- 1:04:13on them. So maybe it just means more to
- 1:04:16them as well. I mean there you go.
- 1:04:19Alright so I just I love the cannot.
- 1:04:23It's not a concept. I love The Hires.
- 1:04:26I love what's going on and maybe there's some inner twinings that
- 1:04:29I don't know about, and they're not the greatest, but They're in
- 1:04:33the position to succeed and that's the first part of it is
- 1:04:35being put in the position. So ladies have talked to you and
- 1:04:39and rock it out. I'm going to keep mine pretty
- 1:04:42short. Shout out to teasing you.
- 1:04:47I can't I can't help rocks. Go frogs.
- 1:04:51That was Unreal. Unlike all of you.
- 1:04:56I can make bets and I told you all, there's a couple people who
- 1:05:05live in the midwest. Who would not stop talking to
- 1:05:08me, they were talking trash during the game and I kept
- 1:05:12telling them bring me my money. Are you are you betting again?
- 1:05:22Several hundred dollars later. I can't find any of these people
- 1:05:28who want to bet me again mmm-hmm.
- 1:05:32Right? Because look, what where the
- 1:05:34real money would have been, right?
- 1:05:35Is if you took to see you from the beginning because the odds
- 1:05:40were sixteen hundred to one. Wow.
- 1:05:45Wow. Right.
- 1:05:46So, if you had bet some money two weeks ago, You are nervous
- 1:05:54right now. Like your little my God.
- 1:05:56Here's what I will also say in and I'll pay homage to the state
- 1:06:01of Ohio. I think the blueprint for
- 1:06:04beating beating Georgia, has been put out there, right?
- 1:06:10It is quite literally, just go watch the game and you will see
- 1:06:15the blueprint to beating Georgia.
- 1:06:16It is pretty simple. Now, can you execute it for four
- 1:06:20quarters? That's that's another story but
- 1:06:23man, it's pretty clear. It'll be interesting because
- 1:06:29look there's a lot of athleticism is going to be on
- 1:06:32that field are the products. Anyway, my heartbeat props are
- 1:06:40actually on the football field, my heartbeat props.
- 1:06:43Not only go to the obvious of which more Hamlin and his
- 1:06:47family, but honestly, it goes to the entire NFL family.
- 1:06:53I watch very intently, well, GE Ryan, Clark Shannon Sharpe like
- 1:07:00people who Gladiators like played this game.
- 1:07:03Never seen anything of that nature happened before, like the
- 1:07:07entire league is hurting right now.
- 1:07:12And you know, the one thing that the NFL football players in NFL
- 1:07:16league in general don't ever get is our sympathy.
- 1:07:19Is our prayers, right? And that entire group of people.
- 1:07:27Probably need. You know, emotional support and
- 1:07:31conversation that they've never actually had before.
- 1:07:36And I don't mean the entire group of the bills or of the
- 1:07:40Bangles the entire league. Because the truly innocuous and
- 1:07:48subtle nature of the incident, I think is what is causing the
- 1:07:54entire league to take pause. That they hit happens, 100 times
- 1:07:59a game in every game. So that's that's my thoughts on
- 1:08:06the week. Mine is in the same Arena.
- 1:08:11I mean, I think we all heart be props to mr.
- 1:08:15Hamlin, and who looks like, he's further along today than he was
- 1:08:22yesterday. And that's all anybody can hope
- 1:08:24for, right? Yeah, but in all of this, I
- 1:08:28think the people who aren't getting enough props, Are
- 1:08:33literally the First Responders who saved his life.
- 1:08:37You have these people, not just those people on that day, but
- 1:08:42these people in general Coast to Coast Regardless of whether they
- 1:08:47work in sports or just everyday, you know, firefighters and you
- 1:08:52know, ambulance EMTs. Like these people are amazing
- 1:08:58and make no mistake about it. The more Hamlin is not alive if
- 1:09:02not for the incredible work of those First Responders, you
- 1:09:05know? It's those people never get
- 1:09:08enough credit. They never get enough attention
- 1:09:12and you know, Heroes across the board every day, all of them and
- 1:09:19you know that we are all fortunate today.
- 1:09:23So happened to have been there doing their jobs in the elite
- 1:09:27way that they do them because no one needed to see that that kid
- 1:09:31died on field. Yeah.
- 1:09:33It's those people that prevented that from happening.
- 1:09:36And I don't know if anyone's seen the video, the hospital
- 1:09:41really hasn't released updates, right?
- 1:09:43But his uncle came out, they brought they had to resuscitate
- 1:09:47him twice once on the field. And once, when they arrived at
- 1:09:53the hospital, so listen, CPR is something anybody can learn,
- 1:10:00it's usually free to learn it. We all are required to because
- 1:10:07learn how to do that stuff because you just might end up in
- 1:10:10a situation where you need to save somebody's life.
- 1:10:14Surah Lucius. I don't, I don't know what
- 1:10:20you're going to say, but I would not rest, I wouldn't it
- 1:10:24wouldn't. It wouldn't be.
- 1:10:28I have to say our IP is very Thomas.
- 1:10:33Yes, I don't know if that was what you were going to say that
- 1:10:37wasn't. But Okay, but well, it was it
- 1:10:41was part of it but it's good. Okay.
- 1:10:46Yeah. I mean about someone that, you
- 1:10:49know, he was a blind when I was at Rice.
- 1:10:53And you know, he made several USA teams great friend there was
- 1:11:00nothing that was more enjoyable than watching.
- 1:11:04Eric bounce off of Kelvin Davis those two together was I mean
- 1:11:12they could have had their own sitcom in my opinion.
- 1:11:15I mean it was it was just but yeah I mean the suddenness of
- 1:11:21it. The circumstances coming off of
- 1:11:25hip surgery and you know everything that led to it.
- 1:11:31I mean it's just it's still shocking to me.
- 1:11:35He was a pillar of the community in Houston and the effects you
- 1:11:42know of his loss will be felt for four years to come.
- 1:11:45So Harvey props, rest in peace, Eric Thomas.
- 1:11:53What's that sir? You know, I know it seems like I
- 1:11:57am beaten this horse, but I'm going to talk about mental
- 1:12:00health again. I in the last two weeks, I've
- 1:12:05had two people within my extended family.
- 1:12:09Try to take their lives and we have to, we have to pay
- 1:12:15attention. We have to check on our people.
- 1:12:17We have to listen to their cries for help and I know it's hard
- 1:12:23but we get caught up in our own lives, but if there's somebody
- 1:12:27out there, you love and you care about interacting different man,
- 1:12:31let him cry on your shoulder. You'll learn to pick up people,
- 1:12:34don't let people lean on you so they don't fall.
- 1:12:36But, you know, there's two. We we hear these stories every
- 1:12:39day and it's hitting close to home and I just need you to
- 1:12:43check when your people you know, listen to him you know you never
- 1:12:46know. One phone call one text message,
- 1:12:50May save a life so don't be afraid to reach out of people
- 1:12:52love know you love them and let them know you're there for with
- 1:12:54you. Amen.
- 1:12:59All right. Well with that said, Thank you
- 1:13:02gentlemen for your time this evening for knowledge and for
- 1:13:05your words. But other than that everyone, I
- 1:13:09hope you enjoyed and we'll see you again next week.
- 1:13:12Bye everyone. Would you like to come on?
- 1:13:16Do not stick to running with the lights?
- 1:13:18Come on.
