- 0:18Hello, and welcome to episode 292 of the All Systems Go Sports
- 0:24Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:28I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone?
- 0:36Happy Wednesday. It's officially hump day halfway
- 0:39through our work week in the first week of June.
- 0:43Before you know, it'll be Thirsty Thursday, Friday, and
- 0:45then another big weekend here guys upcoming.
- 0:47And then again, I like to get ahead of myself, at least know
- 0:50what's going on. We're grinding baseball.
- 0:51It's what we love to do. We're going to do it again
- 0:53today. But you know what?
- 0:544th of July, Nathan's hot dog eating contest.
- 0:57Yes, I'm one of those weird people who loves betting on the
- 1:00hot dog contest. So before you know it, we'll
- 1:02have some fireworks and hot dogs going on and then my new book
- 1:06will come out August 12th. And then of course, before you
- 1:09know, we're going to have NFL and college football here.
- 1:11So I don't want to get too ahead of ourselves.
- 1:13You do have a lot of baseball, you have some NBA and NHL
- 1:16Stanley Cup Finals and NBA Finals, so a lot to get to as
- 1:20always in the world of sports. But for today, I do have another
- 1:233 pack of MLB plays for you, including one short favorite and
- 1:29a couple bigger favorites that had some big, big line movement.
- 1:31And one in particular that I thought was a great example of
- 1:34how to use the Odds logic live odds page to identify Steam.
- 1:38We're going to talk about what is Steam?
- 1:40It's OK, You might hear me say it all the time.
- 1:42They got steam, big steam moves coming in, yadda, yadda, yadda,
- 1:45for your Seinfeld fans. But what does it actually mean
- 1:47and how can you identify it and locate it and take advantage of
- 1:50it? So I do want to hit on that,
- 1:52which will be one of the plays here for tonight.
- 1:55Then of course, just seeing if we can eke out another winning
- 1:56Day, 2IN1 last night, so we're able to kept our keep our
- 2:00winning vibes going. And again, chipping away at MLB.
- 2:04You know, you look at yesterday's podcast, what was
- 2:06it? 2 and 1 + 0.47 units.
- 2:09That's actually Monday, last night, another 2 and 1 + 0.41
- 2:13units. So some people might scoff at,
- 2:15hey, 1/4 of a unit here, 1/4 of a unit there.
- 2:18I don't scoff at that. The goal of baseball is it's a
- 2:21volume sport. There's a lot of games every
- 2:23single day for a very long, long season.
- 2:25So if you can just consistently stack limit your big losing
- 2:28days, you know, hey, it's happened to us.
- 2:30O and three, O and five. That happens sometimes and you
- 2:32really get frustrated by it. But the goal is to just chip
- 2:35away at as many positive nights as you possibly can and then see
- 2:38where it all stacks up at the end of the year.
- 2:40So as I mentioned, second straight winning day, we'll take
- 2:43it 2 and 1 + 0.41 units. Last night we had the Cubbies
- 2:47come through Bigley for the team.
- 2:49They poured it on late. They're actually down, I think
- 2:51were they down 1 nothing or two? Nothing there early and then
- 2:54their bats came alive. Cubbies got a nice win for us
- 2:56and then Tampa Bay Rays. Rays got it done.
- 2:59That was basically a nothing nothing game.
- 3:00One nothing game and then their bats came alive, I think 7th,
- 3:038th inning. So I was great to see.
- 3:05Only loser was probably the game you didn't expect to lose.
- 3:08Detroit Tigers, they've been so good this year.
- 3:10Lost 8 to 1. So what are you going to do?
- 3:12Hey, sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut with the
- 3:15White Sox in that one. And what are you going to do?
- 3:18Hey not doesn't happen often, but either way you make 3 bets,
- 3:21go 2 and one. That's always our goal.
- 3:23And I always see on Twitter like people are like, oh let's let's
- 3:26crush the box, let's sweep the board.
- 3:28I just think you set yourself up for disappointment there.
- 3:30It's always about grinding. Never be too arrogant or cocky,
- 3:34even when you're hot. You know, we're grinding some of
- 3:36these two and one days winning days.
- 3:38Doesn't mean we get cocky and then bet seven games a night
- 3:40because we want to get more money.
- 3:42No, we just stick to what's working and continue to
- 3:44consistently sharp but disciplined grinders with
- 3:47blinders as an old friend of mine, Danner B, once said to me.
- 3:50So anyway guys, 3 pack of plays for today and then we'll see if
- 3:54we can post another winning day, which is always the goal.
- 3:57So without further ado, let's get right into it.
- 3:59Doing what we love to do, betting on data-driven, sharp,
- 4:02contrarian MLB plays. I will mention just real quick
- 4:05the NHL Stanley Cup opener today.
- 4:08I didn't play it, but I did see you had Edmonton fall a little
- 4:11bit. I think the Oilers were one
- 4:13point -125 they're down to like -120 -, 115.
- 4:16I did see a little bit of money hit under 6 1/2, saw that line
- 4:20get back down to six. So whatever you do in the NHLI,
- 4:23wish the best of luck to you As a Bruins fan, I'm rooting for
- 4:26the Florida Panthers because I love Brad Marshall and I want
- 4:29him to host hoist another Cup. So again, whether you play a
- 4:33side or a total, good luck tonight, but I'm going to stick
- 4:36to baseball here. So with that being said, let's
- 4:38dive right in. First bet on the board for me,
- 4:406:45 PM Eastern Time. First pitch going right back to
- 4:45the nation's capital, Washington Nationals hosting the Chicago
- 4:48Cubbies. So let's set the stage here.
- 4:50Talk some line movement. I'll give you my play for this
- 4:52one. Now going into it, we have seen
- 4:55the Cubs who are 38 and 22 take the opener last night for us,
- 4:57which was great. 8 to 3 winner taking care of business as a -,
- 5:01145 Rd. favorite. For tonight, we do have the Cubs
- 5:05going with the lefty Matthew Boyd.
- 5:07He's five and two with a three-point O 8 ERA.
- 5:10I was good offseason pick up lefty and the Nationals, by the
- 5:13way, 28 and 32. They're going to counter with
- 5:15fellow young gun southpaw Mackenzie Gore.
- 5:18He's two and five with a 3.16 ERA.
- 5:20So what have you seen across the market for this one?
- 5:23Well, we saw the Chicago Cubs open as low as a -, 125 Rd.
- 5:27favorite Nationals around a + 110 home dog.
- 5:30And you know what the wise guys are saying?
- 5:32They're saying, hey, Cubs are a good team.
- 5:34That's a short number. Let's ride the hot hands.
- 5:36So we've seen some money hit the Cubbies here steaming up Chicago
- 5:39-125 up to -135 some shops even as high as -140 you should still
- 5:45be able to get a -, 135. I saw ESPN bet and Caesar's
- 5:49still have that number. But again, shop around because
- 5:51some books closer to -140 but I laid it with the Cubs -135 I
- 5:55like that line move to start with.
- 5:57Now let's layer on a couple other factors here to support
- 6:00Chicago. Well, one good bet split.
- 6:02If you look at DraftKings right now, the Cubbies 78% of money
- 6:06line bets, 82% of money line dollars and then out at Circa in
- 6:10Vegas, 60% of money line bets, nearly 70% of money line
- 6:15dollars. So you have both DraftKings and
- 6:17Circa, the national public DraftKings as well as Sharp
- 6:21Wiseguy book out in Vegas, which you never been a Circa.
- 6:24You got to get out there. It's awesome.
- 6:25I've been there many times, but both low bets, higher dollar
- 6:28splits, pro and Joe action in favor of Chicago, which also
- 6:31lines up with that line move toward Chicago.
- 6:34Now we do have Chicago as a non division favorite.
- 6:37So lack of familiarity benefiting quote UN quote the
- 6:40better team. And also we have a sweet spot
- 6:42non division Rd. favorite when you are between -135 and -160 as
- 6:47a quote UN quote sweet spot when you're a non division favorite
- 6:50like the Cubs in the spot. Those teams are 38 and 2066
- 6:54percent, 10% ROI this year. Chicago, I'm going to lean on
- 6:58their bats. I'm hoping Kyle Tucker is in
- 7:01this game tonight. I got nervous because he was not
- 7:03in the lineup yesterday, which is why you saw that line dip a
- 7:04little bit away to the Cubbies. I think he's got a finger issue
- 7:08again, I hope he plays tonight. But we do have Chicago with the
- 7:11better bats overall. They're hitting 262 on the year,
- 7:1481 homers, 349 runs scored. You know, Washington hitting
- 7:1924460 homers, 268 runs scored. Also, I did notice and it came
- 7:25through last night. Hope it comes through again
- 7:27tonight. Cubbies hit very well on the
- 7:29road. We know they love Wrigley, very
- 7:31carry. But we do have the Cubs hitting
- 7:34277 on the road. That's the best in baseball.
- 7:38Meanwhile, they're also hitting 261 against lefties.
- 7:40Remember 2 lefties here tonight, Boyd and Gore, Cubs 261.
- 7:44That's six best in baseball. That's only hitting 234 against
- 7:48lefties. That ranks 17th.
- 7:50Chicago also has the better bullpen team, ERA of 3.57.
- 7:55Nice to see Presley, you know, hammer down the win last night
- 7:58and not blow it as he did prior this year for us.
- 8:01But we have Washington with a 5.93 bullpen area that is the
- 8:04second worst in baseball in particular the Cubs.
- 8:08Hope this continues. Knock on wood, but they really
- 8:10cleaned up against quote UN quote, bad teams #1 when they're
- 8:14a favorite just against anybody, they're the best chalk team in
- 8:16baseball. When they're laying a minus
- 8:18number, they've gone 29 and 1271 percent, 14% ROI.
- 8:23Or, sorry, that's the second best chalk team in baseball.
- 8:25But as a favorite against a below 500 team, the games you're
- 8:29supposed to win, they're 17 and 674 percent, 13% ROI.
- 8:35Home Rd. We do have the Nats 13 and 15 at
- 8:37home, losing record. Cubs 18 and 11 on the road.
- 8:41So we've seen some line movement toward Chicago.
- 8:43We have some really good bet splits.
- 8:44Got a system match that I love. Better offense, better against
- 8:47lefties, hit very well on the road, better bullpen, great as a
- 8:51chalk favorite and against bad teams.
- 8:53And then lastly, nothing crazy, but I popped open the Juice Reel
- 8:57app found a 5% sharp mush edge on the Cubs.
- 9:01So 5% more of the sharper winning batters are going Cubs
- 9:04as opposed to the more profit division betters who are leaning
- 9:07more on Washington. So add it all up here guys.
- 9:10Cubs are the good, good spot for us.
- 9:12Hopefully in a data-driven play. I got the Cubs -135 next one for
- 9:18you. Let's go to the Bronx.
- 9:20Cleveland Guardians visiting the New York Yankees, 7 O 5:00 PM
- 9:25Eastern Time, First pitch. We have the Yankees 37 and 22 on
- 9:28the year. They won last night's series
- 9:30opener three to two, cashed as a -, 200 home favorite.
- 9:34So in the rematch here for tonight, we got the Guardians
- 9:37who are 32 and 27, going with the righty Luis Ortiz.
- 9:41He's two and six with a 4.4 OERA.
- 9:44Yankees, meanwhile, are going to go with the righty Clark
- 9:46Schmidt. He's two and two with a 3.95
- 9:49ERA. So what have you seen across the
- 9:51market here? Well, this game opened New York
- 9:53around a -, 175 home favorite, Cleveland around a + 145 Rd.
- 9:58dog. And even though that's a big
- 9:59number, sharps don't seem to be scared off by that big number.
- 10:02Sharps have been hammering the Yankees.
- 10:04Yankees have gotten steamed up -175 all the way up to -190 Some
- 10:09shops even closing in on -200 now.
- 10:12I jumped on the Yankees at -185 again.
- 10:15Shop around. I think your best price I
- 10:17believe is -190 right now at Bet MGM.
- 10:20But a couple things like about the Yankees.
- 10:22Aside from that good steam in their favor.
- 10:24They are getting 87% of money line bets and 90% of money line
- 10:29dollars at DraftKings and then at circa 91% of bets, 99% of
- 10:34dollars. So both books are showing a
- 10:37really good heavy one way low bets, higher dollars.
- 10:40Pro and Joe split in favor of the Yankees.
- 10:42Hopefully earn a win tonight. I have a lot of system matches
- 10:46on the Yankees. Again, I don't love laying -185
- 10:48-, 1 nineties, but I will lay them like the Dosakis guy.
- 10:51I don't always drink Dosakis because when I do, you know, I
- 10:55want to get get a big favorite that at least has a lot of
- 10:57system matches. So I have 9 system matches lit
- 11:00up on the Yankees tonight. Here's some of the best ones.
- 11:04Non division home favorites off a win with steam $0.05 or more.
- 11:08Those teams are 96 and 49 this year, 66% with a 4% ROI.
- 11:14Home favorites with a line move in their direction who also made
- 11:17the playoffs the previous year. Those teams are 141 and 5869%
- 11:23with a 10% ROI. And then if you isolate home
- 11:26favorites who made the playoffs the previous year in which
- 11:28they're laying a bigger number, so -185 or more, those teams are
- 11:3277 and 20 this year, nearly 80% with a 13% ROI.
- 11:37So those are all lighting up on New York.
- 11:40We do have the classic non division favorite value as well.
- 11:43Lack of familiarity benefiting quote UN quote.
- 11:45The better team who's expected to win.
- 11:47Yankees offense hopefully shows up tonight, gets to Ortiz.
- 11:51They're hitting 258 on the year, 97 homers, 322 run scored.
- 11:56Guardians are only hitting 234 with 61 homers and 237 run
- 12:00scored. I do want to fade Ortiz.
- 12:03He has a 6.39 ERA on the road versus 2.22 at home.
- 12:08So he's been good at home but just gotten roughed up on the
- 12:10road. Hope that continues tonight.
- 12:12And by the way, Cleveland is just one and four in his last
- 12:14five starts. I want to fade Ortiz, but I do
- 12:17want to back Clark Schmidt tonight.
- 12:18Clark Schmidt posted a 3.14 ERA in five May starts.
- 12:23Pitched well. You only give up tenor and runs
- 12:25in 28.2 and he's pitched and he's also been better at home
- 12:29than on the road. At home. 3.18 ERA versus 4.79 on
- 12:33the road. And we do have some home Rd.
- 12:35splits in favor of New York. I believe New York is the 6th
- 12:38best home team in baseball. They're 19 and 9 at home.
- 12:41The Guardians are just 15 and 16 on the road.
- 12:44So even though it's a big number, it's gotten steamed up
- 12:46further toward the Yankees. We got some system matches
- 12:49lighting up here and we do have the better bats and hopefully
- 12:53again, Schmidt greater than Ortiz.
- 12:56So add it all up here, guys. I got the Bronx bombers -185
- 13:00again, I think your best price is -190 but shop around because
- 13:03some books are inching toward -200 last bit of the night.
- 13:07The the game that I want to use as another example of why you
- 13:10have to give odds logic a shot because it's the best live odds
- 13:13platform around. But this is a 10 O 5:00 PM
- 13:16Eastern Time, first pitch, the Minnesota Twins visiting the
- 13:19Oakland Athletics. There you go, I did it again.
- 13:21The Sacramento A's before they become the Vegas A's, but
- 13:25setting the stage here for this one.
- 13:26The Twins 33 and 27 on the year. They won the first two games of
- 13:30this four-game series. They won the opener, 3:50 as a
- 13:34-, 165 Rd. favorite. Then they won again yesterday,
- 13:372:50 as a -, 210 Rd. favorite. Pitching match up tonight we got
- 13:41the Twins going with the ready Zebby Matthews O and 16.43 RA.
- 13:46The A's who are 23 and 39 are going to go with the lefty
- 13:50Jeffrey Springs. He's five and four with a 4.72
- 13:53ERA. So we seen across the market in
- 13:56this one. Well, this is all about steam,
- 13:58baby. So let's talk a little bit about
- 14:00steam. Minnesota Twins open as a -, 135
- 14:04Rd. favorite. The A's around a + 115 home dog.
- 14:08And it looks like sharps very clearly are laying it with
- 14:11Minnesota to keep the good vibes rolling.
- 14:13Or good times rolling I should say.
- 14:15But they've gotten down hard on the Twins steaming Minnesota up
- 14:18-135 up to -175. That's when I wrote the Sharp
- 14:23report earlier today I jumped on Minnesota at -160 and right now,
- 14:29man, this is a good thing and a bad thing.
- 14:31Good thing that they keep getting hammered.
- 14:33Bad thing. If you haven't bet it yet, looks
- 14:35like your best number I believe is -188 at FanDuel, some shops
- 14:39as high as -195 but all that movement toward Minnesota tells
- 14:44me we got a ton of steam hitting the Twins.
- 14:46Now here's why I wanted to just again highlight and and talk
- 14:50about the odds logic live odds page because I talked about it
- 14:53with you guys every day. You know, you can always give it
- 14:55a 7 day free trial and 50% off your first month by going to
- 14:58oddslogic.com/josh 123. But here's the example.
- 15:04I was writing the sharp report for visen.com earlier today.
- 15:07I think it was maybe 10:30 in the morning.
- 15:09And I have, you know, my, my article that I'm writing with
- 15:12all my different tabs and then I have, I'll take you into my home
- 15:16studio a little bit. I got 2 monitors.
- 15:17You got to have two monitors. That just makes your life so
- 15:19much easier. But anyway, my monitor on the
- 15:21right, I have odds logic in front of me, all the baseball
- 15:25games. And I noticed that the Minnesota
- 15:29Athletics game, every single number got lit up in red.
- 15:33Like out of nowhere, Like I'm sitting there looking at the
- 15:35board, not much is going on. And then boom, all these numbers
- 15:39start to change. All the odds get lit up in red.
- 15:43So the first thing I noticed at the time I wanted to say they
- 15:46were around -160 and I saw every line or every odd from any book
- 15:52on Minnesota, immediately get up to -170 -, 172 -175 S as soon as
- 16:00you saw that. Like this is a great part of the
- 16:02Odds Logic live odds page. All these color-coded
- 16:05timestamps. So the page obviously is in real
- 16:08time, there's no delay. All these direct feeds are to
- 16:11the book. And as soon as the book changes
- 16:13the number, it gets lit up on your odds logic page.
- 16:16But as soon as I saw that, I said, OK, here we go, we got
- 16:18Steam hitting Minnesota. Steam, if you don't know, is a
- 16:22sudden overload of sharp action across the entire marketplace,
- 16:26forcing the entire market to move.
- 16:28Steam is not just when one book moves, it's when the entire
- 16:31market moves. That really tells you there's a
- 16:32consensus. You know, syndicates or wise
- 16:34guys are putting down big amounts, causing the whole
- 16:37market to adjust. So as soon as I saw that, I
- 16:40said, oh, Minnesota's getting hit.
- 16:43Now here's the key. Once it gets lit up and you know
- 16:45that it's moving, if you want to play the Steam.
- 16:48And the key with Steam is that it's it's an indication of smart
- 16:51money, but you got to get the triggering number.
- 16:54Like if you're late to the party, get the worst of it.
- 16:56That's not really the goal. The goal is to identify the
- 16:58steam and then with the odds logic, live odds page, look at
- 17:02every single number and find a number that hasn't moved yet.
- 17:04Because you're going to get your big books like Chris Pinnacle,
- 17:08you know, circa bet online, your big global ones, your sharp
- 17:11books, they're going to move first because they're the first
- 17:14ones getting hit because they have they cater to sharp betters
- 17:17who have, who have high limits. But then you look at the other
- 17:19books, your smaller books, you know, your, I'm not going to say
- 17:23FanDuel and DraftKings are small, but like books that are
- 17:26maybe not quite market setters, but quote UN quote move on air.
- 17:29So they're moving not because they got hit by money, but
- 17:31because the whole markets moving.
- 17:32They want to be with basically the herd.
- 17:35So you got to look for a book that hasn't adjusted yet.
- 17:37And at the time, when I saw Minnesota get steamed up -160 to
- 17:40-175 the whole board lit up. I found that bet MGM was still
- 17:45at -160 So that's what I did. I hopped on Minnesota at -160.
- 17:50Now, how would I have known that if I didn't have the odds logic
- 17:53live odds page, you know, again, I would have been behind the 8
- 17:56ball. That's how odds logic can help
- 17:57you win. Now, the Twins could still lose
- 17:59and it may not matter, but again, hopefully they win
- 18:01tonight. And that's really how you can
- 18:03take advantage of the the, the colors lighting up telling you
- 18:07that the markets moving. And if you want to play it, you
- 18:10have about a 32nd window before it gets adjusted.
- 18:13So again, another example of how to identify steam with the odds
- 18:16logic live odds page. Again, now this line is upwards
- 18:19of -190 so again, shop around, try to find the lowest number.
- 18:23I did notice that circa over 90% of money line bets in dollars
- 18:26around Minnesota. So heavy smart money hitting the
- 18:28Twins. Twins do have that non division
- 18:31favorite value, lack of familiarity benefiting quote UN
- 18:34quote the better team. And the Twins have done very
- 18:36well against quote UN quote bad teams.
- 18:39When they play a below 500 team, they are 13 and 4.
- 18:44When they're favored against a below 500 team. 77 percent, 23%
- 18:49ROI. Twins going to bank on their
- 18:51pitching here. Hopefully Matthews keeps us in
- 18:53this one. Has a team ERA that Minnesota
- 18:56does of 3.17 out of the bullpen. That's the 4th best bullpen in
- 19:01baseball. 6.34 for the A's. That's the worst in baseball.
- 19:05Also last 10 days team ERA of 3.79 for Minnesota.
- 19:10Athletics have a team ERA of 8.79.
- 19:14Look at night games. This is I just look for
- 19:16discrepancy, something that jumps out to me.
- 19:18I didn't notice. Minnesota is 18 and 10 at night.
- 19:21The A's are 15 and 24 at night. So hopefully, you know,
- 19:26Wednesday Night Lights in the Sacramento Stadium benefit
- 19:29Minnesota and the A's are only 9 and 21 at home.
- 19:33Second worst home record in baseball.
- 19:35And I put home in quotation marks because again, they're
- 19:37waiting to, you know, this is like AI don't know what do they
- 19:41call it? A halfway house before they go
- 19:43to Vegas and then lastly popped open Juice Reel 23% sharp mush
- 19:50edge in favor of the Twinkies here.
- 19:52So big steam that we identified from the odd logic live odds
- 19:56page. Good heavy splits on Minnesota
- 19:59system matches better pitching day night again like night
- 20:05performance really benefits the Twins.
- 20:06I'm going to continue to fade the A's here in this spot can be
- 20:09Minnesota again. I got the -160.
- 20:13Upwards of -190 now at this point, so 3 bets tonight, let's
- 20:16try to find a way to get 2 out of 3 eek out a winning night.
- 20:19That is the goal. So that about does it for
- 20:22episode 292 of the All Systems Go Sports Betting podcast
- 20:26powered by Rhythm. This is the part of the pod, of
- 20:28course, where we wrap things up. And I start first as always, by
- 20:31saying thank you. Thank you for taking the time
- 20:34out of your day, out of your busy lives to pull up a chair to
- 20:36the virtual bar and sweat some sharp data-driven breakdowns
- 20:39with me. If you do enjoy the pod, if it's
- 20:41become part of your daily handicap, whether you're on the
- 20:44bus or at home or doing whatever, and you just put it on
- 20:47the background or maybe you, you know, pick out a better two.
- 20:50You want to, you want a tail or you can fade.
- 20:52You do whatever you like. But if you listen, I appreciate
- 20:54you. If you value the insights and
- 20:56want to help us grow the pod, could you think about giving it
- 20:59a five star review on Spotify or iTunes?
- 21:02Would go a long way to helping us to continue to grow the pod.
- 21:05If you want to leave a nice comment under the review
- 21:07section, I'll take it. If you want to click the follow
- 21:09button on Spotify or iTunes, that way you'll get alerted as
- 21:12soon as it drops each day. That would be awesome as well.
- 21:16Next, if you enjoy this style of betting breakdown, data-driven,
- 21:20sharp, contrarian betting, people always ask me like, who
- 21:22do you like tomorrow? And I'll say I don't know.
- 21:23I like whoever's sharp based on what the market is telling me.
- 21:26So if this approach has maybe solidified some things for you,
- 21:29hopefully you're starting to see some benefits of leaving your
- 21:32bias at the door, betting based on what the market is telling
- 21:35you, looking at bet splits, line movement, taking a contrarian
- 21:38approach, flat betting, not parlaying.
- 21:40If this style of betting is intriguing to you, or maybe you
- 21:44want to support the pod, or maybe there's someone in your
- 21:46life who you know bets on sports or wants to get into sports
- 21:48betting but has no freaking clue where to start.
- 21:51You know you should do. You should go to Amazon.com and
- 21:54type in the everything guide to sports betting.
- 21:57That's my first book I ever wrote.
- 21:58Very proud of it. It's great for new betters
- 22:01especially, but it's got everything I've learned in the
- 22:03industry. I've been working in sports
- 22:06betting since 2011. I guess I'm a veteran at this
- 22:08point. But anyway, it'll tell you and
- 22:11show you basically looking at line movement, how and why and
- 22:14how to read line movement, how to locate sharp action, how to
- 22:17go contrary and how to place a bet in person or online, how to
- 22:20shop for the best line, how to set up a bankroll management
- 22:22plan. It's all included in the
- 22:24Everything Guide to sports Betting.
- 22:26While you're on Amazon, then you should type in the NFL sharp
- 22:30betting playbook. That's my new book comes out
- 22:32August 12th. Cannot wait for you guys to
- 22:34check it out. I'm very proud of it and I must
- 22:37say I put a lot into it. So that's why I'm kind of
- 22:39excited for everyone to check it out.
- 22:42But it's all based on you know, how to bet the NFL from a
- 22:45data-driven perspective. So if you want to pre-order a
- 22:47copy of the NFL sharp betting playbook, you would make me very
- 22:50happy. You would make my publishers
- 22:52very happy and you can bring the everything guide in the Sharp
- 22:55playbook to the sports book. You can meet me at the the Nash
- 22:58in Nashville, New Hampshire. That's my local book now.
- 23:01And guess what? I'll sign them for you.
- 23:02Buy a beer or ginger ale. We'll get some nachos.
- 23:05We'll sweat some baseball together next.
- 23:08Have you downloaded Rhythm and Juice Real yet?
- 23:10My two favorite sports betting apps, Rhythm.
- 23:13Great job powering this pod, giving us AI backed models and
- 23:16predictions for game bets and player props.
- 23:18They have their brand new power trends, which are great if you
- 23:21want to bet NBA, you know, player props or MLB or WNBA is
- 23:26here. Of course, all located within
- 23:28the rhythm app and then of course Juice Reel.
- 23:31Juice Reel basically has so many different great benefits to it.
- 23:34The first one is if you enjoy the pod, I'm going to pass the
- 23:36hat. Anyone got a $5.00 bill they
- 23:38want to throw into the pod? Well, for $4.99 you can sign up
- 23:42to get the official best bet picks of the all Systems Go pod
- 23:45exclusively and only on the Juice Reel app.
- 23:48So I tweet about it each afternoon at Josh under score
- 23:51Insights with a link to the ASG Pods page or picks page, I
- 23:56should say on Juice Reel. You can also just download Juice
- 24:00Reel, click buy, sell bottom right corner and search ASG
- 24:03under score podcast. But again, you'll get every play
- 24:06for $4.99 a week. I consider it a tip jar.
- 24:09You like the pot, it's free. I'd love for you guys to sign up
- 24:12for that and hopefully you get good numbers like maybe when I
- 24:15put in Minnesota -160 you liked it and got the 160 again,
- 24:18hopefully get some CLV, but also Robo Jackson.
- 24:22Best bet picks each day provided by Juice Reel.
- 24:24The arbitrage plays, the sharp mush indicators.
- 24:27Shop for the best line future syncing up your sports books and
- 24:30get a running record of your action.
- 24:32It's all included in the Juice Reel app, so download Juice Reel
- 24:36and download Rhythm, give them a five star view in the App Store.
- 24:39Lastly, I mentioned it in with the example of the Twins game,
- 24:42but you got to have a live odds page.
- 24:44It's super, super important. I don't know how people bet
- 24:46without a live odds page, but you got to know, OK, the most
- 24:50basic question, what games are being played today?
- 24:52What sports are in action? What are all the start times?
- 24:55Live scoring Live in game wagering odds as soon as the
- 24:58games get going. Opening column never changes all
- 25:01the current numbers to the right.
- 25:02Track line movement, Identify steam, pull up the line history
- 25:06shop for the best price. All included when you sign up
- 25:09for Odds Logic. So I mentioned the link earlier,
- 25:11but if you want to give it a shot it's Odds logic.com/josh
- 25:16123. Odds logic.com/josh 1237 day
- 25:21free trial. 50% off your first month.
- 25:23So that about does it for episode 292 on a Hump Day
- 25:26edition of the ASG Pod. Again, we'll wrap it up here.
- 25:30I'll give you 2 final thoughts. One, whether I see you at the
- 25:33Borgata in Atlantic City, Twin River in Rhode Island, the Brook
- 25:36of New Hampshire, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun down in Connecticut
- 25:39at the Encore in Boston or Plain Ridge Park Casino or MGM
- 25:42Springfield in my neck of the woods in Massachusetts, or the
- 25:45Nash, of course, in Nashua, NH. Brand new sparkling Nash.
- 25:49It's pretty nice and not going to lie.
- 25:51Or also out in the desert where the true grinders get down, or
- 25:53Billy Walters sends his number runners where the lowest juice
- 25:56possible is found at the South Point.
- 25:58Or sweat and sharp contrarian plays jumping in the stadium
- 26:00swimming pool. When you catch a big ticket at
- 26:03Circa, wherever it may be, you're going to walk up to me.
- 26:05Show me a Cubbies ticket for Harry Carey.
- 26:08Show me a race ticket. Whatever you do.
- 26:11Tigers, man, I'm not. I'm not upset because it's a
- 26:13winning night. 2 and 1 + 0.41 units.
- 26:16But man, Tigers getting rolled by the White Sox.
- 26:18I know my guy Daroush out there somewhere smiling or crying.
- 26:22I'm not sure he's a White Sox fan.
- 26:24But anyway, guys, show me a Cubs ticket.
- 26:25Race ticket. First one's on me, next one's on
- 26:28you. A post about the book, sweatshop
- 26:29and train plays all night long. So wish you the best of luck,
- 26:33everyone. As always, Two and one, one and
- 26:35two, three and OO and three again.
- 26:38The previous night's results should not talk us into or out
- 26:41of a bet the next day. We got to continue to grind
- 26:44whether we're hot and we're feeling good.
- 26:46Still don't want to get arrogant or think we're better than we
- 26:49are when we're cold and things aren't going our way.
- 26:51Don't get down on yourself. Always continue to grind the
- 26:54blueprint because remember, always playing a long game.
- 26:57If we can find those games that fit our model against the
- 26:59public, with the house, with the pros flatbed, avoid parlays and
- 27:03get that CLV. If we can do that long term, I'm
- 27:06pretty confident we're going to be successful sports bettors.
- 27:09So have a great Wednesday, everybody.
- 27:10Let's get some winners on the diamond and then we'll be right
- 27:12back at it tomorrow for episode 293, Thirsty Thursday edition of
- 27:17the All Systems Go Sports Betting podcast powered by
- 27:20Rhythm. Good luck everybody and enjoy
- 27:23the sweats on the diamond.
