- 0:40right now. OK, so 10 Lesson on Physical
- 0:43Signs of Autism in Girls. So first I'm going to talk about
- 0:45sensory processing issues. Now girls will experience a
- 0:48sensory processing issues by being sensitive to touch sound
- 0:51like you know, seeking out sensory environments.
- 0:55Like they may really like plushies or or or like squish
- 0:58mellows or something like that. But then it did also have an
- 1:00aversion to things like Velcro or slime, which is really
- 1:03interesting because you have century seeking estudes.
- 1:04In the century avoiding attitudes as well, there was
- 1:06huge delay in motor skill development.
- 1:09Now this could be fine mode skills like picking up like pens
- 1:12or putting keys indoors to, you know, macro world where you try
- 1:15to pick up a glass and not drop it.
- 1:17There's a physical sign of autism that will present
- 1:18themselves in females #3 is difficulty with social
- 1:21communication. Girls who are on autism faction
- 1:23will have a difficulty in social communication, which will be
- 1:26more apparent when they're trying to write a letter,
- 1:28incident message or but do like an academic kind of
- 1:32conversational piece. This will be struggling for them
- 1:34because they will not really understand the social
- 1:36implications of a conversation. In social communication and
- 1:39before, it's repetitive behavior.
- 1:40This is kind of like doing the same thing over or again.
- 1:42It could be stemming rocking backwards and forwards, hand
- 1:45flapping, you know, tapping their fingers together,
- 1:48twiddling their fingers together, twiddling their hair a
- 1:50lot, eating their hair. This is all self estimatory
- 1:53behavior or stemming, which is a repetitive behavior, but it's a
- 1:56physical kind of manifestation that you could recognize and
- 1:58notice. Never find his difficulty with
- 2:00transitions as his transitioning from being at school to being at
- 2:03home or vice versa, or being at home to being at the grocery
- 2:06store, All these things become very difficult.
- 2:08And what you'll find a lot of the time is the girl will really
- 2:11avoid doing the thing that has to change.
- 2:13So we'll just stay at home. We'll pretend to be sick so they
- 2:15stay at home. This will happen a lot,
- 2:16especially in social situations. This will become more apparent.
- 2:19Number six is eating disorders. Actually, some girls will also
- 2:22will be picky eaters or have difficulty with food textures.
- 2:24Not to mention social pressure, peer pressure from school where
- 2:27it's more prominent in girls to have more anxiety around food
- 2:30since there's a social conventional with things like
- 2:33that for young girls, which is horrible, but it happens with
- 2:36autism. Girls are very well susceptible
- 2:38to that because of the neurological condition, the
- 2:40naivety of of social communication.
- 2:43Sometimes having sleeping issues as problems including like
- 2:45difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, regulating sleep
- 2:48patterns, actually hitting Bram is going to be difficult because
- 2:51the mind of an autistic female is going 1000 miles an hour and
- 2:53they are trying to regulate themselves constantly and could
- 2:57very well come out in sleep. Issues #8 is anxiety and
- 3:00depression with autism and neurological condition.
- 3:02It does coward mental health issues on anxiety and depression
- 3:05unfortunately as some of the ugly ones that do rear their
- 3:07head for autistic individuals who are female so #9 is an
- 3:11unusual walk. So some females Neilton spectrum
- 3:14may have an unusual walking style.
- 3:16Now this could be down to a multi delay or a sensory
- 3:18processing issue where they could be experiencing the
- 3:21feeling of walking on the floor. Quite uncomfortable and quite
- 3:24difficult. So #10 is Hypertonia.
- 3:26Now Hypertonia is a low muscle density or low muscle tone which
- 3:29is like a physical sign of autism girls.
- 3:31Which means the micro development for holding pens and
- 3:33other kind of small objects will be difficult because they'll
- 3:35have low muscle tone in their actual arms and they could be
- 3:38actually diagnosed with something called hyphen
- 3:39mobility. Also Now guys, if this video is
