Latest / The Slippery Slope / Unlawful Arrests in Victoria
Transcript
- 0:05Boy, Jacob Allen. Thanks for listening to the
- 0:07slippery slope. So listen, I saw her story it
- 0:11was last week and Andrew bolt was talking to have yemeni, and
- 0:18there were talking about the well RVs.
- 0:21Security guard was arrested by the Victorian police.
- 0:26And in the end, Victorian police had to have to compensate his
- 0:31security guard. Thirty thousand dollars.
- 0:37Now, you know, there were there's a lot of things that's
- 0:41going on in Australia regarding police in the last couple of
- 0:44years. Personally, I feel like police
- 0:48have misused a lot of their powers and I hit commentators
- 0:53putting everything back on on the political powers in on the
- 1:00hierarchy. I personally think that they're
- 1:02letting some of the police. The on the ground, police
- 1:06deleting them off a little too easily.
- 1:09Personally, because for instance, when I was at the
- 1:11Academy, what you were told was at that, you are a police
- 1:15officer, you're not a soldier, you're not supposed to just
- 1:20mindlessly. Follow orders your father,
- 1:23you're supposed to follow orders.
- 1:26But if you believe, if you can see that there's something wrong
- 1:30with the orders that there's something unlawful, they can't
- 1:34be justified. Immoral unethical.
- 1:39It's up to you to stand up and question orders.
- 1:41You're not a soldier. You're a police officer.
- 1:46And I believe police officer from Constable to, senior
- 1:50sergeant. Not sure about the rest, the
- 1:53other grades, but yeah. That your your role is to serve
- 2:02the community where you're living.
- 2:04That's your role to serve the community to uphold Justice to
- 2:10uphold Law and Order. It's not to bully.
- 2:14It's not meant that you can intimidate people.
- 2:19These are things you're not supposed to do.
- 2:22So I was listening to this report.
- 2:24I'll see if I can share some of the videos that are sore.
- 2:28But so are we yemeni talking to all the one I saw was when he
- 2:32was talking to Andrew bolt about the security guard.
- 2:37So I'll bring this up walls, or share this for you.
- 2:48God, during one of the lockdown protests where he was protecting
- 2:51me while covering the other side of the story because they are
- 2:54Kim revealed that the matter has, finally settled with police
- 2:58forced to pay a massive six figures in Damages.
- 3:05So that's, that's our be okay, reporting that.
- 3:08Yeah, his security guard, six figures 150,000, believe it was,
- 3:13I believe, that's what they should be reported. 150,000 for
- 3:17an unlawful arrest. The reason why I want to talk
- 3:22about this. So last year, I also did an
- 3:25episode last year in September. I'm gonna bring this up and show
- 3:29you now. This is regarding the police
- 3:34another woman charged with, with incitement they went and
- 3:39arrested this lady about just before 9:00 at night in her
- 3:43pajamas. She's pregnant she's like 30
- 3:46something tiny little thing. The rest are in her pajamas for
- 3:51For something, for a post that she put up on Facebook and it
- 3:58was just going to show you. He's the episode I did, this is
- 4:01the episode. The comes up on my on the
- 4:06slippery. Slope spot podcast area.
- 4:10If you can go you can go to the Spotify and look so it's please
- 4:14drop into lockdown, incitement charges against Ballarat, woman,
- 4:18Zoey Bueller. So and the reason why I want to
- 4:22talk about Zoe last year is because I'd seen this numerous
- 4:26times when police in my opinion. Okay, just my opinion, they
- 4:31misusing Powers they go and arrest.
- 4:33Someone like Zoe, they know very well.
- 4:36The arrest is well while it may be, May slightly may it may be
- 4:44lawful, it's not warranted. It can't be really can't be
- 4:48justified. The amount of force the
- 4:50intimidation that they use. Yeah, it's just wrong in what
- 4:56they do and yet they go, they arrested.
- 4:59Yeah, someone like like Zoe, you know, and then hold these
- 5:05charges overhead. I think that the, the worst
- 5:07thing about it is the whole discharged over her head and
- 5:11then and then they decide to years later that they are going
- 5:17to Begin to drop the charges. So Zoe in the end in the end.
- 5:23She never got to have her day in court.
- 5:26Because they held the charges overhead.
- 5:29You can't move on. You can't makes it harder to get
- 5:33on with your life because you've got serious charges hanging over
- 5:36your head. You waiting around for your
- 5:38court date, two years. And then at the last minute,
- 5:40they decide what I don't think that aside.
- 5:43I think that they knew a long time, perlier that, they would
- 5:47drop the charges before she can go to court, they dropped the
- 5:49charges because they know that they're going to lose.
- 5:53So, you had that. now, you also had In in the state of Victoria.
- 6:00Again you also had the pastor who was arrested again charged
- 6:09with incitement. He was also held it was also
- 6:16held in in solitary, No bail held in remand for seven days,
- 6:25believe it was, but he will listen to Alan Jones talking
- 6:29about this. Monica, well, done on the
- 6:34interest you've mobilized but there's some Dreadful stuff
- 6:37going on. Isn't that what is the story
- 6:39about Pastor Paul Furlong? Well, you know, when a pastor
- 6:45who runs a charitable organization and goes overseas
- 6:48to Asia, to save children from sex, trafficking and poverty.
- 6:51If he is a criminal for trying to run a prayer service on a
- 6:54Sunday for the people that need him for that.
- 6:58If he's a criminal Allen, then this is a, this is a worrying.
- 7:02He refused. He refused Monica didn't close
- 7:04his church, so he's now I believe in custody without bail,
- 7:10that is correct. They actually raided his home as
- 7:12well. They actually arrested him
- 7:14before the service. The service did go on without
- 7:17him. But yes, he's in custody without
- 7:19bail and his not pleading guilty to incitement because he doesn't
- 7:22believe that's a crime, that is committed to the.
- 7:28So you had this this all happened during the Cove
- 7:30lockdowns or whatever. What about twenty?
- 7:32Twenty one, twenty twenty twenty twenty one.
- 7:37You had the past arrested. You had that Zoe Bueller
- 7:41arrested incitement in citement, you know, you had Arby's
- 7:46security guard, you know, on the ground.
- 7:50Handcuffed Unlawfully arrested, are you?
- 7:55Okay we'll give you 150 thousand dollar payout, RV himself.
- 8:01Also had a, he was issued an apology.
- 8:04I'll see if I can bring that up here and a lot of you probably
- 8:09knew about this from again from Victorian police.
- 8:14So it says here, you know 26th of January 2020, yemeni was
- 8:20arrested conducting numerous video interviews with pay the
- 8:26rent protesters again, 5th of September 20 2011.
- 8:29He was arrested Victoria. Please by Victorian police.
- 8:33Conducting numerous video interviews recording events at
- 8:36the lockout law rally 26 of Jan. 20 21 detained by Victoria
- 8:41Police. While conducting video
- 8:43interviews. On each occasion, mr.
- 8:46Yemeni was wrongfully, wrongfully arrested and detained
- 8:51by members of Victoria Police. So, you know Victoria Police
- 8:57sincerely. Sincerely apologizes.
- 9:04Pull the hood an embarrassment. So you know, you've got this,
- 9:10pastor did nothing wrong. He puts out a Facebook notice
- 9:14saying, hey, I'm not shutting the church down.
- 9:18We closed down for a little bit. We reopened they've announced
- 9:22another shutdown. I'm opening up.
- 9:25This is not right. It is actually Well, it's
- 9:29against what the Bible teaches. You're not supposed to forsake.
- 9:35Coming together of the Saints, especially in the last days
- 9:38thing says, in Ephesians 10, something like that.
- 9:41Anyway, it's just not not supposed to do it.
- 9:44Okay. As a Christian, you're on and as
- 9:47a pastor, you were really obligated to keep your
- 9:51church-going. Then you have Zoe, Bueller.
- 9:54As I reported on in September of last year, you know, she has
- 9:59these charges for incitement hanging over her head, Police
- 10:03use this. And it's is this is this is my
- 10:06main concern at the moment with police all around Australia, the
- 10:11government using police as their own personal Army military using
- 10:20them to go and crack down on innocent people ladies wearing
- 10:24pajamas, who are pregnant little things that were like you know,
- 10:28five foot nothing. Let's go and arrest her and put
- 10:31handcuffs on her a 9:00 at night and then they'll just hang those
- 10:35charges over people. As a as a way of controlling
- 10:39people, you know the pastor wasn't allowed to talk about
- 10:42anything, not allowed to discuss anything with RVs, security
- 10:46guard, who's arrested, unlawfully given this good
- 10:50payout 150,000. I hope he wasn't hurt because if
- 10:54you was hurt if he's injured, 150,000 isn't enough but any gay
- 10:59given a hundred fifty thousand dollars, still he's not allowed
- 11:03to talk about it. He can't talk about it.
- 11:06RV went on and And did a reporter about it, but the
- 11:09security guard, I believe what I've heard, he's not allowed to
- 11:13discuss anything. And then I'll be himself.
- 11:18Okay, who was apologize for being arrested or detained?
- 11:23Was it three times? Unlawfully.
- 11:30So you've got all this and then let's look at this story.
- 11:36The Lord's Prayer could be dumped from Victorian Parliament
- 11:41again, Victoria. So this happened, I believe is
- 11:43just last week. So Victorian Parliament, returns
- 11:47for 2023 and peas will once again, rise to the Lord's
- 11:51Prayer, regardless of their religious beliefs, however, but
- 11:56days appear numbered for the long-standing tradition.
- 12:00The and, and now the Lord's Prayer, the government.
- 12:06They don't want the Lord's Prayer.
- 12:07The Andrews government. Labor governments made an
- 12:09election promise to Workshop replacement for the Lord's
- 12:12Prayer, at the start of this term.
- 12:15The commitment was brokered up. The crossbencher Fiona, pattern
- 12:19pitched Motion in 2021 to replace the prayer in the upper
- 12:22house with the moment of Silent reflection.
- 12:25When I moved back by some religious figures Miss Payton
- 12:30and atheist lost Upper House seat, but has initiated a
- 12:34petition to encourage people. So she lost her seat, she lost
- 12:40her seat and they're still running with this petition.
- 12:43Anyway to write to Premier, Daniel Andrews and attorney
- 12:46general. Jaclyn Simmons to honor their
- 12:49promise There's something rotten in Victoria.
- 13:00There's something rotten in the Victorian government.
- 13:04There's something rotten in our police.
- 13:11And not just the police in Victorian, the police in the
- 13:14whole nation at the moment, I believe.
- 13:17Police as we could see with all those examples of Victoria a
- 13:22quick for one that I just don't under, I don't know, I find it
- 13:27hard to understand whether they just don't know the law and they
- 13:32don't know what they're actually allowed to do.
- 13:36Or they just they know and they just don't care.
- 13:40How can you arrest? Someone was it three separate
- 13:44times. And at their all unlawful
- 13:47arrests. How does that happen?
- 13:50And, and then you arrest his security guard as well.
- 13:53And that's an unlawful arrest and you have to pay 150 Grand.
- 13:59How can you rest? Not just arrest.
- 14:03You go to a woman's house just before 9:00 at night because you
- 14:06know that's when the warrants get kicked out and then she's in
- 14:11her pajamas. She's five foot nothing.
- 14:13You got four people standing around you, put handcuffs on it.
- 14:16She's pregnant. And then you'll just leave those
- 14:20charges hanging over as a nice little reminder, nice little
- 14:23threat for two years. You arrest the pastor for
- 14:29incitement because he said he's going to have church tomorrow.
- 14:34Leave the charges hanging. Hold him in remand.
- 14:37There's something rotten. Within the police.
- 14:41And with the, in the Victorian government, there's something
- 14:45foul. I think what it is is there
- 14:50disdain? Towards God.
- 14:54Towards the Bible towards anything holy their absolute
- 15:00disdain. Why I want to talk about all of
- 15:04this? Because I know, I don't believe
- 15:06it's just, I believe there's a correlation between Victoria's
- 15:10disdain for Christian values. Christian morals, the Bible, the
- 15:16god of the Bible, their disdain, for the god of the Bible, I
- 15:22believe is a direct correlation between that and the way, the
- 15:25state of Victoria is run the way they use their police more as a
- 15:29military rather than actual police.
- 15:32And I believe the nation as a whole is seeing a move away from
- 15:37police officers, who actually know the law who actually know
- 15:41how to hop uphold the law and arrest lawfully, and
- 15:47justifiably. And instead we want a police
- 15:50force That will just follow orders will not question
- 15:56anything. We want police in their
- 15:59prosecution that will gleefully joyfully, just hold charges
- 16:03over. People least that don't want.
- 16:08I'm not saying it's all police. Please hear me that a lot of
- 16:11really good police out there still, I know know a lot of
- 16:14them, but we're getting a younger crowd moving in that.
- 16:19That seemed to be. Way more likely to arrest first.
- 16:25Ask questions later. Just follow.
- 16:28Yep. Are going to rest in my car.
- 16:29I'll go into that. Have no idea why as we see
- 16:34what's happening Victoria just doing unlawful arrests.
- 16:39If you, if you think about what's happened with the harbor,
- 16:42he would think. Well, every every second time he
- 16:45deals at least it's unlawful on their behalf, But what is
- 16:52happening in our nation. What is happening in the state
- 16:55of Victoria? There's something completely
- 16:59foul. Happening in the state of
- 17:03Victoria. And it's seeping across the rest
- 17:07of the nation. And when I saw this the video
- 17:13when RV made the announcement, they were talking.
- 17:14He was talking with the thing was, Andrew bolt was where I
- 17:17first saw the report about how Victorian police had to pay his
- 17:20security guard, 150,000 for an unlawful arrest.
- 17:26I just thought this. This has happened just way too
- 17:29many times. We the people cannot just allow
- 17:36these things to keep happening. We cannot just sit idly by and
- 17:42allow people to be arrested for Such trivial things, as what
- 17:47they say is incitement. But when it's just someone
- 17:50putting a post up inventing on Facebook, someone putting a post
- 17:55up and saying, hey, we're going to go, we're going to have
- 17:57church tomorrow, someone doing their job, and they've got a
- 18:00security guard there and then it security guard.
- 18:03Gets arrested. Someone doing their job and gets
- 18:06arrested multiple times at every time.
- 18:09Unlawful. But it's happening way too much
- 18:13in Australia saw that report thought men you got 150 Grand.
- 18:18Yeah. But what about all those other
- 18:21people who didn't get the apology like our be got, who
- 18:25didn't get the 150 Grand? Who just went through the
- 18:29torture of being charged, getting held getting arrested
- 18:33and put inside of a cell and put inside the watch House.
- 18:38Good people. Who go through, what's really a
- 18:42disgusting and dehumanizing. Act.
- 18:48And, you know, I've if you're a criminal, if you're if you're a
- 18:51thug, other guy got no pity for you. but if you just been, at
- 18:58the mercy of police who were just abusing their powers and
- 19:02not just the police, but the government who are abusing their
- 19:05powers, why is it that we Australians are just allowing
- 19:09these things to continue on and we're sitting idly by serious
- 19:15question. Where are we as a nation where
- 19:19we, we stop. We stop pushing back, and
- 19:28another name mean pushing back unlawfully and causing harm to
- 19:32other people. But you know, we stop pushing
- 19:38back and making a noise making a voice heard.
- 19:42Pushing back and say nana, we cannot just allow the government
- 19:46and the year in the place. To just to just keep moving on
- 19:53and just forget about. The sins of the past which is
- 19:57only 1 year to year and three year ago.
- 20:00Keep reminding. How you did this to us.
- 20:04You did this to us. You remember that?
- 20:06Remember what you did to the Past, remember what you did that
- 20:08woman? Remember all the unlawful rest
- 20:10that you did. When the covid lockdowns were
- 20:13on, you did that to us because if we don't stand up and keep
- 20:16putting it in their face and keep reminding the government
- 20:19that they allowed unlawful arrests, they alleged charges to
- 20:25hang over people's heads. And then pull them at the last
- 20:29minute. Unjustifiable arrests,
- 20:32unjustifiable charges. If we don't keep reminding
- 20:35governments and we don't hold them accountable.
- 20:40We really know better. We have to stand up holding
- 20:48government accountable. Hold a government figures
- 20:51accountable. Make sure I have police.
- 20:55Are accountable. It's not good enough.
- 20:59To arrest someone unlawfully. You are assaulting them.
- 21:06You're guilty of an assault. When you are, when you arrest
- 21:11someone unlawfully and yet you just led to walk away and say oh
- 21:18he's an apology letter or hear the government's going to give
- 21:20you some money or here which can drop the charges now?
- 21:23Forget about it. This is not good enough.
- 21:28Let me know what you think. Thank you for listening to the
- 21:33slippery slope. Thank you for listening to the
- 21:33slippery slope.
