  this chapter two, the diagnosis and everything around it.

  This is Angel Santana. Welcome to chapter two.

  And today we're talking about the diagnosis, not just the moment itself,

  but everything that comes with it.

  I remember sitting there, listening, processing, trying to take it all in.

  And it's strange because time doesn't stop, but it kind of feels like it does for a second.

  You hear the words, and even if you were expecting it, it still lands.

  But I want to be honest with all of you, and I want to be honest about something.

  My struggle wasn't the diagnosis itself. It wasn't fear of the word autism.

  It was everything that came after.

  It was the question that hit me almost

  i do next am i ready for this because in that moment it's not just information

  anymore it becomes responsibility and there's a of emotions that people don't

  always talk about you can feel love and concern and determination all at the same time.

  You're not giving up. You're not defeated. But you are aware now.

  And awareness changes everything.

  That's when your mindset starts shifting. You go from wondering to preparing.

  From questioning to learning.
• 2:28
  And even though you don't have all the answers, you start moving anyway.

  And for me, this is where Faith really stepped in. Because I didn't have a roadmap.

  I didn't know what every next step would look like, but I trusted that God, you know, I knew God did.

  Not that everything would be easy, but that I wouldn't walk alone.

  So if you're in that moment right now, just receiving the diagnosis and trying

  to figure out what it all means, I want you to take a breath because you don't
• 3:05
  have to have it all figured out today.

  Chapter three will be tomorrow. We're going to talk about building a safe space,

  creating an environment where your child can thrive. And we're going to do that together.
